Starting point is 00:00:00 What if this movie had just taken a turn where they actually just fell in love over a mutual love of mannequins? That seems like a thing that could happen, right? It does. What if Kim Control? Yeah, or Christie Swanson because remember Christy Swanson also. But no. No, nobody falls in love. Well, what is love? Baby don't don't hurt me no more. Yeah. Hi guys. Hey, oh hey to them. Hey guys. You're listening to another episode of Warwolf Ambulance? I'm Katie. I'm Alan. We're here to talk about a movie, starring Elijah Woods, Maniac from 2012. A remake of 1980s, Maniac. I never saw that. It's a goodie. Is it? I mean, it's better than this movie. This movie is just an extra long episode of criminal minds, right? Does criminal minds hate thi. I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I the th. I the to, to to to to to to to to to to to the that the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I. I. I. I, th. I. I. I. I. I. I, th. I. I? I? I? I. I? I? I? I? I th. I th. I th. I the. I the? I the? I the? I the. the. theat theat the theat the the theat the that that that that that that that that to that that that the. I movie is just an extra long episode of criminal minds, right? Does criminal minds hate women with a passion? Yes, I would say so.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Or at least they're always the victims, you know? It's always like a serial killer, kidnapping women, and then there's one we're supposed to care about, and then like maybe they usually find her at the end. I know this because, uh, Nanna loves criminal minds. Hi, Nana. She th. She th. She th. She th. She's th. She's th, th is th is th is th is th is th is thi, thi, th is thi, thi, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. Does thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi her at the end. I know this because, ah, Nona loves criminal minds. Ah, hi, Nuna. She thinks that nerdy guy is real hunky. Not the hunky black guy, the nerdy guy. She's got a type. Yeah. She looks nerdy guy.
Starting point is 00:01:37 And Johnny Dub. He's a nerd, right? He probably would call himself a nerd since everyone does. And you'd be like, come on. You wear eyeliner and you're in cologne ads. Not that wearing an eye, wearing an eyeliner makes you not a nerd. So much scarves. So much scarves. So much. So much. What's name in this movie is Frank Zito?
Starting point is 00:01:57 Is that the guy's name from the original? It you know, I don't know. It could be. It's written. It's written. It's written. It's written. It's written. It's written. It's written. It's written. It's written. It's written. And it's written. And it's written. And it's written. And it's written. And the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their is. And their is. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. It could be. It's written and stars a guy named Joseph Spinell. That's a much better name for someone who is playing a character named Frank Zito. It's also interesting because Elijah Wood is adorable. He's a tiny little Elijah Wood. I think that's part of it, though. Yeah. But Joseph Spinell is like not. Let me pull a picture of him real quick. I think part of what this movie is trying
Starting point is 00:02:26 to do with Elijah Wood, I'm going to call him Elijah Woods if that's cool. Oh, please do. Okay. Is that he's Frodo. He's the guy from Wilfred. He's so like everybody likes him. You know what I mean? He's like cute, nice guy. And so to turn that into his serial killer turn is like supposed to be extra disturbing, I think? I think so. I also thought it was like Elijah Wood being like, guys, I'm not that guy anymore. Do you think that? I don't know. He just has that baby. He's a man baby. This is Joseph Spinell. Oh, that man looks like my Uncle Johnny, who has a very bad drinking problem. He looks like the 70s. Yeah, yeah, so does Uncle Johnny. So it's a very, the original is a very different movie from this in that respect.
Starting point is 00:03:17 That's not like, oh, women are obviously going to be into this dude. You think, oh, because women are obviously into Elijah Woods? I think so. I don't find him very attractive to be honest. No. I feel like I would just break him, you know? But do you find him like sort of harmless looking in that way? Sure, yeah, you would like if he was walking towards you on the street you wouldn't cross and walk the other way as you do with most men. Exactly. Every time time I get so. the th. Every th. Every th. Every th. Every th. th. th. th. th. th. thi I get thi I get thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th. I would th. I would th. I would just I would just I would just I would just I would just I would just I would just I would just I would just I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would th. I would thi. I would thi. I would thi. I would thi. thi. thi. I theee. I theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I to to to the. I would just the. I would thmed. Well, the movie opens with a dude grabbing that lady's butt. And you're like, yeah, that's a thing that happens. Sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Someone grabbed my butt like three weeks ago downtown, walking into the 7-Eleven on Penn Avenue. I'm pregnant. And I turned around and looked at this guy and I was like, are you serious? He just kept walking. Just grabbed a butt. tap. Two are the worst. It was an old man, too. So you know he does it all the time. He's been doing it forever. And it's funny, right? Because he's an old man, right? Everybody? Not that old enough for it to be like, well, he doesn't know what he's doing. It turns that I liked about this movie.
Starting point is 00:04:26 One, I found the POV stuff to be interesting for a little while. And I liked the soundtrack? Yeah, by Rob. Just just Rob. Not your husband. No, no, he doesn't do a soundtrack. He plays double bass. Feel a lot more thumpy. But yeah, point of view stuff was interesting in the beginning I tho, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, I, I, I was, I was, I was, I was, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I I I I, I, I, I, I, I I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I thi, I thi, I thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, thi, feel a lot more thumpy.
