Did we mention that this is were warewiff Just good to say it again Wherewolf ambulance. We're back We are. What are we talking about this week Katie? Oh, I don't know anything John Carpenter classic perhaps are anyl. Are there any of them not classics in your mind? Of course they aren't. In the mouth of madness. Yes, Sam Neal at his Sam Ne Oh, he's about 100% Sam Neal. Here's the problem when I have with Sam Neal. Okay, I just find him so silly. Do you think he's silly? I think he's silly too, which is nice. Do you think he's aware of it? You think it's self-aware? Yeah.. Not silly in that movie.
Starting point is 00:02:06 No, Event Horizon. Very silly. So silly. Biggie Blinders, also very silly. Oh, yeah. He's the guy. Yeah. He's good in that, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:15 There's a movie called, like, Hunt for the Wilder People. Absolutely not. It's a New Zealand film, because he is from New Zealand. Oh he's a Kiwi. Yeah, yeah. Do you think we have any Kiwi listeners? I think we have one or two. Hey guys. Is that what you guys say down there? Hey guys? I mean bless you for not saying good day or shrimp and Barbie to them. I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm running on like not that much sleep so. So I'm hoping I'm still funny. the baby times. I smell I'm thimes I'm thimes. I'm thimes. I'm thi I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I realized it in the car on the way over. I was like, hmm, what's that smell? I smell like spinach and ricotta, ravioli. That's like a nice Italian grandma.
Starting point is 00:02:53 I'm a drunk person, but I'm just a little more so to'er. I just had a grandma like that, so it's all right. So not much has happened since we've been gone for the past two months. Nothing's going on in the world. No, nothing's going on in the world. I wake up in the middle of the night a lot, as you might imagine, and I read Twitter. And which I should, I know. Yeah, I make the mistake of reading comments on news articles on Facebook. Never read the comment. Jesus Christ, the world is a fucking monster. Everyone is terrible. The world is, as you might say, a vampire. It is. It's
Starting point is 00:03:25 almost like the world's going insane. Like it's being driven insane. That was really good. Katie, can I read you a summation? Oh, before we get started, I wanted to thank someone for suggesting this movie because I think it's the perfect comeback movie for us. Who? This is a boom-boom packaderm on Twitter. What? What? Can't believe that one wasn't taken. Boom boom pacoderm. Hi boom boom packaderm. Thanks for your suggestion. I feel bad because there's someone that I want to have as a guest to my friend Chris. This is his favorite movie and I feel like we just stole it right out from under him.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Sorry about you, Chris. Sorry about you, you Come back with something else. Come out and me for home. Please don't. So can I read you a summation of this film? I would like you too because I don't know what happened in it. Okay. Here we go. Two dimwitted teenagers are forced to save the fast trade restaurant they work for from going out of business. Despite the new and improved burger joint opening across the street. They want to be the tod. tod. to to to to be to be to be to be to be the to be the the to be the the to be the the to be the the to be. the the t. the the t. t. t. t. tod. to be to be th. the the th. th. th. th. to be. to be. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. So, the the. joint opening across the street, they want to be the top dog in the fast food industry. That's Good Burger. Oh, that is Good Burger. Yes, I'm the best. I just saw Good Burger for the first time recently.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Did you like it? Oh, it's adorable. Keenan and Kehl are so cute. I wonder what he's back. He's back, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He's playing a Mace like rapper on a Nickelodeon show. A clean rapper. Yeah, a clean living. Mace mumbles too much. I don't think he's one of the worst MC's I've ever heard. Yeah. That song at the top of this episode. Hotbeat. Yeah. Puffy wasn't a bad producer. Just don't want to hear him as an MC. Yeah. And, oh, Nor, Nor, Nore. Biggie all day. Oh, yeah, Ops.
Starting point is 00:05:08 So that's not the- God rest all their soul. I mean, the two that are alive, their souls probably dead. Yeah. Now, Mase is probably. Well, forget. good burger love. I am. I'm glad you mentioned it. I'm glad you did. It's one of Missy's favorite movies so I figured I had to watch. Really? Yeah. I'm happy to hear that. She likes a ridiculous. I mean she owns Snow Day. She likes a ridiculous movie. Snow Day. Is that about dogs? No. That's snow dogs. All right. Well, okay. Actually do some mate this movie from my own right collection. So this movie is about John Trent. the. the. the. to. the. to. to. to. to. to. the. to. to. the. to. to. to. to. the. to. to. to. to. to. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. the. the. the. the. the. I'm. All right, I can do it from my own right collection.
Starting point is 00:05:45 So this movie is about John Trent, who is Sam Neal's character, who gets hired as an insurance investigator to locate famous author, Sutter Kane, aka Yurgan Prochnow. I feel like I've made fun of you for saying the name Yurgan Procknow in the past, and now I'm like, oh oh that guy, I see now. It's such a good name. It's so rewarding to say. Also, he's like the top of his field of insurance investigators. He's like the A plus number one insurance investigator.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Yet can't go to a fucking tailor and get a non-ill-fitting jacket. He looks terrible. I wonder if he thinks he's buffer than he is, which. Oh yeah, the 1920s sucked in gut. Hot, hot, hot. His suit looks like David Byrne, like the entire time. It's ridiculous. He looks so silly.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Also, he's like not great at his job, I would argue, but we can talk about that. So they hired this top of the game, insurance investigator to go track down Sutter Kane? Yes. Yes, I guess. What? I feel I've heard the name Suttercane before. I always just laughed at it. I didn't know what it meant. Now you know. Now you're in on the joke.
