Starting point is 00:01:21 You said something about there being a knocking in your basement? Yeah in my basement. Knocking in my basement. You think you got ghosts? I think I got gas. Well, that's why I brought, um, I don't know, gas sex? No, no, no, no. Tums.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Yes. You know, I briefly had a tums addiction. It was not great. Oh, man, that, that, that, that, th. You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. th. thi. th. thaa. tha. thi. tha. thi. tha. thi. tha. tha. I briefly had a tum's addiction. It was not great. Oh, man. Yeah. If you can't, you just can't eat a whole bunch of them every day for a long period of time, and then stop eating them, you will not poop. I called them bedtime candies. I switched to gummy vans.
Starting point is 00:01:57 You know, they make candy. You can just eat candy right before you the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. You just, thi. thi. thi. thi. You just, you just, you just, you just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You just. You. You. Just just just just just just can just just just just can't just just just just just just just just just just just Yeah. But I like to have a justification, you know. You can just eat candy right before you go to bed. I'm sorry, this is not where you thought this intro was going, did you? No, but I expected an exorcism and instead it's an intervention. So I wasn't. I'm off the tums. I'm really glad to hear that you have. Oh yeah, yeah, the knocking in my basement. Yeah. Well, I mean before we do that, do you want to play the game that everyone's familiar with?
Starting point is 00:02:30 By the way, this is an episode of WhereWulf Ambulance, I'm Alan. We're a show, I'm Katie. And we're here to talk about a movie. Before we talk about that movie, before we talk about that movie, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, to to to to to to to that, that to tho, tho, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, thi, thi, clap that game that everybody knows about was that a game was that a real thing or did they make it up for this movie it's not a bad concept no I like kind of liked it yeah Marco Polo with clapping whoa you're right land Marco Polo we're here to talk about the James Wan directed the conjuring you love this movie yeah Yeah, Amityville Horror part
Starting point is 00:03:05 Amityville Horror. Yeah, with Joe Lies when he cries, lady from the haunting. And fucking office space. I love Ron Livingston and I will not hear a bad word about him. Well we're going to. I won't hear them though, okay? Like you can say them but I just won't hear them. Yeah. Do you know where I am? Right next to me. You just looked at me while you did that. I see you though. It's not how the game works. I don't think. But this is the story of them helping a family made up of Joe Lies and office space. Yeah. And uh, 36 kids. And they're 319 kids. It's like a reality show of worth of children. It's like Project Runway for Kids. It's just so many, there's so many children. Things got different in the house this year.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Boys in the house. Not Project Runway. theymeat's, their to'nigh. that's a threat. That's America's next top model. Project Runways where they make clothes and Timgun says, make it work. And I love him. I do love him. He's great. Oh, his hit Gets Better video.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Just totally made me cry. It was amazing. Oh, really? Oh, I didn't see. I don't think I could watch that. No, no. I just love. would see and you'd be like, oh yeah, that guy. I don't have that feeling about him, but I definitely think he's an attractive, no. That guy, but he's like regular looking, like you would know, you could know him.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Sure, sure, sure, he's the boy next door. Yeah, I guess so. I feel like, nice of a man next door. I'll just get into it right now. I feel like this movie. I feel like this movie. He he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's, he. He. He. He's, he. He. He's, he. He's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he are happening, he's gone, well what do I do? It's like I got this pizza, I don't know, fuck you. What do I do know? What's gonna happen? Sometimes it just knocks like this. I've got my sunny bono wig on so let's just go and do this. That wig. So this family is, yeah, they're a family. Well first we see the doll. Oh, let's start off. It opens on the doll and the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll the doll. It opens up the doll. It opens up. It opens up. It opens up. the doll. the doll. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. I'm gonna rage explode and I'm gonna try not to do it but if I do. You know we're fine explode it's fine. If I do huge ratings. Huge ratings. How many nerd explosions have the bin on broadcasts? Probably a lot to be honest with you a lot. So yes tell me about Annibal Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann Ann. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. th. th. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. th. th. th. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. the. th. the. th. th. th. th. the. th. th. the. th. the. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. tell me about Annabelle. Yeah, it's a doll.