Starting point is 00:04:45 But yeah, point of view stuff was interesting in the beginning I thought because it was like, oh I am complicit in these murders. Yeah, I guess. You found it not to be less so. After a while I was like, I get really bored about that stuff, but you felt like a gimmick? Uh-huh. I liked it. Yeah, I guess after a while I got I I I I got I got I got th. th. th. thi I got th. th. thi I thi I thi I thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. the. toe. the. th after a while I got used to it so I didn't really think about it anymore.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Okay. But then I was reading about how they filmed it and it was like because the rig would be so big it would always be like Elijah Woods right hand and then somebody else's left hand and they'd have to choreograph it which I thought was kind of interesting. Yeah. Originally he was supposed to be on set for like two weeks and then they were like oh no you have to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be the the the the the the the the the the the the the the and then they were like, oh no, you have to be here for the entire movie now. Except they made it in a month. So like, Crimea River, Elijah Woods. Do you want to try and synopsize this thing? Um, yeah, mothers are always at fault and this guy's a Dildo? Is that where we're going? Perfect. Why isn't it always mom's fault? That's all. the f-miolm. M. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thr- thr- thi. thr-like. thr- thr- thr-a. thi. thr-a. thr-a. thr-a. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why. Why? Why? Why. Why. I. I. I's th. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. thri. thri. thri. thri. thri. thri. thri. thri. the the the the thri. the the the the the thri. the the I feel like it's always like this whore mom, you know? That's like the Freudian thing, right? Like it's, it always goes back to your mother. I guess. But yeah, this was, and it also like this borrows from Henry Portrait of a serial killer,
Starting point is 00:05:54 because he saw his mom having sex, and that's what drove him to be a murderer. Which I don't thi th guess now. I'm not a serial killer psychologist. No. No. Not yet. You have watched a lot of criminal minds, though. I have. It's bad.
Starting point is 00:06:13 The first seasons are kind of good. It's just like I wanted it to be law and order, and it isn't because Jack McCoy's not in it. And there's no order, I guess it's just law. And Joe Mantenia is in the awesome of the later seasons. Oh yeah? You know, I like him. He's a great actor. I just found out recently that he had,
Starting point is 00:06:33 oh God, what's it called when you get? An Academy Award. No, half your face goes droopy for a little while. Oh, a stroke? No, not a palsy. Paralysis. It's a virus that I can't, I I I I I I can't, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's a th, it's a th, it's a virus, it's a virus, it's a th, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I'm, th. th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Palsy? No, not a palsy. Paralysis? It's a virus that, I can't remember what it's called though. Oh, never mind. We'll get better soon, Joe Mantena. Is he better? He is, but his face is still slightly druppy.
Starting point is 00:06:54 You don't notice it until someone points it out. And you're like, oh shit, work. I mean, it's not stopping him from making and for being great films such as Thinner. Oh God. Go back and listen to the Thinner episode because he's really good in that movie. Is like, I was gonna say Fat Tony, but that's his character in The Simpsons. But it's basically the same character. Yeah. Super Italian. Yeah. But the Italian. Frank Zito. Frank Zedo. Yeah. Elijah Wood is not Frank Zito. That's what's what that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's what I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I'm that's what I'm that's what I'm that's what I'm the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. That's what I'm saying, just give him the new name. Yeah, exactly. We're following a serial killer who's using the internet to kill women. And mannequinize them.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Because he has like a mannequin business, business? Let me ask you a question. Where does this movie take place? Los Angeles. Is it? Yeah. Oh. Weird. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Well, I thought it was in New York. And then they keep talking about going to New York and having things happen in New York. And I was like, is it Jersey City? Like, what? Because she's like, oh, my boyfriend went back to New York as if it was like he'd been there the night before and then he was in New York like I was like what is this what what else is nearby is this it's not Philadelphia it's not what is this two things maybe think it was LA that it didn't seem at all like New York it just didn't feel like New York it was like the streets are too wide and all that stuff and and there's nobody down to the the the they. they. they. they. they. they. I I I I I I's they. I's they. their. It's their. It's their their is their their their is their is their is no their is no their is no their. It's their is no their is no th. It's th. It's th. I've only been to LA once and the only time I saw people downtown was after a
Starting point is 00:08:28 Lakers game and I was like, oh people were basketball jerseys non-ironically in other places. It was very strange. You just reminded me of the weird Pavlovian response that I have to the LA Lakers. What are you familiar with the red hot chili pepper song about the LA Lakers?. the the the Lakers. Lakers. Lakers. Fast break takers, muh, what? Mop, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:08:50 No, sorry, I'm not. I thought maybe like soul to squeeze wasthree of the best musicians that are in a band and Anthony Quedis. And Anthony Quedis and they make the worst music you've ever heard. Yeah. It's bad. They're not good. Yeah. I don't get it. Some, yeah. I think it's good when you're 15. Yeah. And then like some people just lock in and they're like, I'm done. I'm 15 forever this is what I'm gonna like thin th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T th. That's not an aging thing. That's a genetic thing. But I did definitely see the, you know, under the bridge video of Anthony Keat is running in slow motion
Starting point is 00:09:33 when I was like 13 and was like, oh, I'm straight. And now I look back and I look back and I'm like, as a stump. And he's a must-must man now, too. And I was like, you're not supposed to say that. No, he is dumb as a stump, for sure. No, 13, I think I would have had the same feelings. Yeah, except for the upstrait part. Yeah, yeah, I've been a different sentiment for you. Much more confusing. But, also confusing, this movie about being a serial killer. So, it's confusing because the police are investigating these crimes.
