Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 125- Event Horizon (1997)

Episode Date: March 13, 2017

In this week's very special guestisode, we're joined by our friend Dave to discuss the 1997 sci-fi/space horror film "Event Horizon." Special topics for your consideration include: more talk about "He...llraiser" because let's always talk about "Hellraiser," Transylvanian salt mines and the treasures they contain, future magic technology such as CD-Rs, using CGI instead of plot devices to varying degrees of success, and referring to Sam Neill only as "Jurassic Park." Want to hear more thoughts on "Hellraiser"? Check out Episode 51 in which we devote an entire hour to it. Or, if you're just really into horror movies in space, you can check out Episode 65- "Alien." Have you seen "Event Horizon"? What did you think? Let us know your thoughts at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey everybody, welcome to another episode of Wearewolf Ambulance. We've been racking our brains for an intro to this one and we got nothing. Nothing. I'm Alan. I'm Katie. And we are joined by our good friend Dave. Hi Dave. Hi Dave. Hi guys. How are you? I'm doing all right. How are you? Good. You should be doing better. You brought us on the Venn Horizon. So Dave's mad at us about something. He brought us a Vend Horizon. Yeah, like what did I do? I'm sure I've mentioned on this podcast before I hate this movie. You definitely have it. Yeah. In space. In space. Not big on space. First Dave was like, I was like, what movie do you th. You th. You th. You th. You to th. You to th. to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I th. I'm th. I th. I'm th. th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I should be th. I should be th. I should be th. I should be th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. to be thi. thi. I'm the. thi. thi. thi. thi. I'm the. I should be. In space. Nothing on space. First day was like, I was like, what movie do you want to do?
Starting point is 00:00:46 And you wrote an email back that was pitch black. And I was just like, dude, Katie hates space, action movies, and probably Vin Diesel. How dare you? I love Ben Diesel. Don't you say that. Bersmurt your good name? My and his good names. All right, so two out of three.
Starting point is 00:01:07 She hated for the yes, yeah. And then you- I wasn't even offered pitch black. I didn't, I've never seen it. Well, I was worried that if I brought pitch black. I would just talk about Fast and the Furious time. He was self-editing by not bringing pitch back. That's fine. And next you were like, it's either existence. And I was like, oh, another Cronenberg movie, that might be all right.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Or Event Horizon. I was like, oh, Katie does not like event horizon. And Dave was like, all right, let me think on this. I like. It's going to be event horizon. I like that you tried to protect things I don't like. But ultimately it failed. Because I mean, you ended up watching Event Horizon. I did.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I paid for Event Horizon. Yeah, I couldn't stop him. He's a juggernaut. It was a juggernaut. All right, Dave, tell us about this movie, like, just why? It's a, it's a ven't horizon. It's a, it. It's a, it. It's a, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it. It's, it's a, it's, it's, it. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It, it. It. It. It. It. It, it. It, it. It. It, it. It. It, it. It. It. It. It, it. It. It. It, it. It, it. It. It, it. It. It, it. It, I. It. It, I. It, I. It. It, I. It, I. It, I. It, I. It. It, I. It, I. It, I. It's a. It's a. It's a. It's a. It's a, I, I, I the. It's a th. It's a th. It's a the. It's a the. It's a the. It's a the. It's a the. It's a everyone counting. We're almost halfway to the move this movie taking place. Yeah, yeah. It did. There was a couple of things in the movie that referenced 2015. Oh yeah. 2015, the first permanent colony established on the moon. But my first note says a little behind on that. We were supposed to send Buck Rogers in this base in 1984 and we're way behind on that. Yeah, we'll get there. We'll the first the first the first the first the first. We'll the first. We'll th. We'll th. We'll th. We'll th. We'll th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.................................................................... th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the th. way behind on that. So yeah, we'll get there Poor back. But this is from Paul Anderson who's the same guy who made
Starting point is 00:02:27 mortal combat movies. Love the mortal combat. Resident Evil? Yes, there was a evil movies an alien versus predator. Oh AVP yes I think there was a lot of the set from Event Horizon was reused. Oh I'm sure. I wouldn't know I've never seen a alien versus predator so I was researching this and the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one one the one the one the one the one the one the one one one the one one one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one th. I was I was I was I was I was I was I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was a. I was. I was a. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. So I was researching this and the one thing was interesting was the totally unrelated movie Titanic like screwed up the production of this movie because they were like they wanted to have something in the summer like a summer blockbuster so they told him like you have to get this done right away it has to be done we're putting out Titanic in September so we had like six weeks working around the clock to like get th.. th. th. th. the the the the th. the the the the th. the th. the th. the th. th. the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I thi. thi. I th. I to to to to to to th. I th. I tha. I tha. I I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I.... I. I.. I. I. I.. I. I. I.. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And, t. And, t. And, t. And, t. And, t. And, t. And, t. And, tote. And, tote. And, tote. And, tote. And, tote. And, tote. And, tote. And, tote. working around the clock to like get this movie done and then when they showed it he showed it to the execs exact that's that's movie talk am we using movie talk yes you're doing
Starting point is 00:03:11 a good movie talk you got the good like go got that here what we say in the industry and you sound like a millennial oh yeah the shortening oh yeah by the way Dave 17. He's a Willow. He's a Willium. Oh. From the Willelium. Will Smith's really? What? Oh my God, I don't even know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:03:34 That Willem, Smith had no one called Willenium? I didn't even know that. I'm so fucking behind. Wait. I don't know if there's a single from it. I don't remember that being a big jam from it. That dumb song Miami I thought that was not dumb and that was definitely a big Willie style. Yeah Anyway, men and black too Here they come again But sorry he showed us to the exact. Oh, yeah, and so he showed it to these and apparently like people fainted from the gore and it was like over two hours long so they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're sorry. they're sorry. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they're to they're to to to th to th th th th th th th tho thou took took took to th th th th thou th th th th th th th th thou th th th th th th to to these. And apparently people fainted from the gore, and it was like over two hours long.
Starting point is 00:04:05 So they were immediately, like, you've got to cut all of this out. God, I want to see that cut now. Okay, so the paint, apparently he went back and was like him and the woman who played Stark. Yeah. Like, we're involved in like this heavy editing. Joe Lee Richardson. Ah, that's it. Involving like trying to get this done so that it could get done in time. But the footage they cut, they just like threw away and ended up in a Transylvanian salt mine and what like discovered like a couple years later. But it was like too damaged to like reuse so they couldn't actually like put it on
Starting point is 00:04:36 the DVD as like a special features because the only footage. was too damaged. Did they think it was a vampire movie? Yeah, where they salted and burned it, like supernatural. That's so weird. Winchester brothers took the deleted feet. And I was like, who found it there? Who found it there? And how did it get there? Like, I assume you just throw it out? Yeah, like in Hollywood, yeah, wherever you would do this. That's so weird. They, did they shoot it in the, they. they. they. they. they. they, their, their, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just. Yeah, just. Yeah, just. Yeah, just. Yeah, just. Yeah, just, just, just. Yeah, just. Yeah, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, where, where, where, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the.? Was it one of those movies? No. It's not outside at all. Yeah, but a lot, there's like a lot of stuff shot in Prague and warehouses and stuff. Really? It's cheap to do over there. It actually would make a lot more sense because why would you transport something you're throwing out to a Transylvanian cell mine? Maybe it was the plane that dropped Frankenstein off and Monster Squad picked the film back up and took it over to Transylvania. That does make sense.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Oh, thanks. Yeah, well, maybe something makes sense. And I got this information from Wikipedia and the internet so it could be totally made up. In fact, it's probably made up. And this is the same director of Magnolia? Yes. That's Paul Thomas Anderson. Oh. I'm always confused by Paul W.S. Anderson and Paul Thomas Anderson. One of them should have had to change the name. Come on, Thomas Anderson. You could have done this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:53 So 50 years in the future, I guess. Well, it starts two years in the past with the Moon Colony. Right. And then from there, everything explodes. You want to tell us about this plot? Because like, I gotta be honest with you. I watched it. I'd seen it before, obviously, because I hate it. I watched it, but I was like... You were hate watching it.
