Episode Date: May 7, 2018

Oh Rob Zombie, what hath you wrought? This week we're discussing the 2003 exploitation/gross-out horror film "House of 1000 Corpses." Special topics for your consideration include: the permanence of b...eing Dwight Schrute, Allen's feelings on trick-or-treating being scheduled for a non-Halloween day (spoilers: HE'S MAD), swearing for the sake of swearing, the genius of Christopher Guest movies, "Dr. Satan" and bumpbumpdunnahbumpbumpdunnahbahnownahnow (so, SO much mouth guitar.) Do you like movies about weird families killing people? May we recommend Episode 23- "Sisters," Episode 43- "We Are What We Are" or Episode 56- "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2"?  Have you seen this one? Starting point is 00:00:29 I'm Katie. This is a podcast. I don't know any of the words that's okay right. I'm just doing the bob and in the car dance. Yeah. I spent upwards of an hour watching Rob zombie videos this morning. Did you? Pre-or post movie? Pre-movie? Oh, just to warm you up. Yeah, I was watching videos and interviews with Rob zombie because I have this theory that we'd be we'd be buds. Yeah, he seems like a okay guy. He seems like a dick, but I don't think he's a thick. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to be liked. thi. to be toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. Pr. th. th. to. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. to. Pr. hang out with. Yeah, I don't think he's a bad guy, that's what I'm saying. He's misguided. I watched an interview that he was doing where he was talking about why white zombie broke up. And he's like, oh, we all hated each other.
Starting point is 00:01:13 And then the interviewer digs a little more, and he's like, well, yeah, they all rode on my own bus and I thus and I thus and I thus and I thus and I th. and I th. And I was th. And I was th. And I was th. And I was th. And I was th. And I was th. And he was th. And he was th. And he was hea hea hea that he was that he was the. that he was doing that he was that he was doing that he was doing that he was doing that he was doing that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was that he was he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he was doing he was doing he was doing he was doing he was doing he was doing he was doing he was doing he was doing. he was doing hea. hea. hea. he was doing hea. he was he was he was he he he the worst. Rob zombie. Living dead girl. You know what doesn't hold up? Living dead girl? Rob zombie music. Oh yeah. And it's all the same. It is. It is. It's all.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Dundau, da da da. Dunda. Dunduckissing, so much singing years. Yeah. I mean, Dracula is still kind of a jam. That's all. But watching the videos that he directed. It's Sherry Moon is in all of those too, isn't she? A lot of them, yeah. This movie is just a long-form version of that. I mean, here's the thing. What movie are we doing? Oh, the Living Dead Girl video. That's working.
Starting point is 00:02:07 We're talking about all of Rob Zambi's videos in this episode. Whoa. Of MTV Ambulance. I love that. Can we talk about Jersey Shore next? Because I heard it's back up, and I haven't watched it yet. It's back up, like it was down? Yeah. They they, they, they, they, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, we're, we're, we're, we're thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. tooo. tog. tog. to. t. Oh no. Yeah. Oh no? Yes. That sounds like a bad idea. No, I think it's a wonderful idea because I'm gonna watch it. Those people are monsters. Yeah, probably only some of them. The situation.
Starting point is 00:02:34 That guy was, is a pillhead, I think. Polly D. He seems okay. The one who knocked that guy out. The big, thick mustly one. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. That's. That's. P. That's. That's like. That's like. That's like. That's like. That's like. That's like. That's like. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's like. It's like. It's a. It's a. It's like. I. It's like. I. It's like. I. I. I. It's like. I. I. It's like. I. I th. It's like. I. I don't even know who that is. The big, thick, musly one. Oh, the one who was like abusing his girlfriend on MTV. And there's a scene where she's holding her broken glasses and crying and I was like, what? What? Oh my god. Now, see that part I didn't really like that much. But I really like sn. That's pretty wonderful. They look six kids between them.
Starting point is 00:03:08 I'd still can't get over Snookie writing a book. I would read Snunky's book. Okay. Well, your birthday is coming up. I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna. We're talking about House of Thousand Corpses. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:21 So... When I told Rob, Rob, Rob, Rob, Ambulance, that we were doing this movie, he remember that we had watched it several years ago. And he was like, yeah, it wasn't that bad. Remember, it was better than we expected? And I said, I think we were wrong. I think we were wrong. We will see if time has proved you correct. We were wrong. Well, I think I went into it the first time I saw it thinking, oh, this is going to be terrible. And then I was like, well, that wasn't that bad. And then this time I went into thinking, well, I don't think th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. that that that thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. that that that that thi. that that that that thi. that thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thee. theee. theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. wee. wee. wee. wee. that bad and being like, oh, this is terrible. So you just had to, you had to flip the script. Yeah, I just had to adjust my expectations.
Starting point is 00:04:08 I actually had to do the same thing because the first time I watched this, I thought, oh, this is thearable. Yeah? And the second time, I went, this is not the best you can do. That movie was a lot dirtier, a lot grosser. That one? This one or the other one? The other one? The Devil's Rejects? That's grosser. Oh yeah it's way grosser. This movie is pretty grosser. You know how this movie has funny bits in it? Those are just Sidhagg. Yeah like like the the movie. the movie. thiiii. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's movie. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny. It's funny. It's th. It's pretty. It's th. It's pretty. It's th. It's pretty. It's pretty. It's pretty. It's th. It's th. Those are in quotes. Is it just Sid Hague? Yeah, like the Sid Hague stuff and like Chris Hardwick and. Where was Chris Hardwick? He's the metal dude.
Starting point is 00:04:49 He's the guy with the long hair. What metal dude? He's the, he's one of two dudes. He's not Rain Wilson. He's the other one. What? Yeah. and I was like, I don't know where Chris Hardwick is. I thought he was like, maybe one of the cops, the other like, no. Wow, nice fat. He apparently used to drink a lot of beer back in the day.
