Starting point is 00:00:00 VIII. VIII. VZZZOBZ. VZZZO VZZ. What the... What the... Damn it!
Starting point is 00:00:15 All right, I'm just going to go on my telepot and leave this thing alone. Um, hi. What is that? This is H. Um, hi. What is that? What is that? I say Jeff Goldblum. Um, hi. You have so much teeth when you say that.
Starting point is 00:00:35 I don't know why I feel like when you're Jeff Goldblum, you have to see every tooth. And also look at all the whites in my eyes. Um, hi. This is the scariest in my eyes. Um, hi. This is the scariest episode of WhereWop Ambulance ever. I'm Alan. I'm Katie. We're going to talk about Jeff Goldblum in the fly. God bless him.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Croninberg. Yeah, our second Croninberg. Davis. Love Gina Davis. Yeah, she's the best. Yeah, she's the best. When I was a child, a league of their own was a very popular movie. Sure. And I just like loved her. I just thought she was like the most beautiful woman on the planet. She's the bees knees. She pretty much much is. She was in a movie called Transylvania 6, 5,000. Tell me about this. It's her and Jeff Gold. No, not Jeff Gold. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their the th. th. theeateateat. th. th. th. th. the th. the the the the the the the the the the the ley Jr. Very different human being. Both appear in the film Pittsburgh.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Oh, really? Yeah, you ever see that? No. I'll tell you about it after this. And she is a sexy vampire. Oh, nice. And she's wearing like barely any clothes. So as a wee little child man. Blue is also in Trenton, 6,000. Oh, nice. He's really aged into handsome in such an
Starting point is 00:01:45 amazing way. Do you think he's not so handsome in the fly? The bug guys really bug me out? Really? But he's like, he rocks glasses now? Oh, he looks great now. Yeah, I think he looks great then, too. Sure. I think it's also the fact that he and Gina Davis have the exact same haircut. I was just about the thi. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just. I was just thi. I was just thi. And it's like hockey hair. You know what I mean? Yeah. That's like the way their hair looks in this movie is how mine looks when I wake up sick. Do you know what I mean? When you wake up and you're like, oh I don't feel good and you look good and you're like,
Starting point is 00:02:19 I don't look good. That's what I look like. And then you throw up a box of donuts. Yeah. So this is a remake of a Vincent Price movie. Which I've not seen. Yeah, it's great. It's on Netflix right now. I know you could watch it. Were you wanting to? You should.
Starting point is 00:02:35 It's really fun. Yeah. Is it similar to this? Is this similar to it? Um, tonally, but because it's made in the, what, 50s, it's, um, stylistically not as great as this movie is, but it's, it's definitely, it's fun, it's sad, as this movie is also fun and sad. So I think, yes, totally, it's the same. I feel like this is a great movie for Cronenberg to remake with this crazy body terror horror stuff. It was originally someone else was going to do it and like there's a whole script written and then they were like
Starting point is 00:03:10 Mel Brooks actually is the producer of this film. No he's not. It's Brooks. He also produced the David Lynch Elephant Man. And if I will allow me a quick digression. I would love one. They showed the David Lynch elephant man to like executives at Paramount and after they showed it the execs were like, we have some notes and supposedly this is what Millbrook said to them. We are involved in a business venture. We screened the film for you to bring you up to date on the status of that venture. Do not misconstrued this as our
Starting point is 00:03:45 soliciting the input of raging primitives. Yes, Mel Brooks is the coolest. And he usually would love, like, he doesn't put his name as a producer so that people don't think they're comedy movies. But it's his production company. There are some extremely comedic moments in this movie. Hilarious. And Jeff Gold Bloom delivers them so perfectly perfectly so so so so, th. th. I I I I I I I, th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. to, th. Yeah, th. I, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. tho, th. th. th. th. th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, to, to, to thi. to to to the. to the. to the. the. the. the. the. the. the. so perfectly. Like, I cannot think of a better actor to play this role in the modern era. He's like a Christopher Walken, wherein no one else on earth talks like him. Yeah. He has the weirdest delivery.
Starting point is 00:04:16 He'll just like, but he, the same thing Walken does, he'll just like pause and like crack sentences in the weirdest places. like, like, like the middle of a word you stopped in. Yeah and just so many ums I feel like you can't get away with that unless you're Jeff Goldblum. It literally things like he's living in it and thinking it and like like him in Jurassic Park. I love that role I love him. Yeah. Buccaru Banzai like this dude is legend. Do you ever see that 20. th. I. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He's th. He's like th. He's like the. He's like the. He's like the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. Did you ever see that 20 minutes of Jeff Goldblum laughing video? I think it's, it might be 10, it might be 10, we can watch it later. And he's a jet, like accomplished jazz pianist. Yeah. And apparently really likes the ladies.
Starting point is 00:04:53 And was super rude to Perry at a Starbucks downtown in Pittsburgh. Really? Really? I feel like I told this on here before, but Perry, who joined us in the silence in the silence in the silence in the silence, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the th.. th. th. Pittsburgh many years ago, and Jeff Goldblum was in there one day, and so Perry went up to him and said something like, oh, Jeff Goldblum, I'm huge, huge faniers. Jeff Goldblum is like, oh, of course you are. Like, the Jeff Goldblum was in the today. Like, the Jeff Goldblum is the things. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And, to, to, to, to, to to to to to to to to to to to th, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, and so, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, the, the, the, the. to to the. the. the. the. the. the. And, the, th. And so, th. And, think told us the story during the Suns-Lams, I was saying. And he just, he like hates Jeff Goldblum as a result, but it's like, that's exactly how you expect Juff Goldblum to act, you know? What did you want? Yeah, you know, like, hey, man, sit down, let's talk about this.
