Starting point is 00:00:00 So like this is what people want us to watch? This is what people want us to see. I mean, I get why. But, oh boy. I still want us to watch. This is what people want us to see. I mean, I get why. But, oh boy. I still want to know if it was people or person. Just like one person made of a bunch of social media accounts on different platforms and inundated us in the course of a week. Either one I love. Sure. Like if you're that dedicated to this that you spent your time doing that?
Starting point is 00:00:37 Yeah, I either love you or I'm terrified of you. Yeah, a little bit of both I think it's a bit like an abusive abusive relationship relationship thus abusive abusive abusive abusive abusive abusive abusive thusi abusive like I th abusive like I th abusive like I th abusive like I th abusive like I th abusive like I th abusive like I th abusive like I th abusive like I think. I think it's a bit like an abusive relationship in that way. I don't like this person anymore. No, no, no. So we're doing Dead Alive, aka Brain Dead, from 1992. Because a bunch of you asked us to, over a very short period of time, we thought there must be something to it. Yeah, there wasn't, it's not like it's any anniversary, the 27th year anniversary. No, it's a big one for th th for Dead Alive. Oh boy. This is a Peter Jackson film. Are you familiar with any of his other work? I think he did the Lord of the Rings movies. In what way? Oh man, did you know that he did like gross out gore movies? Yeah. He did more than just this? Oh yeah, there's a famous movie called Bad Taste that he did that like they shot over multiple years and you can see him age through the movie. Oh boy like boyhood but shitty.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Or like boyhood that I'd watch. Yeah fair. Did you watch boyhood? No. I didn't feel like that was for me. No. That seems like something like, I'm going to do this thing. You go do that thing. I'm proud of you. I'm glad you did that with your like letter. Apparently his next movie is going to take 20 years to film. How old is he?
Starting point is 00:01:57 I don't know. So how did Peter Jackson make the jump from this to like the highest highest highest highest highest highest highest highest highest highest highest highest highest to to to to to to to to the highest to to to to the highest to the highest to to to the highest to the highest to to the highest to to the highest to to to to to to to to to to the jump from this to like the highest grossing film of all time I think or whatever. At least the longest films of all time right? Get those like together combined yeah. I don't know like the exact way that that worked out. Yeah. But I think it's because he had the wetter workshop which is the special effects group that did these movies and then went on to do Lord of the Rings. Okay. And say what you will about like this movie, the fact that for three million dollars they got that much gore on the screen. Oh my god it is so bloody. Yeah and like it never looks it never looks it looks cheap but it's like campy. Yes it's not cheap you're right it's not cheap it's not cheap. It's not cheap. It's not. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like. It's like like like. It's like. It's like. It's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. It's the th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. it's not shitty. You're right, it's campy. It's not cheap. It's not cheap. It's not cheap. It's like they fucking nailed. Whatever they were
Starting point is 00:02:50 setting out to do, they knocked it out of the fucking park. That is a hundred percent true. With puppetry and stop motion stuff. Yes. And just buckets and buckets. I mean I think at this time at the time it was the blood.. the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood blood the blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood blood. It was the bloody bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the bloody the blood blood blood bloodiest movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie. the b blo. the bloo. the bloo. mean I think at this time at the time it was the bloodiest movie ever made. Oh God it's oh my god. Oh my god. I just. This movie has there's no plot to it whatsoever. What it's a romantic comedy. No, no, I'm sorry. No it isn't. Tell that to Paquita. Oh poor Paquita. What is she doing with her life? So this is, this is in my opinion, the original Zom-Romcom. Okay. I think a lot of people will give that to Sean of the Dead because they... Clearly later, clearly later than this, yeah. But they did the zombie and the romcom, like perfectly. Yeah. This is more zombie movie than Romb movie. I mean, their relationship doesn't th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the romcom like perfectly. Yeah. This is more zombie movie than rambi movie. I mean, their relationship doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:03:50 You don't base all of your relationships on tarot cards? Oh, no, I base all my relationships on palm readings. I'm very happy with the choices I've made. And I'm going to live a very long time. Stop showing me your palm. I can see the line. Look at the line. Look at it.
Starting point is 00:04:11 See what it says? It says, get another cat. What? No. Oh, man. So this movie, much like the film Bad Taste is also done in very bad taste. Um, actually, while we were watching this movie, I was laughing very hard at one point, and Rob was not, just not laughing. Oh really?
Starting point is 00:04:33 And I said, you don't think this is funny? And he was like, this is tasteless. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, but it's really funny. Yeah it actually made me question like When does that flip? Like where's the line? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I can tell you it's at about 70 minutes into this movie is where the line flipped for me from being hilarious to just being like oh my god But did it become tedious or were you just like a little bit actually the joy? The joys after a while starts to get sucked out. It's just a lot. It's a lot of look as Tim Gunn would say.
Starting point is 00:05:09 It's a lot of gross. Yes. And there's not a whole lot else to it to focus on, you know? No. No. It's just moving from joke to joke and goer joke. Right. But it's got, it's got, it's got like every poor taste tastastastastastastastastastaste to to to to to to to to to taste taste taste taste taste taste taste taste taste taste taste taste taste to to taste to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to toda. toda. today. today. today. today today the thea. thea. thea thea. thea. thea. thea. to to to to to to to to to to gore joke. Right. But it's got racism. It's got, it's got like every poor taste thing you could want in a movie. That's true. But it's done in a way that I'm just like, ah, there's the fucking around. Look at these guys. It's like, it's probably because I saw this movie.
Starting point is 00:05:37 It was like, to hang your hat on in this movie. It is just absolutely bizarre and silly. Yeah, yeah. They're throwing everything against the wall and literally saying what we'll stick. Yeah. And some of it is just like pink goof. Mm-hmm. So we're following Paquita and Lionel who are a stared lovers. Can I use that here? Yeah. I don't think Shakespeare is going to sue us, if that's what you mean. Who are idiots? Would that be fair to say? Yeah, I think, I mean, but every human person in this movie is very stupid. Why is that, do you think?