Starting point is 00:10:12 He has sent a photo of his real face to one of the victims via a dating site. There's no way he doesn't get caught. He touches everything in everyone's apartment. He's just in a parking garage, like, I mean, he vomited on the floor. And yeah, didn't wipe it up. And yeah. There's just no way, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:33 OK, well, there is, because they don't fucking catch him. They don't catch him until it becomes like a person that other people. they don't catch him. with, which is like incompetent police work. Yeah. You know who would have caught him? Who's that? The criminal minds people. Foil, foil would have had him after the first one. Yeah, he wouldn't even need evidence. He would just know somehow. I was really bummed watching this movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Yeah, I mean, not to jump ahead too far. It's not meant to be fun. Yeah, and I just, there's so much going on right now that's bumming me out. Like, I was like, oh, I'm gonna watch that Keepers documentary. Have you seen this thing? Yeah, I binge watched that. How could you binge watch that? Oh, because I have no feelings anymore.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Everything is just, I'm just't gotten past the first two. The second episode was the worst, I think, for feeling terrible. But let me spoil it for you and spoilers for keepers. If you guys are watching and are planning to, just like, to tune out for a second year. Skip 30 seconds. Skip 30 seconds. I mean, I hate that. I mean, I was that serial podcast for like da da da da da da yeah, but by yeah, and then they were like yeah, we're gonna update you on what's going on but I don't think they ever did Maybe once yeah, yeah, or the thing with the guy that was framed for the murders
Starting point is 00:12:05 Making a murderer. Oh, yeah, I never watched that one. Yeah, it was good. You watch that instead? Okay. You know what I don't? I don't? I you. th. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they they're they they they're they're they're, you know Hulu. I do. Just watch cartoons. It's like, give up. I was going to celebrate something with you. Oh, tell me. It'll be out by the time this podcast drops. Drops? When it hits the streets. Yeah. of the new season of British Bakeoff starts. Oh yeah! I thought I had already seen it, but I haven't already seen it.
Starting point is 00:12:27 This is the last one for us, yeah. The last one with the current crew. And I guess the women are getting other shows, but not their own show to get. Why don't they just put them on a show together? That's so dumb. Everybody likes them. I don't know. Copyrights or something. I don't know how the UK works. How do you, how can we watch us? BBS? Yeah, BBS.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Cool. Guys, don't need to your local PDS station. They need the help. And then just watch Great Bridge pick up. God damn, it makes me so happy. It's so nice to see people You have to pay for the money on Amazon. It's so dumb. Like all the other Nick tunes are on Hulu.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Not Rocko's Modern Life. Yeah. I've never seen it. Oh, it's very funny. Okay. Yeah. I think it was beyond my cartooning time. Anyway, we're really avoiding talking about this movie. So, okay, so he's like killing these ladies. He meets one of them on a dating site.
Starting point is 00:13:30 She looks straight out of MySpace 2002, right? She does. She's like, just hot topic to the tip-top. Even her underpants are hot topic. Also, he has, he scalps them. He scalps these women and he takes their hair and he puts it on mannequins. Right. Why?
Starting point is 00:13:51 To make them the mannequins and now the ladies. I mean, that's from the original, too. Oh, is it? So the mannequin thing is a theme? Does he scalp them? Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. They don't show it so much as they do in this movie. It's very nauseating. This is one of the more nauseating movies we've watched, particularly the final scalping, I felt. For sure. That and the vomiting. I can't stand.
Starting point is 00:14:13 I hate that we've come to a society that just shows everyone vomiting what I mean? I just don't like watching other people do it. No. It's just a... Yeah. So he meets this French lady, Anna, who is also a mannequin enthusiast. She's the worst actress. Is it because she's French? I'm not trying to be racist. Oh, I didn't, I felt that her, um, her agent was an even worse actress.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Fine, but she was not the female lead. She's beautiful. She was gorgeous. I think she was cast mainly for that. She's terrible. Yeah. How do you say terrible in French? Ah, terrible. Okay, Google. How do you say terrible in French? Terrible.
Starting point is 00:15:12 No, you are right. Oh yeah. One more time. Perible. Well, she was peribble. And I'll speak French. I also feel like I should apologize for my laugh. I have a cold and I feel like I sound like a...
Starting point is 00:15:27 You're just husking it up over there. Dying something. That's like, it's like a Gilligan's Island character or something. Three stooges. Yeah, that's what it is. So yeah. This lady's rolling to mannequins too. She's a mannequin artist, wherein she takes photos of mannequins but also does installations of mannequins. Her art seems silly to me.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Her photos were not great. I'm not an artist. I did like the thing with putting her face on the mannequins with the projectors. I thought that was cool. She's got a real shitty boyfriend. Yeah. He's in his movie for about 13 seconds, though, so you like hardly need to know him. But he did point out an interesting thing, I thought, that he is really shitty to Elijah's Woods, and Elijah Woods doesn't do anything about it. But then immediately after, the agent is shitty to him, and she gets murdered. And he like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he. He's immediately immediately immediately immediately immediately immediately after he's a he. He's a he. He's a hea heat. He's a heat. He's heat. He's he. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's, he's, he's, he's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. He's thi. He's gets murdered. He and he like treats are like his mother. He's like calling her mother and being very disgusting. But amidst
Starting point is 00:16:28 all this he's killing random strangers too, like women he just finds on the street I guess. Like that woman who was doing aerial silks. Oh yeah, that what the upper body strength you must have to do that is insane. There's a class in this neighborhood if you want to take it. I the the st. I I I I I the st. I the st. I the st. I the st. I the st. I the st. I the st. I the st. I the st. I the st. I the the the the the the the the they they they th. I th. I don't have that upper body strengths. Well, it's how you get it. Oh, okay, okay. Do they have like a floor portion I get started? Probably. I mean, I imagine there's a beginner's course. Also, she gets out of like the shower.