Starting point is 00:05:33 He's not going to thank you. He's not going to be gracious. This movie is directed really well, great soundtrack by Howard Shore, like almost like overly cinematic for what they're doing. It's sweeping, it's sweeping in a lot of places. How do we get into talking about this film? Do you want to just give a general overview? Because not a lot happens to be honest, like not, there's not much, the plot isn't very deep. Had you seen this before? I had seen it on cable so a lot of the gross parts weren't in to be to be to be to be to be th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the thi? I I I thi? I they. I their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, they. It's, their, their, their, their, the? Like, the plot isn't very deep. Had you seen this before? I had seen it on cable so a lot of the gross parts weren't in it. Oh even on cable. I think so. I don't recall, I remember being like, blah, in this, but not when I saw it before. Okay. But I also may have just not watched the whole thing, you know how I guess. Yeah, so let's just try doing a little summation here. Okay. So Jeff Goldbloom, th. th. th. to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tod tod toda. toda. toda. toda. toda. th. th. the. th. th. th. th. the th a little, little summation here. Okay. So Jeff Goldblum is a scientist who lives in the warehouse district of Toronto.
Starting point is 00:06:29 It's Toronto? I don't think it's supposed to be, but it's devil in Toronto, or Vancouver maybe. And Gina Davis is a reporter for Particle Magazine. I do have a note that just says, particle magazine. And she is doing a story on three different sides to set this party and he's like, hey you should come home with me because I you know I am going to change the world. Yeah. And he goes home and explains everything she's doing and it's yeah and so she's gonna run a story he doesn't want her to and
Starting point is 00:06:55 he's like hey why don't you write a book she's got a very oppressive ex-lover editor. His name is the stupidest things. St st st st st st st st st st st st st st. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thus thus thus thus thus thus thus. thus. thus. thus thus thus. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. theeea. to to to theeea. thea. thea. thea. the. the. the. the. the stupidest thing. Stathis? Stathis Boren's. Yeah. No, no one names their child that. No one names their child that. Also, not to digress, but already digressing. Working, like professional women in the 80s have no fucking style options. It just everything looks like shit. Oh, I thought her outfits were amazing. Strongly disagree. Her coat looks like a fucking REI tent. She is just, I mean, she's gorgeous. She's gorgeous. She has a fantastic figure and she's wearing.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Shorter pads for days. Shorter pads for days. A tent and like ill-fitting khakis. That high-wasted. But pleated less we neglect that they are high waisted and at one bunch of like velvet pants like high wasted velvet pants just like ugly sweaters and weird color like she they really ugly her up in this for no reason I did have the note that I really love her outfits no man I don't know
Starting point is 00:08:01 what to tell you Olympic level level Archer, Gina Davis. Is she? Yeah. That's amazing. Is she also like a fucking genius? Wasn't she like a road scholar or something? Oh, I don't know. I think she's a genius. It makes sense. Oh, I'm tall and I'm an actress and an archer and a road scholar. What are you? I'm Alan. How you doing Gina Davis? So he takes her back back back back back crib. She's wearing a terrible outfit. He plays a little piano for him, Biddley, little, da, da. And Jeff Goldblum. Yeah. I understand it was zany. And then she goes to her editor.
Starting point is 00:08:33 He's like, oh, you definitely have to do the story. And by the way, I'm still in love with you and I, and I, and I'm still, and I'm still, and I'm still, and I'm still, and I'm still, and I'm still, and I'm still the th th th th th th th th th th tho, and tho, and tho, and I'm still tho, and I'm still tho, and I'm still tho, and tho, and I'm tho, and I'm, and to to to to the the the the tho, and tho, and tho, and tho, and tho, and tho, and tho, and tho, and tho, and th. And, and th. And, and th. And, and th. I don't know. Is it lungs? I was like, I was like, oh, Cronenberg, who let you design this set? I know. I know, I know. I'm like, I'm, I'm, like, I'm, like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like. I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like. th. th. th. th. th. I. I. th. I'm. I'm. th. th. I. th. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I was like, like, I was like, like, like, like, like, I was. I was like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was, I was. I was, I was, I was. I was. I was. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thanks. He reveals to her that he has these teleportation pods and like takes one of her stockings and sends it through. So this would be the bee's knees like but then he admits that he can't do it with living material. Which he proves no no no don't like don't like it don't like first of all where the fuck did he get a baboon. the your baboon budget, Doug? He just had baboons for days, multiple cages. For days. Why not use like a mouse? Not saying that that's even better, but like... Or the titular fly, like anything.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Start small. I don't know. Start small. But baboon! You can't just inside out baboon? I know because he knew he knew it wasn't going to work. So how many? Like what is your baboon buboon buboon buboons at that point? Like, because you're buying them, right? And why isn't baboons baboons baboons? Say no, no, no,oons. Nope, nope, nope. So it is very upsetting when it's turned inside out. Yeah let's
Starting point is 00:10:08 digress into that. So he puts the baboon, an adorable baboon in their own weird... Sam the bald eagle from the Muppet Show way. That's what they always look like to me. I have the note that all baboons look like Kevin Bacon. That is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is are so not on board to the thought about it. And then I pictured, I put in my mind's eye a row of a baboon, Sam the Eagle, and Kevin Bacon. And they all kind of morphed together into what? I just, I feel like my world is upside down at the moment. But, do thu. Especially now like super skinny Kevin Bacon, like... Yeah, why is he doing then? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:47 I don't know. But he's very, he's got a baboonish quality to him. In a delightful way. And he has that red ass. And he has that red ass. Six degrees of separation from that, So yeah, he puts the baboon in there and then he sends it through and it fucking turns inside out and there's that great scene where it's blood-poll hits the glass on the telepod. And then it's going, squint, squeedy, squeedy, squee, squee.