Starting point is 00:06:21 I don't know? I guess just to keep with the theme the the the theme the theme the the theme the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the of the of the of, the. the. the. theaqiioue. that's, that's, that's, thiiiiiiiourininione. thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiourininininininininininthia......a.a.a.a.a. Te. T. T. T. T.a. T.ea.ea.ea.ea.ea.ea.ea.ea.ea.ea.ea.a. t.ea.ea.a.ea.ea. So, t.a.a.ea. If, t.a.athink? I don't know. I mean, I guess just to like keep with the theme of everything about this movie is dumb. This movie should have just been called Everything is Dumb. The Stupid. Dumb movie. I forgot to mention Peter Jackson also did a puppet movie called Meet the Febals, which is very, very, very, and bad taste. I feel like I've heard of that. Probably. Was it like the late 90s? Uh, no, because because because because the song, because, because, because, because, because, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I, th. th. I, th. I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to, to, to, to, to. to. to. to to to to to to to to to to the to the the the. the. the the. the. th. th of that. Probably. Was it like the late 90s? Uh, no, because there's a song from Meet the Feebles in this movie. So I would have predated it, but maybe I don't know what it is then. It's also a gross out, like, I think there's like puppet sex in it. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'll tell you. Can you say Kiwis? Is that a racist? No, I think they call them something. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. It's like a Canuck. Yeah, get in touch, Kiwis. Yeah, please do. I'd love to hear from you.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Uh, we know you're out there. We know you're listening. So this movie starts off on Skull Island. Yeah, I like that. Is that a real place? Kong was there too. Well I think yeah it's it's his early not because he also did the King Kong remake. So it's... Well he did the King Kong remake with Jack Black and Amy Watts. I didn't realize that was Peter Jackson. That is the longest movie I've ever seen actually. I think I'm still watching it. That was like I remember seeing in the the theater and being like what they're not even to to to to to the the the the the the the the the fu. I. I. I. I. I. I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. I. I was. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I the. I the. I the. I the. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I the. I the. I the. I the. I'm. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the, they're not even to the fucking island yet. I have to go home. Is the theater closing soon? But yeah, weren't you concerned about her homelessness? No. I'm here for a fucking giant ape and you were giving me the depression for a long time.
Starting point is 00:07:59 For a really long time. Um, so yeah, start off on Skull Island, they're catching a monkey rat or a rat monkey? Both and neither. It's all shot in like very close-ups too, which makes you think this person has never seen a movie before. Oh man, it's like the shittiest Indiana Jones. It's so stressful. I'm watching movies that are shot that close up. It's really hard to watch. Yeah, and then they back off it. He backs off it at some point. Yeah. Yeah. They didn't need facial expressions anymore. That's true. So they're getting this this monkey off the island. They're being chased by the natives, the inhabitants of the island, which is super sketch. I mean, it's 1992. thirty. A. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. they. they. they. their, their their thi. Yeah. Yeah. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they's they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're their. their. their. their. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. theeeeeee. th. th. theeeea. they back back back back. they're back. they're back. they're you gonna do? I think it was like the Fiji National Rugby team or something. It's like some like sports team. They were very buff. They were extremely buff, yeah. That's actually awesome. The shitty white dude
Starting point is 00:08:55 who's trying to steal the monkey rat gets bit by it. After he like cuts the carrying handles off why? Why did he do that? It just runs with it? Yeah, it was so strange. He makes, they like make a big deal of him cutting the handles off, okay. And then the guides that are with him hack him to pieces because he's been bitten, and they keep yelling this word, uh, Singaya. Because he's getting like wounds, he's getting like wounds where he hadn't been bitten. And they're going to turn him into him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into him into to to to bitten. And they're going to turn him into something bad. But they hack him apart before it happens. But they still sell the monkey to some asshole at the airport who rips them off. And then they take it to the zoo in Wellington. Did you like those airplane shots?
Starting point is 00:09:39 I did. It looked like the opening to wings. It really did. And anyone who w w w w w w w W W W W W W W W. th???? th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And, thi. And, they's they's thee. And, they's they's they's they're they're they's they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're the. It really did. And anyone who watched wings or currently watches wings will agree with me on that. Is anyone currently watching wings? Yeah, dude, it's on all the streamings. Someone's watching it. It's not there if nobody's watching it. Does a wings air on a streaming if no one's watching it?
Starting point is 00:10:01 I don't think so. I think it's there because people love Brian and his antics. And Joe, they're just so different. They see their brothers, but they're different. Isn't that weird? You could literally say any name for that brother and I would have no idea. A Bielzebub, his brother, yes, Brian and Bielze. You do know Brian though. You know him well. I do. I do. Buy our Cousies. Buy our Cousies.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Buy our Cousies. Buy our Cousies. Buy our Cousies. This is a S-M-on. Buy our Cousies. I also love the model set of Wellington with the trollies. Yeah, it was cute. It was real cute. But then later there are trollies, right? Yeah, yeah. Why didn't they just use those shots? Because I think there's one trolley that they just took three things. That's fair. I also wonder why they said it in the 1957, their, thrown. Because it seems like such an impediment to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the, the, true, trul, the. trul. trl. trlipe, tr. Wea, trl. Wea, trl. Wea, thea, their, their, their, their, their, they had to get all those they must have known somebody who had a bunch of like 50s cars yeah but they had to like all be in like period dress and stuff it seemed like a lot of work to do that right to do this fucking ridiculous gore movie right that you wouldn't need there's no like the time period has no bearing on any part of the movie I don't right because we're pre cell phone right now it was it's th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th. that thus they's thus they're they're they're they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're to the the the to the the they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they they're they they they they movie, I don't think. Right, because we're pre-cell phone, and that wouldn't even play into this. No.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Yeah, it was, it's an interesting, like, this has to be set in 57. Yeah, and why? Well, whatever, yeah. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Maybe, that. Who knows? We're not Kiwis. Are you a ki. So we go to SuperValue, which are really low. Yeah, a big fan of that. Because you just hate it in their accent.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Go. No. All right. Which is where Paquita works. Yeah. And she likes the weird delivery guy, Roger? He's gross. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:57 Yeah. And her grandmother's like, oh, let me read you the tarot and tell you what's going on. And I was like, what do we do it here, movie? What's going on right here? Yeah, what is their deal? I don't know. I don't know. It doesn't matter. Like, they seem like a weird Italian stereotype.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Like, they seem like a weird. It's like a tha'an-a'a'a American stereotype. Yeah, it's real hard. I don't know what's happening. They were just like others. And maybe that's the point to like just be like, we don't know what this is. We're assholes. Who cares? We spent all of our time collecting classic cars. So she tells her that Roger is not the dude that she wants to like fall in love with. It's going to be this weird dude. It was this knight. Yeah. And she doesn't look like Roger. No, she's like, that doesn't look like Roger.
