Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 241- Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)

Episode Date: August 12, 2019

In this week's episode, we get nostalgic for the 90s and for Luke Perry in the 1992 film "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Special topics for your consideration include: Allen possibly outing himself as a s...ociopath, demanding that Delaware do better by its teens, trying to figure out Pike's deal, Pee-wee's raw deal and remembering some actors as...well, better than they actually are.  Are you into vampire comedies? You may enjoy Episode 195- "What We Do in the Shadows." You should probably also check out Episode 89- "Queen of the Damned" for its sad, unintentional humor. Starting point is 00:00:00 Kitty. Alan. I'd like to welcome you to our rock block of movies named after ladies. Oh, I like it. Maddie and Buffy. Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Can I read you my first note? Sure. 1992, the year our precious Allen graduated high school. I thought that this was your senior year. I was thinking you are Buffy. Yeah. I am Buffy's sonnets. I think unfortunately I am Benny. David Arquette? Yeah. Yeah. Well the problem with that is that Luke Perry is like 27 in this movie. I think unfortunately I am Benny. David Arquette. Yeah. Well, the problem with that is that Luke Perry is like 27 in this movie.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Sure. I think he was concurrently playing a high school student in a TV show. I mean... In one of the most popular TV shows of the time. I never watched a single episode of Beverly Hills 90210, but I definitely had like a Beverly Hills 902 pencil case because all the other girls watched it. Sure. I watched the bucket of that. Did you? Yeah. You like it? Yeah. I mean I watched the buck, I watched the bucket of that. Did you know, you like it was great. It was good, it was good, it was back in the day when there weren't a tonne of chants. Choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices choices. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Cha. Cha. Cha. Cha. Cha. Cha. Cha. Cha. Cha, I, I, I, I, I, I, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I watched, I watched, I watched a cha, I was, I was, I was, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I was, I was, I was, I was, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched, I watched a, I watched a, I watched a, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, I watched, I watched a, I watched a, I watched a, I watched a, I watched know, yeah, a lot of Fox TV shows.
Starting point is 00:01:25 A lot of Fox. 92, you're looking at some X-Files, you're looking at the Simpsons? Sure, sure. Yeah, oh yeah, for Shizzle, for Shizzle. Phrushel. 92, for Shizzle so works. That actually might be later. This movie is just so quintessentially in the 1990s.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Everything about it. Like, even just that it opens on a full song and dance, like they're doing the cheerleading routine, and they just keep doing it. They do it forever. They do it forever! Keep it coming. The song is Keep it Coming.
Starting point is 00:02:00 And they shake their tail feathers at you. Yeah. Well, it opens on ye old-timey, Christy Swanson and Donald Sutherland. So in my mind, before, I hadn't seen this movie since I was probably a young teen. As I mentioned last week, my nonna love this movie. And so we would watch it quite often when I was young. I, in my mind, I was like, why didn't Christie Swanson work more? Oh, she did. Did she?
Starting point is 00:02:26 She was on a ton of movies around this time. Really? She was in a, I can't remember the name of it. It's like a car chase movie, that's her. Charlie Sheen. And Reagan Rollins is in it. That is the only thing I've ever seen her in some other stuff. All right. But the answer is she's not very good. Oh yeah, no, no, no. She's like, she has like the physicality,
Starting point is 00:02:47 like to be this role, like she's in great shape, and I think she's actually doing some of those gymnastics stuff. For sure. But like, she's not very good at all. No, the emoting portion of the acting. No. No. Same with Luke Perry, honestly. He's very charming at some points and then at other points I'm like, are you here? Did you sign up for this today? I mean, in his defense, there's not a lot of pike.
Starting point is 00:03:14 There's not a lot to that guy. I think he's very deep. I think he's just supposed to be like a dill weed. But he comes around. I love when he comes his hair back into the Luke Perry and you're like, oh there you are. Shame off the soul patch. Thank God. Look if you have a soul patch don't anymore. As a former have her of a soul patch. Did you? Oh come on. Come on. No Alan. How could I have seen that coming? Did I have a goatee? Of course I did. Was it a long gotee? No, please don't say that.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Did you put rubber bands in it? Did you put rubber bands? Just for funs. Oh no! Did I have a chin strap beard? You know what I did? I know you did. No, I know you did.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Fullain. Have I had just mustache? Really? Yes, I have. I don't think I like that. No, I look like my dad. Eee. When you can grow facial hair as well as I can, you're going to go through all the modes until you end up on just full sannicles. Until you just let it go. Sex pervert santa clas with your bleached hair. I don't like this one. Don't stop fucking bleaching your hair then. The funny thing when I bleached my hair in the 90s, it was definitely like, my hair was
Starting point is 00:04:26 like a quarter inch long and I was bleaching it. Yeah. Now it would just be, I think it would just be too much. And of course it would. Yeah. Yeah. I'd have to start dealing drugs. Never too late.
Starting point is 00:04:40 So many people are like, you're like, oh, are going to be like, you holding? You're like, oh my god, no. I guess. Like, I'm holding this dog's leash. I'm walking my dog. I'm wearing shorts and flip-flops. I love the Chiron that comes on the screen. That's just like Southern California. The Light Ages. I like it. I like that.
Starting point is 00:04:58 This would be incredibly witty, in my opinion. This is Joss Whedon, it's most Jawsweetening. Yeah. This made him a Brazilian dollars too, this whole thing. This put him on the map. Yeah, yeah, for sure. This is like our fifth David Arquette. Can you fucking believe that? Two screams? Ravinous. Was he in Ravon? Yes, he was. And um. Something else. I'll look it up while we talk. When it, when we get Southern California the Light Ages, they're at the mall. Because that's where you went. And I was like, holy shit, that's fucking Hillary Swank. Yes, that's fucking Hillary's like, there's a lot of people in this movie.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Yeah. But I've never, she Hillary Swank as like in the funny movie. No, no, she's always a million dollar baby. Or boys don't cry. We're still crying. Oh God, that fucking movie. The most unfunny movie of all time. The least funny movie that has ever been. But yeah, she's really great in this.