Starting point is 00:06:12 I was hate watching it. The highest level, high summary is, it's a, it's a hellraiser in space. Yeah. Stupidly spiky stuff. Why do the doors have teeth on them? There's no reason they would. And they're like the opening iris thing, so like they're moving a lot and you've got to walk through them. Yeah. It made sense. Or dive through them? Yes. So the guy from Jurassic Park in the gyrasks. So I mean, uh, the dynasurs are here. So I mean, like what, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. notes. My notes it's just Jurassic Park. I say the dinosaurs are here so I mean like what like who else? Wow. What do you care about Sam Neal from that's not Jurassic Park? He's in a lot. I said what he's in the Mount of Madness the John Carpenter movie, which is terrible but I love it. Anyway go on Jurassic Park. So a thrass. the. the. the. it's the event horizon it's a ship so it goes off into space it looks like a
Starting point is 00:07:09 giant space stick with wings. Yep. The docking sequence later on is just straight space fucking. Giger is masturbating in his grave. So the rent horizon goes off in the space. Something bad happens I guess they lose contact with it. It disappears without a trace, I think. Yes. So they have the Lewis and Clark, clever name. It's 2047.
Starting point is 00:07:32 We're still like Lewis and Clark is the best we've got? I don't know. We're still using CDRs to keep our information on. It's true. It seems seems the th th th th th thing thing th shavings, it's ss, it's ss, it's ss, it's ss, it's sa, th. It seems seems sa, thiii. It's sa, th. It's thi. It's thi. thi. the, thi. thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, th. th. th. they have th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's th. It's th. It's thi. It's thi. the. the. the. the. the. the. they they the. they they they have they have they have they never came up with anything better including the now. So whatever. It seems like space with is the worst place to be doing like having like straight razors. Like having like straight razors, like having like straight razors. Yeah, I don't know. Gravity doesn't work or an epilie. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know whatever you need. If the 1997 CGI is to be believed objects are floating all over the place in this, so I just don't see your right, a straight razor is just completely impractical. I can't wait to get to talking about the objects floating, but let's move on. Oh yeah, we're still on the summary. The Lewis and Clark with a crew. the crew. the crew. the crew. the crew. th. the crew. th. th. th. th. th. their. th. th. th. their, th. th. th. th. th. their, th. their, th. their, their, th. th. their, th. th. the, th. Object, th. Object, th. Objects, th. Objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, objects, we're, the objects, we're, we're, the objects, the objects, the object, the object, th. We, th. We, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. Objects, the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the th. the the objects, objects, objectsic Park, they go out looking for the event
Starting point is 00:08:25 horizon. Yeah, they've gotten a signal that the event horizon is back. That's it. That's it. That was seven years being MIA.I. And they don't bother explaining to the crew of the Lewis and Clark. What's going on? Basically nothing.
Starting point is 00:08:36 They haven't even introduced their, theyme. I think I know why they did that but we can get back to it. Okay, because it seemed a little odd that you would, I mean I guess there's a whole need-to-know thing of the military, but it still seemed like there should be some information like who this guy is. The reason I think... He just wakes up there. It's like they had met him before. their signal. Because it's pretty much the exact same scene, except there's no Yaffet Cotto and Harridine Stanton talking about shares. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:09 This is, and that was like the first of a million. Oh, Francis, it literally, yeah. I mean, I want to, I hope this, I like to believe this movie. I like to believe this movies. thr. the movie. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. to be. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thoooooooooooooooooooo.. And her.. And the the the the the the toda.. toooooooo. And to'm just operating them down. It has a great actor in it. Yeah. You're talking about Larry? Mary Fishburn? Jury Richardson's pretty good, I thought. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:30 I don't give her much to work with. But I actually like Sam Neal, but he choose all the scenery all the time. Sam Neal, oh my god. movie on your shoulders and you are going. But he also clearly does not give a fuck because his expression does not change. He's just like I'm a hard ass and that's all I am doing. Even when he's like doing the emotional scenes about his friend from NOM or whatever. Which is what Rob told me that guy was and I like was only half paying attention and I was like oh okay and then I was like like, that tha space nom. So they get to the the they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. tho. tho. tho. thi. thi. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I's just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just like, thi. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's like. th. I's like. th. th. th. th. I'm just just just just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just like, th. I'm just just like, th the event horizon. They get woke up. They arrive, they start investigating, it turns out everyone is dead on the event horizon. They're piecing together the mystery. Corpsicle. Corpcial. Yes. At one point
Starting point is 00:10:17 to Jurassic Park is back in the the Lewis and Clark and he can see everything that's going on. They've got video cameras and they're talking back to him and he goes do you see any crew what do you think that they're seeing that he's like you're seeing and hearing literally everything that's going on what do you think they're keeping from you they're exploring at that the point the the the the over horizon and then it just kind of just kind of just kind just kind just kind just kind just kind just kind just kind just kind just kind just kind just kind the the the the the th just kind of just kind of just kind of just kind of just kind of just kind of just kind of just kind of just kind of the the the the the the the the the th the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the mention that Sam Neal's wife is dead at this point and he keeps having like dreams about her. Yeah. I hope that, I had hoped that was his wife or else he was like a crazy psychopath of
Starting point is 00:10:52 the photos of her all over the place. There was like a thousand photos of this person. That's super fucked up. I don't have that, everyone has a dumb accent in this movie. I know some of them are real. I think some of them are not, but I just was not into it. It's true. So the first thing that sets me off in this movie is when we see the event horizon, it's
Starting point is 00:11:17 parked right next to Neptune. And I think Neptune looks awesome as far as the CTI is going in this movie. A little little little little little little little little little little little thu, a little thu thu thu thu thu. A little thi thi. A little thi. A little thi. A little thi. A little thi. A little thi. A lot thi. A lot thi. A lot thi, a thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thu, I thu, I thu. I's thu. I's thu. I's, I's thu. I's, I's thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I'm thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. as far as the CTI is going in this movie. A little Star Trekie, but alright. A little Star Trekie, but a lot of stuff is a little star tricky in this. But they got it. Like it looked cool. And then you hear the thunder and then you hear the thunder and then you don't hear things in space. You don't hear anything in space. movie. No one can hear you thunder. Yeah. That's the first thing would set you off.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Yeah, because it's just like come come on Paul Thomas Anderson, Wes Anderson. W.S. Anderson. Whoever you are. Sam Neal is also like a 1920s buff in this movie where he's sort of like pulling his shorts up real high and sticking his chest out like. But sucking at his gut at the same time. Just like, I am punching a base of meat. Like, it's exactly what Sam kneeling anything though. He was getting ready for his piggy blinders. Yeah. Oh yeah, he wasn't peeky blinders.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Yeah. Yeah. Still Jurassic part. Let's just get into tearing this thing apart. So we show up on the event horizon and the crew's walking in and everything's floating in the event horizon as you would with no gravity. Why is everything CG? I don't know. It's everyday objects that easily could have just been hung from wires. Yeah. Like water bottle, plastic water bottles, which we're still using in 2047. Dave and I were talking about like in Poltergey's
Starting point is 00:12:40 there's that scene where everything in the room is spinning and like they did it in 1984 or whatever and it looked great it was fine I believe that that the Hulk was riding a horse and waving at me like they could have done whatever. I think they were just like look we can do with computers like look look and the oh in the title sequences is fucking but it's just like the purple vortex. It would like the really bad credit. It reminded me of the opening to 13 ghosts. Although that has more graphics, but it's just happening, like, bomb, bomb, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, like music, and you're like, am I excited about something?
