Starting point is 00:00:00 I just thought this movie was like a really subtle depiction of Africa. Yeah? I just thought it was really like classy and tasteful. Did you think so? I thought it was a movie about people that it had apes explained to them, but had never seen one. Well, Michael Creighton. Hi, we're where will fambulance. Hi, where will fambulance? I said, hi, we're wearable ambulance. I'm Katie and I'm here with my friend Alan. Hi, Alan. Hello, Katie. And we're here with a friend. Hi, Elena. Hey, how are you? I'm great. How are you? Good. Tell us what you've brought us. What? And why? For the love of God, why? I immediately have to apologize because my memory of this movie was that it was very scary? But I saw this movie when it came out, and I think I only watched the first 30 minutes, which are kind of scary. And the part that I really thought was truly traumatizing as a child happens immediately, and it's the scene with the eyeball.
Starting point is 00:01:13 So that is really, I think, probably a very scary and cool thing that happened. However, that scene ended, and then we were left with this garbage can. But it's also, it happens to Bruce Campbell known star of horror movies. Right, and when it happened I was like, see this is a horror movie and then yeah, you're right. There's like one or two other scary things that happen. Sure. Like Tim Curry's accent? Yeah, yeah. Ernie Hudson's accent. Yeah, you really sold me on Tim Curry's. Ernie Hudson's doing an Errol Flit impression the whole time. I forgot. I feel like the two of them thought they were in a different movie. Like they were, the two of them were in a buddy comedy and they were just gonna, because they're both very good actors, both very funny guys and they were just gonna play play off each other and do a funny comedy. And everyone else was like, wait. Yeah, I think like Laura Linney gave it her all.
Starting point is 00:02:07 And I think she was really, really committed to wearing that vest. And that baseball cap. And that baseball cap. Actually, we should pause and talk about Laura Linney for a moment. Because I thought, I thought she was so, I just feel bad when a th probably they look back on and they feel really stupid about. Yeah. This might be that movie for her. That said she looked amazing. She looked amazing and she act I mean
Starting point is 00:02:31 I thought she was great she was a dramatic star in this film. Yeah I would say the acting is not the issue with this movie. No what do you think the issue is? The pacing? Oh tell me what that's the issue? So this movie is like, if I may, aping those old Finger quotes. Those old Hollywood movies from like the 30s and 40s of like white people go to Africa. Yeah, the dark the dark land or whatever. Oh, we're talking about Congo. Oh, we're talking about Congo. Oh, the scariest movie ever. Oh, the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. the the th. the th. the the the the the the the th. the the th. the th. the the the the the the the the th. the th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. the the the the the the the thi. the thi. the the thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. the the the the the the the the the thi. the the the thi. thi. thi. the scariest movie ever. Yeah, the immediate intro to was, I felt instantly problematic with the like footage of Africa. I don't know why put that in quotes because it really, it really was. It was, it was like a nature preserve. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Here's some fucking lions. Is that Africa? Yeah, there's like a giraffe. That one tree. It's that, that, that, that, the the the the the the the the the th. It's, the the th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. Yeah, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I I the, I I the, I I I the, I the, I th. I I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I felt, I felt, I felt, I felt, I felt, I felt, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, that all images of Africa, every cover of a book that's based in Africa by white people. Is this the Sahara? Yes, it is. Yes, it is. There's a Sahara tree. This must definitely be Africa.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Oh, I know Africa. I've seen Congo. But those movies that it's aping were, it the topops like 65 minutes long. They were like, what do we have to do to get it into a theater and a double feature? That's all I'm shooting for. And how much racism gonna cram into this? A lot. And this one's like, what about if it's like two hours?
Starting point is 00:03:54 What about if it's like two hours? What about of you, you're two hours? It's a hundred and nine minutes, sir? th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi? thi? thi. thi. thi. thi. thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, th, thahour this motherfucker. It's like 90 minutes isn't it? Yeah I don't think it was two hours. It's a hundred nine minutes sir. Yeah yeah that's almost two hours it's 11 minutes short right. No. Yeah 120 is two yeah 120 minutes remember? I do. Dave Kendall. I didn't remember either the sort of like geopolitical ramifications of this movie. I didn't believe that it had in the larger world or within the context of the film. Within the context of the film. I didn't remember, for instance, the scene at the airport. Yeah. Which was fucking crazy. Can I swear on this?
Starting point is 00:04:39 Okay. It was fucking crazy. That was crazy. That car. That was crazy. That that that that that that think the president was in that car. That was nuts. And then they get on that airplane. This movie was scary. Yeah, it was pretty scary. Just not a horror movie, just like in a, oh. Logistics. But they go to the airport and fucking Joey Pantelio thojo. Joey Pantelione? I don't know him. He's in the matrix. He's in Goody's in. J. He's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the f. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. J. We. We. We. We. We. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. W. W. P. W. J. He. He. I don't know him. He's in The Matrix, he's in Goonies. Oh. He's in, he's one of the Fratellis and Goonies.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Oh, yeah. He plays Eddie Ventro in this movie. Yeah, yeah, I would feel like the tropical shirt. Eddie Ventro is a great character, by the time. Yeah, I would have like to have seen to have to getting whatever next class of Mercedes so I'm going to pop in and out like at the beginning and end of this movie. Yeah. Did he come back? I don't even remember I'm coming back. I don't think he did. He comes back a little bit later after like everything goes to shit and he has to show back up at another airport and he's like oh I got you this stuff now. Does he shows up up after they go to the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the Leapold the the the the the the the the the the to go. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. He goes. He goes. He goes. He goes. He goes. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He was the the the the the le. He was the le. He was the le. He the le. He the leapold the leapold the leapold the. He the. He was. He was. He was. He was. He was. He was. He goes. He goes. He goes. He goes. He goes. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes up. He goes. He goes up. He goes. He goes. He goes up the. He goes. He goes. He, okay. That scene was interesting. Was that the Stop Eating My Sesame Cake?
Starting point is 00:05:46 Yeah. That's evidently a really famous meme. Oh, really? Oh, really? that famous? Yeah, I mean, I think I could get a lot of mileage out of making like a gift of stop eating my Sesame Cake. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Just because Tim Curry is just like, mildly making mouth-love to that. Sesame cake and just like, oh and then stop eating my sesame cake. Stop eating my sesame cake. It's so good. Sesame cake is delicious. I've never had it. I think to like Tim Curry read this, he read the script and he was like, this is horrible. I'm gonna have a lot of fun. And he probably said, like, can I have an accent? Yes. And they were like, sure, let's make your character Romanian. Romanian. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:30 I was wondering if he's the grown-up version of his character from Rocky Har. He's actually Transylvanian. Yeah, that's all right. Maybe his inspiration was himself. I have a feeling that he and Ernie Hudson showed up and the one of them was like swimming pool and the other was like private jet. And then they were like, okay, you want to fuck around? Definitely, you got this.