Starting point is 00:05:56 And it's kind of like, oh. No, but she's very funny. Well, I am not going to make it through all of David Arquette's IMDB credits here, so you're just going to have to take my word that I think there's another one. I'm sure there is. We've done 241 of these. It seems logical that David Arquette would be in some of them. There's also th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus tho- thus. thus. thus. tho-I tho-I tho-I tho-I tho-I tho-I tho-I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi. the. the. thee. theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. the. the. ette would be in some of them. There's also a Seth Green in this movie. No he's not. He's briefly and he's like one of the vampires in one of the scenes. You're kidding. I love Seth Green. Ben Affleck? Ben Affleck is in this movie? What are you talking about? He's the basketball player. He's full on-on-screen when the, the browlzy vampire is... days and confused? Yes. Is playing basketball he gets in Ben Affleck's face. Oh oh he's the one who gives him the ball? Exactly. That's Ben Affleck. Yes. I would not have, I did not catch that. I've seen this movie of Brazilian Times. Ricky Lake is a waitress. What? Yeah she's a waitress in one of the
Starting point is 00:06:59 scenes. Interesting. I watched her child birth.. I watched Ricky Lake give birth. It's actually very well done. It's very good. I'm sure I have no doubt. It's very good, yeah. That's very good, yeah. It's how Ricky Lake's tits is what I'm saying. I love him in everything.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And Alexis Arquette is the DJ Vampire. Yes, that I didn't know. And Stephen Root is also th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi-I, thi-I-I. thi-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I. thii-i-i-i-i-i-i-in'a. thi-in'a-in'-in'-s. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th-s. Oh, th-s. Oh, th-s. Oh, th-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-sa-sa-sa-woo-wo-wo-wo-sa-wo-sa-sa-sa-s. I-s-s. I-s. I didn't know. And Stephen Root is also in this movie. Yeah, I love him in this movie. I love him in everything. I love him in everything. He's one of those actors are like in he shows up and he's like, he's one of those actors are like in he shows up he's like. He's like. He's one of those actors are like in he shows up you just like. It's like. It's just got better. Yeah, I thr. It's. It's. He. He. He. He. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's. He's one. He's. He's. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He's. He's. He's. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's one. He's better. Yeah, I agree. He'll always kind of be Milton from office space to me. Sure. Yeah. But he's one, like, I remember him showing up in an episode of Nightcourt. Oh, really? He played, I think, I want to say he played the devil in an episode of Nightcourt. Oh, very good.
Starting point is 00:07:58 But other famous people in the filming of this film. I think you two were just getting closer together. Yeah, it's true. It's still hot though, still like kind of hot. Just dressed like shit. Yeah, dress like shit. That's how I like them though. Peehermint.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Pee, huh? ruined for such a stupid fucking thing and it's bullshit. Oh, do what you're supposed to do in the place that he was doing it? Right, yeah. Everyone thinks he's like a sex pervert. But he wasn't, he's just took it off in a porn theater. That's fine, you're allowed. Apparently you're not thou'd. Uh, Rour, your guy? Uh, R, R-I-H-H, R, R, R, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. th. It's. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th.. Oh my god yeah, yeah. It seemed like a good guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he was on a show that I'll never watch. Riverdale? Not gonna watch that show. Oh that's a show? Yeah, it's like a gritty reboot of the Archie comics. Oh yeah, yeah, I think I do know about
Starting point is 00:08:57 that. I get confused because there's also like some sort of product in Pittsburgh called Rivendale. Oh the ice cream? Is it ice cream? They're always like advertising during Pirates games and I don't know which is which so now that makes sense. Okay. One of them's ice cream and one's gritty Rubin of the Archie Comics. Yeah, but which is which which is which Alan how will I know? I will know? Tell me more. And Christy Swant as everyone knows, in all the movies. I don't think that's true. I'm going to look her up real quick. Don't worry. What is that movie called that she's in with Charlie's Chase? The Chase. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:30 You kidnapped me with a candy bar? That's all I remember from it. Oh, she was in Simone in Ferris attic. Yes, yes, yes. She was a woman named Christy Bonner and Dude Where's My Car? Apparently she's in something called Jessica Frost? Don't take this the wrong way. Have you seen Dude Where's My Car? Yes. Can I tell you about a drinking game we used to play in college?
Starting point is 00:09:59 It was drink every time they say dude. And then, then vomit. Holy shit. And then play again. Puke rally play. Your college experience was much different than mine. Yeah, it's amazing. I graduated, honestly. I also didn't go to college. You didn't you briefly?
Starting point is 00:10:16 I mean, it's like, yeah, I've been to England. I was just in the airport for a couple hours of a deal. Gotcha. I ain't learn't learn learn learn learn learn th- You this, you, you, you, you this, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you nothing about that. So this, you guys know the premise of this movie. It's very Harry Pottery. This girl finds out that she's magical and that she is going, she has to protect the world from vampires. I feel like this is also a very 90s conceit for girls that like, maybe there's something magical about you and you just don't know it yet. Like the craft, when you thought maybe you could be a witch, you just had to find your other three. You just didn't know yet. I feel like that was a running theme of 90s movies. I feel like it's also a really well-handled, like
Starting point is 00:10:56 you're gonna grow apart from your friends. Yeah. Like it's actually- like isn't just this vapid, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. Like, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, like, like, like, like, likethis vapid, yeah. You're gonna get deeper and different and change and your interests are gonna change and I really appreciate that about this movie that's like, oh fuck, that's an actual, legit life lesson this movie is teaching you. Yeah. Because it's handled with like, empathy. It's graceful, yeah. And also she's right and they're wrong. Oh sure. A lot of the the tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha thuuuuuuuuuuuu thu thu thiii thi thi thi thi. thi thi. thi. thi thi. that's that's that's that's that's that's a that's that's a that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's right. thi. the. the. theat. theat. theat. the. theat. theat. that's right right right right. that's right. gets to win. No, no. A lot of denim jackets. Sure.