Starting point is 00:11:15 It's not great. And then I was like, what did you do with the baboon? He crowed in the garbage. Then he sends a steak through and feeds it to Gina Davis and she's like, you know, you just turned a baboon inside out and that thing. Yeah, I liked that actually. But then eat it anyway. Yeah. And he's like, so what's it?
Starting point is 00:11:33 And he's like, so, let's eat it. their love story? . shocking. Yeah. What? What's happening? I feel like they didn't have the best of chemistry where you are... Even though they were married? They were married? I-R-L, yeah. What? At this time? Uh, I think either right around or right after. They're kissing each other with their eyes open, which I find to be just like very distressing. I thought that was a character choice. I don't like it. And if you're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, th. th. th. th. th. they're, th. they're, they're, th. thi, they're they're they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they they they're, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. they're, they're, they're thi. thi. they're they're they're thi. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're supposed to be so deeply in love, why would you do that? 87 to 90 they were married. I had no idea. That shows what I know, which is nothing. No, I felt like they had no chemistry. I guess it didn't last. No, apparently they didn't. Geez. And their sex scenes were a little weird. Yeah, least of all because they're a th. th. Imagine sleeping on a pool-out sofa all the time. How terrible you would sleep. Yeah, and like she's interviewing him for this book that she's
Starting point is 00:12:32 going to write. And she's just like sits down, start staring at his face and then obviously stares at his crotch for a while while she's like, you're like, Gina Davis. Yeah. I would. Yeah, I didn't find their relationship to be very believable. No, not. And she is so, um, you know, it's that thing where she's like out of the gate, she's like this tough modern lady and thenthe wound. Fucking, fucking Cronenberg. So he lays on a microchip or something that's in the bed and he gives him three slices of his back. Yeah. And she's like, oh well, do you have any oymion? He's like, no, it'll be fine.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Let me kiss it. No. Let me kiss it. the same clothes. She's fucked with his style. Like, I love the only wearing the same clothes thing. I have a beef with that. Bief me.
Starting point is 00:13:32 He had like, I think he had, I think he had, I think he had, I think he had, I thin' the same sows, and he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, like, like, he's, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the same. the same. thethink what he did was just buy a bunch of the same style of shoe. There's been like, not dress shoes, but like hard leather shoes that I've liked and then when I go to buy another pair of them, they just don't exist anymore. And they're like. I see. Which it seems like men's dress shoes have looked the same shoes for like 30 years. Yeah, but like there's differences in the feel. The feel differences. The feel differences. The feel differences. The feel differences. The feel differences. The feel differences. The feel differences. The feel the feel the feel the feel the feel the feel the feel the feel the feel feel the feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel feel, the feel, the feel, the feel, like, like, the feel, like, the feel, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the their, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thro. th. th. th. th. th. that he like, so he just bought a stockpile of them. So I'm sure he's wearing the same ones every day, but like once those wear down, he just throws on the next pair. Maybe, I hope you're right. Because otherwise it's very stupid. But she, maybe just says someone's stanky feet. Well, they don't seem to care about stinky because she peels off that stocking, which would be literally literally literally literally literally literally literally literally literally. Yeah. I really expected him to sniff the stocking.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Oh, I bet it's not so bad. Probably sweaty. Gina Davis has big feet, you know? And I feel like big feet sweat more. I say is a size 10. More area. Yeah, just more square footage. That's a pun.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Square feet. There you to wear. Sure. But luckily I don't think super big thoughts so I can worry about whether or not I'm going to wear my Batman or my John Carpenter t-shirt. Yeah, I mean, I feel fine using my brain power for what I'm going to wear. But I think in the movie, that's that's that's also that's also that's also that's also that's also that's also that's also that's a really really really really really really really really really really really really really really that's a really that's a really that's a really thin thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin'n thin'n't thin'n'n't to to to to to tooooooooooooooo-a'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n'n't to th in the movie, it's also a really good thing of like setting him up as like a really odd duck. Yeah. I mean, it's Jeff Goldblum, so it's already an odd duck, but it sort of hits home with that.