Starting point is 00:05:10 And I'm not sure if he was still doing that and just hadn't lost the weight from it or anything. Yeah. So not Dwight, right? Yes, yeah, yeah. That's silly. Yeah. He's wearing the Dwight glasses, too. I think those are just his glasses. No.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Our second Sid Hague movie. Very exciting. Spider baby. Yeah. I gotta say, I hate him in this movie. He's disturbing in this movie. It's not that it's that Rob's did Rob's let me write this script? Oh hell yeah. Okay, he was like how much profanity is too profane No, there's no such thing. Yeah, there's no such thing. Yeah, this is a living. Mr. Hague How do you feel about just saying nonsense swears? Good? That's good. That's what you're gonna thinne? toughs? that's th. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. th. th. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's what. that's what. that's what. that's what. that's th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. the the the the they. the the the the the the the the the the the the thoooooo thoooooooooooo th. that's th. that's th. th. that I kind of love nonsense swears though, right? Not, no, I don't mean like titty shit. I don't mean like titty shit.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I mean just being like, fucking ass-fucks. Just to like say the words. Yeah. They have to have a meaning. Titty shit's. Nope, no, that doesn't have a meaning. That's the beauty of it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, they'd, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I mean, I, I, I mean, the, the, the, the, the, just, just being just being just being, the, the, the, just, the, the, the, the, the, just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, they, they'd, they'd, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. the the, the the th. th. the the the the the the the the the the, the, just, just, just, just, the beginning of the movie too and just like, oh, come on. Yeah. But then that felt just like, it felt like a whatever Quentin Tarantino writes the end word into a script. You're just like, come on. Come on.
Starting point is 00:06:32 I liked, I liked the captain's balding character at the beginning of this movie when he's like, I love the back and forth about clogging the toilet................. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, and...... the. the. the. the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the toilet, like that mundaneness of it, I really enjoyed. Sure. And the heist gone wrong and all that stuff. I hate that he's wearing a t-shirt that's as if I wanted to listen to an asshole, I'd fart. Because there's like a long lingering close-up of it. And it's just Rob's not being like, hey, hey, yeah? You like that? That's a funny bad words. This is good 1977 humor. God. Again with the 19, with a bygone eras. It's not, it's just not right.
Starting point is 00:07:10 No. No. No. This is our third Bill Mosley movie. Is he chopped up? He's chopped up. He's chopped up. And he's chopped up again in this movie pretty much.
Starting point is 00:07:20 But he is one of the people who comes to clean up. th. the to to to to the to to to the to the to the to to the the to the the the to theto clean up after the blob in the blob. Oh, he's like in the sewer with him for a few minutes. Okay. He is also not great in this. And his wig looks absurd. And changes throughout the movie. He does. He's a lot boulder than other times.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Yeah. Yeah. I think this movie like filmed over a longer period of time. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. to, the. to, to to to to to theee. the. to thi. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. I can't imagine they would have had funding troubles. Well it went through three studios before it finally got it. Like it was done. It was filmed in 2000, didn't come out in 2003 because Universal passed, MGM passed and then Lionsgate was like, we don't have morals. Yeah, yeah I can't imagine why a studio wouldn't want to make this movie. Man. Yeah, I can't though, and I love Karen Black. Can I tell you who I thought she was for a second? Jennifer Coolidge. I don't know who that is.
Starting point is 00:08:09 The woman from Best in Show and they are very similar and have very similar affects, which I like on both of them. Yeah, once a little bit more poofy-lipped. I think so. We both love soup. Talking, not talking. We could talk or not talk for hours. Does Best in Show get the love that it deserves? I love it to the ends of the universe. I love Christopher Guest to the ends of the universe. Yeah. I think that and Spinal Tap are my favorite movies by him. Yeah. Spinal Tap is my favorite movie.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Period. Period. End of sentence. Should do that. And best show is Bob Balaban. Oh, god damn. Yeah. Doesn't Spinald?
Starting point is 00:08:54 No. Paul what's his face from David Lennerman's pan is pretty much. Yes, Paul Schaefer, yeah. Which I watched in a Rob Zombie video playing along with White Zombie. Oh boy, it's all coming full circle. It was so funny because he was like, you know, they're playing Thunder Kiss 65 or whatever, and he's just like plunking away on like one key. D-Dee-Tee! Would you go to Captain Spalding's Museum of Monsters and Mad Men?
Starting point is 00:09:24 100% no. Would you eat the fried chicken? Yes, in the parking lot. I'd get gas and then I eat the chicken. You know what I'm not doing? I don't do haunted houses. No? Not at all. Too scary.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Too scary for me. Oh, I love that. I just can't. reduced to a screaming, crying harpy. They're just social anxiety triggers for me. Please stop yelling at me. Please stop yelling at me. Yeah, I'm sorry, dad, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to spell the milk. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Not to change the subject. No, please change it. Do you agree that the side that said fried chicken and gasoline sounds like white zombie lyrics to change the subject. No, please change it. Do you agree that the side that said fried chicken and gasoline sounds like white zombie lyrics to you? Yes. I think they were the lyrics to the song in the opening montage. I think they were. Oh, because I had the subtitles on.
Starting point is 00:10:17 And it was subtitling that song and I was like, seriously Rob Zombie. the thinne. Rob Zombie, how many fucking songs have you written? They were like, it was a rhyming dictionary level. Him and Marilyn Manson are very much into that like, I mean, they're pretty much the same dude. These are just words. Oh no, I would so much rather hang out with Rob Zombie. I sound like I'm spooky though, Dona. I just said, fried chicken and gaso-
Starting point is 00:10:40 I mean, really, you have to go to a party with Rob of them. You're definitely going to the party with Rob Zombie. Yeah. Rob Zombie's in this heavy metal documentary that I really like called Metal, a Headbanger's Journey. Which is not a good name for anything. It's, um, sounds very hobbit-e. The greatest adventure. And like him, him talking about like growing up, listening to kiss, I was just like I kind of love you right now Rob Zombie. Can we call him Robert Zombie for their succeeding adult?
