Starting point is 00:00:00 You did not fucking tell me Jeff Goldblum was in this movie. I had no fucking tell me Jeff Goldblum was in this movie. He's not even in the opening credits. They show his face and I was like, is that Jeff Goldblum? And then I watched the opening credits all the actors and he wasn't in it. Why did they not name Jeff Goldblum? I was of hoping that would be the only time that he was in it? I was too. But he wasn't. He was headlines. And was Christopher Walkin in the opening credits?
Starting point is 00:00:31 Yes. Okay. Yes. And so was Jerry Orbach. And I have often said how much I love Detective Blenny Briscoe? It's Jerry fucking Orbach? Motherfucker. God rest his soul. He's so young in it too. I know he looks weird. It's got the weird like Emo Flippy hair. I really disliked it. He's the original Beaver. It's a, this is a weird movie. Full of a weird people. Tom Beringer isn't it? As a man at the end. I couldn't even figure out who he was. Speaking of, who are you? Me? Yeah. Tom Beringer? No, you're Katie.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Oh, oh, oh, I was trying to think of his name of his character from Major League. Jake. Wild thing. No, that's Wild thing Rick town's. thanks. That's a werewolf ambulance. You know. That doesn't matter. I'm Katie. I'm Alan. Hey, this is his show. It's a were-wolf family. You know, you downloaded it.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Yeah, I mean you clicked on it. And if you got this by accident, welcome. I fucking love Jeff Goldblum. He's one of our own, you know? God, he's so handsome at this movie, too. He's so slike. Swarthy. Probably Smarmy too. Smarmy. What movie were we talking about? Oh, I don't know. The Sentinel.
Starting point is 00:01:47 While we're talking about men's appearances. I did just cut my hair, thank you. It looks great. We had been recommended this movie because I found Chris Sarandon to be so attractive and Fright Night. Not cute in this. You didn't like that mustache straight from Gay Paris that he was wearing, like the John Waters mustache? It looked, it was all like fucked up too. It was uneven and just looked like, it looked accidental.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Was that to make him suspicious? You think so. That mustache was like, maybe, maybe he's a bad guy. But it was the 70s, so everyone that you loved had a mustache, like Freddie Mercury. Oh, Freddie, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that that that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that must that mustache, that mustache was like that mustache was like that mustache was like that mustache was like that mustache was like that mustache was like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, oh, like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, the mustache was like, the mustache was like, the mustache was like, the mustache was like, the mustache was. the mustache, the mustache, the mustache, thei. thei. thei. thei. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. th. that must. that must. that must. that must. that must. that must. that must. that must. that must. th. th. th, oh Freddie Mercury, yeah. He really got better looking in the 80s. Oh yeah, when his hair got huge? Yeah, I just, his face got his cheekbones and he filled out I guess. Yeah, for sure. I just, I was like, oh that's what he looked like, huh? I was bummed. I was bummed on Chris Sarandon's looks. But luckily they gave you the gold bloom. Yeah, it was a saving grace. And Tom Beringer, whom I do not remember being in this movie. And Burgess Meredith. As I mentioned, a very handsome fellow himself. Sure.
Starting point is 00:02:54 And Uncle Lewis from National Lampoon's Christmas vacation who is also in, tales from the dark side. Oh yeah. Blessing. He's young, and you can probably Tales from the Dark Side. Oh yeah. God Blassing! He's young, and you can probably hear the finger quotes on that, but he still looks 87 years old. He looks 87 years old. And John Caridine's in this?
Starting point is 00:03:14 Our second John Caridine movie? What was the first? The Howling? Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's the howling. Everyone that was in the howling has been in another movie that we've done. Do you notice that? For sure. Weird. Including, yeah, that's next week. We're all fucked up babies. All right, so give me a synopsis. Can you synopsize this? No, no. But I am going to say that he does not seem
Starting point is 00:03:39 nearly upset enough about his partner with whom he lives getting her own apartment. She's like, I think I'm going to get my own place and he's like, oh, all right. Oh, it's the 70s. Everyone's fucking around and getting their own places. I guess, but it seems like a step backwards if you're trying to get someone to marry you. It's true, but relationship if you're moving out and getting your own place. He's at best aloof. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Yeah. And you like can't even tell if he's a looof. Like I couldn't tell if he was a looof or just acting poorly. I will say in the world of 70 suits, he definitely came th. came out a winner. He was wearing great suits. Dapper as fuck. Unlike when Eli Wallach shows up, who's the detective that's with Chrisera Walkin, and he has a tie on that is as wide as his chest. Yeah, his look is not great. And he's a short man too. You know, you can't, you've got to, you gotta narrow it in. He's in a bunch of spaghetti westerns, and I absolutely adore him. He's so great. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's in th. He's in th. He's in th. He's in th. He's in th. He's in thi thi thi's in thi's in thi's in a thi. He's in a th. He's in a thi's in a thi. He's in th. He's thi. He's thi. He's thi. He's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's thi. He's in thi. He's in thi. He's in a thi. He's in a theeateateateateateateateateateate. He's theateateateateate. He's theateate. He's th. He's so great. He's so ridiculous. He often plays men of indiscriminate origin. Okay, okay. You're Spanish, I guess, or Mexican,
Starting point is 00:04:51 maybe. I feel like we've had a number of those men in this podcast. The Sentinel, the movie we're doing, to wrap it up in the quickest terms, every movie you've seen in the 70s is represented in this film. Yeah, that sounds about right. It just the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie to the movie to the movie to the movie the movie to the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie movie movie the movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie the movie movie movie the movie to the movie. the movie the movie. the movie. th. th. the movie th. th. th. the movie th. to th. th. the movie. th. th. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. I. It's. It's. the. I. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the in the 70s is represented in this film. Yeah, that sounds about right. It just needs a creature. Every horror movie, I should say. Yeah, there's almost like, yeah, everything. Everything. I mean you've got God, suicides, weird fetishes, apartment buildings.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Satanic possession. You've got a birthday party fetishes. Did I see that already? Her dad is totally having a birthday party fetid. Like, that's a birthday party, fuck. What the fuck was that? I was like, does he, I guess I have a, I love cake. I don't think we could just jump into that. Okay, sorry.
