Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 121- A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child (1989)

Episode Date: February 13, 2017

This week we're enjoying (?) a piece of real garbage: the 1989 installment in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise, "Part 5: The Dream Child." Yeah, there's no dancing around it this week-- it is ...100% terrible. It does provide us with some great special topics though, including the fact that his movie expects us to have seen and remember all or at least some of the preceding movies, the sheer volume of Freddy quips, baby Freddy having burns and the fact that this is not even the least sensical part of this movie, a Great British Bake Off shoutout and a very special announcement. Can't get enough Freddy? We covered the original "Nightmare on Elm Street" in Episode 4 (!) so go back and listen to us not be entirely sure how to do a comedy podcast. Have you seen this one? I was like a girl who was supposed to be in high school, but I was obviously like 27. Sure. That all my friends were too?

Also, I Googled movies, horror movies about unborn children because we'd already done Rosemary's baby and the omen and I'm pregnant. What? What? What?
Starting point is 00:01:26 The biggest horror movie of all, pregnancy. Congratulations. Thank you. From me and all of the wherewulf ambulance family. Oh, they can congratulate me themselves. Oh, that's true. We're now accepting congratulations. Yeah, we think it's Rob's pretty stoked.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Shit. It gets you every time. I say it every time. It gets you every time. Every time. Every time you laugh. So, yeah. Congratulations, Katie. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:01:52 So it brought us this terrible movie. I'm sorry that I put my unborn child through having toum tum where you're on. It knows. But with that information, we're gonna figure out what that means for broadcasting and all that stuff. Yeah, hopefully it doesn't fuck up too bad. Yeah, so if we have to do like a repeat episode at some point, back in your feed or we'll still be around, but we're figuring out. Yeah, it's a baby, guys. the baby, it's a baby, tap, th. It's, th. It's a th. th. th. th. the th. th th the th th the th the the th the th th th thi. shut up room temp your butter let's go room temp your butter indeed this is also I have been
Starting point is 00:02:29 talking excessively about food on the podcast someone a friend of mine who knew and who listens to the podcast was like all you do is tell Alan to get you scones and sandwiches and I was like am I really doing that cool I'm soo thi to thi to tell thin thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to te te te te te te te te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te.. So hungry. Oh man. Starving. I love scones and sandwiches. Me too. But we're not here to talk about scones and sandwiches. No. We're here to talk about Bobby England playing that Freddy again. So quippy. This is like his height quippiness, would you say?
Starting point is 00:02:58 Is it because all he says is bitch? Yeah. Bona tete, bitch. Forgive me for saying it but all he says is bitch. Yeah. Bonapatite, bitch. Yeah, he has some other things like fuel injection. Fast lane. That was so stupid. Okay. Open wide. Second helping you are what you eat. Like he's like basically at this point a doll of himself where you pull the string and he says these things but he's just saying them over and over, and it's the movie. His face looked more like a rubber mask than I ever remember it looking. I mean, this would be fucking wretched.
Starting point is 00:03:34 We can't, we get in there first? Oh yeah, okay, I assume he was just like, yeah, no, I'm not doing six hours again. You get no, I th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thu thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, tho thu, thu. that, tho tho tho tho th. th. thu, thu, thus thus thus thus thus. thus. He's thu, thu. He's th. He's th. He's, th. He's, th. He's th. He's, th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's thi. He's like, the. You need me to do more. Run down to Walgreens by the mask because it's there. Full disclosure, I have seen the first Freddie movie that we did on here and then Dream Warriors when it came out. That's the third one. Yeah. I saw it because it has a duck and a ducking. It's the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the to has has has has has has has has has has has has to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the. the. the. to. to. to. together. together. together. together. Love me some duck and I'm always rocking with them. And then, uh, I've seen this movie. So surprisingly, this movie expected you to be fully immersed in the lore. I know, so I had seen the first one, and I think I've seen the second one, but I don't really remember it. I had no fucking idea who these people were or what they were talking about. But you're supposed to, right? You're supposed to. It's basically like I needed to have seen a previous movie to understand what was happening in this one. Yeah, and it wasn't like in Friday the 13th, part eight, Jason takes a boat ride. It. It. It. It. It. It, th. It, th. It, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, and I thi, and I thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thiiiii's thiiii's thi's thi's thi's thi. thi. thi.'t like in Friday the 13th part 8 Jason Takes a Boat Ride which they were like oh yeah and then you know Michelle's here and you guys
Starting point is 00:04:49 remember Michelle from earlier and we were like no no we don't yeah not at all it didn't feel like that it felt like oh no I legitimately had miss shit because I didn't see the other movies. It was like there needed to be a last time yeah but really two times ago on Nightmare on Elmstreet the the the the the the the th Street Street Street Street Street. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. th. th. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tom-I tom-I tha. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. t. t. t. t. Yeah. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. t. t. Yeah. t. Yeah. Yeah. t. t. Yeah. t. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. the th. th. th. t. th. th. Street? Because what happens in the fourth movie? The Dream Master? Come on. Is it like the third, fourth, and fifth movies, all the arc of these people? It can't be. I don't, I mean, the third movie has Patricia Arquette in it. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:05:16 Yeah. It's, it was fun. Why the third one where he rips the veins out Why don't we do that? My fault. I think the third one is the one where he rips the veins out of someone's arm and makes them into a marionette. Yeah, okay. And that was a good effect. Those don't happen at this movie.
Starting point is 00:05:32 No. No. So we're following Alice, who is our lead, played by Lisa Wilcox. She's a high school student, stunningly. But her 401k is doing awesome right now. Right? And her boyfriend is Mark. Mark? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Sure, fine. I'm glad you're getting to go. No, wait, no. Mark is. No, Mark's the guy with the comic books. Dan. Dan is a man. Who was played by Danny Hassel? Danny Hassel? Danny Hassel? Okay, thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Yes, the H is silent, it's Danny Assul. Danny Asl. And we start up with a dream that Alice is having, where she dreams that she's Amanda Kruger. Right. And it goes through the whole, well, the rape where Amanda gets pregnant. Right. And it goes through the whole, well, the rape where Amanda gets pregnant with Freddie. And Robert Englin is one of the, one of the maniacs in the asylum. Right. I don't think there were 10,000 of them.
