Starting point is 00:00:00 Santa Sangria. Santa Sangria. I don't... The holy wine with fruit in it. I don't practice Sangria. I do. I practice it so much that sometimes I worry about my teeth. Getting them wine teeth. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Yeah. That's, I mean, just better than Sangre. Better than Sangre. It's true. I was just debating whether to take take to to to to to to to take to to the to to to the to to the to though, better than song gray. It's true. I was just debating whether to take a tweet that I read on the internet and pass it off as my own original material, but I will not. But do you think that sublime cover bands really do have to practice Santeria? Somehow I saw that tweet as well. Yeah, I may have retweeted it. That might be why. And yes, I thi's th I th I thi thi th I thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi theateateateateateateateateat-a theat it, I that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. And yes, I thi. And thi. And thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi that's that that that that that that that that that they do. Yeah, yeah. Hi Katie. I ain't got no crystal ball.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Hey, how are you, Alan? It's me, Katie. I'm doing all right, it's me, Alan. Good. Ah, it's me, Alan. It's a, ah, you are. Oh, man, this movie. Yodosky. What a maniac, right?
Starting point is 00:01:22 Yeah. You feel bad that his kids are in this movie? Why are all these lunatics always putting their children in movies? Who else is going to be in these weird-ass movies? I don't. I do like that because their brothers, they looks like an age, and you know an older version of one to the other, but don't do this to your kids. I mean, it's not as messed up as like Argento killing his children. Or like having his daughter get raped on screen. Yeah. She turned out just fine as it turns out.
Starting point is 00:01:51 World is a vampire. Yeah. I think it's set to, set to drain. Yeah. Yeah. Man. Oh, man. Welcome to 2018. At least, I was about to 2018.
Starting point is 00:02:05 At least, I was about to say at least it's almost over but we're not even through the third quarter. No, no, no. And in football terms, there's still a quarter, two quarters, three quarters? Touchdown. Touchdown. I was talking about financial quarters because that's my job. I know, I know. But also football is my job. It is, I know. But also football is my job.
Starting point is 00:02:25 It is, I've won so many Super Bowl rings I can't even like talk about it anywhere. So you're one of those people that just drives around their big city of champions man? Yes, playing chameleon by Herbie Hancock. Wow, that was a really good matchup that no one will get the references to. I know. We're here to talk about the Alejandro Jodrosky. Is that his movie Santa Sangre? Suggested by Vinyl Toy. What's up, Vinyl Toy? Sorry, you let Gary Buse kiss you, Alan's shimming pictures, and I felt real bad for you. Your hair looks great though. It does. Ugh, that guy. The Buse? The buose? Both buses, really. So this is a rare my research may have ruined the movie for me.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Why? I did no research. And also, can I show you the notes? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I'm empty-handed. I took no notes.
Starting point is 00:03:19 You're sun to sons notes. Yes, that's perfect. Uh, Jodoroski has made some really shitty statements about rape and sexual assaults. Like in El Topo and, yeah, and claiming that he'd rape someone in a movie and then denying that he said that even though he wrote it in a book. Yeah, that's how they twist your words though is by you writing them down. Yeah, no, he's gross. And I didn't really know it. I'd th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. S. th. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. S. S. S. th. th. I. th. to. th. I. to. to. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. S. S. S. S't really know, I'd heard it but I didn't know anything about it and then like I researched it right before I watched and I was like I probably should have waited. Yeah. Because it really tainted my viewing of this film which is not kind to women it turns out. No, did you think
Starting point is 00:03:58 that it was? No. You'd seen it before right. Here's another fun fact. Sure. Last time I saw this movie. this this this this this this th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. th. I was watching th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I thi. I thi. I th. I theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea. I theeeeea. I thee. fact. Sure. Last time I saw this movie, definitely drunk. Oh sure. And like, I was watching this going, oh, I don't, oh, I don't remember any of this. Like, at the beginning and the end, I strongly remember and that's it pretty much. It's lunacy. It's insane. Yeah. This movie makes Alukada look like a masterpiece thi the masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a masterpiece, a of linear thought. I mean, I don't know. It's beautiful. It looks great. The church of the girl with no arms is amazing. I want to live in it in its blood pool that's full of paint.