Starting point is 00:05:26 It's a real dick. It's real ugly. It's real ugly. And for some reason, these student nurses give it a bunch of crayons. And I don't know why. Why did you give that to all those crayons? I thought it stole the crayons. Where did they? Why they have? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have? they have. they have. they have. they have. they have. they have. they. they have. they have. they have. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. their. their. their. th. the. the. the. A. the. A. A. tod. the. A. the they. the the their. their. their. A. A. A? Sure. The next note I have says that demon trying to fuck you, but I don't know why. Probably because they were
Starting point is 00:05:49 he says, I'm like the demons trying to get inside you and I was like, yeah, fuck that demon. Maybe the wind chimes attracted the demon because wind chimes are for dicks. I don't have the same problem with windjoms, but I do like that you're consistent in your hatred of wind chimes. I don't hate a lot of things, but I hate the things I hate with a lot of hatred. So pretty quickly in this house, they find like the secret entrance to the basement? Yeah. Where the furnace is? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Had that thing never been serviced? Had it never been repaired? Were the one one one one one one one ever like where's the fucking furnace yeah when you're buying a house do not see what's going to heat that house that's what you look at they take you on a tour and show you this thing yeah this is what it is yeah then they point at and I say this is what it is well it is well it says at some point I think later on in the film they kind they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the the the the the th is the the the the the the the the the the the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th is th is th is th is th is th is th is the the the the the that the that that that that's that's that's the that's the the the that's the the that's the that's the that's the. That's fine, but like... You then have people come out and look at the house. But also like, someone who lived there before with the furnace. It's a furnace. It's a furnace. It's a furnace. It's a furnace. You have five children that you need to make sure are heated in Rhode Island in the winter. That's right. I got a little bit of Rhode Island in there. Yeah. I like a little bit of a road the the the the the the the the the road the road the road the road the road the road the road the road the road the road thi. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. I. I. I the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It. F. the f. th. the f. the f. the furn. the furn. the furn. th. th. the furn. the furn. the furn. the furn. th. the f. that. I like that. And then the ghosty stuff starts happening, which is like a mysterious creaking door, like a, ah, ah, ah, which is so, are you afraid of the dark? And I kind of like that.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Yeah. I like an are you afraid of the dark. This movie is very, very, very referential. Yeah, there's a lot of things that reminded me of other things for sure. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the th. th. th. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. the thi. the the thi. the the thi. the the the thi. thi. th. the th. th. th. th. keep flying into the house? Are they pigeons? Dobs? I don't know. Pigeons are so fucking dumb, though. You know what I mean? Like, how often do you almost hit a pigeon with your car or with your feet because they just don't get out of the way? I don't think they're dumb.
Starting point is 00:07:33 I think they have a fuck you attitude like what? What are you gonna do? What are you gonna do? There's hundreds where I came from. Yeah, there used to be a woman downtown who was feeding pigeons like outside the Port Authority place where you go to buy your connect card. Yeah. And she would just throw seed everywhere and it would be like fucking thousands of pigeons. It was like that scene in home alone too. It was awful. Awful. She's the wet band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band band too. It was awful. Awful. She's the wet bandit now. Yeah. Can I give James Juan a compliment? I probably not. Dude does jump scares so good. Yeah. Those things coming into the scene and scaring you? Excellent. Nails it. So the family plays this game called hide and clap, which I have the note was hide and seek copywritten and therefore you couldn't use it in your movie. Well I feel like
