Starting point is 00:00:00 Remember how Natasha Yarr fucked Dana with his dick, with Data's dick? I was wondering if this would come up. Well, out of the gate, here we are, Dada's dick. Do you remember that? No. It's the second episode of TNG. Is it really? It remember that? No. It's the second episode of TNG. Is it really? Yeah, it's that early on?
Starting point is 00:00:29 They get right into the ding-dong town. Yeah, it's like everybody like gets sort of drunk on the ship from some like something that happens. God, that seems like episode four fodder. It's episode two. Season one, episode two. And I was like, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, thia, thia, that, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. It's th. It's th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, one, episode two. Wow. And I was like, that thing has a dick? And then I've been talking about it for now five calendar years. So you didn't get into next generation until most recently.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Oh yeah. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Because it was a big deal when I was in seventh grade. Which would have made me, um, invisible. A twinkle in my father's ponytail eye. Just kidding. But close. Yeah Tasha Yarr right up in this movie. Tasha Yarr. She didn't work a lot, right? No. I didn't, I meant to look this up about the thing that I told you about she being a member of Bing Crosby's family and them ruining her career because she posed nude in some magazine.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Oh yeah. You meant to look it up? Yeah, but I totally forgot to. Yeah, well. We can do it real quick if you want. Sure. She is Bing Crossby's granddaughter. That's true. So yeah, I didn't know any research, so. Whatever. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Wearable Ambulance. I'm Alan. I'm Katie. We're talking pet cemetery. I feel like Stephen Kang's pet the teate, would just be spelled correctly. Yeah. This was a teaching moment for the parents in this neighborhood that they could have taught the kids to spell cemetery. It's true. Or like put pants on gauge because he's never fucking wearing pants. Poor little diapered butt just hanging out, you know? Until he's dressed like he's from the fucking turn of the last century. You mean when he joins the like merchant marines? So this is, as the trailer touts like the most well-selling of any of Stephen King's books. themetery? Poor theate. Poor touts, like, the most well-selling of any of Stephen King's books,
Starting point is 00:02:26 Pet Cemetery, I don't know. I don't know. But the trailer's really hitting it. I certainly did not watch the trailer of this film. And we did not mean to be doing a back-to-back loss of child movie. I didn't even think about that. No, it feels great. I'm tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I's, I's, I's. I's. I's. I's. Everything's fine. Real quick. Yeah. If you put your cat into a cemetery that brings it back from the dead and it comes back
Starting point is 00:02:51 and it's the worst cat you've ever met? You should do that to your baby too. Yeah, and then your wife, 100%. Hundo all the way. So I'm trusting that you would not make the same decisions that this shitty shitty husband did. No I'm totally doing that. Lewis Creed. I love that movie. It was like the what like the sixth Rocky movie? It was a good time. I didn't see that I still haven't seen it. It's great. You know you'll cry a lot. I think I cry at everything. Okay this movie, picture this a station wagon pulls up to a house with a for sale sign with a sold sign on top of it. A happy family gets out.
Starting point is 00:03:28 It's every horror movie we've ever fucking done. God damn it, Stephen King. Also, they didn't check to see how busy the road was. No, you think you would know. You have a cat that you led outside of the house. Two little babies. And a child who is just demonically drawn to roadways. And you're a doctor. And you're, yeah. So you got a little money at least. Yeah. Put up a fucking fence.
Starting point is 00:03:57 This movie would be entirely solved by fences. You know what I mean? It's like how every episode of Three's Company would be solved with a posted note? I have never seen an episode of Three's Company in my life. But I will say like every episode of Seinfeld would be solved with a cell phone. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Because that's my generation's Threes Company. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, you ever read the monkeys ball? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Then someone in this movie should have done that too. Yeah. So we meet the doctor, uh, Louis Creed and his wife, uh, Rachel Goulden, uh. Rachel, Rachel, the father hates Lewis. Is it because he's not a Jew? I think it's just because he's a shitty dude. He's not, though. He's, th. He, th. He, th. He, th. He, th. He, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, tho. Yeah, the the the the the the the the the the the the the tho-a. Yeah, tho-a, tho-he tho-a. Yeah, her father hates Lewis. Is it because he's not a Jew? I think it's just because he's a shitty dude. He's not though. He's like, okay. Oh, I'm not a fan. Well, is it because of the things that he does after the death? I mean, like, objectively, he's like a nice dad. He loves those kids. He seems to love her. He has a good job. He's taking care of the family. He's like nice to the neighbor. He's not a shitty
Starting point is 00:05:05 dude in my opinion. He makes bad choices. Yeah, it's a really bad choices. We all make bad choices sometimes like burying our children in the McMack burial grounds. There's something about him that rose me the wrong maybe just because I've seen this movie. Maybe it's because he's a doctor and everyone keeps calling him doctor including his wife. Because I started calling the the the the the the the the the doctor. He the doctor. He the doctor. He he he he he he he he, he he, he to to to to to th. I th. He's to th. He's to to be to be to be to be to be to be th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's t. He's t. He's t. He's te. He's te. He's te. He's teeee. He's te. He's te. He's te. He's te. Because I started calling Rob Project Manager after this. I was like, hey, PM, take me some tea. And he was like, what? And they live across the street from Herman Monster. God rest his soul.
