Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, so Craig D. Nelson's hair at the beginning of this movie. My attraction to him was just gone. Just gone. Just gone. Just gone. What's the opposite of Viagra? Because whatever that is is what that fucking mullet. Getting your dick with a hammer, I think. Oh, hammer dick. But it goes away after like, the first, why did he...
Starting point is 00:00:33 There's no mention of him getting a haircut either, and no, like, time for him to have done that haircut. No, and it's a significant haircut, it's a new style. There's a lot of mullet going. He he. He he he he he he still, it doesn't, he doesn't, he cannot recapture. I think that is the Stephen Spielberg Toby Hooper magic that made Craig T. Nelson. So fucking hot. The hot tap that we all wanted. Just wanted a bone down on coach. Coach. I feel like if you did that though, there would just be those other guys like running into the office that you're having sex with Coach and it would just be a comfortable. I've seen it. What is he coaching?
Starting point is 00:01:11 I've seen it. What is he's married to a lady named Coach's wife who drinks big glasses of wine? There's like a dumb blonde guy in it and like an old guy. Yeah, that's sports. That's sportsy. And then he's married to a lady named Coach's wife who drinks big glasses of wine. And they have to help this Texas football team. Oh boy. No, that's not. I think that's something else. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:34 He's also a hot dad though. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Can we he a hot dad? Is he a dad in anything? Yeah, he's got two, well I mean he's got two children in IRL. Yeah, but no one's like hiring him as a dad. It's true. That would be a very weird role for him, although it's apparently a real life role. Oh wait, I guess he is a dead technically in the fly right, wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't wasn't th. Oh th. Oh, th. Oh, 't Gina Tate was pregnant? Oh my God, yeah. Let's just, I'm just gonna back out of this.
Starting point is 00:02:10 I'm Alan. I'm Katie. Wherewulf amulance is the podcast you're listening to. Not a hotdad podcast. It's a horror movie, thereveh. And we are here to 2. Fuck, yes it is. Which is surprising because it's the same actors.
Starting point is 00:02:30 Normally when you see such a big drop-off from 1 to 2, it's like, we just brought in a bunch of no-name-dum, and we're just using the name. It's like very, when very competent actors can't make it believable, you're done fucked up. It's, I mean, it's a a it's a it's a it's a it's a it's a it's a thi it's a thi it's a thi it's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's t t tooeeea. It's tooeea. It's tooeea. It's tooeea. It's thi. It's thi. It's done fucked up. It's, I mean, it's a tribute to Toby Hooper and Stephen Spielberg. Yeah. That they made that movie so god damn good. Well, I also think that they could have written a mediocre script and had a good movie
Starting point is 00:02:55 because they had good actors. You know what I mean? Sure. That this is bad is real bad. This movie is sub is th other side. Is it? Oh my god. The first note I have just says Native American stuff, huh? Fucking Noble Savage man. Such a bummer. Like just, oh the 80s. I never saw this movie before this experience and I wish I had never seen it. That's all. The poster for it's pretty great. It's just Carol Ann talking on her phone on the spotlight. Yeah, sure it's good. Carol Ann is still great.
Starting point is 00:03:30 She is, but a little less great than when she wasn't the first one. Oh, she's aging out of greatness for you. No, no, just like, all the characters are a little off in this. Everyone's hair was better in the first movie, for sure. It's true. But like, Joe Beth seems like way too hippie-tippy now? Yes. Even before, like, the, like, catastrophe happens in her life of her mother passing away. Right. She seems like off.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Yeah. Which, understandably. It's someone else wrote her. Yeah. Craig Teen Nelson seems way more aggressive. Yeah. Yeah, he's not fun dad. I mean, he's still a little bit fun dad, but he's not, you don't like trust him. Right. And then he becomes grosso, super gross dad. Yeah, well, he's like possessed by a bad guy or something. I don't remember. And Robbie is just, he's like a 12 year old boy now? Yeah, gross. I'm sorry to your children out there with braces, but yeah gross. It was crazy to me too, that was like, is orthodont or the thing you're worrying about right now? It's been like a year since you were kicked out?
Starting point is 00:04:29 Or you're kicked out of your house. The poltergeist posted that eviction notice on your door and you had to leave. Movie idea. Poltergeist, Ghosts, I already lost it. Ghost Lord just sounds like a shitty stoner metal band. Yeah. So this movie, we pick up back with the Freelings. Ghost Estates, ghost states. I'll come back to it. We'll come back to him. Ghost State Agent.