Starting point is 00:08:27 the way they ended up using it was really scary. Really effective, yeah, hands and the, yeah, I loved that. I loved it. Yeah. There's also a shot that I really liked where one of the girls is looking under her bed and it's like an upside down to right side up to the bed the the the the the the the the the the to to to to the to the to the to to the to the to to to the the to the to to to to the to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the to to to to to to tooomch. Yeah, tooomch. Yeah, tooompeck. Yeah, tooomped. Yeah, toe. Yeah, toe. Yeah, toe. Yeah, toe. Yeah, toe. I I I I I I I I I I I, tie, tie, tie... I I I I I I, tie. I, tie. I, tie. I was, te, te, te, te, te. I'm, te. I'm, te. I'm, tea. Yeah, tea. Yeah, tea'ea'eck. Yeah, tea'eck. Yeah, te. Yeah, t bed to Yeah upshot and I thought it was really really good. They did one of my favorite things which is someone staring into blackness and saying something's there but not showing me what's there. Yeah. Yeah. Love a show don't show. Yeah. Yeah. That scene was really scary. Very scary. Very scary. He said he wants my family dead.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Really chewing up this scene, kid. She's overacting to try and pick Rod Livingston up a little bit from his stupor. He's like, what's dead? What's dead mean? Wait, is there a family here? Where'd you all come from? Why do I have so many of you? Have some pizza. You just took that fuck it attitude from office space right into this movie. It's true. If you could do anything you would do nothing at all. So. I really like Lorraine Warren's outfits in this movie. I love her hair. Yeah. I was basically trying to do that with my hair. Oh nice. It does not, it's not right. I feel like there's a th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. th. to to to to to to to to to have to have to have to have to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. the. the. thooooooooooooooooooooooooo. te. the. the. too. too. the. the. too. the basically trying to do that with my hair. Oh, nice. It does not, it's not right. I feel like there's a lot of curlers involved and getting that shit, right?
Starting point is 00:09:46 I don't have those. I don't have those or fingers that can make hair. I do have fingers that can make hair. One thing at a time. Ah, my hair! My hair! So, what are we doing? I don't know. Imagine if just like vacation memories could save you from a demon. Like not Latin, not God, not priests, vacation photos. I mean, they're at least real.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I guess so. It's true. Can we talk about the cop? That's big butted cop? Really into asses today. Just wanna talk about dude butts today. Do you think he jerked off in that room full of the artifacts? Phrush. Ph! I do. I think you did. In fact, I'm sure you did. Yeah. Probably. Yeah. That's all. So let's leave one haunted house and move on to another.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Haunted. Haunted. I guess you probably got that from the earlier part of the sentence. We are now going to do some best of bits from paranormal activity. Also, there's a song in here from my old band with Katie's husband Rob, who you remember from the Blair Witch episode. So go down the load that and listen to that as well. Yeah, so paranormal activity. Oh, these are just sound effects. This is a whole movie. It's just sound effects. Do you like it? Oh, I guess you do.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Oh, no. Oh, no, God. He's joking. What? Did you hear that? Do you like it? Oh, I guess you do? Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Oh, no. What? Did you hear that? th. He's joking. What? Did you hear that? Hear what? Was it this? Hmm. It sounds like you're starting a song I might want to listen to. Yeah, I guess it's not bad.
Starting point is 00:11:57 It actually sounds like the beginning of one of your onodrum songs. You know that one where the drums would kick in like... So that's weird. movies about sound effects do you guys like fully work? This is a movie about sound effects. I was gonna play it off that I'd accidentally watched paranormal wactivity which is on Netflix. What is that? It's a parody of paranormal activity where people are just trying to fuck we can cuss again fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck that fuck fuck that fuck that fuck fuck that's that's that's so good that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. Oh, that's fucking fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. Fuck. That's so good, though. Let's work on a song that uses the...
Starting point is 00:12:49 Fuck, fuck, fuck. Fuck, fuck. We're like adults. We're like adults that do this for fun. Yeah, don't watch paranormal wactivity because it's like, oh, it'll be funny. I'll watch a little bit th. F th. F th. F, th. F, th, th, f f f f f fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, f- f-fut, f-foc, f-foc, fuck. th, fuck. th, thu, f-fuck, fuck. th, fuck. that, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, th-fffffffffffffffffffffffuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, thu, thu, tho, th like, oh it'll be funny, I'll watch a little bit of it to see what's going on. And it just starts with the dude jerking off. That's funny though, isn't it? I mean, I guess it depends on who you ask.