Starting point is 00:11:27 The opening scene of them in the mall, they're all wearing denim jackets. I like that a lot. I like that ugly yellow jackets that they're fighting over. I like that one of them gets killed wearingto wear it. I also love that this is definitely too late for that like Valley Girl way of talking. Yeah. But it's still like, like now it would just be all, if they redid it would just be all vocal fry like. Yeah, well I don't want to hear about that.
Starting point is 00:11:59 I do love the self-help basketball coach. Who's telling, keep selling them to actualize, search your personhood. That's just making fun of California, right? Yeah, yeah. But like look how that came around, you know? Just be the ball, you know, just like, it's really funny. Actualize, actualize. I also love that the basketball guys say slam dunk when they hi-fi. Why? S slam dunk. No, that's a high-five. Also, none of them can dunk, you know it. No. There was a movie about that. Yeah. We're on the same time, I think, yeah? Well, not too distant from. It's a, it's called, um, above the rim.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Yep. A lot of people don't know what we're talking about and they're like, why are they having this private joke and just giggling about it? It's funny, good jokes. Jokes for everyone. So there's a scene where they're in a movie theater. Yeah. And Buffy and her boyfriend start making out after they've eaten popcorn. And that made me want to puke.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Wait, why? Just the idea of two people with popcorn kernels in their mouth, like tongue kissing? What do you mean in their mouth? You don't swallow it? Dude, when you eat popcorn, that shit lingers. It does not go immediately away. What you talking? the popcorn? the popcorn? the popcorn? to? the popcorn? th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi? thi? thi? to, thi? thi? to. thi? thi? thi? thi. to thi? to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to. to to. to., do you? No, but your teeth are in your mouth. Your mouths are interlocked. But anything, okay, we're not gonna get into this. This is getting very weird.
Starting point is 00:13:31 So you like go on movie dates and someone tries to kiss you, you're like, oh fuck no. Get your popcorn mouth out of here. I'm 45 years old. I'm talking about the past. the past. the past. the past. the past. the past. the past. th. th. th. to. to. to th. th. th. th. th. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah.ing about past hours. You want to go make out the movie thing there. There's nowhere else to do it. Yeah, but we got to go like 2pm because that's when I get my AARP discount. You wish you got an AARP discount. You'd be using it to see midsummer. It's so sad. Speaking of eating gross things, did you like that at one point, Jeffrey was eating a bag of Doritos light? What is that? I did not notice that. Did not know that existed, but apparently it did. Oh, that's so gross. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Light Doritos? In what world? Buffy's town is being attacked by the dandiest, vampire the dandiest vampire of all time. Rucker Howar, Lothos. Yeah. Where do you come down on him on the handsome factor? Not so much. Okay, mm-hmm, just not my style. Sure.
Starting point is 00:14:34 I can, I can see it for others. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But he does not strike me as like a Dracula type vampire., he's not sensual. No, he's like ruggedly handsome for sure. I got you on that. Yeah, he's not pretty. But like the little like John Waters mustache and like the very feathery hair. It's 1992, not in 1984. I think it's a very big difference. But it's working on Christy Soansen I guess. Yeah, she's feeling it. Well, those vampires, they got that sensuality that you just can't resist it. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the, th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the thi, the the thi, the the the the. the the the the the the the the the the thi the thi thi, thi, thi, th feeling it. Yeah. Well those vampires they got that sensuality that you just can You can't resist it. It's interesting because it's not really explained how he has any power over her but he just does Yeah, he's been fighting her for centuries right her wearing like a long red curly wig and having a big hairy mole What I really appreciated is there's a there's an exchange between what is his name Merrick? Marrick Jamison Smythe and Buffy where he's? And? And th, and he, and h, and h, and h, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and having, and they, and having, and th, and their, and th, and having a th, th, th, th, th, their, th, th, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the, the, the the the, the, the the, the the the the the the the the the the the the they's their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their their thi thi's their thi's their their thi's their their their their their their, the his name, Merrick, Jamison Smythe, and Buffy, where he's like, do you have dreams where you're a, you know, like a slave girl and all this? I'm like,
Starting point is 00:15:34 thank you for not showing slave girl. Yeah. Because he was definitely like, you were a slave girl in Virginia and I was like, oh, no, I don't do it. Don't do it. And they didn't. They didn't. This movie is very light. It is very light. This is also totally not a horror movie. Why are we doing this? Oh, some vampires are attacking people. Mm-hmm. We're doing Twilight next week. Can we? Of course.
Starting point is 00:15:55 I would 100% do. It's true. It's true. Have you tuned into this this podcast? I know you're still hung up on Return of the Living Dead. Someday we're going to come back to it. Someday. You were way more hung up on look. I fucked up. I'm still hung up on the reanimator. I should have warned you. I should have warned you. to warn to warn you. I to warn you. I to warn you. I to to to to to. I to to to to to to to to to to to to that. I that. I the the that. What do you think about the ozone layer? Yeah, we got to get rid of that. Oh, she's so vapid. Cafe Blase, that's where they're hanging out. Cafe Blase. It's so good. Oh, it's so silly.
Starting point is 00:16:41 So, okay, so, Luke Perry and David Arquette, are they drifters? No, they're crunch kids. But where? They're like homeless grunge kids. Okay, so they're drifters. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Who come their hair forward until they want to be handsome.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Yeah, it's such a bad look. We all suffered from it at that point, thin. Yeah, yeah. Pike isn't a name, it's a fish. All right, there's no way Buffy Summers knows that that's a fish. Strongly agree. Because it's not a fish that ends up on your plate. No, no, I don't even know what pike is for. What is it for? They're just a fish, they're real teethy. What are they doing for?
Starting point is 00:17:18 They're just swimming around the goddamn likes and shit. Why do they th th th th th th th they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they're just they just they just they just they just they just they just they're just they're just they're just they're just they they they they they they they they they they just they just they're just they're just they're just they're just they're just they're just they're just they just they just they just they just they just they just they just they just they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're just. Why they're just they're just they're just they're just thi. Apex Predator. Me. The omnivores dilemma. Not for me. So there's like a browsy basketball player? The guy from Dazed and Confused. He just has... I really love his eyebrows. I find it extremely attractive. There's like two just like dainty lobes of red. I want to just like roll around in those eyebrows. I also think he's very funny. Sure. In this movie and that. But I don't think he's done a whole lot else.