Starting point is 00:06:38 No, really? That's your one. You used it. Seven minutes in. Gone and gone. I loved that 10,000 maniacs back in the day. That's your one. You used it. Seven minutes in, gone and gone. I loved that 10thousand Madiacs back in the day. I have been, yeah. That's some good champs. Okay, fair enough.
Starting point is 00:06:52 I just know that one song that was on the radio that when I was a child. I'm not gonna sing it. I don't feel like it. I won't do it. Not today. Not today. Because the nut. Oh, is the cover. Yeah, yeah. See, I did it. It's fine. I have the note. My second, or third note is what are they rubbing? I have no idea what I'm talking. Mine says deaf put your hand in there, Groso? I know what they're, I'm talking about. So the opening credits is a really close-up on two people's bodies. Oh, yeah. But you can't tell like what's like, I was like, is that a booby or a ribcage or? Yeah. Okay, I have this is how babies get made, I guess, which seems like I should know. And I had no idea what that note meant. This is just for full
Starting point is 00:07:46 disclosure. I have no idea what happened in this movie. I watched it four days ago. It's like it's gone. It's like it was a dream when you woke up. It was a dream. It ended and I was like, do I have to watch it again? I don't know anything. There's no way I'm watching this again. Oh no, I will never watch this again. Oh no, I will th. I will th. I will th. I will th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll. I'll th. I'll. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch it's th. I'll watch. I watch. I'll watch it's th. I'll watch th th th this this this this this this this this this this this. I watch it this. I watch it this. I watch it th. I watch it th. I watch it th. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll watch it's th. I'll watch it's th. I'll watch it's the th. I'll watch. I'll watch. I'll part of the movie is that plant wearing jeans in her bedroom. Why didn't that come into you? I wanted Freddie to inhabit that at some point. It is so good. I'm definitely setting one of those up in my home. I'm a perennial bitch. Like, I just wanted to like, I just want to.
Starting point is 00:08:14 I have to know, this is what happens when bodies start slapping they were just rubbing each other. Just rub it in like a blue light. Yeah. It's sweaty. So sweaty. That's how babies get made made. I think I don't know. I don't know why I wrote this but it made me laugh and it's making me laugh again. So after the body rubbing we go into the dream sequence because Dan th. the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their they. they. they. they. they. they. they. the they. the they. the the the they. the the the the the the into the dream sequence because Dan leaves and Alice falls asleep. And then we see all these maniacs and I wrote the note is this Mumford and Sons. I don't even get that. Because they wear like old timey clothes and they're all those guys wearing your cute suits. I get it now. And I'm old and it made me laugh. No, I like it. I love the jeans. I have so many notes about the planter and jeans. Every time it cluffed up, I root down. So we are then at their high school graduation, where we meet her friends.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Right. I'm not going to get into them right now because I don't want to. What I want to get into is the fact that she's clearly clearly one. And I was like, oh my god, you were so just holding it. I just saw it in your hand. Are you talking about her friends Greta, Mark, and Yvonne? Greta is a supermodel to be. The supermodel to be. No. the mom giving the photo up. Yeah. And they're both like, mm-mm. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Yvonne, she's a candy striper at a hospital and also keeps talking about swim practice, but she's clearly a diver, so I don't know. She's practicing for two hours a day, six days a week. So that's not swimming, that's diving. They're very different things. But okay also clearly not her when the dive portion of the diving is No, it's great. Love her bathing suit though. I love her one other girl's bathing suit that's like it was like slit all the way up the side and there was a belt involved and I was like you're not diving in that what do you do?
Starting point is 00:10:15 A girl in the background yeah yeah I did I like that too it was it it appeared to be like a leather belt belt too which is like it's like it was, chafing on your legs, your bare hips, because you're cut to your butt hole, pass your, whatever. Her god-dh-dea buttle. And then there's Marker Comic Book guy. That's all. I mean, this is so formulaic at this point of these slasher movies. So I guess what we are supposed to know from the third movie is that Freddy had been haunting her dreams,
Starting point is 00:10:46 I guess. I don't know. Right. Or the fourth movie. The fourth movie. I think. The third movie I don't think is about her. Okay, so that makes sense then.
Starting point is 00:10:54 The fourth movie, you know, I don't really care. But I mean, just like, I don't understand the thing of, in these movies, like, I don't know about you in high school, but my friend circle was not like a jock, a nerd, a swimmer. You know, you were like, oh, all the like punks and metalheads go and hang out together. And then, like, you know, you're in your little subgenres. Yeah, you don't, you don't mix. You don't mix with supermodels, mixing with swimmer divers. But I guess it's just there for their assortment of kills. Sure.
Starting point is 00:11:29 It's true. And to have all those funny, funny, funny things that Freddie says. God. I hope they're ad-lipped. What if they're written down? They're 100're written down? They're definitely written down. What if they're written down? They're 100% written down. 100% written down. It's basically all this stuff is happening that we're supposed to understand, but I don't
Starting point is 00:11:51 understand. Like, Alice is going to her job at the diner where she has like a blackout, where she's in an asylum and Amanda's giving birth talk about this too. Because Freddy looks like Freddy does because he was a pedophile who got burnt. Right, he's not always been fucked up. No, he wasn't a little burnt baby. No, he was not a little burnt baby. It was so stupid and annoying. Yeah, I have, I have the note here, it says, baby Freddy rules, but he doesn't make sense.