Starting point is 00:04:39 I don't understand why Phoenix has a cell that is so tall, that it can accommodate a large tree. I don't know. I assume, so watching a Drodrosky movie, I assume that everything that he's done is for like some sort of thematic reason. Yeah. And then years ago I watched this movie with commentary. His commentary? Yeah, his comment, someone was interviewing and I'm like, oh, why is the elephant bleeding
Starting point is 00:05:10 out of its nose? Is that a symbolism of like the Catholic church? Blah, blah, blah, blah. I thought it looked good. Yeah. It does too though. Why does the horse have all the tattoed lady. Because that was cool. I thought she looked like a horse. Yeah. I was just like. Yeah. So it just looks cool. That's why it looked cool. You're everything my friends who don't
Starting point is 00:05:32 like art make fun of about art. I just thought it looked cool. Yeah, I disagree. I disagree because I find that a thing that really annoys me about people who make movies is them telling you how important their movie is. Yeah. Or this super important th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I just just that's that's th. I just th. I just th. I just that's just th. I just th. I just that's just th. I just just th. I just th. I just th. I just th. It's just th. It's just just th. It's just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just th. I just just th. I just just th. I just th. I just th. I th. I just just th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I just just just just th. I th. I th. I just just th. I just th. I just th. I just th. I just th. I just thi. I just thi. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. telling you how important their movie is, yeah, or this super important message that it's trying to get across. Sometimes it's okay to just make something because it looks cool. Yeah, yeah. So I kind of appreciate just putting tattoos on a horse for no fucking reason. Like, why not? the woman might look like a horse? Wait, like, this dude is just a provocateur. He is just like a button pusher. He's a troll.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Yeah, exactly. That's the best way to say. If he had Twitter, which he probably does. Yeah. He'd be like just trolling people in the thing is, this movie is pretty much impenetrable. How do we talk about such a film? It's impenetrable, you say? Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Well, we can talk about all of the silliness of it. Like, this movie presupposes that women are dying to fuck gross men with theirntail. Yeah, I got a fucking Orgo. What is the deal with Orgo? Who's somebody? I can't remember who he is, but he's somebody. Yeah, he was like a hunky actor in the 60s. Yeah, Guy Stockwell, which is... It's so like, I need a name, I need a name, Guy Stockwell. Gotcha, I'll see over there. Right. Yeah, Guy Stocko to Orgo. to Fuco. Is that his first name or his name or the name or the name or that his name or that his name or that his name or that his name or that his name. that his name. that their? that their?, fucking Orgo. Orgo. Is that his first name or his last? Yes. His mother, so that he is the father of our main character Phoenix.
Starting point is 00:07:09 And he's married to Concha, who is a religious fanatic? Yeah, when we made her, she's like the zealot for the church of Santa Sangre. Yeah. But you see, she's like really quickly becomes becomes humanizes when her son is crying and she like picks up her son and hugs him and walks away from the church and you're like, all right. So you think, oh, she's doing the right thing. She's making the right choice, she's making the human choice. Yeah, especially when she fixed up a kid that's almost her exact same ti. I know, I thought that was be very sweet. Oh yeah, very sad. And you want to protect him. Yeah, especially when his dad gives him that stick and poke.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Why? It looks like a good tattoo later in life too, which doesn't seem right because I've seen a lot of stick and poke's age. They do not age well. No. No. It's sort of the beauty of them. It's a beauty is a word. is eventually just gonna say ski. I love how their, the tattoos are obviously markers. They're obviously like just fucking felt-tip marker.
Starting point is 00:08:10 For, I think all the attention was put on other things in this movie. I mean the woman, the tattooed woman's tattoos look a terrible. They look really bad. They look like a stiff spittle would take them all off. Yeah. And she is just down to dance. Just dancing and fucking and dancing. That's her life. Dancing.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Alergic to dancing? Her outfit at the funeral things in this movie. Yeah, I didn't even think you could get that in funeral colors. She nailed it. Yeah, she really did. And I also didn't think that you could get electric cowboy in funeral colors. I have a work-o-rock the-fuck out of that. Alma is dressed, is she dressed in a tutu? I think she might be. I think so. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's pretty. It's. It's. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. I. I. I. Yeah. I. Yeah. I. I. I. Yeah. I. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah outfit later. As an adult. So Alma is young
Starting point is 00:09:06 Phoenix's best friend. Yes. She's mute and deaf. And a mime. And a tie rope walker. And a reluctant tight rope walker. It is on fire. Yeah, no it's not a good idea for her at all to do. Every parent but contra sucks in this movie. Sure. And it points she definitely sucks as well in this movie. yes. It is on this movie. Yeah. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, th, th, th. th, th. th. th, th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi, thi, thi, thi. Yes, thi. Yes, thi. Yes, thi. Yes, th. Yes, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, th. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes, th. Yes, th. Yes, th. Yes, th. Yes, th. Yes, th th th th th th. Yes, thi. Yes, thi. Yes, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. Yes, thi. Yes, thi. Every parent but contra sucks in this movie. Sure. And it points she definitely sucks as well in this movie but she's got a lot going on. It's also not her fault. Everything that happens after her death is not her fault. No. Because she's not there. Wait what? Yes. Spoilers for this movie. It's a thing that weirds me out because his mother that he invents in his mind later is incredibly vindictive. But his mother in real life, like, what's, it didn't seem to be that bad?