Starting point is 00:17:57 I don't, I don't see those brows elsewhere. I have not seen dazed and confused either. Oh, that's right. We should really just watch it for fun. Just as friends watch it for fun. Just his friends watch a movie. I think you'd like it. Probably.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Party at the Moon Tower. Oh, what they're talking about like, like, they're talking about like. they're talking about. Yeah. And so they's like, he's like, their, their, their, their, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. to-a. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. to-. to-. to-. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. to-a. th-a. th-a. th-a. th-a. t-a. the-a. tod-a. toda. the-a. the-a. toda. the-a. toda. the-a. toda. toda. that too. Yeah, I think that's really his hair. Yeah, because when he was arrested for masturbating in a place you're supposed to masturbate, yeah. It would be like being pulled off the road for driving while dry, like on the road in a car, licensed. It just fucking sucks. It does. The man like shaped my childhood and is not a bad guy.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Yeah. Even though if you watch if the the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first. Is it? They're put on shoe mirrors. Oh. The first special? The HBO special of Peewe Herman. Oh, I've never seen that. Yeah, it's like a, it's, yeah. It's not super purvy, but it's pretty pervy. Yeah. Well, fuck it then.
Starting point is 00:18:57 But like, then movies, come on. Unfuck withable. Honestly, Peewe's Big tap-Avie is a perfect film. Absolutely perfect. I even stand by Big Tup-Bee we have not seen it for 20 years. Valerie A gullino? Yeah. Do in that accent?
Starting point is 00:19:16 Is that is her accent. She doesn't rain man? Yeah, she's in rain man. She's a love interest. Oh, I don't remember. I think that's actually how she talks. Okay. Okay. It seems like somebody making fun of that accent. I know. So he gets, he gets abducted by Paul Rubens. And the cops are talking about it later, or someone's talking about it on the news or something. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that, that, th. Yeah, I'm really gross hicky. I love how like even the news people are absurd.
Starting point is 00:19:57 You know what I mean? They're all like Valley Girl News people. They're all like Ballyish, but they're all like they're all like they're all like they're all like, they're all like, they're all like, but they're all like, but their, but their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi thi. And thi. And thi. And thi. And thi. And thi. And thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th and th and th and th and thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. And thi. And thi. And thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi an accent sometimes and not other times. He's a little British. I'm little British but also like not British all the time. Mm-mm. He ain't got time for that. Can I tell you what I think is a great nighties look? Hmm. Sports bra lettrumens jacket.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Sure. Sure. Very TLC. Yes, that's why I like it. You're 100% right. It's extremely chilly. chilly. Chilly, yeah, for sure. Chilly. So then Benny gets killed, who is Pike's best friend, who is David Arquette. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:35 And he becomes a vampire in a very, I think, homage to the Lost Boys and to Salem's lot when he's outside the window asking to get let in. What about the Lost Boys? When Michael is outside the window and he's like let me in let me in. Oh that's right yeah yeah and his brother's yelling at your butts sucking freak at him and all that task. You're floating, yeah. Yeah. Is he even our cat wearing a dangly earring? Yeah. It might actually be. And actually be. And it looks very handsome with it, as everyone does who wears tangl earrings. I think that's just really, really, really wrong. I think it's just really wrong.
Starting point is 00:21:09 You know we disagree about dangly earrings. You know what bummed me out was having to cut, I still believe, out of that episode? I like that you just associate dangly earrings with a lost voice. Yeah, that's why Rob doesn't like that movie. Can't stand dangling earrings on men. He's wrong. Those dudes have the best fashion sense. If I could pull off that look, definitely would. It's too late. Yeah. For you, in ti. In the time, in time and for you. Yeah. And in the season to wear that many jackets. Oh yeah, I'm a the jeean jacket. I'm even. I even. I even. I the the the the the the the the the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. Oh yeah, I see. Why do you keep so many cutips in your gym locker? I don't know Christy Swanson does. Is she just cleaning her ears there? I find that very weird. You know you're not supposed to put those in your ear? I know. You know, you're not supposed to put thin. I'm not, people. to. to. to. to. to. to. to, the, to, the, the, to, the, the, the, the, to, to, the, the, the, I. the, I'm their, I'm their, I'm their. their. their. their. their, why, I'm their. their. their. their. their, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why. All right, well, anyway.
Starting point is 00:22:06 I'm doing it right now. Oh my god, I wish you wouldn't. Also, you have headphones on. I love the dream sequences that Buffy keeps having of where she goes and just lays down on Rutger Howe. They have a really delightful dream-like quality to them that works. Yeah, and it's interesting that he like, because he doesn't really have much to do in this movie, but he in the dream sequences, it's like, oh, he is actually running the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's all behind the scenes. Because at the beginning of the movie, he's coming back to life, basically, like, they're using the blood to reanimate............ And, the, the, the, the, the, the, to, th. And, th. And, th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi, thi, the, the, the, the, the, thi, thi, the, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. And, the. the. to, to, to, toe. toe. toe. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. he always has like sparkling black gloves on too.
Starting point is 00:22:45 But there's a lot of things in this movie that are just completely unexplained too. Like Merrick seems to live in an abandoned hotel ballroom? Where is it? Why? It's right in the training montage. Yes, I love that training montage though. I extremely love it. Obstacle Course montage, always a fucking good move. Uh, Cartwheel montage, that is definitely not the actress that you're watching. Oh, no, that part is not. She has a completely different body shape than Christy Swanson. Man, Christy Swanson is buff in this movie, though. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:19 You never fucks with the TV show, right? Uh-uh. I've never seen with the TV show, right? Uh-uh, I've never seen it. I think it's something I always mean to get into, because I think I would probably enjoy it. I think you would. Yeah, you watch it? The whole thing. Uh, not the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:23:29 I'm working my way through it still. the whole thing. Where are you? Where are?? I'm, I, the, the, the, the, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, the. I'm, the. I'm. I'm. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th-a. th-a. th-a. th-a. I'm with the big brow. Yeah, bones. Bones. Bones. Bones. Yeah. Is that guy ours?