Starting point is 00:06:52 So did this movie make a lot of money? This movie was extremely successful. I'm going to tell you how much it costs to make and I want you to guess how much money it's how much to guess how much to guess how much to guess how much to guess how much to guess how much to guess how much much much much money it's cost. It must have cost so much. The hippo budget alone. They're so dangerous. All of the actors in ape suits. Those were actors. The budget was 50 million. What was the box office? $25 dollars. No, you guess. Stop guessing at my budget box office number. Stop guessing my Sesame budget box office number. Stop guessing my system budget. I already know.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Oh do you? Yeah, 150 million dollars? 152 million dollars. Are you kidding? This movie, the o'clock, thrown, this movie, the tio'er. This is a hot blockbuster film.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Yeah. This is Michael Crayton. This is writing on the of Jurassic Park. Yes. Rob told me that he saw this movie in the theater and then went to Burger King and got a Congo watch. What? So it was like a very Congo day for him. And he was, he remembers it. How long ago was this movie? How long ago was thiiour.
Starting point is 00:07:53 That's very cool. Yeah. One kind of weird thing this movie was made after it, but it seems like it was made maybe a hundred years before. I think that might be much like from Poultrygeist to Fulder Guys 2, the lack of a Stephen Spielberg really takes away from a movie. Yeah, okay. Oh, okay, yeah, that could be good. Yeah, you put a Spielberg in something. It's that's that's that's that's that's that's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, I I I that's, I that's, I that's, I that's, I I that's, I that's, I that's, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I thi. I th. I thi. th. I th. thi. I th. I thi. I thi. I th. I thi. I thi. I thi. look a lot better. Do we know who directed this movie and if he's... Yeah, okay. Frank Marshall, who is a good director, right?
Starting point is 00:08:29 Is he? I thought so. What else has he done? Arachnophobia. He did, yeah, I was gonna see, he is the director for Rackenophobia. Yeah. A live? Eight below. Uh, that's it. Pardon me, I didn't, I didn't know. He's produced a lot of movies.
Starting point is 00:08:50 He had produced a lot of movies. What does he look like? Average old white guy. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. When I first saw his name, I thought it was, I immediately thought he was Gary Marshall. That's my mistake. That was my mistake. That was a very different movie. Yeah. When Harry met Congo. He and Spielberg were, they had founded Amblin
Starting point is 00:09:09 Entertainment, so they were friends, colleagues. He just didn't have the goods, I guess. Can we get into the fucking heavy hitters that are in this movie? Yeah, we haven't talked all about Amy, which... The heavy hitters be incredible. So we've got Laura Linnie. Love Laura Lennie. Oh, she's a fucking treasure. Whoever the fuck Dylan Walsh is? He was in Niptuck. Oh, people like the show about plastic surgery that people in my dorm liked watching.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Fair enough. I have like dusty dorm girls watching it. Dust of dorm girls watching it. Dusty dorm girls watching Dylan. So Ernie Hudson. I love Ernie Hudson. A treasure. I mean, he's a fucking ghostbuster. But he's also so much more than that. Oh sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Like he's so buff. Strangely buff, right? Yeah, I would let him take me all over everywhere. Wood. Wood, wood. He's on Grace and Frankie. I don't know if you've watched that, the Netflix. I like it a lot.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And he's like an old guy, but you're still like, wood. It's pretty nice. So Tim Curry, who's we've talked about, and everyone loves, and he's a god damn national treasure and I will hear no different. Joe Don Baker. Yeah. Who's that? Mitchell from MST 3K? Oh yes, yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And like he's like a B movie star from the 70s. Is he that the nerd? The nerd scientist? No, he's the dickhead owner of the corporation whose brother gets lost in Africa. It's his son. Oh, thi the son, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's like, thi's like, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. thi, thi, th. th. th. Oh, th. Oh, th. M. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, thi, thi, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh, thi. Oh,'s his son. Oh, is his son? Okay. Did you think they were brothers? I wasn't paying that close. That's not close. I mean, they're related.
Starting point is 00:10:50 It's close. Yeah. And the top of the top of them all, in my opinion. Tim Curry? Yeah. He's the best. You didn't mention him. He said he's a national traitor. He said it like six times. No, I'm saying it again. But it's also got. With Tim Curry.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Tim Curry is in the... I think Tim Curry might be in this. Yes, I read it. I didn't see it. John Hawks, who was in from Dustil Dawn, which he did recently, he was the store owner. Or the screaming guy that they find in the jungle that was with Bruce Campbell. That was well acted. Yeah. Oh, okay, yeah, yeah. James Karen, who was recently in Poltergeist and also in return of the living dead, he played the college president. Oh, okay. Tell me more.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Wait, was he one of the people who was in the audience at the lecture about Amy? He must have it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. Yeah. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. the people who was in the audience at the lecture about Amy? He must have it. The sales pitch about Amy? I thought they were selling Amy for a minute. It was very confusing. Would you buy Amy? No, I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night and she'd be like, Amy, gorilla, Amy, shut takes.
Starting point is 00:11:58 They'd have to keep her in one more out of the famous people. The airplane pilot? Oh, was Jimmy fucking Buffet. What? What? Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffet? Landshark, Jimmy Buffet? Wow. Jimmy, fucking Buffet.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Are you sure? I'm sure. Jimmy Buffet? Jim Buffet. Are you sure? I'm sure it's not like Jimmy Buffet. Like someone else. Jimmy Buffer. Jimmy buffering? There must be, it's not him. And that can't be the same person. OK. That's nice that you think that, though.
Starting point is 00:12:36 I think you're going to be using him with Tim Curry, who's in this movie. What? It's James Buffett. Fine. I'm really glad that you knew that because I think that really changes this movie and makes it more of like a 10 compared to a 3. No spoilers though. Yeah, I think one thing that I liked to think about while watching this movie was like who I would want to hang out with the most. And I definitely hated the scientist person so much. The Dillon, Amy's dad. Amy's dad.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Or Amy's boyfriend? I can't tell. And what was up? They were up with their relationship. They were fucking. They were definitely fucking. They were definitely fucking. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:23 . Yeah, he didn't nod. He tickled her so much. Yeah. It made me very, very uncomfortable. Wow, no, I don't think he was fucking. No, I didn't think he was fucking. He knew her drink, too. I just thought it was like a level of intimacy that I haven't seen. I mean, at the end, no. You don't feel like it was like a parent child? No, no. No spoilers for this movie. the thi thi thi he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he thi he he thi thi thi he thi he he he thi thi heat thi heat thi heat heat heat heat heat heat he was he was he was he was heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat he heat he heat he heat heat he. He he. He he. He he. I he he he he he he th. He th. He thi thi thi thi. He thi thi. He was thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi he was he was thi he was he he he lets her go at the end, which is his, the goal of his exposition. That was like a wedding. It was a wedding. It was a wedding and he was so much sadder than he was about his colleague and friend being killed.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Yes, he was like, not a collaborator. Yeah. And Amy walks into the jungle. this movie that had only one woman in it. Wow. Are you not counting Amy? I believe that Amy was played by a man in a female gorilla suit. Oh man. But correct me if I'm wrong. She voiced by someone named Shana Fox. Oh really?
