Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Katie. Hey Alan. Welcome to another episode of WhereW Wolf Ambulance, where we are the hosts. Thank you and thank you for welcoming me and also welcome to you. I'd like to take you on a trip back in time if I could. I'd love to go. Can we go back to the year in 1991? You might actually be able to find a sound effect that's better than that.
Starting point is 00:00:29 It was pretty beautiful. Thank you. We will go back to a time when the director of this movie named Tarsam peaked. Okay. He did the losing my religion video by R. No shit. No shit. Love that video. He saw, he saw Silence of the Lambs. Yeah, he did.
Starting point is 00:00:48 And then in 1999, he decided to make a movie called The Cell, where he smashed those two things in one movie. The Sellence of the Land, the, uh, the Silence of my religion? That's pretty good. Losing my silence of the lambs. th lam. th lam. th lam. th lam. th lam. th lam. th l lam. th lam, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the th. the the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the li. the l. the l. the l. the l. the l. the la, the l. the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, the la, thi, the la, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. the the thi. the the. Losing my sallons of the lambs. It's not bad. Wow, I had not put the losing my religion video in there, but yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:14 The scene where he's, you, spoiler alert, we're gonna have to spoil this movie for you. This is the cell, by the way. From 2000, starring Jil Jolo Vido. Vido, oh Vido and Vuh. And swiggers. As like when he was cute and not like your unemployed, why no uncle who's holding out for a management position.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Though I would like to talk about his acting prowess. I would like to talk about everybody's acting prowess, but yes. Where Carl Rudolph Starger. It's Starder it's a name it's a name it's a three name that's a serial killer must have is is watching his first kill is almost the exact same set from losing my religion oh my gosh I think you're right I need to re-watch the video but that's that's me in the corner so you in the spotlight? Yeah. Yeah. So this is just Silence of the Lambs with Dream sequences, right? Yeah. And I like
Starting point is 00:02:14 silence of the Lambs though. I gotta be honest with you. Almost a perfect. R. I. P. Jonathan Demi. Just recently passed away. Why is they almost perfect? What's not perfect about it? Should we need to go back and listen to it? No, it's probably perfect. It's probably that entire episode is just you, me and Perry going, Dr. Lector. God, Perry's Dr. Elector was so good. Because he's from Pittsburgh. That Picksburg, I said it's so good.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Yes, you did. Because you are now now one now one of us. I do have my first note is judging from the trailer this movie looks like a fever dream remembrance of the 90s. Okay which is great that that sounds like I'm in I am in. Do you want to watch the video for what's that 9-8-9 song like like an animal or whatever kind of looks like that? Kind of looks like that that with a mix of like the sort of sound garden black hole sun video where everybody's clay, you know. Where like everybody was like Photoshop tool to have their faces stretched.
Starting point is 00:03:13 For sure, I mean it's just the 90s. It's just the 90s except this movie came out in late 2000 and they were like, eh, it's still the 90s. I gotta be honest. I went went to to to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be th. th. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi. thi. thi thi the the the the thi thi th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th. th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Everybody, th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. Everybody that that that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody that's like everybody theeeeeeeeee. this thinking this is going to be garbage. I'd never seen it before. Yeah. Didn't hate it. No. But could you argue it's not garbage?
Starting point is 00:03:31 Well, let's get into it. Okay. It opens on a horse, which I'm fucking pissed about. But it redeems later, it redeems. And Jalo has that 2000's hair with all the twisties, all the twisties and pinned up. Beautiful as the day is long. She is a gorgeous woman. She cannot act. No, no, no. And she did a lot of movies. This was one of her earlier ones, I think, right? Before like the wedding planner and made in Manhattan. Wasn't Anaconda her first movie? Oh, might have been. That's a great movie. Why didn't we? th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah, the the th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We should have. We should have to have to have. We should have to do to to to to to do to to to do to do to do to do to do the've already got next week in the hopper. But soon, soon. I want to talk about Jaloo in this movie in that, God damn it, her
Starting point is 00:04:31 curls are so springy. They're so bouncy. But second, I feel like the director was like, okay, Jennifer, you are a professional woman at the top of her field, very competent. I need you to only talk like a baby. Just, the the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole thak, and she thak, thak, th. And she th. the whole th. the whole th. the whole, the whole, the the the the th. I's, the the the the the the director, tho, tho tho too too too, too, tooom. I' tooom. I' tooom. I' tooom. I' th. Just baby talk the whole thing. And she's like, okay, I'll never stop helping you. And it's like super uncomfortable to me. Oh, I, this movie definitely fails the Bechtel test. Oh, certainly. And I don't think it likes women at all. The woman doctor is pretty good. Yeah, but she serves almost no purpose except to encourage. That. the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And the whole. And th. Okay, I th. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. I I I I. I I. I. I I I I. I. I. I. I. I I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I, t. I, t. I, t. t. I, t. t. t. t. the. the. I. I. I. I. I. all. The woman doctor is pretty good. Yeah, but she serves almost no purpose except to encourage. That's true. I guess that you mean she's not terrible. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:12 You know the other the male doctor who we also had in an episode for when he was in trick or treat. Oh yeah, he was the guy. Yeah, he's the killer. He's like, like looks he's like Stephen like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi.'s like Stephen Mollbair. Which I probably made that joke then too so. A lot of episodes ago. His character name is, let me just verify this in my notes, is... Oh it's Henry West. I thought it was Herbert West. I thought he was named after the character from... Somebody in the movie's named Gordon Ramsey, which I laughed at. Which isn't that funny, but you got to take what you can't th you th you the to get the the to get the the to get the to the the the to the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thoom. thoom. thoes the the. thoom. thoom. thoom. It's thoes. It's thoes. It's thoes. It's thoes. It's thoes. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's the th. It's the th. It's the the the the the the th. It's th. It's the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. It's the. It's the. It's thee. It's theeeeeeat. It's theeeeeat. It's thee. It's the. It's the. It's the., which I laughed at. Which isn't that funny, but you gotta take what you can get, right? I recognize the guy who was playing Gordon Ramsey from other stuff, but I don't know what, and I didn't look at home.