Starting point is 00:05:04 So we, we come back to it, we'll come back to him. Ghost State Agent? So we come back to the Freelings, they're staying with Diane's mom. Grandma Jess. Who has the shining? Yeah, okay, so here's where this movie fucking goes wrong from the jump, right? Yeah, right away. The previous movie was really great because they love this like likeable, but also average
Starting point is 00:05:25 family that you could know or you could be a member of. But now they're all fucking clairvoyant, they're all special and like, I don't know, it's not... It's the first movie is so upsetting because like, God, this shit fucking luck happens to these nice people. Like they, they worked their way to this, you know, to, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, their, their, and I, and their, and their, and their, and their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, their, their, their, their, their, to this, you know, to, I don't know, living in this house in this neighborhood that they're so proud of.
Starting point is 00:05:49 And this fucking asshole left the bodies in the ground, right? On top of a cemetery. But in this one, it's just like, I don't know, more magic magnets. Yes, and everybody seems to be that. Like, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I thi, I thus, I that. Yeah. Like, so, I hate the premise to this movie. I don't understand the premise to this movie. Can you? So on top, so their house buried or was built on top of a cemetery, underneath that cemetery was a series of caves,
Starting point is 00:06:20 okay, where a cult, Yeah, in the 1800s, close themselves underground because doomsday was a coming. Yeah, and then they weren't allowed to leave. And they weren't allowed to leave. And Sutter Kane, what was the guy's name, Henry Kane? The preacher man. Yeah. Kept him under there and made them sweat to death. Apparently, that's what it looked like. Everyone was super sweaty. I thought that was real and I thought, damn, that's worse than I thought. Yeah. So, and so in our timeline with the Freelings now, Cain wants Caralan.
Starting point is 00:06:57 He got a little taste, a little, M-N-Marland. And now all of the people that were in the cemetery, or no, I'm sorry, in the underground cavern. The below cemetery cemetery, the sub-cemetery, cemetery. But like, how did he get that taste? It wasn't, it wasn't him who kidnapped her the first time. So in the like, reverse storytelling, he's the beast. Mm-mm. All right, fine. He's the beast. And I will say, as a kid, so this movie, I would have seen this, probably in theaters
Starting point is 00:07:31 because I was 12. So this would be 86. He was scary a shit. Oh, he is very scary. Mostly because he's dying. And he looks just sick and sad. Yeah, I mean, I had a bunch of like great relatives, like great aunts and uncles around this time that I would go to visit and be like, oh man. And so it was like kind of feeding into that, you know, like, when you're real young, like,
Starting point is 00:07:52 real old people are weird. Yeah, there's a lot of anxiety around the elderly. Yeah, and they kiss your nanny. Oh man, and their apartments always smelled so weird. Uh, but so there was like that and there was like, I was always bugged out by super religious people. Sure, I still am. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:18 And so when he's like singing the like Jesus songs? I think that actor is great and I think the, I think he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he I he he he he he he he he he songs. I think that that actor is great and I think the I think he as a villain is pretty good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The storytelling just doesn't doesn't do him any justice. And right off the jump they fucked up with him. We should not have seen him. Oh no, you didn't like that. You can't treat people like that at the mall. No one else could see him. Yeah. And that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was like. that was like. that was like. that was like. that was like. that was like. that was like. that was like that was like that was like that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. the. the. the. the. the at the mall? You can't treat people like that at the mall. No one else could see him. Yeah. And that was like, oh, why? Yeah. Well, he's magic. You need to know right this second. Exactly. Wouldn't it be great if that was a reveal? No. If he was just like a creepy... Yeah. I feel like this movie should have been made in like 97 where they were just like, but doink, but doink, you over over over over over over over over over over th. th. th. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that. that that that that that that that that that that that that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. I. I. I. You. I. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. I. I. You. I. I. I. It. I. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's like. It's like. I. I. It's like. It's like. I th. I th. I that. I that. It's like. I that. It's like. It's like. I that. It's like. I th. everything. Yeah. Tangina, Tangina sends Taylor. It's not a great Native American name. I mean if you're going to have a Stereo-Tan, I mean he's a Native American man and he's doing Native-American things. If you're going to have a Native American character, give him a good name. Yeah, yeah, that's all. Because whatever everyone's feeling, Taylor, their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their that's that's that's that's that's that's that's tian. It's tanguant is tangu. It's tangin. It's tangin. It's tangengea, tangengea, tangian. It's tangian. It's tang. It's tang. It's tang. It's tang. It's tang. It's tang. It's tang. It's tang. It's tang. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's tange. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. He's, because whatever everyone's feeling, Taylor, Taylor, it sounds so stupid to my ears. Maybe that's just like the Taylor
Starting point is 00:09:29 Swift universe I live in now, or Taylor is like a, the name of many children born in 2006. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. We do live in Taylor Swift's world, don't we? I mean, we're lucky to be part of it, is generally how I feel. And that actor, Will Samson, is best known for One Flow Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Right, sure. Good actor. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, not in this movie.