Starting point is 00:23:49 Is he from here? I think he's ours. Oh, I don't know. I don't know. Let me look it up. Yeah. I'm going to look at Bones. I wish I coulded it like. David Porianis. I know he's from Philadelphia, so yours.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Yours not ours. Gross. Him and Gritty. I mean if you're going to have claims to fame, should be Gritty and David Boreanus. I don't know if I'm saying it correctly. I assume I'm always correct. Hall and Oates, Boreanus, Gritty. Philadelphia, you got Will Smith. Roots? You got Bill Cosby.
Starting point is 00:24:26 What's this? Mm-hmm. See, hey, hmm. Whatever, I have Michael Keaton. So Buffy gets informed that she is the chosen one. She has to beat the vampires, training montage, she is down. She really gets into the idea pretty quickly. Yeah. Do you like that her menstrual cramps are a signal that vampires are nearby? 100% do you like that? Yeah, I really do. I think if I had menstall cramps, they seem pretty awful and I'd want them to do something rat. Yeah, they don't really, they are harbingers of other terrible things, not generally vampires. But it's kind of fun because vampires and mensisclamps. strel clamps. That sounds fucking terrible. It's like the world's worst Diva Cup. Oh, you don't use a clamp?
Starting point is 00:25:11 But she, so she gets called into Stephen Roots office who's the administrator and he's given her the business because she's slacking at school. Gary Murray, party guy. And while he's talking to her, she sees a fly flying around, she puts a tack in tack tack tack tack tack tack tack tack tack tack tack tack to tack to the to to the the to their, their, the their, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. It, it, it, it, it, it's, it's their, their, their their their their tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, tape, th' th' thi, the. And while he's talking to her, she sees a fly flying around, she puts a tack in her mouth and nail the fly to the wall. Spits it at it. I fucking loved it. It's so good. Like the fact that she's like, oh I can do all this crazy shit now. How did she get good that fast? Because she got that knife. She's like, oh she already had it within her she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thin, I's, I's, I's a thi, thin'. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, she's, she's, she's a, she's a thi. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thin. thin. thin. toge. thin. toge. toge. toge. toge. I's a ta. I's a ta. Sa it within her, she just didn't know about it. Man, see that's what I'm talking about. I feel like my window is closed for having a cool skill that I don't know about. Because I'm not a teen anymore, or in my 20s, or barely in my 30s.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Like what if I figured out when I'm 60s? And it's like, fuck it's crocheting you know crushing? Oh man I know I got that. Things you can do it. Once I ate so much at sushi buffet I threw up. Did you go back in like you're playing the dudes where where's my car came? That is the time I puked and did not rally. You're gonna eat sushi every time they say dude. It was the strawberry ice cream that put it over the top. Why did I do that? It just went down and came right back up. I know. There are people that listen to the show that really hate puke talk. And we're doing it today. They weren't expecting it. I was just thinking that I could probably do the dude. Where's my car game? It was just in Nari. Just tofu skin over and over again? I thi. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to, to, to, to, to, th. thi. th. th. to, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I the. I think I could do that. Yeah, yeah. I love that shit so much. I'm sure it would kill me because of my blood pressure.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Yeah, I don't think that would be great. So. There's a line in this movie about barfing that I really like, where she's like, remember you drank all that blueberry sch on? Looached. It's so perfect. Let's try to make it come back, okay? Okay, or exist. We were, when I was on vacation recently, and we went into a parking lot to go get bubble tea at a place,
Starting point is 00:27:14 and there was a Mexican restaurant right there, and I was like, oh, there's a little Mexican restaurant. Oh, there's a little Mexican restaurant. ground. All their drink specials were schnapps and I was like, oh that's why there's puke all over the ground. Why does schnaps make you puke? I feel like a lot of times that I've puked it's the fault of schnapps. I think it's like the sweet and the alcohol and your body's like come on. Why would you do this? I don't need that much butterscotch in my life? Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh the peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh. Oh. the peach. the peach. the peach. the the peach peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach peach. the peach. the the peach. the the the the the the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. the peach. want to. What is schnaps? Lechur? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:47 With the E and a U? I think so. Okay, just checking. You're gonna look all over the place. Luge, looch, looch. Like a luchador. You luched all over my mom? I don't remember that line.
Starting point is 00:28:01 It's pretty funny. She's thinking too, eyebrows. But then there's also some very weird choices, like the scene where Peewee's on top of Luke Perry's car or van, and there's like a weird song playing, it sounds like Jesse's girl, but it isn't? What is happening in that scene? There's a lot of songs that was like, I shouldn't know this 90s-era song, but I don't know what this is. It's like Eve 7. Yeah, I feel like they were all made specifically for this. It's like cool asylum. Spange. I loved Sponge. Me too.
Starting point is 00:28:34 I still do to this day. Same. I'll fuck with Molly any day the week. I was about to say, can't. I can't. No, I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I. I. I. I. I'm. I. I'm. I'm. th. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I'm th. th. th. th. th. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. th. I. I. I. I. th. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I.. I..................................................................... can't. No, I cannot. I can't. It's fuck you and your licensing. But I do suggest that you all go listen to that right now. Oh my god, yeah. And then throw plowed on it after it.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Oh, I love plow. Yeah. Oh my god, that'll be in your head all day. And their the album. That's a dumb name for a band. A two-hit wonder. Yeah. They were two and done. Two and done. Spanch, they had a song in the soundtrack.