Starting point is 00:05:38 And also, the judge from my cousin Minnie, which is like, as you know, one of my favorite films. You're going to know him from my cousin Minnie. It's so funny. About once a month I do the, my biological clock has taken like this and stomped my foot, which is what Marissa Tobe does. I love Marissa Toeme. Oh, she's amazing. Best actress that year.
Starting point is 00:05:58 That year? She won the Oscar. Yeah, best actress. I'm not even fucking that that. It's true. Okay. I know I lie about Oscars all the time. This time I am not. Herman Munster just like, just is down to take them to the cemetery. He's totally into the cemetery. I had not seen this since I was young. I thought he was a bad guy. I mean, he kind of this. Well, have you, if you read the book the book the book the book the book the book the book the book the book the book the book the book the book the book theist. Well, have you read the book? Merza Dome won best supporting actress, I'm sorry. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:06:31 That's your Oscar moment. Yeah, well, Oscar Corner with incorrect facts. I feel like he doesn't make any sense as a human being Judd. He's just there to have the manor accent. And it seems like in the book, he feels indebted to Lewis because his wife has a heart attack and Lewis saves her. Oh. So that at least makes some sense, and not just that he felt bad that the kid's cat died. Because in this movie, Lewis doesn't save shit from nobody.
Starting point is 00:07:06 No. They've got like the lady who's the helper around the house that's having stomach problems. What is her purpose in this movie? To hang herself later? Literally, her character serves no purpose, does she? She's just the other mainer accent that's in the movie. And she is in one of my favorite episodes of the Exiles. Oh, is she? Yeah, it's like a sort of faculty-esque episode where these teachers are Satan worshippers. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:07:29 I do remember that? Yeah. But yeah, I just don't, like, I don't understand why he, why Judd is so infatuated with this pet cemetery. I don't know. And who's presumably to get to spot the the the to spot his craze dog. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what, and I don't know why that lady dies. Is it just to show that Rachel is afraid of death? I mean, but they've done that 10 other times. And also like no one feels great about funerals. No. But I do think that we that we that we that we that we that we that we that we that we that we that we that we that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should that we should th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi th. th. th. th. great about funerals. No. But I do think that we should have a healthier relationship with death, which I think is
Starting point is 00:08:08 what Judd's trying to do. In what way should we have a healthier relationship with death? I mean we're just so cut off from it that this at this point. Like the you know the reason your living room is called a living room is because it used to be the dead room, not the living room. Well, they changed the name to the living room. So they're getting bad PR. Because funeral homes became a thing. So they, and it's like, oh, this is now the living room.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Interesting. So we used to have a much more intimate relationship with death than we do now. I'm not a big fan of the idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea. Sure. Because we, it's totally, I mean, if that's all you had known, though, it would have been a normal thing. But that, I mean, a lot of people only knew shitting outside, too. I'm not going to go back to that. Okay. I'm just saying. make it right. Sure. It's just like the same way that we we have a completely like divorced relationship, not everyone, but a lot of people have a divorced
Starting point is 00:09:06 relationship from their, like where their food comes from and all that stuff. Sure. But yeah, mine comes from hello fresh, get yours that. God damn, we got to get that money. I know. To bark box anything. Somebody, anyone? Does anybody know anyone? But so Jud takes them toto the cemetery because they've noticed the path and he's like, oh, that's a thing. I can take a tone, show you. And then like, they're going out. Please continue. Yeah. So he takes them out there on like the second day that they're there and it's a wonderful little walk out and and Tashi R is immediately. they. they. they. they. I I I I th like th like th like th like th. I th like th like th. I th. I th. I th. I don't like th. I don't like th. I don't like th. I don't like they they they're they they're they're to th. I don't like they they're they're they're they're they're to to they're to to to to to they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're like. I they're like. I they're like. I they're like. I they they they they they they they they they they they're like. I they're like. I they're like. I don't like. I don't like. I don't like. I don't like. I don't like. to to t. today. today. today. today. today. today. took. took. took. took. I today. I today. I they're there on like the second day that they're there and it's a wonderful little walkout and Tashiyar is immediately just bugged out because there's death near her she's like I don't like it I don't like it at all yeah