Starting point is 00:13:20 I have another 13 ghost reference later, too, so. This movie feels very of that time. 13 ghost, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the opening, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the opening, th, th, th, th, th, th, th.. 13, tho, tho, tho, the, the, the, tho, the, the, the, tho, thooo, the, the, the, the, so. This movie feels very of that time. Like 13 ghost, what's the, the haunting? Yeah. It's that late 90s. Yeah, ghost ship. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:35 But yeah, why would it? The C. It's like, the C.G.I. I mean, I took the movie in the time I mean I guess was it cool I don't remember this movie in theater and I don't remember it being awful I was like oh that's floating stuff cool all right well maybe had the advantage of you seeing it in like theater with film yeah we're now we're watching it like higher deaf and a lot of high-deaf TVs are unforgiving like I remember watching a Lord of the Rings the fellowship of the ring and a high-defee and it just just the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their thereaugh is is is is is is is is is is is. their their their their thea.a.a.a.a.a.a.a. their their their their their their their their the someone had like drawn the castles on it and stuff like it looked. But in the theater it looked. Yeah, it looked amazing.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah. Oh, I did have one more other comment. Oh, and then you're done? Yeah, that's it. Yeah, I don't believe. We'll see you later, I guess. It's not a dignified captain's chair. You wrote a treat. He's so cramped. Like it's not a dignified captain's chair.
Starting point is 00:14:26 It's like it moves way too slow. Like everyone else is perfectly mobile moving around getting shit done. He's just like still turning and still cramped over and barking. Like swinging at the same time. Yeah, it's still sturdy and he's still screaming. And it's dumb. It's dumb. Du, just get out of the chair. Also dumb, those two white guys I thought were the same guy but they were two of
Starting point is 00:14:50 them. Oh, DJ and Smith. They're the same person. They look exactly the same to me. Yes, and they're both British. And the other one isn't or something is what I was supposed to take away from it? I don't know. What I love the th th th th th th th th th th th th th is is is is is is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is thus thus thus thus thus. th. thus. thus. th. to thu thus. thi. tho tho tho thu. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the to to to theeeeeeeeeeeeeee. the theeee. thee. the. the. the. the. the. What I love is the tough guy, Smitty. Of course, why wouldn't his tough guy name me Smitty? He is the son of a doctor from Dr. Who? Oh. He's the son of a doctor. He's one of the early doctors. He also inexplicably knows Latin. His character. Oh, oh, yeah. So that's the other one. DJ knows. Oh, fucking Christ. Because I have the note that says, sure, tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tough tou tou tou tou tou tou tou tou-tou-tou-the-s the-s. the-s. thea-a. thea-s. the's the the the's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tod. toda. today. today. today. tou-s. tou-s. tou-s. tough tough tough tough tou-s. tough tou-s. today. today. today. t other one. DJ knows that. Oh, fucking Christ, because I have the note that says, sure, tough guy knows Latin, but it wasn't. It was the other guy. Also, he was able to piece Latin out of basically a Mirzbo set. Like, there are no number of filters
Starting point is 00:15:33 that's gonna make, you like,. When we see the video for the first time, when I saw that in the theater, I was like, wow, that's the best thing I've ever seen. And now watching, I'm like, that's the dukies thing I've ever seen. When we see it for the first time, it just looks like someone took a smudge to it in Photoshop. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the th. th. that's that's that's, that's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the.e. the the the the the the. the the the the the the the the okay, so the plot of this movie is basically they try to Philadelphia experiment, the event horizon, right? Okay. Yeah, that's spot on. Thank you. That's the last, that nice thing I'm going to say.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Was that even nice? It was just factual. Yeah, you're just dropping true. their, go through it. Right. So it's faster than light. They have this very long conversation about something being faster than light travel. Where everyone just keeps yelling English please. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Right, we think, yeah. Well, then he uses the pornography to describe it. Oh, the paper porn that they're still having in 19, 47, yeah. What the fuck the fuck the fuck the fuck the fuck the fuck the fuck th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Exactly. Yeah. What the fuck? Also, that's gotta go make it on the trip back. Like, why would you be poking holes in this magazine? Like, it's there for a reason and you're not done with this mission. And it belongs to that other man. Yeah, not you. It was this bra and it wasn't that great of an explanation.
Starting point is 00:16:57 It still really didn't make sense. No. No. No. No. tha. tha. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to to be. th. th. to be. tho. to be. to be. to be. thoomk. to be. to be tho. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Yes, which I feel at that point if you're like that far in the... I mean now I think you could say it's a wormhole and If it's some yeah, someone is a space traveler, they probably know what that means We're definitely 50 years from now. Yeah, that's gonna be a common term that people will be able to crock. Yeah Yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever whatever whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whatever, whateverthe crew, we've got Captain Miller, which is Lawrence Fishburn. Sam Sam Neal is Dr. Weir. Jolie Richardson is Stark, the lieutenant. She's Sigourney Weaver, I would say. Yes. Jason Isaacs is DJ. He's the medical doctor. Okay. The sulky medical doctor. Also Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter movie. Oh no shit. I just watched the second one and I didn't notice that. I didn't recognize the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the sulky medical doctor. Also Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter movies. Oh no shit!