Starting point is 00:16:54 There's a lot of titties in this. It's very porny. Yes. And she's just, she's just, she's just, she's just, she's just. I was like, are you supposed to do that? Have I been doing it wrong? I'm from a very strange. Yeah, maybe she gets like shave bumps and just gonna knock them down with some lotion. I guess.
Starting point is 00:17:11 This is also, I think a cautionary tale about running in high heels. Don't wear it if you can't run in them. Oh God, yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah, just don't do it. jeans shorts and high heels because it's not a great look anyway. What? Okay. Yeah, I'm just saying it's not a great look. I mean, I mean it's it's an okay look. I think now.
Starting point is 00:17:29 But I guess we have to differ on this one. I just was watching this movie going, oh this is every woman's everyday fears. Yeah. This is just walking outside of the house going to happen to me most likely. Yeah, I I I I I I I I I I I I I this is just this is just this is just this is just is just is just this is just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just this is just just this is just just th. house going, oh, this is what's going to happen to me most likely. Yeah, and I think that's pretty effective. Yeah. As far as like horror goes, because he's like a regular guy, who then murders you. Yeah, you should know from his fingernails, though.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Oh, I didn't really look at them. His knuckles were all busted up, you ask why. You ask yourself why, you don't ask them why. Especially right before you say, do you want to touch him? He's going for your boobies. Yeah. He wasn't even going for her boobies, though. Because I think, is it that he'sthe date seems to have gone like legitimately well. Yeah. You know, they were having a nice conversation at least. Until she's like asked him if he has a girlfriend and then he almost
Starting point is 00:18:33 throws up and has to go to the bathroom for a little while. Yeah, so part of that being his POV is that like you see things flip in and out of focus for him and like sometimes just everyone's looking at him. I donhmm. I don't know why because he's a maniac presumably. Yeah I think it's I guess he's supposed to be like just cracked in some way like he just because he the world just shifts for him from time to time where like he becomes the focus of attention in a room full of people who actually aren't paying any attention to him. Yeah. And they're all laughing at him or just staring at him or whatever and and it's interesting because I wonder like if something triggered him to start killing these women. It's like the first woman we saw him kill, is that the first one? Or has he been doing this for a long time and not getting caught? It's definitely not the first one because the the the mann't the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their the the the the their their their their their he is is is he is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is. their is. the the the the the the the the their is is is is is is is is. is. is. their is. their. their. their. I thought she was the, oh, I see. Right. Oh, right, because there's like flies everywhere.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Right. Come on, Guy. And that's the one that I think is supposed to be as mom? But why? Why would you put your mom in your bed? Editable complex? Because mom ruins everything. And sex on the streets and having a threesome disco orgy which that was pretty funny it's super porny though
Starting point is 00:19:52 yeah this I don't like all that what this is produced by the same and I think written by the same people who did high tension I didn't see that I'm not doing that and the whole attention attention yes to me to ask cool to say yes we have a third host this thi I I I I I I I I I I I I ththat and the the tension ho tension yeah to me to ask google to say yes we have a third host this week okay google how do you say high tension in french attention ah there we go and they did the hills have eyes remake which is also very very bloody okay Google how do you say the hills have eyes in French? La Corina des their. Me in French, doesn't make any sense to me. Language in love.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Spanish, I can get behind. French, I don't know what you're doing. Right now, a lot of our Canadian listeners are like, come on. Guys, I'm American. I don't have to know other things. Did you take a language in high school? Yeah, Spanish. I'm pretty, pretty, I got some words. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:20:51 How do you say high tension in Spanish? Hmm, don't know. Okay, Google. How do you say high tension in Spanish? Tension a alta. I would have come up with it eventually. Well, I would have come up with Alta at least. Your voice, when do you talk to Google, is so nice.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Hey Google? What do you think I should say? Do you think I should be harsher on Google? It's like, they're your bud. You're like, hey, buddy, what's going on? I don't know why. Do you think when you kick, like you start a sentence with okay, like you're already in a good mood. Yeah. Okay, Google. No, just kidding, that wasn't for you.
Starting point is 00:21:31 So yeah, I don't understand why his mother would be in his bed. No, I mean, but I guess this is maniac. This is like, you can just file it all under the subheading of lunatic, you know. I think, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, thi, thi, thi, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, th. Okay, th. Okay, th. Okay, th. Okay, th. Okay, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And, I, I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Okay, th. Okay, th. Okay, th. Okay, th. Okay, I, I, I, I, th. Okay, I, you can just file it all under the subheading of lunatic, you know? I think, and probably to make this movie a little bit more palatable, you have to think of it as this is art and this is supposed to be representational. So the mannequins are representational of his fixation on women. Oh, sure.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Sure. Because when I was watching it, I was just mad. I was just bummed that I was watching it. And I couldn't wait to get to the movie that we're going to do next week. It's just like, yeah. It's so, it's bleak. It's so bleak. Yeah, intentionally so. Sure. Yeah, it's not, this movie is not trying to present a reality that is not horrifying. However, I I I I I I I I I I I I I. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that that, it's just like, th. th. th. It's just like, it's just like, it's just like, it's just like, it's just like, it's just like, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just like, it's just like, yeah, it's just like, it's just like, it's just like, like, like, like, it's just like, like, like, it's just like, it's just like, it's just like, it's just like, it's kicked his ass. Oh yeah, beat the snow. But she doesn't. I mean, she stabs him, but she also runs so slow. Slow jogging Anna.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Fucking pick it up. Is that because you're French? Like, do they not teach you to run in France? She's running so goddamn slow. Now there are riding those bikes, up those big hills. Yeah, you're right. Doing the tour tour. tour tour the tour to yeah. There are so many people in this movie that it should have been able to kick Elijah Wood's ass. Yeah he's a tineman. Yeah no offense to Elijah Wood I'm sure you're sure he knows he's a tiny man he played a Hobbit. He was in Green Street Hooligan so I know he knows how to fight yeah and he took on those ring rights. Mm hmm hmm he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he th he th is th is th is th is th. He th. He th. He th. He was the is the. He th. He th. Yeah, sort of. Did he ever fight them really?
