This movie was written by James Gunn, who, I believe is a guy wreather. And... What was slither? Slither is the Nathan Philly and worm movie, space worms, make the lady real big in the barn. Oh, um, Firefly. Yes.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Who writes like, funny dialogue and made a funny movie? Yeah. This movie was then rewritten by somebody else, but James Gunn still has credit for it. Oh, okay. It's not funny. It is not, it's not, is it intended to be funny? But there's points where people are saying like,

jokey things, they're not funny, they're not funny, no. Uh-uh, uh-uh. So this is the remake of the George Romero movie. Mm-hmm. That is a remake in name alone. And like location, sort of. Yeah. I've been to an ambulance. I did say out of a zombie. But it would be hilarious if it was legs coming out of someone's butt. I mean, technically aren't all legs coming out of somebody's butt. Not in the same way, come out of their butt hole. Two legs I can't have an ambulance, and then the guy was just napping. Yeah, she's napping. But then she gets in the car and of course zombie reports are being reported on by radio stations. the same things. People get stuck in a place, people of varying stereotypes get stuck in a place. It's reported on by radio stations, there's a bunch of TV footage montages like, it's

always the same. Even a good zombie movies, bad zombie movies, it's always the same. Showing of the Dead, this movie. 28 days later? Night of the Living Dead. The original Dawn at the Dead, this movie? Uh, 28 Days Later? Night of the Living Dead? The original Dawn of the Dead. Lots of zombie movies. Although the original Dawn of the Dead at least starts off as like a weird action movie

that's in. Yeah, I'm not that fond of that part, actually. Real weird. Yeah, I'm just... Pittsburgh as Philadelphia is very funny. Like, why is he doing that? He's from here. He knows what it is. I know. Anna goes home to her husband, uh...

Luis? Louise, who she calls Louis at one point? And I was like, hmm, really? Okay. Just pick, he's in it for about four minutes. Pick a name and stick with it. We see her adorable neighbor, someone's gonna have to protect that kid and it's gonna annoy me. No. Oh, I like that twist. I like that turn. So they watch American Idol and fall asleep and then wake up.

They go to the bone zone in the shower. They did, I skip over that. I got Matt, as I was like, let's have awkward sex in the shower. Don't think our stand and fuck. They miss a news bulletin about the zombie stuff while they're in the shower fucking. And they're awoken the next day at 6.37 a.m. by the little girl being in the hallway. She all fucked up. Yeah, her mouth's still there. Because she bites Louise. Yeah, and he dies. And then he gets th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th. Yeah, the mouth still there because she bites Luis. Yeah, and he dies. He dies. And then he gets real fast. Yeah. What do you think about them fast zombies? I know we talked about this in 28 days later, but I don't know what you would we came to. 28 days later I give a pass because they're not zombies. They're a rage virus even though they're totally zombies. They're not just fast in the way that like, they can move like people. Right. They're literally always sprinting. Yeah, they're sprinting from here to there, to therethe problem I have with fast zombies is they're not fun. So I've spent a lot of time talking with friends like just hanging out and be like, oh, how would we fortify this building against zombie attack? And you'd be like, oh, well we just knock out the stairs, they can't climb up the stairs because they're zombies and they're dumb. Yeah. And there's no winning in this situation. Right. It's just, and you know, there's something to be said for that, but it's also like, this isn't your grandpa's this isn't your grandpa, this isn't your grandpa, this isn't your grandpa, this this isn't your grandpa, the gr gra, this the g g g g g gn't, the gromb, th. th. Like one of the zombies had stopped and like punctured a can of red bull and chugged in and then turn to the camera. The movie gets right the fuck into it though, which I do like. Yeah. Don't give me a bunch of buildup when you're just doing zombies. You know, just they're coming, they're here, let's do this.

Anna gets chased out of the house by Louise. I love those driving shots. Amazing, right? Probably the highlight of the film for me. He knows what she's driving? Was she driving? Carolla? A gold carola, a cool car. A cool car. I don't have milkshake all of it? I don't know. It probably doesn't smell. But she goes outside and like her neighbors are getting attacked and everything's on fire. I love the one neighbor that just walks outside and is like, hey what's going on? And then someone just runs up and tackles him. And it's just, it's crazy. And like the scene where the car, the van drives into the gas station and explodes it.

There are a lot of explosions in this movie. A lot of explosions. But the aerial shot of her neighborhood is the first part where I was like, oh that's not America. That's Canadian. That's Canadian. And it is. It is, yeah.

It's definitely not Monroeville. No, or Michigan. I think is Wisconsin. Yeah, no one's got a Wisconsin accent. No one says, no? Because I was looking up the actors for this, like start at the bottom and it was just like Canadian, Canadian, Canadian. And like the top like four are American actors.