Starting point is 00:29:10 But yeah, they were just all like weird, like, it was like, uh, Missy was re-watching Felicity. And Felicity lost all the song rights. Oh no. Because they had all like these 90s hits. Yeah. So it would be like Nani Nafranco. Oh no. The same thing happened to Dariah where it had used like 90s music just a great effect. Yeah and then it was just all gone and the new and if you like watch the re-release of it it's like they're disappointing. They did that with Beavis and Buttea they had to take all the music videos out of it. They're they did they did they did they did they did they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they did they did they did they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they to to to to to to to to took. to to took. to to took. to to took. they they they they they they they they they they they they they just want the keys to get the keys. God damn it, Pantera! You'd be nice to your stepmother!
Starting point is 00:29:46 You know what's the best Beavis and Butthead vids and Butthee, the one where they do hum stars and then just the cord rings out and they're like, well that was good, and it just cuts away. Yeah. Oh, the the 90s. It was a better time. I feel like the... It was.
Starting point is 00:30:09 The economy was better. There was so much, so much wasted fabric in your jeans. Yeah. I sent you that article about the guy who wore jinko's for a week. I know he was like, go to like a dinner with her, he had to wear a jacket and was wearing his chains. His wife is so embarrassed. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:30:28 If you, Google, I wore jink goes for a week. I think it's like a vice article? Yeah, it's not from vice, yeah. Yeah. Like, there's a scene, I'm a te. they, though you didn't have to just wear like basically gene leggings all the time as fashion. It's true because like stretched denim wasn't really too big of a thing back then you could just be comfortable. I do to say I've really embraced stretched denim is fucking nice. I know you do.
Starting point is 00:30:54 I'm glad you like it. It's so nice you could lunge so much you could lunge so much. Why are you lunging? Who doesn't lunge? Who th? Who the lung? Who th? Who th? Who th? Who th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th- th-I th- th- th- th- th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like th, like the, like the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, theeat, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi?? A big lunger. Um, do you like that Pewy's arm gets severed? And then they keep making jokes about it? I love that he, like, it's so dumb. He's trying to get Luke Perry. He's on top of the van. He has the strength to punch through the van. And that's it. And he's just reaching, just reaching, just reaching. It's amazing because he's been alive for thousands of years.
Starting point is 00:31:26 And like now you lose a limb to this like bozo in a van. That's also one of my favorite things about any of these like vampire people that have been alive for thousands of years. And then like, like, Queen of the Damned. And you meet them and they're like, oh, I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. And, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. th. Oh, th. And a wiser person than that. Like, why is Paul Rubin's dressed like a biker-dared? I don't know. I feel like if you're immortal, you can go through a lot of fashion phases, but like new metal, you should know better. I forgot that Queen of the Dam was about vampires being into new metal. What the, who fucking made that movie? What the movie? What the, who f-? the the the, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, She, this is not her fault. I blame the way. No.
Starting point is 00:32:07 She doesn't even get to dance. She brought Jonathan Davis into this. She doesn't even get to dance. Oh man. Were you at all invested in Pike and Buffy's relationship? No. I think I was as a child and then watching it now was an adult. I was like, come on. Like, are you really going to dance?
Starting point is 00:32:26 Like where he says, are you calling me a man? Yes, dude, you're 30. Like, why are you asking that? You have a mortgage and you're here with a 17 year old girl, you grosso? I did like the line when they're dancing and he's like, you're not like other girls. She's just, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. tho, tho, thi, thi, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th you're not like other girls. She just goes, yes I am. Yeah, she just wanted to go shopping. Yeah, well I also like, you know, women are pretty magical.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Check them out. Pretty cool. Oh boy. Hey, Alan's PSA. Women, ladies. Check them out. Books, ladies. But I like that there's like, kind of this like little feminist like message tucked away in the movie. At least that's how I took it. No, I think that's fair. This is a good movie for teens to watch. For sure.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Yeah. I can't wait to show this to my teen. Oh my god, she's vicious though with a steak. Just mowing people down with that trolley? Yeah. Ting-ting! Phrush! Ah!
Starting point is 00:33:34 Phahaha! So yeah, like, the love interest thing is like, horse shit. It doesn't need to be in this movie. In my mind, it in this movie. In my mind it was tender. Well, and if you watch the show, it's just a series of bad relationships. Oh, it's just her getting involved. Pike is a bad relationship, you think? You don't think Pike and Buffy can last?
Starting point is 00:33:59 He's 30. He said, how can he just walk into a high school dance? I don't know. Stephen Root was fine with that. How did Merrick just walk into that high school? That is so fucked up. Yeah, I mean, do you think about it, there's just fucking 50-year-old, or Chris, or Chris, we're walking. Donald Sutherland watching her do backflips. Yeah. It's creepy.
Starting point is 00:34:20 It's hel a creepy. It's helicreepy. Yeah. But this movie's so funny. It's so funny. I like when during the basketball game where eyebrows guy is like floating around and just doing whatever he wants and they're like, well he's pretty much abandoned the concept of zones. Just like, I feel like it's written so like cheeky and so well, you know. I thought that was a dig at Teen Wolf. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Because in Teen Wolf, he just like takes the ball and runs down the corner tons. It's true. It's true. So I thought, I was like, oh, that's sly. Can I, um, unpopular, controversial? Oh. I hate Teen Wolf. I don't like that movie. Why is, why is he? What do you mean? I don't know, it's stupid. Is it any stupid as the Back to the Future? I don't know. I see, back to the future for me is so confusing because I can't remember which is the first movie and which is the second
Starting point is 00:35:18 movie because the second movie is so much of the first movie? The first movie he almost fucks his mom. Oh yeah. The second movie is in a movie is, is, is, is a movie is the movie is th. It is f. It's movie is f. It's movie is f. It's movie is f. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. th. th. th. th. thi. It's stupid stupid stupid movie. th. th. the th. the the the the the the the the the the the th. It's stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid. the f. It's is so stupid is so stupid is so stupid is so stupid is so stupid is so stupid is so stupid is so stupid is so stupid is so f. It's is so f. It's is so f. It's the f. It's f. It's f. It's f. It's f. It's f. It's the the the the th. It's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. the the thi. the the the the the the the the in the future. And the third movie is inexplicably a Western. Yeah that one is fucked up with Maristine Bergen. Like in the second movie is like almost entirely the first movie though. Like they keep showing all the flashbacks of the first movie. It's I mean it's been so fucking long. It's it as a kid. I haven't seen it as an adult, and I'm not going to. Because we're going to do it on this podcast. No, thank you. Next week, Teen Wolf for it after toilet. Please don't. We're doing time to back episode in the same episode, Twilight, maybe that'll be our YouTube is just, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I'm, thi. I'm thi. I'm thin, I'm thi, I thi, I'm thi, I thi, I thi, I that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that, I I I that, I I I that, I I that, I I I th. I I th. I I th. I th. I th. I the. I then Twilight. I just want to watch the Twilight movie where she's pregnant with a vampire baby. I see I have only ever seen the first Twilight and I've only ever seen it as a riff tracks. So I don't know. It's a horror movie, right? Dirt bikes are really 90s. There's a dirt bike. There's an abandoned amusement park. There's a lot of hits. A lot of 90s things.