Starting point is 00:06:53 It's funny. It's a funny. Is it a joke? Is it supposed to be Stephen King? Yes. OK. Just making sure. Yeah, then there's like subtle the subtle the subtle the subtle the subtle the subtle the in the movie. And one not so subtle jab, where they're like, move over Stephen King. Yeah, when they say that he out sells Stephen King. Oh yeah. Poor Stephen King. So he's hired by Charlton Heston, Jackson Harglow.
Starting point is 00:07:15 My father definitely had a Charlton Heston is my president bumper. I just wanted you to know. I would expect nothing less from your father. He hires Sam Neal to go find Suttercane and he sends Linda Stiles who is just henceforth known as Stiles. Right. And they go to Hobbs End, which is this fake town that Suttercane made up that's now like brought into reality by his writing in in present-day New Hampshire in present day New Hampshire which I also thought was like a shot at Stephen King because of course it's in New England right
Starting point is 00:07:50 yeah for sure it's even King and lovecraft yeah oh sure right there's some lovecraftian shit in here too though I miss some of it so you'll have to fill me in okay and then mayhem ensues once they get to hobs in because it's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th th. th th th th. th. And then th. And then th. And then th. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then. And then then then then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then may. And then maybs in because it's sort of this unreal reality that they're in. And monsters. Right. But, okay. Do you have questions? I do. Okay, let me start off with one thing.
Starting point is 00:08:15 This movie opens with a sort of generic rock song and it is 100% a knock off of Anderson. Like 100%. Tom, tom, tom, tongue, tongue, tongue. I was like surprised that they were using that song, and then it kicked in. I was like, this isn't Enter Sandman. That's John Carpenter and the John Carpenter band. Is it? Yeah. It's, is, is Lars in that band?
Starting point is 00:08:36 And I love the idea of an. And it looks like it's a crazy building. Why would you put crazy people in a building that looks crazy? Like what you know what I mean? It's such a movie? For sure. It's the nightmarishly long hallways. Yeah and everything's symmetrical and yeah. Did you notice the name of the doctor in the insane asylum? Dr. Saperstein? thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Saperstein, which is the name of the doctor from Rosemary's Baby. Oh, all right. Yeah, yeah. And is that David Warner? No, it's the other guy.
Starting point is 00:09:11 The weird looking guy. Yeah, John Glover. Oh, okay. Yeah, who's just like just chewing the scenery the whole time that he's in the. They give him like three lines. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the. the. the. the. th. th. th.ishes all of them. He definitely does. Yeah, David Warner's also, oh God, I love David Warner so much. This is our third David Warner, the Omen, and then the wax movie. What's it called? Waxwork.
Starting point is 00:09:33 I was going to say House of Wax, but that was the one with Jared Padillucky. Paris wasn't in that movie. She was. No, she wasn't in it. Oh, yeah, she was. Listen, I'm not good anymore. I'm not good at this anymore. I'm not good at this anymore. We're a little rusty.
Starting point is 00:09:53 We're coming back on our game. Help. Listen help. So Sam Neal's drawn all over himself with black crayon. Not a thing you can do. Every time I watch this movie, I go, no, that's not, you can't do that. It would be such an, why does it have to be a crayon? Why would it? It's more hilarious that he's drawn all over himself,
Starting point is 00:10:11 you can't do that. Children everywhere would be so, tell me what to start the movie is like, so David Warner's like, well, tell me what happened. Which I like is a setup because the rest of the movie is from Sam Neal's perspective. So when he's not in the room and he's talking about something, it's completely fucking crazy. Like everything is just off the rails. Yeah, it's true. Like, the way that stylesiles acts when he's not around, she's just like, huh? What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:45 That's true. I didn't think about that. It's very lovecrafty in that aspect of being like told from the unreliable narrator. Yeah, and he certainly is. The man who has to establish that he's not insane at the very beginning at the very beginning of the things he saw. I'm not, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, I'm not, just, I'm not, I'm not, just, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not to, I'm not insane, I'm not insane. I'm not insane. I'm not insane. I'm not insane. I'm not insane. I'm not insane. I'm not insane. I'm not insane. I'm just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to so so so so, so, so so, so to to to wasn't at the beginning, he was driven crazy by the things he saw. Okay, that's fair. Here's what happened to me watching this movie. Okay. He went on a journey. It took me like three and a half hours to watch it because I was watching it with an infant. But and she kept jump, all the jump scares kept waking her up. So I had to like pause it and get her calm back down. I was like, maybe you could just go in another room, baby,
Starting point is 00:11:26 but she's like super rude like that. But I, maybe it's having not watched a horror movie in like 10 weeks or something like that. Right, right. Because I've literally only been watching running up the stairs like it was a scare dragon for me but I don't think this movie is scary. What's wrong with me? I like was afraid to go up the stairs. What the fuck? I'm so stoked. I don't think it deserve that kind of reaction and I also don't know what it was about. The first half I'm like like like like like like like like like like the the the the the the the the the he. he. he. he. he. he, when when when when when when when when when when when he, I he, I the the he, I'm like, I'm the the the the the the the the the th. I was like, I was th. I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was the s. I was the s. I was the s. I was the s. I was the s. I was like, I was the s. I was the s. I was the s. I was the s. I was the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, the the the s. reaction and I also don't know what it was about. The first half I'm like real clear on okay and then I'm like but when he
Starting point is 00:12:08 gets into the church I'm like I don't know what like you're gonna prox now starts talking about religion and monsters and I was like I don't know what you're saying. Yeah I mean I think next to the thing this is the most love Craftian movie that John Carpenter is done. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, thu, thu, thu, thu, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, thu-I, and thu-I, and thu-I, and thu-I, and thu-I, and thu-I, and thu- I'm thu- and thu, and thu, and tho, and thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thu- and thu- and thu-I, and the, and the, and thin, and thin, and th-I th then th then I'm th then I'm thin, and th then I'm thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and thin, and th thing, this is the most lovecraftian movie that John Carpenter has done. Oh sure. I mean, and it's like, it might even be more Lovecraft than the thing because like the dialogue is kind of terrible a lot of lovecraft. Dialogue is wretched. I wasn't going to bring it up unless you said it. But I think it's kind of on purpose on some level, because John Carpenter can can dialogue. He didn't even write this movie though, did he?