Starting point is 00:11:06 Just kidding. Oh man. When I first saw this movie I remember thinking oh Sherry Moon seems cute. Oh oh! I mean she's very cute. She's adorable. No this movie she's just in a bikini holding a knife talking about killing people like what I like find you like to find you someone who to to the the the the the like just just just just just like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like. the the the the the the their. I their. I their. I their. I their. I their. I their. I their. I'm they. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm like. I'm just just. I'm just just. I'm just. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I this. I this. I this. I they. I this. I they. I they. I they. I they. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm like. I'm like. I'm just. I'm like. I'm just. I'm. I'm. I'm just. I'm. I'm. I'm just. I'm just. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm just. a bikini, holding a knife, talking about killing people, like, what, like, find you someone who will make a movie where you behave this way, you know? She's a hard actress to watch. Like she's not good at the acting portion of the acting. She's great at the like weird dancing and like... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I guess she had wanted to do voiceover work because she has that crazy like laugh. Yeah. She could do cartoons all day long. I think that's what she was like training to do but then she met Rob Zombie and then ended up following white zombie around and then like 10 years later they got married. Oh, okay. Yeah, so he'd do realtart cartoon work. You know he used to do like set design for Peewee's play-a th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah................................................... Yeah. Yeah... Yeah. Yeah.. Yeah. Yeah.. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.... know he used to do like set design for Peewee's Playhouse. No shit. Yeah, that's cool. I love Peewee's Playhouse. Him and Sean Gizzolt. I can, I don't know if that's her name or not, the bass player from White Zombie. Oh really? Yeah, they met working on Peewee's Playhouse. Boom, bum, bum, bum, bum. Now, now. I did like the clown that. I in front of the gas station fried chicken just going Fresh meat Fresh meat That's sort of Tim Burton-esque.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Yeah. Did you like that Sid Egg had clown makeup some degree of clown makeup on for the entire movie even when he was doing like other things? Did you like his shitty John Wayne tattoo? Yeah, I did. Says the Duke under it? How many Dukes do you know, boy? But the dialogue is very bad. Yeah. When he's talking about like the socks with Mickey Mouse on one side and Donald Duck on the other, I was like, look, that's not a thing.
Starting point is 00:12:58 You know what I mean? No one knows what you're talking about. No one is like, oh yeah, those things. Because he's just like the the th. That's th. That's th. That's th. That's th. That's the th. That's th. That's the th. That's th. That's th. That's the th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. No. No the thi. thi. th. th. th. the the the the the the the dialogue. the dialogue. the dialogue. That's the dialogue. That's no one. No one. No one. No one. No one. No one. No one. No one. No one. No the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. No. No. No. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the the the, those things. No. Because he's just like a crazy man, babbling. Oh, maybe it wasn't him. Maybe that was, um, it was Bill Mosley. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's just saying like straight up nonsense. I just, here's the thing about this movie. Mm-hmm. It was like, Rob Zombie saw Texas Chainson Massacre 45 times. And then he was like, he, he he, he he, he he, he he, he he, he was like, he was like, he was like, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that that that that that that that, that, that, that, that, that, that was like, that was that was that was that was that was that, that, that, that, that, to that, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. that was thi. that was thi. that was thi, that was thi, thi, thi. And then he was like, I could make that movie, but I could just make it so convoluted that it doesn't make any sense, but it'll be grizzly. I'll put everything I like into it. Yeah, I'll just throw it all into a blender and just crank that up to puree. I'll start off with a horror movie host for no reason, never comes back. I know, you're right.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Yeah. Because when I came out, I was like, well, I miss these things. Oh yeah, for sure. I miss the It's a Live show here in Pittsburgh. I think it might still be on the internet. Oh, really? I should look at the It's a live show here. Yeah. You know the guy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. I. I. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I th. I th. I th. I th. I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I th. I. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th.............................. I th. I th. I the. I the. I th. If that's still on the internet, you guys should look up the It's a Live Show from Pittsburgh. It was very, very, very, very good.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Very silly. Very silly. I love the grandma, skeleton, and the urn that had conversations. Ernie? Yeah, that was good time. Yeah, it was a good time. So how did you feel about this opening credits montage. That's a note I have written down. And then stuff from Halloween of course. Like yeah. It's just also like nobody, Rob Zombie hadn't seen a movie, I guess other in Texas Chainsaw Massacre because
Starting point is 00:14:35 nobody told him that a scene can just go into another scene. You don't need a cutaway of just star Lloyd looking. Like you don't need to do that. It can just go from one scene right into the next one.. the the the the the th. the the th. th. th. the th. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to the the the to to to to to th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It can just go from one scene right into the next one. Yeah. That's how stories are told. Yeah, I kind of felt like he was like trying to make it feel like a Saturday morning cartoon or something? Yeah, I guess.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Again, putting everything that he likes into it. It's depressing. Would you go look for the tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree tree the tree tree tree the tree tree tha the tha tha to to to the to the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the the. tha. the. tha. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. you go look for the tree that Dr. Satan was hung on? No, because Dr. Satan is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Guess who of the two people sitting at this table got angry that kids are trick-or-treating on October 30th? That's me. That's me. That'd be you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Yeah. I know. I know. but it well whatever if it gets the opportunity to go on a weekend instead I know yeah it's always no matter what day of the week it's it's always October 31st here everything oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah there was a town near where I grew up that did it on the 30th because October 31st was evil that's very like. It was like Dr. Satan tole. It was like Dr. Satan. Like why is he?
Starting point is 00:15:48 Okay, so what was his story? So he had like a back story that I, but at the end I was like, oh yeah, this guy, he's like a doctor, right? He worked at an insane asylum. And he was like apparently but butchering the patients. Yeah. And then he became a robot zombie man. I don't know where that leap happened. And it's like, he lives in this bone and skull shrine.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Yeah, the basement ossuary there. Those people are fucking slobs. They could not build this. You know what I mean? Yeah. I did like, the one, the younger cop Goggins. Yeah. He was on the show Justified that I really liked. Oh I my a friend of mine is very into justify. I mean it's like it's dumb TV but I really like yeah and he's really good on that but like when they're going like first through the house and he's like people
Starting point is 00:16:39 need to have a yard sale. Yeah that older cop was very familiar to me too. Have you seen Henry Portcher of a the the the the the the the the the serial the serial th for the serial. Yeah. Yeah. He th for the th for th for th for th for the th for th for th for th. Yeah. Have you seen Henry Portrait of a serial killer? Yeah. He's the friend in Henry Portrait of the serial killer. Oh, okay. He's also in the Tom Savinia directed remake of Night the Living Dead. Yeah. Yeah, I've seen that. He's the New York guy in the basement. Yep. Yeah, that is a tom. Yeah, that is a tom. th. that's. that's. It it it's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. Tom Towels is his name. That's a funny name. Yeah. I mean, everybody in this movie was in something else that you've seen. For sure. Pretty much, like, um, Dwight?