Starting point is 00:13:13 And we start off on September 18th, 2006. A good time. Fine time. Ten years ago? The Steelers won the Super Bowl? Oh, who knows? Earlier that year they did. I hadn't moved to Pittsburgh yet so I was not inundated with Steelers information. What year did you move here? 2007. Oh, we became friends like right away. Oh, that's cool. I thought you'd always been here. I mean not always but I didn't realize it was so close to your arrival. I'm like Jack Torrence. I. I. I. I. I. I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I that that that that that that that that that that that that that's that's that's that's that's that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th. Torrance. You go to visit the Epitpring Incline. There's a picture of me from 1920 hanging out there. That's a cool party you were at though, on the incline. When I was like four, I was on the incline with my mom and this creepy man leaned over
Starting point is 00:13:58 and he goes, the cables only snap sometimes. I don't know why he said it like Tony. But he didn't say it like that but he said it to me and I was like hmm. I think about it every time I look at the incline which is every day of my life because Pittsburgh. Imagine if you just went around terrifying children who are with their mothers too. My mom was like, mm. She was like, they probably do. I don't know. You're gonna die someday. And I was like, yeah. And here I am now. Totally alive. Totally. Totally. Yeah, but demons were real popular then, right?
Starting point is 00:14:44 Well, like ghost hunters were always like, oh, this isn't a ghost. You got a demon. Oh, shit. Come at me, demon, bro. Oh, shiko's are on fire right now. Because there's a demon. Jingos are pretty sweet though, aren't they? I know. They're coming back. They're coming back. They get more fabric for your money. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:15:05 More fabric for your money? Are they coming back? I wondered if they were going to make it come back. I think they're back. I think literally Jinko's brand is back. I remember this woman that I worked with at Borders Books and Music. Not coming back. In 19195, Katie. The Year of Our Lord. Yeah. And no, no, not many. And she literally had drinkos that were so big you couldn't see her shoes.
Starting point is 00:15:27 I like that, though. Do you? It's a good look. Skinny jeans are just... Oh. I just, I'm not, I wear them, but they're not great for me. It looks like a cannel a slim fit gene myself. I miss, I think I miss a boot cut.
Starting point is 00:15:48 I think a boot cut really flatters my size. Okay. Not my size, my shape. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Faggy pants just make me look like a mountain. See, you could really take advantage of that though. Like menace people, cut in line in the bathroom. I feel like clean- days are behind me. I'm clean-shaven now, I'm just like,
Starting point is 00:16:07 I'm losing my mind. That's a new, newest development though. You can grow back and get me. Yeah, it's gonna be back in like a week. Yeah, there's just be a dick. Be a dick once you. One thing that may be really happy about this movie, a total gross bot 1000? Why are dudes so gross about video camera? Just like, I'm gonna fuck you? You know? You're not rage, get over yourselves. You're asking a person who, the idea of seeing myself at a sex tape is the grossest thing I can imagine. I can't even like, why,
Starting point is 00:16:38 I just don't understand why anybody would want to make a sex tape. Of themselves. That's like that they look like, you know, like honeymoon- like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the.a. A. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. the. the. the. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the sex tape. Of themselves. That's like that they look like, you know, like honeymoon sweets or whatever, having like mirrors on the ceiling, like who wants to see your butt? Who wants to see your butt? No one. You know that deaf leopard song where he goes, when we make love, do you look in the mirror? That's the grossest thing. That's almost as gross as the pearl tab lyric says, uh, seem to recognize your breath. Ew, ew, ew, ew.
Starting point is 00:17:06 Ew, ew. That's a person who just ate half a bag of white cheddar popcorn, I find that so gross. It's supposed like coffee and palatosis. Yeah. Um. It seemed to recognize your breath. But when we make love, do you look in the mirror?
Starting point is 00:17:21 Here's a thing that I like to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do the mirror? Here's a thing that I like to do, though, with songs where love is a noun instead of a verb, is change it to lunch. We make lunch. Do you like making lunch. I sing that to my cousin Vicky all the time. Feel like making lunch for you. Boom. Feel like making lunch. Bad Company is a bunch of them.
Starting point is 00:17:47 I can't get enough of your lunch. This is the way no one lunches me. I lunch you, Katie. I lunch you, too. So they're setting up this camera. Alan, when I think about you. I think about you. I think about lunch. I think about lunch.