Starting point is 00:12:56 No, it doesn't look like anybody. I liked that what I was reading about this or like, that tarot deck. Except for the Black Night Card. And there's like, oh no shit, really? Really? Tell me more. It's just, like, even the tarot doesn't need to be in this movie. No.
Starting point is 00:13:14 She doesn't need that to fall in love with him. Like, why can't she just fall in love with him? to like the stuff from like Wolfman and stuff like that with like the Roma coming and like telling them about all this shit and yeah I'm assuming that's what was going on there. So Piquita's like well I love this guy now and we follow Lionel comes to drop off his mother's order for groceries and he's a fucking hot mess. He's seems like he just lives as a hot mess. Yeah so that we follow Lila Lionel home and we meet his mother. She looks straight out of the Black Hole Sun video when you first see her because it's another really close-up shot.
Starting point is 00:13:52 She's like in a weird warped face and she's holding that big knife and I was like, oh, they stole that from this movie. Yes, they stole that from this movie I'm sure of it. That's th is is is is is th. It's th. It's th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. I'm sure of it. That's hilarious. It's true though. It's true, it's totally spot on. I didn't even think about that. Yeah. Fuck you, Chris Cornell. Sorry you're dead. Sorry you're dead. you're today. thrown. You can steal from this. You can steal from thrown. I don't know why I said. tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that tho tho that that that. that tho-I tho-I tho-I tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho that that that that that that that that that that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. the. tha. say something to get me out of this. So, Paquita comes and delivers the grocery is to Lionel and her shitty mother. And she's just super abusive of Linal and like yelling at him to clean everything. Yeah, it's just it's ridiculous. She's just on 11 at all times. She's like angrily stepping on flowers but they're silk flowers. Like obviously silk flowers. She is very excited to be asked to join the Wellington Ladies WL WL WL, which is very difficult
Starting point is 00:14:55 to say. So hard to say. Pekita tricks Linal into asking her to go to the zoo. I thought that was really cute. Adorable. I love that. It is a very cute, meat, but it, but it, but it, but it, but it, but it, to, that it, but it, that it, that, that, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, th, that's th, th, th, that's that's that's that's that's that's thi is also that's that's that's that's that's that's is that's is that's is that is that is that is that is that is that is that's is that's is that's is that's is that's is that's is that's is that's is that's is that's is also is also is also is also, is also, is also, th, th. th, th, th, th. th. thi is also thi is also thi is also thi is also thi is also thi is also thi. thi is also thi is also thi is also thi is also thi is also thi. thi is also thi. thi. thi is thi is thi is thi is the zoo. I thought that was really cute. Adorable. I love that. It was my favorite meat cute of all time. It is a very cute meat cute but it's also like oh her language skills like she's playing up like her. I don't know. It's still a little bit gross. So they go to the zoo and it's adorable. Yeah. And they snoo a good first date? I don't know either. I haven't been to a zoo in a the zoo. the zoo. the zoo. the zoo. to. the zoo. to. to. to. to. to. to. the zoo in to. the zoo in to the zoo in the zoo in the zoo in the zoo in the zoo in the zoo in the zoo in the zoo in the zoo in the zoo the zoo in the zoo. to be to to to to be to be to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. t snooch. Is he a good first date? I don't know. I don't know either.
Starting point is 00:15:26 I haven't been to a zoo in like 20 years. Oh, I have a child now, so I go to the zoo. Sure. You want to go to the zoo? Sure. We'll go to the zoo? All right. It's literally a mile from... I like the idea of moving instead of just editing that out.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Unbeknownst to us, mom has been following them. So gross. And she gets bit by the monkey. After it kills another monkey, it rips its leg off. I fucking love that rat monkey. I love it. I love it. You know how I feel about stop motion, which is to say, I fucking love it.
Starting point is 00:16:06 And it's so gross when it's ripping apart the other monkey. It's so gross. It's so gross. And it's like cutting back and forth between the real world and this like stop motion animation monkey, and it looks so shitty and it's so good. This is where the movie is good. This is where the movie is good. And it's just ramping up at this way because mom gets bit and then she, with her heel of her shoe, crushes the monkey's head until its
Starting point is 00:16:31 eyes explode. It is so squirty. Yeah. It is so goopy. I think those two words could just be used for the rest of the movie from here on now. Squirty. G Goopy. Yeah. Then we hear a story about like a rat raping a tree monkey? It's so weird. It's so weird. Why is he telling anybody that? Why does he know that? And why do I have to know it? It just looked like a weird gross Max von Zedell.