Starting point is 00:17:14 Yeah. Dowdy and Chris Hardwick. And those two women who are totally interchangeable, the girlfriends. At the end, I was like, I don't, I th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, everybody, everybody, everybody, everybody, everybody, th, everybody, everybody, th, th, everybody, th, th, everybody, th, everybody, th, everybody, th, everybody, th, th, everybody, th, th, th, th, everybody, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, was, thi, was, thi, thi, was thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, everybody, thable, the girlfriends. Yeah, yeah. At the end, I was like, I don't know which one you are. I just started calling everyone Denise. I didn't know, I did not know that one of them was Denise. Yeah, because Denise's dad shows up. Oh, that's Denise's dad. Yeah, the cop, the old retired cop. Is he, is she the one who lives? So Captain Spalding was in on it? Yeah, in a very Texas chainsaw massacre way.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Like why, I mean, why even... I mean, they pick up Sherry Moon zombie. Yep. Who I only refer to as Sherry Moon zombie, full name all the time. I'm sorry. I should have calling her by her maiden name, Sherry Moon. Definitely not her name. Ms. Moon.
Starting point is 00:18:00 They pick her up as a hitchhiker and she's the Harbin shirt. I mean it's Texas Chainsaw Masker. I didn't like that as soon as... Even a grandpa. There's a grandpa who talks a lot with food in his mouth. I liked him actually. Yeah, he's great. He was totally harmless.
Starting point is 00:18:16 He's in a lot of like 70s, like TV shows up randomly. Same thing with the thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's like. It's like. It's like, th. It's even. It's like, the. It's even. It's even. It's, who clogs the bathroom. Oh, okay, sure. He's in a ton of stuff that, like, just TV stuff, like, Rockford Files or whatever. Because I'm a hundred and nine. But like, I didn't like that, like, they show, they meet Cherry Moon Zambi and then there's like cut away to her like going, let me just kill, the bikini scene, right? Taking all the tension out of this movie. Well, that's because they needed to get to the next scene. It's like how in our early episodes of Werewolf Ambulance, we had used the
Starting point is 00:18:51 Wearewolf sound all the time, because we didn't understand how to cut things. Oh, so Rob Zombie needs to do 174. I know. I to to to to to to to to to to to the to the their theirnob. I their their their th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I know I've heard it a lot. I kind of feel bad for Rob Zombie because I feel like he's, he's still making movies and they're just getting like less and less well reviewed. Really? What's, what is he doing? I mean, 31 is the latest one that he's done. Didn't even hear about it. Yeah, exactly. Or Lords of Salem? No. They just keep like, they're pretty much going direct to video at this point. Wow. Why doesn't you stop?
Starting point is 00:19:28 I don't know. Okay. I mean, I feel like he's got good ideas. He just doesn't have like, maybe he needs like a buddy. Yeah. I mean, I have been on record to saying that I liked his Halloween. Yeah, yeah, but now I'm I'm not so sure. Because I thought I thought this was okay, and now I feel like this was not okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Yeah, I did not like his Halloween. I liked the parts of his Halloween that didn't feel like Halloween, and then as soon as the music started, I went, oh, come on! I think I liked the little boy who played Michael Myers. I think I thought he was a really good actor or something, but I could be wrong about that. Sherry Moon is his mom. Bah. Duh. So, the family, the firefly, firefly family. I don't like that.
Starting point is 00:20:13 No. Which is baby, Otis, grandpa. Who is that giant man? Not the tall guy who is in tall guy, the tall guy rolls, the other guy guy with the long brown hair. Oh, what's it? I don't know. You know, he drives the toe truck? Oh, that's Rufus Jr. Did he?
Starting point is 00:20:31 Was he? Do I know him? Let's see. Yeah, Tiny, the only other thing I know him from is that movie. that movie. I really liked that movie. It's really fun. I definitely cried like a TB at the end of it. That's tiddy baby for all of you.
Starting point is 00:20:52 That dude is 6 foot 10. He's RIP, God rest. No, Rufus Jr. is 6 foot 10. Whoa, who's he? He was apparently trained to be a wrestler, but he wasn't able to do it do to injuries. Oh, speaking of, can we have a quick moment of silence for a great Pittsburgher? Bruno, Bruno San Martino? Very sad to hear that's passing. Okay, he was my grandparents' neighbor. Oh, you remember you saying that before? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:19 He would just jog by the house and waved to my grandfather. Hey, Bruntee! by the house and waved to my grandfather, hey Dante, Bruno. That's so Pittsburgh and lovely. I know, I always remember being like, Gaga, your friend's so buff. And then later, did you realize who it was? Yeah. And then we saw him at a wrestling show, like a local show, a couple years ago, and my cousin Joe went up and talked to him, and he like remembered, oh,
Starting point is 00:21:42 oh, that's wonderful. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. thi's thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. I I I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to to thi. And, to to to to to to thi. to to thi. to thi. to thi. thi. thi. how's your grandmother doing? Oh that's wonderful. Man, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pittsburgh. God bless this place. It was very sad to hear his place though. Yeah. Yeah, well he lived a good long life too though.
Starting point is 00:21:52 He did. And he was the champ for like eight or nine years like a something like that. Okay, so this guy is not in anything else. No, he was, no, just a big dude. So they have for some... Oh, no, no. What do we got? American Horror Story? Oh, is that where you know him from? Probably. He was unjustified also. He was a cellmate. That makes sense. He's been in a lot of things that I've seen, actually. I don't know why you said no. Because when I just looked him up, I didn't see him having any other credits. He's been 46 things.
