Starting point is 00:00:37 Why don't we get a spring? We deserve a spring time? I heard we were to talk about a movie, as we do, to spoil a movie. So if you haven't seen Creature from the Black Lagoon, you probably should have. It's kind of a classic. It's also like 79 minutes, so just like watch it right now and then come back to this. Pause it. Or as I like to say, delete this one, watch the movie, then redoundle of the episode. That helps us. That helps us it it it th us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us it the numbers it. the numbers the numbers to to to to to the numbers to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the to the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. toooooooooooooooooooo. too. to to to to the movie, then redownload the episode. Help those numbers out. That helps us. Tremendously. Speaking of numbers, Emily, yes.
Starting point is 00:01:09 You've done stats for us in the past. I have done stats and I have updated stats for you guys. Holy crap. Oh shit. I unfortunately didn't print them out or send them to you to print it out. them on our tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, thes, thin, thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thi. thin'a, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. thi. to. to. to. to. to. to. too. too. too. too. too. Starting point is 00:01:40 think I don't know I was actually really surprised are you sure are you sure that's not a typo I'm maybe you guys you guys the the the the th you guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys to to the the th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th th th I th you th you th you to th you th I th I thus I to to to to to to to to to th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th I th. th. th. You guys both have to have been like, you were like a 4.5 and like you guys like that movie much more than. That wasn't the episode we did drunk right. That was grabbers. Although we did a couple episodes drunk. Yeah, that one with the shark. I was definitely drunk on that one. Geez, it must have been like
Starting point is 00:02:05 sandwiched between other things that were terrible because sometimes we like get, we get like a, what is there a word for the bias of something being terrible before or after something? Yeah, you gave it a five. That's ridiculous. That's disgusting. My memory is that I fucking hated that movie. Yeah, you it's a middle of the room. I give it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five. I, I, I was a five it a five it a five it a five. I was a five. I was a five. I was a five. I was a five. I was a five. I was a five. I I was. I was a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a five it a 5. I I I I I I I was a 5. I I I I I I, I I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I was. I was. I was. I was. I'm. I'm like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like a th. It's a th. It's like like th. It's like like th. It's like th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a the. I'm a the. I fucking hated that movie. Yeah, no you didn't hate that movie. Yeah, it's in middle of the room. I give it above average. I mean yeah you might have been like yeah in between some other things that were. Yeah it must have been pretty pretty bad. I but I did update all of your statistic. Everything moved down like a tiny notch like your average has sunk a little bit. Yeah, but I think the most surprising thing was it 12 of the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the last the th. th. th. the th. the the th. Yeah. Yeah. the the th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah........................................................................................................ the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I think the most surprising thing was that 12 of the last 36 movies that you've done were from the 2000s. I know, we've been hitting it so hard.
Starting point is 00:02:51 And that's why it's gone down, too, because they're bad. Yeah. So that actually informed my decision making, my thought process on this, because I sent you guys three movies, three movies. And, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the the the the the th, the th, thi, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, were, were, were, were, were, were, were, were, were, were, were, were, were, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, th, th, th, th, th, the th, thi, their, thi, their, thi, their, their, thousand, their, their, their, thoooo., the., the., the., the., their, their, the the the. And two of them were from, I think they were both from 2009, 2007 and 2008. And so this movie's from 1954, and so I figured let's hit the 50s. Yeah, you had to clean us up. Which we have not hit very hard. We have not hit the 50s at all. We have not hit the 50s at all.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Look, you're in this boat with us. Yeah. What were the other two two two two two two two two two two two two two the the third member because of all the stats. What was the, where were the other two movies that you suggested? Um, I suggested the movie, um, oh, it's slipping my mind. The, the Swedish, the Swedish vampire. Yeah, let the right one in. And then the other one that I suggested was my bloody valetime. That's right. That's right. Because I just I just, I the the other the other the other the other the other the other. I the other. I the other. I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, the the the th. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was, the th. I was. I was. I was. I was. the the the the the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the the the the to talk about Dean Winchester the whole time. When do we have you back, we'll do that one, because I have the 3D version with the came with the glasses in the DVD case.
Starting point is 00:03:48 I don't know why I purchased it with my own money. Yeah. The weird thing was that the creature from the Black Lagoon was also a three-D movie. I was watching it thinking like I don't know what part of this would have been better in 3D. That explains a lot of the lingering shots though. Maybe. Like a lot of the swimming lingering. I just thought that was that was padding. They were like we have to get this to 80 minutes. We have this beautiful lagoon, like a beautiful woman wearing a white strapless bathing so let's just... I feel like the beautiful woman. I the the th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like th. Like a th. Like a th. Like a th. Like a lot th. Like a lot th. Like a lot th. thi. the. that that that that that thri. that that that thri. that the lingering that the lingering that thi. thi. th. th like the, remember hearing somewhere that like that underwater filmmaking was pretty new as well. Yeah, it's definitely novelty. Yeah. I get into Wikipedia holes and a whole lot of research into the development of the aqua lung, the development of scuba. Yeah. And, and how that was, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:38 but that's that's what happens to me when I start researching something. So, is aqua lung the predecessor to Scuba? It's a type of Scuba. It's what they call Scuba Gear in Britain. And then it was like, it's a very complicated story about like generic-sides trademarks and things like that. Gotcha. I love the phrase Aqualong.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Well, like, they're like, get the a thrown.. It they. It. It. It. other rabbit hole. Yeah. So back to Unfriended for one second. Sure. The three movies before Unfriended were Rosemary's Baby. Love it. The How the Howling. Like It. And Don't Look Now. the today movie. Maybe we were on the high from doing movies that were really good. Yeah. How it's after Unfriended? Because the the the movie. the movie. the movie. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. to the. the. to the. three. three. three. three. three. three. thre reversal. The Town that dreaded sundown. Remake. I feel like that was better than unfriended. Yeah. I don't know. We must have just been charitable.