Oh yeah. And the dad, other dad from Honey I shrunk the kids? Who's the guy who has, um, his, has the daughter, has, the daughter, the daughter, the daughter, the daughter, the daughter, the daughter, the daughter, the daughter, the other dad for money I drank the kids. He gets, he's the guy who has the daughter who gets bitten and they have to kill him. Oh, Max Hedrum. Yeah, yeah. Is that who it is? Yeah, it's Max Hedrum in the 80s. Oh, yeah, I just know it was the other dad for money I shrunk the kids. Waits aren't your thing. I have not seen that movie in a hundred years. It's, you know, there's not

need for you to. I just gave, I just delivered the best line to you so. I'm sure it's still good. Rick Moranis is a gem. We skipped over the unnecessary use of Johnny Cash and the montage of news stories that just felt like I was re-watching 28 days later. Yeah, that was weird right. I didn't like that. But within that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th th th th th th th th th thus thus thus thus thus thus thi thi thi thate thus thus thus thus th. First you get Scott Reininger, who is Roger, from the original Don of the Dead.

He was the army guy that they were talking to. You get the tele-evangelist Ken Foray, who delivers his line from Dawn of the Dead. There's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth. And then you get our friends. Who's your neighbor? My neighbor. See him at the post office. Just kidding, he doesn't go to the post office.

Just kidding. I love that they're just, the cool. Look how cool he is. Loving you, Tom Savini. It's almost Tom Savini season. Savini Watch, 2018. We're getting so close. We've been doing this for a really long time. This third season of Savini watch, or fourth. He said, I think it's fourth.

Yeah, 2015, 201, 201, 201. Here we are. Oh, my God, we're monsters. Their day, Rob was like, oh, I saw Tom Savini walking down the street. I was walking one way and he was coming home. And then when I walked back down past his house, he'd put his trash out if you want to go through it. She wakes up to Ving Rames yelling at her to say something. Right. And when she does, he just walks away from her? I guess to prove that she's not a baddie. Yeah.

I always just sleep in a boxer briefs and a tank so that would not. Oh no. It's not a great zombie apocalypse.

It's not a great tomb apocalypse look. It's just a singlet. It looked like a wrestler running out of my house. MacI Pfeiffer, we meet up with him. You might remember him from 8 Mile. He's Eminem's best friend. There is no M&M's Fifer. There's no Mekyfer. What?

It's the line from a lose yourself? You know? No Mkai FiiI Pfeiffer. It's a second. Mom spaghetti? Yeah. I totally forgot about that. Well done. And the whole time, every time he was on screen, I was like, there's no McIfei. That's so funny.

love with any of you. I got another shit to worry about. Even if the zombie apocalypse was happening, I wouldn't. It's I hate intimacy. If I put my foot up your ass, would that be your problem? Right. One of whom has used the word faggot in 2004, which, like, you don't get a pass in 2004 on that. No, you're not in Monster Squad.

And there is Ty Burrell. Yeah, and then this truck full of new people show up. And there is Ty Burrell from modern family. I don't know who that is. Yeah, he's the shitty guy. Yeah, okay. There's the pretty blonde lady. There's the old rednecky dude. There's the old rednecky dude.

And the dad for money is true to the kid's and his daughter, who gets over his death like that. Well, she falls in love with the pretty security card. Sure. But like, so the woman in the wheelbarl, seemingly not related to to toe to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. the the thoomberaughe, we, we, wi. the wi, whi, whi, whi, whatever, whi, whi, whatever, whatever, w. No. Did you like when she got up and ran at them?

I did. Yeah, okay. So I have a lot of memories in this movie. I saw it in the theater. And for some reason I remember her exploding? What? That might have been a slither that you're thinking of. Oh, there was the James Gun connection.

She just gets up and run. I was like, oh, I also remembered something differently about the zombie birth. Oh, I'm interested to hear about that. So, oh, Kai Fifer's Russian bride has been bitten while they were outside. Yeah, but just like a little bit, because she hangs on for a lot longer than anybody else does, I guess. Maybe it's her Russianness, her Eastern Europeanness that just keeps her from changing. I don't know. You've seen that Vladimir Putin, he's so buff. I'm sure they're just a hearty stock. Yeah, Ryan horses.

You've got to be hardy to live in Russia, I'm telling you. Seems awful. Especially like Siberia? What's everybody doing? told? So cold. MacI Pfeiffer like sequesters his wife in a toy store? Mm-hmm. And that's all you see, for like 40 minutes. She's not in the movie. Yeah, which is okay because she wasn't talking before,

and she's not talking now, so whatever. I like the scene where they have to, but they have to go turn the power back on, the generators in they're walking and they're like hearing something skittering around. Yeah. It's a little dog. Chips. Chips.

Who names him chips and why? It's a good name for a dog though. It is. I like, yeah, I do like that. And then my favorite zombie in the movie shows up's running on the pipes by like climbing them. That's not me to have legs No, no legs and it just jumps down on them and I was like all right That's a cool use of your fast running zombies. Yeah, that is cool, but then like upper body strength zombie Working them biceps. Yeah, but like your your lats really? Yeah, but like your latts you're lads? Yeah, their Your delts? I guess your delts a little bit. Quads? Not if you don't have legs, Alan. Pull it a hammy? No, sir, no.

Oh my leg muscle knowledge. This is out the window. And then they're like, oh we got to get out of here. We can fortify these shitty trucks. But I do like that, that was where I realized it was called the Crossroads. Yeah. And I'ming the birth scene. What did you remember differently about it? Oh the birth oh we also bypassed the firewalking zombies. You know

I got momentarily excited about it. Oh yeah. Yeah. Didn't save it. I remembered the baby coming out of her stomach. Oh like through the, not being vaginally born.