Starting point is 00:12:19 He looks cool and he was scary and whatever. Also I leaned I I I I I leaned I I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned I leaned to to to to to th. I to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. He was, I was, he was, he was th. He was, he was th. He was th. He was th. He was th. He was th. He was th. He was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, he was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, he was like, he was like, while we were watching a movie, and I was like, this is what it's gonna be like. And he was like, ah. So that's funny. That's a funny joke I've been doing. And we meet her dad. And her dad's like, oh, I didn't know if you wanted me to be around. Because you know, I was a drunk. And was I supposed to know that he that he that he that he th. th. the last, th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi's this is this is this is this is this is this is like, this is like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's was like, this is like, this is like, this is this is like, this is this is like, this is like, this is this is like, this is like, this is like, this is not now. So yeah, it sounds like you're not. But also like. And was I supposed to know that he was a drunk? Yeah, I don't know. Maybe in the last movie he's a drunk. Who cares? He's cleaned up his act? The next one I have just says, we missed a lot
Starting point is 00:12:52 of plot somewhere. I do like the design of the dream. I feel like the design of the dream. I feel like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. throwne. th. th. th. th. th. thrown. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the d. the dwee. the d. the dwee. throwne. throwne. throwne. thr. thr. thr. thr. their. their. their. their. their. the. their. their. throe. their. their. their. they just keep going back to the same set, basically, of for the dream stuff at this asylum that looks like a Gothic castle. Yeah, I did like that a lot, that location. Mm-hmm. And the giant baby carriage that's being pushed around. Yeah, weird, like, pram, dirty, broken thing. It would do very poorly in consumer reports. What I would like to talk about is Dan's death scene, where Freddie inexplicably has his own steering wheel in the car?
Starting point is 00:13:29 Because for a second, Freddy's clearly in the passenger seat, and he has a steering wheel, and I was like, this movie's not British. And then I was like, oh, that's just a useless steering wheel that the te. Well, you know, people have those bumper stickers that just say let Freddy take the wheel. Oh, okay. Okay, that makes sense. Freddy is my co-pilot. Then he rips off his own arm and uses it as a seatbelt? It does!
Starting point is 00:13:49 I actually loved that. I adored that. Yeah, that was wonderful. Oh, there were these toys. I can't remember the name of back on when I was a wee child. Sure. And they never stuck back. Oh that's so sad. That's such a bummer. But I had a couple of them and we're like, oh you can switch their arms and blu- you just fall back off. But yeah he does a lot of like contorting his own body to do things. Yeah. So Dan is thrown from his truck. trown from trown from true. true. thrown from his thrown from his thrown from his thrown from his true. thrown from his thrown from his thrown from his thrown from his to to to thrown thrown thrown thrown thrown thrown thr-up. thr-up. thu. th. th. thu. th. thu. th. th. th. I th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I. I. I. I. I's th. I. I. I's. I. I's. I. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's th. I's. I's thin. I's th. I's thin. I's th. I'm so so so some. I'm some. I'm somea. I'm s. I'm s. I'm s. I'm such. I'm such. I'm such. I'm such a toda. I'm such such a th. I'm such such such a th. I'm from his truck into the swimming pool where the pool party we were at that we didn't mention earlier there was a pool party.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Oh yeah, at the high school, which you really probably can't do. No, and they were getting live too. And Yvonne's like, oh I have swim practice so they gave me the key to lock up. I was like, are you the only person at swim practice, swim practice his laps, lady. Whatever. And then Dan gets back out of the bull party being chased by Freddie and hops on this beautiful motorcycle that's just sitting there with the keys in it. Fuel injection! And then the motorcycle turns out to be Freddy. Fast lane!
Starting point is 00:14:57 And it looks so shitty, great. This was probably when I was up by like oh this is going to be amazing because like it's sticking on these wires into him and he's getting very like Cronenberg looking like and... You're laughing so hard. I have the note who wrote this after Fassilane? Fasslane? And then I have the note Dan gets sucked into a dream buthole and Alice sees his truck burning. Yeah, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:15:29 And the dream butthole comes up multiple times in this movie. Yeah, I'd like to talk more about the dream butthole as we get there. Yeah, I think I know what it's supposed to be, but it just looks like a colon. Have you ever been to the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia? I was there like two months ago. Oh, were you really? Like the mega colon? Yeah, I love that. Love everything in that place.
Starting point is 00:15:51 The thing is like, she's all, she's talking about Freddy Kruger, like everybody knows him. You know what I mean? Well, the kids all sing his song. That's true. It's sort of the Jason 8 problem of like, everyone's just talking about Jason, like they know him, like everyone knows him. I just don't understand, I just don't understand. I just don't understand. Hi Alice, wanna make babies?
Starting point is 00:16:13 Oh, why does he say that? Why does he say that? And it's not his baby, right? I guess so. It's like never quite clear who's baby it is. Alice ends up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. that, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that, that, th. th. th. th. that, th. th. that, that, that, that, that, the th baby it is. Alice ends up in the hospital. Because she passes out when Dan, when she sees Dan's corpse and Freddy says, hi Alice, want to make babies? Okay, right, right, right. So she wakes up in the hospital and finds out that he is dead and that she is pregnant. I don't know why they would
Starting point is 00:16:38 give her pregnancy test. Like at that point, I guess they would do a blood test, but I don't know that they would just check for that And she's freaking out because her boyfriend's dead and Freddie asked if they wanted to make babies Yeah, and the doctor goes oh, this is normal at this stage. Yeah, and I was like baby. This isn't normal for pregnancy No, it's not normal. No, and then we meet Jacob. And then we meet Jacob. thi. I knew from a th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the th. th. the the the th. th. the th. the th. th. th. the th. the th. the th. the th. the th. the they's they's the the the they's they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's their. their their their their their boy. the th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the the. the the the the the the. the the the the the the their boy. they're they're then we meet Jacob. Little boy Jacob. Who I knew from a lot of other things as it turned out. Oh really? He's a kid at the beginning of Jurassic Park who is like that doesn't look scary and then they like see how Neil cuts him open with a with a nail. Yeah yeah and he was also in like a few episode arc of Foolhouse where he had a duck face. Yeah. That's Yeah, well, duck face. That's all. I just want to tell you that I knew him.
Starting point is 00:17:26 It doesn't make sense that he's like eight, right? Yeah. Because of what we find out later, that Jacob is her baby. Yeah. Right. Future baby? Coming to her in dream times. We're just like a sack. Yeah. Why? Why? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:45 I don't know either. And then we go back to Greta. She's a weird doll collector. Well, I have the note, who the fuck is Greta? Because she looks completely different from when she looked at the beginning of the movie. Oh, do you think so? That's funny. And then, yes, her being a doll collector. No, no. They do that really subtle thing with the broken doll face.