Starting point is 00:14:15 Okay, so there were two women in this movie. Oh no, the Lorraine No and Misty Rojas were in suit performers of Amy. Oh, okay. So it was ladies. Oh, yeah, yeah. Okay, so this movie has a very strong female presence. It's extremely woke. Yeah. Also, the woman who voiced her was 11 years old. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:36 She was born in 1984, so. Wow. Shanna Fox. Good work. Has she done anything lately? She looks like she's a Nickelodeon voice actor. Do you think that... God, that's got to be a fucking good job.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Do you think, though, that when people ask her in work meetings to share a fun fact about herself that she outs herself as having been the voice of Amy in the movie Congo, or do you think she's like, I am a twin. I used to be on the swim team in high school. Ah, former ape. How are you? Can we talk about something about Amy? Yeah. I have a lot to say about Amy.
Starting point is 00:15:11 I too. Amy is a gorilla who's been trained by Peter Elliot, aka Dylan Walsh. A primatologist. Primitologist. Put that in quotes, thirty-a He only says it 47 times in the movie. He seems to have actually no knowledge of primates. Yeah, the things he doesn't know are weird. So he, Amy, they create like a software that converts sign language into a spoken language
Starting point is 00:15:37 and everyone starts freaking out that she's speaking. And I'm irately yelling on my couch, she's already using a language. Yeah. Sign language is already a language. Were you touched by the video of the man who said this is the first time I've ever heard my own voice, even though that wasn't actually his voice and I felt bad that no one told him that? I thought the same thing. You know those videos of like babies when they get the cochlear implants implants, their think, their, think, think, their, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thinks, thinks, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thii, thiii, thii, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi time. I think it was supposed to be like that but it just wasn't. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. It's a little
Starting point is 00:16:07 harder when it's the intergalactic planetary voice from these two. Not like fast-forward to the very end too but a point about sign language or gorilla signing it seemed to me like the gorillas at the end understood Amy's American sign language. And what I wanted to know was if that signing is universal to gorillas across the world or if they had... And they're just fucking with us to pretending to learn it? Or if they had had a primatologist come and teach them ASL maybe on another fellowship, something that we haven't seen. Wait, just like, the gorillas had hired the primatologist to come?
Starting point is 00:16:46 I don't know. Guys, we really need to get a language going here. So if we can maybe bring somebody in to like kind of teach the whole group. We've seen the Cocoa videos of her. Oh, God. Poor Amy. I just hope Amy. I just hope Amy. I do too, because I feel like they probably killed her as soon as this movie and those other gorillas probably just murdered her, right?
Starting point is 00:17:05 No. Yeah, why would they keep her? She was obviously going to them. She's too good for them. She was that the male gorilla clearly had his eye on her. Yeah, she was going to breed. That was a wedding. That was a girl. Did you like the part when he says, I'm moving on. When he says, let me turn your volume down.
Starting point is 00:17:26 What, like, why is her volume on at all, you know? They're in the jungle. They're like late in the movie, they're running from something. I don't even remember what, gorillas, I guess. And he's like, oh, hold on, let me turn your volume down. Because she's yelling about garrillias. I'm like gorillas. Just let Amy have her voice, you know? How unlike a man to want to turn a woman's voice down. Did you guys notice that Amy's backpack was a no fear backpack? Yes, it was a plaid, no fear backpack.
Starting point is 00:17:52 That was so cool. She's a huge Boston's fan. Amy was the best part of this movie, I think. Yeah. And then, why did she look so bad? It was such a bad gorilla costume. I mean, it seemed like no one had seen a gorilla, I think you're right. The part that was really uncomfortable was her nipples. Oh, I didn't even know. She had like a weird sort of plasticy plate on her chest, and it was just very uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I'm gonna look at pictures of Amy while we talk about the tmuc. I'm gonna look at pictures of Avey, can we talk about Tim Curry, who I believe is in this movie? His name? Huckamah, Hamoca. I mean that had to have been, this is a book, this is based on a novel by Michael Crane, so that had to have been in the book? This character is not in the book. Okay, because that explains a lot. Tim Kara wrote his own heart? I th. I I I I I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thum, thum, th. th. th. th. th. tham, th. Ha, th. Ha, th. Ha, th. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. H. I tha. I tha. I tha. I tha. I tha. I tha. I tha. I t. I t. I toda. I toda. I toda. I today. I today. I today. I today. I th. I think probably they wrote a part called for someone named like Dan Travis or something and he was like, I will be hookah, I'm a homoga. You're very good at that. Thank you. I watched. I did. I did. On the way over for the last three days, it's up to you. Unfortunately, I know why he's named Herkimer. So much like the Taco Bell sponsorship that obviously was in this movie because there's like a long panning shot of Taco Bell food.
Starting point is 00:19:08 I love Taco Bell. I know. So does Amy? Maybe Amy and I are a lot of like, I also have weird nipples. You're right, they're very weird. They're very, very weird. I also have a plastic chest plate. Can I see again? Yeah. So, he's named Herkimer because the Herkimer diamond mine gave them the diamonds that
Starting point is 00:19:28 they have at the end of the movie. Those are real diamonds? They're real diamonds. And they were real diamonds. I thought, my god, that looks so shitty. Is that fiberglass? And they lost one because they threw row it out of a hot air balloon and just get it? Maybe they had a net, the very finely knit net below it.
Starting point is 00:19:51 With a like a fireman tram-trambillin thing. Just Amy's down there with a net. Oh, so, but fucking, but that last name of the people who own the diamond mine is Herkimer, said they gave it as his first name. That actually explains a lot. Hercmer Homoka. It's illuminating. It was sad when he died. It was sad when he died. It was sad when he died. And in fact, everyone died. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Wasn't it, despite his, like, they Peter. Yeah, why does Peter get to live? Because now him and Laurelini can be in love with each other. Now that 80s out of the way. No, that is an unacceptable ending to this movie. She can, she needs to be on her own. Yeah, Karen Roth. We have a mutual friend named named Karen Ross. Oh, really. And actually, we the the the the the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, that's that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that, that is a that is a that is a that is a that is a that is a that is a thi, that is a that is a that is a that is a that, that that, that, that, that, that,? And actually her maiden name is Karen Allen, which is the actress in Indiana Jones, which
Starting point is 00:20:47 I feel like she has a really strong name. Yeah, she does have a strong name. For being a sort of like generic name. Don't let her hear this. She'll never hear it. She'll never hear it. It's anonymous. Completely anonymous. Yeah. I think you meant this podcast was anonymous and I was like, Elena, no, people know us.
Starting point is 00:21:07 No one's ever listened to this rate. Oh, harsh, dude. What do you guys think about the raindrop drink and would you drink one? And also, like, the raindrop drink is the drink that Amy has on the plane? The martini? The martini? But she said, green drop drink, to the th.............. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the thi, th-a, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th........... I I I I I I, th.... I, th. I, th.. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, the th. And, th. And, thi, thi, thi. thi. th th th th th th th th th th th th thi. thi. th thi. thi. thi, thi, Can you do the, like, I think she's saying green drop drink, not to correct you? No.
Starting point is 00:21:26 But I had the subtitles on and she's saying, Amy, green drop drink, Amy won. Yeah, she wants the olives and it's her green drops. I hope she was saying raindrop that's actually like much more charming than green drop drink than the drink. That's just something your That must have been when my mind-altering substance hit me. Yeah, Who here was sober for this movie? Just you? You miss me. So, when- I realized I fucked up.