Starting point is 00:36:25 There's a weird animatronic squirrel. It's in the abandoned amusement park. It's just like moving around behind them for some reason. Oh, I didn't even notice that. Yeah, it's very funny. Yeah. It's very funny. I like that, um, when the vampires are showing up at the school, their their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the school, there's a bunch of fog that rolls in before they come in. Imagine if that just went with you wherever you went, like you just walk into Eaton Park
Starting point is 00:36:48 and it's like, I'll have the buffet. Oh man, I tried to do better with my notes this type of like explaining the weird stuff that I was writing where I was like, brows is gonna get it. The one jock has large eyebrows. I like that you were like, just in case I forget. Because I often have notes and I'm like, what the fuck am I talking about? Like this note that says,
Starting point is 00:37:12 an exchange of butts. In exchange of butts. Don't know what that means. I couldn't think there's much smoking in this movie. Mm-mm. I do like that Pike is immediately down with murdering vampires. Yeah, he just gets on board. Because that's how I think I'd be. Oh, we can kill vampires now? Let's do this. You really think so?
Starting point is 00:37:35 Yeah. I feel like I've been waiting my entire life. Yeah. Your whole life has been a training montage for this. That and zombies. I'm just gonna lay down and die. Is that okay? It's fine. Okay. I feel like I could channel all my road rage and it's being like finally I can kill like people adjacent things. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. And I just outed myself as a sociopath. No I think you're okay. Probably. Maybe. Oh, oh. Question mark. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. I t. I tha. I train. I train. I train. I train. train. I train. train. train. train. train. train. train. train. the. No, I think you're okay. Probably.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Maybe. Question mark. Let's get into the greatest part of this movie. Which is it? The absolute best thing that happened in this film. What is it? So good, they have to go back to it at the end. Pee B. Hermann's death scene.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Yes, I thought itthe entire credit sequences were very funny, but yes. Just the idea of like letting him go. Yeah. It's like, you're gonna die, ah, ah, ah, ah, the one point where he just stops and kicks the wall three times. Ah, ah, ah, ah. He's so fucking funny. What is Pee We Herman? Is he just being Peeherman?
Starting point is 00:38:40 Yeah, well, that's good, right? They were working on another movie at some point. I don't think it ever came to fruition. There was a Netflix like Christmas thing, I think. I think so, but I didn't watch it, but I probably should. I think he just does like, uh, like comedy shows and then public appearance. I hope so. I hope he's living off a residual. I'm sure people are still watching that TV show. th show. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I's th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I th. I th. I thi. I thinks so thinks I thin. I thin. I thin. I thin. I thin. I thin. I thin. I thin. I thi. I thi. I thinks I thinks I thinks I thinks I thinks I show. I bought the first season on DVD, PBS playoffs. It's crazy. It's great. It's crazy. It's beautiful in that way that it teaches kids that it's okay to be crazy insane. Just go for it. I remember like at the end you know he would get on
Starting point is 00:39:15 that scooter and it would pull fly. I remember like always being so sad when he got on the scooter because the show was over. Yeah. Sure. I also had a very sad life. Little sparks of happiness, you know. I thought you were going to talk about how it would be real weird just sit in a chair that could talk. Yeah. I'm definitely fart on that guy. I definitely put my like stank ass feet on it, you know, like summer feet. Sorry, Cherry. A purr. Purr. Yeah. But his death scene that goes on for probably two minutes. So funny. It's so fucking funny. And everything just stops to watch him die. And I love that. Yeah. I like the implication that even after the vampires come into the dance, the music is still playing. Like they're just just killing to music. The vampire DJ has taken over for the regular toy. Oh, that's right. That's right. Like the Sarcette step step step step that's that's that's that's the that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. That's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th DJ has taken over for the regular today. Oh, that's right, that's right. Lexusarket steps in and starts teaching.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Yeah, very good. Yeah, it's really funny. I mean, what do you say about this movie? Buffy kills with us and that's the end of the movie. What about his violin? It's a lot of luck. Oh yeah. He's gonna be playing in a new metal band soon anyways. It's true. It's true. All vampires end up in new metal bands. And Buffy sets him on fire with her keen fashion sense, which is a lighter and a bottle of Aquanette. I like a lot. Yeah, she's really bad at delivering lines. I know, it's a shame because the lines that are written for her are so good.
Starting point is 00:40:47 We've talked about it before, like, Pretty will get you so far. Yeah. And she is at the apex of what that's going to be. I know. It was really disappointing to watch this movie and realize she wasn't good. Yeah. Yeah. And like, Luke, like I said, Luke Perry is like, at points charming and then at other points you're like, what? What are you doing? Yeah. Like he brought a flask. He's a 30-year-old man with a flask at a high school dance. Like, take a step back and look at that.
