This is a movie about crime being legal. So I'm sorry I rented this movie. What if for one day a year you just downloaded as many movies as you kill? Honestly I was thinking about this like what if there was, because what they keep saying is, every crime is legal, including murder. Which seems to be the only crime you want to do. I'm thinking, I'm gonna fucking commit insurance fraud, you? Like, I was thinking like, what would I do on this day? Right. I would commit cyber theft.

So Snake Pliskin, a war hero come criminal, is sent in to rescue the president played by Donald Pleasance who keeps slipping into an English accent.

And it's- Donald Pleasant is so dumb. I love him. He's so drunk though. They encounter the Duke of New York played by Isaac Hayes. Oh wow. It's a great movie. I like this. Ernest Borgnine is in it. No shit. Harry Dean Stanton. And my boyfriends. Kurt Russell? Yeah. Yeah. As Snake Fluskin. The sexiest of the pliskins. I guess he's all our all our boy f. And it's absurd and dumb but a lot of fun. And I was like, this is kind of that thing. This is a dumb movie that could be really fun. Yeah, okay. So you're setting yourself up for excitement and fun. But then it starts off with that like CCTV footage, the of like just people killing? Yeah, I was

not into that. I just finished this book called The Dinner by Herman Cook, which is a Dutch novel about teenage, like privileged teenage boys murdering a homeless person. I think that's her natural hair. That cannot be her hair. She has dark hair naturally. I know, but they cannot be that. It was too perfect. It looks great. You said? 2020. Yeah. I feel like that would have, thoooo. have really changed my, I assumed it was like the far future. Not the far future, but like 2050 or, you know, like not within the same. I was hoping you were saying like, you know, like 2025. No, just it cannot be within the same decade. I feel like that's just a little bit.

It was weird. They keep talking about the good that the Purge does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does does th does th does th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is the good that the purge does. Right. I'm a little unsure about that. Oh no, it's a terrible concept. Like, okay, so the purge is basically poor people can't defend themselves? They're saying because unemployment is so low, no one's committing crimes anymore. Because people have what they need, except that there're still the 1% who are completely unemployed and poor. And so no one's committing crimes so they're getting this buildup of violence inside themselves. So strange. Yeah. I mean like I don't commit a lot of crimes. I like you know I buy weed and I

drive my car sometimes a little too fast on the highway but like I don't feel like a build up of rage or anything.