Starting point is 00:18:07 I'm just. If you could have seen the passion in Katie's face. I had to lean away from the mic because I could see you later editing it and like shaking your head and rick on you. I'm just going to turn it up and add reverbs. Alan, if I live without you, I live without lunch. All right, I swear that's it. I love the singing in that episode so very much.
Starting point is 00:18:39 All right, on to the last bit for this episode. This is gonna be a bit of a shorter one than the previous two baby breaks, because it's hot and I'm gonna go to the last bit for this episode. This is going to be a bit of a shorter one than the previous two baby breaks, because it's hot and I'm going to go to the pool. And I hope you all are finding ways to cool off in the heat or, you know, whenever you're listening to this it may be the dead of winter. But, so for the last bits, we're going to do stuff from the Damned, 2002 New Metal Vampire, Alia Rest in Peace movie. This is ridiculous, so if you like this, go back and listen to the full episode. I will see you after this.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Hey Katie. Hey Alan. How are you? I'm doing all right. How are you? Um, I'm dead. Oh, you're dead. Yeah, I'm the'm dead Katie. Oh, you're dead! Oh, my God! I'm the living dead.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Oh, fuck. Yeah, it's kind of a bummer. For, like, for how long? I mean, I don't know, like I wasn't this way when we recorded shivers, but I am now. So when I went to the bathroom? Sure, a week. th been really upsetting, Missy. She wants to talk to you about it. I died while watching the movie Queen of the Down.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Oh, God, I'm so sorry. No, it just sucked my soul out of my body and I died. No more will, no. No, no. Oh, and I didn't write out a wheel either. thii. to. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. to. to. to. to. to. to. to to to to to to to to the to the to to the to the to the to the to to to the to to to to to to to to to to the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. the the theea. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thea.ea. the tha. really can't, like, you know, take my stuff yet. I'm still here. No. You might want to just record your will here, but we'll get to that at the end of the episode. We're putting that in the, in the, in the, in the liner notes. But it's nice. It's nice now because I'm rich. Or is it rich in monies? Oh no, you, this velvet smoking jacket I thought would let you know that I am... Oh shit, where did you get that?
Starting point is 00:20:26 I didn't even notice you were wearing it. Oh, that's because I moved in bullet time and ran and grabbed it and came back. I can't wait to talk about that. So, uh, welcome to another episode of, well, have to. I'm an aristocratic vampire. I can do what I will. I don't think that's going to be great for the show for you to ignore me. But oh my god. Well, listen, I guess that's this episode. We're here to talk about the film Queen of the Damned, starring Rest in Peace, Alia. This was a posthumouse release for her. Yeah. I'm kind of glad on one level. What? And she didn't have to see this movie. Well, you know what's interesting is...
Starting point is 00:21:09 I wish she had seen this movie. I wish she was still alive. Yeah, that's a terrible thing to say. Yeah, it's a terrible thing to say. Beautiful voice, beautiful woman. sound to it? Yeah. It's because it's her brother. It's her brother and they like used basically some sort of early, you know, auto tune to make him sound more feminine. Oh wow. Yeah, because it's similar like, you know, voices, but... So he had to do a shitty French accent? What the fuck was she doing? His accent is more pronounced than hers too, which I noticed as the movie. Yeah, although she has like 15 lines and she doesn't show up until like fucking an hour into
Starting point is 00:21:46 this movie. And I was like, where is a like, oh, gorgeous. Do you remember where you were when she died? I don't know. I didn't have the attachment that you probably did. I did, yeah. I had been at college for like friends, and I was like trying to be cool, you know? And we were in the hallway of our dorm, and the RA came out to yellow at us,
Starting point is 00:22:07 and I was like, we're having a vigil for Leah. And this girl was like, oh, you're funny. And I was like, I will cultivate this. I will be funny. Now, I do this podcast. Yeah, so 22 years, it was a plane crash, right? Yeah. I think they had too much weight on the plane and the pilot, I wasn't the driver. The pilot was like on cocaine. Fuck.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Yeah. That is, that is, she had a very sad life too for a lot. I mean, the R. Kelly married when she was 15 and forged on the marriage certificate saying that she was 18 and then her parents had it annulled and then afterwards she would like never speak of him and like if asked about it she would just be like I'm not talking about that. So everybody who thinks Archelie's funny? Yeah, it's so shitty because I hear like, you know remix to admission I'm like I love this song song I hear I'm a flirt and I'm like, oh you're a monster You're a bad guy big fan of sex in the kitchen, but I can't anymore. I can't justify it
Starting point is 00:23:11 I know But if you took out every if you stop listening to every song that was written or performed by a monster you have like almost nothing off The Osmonds The Carpenters The Carpenters, the carpenters, you've got um, jars of clay probably. So I don't know, like, yeah, it's, well, whatever. So, I don't know, like, yeah, it's, well, whatever.