Starting point is 00:23:08 His friends did. Uh, I got stung by a spider, I guess. He was pretty bummed. Yeah, he was pretty bummed. Yeah, he was pretty bummed. He was pretty bummed. He was pretty bummed. He took on McCullocholkin as a child. to. to. to. to. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. toe. toeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Hea have done that instead. It's so tension. What is that movie called? The Good Son? The Good Son? It's really good. Because they're both such good child actors, like, they're both so believably the characters that they're playing.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Yeah. And then there's like that Sophie's choice at the end and you're like, oh fuck. You gotta go Woods, right? I mean, spoilers for spoilers, to go to go to go, to go, to go, to go, to go, to go, to go, the the to go, the to go, to go, the the to go, to go, the the the to go, to go, the to go, to go, to go, to go, the the to go, to go, to go, to go, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, to go, to go, to go, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. It's th. real life, he's just going to do later, better stuff later on in his life, too. Yeah, I mean, did you ever see that part? What's the party move? The, oh, I'm a colleague party monster. Party monster. Get out of here with that. Have you ever seen his band that, what if they cover the velvet underground but change all the lyrics to be about pizza? No, that sounds right up your alley. Like that, uh, what was that band you liked where they
Starting point is 00:24:09 changed all the words to, my dick? Oh, my dick? Yeah. Their version of Baker Street is so fucking good. So good. This movie's kind of hard to talk about, we don't have much to say so we're really just killing killing time tonight. Most we haven't seen each other in a little while we're just catching up and you got just catching up with us. So let's talk about the climax, right? Okay. So I think the most frightening scene is where he's in Anna's apartment and she suddenly realizes that he's the killer, which she puts together because because, they, they, they, they, th, th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thin, thin, thin, thin, th thi, th thi, th th th th th thi, thi, thi, thi, th th th th th th th thi, thi, th thi, thi, th thi, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, is just just, is just, is just just just just, th th th th th th thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, is like, thi. thi. thi. thi. to to thi. t t ttttttttttttogether, tttttogether, together, just, thi. th th t she puts together because he says something like. Well she's talking about her her agent she's like she only had to go and he's like yeah she just had to go three blocks. Yeah which he has a good lie for he says that
Starting point is 00:24:51 he asked her if she wanted to ride as she was leaving. But he he has no game face. But he also said that there were other girls who were killed too which I guess tipped her off. Right he did that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. the the thi. th. th. th. he's he's he's he's he's he's he's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their. their. th. th. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he is he is he's he's he's he's toge. toge. tode. toda. toda. he's. he's. he's. he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's which I guess tiped her off. Right, he did that like, um, that sort of like cozy mystery thing of like, you walk in and you're like, oh, that looks just like the other murder scene. No, who, whoa, who, oh, yeah, it's very, uh, Encyclopedia Brown, like, he knew what the other murders were like. And then her neighbor comes over and he, that's the only time I feel like she's acting well. Yeah. And then her neighbor comes over and he's got those good teeth.
Starting point is 00:25:30 But then he doesn't have those good teeth anymore. Mm-mm, mm-mm. Because he gets a meat cleaver in his choppers. Yeah. The only man that he kills. Yeah, and only out of like sheer necessity. For sure. I forget how he subdues her. I guess he just breaks down the door. Oh, he throws the guy into the door. No, he doesn't. Like, no, you did not, Elijah Woods. Well, now that I'm thinking about it, now that you brought up that there was another guy involved by they were filming it, he had the strength of two men. It was able to throw that guy through the door. It's true. It's the the the the the th. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's the the the th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's thrue. It's thrue. It's thrue. It's thrue. It's thrue. It's thr- It's thr-it. It's thr-I. It's thr-I. It's. It. It. It. It. It's. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thr-I. thrown. thrown. It's thr-I. It's thr-I. It's thr-I. It's thr-I. It's thrown. It's throwing the guy. I do not think so. So she does some slow jogging, which is infuriating. Yeah. And then...
Starting point is 00:26:13 Oh no, I'm sorry. This is after she stabbed him. So he puts her in like the back of his van. His murder van, which is full of mannequin parts. Yeah, as a murder van should be. And she jumps out and stabs him with that hand, which is a pretty good stab right in the stomach. It's very good. And then she's slow jogs. Like if you can't outrun someone you just stabbed with a hand with like a piece of metal attached, you need to work on your cardiovascular fitness. You know what I mean? Or stab him until he's dead. to the thiol. th. their. their. th. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. their. thin, right. thin, right. thi. thin, right. thin, right. th. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. dead. Yeah. As we've driven home before, murder them
Starting point is 00:26:45 till they're done being murdered. But she really does the next best thing, which is to get into a car of a rescuer. Why does it hit that pole? Why? Also, like, if I pick up someone, yeah. And they're like freaking out like she would be. And she's like, hit that guy with your car. I don't th th th th th th th th th th th th th th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I the next. I th. I the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. the next next next next the next next next next the next next next next next the next. And she's like, hit that guy with your car. I don't think I hit him with my car.