Starting point is 00:22:32 What? Yeah. He was in an episode of Darma and Greg. try to get into an art movie. He's Darma sitting on Greg's shoulders. Trying to get into an art movie. They've abducted five cheerleaders for some reason? Oh yeah, I even forgot about that. Well, here's the thing, like, so...
Starting point is 00:22:58 It seems like they abduct these people for a variety of reasons. Like, one is so that Otis can do weird experiments, art, to get his art on. Like he makes Dwight into Fish Boy. And then I'm actually enjoying. Which is definitely a nod to like freaks, right? Yeah, and to like all those old like carny side shows and stuff. So there's that. But then they also abduct them so that Dr. Satan can do his experiments on them??? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. the. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. their. their. th. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. their. their. their. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. the. the the th. the the the the the th. the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. that, but then they also abduct them so that Dr. Satan can do his experiments on them? Yeah. But they also abduct them just to like kill him and put him in trunks of cars. And write like trick-or-treat on them and stuff. Why? That's the thing. It's like,
Starting point is 00:23:35 there's no motivate. I don't understand what. Why does Karen Black kiss a fetus in a jar at one point. Oh yeah she calls it by a name too, like Leroy or something. I don't know. Why does that happen? I don't know. Why does the Ramones just start playing in one scene? I don't know. I mean I liked it. I was glad the Ramones were there. Did you? Did you look at Rufus's pictures on IMDB? No. He's just very, very pensive for a big man. Am I doing this right? I think he's doing okay. Oh, here he is wearing a House of a Thousand Corps' t-shirt. Oh, I was in it. I'm still looking at him, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:24:15 I did like when, uh... He looks nice. He's just a lovable giant. A ted-y-tea. Big teddy bear. Big guy. I can't remember who called Chris Hardwick this, but he called him the cub reporter for the daily asshole.
Starting point is 00:24:35 I really like that. See, I don't like any of that. Because I imagine Rob Zomby writing that being like, ah. Did Rob Zambi write it or did Sherry Moon's zombie request to do Betty-bopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopop, th. th. th. th. to do to do to do to do to do to do to do th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to do to do th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. to go. to go. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. toda. to. today, today, today, today, today, tod like, blah, blah, blah. Did Rob Zombie write it or did Sherry Moon zombie request to do Betty Boop lip-sinking? She definitely requested to do that. What is the Betty Boop thing? I don't get it. I don't get it at all.
Starting point is 00:24:58 You know what I think is weird is when you see a Betty Boop tattoo. Oh yeah. Yeah. What is the Betty Boot? She's from the 40s? I think. Okay. She's just like a sexy lady, right? With a big head. Why her head so big? I liked when they were trying to escape,
Starting point is 00:25:17 and Bill Mosley was one of the scarecrows. Yeah, I'm, there's, is there more than one person that jumps down off the poles? Yeah, Tiny is also up there. I like that a lot, yeah. Because that's one of those things that I'm like, like if I am at a haunted house and I have a scarecrow, like I'm constantly like, huh? Is that gonna, nope, no, that's not it. The haired today house I ever to to to to to to th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes thoes, I thoes thoes, I thoes, I thoes, thoes, thoes, thoom. I thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I th line out to the haunted house which was like way far out in the woods. Yeah. The hayride stops at one point and a scarecrow dropped from a tree branch. A person dresses a scarecrow dropped from a tree branch onto the the back of the hayride and I was like just take me back I'm not going. I still had to go. They make me just they won't take you back they won't take you back. They'll just just just just just just just just just the the the the they they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just. They'll just they'll just they'll just. They'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just they'll just. They'll just. They'll just just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. They'll just. that again. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Uh-uh. They could have dropped a fake scarecrow down and I still would have probably shitted myself. He had a chainsaw. First of all, how's a scarecrow going to operate a chainsaw? If I only had a chainsaw? Yeah. But yeah, I really liked that, like, fake scareger. I also liked in the beginning when their, their, their, their, their, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thin, thin, thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii's thi's grain. I also liked in the beginning when the heist was happening and the guy came running in
Starting point is 00:26:26 and the giant captain spalding head. It's like, this is weird, what's going on? I did like the other guy being also being like, I know you, you worked out of the hardware store. That whole thing was pretty good. But then that's, that is a very promising start to this movie, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, even, this, this, th. th. Yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, like, like, like, like, like, th, thi, thi, like, like, th, th, th, th, th, th. This, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. This, th. This, thi, thi, thi, like, like, like, like, this, like, thi. This, this, this, thi. This, thi. This, then it's just... What the fuck shit do you mean? Shit, shit, shit, shit. And then the whole thing just... It's just everything he's ever liked. Everything.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Giant creature from the Black Lagoon poster? Yeah. Why wouldn't there be? Why? Why not? Why not? I don't? Oh, my other favorite thing that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that favorite thing that I had the note this may be the best thing in a movie, when Tiny visits Denise when she's all tied up and dressed like a baby
Starting point is 00:27:11 doll and he has a box of Agatha Krispies. I didn't notice that, but I really like. That's pretty funny, that I like. But then he disgustingly eats them and I hate what people disgustingly eat. Speaking of disgusting, what did you think of when he kissed the girl with her dad's face? That happens in Texas Chainsaw Massaker, doesn't it? I don't like two maybe? I don't remember too. Yeah. But it was gross. Yeah. And the fact that like, oh, that's very twisted. Yeah. And she didn't realize it wasn't her dad for a second? And she's like, daddy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:46 No, that's a lady, you drunk. Also then they put them in those costumes and I was like, oh, those sheep costumes are adorable. And then they say rabbit 450 times. And I was like, are you just, lambs to the slaughter. I thought it was biblical. No, it's the rabbit, rabbit, rabbit, rabbit. Here, rabbit, rob- Okay, I fucking get a cherry moon zombie.