Starting point is 00:16:54 That was just breaking all the shit priest from the exorcist, the old guy. Oh, okay, okay, okay, yeah, yeah, fair. And yeah, so we take mom home, mom's all sick and fucked up from this infected bite. When he takes the bandage off in the morning. Oh my god, when it squirts dad. Oh my god. So, uh, I own this movie. Of course you do. Of course you do. And, um, um, um, um, um, um, and I, um, and I, um, and I, um, and I, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th th, th th th th th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. Yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th, th. Yeah, th th th th th th th thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tha. And, tha. tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha thi-a thi-a, thi, thi, I own this movie. Of course you too. Of course I do. Um, and I've watched it a butt billion times.
Starting point is 00:17:27 And every time he takes that bandage off and the wound is pulsating and like, the word that just popped down in my mouth was milking because it's just like, ugh. I'm sorry I did that way you were drinking. Oh, that was really hard to swallow that water. Because I couldn't, no. It makes me want to throw up every time. Yeah. And I just want to be like, kudos. Oh my god. You all nailed it.
Starting point is 00:17:50 You got it. And it's also just the fact, her arm, the arm is very thin and like wiry and it just has this disgusting wound It's so good. And then her cheek falls off and they glue it back on, which is like one of the first things that has like made me physically cringe watching a movie in a long time. Oh really? Like I had to like, I was like clenching my teeth and squinting my eyes. That's cringing, right? What is it about face trauma that's like the guy ripping his face off in the poltergist? Oh? Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like the the the the the the thui, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like th. Like, like th. Like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the th. Like, thi? Like, thi? Like, thi's, thi's, like, like, thi? thi? thi? the thi? thi? his face off in the poltergeist. Oh, I don't know. It's so upsetting for some reason. Because I think your instinct in all situations is to protect your face, right? Like if anything is coming at you, you put your hands in front of your face.
Starting point is 00:18:31 So the idea of something happening to your face must be some sort of like visceral thing, you know? There's not a part of you though that's just like, I just just just just just kind I just kind I just kind I just kind I just kind I just kind I just kind I just kind I just kind I just kind kind kind I just kind kind to feel to feel the to feel kind kind kind kind kind kind kind kind to feel kind kind to feel kind like this paper thin skin to peel back on your sheet? No, okay. Just pop a pimple and be done with it. Check out our YouTube YouTube channel if you're interested in that. Man, my cousin Vicki and I once spent like three hours one night just watching popping pimple videos. They are fucking amazing. There is nothing on earth I would less like to watch than that. But I'm glad that you found it. It's really satisfying. the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that that th. that that that that that that th. that's that that's that's that's that's that's that's that that's that that's thi. that's that's that I that I that I that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. to. to. togu. to. togu. to. togu. to. to. togu. to. t. that. that. that. I.'m glad that you found it. It's really satisfying. Which actually leads to the next thing that makes me almost want to puke, which is when they're serving the pudding at dinner. It is so truly disgusting. It is so truly disgusting. So already there's these shitty people having lunch with him or whatever, and he brings out this custard
Starting point is 00:19:19 to serve them and she peels back the bandage and squirts out like forcibly squirts the stuff into the guy's pudding. Yeah it's like... And he's like, ah custard! Oh! I'm sorry, we'll move away. From where are we going to go? No, that scene is truly repulsive. Yeah, because then her ear falls off and she fucking eats it and like, I just want to throw up. I just want to throw up. And Lionel is like not that... It's just like, well, I have to do this for my mother to get into the Wellington Ladies WLWL. The W.L. W. I mean, this is what she wants. Oh, man. No. Oh. Oh, this is this is the first the first this is the first the first the first the first the first the first the first th. th. This is the first the first th. the first th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. I tho. I tho. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. Starting point is 00:20:05 Yeah, this is the first gross out movie we've ever done that's just like here to like maybe make you throw up? I think so. Yeah. I don't know. I don't even really know of others. Oh, they're out there, but I think this is like, this, this is the farthest I think we've gone into like this. Yeah, blah, blah your faults or fault we're not sure if you have many personalities whoever you are
Starting point is 00:20:28 no do we we skipped her the fact the key to the house they have sex or at least she sleeps over we don't know if they actually yeah don't slut shame her I'm not slut shame her so so defensive so defensive So defensive. You just like rage at me. I saw your face and your hands go. It's just a joke. Geez. Sorry. I'm going to play it straight from here on out. No more jokes. So then it's very gory. and so gory things happen.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Did you like the scene where his mom eats the dog? Fernando? I couldn't believe how much tail came out of her mouth. Yeah. They just keep pulling it for a real long time. Oh God. Oh God, seeing a full-sized dog being pulled out of a woman's body is really upsetting. Oh man.
Starting point is 00:21:31 I can though, they just nailed it. They nailed that special effect. Oh yeah, I mean, it looks horrible. Yeah. Mom just keeps getting worse. Let's see. My notes are just unusable. So they bring in, this is where they bring in Nurse McTavish, yeah, which is a great name for a nurse. Yeah, she's a very nice, very sensitive nurse.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Yeah, very helpful. Yeah, until. Somehow she's like willing to like, all right, well, I'll just leave mom here. Yeah. Like not, we need to go to the hospital right now? Because mom's fucked up at this point. Yeah, well she's going to call for an ambulance and then the mom dies. Yeah. So, you know, I guess she can declare someone dead. I think I feel you'd still call the ambulance, but she does not. Because mom comes back to life and kills nurse nurse McDavish. Right, and then Lionel throws like a decorative bird into her forehead. What? Why? It's there for the rest of the movie. It is her like distinctive factor. That and that her head just keeps popping off so like there's the great effect of her spinning around backwards so she could see things. Oh my God. It's just, it's just.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Okay. I love the whole thing of like him dealing with the zombie mom and zombie nurse McTavish while Pekita is trying to figure out whose toothbrush to bring. Oh right, is your mom's white or green? And he still answers her. So he gets them into the basement, which has a huge metal door on it for some reason. Right, what was mom doing down there? Who knows? That is very weird.