Starting point is 00:27:06 You hit in reverse and pull out. I hit it. I don't think I hit him with my car. Because how am I going to explain to my insurance company that this lady told me to? Oh, she told me to, so I hit him with the one who's been stabbed. Yeah. So why, so they hit him with a car? Yeah. And then run it right into a pole. It's a pretty wide alleyway.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I don't know. What? I wish that when it hit the guy in the car to scream like, ouch my coffee or I dropped a cigarette or something. It just felt very like, well, I don't know what to do here, you know. And it should have cut to Elijah Wood, just going, yeah, yeah. So then he runs over and scalps her. Yeah, because she's now dying.
Starting point is 00:27:50 Yeah. I thought that was the end. It's not the end. And then my next note just says, this movie is still on. Well, we should mention that right before she figures out what's going on, Agent has died right killed by Frank. Yeah to Ave Maria Which is just a terrible way to die. Oh god no I did I need to do one more interjection you just reminded me of the worst thing in this fucking movie tell me So when he is with Lucy the first kill the hot topic girl. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, what song does she put on? The horses song from Fucoa Sa Sionthe I love that song. I I I the song. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I that song. I that song. Don't get me wrong. She also says, I love the song.
Starting point is 00:28:25 But if you're doing a serial killer movie in 2012, yeah, don't, don't reference the best serial killer movie. But it's just a hat tip, don't you think? I thought it was a little bit more like, I thought it was like a poke in the ribs. Oh, interesting. I thought it was like saying like, hey, that's the best serial killer movie of all time. I think you're just taking this one personally. I think I really am. Yeah. I feel like, uh... I liked it.
Starting point is 00:28:54 I thought it was a nice little like, ah, crazy guys. All right. So, yeah. And what happens next? It's so fucking gross though! It's so fucking gross. I can't. It takes a really long time. And it's very, since it's POV, you're an arm's length away. And I don't want that. Yeah. I just can't.
Starting point is 00:29:14 You don't like that. I thought you didn't mind the gross stuff, though. I don't. thatl. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. to, th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. tho. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. that. the. tha. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the second closest I've come to vomming during this filming of this podcast. Starting point is 00:29:47 You also almost throw up and I said the worst thing ever that I won't remind you of right now. Say it. I'm here. No, it's, you almost fuked what I said. I will keep it down. Go for it. Cream cheese dressing.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Oh! I only have a few more weeks of this. It's like I have the shittiest superpower. Oh God. Why did you even say that? Oh, you were trying to say frosting. I misspoke. Which seems like delicious. Put that on some red velvet.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Fuck. All right, so this movie's still on at this point. Right. There are like scalpy zombies. Oh, he they thi, th. It th, I. You think you went out and bought a real ring? I'm sure he's gotten one from one of his murder victims or something. Oh, right. Or his mom, maybe?
Starting point is 00:30:55 That's probably his mom's ring. The whore! So this is the redemption scene. Yeah. This is where it all comes around on Big Frank. Big, a little Frank, it's a smallman. You never once called him Little Guido, and this was a perfect opportunity to do so. Because he doesn't look like a Little Guido. Man, I can't even remember what episode Little Guido was from.
Starting point is 00:31:19 That was early. That was in my early days of being sort of racist. God, what was that I was that I I I I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I racist. God, what was that? I can picture the dude. Without warning? No, no, maybe. I would be proven. I know you're going to find out soon, though. We'll be discussing with you later. His imaginary zombie murder victims. He's like, I guess we should say he's been talking to them like they're real people for this whole movie being like, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thiiii thi thi that's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. thi, no. Starting point is 00:31:47 Don't fuck with my girlfriend like why are you bringing other mannequins home then if that one's your girlfriend Frank Cedo Yeah, when he's not yelling about it yelling at himself to how much he hates himself. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you to he. I hate? I hate you. you. you. you. to to to he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he hea hea he. heat. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. I he. to to to to to to to to to to he. he. he. he. he. he. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. much. Oh, he was talking to himself. Yeah, I think, maybe, who knows? I think he's talking to his mom. You may have been talking to me at that point. Or the director of this film, I do not know. So the mannequin ladies come to life and they start ripping Frank apart. They start taunting him. And so then the cops bust in? In like still frame?
Starting point is 00:32:26 Right. And it seems like they only catch him, this is my impression, that they only catch him because it was like a person that he had a relationship with, that other people had seen him with. Which made me mad because it's like, there's so many other ways to catch him.
Starting point is 00:32:41 He's such a dummy. Right. Yeah, and then so there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's the so there's their's their's their's their's their's their's their's their's such a dummy. Right. Yeah. And then so there's this sort of like still seen at the end with the camera going around and showing these cops with guns on Frank's dying body in a closet. I liked that. I liked it okay. It was very awesy. I guess he died because of the being stabbed with the gun wound. Yeah. Not from having his face ripped off, which was also very gross. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you ever do th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the the the the th the the th the the th the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. they. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. the. S. they. S. they. they. S. the. S. the. S. the. S. the. S. the. the. S. S. was also very gross. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you ever do see high tension, like, it's super gross. There's a scene where someone gets beaten the face with a stick wrapped in barbed wire and
Starting point is 00:33:13 they just keep pulling it out and sticking it back in. I don't think I'll see that. Yeah, it's real brutal. Yeah, it's real brutal. So the, yeah, this is, yeah, this is yeah, that's that's it right and then Credits This was like an indie film, right? Yeah, for sure. Made like no god damn money. Oh, really? I made like $30,000. It made like less than it cost me to go to college 15 years ago. I would be surprised if this actually had a theatrical run.
