I would like to say I got good meat, and I've cherished the fact that I make good meat.
Like, it's an art. You got to really know what you're doing, finances-wise.
So now the decisions you make have to be more sober.
You got more to lose.
That word is sober. I like being level-headed. You make better decisions.
I have not asked one person who's come here yet, and someone said no.
So it's prevalent in the crowd that you frequent.
My own girl's name was I, C-O-D.
A little bit of she.
I think 17.
I don't want to fall off the map like a lot of other artists have.
I want to make something out of this.
And I am making something out of this.
So, Xanax.
Thank you for showing up, man.
I really appreciate it.
Yeah, he's always.
What?
You do zanis?
Oh, you used to do Xanax.
Yeah.
I don't have pills at all no more, though.
That's slimmed me the pail.
I was really skinny.
Dude, skinnier than you want to now.
Yeah, that's bad, bro.
The reason you're on this is because you know people who have died of accidental overdoses, right?
Because their drugs have gotten laced with fentanyl, right?
And it's killing everybody.
And that's why I'm on this podcast.
That's why I brought you on because people care about what you think.
You get how many two million streams a month or something like that?
Yeah.
On your music?
A week.
A week.
Yeah.
Two million a week.
That's how many downloads you get.
Yeah.
Wow.
That's just Spotify, though.
That's not like everything.
I don't know how much it is everything.
I know it's way more than that on everything.
But I know, like, specifically, like, two, it's like two mil a week on Spotify.
So you're a big shot, dude.
19. Like, you've done it. Like, you're right there. Do you know what a J-curve is in business?
It's like you're putting money into it. You're putting money into it. Okay, you're starting to
break even and then you blow up. You're right there on the J-curve. You've already done this
and you're right here. You're about to blow up, man. Appreciate that. No, it's a fact.
Here, you want to know how you can make it a reality? For sure. Thank God.
in advance.
Close your eyes.
I want you to visualize this.
We're going to go through a visualization.
Okay?
You're there on stage.
You walk in and there's 50,000 people.
You're in Dodger Stadium and it's packed to the gills.
The last person that played there was Lady Gaga.
and you're following her.
And you come out and all this smoke comes out.
And you walk through the smoke.
And you just do it.
And everybody loses their mind.
And then you're done with that.
You ain't going to do the party thing
because you're not about that.
And you got other places to go.
You got things to do.
You got your next show.
Okay.
And you just finished your set here in L.A.
And you're on your way to Madison Square Garden.
And then you're going to work your way back.
So you leave this place, but this is the way you leave.
This is the way a big shot leaves.
You're right there in downtown.
So they take you, wow, they take you to this building, right?
With a helicopter pad and you get out.
You get on the helicopter, and they take you right to Santa Monica Airport,
where you get on your own private jet, and you go, you land right there at the private airport,
right there where a car is waiting for you.
And then, oh, Mr. Xanax, let me take your bags, as if you were carrying the bags in the first place, right?
And then you go right to the hotel.
and you're there at the four seasons on the top floor right waiting to go to mass in square
garden the next day the next morning for practice and then you're going to rock that show too
that's your future if you work for it and if you thank god in advance and if you cut off any other
possibility and the reason is is because you're 19 damn years old
which means you don't know what you can't do yet
so don't let anybody tell you what you can't do
because you can do anything you want to do
as long as you're not doing that stupid Xanax
I appreciate that bro
and also my name is
ecstasy not Xanax and I
I don't I don't
I know it's funny I know it's right
no that is so my fault
that is so my fault
I stand correct. Keep it in no. Keep it in
know. Keep it in no. I'm not, I don't want you
cutting out of shit, bro. I'm not touching
until ever again. Like, that shit really
through my life and I've seen
this shit that you do to other. It's like, I'm not
like I appreciate the fact of you talking to me in general.
I appreciate this.
Dude, I appreciate you talking to me
in general. My listener is going to love
this. You're freaking, I've been
tuned in. Are you good at basketball?
I'm cool. I'm cool. That sounds cool. I'm too.
Could you beat 2K, baby?
If you break every shot, yeah.
Dude, nobody beats that guy.
He's the best.
Nobody's better than him.
I put a rack on it.
So, last night I heard you did your first show.
Yeah, I rocked that out.
And I saw video of it.
It was awesome.
Thank you.
How did it feel?
At first, I'm not going to lie.
They were low-key pissing me the fuck off.
Like, when I got there, when I got there, it was cool.
because like I could tell people knew who I was.
I just wasn't going up to him.
Like I could see them staring at me and like smiling.
But before my set started.