Starting point is 00:05:38 That's a birthday fuk. It's the weirdest fetish, like. He is the weird, he is is is the weirdest the weirdest fetish, like. He is full more into it. Who wrote that? You know we often talk on this podcast about like, when you find out like, oh, that's your thing? What if it's a birthday parties? How early in your life did you realize that? I'm sorry, I just jumped into that.
Starting point is 00:06:01 I went feet first. No, I almost, yeah. So it's basically, this is part exorcistist ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex ex. I'm sorry, I just jumped into that. I went feet first. No, I almost, yeah. So it's basically, this is part Exorcist, part Rosemary's Baby, part, the omen a little bit. A little bit of the omen. It's just got, it's, it touches on everything, but I think it handles it really well. Part um, what's that Cronin Burt shivers? It's, I feel. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. the. the. the. the. the. th. the. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. th. the. th. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Part, part, part, part, part, part, part, part. Part, part. Part, part. Part, part. Part, part. Part, part. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. th. the. th. the. the. the. the. th. the. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. th. the. th. th. thivers before or after this? Same year maybe. Around the same time. Yeah. It's a very shivers-esque also.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Mm-hmm. A little bit of the changeling in there maybe. There's just like so much going on. Like, ah. So we're following a fashion model who's done some television work. I thought she was an actor. When Burgess Merritt takes a dig it or it's so good. Yeah, yeah. Who is moving out on her own from her boyfriend, Michael, played by Chris Sarandon, and gets her own apartment in this weird apartment building in New York City. Her friend says, save your money, Mary Michael, which is OK. Also, he is looking at an apartment that costs $1, dollars a month, which is more than $4,000 now. Is that, okay, I was going to ask if you to.
Starting point is 00:07:06 I did my inflation calculator. I have the note, $10,000 a month in 1977. What's that in today's money? A billion? So she finds an apartment, they been turned into apartments. Yeah. Because her apartment has a sliding door in it. It's like, that's not your front door. You're not supposed to have a front door like that. What do you do it?
Starting point is 00:07:28 It doesn't make any sense. And then all hell breaks loose. Quite literally. There's priests. And lesbians. And the the the lesbi. and old people and I don't know what else. Beverly DeAngelo masturbating and smelling your hands afterwards.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Beverly DeAngelo has not a line in this movie, but she says so much. She's young and she's masturbating and sniffing her hands and then is nude for a while later. She speaks not a line. Oh my God. I wonder if when they did National Lampoons Christmas vacation later, Uncle Lewis was like, remember that movie we were in together where you were fucking
Starting point is 00:08:11 masturbating and didn't have any lines? I bet he was. And she's like, I remember cocaine. Yeah, she looks strung out as fuck. What do you do for a living? We fond on each other. What? Who's paying you? It's like cam girls but without any cams. Just girls. How many times in your notes do you have the note, what the fuck am I watching? Not enough. Not enough times as I thought it.
Starting point is 00:08:48 So, uh, we're following, um, Allison. Allison, our star of the movie. And she's, she's having kind of a rough time. She's having, like, fainting spells and stuff. She is having, needing 14 takes to put a wine bottle down on a table, like, this is not fucking hard. That's why I think I could act. thou really thought that that that that that that that that that that that thine that thine thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, um thi, um, um, um, um, um, um, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to, thi. thi. to toa'. to to tooo act. Oh really? I've always thought that. You can get that wine bottle going in the right direction? If you just put the label, it's inexplicable. Also she has a fainting spell and then a horse freaks out and I was like that fucking
Starting point is 00:09:19 thing, that beast. Oh and her father passes away. and her father passes away. Right. Yeah, she goes to visit him in the hospital and these real, real busted-looking Like, yeah. He's straight to crept, yeah. And then when she goes to the funeral or she goes to the meetup with her mom and she's like, I can't go to the funeral and then has the flashback that is the scene. The birthday sex scene. Her father, she, she, she, she, she, she, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's th, she's th, she's th, she's th, she's a school, she's a school, she's a school, she's a school, she's a school, she's a school, she's a school, she's th. th. th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the to to th. to th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, the, the, the flashback that is the scene. The birthday party sex scene, her father, she's a school girl, she comes home from school and walks in on her father having sex with two women, middle-aged women I would say. Yeah. But there's like streamers and party hats and like those party blowers and they're eating cake like real seductively. It's a straight up birthday pretty finished. There was like circus music maybe that might have put that in
Starting point is 00:10:07 there. It's amazing. It's amazing. I love cake. I mean he doesn't. What the actual hell is up with that old man orgy scene? And he slaps her. He slaps her. He starts yelling get the hell out of here, get the hell out of here. And like attacks her. And then she cuts her wrists. Right. And then he's concerned. And then so are the sex ladies, did you notice? And they were like, oh, honey.
