I was going to say his mouth is perfect. I'm sorry to get weird here, but like it is fucking perfect. Tear, Boy Street, wannabeas, must have Tim Curry mouth. I get that Tim Curry mouth. Oh my god, he's such a treasure. I mean, who in this movie is not a treasure? You know, I realize that my like top five favorite movies Clue and Spinal Tap both right so Michael McKean must be my favorite actor. I love him. I love him. I love that he's both Mr. Green and David St. Hubbans, patron saint of quality footwear. He shows up in the Good Place at one point and I get so excited. Yeah. Yeah. Like oh man I think he was great. But you've got Madeline Khan? Madeline fucking Khan. You know what's crazy about her is that she never thought she was funny? She like didn't understand why people thought she was funny. Really? But what she does with her face is like, I'm so fucking jealous of it. I will never be able to deliver comedy like Madeline Khan does and she didn't even think she was fucking funny. That ad libbed speech near the end of the movie? Christopher Lloid. I was going to say everybody loves Christopher Lloyd. And then I looked at his Wikipedia page and he's on his fifth wife. So I guess not everybody. Those other four still love him. I just can't live with him. They were like 12 to 15 years each. OK. I also did not appreciate her when I watched this movie as a child. Oh sure, because she's all like subtle, huh? Yeah, and everything. Staring at a, uh, Yvette's tits. They should have gotten their own credit. Apparently, like, reading about this movie, like, she wore a French maid's costume to get the roll. Oh, nice.

And the, I can't remember who is casting it. But they were like, I mean, she was pretty good, but come on. I think her French accent is really funny whenever she goes, Mundial. Fucking leaving the lead vocalist of fear is Mr. Body. So bad. It's like, they got all these like really great, engaging, charismatic actors, and then they got him and whoever's playing with Cook. They gave her one line and she fucking blows it. Oh, that's Kelly Nakahara. She blows it. You'd one line Mrs. Ho. I love it. Leaving half of his dialogue is 80-yard. Oh, you can tell too. It's like, it's shot in a different room. Bill Henderson is great as the cop. Fucking Jane Weedland is the guitar player of the Go-Go's So good. Singing telegram.

She's on the screen for like 10 seconds. Yeah, she says, I am the singing telegram. And there's a gunshot fired and a door slams, and that's it. And then Howard Hesman is the chief of the FBI police. Oh, okay. Who was Johnny Fever on WKRP in Cincinnati? I did not know that. But you're missing Leslie Ann Warren, who is like, so fucking funny in this movie.

She's amazing. This is so funny. Do you know who had that role previous to her? No. Carrie Fisher got out of rehab four days before this movie was supposed to film. Oh, no. But Eileen Brennan had just gotten out of rehab not long before this movie because she got addicted to pills from a back injury. Oh God. It's such a shame. Yeah, but she, for some reason she was cool. We were like, you're fine. You're not Carrie Fisher. Oh boy. I don't think I would have loved Carrie Fisher in that role. I mean, I guess I would have if I'd seen it, you know. I don't know, I've never seen her as like, as that character. Right. She's always so like, um. She's the mom in the burbs or Princess Leia. Sure. She's like a tough. Not that Mrs. Carlet isn't is is is is is is is is is is is is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. C. C. C. C. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think there's like, I don't think Madam. Right, exactly. So this movie, I always have loved the clue board game, right? And I'm super fucking good at it and I will. At our next live show we're gonna have a clue tour. I will beat every last one of you. Anyway I saw this movie like in TV Guide or something when I was maybe 10 years old and I recorded it on a VHS on a whim that's that's a that's a tape for those of you who aren't born yet and I watched that tape like fucking three times a week for maybe eight years. This movie is perfect for a kid.

It's perfect for a kid and it just like has so formed my ideas of comedy. Yeah. Of like this sort of brand of physical comedy that isn't super slapstick but is towing that line and just like. The way the lines are delivered I just think everyone in this is such a, maybe I don't know if they actually are great comedic actors................... th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. th. the th. the th. th. the the th. the th. the the the th. the the th. the the the thi. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. the. t. t way the lines are delivered, I just think everyone in this is such a, maybe I don't know if they actually are great comedic actors or if this is just such a touchstone for me. Like, this is like literally my foundations of comedy that, uh, it just, it feels like so perfect to me. I feel like all these people are really great and this is, if not the peak not far off like Martin Mull was doing like Mr. Mom at this

point in time and like all these like crazy movies where he gets to play like the straight funny man yeah yeah you're right yeah Madeline Khan was just fucking young Frankenstein yeah she's a so good fucking forced her record with I just I like I will never be as funny as her and she didn't even think it was funny it's bullshit such Such bullshit. It's what society does to you man. Every like once a while I like think about the fact that she has passed away and I'm just like oh that's a fucking book. It's a loss. Yeah but yeah I think everybody was just firing on all cylinders. Tim Curry is unreal in this movie.

And just like the slurping gag where they're slurping the soup at the table. like Christopher Lloyd slurps soup, and then Madeline Kahn looks at him with like this just withering disdain and then turns and like daintily puts their spoon to her lips, and I just love it so much. I love the ridiculous long payoff jokes in this, where during the dinner scene, Miss Peacock gets her favorite dish. I'm obsessed with Miss Scarlet's collar in that opening scene where she's got that like huge collar that's basically like a halo four feet above her head. It's fucking perfect. Her clothes are so good. How does she even sit down in that dress? Slowly. Yeah.

So this is a send up of Egg of atha Christie mysteries and the cat and canary and all that sort of stuff. Have you ever seen, I'm sure I've talked about this before, Neil Simons murdered by death? It's basically this movie. Okay. Except it's got like Truman Capote and David Niven and Columbo and a lot more racism. Yeah. But like that racism feels true to Agatha Christie.

Sure, oh sure. But so, but I love Agatha Christie and I love all like that stuff. So having like this movie be a send up of that was really fun. Yeah. I got to do my Laura Linney at the beginning of this. I'm really glad you got to do that. I like that you were confused and you were like, oh, I got, I got to. And then I just want to talk about her titties. Poor Laura Linney.

It's so good. While that line is being delivered, we're seeing an image of like a huge mansion. And there's like a lightning bolt behind it and the sound effect goes, wee! And then it does it again. Because if one gag is good, two is literally the best thing ever. I feel like this is very in tune with young Frankenstein and that like that era of no-it-

I'm sorry, I'm getting very excited. No, you should be. This is so fucking funny. And I also love like the little like nerdy shit, like the cars they all show up in, the colors match their game pieces. Oh, I didn't notice that. I've never noticed that. That's awesome. I love that.

And that's really cute. And what do you do? I buttle, sir. I buttle. I love when Michael McKean is standing outside and Tim Curry yells, sit down. Why is that so funny? It is. It's so silly.

So silly, but it's so funny. Oh, fucking Mrs. Peacock's reactions to Yvette's boobs are the greatest thing in this movie. For the first like 15 minutes of this, everyone is just like chin down in her tits. Christopher Lloyd, I was like, I don't know if he's acting. I don't think so. I think Christopher Lloyd is a titty man. There's their next shirt. And then we get sued. He's like, I'm an ass man.

Right, and he gives them all present, which inside is one of the game pieces from Clue. The rope and the lead pipe and the revolver. I love it so much. Apparently the drink might be poisoned. Yeah. Don't true the cognac just in case. In case of what? Is it throw back to Cludo?

Also, we fail to mention that Tim Curry's back story is that he was forced to be a butler from Mr. Boddy because his wife had friends who were socialists. They worked for him for free. I feel like that would play really well in today's political climate. Yeah.