Starting point is 00:12:45 Someone else wrote it. We thought he did. No, I think he just directed it. Because I remember thinking like Jackson Harglo, is such a dumb John Carpenter name. Oh yeah, Michael DeLuca. Yeah. So maybe Michael DeLuca. So maybe MichaelLuca.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Look him up, people. He looks like a Michael DeLuca. Actually, don't look him up. Just imagine a person named Michael DeLuca. Oh, he did a lawnmower man and Freddy's nightmares and leather face and deep cover. And it's got some sick cred, Judge Dred, the one that's a the one stars in? I like Judge Dred. No I don't. I tolerate Judge Trud. Insurance fraud. Let's just start off with insurance fraud. Like as a base level concept. Do you love what he's
Starting point is 00:13:33 busting that dude? I do love when he's busting that dude who's sweating like a fucking pig. That guy was also in Prince of Darkness. I hate Prince of Dark. I know he's one of the professors in that movie. That's so bad. That's that movie. He the movie. He the movie th. He th. He th. He th. He's th. He's th. He's the movie th. He's th. He's th. He's th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I the. I thea. I th. I th. I to to to to to th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I's th. I's th. I's th. I's the the the the the the the the the th. I's the the th. I's th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I tole. I tole. I tole. I tole. I to to to to to tr. I tr. I tru. I tr. I tr. I th. I th. I hate Prince of Darkness. I know, he's one of the professors in that movie, though. That's so bad! That movie is so fucking bad. This was after this, right? This is the third in the trilogy? Yes, correct. That thing being the first, by far the best movie. He just really blew it all on that one.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I mean, there's some left left for th for th for th for th. You can go back and listen to the episode. It's episode. 79. Ah, nice. I know because I had to record that last week to let everybody know to go back and listen to it. Oh, nice. So like Sam Neal is sitting in a restaurant with his buddy. His buddy who's like a insurance fraud. He's an insurer. He's a recruiter for insurance fraud investigators. It's just like, man, you're the best, you're the best. And then like this guy jumps in through the window and I was like, well, I hope that restaurant
Starting point is 00:14:34 has insurance, you know? But that guy is so good, who turns out to be the agent of Sutter Kane? And is shot dead by a thoomk... thuuuuuuuuuu thu thu thu thu thu thu thu thu. And he he he he thu. And he's thu. And he's thu. And he's thu. And he's thu. thu. thu. thi. thi. thu. And he's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. hea. hea. hea. hea. hea. hea. hea. It's hea. It's thi. It's thi. It's th. He's th. And he he he's th. And he he's th. And he he's th. And he's th. And he. And he's th. And he's th. And he's thi. And he's thi. And he's thi. the. the. the. thi. the the thi. the thi. thi. the thi. thi. he's just just's wielding an axe. But yet, Sam Neal is sure that it's like the whole thing is a setup, even though he watched that man be shot dead in front of him. And then it turns out it was a hoax. What the fuck is happening? Like the whole time I was so indignant, I thought I had seen this movie before. I was so Oh, okay. I was so indignant that he thought it was a hoax when he had watched that man die. Right. And then Stiles is like, oh, it is a hoaxe, but then it turns out Stiles doesn't exist. Uh-huh. So I don't know. Again, you're going back to an insane man is telling you a story. Yeah. th. It it. It it. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. theeeeeeeeeea. thi. thi. thi. th his pupils? Yeah, they were like a goat's pupils. Yeah, yeah. Pretty cool. Pretty cool effect. And I like that he like comes rip into the window and just stops
Starting point is 00:15:32 and goes, do you read Sutter Kane? Yeah, I like that. Sutter Kane is a good like name to say out loud. It is. That's the first time I'd ever said it out loud. It was was was a to to to to say. to say. to say. to say. to to to to be. to be. to to to be. to be. to to to to the the to the the the to be. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. the the thi. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. And I don't want to do it again. It's no Jurgent Brock now. No, but who is? He was in Doss Boot. Um... Someone needs a finger. Someone needs a finger.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Because I have the things as eating the finger is a nice touch. What does that note? Between a publicity stunt in which a man was shot to death and the kind of thing Reddit would catch immediately? Oh I don't remember. The kind of thing Reddit would catch immediately was the book covers like being matched up to me. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I wonder if it's the crazy cop in the street? I don't know. I don't remember. I'm very'm very fuzzy on this. So after the guy asked him if he reads Sutter Kane, Sam Neal starts having nightmares where he's walking down a street and there's a poster for Hobbs End, which is one of Suttercane's books and he like peels it back and he's looking behind it but you don't see what he sees. Yeah, and th. he he hears somebody being beaten around the cornered. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the th. Starting point is 00:16:45 Or something like that? Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember that. And then the dream keeps getting worse, the more, like they come back to it a few times. And he's eventually like a demon, the cop is. Yeah, everyone's face gets like a bunch of buttholes. Yeah, kind gets hired by Jackson Harglow. These names are fantastic. They're so Hollywood. What was the woman from Halloween 3 that I couldn't get over Margie? Oh God I don't remember but yes the woman who's like from Schenectady. Hi I'm I'm gonna really bother me. I'm gonna look it up. Why you, why you explain what the fuck is happening in this movie? So Jackson Harglo Charlton Hesden teams te teems teems te te te te te heen heen heen they they they they they they they they they they they they they thine. I thine. I thine. I th. I th. I th. I th. It's thi. It's thi. It's right. Why you explain what the fuck is happening in this movie? So Jackson Harglow, Charlton Heston,
Starting point is 00:17:27 teams him up with Stiles to go find Suttercane. Right. And they're just like immediately like, okay, I guess we'll drive to New Hampshire because I got the map from the covers of the books. And it's also like, what is being insured here. Who insured? Do they have an insurance policy on Sutter King? Yeah, because they need his next novel. But I was under the impression that it had already come out and bookstores were having trouble stalking it because there had... that was all pre-orders. Those were riots over pre-orders. That's silly.
Starting point is 00:17:56 I don't know. Have you seen the way people are with these iPhones? Marge Gutman. thugman. And Ellie grud, their their their their th. th. th. th. Tri. T. T. T. T. T. T. T. Those are good, like, not going to be real people names. I would assume. I love like not a real person name. Like, oh, there's not going to be legal things with this one. All right, go. Sure. Marge Grimbridge. No, Marge Goodman. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:18:21 They're all stupid. So, okay, yeah, so I guess they have him insured. Right, and specifically to get the next book. It's going to make them a million billion dollars. All right. Fine. And this is a 94, Stephen King would have still been a powerhouse in the publishing industry. Is he not anymore? Well, no, I think he's back again. I think the 2000s were kind of a little bit fallow for him. Yeah You see I you see that new it? I have not seen it yet
Starting point is 00:18:49 Yeah, I've heard it's pretty good. Yeah, have you seen it? No, I'm gonna take the baby to see this Oh nice. And also hopefully an hour drive will put her to sleep That's good really nice. I was gonna try and see it this weekend maybe too. I would go to a regular movie theater But everyone will hate me. So I was gonna try to go to like a Wednesday 11 a.m. Showing but even that feels too risky A mommy and me showing I don't upset anybody. Because you see someone walking in a movie the movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie a movie a movie movie a movie a movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie? the movie? Because you see someone walking in a movie theater with a baby, you fucking hate their guts no matter what, you know. So we're going to go to the drive-in. That is very kind of you. I think it's just decent. That's not the same as kind.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yeah. Also, I want to see it. So if she's screaming, I, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Can you please say, have you seen 2017's new remake of the movie, It? The Stephen King Novel, It, the non-miniseries. I know, I love that mini-series. I know, and it's also also also, really really really really, really, also, also, also, also, also, th also, th also, th also, th also, th also, th also, th also, thi also, thi also, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, the the the the the the the the the the the the, the, the the, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi.. theean, thean, toooooo-s-s, te., te. thean, thean, thi. thi. I know. Good thing that was a good one, I hope.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Yeah, I think so. Good. They're all good ones. Yeah. Eh, no, miss is here. they're taking a car ride, styles and Jack Trent. I love her all-off-white look, her like- Or John Trent, sorry, forgive me.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Doesn't matter. Flowing, shapeless clothing. I'm a big fan of that. I also love the grandma actress at the inn. She was in like everything as a grandma. I love her. For she's so great. Yeah. And she's so great. And like when you first meet her, she is a Pikmin in the basement.