Starting point is 00:10:38 So this is the first time that she has committed or tried to commit suicide. And I would say that that that is done amazingly well. It's done by Dick Smith, the same guy that did the special effects on The Exorcist. Oh, okay. And I thought it looked great. I think the effects in this movie in general were very good. Like the scene where she's stabbing the dead father. Yeah, theat thrown. Yeah, thrown. the thiii scene the shea she scene that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. that that that. the the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. S. Sed. Sed. Sed. Sed. Sed. Sed. Sed. Sed. S. S. Sed. S. Sed. S. Sed. S. S. S. Sed. Sed. Sed. S. S. S. S. S. that scene terrified me. Yeah, it's really scary and it's really gross. Like I just saw it finally. Oh did you did you like it? I loved it except like there's this isn't just spoiler but there's a scene with like a person who has leprosy, a leper is chasing one of the children. Yeah and it's like all cartoony like CGI I guess. Oh really? Yeah it it just didn't look I just I wish it had been this instead. Okay. You know. This does have some and we can talk about this later and near the end of it but it's got some unfortunate for I thought
Starting point is 00:11:35 unfortunate treatment of people with deformities in it. Yeah I get a little freaks at the end. Yeah I taught Browning's freaks not just me being an asshole. No geekseks, just freaks. No. Right. No, Linda Cartelini. Yeah. When she moves into this new apartment building, that Michael is non-plussed by her, or just not interested in her kids.
Starting point is 00:11:55 All right, so yeah. And the thing is, too, she's like, part of it is that her mother tells her mother that she that she that she that she that she that she that she that she that she that she that she tells her that she never left her father because she had nowhere to go. Right. So Allison doesn't want to have nowhere to go. She doesn't want to be like dependent on her male partner. Totally get it. Sure. She can't afford it though. No. So like, he's acting like it's a smart decision.
Starting point is 00:12:20 It's not a smart decision. Yeah, it's very, it's handled very weird. And I'm wondering if he's supposed to come off as a little bit cold. Yeah, I guess. He certainly does, so. And I can also understand because there's a back story of she was dating him when his wife died. He was married at the time. Right. So she's a suicide. Quotes, f quotes, suicide.
Starting point is 00:12:45 What do you, Eli Wallach chasing him down? How on earth did he crack that case? There's no evidence. But he just, um, yeah, so she's like, you know, I need a little time before we get married. It's only been two years since your wife killed herself. Well, and she found out that we were together, so... She's like, it's only been two years since you and Karen and I. He's like you and I are not like Karen and I. Yeah because Karen fucking killed herself. Also he just has a thing for depressed ladies.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Maybe, yeah. That mustache would allude to that. The landlady Eva Gardner, pretty great. I felt like she would thought she was in an Italian film and didn't have to like to to to to to like you to like you to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to like to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. they. they. And I two two two two to to two to two to to to to to to to the the the they. the the they and I and I and I and I and I, pretty great. I felt like she thought she was in an Italian film and didn't have to like match up her words to what she was saying at one point. She felt very rosemary's baby to me. Yeah. She was very, like very much, she had to get Allison into this apartment. She's like, it's 800 a month and she's like, I really can only afford 500. She's like, uh, no, I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really like only afford 500. She's like, how about 250? Yeah, right, right, right. She's like, I thought you said 800.
Starting point is 00:13:46 She's like, mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm. Mm-mm. No. So when she moves in, she meets her eccentric neighbor, played by Burgess Meredith. He sort of brings his pets over to her house, which I love. I'm going to start taking my cat's places. You talk about Mortimer the Bird and Jezebel the Cat? Yeah, I feel like I can barely take my baby places. I feel like it's rude to bring my baby.