Starting point is 00:21:51 You fucked up big time. Follow-up question, Amy is a puppet, right? Or she's like a person in a suit. So where do all of the food things that she drinks and all of the drinks that she drinks inside of this human suit. Into the person that's in there. They just have their mouth open inside of her mouth and they're drinking the marquini. What's a marquini? Marquini? It's a rinkin. It's a rinkin and a bikini.
Starting point is 00:22:11 It's a martini. It's a bikin' trien. It's a martini. Would you play in a plane that Jimmy Buffett was flying? Fuck no! Yeah I would. It has a martini bar? Yeah and also like I'm going to die someday. It would have to be like a sandpiper or something that was going to land on water next to the bar that he owned. Yeah. That's the only way if there was a monetized thing at the end of this that he knew I was going to spend the money the money. the the money. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thin. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. I I I I I I I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. Yeah. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. th. the. th. th. the. the. th. th. th. th. the th. the. the t. t. the tote. te. tote. t. tote. the te. tas. the t. would get me there safely. I feel like I've said this before on this podcast and I don't know why we would have been talking about Jimmy Buffett, but Landshark is a damn good beer. It's a good summer beer. It's not a, yeah, it's nice. I think. Should we talk about, um... Did that guy get a leach on his dick? Yes. That was scary. That is scary. And then he just shows a dick to Ernie Hudson. There are a lot, a lot is like really, you're right, the pacing of this movie is completely bizarre because the beginning is sort of slow, in a way. I mean there's this like scenes in Berkeley, those aren't that exciting. No, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's that's. that's. that's that's that's that's that's. that's. that's. that's. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. that's th. th. th. th. that that th. thi. that that thi. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that thi.this like scenes in Berkeley, those aren't that
Starting point is 00:23:27 exciting. No, that's true. That's like very boring and sponsored and weird. Not it's not even sponsored, but it's weird. Well maybe it is sponsored by the Diamond Company. Maybe. But then they get to Africa to Mount Mukanko or nearby and everything speeds up and everything happens. They threw every single thing that could happen in Africa into this movie. They were like, we got hippos. We got a lion under a tree. We've got a coup.
Starting point is 00:23:55 We've got a close borders and we've got a ghost tribe. We've got a ghost tribe. I forgot about the ghost tribe. They have anything to do with it? No. No. No? No. No? No. No. No. That? That that? That that th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, that that that, that, that, that, that, tho, tho, that, that, tho, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They th. They thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I forgot about the ghost tribe. They had nothing to do with this. Do they have anything to do with it? No. That was very weird. How can we, like, that was when they were like, I don't, I mean, one of our leads is a black man. Oh, he tells us like four fucking times that he's black. So how do we really like capitalize on racism? Just like a ghost tribe that's gonna do like a weird dance for a little while? That's right I remember now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Oh because they had different levels of dead. And then that's where the guy was laying under the Yeah, that's where the well-acted death. And he wasn't dead. And he wasn't dead. And then he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he that's that. And he was that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's w. And he was that's where that's wo. And he was that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's w. That's w. And he was that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's was. And he was. And he was. And he was. And he was that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the th. Well. the that's that's where the that's where that's where that's where that's where that's where that's that's that's that's that's saw Amy and then he became a different level of dead, which is to say, true dead. True dead. Yeah, her death? Well maybe there is some sort of symbolism to the ghost tribe and how the gorillas, the gray gorillas, whatever color they are, appear in the mines, you know, they're sort of hidden and obscured and then all of a sudden they're there, which is also sort of how Peter saw the the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, the ghost, th is thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the ghost, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, their, their, their, th, their, their, their, th, th, th, th, th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their, their, to to to to to to to to to theeeeeeeeeeeee is, theee is thi, thi, thi They kind of appeared behind trees, so maybe. I like the art of what you're doing here. I think that there's some relation there.
Starting point is 00:25:09 I think that there must be a tie in. I loved when they showed up and Peter sees them. He's like, hey, there's a guy back there. And Ernie Hudson's like, just don't run. And then he runs away, which I thought was funny. I did laugh at that. And the primatologist is like, I know, I've read a book. I'm a primatologist.
Starting point is 00:25:32 I mean, again, I hate to dispute his like academic credentials, but when the monkeys are mating. And Ernie Hudson's like, this is obviously the sound of monkeys mating. Yeah, you're a fucking primatologist. How do you not know that? What? Yeah. That's the sound they make? I was stunned. He's only read a book guys.
Starting point is 00:25:51 He's never actually heard the sounds. Like, let's his scientific collaborator die, a grizzly death. He cares nothing for that man. And that makes me sad. I that. I th. I th. I? No, the scientist. The side-kick scientist. Oh yeah, nobody gives a shit about that guy? Doesn't have a name. Fop, yeah. I hate to bring it back to like Ernie Hudson and how handsome he is too. No, please. When he was like speaking in the language does that character speak? A lot, seemingly. So handsome. I mean, I would, like, near the end of this movie, I was like, can I just watch the Ernie Hudson movie?
Starting point is 00:26:31 Whatever that is, that has him doing this like, like Indiana Jones character? He knows everything there is to know. Any question anyone has. He answers it in his like smooth, dilset, to to to the to to the to the toe, thilse, thilse, the thilse, thillue, thillue, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. I thi, th. I th. I, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. the thean. thean. thean. thean. thean. thean. thi. thean, thi, all-knowing tone, and it was very sexy. We might fuck at the end of the sentence, I'm Ernie Hudson. Oh my god. Wait, did he die? He died, didn't he? No, no, he makes it to the end.
Starting point is 00:26:52 What? No. Is he on the hot airpunge? Oh yeah, Laura Linney and Peter. Because when Peter throws the dive-in, th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to to to to die, to die, to die, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, th. to, th. to th. to to to th. to, the, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to die, to, the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. to, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, to di, to die, to die, to die, to die, to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the the the, the the, the. the. the. the. the. to to to to to to to to to to to to to the thi. to the to the. He the. He, th like, and then that's the end of the movie. I think I did have a moment of being super afraid that only white people would survive this movie, which was not a movie that I wanted to see. No, in the grand scheme of things, a woman, a black man, and an asshole all made into the end of this movie. And a gorilla, played by a human. It was definitely getting fucked of the woods. Should we try to describe the plot of this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it or have we already done that?
Starting point is 00:27:29 Go ahead. Alan hadn't seen this movie. That's true. Okay, so this movie. Okay, I'm gonna do it in 15 words or less. All right. No, I'm not. Okay, I'll count. Man has gorilla. Yeah. That's the right. Okay. She's holding up her fingers. Man wants to take gorilla back to Africa. There's a lot of layers here.
Starting point is 00:27:51 11 words. I'm done. I'm out for more. Diamonds. Chaos. Laura Lenny works for a big telecommunications corporation for which diamonds are the future. travicon. Travicom. My name is th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, the, mark is that traffic travacom travacom travacom my name's travas this is about communications what can we call this company trash so she needs the diamonds for the
Starting point is 00:28:13 communications industry to make a laser they can punch a hole in the moon yeah which is scary for people who live in space yeah so this movie is scary for people who live in space. Yeah. So this movie is scary. It's a horrid movie. Her ex-fiance has gone missing? I guess it's her ex-fiancé? Who's the son of her, her boss? Or brother?