Starting point is 00:05:52 It was not Teddy Lee, who was played by James Gammon, who is Lou Brown from the Major League movie. So good. Or a heart attack. I also just watched both Major League one and two this week. Yeah. I did not watch back to the minors because that's not a real movie I want to see. They both have Corbyn, Bernson in them? Yeah. I think he all three have Corbynson I'm guessing. Yeah. All right for your career. And Charlie Sheen is in the first two for sure. Okay. And Tom Barringer. And they take Wesley Sni's their their their thine's their thine's their thine's their their thine's their their their their thine's their their's their their to toe's their to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your to your your your your your your to your your your your your to your your to your. Yeah. Yeah................ Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.. Yeah. Yeah.. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeahthe first two for sure. Okay. Yeah. And Tom Beringer. And they take
Starting point is 00:06:26 Wesley Snipes from the first one and replace him with Omar Epps and the second one. Like we're not supposed to fucking notice. They don't look at all the line. They don't even address it. So he's Willie Mays Hayes in the second? Oh my God. He's just straight up walks in as Willie Mays Hays and you're like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like. the the the their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. We's. es name locked into my brain? Because it's perfect. It's a really, the first one is really funny. The second one is kind of funny. Is Bob Uker the announce, oh God. He's fucking perfect just a bit outside. I love that.
Starting point is 00:06:54 I love that. I love that. I love that. I love that. I love it this week. I love it. Anyway. So yes, so we meet Jennifer Lopez playing Dr. Catherine Dean. Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:15 She's an inexperienced but very, very good therapist, social worker, brain user. Child psychologist. Okay, all right, that works. Fine. Brain user? It's like my job title at work is computer operator. I wish I was a brain operator. Even better. I guess that's a that's a surgeon. Yeah. Neuro fixer. That's good. So she basically can go into people's minds while they're in a coma and try to get them into being conscious. First she has to put on a Dracula from Bram Circus Dracula's armor made out of Twizzlers.
Starting point is 00:07:57 I said beef jerky. I said Slim Jim's initially and I was like, maybe it's Twizzlers. But it has to be perfectly molded to her perfect body with cups and a huge butt. I said why does that suit cup her titties so well? It's perfect. If she gains an ounce she will not fit the for the jerky suit. What I love is that later Vince Vaughn gets in one of those suits which they just happen to have a Vince Vaughn like oh would you have a Ponty Dadbod suit line around here? Yes, yes, we do, Vince Bond. Yeah, that's true. We need you to go in there, this woman who's at the top of her field, we need this fucking Yahoo detective
Starting point is 00:08:30 to go in there and save her. And he does. Spoilers for later in the movie. It's so stupid. Oh God, all right. I feel like I'm, there are parts of it that I liked. It's, it is undeniably gorgeous. Yeah, it looks great and it was made for like not that. 30 million?
Starting point is 00:08:54 Yeah, that's, I feel like it could have cost a lot more. Gross like a hundred and four. Made a shitload of money. This wasn't like Jenny thing in 2000, like a force. She was a force. Yeah. On the music side, she was done being a fly girl, and she had moved on to being J-Lo. She has really had a nice career J-Lo has. And she just doesn't go away.
Starting point is 00:09:14 She doesn't go away. And you don't really like feel like she should go away. No, not at all. You go J-Loh. You, you. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to to to to to to to to to th. And th. And th. th. th. th. th. to th. th. to to th. And to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th th th the. And the. And the. And the. the the the the the the the the the the to the to to the. to th movie is like a mood ring. Did you notice that? When she's feeling low-key, she has a nude lip, when it's she's supposed to be sexy, she has a red lip and then when she's like a bad guy, she's a black lip. Come on. I can't wait to be talking about the bad guy sequence. Yeah. Yeah. So she's working with this kid, this young boy. He's just in a coma. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She's s. She't know why he's in a coma. Edward, he's just in a coma because he has rich parents. Yeah, it's a good reason to lay down and knock get back up, I guess. Like, she goes into his subconscious, and he is afraid of moak lock. Yeah. Moklock is the bookie man.