Starting point is 00:17:45 I just watched the second one and I didn't notice that. I didn't recognize it right away either. Because they'll love not having that long blonde wig. He didn't have the ridiculous accent. Yeah. Everybody has a fucking ridiculous accent in this movie. Smith is the Smyn't Perchwee. The tough one. Richard T. Jones, who I love is Cooper. He's my other favorite thing about this movie. He's a rescue technician, but he does not go on any of the rescues. I just want to point out.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Your Lord's Fishburn won't let him. Because literally your job title. Peters is Kathleen, and she's the mama bear. She's the other lady from alien. She's not soorn you're the one who has a son that's back on earth who has like, look like you're in a silent film disease. Like, his makeup is terrible, though. He's just a child. There's a need to look ill.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Evidently, that's one of the things that was cut, was further explanations about some of these people, like, oh, they're past lives. So things like, thin. . So things like that made sense because it's just a suggestion that something bad happened to her son but without any further explanations, it's like, oh I'm sorry about his legs, but like, but that's not real. That was like a thing, the ship was like, ah, look at it. But it was obviously evoking some sort of memory for it. Yeah. But yeah, when, uh, when the NAM friend shows up, I mean, you're like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's, that's, th. th. th. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm sorry, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I I, I I I I I I I I I I, I I I, I I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, th. th. th. th. th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi. I'm sorry, I'm sorry this I don't know anything about you I don't know anything about your past it's just okay also who
Starting point is 00:19:05 are you here to see yeah like it kind you kind of put it together he's there for Morpheus but it's just because he's in that room which is also another thing it's at no point do they adopt the buddy system everyone everyone's split like like the alien to you guys to they and they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they they they they're they're they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they they they're they they they wants to hang out with Herodine Stanton. That's true. But there's a lot of convenient like, oh, you're by yourself because everyone's by themselves. I'm going to present your horror to you now. Yeah. Rounding out the crew is Ensign Justin. Like really one more pass couldn't give him a last name. Yeah. I was like. I the the the the the the the the the the their. tha. tha. thuu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. tho. tho. tho. thus. thus. tho. th. tho. tho. tho. th. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. t. t. t. I. I. t. I. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. that guy, I know that guy, and then I was like, oh, he's one of
Starting point is 00:19:45 the hip-hop dancers from one of my favorite movies. And see no man. He also has a very unfortunate last name. His name is Jack Noseworthy. Oh, that's hard. That's hard. That's baby bear? Yeah, basically with the red shirt. So Justin is the first one on to the ship. He goes further than everyone else.
Starting point is 00:20:07 And he goes back to the nightmare drive. Is this when he goes through the Noah's Ark thing where the wall, where there's a bridge and the walls are spinning? Yes. Okay. Noah's Ark, of course, being a cannywood reference and not the only note that I have that's underlined with three exclamation points, it's Noah's Ark. I think you and I have literally the same notes because the next one note I have after that just says, no buddy system. What are they doing? Okay, whatever.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Okay. So when he goes back, so the, the engine room of this ship, the engine room of the ship is giant metal basketball inside of three hoops, or maybe a giant metal golf ball would be a, like Epcot Center, inside of three like spinning hoops that have light bulbs in them for some reason. Well, they gotta light up. That's in a room full of pokey sticks coming out of the walls, right? The core. Yeah, and to get to it, you have to go through the Noah's Ark Spinny Room that's made of razor blades. Yes. And there's also a floor of water? Yeah. Oh yeah, water floor. Keep it cool, I guess. Why? But, okay, if you have a spinny room
Starting point is 00:21:15 through it full of razor blades and you're doing a horror movie? How come nobody nobody dies in that room? No. No. Nothings. Well, thiiiiiii. Well, no, thi. Well, no, thi. Well, thi. No, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. they. they. they.'m like, they're going to get impaled, they're going right on one of those spikes. This is like check off spikes. Like you have set this up for an impaling and they land in the water. I think it was actually, not the doctor. Oh no, it was Peters, it was Mama Bear. She just dropped from the video that we were referred to earlier to to to to to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, and, and, and, the, and, and, and, and, they..... And, they. And from the ceiling. We should mention that the video that we were referred to earlier is only footage from the crew of the event horizon that they have.
Starting point is 00:21:49 It's on it, yeah. So when they clean it up, you can see that it's the event horizon and they're talking about how they're going to initiate the drive and they're going to, you know, and the doctor, or the captain says something in Latin. Yeah. He like says it in Latin and then translates it in English, so you know that he's being totan. Great guy. And the thing that the doc translated earlier was he heard liberate may.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Yeah, which is save me, I guess, roughly translated in Latin. Right, because you would later realize. Liberate Tutumet. I mean he got the fact that he got that much out of that audio signal. Sounded like nothing. Yeah that's still pretty impressive. Which is save yourself from hell. But if you're giving... What the fuck though? Like, what? Somebody wrote that and was like, oh, that's good that's gonna get up. Like it's so silly. When it's also like if you're gonna give someone a warning, why would you choose a dead language that not that many people speak?
Starting point is 00:22:49 Like, something a little more common. Like, I'm not saying it has to be English, per se, but like, something that, like, more than maybe 10 people, the to'nake. big resurgence in 247. It's just presented so dramatically and I disagree. You know what I mean? I have the note the gravity drive is so dumb cool. I just, I don't know. That is the best way you could have put that. Thank you. I have the note the the gravity drive is so dumb cool. It's so like dummies are like oh yeah. That's powerful. Look at gravity oh yeah, that's powerful.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Look at gravity. That's just spiky and dope. Oh, also as we're walking back on the shaft of the ship, we've gone from the head back to the base of it. We're walking along the shaft and every five feet there are explosives, which I have the note, oh, Chekhoff's explosives. These will be that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's powerful, that's that's that's powerful, the they, that's powerful, they, they, that's powerful, they, that's powerful, they, that's powerful, that have the note, oh, checkoff's explosives. These will be coming back. And so you can detonate the thing a hundred times?
Starting point is 00:23:50 Like I don't understand why there's so many explosives. It seemed like one. Yeah. One would have been fine. Just a disengaged switch. Yeah. Speaking of switches, uh-oh. There's the, in the next scene where Mr. the the the the the the th, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, Mr, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the the the th, th, the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the the the theee. the the theeea, thea, thea, the thea, theeat, the thi. thi. thi, thi, th's the in the next scene where Mr. Justin's in the airlock, I don't know if it's next scene, but it's the next scene I have notes on.
Starting point is 00:24:10 He, or am I way off? Well, so Justin goes through the gravity drive, it turns into an oily pool and he sticks his finger in it. It's like it's like the mirror from Prince of Darkness and he goes through it. And then he gets spit back out because this is the one time that Cooper goes to rescue somebody. And so they get him into sick bay and then he leaves sick bay and goes to the airlock. And in between then was when Mama Bear sees her son with Magin's legs. Oh, and there's other people were outside for some reason as well. Because there's a, there was a the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their th. There was was was, th. There was a th. There was a th. There was a th. There was a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the one th. the one th. the one th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the one. the one. the one. the one. the one. the one. the one.. the one. the one. the one.. the one................................................................ his legs. Oh. And there's other people were outside for some reason as well. Or am I telling you to remember that?
Starting point is 00:24:47 There was an explosion when Justin went into the oily blackness that fucked up the Lewis and Clark and made it uninhabitable and they have to put aluminum foil on the outside of the ship to fix it. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, all I really wanted to say was that it seemed like the inner door and outer door buttons should have been further apart. I actually have, this is bad UX design. Why would you have them so close together?