Starting point is 00:18:07 It was subtle. I didn't catch it at all. No. And it luckily doesn't come back at some point in the movie. So Gret is having a dinner, seemingly a Beetlejuice dinner? I was going to say, I have literally right here. their mom equals Catherine O'hera and she's that's that she's that she's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that scene, yeah. And their house has the same decor. Yeah. With all these like, some guy that's like,
Starting point is 00:18:28 I have a friend who's in the Ford agency. I can talk to them for you. It's like, ew, get away from me gross to shit. And then she immediately falls to sleep while she's at the dinner party. Yeah. Her mom has always been hassling about her her, about her weight also. It's like a thing we've come to understand for her modeling purposes. And then Freddy shows up and starts puts her into a high chair. Sure. And starts force feeding her. Open wide! Second helping! It immediately is disgusting.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Like I was like nauseous. Yeah, it's super gross. I like that it's that gross. It's supposed to be. You know what I mean? It's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi, thi, thi thi, thi, thi, we thi, we thi, we thi, we's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. thiiiii. thi. thi. thi. thi.. I like that it's that gross. It's supposed to be. You know what I mean? It's like her face is all puffing up full of food and it's mushing out her fit. It's just like all green and blah. She kind of looked like thunder the one storm from Big Trouble Little China when he starts exploding himself. Sure. Yeah. Yeah, and her face just kind of the butthole. It's like a butthole. Yeah, it's subtle. Yeah, it's like. Yeah, it's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like the face. It's like the face. It's like the face. It's like, it's like, it's like, it's the f. It's the f. It's the f. It's the f. It's the f. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like fu. It's like. It's stuffing food into. A lot of buttholes in this. Remember about baby making a lot of butt-holes. You know what I'm saying? It's subtle. It's subtle. It's subtle. Wait is that how babies get made? That's the babies don't get me. I'm still unsure. And so we cut to, well Freddy's stuff and there we cut to, well Freddy's stuff and there we cut to everybody else at the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thin, it's, thinks, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, th's subtle, th subtle, th subtle, thet, thin, th subtle, subtle, thet, subtle, subtle, subtle, subtle, subtle, subtle, subtle, thet, subtle, thin, thin, thin, then we cut to everybody else at the table seeing Alice just kind of like throwing herself up in the air. Oh right right right right and then we cut to or not Alice Greta yeah and then we cut to Alice in the kitchen making dinner for her dad and she's like how's dinner to her dad and she's like how's dinner coming in there literally like she was woke up that? the morning in the ti. the their the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the to eat right. Also everything in their fridge is covered in tinfoil except for a bowl spaghetti. Put some fucking tidfoil on that. When I said who keeps all these cans with tinfoil on top
Starting point is 00:20:10 and Missy was like put your tip fide back in the day? I was like all right I got to. No tuporware. I guess Tupperware probably not that ohm. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. t. t. t. t. t. guess Mr. Alice just isn't on to. Yeah, yeah, her mom has. He drank it away. He drank his tupper, he sold his teperware for drinks. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hap. But so there's this great stop motion animation of the mold. I really did. I kept waiting for the stop-mmotion animation of the mold. I really did. I kept waiting for the Van Halen hamburger from Better Off Dead to I'm busting out.
Starting point is 00:20:48 It was like that level of animation was great. I don't know what it was supposed to show us. Just that, you know, everything is gross. And then Greta like pops out of the door of the fridge with a big butthole face. And she's like, thau, their, their, their, their, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. that's, that's, that's, that's, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's like, like, like, like, like, like, arms and Alice is like, what? She doesn't even freak out that much. Not that freaked out. And she's had a really hard day, so I think it would be. Then Mark goes into the take on me video? Why?
Starting point is 00:21:12 He does it a couple times. Hmm. And Mark also falls into the dream colon. And then I had the note, wait, is Jacob her baby? Yes, but he's like, he's literally a second grader. And then? Because she sees him in the hospital and then asks Yvonne about him because Yvonne works here.
Starting point is 00:21:34 And Yvonne's like, there's no kids in the hospital. the hospital? Where are you? OK OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? OK? the? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? around here and upsets them. Also, you're in high school, you would probably be in a pediatric ward. So whatever. Yvonne is also an ultrasound tech, as it turns out. Candy Stripers, slash, ultrasound tech. So Alice goes to Yvonne to figure outthat the baby's messed up. Sure. And Dr. Shitty shows back up again. Such a dig. He's the worst.
Starting point is 00:22:08 And Alice asked him if unborn babies dream. Which is not like a crazy question. I feel like I've asked dumber questions than that. But I was like, whoa, do they? And then I went and looked it up, and they totally do. I think 24 weeks or something. They also pee inside you. Yeah, when you're filling in two babies, the first thing that the auto fill is pee. In the womb. Yeah, peeing in there right now. I know. So babies do dream, that's insane. And it's not, the OB is like so weird about her asking that when it's like a pretty okay I mean people want to know thing I would never have thought about
Starting point is 00:22:49 I mean I guess I would find a baby inside me I probably would think of every Every thing you think of all these crazy shit. Yeah, can't drive baby take the wheel Little hands pop through your bill Baby can't shift. Oh, man. Yeah, baby work in the pedals? Oh? Oh, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the problem. Maybe you can't reach the gear shaft. Oh man. Yeah. Baby working the pedals. So she has another dream where we see the Alley McBeale baby inside of her. Yeah, yeah. For all you kids, that was a television show. Go look it up. Wait, I want to say one thing though. Please. Is this where, is this where Freddie says, Feeding time, re, an umbilical cord? When, this is where I have the note, Freddy is all up in them guts,
Starting point is 00:23:34 because Freddy's face is in her womb? That's what it is, that's what it is. He has been pregnant for like 20 minutes. 20 minutes. There's like a 11 to 13 week old yes in there. It's the Allie McPiele baby and it's just dancing. I guess. Also apparently the doctor gives no fucks about hip-hop about hip-up, because he's straight up calls Dan's parents. Dr. Moore is in breach of hip-up. Yeah, Dr. Moore gives no fucks about hip.
Starting point is 00:23:59 I think we watch this together without knowing it. Were you in my womb? Oh, how bum would you be to be carrying me as a baby? It would be tough on my joints, carrying a full-grown man. Well, your baby is now 43 years. When did he get there? Well, by this movie's timeline, that could happen. It could happen. You're dreaming in there, little one. Uh, ha ha ha.