Starting point is 00:09:48 Oh, she had a lot of compassion? She had a lot of compassion and she just like lost her mind for a second. Yeah. Which is a thing that happens to people? Sure. Yeah, when you have these traumatic life events happening. But also, like, why is she th, why, why, why, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thu, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that thi. thi. th charismatic. He's not. He looks like a thumb with a goatee and hair on top of it. And like he's a knife thrower, which I think is supposed to be sexy. It's the most erotic of throwings. Fair. The heavily sexualized throwing of knives. That's what this movie should be subtitled.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Well, to back up just a little bit, I mean, back up, we're just willy-nilly, but... No, I'm not going through this plot by plot, it doesn't make any sense. So when Phoenix is in the asylum, I assume, and he's living in a tree inside of a room, he's gone feral. Yeah, he's eating a fish, raw fish with his hands the. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi. thi, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thi, th. Well, th. Well, th. Well, th. Well, th. Well, th. Well, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. the. the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the. the feral. Yeah. He's eating fish, raw fish, with his hands and teeth. At no point do we see him, we see him as a child. Yeah. And these horrific life events are happening to him. Yeah. And then we see him feral. We don't see the intervening the fuck happen to make that guy go feral. I don't know, because he would have always been with people, it seems, yeah. And it's also also the the the the people the people the people, the people, the people, the people, the people, the the the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi's thi's thi's thi's, thi's, thi's, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thi. the. the. to make that guy go feral. I don't know, because he would have always been with people, it seems, yeah. And it's also the people at the asylum are like, you need to get out more. Like, dude's eating a raw fish with his bare hands and perching in a tree nude.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Like maybe he doesn't need to get out. There's other things we need to do with him. And then he quickly becomes like unfaril. Yeah. He's just communicating and combing his hair and. And hanging out with prostitutes and it just goes, oh my god, what a fucking weird movie. And also why is everyone else in the asylum just have Down syndrome? I don't, I don't know. It doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I also don't remember any of the giving people with Down syndrome cocaine scene that happens later on. No, you didn't remember that? No. Oh, man. That's a movie. That's a movie. That's a movie.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Yeah, before they go to a sex worker, they all get cocaine. Yeah, I didn't remember any of this movie because this movie was rated NC 17 because of course it is. Sure. But there's an R cut and I'm pretty sure that's what I saw. Oh. So they probably took out the drug use. I would think so. And some of the gratuitous sexual assaults and stuff that are happening throughout the movie. Yeah. I bet they didn't take out all those people going, holy blood! Holy blood! Holy blood! Which I want to be my new ringtone. Oh, I'm sorry, I have a call. I love the contradation of the Catholic Church where the like, what, the Monsignor. It's just like, it's just paint. It's not really blood. Yeah. I like that a lot. This is no saint! That's how everyone sounds in this movie too.
Starting point is 00:12:52 They're just shouting in accented English. Yeah, that movie wasn't dubbed. Like it's shot in English. Yeah. Could have done it in Spanish and, you know, subtitles. We would have been fine. My favorite character is Aladdin. Yeah. He's great. I didn't, I was sad that he wasn't real to the beginning but who knows what happens to him. Yeah. Probably continues to travel with the circus I would guess. Any of the clowns they hang out with? No, I don't know. I don't know. I do kind of want a troop of ghost clowns that just come and help me in my times of need though.
Starting point is 00:13:27 I really don't want that at all, ever. What if you were just like so constipated and you turn around and there just like ghost clowns cheering you on like, come on Alan, you can do it? And you're like, it task like chocolate. It's a laxanthi. It's like. they. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiolioliolioliol-I. thioliol-I's like, thiolk. thiolk. thiol-I's like, I'll th. th. th. thin. I th. I th. I th. I thin. I I th. I I th. I I th. I I th. I I I I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I's like, I's like, I's like, I's like, I's like, I's like, I's like, I's like, I's like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, toda. toda. toda. toda. toda. toda. toda. toda. toda. today. today. today. today. today. I'm a laxative. You'll be fine. That sucks. It's a fudge log. I'm just thinking like, oh man I already climbed the ladder and I took this light cover down but I didn't grab the light. Oh thanks clown. Yeah, you're right about the church for the Santa Sangre church just being gorgeous. That's the best part of the movie. And it's holy blood, holy blood. It sounds like they're selling hot dogs. I love that everyone is a stereotype too. Like the guy who's coming to knock down the church is just like, I'm money.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Yeah, I'm a stereotype of money. Right. He's like practically lighting a cigar with a burning $100 bill. The cops that are obviously shooting into the crowd when they're supposed to be shooting up in the air. Oh man. Did the elephant death and subsequent being carved up for food make you very sad? Uh, on a scale of one to, oh my god. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It really got me when you see the elephant's trunk flying through the air. Yeah, it's not great. It's not great. But again, it looks gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:14:48 It does. That casket is amazing. Yeah. And the whole like the circus, it reminded me of a something wicked this way comes with like the circus coming through town and like the funeral march playing and all that. And then they dumpto eat the elephant? I don't know why they looked like that. Yeah. I don't know why. Why were they so dusty? I don't know. I guess that's supposed to like be like oh they're like super poor. They're so poor they're covered in dust. Yeah, yeah. That doesn't make sense. I mean, come on. I decided while watching this movie of what my new, like life's work is the the. th. going to be in a brass band that you can
Starting point is 00:15:26 hire to follow you around and just play music that's like relevant to the theme of your day. Oh yeah. You like that? Like we're walking to work, we're walking to work, we're walking, we're walking, oh we miss the bus. Oh we miss the bus. You know what I mean? Second suggestion to follow up on the brass band. Can can can can can can can can can can th. Can th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. the th. the the thus thus tho tho the the tho thi. thi. the thi. the the their their their their their their their the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. th. th. th. th. Like. Like. Like. Like. Like. Like. Like. Like. Like. thi. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. th just do what you did right now and just do musical talk singing of getting people to and from places? Oh, we missed the bus. I don't think people are going to like that.
Starting point is 00:15:54 But if it was like, fra, frah, frah, ferv, fuh. Do you think that would be better? No. Oh, we missed the bus. I love her, you're just going to go into Herbie Hancock songs. Oh, man. I love the Monsignor has Kevin with him. Who the fuck is Kevin?