Starting point is 00:09:51 maybe don't ever get a pet then because heads up they're gonna die before you I know they're gonna die before you and then you're gonna replace them with another one and that one's gonna die too and that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's that that that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th I th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi I th I th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're th I th I th I th I thin thin thi thi thi to to to to to to to to to the to to the the the the the the the the the tho tho the the the the the that's the life cycle of pets. And if you're like me you're just gonna like worry about it the entire time that you have that. Yeah. I spent a lot of time looking at Mr. Poopies and being like, how you doing? you're doing okay. I think about Mr. Poopies on the rig too. Yeah. I like that cat. He's doing okay. the road that they live on, which their house is very their their house is very their house is very their house is very their house is very their house is very their house is very their house is very their house is very their house is very their house is very th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. their. their. th. the. the. the. th. the. th. the. th. th. th. th the road. Yeah. Trucks drive by it, oh, I don't know, six, seven, 100 miles an hour. Constantly. Warp speed. Warp 6, as Tasha would call it. They're about a Data's Dick Fest.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Yeah, oh man. So they go to the Pet Sematary. Tasha Yard is freaked out. The dad's like keeps looking over at Judd being like, wumm, am I right? There's a lot of those like back, in fourth glances between the two of them. And then there's that giant pile of sticks. Yeah, why? To keep you from going any further? You mean where the blue light is coming from?
Starting point is 00:10:55 Come on, Stephen King. Come on. No subtety in that man. Does not have a subtle bone in his body, does he? No. No. Especially when he's playing the preacher later. Oh, he's so great. I love it with Stephen King. As much as I dislike it what Mnighamalan shows up in things? You like it when Stephen King does? What is the, what is the double standard there? Because he always just seems coaked out of his mind? He shows up in things, especially in the 80. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. It. It. It. It, th. It, th. It's, the the the the the th. It's, the the standard there? Because he always just seems coaked out of his mind. He shows up in the 80s. It's true. There's apparently a story about him talking about directing maximum overdrive.
Starting point is 00:11:33 And he's feeling like, oh I don't know. I was on so much fucking cocaine when we were doing that. Wow. Stephen King. And that, like my Tasha, our information may be completely incorrect. But I like it. I'm sticking with it. I know, I think when we say things, they become the truth. We are on the internet.
Starting point is 00:11:52 We can rewrite history. Is this fake news? Is this fake news? Why do I have the note, don't shilly, shally? Someone must have said that? I don't know. They get the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat the cat? the cat? tap? tap? tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tape? tape? tape? tape? tape? tape? tape? tape? tap? t. t. tap? t. They get the cat fixed to keep him from running into the road, or like maybe just to be responsible, pet owners get the cat fixed? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Yeah, I have a lot of notes yelling at them for not getting their cat spayed and or neutered faster. I'm like this. No one heard Bob Barker ever. See, that seems like a reference that you shouldn't get, but I guess that's of your time. I mean that's a staying home from school sick thing for me. Watch some Planko, spin that wheel, get your cat spade or neutered. Mine was Gilligan's Island. Oh yeah, I watched a lot of Gilligan's Island. Gilligan's Island and bewitched. Yeah, I don't like bewitched as much as Gilligan's Island, but I was pretty fucking into Gilligan's Island. So good.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Every episode was the exact same fucking thing. And all those natives were so racist. Oh God, I... But the professor was so cute. It's true. It might have been like my first, one of my first celebrity crushes. Ah. Without realizing that it was like 30 years too late. So what's Dr. Lewis Creed's relationship to the guy who haunts him? He doesn't
Starting point is 00:13:11 save him, but he was already pretty much dead by the time he got there. So, yeah. What? They were like college kids running him in? Yeah. Yeah, it seemed like he was a, just a jogger, or something and they found it, because he's the doctor on campus but it's an emergency room so I don't know. Very confusing. And these college kids run him in and he's all busted up, head wound. He's dead. Yeah. So I don't, he's not mad at Dr. Creed. He wants to help him. But why? Would you be bummed if you're in corporeal for everybody was wearing shorty shorts? Yes, I would. He didn't get to be a Victorian ghost. That's so much better.