Starting point is 00:09:54 He has nothing to do. God, he's giving just, just, hmm, I'm just, I have this bucket. I have this bucket of racism. enjoy this and just make a roll out of this, please. Could you just dull this out throughout the film? Thank you, thank you. Thank you, thank you. Sorry, there's a bunch of blackface in here, should I be wearing? No, no, no, not the other, sorry, wrong bucket, wrong bucket. Different film. I have the note here, Missy is on fire. I didn't write down any of her one- I loved Zelda Rubinstein, the archaeologist. Yeah, I liked her little like safari suit.
Starting point is 00:10:25 She looked adorable. I rolled up denims. Yeah, she's great. She's great. Why were they down there? Why was she, how does she know Taylor? She was investigating. Why?
Starting point is 00:10:36 Because she declared the house to be clean? I don't. I'm just like, nothing's explained. And when they go back to Quest of Air Day, at the end, and they even cut to it at the beginning, or you can see all the houses are for sale and it looks like a dump, why didn't the other houses collapse into the earth too? They were also on top of the burial ground.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Okay, yeah, I mean, there isn't like at are shooting water all over the place and stuff but like yeah I don't I mean that I guess this was just the episetter I guess of the television people television people yeah that's what a Carolyn calls them in the first movie she calls them TV people yeah I don't know them personally so I call them by their full name right I mean the Christian name the television people. Sorry. The television people. Television people. Dada. Can you make this other sound you make whenever we do this song? Ah!
Starting point is 00:11:36 Uh-huh. You feel like it just wasn't finished at time. Yeah, it was like when someone starts a sentence and doesn't finish it and you're just itching, you know. Diane's mom dies in the night. And I think we're supposed to feel sad but I feel nothing. Nothing. Carlyne gets a phone call from her grandma. I liked this actually, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:56 On that little like pink rotary plastic phone that you had as a child. I love, I mean, because you see kids play with that, they have full-blown fucking conversations with people with those phones. When Diane is outside this fucking scene, she's outside cutting the roses that she has a memory of her and her mom planning the rose. Yeah. And baby Diane has the same hair that adult time in the house. It's a perm. It's the same size hair. It's like they photoshoped it. It's ridiculous. It's so so so so so so so so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu. It's so fu the the the same the same the same the same the same the same the same the same the same the same thi the same the same thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. their their their their their their their their their thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. thian. their thiiiiii. their their their their their their thi. their thi. thi thi. ty. ty. ty. ty. ty. ty. ty. ty. ty. ty. tyian. tyan. ty. size hair. It's like... It's like they photoshopped it. It's ridiculous. It's so fucking funny. Baby Diane's hair is pretty great though. If you had a kid with hair like that, you'd be like, yeah. Let's go to the mall.
Starting point is 00:12:35 A kid looks like a 33-year-old woman. Yeah. Hey, just put on a skirt and some sneakers and let's go out and have our day jobs. Oh my God. But her hair was way better in the first movie too, though. It's very, it's lank in this. It's lank. I don't like it as much. It was so big and lustrous in the first movie.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Yeah, oh man. I liked the gray she should have left it. Do you like that Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craig Craigthat Craig T. Nelson invented the Rumba in this movie? So vacuuming vacuum cleaner, which seemed like absurd at the time. And now people just have them. I was thinking, yeah. Do they do anything? Do they actually work? I don't know. I think so. I don't know. I think so.