Starting point is 00:25:11 Why would you? He like hovers over one, then he's like, poop, the other one. You can easily just hit the other one. Yeah, especially if you're wearing like space. Yeah, the same notes. So, but this is a great... Does your next note say, boy is this bad? Because mine does. I like this because it's super stupid. Because, so Justin gets kicked out in a space when the airlock opens, as you would. And, like, there's like a 20-minute scene of Lawrence Fishburn, like,
Starting point is 00:25:40 pushing him through space, real slow to go catch him. And, uh, Justin gets the the thust gets thust gets thusts thusts thusts thusts thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th self through space real slow to go catch him. And Justin gets shot out in the space and he's out there for like 10 seconds and it doesn't die. But like all of his veins get real poppy. And the good blood goes out in his eyes. But the blood is like floating in air all C. I love that. He's got his hands over his eyes and like slowmo blood is spilling out. It's great. dumb as hell. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The tent scene you referenced where Mama Bear, I'd right, yeah. Peters. Peters. She likes here's something scratching and like looks in it's there's sort of a backlit scratch. I kind of like that. It felt very Misha Barton in six cents. Yeah, for sure. Which is later I guess right. Yeah, it's after this. Yeah. But then there's nothing. It's the stupidest thing ever inside. It's her their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th................................................... th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. th. the. th. th. the. the. the. t. t. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. it was after this. Yeah. But then there's nothing, it's nothing. It's the stupidest thing ever inside. It's her son with his little maggot legs.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Why does he have maggot legs? Because he's ill. I think they're trying to suggest that this was maybe, because she was like, I made a lot of leaps. Like, I made a lot of lea'a'n't. Like, thir. the, she. the, the, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It, th. It, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, the, the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I. It's, I. It's, I. It's, I. It's, I. It's, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, something that's horrible, it's like a horrible memory, I kind of made a lot, like the jump, like she was trying to cure this disease and then couldn't, and this is why it's haunting her. There's a lot of these parts where you have to like figure out why it's a haunting. The kid's still alive though, he's like spending, she said he was going to spend Christmas with his dad and thinks. he's, and the the their their their their their their their their their th. th. th. So, and th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And thi, thi, thi, thi, and thi, and then, like, like, like, and thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, thi. And, thi. And, like, like, like, like, like when we see the video he's got like huge dark circles under his eyes and like sick makeup yeah but like oh shit should this thing look sick yeah probably hold on the guy just like pumps his cigar into his palm gets a branch and does the kids make up so they've after the explosion on the Lewis and Clark they have 20 hours of air to get all the shit done they need to be done before their back in their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their thick makeup. thick makeup. It's make make make make make make make make make makes. It's make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make make. their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their thic thick. thick thick thick thick thick thick thick thick thick thick thick after the explosion on the Lewis and Clark, they have 20 hours of air to get all the shit done. They need to be done before they're back in their water baths and their ebbs and salt
Starting point is 00:27:31 baths that are going to keep them safe when the ion drive prashes them with 30 degrees, 30 Gs of force when they shoot back. I don't know what's happening. That sounded really convincing. I was buying it. It's one of those things where they're like, just start saying science stuff, and the kids will go with you. That's this movie though, right? It's like basically a movie about obeying the laws of physics. Yeah. It was a little undermined by like the cardboard tubes they were using for like the car,
Starting point is 00:27:55 like the're kind of flopping too bad. Well the fact that you told us that they had to do all this in six weeks, I'm like being a lot more forgiving of all the flubs now. Yeah. I mean, character development, schmericter development, let's go. Well, we have no idea why. So thiii. thii. just a hot-headed little man is going after Sam Neal because Sam Neal is just a fucking asshole and uh... He's so smug.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Oh, he's terrible. I mean, he did threaten a kid with a raptor claw basically at the beginning of Jurassic Park. Oh, yeah, the kid from, uh, Nightmare telm Street by. Yeah, sorry, thanks, a threat. Yeah, the. It was with disembowelment too. Like it was a pretty severe threat. Your guts falling out. Yeah. So Sam Niel's actually never acting.
Starting point is 00:28:48 He's just always... That should have been his like, his, like, going back and like the torture of the thing that haunt him is being addicted to that kid. Or being in the omen, like three or whatever it was in. What year was Jurassic Park? It was like 90... 96? Better, it's so much better than this. The CGI is a phenomenal one. I wish I'd watch Jurassic Park instead. I might later. So Smitty and Sam Neal are going at it and DJ, not Tanner, but the doctor, who names her Dr. D.J. grabs Smitty and is holding a scalpel to his throat and just like, mmmmm-num-mrmrm. like murmuring at him and I'm like, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:29:32 Yeah. Is this something that was said to previously that this man is a sociopath? Like, I don't know. The ship's just getting to him. Okay, so the ship is alive, we're told. Yes. Which by the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th is alive we're told. Yes. Which by the way that conclusion that she came to massive leap like like how did like where did you like even knowing that sitting there watching that I was still taken aback by her going and explaining this like you do not you do not have the evidence the facts nothing leads to this and you're right like you nailed it. And Lauren Lawrence Fishburn is like, do you tell me something, tell me anything, like she's actually telling you the plot of the movie.
Starting point is 00:30:09 She's explaining it. I love that he's like, that's ridiculous. And then like five minutes later, it's like, this ship. This movie, feel like was trying to be like, what if the shining was a spaceship? Oh, what if every horror movie? I guess so, yeah. I mean, they actually do have the big pool, like the waterfall of the water, yeah, there's a waterfall. Fuck you. I have the note, fuck this ship. I also have that note.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Great. Did anybody else write down? This place is a tomb. Lawrence Fishburn says. I also have that notice of shit. I also have that notice, great. Did anybody else write down? This place is a tomb. Yeah, of course. Yeah. I'm glad. Do you mention that Cooper is the comic relief? Of course he is the black man.
Starting point is 00:30:56 He's also the like, he's trying their Ebsen baths. Yeah. And do you want something hot and black in you? That's pretty funny. I laugh. But, well, no, I don't want that. And he's like, well, do you want some coffee then? Like, boom, there you go. He is straight up raw digger from 13 ghosts. He's just like saying, sa, oh, you know, I don't know what he's saying. Actually, I think it ends with Here I Come, motherfuckers. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:25 He's brought Diga. I will reveal this. I was 100% sure, I told you guys earlier, that I thought that he said, it's gotta be the black man at some point in this movie when he gets shot into space. And he doesn't, but he doesn't, but kind, but kind, but kind, but kind, but kind, but tho, but tho, but th. th. thin, but th. thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thi, th. thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. I was a thoooooooooooooooooooo. constituent lines together and it made that line up. Like, they also keep calling a Mr. Cooper and I was like working so hard to find a hanging with Mr. Cooper joke just straining for it and I couldn't come up with anything. You didn't even go with the floating with Mr. Cooper when he was stuck out in space. That's low hanging for everyone. The next notes I have I have say, but why and why and okay, so I so, so, so, so, so, so, so, to to to to to to the th. the th. th. th. th. the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I to to to to th. I to to the the to the th. I don't know what that was about. Literally could have been written in any point during this film. I think I think our notes are
Starting point is 00:32:10 somewhat chronologically aligned. Sure. My I've the note the evil is starting to feel a bit random. Yeah. Like it just seems like it's coming out of nowhere like it's going nowhere. It's going nowhere. Like it like it all of the sort of tension of the earlier sort of reveals is it felt like it was like like like like like it was like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like. the to. I. all of the sort of tension of the earlier sort of reveals is it felt like it was slipping away at this point like I'm like I'm I didn't really care at the beginning and now I really don't care right and Mr. Justin has said something about like if you've seen what I've seen in the darkness is coming for you the dark you're just like oh I don't give a shit yeah we should say that a leap you have to make is that Sam Neal and the ship have a symbiotic relationship.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Oh. And yeah, I guess so. So there's this, so this is like the scene when Tom Scarrett is going through like the tunnels on an alien when he's being, he's chasing down the alien. Except, uh, this tunnel that Sam Neal goes into is just filled with computer motherboards? Yeah, that's where they are. Light them up boards. Dave, you work in computers. Dave, tell us how computers work.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I can only talk about computers now. Yeah. In 40 years, they obviously can't. In 40 years, you can stand on motherboards. Yes. Interesting. You're not even thooe the too th th th th th th the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the theateateateateateateateateateateat. the. the. theatea thea thea the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. that's that's that's thea. that that's thea. thea. thea. thea. to solder the fucking chips under the port and I was like, word, word, 2047? You don't have those little like quick release socket things anymore? Like, they definitely pulled a CDR out of a machine to get information. Oh, all 750 megabytes of fucking data they're gonna put on there.