Starting point is 00:24:27 And then I have the note pants planter scares me because I was looking at waiting for it to do something. Yeah, I just move, move in any way. It didn't. It would terrify me if I woke up in the middle of the night and looked over and there's a pair of legs near my bed? No, I'm not gonna have it. I thought you look cool, that's... Well, I know when I'm getting you for Christmas. That's right. At this point, Yvonne ain't having it. No, she thinks Alice is acting like a crazy person. Which she is.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Although apparently Yvonne should have experienced the Freddie Kruger thing with her before, according to like the mythology the mythology the mythology the mythology the mythology the, according to the mythology of this movie seemingly, that she should... Oh yeah, yeah. She seems to know about Freddie Krueger, but she doesn't believe any of it, which doesn't make any sense if she had experienced the previous movie, which neither of us have seen to verify it. Because early on Dan, rest in peace. I'm not going to have to do a charting of how often we reference bones thugs and harmony on here.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Thank you, Emily. Thank you, Emily. Hi, Emily. Dan was, they were talking and she's like, I saw Freddy again. And Dan's like, as long as you don't dream him, he won't show up. Right, right. As if you have control over that shit. Right. Last night I dreamed, I dream him, he won't show up. Right, right, right, right. As if you have control over that shit. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Last night I dreamed, I punched Rob in the face with my keys in my hand. I didn't want to dream that. Wow, wow. And then I woke up and I was like, what do you do? All right. All right, multiple times I've gotten blamed for something that's happened in my partner's dream. Oh yeah. And I'm like, like, I literally one morning was like, yeah, I'm kind of mad at you right now.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Why? You did this in my, in a dream and I was like, no, that's, that doesn't cut mustard. That good. See, this is my problem with like virtual reality. That's what it's doing to you, you guys, you guys, yeah, your brain can't separate those things and I just don't think it's good for you. And I just want you to take care of yourselves.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Your mothering instinct is really kicking in. Well, I did, I did, I had that. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, guys, that, that, that, that, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's from one phone or whatever they do. I don't know, they just push all this buttons. They're magicing it. And the guy was like, do you want to try one of these? And I was like, no. And then I was like, yeah. And I put on it was a haunted house. And it was a VR helmet. Yeah, it was like the graphics aren't great, but it's very immersive. It seemed like, I mean a bat flew at me and I screamed. So, and the guy was like, what would you see? And I was like, the bat and he's like, you're not even inside yet.
Starting point is 00:27:13 And I was like, I'm done. I, oh, yeah, I don't think I'm ready for some lawnmower man shit. No, I just think it's, I think it's, I's, I's, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I'm, I'm, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I'm, th. I'm, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, I, the, the the the th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thee. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. the. the. the. that, that, it's, I think it's, I think it's not right. I think our brains just aren't cut out for it. It's not for me. We're barely cut out for doing that, yeah, I don't know. We're all fucked up. I wouldn't have problems with my cell phone. Yeah, so yeah, Yvonne's not having it. And then the Jordan's, their, thanks, and they's, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, to, the, the, the, tho, tho, the, to, to, to, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, thin, thin, thr, they. they. they. the, they. they. they. they. they. the, the, the, the, they. they. the, the, they. the the, the, they. toda, tho, tho.'s parents are the Jordans, by the way. Yeah, and they're not, like, even her dad is there. I mean, he has as much claim if they have a claim, he has a claim too. Like, you don't just get to claim someone else's baby. I don't know how that works. But I just don't think it's true. No, I don't think so. No, I don't think so. And she should should should should should s s s she she she she s she. And she s she s she s she s she. And she s she s she s she s she s she should th and she should th. And she should th th th th th th th th th th th th. No. And she should th. And she should th. And she should should should should th. And she should s s s s s th. And she should should should should should s s s the th. And she should s s s th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she th. And she should should should should should should should should should should should s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s th. And she should really really really really really s s s th. th. th. th. th. thi th. th. thi thi th. thi th. And she should should should really really really really th. And she about it. Yeah, because Dr. Moore called the Jordan he told them that she was acting whack. Yeah, it's not right. No, not at all.
Starting point is 00:28:07 And I said, hell yeah Alice tell those wasps. Yeah, really? The next note I have says rarely is there not a body when someone hangs themselves? To what does that refer? I have no idea? Someone hang themselves? thrown. to the the to. to. their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their, their, their, th. their, th. th. their, their, their, their. their. Yeah, their. their. Yeah, to. Yeah, to. Yeah, to. Yeah, to. Yeah, to. Yeah, to. Yeah, to. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.. Yeah................... Yeah... Yeah........... Yeah. Yeah..... Yeah.. Yeah..... Yeah.. Yeah.. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.. Yeah.......... Someone hanged themselves. Was it Amanda? Oh, it was Amanda. Yeah, she feels like she supposedly committed suicide. But they never found the body. Right. That's not how... then how do they know she hanged herself? Yep. Okay. So Alice goes to Mark. their plan where she's going to go in and fuck with Freddie Krueger and she's like, Mark will never stay awake. This didn't work for Johnny Depp. It's not gonna work for you. All right, P, Johnny Depp. He died in that movie. Remember the bed and the flood and flood?