Starting point is 00:15:10 So there's like a bit of a love triangle that he slips that magazine cover under the door. I want to own that drawing of Jeff Goldblum on the cover of Particle magazine so badly. It's like a beach side caricature. You know what I mean? It's really fantastic. It's pretty great. That character also like starts off as one thing and ends up as a completely different thing. Yeah, it ends up being a tragic hero. Yeah. And all the, there's so much talk, again, Kernberg, it's like, you have to learn about the flesh. You have to understand the flesh. Just horrifying. So she goes off one night to go talk to her ex-boyfriend because he's being a D-bag after she sees the cover that he's done up that for the article
Starting point is 00:15:49 that she doesn't want him to run. And Goldblum gets drunk on champagne's like, oh man, she's cheating on me. And even though they've been dating for, I don't know what, 11 minutes? A day. But they've had wound wound-a they've they've they've had wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound wound? I their their their their their their their their their their their their? I? I? I've their? I've their? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I? I. I. I. I. I. I. I. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. the. the. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. the. the. the. the. the. the. that they were IRL married. That is like blowing my mind. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I guess that was like 13 years old. Like it was all over the tabloids is.
Starting point is 00:16:16 You're going to mash them together, aren't you? And it's hard. I'm not getting. Zingh. Dold bloom. You just put the Dulled Bloom. Dold Bloom. You just put the D in there. Devil? There's no good. That's why it didn't last.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Not like, not like Branjina, they'll never break up. Oh God, Katie. Or Gwen Stefani and Gavin. Well, as long as Justin and Brittany say together, that's all I care about. Oh, they have that denim outfit thing happening. They're Canadian tuxed he does, we'll keep them together. So he gets drunk and sends himself through the telepod. But, the zzz, the zzz, there's a fly in there.
Starting point is 00:16:53 And the booboon sees it. And I was like... When he comes ripping out of there screaming, he's just glad he's not fucking inside out. Like, he's just like, oh, thank God. You know he was there and saw it. You've murdered my entire family. I guess I get to live. That poor baboon. But he's also like, yeah influence from the last episode. Fucking shit fucking shit fucking shit fucking.
Starting point is 00:17:29 I see I can't even do it convincingly. So suddenly he's like an Olympic level gymnast. He's good thing he has uneven parallel bars in his warehouse. Why? Why did he have? Did you notice that the gymnast stunt double is like half his hype? Yeah, very short, a little buffer. And way paler. Way paler. And then he does this sort of like silent, stoic gymnastics routine.
Starting point is 00:17:54 And Gina Davis just sits and looks at him. And then the scene ends. No, then she wants to fuck. She's ready to fuck. Seems like it should be something you have a conversation about. Could you always that that th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, the the the thi, the thi, the thi, the the the the the the the the the the the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the the thi. And, the thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, thoomorrow, thi. And, thi something you have a conversation about. Like, could you always do that? Is this a thing that you do? Like, what? I think you're supposed to put on, I need an hero while you're doing this. There's supposed to be some very theatrical music going on right now.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Then he starts to really babbling. He turns into a coke head. Yeah. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, the, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I think, I think, I think, th.... th. thus. th. thus. thi. thi. th. thi where I feel like he's so well cast for this role is because you believe that Jeff Goldblum would behave this way, you know? So he wants her to go through because he wants her to be as pure as he is. Because it purifies you going through this thing. Sure, no, doesn't. See, before you said in the last episode, which happened a week, thapapapapapap. which happened a week ago, so I can't believe I remember this, that Cronenberg is the gynecologist, and that's not the candy I'm still eating.
Starting point is 00:18:46 This is not a tricks bar. I imagined that how he was talking as the coke head religious fervor experience was how Cronenberg is all the time. But then seeing him, I thought, no, the Clive Barker film about the monster people live underground in Median? Cronenberg is the bad guy in that, so he's in the movie a lot. Okay. And he's very mellow and like...
Starting point is 00:19:13 So I should... A reveal odd quirk about myself. Do you know the director Jim Jarmush? I've heard the name. I get him and Cronenberg mixed up in my brain pan, even though I'm a huge fan of both of their, like, ooves. What has Jim Jarmush done? He did that Johnny Depp movie Dead Man. He's, he does like, indie movie.
Starting point is 00:19:34 He did Ghost Dog with Farris Woodaker as an urban samurai, which is fucking, which is fucking fantastic. It's got a great. It's got a great, it's said doesn't make any sense. I feel like I can't even blink. It's really great. He's just like down by law. He's on a ton of movies. Only lovers left alive, I think is his most recent thing. With Hiddleston, Tom Hiddleston. Oh, he and Taylor Swift will never break up. And it's him and the next step in human human human human human human human human human human the the the the the next the next the next the next the next the next the next the next the next the next the and the next step in human evolution. Channing Tatum?
Starting point is 00:20:05 No, actress. Jennifer Love Hewitt. No. Tilda Swinton. Oh, sure. Yeah. It's those two as vampires. Oh, she would make an excellent vampire.
Starting point is 00:20:19 But they both have like white shocks of hair, the directors. And for some reason I just mix them up in my brain all the time and I'm like, you know, the fly by Jim Dermush. Nope, David Gronenberg. And I really like a lot of Cronenberg films. I loved Shivers as we did earlier this year. I love the brood. I like this.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Have you seen video drone. Have thi.. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha'a'a'a'a'a' the the tha'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a' the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the fly the fly the fly the fly the fly the fly the the fly the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thrown. thrown. thrown. throwne. throwne. throwne. throoooooo' throo' throooooo'a'a'a'ern. throoooo'a'a'a'a'a'a'a' throakes place in Pittsburgh. Love Pittsburgh. Yeah, I know. It's got Debbie Harry, aka a blondie. And James Woods, aka a weirdo. Feel nothing for him. No, you shouldn't. All right, so back to the movie. Where were we?