Starting point is 00:23:41 So, God rest her, a lea's soul. Beautiful woman, beautiful voice, great dancer. Yeah, she had all those timmelins and miss, whatever. So, God rest her, Elias' soul. Beautiful woman, beautiful voice, great dancer. Yeah, she had all those Timmelin and Missy songs. Yeah, goddame, she was great. She was at her hair over one eye, which I really liked. Yeah, yeah, I think that in this movie, like seeing her full face, so it was like, little startling, yeah. missing though? The musical stylings of corn? Fuck you, Jonathan Davis.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Is that the guy's name? How do you know that? It's the singer from Corn. How did you know it? Because his name is all over this movie. Oh really? I didn't see it. Oh, I just was blanking. So, can we talk about the premise of this film?
Starting point is 00:24:16 If you want to t was nothing new to interest him or some horseshit. Oh is that why? I thought he was just okay go on. But he's laying in his crypt and he hears a new sound that he has to get involved with which is new metal. Yeah. Jogunk. Gug-gunk. Gug-gunk. And the thing is when he hears the riff it sounds like if any of you watch sports, and I'm guessing, probably a lot of you don't, but let me, some of you might, because... What are sport? Um, it's like a ball that you do stuff with. Whenever they'll be going to commercial, particularly in like football and also in NASCAR, they'll sometimes just pipe in like generic rock music, that's just a guitar. You know what I mean? That's what I mean? That's what it sounded like. It sounds cornyn the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. they's they's they's they' they' they' they're th. they'll th. they'll they'll they'll they're they're th. they're like, they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. the. the. the. the. the. theeea. thea. thea. thee. thee. the. the. th, it sounds corny as hell. It's terrible. Not with a K.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Oh boy. And then they're also just doing like close-ups on like nipple rings. Show you how extreme these folks are. I had niple rings in college. Did you really? I did. It sounded like terrible decision. Yeah, that seems like it would hurt.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Yeah, I think that at a different times, too, which is like, well, I'll just do it again. It's a dumb idea. So he's woken and flies to where this band's practicing and lays across their amps, which they have so much equipment, it's insane. Oh my god, yeah. There's eight, well, there's eight people in this band. He lays across through equipment and goes, oh, it's just that vampire lounge pose that is repeated in so many things. It's like, you know what it is, it's lying on your side with your hand propping up your head and one leg bent up. It's Bert Reynolds on the bear screen. It's very, exactly. Burt Reynolds is a vampire. Yeah, probably.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Probably. Probably. He's just like talking about how he's, it's like the worst publicity stunt ever. He becomes the front man of this band. And he literally says he starts giving away vampire secrets. Vampire secrets. I quote, I quote, vampire secrets. And then, let, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:24 Mm-hmm. Jesse. Jesse. This is our, this is our, this. this. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is. this is our, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th. He, th, th, th, th. He, he, he, he's just, he's just, he's just, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he, he, he, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he. He, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he's, he's just, th. He's just, th. He's just, th. He's just, th. He's just just, th. He's just, th. He's just just, th. He's just, he's just, he's just, he's just, he's just, hethen, yeah. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Jesse? Jesse. This is our, our character that we can identify with in this. I guess. It's Marguerite Moreau, who I love from Wet Hot American Summer. She's like, shit, she's in a Wet, American Summer. And she's, even, she's very funny in it, the Netflix reboot that they did. I haven't seen it, but okay. Oh, it's funny, I like it. She's terrible on this.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Well, come on, she didn't. She's the most bored. She's like the fifth, the craft. Yeah. She was also Connie in the Mighty Ducks movies. No one has seen those. Everyone, everyone my age Let's talk about something cool. What is it? The, what is it, the, what is it, the Talman Zach or whatever, the occult hunter group? Really want to be part of an
Starting point is 00:27:14 occult hunter group. Oh, sure. They all wear a lot of flowing like taffeta clothes. Yeah, and they have like the dark wood bookshows, like a leather chair to read your occult books. It seems like it smells musty, but in a pleasant way. Yeah, like maybe like pipe tobacco or something. But they're like a do nothing occult group. They just want to watch, they don't want to like, they're just the grosso in the corner that wants to watch the's another good thing about it. We are introduced to some women going into Lestat, Lestat, Lestat?