Starting point is 00:28:50 Oh yeah. Oh, she was going- I'm glad you might really be dead, and I didn't hear about it, in which case? Would you really be sad at this point? go yes, now no. She's going in to find a man to crew, or not to fuck with Friday, I'm sorry. I misspoke about the plot of this film. You know what? I didn't even hear you say that, honestly.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Or if you did, I forgot it as quickly as I forgot this movie. So Mark definitely falls asleep, and Yvonne is also falling. Yvonne is also falling asleep, which is hell a dangerous. Don't not put your head underwater in a hot top ever, right? It's like a bacteria factory. It's disgusting. Yeah. And just like, why would you want to? Yeah, your butt's in there. Don't put your head under the water. A lot of buttholes. There's a lot of buels into me. This is where she goes on the diving board to hell, right? It is. There's hardly any splash thii. It's a good dive. It's a good. It's a good thin. It's a good thin. It's a good thin. It's a thin. It's a thin. It's a thin. It's a thin. It's a thin. It's a thin. It's a thin. It's a thin. It's a thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to tooom. It's tooom. It's thin. It's thin. thin. thin. thin. thin. thin. thu. thu. their their their their their the the human soup. the thu. the thu thu thu the thu thu thu thu thu thu. to little thing. Like I figured she could take that on a road and start like doing that like those donkeys that jive into a bucket. I'm like state pairs. I've never seen that, but sure. Everyone is in the dream at this point.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Alice, because Alice wakes up and sees that Mark is asleep. So she draws him into the picture where Mark is herself. Or draws herself in the th. In the aha video. Okay, yeah, yeah. And Mark is now wearing like a full rainbow color outfit. I love it. His outfit's so good. He's wearing a lot of vests and I feel like in 1989, so was I. So I was pretty stoked on this. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:30:13 And um, so she draws herself into the scene. So she draws herself into the scene. I loved Freddy's skateboarding. Why is he skateboarding though? I don't know. You kid's skateboard, right? I don't know. This is right after Alice pulls Yvonne away from Freddy Kruger.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Yeah, theyce is the tool. And there's just like a huge boom mic in the shot. Oh is there really? Because we were watching and Rob was like, what is that? Something's up there and I was like, what do you talk? Oh, that's a boom mic. Yeah, they were just, no. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:30:55 This is also where Freddy has a line. Bastard maniac, more powerful than a loco madman. It's super Freddy. Because it's comic book, see. And Mark has turned into his comic book character who's, I don't know, I don't remember, the phantom something. The guy. But Mark has the great line. Time to die, you scarfaced, limp dick. It's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:31:20 So the same person isn't writing the rest of these lines, it's writing Freddy's lines, you know what I mean? And this is where I have the note, Yo, Freddy is corny, because Freddy is fucking corny. But like, he finds everything so funny. He does. He's have a good time. He has such joy in the world. He takes such pleasure and everything. And I think I felt this way about Chuck E. Where's, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, to to too, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to, to to. to. to. to. to. to. to to. to. to to to to to to to to to to to thi, thi, the. the. the. the. the. to the. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to laughing constantly through this movie. Everything cracks him up. It's true. Yeah. I don't know. It's super corny though. Oh yeah. Everything he says is a quip. He literally says almost nothing in this movie that isn't a quip. I have the note is she delicious or am I
Starting point is 00:31:58 crazy? And I don't even know what that refers to. He must have said it. Oh so so, um, Freddy has a porcelain doll of, uh, uh, Greta, stuffed full of food. Why? And he goes, is she? Is she delicious or am I, crazy? Oh, that's right. And he has a, is she delicious or am I crazy? And then throws the doll down and it breaks and there's jam all there all to explain that to me, I really do. I'm sorry that I knew it. So they end up back in the real world.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Yeah. And Alice is like, Yvonne, go to the asylum. And Yvonne's like, cool, bye, gets in our car and drives there. I'd be like, fuck you. I'm going home. You've got to go to the tower because that's where's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the body's that's the body that's that's the body the body that's the body that's the body the body that's the body the body's where the body the body's where the body's th. Kruger is. Right. Behind a brick wall. Right. So take your rebar. That she just finds a piece of rebar on the ground. In front of the painting, you mean? The painting of the asylum? Oh yeah, yeah, it's like a mat painting. It's like, would you go to this painting?
Starting point is 00:32:57 No, you wouldn't go? I don't know. Whatever. Whatever. So Alice is in the Dreamland Asylum, and Yvonne is in the real asylum. Right, OK, sure. And Alice stabs Freddy with the Pram, and it's got all these spikes on the front of it? Because Alice can go to sleep whenever she wants. I wish I had that skill. I kind to do.
Starting point is 00:33:18 I'm like one of those dolls when I lay on my back and my eyes just rolled shut and they fall asleep. Missy hates it. She's like, how do you fall asleep so quick? I'm sorry, I was dreaming. What did you say? I was already in my REM sleep like a baby. I do, I dream immediately as soon as I start falling asleep. I dream. I dream. Your brain must just be like done.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Yeah, I think so. Like, I'm going many weeks I am. Hold on, I'm going to get to now. I'll figure it out while you are. You're going to be 43 in March. Correct. So, okay, I got it. You talk, you talk, I'll calculate.
Starting point is 00:33:55 So, Amanda is in the dreamland. Yvonne, like, his fighting with Freddy, stabs him with the Pram and throws him down into the maniacs? And Freddy's real scared of the maniacs? Yeah, are they more magic than he is, I guess. I don't know. I guess when you get that many maniacs together just to... And they rip Freddy apart. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Or at least rip his arm off. Yeah, yeah, it seems like he should be able to defeat them, but he can't. Which I feel like really makes Freddie... Well they're his dream dad, right? Because isn't he the product of a thousand maniacs? I guess so, yeah. So Freddy, when he gets ripped apart, turns into a bunch of red and green spiders. About 2225, okay? About 2225? Okay. 2225? Yeah, 2225 weeks? 22, 25, 225? 225? Yeah. 2,225? Weeks. Yeah, not including gestation. So we charge them these red and green spiders that Alice is stepping all over after she throws
Starting point is 00:34:56 the top half of her Canadian tuxedo on top of them. Spider-arm lull is what I have written here. And then it becomes some fucking M.C. Escher bullshit. It becomes a labyrinth. Yeah, it's real labyrinthy. I don't know why. I don't care. He should have sung a song about the babe. You remind me of the babe?
Starting point is 00:35:16 That's the one. I can't do any more of it. I'm sorry. That's it. Yeah, so there's a lot of MC Escher bullshit. Like this is the MC usher padding of this film. Yeah. And it's supposed to be the climax and you're just like, hmm, you know? So Freddy's running around, Jacob is there.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Yeah. Was he birthed an eight-year-old? Like, it doesn't make any fucking sense. I understand the babies can't ta- th-a-a-a-a-a-a, but it's just really like... It's real dumb. Yeah, it's real dumb. And... So we, like, what we're to understand is that Freddie is making Jacob evil somehow through the umbilical cord? Possibly? He's throwing souls up the umbilical cord if you remember that. Because when he says feeding time in the womb he throws the souls of her dead friends up the umbilical cord. Just like... I hope her placenta can hold all those souls you know. Maybe doesn't need them all once. It's so stupid. It's so stupid. Oh God bless it. Um, and so Yvonne frees, um, Amanda. She finds her corpse and Amanda's corpse turns around. She's a regular lady and she goes, oh, thank you. And then disappears.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And then she. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then she goes into the dream world and she's like, Freddy, I fucking hate you man. Freddy's like, I hate you too. And then they're like, arduing. And Amanda's like, Jacob, come to me. And then Amanda, Jacob's like, and then Amanda's like, what?