Starting point is 00:14:08 What do I showed up with Glenn? Just put Glead on your shoulder. Yeah, yeah. That's what the gones sounds like. That they know that. So I was geeking out though when he shows up. like there was something up with Charlie Chazin, aka Purgis Meredith. I'm reading a book about the Salem witch trials right now and one of the women was accused of being a witch and that she had a bird that followed her around a little yellow bird. So when he had mortar
Starting point is 00:14:35 around his shoulder I was like, what? A reference? Yeah. In a movie filled with references. Yeah. But he felt very mini cast event to me. Yeah, he is definitely the like the neighbor, like he's annoying, but you like he's old and you kind of feel sorry for him and you have to like humor him. Yeah. He's steamrolling every conversation, like picking up and naming the wrong presidents and photographs and stuff. And then leaving a framed photo of himself, which is amazing. I loved that so much. Such a good move. I kind of want to do that from now on. Do it.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Get some like JCPenney's pictures of myself and a tux with some flowers. There's no reason not to. But she's like not put off by him. She finds him charming, which is why presumably she allowed him to blindfold her later and take her to another apartment. I got so excited when she got taken to that birthday party for a cat and the cat was wearing a hat and I was like, yay!
Starting point is 00:15:33 Do you think that she has, you'd think, I guess I shouldn't say, do you think, do you would think that she'd have a birthday party a ver. aversion for that whole birthday party sex thing. Do you know what I mean? I do, but she really seemed to love it. She's fine. She was just all giggles. Black and white cake, black and white cat. That was like referencing and later I had no idea why. Does it mean something?
Starting point is 00:15:57 I don't know. Okay. But, oh, and she had already met Beverly DiAngelo and her lesbian lover. Oh right, Gerda and Sylvia. And I only keep bringing up their lesbians because it comes up later in a big way. And they just keep saying these lesbians. They just try to refer to them as the lesbians. But like, they had awkwardly like failed each other up, and
Starting point is 00:16:20 Beverly and agitated in front of her. And then she sees their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they they they they they they she sees him at the party and they're like hey yeah just just yeah and she's just like hey yeah I guess whatever oh it's so strange so she goes to this party and she meets other other tenants yeah other tenants yeah other tenants so it's like everybody who lives in the building I guess right and then a couple former tenants right and there's talk about the priests the the p-up and the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just yeah. Other tenants, so it's like everybody who lives in the building, I guess, right? And then a couple former tenants, right? And there's talk about the priest that lives on the top floor. Right, who she has seen looking out a window. Correct. I just deemed wrong together, I'm sorry. I don't know, that's fine. It's like keeps getting referenced and we see they're in the beginning beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the beginning the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. thease. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the p. Oh yeah and one of them was black and I remember thinking there are no black priests in Italy in 1977 I don't know why I mean I just don't think
Starting point is 00:17:12 that's true. You're probably right. You would know better than I would because I lived in Italy in the 70s. Well you're you remember the Catholic Church you could sense it. That's true. It's the you you you th. But there was like a lot of the priests were people that I'd recognized from other stuff like the one dude is in Dune like it just like all these like yeah because this movie has everybody you've seen in other things and it's so many it's insane. It's insane. It's so many people. For a movie that like up until now was not easy to the the th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So many people. For a movie that like, up until now was not easy to find. Yeah, I feel like nobody's going to listen to this episode because nobody's seen this movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:50 I think it, uh, Orrin Gregg I think was the first person to suggest this to us. And we like, it took us years to find this movie. It's not to be available. Yeah, for to to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to to to be to be to be to be to be to be available. I don't know what their purpose was except for one of them, like the last line of that scene is one of them saying something like, trouble's coming or something. Okay. The only thing I can think is that they're all the keepers of the watchers and their respectable areas. You like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the watchers and their respectable areas You like like regional managers
Starting point is 00:18:25 Yeah, yeah All right, well, you've got to take care of them in Germany and you've got the eastern coast of America Yeah, that's the the only thing I can think that like the reason that they were there Sure, not that this movie has any sense made at any point. I don't think I don't think I don't think we need th th tho tho th. How did you feel about the polka dancing during the cat party? I love polka. Yeah. Boulke, polka. It's just a little little John Candy for him. Um, Gus Polansky. Gus Polansky. With this his character on Home Alone where he's like, pulka, polka, polka. I have not seen Home Alone since like, it was out.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Really? Do you want to watch it for Christmas this year? You know who loves it? Fucking Rob? Loves that movie. And he laughs so hard every time. I'm like, you've seen this 400 times and it's like really not that funny. Does he yell, oh no he didn't at points? Probably.
Starting point is 00:19:27 And then goes, oh Kevin. So out of the cat party, Allison has what I describe as the titty time dream where she's dreaming about everybody from the party and most of them are naked. Just fucking topless. Yep. Oh, they're bottomless as well. Oh, oh they're bottomless as well.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Oh are they? Great. And then she wakes to the chandelier shaking and somebody walking in the apartment which during the party she was told no one's lived there for years. It's uninhabitable in that apartment. Right, because it leaked or something. So she's bugging out. Yeah, so she goes to get Ava gardener to show their, she's, she's, their, she's, she's, their, she's, the, the, she's, the, th, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, the, the, the, their, their, their, the, and she's, and she's, and she's, and she's, and she's their, and somebody, and somebody, and somebody, and somebody, and somebody, and somebody, and somebody, and somebody, and she's, and she's, and she's the, and she's their, and she's their. their. their. their, their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th th th th th thinks, thinks, thinks, thinks, thii. th thi. thii. th thia. their thi. their thiner to show her the apartment I guess to prove that nobody's there? Yeah, because she's like, there's somebody walking around and Aver Gardner's like, no one's lived in this apartment for three years. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:12 So they go like on a tour of the building. Right. But nobody lives in any of the apartments. Except for the top floor where the reveal of nobody living in the apartment or in the building for three years, I have the note, this movie is fun. Oh yeah, you like that? I love that kind of shit. It's like a good ghosty, it's like she was dead all along. Yeah, I eat that up.