Starting point is 00:28:34 Or brother? So here's the thing that bothered me was that she was like, if I believe that. the thing that bothered me was that shethis isn't about him, and the guy's like, yeah, yeah, it's about him. Like, why the fuck would she ever believe that? Right, there was never any doubt in my mind. I've seen a lot of Joe Don Baker movies. There's never an instance where you want to trust Joe Don Baker. I mean, he rolls up carrying a golf club.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Yeah. It's a bad guy some pictures of TV screens. 8.5 by 11 pieces of paper. Listen, the ape budget in this movie was pretty fucking high and Tim Curry wasn't working for cheap so no TV is all right. And we forgot that there's a volcano that erupts. Oh my god I forgot about it until you just said that I had no notes about it. This is when I was eating wings. Your fingers are like the. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not the th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not the the th. I'm not their their their their their their their their their. I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their the. I'm not the. I'm not theat. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not th. I'm not the. I'm not the. I'm not they. I have no notes about it. This is when I was eating wings. Your fingers are like too messy. Yeah, I was like, I'm not touching my phone. It's not worth it.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Another scary scene, though, is the one where the head gets thrown down the hot, the, uh, into the temple that they all just run into the reason. You talking th th th. Why you th, why you, why you, why, why, why, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, I was like, I was like, thi, I'm, I was like, I was like, I'm thi, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm, I'm, I was like, I was like, I was like, I I thi, I I I I I I thi, I I I I I I, I I I I I I I was, I I I I I was. Yeah, I I I th. Yeah, I I I I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I was like, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not like, I'm not like, to, to, to, thi. Yeah's the lost city of Zing. It's where Solomon's mines are, is diamond mines. So, so part of the impetus of their journey to the Congo, to Congo, the Congo, Congo. Oh. I think at the time it was Congo. It was Congo at the time, right. OK. I meant to make a sort of of of of of of of of of of to to to to to to to to to to to to to the flow to the flow to the flow to the the the the the the tho, I the the tho, I the the the tho, I the thi. thi. the the thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, the their their their their their. their, their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. So, their. So, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, ti. So, toeeea. So, ti. So, somea. So, somea. So, so. So, somea. So, so. So, so. So, so, so chart for us to be able to talk about this correctly. Respectfully.
Starting point is 00:30:06 But we've already fucked it up. Yeah. Yeah. Sort of is motivated by Tim Curry coming to this extremely weird lecture that Peter is giving at Berkeley. And my question is, does he just go to like all lectures? I don't know. Or was he like, oh, you're going to Africa with me? Yeah. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I's, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, you're going to, oh, you're going to, I, were you to Africa with me? Yeah, but here's, wait, here's the craziest thing.
Starting point is 00:30:27 And he like, had a ring in his pocket, and he was like, those drawings that the gorilla made. It's not, it's just an eye. It's just an eye. And then on the same? Avey is supposed to react to it? I don't know. And she's like, because that ape suit can't emote, it was just kind of like, ah, and that was it?
Starting point is 00:30:54 And that was it? She's like, all right, man. She's really bugged out, man. It just seems like it would be so simple to have a symbol to symbol, that is not an eye, that is actually like a unique, distinctive thing that Amy was painting and he had a ring with that and then it was on the wall of a temple, there you go. Why is it an eye? It's just why? Why? Why? I forgot that I was mad about that. I just know. I mean, I think I set you up really well to talk about that. Thank you. I'm okay now. I mean I know that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that the the movies that we that we the movies th the movies that we th th th. the movies th. the movies that that the the the the movies the movies the movies the movies the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tip. tip. tip. tha. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. the the the the the the coincidence, but like, why was he there? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:26 He had been stalking them up until that point. Why? He knew about the eye. Because, as he showed them later, how he's lecturing us with a finger right now. There's a finger pointed at Jesus right now. Not anybody in the room, just right up to the Lord. He pulls that picture out of his pocket that he had found in a magazine of Amy drawing the eyeball. It's literally just a circle.
Starting point is 00:31:49 It's just a circle with like a circle inside. I don't understand how he went from drawing to eyeball to his ring. Well he's got this ring you see, you see. Well he's got this ring you see, that's got the same ring. I mean I saw the ring, I saw the movie I saw the movie, I saw a movie, I saw a question that might be a very stupid question? There are no stupid questions. No, this might be a stupid one. When it's talking about Congo? Was Eem born in Africa? She was not bred in captivity.
Starting point is 00:32:09 So they took her. They did take her. That's fucked, too. I mean, that's like, that's like the one thing's also that like five day long hike on that exposed ridge and they see the Mount Mukankanko and Peter's like, Amy, you're home and she freaks out and like kind of walks off on her own. You don't remember this? No. I think I'm mixing it up with Lord of the rings. I was very similar. Are you guys familiar with the 90s hip-hop group Dead Prez? No. They were like a political hip-hop group.
Starting point is 00:32:48 They have a lyric that I wasn't born in Ghana, but Africa is my mama. And I was singing that to myself when they were discussing Amy's heritage, and I think I just went off down that road. Just believed it to be true. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's just a dead Prez fan. Okay, well, I do think she was born there. Okay, it's an mystic. I mean, you're the expert on the movie, that's why you brought it. You have seen it twice. Once in 1996 and once on Friday night. Ergo, expert. Didn't we initially like think that like guests would bring us their favorite horror movies? Yeah, I don't know how this this this this's almost like, they're like, I'm not gonna fuck with those two.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Because you wanted to do Congo with us for a while. Yeah, this came up a long time ago. It did not. It did. It did. Don't embarrass us. I, again, I thought this movie. saw it when I was a baby. A bunch of gorillas surrounding you with intent to kill you is scary, no matter what. But like weird, devolved, violent, hateful gorillas.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Yeah. That Solomon made to guard his mind. They bred them to be violent, which they figured out from. Hieroglyphics? Clayve drawing? Okay, hey, h, hieroglyphics. This is how. Hercomokar says it.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Have you're laughing and I will have mine. It's also a thing he says. I liked too that when he was interpreting the hiroglifix, that they were under attack by the gorillas and everyone was fighting, like, all of the, you know, like, people of color who they hired to be their were like risking their lives and he was in his fucking tent with a flashlight. Interpreting hieroglyphics. See that fucking firefight scene where she had brought like 40 fully automatic weapons that had motion detectors that just spun 360 to shoot bullets?
Starting point is 00:34:43 I like that a lot. Why is not everybody dead? It was targeted. It was the perimeter. It's a flashlight. It was the flashlight. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was a f. It was a flashlight. It was a flashlight. It was a flashlight. It was a flashlight. It was a flashlight. It was a flashlight. It was a flashlight. It was like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like a flashlight. It's like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like. It's like. It's like. It was like. It was like. It was a f. It was a fu. It was a fu. It was a fu. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the the the the the the the the the the the the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was the f. It was a f-. It was a f-. F. It was a f-a. F. It was the f-a. It was the f-. It like that a lot. Why is not everybody dead? It was targeted. It was the perimeter. It was the perimeter. But they were just like, true, true, true. For like, twooo for like twenty minutes. Travacom knows what the fuck they're doing.