Starting point is 00:10:03 But someone asks where did he get that from? And she goes, Mother Goose, which no, that's not a thing, is it? I don't know. I'm going to look that up while we talk. So we're getting real good at looking stuff up lately. It's practically seamless. Edward's parents come to the hospital and they're like, you need to stop to to to to to to to this to to this to to this to to this to to this to to this to to this to pay this money anymore. We're just going to put him in a regular ass hospital and hope that he wakes up. Which, I mean, like he's not waking up in this regular. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:10:28 Yeah, yeah. He's not working up in the space hospital. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But Jalo is so endearing and sincere that she can'tto stay in the hospital. Six more months they're gonna try this. Also, Moklok does not seem to be a thing. Okay. And there's that scene that is very black hole sun
Starting point is 00:10:50 where Edward's face gets computer, like CGI scrunched up. Perfect, exactly. According to Wikipedia, he had a latent viral infection that causes an unusual form of schizophrenia. Can that happen? Edward did? No, the killer does. Sir, I'm telling you what Wikipedia says. Oh really? Yeah. A young boy left comatose by a latent viral infection that causes unusual form of schizophrenia. Whoa. Because you just say later like the the virus and I was like what virus is this kid out to put him in a whatever? Okay, it doesn't the same thing that it turns out that our killer has as well. He succumbs to to to to to to the same the same the same the same the same the same. Because the same. Because the same. Because the same. Because, the same. Because, the same. the same. the, is, is, is, is, is, like, is, is, is, like, is, is, is, is, is, is, like, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, I, I. I, I, I. I. I, I, I. I, I, I, I. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I. I, I. I, I, I. I. I, I, I. I, I. I. I, I. I, I. I, I. I, is, is, I. the, I. the, is, is, is, is, I. the, I. the, I. the, I. the, the, the, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the, the, the Because that's the same thing that it turns out that our killer has as well. He succumbs to the same schizophrenia illness and falls into a coma.
Starting point is 00:11:27 There we go. We should have got that. Anyway. And then we're introduced to the other main character of this movie, which is Carl Rudolph Starger, played by one Vincent Dinafrio. What a fucking weirdo that is. He also went from like young man to old man, really fast, I feel. This was just 2000. And he looks like a youngish man.
Starting point is 00:11:52 And then like, I feel like three or four years later, he's on that law and order spin off, looking like a dad. andad-a'a' today. You know what I mean? I'm thi I'm thi I'm thi I'm thi I'm going thi I'm going thi I'm going thi I'm going thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi that that. that. that thi thi. that. thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho tho. tho. tho. the. the. the. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thea. to to to to toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. thea. thea. the answer to this one, but I'll put it out there anyway. Did you watch the Daredevil series on Netflix? I'm getting an eye, I'm getting a stare. No. He plays a character named the Kingpin in that. Okay, fucking phenomenal phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Yeah. Worth watching for Binthaphre. great in this I feel. I'm gonna chalk that up to the director of this. Okay, that's fair. That's fair. So we meet him and he's wearing what can only be described as a Kirk Cobain wig. Yeah, yeah, but like very straw-e, not as luxurious as Kurt's. Because everything is the 90s and the 90s are everything. Yeah, including he. So he is drowning this woman in a giant metal or giant glass cage. A cell you might say. I might say that. Yeah. Were you so inclined. And then he bleaches her body after she drowns. Yeah. Which I couldn't figure out what was going.
Starting point is 00:13:01 I was like, why is he washing her in milk? What's happening right now? Yeah, the Jelo asks her cat if he wants milk, and then the next scene is the woman in the bleach, and it looks like milk, you know, it's like, what are you doing? Yeah. But would bleach your eye, your pupils' health? I think it would burn science of this movie. It's just not adding up for me. Yeah, going into other people's subconscious.
Starting point is 00:13:27 He bleaches her body, lays her down on a table, and this is where we see that he has suspension loops. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Pierce through his back and arms. I feel like that's a very late 90s fixation. For sure. And then he suspends himself and, uh... Just hovers? Or... Does he fuck it? No.
Starting point is 00:13:47 He jerks off over top of it. Oh, I miss that. That's probably for the best. Yeah, I didn't need to see that, I guess. To know that it wasn't good. Which is probably a good review for this movie. Yeah, it's... Oh, he's keeping her in a grain silo. We should mention that as well. I didn't notice that either.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Oh, really? Yeah, I mean, I found out at the end. Also, one thing we forgot to mention earlier that's somewhat of relevance to the film is that when Jalo is talking to the boy's family, and then she goes and talks to like, the boss, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the boy, the boy, the boy, the boy. the boo, they. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the boo, the boo, the boo, the boo, the boo, the boo, the boo, the bo..., the bo..., the the bo., to., to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to, to do this thing where instead of going into the boy's mind, she brings the boy into her mind called reversing. And they're like, no, it's way too fucking dangerous. And she's like, I've got it. And they're like, no, it's way too dangerous. And she's like, fine. And then she goes home and sleeps in t. Sorry men, she's wearing fucking sweatpants.
Starting point is 00:14:45 Dumb. And she huffs a bone, smokes that joint. Oh, did she? Yeah. Alan, did I see this movie? I did steal it from the internet, so it's possible that I just got an edited version. Yeah, it was on stuff and now it's just on HBO now. Who care? I'm guessing most people have either already seen this or this this this this thi this thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I's thi. I's th. I's th. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. to th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. guessing most people have either already seen this or don't care to see it at this point so. Or have that HBO to watch them games of Thrones.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Oh right, those throne games. And them big little lies. I don't know what that is. Is that pretty little liars or is that something else? That's something else. Big little lies is a b-based on a book. It's a book. It's got a bunch. Big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big little big big little big little big little big little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little. It's a big. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's big little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little little. the. the. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their little little little. their. It's a big little. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a it. Oh, like this? Yeah, like Nicole Kidman's in it. Oh, yeah, she's from the 90s. She is. She's from your favorite movie of all time. Let me out of the car, Cole. Let me out of the car.