Starting point is 00:16:20 Oh, he's a Kevin. Why is his name even Kevin? He's just a dude dressed in like Virginal White that things out with the Monsignor's little boy. I don't like that either. Come Kevin, come Kevin, we have to go, Kevin. Yeah. The fuck is Kevin doing here in the first place.
Starting point is 00:16:35 It's a weird that think that's like, Jodoroski peaked and then sailed. He was like, I'm going no further than this, this is as far as I will go. When you achieve maximum maniac? Mm-hmm. What are the hell is there to go? Yeah, how do you age from there? Like suddenly be like, oh, I'm just directing Merchant Ivory movies now.
Starting point is 00:17:05 And... It's true. We talked about the sexualized knife throwing. Yeah. At one point, the tattooed lady and Orgo are about to make out and he's just like putting a knife into her mouth. Did not like, did not like... Why would you?
Starting point is 00:17:23 Why would you? He th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tho? tho? tho? tho? tho? tho? tho? tho? thu? thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooom. tooom. tooom. tooom. too. too. too. too. too. to? to. to be. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. too? too? It. tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooe. toooo. too. I didn't. No, why would you? He's a bad guy. He's got a tattoo drawn with crayons. And he's making you lick a knife. And she's into it, too. She's so down for it. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Yeah. Her hair looks great. It does. And her outfits are amazing. The just bequinsed bikinis. It's just nonsense. It's not even clothes. Oh man. I have the note that just says the mime and Phoenix do a thing.
Starting point is 00:18:00 And then magic, question mark. Is it when she makes the little bird for their hands and makes it fly away? Maybe off of his chest. That's all they communicate, see? Yeah, yeah. Everything's going well for Phoenix and like him and the mime are doing a magic act now. That's what it is. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:18:16 And so they're doing like, she's disappearing and then his mother is suddenly in the box that the mine was in, which like, from a like Freudian standpoint is just fucked up. Very fucked. And then she gets dragged up by her hair, which she is, that's her act I guess. Yeah. Being held by your hair and then lifting a leg, yeah. But when she's up there, she sees Orgo and the tattooed lady going to town on each other. Yeah. So she freaks out, gets set down, grabs acid. the the their. their. their. their their. their their their their their their their their their their the tattooed lady going to town on each other. Yeah. So she freaks out, gets set down, grabs acid. Why did they have that? What? You don't have just a bottle of acid on cork? I have no idea. It was like in a first aid kit. It was like where you would go in the office to look for band aids or ibuprofen. Do we have any like balms or Oh, I'll just take that hydrofluic acid. Yeah, it's a hydrophoric. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Are they the same? I don't know. They're burnies. Get that bottle of burnies. And she burnt or goes dick off. That's great. I love that a lot. And also threw it all over just good to get through. She just, she's a basic bitch.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Drinking her pumpkin spice lattes. I bought a bunch of pumpkin spice coffee. Yeah. To make pumpkin spice cold brew and I was like, you know, Missy, I'm a basic bitch. You are a basic bitch. You know what, anyone who drinks IPAs is also a basic bitch, so like whatever. Don't you mean? This is pumpkin spice lattes for white guys. I love delicious things. Sure, I'm not judging anybody for their tastes. I'm just telling them what they are.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Is that judging? Um, carry the two? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I like the ones that taste like grapefruit. That I can get down with. I can get down with a fruit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Urgo. Urgo. Orgo. Urgo is a baby carrying device. Ergo. Ergo. Orgo decides he can't live without his dick. Yeah. Or tho decides, tho, tho, tho, he he that's, that's, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho, tho, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi to to thi thi thi thi thi. I thi. I throat. Yeah. Which is cool. It looks good. And he just- And fuck that guy.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Yeah, oh yeah. But he does this in front of his son who's locked in a trailer. Yeah. He just collapses onto the ground and dies nude. Oh, after cutting off his wife's arms. With obviously dull knives. Yeah, thoo' thii. How fucking sharp are they? Do you have much force it would take to cut someone's arms off? Uh, no, but I hope that you, oh, god damn, I wanted you to have that statistic.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I'll look at, I'm a, hold on, I'm a mask, Google. How much force is required to cut off someone's arm? Here are some results. The first is from Cora. A lot of people have asked this question. answers, but I'm not going to read them. We've notified law enforcement. Yeah. At least I have this plausible deniability by this podcast. I'll be like, you guys didn't see Santa Sangre. Oh, she's a podcaster, so not a Dahmer. Okay, great.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Oh, yeah. I'm also definitely a Dahmer. He just didn't want anyone to be able to leave him. Do you feel bad for Dahmer. It sucks. It sucks. Sorry. Yeah, he cuts her fucking arms off. It's crazy. It is crazy. It is crazy. And I don't know why none of us, or why any of us thought that she would survive that.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Did you believe that she was alive? Oh, hell's yeah. Yeah. No, she was pretty clearly dead. Again, a testament to how fucking drunk I was the first time I saw this movie that I didn't remember that. That mom lived. But didn't it weird that she hadn't aged? But yeah, I mean, you know.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Sure. What with those laurel products that are out there now? Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Santa Sangre. That should be the tagline of this movie. I agree. Then we, you know, we flash forward to the future, and Phoenix sees his mom out the window and just like climbs out, right? Yeah, yeah. That's fine that he can do that. Throws the rope he was going to previously hang himself with?