Starting point is 00:20:34 the teem. Pickman is a, which is the story of my lifegraf about a demon in the basement. Okay. Which sounds like you just have a rumbly tummy. Ooh, look a demon in the basement. Demons in the basement. But she's so good when you meet her and she's just like matronly and then like when we meet her again and she's like, oh, there's something wrong here. That was very the that scene with her husband. What was, like, I felt very upset by that.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Because it was way to real life horror. It wasn't like fantastic. It was just an old naked man handcuffed to her foot. Why? That she was kicking. That was a little much for me. I don't know, later we find out that she turns him into coleslaw, which I thought was a hilarious turn of frees. Yeah, I. And you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you that, and you that, that, that, that, that that was like that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was, that was, that was, that was, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was liked, that was like, that, that, th. And th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, that was like, that was like, that was that was that was like, that was that was that was that was that was like, that was that was that waseslaw though, which I thought was a hilarious turn of freeze. Yeah, I like that a lot. And you do see her mashing him up, but she's like a beast person at that point, like many
Starting point is 00:21:32 tentacled beast. I love the practical monsters in this movie. But I want to, before they get to Hobbs end, before they find the magical toom the the thoom, thoom, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, thi, thi, thi, thi, and, thi, and, thi, and, and, thi, thi, and, thi, and, too, and too. And, too. And, toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. And, and, and, and, thi, and, thi town, they're riding on this like back road and there's a kid in the middle of the road on his bike. Yeah, that was really scary I thought, yeah, I was really scared by that. You know when he came back in the old manwick? Yeah. Oh it has been a while since you rode the horror horse. I know I was like, oh look I just got a hoarse. I know I was like, I was like like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that's that's that's that's really really really really really really that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi, that's that's thi, that's thi, that's thi, that's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that you like they pass him in one direction then they pass him going the other way. I like that. Oh look I just got goosebumps why? That's the dumbest fucking thing ever. And then they hit him. Yeah, and they pass him again because they don't pass him they hit him. Yeah. Well. And he says they won't let me out. I can't get out. Yeah right. So he stuck in the same loop that's. that's. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. their. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. their. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. I. th. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. th. th. th. th. th he's stuck in the same loop that Sam Neal is stuck in later. But then he like disappears, doesn't he? Or does he, or did I make that up? He does see the bike again later,
Starting point is 00:22:28 because that, the Baber boy is riding the bike. Right, right, right, right, okay. But yeah, he kind of disappears love the, like, Stiles is awake and he's a, and John Trent's asleep and they drive into Hobbs End. He's like, oh, Stiles, you found it. Yeah. And it was like this nightmarish ride that she took through the sky. And she like just appears and she's driving in the darkness and then it's just in daylight.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Yeah, really well done. And the the the the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi's thi's thi's just thine thine, thi's just thiol- thine, thine, thine, hea' hea' hea' hea' trys trys tryn's just tryn's just tryn's just tryn's just tryn's just tryn's just hea's just hea's just thine, thine, thine. I guess that matters for some reason. Because he wrote it into existence. Okay. What about the little kids chasing the dog in slow motion? I don't remember that. When they first are walking down the street, Style sees these kids tasing a dog in slow motion. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then we the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, I, I, I, I, I, I, I the th, I the the the the the the the the the the the toes. toes. to to to to toda. to today. today. today. the the the the the the the the the the the these kids tasting a dog in slow motion. And then we see them later in front of the giant black church. Yeah, yeah, yeah, which is a real church out in Canada. Oh yeah, yeah, creepy, creepy church. And we see them later and the dog has one of its legs ripped off. Oh I don't remember. Yeah. See that would have scared me. What's happening to me? And then we see those kids again later, and the girl has like the teeth that have grown through her lips when she's talking. I really like that.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Not a big fan of that. It was gross. Yeah. So Sutter Kane lives in the church, I guess, or whatever. He lives in the church within the church. Wait, OK. a smaller church that was there. See, that's dumb. See, like, when they were writing this down, and they were like, yeah, the church built itself around a smaller church, it's kind of like, maybe rethink that.
Starting point is 00:24:11 But that's, yeah, that to me also feels like a, like, you know, a lovecraft thing of like, ooh, but in the house, there's another house, a smaller house. No I I I I I I I I I I I I I I that's, that's, that's, that's, that mean, that's very lovecrafting, but that doesn't make it good. It's true. He does have a lot of stinkers. I kind of like this movie being on like the more stinker end of Lovecraft's, like Oove. It's not hitting the best, the greatest hits. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:37 So they meet, well, they're at the Black Church and a bunch of townies drive up in their pick them up trucks and like the 80s like cutlasses and stuff yeah and they're demanding that the boy be given back to them right and that's a kid on the bike right okay did you recognize the kid's father is he the agent no he's Vigo carp the car carpathian from ghost posters too to okay wait okay thou tha thoo itoday th i i i i i i i th i that no that that that that that that that that that that that that the that the the the the the thi thi thi tho. tho. I thought that was true, and then he seemed too small. Now, that's him, well, he's just not sitting in a painting. He's like a, was a very bad human, I read on the internet once. Oh, really? I read like a, he was a wiol to carpenter. A, I that. A, I, I, I, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, t, t, a, t, t, t. A, t. A, t. A, t. A, t. A, t. Starting point is 00:25:27 The agent, okay, the agent that gets shot in the beginning, who goes through the restaurant window, does he ever show back up? He does in the nightmares. Okay, that's what I thought. He's with the group of axe-wieldinginging-wixxxxxxxxxxxed-wixed-wiwiax-wiwiwiwiats, thax-waxed-wa, th, th, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that's, that's, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, th.. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, that, that, that, that, the a, that's, that's, the a, that's, that's, the a that's, that's, the a that's, okay, okay, thank you. Mm-hmm. I started to get very confused with these like sort of round-faced balding men, you know. They're very Scandinavian, older men. They all look the same to me. If there's one thing I know about you, white people all start to look the same, if there's too many of them on screen at one time. It's just men. So, but I like the scene where they're demanding the boy and they're like the church door
Starting point is 00:26:06 flies open and you see the kid and he flies open again he's a little bit more disheveled and it flies open again. It's you're gonna crack now. Okay, this makes sense. No, this makes sense. This is ringing a bell. No, he's so strange, like, I don't know. I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to feel about him. As a character or like as a human being.