Starting point is 00:15:32 So then we meet the cops. So then we be the every man cop. Is that like the- Is he the guy who just says sleeping through a lot of the investigation? No. No, he's the one who's like, he's, uh, he's just a big-headed guy? He's like, he's like, he's like, he's a big-hea-he'....... He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, the. He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, the. He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's all the files and I need them right now. And it's fucking Vince Vaugh. Dangerous, dangerous brooding Vince Vaughn, I feel. Just like standing in the middle of a river. Smoking a cigarette. Like telling these older probably more experienced
Starting point is 00:16:16 cops what to do. Like fucking general manager Lou Brown who's dressed like detective Pan Amoja Act for no reason. I feel like they were like, can you get Nick Nolte? No, Gary Busey around? No, that guy with a Walrus mustache from the baseball movies. Yeah, we can get him. He's good. He's a good one. He disappears halfway through the movie and never reappears too.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Did you notice that? I think he just like got called away to something. Major League 4. Yep. Did you watch Swingers? In like high school. Yeah. I remember a bunch of people being super into it and me just not getting it. I feel like I didn't. Yeah, it doesn't.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I don't remember anything about it. But I don't, I don't understand the stardom of Vince Vaughn. He's like sort of, he's sort of like every man cute, I guess. Yeah. But he just... He doesn't seem charismatic to me. No. No. I've never seen a movie where I've been like, oh, that Vince Vaughn.
Starting point is 00:17:16 And he says all these comedies too, where he's not that funny. I don't to criticize his appearance, but the man looks exhausted. And I haven't seen him in a movie in years, I'm assuming he's dead. Wasn't he in that true detective two? I didn't see that either. Wasn't that Matthew McConaughey? That wasn't the true detective one. Oh, okay. Woody and Matthew McConaughey. Mm. Woody, he's cool. Why wasn't he in this movie?
Starting point is 00:17:46 Better things to do. Weed to normalize? Yeah. We had to normalize. So, I don't know. They're like. Oh, there's a Glenn sighting in this movie, too. A Glenn's a tieding? Yeah, Jalo has a cat. thin. thatatatatattahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. the the the. the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to, a little thinner than Glenn. Glenn is getting too fat. It's a problem. Oh, we all got fat cats. It's true. We don't, we're in a bit terrible pet parents.
Starting point is 00:18:08 I'm like, you and them cheese? You want to eat this ice cream? I'll tea this ice cream. I mean, he's only going to live like 15, 16 years. Why should I? Yeah. Why should I? then, why, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th., okay, so like they do some vague police work and find the bad guy, like right away. They basically just like find an albino dog hair. Yeah, they said. Lou Brown is a scientist also. He's like, oh, hypo alibi. Yes. But first he's like, uh, ha ha ha ha's like, you dummies. Yeah, he nails it.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Finds an albino dog here. They find one like albino dog in the state. And it's owned by a guy who drives the right, the right kind of truck. Right color pick up. Yeah, it's done and done. Also, I will say when they solve this case, it's also super simple police work. Yeah. Well, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, the the the the the thi, thi, the thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. theean. thean. thean. thean. thean. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I will say when they solve this case it's also super simple police work. Yeah. Well that's the thing is I was wondering like while they're in this brain zone, is anybody doing regular police work like trying to figure out where this man might have access to or like
Starting point is 00:19:15 trying to trace the video feed or doing any like just basic detectiveing, you know? It's so ridiculous ridiculous. Yeah, it's like he just waited in the the the the th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I was thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I was th. th. th. thee. theeeee. the. theeee. theeeee. thee. theee. the. the. I was the. I was the. I was th Yeah. I like, what was Bighead doing that whole time? And like, yeah, it doesn't matter. It seemed like he just waited in the basement until he was told what to do days later. I don't know if it was days. I guess it couldn't have been. Forget it, I'm rambling. So they get the dog hair because he has kidnapped another woman
Starting point is 00:19:42 who he's been spying on for a while. And for some reason we care about this one more than the others, as these storylines are wont to make you do. Because this is the most recent one is going to, he's doing it too quick now. It's like just three days in between. He's revving it up. And we see while he's stalking her that he's having like psychotic episodes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the story the the story the the the story. This the story. This is the the story. This is the the the story. This is thiiolines. This is thi. thi thi thi thiaugh thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th. Which does not. It contains like how to get episodes. Tummy ache. Tommy ache.
Starting point is 00:20:07 I once took eight aspirin at a time and like one shot because I hurt my arm really bad. And I was like, well, three aspirin does a good job. Eight will probably. No, no, it turns, it just made my stomach hurt real fucking bad. Oh boy. Hey guys, don't take too much aspirin. Hey guys, you know what, follow the recommended dosage on any medication, I feel.
Starting point is 00:20:32 It's like a stance we can reliably take. Kids. Don't, don't take too much over-the-counter medication. No. . Oh, scizurp? Yeah. You can go and grip and sip. It's also, well, no, I guess it's very early 2000. It's all the same.
Starting point is 00:20:52 It's all the same. Oh, and I forgot to mention when they find the first girl's body, she's wrapped in plastic like Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks. Yeah, it's all the 90s. It is all the 90s. So he like, Vincent Genofrio like collapses for seemingly no reason, right before the cops get there. And then the doctor that examines him, whom we never see again, like there's too many fucking people in this movie. And all of them are white men, and you know I can't tell them apart. That doctor is from one of my favorite episodes of the-Files. Which one? Andree?