Starting point is 00:13:14 I feel like I just have too much furniture. I'd just be bopping off everything. out where stuff is and then stops going there. I don't know. It's a robot. I feel like you just describe my social life. I figured out where stuff is just stopped going there. I like the idea that you were like walking down the street though and realized there was a bar at the end of the street and you just turn and went the other way. No! No! So there's a storm coming, A joy, of course there is. Because it's always fucking raining there. It rains throughout this entire movie. Oh man. I do like that e-buzz is in this movie. I was excited to see e-buzz again.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I'm gonna google that while we talk and see if it means anything. Okay. Okay. So it starts raining real hard. The rains the house, or rings the bell on the phone. I don't know what it means. I the the the the the the all these things, but it's like, e-buzz news, like, now, E means something in front of words that didn't do then. Yeah. So when she gets the second phone call, that's not grandma? Yeah. Did you notice the film. Yeah, like the, yeah, the robot comes to life and starts yelling at her. The whole house like erupts into like an earthquake
Starting point is 00:14:31 and everything's going bonkers. Oh yeah, they don't mention Dana. She's just not, she's just gone. Just not mentioned. I just feel like they should have put a line in there. It's so uncomfortable that they don't mention her. And I don't even think there was an in memory of at the end of the movie. I didn't see one if there was. It just would have been so easy to be like, well, good thing Dana's college and
Starting point is 00:14:50 she has enough to be here to deal with this. Done, look, I just wrote it. It's not even my job. Also, how would they be paying for Dana's their a to be paying, I to be to be to be to be to be their their their their their their their their their. . Dana got some financial aid. Orthodontors is not cheap. No, I had someone who had braces. Yeah. They go running out of the house, boom, Taylor's out there. And they're like, what the fuck dog?
Starting point is 00:15:11 And he's like, I'm here to help Tangina say me what's going on. Yeah. I'm like, I'm like, I'm like the Native American guy. You see, don't you see my two bra my my my two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two braids. Here have a feather. Yeah, oh my God. Your car's angry. Fuck, I hated that so much. I know, I hate it. I hate everything about it. It's like, they're like, we need some kind of comedy in this movie. How about the car? Can we do something with the car? Is there something there? Is there something there? Can we do car and racism? Can we get both those things in there? Oh, yeah. Oh, those are two things that go hands and hands.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Hands and hands. I mean, Spielberg couldn't show up for like a day, be like, all right, guys, hold on. Let me just lick this pencil and start writing stuff down. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Man. So they go to mom. Why? I don't want to, I don't want to talk about this movie anymore. What do you want to talk about?
Starting point is 00:16:11 I don't know. Let's just, can you explain to me what happens in this movie? The car's angry. Taylor delivers a line I don't cahoot with no one. I like that. Yeah, it was good here in cahoots. I don't cahoots with no one. Taylor hangs out with butterflies. That was weird.
Starting point is 00:16:35 That was fucking weird. Was that one when Joe Beth Williams was wearing the t-shirt that's just a summer and had like an umbrella and a sun on it? Lady, you're like 33. You that that that that that that that shirt that that shirt that that that's that's that's that's that's that's the that's they that's that's their that's their that's that's that's that's that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's that's a that's a that's a that's a that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that. that. that. that. that. -shirt that's just a summer and had like an umbrella and a sun on it. Lady, you're like 33. You don't wear that shirt. That's for children. That's just for children. I hope that was her clothing line that she was pushing into smoothing. I hope so. I hope so. Joe Beth Williams, summer. So Reverend Kane comes to the house and he's like, oh you got a real nice kid it's raining on me, can I talk you to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th you th you th you th you th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the th that the the th th th th th th th th th that that's that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's that's that's that's th th th th th th th th th th th. th. th. th. the th. that that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that that the. the. the. the. the. that the. that that that that that th and he's like, oh, you got a real nice kid, it's raining on me, can I talk to you about Jesus, that guy's bad.
Starting point is 00:17:08 And then he, his, the scene is very long. I feel like they could have shortened it up and had it be like, scary, but he's just there chit-chatting away, like, and he kind of, I guess he gets in Steve's head and he almost gets led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led led to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the scene is the scene is the scene is the scene he's the scene he's the scene he's the scene he's the scene he's the scene he's the scene he's the scene. he's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. He's th. He's the the thean. He's thean. He's thean. He's th. He's the scene is the scene is the scene is the scene is the scene is the scene is the the the the house, and then what would he have done if he did? Who knows? Because he's like an ancient, not ancient, he's like a hundreds of years old, dead, reverend, right? Yeah. But he's also just like in the physical realm, picking up a child at the mall.
Starting point is 00:17:39 And later he's a poop monster. And later he's a poop monster. Is that when he burfs that dick? Is that what he is? Out of his mouth? Yeah. Barbing a dick? So the monster design in this movie was done by yours and mine's favorites, HR Geager. Ah. But he didn't want to come to America because he didn't like traveling that much. Sure, it's a long trip. So he sent over one of his associates from Switzerland.