Starting point is 00:41:11 They don't make any bones about him being older, just like, no. Like, I couldn't figure out. to be like a high school dray is he supposed to be a teen I think so yeah yeah he's like lives on his own and is moving town and like works as a mechanic a procedural friend's had moved out of their parents house like their parents had kicked them out when they were 16 lived on their own I'm moved out when I was 17 but I just want to college because I was a brain yeah no no no not really yeah. Yeah. The friends that were living in a basement apartment somewhere. Oh, jeez. Yeah. Yeah. Delaware. Delaware. Do better by your teens? Do you want to rate Buffy? That was such an anticlimactic entrance to the ratings phase? I'm sorry. Could you better? Do you better by your teens? Do you better? Do you better? Do you like to rate this movie? Starting point is 00:42:05 Could you do better, Alan? Do you like totally want to like rate this movie? I like totally to love this movie. Every goddame second of it is a delight. It is perfect. It's a ten for me. It just makes me an ex- It also just has such fond memories of like sitting on my nunna's bed with her watching this movie because she liked it so much. I love that she loves this movie. Yeah. That's so great. Yeah. Also I love the scene where the vampires are all
Starting point is 00:42:32 coming in. They're like they're fine they can't come if you don't invite them and Hillary Swank is like they're seniors. They're seniors. I'm gonna give this movie an eight. Not a ten. Why the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their. Why. Why. Why. Why? their. Why? their. I's. Yeah. Yeah this movie an eight. Not a ten. No, not a ten. Why is it not? Why did it lose to you? It wasn't as good as I remember it being. And I think it's like coming in the realization of like,
Starting point is 00:42:54 oh, Christy Swanson isn't the person you want leading your movie. It's still fine. It's still great for me. It's still good. Yeah. Oh, look at me. I can act. I have a job as an actor. Look at me, I'm better than Christy Swanson.
Starting point is 00:43:12 Yeah. Katie. Alene. Our generous fans have asked us questions as requested. As requested. I'm going to go through a couple of these are quick. Okay. What's the right way to spell Katie and Alan and why is your way the best way? What?
Starting point is 00:43:32 If you're spelling my name, it's a double L-e-en. Oh, I love the saying the double-l-y-yeah. That's really cool. Fuck I wish I had a double letter in my name. And Katie is K-A-T-I-E. That's correct. Why is that the best way? Because it's the commonly accepted for Katie. K-A-T-Y is for children. I'm an adult now, call me Catherine. Just getting done. It's the best way because it's my fucking name. Yeah, I mean I don't feel like I need to defend it. Yeah, no. I mean I'm I'm a the third as well so I've th. I've th. I've the th. I've the the th. I mean, I don't feel like I need to defend it. Yeah, no. I mean, I'm a the third as well, so I've got like lineage behind this spelling. Yeah, a lot of Delawarians.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Just three. And then also your son, Alan the fourth. You should get a dog in Neiman, Marshall, beep, the fourth. I would like that a lot. It's really funny. Can you do that soon? Can you make my joke into a reality for me? I was asking, Missy if we can get another dog and name them after a philosopher. I really want a dog name Albert Dogmoo. No, no, mine's so much funnier. I'm sorry that you think yours is. Here's another name question from a fan. Yeah, when is your next live show? I don't know. It's so scary. It's so scary.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Also, like, what if everybody doesn't come because they already came to one, you know? Yeah, you guys have to tell us that everyone's going to come before we'll start doing this. Yeah, we're going to need RSVPs before we book it. But don't be weird and let us just just be chill. Be chill, but also just like 100% assure us that you will definitely be there and would never miss it for the world. That question was from Robert.girl. And this final question, when did you meet? And what made you realize that you get on so well? Oh.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Love Wolf Ambulance. Oh. That's from David Jenkins 557. David Jenkins 55. I think we met at the Guy Gax tribute game, right? I believe so. Which would have been 2008, I think we met at the Gygax tribute game, right? I believe so. Which would have been 2008, I think he died? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:47 Uh, when did we realize we get along? We started doing this podcast? No. No. How dare you, you monster? Wait, do we even get along? I don't even like you. Just kidding, you're the best. We were friends and then I went to to too? too? to? to? to? to? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi. thi? thi? to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? Starting point is 00:46:05 shitty period in my life and you were fucking amazing to me. I moved you. You moved me and you put me up for nights. Did I? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I slept at your to' a couple times. Oh yeah. Oh that was in your real sad face. See I blocked that out because I always just think of you as being happy Alan. But so you became family to me their. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I th, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I was th. I was th. I was thi, I was th. I was very flatter that you asked me to do this because I didn't think I was very funny I was very funny. What? I know I know I said I was like oh I'm funny I'm a funny. I'm a funny. I thought I was going to be the funny guy. I am but you were fucking hilarious. No that I that I'm that I'm that I'm th. Oh no th. Oh th. Oh th. Oh I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm funny. I just always thought, I was like, oh, I'm funny. I'm a funny guy. You're very funny. I am, but you were fucking hilarious. So it's like, no, you're so funny.
Starting point is 00:46:47 No, you're the funniest. No, you're the funniest. Oh, the funnest. Oh, the funnest. Oh, the to it. Slam dog. Kady. Alan. Do you remember what we're going to do next week? I wrote it down, hold on. Dream Warriors. We're doing Dream Warriors.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Did you forget? Were you really asking me? Nightmare in Elm Street? Three. Dream Warriors. They're all on shutter. So we've done a good nightmare on Elm Street, that being the first one, and a terrible one. The fifth one, I think, where the pregnancy episode? I am certainly not going to announce my pregnancy in this one. We're just going to announce that we have dreams. Dreams?
Starting point is 00:47:34 I don't really dream. Oh, really? A dream? I'm really, thrown. thrown. It's so weird. I like really, really rarely remember a dream. Oh wow, I wish I did. I have some really upsetting dreams that stick with me. Oh, buddy. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Let's talk about it next week. Say we're gonna do Nightmare Nightingalm Street, three, Dream Warriors, get ready for me to fucking gush about docking. I love that. Oh, no. Strapping. It's time. We're going to be rocking. Yeah. With docking. Oh my god, please know. I'm so glad you can't drop it in. We don't own it. You can't do it. Can't be done. So you can find us on Facebook, Instagram, sometimes on Twitter, where all families and