Starting point is 00:26:31 He's a very interesting looking human being. Yeah. The wild head of hair. So he's a real person in reality in real life. Like he has written all these other books. Correct. Okay. And as we learned, it was revealed to him that he he was making this all th this this this the this thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi these other books. Correct. OK. And as we learned, it was revealed to him
Starting point is 00:26:47 that he thought he was making this all up. But what? But the elder gods, the elder things, the things in the darkness were giving this information to him. That seems like plagiarism. Well, he didn't know he was doing it. Ignorance isn't always the best. So there are legit people that believe this about Lovecraft.
Starting point is 00:27:11 There is like a minor religion around Lovecraft. Don't tell me that people are, okay. That believe that he was getting this like through some sort of psychic conveyance. Why? Because these elder things exist and... Maybe. I mean, I'm agnostic, so it's hard for me to say they don't, but why would they believe that... Okay, forget it, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Would they believe that a shut-in in Rhode Island would be getting this information? Precisely. Although if I've seen enough episodes of the X files and I have, it's always the shut-ins in like remote towns that get this information. So maybe. A shut-in racist in Orod Island is going to get all this info. So yeah, Jurg and Brocknell, like they go through some more stuff that we meet the the crazy lady at the end that's eating her husband and she's a giant monster. Yeah. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. tr. true. true. true. true. true. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the inn that's eating her husband and she's a giant monster. Yeah. Oh we keep coming upon Vigo the Carpathian who is like Sam Neils convinced as an actor that the town is filled with actors. Right he is just so
Starting point is 00:28:12 sure that Stiles has set this up. Yeah which is fine I guess. And oh and Stiles goes to your to Sutter Kane on her own and gets possessed. Right. And I I love the scene where she's making out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. thea. thea. thea. thea. the the thea. the the the the the the the the the the the the the. Right. And I love the scene where she's making out with him, right? She tries to, yeah. Oh yeah, oh yes. She totally makes out with him. That's the hilarious scene where she's making out and they start rubbing his head and the camera pans out. And there's a monster growing at his fact.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Oh, yeah, that's really bad. I wanted her just just just like like like like like like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, a. the. the. th. that's. that's. to. to. to. that, a. to. to. to. to. that, to. to. to. to. to. the. the slip a finger into the monster's mouth or something. Like, just around, like a reach around for a monster head in the back of you. I know you're here, buddy. Oh, it's so hilarious. I love it so much. It's like every time I forget that it's about it, that it's going to happen. I'm like, oh god, it's so silly. Very bad. But I love when he, um, um um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's that's like, that's like, that's like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi. I love when John Trent sees her through the door and you just kind of see her in silhouette and then like tentacles burst out behind her head and under the door. Pretty good. Pretty good.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Okay, so tell me, are we at the scene where Sutter Kane is in the church explaining to Sam Neal? Yeah. Okay, can you just like run that down for me really quickly? Probably not super well, but he's just basically explaining that these elder things have bestowed this information on him and he is like the conduit to them coming into the world. They're gonna take over humanity, take over the earth. So if he writes it it becomes true. Correct. Okay. And that's what that giant throbbing door is, the sloppy that that that that he that he that he that he that he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he's that he's that he's that he's that he's that he's that he's that he's that he's that he's that he's he's he's he's hea hea hea. he. he. So he's he. So he's he. he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he he's he's he's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the- the-he's just thi's just the. He's just he's he's he's true. Correct. Well, OK. And that's what that giant throbbing door is,
Starting point is 00:29:46 the sloppy, wet throbbing door, that he's like holding back the monsters. Why is he doing that, though? Because he hasn't written them into existence. I don't know. It gets a little confusing. I think that's when I was like, what I think it's that thing of like the big bad explaining what's going on. You're just like, okay, if that's what you and this is how I did it. But I love the, I don't, yeah, it's super cheesy, but I love the scene where the hole opens up and it's a book.
Starting point is 00:30:14 I did not. I like that. And he's like he looks in and sees some great nightmare coming. to the the night. It's just very very. the, it. the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And, th. And, th. And, this, this, th. And, this, this, this, this, I, I, I, the nose. Oh yeah yeah like there's some so like when he's leaving and he says to Stiles you come with me she was like I can't I already read the whole book like what is that that isn't and I was like as the agent hadn't you already read the book like it was supposed to be coming out you should have earned she's the editor she should probably have already read it well they didn't have the whole the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the to to to to to to to the to to to to to to to the the the the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the didn't have the whole book yet. Oh, they were just missing part of it. Yeah, that's what the whole insurance, John was about. I see. Because they were going to hunt down the rest of the book. I see. Well, whatever still.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Yeah. So Sutter Kane gives himto make them crazy. Correct. So his previous books have had this effect? Right. Not in the mouth of madness. Just, yeah. Not to the degree that this one is going to.
Starting point is 00:31:14 All right, fine. Carry on. I think I was confused by that. I thi that the book had come out, people read it, went crazy. Yeah. And then, that's why I didn't understand why they were bringing back a manuscript at the end, because it had already come out. I wonder if that was like a nod to Stephen King as well, because I remember back at the 80s, along with like D&D and heavy metal music and horror movies, like he got lumped in with that. Yeah. He was like one of the the the the the the the the the things things things things things things things things things things thi things thi. T thi. T thi. thi. thi. thinks thinks thinks thinks thinks thinks thinks that was like thi. that was like that was like that was like that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, that was like, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. that was like, thin. that was like, thea. thean. thean. that was like, thean. thean. that was like, that was like, thean. that was like, that was like, thea. that was chased down this really long tuttle by these flippy floppy fish monster men.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Yeah. Which I really loved. Yeah, I'm sure you did. Because they're just little puppets chasing him down the hallway. They are. But again, I love a practical effect, so it got me good. And then he wakes up on a road by himself out of crossroads. He like, bu-ba-bo, bo. B. B. B. B, tr. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tre, tre, tre, tre, true, true, true, true, true, true, th- th- th. Yeah, th- th- thi, thi, th. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. they th. they they the, they're they're they're they're th. Yeah road by himself at a crossroads. He like, B-bob-bobobo bones. We're back.