Starting point is 00:13:53 I know. That rough. Yeah, not just shorty shorts. He has those great last words though about the soil of a man or whatever. The dying man's, the dying man says the soil of a man or whatever the dying man's so the dying man says the soil of a man's heart is stonier Lewis I'll come to you yeah I feel like my last words are gonna be like oh no oh brother and then I'm gonna die and then I'll be like fucking shit you know oh brother oh brother good grief you gonna die in a peanut strip and then they'll be like the thin? Oh brother. Oh, brother, good grief.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Are you gonna die in a peanut strip? It's a good way to go. Well, don't shilly, Shelly, if you do. I would never. So he comes to Lewis Creed in a dream, or not a dream, and takes him to the pet cemetery. Yeah. And says don't go beyond those branches. Yeah, which is what they, they. they. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they. They're. They're they, they. they. they. they they they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They go. They go. They go. They go. They go. They go. They go. They go. They go. They go. they go. they go. they go. they go and takes him to the pet cemetery. Yeah and says don't go beyond those branches. Yeah where they glow they glow blue don't do that. Which is what the branches are telling you not to do. Exactly. You see that stop sign over there? Yeah you're gonna want to stop at it.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Just give it a stop give it a full stop. Whatever. Just give it a a full stop. to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the full stop the full stop the full stop the full stop the full stop the full stop. the full stop. the full stop. the full stop. Give it a the the the the the the the the their their the full stop. Give it a their their their their their their their their their their their their their it a full. Give it a full their it a full their it a full their it a full their it a full stop. their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the full stop. their their their tree. their their their their their their their their their. their their their their the. I would, I just, there's no, whatever. So the cat dies, predictably. Yeah, the family, everybody else goes to Lewis's in-laws and he's not welcome there so he stays behind. Because he's not Jewish. You think that's what it is? I thought they just didn't like him. Well, but why? I don't, because I decided he was shit he made him intend into.
Starting point is 00:15:25 And of course the cat dies fucking immediately. Oh yeah. They were like, all right, see you later. So Judd takes him over the stick pile. Yeah, for 10 hours they walk in real time. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, it's like, what was it the fog? Yeah. Just watching her walk down to the light house. Oh yeah, oh my god, it's like, what was it, the fog? Yeah, I'm just just watching her walk down to the lighthouse. Oh God. But it's just like they climb a mountain, they come back down the mountain, they go through the forest. If I can be honest, I think I probably got up and got a snack because I just... You were fine to, yeah. I don't recall that and I don't recall that and I that and I that and I that and I that I th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th that that that that that that that the the the the the the they their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. th. the. the. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their their their their their I don't think that I, I'm sure I just walked away. I mean, at least Pumpkinhead, they just went into a swamp that shouldn't have been anywhere near them and went and found an old lady.
Starting point is 00:16:09 That swamp was amazing. I know, yeah. And it was so much quicker. They were just at the swamp immediately. Yeah, I don't need the cat and you're not going to believe this guy's. The cat comes back and it's shitty. It's not a nice cat. No, he's all hissy and scratchy. And Lewis immediately goes, they were burying me people there. Yeah. And then he gets told the story about the war vet that came home and got
Starting point is 00:16:49 buried there and then was never the same and they had to burn his house to. Why did they have to, there were so many ways to deal with that that didn't involve burning an innocent man in his home. I don't know that's just the way they used to do things right? No. Should we call the cops? I don't thua the cops. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to do things right? No. Should we call the cops? I don't know, I got burning stuff. It's just insane. It's just insane. It's just thee. It's completely nuts. Then we find out about Rachel's sister's Zelda Goldman. This in my child memory is locked in as being fucking terrifying. Yee. Not just a man in a wig. Well I I have like, so there's, her sister has spinal meningitis. Not what happens when you have meningitis. Not even fucking close, not even fucking remotely, not even in the same medical dictionary as spinal meningitis.