Starting point is 00:18:10 The movie comes out, and his response is, ah, shit, I should have gone to America. Oh, God. Because they fucked up the character design. Yeah. I mean, I couldn't even tell you anything about it other than it looked like a dick and I watched this last night, you know? I love it. When he was coughing it up I mean. Oh yeah, there's like big maggoty dick thing.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Yeah. Was there something else? Well, there's the when they go into like the outer space sky realm and there's the big spinning monster. Straight zoned out of this. I still think there's some scary stuff to, so Craig T. Nelson starts getting drunk and becomes an asshole. Everyone is drinking heavily in this movie though. Like Diane is too, she's just drinking like Jack Daniels in the middle of the day. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Yeah. Just a little mommy beverage. I move. But he's just drinking like straight out of the bottle tequila and he's not, he doesn't even have the self respect to be be be be be be be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be their self-respect to be a cowboy. Like at least be a cowboy if you're going to do that. But he does say taquilia, which fine. I said that a lot in college, you know. Does he also call Las Vegas lost wages? Oh no, I've never heard that before.
Starting point is 00:19:14 That's gross. So he gets drunk on the tequila and then finishes the bottle the worm opens it up, it's eye. Yeah. Yeah, worms don't generally have eyes like that, but this one does. Yeah, it's just a big old human eye staring at you. And he swallows it and it becomes a dick. Yeah, he becomes a dick and starts like assaulting Diane and saying mean things to Carolan. Yeah, it's gross. And then he pukes up the dick, the dick hides hides hides hides hides hides hides hides hides hides hides hides hides hides toe under hides the toe under hides toe toe toe the the toe toe the toe toe the the thi thi the thi ths to Carol Ann. Yeah, it's gross. And then he pukes up the dick. The dick hides under the bed and start shaking the bed.
Starting point is 00:19:49 And then I like it when it comes out and it's like the malformed dude that's just walking on nobs. Oh yeah, with Cain's face. Yeah. Which I thought was a nice teth, you know. I, when, when Craig T was possessed by Kane and he started singing the song, he was also sticking out his, like pulled his jaw back so his teeth stuck out. Yeah. I'm like, that's some good ass acting, Craig T. I know. So you're still not hot in this movie and I don't know why. I don't know if the hair at the beginning just ruined it or what, but he's also like kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind the hair, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the their, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, like, like, like, like kind of more fit in this movie and I just feel like, oh, you're trying too hard.
Starting point is 00:20:28 He had to get up to Coach Wait. Yeah, I guess so. And then it just like goes crazy, the boy gets stuck to the ceiling with his braces? That was a weirdly upsetting scene. Where'd all that wire come from? I don't know. And then where did it go? Where did it come from? Where did it go? Where did it come from? Let that fill it in. Let the fill it in on their own.
Starting point is 00:20:49 What did Cotton Eye Joe ever do to the narrator to prevent him from getting married? You know what I mean? If it didn't be for Cotton and I Joe, I'd be married a long time ago. Why? What was Cotton and I thjjjjjjjjjjj them ladies? Who is Cotton Night Joe? I am just, I'm spiraling right now. It was always originally cock-blocking Joe, and they had to change to Cotton-Eye. I am officially an idiot. So the keep- I'm not stopping you. I'm just kidding. You're great.
Starting point is 00:21:23 You're not as dumb as Cotton-Eye-Jow. Diane keeps getting flashes of the cave system. That they- Because now she's fucking clairvoyant. Of course, she was right before the braces attack. Oh, please. It would have been really useful for her to recognize her clairvoyance in the previous film. She could have probably found her kid. Like, did her mom? It doesn't make any sense that she would be... Did she not call her mom? Why wouldn't she see the shit when she was literally on top of it? I don't know. She was literally living on top of it.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Send your shine back. It is not working. Yeah, it sucks. Oh, right before Robbie's teeth attack him. I want to look to see his to see to see to see to see to see to see to see to see to see to see the to see the the the to see the the the the the the the to look to see his teeth attack him. He, uh, there's like a flash of like a skull man in the mirror. So dumb. It's like the subtlety of the first movie. It's gone.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Yeah, it's gone. I mean, this movie definitely suffers watching it back to back with the first movie. Oh, sure. If I had watched this a couple of later, it may have been a different experience, but a lot of it is just, like there are a bunch of scenes of screeching eagles. Why? Why? Why does Taylor take Craig T to do a sweat lodge when he's just kind of making fun of it the whole time and then like blows weed smoke into the guy's face and later? But then later? That smoke saves them. Why though? Why tho? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why, why? Why, why? Why, why? Why, why? Why, why? Why, why? Why, why? Why, why? Why, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their? their? their? their? their? the the the their? their? their? their? their? their? the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? their? their? S? S- W? Sc-I? Sco? Scane th. Sc, the sc-s? Sc-s? Sc-s? Sc-s? Sc-s? Sc-s? Sc-a? Sc-a? Sc into the guy's face and later. And then later? That smoke saves them. Why though? Why?