Starting point is 00:33:39 And she's grabbing it and like she's got the gloves on and I'm like, you're just scratching it. You're not going to be able to read that. You're not going to be able to read that. I just wanted fucking thin Lizzie jail break to be written in marker on the CDR that be pulled out. Or like, she just like, like, just went down the hall. I was like, okay, I couldn't get the one. It just seems like they could have conceived of a flash drive before they existed. They have tablets. They do have shitty iPads. They have fucking tablets. And I was like, oh, they got that. You can leap to tablets but you still want to full. They're like, how would we move data? CDRs. That's never going away. Never going away. I've never going to the ne. I recently watched. I they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they've they've they've they've they've they've they've they've they've they've they've they've that was extremely funny. I know you were talking about Narnia for a second. Minardia Port.
Starting point is 00:34:30 I recently watched Narnia Report. Why are you sitting with Bill Ray Cyrus? Minority report. I'm sorry, I can't let it go. Go on. It drove me nuts because they have these computers that you can reach into and move stuff around, and it's really cool. And they need to move information from to to to to to to to their to their to their to their their to their to their their to to their their to their to their to their to to to to to to their n narniardnia to their narnar narnia narnia to to to to to their narnity their narnity their narnia narnia their n narnar. Min n narnar. Min their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the drove me nuts because they have these computers that you can reach into and move stuff around and it's really cool. And then they need to move information from one computer to another and they get like
Starting point is 00:34:49 a little drive and walk over and plug it into the other computer. I'm like, one? Just grab it from that computer. the future minority report. Also, I don't know why Billy Ray Cyrus the only southern person I could think of. You know what though, if you would have gone any deeper, we might not be able to follow you, so keep it right up there. Didn't they find more video though where the guy's holding his eyeballs?
Starting point is 00:35:20 Is that where we are yet? So, yes, so when they cleaned up the gerbiled video from earlier, those are gerbiled up, and we see that it's people doing hellish things to each other. And I remember when I saw in the theater was like real quick and you couldn't pause to look at what they were actually doing, but then later when I saw it on video, I paused the whole thing to watch what they were actually actually and it's fucking ridiculous there's one person that's sticking his arm down another person's throat just like to make them bark I guess so there's two people that are humping that's the that's the terrible thing you do to someone well that I thought there are people humping and then like one of them has like a blade and is like cutting someone the their someone someone someone someone someone someone someone someone someone someone someone someone someone someone oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh. the. the. the. the. the. the. they's. they's. they's. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're like. they're like. they're like. there's like, it's like, it's like sex violence going on, like so they're humping, but also mutilate it, yeah. Fine. Somebody's pulling out their
Starting point is 00:36:07 intestines. The one guy is just holding his eyes in his hands, which is literally the only cool thing about it. Yeah, he has his eyes in his hands and says liberate to tou me. Which is fun to say, by the clean-up, that's the video that they see that freaks everybody the fuck out. And then Sam Neal pulls his own eyes out. Yeah, he makes a heel turn and like... Well, he keeps seeing his dead naked wife and resting his head on her boobies. Right. Like, 20 times. I was trying to figure out if he was like, just loved the ship as a replacement for his wife.
Starting point is 00:36:45 But I don't know, okay. Then I guess it makes sense that he had a symbiotic relationship with it, but it wasn't just a love he had for the ship. It could have been made more clear if there was some like if he was tied to the ship in some sort of way, but he's just like walking around, I thi..... the the. th. the the. th. I think. I think. I think. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess. I guess, I guess, I guess, I guess, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. thinks. thinks. thinks. thinks. thinks. I thinks. I thinks. I th. I th. th. th. I think you're right, there is a symbiotic relationship, but there's something visual to suggest that. There's the briefest mention that when his wife killed, in a flashback he sees his wife killing himself and he goes, oh God, not again. And she killed herself because he wasn't there and you're supposed to leap to, he was working on the ship. Yeah. I think. That's the they wrote this, they were like, let's ever kill herself because he's not there. I don't know, that seems.
Starting point is 00:37:25 But based on like what I've read, though, that's the type of things that they decided to cut. Yeah. Like explaining these hauntings and explaining these sort of things like why that's, you know, why he's haunted in that particular waykers immediately after his descent is just so quick it's really quick and and also his wife doesn't have any eyes she keeps open her eyes to CGI pits in her eyes yeah which he will have later why doesn't start go mad there's almost she has almost no effect from the ship she's just perfectly sane and yet she's the one who figures it out
Starting point is 00:38:01 how can that be how can that be I How can that be? I don't know. It doesn't need to drive Cooper mad either. He's just mildly agitated by the whole thing. And there's other two that got away. True. Well, and, and, uh, oh, baby bear. Yeah, baby bear. Oh, right. He's still suspended in the, he's probably not around. He's not long for this world. Because Smith got blown up when, after the doctor makes his heel turn, he blows up
Starting point is 00:38:28 the Lewis and Clark. Oh, right. They realized one of the explosives is gone. Yeah. And instead of getting off the ship, Smith decides he's going to look for it, but like, what the fuck were you going to do if you found it? You know what I mean? Yeah, you just hang his head and explodes. Like a wily coyote sort of responds. I just can't. I just can't.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Oh Smith. After that, I haven't noticed. Why are there still 20 minutes left? This is not a long movie. It took forever. So can we talk about we're killing DJ? Which, who's the doctor? Dr. the DJ doctor. You couldn't rent him for your weddings.
Starting point is 00:39:09 He so Miller kept a Miller Lawrence Fishburn calls DJ and he's like hey man Weirs made a heel turn you got to fucking kill him if you see him he just blew up the ship and killed everybody and the doctor's like I fucking today, and the doctor's like I fucking. He's like, I fucking. He's just the throw. He's just the the the the the th th. th. th. th. th. th th. th. th. th th. th. th. the th. th. the th. the the he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he the the the he he he he the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He's just the thru te te te te te te the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the picks up a bone saw, turns around and he just gets his throat, or no he gets thrown. Yeah. We were just standing there without any eyes and he throws him across the room like 12 times and then completely eviscerates him, hangs him from the ceiling and he says he's the skin all drawn up and like again like real Clive Barker because he's got like hooks in his back that are hanging from the ceiling and he says Jesus wept and... Yeah. He didn't... Come to a daddy? How many episodes can I make that work in, do you think? I don't know, but I love that that's your takeaway from him. Come to daddy?