Starting point is 00:05:31 I think maybe we're just like getting, um, getting shittier, getting meaner. It's because we've been hit in the 2000s too hard. But no, that movie's garbage. We've relied to you previously. Honestly, maybe we should go back someday and just retcon all of these ratings. I gotta rewrite Return of the Living Dead. All right, well, we'll do this some other time. We need to do one of those sitcom episodes where there's like,
Starting point is 00:05:54 remember the time, and then we go back and re-rate the movie. Yeah, montage episode. Yeah. Somebody else edited that together. Yes, no, please don't. All right, so let's get into talking about creature from the Black Lagoon. Where do you guys want to start? You said you wanted to bring us something a little bit older because of our terrible 2000s experience recently. Well, you know, just trying to mix it up. Is this like a favorite movie for you or how did you? I watched this movie, so I have have to to not really a horror movie fan, and this is a hard movie.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I went through like lists of horror movies just to pick out anything that I had seen before. That was how I had like a bigger list and I sent you guys those three and I had seen let the right one in. I really liked that, but I was also afraid that I would just spend the entire time talking about how much of the Swedish language language language language really boring. So I didn't do that. But this is a movie that I watched in college with a friend and I really liked it. We watched a lot of classic movies at the time and like this movie and the blob.
Starting point is 00:06:54 The original Steve McQueen. And then we watched a lot of other, you know, Audrey Hepburn movies and that kind of fit into that. 50s and 60s movies that have that kind of classic Hollywood cadence. Everybody talking in the very, I can't do it, but the way that everybody delivers their lines in this movie is like they're not having a conversation, they're just saying them one after the other. Yeah, it's like a stage show. There's no pause for anybody to like reflect on the thing the previous person said at all.
Starting point is 00:07:25 And there are entire conversations where it's like, I didn't even understand any of that because you didn't pause. And also, like, if you're trying to pad the movie, just let them take a breath. Yeah, let the dialogue linger a little bit. Yeah. So I think that's why I like this movie. the webbed clawed hand coming up out of the water and then proceeding back down into the water. Same shot. And same shot yeah there was the same shot that was used two times and then also the like da da like the music cue that would
Starting point is 00:07:55 come in every time the creature came it was the same one and I read somewhere and I couldn't find it again to like cite it properly but that they liked that music cue and so they just made the the the the the the th the th the the th the th the the the th. the the the th. th. the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. I the. I the. the the. I the. I the the. the. I the the the same. the. the. the. the. the. the same same same same same same same same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. I I I I the same. I the same. I the they. I they. I was. I was they. I'm they. the. the. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. they just made them put it in a bunch of times. So they put it in like 35 times or something. Yeah, I read that too. The exact same music cue. It sticks with you. Yeah, yeah, sure. And it's a kind of a classic so I figured it would be a good reprieve from the 2000s. Yeah, it definitely was. And it's only the second classic universal movie we've done. Like we did, right. Bride of Frankenstein and this, which is kind of a low-level classic. And this is one of the last ones, I think.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Yeah, and I think this is considered to be the last one. Yeah, yeah. Because the sequels to this are not not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, not, the, the, th, the, th, the, the, the, th, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, right, right, the, right, right, right, the, right, right, the, right, the, right, right, the, right, the, right, the, the, the, the, the, the, they were made immediately too. Yeah, they're fun. Oh yeah. Like in the same way that this movie is. But they're not of the same caliber. What are their names, do you know? Oh, no, I don't know. Because wasn't there one? There was a revenge of the creature of that. I think that they did. Yeah, because Clint, I actually watched a clip of that because Clint Eastwood, it
Starting point is 00:09:06 was his first film role, was as like a nerdy lab assistant. I don't think I knew that. And so I watched like that segment of the mystery signs. Yeah. I kept waiting for a scene where the creature, or Okay, okay. That was like, oh, that was in mystery science theater. That wasn't in this actual movie. There's the creature walks among us. Is the love? No. So a creature just like it's a job in the city, like carrying a briefcase? How you're doing, Bob? I like that. That I would watch. If you want to do the synopsis of the general plot of the movie, was that they found, they
Starting point is 00:09:46 found like a fossilized, clawed, webbed hand sticking out of a cliff. Who was it? Just sticking out of a cliff and they just ripped it on the cliff and walked away with it. And then took it back to their research lab in the state, I guess, put together an expedition with their whoever was in the room the room the room the room the room....... And, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thiiii. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi? And, their, their, thi. And, thi, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi, thi, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, toge. And, toge. And, toge. And, toge. And, the. And, they's, thea. And, they. And, the. And, the. And, the states, I guess, put together an expedition with their... Of whoever was in the room at the time? Yes. How about you? You, girl. Dave, Mark, Jimmy, let's go. Let's go. Q, lady friend.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Yeah, lab assistant slash girlfriend is, you know, a great... Oh, I'm so furious her treatment as a scientist and a woman in this movie. So bad. And so they they decide, they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd their their their their their their their their their their their their their the decided to go back and then they can't find, they go back to the cliff side that they had ripped this hand out of. The rest of the fossil's not there, which I didn't understand why they didn't. And the men they left guarding it are dead and they're like, uh, RIP Luis like. Yeah, they couldn't find the fossil, but I thought that was really implausible because it was sticking it was like the forum was sticking out of the cliff so the rest of it ought to have been in the cliff and I don't remember them like discussing having if I can be this movie for a second