Starting point is 00:32:08 I'm gonna miss everybody. He like kind of pops into existence there. He's like, foopped in. I don't know why. Because Hobbs then isn't real. I guess. Where is he left off then? Where is that?
Starting point is 00:32:24 Somewhere in New Hampshire. Yes. Where is he left off then? Where is that? Anywhere? It doesn't matter. Just somewhere in New Hampshire. And he has to get back and he gets on the bus. Takes the great bus ride. Oh yeah, my favorite color is blue. That's so fucking stupid. What a weird thing. Just like what?
Starting point is 00:32:39 Who, why? Michael DeLuca? You wrote that down and no one was like, eh, I don't know, I that's that's that's that's that's, I that's, I that's, I that's, I that's, I that's, I'm that down and no one was like, I don't know how that's gonna play on screen. I love that like the lady next to him just has a like bright blue hair. Like it's so silly, it's so funny. What was the point of that scene to just to show him that he's going crazy? Yeah, and also to show the like, I guess to like the outside world he's going crazy but like he knows that this dude is talking to him and like I love that the bus driver comes up and he's like a buddy you're all right you just having a nightmare everything's fine buddy it's not how a bus driver would treat you shut the fuck up yeah so he gets back to Charlton Heston Harglo Jackson no
Starting point is 00:33:21 and says you know it keeps trying to get rid of the book and it keeps coming back to him. Right. And he also tells that the styles got left there and this guy is denying any knowledge of styles. Right and says that the book has been out for months. Yeah. It's in post-production. It's in post-production. This is where I was like, I don't, I don't, I don't, this doesn't, this doesn't, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, th. the, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. the. this is this this is to, this is to, this is thi. the. the, the, the, the the the the thi. the. the.'s in post-production. This is where I was like I don't I don't this doesn't what is happening. There are some script problems here some story problems that are going on. I just feel like they got to a certain point and then they were like just throw it in a blender. Let let the ancient god sort it out. So he and ends up back in the loony bin. Or we get back to him being in the loony bin.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Right, but now it's empty, right? Or is it not empty yet? So David Warner is wrapping up his conversation with him and he leaves. And then all hell breaks loose in the hallway outside of his room. Yeah, right. And I like, you just see in silhouette like people being hacked apart and they're screaming, and then all the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. the th. th. they th. th. th. they th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thin. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thin. thin. thin. th. th. in the hallway outside of his room. Yeah, right. And I like that you just see in silhouette, like people being hacked apart, and they're screaming, and. And then all of a sudden it stops, right? Right. OK.
Starting point is 00:34:31 And he wanders out and wanders into town and goes to a movie theater. And he's hearing a radio broadcast of like emergency. It's kind of like if you were still OK, you can come to this Right, right. And the movie is in the mouth of madness starring John Trent. Yeah, why? Because it's you know, no I don't know I don't know why. But there's the great scene of him watching a movie of himself while eating a bucket of popcorn, which I appreciated. He went to the Cossessions stand and stole it. Is it stealing if it's the apocalypse? That is a question we're all probably going to have to answer sometime soon.
Starting point is 00:35:12 God help me if I'm stealing popcorn. I love him laughing hysterically at the movie that he's in. And then like sobbing. Oh, man. And that's like Sam Neal at his silliest, I feel. It's most Sam Nealeist. He just can't emote. He can't emote anything other than smugness is how I feel about Sam Neal. It's just, he shouldn't even try. And then, bong, tung, dunk, dunk, dunk, dunk, dunk. Your favorite rock song comes back. Bada da da da.
Starting point is 00:35:45 And that is in the mouth of Bandist roundabout. Somewhere in there. Somewhere in there was the movie. Oh boy, boy, Z-boy. So Katie. Yeah. You want to go to the ratings face? We haven't been there in quite some time. I never remember how to get there.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Maybe I should put together the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers the covers there in quite some time. I don't remember how to get there. Maybe I should put together the covers of books. Yeah, let's rate this. Read this mother. You go first. Uh, no, you go first. No, I'll go first. All right. This is better than Prince of Darkness.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Hands down. the thing. No, and I don't think anyone would argue with that. No, no, no. It is not as good as Halloween. No, no, no, no. It is maybe not as good as Halloween 3. I do enjoy Halloween 3 more, but yes. There are a lot of things I like about this. I like the sort of like going insane angle to it. I like the unreliable narrator. I even sort of like the ancient gods. I like the town that doesn't really exist. It's cool, it's fine. I like that it actually scared me but I think that's really more on me than on the movie. I think I could have probably watched anything and been afraid because a win's a win. My brain is just terrified all the time. I'm sure you're very heightened right now. I am a lunatic right now so but then a
Starting point is 00:37:05 lot of it I was like come on come on like what? Yeah so for that I'm gonna give it a six and a half. Oh lovely. You're so surprised you yeah yeah I was gonna go a lot lower. I did after Prince of Darkness I mean it Prince of Darkness is a very very very very bad movie also I know I've seen it at least twice now, because I saw it when we did it, and then I realized halfway through I had already seen it. I don't remember anything about it except that thing of like green ooze.