Starting point is 00:28:13 I'm the stupid one. I think Bill mostly yells, run, for 20, 25 minutes. Yeah. The next one I have says, they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they says they haven't said it like 45 fucking times for me to be sure. Do you know that Rob Zoni likes the monsters? I couldn't tell from this movie. Who was the guy that his dad called that's like the long hair like Jeff Bridges looking
Starting point is 00:28:34 bother that he calls up that then calls the police? What? I don't know? Like I thoo.. And then the the the the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi.. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho.. tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..., I thought that guy was a cop, that was like, cops that look like that? Oh yeah, I think he's the mayor. Okay. Because he, yeah, he shows up and just, then he doesn't die. Uh-uh. And he takes no more concern of this.
Starting point is 00:28:57 No. No. Interesting. Why did he need to did not that I recognized or saw in any of my research. Research. I actually did a little research on this movie too. Yeah. I read some reviews of it on Rotten Tomatoes and there were two in a row there were foreign
Starting point is 00:29:12 language reviews and one was in French and it had incoherent which means incoherent and the Spanish one below it said estuido. And I was like, yaye. I stupid. said, a stupido. And I was like, yay! I hope you review it's just this incoheral and a stupido. Incaux? A stupido. How did you feel about the liquor store being called Red Hot Pussy Lickers? Is that clever? Nope. No. It was like all the jokes were just iron on t-t-shirts from the 70s. Yeah, and the lady didn't have any pants on. She's walking around their pants. Those aren't pants, Alan. No. Chaps. You could see her butt though, right? Yeah, a full
Starting point is 00:29:55 butt. Yeah. It just. And that whole scene was very strange too because you think something's going to happen, but it doesn't. Yeah, its name is G. Ober. Guber. That was kind of funny, I guess. But then. But then, the the the the the the the the the their. their, their, their, their, their, their, they, th, they's they's they's th they's they's th th th th th th th th th th. Those th. Those th. And then he's like, oh, it's going to be really expensive. And you think, oh, they're going to me. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Much better. If you thought that was annoying, may I recommend watching the movie House of a Thousand
Starting point is 00:30:33 Courts. I was surprised how quickly everybody dies off except for Denise. Like, they kill everybody. I don't even care though. Did you like them at any point? No, no, I was just I expected more of them to hang around for a little while longer. But like you, like in Texas Jane's on Massacre, you're pulling for Sally, aren't you? Oh yeah. Yeah, I don't give a shit about Franklin and he's fucking. No, you don't give a shit about it. I wish his name was Dwight in this movie.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Oh, he, that poor man can never be anything but Dwight Trut. I had to put aside all my Chris Hardwick prejudices when watching this. At least he wasn't trying to interview anybody. Talking about being a nerd. Oh, you're so nerdy, but it's so weird because I'm handsome. Isn't that weird guys? I'm handsome, I've been on TV for 20 years. Get the fuck out of here. Do you know I worked with Jenny McCarthy? I don't think you would ever say that.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Oh, man. Oh, the generation of polio by Jenny McCarthy. What is that? Oh, you know, she was all big on the anti-vaxing movement. Still people, people believe that. Can you believe that? If you're an anti-vaxer, hang up, I don't want you listening to this. Not the first time we've said that.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Really? Yeah, vaccinating your children. Vaccineate your fucking children. Hurt immunity, it's real. It has to talk. I heard somebody today say that their kid has an egg allergy because they got them vaccinated. Nope. Nope. Okay, I'm done.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Friend of the podcast, Justin Gray. Egg allergy. And polio, so weird. Just kidding. He's fine. He's fine. He's fine. I just saw him this weekend. He's fantastic. He's a good guy. Got out of that iron lung, huh? For that egg allergy?
Starting point is 00:32:27 Yeah. Um, years ago he told me to watch this movie for one specific scene. Okay. He agrees that the rest of the movie, not so good, but he really loves one specific scene. I want to guess which one it is. Okay. None of them are good, so what could it be? I want to tell you.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Okay, just tell you. It's a dad laying face down in the puddle after he's been shot and cop on his knees with the gun in the back of his head, when the camera just keeps panning out on Bill Mosley like holding the gun to his head? No, no remember of this movie. And Justin was like it's a really good scene. It's really well shot. And I feel like it's kind of like listening to a song going, mm-mm, good note. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I actually kind of disagree with Justin on this point, too. Because I felt like, OK, I get it. Fire the gun. Like, it's built. There's a, there's building tension, and then there's holding it too long. You th I I I I I I I I I I I I I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thi. thi. to to to to tho. tho. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. th. th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. the. the. the. the. thea. to to toea. toea. toea. toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooension and then there's holding it too long. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah, I felt like it was just like Rob Zombie being like what if it just keep, nope, dip, just keep going, just keep going. You can't force tension. You can't force tension. Yeah. Maybe if I was on board I would have been, because people love this movie. Because people love this movie. Because people love tho thevee th th th th th th th th th the th th th the the th th th th the th thi thi their thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their their their their tho- I their their tho-I tho-like, tho-like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their, their, their, their their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi, thi. to to to to tho-I's to to to to-s, tip, tip, tip, tip, tip, to person who loves this movie and it's a type of person who loves all of the things that Rob Zomb and put in there. I love a lot of them too.
Starting point is 00:33:49 But it's just too mushy for me. Yeah, yeah. It's that syndrome of making a movie that's everything that you like. And not making an homage, but just making like a derivative thing of that. Yeah, just putting all of the elements together, but not making them your own in any way. I almost felt like the interstitial things that he was doing with like the little like cartoony looking stuff and all that was to like make it his own. Because he's like a good graphic designer, like I like some of his aesthetic. I like the really bright colors and the monsters and all. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. th. th. the. th. thi. the. the thi. I. th. the thi. the thi. the the thi. Yeah. the they. they. Yeah. they. they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, thi. And, thi. And, th. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, the they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, that white zombie aesthetic with all the really bright colors and the monsters and all that stuff. Like when they eat the cacti and Beavis and Butte Head do America? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:31 What song is that? That's a good song? You don't remember. It's a white zombie song. Probably something about a 65 Thunder Kiss or something. But like, you know, like that, it's sort of like, just that old like hot rod, like, cartoony aesthetic I like. Sure. But that doth not make it your own thing when you're just redoing Texas chainsaw massacre. And I think it to this movie's detriment, it really chops up the narrative, which was having some troubles as it was, you know? Sure. And I wonder if those were actually in there to try and like fix that? To make it seem less disjointed because it seems like... Because you're not watching the whole story all at once. Right, so we're making it more disjointed to make it seem less disjointed. That doesn't make any sense, Robert Zambi.