Starting point is 00:33:41 This had it I guess it was released in European theaters. This would be X if it was released in the States like. Because of the scalpings? The violence and then the the the fucking is hard like it's not hardcore but it's definitely soft core. Yeah you definitely see like skin on skin on skin and not in that like I'm all bundled up in sheets and I'm wearing a t-shirt and I'm on top of you humped kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind. side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side side the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. Yeah yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I. I. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm th. I'm th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm like, I'm all bundled up in sheets and I'm wearing a t-shirt and I'm on top of you hump and kind of stuff. Side boob top gunway? Yeah. Yeah. And it's a, it's a movie that has received mixed reviews. Indeed. Yeah. I mean, I think, yeah, are we, are we reviewing? Shall we review? Uh, you want to move to the reviewing phase? Can you ask Google how we say ratings phase? How do you say ratings phase in French? Phase of notation. Phase of notation.
Starting point is 00:34:30 I feel like it's correcting me. Okay, Google. Okay, Google. I don't know why you have to say okay. I think, I don't know. To make sure Google's paying attention. I guess. Where why you have to say okay. I think I don't know. To make sure Google's paying attention. I guess. Where are you at Google? Just reading my emails and then sending me ads, I think.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Talking to the NSA. So Katie, what do you think of this movie? Fas donatation. I didn't hate it. I mean, I think it's well done, it's well made, the point of view is interesting, it's brutal, which is clearly its intent, it accomplishes what it's trying to do. I don't never need to see it again. I will just watch criminal minds, because that's over in like 45 minutes.
Starting point is 00:35:13 No scalpings. No scalping. A girl I went to high school with who was t, yeah. It's because she was a blogger. That's how this show works. I think it's biblical on that shit. Yeah, yeah. And Joe Mantena is like, ugh, I'm Fratoni. And this movie doesn't have Joe Mantenia.
Starting point is 00:35:35 And this movie doesn't have Joe Mantenia. Bell's Palsy. I said, no.. palsy you said now. Well you didn't say the bells paw fine. I'm sorry I need the full name. I also don't think you said now. Hmm Katie okay Katie. Okay Katie what's it called when you get a droopy on one side of your face now I think people should see this if it's if they aren't depressed and if they feel like they want to see something bleak and terrible and people to see things that are bleak and tterable their their their their their their their their th and th and th and their. their. their. th and th. th. their. Sure. Sure. Sure. I. I. I'm. I'm. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I's. I'm. thi. thi. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the the they want to see something bleak and terrible. And people want to see things that are bleak and terrible sometimes. So in that sense I'll give it a six and a half.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Whoa, nice. Yeah. Now I'm never going to see it again. And I'm just going to watch that show where he has the dog friend. Oh, I couldn't watch that. I thrown't watch. I'm. I'm. I'm. I th. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll th. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll thi. I'll thi. I'll thi. I'll thi. I'll thi. I'll the. I'll the. theeea. thea. theea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. I'll thi. I'll thi. that drove me nuts. I like that he's just a nervous weirdo. I have a feeling he is. Yeah, probably. Yeah. But like, aren't you?
Starting point is 00:36:31 Aren't I? Aren't we all? Sure, sure, sure. Maybe that's too close to home. You want your celebrities to be better than you? I just don't want to watch. I do do want to watch to watch to watch to watch to watch to watch to watch. to watch. to watch. to watch. to watch. to watch. to watch. to watch. to to to watch. to to to to to to to to to to too. tooom. tooom. tho. thoom. thoomk. thoomk. thoomk. thoomk. thoom. thoom. thoom. thoom. thoom. thoom. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. tho. th. tho. tho. tho. tho. too. too. tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo do have two dogs in my life. Yeah. Constantly talking to me. What? What?
Starting point is 00:36:47 What are they saying? Hey, do you want to go for a walk? Hey, do you want to go for a walk? Food, food, food, food, food. And the other one says, I'm so fucking scared right now. Yeah, that seems reasonable. I hated this movie with a passion. Yeah. I think I just didn't, like you were saying, sometimes you want something bleak
Starting point is 00:37:08 and I just did not want this. Like, yeah. All of my media intake recently has been miserable. And I need to fix that, because I do that to myself. What else have you been intaking? Oh right, yeah, yeah. Handmaid's tale. I'm just taken a the the. Yeah, I just watched the last episode.
Starting point is 00:37:26 I'm just too childbearing for that. Yeah. I went and saw Nick Cave live, and he was amazing. But his songs are super, like I cried like three times during the show. That's sad. I bet you wish you'd seen Nick age instead. Nope. It was probably the best concert I've ever been to. But I've just been to like, I've just been, yeah. So I'm trying to like not be so bummed out all the time. So I'm trying to like take in more positive stuff and this just was not bad.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Golden Girls is on Hulu right now. Yeah, if you want to watch that. Although I was watching it the other day and there was an episode where Sophia gets a boyfriend, because she meets like on a bench in a park. And it turns out he has fucking dementia, and he gets sent to like, you know, Connecticut to live with his family. And he doesn't remember her by the end. And I was like, fuck you.