Starting point is 00:34:55 And then just Ernie have been the most fun thing to do. Like, and so loud. I expected too that the lasers, given that this was, you know, a telecom company who was so invested in lasers, that those lasers would be effective in doing anything. But they don't do anything. Well, they cut those gorillas in half. But did they really? I mean, what good down a satellite later. And I said to Rob, I don't think that could happen. And he looked at me with like dead, serious taste, and he was like, lasers will keep going
Starting point is 00:35:29 until they hit something. And I was like, dude, I don't know if that's true. It might be, but like they just can't go infinite, you know? Evidently they can. Forever lasers. So he's a scientist. Oh, he's not. If you're building technology, maybe don't base it on the really hard thing to find. Yeah, yeah, right. Maybe just make it out of like tinfoil. Cardboard, it's everywhere.
Starting point is 00:35:54 Yeah. Can, are diamonds necessary for lasers? Oh yeah. Oh, God, yeah. I looked at you like, musp. As someone who's seen real genius multiple times, there's a laser in that, they're definitely necessary. You definitely need a lot of...
Starting point is 00:36:09 I don't think we're supposed to poke too many... Laser holes? Laser holes in that particular plot line, because I think it's pretty superfluous to the plot of this incredible movie. That's fair. Can I give you my overarching view of this movie? Yeah. I think that this is an allegory about how we should fear that white people are going to hoard all the wealth and kill us if we try to take it away from them.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Specifically old white people. The gray apes are not letting anybody have anything. They're keeping them all for themselves. And the old rich white guy is willing to sacrifice his son for the most powerful diamond laser in the world. This movie was warning us about our current political climate where the baby boomers are ruining everything for everybody else. Oh my god, you're right. Congo, how you do me like that. Yeah, I just dropped some shield on your head, huh?
Starting point is 00:37:08 Is this a good movie? No! What a revelation! Yeah. I'm silenced. So how does that, um, the scene fit in where the guy is like, my name's Claude and the other guy's like, that's a weird name for someone from... That was a weird, like micro-aggression.
Starting point is 00:37:31 That was very, very, very weird. And that was, that was the nerdy scientist guy, right? He's like, oh, there must be a lot of people named Cla to Mombasa? By the way, I loved that character. Yes, Pallad was great. She was so cool. Yeah. I would jump out of a plane with him. Well, you don't know. Unfortunately, you can't because they ripped his head off. Yeah, that was also troubling. Yeah. All of those like poor guides. the poor guides I thi. I just, I think th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. Oh and that dude's been in a bunch of stuff too. He was in Lost. He was in, did you watch Lost? He was in Oz which for some reason I referenced all the time on the show even though I hated it. But he's been he's like a ton of a ton of different stuff. Oh I was gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna gonna to say to say the the the to say the the the the the the the the the the the hea hea hea hea hea hea. He's like a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot. He's like a lot a lot a lot a lot of a lot a lot of a lot of a lot of a lot a lot of a lot of a lot of a ton of different stuff. Oh, I was gonna say though, like, I felt like there was weird parts in this movie
Starting point is 00:38:26 that were actually like, for like the shitty like, portrayal of the ghost tribe and how like, it was just like, it felt like a throwback to that 30s, racism and movies. Those moments where it was like, actually the white dude's the asshole in this situation, like, you've th, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the............ the the the the, like, the, like, the.... the. the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the asshole and he's plainly the asshole in this situation, like you've never been to Mombasa. Like, go fuck yourself. What do you know about people from Mombasa? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:49 I felt like that stuff was, and that happens a couple times. When they go to meet the Stop Eating My Sesame Cake, like he's supposed to be this like, I don't know, war lord or just something. something and he was like kind of just like a reasonable dude for the most part except don't eat stop eating my my sesame cake which he did invite him to eat yeah but I felt like that was just a weird power move and if I was like if like a white colonialist was coming to my country to do that I'd be like stop eating my cake and he'd be like oh okay like then would you take the the money they gave you put in a paper bag and staple it the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the ttttape. ttape. they. they. they. they. the the the they. the the. Yeah, it's just hitting in the leg with it. I stapled so nobody gets into my money. We also haven't even talked about the fact that Laura Lennie is a former CIA superhero.
Starting point is 00:39:33 She shoots down the heat-seeking missiles. Yeah, that was very cool. That was very cool. From a plane. Can you do that? Is that a thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, is a thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, is a thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, that, the that, that, th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the the the the the the the the the the the thi, the thi, thi, thi, thi, tha, thea, thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. tha. thea. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. th? Is that a thing that can happen? I don't think so. I think the theory is that the heat from the flare will attract the missile? Oh. And then when you're... Well, why would it let go of the plane, which is a much bigger heat signal? I'm not a militarologist. Is that what they're calling? I'm not a gun doctor? But then her her hernia huntie hunts her doing it together? the their. And it's h. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. their their th. th. the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. theat theat theat theat. theat. theateateat. theat. theateateat. theateateat. theat. the doing it together and it's fucking hilarious. Yeah, they are great. I thought that was like, they showed amazing grace under pressure there. She was unruffled. She was so cool.
Starting point is 00:40:12 She's just like, I'm just trying to get to love actually, guys. I'm just trying to get to love actually now. Everyone thought I was in Jurassic Park, but it was that other lady, it wasn't me. Wait, do people think that she was Helen Hunt? That's not Helen Hunt? Is that Laura Dern? It's Laura Dern? It's Laura Dern. I always mix up Laura Dorn and Helen.
Starting point is 00:40:31 That's weird because they're both blonde, the twon, white ladies. I just mix them up in my brain. Not all blonde women, Alan. She also has a song on a child's record, a record of children's songs that... Wait, Laura Lennie, Laura Dern or Elin, yeah. Let's play a game. Laura Lerney, Laura Dern or Helen Hunt. Paul Riser's friend. Helen Hunt. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Huan huh? Laura Durn. Damn. As good as it gets. No idea. Helen Hunt? Yeah! Game rules. I thought I mixed them up, but I really am pretty good at this.
Starting point is 00:41:17 I don't know any other movies. Jurassic Park 2. Ooh. Nobody. Trick question. I don't think any of them are just the little blue. And his daughter. What? His daughter? Well, his actress daughter. Oh, his IRL daughter. We did get a tweet from somebody or a message from somebody that he is a dad in Jurassic world. Oh, yeah, that's what Elena is saying. No, no, he like his character is a dad, because we were talking about it. That's what character is the dad and the second one.
Starting point is 00:41:47 That's what you're saying? Oh, I think you were saying that his real life daughter. I think he was saying his real life daughter. Does he have a real daughter? I think he's very young. Goldblum just... For whom? For who is this good for? Good for those children. Good for those children. Yeah. He's aged really, really well. I apologize to all of your fans for objectifying every actor, actress.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Oh no, we're fine. I do this constant. Okay, good. We have a strict, every other podcast is objectifying women, so just go to town on dudes. We have definitely to go the the. It was Laura Linnie right now. I'm completely Yeah, it's a Laura Liddy. I just have like a blonde blob in my head. Okay, we've talked a lot about her outfits and her immaculate eye makeup. How does she have that immaculate eye makeup in the middle of the jungle? It doesn't make any sense. Maybe it's maybe it's maybe it's maybe. I mean, jump out of window. That was the right era anyway. Her hair looked just perfectly styled and washed and lustrous. Yeah, I really I really felt you know. That said like that that James Bond thing
Starting point is 00:42:54 if he can like walk out of the ocean with perfectly coiffed hair like. She is the female James Bond I mean she was a bad ass in this movie. Yeah, mm-hmm. She's X CIA How have we gone 43 minutes and not said Laura Linnie's titties once? Ding. She's a respectable, respectable lady and although she's like they have like a moment. She's kind of a monster. Yeah, she's not doing great things with these diamonds. She's gonna go steal them. Oh, yeah, she's like an unapologetic Corporate monster. Yeah. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. How thi thi thi thi thi thi thi they've they've they've they've they've they've they've thi they've they've thi. How have diamonds, she's going to go steal them. Oh yeah, she's like an unapologetic corporate monster. Yeah, she's forcing people to drive into a war zone so that she can make money. And risk their lives for her. But she, or is she really there to rescue her ex-fiance?