Starting point is 00:35:19 Have I done my Jimmy E. World joke on here? No. That they've been around long enough that we should start calling them James E. World? No, I like that though. It's kind of the Marcus Mark of jokes, but I'll take it. My Spotify notified me that Jimmy World is playing here next month. And I was like, you know what I'm doing. I'll go get in the middle with you. I saw them over 20 years ago. I have never seen them and I loved Clarity in high school.
Starting point is 00:35:49 It's a great record. Even the album before it is pretty good. Shadik Provide Song was Ratf thinks suicide tanks and cannibal girls. Makes sense to all the things that Rob zombie likes. Chef Kiss his fingers. So they put Denise, who is the survivor of our four, our initial four, they put her in a coffin and lower her down into a well. With Chris Hardwick? Who is like, who is like, who is like, who is like, who is the?
Starting point is 00:36:12 Moos he dead? Yes. He gets dead for a while. He'd like, you thinkthen not dead. I don't think he's what we call an actor. No, they just let him lay there for a while. Because him and Rob Zombie are buddies. And then the other girl gets chased down by Sherry Moon zombie and stabbed to death. Yeah. Which I thought was actually pretty good. Yeah. It was sort of unexpected. Yeah. And then they burn her body. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. And Otis is somewhere, some, for some reason, dressed up like a Mexican sugar skull now? He's suddenly a, yeah, Dia de Los Muerto's skull. A stupido.
Starting point is 00:36:54 But wearing like a long like ceremonial cloak now and just like, what? He looks like Richmond from the IT crowd all of a sudden. Oh God, I love that. I love Richmond. Oh yeah. Cradle of fills. Oh boy. Oh, man. So they lower Chris Hart.
Starting point is 00:37:19 And Denise down into the water. And there's zombies in the water. Why, how do they live? That's steel Chris Hart. They're muddy. Keep that skin real fresh. Little mud bath. How do they breathe? How do they breathe? They don't breathe? Are they zombies? Yeah, yeah, for sure. I thought they were just other people. No, he's like a zombie doctor. That's why he made the giant, Nazi zombie thing. That's a zombie thing. That's th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, the the the the the the th. Oh, th. What Nazi? It wasn't a Nazi but it should have been. What? The movie axe that chases the woman down. Oh, that's a zombie too. Is it? Yeah it takes out its breathing tube and a bunch of mulloch falls out of it. Oh a bunch of mulloch did fall out of it and then all that foam fell on him. You like that set looks so shitty. The wood just bounces on him. It looked the thu. th just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It th. Starting point is 00:38:07 Yeah. But, so we meet Dr. Satan. He's real. I guess. He lives in this immaculate bone shrine. I'm sorry, they could not have done that. Maybe Dr. Satan built it. Why do they, why, what is their relationship to Dr. Satan in the family? Yeah. Yeah. he he he he he Yeah. he Yeah. he Yeah. he. th. th. th. th. It th. It th. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. Why do they, why, what is their relationship to Dr. Satan, the family? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Okay. Yeah, he's real. I don't know. I can't for the life of me figure it out. I don't know, because he was hung but then his body wasn't there in the morning. Where do they leave it? Hanging in a torn off in the hanging? No, but he was old and dead or something, so he had like robot arms that he was doing his surgery with.
Starting point is 00:38:48 They were like pistons on his real, he became very steampunky, just like they're the robot zombie thing. Is this a Glenn Hetrick wet dream? Oh, tiny Danzig. Hold me closer, tiny dancing. He's... Wait, I just thought of something. What? Is Rob Zombie short for Robot Zombie?
Starting point is 00:39:13 Robot Zombie. Robot zombie sounds like a weird adult swim cartoon. Sure. Robot Chicken, robot zombie. Yeah. Seth Green does a bunch of voices on that. That I would love. You know, I feel about Seth Green.
Starting point is 00:39:27 We all love him. It's National Treasure. I don't see no hose, Kenny. Now you get that joke! I just struck Alan with my hand, just so you know. I heard it. They heard it. It was the slap the slobent. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. to. the. the. the. to. the. the. th. th. th. th. the. the the. the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. t. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. te. te. teat. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. t want to say? Oh, and it's happening on Halloween. Oh, yeah. Does that have anything to do with it?
Starting point is 00:39:47 Nope. Okay. There's Halloween decorations everywhere, and Halloween's the spookiest time of the year. Maybe they're like not distressed by all of this weird decorations because they think they're Halloween decorations? Well, it is Halloween, Denise. Done, done and done. Look, I just wrote it for you, Robert, zombie. So, Denise escapes in like the typical hand shooting out of the earth. Oh, the carry, yeah. She carries, she carries slash descents it. Yeah. And then she's in the desert and she gets picked up by Cap and Spalding. Who's driving like a sporty little red coop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Convertible, yeah. And he vixer oven, he's like, just go to sleep. We're going to take you to the hospital now. And then Bill Mosley pops out of the back seat. And doesn't say or do anything. And they're just like, then this is the end, and then the the the end, and the end, and the end, and the the the the the end, and the, and the, and the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, just is, the, just, the, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, the, the, the, the, the, the the, the the, the the, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the., the the the the., Banner, now, no, Bump, bum, bump, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum.
Starting point is 00:40:47 that's it. That's all there is to say. You want to go to the ratings face? Could we just end the episode right there? I think that's it. That's all there is to go first on this one? I really like Rob Zamb. I feel like I could really like be brows with him. I feel like if you was here you would just be hugging him. I would. This is short. Yeah, yeah, it looks like he should be short. Yeah, and like just wearing like bell bottoms and scarves and I'm like you're doing it. He's like white Lenny Kravets. Remember what Lenny Kravitz wore that giant scarf? I love it! It looks so comfy.