Starting point is 00:23:15 And he goes to get sedatives from a Nazi? I don't understand, because the place he goes has like that haunted house exterior shot where it looks like scared silly with Ronald McDonald and the chicken nuggets, you know what I'm talking about? I absolutely do. Yeah, you and probably like five other people. I love that one that's dressed up like a vampire. Yes, I love the bride of Frankenstein one.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Is that when they used to do the McDonald's like buckets? Yes, yeah, that was a great era. Yeah, I saw some companies making pillows that are those now. Oh, that's nice. Yeah, it's cute. Cute. It's cute. But yes, it's a Nazi, I guess. Yeah, the Nazi drugist.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Who gives him like a growler of tranquilizers? What? What? Why why why why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? I love later on the movie where he mixes it up with animal stimulant. Yeah, he like rolls the bottle over towards him. Poison on one side, animal stimulant on the other. Sirs. Fucking idiot. No. So this is where we go to the...
Starting point is 00:24:23 He like stabs his mother in the eye with the tranquilizers and then pulls it out and stabs it into the nurse's nose or maybe vice versa. It is horrifying. And mom has so many prosthetics on it this way, I assume so they could swap actors out and just have somebody in all this makeup rather than this older woman. And so her dead body gets found, right? How does that happen? Because they have a funeral for her. Oh, because... Lionel goes back to apologize to Paquita.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Yeah. Or to break it off with Paquita, I think. Mom breaks out of the house, runs down to the shop, gets hit by the trolley and knocked through the window of the store. And then they're like, I guess she's dead and he's like, yeah I guess she's dead now. That's right, that's right. That's very good. And then we go to mom's funeral. God, I hope someone peels into my funeral like that, you know? Like Uncle Les? Yeah, I'll thank th. Like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. Like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th th th th th. the the the the the theeeea. theea. the thea. theeea. the the the thea. the thea. the. to have someone peeling in and then peeling out. He's the fucking worse. Yeah, he's super gross. But I will do that for you. I'll be here.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Oh, thank you. Your peel out, buddy. I appreciate that. You're gonna do all my other wishes too, right? Uh-huh. Where the champions is gonna play as my casket the aisle. Lights the lafie. the ch I is is is is is is is is is th is going is going is going is going is going is going th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the thiiiiiiiiii. the the the the the the the thiiananananan't their their their their their their their their the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tosa. tosan. tosa. tosk. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi.to Vicki. Arm around her. Last laugh. Last laugh, Vicky. She doesn't listen. She has no idea. Literally thousands of people know this and she doesn't. Don't tell her.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Oh, that bitch better outlive me. This is too good to waste. Yeah. If she's gonna be on her deathbed I'm gonna be like, no me first. It's so amazingly fucked up and I love it. I feel like this movie's really bringing out the inappropriate. Oh yeah big time. So I love this the priest being pissed off that Lynell's not there yet. Oh yeah, big time. So I love the scene of the priest being pissed off that Lynail's not there yet. I'm gonna start without him. Yeah, let him, let him, give him a fucking minute. And then the mortician being like, yeah, a fucking didn't turn off the embalming machine. Yeah, what, like what did that, what was that to, what were we to take from that? to................ And, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, to. to. to. to. to. the, the, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, theyli.eli.li.li. the, the, the, the, the what was that to what were we to take from that just so you could go back and have the seat of it exploding out of her?
Starting point is 00:26:47 Okay, okay. Which is Peter Jackson is the assistant. Oh I didn't know that. Yeah. So the squirrelly do with glasses that. The embalming machine is fantastic because it's just like wheels and whistles. Yeah. It's very steam punk I have a, what is the steampunk nonsense. And so they over fill her with a bombing fluid and it's shooting out of her and hits Peter Jackson's sandwich when he, which he then just picks up and starts eating? That's when Rob said it was tasteless. I was laughing, he was not. So that has a bridge too far for Rob. I think, I mean, I think all of this was a bridge tha tha tha tha tha tha tha thi was a thi thus thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thoomom. thoom. their their their their their their thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi theeeeeeeeeeeea thiiiiii. thiioli. thioloue. thi. thi. thi far for Rob. I think, I mean I think all of this was a bridge too far for him, you know. He doesn't stirk me as someone who likes a gross out of it.
Starting point is 00:27:30 No. No, very, very sensitive to those types of things. So mom and Lionel get into some sort of ordeal where he goes busting through the window and ends up in the chapel, they're fighting and he has to inject her again. Right. The thing is, that there are a lot of red flags for Paquita here, don't you think? I mean, just like an ocean of red flags. Just slapping in the wind and she's like, okay, why? Tarot cards say, man? Man, I guess that's like how they explain her never being like, maybe I should just stop. If the tarot cards tell you, which is I don't think is what terra cards tell you. I had a tarot card reading once and it told me that she told me that she told me to enter
Starting point is 00:28:15 into a new relationship and I was like, I'm married. And that she told me I was going to get a new job and I was like, and I was like, and I was like, I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm the. I'm the. I'm like, I'm like, I'm thi. I'm like, I'm like, I'm the the the the the the I'm the I'm the I'm the I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a the. I'm the. I'm theean. I'm like thean. I tell tell tell theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee an th? Oh for 2? Yeah. Just, anyway. I know. I was like, well this was helpful. Enjoy my $15. Yeah. 15 it was like 50? I know. I got ripped off. She's like I see you wishing you had $50 in the future. That's not... Did she make origabi birds? Oh, I know. I'm the the the the they-Sem. Oh, I'm not. the th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, just. Oh, I th, just. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. Oh, just just just just just just just just just just just just just. Oh, just just just. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, just. Oh, I'm just just just. Oh, I'm just just. Oh, I I see you wishing you had $50 in the future. That's not... Did she make origabi birds and throw them away? I do love when he falls through the glass on top of his like zombie mom and some just because mother love? Yeah, well because earlier and during the sermon the priest said that Lionel had an abundance of mother love, which was a very gross phrase, and something I hope is never said about my child. I love the priest so fucking much.