Starting point is 00:43:36 Because she seemed sincere about that. She did, but it was so funny that constantly pointing out my ex-fiance just downgraded to friends so it doesn't sound so aggressive every time you say it. And I thought maybe this maybe would pass the vectal test and that there wouldn't be a romance in it but there's an ex-romance in it. They have like an aunt she and what's his fucking their Peter are having like a weird flirtation. We both poets. We both doctors. Yeah that was gross. Yeah. they they that. they that. they they they they that they they they they they th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. theat theat are the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the the the the the the the the tho the are thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooe. And the. And the. And that shit. Yeah. That was gross. So gross. Yeah. Ugh. What's up? They leave in a hot air balloon. Which she says they don't need. They make a big deal on it that she didn't need it. But they took it from that plane that they found wrecked that the other team from trav com, travcom, travcom. Travis com. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Bradcom? Chadcom? Why did that not get shot? How could they think of a hot air balloon isn't going to get shot down? Who would shoot down a hot air balloon? They're beautiful. Whoever's shooting down the planes? They're fun.
Starting point is 00:44:39 They're really not maneuverable. They could obviously see there's no Jimmy Buffett in that Honorable Air Balloon, no reason to shoot it down. Speaking of Jimmy Buffett, though, I did like the scene where... Do you think with Sammy Hagar that was shooting down the plane to take out Jimmy Buffett? Yes, there can be only one. Most definitely. I liked that. I liked the scene where Ernie Hudson movie. When we get down to it. My final note is, well, that's dunk. Oh, what? That's weird that you thought that. Yeah, what made you think that? What made you change your mind?
Starting point is 00:45:15 Change one. My final note is about how this is yet another movie that we're doing where Jerry Goldsmith is doing it. Yeah. We've done so many movies in th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. I thin, thin, thin, thin thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to it. Yeah. We've done so many movies with Jerry Gold. The score in this one is a not a great. It's a very, um, I have an Africa setting on my keyboard and I press the button and this is what happened. It's a very circle of lifey. Yeah, in fact the beginning reminded me a little bit of like a shitty lion king. Exactly. Yeah, and lion king. And lion king the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi is thi is thi is thi is thi is thi is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi's kind of shitty enough. That was the working title of this movie. Shitty Lion King? What did Lion King come out? Ninety-four? Okay, so this was just after.
Starting point is 00:45:54 It was America's. They were like, I saw this great Disney movie about Africa. Let's tell the Michael Cretan. Do you say Cretan? Do you say Cretan? Cretan? Cretan? Cretan? Cretan? C it. Do you say you say Cretan? Do you say Cretan? Do you say Cretan? Cretan. I think I said Cretan. Is it Cretan? I would say Cretan because Cretan is not nice. People do say, yeah. Yeah. Ugh. Let's ask Google how it's actually ti. Those people. How would Amy say it? Michael Creton. to Crichton. th of Google. th of Google. th. th. th. th. th. thine. th. thi. thi. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Good good Crichton. Who wrote Congo? Michael Crichton once in for all. He did. I didn't know that. Oh yeah he's been dead for a minute. God rest of this all. I thought that there were...
Starting point is 00:46:36 Yeah, 11 years apparently. I had not a clue. There were some good lines in this movie. I wrote them down. This is pure Kafka. The like research assistant said that. I really liked that. Stop eating my sesame cake. But wait the response that was, who is Kafka? Tell me! Which I liked a lot. Stop eating my sesame cake. In regards to the mating monkeys, Ernie Hudson said, every monkey for 200 miles thinks he's always pressed. But he said, every monkey for 200 miles thinks he's always present. But he said, every monkey for two. Oh my God, don't even do it. It's making me feel like thing. Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:14 Get out of the way. Someone said at some point a trumping card, which I really liked, and I hope to like that had to be like Tim Curry that said, yeah. Yeah. Because he also says, Safari at one point. Like instead of Safari? Safari. He was just like, how far can I go over and kick me off this?
Starting point is 00:47:36 The answer is really far. Who do you think had more fun in this? Ernie Hudson? I was going to say Tim Curry, but that's.. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I th. I th. I th. th. I to th. to to to to to to to th. to to th. to to to th. to to to th. to be th. th. th. to to be to be th. to be to be th. that's. that's. to to to to be. to be like, to be like, to be like, to be like, to be like, to be. to be. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to to to to t. t. too. too. to too. to too. to to too. to to to to too. to to too. too. I was going to say Tim Curry, but that's fair. Yeah. I think Tim Curry was just like, give me that scenery because I'm going to gnong. Yeah. I wanted during the laser scene for Ernie Hudson just to like look over at the laser and be like,
Starting point is 00:47:55 today. I'm sure there's like a director's cut where that happens. Would you watch the director's cut of this movie? I think I did. Did you guys get this from the public library? No, I cut it from the public, uh, Amazon. Yeah, I rented this. I paid money for it. Oh, no. The public library had three copies.
Starting point is 00:48:17 And you didn't get the other two for us? Each to eachthis podcast so I feel comfortable saying this. He was having a lot of feelings about Peter's relationship to Amy where he was like, that's his baby. I was like Rob, no, no. You two think he's trying to fuck the monkey. I know. I'm sorry that gorilla. At one point I have written down here. I don't remember writing this but I wrote Rob just said heartstrings. I don't know why. That's disgusting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:50 Maybe. Fatherhood is really hard for it. Maybe things are different when you're a dad. Yeah. I wouldn't have that perspective. And I was also like, do you think Lucy is like this monkey? that's a gorilla. I'm sorry, a girl is not monkeys? No, they're apes.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Or monkeys, not apes? They're monkeys. I'm sorry, I'm not a primatologist. You have not a monkey a scientific term. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. I think you know as much about primates as Peter. Pretty much.
Starting point is 00:49:22 I'm not a pound of sugar, I'm a primatologist, which is also something he says in this movie. Did he say that? When they were like about buying like Harkimer Holmolka's offering him money, it's like, I'm not a pound of sugar, I'm a primatologist. Oh, that's when he had that like academic dick measuring contest with Laura Linney. Yeah. And her's was bigger. thi th. th. th. th. th. thus. thus. thus. thus. thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, like like thus, like thus, like thus, like thi, like thi, like thi, like thi, like thi, like thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like about like, like about like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. I's, thi. I's, thi. I's. Yeah. She wasn't a shitty fucking Peter. You like Peter less than Laura Linney in this movie? Oh yeah, yeah. It seems to me that Peter's just trying to do the right thing. Also fucking that monkey, but trying to do the right thing. But at the end of the day, Laura Lennie's still Lurlini. True. Or is she Lora Darn? Or is she? Or is she? It she? It's unclear. Who even knows?