Starting point is 00:37:05 Okay. Turns herself into a Freddy face and then rips him out of her body. Yeah. In this kind of cool, kind of dumb scene where he's like busting out of her legs and arms and. And then Jacob's like, oh wait, I'm the only one who can stop this. And he turns himself into a Freddy? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. th f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f- the the the they they they they they they they they they they they thy thy thy thy thi they. thi thi. thi. th- th- th- th- th- th- th- th- th- th-upy thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. toeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thi one who can stop this. And he turns himself into a Freddy? Yes. But Freddy didn't look like that when he was a baby.
Starting point is 00:37:27 No. Does he, somebody go back, and then somebody goes back into the womb, right? Because I have to know that this is back into the womb equals no Elm Street number six. So Freddy and Jacob and Jacob terms Freddie into baby, or rips baby Freddy out of adult Freddy. Yes, okay, yes, yes. And baby Freddy goes back to Amanda, and she takes him back into her womb. That's what it is. And then there's like, the 2001 baby is being held by Alice, and then it goes back into her womb. Right, right. And Amanda's in a lot of pain because Freddie Baby's inside of her and she runs away.
Starting point is 00:38:05 And there's like, he's like, oh, let me out of here. And there's like doors that keep slamming and exploding over and over? Yeah, like movie sign. Yeah, like movie sign. Oh, boy. And then. And this is where they end the series, right? Yes, exactly. Yep, never made another one. Part six is called Back in the Womb. She made some buddy film.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Yeah, I like that. I forgot to mention that Jacob spits the souls of her friends into Freddy and that's what defeats him. Right, because their kindness. How did he get them from him having taken them in as a just-eating fetus to spitting them out as an eight-year-old while he's still in her womb. I'm going to chew my own fingers off if I have to answer this. No, you're right.
Starting point is 00:38:54 No one should have to answer that. No one should have to answer that. I do have the note, Freddie is trapped in his mom jail. Yeah. So Alice has a baby and they're all hanging out with the baby. Yeah, her dad and Yvonne, yeah. She pushes around in a black baby stroller like a Rosemary's baby stroller. Those are like very difficult to find and purchase. They're also totally impractical.
Starting point is 00:39:17 They don't even think they fold up. And then Kulmode starts playing. That rap is so bad. I was so happy that I was like, something amazing is here, it's Kulmo D. Well, I was like, oh, a rap, it's gonna be a rap about the movie. Like, here comes Freddy and he's here to say, you know, because I'd feel like that was the end of my street.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Yeah, and it isn't. to this movie? So this is 1989 that this film came out. And this is the crossover point when hip-hop was ascending and heavy metal was starting to slide off. You know, 89, 90, 91. So the soundtrack, the first half of it is heavy metal songs. You got your Bruce Dickinson, your wasp, your mammoth. And then the second half is Houdini, Cuomo D, Dr. Ice, and Schooly D. Old Doc Ice. And Samantha Fox, for some reason. Samantha Fox.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Yeah, you obviously were not a young teenager at the point that Samantha Fox was very popular. Whoa. She was like a page three girl in Britain that had a brief singing career. Sure. And I remember a lot of my friends.. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th. th. th. th. thi. Sure, thi. Sure, thi. Sure. Sure. thi. thi. Sure. thi. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thea. thea. thea. the. thea Britain that had a brief singing career. Sure. And I remember a lot of my friends had Samantha Fox posters. No, I can see how you would want that on your wall. You know, Samantha Fox, Lita Ford, Doro Pesh. You want these ladies up in your wall.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Yeah, understood. Uh, I'm not arguing. But it was just, it's interesting that like, that's so of the time, half heavy metal, half hip hop. It's true. But like old hip hop, like, Como D, Schooly D, these guys were like kind of like on their fade at this point, they were coming down. Right, these are not the new hip, yeah, 1989 shit. So that is Freddie part.
Starting point is 00:40:56 Was it? The Freddie child? Hey, sorry. but not that's all right. You want to go to the ratings phase? I'm not going to say that part. I guess. You know how Freddie would end that sentence. This movie is Garbagio. Oh, the Italian garbage.
Starting point is 00:41:15 He's a nice. I'm naming my baby Giardia. It's a nice Italian name. Thanks, Pittsburgh Water. You cannot do that when I'm sitting coffee. I mean my baby Giardiac. Someone else suggested it wasn't even my idea and I just thought it was a nice Italian name. My family will like it. Anyway, yeah. Like I get that it's a sequel and it's part of a series but a movie has to be able to stand on its own.
Starting point is 00:41:40 You cannot just have a movie that makes no fucking sense because you had to have seen the movie before it. Like I feel like even the Harry Goddam Potter movies make it so you can just kind of drop in and watch one and feel connected and understand even if you don't know the overarching plot like you know what I mean. Even these movies that are part of long series like this telling one story make it so you can see an individual movie. You know what I'm saying? Even a Jason or a Michael Myers movie, it'll be like, oh by the way, this stuff happened. Yeah, just real quick. Let's just get everybody up to speed and go. Yeah. Just makes no effort to do that. Not at all. It has no respect for the people watching it. No, it doesn't care. It's like if you didn't the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the to. to. to. to the to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. go fuck yourself Why are you not part of the whole? Yeah, and I am not and I will not be so I'm giving it a two and made no goddame sense
Starting point is 00:42:32 And also like even if I had seen the one before it an eight-year-old spitting those souls from his placenta umbilical cord fetus days while he's still it just doesn't make any sense. Well he's a dream eight year old. I think you broke me. How much did this movie cost to make? Um, there's some okay effects. Eight million. Six million. How much did it gross? Oh, I bet it did well. 22. 22, yeah. I would have guessed like 20, 20, yeah. Yeah, I mean, they kept making them after this, honey, are there in total? Like 37, I thought so, yeah. We should have done West Craven's new nightmare, the Meadow one. I figure we're going to do that at some point because it's much better than this in all honesty. At least Heather Lange in camps in it. I mean in another full house actor. Yeah. Who's the other full house actor? I'm the little
Starting point is 00:43:28 boy who he's in a couple seasons of full house and he's also in kindergarten copies the boys have a penis girls have a vagina kid. Like I love that movie. So there are five numbered for any movies. This is the last numbered. And then there is the final nightmare which was six. Well that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. I's their. I's the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I their. I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. the. the. I. I'm. the. the. I's. the. the. last numbered. And then there is the final nightmare, which was six. Well, that's weird because he's back in the womb, so I don't know how, whatever, go on. West Craven's new nightmare in 94. Yeah. Freddie v. 94, 2003. Little Baron Freddy stretch there. And then the remake, oh, in 2010.