Starting point is 00:27:50 I say it all both ways, into his house, and the one girl says to the other, that she's heard they keep girls in the basement, and they give you food and cable and weed. And I was like, it's pretty much the dream. And you just say you just have to suck on your the neck the the neck their their their their to to to to their to to to to to to to to to their to to their to to their to their their the the thiomenk thiomenk thiomenk the dream. It's pretty much the dream. And you just say he just has to suck on your neck every once and a while. I've done worse than that. Yeah. Stuart Townsend's not bad to look at. He's easy on the eyes.
Starting point is 00:28:16 I find him to be a pinch-faced wah baby in this movie. Sure, but he's a vampire. That's what all vampires are. Just so pinchy. The entire writing of this movie is terrible. Like, it's just so, he's like, I just have a thirst for things. Dude, we all have a fucking thirst for things. That's why we're alive. That's a very literal interpretation of what I was saying. But yes, yes, we are all thirsty. Here's a thing, if you ask me the motivation of any character in this movie, I cannot
Starting point is 00:28:47 tell you what it is. Name one person. I don't know. She wants to be a vampire, she doesn't want to be a vampire, she has an aunt who might be a vampire and then she wants to get into a war, but she doesn't want to be with a war and she wants to be with a stop stop with a stop with a stop with a stop, but but but but but with a lot, but but with a lot, but but but but with a lot, but but with, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, but, to, to, but is, to, to, to, to, the is, to, to, to, to, I is, I is, I is, I is, I is, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the is is is is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is at him at the end and I don't know why. He has this journal, but then it seems like Marius is going to kill him at the end. I don't know what David wants. He just wants to look at vampire novels maybe.
Starting point is 00:29:12 I think he's a fan boy. So he's okay. Give me another. Uh, list up. Oh, I don't know. be with women but not be with women and he wants to have everyone look at him but also tell the secrets of vampires and also be with Alia but then not be with Alia. The drummer of the new metal band who has that tattoo around his nipple the sun that everybody got in the 90s.
Starting point is 00:29:36 He just wants to smoke weed and listen to 311. So I know what he's doing. Oh man. Also every time someone gets bitten in this movie, it sounds like this. It's like the most over-dramatic bite sound. And not a lot of blood. No, more blood, please. What does this movie rated? I know, I'm bad.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Okay. I guess we haven't gotten to the ratings yet. I don't think it's an R because there aren't any boobies in it. No. Or two bad words, I don't know. I don't think so. I don't think so. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Oh no, I think it might be in some of the songs. It's definitely in the 18th century or whatever, like, be a little more eloquent. Get over it, bro. Seriously, that too. He does use the word gall in the lyrics once. Yeah. Honestly, this just really made me want to watch the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie with Christie Smozen and Donald Sutherland.
Starting point is 00:30:37 God, I love that movie. that, that movie is fan. I never got into the TV show, but I love that movie. I never really saw the TV. I've never seen an episode of it, but I really love that movie. Really love that movie. That's gonna get in the way of us doing that Buffy the Vampires player podcast and one to start. Yeah, like totally shoes be gone Jenkos. I'm glad. I'm glad. I'm over the skinny jeans shit. Viser on backwards, tank top and giant Jenkins. And a person like my age or a young person? Younger.