But I didn't want to go up to them because I was, I needed to get drunk.
I'm just going to keep up.
But what's good.
It was like his first show of my nerves are a little high.
Liquid, liquid courage.
Yeah, the crown apple.
You know what's getting me though?
What's getting me is last night you did your first ever
concert and you're already getting
two million downloads a week
how the hell did that happen
first of all you got to be good in music like you can't be
in music and expect you know the results to come in
I would like to like to say I got good music and I've cherished
the fact that I make good music like it's an art and you got to really
know how to paint that picture.
A lot of these, because I've heard you not know
how to paint that picture. So that's one.
And then two, it's
a business to this.
Like, you,
you're a businessman, so you know,
like, business goals and everything.
So you got to really know what you're doing
finances-wise and
knowing what to accept and what
not to accept, like,
details-wise, like, when it
comes to certain, like, not
contracts, but like, just certain
performances and stuff.
The money has to sound right.
I'm pretty sure like you are a money right
might write. Money right sound a guy, correct?
I found right. Yeah.
Me? Hell yeah.
I got a lot of problems.
You got a lot of problems.
Money solves problems.
If I'm right.
More money, more problems.
Yeah.
You know?
I mean, you want it.
Your life's going to get big.
Careful what you ask for.
your life's going to get real big.
Your problems right now are big, you know, but they get bigger.
They get bigger.
I mean, you can tell right now that your problems have gotten bigger than, you know,
just looking for rent.
I mean, those are real problems.
But once you get that handle, now you've got something to lose.
So now the decisions you make have to be more sober.
Yeah.
Right?
because you got more to lose.
I honestly like, like that word is sober.
I could tie that into like something else.
Like I really don't.
I don't really begin like, but I'm going to go,
I like being level-headed.
I think like you make better decisions,
especially like when you got a point where you really need,
I'm in a point where I'm really making a lot of decisions.
So I haven't really been getting like fried.
I haven't just because I need to think.
I don't, a lot of people don't really, you're thinking like that.
They're just like getting hooked up all the time.
They all realize like, you know, you're really, you're really balanced it out.
You can't have all days where you're a lazy by doing anything.
You just fry this versus the days we're actually productive in doing it.
How many days out of the month would you say you're productive?
If it's a 31 day month, then, hey, let's just go 30 days so the math is easier.
Okay.
Then I say 25 because...
Really? No, no, slow down.
You really get 25 out of the 30 days
where you're productive and you lay low and regenerate.
Right on those five days?
Is that what you're telling me?
Yeah.
I do not get fucked up all the time.
Well, wait a minute.
Hold on it.
Whether you get fucked up or not is irrelevant because I'm not.
and I don't know if I have 25 days a month where I'm productive.
The thing is with me is like I can make music every single day no matter where I'm at
compared to another like work experience where somebody has to go into work and like they
might have an off day with me.
It's like I'm making so much music on a daily basis that if I made something, say I made like
10 songs, right? Two of them are mediocre. I can go back the next day and recraft them songs
and it's something beautiful and that's a productive day too because now I got those two songs.
And add on to say another four songs. I make a lot of music, bro. And it's productivity and
music just comes down to whether if, I say whether you got it or not. And I just like,
well, also, also it's whether or not you love it because if you love it, then you're going to do it
more and you're going to be more intentional about it, right?
I love me.
And it's not work, is it?
I mean, if you love it, you go to work every day and you've never experienced a day
of work in your life.
Absolutely.
Right?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's why you're going to be good at it.
Real good.
Real good.
Real good.
Pause.
Look at who we got.
We got someone who just got.
drafted, this kid's going to be an all pro.
Yeah.
We got you, we got Kobe right out of high school.
Let me get that gold jacket.
Let me get my gold jacket.
That was awesome.
That was awesome.
I like to think that I'm awesome ass.
You, dude, you are awesome.
You're definitely awesome.
I got the rich of take cosines.
My life is going on.
You do, dude.
Nobody gives a shit about my cosine.
That's people do, bro.
So let me ask you a question.
How did it feel your first show?
It felt like complete control.
Like, you can tell them if what the fuck you want them to do, like,
if the energy's not feeling good because I ain't go out, L.A. crowds.
And that was, that was, the front was dead as shit.
Right.
And I was asking people about it, and they said L.A. crowds are usually dead.
so I don't know if I'm going to do many performances here.
I don't go on.
I'd be sure if you were there, but other than that,
like, that crowd was horrible.
I had to tell them to bounce,
I had to build that energy up.
And once I felt like I had enough energy,
I kept performing, I had to cut the song
and call them out because they were dead.
