Starting point is 00:02:13 So tremors. Okay, so I think the part of the problem is my ex-boyfriend really liked this movie. Yeah. He's stupid. Okay, okay. Apparently I have a type, and my type is men that think Tremors is good. Because Rob is also really into this movie. Okay. And it's just, I don't, it's not. What if that was your like, your tinder profile? You look, Trummers, ah, I don't, but I like you.
Starting point is 00:02:40 They say opposite to track. You know this movie has five sequels? Tremors Five Aftershocks is currently available on Netflix, I believe. Do you know this movie spawned a television series? I saw that on Wikipedia and was a shock. It was a flabbergasted. This movie was not financially all that successful. Oh, it was kind of a flippity flop.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Yeah. Maybe I don't like this movie because I don't like country music. What about a country can't ever make it though? Um, I know. Are they boyfriends? They're boyfriends, right? Yeah, I think. Yeah, I think. I think it's great.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Missy asked me the same question. Yeah, yeah. That's okay. I think it's great. I think, especially for 1990, that's very woke of this movie. Right now somebody's so mad because they're not boyfriends. Somebody's just yelling at their phone. They're definitely a boyfriend. I have a theory about this movie. It's my footloose is tremors theory. Oh. The grabboids are mad about dancing. It's probably a lot of vibrations on their heads.
Starting point is 00:03:46 They don't want that. Trying to shut that shit down. Yeah, I like that. I like that a lot. I wish there had been a Kevin Bacon dance freakout scene like there is in footloose. He's not freaking out. He's just feeling it. He's definitely angry dancing. That's true. And who hasn't? Starting point is 00:04:08 This is our second Kevin Bacon movie. Remind me what the first one was? Ah, Friday the 13th. Oh yeah, he gets that great death scene. Yeah? This is our second Victor Wong movie. Big trouble in Little China. We have not done that, but we did do Prince of Darkness. Oh my God, he's in Prince of Darkness. That movie's so fucking bad. And surprisingly, our second Sunshine Parker movie. You don't even see his face except for that one little shot. When he's stuck
Starting point is 00:04:34 up on the high-tension tower. And I was like, holy shit, that's Sunshine Parker. He was in, um, Pet Cemetery? Roadhouse. Roadhouse, Roadhouse, right, right, right, right. They're all blending together to me. Imagine confusing Pet Cemetery and Roadhouse. Remember the time they buried Sam Elliot and came back and dead? That is a movie I would watch. Oh yeah, he'd still be sexy and dead. I know, I know. So skeazy in that movie.

Starting point is 00:05:42 How do you feel about Fred Ward? His co-star. The older gentleman? Yes. I find him attractive and charismatic. Yeah, yeah. Does he do other things or no? Oh yeah, he was in a bunch of movies in the 80s. He was almost 50 when they made this movie, which I found shocking.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Yeah, he looks great. It does. What was the movie? He was known for, oh, this movie called Remo Williams, which was like this real weird 80s movie that he was very well known for. Yeah, yeah, fair word, and a bunch of stuff. And Reba, MacIntyre. Fuck yeah. She's so great and not so great in this movie. Yeah, I feel like she could do better. Yeah. And it has done better.
Starting point is 00:06:25 And she had like a television show for a long time. I mean, she knows how to act. And in this, she's just. She's a wooden. Yeah. And her husband is Michael Gross, the dad from family ties. Yeah. And he's in a town called Perfection?
Starting point is 00:06:46 I'm not sure what state it's in, did they say? Nevada. Oh, okay. It has a population of 14. Which is a literal nightmare. That's what should be scary, is living with 13 other people. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, that's a horror movie.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Come to life, without worms underground. So I have a big problem with Melvin in this movie. Why is he living alone in a shack, you mean? That's one of the problems. And now like he's just a prick. Yeah. From the word go, he's a prick. And then I'm like, oh wait, he's literally the only teenager in this town. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:23 His life is a thecape. It's true. Where are his parents? Why does he live alone in a shack? I don't know. If you look through the the cast, he's the only one with the last name plug. So he's not anyone's child. There's nobody else in there. Is he meant to be an adult? I don't know. So yeah, we meet these two lovable scamps, Val and Earl? Only one of them is a lovable I would say. Kevin Bacon is terribly unlovable in this movie. Really? Yes, very unlikable. I like Kevin Bacon. I do not like him in this movie. He's obnoxious. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, and yeah, and he's just, he's got a lot of a lot of opinions about stuff. And he's stupid and I don't like stupid people with lots of opinions like myself.

I think they look really cool. They do, but there's so few of them. It's true. The problem with this movie at its core is that it's a lot of people running from from nothing. A lot of shots.