Starting point is 00:10:49 you're a lady so let me explain you what's about to happen this movie does not stand up to a 2017 sensibilities gosh no it really doesn't so the captain you know I guess they've surmised that maybe the river has washed it downstream. Why? What part of it? Because that hand was holding the rest of it. And you know how erosion works where it just happens all at once? I'm a woman so I don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:15 Well, let me explain roses to you. I got rosin. I know what that's going on with that. How about how evolution works where you have the fossilized claw hand sticking out of the cliff and then the exact same hand is coming up out of the creek? Yeah. And they're like, oh, this is the hand of one of these things, but yet there can only be one the lagoon. We just need to get that one.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Just that one. There's only one. Yeah. They surmise that it that it the last. It the last. It's the last. the last. It's the last. the last. th is. th is. thi. thi. thi. thi. the last. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. thi. the thi. the the the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the the the the the the the the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. thea. thea. the same. the's the last living one like we're in. Why must be the last living one? Yeah. And the captain warns him that they shouldn't go down to the Black Lagoon because nobody's ever returned from their lives. They don't fucking care. They're so clever here about it. I was like, what stereotype is this captain?
Starting point is 00:11:55 I love him so much. He's so good though. Yeah, he's like a simple fisherman, but also the smartest person in this moving. Right, and he's got this steam ship that he can just take down the river. Oh, you mean the one was the lab and the dark room? Yeah. And there's a, I think, a medical facility as well. But that's good. That's really convenient. That is, you know, cruising down some no-name creek in the middle of the Amazon to a lagoon and then once they get there
Starting point is 00:12:25 everything just goes to hell. And yeah in the like slowest way possible. Yeah there's a lot of swimming when I read the synapses it was that the you know K goes for this very long swim she does they definitely don't cut any of and she just loves swimming and she loves the water so much. It seemed to me like a ballet performance, where you're emoting with your body. That is sort of a terrifying, oh, sorry, good. When the creature is like lurking below her, and then she's, the legs are dangling.
Starting point is 00:12:59 And like, yeah, that is, that's the scary part of the movie. Okay, no, I do remember another. Because he's an underwater creep. He's just under there like, hey, what's she doing up there? Upskirting basically. Yeah, yeah, so he's, he apparently becomes infatuated with her, which is not really any way that you can tell that, but... Well, he goes, blah.
Starting point is 00:13:21 The fishman gap on land was, uh... So good. I forgot that. I forgot about that part of it. Yeah, like a guppy. Well, it's probably because she's made up so well because she spends all of her time in the Amazon doing her hair, apparently. It is fucking perfect. It's spot on. Yeah, very good hair. Very good hair. Yeah, we're supposed to pack so heartily for this trib. Yeah, everybody else is wearing like clothes that you would expect and she's, I guess I forgot
Starting point is 00:13:50 that at any point she was wearing like trousers and a skirt. Yeah. I thought that she was in a bathing suit the entire time. There was like a sweater, shirt combo in Amazon. I was like what's going on here? No. That's too much. Your man friend has been in shorts the entire time. Just swim trunks. Yeah. Flexing. Just doing that, that's Sam Neal suck in your gut. That, so you can tell him fit. Yeah, they all had that.
Starting point is 00:14:12 They all had that. I do like when the doctor that finds them at the beginning, is like basically like, you don't look like, you don't like, th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. to, to, to. to. to. to, that, that, that, that, that, that's, that, that, that, that, that, that, that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, th. the, the, to, the to, the to, the the to, th. the. the t the. t t te. to. te. te. te. te. to. to. te. to. to. t. t. t. t t t Park totally ripped off this opening setup of like the eccentric doctor wearing the Panama hat, finding the couple with the ambiguous sexual relationship to come and look for this weird shit. Yeah. I was like Jurassic Park, I saw this. I spent I think the first third of the movie or so thinking that there was like a love triangle going on between brown hair, blonde hair, and K. Yeah, but there was but it was a triangle that
Starting point is 00:14:49 I guess it was just an angle because it was not just one way. Kay was not committing to the blondie. Blondie was into K. That's her boss I think right. I believe so. Yeah, somebody's boss. Yeah, somebody's boss. Yeah, and then, but he was like digging on her as well as her boyfriend Okay, was not reciprocating a blondie, but she and it was a love angle Brown brown brown hair were yeah, yeah, they were they were they were gonna get married to tot's making it Yeah, it took me a really long time to understand that I was not getting the difference between those two characters like like I thin' thi, like I the I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I was also slightly drunk when I was watching this movie. It was the best way to tour. There are several male characters in this movie that all seem like the same guy. Like the guy who gets wrapped up in bandages later and they're like if an infection is inside
Starting point is 00:15:33 and he'll be okay. I was like, who is he. In my note, I just wrote, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, the the the the the the the the the the the the th, the th... th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. name. Yeah, I think, okay, it's Antonio Moreno played Carl Maya, who is the leader of the expedition. He's the older fellow.