Starting point is 00:39:55 That's so stupid. That in the dude, the dude always fucked with jeans on. I don't know that. Oh right, you had all those pictures where he's fucking with jeans on. What the fuck? I get some of a Jim Robinson on the line so we can tell how bad Hell Razor is. Oh my god. So we're coming to the end here. We're wrapping her up. No we're not. There's 20 minutes left.
Starting point is 00:40:18 I do really love the set piece of the doctor hanging with his intestines on the table below him and like there's that huge reveal and it's really cool looking and then the rest of the movie goes on we keep seeing firewalker yeah yeah which isn't a good fire walk you know that I think a fire walk makes everything better it doesn't make this better because it's CGI fire no one's really on fire you're not into it. I'm bombed. I want real flaming people. Yeah so like so like. It's th. It's th. It's th. So, it's th. So, it's th. So, it's th. So, so, it's th. So, th. So, th. So, th. So, th. So, th. So, th. I'm bummed. I want real flaming people. Yeah, so like, so Miller's story is that he left this guy basically to die because he was on fire and there's something you could do. So he has to like save Stark. He has to like, it's like, see?
Starting point is 00:40:57 It's like, see? It's a redemption art. The arc happens like, whoop, like up, down, like there's no, it's just, I... What's annoying, he could have literally saved himself and Stark, but he sacrifices himself for no fucking reason. Oh, yeah, I guess you're right. He could have exploded that ship at any point along the long shaft of our dick ship. Yeah. But he had to go into the balls to blow it up for some reason. Like, if you would the closest one, it would have fucked up that entire thing.
Starting point is 00:41:27 I do love there's also smelling salts in the future when he has to wake up Stark and he's got smelling salts and I was like, we're nothing? Not even one of those, like, pshed like fans, like the fucking Star Trek thing. Yeah, we're like a little try corner. Yeah. We're just, I could, yeah, we've, we've th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the th. the th. the the th. the the the the they. they. they, they, they, they, they, they. their, their, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, they. they. they. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. the the the the the th. the the th. the the th. the they. the th. th. t. tall. tall. tall. today. tha. tha. th. th. th. th. th. thing. Yeah, we're like a little try-corner. Yeah, we've just given up on technology in the future. We're gonna we're gonna get space travel and that's fucking it. That's as far as we know. You can only go so far. I wish they were like writing with graphite pencils and just been like, well this is what we have. If it ain't broke. Like an abacus. Like an abacus. It's like a theybicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicicic. It's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It's like basically a fire knives and maggots as hell. Yeah yeah and barbed wire. And barbed lots of barbed wire. I actually thought that scene was like oh there's some good stuff in there but it's like 10 seconds
Starting point is 00:42:18 long like they did they set up so much stuff that like obviously they put a lot of work into like making that as an effect, it's over like that. I'm like you could have of all the things in this movie you could have lingered on that could have been one of I mean obviously I guess that was one thing he was told to like remove it maybe that that transvanian footage includes a lot more of that stuff but it seemed like a lot of people are fainting the to to to to to to to to be special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special special effects to just, you know, basically just pass over it with the camera. Yeah, like you said that it was because a lot of people are fainting from the gore that was... Evidently, yeah, or what is it? They cut all of it. There's almost nothing. Right. Other than DJ. Yeah. And one of the gory things is like, inside the pods in the event horizon, there's like blood and stuff spatter and they like, they....... they. they. they. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thee. th. the. the. th. the. the. th. literally just looks like a pizza throwing context. Like, it just, none of it looks, I don't know, it just doesn't make any sense, doesn't look, ah, fuck off.
Starting point is 00:43:08 God bless Sam Neal, because I know that it must have taken him a long time to get all of this makeup on when he's got the cut up makeup. And he still has eyes. again. He rips his eyes out just so he could have the one line where he says we won't need eyes or we're going. And that's supposed... Where we're going, we need eyes. Yeah. That's supposed to be the line that you're like, what? I just thought about back to the future. Why would you not? Why would you not? Why would you not? Why? What is that the line? Where we're going to say it? Where we're going, go, go, go, go, we, we're going, we're going, we, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, we're going, the, we're going, we're going, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going, we're going, we, we, we're going, we, we're going. We, we're going, we're going, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going. We, we're going. We, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. th. th. th. th. th. tho. th. We're going, th. We guys both got the note. It's going to be weird if we try to do it together. I'm not going to do it at the same time. I'm not going to say, John. No one's going to tell you.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Is it in the first back to the future? Yeah, thrown. tho' thin. Shit, you guys have a fucking weird standoff over there. I will not say it. No, no, you say, you say it. You were the best. I'm over it. I'm over it.
Starting point is 00:44:12 So, are we figuring out right now that back to the future? to the future and Hellra. Whoa. I wasn't, but now I am, and I will not be able to not think that. This movie also has, there's a theory on the internet that I think is of interest to you, that this is a Warhammer 40K prequel. Oh. Oh. Oh. This is what I was told to tell you about to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to told told to to to told to to told told to told to to to told told told told to to told told told to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. told to tell you about. Did Rob bring this up? Yeah, here's the note that Rob left me. Remind Dave that this movie's a Warhammer 40K prequel. The Warp, Chaos, Chaos.
Starting point is 00:44:49 I guess he even says Chaos, Chaos, Chaos, Chaos, Chaos. I'm gonna have a little bit of trouble, like, Shoaharning, back to the future. Yeah. Razor and Warhammer 40K all into this movie, but I'm willing to make that leap. Yeah, I'm willing to make that leap, yeah. Let's do this. Everybody's leaping. Also funky shit by prodigy. So we end with Coop and Stark have like shot away in the escape pod with the fucked
Starting point is 00:45:19 up mangled body of Mr. Justin. And it's funny every time they say it. It's funny every time you say it. And they get found by the same people who find Sigourney Weaver in space for aliens. And they're like, they're like, oh God, she, and when they pull Stark out, she, like, they have these weird Darth Vader helmets on. And then the guy's like helmet comes off and he's Sam Neil. Was he? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah? the the the the the the the th. th. the th. th. th. the body. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. weird Darth Vader helmets on. Yeah. And then the guy's like, helmet comes off and he's Sam Neal. And was he?
Starting point is 00:45:47 Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I got that they were bad guys. I did not notice it was Sam Neal. But it turns out she's just having like a flashbacky dream sequence. Wait, really? I was saying maybe I turned off off off off off off off off off off off. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the th. th. th. th. the the they's, the they's, their. their. they's, their. they're, they're, they're, their. their. they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. they're. they're. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they're. they're. they they they because I heard funky shit by prodigy. But one thing I'd never realized before that a friend of the podcast Joseph pointed out to me, I was like, well they get away at the end, he's like do they? Do they?