Starting point is 00:20:33 I think growing up reading like funny horror comics and stuff. I'm just like, yay, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. You get, you get it. They're all the same. It's all the same. So then she goes back there at night by herself, right? Is that where she sees her dad?
Starting point is 00:20:57 Right, because Michael has sent a detective to go check the building out because he's worried about Allison. Right. Brennan, the detective. Right. He like comes and goes real fast. I like barely saw him. Right. So she goes back up to the apartment, like one of the abandoned apartments.
Starting point is 00:21:13 And this is where the most fucking terrifying scene in this movie. Yeah. And if you've been listening up to this point and not seeing this spoil spoil spoiler alert yeah she is standing in this apartment just like looking around in the doorway and all of a sudden the door that she's open kind of pushes and out of the blackness just of real thin human being comes walking that's painted gray and for some reason this bugged me the fuck out yeah it's her dad it's her dad he didn't look much better alive no but it was just like and he had like those like like gray like egg skin eyes yeah like like like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. th. th. the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. No, but it was just like, and he had like those like gray like egg skin eyes. Yeah, like, like, uh, the milky eyes. Yeah, the milk, that's the one.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Milky eggs, you got it. I believe that egg was right. I did. I think they do a thing where they like, like, like, they shave the alib-like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, the, the, the, the, like, like, like, like, the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the in the day. Why would you let someone put an egg on your eye? I don't know. Maybe it'll be like a I would moisten and cleanse. It's dumb as hell. Like those people that put cucumbers on their eyes. That's not weird? I guess it's not on their open eye.
Starting point is 00:22:14 That's not how it works. That's not in razor blades. Yeah. Which was great. And then, yeah, it just starts stabbing the shit at him because she's got a kitchen knife that she brought upstairs. The effects in that are really good. I loved it. Yeah. Killing it.
Starting point is 00:22:34 I have a note that says Dick Smith. Killing it. And she runs out into to help her. That is not how it would happen. 1977? Nope. Nope. Remember that lady the died or whatever? Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Yeah. What was that? Was that an American life episode really did that? That was the worst. Oh, I don't know. So then we meet Eli Wallach and Christopher Walkin as cops. Christopher Walkin is like young and weird. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And has very few lines also.
Starting point is 00:23:06 I don't know if he has any. He was like two lines, maybe. I mean, this is definitely early. This is like around the time of like the deer hunter and all that stuff. So like, still handsome, still lye, the dancer body. I find him in that like, you're so th so weird so weird so weird so think he also just like, he's got swagger coming out for days. Oh yeah, for sure. Um, cops and horror movies though. Love them. The worst. Totally ineffective. So we meet Eli Wallach, who is a detective. And he just starts throwing
Starting point is 00:23:41 out these bananas assertions about, like, okay, so they're investigating the stabbing that Allison reports to have done, and they're questioning her boyfriend about it, but they're like, he's asking all these questions that don't make any sense about something that happened previously, but it turns out he was right, I guess? Yeah. How could he possibly have known? Because we thought he was a shitty cop, but it turns out he's the best cop. He could, he sure. I assume he just had multiple notebooks hidden in that giant tie that he was wearing, that he could keep referencing. I guess. We've also seen Chris Sarandon making phone calls to an office, but I guess it was Brennan's office? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:24:31 he's trying to find Brennan because as of the night that Brennan went to look for, or checking on the apartment, he is no longer, he can't be found anymore. And then he turns up in a car with the same stab wounds that her father had. Oh, right. Okay. With his like nose is hacked off and stuff. Okay, fine. Which is another bang up job. Now, here's where everything just goes totally off the rails. I have no more notes.