Starting point is 00:41:29 I didn't hate this as much the first time I watched it. Again, it was that thing if I know what I'm getting myself into. And it probably helped that I watched a bunch of interviews with Rob Zombie before I watch the movie. You were just like, you're my friend, and I love you. It's a five. Just a five. It's a five. If you like it, you're going to like it, that kind of thing, but it's not for me. It's not for me.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Mm-mm. Yeah, I think all of the elements are good, but they're good because they were good in other things. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I think th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi think I think I thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. It's like, it's watchable. Yeah, it's not bad. It's bad though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Yeah. This is that. I feel like those few lines we just exchanged some up our podcast where you're like, it's bad. And roll credits like, yeah. And roll credits. Question mark? Question mark?
Starting point is 00:42:29 Dooddle. I mean, yeah, it's like, I think we've covered all of the things that are wrong with it. Five. There's also some good gross shit in it though. Like putting your dad, someone's dad's face on and kissing them with it. And like that autopsy footage where someone just like finger in a bust up mouth. Yeah, just boo-bidi-boo-bid-bibbid. Not a fan. And like they cut off, um, part of, they cut off Jerry's skull.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Yeah, I appreciated that. That's fine. Sure, I'm. That's all. Yeah. I think Brian Posane gets killed in the next one. Spoilers for the next one. Yes, spoils for next week as we do a... No, no, wait, I'm sorry. No, we're doing something even worse next week. As soon as I walked in, Alan pitched this to me and I was like, yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Well, before we give them that information, because we know that they Yeah, they don't listen to the end. Can I read you something that we received in Durn of Mailbag? Oh my god, you're doing so well. Yeah. From Dakota. Hedder of the email, thank you. Oh, you're welcome, Dakota. Just wanted to reach out and say thank you again for always supplying great content. Great content. Not just content. Great content., that's part of us being... Influencer! Yes, yes. The word I can never remember and I'm like, integral? Nope, that's not it. Integer's.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Nope, nope, nope, nope. That's something else. I try listening to another horror movie podcast that shall remain nameless. There are others? We'll call it the next part but I might give away what other podcast it was. Anyway. You're gonna get mad about this though. Me. One of the hosts argue that Queen of the Damned is a better movie that interview with a vampire. That you probably don't care about because you've never seen
Starting point is 00:44:17 an interview with a vampire. That I'm just confused by. I don't know how that happens to anyone. And in another episode they said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said said th. And in another episode, they said the transformation scene from an American werewolf in London isn't that good. That's wrong. I know. That's just objectively wrong. Can't trust somebody like that is the final line in email. You're right, Dakota. You're right, Dakota. Fuck them., anyway, thanks again for a great show. It's the final line. Forgive me. That's nice. Thanks Dakota. Hey, it's always nice to be appreciated. And also nice to hear that you're better than somebody else. Because let's face it's all all we all want. I kind of want to know who that is so I could debate the transformation scene an American were wolf. Like, I haven't seen an interview with a vampire, but I'm. the v v v v v v. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th of th. thi thi thi. thi. th. th. th. thi thi. It's th Damned. Just because Alia has great abs doesn't make it a good movie. No. God rest her soul.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Just because corn does the sound, oh wait, that actually makes it a worse movie. It makes it a worse movie. Duh. Duh. Katie. Yeah. I have a question for you. I first are you going to put any white zombie or rob zombie songs in this in this in this in this in this in this in th songs in th songs in th songs in th songs in th songs in this episode. Any or all of them. Thank you. Is there particularly what you'd like? No, they're all the same. Yeah. I'll just do a
Starting point is 00:45:30 matchup where I lay them all on top of each other. Like that country music song thing. Do you ever see that? So weird. I love that. If you guys don't know just YouTube, all country songs are the same and I think you'll probably find it pretty quickly. It's. It's. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. Like it's really weird. What are we gonna do next week? Let's do another rock and roll musicians movie. What's it gonna be? Let's do Esther Angelland starring Desiree Snyder.
Starting point is 00:46:05 What is D-Short for? D-Nus. D-Skidder of Twisted Sizzeder. Should we drink Twisted Ice Tea while we do this? I'll pick some up. I'll get a six-er. Oh, that would be really funny. I think so too. I'll get a sixer. I'll get six. Oh, that would be really funny. I think so too. I'll get an Uber home.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Twisted ice. I had drank too many twisted ice teasing. You're gonna take me home. We're gonna be Strangeland. Strange land. Is that available? Yeah, it is. It's a bargain bin. It's a nice price. Like you're getting a good grapefruit. It's a nice price for a grapefruit.
Starting point is 00:46:50 You're gonna make sure you tap it to make sure it sounds good. That's a watermelon. No, I like to imagine you're there in whole foods. This one is good. Okay, okay, the grapefruits. They're delicious. So we're going to talk about strange lights. It's on Amazon and I'm sure other places as well. Yeah, I'm sure. Like a fendango.
Starting point is 00:47:19 This is one of those, it's like, this is going to be funny. I have not seen this since I was maybe 14, but I gotta say, it scared me. Or we're gonna be really depressed after we watch it. We're not though, I watch the trailer, it's gonna be really funny. Okay, good, I don't wanna be depressed. So let us know if you're excited about Strangeland.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Let us know that you are excited about Strangelan. Suggests other rock and roll movies because they're gonna be fun. Yeah, we were trying to think of other movies made by... Oh, I just thought of one. What is it? Rock and roll nightmare by... Rock and roll nightmare by the musician Thor. I've never heard of that. Oh boy, howdy. Captain Howdy? Oh, so find us on Facebook.
Starting point is 00:48:04 Yeah. Yeah. Twitter. Instagram. Gmail, wear all family is at Gmail. thimaids. Leave us a review on iTunes. Talk about how much we eat other podcasts on our iTunes because that's funny. We're petty like that.
Starting point is 00:48:16 We get shirts in the works. Yeah, work shirts. No, no, that's not the one. What if we did, just 90 Yeah, work shirts. No, no, that's not the one. What if we did just 90s style man work shirts with somebody else's name? They all say Carlos. And come back next week and let's know another episode of Whirling's Ambulance. Thanks for listening to this episode of Whirl of Ambulance. Bye. Is that good? Burner, goodbye. No, meow. M-m-. Meow, meow, meow, meow.