Starting point is 00:20:54 The next note I have says lately I've been kind of eating like the fly, meaning all I've eats so much sugar. He puts like 15 scoops of sugar into his Frappuccino. Yeah, I don't feel well. Wait, so you've been throwing up on donuts? I've been puking on my tip. And I promise not to say it again. No, I've been eating like the early days of the fly. Yeah, which is just cram cram so cram so cram so cram so cram so the thu thu thu thu thu thu thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu. thu. thu. thu. thu-a, thu-a, thu-a, thu thu-a, throwning, thu-a, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thrown. thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, thrown, too. So Gina Davis won't have all the sex that he wants, because he's nonstop sexy times,
Starting point is 00:21:28 because all that sugar just gives you sex energy. And he makes me queasy. That's because you don't have thorny hairs in your back. That she cuts off with scissors and gets analyzed. Love it. Yeah, love that to the lab. She does work for particle. True, she's got a science background. She does have a science.
Starting point is 00:21:48 Searching for the word background. I wanted you to leave it at science. She has a science. So he kicks her out and he goes on in the street with a jacket with no shirt on. Love that leather. the jacket. After you just bought her a necklace. Which. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, th. thi, thi, th. thi, th. tho, tho, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, the the tho, the tho, tho, tho, tho, th. they, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. She, th. She, th. She, th. She, th. She, th. She, th. She, th. She, th. She, th. She, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. She's, theeeea. She's, theeaaa. She's, too. She's, theeaaa. She's, thea. She's, thea, thi. She's, thea, the jacket sheke just gave him. Come on, you can't break up with something. Yeah, yeah. Which, she's still wearing four weeks later.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Yeah, she's very sad. And so he bumps into some movie punks, which may be very happy on the street. And he finds a lady at a bar that he likes. Tawny. And he arm wrestles a dude for her. The other arm wrestler, but the other guy is the dad from Honey I Shrunk the Kids that's not Rick Moranis. Oh really? And he has one of my favorite lines in movie history, which is, weights aren't your thing, fishing isn't your thing, just what is your thing?
Starting point is 00:22:34 Which I love. Those are the two options. Can I say it to rob all that time? So that's who that guy is? Talk to me about this arbrestling theme, because I know how you love bone-breaking skin stuff. It's perfect. And I love arm wrestling. He arm-wrestles this tubby guy who... Delightfully Canadian pudgy. Yeah, who's like, the guy from Honeystruck the kid is like,
Starting point is 00:22:57 he's like, the guy from honey. He's like, thin. I mean, like what is the point you're trying to make? So he arm wrestles this guy and it seems very evenly matched, evenly matched. And Jeff Goldberg, that's when you realize Jeff Goldbom's face looks terrible. He's like breaking out terrible. It's teree of it. Then he breaks his arm, breaks his former arm. Snaps it at the wrist and the you guys cool with that? Yeah and right before it happens you see Jeff Goldblum's fingernails are oozing this like white posse stuff. It's very gross. But all over the guy's hand which
Starting point is 00:23:31 the guy should have been like, yo yo yo I gotta go. Yo I'm done I'm done done. Nobody quits arm wrestling. When you lock in when I turn this hat around, it's like a switch. It flips, I'm like a machine, like this truck. So I can't wait until April Fool's Day, so we can do that. I just like, why would you win a truck? Why would you win a truck? Also, you're a terrible parent. Also, just let the kid live with Rich Robert Loja? Yeah, who doesn't want to live with Robert Loja? Me? Me? Me? Me? Me? Me? Me? Me? I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. to to love? to love? to love? to to to th. th. th. to th. th. to th. to to to th. to to to th. th. th. to to to to to th. to to th. to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. to t. to. t. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. t. t. I could in the kingdom of God. So he goes back and has sex with Ronnie or no Tawney. To adopts his jacket no shirt look. Yeah, it's a shirt. It's a look everybody's wearing this.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Her jacket, speak of swimming in your clothes, her jacket is like a 5XL studded gene jacket. And when he, I want to talk about their sex scene real quick. Because he just pulls her to him and lays to her to her their to to their their to their their their to the about their sex scene real quick. Sure. Because he just pulls her to him and lays on top of her. And it's like a little kid's idea of what sex is. It just doesn't move. Hug, real tig. There's a line in that scene that I like where she has previously told him that she lives with her mother.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Yeah. And then she's like, you look bad. You smell bad. And he's like, I've never been much of a bather. And I was like, yeah. It's just like Jeff, cold bloom, nail on the comedy. The fly gives him all the ooze and then. When he rips the one nail, he's like chewing on his fingernail.
Starting point is 00:25:09 It just comes off in his mouth and he points the finger towards a mirror and then it, lack of a better term, ejaculates all over the mirror. Yeah, it's like popping the biggest pimple really close to a mirror. It's so gross. And then he just starts taking all of his fingernails off. It's like, blah, oh, so gross. Did that really bother you? Have you ever had a fingernail come off? I pull my toen nails off all the time, so it doesn't bother me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:32 This is from running. This is from running. I'm not just like self-motter. When I was a teen heavy metal person, I wore a lot of rings. What kind of rings? Like skulls and shit. Class rings. And one of them was star sapphires. An Indian's head that went from like knuckle to knuckle on my middle finger. Then my fighting rings? They're my figh to their fingers.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Then I'm fighting. theyrown. the the the the And a ball went down to sewer grate. So I was like, I'll go get it. And I ran over. A clown came and ripped your arm off. And he said, we all play hockey down here. And you're like, am I in Canada? So I picked up the sewer grate and then went to drop it. And the Indian's head ring got caught and jogged my hand down and just smashed my nail.