Starting point is 00:22:21 Where did he get that rope? Yeah, but he has a tha that that tha that that that tha that tha that tha tha tha tha tha tha tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho- tho- tho- tho- tho- tho- tho- tho- tho- tho- He's in an asylum. Yeah, but he has a tree. So yet there has to be rope. Doy. No, doy. No, doy. Also, he's a fucking genius, because he put the rope around his ankle, then climbed up, then tied it off. And I was like, I would never thought to do that. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Starting point is 00:22:49 He is a gymnast for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess that's that circus life. Yeah. At one point he just starts flipping. Yeah, I like that. I don't even think I can tuck and roll. You should work on it. You should work on it. You're kidding to it. All right. All right. I can't even imagine the thought process you go through before you're like,
Starting point is 00:23:15 all right, my feet are going to leave the ground and I'm going to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to three. Can you? Can you flip? Can you flip? I can do cartwheels. I can do a back walkover, a front hand spring, but I can't do a mid-air flip. I can't do on a trampoline. You can't do a handsless somersault. That's a flip. That's what a flip is. Yeah, but it's like the, instead of just like, you're doing like leg over legs, sort of like, like a som like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like a ss, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, legs, sort of like, like a somersault would be, but handsless.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Would, where, did your head touch the ground? No, nothing toucest. That's a flip. Yeah, but it's a somersault without hands too. I can't do it. A front flip is really hard too because it's a blind landing, you don't see the ground. Exactly. A back flip is a flip is a thi. I. I. I. I. I. I was, that was 20 years ago. I can't, too.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Because I've never belly flopped on the concrete. No, that's probably not true. I probably have at some point. Who amongst us hasn't. No, yeah, gymnastics is cool. Yeah. And I think if I could do it, I would just do it all the time. You're like, oh, what's up? Flip, flip, flap. You're like, oh, someone made a new pot of coffee at the office. Cartwheel, cartwheel, and spring. I murdered Richard Harris. back. He already did. Don't pull the door. So yeah, so now the doctor at the
Starting point is 00:24:48 asylum was like, hey, we're going to take everybody out to a movie. We're going to go see the movie of Robinson Caruso with paper, Robinson Caruso hanging out in front of it. Yeah. So all of you people go into the movie, unchaperone because the nurse and the other guy are going to stay back here and f. Because it didn't look like an old lady either.
Starting point is 00:25:34 No, no. It was definitely a young person in costume. It was like all these people who are playing Colonel. You're like, don't even, no, you're not even trying. Come on, Reba, McIntyre. We know you're not an old, white dude. Reba, did not love your work and drummers. What? You know I didn't. This is where I have the notes. I have no recollection of this. Did I see the edited version? Ooh, there is how we eventually get to meeting the pimp, who takes us back to the tattooed lady and the mime daughter?
Starting point is 00:26:10 The super buff guy? The guy who's dressed in like the zoot suit pants? Yes, yes. Yeah, okay. Who's got the boom box that everybody in the street is dancing too? There's a lot of dancing. There's a lot th is a lot th is a lot th is a lot th. T th is a lot th is a lot th. T th is a lot th. In a movie that definitely did not need padding. No, it's long. It's long, but all those scenes really do look cool though. Like it really builds like a universe that you are weirded out by, you know? I mean, it's like, it's basically the bonkers Argento. Like, it looks gorgeous, but it makes even less sense than fucking Argento movies too. I don't know. Oh man.
Starting point is 00:26:45 I don't know. The one dude who meets the, like, I can't remember if he's like a John for the, the mime girl. When you're, who are you talking? What does he like? The guy who rips his ear off and tries to make her eat it? He just, she just runs into him on the street, th, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, like, like, the, like, like, like, like, like. Because I think it's supposed to be like, oh, I'm deaf too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:06 And then he's like, eat my ear. Why? That's what I mean about like, oh, there's definitely got to be symbolism here. I don't think so. Exactly. That's what's like somewhat nerve-wrecking about the whole thing. I mean, the central plot, I like. I like what happens to Phoenix from here. I like Phoenix's trajectory.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Oh, when it turns into just a straight up, like, Gialo movie. Yeah, when he just becomes someone's arms. I love that. I love when he's just playing the piano. I love when he's just phenomenal at doing that by the way. Yeah. Like when he is emoting his mother with his arms. Yeah, it looks great.
Starting point is 00:27:50 It's incredible. It's so good. You should go on the road doing that. The two of you were incredible to get there. Yeah. Oh, you can't. She's best. But like, yeah, that felt very like David Lynch to me of just like the like someone like performing
Starting point is 00:28:06 with someone behind them doing their arms like I find that I like that a lot. I love that it was at a burlesque show too. Right, who is attending this? And that like, here's the thing that bothered me about that is that poster. So what was that show really? Yeah, I know what I'm saying? Like in the world, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like I I I that I I that I that I that, like I that, like I that, like I that, like that, like that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I'm that, I'm that, I'm that, I'm that, I'm that, I'm that, I'm that, I'm like, I'm that, I'm that, I'm like, I'm that, like, like, like, them, that poster. So what was that show really? Yeah, I know what I'm saying? Like in the world, what were people looking at? Exactly. Because it was really happening.