Starting point is 00:46:12 Do they? Yeah. Yeah. Or they're definitely bad guys. . Yeah. Or, the ship is, we got a sedate, we got a sedator. They seemed like bad guys to me. Yeah. Or almost like the company in alien.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Yeah. Like that, that was the thing that evoked to me, but actually the idea of like the ship just sort of like claiming new victims is also like an appealing alternative explanation. Do we think they're bad guys because prodigue is playing? Could be. But why does the ship want victims? Yes. Be my victim. Was that from Hellraiser? No, that's from Candyman. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Candyman, Candyman. Oh, wait, no. Oh, she's right there. Now, Virginia Maduio, what would you do that? I wish Virginia Badwits and her outfit from a prophecy. She's wearing those like inappropriate gene shirts to teaching. Teaching children with Midriff showing? Oh God. Do we want to move on to the ratings phase where we don't need eyes? We don't need eyes to go to the
Starting point is 00:47:12 rating phase? I wish I didn't have eyes so I would never see this movie again. Kitty you want to go first? One. It's so bad. It's so bad. It's so bad. It's so not even funny bad or interesting bad. It's just fucking bad. It's boring. It's a slog. I hate it. I hate you. I'm sorry. That's fair.
Starting point is 00:47:34 I don't know. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. this movie is a one. You're a 10. Oh. Or you're a 10. Really? What was the first? We were gaming the other night.
Starting point is 00:47:45 He said, uh, we were doing initiative and Dave's like, I'm a 10. I was like, hell yeah, you are. Then did you kiss? God, we're too far away. I would have, but he won't let me. Dave. Yeah. Dave, can you rate. I'm seemingly like this movie. I cannot say that it's good, but it's all the stuff that I'm really into. I like, it's like...
Starting point is 00:48:05 Which is garbage and weird leaps of faith? Yes, yes, those are my things. Turn on's include. Not getting a lot of the right swipe. Is that right? I know I'm not going to up, I think. I'm between a six and a seven. yeah because I like I'm entertained I was like I hadn't seen it for a very long time and I was kind of like oh maybe this
Starting point is 00:48:31 is like it didn't age well it's very of an era yeah but it wasn't gross like the entire like all the way to the end and I don't know I there's also a weird thing too of like the unintentional laugh where like it's not so much like I'm like taking a piss on it th. th. the th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I'm like. I'm like. th. I'm like. I'm like. th. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like I'm like I'm like. I's. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. the. the the the the th. th. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. the. th. th. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm. I'm. the end and I don't know I there's also a weird thing too of like the unintentional laugh where like it's not so much like I'm like taking a piss on it yeah but it was a thing of like like everyone here's trying really hard they're up against an incredible number of odds not like the characters the the actors oh yeah sure and I'm sure and I'm likedust sure in a yeah I'm tugged movies so like I'm I don I don I don I don I don I don I don I don I don I don I I I don I I I don't I I I I I I I I don't I I I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't I I I I don't I I I I don't I I I I I I I don I I I don I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I the I the I the I th I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I don't know I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I th I th I, I've got to go with a six or seven. Okay, I like that. This is, that's mostly just to, to screw over Emily. You're messing up Emily's stats right now. I hope she just averages it to a six point five to stick it to you.
Starting point is 00:49:13 That's bad. I am going to give this movie a five, because I have seen it probably ten times, and I feel like I can't then I then I then I then I can't then I can't then I can't like I can't fake the funk It's so stupid fun It's so stupid and I also love this movie because this was the movie that I saw the trailer for 13th warrior before And I was like, oh, I'm gonna like that movie and it turns out I do love that Antonio Banderas is an Arab fighting with Vikings I think you're probably are you the only one in this room who's seen that movie? Have you seen? I th? I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. t. to. to. te. te. te. too. too. te. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. probably... Are you the only one in this room who's seen that movie? Have you seen 13? I have not seen that. Also, that is generous to give this movie credit for that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:51 I gotta give it something, man. It's a real shit show. I love Lord's Fishbird. I think he's phenomenal. I love that he's only 36 when he's doing this movie. God, that's all! And he was in Apocalypse Now. And the reason he's only 36, 20 years later is because he was fucking 16 years old when he was an Apocalypse Now.
Starting point is 00:50:10 No shit. It's insane when he was Larry Fishburn. He wasn't even Lawrence yet. But yeah, it's a vibe. You can do much worse than watching this movie. Can you? Yeah, go ship. I think I probably gave that a very low score as well. And this movie came at the same year as I know what you did last summer. Love that movie. I know. I know you do. So it's not just the era. It's J. Lo Hugh.
Starting point is 00:50:39 And now a message. Cryptogrium. Welcome to the Order of the Thinned Vale. Starting point is 00:52:46 Oh, thanks for having me on. Do you have anything you want to plug? You have a podcast. You should plug it. I do have a podcast. It's a cis X dumpster, S, Y, S, E, X, dumpster. I think it doesn't make any more sense when you spell it. Also, I will not spell dumpster for you, no. I think, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to to to to to to to to to, to to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, thu. It's me and a couple of friends of mine, Greg and Nick, basically just sit around and talk about the synthesizers.
Starting point is 00:53:12 That's really it. There's nothing more than that. I will say that I don't know shit about synthesizers, but I have listened to multiple episodes of this show and enjoyed it because it, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th, I, I, th and I, th and I thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, and I'll, and I th, and I th, th, and I, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, enjoyed it because it's just three people who know a fucked-on about a thing and are just having a conversation about. Cool. They're not like, let me explain to everybody what's going on right now. I'm just like I'm just going to talk about these mods on this thing and then the thing happened and I'm like yeah, yeah you guys are doing it, you're doing it. So it's really fun. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's a good, it's th, it's, it's, it's th, it's th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thee. thi. the. the. the. thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th note. You also have a record label. I do have two. Two. You want to plug those? Sure. The first is Thaco Records, THAC zero.
Starting point is 00:53:51 And Alan is wearing the shirt right now. He's pointing at it like you can all see it. You can't. Good radio. It's on Bandcamp or you can just buy shit directly from me. The same with UnAP North. Unmap North is the label that you put your stuff out on. It's Dave's specific and it's fucking fantastic stuff. I love the music that you make. Awesome, thank you.
Starting point is 00:54:10 I like Dave a lot, guys. He's a nine. Did I lose a point for bringing in event horizon? Yeah. Pretty much. I think you actually lost 10 and she got you back up to a nine. It's true. It's true. So what do we do next week? Sweak, sweet, sweet, sweet. Hey, EMTs. This is Alan jumping in here to let you know about a last-minute change from what we thought we were going to be
Starting point is 00:54:30 doing to what we are doing. We are going to be covering the movie Cabin in the Woods from 2012. So come back next week and hear us talk about that movie. All right, I'm back to the ending of the show. You can find us on the internet. We're on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. You can email us. If you've even checking the email? I've got a new phone and I haven't put it on there. We haven't been getting many emails. We have been getting a lot of Twitter and Instagram and stuff which is really nice. You people are moving away from email. It's in the past. Yeah, I think so, yeah. So it will be an event horizon. Sure.
Starting point is 00:55:10 2047, I'm going to download all my emails to a CD-ROMP. And you can leave us a review on iTunes, so we've gotten a couple reviews recently. Oh, we should. Dave. Thank you thanks again for doing this. Thanks, Dave. Thanks, for having me on, guys. And now we're all going to say goodbye. Thanks for listening to another episode of Wear Oph Ambulance. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Bye. Bye. I guess.