Starting point is 00:29:16 He was so weird. What a weird character. I love that he just kind of talks like some like Australian football hooligan. Yeah, that's what it was. He's very rough and tumble, which comes back in a few minutes in the most amazing way. Are you talking about the scene where he's fucking the nurse? No, no, not that. I'm talking about where he yells, I kick ass for the lord and beats the shit. Oh yeah, yeah, the Kung Fu the head, arms and legs off of a person. That's right. I kick aft for the Lord has to be one of the top ten best things ever said in a movie. Probably.
Starting point is 00:29:49 So the cemetery night, Lionel goes to dig up mom. Why is he doing that again? I don't know any of his motivation to do anything. Like, sorry I keep asking. No, no, no, could, it seems like he could stop it. Yeah. Yeah. Like, so he goes back to Dig Mama up, the Ruffians rough him up. The rough, they're toughs, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:13 They all, they have names like, like, oh my, I'm what the fuck of their names. They're ridiculous. Void, scrote. Oh my god. And one of them is wearing a th is a th is a th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thing is thing is thum, thum is thum is thum is thum, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, thi, thi, th, th, like, like, like, th, th, th, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tough, tough, tough-aughing, to-i. thi. thi. thi. thi. th wig. Yeah, for sure. I think that's scrote. Okay. So void is pissing on mom's grave. Yeah, and that's when her hand comes up and rips off his junk. Yeah, grabs him by the peeper. And the priest comes out to fight everybody. And that's what he goes, I like, kick ass for the lord. Oh my god he does he is he is he is he is he is he is the he he he he he he the the he the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thus, thus, th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. tho-s. tho-s, tho-s, tho-s. th. th. th. th. that's th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. Vo. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to. toee. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. thi. thi. thi. Voi. Void. kick ass for the Lord. I love that he sleeps in his priest's collar. Oh my god, he does, you're right.
Starting point is 00:30:45 He does kick a ass for the Lord. Never give up. There's the scene where he's doing that thing where he's hopping on one foot and kicking with the other for a really long time. He looks cool. This is a cool scene.the air and lands on a tombstone that's an angel pointing upwards. Yeah, to God. I want that to be a real thing. I like that the entire statue was stone except for the hand though which was clearly just a person's hand. Why didn't they might make it look like stone? We're gonna cover with blood anyway, it'll be fine. It wasn't.
Starting point is 00:31:24 So then he takes... make it look like stone. We're going to cover it with blood anyway, it'll be fine. Eh, it wasn't. So then he takes, all the tufts are now zombies. The priest's a zombie, so he takes them all home. Yeah, why? And he just takes the one, he takes void. Yeah, and the priest's home. And the priest and the nurse... Go ahead, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, th, th, th, th, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, thi, thi, tho, tho, the, the, tho, thi, tho, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,. And then the priest and the nurse, go ahead, you explain this one.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Well, I had a note that said, oh, just let these zombies fuck. Because like, what else do they have? You know, but then when he comes back in and they're fucking, I was like, oh, I see why you didn't want that to happen. Yeah. But, but before that, can we talk a talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk the a the a the a the a the a the a the a the a tha tha tha tha tha tha tha to to to to to tho that, that, they that, that, that, they they they they they they they they they they the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they they they they the the the the the the the the theean thau thau thau thau thau thau thau to thau to tranquilizers in them and they're like eating them with their hands but also just like it's squirting out of like neck holes and like it is just truly a work of reprehensible genius.
Starting point is 00:32:18 The fact that the nurse's head is not connected to her body, and so he spoons it down her throat. Oh my god. It's so fucking disgusting. So fucking disgusting. Plus, it's like, it's not egg consistency. Oh, no. It's bleh. It's bleh.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Oh, stop. Stop. But I just have to imagine that they were giddy while they were doing like, oh my god. It's so gross, it's so gross. Yes, it is so fucking gross. And I appreciate them for that. Mm, mm, mm, mm, and then we see the zombie baby. This nurse gets pregnant and immediately gives birth. Yeah, what do you think of that zombie baby? I love it to pieces. I think it's really cute.
Starting point is 00:32:55 It's, when it's crawling around, I was like so cute. It's fluctuation in size is one of my favorite things in this movie. Right, sometimes it's like the size of an eight-year-old. Mm-hmm, yeah. And other times it is a tiny baby infant. Tiny baby infant. It's so good. It's so stupid. It's so, like, the factam. I know, did he think no one would look in at the baby?
Starting point is 00:33:25 Why did he even bother? It's so silly. Something is wrong with Lionel. Something is deeply, deeply wrong with both him and both him and Piquita. I love the physical comedy of him like falling down the hill with the baby pram, it like rolling over and then both ending up upright and just been like, yeah, it's going about their business. He definitely has like a very good physical comedy ability but it is just I mean. Also how did the baby get out of
Starting point is 00:33:56 the barbed wire when it flies to the air and tries to bite that child? I don't know I don't know I I guess I don't know. I mean a lot of things happen to that baby that do not kill it so you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. the. I the. I the. I the. I. Oh man. I mean a lot of things happen to that baby that do not kill it, so, you know. Like he beats it and the town drunk is just laughing? Yeah, even the moms on the bench are like, oh brother, I can't believe this is happening. Like, what would you do if you saw that happening? I can't even imagine. I can't even imagine. I. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. theee. theeee. theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea. theeeee. the. the. that's why it had to be set in 1957. Ooh that could be a very good reason, yeah. This is gonna pay off when we're later beating a baby and no one cares. I mean that is tasteless. That is extremely tasteless. Oh yeah for sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:39 So Paquita and him have split up and now she's seeing Roger and all he does is tell her about rugby. But like his rugby exploits, I like that a lot. Oh man. I, yeah. It's great. He's great. Roger, no, he sucks.