Starting point is 00:22:49 Oh my fuck. And like, the premise of this movie is that love is all you need. It's real schmoopy. Like, oh yeah, yeah. Your love will save you. The love you have for your family will stop bad guys from getting you basically. Yeah, when Craig T's attacking and assaulting Diane, she just stopped, she goes, I love
Starting point is 00:23:12 you. But I love you. I know. Why would that be the thing? I would be like, where's that brick that I could hit in the fucking head with. I think it's because the Native American guy had set them up that, like, like, like, each other and everything will be okay which is like weird and it's it's just so schmoopy I hate that yeah and even though that was kind of the theme of the first movie their love got them through it didn't have to say it exactly
Starting point is 00:23:36 they to quote my friends in extreme more than words words extreme. More than words. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, God. And then there are like all these bad running jokes through it, like the insurance company joke. They keep joking about the insurance company, like, the house just disappeared. And I hope they get this insurance money sitting at those kids' therapy. For sure. How about the dumb joke? the dumb joke. the thumb joke. the thum, th, like. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, their, their their their their their their thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, their their their their their their their th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, their. their. their. their. their. their. their, their, their their their their their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. the the th. th. the the th. th. the the th. the th. th. the. Like, I hope they get this insurance money sitting at those kids' therapy. For sure. How about the dumb joke of ghost knocking at the front door?
Starting point is 00:24:12 Ghost knocking at the front door. It's Zelda Ribonstein, you just can't see her through the peephole. It's brutal. It's not funny. It's like, oh, they're the magical munchkin at one point, which I was like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thethink he would say that. I think he's very grateful to her. This woman literally saved his child. Yeah. Oh my God. So Tanjina's got some picks of cane, even though Missy was like, wait, when did they go underground?
Starting point is 00:24:34 Yeah, no, they don't have those photographs. When did they go underground? It's like the early 1800s. Well, well, well, well, well, well, well, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, I thi, I thi, thi, thi, thi, they, they, they, they, they, thi, they, they, they, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thiiiiiiiiiiiii. Wooooooooooooooooooooo, thi, thi underground? It's like the early 1800s. Well, no. Maybe like a Degara type or something. But like still, it was pretty sketchy. Yeah. And she's like, Diane, you gotta look at it. I don't want to.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Diane, you gotta look at, okay, holds the picture, it's the entire story of what's happened to these people. So fucking stupid. Maybe, what have you been doing this? Is it because you don't have any TVs in the house? Oh, maybe. That opens your shine hole? I don't know, that's why I'm going to film my home with televisions, I guess. But also, Zelda Rubenstein is supposed to be like extremely clairvoyant. And she's like, pictures, you already knew. She already knew.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then Taylor leaves. Why does he leave? Why doesn't you just stick around? He's got to go do so. I guess he had to go be magical for somebody else for a while.
Starting point is 00:25:37 I mean, you think he would plan his jobs better so he's not leaving the climax of it, you know? Wait, did he die before this was finished? No, because he's in the last game. Oh, that's right. That's right. I'm the... Oh, God. Oh, so they eventually go back to Questa Verda, or Berdy,
Starting point is 00:25:57 and they have to crawl down on the hole, and then while they're standing there, really shitty looking, Diane and Caroline gets sucked into space. So when I was a child, there was a game show on Nickelodeon called Nick Arcade. And people my age will probably remember it. It was a game where, a game show where contestants would basically like play arcade games for points and then if you want, if your team, it was you and a partner, if your team won, you would go into the video game for the final challenge.