And I was like, no.
I saw it.
You were at the beginning of it.
And, you know, they weren't, like, hyped up enough.
and you stopped it and you were so in control.
You made them bounce right away
and then you started up again.
I thought that was aggressive and in complete control
like you've been doing that for your entire life.
Thank you.
I had to do that.
I felt like because when I perform,
I don't feel like the same person that I feel like right now.
Right now, that's like intellectuals where I'm in the moment.
But when I'm performing out there, it's like, that's my, you know, like, this is going to go exactly how I want it to go.
And if it doesn't, correct, I got to change it.
So I did that.
It was, I did that for that song.
And then I guess I got there in respect or something because the second song, I only got to do two songs, sadly, because my others got corrupted.
But the second song that I did, all the energy was there.
They was rapping the lyrics along because they knew the lyrics to the second song.
They were rapping the lyrics.
I didn't have to tell them the joke.
or none of that. I didn't have to do anything. It was good. I also a couple of times where I wasn't
performing, I still went on stage to hype the crowd up for like somebody else set and stuff like that. He
doesn't have those videos because he wasn't there for that. But like, that's cool. That was cool.
Your team player. Hell yeah. I love the stage. I love performing. Like it's just, it feels ripe
when I do that. I want to go back to the fentanyl thing, right, that we were talking about
before right when you got here i bet you know we're having an epidemic with fentanyl right especially in
the underground rapsy i have not asked one person who's come here yet um if they knew someone
who died of fentanyl and someone said no so it's prevalent in the crowd that you frequent right
yeah you know anybody who's died of fentanyl i do it's because uh we're
Where I'm from, it, like, the epidemic of fentanyl, like, is majority Philly and Baltimore.
And I'm from Baltimore, so it's, like, really prominent there.
So I know a couple people that OD off of this.
Has Trank made it there yet?
As what?
Trank.
Probably.
It's fentanyl mixed with animal tranquilizer.
They freeze and stuff.
They slump over, like, zombie.
Yeah.
It's more Philly than Baltimore.
Philly dirty.
It's more Philly.
But in Baltimore, it's definitely there, especially you go down to the harbor.
And if you go up by this place called Lexington, you go up there.
It says you be seeing, I used to see, I saw one of one in New York, too, oddly enough.
Like a zombie.
Yeah, just like, you literally just feel like we left, went to Joe's and got all this other.
came back to the hotel like six hours later still slumped over there just with piss running down our leg i was
like you got to look at these people and really focus in they will have an open sore on their body
somewhere and you'll be able to see the bone that's crazy right and what they do is they inject it
inside the open wound because for whatever reason it feels the best i don't really understand it yet
You know, but it's coming.
You know, it's coming to a suburb near you.
But yeah, man, so tell me about first names only.
Tell me about someone that you knew who died of fentanyl.
My own girl's name was Iza.
I know, there's a C-O-D.
Yeah.
How old was she?
I think 17.
17?
I think
Where'd she live?
Lultimore?
No
She's from here
Oh, I'm gonna grow up
Where was she from?
Cali
Callie
That's real, bro
It's real
It's crazy
I don't fuck
That's why I don't touch
Nothing
I don't touch
Because like
I don't touch
No pills
Only get off
Only liquor
Because like liquor
Like liquor is always
That's just alcohol
Like, I'm not, you get alcohol poisoning, but that's if you drink too much.
You got to know your limit.
And then just, Zah.
Like, we, I just smoked a drink.
But I don't know what I do is a dozen people.
And I've seen what it can do to, so I'm not with this.
What's this little girl's name again, the 17-year-old?
Issa.
Issa?
Yeah.
Were you close with her?
Does she have her parents alive?
I don't know.
You don't know?
No, I don't know.
I don't know.
Oh, she's 17 years old, so was she living at home with her parents?
No, she was with her cousins.
But I know, I think her mom was alive for sure, though.
For sure.
Wow.
A woman buried her baby girl.
I hope not.
That sucks.
I would never want no parent to, like, have to bury.
their kid first.
Like that sucks.
They did have to bury their kid.
Yeah.
So my condolences
go up there.
That's the thing. That's how they usually
be getting them off. That's why
I don't put up with pills. Because they
press pills. Like, pressing
pills, the fake pills, that's just crazy.
It's like a whole epidemic is just press
pills. And that's how a lot
of people be overdosing because
of the press pills.