Starting point is 00:24:57 I don't know what happens. I mean, I know, oh my goodness. You have taken notes for both of us. It just doesn't, it just spirals out of control. She like goes to confession. Yeah, and meets up with the priest that we saw in the first scene. Yeah. Who's been going to check in on the priest that's staring out the window? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:17 And he's like, hey man, just come found when she went back for her father's funeral. Right. It's a very weird accessory to just take on all of a sudden. Sure, sure. And it kind of matches the ring that the priest is wearing. So she feels like an affinity with him because of that. Yeah. Monsignor Francino, I believe his name is. Spicy, meet the ball. Oh, there's like the great tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha thatatatatatatian that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, thi, thi, thi, thi, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, th. thi. thi. thi. thi. that's, thi. that's, thi. that's, that's, that's thi. that's that's that's thi. that's that's that's that's that's thi. that's that's that's that's, that's, that's, that's, th's like the great scene where she's she's looking at books and she's like this book just has the same text on every page. Yeah. I loved that. Yeah okay
Starting point is 00:25:50 and Chris Annan's like no it doesn't it's in English and she's like no it's Latin and he's like every page is different she's like no they're the same and she writes down what she sees what she sees what she sees what she sees what she sees what she sees thus to thus what the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the is the is the the the the the the the is the is the is the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is is th is is th is is the the the the the th is is the the the th is the th is th is the th is the is the is the is the is the is the is the the the te is te is te is te is the te is the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the on every page? She just sees it that way? It had something to do with like what's going to happen to her later. The Latin has like reference to what's going to happen to her later. So it just kind of keeps building where she keeps passing out, she keeps fainting, and they don't ever take her to a doctor and it was infuriating me. But even her boyfriend's like, did you call?? their their to their to their to do to do to do their to do their to do to do to do their to do to do their their to do to do to do their to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do something something to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do something something something something something something something something to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do their a their a their a their a their a their. It?? It's their. their. their their their th. the. the. their their the. the. their the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. that. that.ainting and they don't ever take her to a doctor and it was infuriating me. But even her boyfriend's like did you call the doctor and she's like nah? Yeah, okay. I mean he has a phone. It's true but if you're someone
Starting point is 00:26:34 tells you you know they don't want to you can't just force them. It's true but I mean if we want to go full Rosemary's baby they should have a doctor come come to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go the to go to go the the to go to go the the the the to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th th th the the an to. try. to. try. try. to. try. try. try. to to to at her against her. Yeah, he should have showed up in this movie. He should have showed up in this movie. He was surprised he didn't. So there's like, we're running the storylines now of Eli Wallach and Chris were walking, like investigating the new murder of Brennan and the old murder of Michael's wife. Which there sure is a murder even though she apparently jumped off a bridge. Right. Not a lot of evidence. That's all I'm saying. It's cops intuition, man. All right, fine.
Starting point is 00:27:09 They were right. How could they be right? They were right. They go back to reenact. They go back to reenactment. Oh, that reenact the murder of her father that she thinks she's done. Yeah, these murder reenactments are just weird man. She's fine with it. She's like in the nose here right here. She just rolls with the bunches. Yeah. So she starts getting like super sick. Yeah, you can tell because she's like wearing less makeup. She's a beautiful woman. She's a beautiful woman. She's a beautiful woman. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like, she's like, she's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like, she's like. She's. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. She's a beautiful. a Charlie's Angel. She does. And I was like, why aren't you in more things? And I checked, she's not in a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 00:27:45 No, she didn't work much. And she's not a bad actress in this? No, she was fine. Better than her friend, I'll tell you what. I feel like that's like a 70s trobe of like, Yeah, and where the both of them wearing those like broad-legged whites like high-waisted slacks. Love them. You gotta be you gotta be a certain bill to pull those off like, that's not for me. It's not for me either. So there's the great scene where when Michael finds out it's Milton because he goes to the priest and the priest like. Oh no he goes to the um, um, this is when Michael turns into the detective and I started zoning out just a little bit. It gets very Italian like Gialo movie with this like
Starting point is 00:28:29 Say it. Gialo. Gialo. There you go. Um. It's been a while since we've got to do that little bit. Where he uh yeah, yeah he's trying to solve the crime now, because he's convinced there's something going on with Allison, and you're like, oh, now you care. And also, he's like first building this movie. He had not been in it much before this, and suddenly he's like, hey guys, I'm on this. It's going down. Yeah. So he goes to meet with a very forgetful professor, who like, explains to him that it was easy to him that it, to him to him to him that it, to him, to him, to him, to him, to to thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, he's not, he's not, he's not th. He had not thi, he had not thi, he had not thi, he had not thi, he had not th. He had not th. He had not, he had not, he th. He th. He th. He th. He, he th. He, he th. He, he th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He thi, he thi, he was not thi, he was not thi. He's not thi. He's not thi. thi. he thi. He's not thi. He's not he he he he he he he he he he he he the because it's from Milton. Oh right, right, right. And then he goes to meet with Monsignor Francino. And he's like, hey, I've got this passage from Milton. Do you recognize?
Starting point is 00:29:11 And the guy's like, no, I don't know what that is. I don't know what you're talking about. Obviously, knowing what he's tauand. But also, you could just say, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you've read that. Right, and also there's no incriminating yourself and saying that you know what it's from. But there definitely is when you're like, no, oh, no. Exactly. So this is my favorite thing that happened.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Well, one of my favorite things that happened is that Michael, you know, he's a lawyer. I don't know if we mentioned that. nefarious friend, so he brings Uncle Lewis, and they break into the diocese to go in to get the file on the priest that's in the building. Yeah, Father Halloran, yeah. Right. And this is when it's revealed, which is hilarious, just like, because, like, the uncle's like, because, like, the uncle's, like, like, the uncle. Like, the thi. jacket. Yeah, he's a lock pick I think is like his thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But Chris Arenda isn't like... Is it like a lockpick? Yeah, lock picker? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:30:07 look pick. He's a thief class? Yeah, a rogue if you will. But Chris Arrendon is like full black turtle neck and black slacks and black leather jacket. He's like, oh, I can't dress up. I can dress up. I can't thrass th. I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can't dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress dress dress dress dress dress dress dress I can dress I can dress dress I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress. I can dress. I can dress. I can dress. I can dress. I can dress. I can dress. I can dress. I can dress. I can dress I can dress I can dress I can dress I can dress I can dress I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up I can dress up. I can dress up. I can dress up. I can dress up. I can dress up. I can dress up. I can dress up. I can dress up. I'd. I wish you'd been wearing a bonac sweater. Just wait, that'll happen in a few years' time. I know, I need to re-watch Friday night. It's so good. Perfect time of year. That's true. So they find these files and they realize that the priest that's in the apartment building is John Caradine, which they should have freaked out about him being John Caridine, and that he had tried to kill himself and then like becomes a priest. Like he wasn't a priest, tries to kill himself, becomes a priest. And they find these files with a bunch of other people that have done us. I like how they had like a before and after photo of each of them?