Starting point is 00:21:25 He's the guy with the shaky eyes that walks around on the stilts. That's the painter. Huh. I don't remember that. He's a really good actor. It's a really creepy episode. I'll have to re-watch it. Yeah, I that real?
Starting point is 00:21:46 This sounds made up. It's like disappearing brain, he'll never come back. How do you get him out of this? You can't, he's gone forever. What kind of doctor are you? One who's got to go, guys. Yeah, and then never to be seen again. There's seriously the tacos are delicious. I had tacos for dinner. I had nachos. I had nachos.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Oh, so why we are just farting in here. This is the cheesiest podcast we've done yet? Yeah. So they've got the comatose body of Carl Carl, Carl, Vincent De Nofrio and they go to Jalo and they're like Jalo you got to get up in his brain guts and he's like I know one person who can help like how do you know J lo but anyway carry on and she's like no I don't want to do that no I don't want to do that but like there's like all the every time there's supposed to be some sort of tension or some sort of antigative, there's nothing. There's nothing going on in this movie. Yeah. You're right about the lady doctor too because she's like that when they're going around the table saying yay or nay, she's like whatever, whatever Jalo things, I'm fine with it. Okay, cool opinion. I'm just your support system. Yeah. Yeah. the. the. the. the. the. Yeah. the. the. the. the. the. Yeah. the. the. the. Yeah. the. Yeah. the. Yeah. Yeah. the. the the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the movie. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. I. Yeah. the. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the she goes inside. And it looks cool as shit. Oh yeah, I'm sure. God, this movie must just be like Marilyn Manson's wet treat.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Like it's just the most Marilyn Manson-y thing you can do. Yeah. But we first see him as a little kid running around and he still has the Kirk Cobain haircut. Yes. Which is ridiculous. We then see him seated in a chair with giant purple curtains attached to his back. He looks really cool. Yeah. It looks great. This movie really plays into a lot of my distrust of virtual reality too. I feel like I've been saying it for a year, for at least a year now. But one of the things we learn is that if something happens to JLO in this world, her
Starting point is 00:23:48 body might think it's real. And I was like, see, motherfuckers? See? So she's got to be careful, okay. That's important to know. She's got to be careful. Also important to know she has a microchip in her hand that she can push and get out. Oh, okay. But, is she, is she,
Starting point is 00:24:08 yes, so they, when she goes, like, they put her in the slim gym suit and then they put a face cloth over her face that has microtips on it. Yeah, it's a boot, poop, poop cloth. Doesn't seem to do anything. And then they put a silver thing in her suit that injects like some sleepy time medicines into her? Yeah and then she has to go up into the air. Oh and then which is really cool looking. Sure. The suspension and like when they're first suspending Dinafrio she's like oh you should have left
Starting point is 00:24:35 those things in his back. Oh that's why she said that I see. Well they couldn't, well, they wouldn't have gone through the slim gym suit. That also perfectly fits him. He's a big dude. Big guy. Yeah. These slim gym suits are versatile. Maybe they just stretch real good. Yeah. Well, maybe that fits into my twizzler idea then.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Oh, sure. Yeah, I like that better. For realism purposes. This is where I have the note, they, they, they, they, they, they, the the the the the the the the the the the the the, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, thi, thiolk, tha, tha, tha, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the note, they're not bad actors. No, they're not, I mean of actors we've seen, they are right in the middle. It's true, even Vince Vaughn. Yeah. He's telling, I can't remember what the story is now that he's telling her to like... He was a prosecutor.
Starting point is 00:25:21 And he's that guy got off because of a piece of bad evidence who had molested a little girl. And then he's like the next night when the girl's parents came home, they found her. And I was like, why the fuck did they leave this little girl home alone? What is this story? And then it becomes just grotes. Because he's like, and he's sitting next to her and like she's decapitated and all of her guts are spilled out on the floor and he said something. And then everybody jerks off on a pile of guts basically. It's like, the horror of this movie is in the grossness, I guess, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Like, the scene before this when Jalo goes in for the first time, there's like all these doors open and there's all the women, bodies are like it's it's cool it's scary but it's also sort of like subversive corporate haunted house you know what I mean like I don't go to haunted houses but I think that's what they're like right yeah I like the idea of subversive corporate haunted house you know what I mean like a good haunted house like a good haunted house I think it's like that mix with like a little bit of like burlesque or something. Like they're all kind of like sexed up. They are very sexed.
Starting point is 00:26:29 And I guess that's, they're also making sexy sounds. In his psyche, they're all going to be sexy but also dead and. Egh. It's also very Marilyn Manson videoy like. Which is also very nine-age nails video. Yeah. age nails videoy because in the 90s. I love the scene. We talk about Marilyn Manson too much for our own good. I love the scene where the power goes out in the lab and like she's gone under and the power goes out and they're like, oh you got to wake up.
Starting point is 00:26:56 The circuit breakers in the room you're in. And at first I was like, what the fuck is this bullshit? And then I was like, oh wait, she's still asleep, this is just a dream. Yeah. But it's later, there's no controls in the control room, all in the controls. You could totally override the control. You could totally over over over over over over over over over over over over over over the th. th. the th. the th. the th. tho the the th. the th. the tho the tho tho the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. thi. the f. the fc. the f. the fuck is, the fuck is, what is, what is, what is the fuck is the fuck is the fuck is the fuck is the f. What is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what is, what th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. What th. the f. What the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. the f. the fc. the fc. the fc. the fc. the fc. the fc. the fc. the fc. the fc. the fc. nothing else. But wait, we forgot one really important thing. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is in that first time she goes into his brain, the horse, the horse, the horse, the horse. Can you like just describe what happened? I'm just going to relax right while you describe what happened? You don't want to talk to him?