Starting point is 00:16:09 The guy with the pan of my hat. Yeah, yeah, and the mustache. And he, according to hit the Rotten Tomatoes page, like many pioneer movie players, Marino found a star waning in the early 20s until the arrival of Rudolph Valentino created a demand in Hollywood for the Latin lover types. Oh. But I don't really remember that from the movie. He was not sexy. Um, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:30 He's not the one who is shirtless the entire time, so. Yeah. Well, you think it to the Gilman? Is that the other guy that you're fond of this expedition that are basically there to die. Right. Yeah. And then later like nobody cares that they're dead? No, they don't really care that those guys are dead or that that Lucas's guys are all dead. She like late in the movie when he's David's like, I'm going back in the water or whatever. She's like, yeah because what we need is two martyrs because Mark is already killed. Yeah. he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is he is th. It's not just about you. Yeah, but I mean, on the hierarchy. She just cares about Mark. The main like, what's the word? Conflict? Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:15 It's between brown hair and blonde hair over whether they're going to like kill the creature or let it alone, like I guess whether they leave or whether they kill the creature and bring it back. Yeah, they're having a very difficult time with what evidence is, like whether they can get a photograph or they need its body. Right. I was reading in a John Landis's monsters and his summation of it is it's basically like white people going in and fucking up an indigenous people. Sure. And I was also like reading some stuff where like kind of compared this movie to King Kong of like white people going down like to do a thing and then just like, oh, we'll just take that thing back
Starting point is 00:17:52 to where we came from. And like how it's kind of has like some racial overtones to it as well of like the native person coming in and stealing the white woman and all that stuff. Oh yeah. Anytime there's a white woman getting carried away by a monster, that's probably a, uh, a parable for something. Some racist-ass shit? Yeah, yeah. But yeah, the main conflict is between Mark and David,
Starting point is 00:18:16 and which one of them is gonna be the winning scientists kill it or just be like, come on guy? And to be fine guy, guy, I don't don't know about you guys. Did they kill the fishman? They killed the fishman anyway. They killed the fishman, yeah. Spoiler's for, or do they? No, I, I don't. How's he going to get that revenge? Yeah, well, the whole thing was sets up any amount of, like,
Starting point is 00:18:47 I mean, he straight up comes in and kills. Like, I think he's supposed to be sympathetic, but he's been murderous. He's been murderous. He killed Luis for no reason I felt. Right. And Louise's friend. He was guarding the, like, because he watched them take the hand. It wasn't anybody. It wasn't anybody's hand. Unless he has been alive since that creature died.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Why did you take Bobby's hand, man? Come on ahead. I was going to get that. Yeah, maybe he'd been like shizzling it away. Maybe that's how it came to be sticking out. I don't know. Maybe that's a bride of creature of the Black Lagoon. I think it might have been bride get to the Black Lagoon, there's a lot of swimming. Then there's a lot of shots of the creature,
Starting point is 00:19:28 creature coming on the boat, creature killing people, creature walking around on land, which is hilarious. He looks so uncool, like walking around with those flippers. How do you feel about, do you think he looks cool? Is he cool looking like? If he could close, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the c, the c, the c, the c, the c, the c, to, to, the cut, the cut, the cut, th, th, th, th, th, th. If he could close his mouth I think he goes Oh, oh, oh Uh, he could they took the fish a little too literally when they were designing his mouth.
Starting point is 00:19:57 But the rest of him was cool looking plates. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, and the articulation in his tum I was reading that the guy who played played the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the creature the the the the tho th. tho tho th. the. he coo cout. hea. hea. hea. hea. he he he he he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. th. he. te. te. he. he. te. he. he he he c. he he he. he. he. then, the articulation in his tum. I was reading that the guy who played the creature underwater and the guy who played the creature on land were two different people and they were several inches different in heights. They had to add like another layer, like there's, I don't know, another layer of plates around the creature on the one, And that was mostly what I... If you came for hand. Oh, if I had not forgotten my notes here, I would show you that half of my notes are just like, yes, claw!
Starting point is 00:20:31 Like with a lot of exclamation point. Creature looks a lot better in black and white, I would like to say. For sure. Yeah. It's really not good in color. by a woman who has the most magnificent first name, which is Millicent. Oh, that's a great name. Millicent Patrick. And apparently the other guy who did the makeup just took the credit for it. He was like, oh yeah, Lady Designs. I got this.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Oh yeah, that's mine. Yeah. That's not surprising for this movie either. So I wanted to give a Millicent Patrick a little shout out, a little, a little, a little, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a little, a little, a, a little, a, and a little, and a little, and a little, and a little, and a little, and a little, and a little, and a little, and a little, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, and a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a.a, a.a, a.a, a.a, a.a, a.a, a.a, a.a, a.a, a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a, a.a, a. tha, a.a, she did her thing. Millicent. It's a good name. That is a good name. Strong name. It does sound like a measurement though. Just move that a Millicent over there. We'll be fine. I did wonder why no one was yelling, get the fuck out of the water. There's fish in there that will swim up your peah. Oh. Do you know what the candira fish? Tell me. Yeah, I mean, they're parasites. They get on there and they just hang out near Eurethra. There were, thankfully, no other animals living in any part of this water. Well, there were some fish that got drugged.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Remember, they were like just floating on the surface. Yeah. So much fish paralyzer. I have, like, here's a're peahole shaped, which is horrifying. Yeah, I like the one of the Google related searches is urethrum. Now I'm looking at that. Oh, there it is. It's in this pea hole. Oh, God. You know what that?