Starting point is 00:50:06 Maybe they all three tapped in for that role, because that's probably why she looked so beautiful all the time. Actually, she was playing by. Yes. We need a fresh linty? Fresh Karen Ross, please. All right. Should we move on to the, can you say it in the style of herkimer, hummunk?
Starting point is 00:50:30 I was gonna do it like Amy the gorilla. Okay. Rain? Nope, can't do it, I'm out. Amy, rate the movie. Amy, rate movie. Rate movie, the movie. You didn't yell ugly gorilla. Ugly, Amy. Carilla. You didn't yell ugly gorilla.
Starting point is 00:50:45 Ugly, gorilla. Reindrop drink. Raindrop drink. It's okay. It's not right. It's not right. It's not right. I feel wrong with it.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Give your aunt another rain drop drink. Green drop drink. Try that. No. You're not a trick pony. She's not a monkey. She doesn't do what you're telling you. I'm a gorilla.
Starting point is 00:51:08 It's different. Who? Who? You go first. You did this to us. With the rating? Yeah, you rate this movie. Um, this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Look at you're staring off in the middle distance.
Starting point is 00:51:26 I mean, me halfway. A number written on one of those books, fine. Um, 3.4. Oh, wow. Any justification for this rating or just- You brought this to us? Yeah, this is your doing. I had a good time watching it.
Starting point is 00:51:44 I thought it was... I don't know if you know how our rating system. Well, we don't either. Sure, that's right, no, you're right. I had a good time watching it. I experienced like one or two thrills. I laughed a lot. Some chills maybe. Thrills, chills and uh. No crocodiles, no crocodiles. Yeah. I'm surprised there were no crocodiles. Yeah. Yeah, 3.3, 3.4. Somewhere between those two. So we're between those two. Yeah. Oh, I'm going next. Yeah. This was a tent. No. Wow. Congo. I had no idea what I was going in for. I knew there would be monkeys. Gorillas. Thank you. I knew that they would be, it was a test in your pets. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:52:32 I knew that Laura Liddy would be at it. Yeah. Laura Dern. I'm just going to correct everything you say and it will be wrong. And I knew that there would be Tim Curry would have a weird accent. It delivered on all of those fronts. It did. I feel like this movie was sections of fun with like long sections of nothing happening and then something fun would happen and there be like another like let's walk on this mountain for like two days. Mm-hmm. Uh criminally underusing Bruce Campbell is a knock against it. He originally went up for the role of Peter. But they were like, nah, dog, you can't, you can't, you can't.
Starting point is 00:53:14 I'm glad they cast kind of a melancho-sie scientist tho, tho. Yeah, because Bruce Campbellatologist can't be hunky in my opinion. They have to have very, very curly hair also. I'm sure you have at least one primatologist fan who will be sending you a thu, their butt in their face. Who's not hunky now? No, no dick picks. Buts are fine. Uh, Alan takes to social media.
Starting point is 00:53:42 I'm so sorry. Send it to Scarewolf Ambulins at Butts. to Google. All of your butt picks, please. Uh, I'm going to give it a four. Geez. Wow. Nice. I love this movie.
Starting point is 00:53:59 I do. It's really fun. It's so stupid. Did you see when you were young? Okay, yeah, I feel like that. And again, a couple years ago, and then again now. I don't remember why I watched it a couple years ago. I think Rob wanted to watch it, because he was thinking about his Congo watch from Burger King.
Starting point is 00:54:13 I love this movie. I'm giving it a seven and a half. Oh, wow. Yeah, I love it. Yeah. love every moment of it except the boring parts but I just kind of zone out. Yeah I mean I loved it too. I really loved it but I don't give anything a 10. That's fair. But or a five. I'm extremely critical. That's fine. I mean this is a movie to be critical of, but it's beautiful. I'm just imagining you walking into your dining room and Rob's just like staring off at a point on the wall and like, hey, but what's going on? You're saying about my Congo watch?
Starting point is 00:54:48 Yeah. That's probably how it happened. He was in, just like me in the middle distance. What happened to his watch? What happened to his watch? I don't know. I'll ask him. So along with Saviiii. I'll go watch watch. I wonder if I can find one on eBay. What if you come on? I find one for his birthday. Probably on Etsy, someone's making their own artisanal tongue watch.
Starting point is 00:55:08 What if you go home and one is like wrapped around your baby's wrist? Oh God. I'm sleeping with a cong. He's found it. He's found it. I think I would probably lose to be. That'd be very uncomfortable. Yeah, I probably shouldn't put a wristwatch on a baby. Babies don't need watch. Maybe she can't help. I think I had nowhere to be.
Starting point is 00:55:27 It's time. Just take her when she has to go. No buses to catch. Uh, Lena, do you have anything that you want to talk about with the fans, get them hyped on? Anything that youes who look the same. I think they, we don't have enough of them in the world. If you know of any blonde actresses, please. I feel like, yeah, like, there's a real shortage of blonde.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Please let us know. What's she doing? Being, being a baby Laurelini, though. Yeah, Veronica, very tiny. Yeah. Yeah, so like blonde actresses I love them they're great not enough of them. Good plug. Super shortage in this world. Good plug. I'm glad you're sticking up for an underrepresented minority. Yeah I mean I'm in sort of scholar. Shirley Starron really needs our help. Yeah, that bitch. Yeah, no. Just kidding she's great. Starting point is 00:56:27 But they were like, let's, you be ugly and then you can win an Oscar, you know? Wait, she was Eileen Warnos, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'd love that you know that serial killers name. I know a lot of serial killers names. Yeah. So no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, to tha, no, tha, no, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, tha, than, than, tha, tha, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. was worse than this one. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fucking Birdbox was worse than this.
Starting point is 00:57:07 Yeah, I agree. This is a better movie than Birdbox. I don't have Facebook, so I missed Birdbox. Yeah. And I saw it like two weeks ago. And I was like, what's that. hole or perhaps a bird box. A bird box. Yeah, don't bother. I'm not going to. Yeah, that's all I feel about it. Alan, what are we doing next week? We're doing a movie called Let Sleeping Corpses Lie. Or Living Dead at the Manchester Morg. Or don't open the window.
Starting point is 00:57:38 You say something about windows, yeah. It's a lot of idioms. Yeah. And then it has a name in Spanish and a name in Italian. Nice. What are they? Let's sleep in corpses lie. But in Spanish. It's free on Amazon. It's also on YouTube, if you want to watch it at one and a half speed. I may or may not have.
Starting point is 00:57:59 I will let you guess. But it's a zombie movie. We haven't done a zombie movie movie movie movie movie movie while. Yeah, like at least four or five weeks. Just kidding. We haven't done a badly dubbed movie in a very long time. Yeah, it's true. Oh, speaking of quick shout out. And then I watch it and I was like, am I funny? I don't know. I'm just screaming. I'm just screaming. I'm just screaming. I'm just screaming. Is the music in the background? Yes, along with us saying witch over.