You can't fuck with pills.
no more unless like you're getting it for like directly from the like a script like unless you
have a script for it you should not be doing pills no more right so unless you're getting it from a pharmacy
or a doctor yeah unless you have a prescription because they they they press pills so much so much
the powder too yeah like I I know I'm pretty sure like people be snorting that and then they end up dying
from that because they snorted fucking sometimes it don't think it's coke some people might think it's
it's cork that but the coke has fentmo in it too exactly that's all how you can't get what anything
nowadays anything anything you get on the street you can't anything it doesn't have a smell i'm pretty
sure that fent doesn't have a smell either so you can't even like that's why i don't you can't buy is
you got only the dispensary that's that's why i stopped smoking for a long time because my i got laced
because I couldn't, I smelled the, I couldn't even smell the actual, the fent.
You can't, you can't smell it.
So, they could kill anybody else.
It's crazy.
So your weed was laced with fentanyl.
Yeah.
How'd that feel?
That's the worst day in my life.
I was with my friends, and this before we had a car, so we had to, like, all, like, take
the buses and stuff to see each other, took a bus to my friend, one of my old friends' houses,
and we just walked to the train station to smoke.
But before we got to the train station, I rolled up.
And it did not.
Like, I was just smoking for a little while.
So, like, it's not, I know when something's off.
And that's off immediately.
Like, it was, I kept falling, like, sinking into my body.
And then I froze.
Like, I kept walking.
And then it was, like, I kept falling in my body,
so I'll keep freezing, like that.
And my friends, they had to keep.
keep waking me up while we were walking to the thing.
And it was the scariest moment in my life.
I'm not going to love.
Like, I literally, when we got to the, we didn't even get to the train station.
We got to a storage facility on the way there because I was way too, I couldn't go
any further.
I was too high.
They asked me if I was okay.
And I was like, yeah, they wanted to go to the store.
So they asked me if they could go.
And I said, yeah, I really didn't want them to leave, but I told them, yeah, because I, like,
I honestly don't know why I said yeah I was so high but they left so I was just in the storage
facility with bugs all over me and just tweaking the help were there really bugs or were you
hallucinating I don't know I was like I quite literally I got up because I was sitting in the grass
at first I got up and I went to the middle of the lot because the middle of the lot had the little
the levers that you got to scan through to get inside the facility had one of those and I was standing
right beside it there was no guard there because it's like you're you're like you
you check yourself in type.
But I was just sitting there and I called my dad
because that was the only number I could think of by heart.
I couldn't remember nothing else.
It was only my dad's number.
I called my dad and he came and picked me up in 15 minutes.
And he was so mad.
Not at me.
He was mad at my friends, but he was so mad because they just left me there.
He's like, he said, even though they say yes, even though I say yes,
they still said that we're staying with you anyways.
But they didn't do that.
so he was mad.
Do you know that when you were describing that walk,
that I was on that walk with you?
This is like the most enriching,
enrichment-filled, like, activity I've had in so long.
This has been very, very, very, very entertaining.
What do you do with your $20,000 a month?
I do got to pay for travel.
I'd be paying for travel.
It's so annoying.
Okay, how much you pay for travel?
travel a month. Don't say 21 or I'm going to snap. So it's like maybe like five plus
on early. It's just travel and then one where their expenses like groceries and the
eating dollars. That's expensive. People don't pay to fly you out. No, no. Sometimes yeah,
but all the times. I'm irritated. All right. So check this out. You got your money in the
bank. Ron. How much interest you get on the money? I think I got 1.8%? Okay. I love that
You know it.
Okay?
You need to get with a wealth manager.
Okay?
Because the second you get with a wealth manager, he'll have access to, I think I get about
5% a month.
Okay?
And I'm not an investor, right?
First of all, I'm 58, so I can't lose my principal, right?
So I need it all for my business.
So I use that.
But you're not.
Okay?
And you don't need 20 grand a month.
That's insane for a 19-year-old.
It's insane.
Okay?
It doesn't matter where you are at 19.
What matters is where you are at 49.
39.
Right?
I mean, that's what matters.
Right?
So unless you're going to let your money build and let it work for you,
you this this rat has a limit on it right you you got to you love it but you got to get what it is
you want out of this so that you can build the life you've always wanted that you've always
dreamt of this thing may last for 10 15 20 years who the hell knows but you're making good money now
and you need to establish good habits.
Now, being fiscally responsible is the most important lesson
that you can learn, and they don't teach you that in school.
They don't.
Okay?
If I were you, I'd be dollar cost averaging every month into the S&P and the NASDA.
Okay, never going to get hurt that way.
Your money's going to build on itself, okay?
And if I were you, I would take half of your money and make certain that it goes every single month into that.