Starting point is 00:17:38 And Stephen? In my, I would have been, uh, what? Buh, blah, blah, what? Carry the two, 15 when this movie came out. Okay. And I think I saw it in the theater. And like, for some reason I have like, when there's that scene where like, she rolls over and you can see her back
Starting point is 00:17:56 and it's all fucking like fucked up. Like, there were like, the implication I guess. I thought it was that she was all twisted and weird. I think there's that too but that's not it's just like very a virus that causes very high fever right and kills you. Yeah as far as I know like do some fucking I know we don't do any research we also aren't best sellers sellers the the the the the the the the the the th th th th th th th th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi's thi. thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's is is is is. I's is. I's is. I's is. I's is. I's is. I's is. I's is. I's is. I's is. I's. I's th. I's th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. I's thi. I's to to to thi. I'm to to to to to t. to t. I'm t. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I, yeah. Yeah. Do you even get, like, do some fucking, I know we don't do any research. We also aren't bestsellers. So, yeah, what books do we got? Also, Rachel needs therapy and she needs it badly. I agree, but she does rock a sweater best short combo, like nobody's business.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Her outfits are all very, very good in this. She wears a lot of like a halter dresses kind of and just she looks great. Yeah. Even when she's just traveling to and from her parents else she's dressed like she's going to the office which I really liked business travel. You're not a business person and you're not going anywhere in business fucking wear that skirt suit. It's like they were trying to figure out some way of saying you know. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the to to the to the to to the to the the the to to the to to the to to to to to to to to to to to their. S. th. their the. to to to to to to that to that that that that that that that that that that that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt that skirt to to to to to to to to to the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. thi. the. the. the the the the try. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the try were trying to figure out some way of saying, you know she's a yuppie, right? Yeah, as if we weren't already sure by her calling her husband Doc. So the missy, they're the woman who's helping out around the house who has stomach issues hangs herself. With a note-pinned-doer this is I'm sure I have cancer later dudes. All right. I'm out. I'm out. Yeah. And then we go to the funeral and Stephen Kang is the minister. Waving his arms in the air, just just so happy to be there. Just happy to be there under the sunlight, you know.
Starting point is 00:19:32 His acting is so good in creep show. And I feel like that's the level he has to be at to be a good actor. He just has to be like full-blown goof-fow. And, yeah. And in this he's like, can it, can I get goofy? No? No, no, not really like a good scene. Like, um, that scene in The Shining with Brian from Wings, I have it on DVD. It was an accident. I know there's a picture on her Instagram of both the DVDs next to each other. Boy, am I funny. I also have a note about the Zelda thing that just says, that's a big leap that she was insane. We just decided she was okay.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Yeah, I mean, I think probably a very high fever would cause you to become like delirious, but it seemed like she'd been insane for a while. Yeah. And her parents had like had her like hidden away like she was shameful. Like she was like in the basement. I don't understand any of it. And they left an eight-year-old alone with her. Yeah, and she died. And they're mad at fucking Lewis? For what? Oh, this guy's a doctor.
Starting point is 00:20:47 He's going to figure out that we're fucking assholes. Yeah, really? Maybe I'll attack him at his baby's funeral. How could you think Lewis is the asshole in this situation? I didn't say he was the only asshole in the situation. I kind of think there are assholes across the board in the situation. Gage is played by Miko Hughes, who is in a lot of things from this era. He was, uh, had a recurring role on Full House. And he was also the boys have a penis, girls have a vagina kid from kindergarten.
Starting point is 00:21:17 What? And he's in West Craven's new nightmare, where Heather Langan Camp, does he play Gage from that cemetery? Yes, he does. Or is he Tiny Freddy? He's, um, Tiny Heather Langan Camp. It's her child. Oh, I was hoping that you were going to tell me, and now he is one of the Hemsworths.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Oh, might well be. You couldn't tell you. He's probably buffed if I had to guess. So, the family's having a nice picnic outside. Yeah. And they're playing with the... Flying a kite. And there's a trucker coming. This is the first trucker we see. Yeah. Just blaring Sheena as a punk rocker. It's a good-ass song. I don't think the trucker had ever heard the song before because he's trying to sing along and he's like Sheena plump punk punk rocker
Starting point is 00:22:08 I love shena as a plump rocker though she in the wears stockers no god damn it I'll get it no just keep filming I'll be fine it's the easiest fucking song to remember they just say the same thing you know it it's the beauty of their moon it also I can't the the the th the th the th th the the th the the the th the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tho the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the toy toy true true true true true true true true true true true te true true toy toy the. It's the beauty of the Ramones. Also, I cannot wait to talk about the end of this movie. I just remembered it and I just got so excited. I saw you shake a little bit. I just got so excited. You did your blanch shimmy. Don't want to be buried. So the truckers listen to the Ramones and blaring down the highway at a rages speed, and the family all of a sudden just stops paying attention to their one-year-old, two-year-old?
Starting point is 00:22:53 He's like a semi-confident walker. I'm going to say he's close to two, but not there yet. He's always wearing a diaper no pants, too. He's always wearing a diaper no pants, too. He's adorable. He's so cute. Says the daughter is very cute, too. Oh, cautious as hell. But he just like follows the kite right out into the highway. And Lewis falls down when he's about to reach him, which is like, yeah. And Judd goes, oh no.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Like, that's. that's,. The kid dies. Oh, it's very sad. I was like, come on. What am I doing here? What am I doing here? At this point I was just like, oh God, this family is just like fucking mistakes after mistakes. What are they doing here?