Starting point is 00:44:07 I don't think I knew there was a remake. Oh, yeah. Who's in it? Anybody good? It's the guy who, oh, is Robert England still Freddie? No, no, there's a new Freddie. It's that. He's apparently going to play Freddy in another thing that's coming out sometimes soon. I can't remember the name of the actor that's in it. Give the
Starting point is 00:44:26 man a job. Give the man a job. He was an urban legend. Yeah he's been in a bunch of movies. Jackie Earl Haley plays Freddy in who's like he was in Bad News Bears and breaking away in a bunch of like 70s movies. He's in the watchman. No, no it's a It's a the the the the the the the the the the the th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the th. the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. the. thi. the. thi. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. the the th. the th 70s movies. He's in the Watchmen that movie. No, no, it's a terrible movie. Hate Sack Slander. Fendies Bears is pretty good though. Oh, it's fantastic. Oh, it's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Wait, have you seen the original or the remake? The 70s one. Okay, I don't think I knew there was a remake of that. sports movie? Yeah, Billy Bob Thornton's in it. Yeah. Yeah. I'm gonna give this movie a four. Well, better than a... Because I giggled so much watching it and how stupid it was. It brought me joy and how dumb it was. I'm glad you feel that way. You're filled with joy like Freddy, just laughing at everything. I've got to laugh at something. Or you'll cry. Or I will cry. Yeah, don't bother. Or, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to, th. th. to thi, th. to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. to to to to theeea. to to to to to to to to to to thi. thi. thi. thi. No, don't bother. We did it for you. If you do, it's fucking ridiculous and you're, it's on you at this point.
Starting point is 00:45:28 I think if you haven't seen this yet, if you've seen it, you've seen the whole series. If you haven't seen it, don't bother. I think is probably the way to look at it. There are a lot of people listening to us watching these these these these movies these movies. to us watching these movies because we told them to. That's fucked up and I feel bad about it. We bring them joy Katie. I know but like do you think watching them brings them joy? It can't right. I can't. Friend of the podcast Alexandra, she's the sweetest. She is and she recently did a live tweeting of her watching we are still here. That was really funny.
Starting point is 00:46:05 Oh, it was really good. You guys should check that out. Sorry, we did that to you. Sorry, we did that to you, Alexander. You know who else is great? Yeah. I'm at the end of my Segway rope. Is it Jason? Is it Jason? It's Jason? It's true. Yeah, it just comes right to your door. You don't have to do anything. No.
Starting point is 00:46:56 The money comes out, the box comes in. That's it. Curium has sent you a package and you're like, hey, hey, hey. And if you know someone who would like it as a gift, give it to them as a gift. They're gonna love it. That's a really nice gift. Yeah. It is the gift giving season. And it's always a gift giving season. And it's always a goddamn holiday.
Starting point is 00:47:14 So make someone's day. So make someone's day. So make someone's day. C-R-Y-P-T-O-C-U-R-I-U-M. You can make their 12 days throughout the year because you'll get 12 of them all year. Do you know what I'm saying? And you can be a horror hero, bling! We just freeze-framed. I'm jumping in mid-air, frozen.
Starting point is 00:47:34 It's so weird. It's so weird. This is our last episode, Alan has been frozen and is dead now. So what are we doing next week? We are going to tackle a foreign film, at least foreign language I believe, called Under the Shadow, which takes place in Tehran. Huh. Which have heard Build to me as the Iranian Baba Duke. Okay. So I'm expecting to be upset after watching this one.
Starting point is 00:48:02 Oh good. Yeah, Iranian Baba Duke sounds upsetting. Yeah. Yeah. Nitflix? Netflix. I don't always said, Netflix. Because that's not it. I do want to start knitflicks, though.
Starting point is 00:48:13 It's just for knitters. Knitters, and you can watch. It's like, um, basically, those logs, those you will logs, that they they they they they they they they that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that? No, no, it's just like a log that's burning. It's like a fireplace so that you can knit in front of it like it's a fireplace. Oh, nice. I thought maybe you were doing, is it the Swedish? Is it the slow TV where it's just like two hours of a train going across the country? Oh, that seems frustrating. But I watched cake decorating videos constantly so. It's just so satisfying.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Yeah, it's really satisfying. It's very relaxing. Okay. Check it out. I've been, I've been, you know, to stress relief lately. I've been watching a lot of Great British bakeoff. Yeah. It's so nice to see people being nice to each other. I just like I'm trying to save that because I don't know how much I'm going to get, you know what I Like, I don't want to go plow through them real quick. But so then I'm also giving... Sabring them. Yeah, given QED five bucks a month for it, so. Oh, so yeah. Enjoy that QED. I've think about re-watching them all and trying to do some of the internet. Talk to us. Yeah, give us a review on iTunes.
Starting point is 00:49:25 We love to hear from you guys. Congratulations, Katie. Oh, thanks. That's awesome. We're excited. We're horrified. We're excited. We're terrified.
Starting point is 00:49:32 It's a different. It's a different feeling. It'll be fine. We'll work it out of here. Thanks for listening to another episode of WhereWulf Ambulance. Bye. Bye. Bye.