Starting point is 00:26:31 And this is like 1990 I'm going to say. So it was just real shitty green screen and the kids would be looking at it and trying to jump to get things and they could never like line it. theyn't like, likethat they looked at that and they were like, no we're going with it. Print, print that. Craig T. and Robbie then just jump into the sky times. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Who was like, let's make them look like they're flying? Like, whose fucking idea was that? What's wrong with this putting them a room that's covered in mist? You're like, this is limbo, just deal with it. Just deal with it. But they're flying and then no shit. It looks like what comes out of a colonic is chasing them through the nether zone. And why?
Starting point is 00:27:19 It's got Carolan's faces in one of the poop lumps. Yeah, and she's going, Eddie, that they're something like that. And it's just, it's not. Kane's face is in another of them. Oh, yeah. It's so stupid. It's so stupid. Oh my god, I just like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:42 And they, they get back out because of love. Missy kept calling the cave that they were in sad Goonies. Oh, it really is. Yeah, love wins. The shit monster shows up. They kill it. I called it Dudu Medusa at one point. It really is.
Starting point is 00:28:00 How do they kill it? Oh, Katie, I'm surprised you don't remember. Angel Grandma shows up with Carylane. Oh. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. th. I. I. th. I. th. th, I. th, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I just. th, I, I just. th, I th, I th, I they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, I thi, I just just just just th. th. thi, I thi, I th. thi, I thi. thi. thi. thi, I they they they it? With, oh, Katie, I'm surprised you don't remember. Angel Grandma shows up with Carillon. Oh my god, that's right, because I had forgotten about her when she showed up again. What I love is Carlyan get snatched away from them. Yeah. And Craig T. Nelson is just like holding his wife and it's like, well, I guess that's just done. I mean, what else can they do? We've done this twice. We've done th done th done th done th done this this this this this this tho. We've this tho. We've this tho. We've tho. We've tho. We've tho. We've tho. We've tho. We've tho. We've tho. th. tho. We've that. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're the. they're they're thea. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're thea. they're thea. thoooooo. the. can't do this again. Carol Ann. But Grandma Jesus, as I called her, brings Caroline back. And this is after the scene where, like, possessed Steve is screaming at Diane that she never wanted to have Carolan.
Starting point is 00:28:39 It's like, why are you even telling me this? This isn't part of the story. I don't want this story. Yeah, it just does not work at all in the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like This isn't part of the story. I don't want this story. Yeah, it just does not work at all in the like, the storyline of the previous movie. No, it's like they just got those characters and they were like, okay, well, let's just... Yeah. Oh, God. And then they get back out, everybody's fine. And Taylor's like, yeah, I want the car. It's still angry. I need to take it and make it not angry. Meanwhile, we forgot to mention when they were escaping the house, they got final destinationed because the electrical cord started attacking their car.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Oh yeah, there was that flying chainsaw? What did you think of the flying chainsaw? I thought it was really stupid. I liked it, damn, that's scary. I'd love that the ghosts are attacking the car with a chainsaw and electricity, which eBuzz grabs, the e-must stand for electricity, grabs the... And buzz for the zzzzzzzes of the live wire. Pulls the cord, like the electricity away from the car, gets in the car. And as they're driving away, there's paint all over the car. So while some some some some some some some some some some some some some some some some the ghost the ghost the ghost the ghost they they're they're they're they're they're they're the gosts. And as they're the gos the gos their their their their their their their their their their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their. their, their, their. their, their. their, their. their, the. the. the, the. the. thease. thease. thease. thease.ease. thease.ease. thease. thease. their, their, their, their, the all over the car. So while some ghosts are trying to kill them, others are just being dicks.