Starting point is 00:22:16 They circled it in case you can't tell the where the fish is in that pee hole. That's horrifying. But also, th th th th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, I thu, I thu, I thu, I thu, I thu, I thu, the, tho, the, thu, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, thu. I thu. I'm, the. It, thea, theat, thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, threath. It, thr, thrue, don't swim in the fucking Amazon. Don't, no. But also, like, Lucas is like, I have this drug. I use it to catch fish. And the scientists are like, back off. We use the drugs now. We know how to do this. Like, he's just like, oh, right. Then, uh.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Well, I guess so. Yeah. I mean, I that that was the thing that I found funniest was just the phrase fish paralyzer. Do you either of you watch Archer? I have not. In that show they often use fish paralyzer as tranquilizer on people. Oh really? And it's it cracks me up every time. So then when I was watching this movie it was like, fish paralyzer. But doesn't paralyze the creature from the black Lagoon. It's not effective against creatures. It kind of slows him down. When it slows him down, it does not slow David down. So it must only work on fishmen or fish. It's so many dead fish when they kill him. I think they're stunned. He does make a point of saying that they wake up with a hangover. They have a hangover. Not fish, killer. They're fine. It's just a weird thing to have a specific species
Starting point is 00:23:27 paralyzer. Well, you probably don't understand because you're a woman. And maybe you should just be resting and you're too far from the boat. You're so far out there. K. Stay back, K. You stay over here. We're going to go investigate. She's along in the expedition. The idea of like keeping her safe by keeping her separated and over there. And the one of the nondescript doctors is giving her that pep talk in the lounge area of the arena. Okay. Where he's like, Mark only has done so well because of all of your advances, all of your hard work has gotten him where he is. but no, because you don't let her do anything. Well, behind every man is a strong woman, right?
Starting point is 00:24:07 Sure, I guess so, yeah. Right. When they're done. They're like, enough of this prep talk, and he burst in, which I really liked. Oh, because he was behind, it. Was that when he was like, when he was like, when he back to the period of time where no matter where you were hitting your body, when you needed to get well, they just wrapped your entire body. Close it up. I do like when they were dropping the rotanone, the poison into the water, it just looked
Starting point is 00:24:34 like giant alka-selter tablets. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, the riverover so maybe that's a, I don't know. They were trying one on. The captain maybe also wakes up with the hangover a lot of the time at least it seems like how he was played. Lucas like his tiple. Like throw one back every once in a while. And by these lines. Why should I? There's no way that I'm going to be doing that. I guess the problem with this movie is that nobody's ever looking for the creature.
Starting point is 00:25:11 No. He's always sneaking up on them. And why? He's a giant fishman. Right. He has to jump on them the entire time. Every time he keeps doing it too he's like I'm leaving I will be back like the really tense like there's a lot of really tense winching scenes yeah I don't which jaws rips off oh really yeah yeah did jaws use the same oh when they're like so that's the
Starting point is 00:25:32 the the wooden arm the crane thing it's the thing that pulls the rope back okay okay okay so like they have a net that they accidentally catch the the try to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the is is the is the is the is te is te is tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea the the the the the the the the the's trying to get out and they're trying to winch it. And it's like the sound effects that were being used were railroad train, whistles. That's why I was confused. I didn't know what a winch did. And like crashing cars and all these other things that didn't seem to be the proper sound effect. So were a person not to it, the very least. This was made in 1954, aka The Year of the Winch. They loved winching back then. Everybody winched all the time.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Yeah, swimming, swimming, winching, winching, winching. That was my notes. Claw. Lurking. He spent so much time like in the seaweed at the bottom of the Amazon. Have you guys ever watched a nature documentary about the Amazon, the, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, the, the, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thin, thing, thing, th, th, thing, thin, th, thin, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thin, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th., th th thin thin thin thin thin thin thin, thin, thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooing the the the the th Amazon? It's not clear water. It's the muddiest shit on earth. It's just so muddy. That was another complaint that I had. And again, yeah, it's like this doesn't hold up to any... I feel like this is one of those movies that if you're like,

It's a paradise that no one ever comes back from. And that's how you know about it, Lucas. And they're like, well, it's getting the water and everyone's like, mm-hmm, get the aquilong. And they make such a big deal out of them coming up so they don't get the bends. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It doesn't know. It doesn't. It's. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. You know, it's kind of like fathoms to be an issue. So the Gilman steals Kay. Gilman steals Kay very easily because she falls down immediately.
Starting point is 00:27:11 She doesn't get even a single step before she falls down. I don't know if you guys know this about lady legs, but if they get chased, they just stop working. Oh my god. They get all noodle. I'm just like, I'm. Even when it comes out or later, instead of like putting up her hands away from her, she just hugs herself? Yeah, like, be defensive inside. Like, you wouldn't even instinctively hug yourself. That's not what you would instinctively put your hands up. Like, yeah. It's just wrong. Oh God, oh God. And he somehow knocks her out. There's absolutely no blood in this movie. There's no actual like violence that seems to happen.