Starting point is 00:28:32 It wasn't in his mind, because Alma found the poster for it with their address, their address on the back, yeah. So I wonder, like he was made up, like, he was it like their, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th... th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that, th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the on like eyeliner and lipstick. He did, yeah. And then, and mascara and all that? Like, was it just him on stage pretending to have someone? Oh, you know what it was? What? It was that fucking mannequin?
Starting point is 00:28:52 Oh, you're right, you're right. Good, I'm glad we sorted this out. People at home are yelling, it was a fucking manicunnel. Man, your fan impressions have really changed. What did they used to be like? They don't know. I feel like they were more nerd voice. Now they've gotten more like, come on. Oh, well, they're getting more exasperated with us as this goes on. We're getting near 200.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Yeah, you guys have to be tired of it. Oh, do they? I don't know. He starts killing people. He kills Ruby the tattooed lady. She has it coming I guess question mark. She has a coming. Yeah. Period. I'm sorry he's throwing knives in Ruby but sees the tattoo lady. Who the fuck is hair. You got it. Yeah. Yeah. She did not have a coming. The touch lady had it coming. Yeah. Yeah. Because she's trying to pimp out Alma. Yeah, who escapes. Yeah. And sleeps on top of a semi-truck? Yeah, like you do. About a block and a half from her room. Which she goes back to the next day. I know she didn't have any pants but like... Yeah. Also we find out that Phoenix's idol is the invisible man. I like that a lot.
Starting point is 00:30:16 It's silly as hell. He's a straight up monster. Yeah, he's a bad guy, derailing that train, right? Yeah, yeah. No reason. No, not at all. He was just a pissy dick. Pissy dick is a great insult. Is that offensive? Can we say pissy dick? Yeah, definitely.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Cool. Does he where he hallucinates the snake coming out of his pants? Because I think he's aroused? I don't know what's happening there. Because he had to have gotten bone dogs before that, you know? It's true. It's just so many things about this are, like, like the woman who works in the like, traveling, was it an apotheary or something that he invites over to dinner and she just shows up a a flowers up with with with with with with with with with with with with with with with with with flowers with invites over to for dinner and she just shows up with flowers like hello
Starting point is 00:31:05 Like what why is any of this happening? I don't what is the thing with the strongest woman? Yeah, I don't know and the Extremely upsetting fake boobs that she has yeah, so weird what who is that person and? Are they is that an actor? Were they in other things? I couldn't find anything about them? Huh? I did some some some brief so? so? the th? th? th? th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi is thi is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th. th th th. th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th th th. th th th th th th th th th th th. Why is th. Why is th. Why is th. Why is th. Why is thi is thi thi. Why is thi. Why is the to the to to thi. Why is thi. Why is any thi thi thi is any thi is any thi is any th an actor were they in other things I couldn't find anything about them huh I did some some brief research it didn't say anything but just like what is going on what is this why is it happening and they were called saint which has to mean something does it or was cool? Was it just cool? I don't know. I don't know. Oh man. I have the note what the fuck is going on. Maybe I got dumber.
Starting point is 00:31:54 What part do you think that was at? That was sometime around the strong man. Maybe I was smarter and understood this earlier and just don't anymore? Or maybe I was just drunker. That whole part doesn't really make sense. Mm-hmm. Because why is Concha having him do this? I literally have no clue. Like I can see the revenge against the tattoo lady.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Sure. And then I can see him melting down and thinking that Ruby is a tattoo lady, fine. Yeah, yeah. But like, he genuinely seems attracted to Saint the wrestler. Right. So why does all that happen? I, I, I, um, listeners, I have my hands up. Like, I'm just so confused by everything. Yeah. Uh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Yeah. So we find out that there's no mama. Say it. Say it. I thought you're going to do the dinosaur's thing. Oh, not the mama. Yeah. You said that so like resignedly. Not the mama.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Okay. I wish I had my mom's pull toy that had like said not the mama. Wow, your mom owned that. Did you ever put your arms behind her and pretend to me her arms and pull the toy? Yes. Yeah, me too. Do you see those clowns? What are they doing here though?
Starting point is 00:33:20 So the, uh, the, the, the mime comes back to save him, Alma. Yes, she's real. Nothing else is. I like that she makes herself up with the mime makeup to be like, oh, here's how he'll recognize me. This is so fucking weird. It is. And where did she get that tutu? What do you mean? The two-two-two she's wearing at the end. You don't have one of this? Not to fit me, or any, or don't. I can get you a two two by three o'clock. It's a weird thing to say. Yeah she makes herself up as the mime again. She is would be a great Halloween
Starting point is 00:33:59 costume I feel. Oh yeah yeah but then people would want to be sexy Alma and it would just get weird. Sexy Grandma is the only acceptable sexy costume. Also sexy hot dog. I was going to say I saw sexy ketchup and mustard. That's kind of funny. That's pretty funny. Not as funny as sexy hot dog though. Maybe that's what I should be for Halloween. Maybe it should. Yeah, all right, hang on. Working it out. I find it hard to believe that you don't already have your Halloween outfit planned out. I think Lucy and I might be hollinotes because her hair is kind of the right color to be hauled. And I'll just put on a mustache and we'll both wear leopard print or polka dots and walk around with my phone playing.