Starting point is 00:30:55 Why? I don't know. Why are they all in like the same file folder? Why are they back and wrote? It's like, it's the file, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th.. Like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the's the philologist, like the tab just says like incriminating stuff. No, see. And then they find one for Allison that just has the before photo. Right. And the text that says on this date she became the watcher. And it's tomorrow. It's a morrow. Good thing they found it today. Which again, this movie is real fun.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Yeah. I love that shit. Yeah. And he like knows that midnight, it'll happen at midnight too. He's like, well, you can't be alone after midnight, so I'm gonna leave you alone. Yeah, right, right. Fuck an idiot. So he goes back to her apartment and goes up to confront the priest. And he finds out that it's a gate to hell.
Starting point is 00:31:50 How does he find out? They just tell him, right? Yeah, yeah. They just let go by the way. Or maybe he doesn't, no, he doesn't find that. We don't know that he knows that yet because he gets hit out, he gets killed. I missed that and that explains the last scene. Fucking cool, I get it now. So Allison gets back to the apartment and she runs upstairs.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Having left the party, despite being told not to leave the party. Exactly. She's a liberated woman. I mean, she's got her own place. Yeah. And she meets Burgess Meredith, who explains to her that this is a gate from the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, theatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheathe, th, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, thea, thea, thea, who explains to her that this is a gate from Hill. We finally see John Carradine. Wait, wait, wait, I want to say one other thing. Please. All the other people that she met at that party who were supposed to be the other tenants
Starting point is 00:32:34 of the building were like dead murderers. Why? Why? Why? Oh, that's right. That's what? That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. the. th. the. the. th. the movie forever. Yeah, just as of years. Why? Why? Why? He's like, oh, all these people who've lived in this apartment building were all murderers or suicides. But they really did live in the apartment building, right? Right.
Starting point is 00:32:52 And then they were all murderers. That's convenient. Like, that this is a gate to hell, and that Allison should come join them. But he's saying this amongst all of these people with... People start filing in. Yeah. And these people with like...
Starting point is 00:33:13 Some have physical deformities. Some are just wearing shitty Halloween. Yeah. But like, and the first, like, there's one guy who has like a really overly pronounced like lip deformity that came in and I was like oh that's not prosthetic no it's like elephant titus is that what that is I think I don't know like and I was just like oh I guess this is 77 and I just kind of have to be cool with what's going on right now but like if this came out today I'd be super bombed yeah but so there's this procession of these deformed people and like dead zombie-ish people. And some of them are just like Beverly DeAngelo.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Yeah, yeah. No longer masturbating. Or smelling her hands. The smell of her hands thing is so fucking amazing. It was so like, I hope that that that, she was like, I'm going to do this now. And they were like, don't talk tha, don't tha, don't tha, don't tha, don't tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, th, thi, thi, tho, th, th, th, I th, I th, I th, th, th, th and th and th and th. And, tho, tho, tho, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, I th. And, I th. And, I th. And, I th. And, I th. And, I th. And, I th. And, I th. And, I thi, I thi, I thi, I'm to the, I'm to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to theean, they thean, talk, Sandra, you don't talk. And then Chris Sarandon comes up out of the mob of people and explains to her. That makes so much sense. I was like, how did he get here? Why isn't he helping? I mean, he's dead. Well, they show the side of his head where he's covered in blood. I don't. I don't know. I'm tired. the the the their. their. their. their. I'm. their. their. their. I'm. th. I'm. th. th. I'm. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to th. their. th. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. t. t. t. t. t. t. tode. to. to. to. to. to. to. the the th. the the the the the th. the the th. t her that it's a gate to hell and that, you know, she can be with him forever. And Burgess Mary turns out to be kind of like an impish devil, basically. And uh... Does she understand at this point what her fate is?
Starting point is 00:34:38 Well, this is when the priest comes in. Okay, okay. And he's got this big gold cross and it's basically like you can be the watcher and protect us all from this. Yeah. But you just gotta sit here and hold this cross for, you know, until next time. Until the next time, yeah. And this is where like zombie monster, John Kerrie, and comes like crushing up and hands her the cross.