Because at the end of the year, you don't have 120,000, you got 150,000.
Okay?
Yeah.
That's how that works, right?
And then your money will build on itself, right?
I mean, what do you people say, what are you going to do with your first million?
Reinvest.
You got to reinvest your first million.
You're not supposed to spend it.
The mistake most athletes make with the first million is that they spend like 250,000 of that on like, Beamer or something.
No, they don't.
Like, if they have, if they have my, one of my best friends is one of the biggest sports agents in the world.
Okay.
I've sat there while someone forget their signing bonus or anything like that.
I've sat at a dinner table with him while he was writing a check for someone for $5,000
so he could get his Mercedes delivered right after the game.
instead of waiting
48 hours
to get their paycheck.
It's a dumb stuff.
This is so...
I wouldn't even talk to my friend for a week.
It's just lazy.
It's setting up bad habits, right?
It's not, it's co-signing people's stupidity
and you either want what's best for them or you don't.
And I've don'tkeed off, I don't know,
fortune after.
fortune okay and why not you know i mean i just learned certain things over the last seven and a half
years right that and most people hide the ball i don't want to hide the ball you know i got a lot
of kids come in here right now that i am so grateful to right because you guys are putting out the
message that you know that buying drugs on the street is dangerous yeah and i'm
I love that about you guys.
You guys come here with a good soul and an open heart
and really to genuinely do right
because it's your friends that are dying.
Yeah.
You know, everybody's dying.
So anyway, thank you for that.
And just do me a favor, man.
You're 19 years old.
You're just starting out.
The habits that you build now are going to last the rest of your life.
Yeah.
Okay.
The thing is, I'm not telling them to not do them because, like, they're not going to listen.
Like, they're going to do drugs or girls.
I'm just saying, don't buy them on the street.
Like, you know, get a script.
Even if you're getting a script off somebody grim or something, like, just get a script in general.
That's, dude, I got to stop you because that was the most genius thing ever that you said.
Because I get beaten up all the time.
These guys are faded when you're talking to them.
you're glorifying pot smoking, that's not at all what I'm doing.
What I'm doing is medically assisted treatment.
Yeah.
Okay?
If these guys want to smoke pot to stop from doing street drugs and killing themselves,
I think that's a good deal.
And I don't apologize for it.
So thank you for saying.
Gee.
Oh.
Well, you know that we're,
here this is dude we're here to showcase uh your breakout man i'm telling you you're about ready to
blow up you are you come to uh i guess you take us to cochella when i do cochella and all that
super bowl will take us when i do super bowl you so much i'm going to give that right to my kids
yeah you think your kids uh well they're probably grown they're probably like in the 20s i would
presume because i'm sold
No, no, I'm trying to estimate because my kids are 45.
For real?
No.
So either you had them in your 30s or 20s, and if you had them in your 20s, then they
would be in their 30s, but if you had you in your 30s, it would be in their 20s.
Dude, I lost 25 years to smoking crack, okay?
Trust me, I ain't got no 30 and 20-year-old kids.
I got a 15-year-old and an 11-year-old, and I'm lucky to have them.
Yeah, it's all, man.
You know what I'm saying?
I've heard that when people get older,
they don't really got the shooter left in the tank,
but you're proving them wrong, man.
You got the, you know what I'm saying?
Just like that.
Dude, that's so funny that you say that.
That is hysterical.
What do you doing next, man?
I want to start a music video company.
I want to make music videos
because I know my creative vision
and creative direction is there.
And I could definitely,
and I know the mind of all the, you know,
the artist.
So if I learn the artist's mind,
I could work perfectly with the artist.
When I'm done with all this,
I'm going to be sitting on millions
and just have a music video company,
you know what I'm saying?
Me and my girl are going to do architecture.
She's really in the architecture.
So we're going to be making houses.
Just to sum up,
you're 19, okay?
Remember when we talked about habits,
becoming financially literate, right?
You've committed to that.
That's amazing.
Okay, so you didn't just appear on a podcast.
Okay, you got a little direction.
I'm sure you don't I choose to use it.
I think you're going to be better off.
It's just like a life lesson.
I'm going to use it though.
Because like I don't want to fall off the map like a lot of other artists have.
I don't want to make something out of this.
And I am making something out of this.
I'm going to continue making something out of this.
All right, bro.
Where can people reach you?
My Instagram.
Well, just everything is ex.
T-S-Y.
X-T-S-Y.
Yeah, ecstasy.
That's ecstasy for the guy that doesn't do ecstasy.
Oh, I did it a couple times.
I know, buddy.