Starting point is 00:27:36 You don't want to talk to him and she's like, patting the horse, she's like, it's a very beautiful horse, and then panes of glass drop down and bisect the horse. Like, credulase the horse. It like cuts the horse into at least like eight pieces. I was like, fucking vindication. This is the moment I've been waiting for. And to be honest with you, when we write this movie,
Starting point is 00:28:08 it gets three points just for that. You never really see a horse die except in like heroic battle. It's charging in and it gets shot and it falls, but it was going for the gold, you know. But just to see a horse senselessly killed is like really appealing to me. And it's based on a somewhat like famous piece of art that some guy did where he took cows and did that to them. Don't leave them, you leave cows alone. They're nice, they're fine. Horses, man, fucking monsters. Oh, also when we first go to JLo's apartment she's watching
Starting point is 00:28:46 Fantastic Planet and just sitting there and giggling and I was like she did get super high from that joint and like just a real weird movie she's just like eh ha ha ha ha. She's cool I guess. She knows she's just Jenny from the block. You used to have a little but now she has a lot. Don't be a fool by the rocks that she got. Yeah but she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows she knows th th th th th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And the th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. the the the the th. th. th. the th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi's thi's thi's thi's thi thi th Jenny from the block. I used to have a little, but now she has a lot. Don't be fooled by the rocks that she got. Yeah, but she knows, she knows where she came from. We meet Carl's dad. Oh, fuck that.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Fuck this time. I'm out. I'm out. It just goes from like, it not in a not in a dancing sexy dead girl way, but like in a oh child abuse way. Yeah, not even like in the like that, maybe that's like, sort of like really disturbing, iconic scene from Sounds of the Lambs like, would you fuck me? Like, that's like, but it's also disturbing and like, you're, you're seeing the psychosis of this human being. And this is just like, um, I don't, I, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th, like, like, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, but it's also disturbing and like, you're, you're seeing the psychosis of this human being.
Starting point is 00:29:46 And this is just like, I don't know, just have some dude beat the shit out of a kid for a while. Yeah, put in a hot iron on him. That's a great thing. And make him look at a woman's vagina, I guess for a second, where I was like, oh, for Christ's sake. It's so Henry Portrait of a serial killer, which I guess they're also blending in here because you're supposed to feel sympathy for the serial killer? Yeah, you're supposed to. Jalo certainly does, which I'm a... But also like, then she's in that conversation with Vince Vaugh and he's like, people can endure the worst of abuse and never heard another human.
Starting point is 00:30:18 How do you know? Scene cuts. Well, no, he's like, I know. Yeah. That's it. Okay, fine. Fine. I had to wait a half an hour for a pizza. I didn't avoid the noid. Hopefully that scene ended up on the cutting room floor and actually existed at some point. I mean, it's just like, they're like, you figure it out.
Starting point is 00:30:40 So then we meet adult Carl again and he is a goat man? Yeah, we're bull-horned. He looks like the guy from prodigy. Very 90s. The fire starter. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's one. I don't know if there's another line to that song or I would have said it back to you. Wow. That's it. He's just a bullman, goat man, whatever. He puts a collar around Jalo's neck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:12 Which does not prevent her from touching her hand to get out of it. Or doesn't it? No, it doesn't. I was there. I watched the movie. But blood spurts out of her neck when he does it, because there's like spikes on the inside of the collar. Oh, and he has been, he collars all of his victims. Right, right, right. So she's stuck in there, there's no way out.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Like, what did you, did you not think this could happen, guys? Like, you had no, no fail safe for this? Well, she didn't want to go back in So then I have the note, they're sending swingers in. Yeah, I mean, but they just fucking send Vince Wan in there. He, first of all, he has to, to rescue the girl, even though this is her job and not his job. He doesn't have a microchip hand, like, how is he supposed to get out? Yeah, he's got a wiener though and that'll save the day, right? Always. And this is the craziest inoprio. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Yeah. Who like, I feel like he was just like, fuck it. I'm having fucking fun with this. This is my last day on the set. Did you notice that they gave him tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny the tiny the tiny tiny the tiny tiny the tiny the tiny the tiny tiny the the the the tthat they gave him tiny teeth dentures for this one? Yeah, it was really upsetting. I liked it. I was like, oh why's he got little candy corn teeth? Just little little little nibs on candy corn. Sharp little nibs. It's like, oh, and then I had to look at, I was like, wait are those his teeth? I was like, no, no, he's got kind of a weird, thininin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, like, like, like, like, little, little little little, little, like, like, like, like, like, like, little, like, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little little, like, like, like, like, like, like, little little little little little little little, little, little, like, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, a little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, little, like he's got like a weird front tooth. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which he's had fixed since. Because when you type in Vincent and Ophrio's teeth, there's people talking shit on him for fixing his teeth.