Starting point is 00:37:33 I don't remember what that movie's even about. Basement Satan's. The green news is Satan in the basement and they have to keep him in there and he's slowly dripping out upwards. Nope. It's gone. Broken mirror with the devil on the other side? Maybe. Is there a hunky black guy that gets killed by that mirror? Sure, yeah. This thing's amazing grace with the throat slit.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Yeah. Yeah. Hmm. That I remember. Why didn't they just plug up the hole that he's dripping out through? I guess that's for another episode that we've already done. Episode 179, we revisit. No, who takes these back seas?
Starting point is 00:38:12 I really love this movie. Of course you do. I mean, it's not, I don't love every Carpenter movie. I kind of hate vampires. I haven't seen that. Yeah, I don't like it. My friend Ryan and I have an ongoing argument about it. She loves it and I think it's terrible.
Starting point is 00:38:31 It's newer, right? Yeah, it's after all this, yeah. And I don't like his version of Village of the Damned either. Is that the K's talking. Love that movie. Um, but I mean I would give this movie a seven. That's all. I love it, but like, I know what I'm loving here. Like, it's like... Do you remember what you gave Prince of Darkness?
Starting point is 00:38:57 Uh, probably a seven or eight. I would guess. Do you like this better than Prince of Darkness? Oh, on par? You think they're equal? Yeah, yeah. That's wrong. That's the wrong opinion. But I get such joy out of both of them for being so fucking ridiculous. Yeah. But what if Satan came back because a math?
Starting point is 00:39:14 Oh, yeah. There was some math in there. Oh, they were doing equations, were they. And I think the writer writing horror into existence is such a hard thing to do and make it somewhat enjoyable. Sure. And he does that. That's fair. He also doesn't, did, to remember that Masters of Horror Show that was on Showtime where all these horror directors got to do an hour long? I remember seeing it but I never, I remember seeing of it, but I never saw it, yeah. He did one called Cigarette Burns. That was about like somebody had made a film that thri-a th. th. th, th, th, th, like th, th, like th, th, like th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, and thi, and th, and th, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, and th. And, and th. And, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and thi, and thi, and thi, and thi, thi, and thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, never saw it, yeah. He did one called Cigarette Burns, that was about like somebody had made a film that drives people insane. It was like this premise, but it fit with a film. Yeah. And he did that pretty well too.
Starting point is 00:39:54 It stars a, the hunky guy from Walking Dead. Channing Tatum. That mother fuzz looks like a fist with a hens. Chris Hemsworth. The other guy. The greasy guy, he rides the motorcycle. Oh, the guy is so ugly, he's sunkey. He like has literally turned full circle. He's like a head facing backwards. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:40:16 That's not full circle. That's halfway around. I don't know what I'm talking about. I was going to say he really ETed that's ET's so ugly that he's cute. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. But yeah, he's like that guy. He's starring that guy. So ugly that he's cute. That's a very real thing. Sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Sure. No doubt busted hot, we used to call it. Oh, nice. But yeah, that is in the mouth of madness. We just did an episode. Did we do okay? Was it all right? I think so. You're raising your arms like the Rocky statue, which I like a lot. So Katie, what are we doing next week?
Starting point is 00:40:52 We're going to do another episode. Yay! Another movie? Well, it's going to be a nice movie? A f-a'erri! . A movie. A child-friendly film? Terribly unfriendly movie called Teeth. It was on Netflix for a while. You missed it. If you missed it, you can rent it on Amazon.
Starting point is 00:41:09 And it was only a dollar 99 instead of 299. Did you notice that? It's a bargain movie. Bargain bin. So teeth? Teeth. Vagina. I was wondering if we were going to spoil back. If you guys, you guys should see that, definitely see this movie before we... Yeah, because it's... yeah. It's something special. Like, when I was watching it, I was having this feeling like, I'm just going to keep saying the word dick over and over and over, you know? And then I was thinking about that movie my life with Michael Keaton, where he dies and he's left that movie for his child. But if I died, like my child would only have this podcast. And she would just turn it on and I'd be like, fucking dicks. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:41:50 Like, I've done a bad job is what I'm saying? My mom really love dick? Love to talk about dick. And bone thugs harmony. That's all I know about her. It's all anybody knew about her really. Oh, she fucking hates horses. Horses in the ocean. I'm very afraid of the ocean. Stay away from you sea horses. Oh, they're kind of cute though, aren't they?
Starting point is 00:42:09 They are. They're adorable. Well, I'll never know. All right, teeth. Next week, come back for teeth. Hey, get at us during the baby break and downloaded the baby break hiatus episodes. Thanks, guys. We're glad to be back.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Yeah, we're glad to have you. And thanks for all your kind, congratulations and nice words and things of that nature as well. We're very happy. We're very tired. But it's really nice of go to your heads or anything. We're going to be mean to you next week. Yeah, this is, don't expect this kind of sappiness all the time.
Starting point is 00:42:50 You want sappiness, you goes into my favorite murder or whatever. I've never listened to that as a good. It's all right. Yeah, it's all. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And also. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And. And.