Starting point is 00:38:18 I always hate when sitcoms have the sad episodes. I know, that's not why I'm watching this to see Rose Be mistaken for a nine-year-old in a letter. She has written to Corp Top. I'm just like, Alex Peky, why am I fucking sobbing right now? I don't need this from you. Anyway, I totally totally stopped all over your rating? Were you going to give this movie rating or am I just going to talk about gold and giv? Oh, I'm just just just just just just just just just just just just just this? Oh, this? Oh, this? Are this? Are this? Are th. Oh, this? Are the movie? Are the movie? Are the movie? Are the movie? Are the movie? Are the movie? Are this? Are th. Are th. Are th. Are this this th. I? Are this movie? Are th. Are the movie? Are this this this this movie? Are this this movie? Are this movie? Are this movie? I'm? I'm? I'm? I'm? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I'm? I'm? I'm? I'm? I'm? I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm just just just just just to th. I'm just just to th. I'm just just to the is well done and it does what it sets out to do. Don't let that change your ideas. I'm not. Okay. Because I had no idea what I was going to give this when I came in because like I was going to say this was my reanimator. But it wasn't like, it wasn't that.
Starting point is 00:39:03 It wasn't like a heads up would have been nice or anything. Like, yeah. This makes no pretense about what it's going to do. Yeah, and it's, it's just relentless. It never, there's never a point where I'm like, well maybe a happy will happen. No, nothing happy happens in this movie. Or me, like, did you even pity him? I hated him with a passion. I don't th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tho tho tho tho tho, I tho, I tho, I tho, I that, I thathea, I tho, tho, tho, tho- like, that, that, that, that, that, thatheatheat, that, that, that, that, that, that, th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, thu, that, that, like, that, that, that, like, like, like, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, that pity him? No, I hated him. I hated him with a passion. I don't know if you were supposed to pity him with those flashback scenes.
Starting point is 00:39:27 We all had a shit childhood, like, let's be real. Sure. I mean, that was just like the shittiest shit. Sure. That happens to many, many, many people, and they're not serial killers. Right. It's interesting because in the original, when he's in not serial killer mode, he's really personable. Oh.
Starting point is 00:39:47 And he's like not a total weirdo at all times. Weird. So that was like a big difference in this. And I don't know. I think I would give this a solid five. And if you can handle it, if you can handle it. Like if you're in the mood for... No, I got you. For something brutal. Watch it. Katie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:06 You know what I'm in the mood for? What? I'm in the mood to sell some stuff to people. All right. All right, let's try it. Hey, EMTs. Have you guys heard of... It works, thiiii. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to to th. to to to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. to. to. to. th. to. th. the. the. the. the the. the the the the th the the to. the the to. the to. to. to. to. to. to. to. This is why I had to get off Facebook. Ladies, I don't want to buy them.
Starting point is 00:40:28 Why, did that happen? Yeah, everybody's selling shit on Facebook. You're not a lady, you don't get this stuff. Just like nail wraps and weight loss shakes and skin firming creams and essential oils and legings and I just can't do it. It sounds like a really weird word salad that you're doing right now. It nail wraps. Yeah, real things. Jamberry. Eat a dick. I'm sorry. I'm a little at the end of my rope lately. I apologize for my behavior.
Starting point is 00:41:03 What I want to sell these people Katie is way better. And this is not any kind of scam or pyramid scheme or anything? It's a one-level marketing scheme which is the best one kind capitalism. Yeah and your house gets filled with awesome stuff from Cryptocurium's parcel of terror. We've been telling you guys about this for a minute a little bit. Probably like two years yeah thanks Jason. Thanks Jason. We appreciate your ongoing support. We appreciate your ongoing support. I was thinking about it today, and I was just like,
Starting point is 00:41:29 God damn, this guy's amazing for doing this for us. Like, we're doing this for him too. This is a give and take it. parcel of terror. One moment, please. Okay, Google. How do you say parcel of terror in French? Parcel de la terror. Oh, I like that. Whoa, shit, Jason? Jason? Jason, think about changing it to parcel of terror. I like that quite a bit. All right, let's look at the June parcel of terror. Tell me. I went to Jason's Instagram, which is the underscore Cryptocurium. CRY PTOCURIUM. You've got a magnet from the film They Live. Yeah, yeah you do. You've got a print of Reagan from The Exorcist.
Starting point is 00:42:21 That's terrifying. Who made that? Who did that? That I don't know. What a lunatic. What a maniac! You've got this really nice, it looks like a little wall plaque of the Raven from Poe, the Raven's sitting on a sculpted head. That's beautiful. It is. And a Jacob's Ladder sticker. I love Jacob's Ladder. Movies great. Why haven't we done that one? But there's a lot. the the the there. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. to. the the the the the the. the. the the the. the. the. th. lot of them we haven't done yet. It'd be a good time. Be part of something. Yeah, you you you you you you you Katie. What are we doing next week? Um, Katie.
Starting point is 00:43:49 What are we doing next nex? Um, you like clowns? Sometimes. You like killer clowns? Probably. You like them to come from outer space? Indeed I do. I'm so pumped for this.
Starting point is 00:43:59 We're going to talk about killer clans from outer space. All right, that one's on Hulu too, because we're on that Hulu kick right now. And we just keep bouncing back from like 2000 to 1988. I mean, I don't we we used to have a calendar where we would plan out what we were going to do and we would try to keep our eras, like keep decades staggered. Now we're just like, suck it. And I also feel like this one's for you, Damien. We did it this one, this one, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, I th, I th, I th, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. We did it all for you, Damian. We did it all for the Nookie. Come on. The Nookie. Come on.

So come back next week, listen to us and talk about killer clowns from outer space. Be good to each other?
Starting point is 00:45:15 Be cool. Yeah. Get inside the AC. It's fucking hot. Thanks for listening to another episode of Warwolv Ambulance. Bye. Wait, how do you say Wearewolf Ambulance in French? Oh my God, why didn't we even think that? You're so smart. Okay, Google. How do you say Wherewolf Ambulance, Omelieu. One more time. Thank you to have ecout an other episode of an ambulance of Lou Garu.