Starting point is 00:32:50 It's like, let the man do what he wants. Let the man have teeth if he wants to. This scene where Vinson are saying to him, like you read her file, say things to her that will remind her who she is or whatever, and he just screams, your baby brother had a car accident! And I was like, why was that baby driving a car? Like, there's so many ways to phrase that where it doesn't sound like a baby's. You drove a car accident. He probably th something? But they chose this one.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Your baby brother had a car accident. He probably couldn't reach the break. Babies don't have cornish. Some of them can't even all their heads up, Alan. Driving a car. It was probably stick to. You know he doesn't have the muscular strength to do these things. He's not operating three pedals at once.
Starting point is 00:33:47 He was in a coma for six months before he died. Also Jalo looks so 90s beautiful in this scene. She looks, yeah, she really does. This is when she's the bad guy. No, no, this is when she's like when we first see her, when she's got like the golden face face plate thing on like like kind of like peacocking hair and she just looks so cool. She's got red lips in the scene because it's supposed to be sort of sexy. Yeah. Yeah. For her mood ring lips. And Dinofrio knocks down Vince Vaughan and cuts open his stomach and then has this spit thing which he attaches his
Starting point is 00:34:20 intestines to and starts winding them up. That's pretty good. That was pretty cool. Pretty good pretty that. Yeah. And then later later the the the the th the th the th the th the th th the th the th th the th. the the the th. th. the th. the th. the th. the th. th. the the th. the the th. th. th. He's th. th. th. th. th. She's got the the the the the the the the th. She's the the th. She's got the th. She's got the th. She's got. She's got. She's the th. She. She. She. She's th. She. She. And. the the the the. the. the. good. That was pretty good. That was pretty to that. Yeah. And then later we see that he has a picture like an old timey painting from the Bible of somebody doing that. Yeah, oh yeah, right. And Vince Vanne looks like it like, oh man. Yeah, that happened to me. That happened to hang out with him.
Starting point is 00:34:45 Yeah, to lick his hand and make him more, what does she say, more receptive or more? Something like that. Yeah. Fuck yourself. You've done this once room without an override switch. You like, everything you've done is wrong. So she stabs Carl and they get out of... Is this one she's a bad guy? They get out and then she goes back in after she like reprograms things. Which is the Immacula Jalo? Yeah, she's not. Which had to have been an album she did.
Starting point is 00:35:23 I guess that was Madonna. Would listen. And she goes back in. Yes. She, and, and, the, the, she, she, she, the, she's, she's, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi's thi's thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thiiiiii thiiii thii thiaa' thi's thi's. I guess that was Madonna. Would listen. And she goes back in and yes she's she's the virgin Mary Jalo and she's like trying to save the child. Oh right right and this is the nipple rings. Right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So then the next incarnation of Dinafriar shows up and this one's a little like, come on guys. He's like a snake man. I don't remember what he look. He he listen. He looks. He looks. He looks. He looks. He looks. He hea. He hea. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He had like. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had. He had, he. He had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, he had, one's a little like, come on, guys, he's like a snake man. I don't even remember what he looked like. He looked, he had like alligator scales like painted on top of his head and he had like real sharp pointy teeth and then he had the horns on his nipple rings. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Which Jalo rips off of his chest. Which I really cringed, that's, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. they, to. to, to, to, to to to. they, to to to to to to to to to they, they, they, they, they, they, they, to they, to they, they, they, they, they, they, I they, I they, I they, I they, I they, I they, I they, I they, I they, I they, I th. He. He, I th. He's to me to me to me told. I told. I to me to me told. to me to to told. He looks to me to me toe. He looks toe. He looks to me toe They were definitely checkoff's nipple rings. They introduced them in the first act and they're going to be ripping them out of him at some point. Gotta rip him out in the third. That's that's the rule. Um, I don't think we've done the checkoff's nipple rings yet. No. We've done basically every other inanimate object that could be a Czechovian thing. Chakovian. Forget-ch, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, to death. She stabs him with a sword, and she mushes him around a little bit. Yeah. And this frees him. And then she has to go over and kill the child.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Who has like told her this story about drowning a bird so that his dad wouldn't hurt him? And I'm like, I think this is supposed to make me feel bad for you. I don't really feel that bad for you. He's not sympathetic. He doesn't ever become sympathetic. I feel bad for the kid. I know that's him, but like too late, fucker. You know? There's, I read a review of this that was just like,
Starting point is 00:36:55 I don't want to take care of Valentine now, which is the dog. Oh, that will be answered. So in this time, though, Vince Fawn has figured out where the girl is being held. Right, by the symbol that's on everything. Yeah, which they find in the basement, where the cops have just been hanging out, where the girl is being the cops have just been hanging out waiting? Where he goes in by him. No, they're searching with helicopters and stuff because he lands in the helicopter and then goes into the basement.
Starting point is 00:37:28 How long did all of this take less than a day? A couple days. A couple days. A couple days. Okay, because I know they said, she doesn't have much time. But I wasn't paying attention to what, I was. that they do. And the whole time the woman who's been abducted is in a cell that's got water coming into it. Yeah, like every so often it turns on and fills up a little. But there's no like, maybe I'm a crass person for this but I
Starting point is 00:37:52 did I wasn't like oh no every time I was like oh she's getting wet I guess. Yeah I mean you know they're gonna save her so right. And we've seen the video is the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. the the the the the they. the the the the the they. they's they's they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're. I I I I I they're they. I they. I they. I's they. I's trie. I'm try. I'm try. I'm try. I'm try. I'm try. I'm they. I'm they. I'm they're they're they're they're they drowning because he tapes the whole thing. One of them, the last thing she says is I'm daddy's girl and I was like shut up Blanch Devereaux. Like what God would help you if those are your last words. Maybe she's writing a letter to daddy. Oh, don't make me sing it. No? No? Not today. I've been yelling for a while now. So, yeah, the movie's wrapping up now and... So Vince Vaughn goes in and shoots the glass, breaks it, so it's which in the scene I also noticed he was wearing an index finger ring of a horse shoe? And I was like, why? He's very lucky. I was like, oh, horses!