Starting point is 00:34:39 You make my dreams come true in my back pocket. I, I that'll be good. Yeah, yeah, a couple's costume with my toddler. What's a Rob gonna be? He wasn't invited. He would not want to be involved in this, trust me. Ooh, ooh. So good. Yeah, so just insanity in two's the fucking ghost clown show up. We find out Aladdin who's been back in his life helping him was not real. Playing that um, what is that thing called that a little like monkey grinder thing? Yeah. Organ grinder. Not a monkey grinder. That's probably something else. They make monkeys. Or monkey meat. Monkey mea.
Starting point is 00:35:22 And then Alma shows him that the marionette was his mom the whole time? I guess. Because his mom's a real bitch. You know what I mean? Like when she comes back, she's always yelling at him about everything. Yeah. But that just seemed out of character for her, which I didn't understand. She was just hell-bead on vengeance. Yeah. Beyond the grave. I want to say something that I didn't notice in the movie. But the movie. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the mar. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. the m. I want to say something that I didn't notice in the movie, but I guess Wikipedia says is true. Yeah. Is it Orgo? Is a hypnotist? And that's why everyone wants to fuck him.
Starting point is 00:35:54 He's hypnotizing them into fucking him. Oh. But I don't remember from this film. What about the sea where he's dressed up like Jesus and just getting pummeled with live chickens? I mean, what about it? That's going to be my Halloween costume. I will gladly follow you around and throw chickens at you all night. And the best part is like, he's, at first he's stoic, and then he starts getting hit in
Starting point is 00:36:29 the head with the chickens. He's like, oh god damn. Yeah. And I just feel like, Alahandro, that's your kid. Show him some respect. Hey, uh, Axel, in this scene I'm going to dress you up like Jesus and throw live chicken saying? Dad! Dad.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Dad, I want to be a serious actor. He's a musician now, I believe. Oh yeah, what's he do? You don't know. No. Is he not? Is it the other brother that's a musician? Axel Christo Jovsky. Christobal Jodorovsky is a Chilean French actor, writer, painter, playwright, trainer and
Starting point is 00:37:05 terologist. I'm sorry? I think it's the terro. Oh, okay. Come on, if your dad is this guy, you've got to get into the terror, right? Oh, it's Aden, that is the musician. That's the young man. The young man, who's five years of my junior. We is young in the movie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And age 70 bet James Brown. Anyway, well, me too. Yeah, so then, yeah, he finds out his mom's
Starting point is 00:37:31 never been alive or hasn't been alive since she got our arms cut off, I think. Yeah, how could she have lived? She couldn't have lived. And he's been doing all this girl shit. Oh, the amazing scene where all the women come back out of the grave. th. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, yeah, yeah, thi, thi, thi, thi, well, well, well, thi, thi, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, th, th, th, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, th, well, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, thi, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, girl shit. Oh, the amazing scene where all the women come back out of the grave. Love that. Although, they see, now they're covered in white dust too. Yeah. Is that because they're ghosts? Or because is it a call back to the elephant people?
Starting point is 00:37:52 I don't know. I think it's because they're gos. Okay, fine. A lot of butts. Oh, because in the scene prior, not the scene prior, but in a much earlier scene, after Phoenix kills Ruby, he puts her in a grave and then paints her. Oh, yeah, yeah. Why does he do that? You know? You know, I guess.
Starting point is 00:38:12 I like that. I like that the dream is to do in that? I don't know. Why are there I think so. I think that's what like that dream is meant to, because it's a dream, right? No, that's real. Wait, the whole thing is it? Well, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, it's real that you killed all those women. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:36 It's a dream that then wantonly killing. Yeah. And so then the cops show up. He goes out to meet the police. Well, Alma grabs his hand and they run. I don't know if she's trying to run away or take him to the police. What's Alma doing with her life? How are we gonna fix this? Oh, I mean, there's gonna be a lot of therapy for Alma? for all that, after all this shit. Well, hopefully. She also looked way younger than Phoenix.
Starting point is 00:39:05 She had aged many fewer years. He was at least like 15 years older, and she was maybe six years older. It didn't make any sense. And she's like, encourages him to put his hands up. And she holds her hands up. And so he puts his hands up and then just starts staring at his hands and going, my hands. I liked that. It brought him, he had peace.
Starting point is 00:39:28 It brought him, yes, it brought him closure. Yeah. And then the end, with cops just pointing guns at him. Yeah. Then a Bible quote. I don't know. I just wrote the end and a Bible. I mean...
Starting point is 00:39:45 Santa Sangre. Santa Sangre! Yeah, it's a movie. I like that you put so much more Italian flavor in it. It's really nice. Italian and Spanish are very similar languages. Yeah, yeah. Um, to Katie. Alan. Do you want to move on to the ratings phase?
Starting point is 00:40:08 I would like to, but also, wasn't there some argento touching in this? Argento touching? This is, wits isn't an argento have some fingers in this? Oh, I don't know. I think there was an argento in this. Not in it. It felt very argento at points. Let's look that up. Yeah. Wait, what was I looking up? Something different. Yeah, Claudio. Clodio produced this. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's his brother or dad or...
Starting point is 00:40:42 Claudio is Dario's brother. Okay, yeah. Claudio. Yeah. Yeah. Do you think it was like on set going a little bit more brother? Huh? What do you think? A little bit more a gento?
Starting point is 00:40:57 Let the old Argento flare into it, huh? Huh? Just wagging a checkbook around. Why are there so many Italians with money making weird horror movies? I know a lot of it, not a lot of it, some of it has been money laundering through the years. Yeah, you're saying we're all dirty. No, no, no, no, but like people have, like it's a good way to put money out there into the world and get it back later. You know what I mean? Especially with like straight to VHS movies and stuff.