Starting point is 00:27:49 The fishman gets shot with a spear gun. Fishman gets shot with the spear gun many times. Doesn't bleed. Do fish have blood, Emily? Are you a hot ichthyologist? I know. No, I'm not. So Mark has found the Gilman's cave and he's like remembers where it is to go find Kay. So my favorite character in the
Starting point is 00:28:10 movie shows up. Fat bat. Fat. Fat. Fat. He walks into the cave and this chubby bat comes flying out. It was just like a rotund bat. The creature goes out first, and I just had this amazing vision of creature getting in the boat and sailing away and leaving them, which would have been the perfect ending to the same thing. It would have been him and Fat taken all the game out of here. And Lucas is like, ah, my boat! He was the Amazon Italian, wasn't the one profile that actor was, he had indeterminate ethnic features and a gift for dialects.
Starting point is 00:29:05 He could play a Spaniard, a Greek, a Portuguese, an Italian, an Arab, and even on radio at least, an African American. Oh boy. But he was actually born in Fresno. So I guess a Portuguese is close enough to a Brazilian. Sure. That's true. You're right.
Starting point is 00:29:23 I loved him. Little less than how they know that I know that I know that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that he that that that that that that that he that he that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th. th. th. th. th. I loved him. I did love him. A little less now than they know that he played an African-American on a radio, but different times, right? Look, the man was born in 1905. These things are not his fault. It's the society's fault. So they quickly do away and the arrows just get stuck in him that he doesn't
Starting point is 00:29:45 really seem to take on anti-damage. He's millions of years old. And then he just falls into the lagoon and title scenes, right? Title card? Yeah, sad music title card. Yeah, sad music title card. Are we supposed to be sad that he's dead. I don't care for him. Disappointed that he was more like a disappointment of like, oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Yeah, this is it? Yeah, he didn't have like if he had, I don't know, saved someone from drowning and then he got brutally shot with a spear gun and killed, like that would have established something, but it was like he had killed a bunch of people, he absconded with Kay. Yeah. He doesn't have his King Kong moment where he becomes a sympathetic character. No. Yeah, he's not Frankenstein, he's not the Wolfman, which are both sympathetic. There's not really any character development of anybody in this movie.
Starting point is 00:30:34 No. He really gets to know Kaye. No, you don't. He's just so pretty, though. She just really should be resting. She should just really stay over there, Kay. And everything she does is wrong, like when she walks into the um Rita lounge and the guard is sleeping with a gun in his hand, she's like, hey, like don't startle the guard with the gun. He almost shoots her. Like, it's just everything she does is wrong and it makes me upset. She was a scientist, right?
Starting point is 00:31:02 Yeah. Scient Scientists slash girlfriend. It seemed like they were making her lean heavier on the girlfriend than the scientist, though. Lab assistance, slash, girlfriend. So that's a creature from the black guy one? Also, I didn't think the Devonian period was a real time. Is it? It is? I like clicked on the link in the Wikipedia, I expect it to be fictional and it's real, which was like a little disappointing.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Was it known for its fishmen? I don't know. Was it Devonian era is one that's like right before the current era, I think? Really? I think maybe? I don't know. Let me click it again. It's 419.2 to 1.1. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. It's. to. It's. to. It's. to. It's. It's, th. th. to. to. to. It's, to. to. to. to. to. to. th. It's part of the Paleozoic period. What do you now?
Starting point is 00:31:48 Well, there's some debate about that, but we don't need to go into that because I don't know. I feel like I'm being extremely ignorant in this episode. Like, I also didn't think the lungfish was real, but... Oh yeah, yeah. Well, the way they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they assholes. Like, maybe he doesn't want to get out on the land. It's got his weird legs, the little Jimmy legs that it has when it comes out of the water. They're so creepy.
Starting point is 00:32:09 It's doing this, though. It's living its life. Leave it alone. Yeah. I guess that's for him in the first place. They were just looking for that fossil. Yeah. If he had just given the rest of Bobby's body up and let them go away from it. Doesn't make any sense. Plus, how were they going to fight those fossils
Starting point is 00:32:31 at the bottom of the goddamn Amazon? Plus, he just basically traps in therethey're trying to like get the rope around that to lift the things out of the way. And that's when they make the Gilman groggy, but it doesn't make David groggy. No. I guess because the Aqualong? Maybe. Oh yeah I guess that well. No. No. Every time you say Aqualong the Jethrook song starts in my head. Oh yeah. But he, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. their. their th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the. the. the. the, the, the. the. the, the, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. the. th. the. th ends with Jack Donnie singing that song. Oh yeah. Yeah, but like the first line he's like sitting on a park bench and then the second line he goes I don't know the words except park bench and that's how the episode. Sitting on a park bench and then the rest of the song. Yeah, meow meow meow. Maybe I'll figure out how to drop that in here if I'm editing.