Starting point is 00:26:18 Yeah. And so since then, the nail, the nail, the nail, the nail, the nail, their, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, and I, and, I'm, I'm, I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I, and, and I, and, and, and, and, and, and, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I. And, and I, and I. And, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, th. And, tha. And, tha. And, th times under there. It's just like a sawshell crab under there. You know? This was like black and bloody it was real narh. Oh yeah. Yeah. A lot of rings. Ring guy. Ring. Ring. Ring. Luckily I have moved beyond that. I never trust a man her four weeks later, so wearing that necklace, which I found to be like, I just felt like she would, sometimes you start a relationship with someone and they turn out to be super fucking weird and you have to get out of there real fast. And then you just kind of let it go, you know? Let it go. Let it go. That was nice. Thanks. But so he comes out walking with like two canes. than, than, tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. than't tha. than't tha. tha. tha s, thi, thi, thi, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, th. Sometimes, t, tine, tine, tine, tine, tine, tine. Sometimes tune. tune. tune. tune. tha, tha. tha. tha. thas, thas, thau. thau. thau. thau. thau. Sometimes, thau. Sometimes, thau. Sometimes, doesn't want to be a tumorous boar talking about his cancers. Yeah. And I was like, oh, that's really fun.
Starting point is 00:27:09 Yeah. It's super fun. Also super fun? His ear falling off. Oh, it's so good. It's so liquidy. He's so liquidy under it, not bloody. I feel like that was the part where I realize this is the point of no return. You know what I mean? The next time she comes to see him, he's no longer all like debilitated. He is like super energized again.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Oh, and he's climbing on the ceiling. Yeah, and just talking to her while he's doing it. He's like, it's almost like second nature. Oh, Jeff Colblin. I'm now something else. I'm no longer Seth Brundle. Life finds a way. Gives himself a name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Brundle fly. Brundle fly. Oh, man. Here's a thing that I find to be weird is in that scene where he's like talking to her about how he's not the same......... I. I. I. I. I. It. It. It's, to. It's, to. to. to. to. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to. to. to to to to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. I. I. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It. It's. It's. It's. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the the the te. the te. te. the te. the the the te. the the the the the the the the the the to. the the the the the the the t. He's becoming an insect. Yeah. And he's going to hurt her if she stays around. And I was like, are insects out to hurt us? Like, can insects not stop themselves from hurting us? No.
Starting point is 00:28:13 So I don't know what the point was it. But I think he was just being like, I'm not going to have compassion. There's not going to be a human side to be a human. just going to be driven by these three things. Which apparently is hurting humans. Yeah and eat fuck kill like sort of like mentality and to back up a little bit I love when he's like he finally goes and sees what happened when he went through the thing and he's like also we should point out that in 1986 if you had voice recognition software that was that good you could be a fucking but billionaire. It's true. Like that shit still isn't fully functional today. Also, like my cell phone, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:28:48 I try to ask it to Google things, and it's like calling Uncle Bob at the office. And I'm like, no, I didn't say that at all. One of my favorite things to do is to try and send text messages by just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just. For me it's a problem because I have a Pittsburgh accent and so every time I say I need I it'll say like Anita like a like the woman's name or like it just can't distinguish between a lot of sounds that I make. It broke the word apple into four different words for me the other day.
Starting point is 00:29:19 I don't remember what they were and I'm just like, hmm, I'm not not sure sure sure sure sure sure sure sure sure sure sure sure sure sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure sure sure sure sure sure sure I'm not sure sure sure sure sure sure I'm not sure sure sure sure I'm not sure sure I'm not sure sure I'm not sure sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm not sure sure sure sure doing their phone. Yeah. So she's been confiding in her ex-boyfriend and I was like, don't you have a girlfriend? No. Especially when it turns out that bum-b-bomb-bum, she's pregnant. Yeah. She like, I find it hard to believe she doesn't have a lady friend she can talk to you about this thing. She's in a science- She's the science all men do science and just science. There's men. Men are the only scientists. Sure. It was almost like, all right, we've got all this money to do the special effects, so you can have three cast members. Yeah. That's all I'm gonna be good cast members. Yeah. That John Gets guy is great. I've seen him in a bunch of other stuff and I can't remember from what, but I was just like, oh, I know. that that that guy. Yeah. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I'm, I, I'm, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th. Yeah, yeah, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, yeah, and, th. the, th. the, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. just like I know that guy. Did I go to high school with him? That pregnancy dream where she gives birth to that wriggling worm thing is amazing. Maggot baby is a goddame classic. It's a note that I have here. It's really good. And that's where we see Kronenberg as the gynecologist and it's the bloodiest abortion ever like up to her waist is just splattered in blood and he's
Starting point is 00:30:25 covered in blood and like yeah I'm gonna need you to push no no no not during this thing you don't need her to push no but she gives birth to a maggot and it's fucking hilariously gross and just disturbing I feel like all the really funny stuff is happening at the exact same time that all the saddest stuff is happening in this movie yeah Yeah, it's a weird balance of the two. So she decides she really wants an abortion. Right. And then Jeff Golben jumps through the window. One of those like glass block windows, too.