Starting point is 00:23:38 So there's the funeral. There's the dad, the double dad punch up. Yeah. funeral, there's the dad, the double dad punch up. Yep. Or Tashiar's dad gets no fight with Lewis. I mean, that's a really terrible time to attack somebody. It really is. I love their makeup handshake later. Oh, it's so limp and wet. It gives them like three fingers top. And then there no movement, just a touch and then a back away. Because they go to stay with the family because they're all bugged out and Lewis stays back. That painting in her parents' house. What's the painting?
Starting point is 00:24:12 That fucking painting of the woman with like a dog. I'm gonna find a picture of it. Okay. All right. This fucking painting? Oh yeah. That's the one. It's like so prominently displayed I feel like it has to mean something. Oh wait here's I don't know what this picture is but it's got a bunch of images from the movie and they're all circled and red and there are arrows pointing at things like that. Oh come on I
Starting point is 00:24:41 don't have time to figure out your conspiracy theories of a cemetery guy. I'm gonna sort it out while we come on. I don't have time to figure out your conspiracy theories of a bed cemetery guy. I'm going to sort it out while we move on. It's also just the woman next to Rachel on the plane when she like wakes up from that nightmare, so I don't think that it means anything. It should be noted that I watched this movie pretty late at night and I may or may not have dozed at points. And I was like, I've like, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm th, I'm th, I'm th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, I'm tho, I'm tho, I don't thi, thi, I'm tho, I'm tho, I tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, than, than, than, than, than, than, than, that, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi like, I've seen this a few times, I got this, I'll be fine. Do you like that when they get into the fight, the Tasha Yarr's dad yells, you stinking shit, you killer of children.
Starting point is 00:25:13 That's awful. You're stinking shit. That's great. That's a cheese dick level. It is. So also at this point point, we wen, we th, we th, we th and th and th, we th, we thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho-a, thi, thi, thi, tho-a, tho-a, that's that's, that's that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. too-a. too-a. too-a. too-a. tasks. tasks. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi., also at this point, we've been told that like Pascal, the jogger who'd been hit by a car, has been like just helping them out with day-to-day shit. Yeah. He like gets Rachel a flight and a rental car and like.
Starting point is 00:25:33 And he's talking to the daughter. Yeah. Like, through her dreams. Why? I don't know. King can never just like figure out how to make it work. Well he's also like, hmm, why do I put a psychic kid, second kid, second kid, how do I put a psychic kid, how do I put a psychic kid in this? It just always feels like he goes with the first idea where you might think about it and then think, oh that might not work, why don't I try something else and he's like,
Starting point is 00:25:59 just hopah biann't. horn in there. He doesn't have time. He's already like, well, what's the next book going to be? Especially this point in time. True. I should say that I follow Stephen King on Twitter and he's fucking delightful. Yeah, same. Also, I think it was annoyed with the dad because he is just like nonstop lying to his daughter about the cat and about all these different things. But it's sort of to appease her mother who's like afraid for her. It's like, to to be like, to be like, to be like, to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be like, to to to to to to to to to to the the to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. th. th. the. the. thean. toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. thea. the. the. the. the. ths. But it's sort of to appease her mother who's like afraid for her daughter to be afraid of death, which in some ways you kind of have to be like, I don't know. You like worry about passing your neuroses on to your child and your spouse's neuroses onto your child, holy shit. Oh okay, yeah. Yeah. So but again I think they should both be maybe a couple's therapy working on their like communication issues that they're having. Sure. Taddy R. Um, oh, and Ellie keeps having dreams about people. Like she had a dream that they went and buried the cat. Yeah, right. She foretells all of this, everything that happens.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Um, all right. So he goes in Barry's Gage. Oh God, that scene where he digs him up and then is just holding his little body is really sad. It really is. Yeah. So yeah, he puts him in the McMack burial ground. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And then, um, gauge has all the rest of his lines in ADR. Some of them played twice. Did you notice that?
Starting point is 00:27:27 He also has the rest of his hands in doll hands. Yeah, why? Because we'll get into it. So, so Tashyar almost immediately is like speeding home at this point? Yeah. Is it because Ellie's dream or something like that? She just says, oh, because she calls and she can't get a hold of Lewis and then Judd hasn't seen him. And her mom's like, he's probably just out getting a chicken dinner. You know, men and their chicken dinners.