Starting point is 00:34:55 It's so spot on for dudes that I've known though. And so this, oh, Les has like shown up at the house and been like I want your mom's money. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, like, like, like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, I like, th. th. th. th. th. th. to th. to th. to th. th. th. th. th like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like shown up at the house and been like, I want your mom's money and the house and all this stuff. And Lionel's like, yeah, you can have the house at the basement's filled with zombies. You're fine. Because he thinks, because when Les comes over and he hears the priest and the nurse fucking. Right. And he thinks just, he's gotten into his dead stag films. That's so silly.. I I I I I I I I. So, I. I. So, I, I. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want th. I want, I want th. I want th. I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I th. I want, I th. I want, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I want, I want, I want th. I want th. I want th. So, I want th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. thi. th. I want th. I want ththe nurse fucking. Right. And he thinks
Starting point is 00:35:25 he's gotten into his dead stag films. That's so silly. So silly. Yeah. And then he wants to come in and watch him with him. Dude, yeah. No. Never never understood that. Never jerk it with other people. It's for you and you alone. It's a reason it's called me time. It's a reason it's called self-care. Am I doing this wrong? Just kidding, if you want to drink it with other people, that's fine. I'm not judging you.
Starting point is 00:35:59 I think we're speaking specifically of Uncle Les. Oh yeah, don't drink it with Uncle Les, for sure. So we get to a point where Les is having a party, he invites all of the thi th, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's the the the the the thi, it's thi, it's the thi, it's thi, it's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's thi. It's thi. It's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's ti. It's tia. It's tia. It's tia. It's thia. It's thi. It's thi. It yeah, don't drink it with Uncle Les, for sure. So we get to avoid where Les is having a party, he invites all of his like greaser friends over? He has a lot of friends. He's a popular guy. It's surprising. He seems like a trace.
Starting point is 00:36:14 People love an asshole. Yeah, I guess so. Yeah. the street with Roger sees there's a party and just leaves him. Yeah. And Roger goes, eh, it keeps walking. Why doesn't he go to the party too? Eh, fuck it. Yeah. I like that actually, that he's not like I'm going to go after her, you know, he's just like, fine, see what's on TV. I love the idea of being with someone just walking out the street and them being gone, you like, whatever. I their like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I they. I they. I they. I th like, I th like, I th like, I thi, I thi, I thi, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I tho, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th. Yeah, I th. I th. Yeah, I th. I th. I th. I's thi, I'm, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi th thi th th thi th thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, the street and then being gone, you're like, whatever. I, well, wasn't meant to be. So then all hell breaks loose at the party because he puts animal stimulant into them and said, because he breaks the tranquilizer bottle. Yeah, he drops it. And then Ripsle tries to replace it with another poison
Starting point is 00:37:01 bottle but it's animal stimulant. Why did he have that? Oh, you don't have animal... Old basements. Old basements. Very wet, might have a toilet in them. There's that one brick wall, it's just oozing water. Yeah, yeah. Might have a toilet.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Li's in Millvale. Oh, man. So then the zombies get out and all hell breaks loose. Yeah, they kill so many people at this party. Oh my god. It's such a high body count. This has to be the highest body count. Mmm. We've ever done? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Probably. Other than maybe the end of Return of the Living Dead,
Starting point is 00:37:40 but like that, did we do that movie? Did we? Which one was that? That was the one the one that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that was that was that that was that was that that that was the the the the the the that was that was the that was the that was that was ville. But like that. Did we do that movie? Return of Living Dead? Did we? Mm-hmm? Which one was that? That was the one that you didn't like? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. I don't know why. I told you, my brain right now is like a bag of rice that a mouse has chewed a hole in the corner of and every time I lifted up, some thi thi that that that that that th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thoom thoomoomoomoomorrow thoomorrow that is that is that's that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that is that is that is that is that is that is that is thom thom thom thom thom thom thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thoin thoomoomoomoomorrow thoomoomorrow tomorrow that is that is so that is so thoomoomoomoomoomoomoomoomoomoomoomorrow that is Thank you. Thank you. It's also, I wish it wasn't so accurate. Fuckin mice. Don't eat my brain rice! Do you have a favorite death in the Zambi Gore Fest? This movie?