Starting point is 00:29:47 It's also all dented. I mean, I know that driveway looked really hard to back down. I wouldn't have been able to do that in the best of times, let alone, like, like running from a flying unmanned chainsaw. Yeah. But I feel like some the ghosts thinks were the ghosts were the ghosts were the ghosts were the ghosts were the ghosts were the ghosts were the ghosts were the ghosts were thus were thus were thus were thus were just thus were just thus were just thus were just thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thoes thoes thi their thi thea thoes thoes thoes that that that that that that that that that that tho that th th th th th their that that that that that that that th. th. th. th. th. It th. It th. It th. It th. It th. It th. It th. I th. I th th thi thi. I thi. I thi. I thi thi the the thee thea thea thea thea thea thea thean thean thea thea thea the the thi thi the too. I'm just kicking it. So rude. There's just a bunch of like 13 year old ghosts there. Because I put my balls in the windshield. Oh god, just like ghost tea bags all over it. Yeah, so Taylor takes the car. Everybody's laughing, good fun times. And then they're like, oh, we need a ride. Like, what did you fucking think was going to happen when you gave your car away somewhere? that's not your the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ta. ta. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ta. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. t. times and then they're like oh we need a ride like what did you fucking think was gonna happen when you gave your car away somewhere that's not your house and then the Betty Hill theme starts and they start
Starting point is 00:30:28 running down the street after the car yeah oh man also why didn't Taylor think I'm abandoning them here he seems like a sensitive man to just be like I'm stranding them too. Yeah, she's just gone. I forgot about that. She's standing with them in the front yard. Yeah. Or like where the front yard would have been. And then when they cut away, when she's just gone. How did that, like, do you think? Like, do you. They left her down there? No, do you think they just like, we're like, we have no idea how to end this movie. Who can we get back to film one more scene, you know? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:31:08 And Zelda was doing something else, probably teen which. Also, if you find a bunch of bodies, you've got to call the cops, right? No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. You just leave and invite, you th. You th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. And tho. And th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. And th. And th. And th look at them. Where did they find bodies? In the hole, the caves, there was a bunch of bodies down there. Remember the one had a frog in its mouth for some reason? No, I don't remember that. Yeah. Mm-hmm. It's been less than 24 hours since I actually said.
Starting point is 00:31:33 My last note is, this movie really looks like shit compared to the to the Og, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, to to to to to to to the, the, the, the, the the, the the the the, the the the the the the, the, the, the, the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the the the the the the tho, the throwne, the thro, the the thro, the thro, thro?, throoo?, too, too, thro, the thro, thi, the, the think of other movies that have had such a serious decline between one and two and I was having a hard time thinking of like Such a sharp These movies these these series usually fall off on like the third one. Yeah, and which is the third one of this is fucking but it is bad really Really? Tom Scarett is a carolent's uncle. No, and it's like takes place on a high rise and there's mirrors and stuff. It's real bad. Oh???? Really? Really? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh. Oh. Oh? Oh. Oh. Oh? Oh. Oh? to. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. the. the. the. the I think. And it's like takes place on a high rise and there's mirrors and stuff. It's real bad. It's really dumb. I love me some Tom Scarett. I know you do. There's no reason for him to be in this franchise. No.
Starting point is 00:32:14 Is Heather Arork the only other? Oh, geez. They're like, well, you've been else is falling off like this hard. I can't think of anything. No. I'm sure it, I mean sure it's happened from like really great movies that didn't bring back anybody from the second movie. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Citizen Kane too. Yeah, that one like, why would they animate it? They put in an amusement park? It just doesn't make any sense. They made a te- It thing thing thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin tine tine tine thin thin thi thin thin thi thin thin thin would it be animated? Like they put in an amusement park. It just doesn't make sense. It made a teen romp. It just, uh... It's like a beach bunny blanket bingo kind of thing. Um, yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:53 It's just, it's fucking trash. Yes. It's not even fun trash too, which is the problem. No, and it's got a couple a couple a couple a, like you said, like, Kane is a great villain. Sure. He's a super spooky looking dude and just like owns that role really well. Yeah. Okay, so it's got that going for it. And it's got the, you know, the same, the actors and these people, these characters that we do genuinely like enjoy.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Yeah, but it's like the that's a silver platter. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, they should be able to knock it out of the park. Yeah They did not. Katie, let's go to the rating space. I guess. Yeah. I hadn't really thought about it and I don't know why. It's like I'm surprised by this news that we have to rate it. Um, it's really not fun. No. And it's really not enjoyable. I wanted it to be over. I just wanted to end. I'm going to give it a four. Yeah, I'm going to, I think I might even do one worse.
Starting point is 00:34:03 I'm going to give it a three. Yeah. It's really not a well done movie. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. I. I. I. I. I, I, I the. I the. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I. I. I th, I think I might even do one worse. I'm gonna give it a three. It's really not a well-done movie. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. It's depressingly bad. Yeah, other than Kane, there's not anything that I'm walking away and being like, I want more of that. Mm-mm. I guess the scary, deformed guy was okay. the taurific. thine, th. than, than, thi, thi, the anime and like hey guys what's going on? What are we doing here? What if he popped
Starting point is 00:34:26 out of the tongue of the car I'm like, I'm making it angry. I see that's what I would have done. I'm a great co-maker. I would have had that guy talk is what I'm saying.