Starting point is 00:41:26 True. Not Italian specifically. No, that's what you're saying is that we're all criminals. Yeah. I mean meatballs. Mmm, yeah. Mmm, spiys and me the ball. Yeah, let's rate this thing. You can go, you can go first. I'm sorry, Green of Mario. Oh man, I love it. Yeah, like I said, like my research kind of ruined me up for on some level for this,
Starting point is 00:41:48 because I didn't, I knew he was a weird dude, I didn't realize how shitty he was, I guess. But I do like the art-housy aspect of his weird-assed movies. So I'm going to give the movie a seven, and him, uh-huh. Great great are we averaging those or I mean do it separate separate Do what you like yeah Emily do what you like when you're writing this out Emily's like bitch I stopped doing this years ago You know this movie's bananas and doesn't make any sense, but the first time I saw it I really really really enjoyed it.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Yeah for all of its uncomfortable, like that man taking up his ear and trying to feed it to a deaf-mute child. Yeah, I like this movie. I know I shouldn't. It goes against everything I believe in, which is things making sense. I feel like that has faded throughout the podcast. I just am losing my mind. But sometimes I still get mad about nonsense. Sure. Here's what has changed for me. Yes. In the early days, I couldn't get down with
Starting point is 00:42:49 lunacy like this. I need to, I guess, re-watch Alacarta. Maybe I'll like it now. Where I have a problem with is things that should make sense but don't. Things that it would be easy to make sense of, but they just didn't bother to. That pisses me off. This one. This. This. T. T. T. T. T. T. T. T. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I thi. I thi. I th. I th. I th. I th. I's the. the. the. the. the. thee. theea. theea. thea. thea. the. thi. the. the. the. I pisses me off. This one is just like you got marbles with a bunch of words on him and you threw it out and that was your script. Yeah now say them say them in a heavily accented English. Yeah I'm gonna give this seven and a half. Okay. I like it. Looks cool. Holy blood! Holy blood! I love that. I'm giving that scene a 10.5. Oh, that's a real child's play two situation. He's better than child's play too. That scene, but nothing else. Nothing else could ever be better than child's play too. Holy blood. Like, I want to know how, I want the backstory of Santa Sangre. I want to hear the backstory of the church.
Starting point is 00:43:45 Oh, for sure. How the fuck? Did she get all those people in there? You know what I mean? I mean, well, who wouldn't want to join that church? Holyblood? At some point in my life, I want all the dumb band that you just made up, the, like, just go do it.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Go start it. I will fund it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. that's not happened yet. to get in touch with us to let us know about a phenomenon that you brought to

Starting point is 00:48:53 but literally all we'd have to give them is a t-shirt and we're already looked cooler than Justin drawing me. Seinsies. Commonwealth Press printed them up for us? Wonderful. And they coached me through those kuzzi's because I had a lot of questions. They were really wonderful and if you have the opportunity, go to their website at CW Press dot com to see all of their cool designs. And also if you have your own custom printing that you need, they're not giving us any money to say this. We just really like them. Yeah, Pittsburgh, Zam. Pittsburgh, they got a lot of cool Pittsburgh stuff. Whether you're from Pittsburgh not, maybe you just want to have a shirt that says there is no speed limit on Bigelow Boulevard.
Starting point is 00:49:30 They also said it was a little sticker that says Love Yins that I really liked. They're real nice. I can't commit to give you. Yeah. So. So those are your instructions. You want it, come get it. Yeah. By that I mean email us.
Starting point is 00:49:50 I wear all family and to email. Perfect. Commerce. Capitalism. Money exchanging for the good of humanity. I don't know. Oh, it fell apart. Yeah. Clear.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Nice. Bye. No, not bye. There's still more episode. Hello. Do you want to do a movie next week? Sure, what do you want to do? to do?
Starting point is 00:50:15 Let's do a not a bummer. A not a bummer. Yeah. Let's do what we do in the shadows. Is that what it's called? It is. It doesn't feel right when you say it, right? No. I always want to call it what we do in shadows.
Starting point is 00:50:30 But they throw a the in there. What we do in the shadows. That was Santa Songre if you didn't watch it and this somehow peaked your interest? You know, them non-literally, non-in-order telling me the fly and I fell apart on that one. Yeah. Really, lightly describing an outline of this film really made me want to see it. And then just talking about how confused they were. Yeah, it's a what we do in the shadows. It's Germain Clemens and Taiga Wattiti directed and written movie. Say it again. Tagawattiti?
Starting point is 00:51:11 Watiti. So he's such a great director. Yeah. So yeah we're gonna talk about next week we're gonna have fun. It's gonna be funny. Come back and have fun. I hope it's funny. I mean I guess I shouldn't say that we're definitely. Don't promise them anything. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I'm. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. Don't promise them anything. Yeah, send us a movie, oh, that's a Alan and Katie suggested movie that we're doing next week. Oh yeah, we're just doing one for us. Yeah. Thanks for listening. Is that it? We done? Thanks for listening to an other episode of Whirliff? Yeah. Yeah, thanks to the media, go to it. arms. Thanks for listening to another episode of Whirlop Ambulance. I'm picking your nose.