Starting point is 00:38:44 And she... He's very lucky. I was like, oh, horses. And she, yeah, he saves the woman. Although he's like, shoot directly at her to break the glass. Yeah, it seems like he should have shot down. And then he like goes in to hug her and she's like, get the fuck off me. And he's like, no, I hate that in movies. There's always like, you're okay, I'm hugging you. Get the fuck off off off off's like so traumatized.
Starting point is 00:39:06 It's that bullshit man thing of like, well, you are safe now because I am hugging you to safety. Hugging you back to health. Minn, Vince Vaughn has never hugs? We had to hug a bunka, a bunch of monkeys first to make sure it worked. And then when they didn't get polio, they hugged all the children of Pittsburgh. RIP Jonas Selt.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Oh, I love that so much. Yeah, it's like a couple days later now, and Vince Vaughn is he's taking a break. He's taking a couple of a little while off the force because like there's a shooting and stuff. Administrative leaves of some kind. Yeah, it's like that hot buzz thing of like if you do this there's a hell a lot of paperwork you have to fill out. Exactly. You know that harm would be. Yeah., even though he's not supposed to be. He's just hanging out. He just can't turn it off. And she's wearing a blanket.
Starting point is 00:40:08 A beautiful looking afgat. Yeah, just draped around her perfect skin, so whatever. And she's driving her child psychologist's car, like a Volvo station wagon. And she's, who's in the front seat? Oh, Valentine. Oh, Valentine. She took the cigarette to her dog. That dog must be really well trained though, because earlier in the movie, he like pretended he'd been hit by a car. So you could probably get that dog to do a lot of stuff for you.
Starting point is 00:40:33 That dog's a monster. He didn't know. He was just just following orders. But seriously though, th he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he was he was he was just he he was just he he was just he he was just he he was just he he was just he he he he he he was just just just just just just just he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he the the thr. He was just thr. He was just tried. He was just tried. He was just tried. He was just the thr. He was just the the he he he he he think about getting a dog that well trained. You could be like, go get me a drink. And you know that dog could do it. That dog could like open the refrigerator with a towel around the handle. Yeah. Get a drink out and then push the door clothes and bring it to you. Like, that's pretty fucking good. That's all that.
Starting point is 00:40:57 And then you're just going to hand. I didn't want pink, I wanted white. It's not open. Uh, dog. Valentine just puts his teeth on and goes, crickch. I like this fantasy of what Valentine's doing for J-Lo. Ugh, this movie, yeah. Katie, should we move on to the ratings phase? No. No.
Starting point is 00:41:23 No. Yeah, let'sda-da-da-da-da-da. Yeah, let's do it. Go ahead. I had a lot of fun talking about this movie. I was super bored watching this movie. I liked how beautiful it was, because it's gorgeous. He did another movie called, I think, the fall, starring the Pie Man from Pushing Daies. Anyway, that also looks super
Starting point is 00:41:47 gorgeous when we watch the trailer for it, but this it's just not, it's like silent lambs with dream sequences. Yeah. And no, nothing to it. It's vapid, I would say. It's like it's beautiful to look at but there's nothing going on behind that. Yeah. Give it a five. Five.. Yeah I mean you can do a lot worse than watching this movie. Oh yeah and it's hilarious to talk about later. Yeah I mean like I I went into this assuming it was really really bad and it's not really bad so I think that elevated it a little for me, plus the horse killing. I normally get pretty bored in movies.
Starting point is 00:42:27 This is kind of a longer one. It was like an hour and 45 minutes. You know what I was pretty much in it the whole time, though. I enjoyed it. The first act dragged a little bit, even though they catch the killer basically right away. So I don't know what I mean that's that I mean th th th th th th th tho tho th th th thin thi thi thi the that is that is that is the that is that is the that is that is the that is the th. th. th. that is that is that, th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It was kind the the the the the the the the the the th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It was th. It's is th. It's th. It's th. It's that is that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th's not climactic at all. Yeah, it's hard to say where the movie peaks. But I actually thought it wasn't that bad. I probably wouldn't choose to watch it again. But if somebody asked if I wanted to watch it, I'd say, yeah, all right.
Starting point is 00:42:56 I'm going to give it a six and a half. Whoa. It's a pretty good score. It's really just that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I thought I was it was going to be really bad and then it wasn't really bad. Yeah. It wasn't and plus I had Lou Brown. And plus you know one of the leads is not a white person which is pretty cool and you know there's there's like people of color in it and it's not just all dudes doing dude stuff. There is an exceeding number of white dudes in this movie though. I do not I do not know who they all were. I love the white white the white the white the white th dude the white th dude th dude the white th dude th dude the white the white th dude the th dude th dudes the th dudes th dudes the th dudes the th dudes th dudes the th dudes th dudes th dudes th dudes th dudes just just th dudes th dudes just th dudes. the the thu. th dudes just th dudes th dudes th dudes thu. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their their their their. their. their. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the in this movie though.