Starting point is 00:33:25 I probably won't. Just do your meow-m-mium-el version of it. But you have to do it up on one leg. Like the guy from Jethroatelle plays the flute guy. All right, do we want to move on to the ratings? Oh, excellent use of that. Hey, guys, I showed, I that. Fishman. Hey guys, I showed up for the ratings for me. And it's me Fat-Bad, I came by you. I feel like I didn't say Fat-Bad. I'm really disappointed. I think that at the beginning of
Starting point is 00:33:53 the movie, there's some really good, like a really good score that plays over the title. Sure. And it's got good strings and some tension to it. And I was, you know, sitting next to Dave to Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave to Dave to Dave to Dave to Dave to Dave to Dave and Dave to Dave to Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave and Dave, to it and I was you know sitting next to Dave and he goes What if this is the most terrifying part of this movie? But he was joking but it was actually true. Oh no just you see that winching scene though? The winching scene was most tense part of the I just agree because I find that scene of the when she's swimming under you and you're just like blissfully swimming along, this is why I'm fucking afraid of water, right? Because you don't know what's down there, there's monsters, there's dinosaurs, there's dinosaurs,
Starting point is 00:34:29 you don't know. I don't like swimming in lakes. I don't like swimming in the lakes or where there's like weird, slimy, segras on the bottom or anything like that. So we there there there there there there's there's there's there's look you can see your enemies and it's amazing it's all full of enemies yeah yeah she was just loving that water and I do find that genuinely terrifying but then it goes on for like six to eight minutes I would say yeah yeah she's a good ass swimmer though it's not even her it's not her at no it's not her it's no me it's an actual swimming yeah yeah the woman the woman woman woman woman woman woman woman woman the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's the woman it's not the woman it's not the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th the th is is no th is no th is no the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. the the the the the the the is no the the is no the the. I mean, the woman who dives into the water is clearly blonde. She dives into the water and she's like, oh, okay, come on.
Starting point is 00:35:08 They're like, well, we can't get a wig. It's gonna get wet. You want a waterproof wig that's gonna cost you extra. Well, you brought us this movie. Yes. I don't know. No, this is your fault. You rate this. Yeah, you did this. All right, fine. I think I could give this movie like a sex.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Okay. I didn't like it as much as I thought I were liked liking it. And I think that that's part of my problem here was that I think I also watched it with. Not to pick on Dave, he fell asleep halfway through this movie. So I didn't really have somebody to like cut up on it with. And I think that's what I remember from the last time of like having a good time and watching it with somebody who was also like, you know, in the same mindset. Yeah, no, it was a slow, it was a slow movie, it was like kind of quiet. Oh, I totally fell asleep during this movie. Yeah. It was just a lot of like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.................................................................................................................................. the. the. the. the.. th. really it. And I think it looked really nice. Oh yeah. And the underwater, like the scenes where the creature and I guess either Mark or David,
Starting point is 00:36:12 Mark slash David were swimming were like really cool, like underwater kind of acrobatic, you know, spinning around each other, like rappling onto each other. Like I liked that, but it was a small portion of a very long. This wasn't a long movie, but there wasn't a lot the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the scenes the scenes the scenes the scenes the scenes the scenes the scenes. the scenes. the scenes. the s scenes. the scenes the s scenes. Like I liked that, but it was a small portion of a very long, this wasn't a long movie, but there wasn't a lot of content to it either. It was like patted out, but it just could have been patted differently. Like with pauses between sentences and character development. Character development would have really helped.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I told you before Emily got here that despite this movie being 79 minutes then th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It was th. th. th. th. the. the. the. thin, th. th. thin, th. th. th. thin, th. th. th. th. thin, th. th. th. th. th. th.. I told you before Emily got here that despite this movie being 79 minutes long I watched it in three parts. I had to keep leaving and coming back to it. Not because it's that slow or that boring but I just kept being like all right ten more minutes and then you can take a break. Although of movies we've done again we've seen the way worse. Sure. This is a really it is is a beautiful movie, but porque, it gets treated like garbage. The male characters are all interchangeable, even though I'm supposed to believe them as being heroes. The only person I care about is Lucas.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Um, I'm also going to give it a six. I think that's a fair rating for this movie. You have to give it better than unfriended by more than 0.5. You know, there's just, I mean, we've been working with this scale for so long. It's just, I, it means nothing. It means nothing. Yeah. One of the new graphs that I made was of your, like, are I adjusted and I added a trend line. Oh my God. If you look at it chronologically,
Starting point is 00:37:45 like you put all the movies in chronological order and then you do a trend line, like, Alan's trend line sinks over the course of time. And Katie's trend line like is more or less flat, but it's a slight incline toward the side. So I'm getting more miserable as this goes on? Yeah, like you're... The movie's in chronological order. Oh, okay, I'm sorry, okay, got you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, no, no, if you put it in order by episode date, it's just like chaos.
Starting point is 00:38:10 You can probably tell the ups and downs of our lives. Yeah, there's been some weird times where the man next door to me masturbated all the time and I was just listening and I was just listening and the thing is like you should be able to masturbate in your own home like the walls were so thin I could just hear it right. And I was watching it. Yeah, right. And so I was watching the movie while this guy just jerks it. And that's why I got a bad rating. So I think these things definitely, you know, there's environmental factors, that's what I'm saying. That's environmental, all right. So, uh, I think for me this movie suffered this time watching it critically. Yeah, it does not hold up to scrutiny. No, but because it is the last of the classic universal universal. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. thi. thi. the the th. th. the th. the the their, the the their, their their their their their their their there's environmental, there's environmental, there's, there's, there's, there's, there's, there's, there's, there's, there's, there's, their. their. their. their. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's, their. It's, their. It's environmental. It's, their, their, their. It's environmental. It's environmental. It's, their. It's environmental. It's environmental. It's, the their. It's environmental. It's environmental. It's, the the their. It's, their. It's, the last of the classic universal movies, I'm going to give it a seven. I'm going to bump it up. Fat Bat really said it over the edgewoman. I can't believe no
Starting point is 00:39:07 one else noticed Fat. I think I'm just always looking for the chubby guy in the movie and I found him in a bat. Oh, excuse me, I'm Fat. Um, and I really love the design of the Gilman. I think it looks cool and the revamping of of him of him of him of him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him. the the the the the the the the the th. the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the the the the the the th. the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, fat. t. the. the. the the the the the the the the. the's. the's really. the. the.. I think it looks cool. I think it looks cool in the revamping of him in the Monster Squad. But he's also like he's a mummy level character of like, oh dude, you can totally run away from that guy. Yeah. Yeah. Only just steal a Twinkie in that movie, you know? Like all of his attack, I land, which is, he's just, he's just, he's just, he's one's environment.