Starting point is 00:27:54 What was that? I don't know. What do we like about chicken dinners? I mean, who doesn't like a chicken dinner? You know, men and their chicken dinners? thi dinner? thi dinner? thi dinner? thi? thi? thi? thagagagag? thag? thag? thag? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. That's th. That's th. That's, th. That's. That's. That's. th. That's. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the? the? the? the? to? toe? toea. J. toea. toea. toea. Joda. Judd. Judd that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the? th, men and their chicken dinners. So Gage digs his way back out. I really like that scene of like the zombie baby shadow. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah, yeah. I like that a lot. Goes home he steals his dad's scalpell.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Did doctors really carry scalpels around with them? Is he doing surgery like on the road? I feel like if I was a the th a th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th like th like tho th like tho tho th like tho tho tho th like tho tho tho tho thi thi thi thi thi tho tho tho tho thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho tho tho th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi th. th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi them? Is he doing surgery like on the road? I feel like if I was a doctor there would just be like scalpels at the bottom of a bag. Yeah. Digging through your silver drawer like, oh! And he immediately goes across the street to play with Judd. He's very accurate with the scoople, to be amazing. He had a career as a surgeon ahead of him. He's like taunting Judd and leading him up to the bedroom, where Judd stand next to the bed. And this scene, when I was 15, freaked me the fuck out where he slices his Achilles.
Starting point is 00:28:52 But now watching it, it's totally a doll's hand that comes out with the scalpel. And it makes sense. You don't want a little kid doing it, but he's doing a lot of other things. I do have a question, like, was it like a perspective thing, or do they maybe have like a little person involved? Because when he's like rooting through stuff, his hands are super dexterous?
Starting point is 00:29:16 That's a good question, I don't know. And it was like, that little toddler who can't, that, that, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. Like, a, a, a. Like, a. Like, a, a, a. Like, a. Like, a. Like, a. th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, No, toddlers are like practically useless, you know. They're just little bombs that are exploding all over the place. All over the place. And then he chews out his throat. And then he slaces his mouth open. Yeah, and that gets on the toau and goes, yeah, and he's a really, he's gonna toddl. And then he's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thoe's thr's thr-he's thrown. thrown. thrown. thrown's thoes tho tho tho tho thoes thrown the the tho thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes the the the thi thi thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes th thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi thi. thi. the that? I don't know, but I love it because there's just a little toddler going, ah. Isn't it like, yeah, they're gonna let them do that, you know? It's interesting because when things come back from the pet cemetery, they're just bad. Right. There's no like, this is their motivation or they're just crage is like their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. they're they're they're they're the. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're gonna they're gonna they're gonna they're gonna they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're gonna gonna gonna th. the. the. the. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the. theat. they're gonna they're gonna they're gonna they're gonna the. thirsty. Like the cat is bad but not that bad. You know, he's just kind of a dick. But Gage is like a Victorian monster. So if he had like a wearing the same outfit as that painting I think. Oh. Well I just think that from Google image search. If he had like a giant sucker and a hat with a ribbon on it I was like, oh, next perfect house of course you're doing that so he then calls his father yeah or no he heeck's in the trucks number is six six six subtle you know like his pasco can't change a
Starting point is 00:30:42 tire he had this helpful ghost who's just like, eh, no use. He's got a floppy head, though. Floppy meat's almost hanging off his head. So, then, Gage kills Tashiar. Which is sad because that's like her baby, you know what I mean? Oh, yeah, that's probably the saddest scene. I think, well, one of the really sad scenes is when they're like showing the photos and she's like in bed holding the baby, but then there's also the picture of the whole family and Gage is wearing that merchant sailor suit.
Starting point is 00:31:14 I just, I was having a lot of feelings about this. I was just getting excited about what I knew was coming is the most ridiculous thing in this fucking movie. He kills his mother and then calls Lewis and I was like, I'm played with Judd and I play with mommy and I want to play with you or whatever he says. And he was like, ha ha ha ha ha. Like a weird little woody woodpecker. And the doc immediately gets a kneel ready to go stab his reborn child. But he does it on the cat first. Of course. I felt sad for that cat actor.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Oh yeah, yeah. He doesn't even get a billing in this movie. You don't even know that cat's a real name. I checked for it. Have you ever been in the cat's teat, too'e the teat's tea. that who did it. So he was like, just bring him back after hours and we'll do it. You did, you got a back alley nut surgery? I was in a Feds office. But like, so when they, they inject them with the anesthesia, like their eyes just open as wide as they can? No, thank you. And like, I was like, did you, did you just, did you just come my, did you just kill my cat? Yeah, I feel like it was like, because they just go limp and their eyes are huge, and like exactly like what happened to the cat church.
Starting point is 00:32:25 And I was like, oh, this is real weird. Yeah, that is real weird. Um, I do like that the cat actor is constantly like has a little blood stain on his neck and is guilty. He, I, it makes me mad he doesn't get a billing. I want to know that cat's name's the name. Do. Do the name. Do the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Do that's that's that's that's that's that's that. Do that's that. that. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. t. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. t. t. t. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah's got stuck in a wall and came out black, he is tan normally and I had to bathe him which was awful. I'm sure he was real into that. Oh my god, he was a monster.