Starting point is 00:30:52 It's horrifying. And he makes the biggest hole in it. And yet, Stannis still cuts his hand runs into the room, and just like immediately looks to his right rather than out the giant gaping hole. It's literally like a five and a half foot wide hole in a glass block window. There's glass everywhere, and he still cuts his fucking hand on you dumb, I love when Jeff Goldblum's teeth have come out.
Starting point is 00:31:21 And it's all like, I have thethe note his tongue work exclamation point because he's just like he's happy to have you say I'm sure he's just like when he's talking it's just all tongue coming in like like give it up yeah yeah but it's so like and he keeps crossing his eyes yeah yeah his bug eyes yeah I'm just like he must be a dancer. Like, just the way he moves makes me think that at some point he was trained as a dancer. So nimble, yeah. Once he's like starting to hunch up and everything's going weird and he just moves so fluidly
Starting point is 00:31:55 even within that. Yeah, he's almost wearing like a weird fat suit. It's like very bulbous in places and it's like this Cronenberg pink flesh I would describe it you know like just this it's just an eh suit it's like he's covered in tumors and there's the one scene when we first see him crawling on the ceiling and he's like I'm crawling on the ceiling now and he looks up his shirt and he goes what's this I don't know and then just like he's yeah yeah he looks like the inside of a can't ta the the the the the tta tta tta the tta tta tta tta ttttttttttttttttttttttttttt tttt ttt tt. t. tt. tt. ttttttttttttttt ttttb tb tb tb tb t. t. t. the t. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the the t t t t t t t t t t t tttttttttttttttttu ttttttttu tttttttu. tttttttttttttttttttu. ttttu. tttt cuts of this film because they would take it to audiences and show them a thing and they would get so grossed out that the deaf cut a thing out. So that tumor's thing he's like what's this I don't
Starting point is 00:32:33 know what that is at some point in the movie a leg pops out of it. Whoa I would I would love that. And he chews it off. No I loved. that. And he's that. And he's that. And he's the they's they's they's they's they's th. And he's th. And he's th. And he's. And he's. And he's. And he's. And he's. th. th. th. And he's th. And he's th. And he's th. And he's th. See, so like in apparently audiences were like, no, no. Oh, yeah. Oh, we miss the, well, we're jumping all over the place. We didn't miss anything. I know like we're gonna do a quick synopsis and we're currently 40 minutes in. There's the where he's like, all right, well, we have to keep documenting this. He wants to do like a children's and like. I mean, it was like, how he eats now? And this is how she, Gina Davis, exposes her ex-boyfriend, Stanis Barathian,
Starting point is 00:33:07 to what's happening to him. I like how it cuts away from him, like the screen that he's watching and you hear the sound of him barfing and then slurping and then slurping and it's just like, oh, God. I thought that it's like because we've seen him barf because earlier he's like he picks up donut and he like puts in his hand and then looks at her and goes Oh, it's so gross Huh, that's disgusting. He didn't even think about it and I love that like this would become so natural to you?
Starting point is 00:33:36 Oh, man. Where was he getting all those snaps? I don't know like is he running to the store in his? Construction gloves that are soaked in puss like I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I this this this th. I don't this th. I don't th. I don't th. Oh? I don't th. Oh, I don't th. Oh? Oh. Oh, I don't th. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh th. Oh th. Oh th. Oh th. It's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's thi. It's like, it's the. It's gloves that are soaked in puss? I don't know. So this just keeps steamrolling and whatnot, and eventually, he comes up with a plan where he has to be re-grafed with human DNA to stop being brundlefly and become human again. He's like trying to convince Gina Davis that if he and her pregnant body each go through these telepods, that they'll become the happiest family of the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I don't thi. I thi. I don't tho. I don't tho. I thoom. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th pregnant body each go through these telepods that they'll become the happiest family of all time or something. And first he's trying to get Stannis Barathian into it who comes to his house with a shotgun to kill him and I was like to tell the dog you're the beginning and she I was like call the cops on this fucking Yahoo You know what I mean? The scene where Jeff Goldblum disarmed Stanis Perathian takes a shotgun from him and then throws up on his god damn fist. I didn't like that. No No. The special effects guy in this movie is the same special effects guy from Raiders of Lost Ark so he's the the the the the the the the th th th th the th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi the the. the. the's the the the the. the the the the the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the up with the melting faces scene. That shows.
Starting point is 00:34:46 It shows. Yeah, it's exactly why the melting hand scene is so good. He's got some melting skin experience. Yeah, I mean, it just don't like it. I don't like it. I found him puking on the foot to be more disturbing. It's just the idea of a barf weapon I guess is really like. It seems very teeny ninja journals though. Getting super nauseated as we're talking about this. Let's move on from the bed. I apologize this is the sickest I felt while we've been doing this show ever. Eventually he's, yeah, he started convinced you to Davis to go through with him and like her and the baby and him will become the tidest family ever because they'll literally be in one body. the the the the the the tie tie tie tie their tie the the the the the the the the the the. tie. the. the. tie. the. the. tie. thee. tie. tie. thee. tie. tie. tie. t. t. I'm t. I' is t. I' is t. I's is t. I t. I t. I t. I I t. I t. I I t. I I t. I I I t. I t. I t. I t. I t. I t. I t. I's is is is t. I's is t. I's is t. I's is t. I's is t. I'm t. I'm t. I'm t. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I in one body. I kind of almost wish that it happened because what would it look like?