Starting point is 00:39:48 He had a really good swimmer playing him underwater, but you know, I think that also his, his design was such that like it was the web fingers and the claws, like he couldn't actually grab anything. Yeah, it was two catchers mitts. Yeah, his hands were in to put his hands together, it was like, yeah, it was catcher mitts. Yeah. Not a dangerous man, the creature from the Black Lagoon. Unless you're K. Unless you got them noodle legs. Yeah, easily foiled. Always allain, always announcing himself with his hand. He's not a great bad guy. he's not a great, the tau-aunda. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the the their, their, their, their, the the the the the the the the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the creature, the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the the the the thre-n-n-n-n't the the the threa. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the creatures the creatures, the creatures, the creatures, right back down. Yeah. So he's not a great bad guy and he's not a great sympathetic character. So.
Starting point is 00:40:26 There's a remake that has been trying to be developed since 19802. Oh, no. They've been trying to do a remake since 1982. That's longer than I've been alive. That's longer than I've also been alive. Me too. Yeah, love life. And there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's their their their their their their. they. they. they's. they's. they's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's that's that's. I's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. I's that's that's that's that's that's that's. I's. I's that's that's that's. I's that's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's that's that's that's that's that's try. I've trying. I've trying. I've try. I've trying. I've try. I've trying. I've that's been that's been that's that been trying to work on it and they're, and now like, you know, it started with, oh, John Carpenter was going to do a remake.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Sure. That did happen. I would legally have to. I'm legally have to. I'm to be involved. So, you know on the movie. So, she's like, I'm K, I'm K. I'm going to be K. She's going to play everybody.
Starting point is 00:41:10 Yeah. That's crazy. I can't believe, I mean, it seems like everything gets remade, so why not this? It's true. They're already remaking the mummy. Brendan Frazier. The Brendan. Yeah, and now they're doing it with Tom Cruise. Oh, yeah, he's in that new movie. Oh, I saw a trailer for it It looks just truly, yeah, the mummy the mummy they're redoing the Brendan Frazier mummy or a different mummy? Well, I mean, it's just the mummy. Okay, another variation of the mission and mummy possible. Okay, another variation of? Yeah, the the the variation of? Yeah, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. I. I's. the m. I's. I's. I's. I's. I'm. Tom Cruise. Who could if he was playing the mummy? He's just, he's got to be jumping through shit. That's his thing now, jumping through shit, you know?
Starting point is 00:41:51 Wouldn't you if you're Tom Cruise? He's a tiny man can jump through anything. I feel like I'm significantly larger than he is. I think so. Anyway. Oh, hello. Coming out of that nasty weather. Howling? No, I didn't hear any howling. Let me take your coat.

We are doing, let's go a little further in time to my time. Your time? Your time? 1987. That is your time. We time to my time. Your time? 1987. That is your time. We're going to do the Lost Boys.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Yeah. Yeah. Kiefer Sutherland. Hi, Jason Patrick. The Corrie's. The Corrie's, both of them. Jamie Gertz. Yeah, it's.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Vampires. Dangly earrings. In excess? So much is going on. So much stuff. But yeah, that's what we're going to do next week. It's on, it's on the Amazon's as well. Yeah, you can write that.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I'll see you should have seen that. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe I'll to plug. Yeah. What websites do you like? What websites do I like? I'm looking for some more internet content. If I can notice with you here, yeah. Well, you seem to get down these wormholes, so I feel like you probably have seen things.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Oh gosh, it's just the Wikipedia. the statistics, which is just insane to me. I just, I feel like, I enjoy your show. I mean, that's like, it's, it's, uh, it's fun to listen to. Like, I've seen 10 of the 130 some movies that you guys have done. Wow. Do you like when you, I always want to ask people this. I love spoilers, that's why. I like listening to people talking about things. And I have a very visual job so when I'm at work I can listen to, like when I listen to podcasts but I'm doing sort of more visual work,
Starting point is 00:45:34 it works out pretty well for me. So I've bounced around podcasts for a long time now, just between one and the other. You actually reminded me of Night night veil and I had kind of forgotten about that one so I would come back to night veil we've been trying to hype them we feel like they should get a little more fast I mean they should be as popular as we are for sure yeah I didn't catch your sarcasm there and I was like are a lot of people have heard about. There's this one that I don't know many, not too many people have heard of.
Starting point is 00:46:08 It's called This American Life. Oh, what's this now? I've heard that. Yeah, I listen to this Portuguese life. It's pretty good. Yeah, it's there's not a lot of people. us on the internet, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, you can email us and leave us a review on the iTunes. On the iTunes. There's nowhere else to review us, is it?
Starting point is 00:46:28 Yeah, and if you find the place else to review us. What's their monopoly on this? Yeah, what are they doing? Oh, God, Steve Job. And then come back next week for listening to another episode of Worm Wolf Ambulance. Bye. Bye.