Starting point is 00:32:55 But yeah, I had to buy cat shampoo. Yeah. So, yeah, he, he like messes up the cat. Yeah. For no reason? Just to see if it would work. Just to see if it would work. It works, I guess.
Starting point is 00:33:10 And we hear Gage yelling at him again, and he has a very Alvin and the Chipmunks quality to his voice. Mm-hmm. Because I think it is not that child, No. No, no, no. They should be shocked at how much the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child the child no. They should be shocked at how much the child speaks now. I do like, um, when he, like, his evil face, is just him making like little kid's scrunchy face? Yeah, like, ah, ah, so dad goes in the house and he's like chasing him around, or he's
Starting point is 00:33:38 looking for him, and Gage comes flying out of the attic at him? Like, legit flying like, the attic at him? Like legit flying, like 10 feet. He is soaring through the air. And I laughed really fucking hard with that. It's pretty great. And then he kills Cage. Staps him with a little needle. That's right, that's right.
Starting point is 00:33:58 And then he finds that Rachel is dead. So what does he do? Well, he gives her a proper burial and... And the McMack burial ground! And guys, you're not going to believe this. She comes back. She comes back. And she has a real leaky eye. Why he's so stupid.
Starting point is 00:34:15 I don't know, why is her eye leaking so much fluid? Why would you make out with someone whose eye is leaking that much fluid? Because he does? And then... And th th th th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi thi, thu thi, thu thu tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thus, thus, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, the, he does. And then she picks up a knife and then I don't want to be buried in a pet cemetery. Don't want to live my life again. What? I was like this sounds like the Ramones. It is. It is. What? What? I love that song so much. Following Victor to the whatever down the path? What? What? What? Why? Why? that that happen? It is? that. the they. the they is. they is. they is. they is. they is. they is. they is. they is. they is. they is. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that is. that is. that is. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. thi. the. I. th. the. the. I. the. the. the. the. What? I love that song so much. Following Victor to the whatever down the path? What? What? Why? How did that happen? They were hired on to write the song? That's silly as fuck. I love it. There's only two songs in this movie. It's Sheena is a punk rocker and I don't want to be buried in a pet cemetery. The saddest lyric is I don't want to live my life again? Yeah. I was like Joey. the Yeah You didn't have the best life. I'm sorry sir. I like Dede the best anyway.
Starting point is 00:35:08 What because the rap album? The cute one. Oh? Katie. Yeah. You want to move on to the writings face? Oh yeah. That caught me off guard. I don't know why. I should have been ready for it. Yeah, let's do it. I was trying to figure out how to do it in Ramones, but I just couldn't. No, I think that's better. Because you know why? Maine. Maine. He's a Mainer. They moved from Chicago to Maine. Don't move to Maine. Just done for tourism in Maine. Which is just destroy them. You ever been to Maine? Oh yeah, a few times. It's pretty up there. Yeah, Acadia National Park up there is gorgeous. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:54 That's where my mom was born in Brunswick. Oh yeah. I got Maine and my blood. Say it in the voice, say it in the voice. The noise are coming. I like this movie. This is fun. Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna give it a... It's dumb. It's fun.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Yeah. It's sad. Seven. Oh, okay. Yeah. I think especially I watched last week's movie, and then I watched this, and they're kind of the same movie. Wait, what?
Starting point is 00:36:28 How are they the same movie? Because it's about like loss and what you would do to bring back your lost child and your loved ones. That's very true. Yeah. But no one takes their skin off in this movie. But this is like, that movie is like, that movie, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that movie is like, didn't nail it, and this one's like at least really fun
Starting point is 00:36:48 and didn't necessarily nail it, because everyone makes the wrong decision. Well, I think they make the wrong decisions in the void, too. No, you want to take your skin off. Take your skin off and impregnate a teenager? With a monster? No, no, that's way better. You're right. No, it th. It tha. It thiiiii. It th. It's th. Starting point is 00:37:08 So I would, I would agree with your seven. I think this is a really good time. Like, it's ridiculous. Like, I remember a heavy metal band that was in my high school, like, sampled this movie on their demo tape of like the phone call the gauge gave and like, just fun stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff a lot of like good connotations and memories of this movie. I feel like as far as Stephen King movies goes to it's up there. Sure for sure. Some of them are just so bad. Like it, the TV movie. I love that. And it's also really bad. And I hate thinner.