Starting point is 00:35:25 Just there are three heads on top of the top of the. And like, would there be like a fetus head? Like, ha, cat, ha, cat, ha, you know? So she gets forced into one of the pods. This is like where he becomes a bad guy, and you're like, oh no, oh, I and he's just a bugman now. I love that scene of all the skin ripping off his body, all the tissue, all the all the like human elements that are left have ripped off and he's just this like that part's way grosser to me than the puking. Super gross. Yeah and
Starting point is 00:35:59 And no no no I paid for those twiks. Keep them down. Status blows up the telebot so Gina Davis isn't going to be transported and it, the transporter is like, well, then I'm going to meld you with the transporter. I took issue with this because Jeff Goldblum had previously explained to us that the computer only knows and we'll only do what you tell it to do. It's not the the the the the the the the the the the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer the computer to the computer the computer to to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be. It's. It's. I. I. to be. tel. tel. to. to. to. tha. t. t. tell. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. the. tel. tel. te. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tel. tell it to do. It's not going to make up its own rules. So I melds him with the teleporter and he comes out all like biomechanical brundle fly. Looking terrible. Yeah. And she goes to shoot him and she can't do it and then he picks up the shotgun and puts it to his own head. It's so sad. Yeah. It's Stephen King and creeps the tie. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the th. the the th. the th. th. the's like this like funny funny funny oh god come on buddy and she blows his head off. It's very sad. Yeah. It's the end.
Starting point is 00:36:51 It's the end of the movie. Oh. But not the end because she does have a baby. There's a second movie. No shit. Yeah, there's a there's a fly too. Not called Return of the Fly. Return of the Fly. Eric Stoltz plays his son in that one.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Yeah. I'm making a face you can't see. Yeah, I hate Eric Stoltz. He sucks. My last note is, you know, you're gonna take status to the hospital. Yeah. He's just laying on the floor all fucking. Almost bleeding out, you know? And like, how do you explain that at the hospital?
Starting point is 00:37:27 I don't know. Where's your foot go? Well, funny story. Burfed, barfed out. Boy, this movie. Do you want to move on to the, the, the, the, zz, the rating face? Sure. Do you want to go first first first first first first first first first. Yeah. This is so great and ridiculous and like I saw it when I was a kid and it didn't like it just
Starting point is 00:37:51 blew my brain apart. Like it's so over the top. Oh yeah. It's so 1980s yet like smart at the same time in a weird way. I like that those things seem mutually exclusive. Well, I'm just think of like neon-nionionionionionionionionionionionionionionionion-like the to like to the to to to the to to the to to to the to to the to the things seem mutually exclusive to you. Well, I'm just thinking of like neon maniacs, which you're just like dirt to dirt dirt, dirt, here's a movie. I loved it though. It's great. Yeah. But like this is smart, it's funny, it's super sad. It's super sad. I remembered it being sad and then watching it and I was like, oh shit. This is hilarious. Like, Missy and I was like, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, th. thi, th, th, th, th, th, th. It's like, th. It's like, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. D. D. D. Dirt, thi. Dirt, thi, thi. Dirt, thi. Dirt, thi, their, time. It's like, the grossest shit that was like him, like, I love him puking his hand and going,
Starting point is 00:38:28 oh, that's disgusting. Oh, yeah. He's so good. It's like, so him. It's like a rule of a lifetime for Jeff Goldman. Which is like, the role of a lifetime is to compare this to the original? I mean the original is just he gets like a fly head and like a fly hand and that's the biggest part of the transition and then there's like a little fly with a man hit. Oh I like that.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Yeah. That might be in return of the fly but I and then there's like a scene like there's this pressing plant thing that comes up like early on in the movie so you. so th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. theee. the. the. the. the the. the. the. the. the. the plant thing that comes up like early on in the movie so you know it's going to come like later and the fly gets squashed in it. So it's like, but it's a fun movie. I haven't seen it in years so my memory of it's a little, a little rocky but yeah it's fun. Like I said like tonally it's funny and also very sad. Yeah, this movie also encapsulate. Yeah, I agree. I love it. I loved it. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. the the th. th. th will also give it a 9.5. I think it's just fantastic. The acting is great. The effects are wonderful. For sure. It's so watchable. It's just like you can't stop watching it. Can't stop, won't stop. Yeah. Rockefeller. I know. Yeah, I loved it. Katie. Yeah. Hmm. I wish there was a way to... You know what else I love Katie? You know what else I love Katie? What? Jason McKidrick. The dude is super sweet. You're gonna puke on him.
Starting point is 00:39:50 You're gonna puke on him. Actually, right here, I'm holding it. Actually, right here. that. the Jaqaeatric teleportation pin that he sent us in one of the Crypto Carion Barcela Terror. I remember getting this and being like, oh someday I'll understand that. Yeah, that's great. Oh, I love it. What is the Barcela of Terror? The Parcel of Terror is a monthly subscription box that you can get by going to Cryptocurium. It's CRY-PT-O-T-U-R-Y-U-M dot com. It is a cardboard box that is mailed to you every month and inside is where the real treasures are. There are things like this pin that is the teleportation pod from the fly. There are plaques, there are magnets, there's drawings, there's

Cryptozoological set is fucking insane. I love it. I love them. I have the wolf man right here staring at you on my mic stand.