Starting point is 00:35:01 And she takes it and then all the demons like slink back out of the room I guess they're supposed to be demons all the dead people yeah and that scene looked really awesome yeah real creepy and Burgess Meredith has totally let down in her and then we see her in full nun regalia with a zombie face well the realtor is trying to like get another young couple or a young couple to move into the other the building down they they're the the the they they they they they they they they they they the the they they they the the the they they the the they the the the they the they they they to to to to to to to to they they they to they to to the to to to the they the they they they the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their to to to to to to to to to to to to to to te. te. te. te. true. true. true. true. te. te. te. they they they're they knock the building down. They knock the building down after the Gate to Hell scene. They do. And then they rebuild like this new, modern-looking building. Oh, and that's when Tom Berenger shows up. And then they're like, he's like, oh, he's been at the end.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Oh, he's man, does anybody else live here? And she's like, oh, there's a nun on the top floor of it. She's a recluse. And then the camera pans off to her and sad music starts to play. Whoa. The Sentinel. Whoa. We didn't even encapsulate how insane this movie is. It's also just paced so strangely, where it's like an hour and 10 minutes of like not much happening and then all of a sudden it's like, oh fuck, k-bomb, you know, like. But interspers, there's the weirdest things. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:36:09 That's true. There's just 15 seconds. Just weird shit every now and then. Geez. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:19 Knak. Yeah. Katie, you know what I'm gonna ask you. No, I don't want any cake. You sure? No. I probably fuck up some cake right now. Yeah, let's eat some cake. Do you want to go to the ratings phase? Why are you putting your hands at me like that? I was being impressive. Since this is a visual medium, I'm glad you're really...
Starting point is 00:36:41 Could you guys hear those invisible oranges I was holding? Yeah, let's do it. All right. Do you want me to go first? Um, yeah. Yeah. Kitty, I really like this movie. You had not seen it before. I had not seen it before, but I wanted to.
Starting point is 00:36:59 There's a lot of them. Really? But I still have a lot of years left to watch them. Really? Yeah. Yeah. But I still have a lot of years left to watch them. This movie was bonkers. And I read a bunch of reviews before I watched they were like, it's just derivative and it's trite. And then I watched it and I was like, yeah, yeah, it is. It's great. It's really fun. Yeah. All the way up until the people with deformities showed up and I was like, oh, oh. Oh, 70s. Why ain't gotta do this? But yeah, I love this movie. I had a lot of fun watching it.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Missy and I watched it together and she had a lot of fun too. So I'm gonna give this an eight and a half. Whoa, high score. Yeah. I also really enjoyed this movie. Oh, nice. I feel like it took a lot of the best parts of those other movies, of which which which which which which which which which it is, of which it is, of which it is, of which it is, of which it is, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, and, and, and, thi, thi, thi, thi, too, and, and, and, too, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, thi..... And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. toa. toa. toa. t t t th it is derivative and mix them all together in a pot. So like, that's a good pot, you know what I mean? It's not original, it's not inventive, it's weird.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Yeah. It is distasteful. Oh yeah, that's a really good way to put it. Thanks, I got it off Wikipedia. But I agree. You should have just owned that one. Yeah. You know, I don't want to plagiarize. Ah, I'm going to give it an eight. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:12 I think people should definitely see this movie. Yeah. It's bonkers. It's just, it's so much of it is boring. And then when it's bonkers, it's funkers. It's so thinnickers. It's th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is fun th is fun th is fun th is fun th is fun th is fun th is fun th. th. th. th, it's bonkers in the most 70s ways that it can be bonkers. Yeah, it's super 70s. And I, it really reminds me a lot of shivers, which I loved as you know.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Yeah, and I mean, we didn't even really hit home how good Jeff Goldblum is in the tiniest role in this movie. What he's just like, he's just like, just disgusted with her at one point and then very concerned. Like just like in the background, he's like, oh, it's Jeff Goldblum though. It's just being so Jeff Goldblumy. It's just that thing of like when you know an actor from so many things, you see them in a really bid role. You're like, I know that guy. No, I don't know that guy. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just being. It's just just being being. It's just being being. It's just being being being just just being being just being being just being just being. It's just just just being being. It's just just being. It's just just just being. It's just just being. It's just. It's. Oh, okay. Yeah. I feel like you should have a good cop quip. He always has a good cop quip at the end of the cold open for every episode of Law & Order. Like, it'll be like a dead ice cream man and he'll be like, guess he'll be on ice. It's not like, that wasn't a very good example. I couldn't think of anything.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Or like a dead teacher and he'll be like, oh, school's out. Full's out. Fucking Lenny Brisco. Lenny Brisco is an amazing name. I know, he's an amazing character. Oh. So yeah, you see this movie. See it.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Not you, others. I mean, I'll go watch it again. You still got that time on that rental? No, I don't. No, that expired days ago. Um, Kaby. Yeah. You know what time of urine is? Uh-huh. Why would you be even? I don't know, I need a shower. I mean, I understand that it's like 80 degrees out right now, so you probably aren't too much into the Halloween spirit. There's Christmas shit at Target by the way. I know, it's in the Halloween section. It's obscene. Like it's infesting.