Starting point is 00:38:14 Yeah, yeah. Um, I think I like... One of the tufs ends up with a severed head and then someone else is just biting it? Which I liked a lot. Yeah. What about you? I love when the one zombie gets kicked onto the light fixture and it just makes her head glow and for the rest of the movie she's stuck on the wall.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Yes. It's so cool. And the light dims sometimes and then it's brighter at other times depending on what the corpse is doing. But the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the whole the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their the, it's, thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi, thi. And then, thi, thi. And then, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi.eeeeee thi.eeeeeeeeeeee thi. thi. I's, thi. I thi. I thi, thi other times depending on what the corpse is doing. But the whole time it's just like, it gets like some animatronic and it's just, its arms are moving the whole time. It's really cool. It is really cool. But so they're, you know, like ripping people's rib cages out, hearts out and gnawing on
Starting point is 00:38:56 them. The one tough gets cut in half, put into a toilet, semi-flushed, his organs crawl out of his body. Yeah. And all of his organs, his lungs, the organs, lungs, I don't even know how to talk about this thing. The lungs become hands and like are flapping all the time and like making praying hands when it's about to be killed and just like crawling around and it's fucking absurd. It is fucking absurd. Though I think this is where the movie gets a little too much for me.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Okay. It's just like, they could have made seven movies with all of the ideas they had in this and they made one and that's great and I think I can see how for people they would absolutely love this, but I was just like, please make it stop. The climax of this gorefest, is Lionel running outside and getting a lawnmower and strapping it to his chest? Wait, before we get to that, yes. I want you to clarify a note I have. Please. Baby, ender window nards. Oh, they're trying to stick the baby into the like quezonart on the counter. It breaks free and I think it's, Pekita punches it out the window. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:24 And when it flies out the window, it hits less than the balls. That's what it is, yeah. Because he gets hit in the nut like five or six tie. Yeah, he really takes a lot of nut shots. Also, I've never heard any one say quezonart before now, and I don't like the word at all. I've looked at it a million times I've never heard it said aloud. Why is it? Queezanart. Like, cuisine? Quizzinart? Quizzinart? Quizzinart? Quizzinart. Quisen art? No. Okay. Anyway, yes, tell me about the lawnmower, please. Sorry. Oh, before the lawnm lawnmower, there is the one zombie that's replaced its head with the
Starting point is 00:41:08 garden gnome, which is fucking wonderful. That's pretty good, yeah. So he straps a lawnmower to his chest and it's just running at hordes of zombies, spraying everything everywhere. It's just too much. He's shaggy running on gore. Just doing that like bdib-bid-bid-bid-bid-bid-bid-there's so much fucking blood. There's so much fucking blood. Like that had to have been a third of the budget. Yeah, that's one
Starting point is 00:41:35 million dollars in blood. Right. It is horrible. It is horrible. I can't tell you at like, I saw this one I was like 18 or 20. 92 would have been 18. Probably saw it when I was like 19, 19 or 20. Fucking blew my mind. In what way? Like, I'd never seen anything this gory. Yeah. Like this, this blows like Reanimator out of the water and all these just like super gross.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Yeah, I hate that movie. Yeah. Yeah. But it's I think they're in league with each other in that way. Yeah I agree. But this was just like it was just like that spinal tap like this goes to 11 like yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh. So let's talk about mom and what happens to mom. I mean, we're going to ring the bell. I think we have, I think this might be the gong again. Yeah, can you ring the titty gong? Please. Mong.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Thank you. Mom? I can't. I can't. Becomes a giant? A giant? Yeah. With big old boobs and a big old butt. It's just... Like a fertility idol. Yes, like a fertility idol. With those scary monster head and huge fingernails. Oh my god, help me. It's so fucking ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:43:02 It's too much for me. It's too much for me. This was too much for me. Well I like this a lot, but what, after everything that has come before it, it is too much for me. Was it too much when she opened up her stomach and shoved her child back into her? No one will ever love you like your mother, she says. I just was done, done, done and done. He then busts out of his mother, makes a zip line with his belt, and they zip line to freedom. I like that actually. Yeah. Yeah. And then they just like kiss and walk away. He throws his good luck charm away and... Why did he do that? Don't fucking know. That didn't make any sense. He had to do one final stupid thing? I guess. Yeah, very stupid. I would have that
Starting point is 00:43:52 thing embedded in my forearm if I were him. Just sew it into your self. Exactly. Oh dude. That's dead alive slash brain dead. Dead alive was the American title. Brain Dead was Dead Alive was the American title. Brain Dead was already a film in the States. I see. Just to clarify them. Thank you. Oh, Alan. Katie.
Starting point is 00:44:12 Oh, Alan. Let's go to the ratings phase. Okay. You go first. I love this movie. I know you do. I was so stoked that people were really hammering. And it's a... Maybe it was you who sent us all those messages. I didn't see most of them to be fair.
Starting point is 00:44:29 You were like, oh, somebody said those. Oh, Ellen 4269, Guntouch. Ellen at Fart Hospital. That's terrible. That's where the Wyrrell Famuolence goes. That's terrible. But yeah, I adore how fucking terrible and ridiculous this movie is. It's just like a, it's just an ode to bad taste. Yeah. It's so over the top, like, it's so, if you were 15 and like somehow your mom found this movie and what's wrong with you.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Yeah, yeah, that's really what it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sure at 45 my mother would also ask what's wrong. I think it's worse now, yeah. This movie is a 9.75. Oh, fuck. Why not a 10? I don't know. Just too bad to be perfect. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Yeah. I mean, I had a lot of fun watching most of this movie. I thought this movie was hysterical to a point, to a point, to a point. And then I just couldn't anymore. And I think there's a threshold for this kind of thing. And this was just, Rob hit it within the first five minutes, I hit it in the first like 80 minutes. That's a pretty good run though. I mean I gave it my all. I gave it my all. I really did. I think you should see this movie if this is a thing that you like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:54 This is a very good addition of this type of thing. Sure. It is enough for me. You know, it would have been for me if there just some of that last, th., th, that, th, th, th, th, that, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, tho, to, to, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, th... And, th. And, th. And, thi, thi, thi, thi, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, thi. And, thi. And, to, to, to, to, to, to, thi, thi, it would have been for me if there just some of that last party scene hadn't, it just got so, it was just too much. Yeah. I don't even know, it like wasn't fun anymore. It's like hammering a joke into the ground or something. For sure. Yeah. Which I do all the time, so I should really appreciate the art of that. I'm gonna, I think people should see it. I would never dissuade you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. It's just the th. It's just that. I'm gonna, I think people should see it. I would never dissuade you. And it's on YouTube because it's hard to stream it and like no one has it streaming anywhere. Yeah. Oh fuck. I'm gonna give it a five. No I'm gonna give
Starting point is 00:46:37 it a six and a half. No, oh man I'm all over the place. I like, our rating system is so stupid. This movie is, I've got it. Okay. It's a squirt of pinkoo hitting a photograph of your dead father. That's what this movie is. Take from that what you will. I think that might be the greatest compliment you could pay to this film. Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Should we do another film? We should we do that that we do that that that we do that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. This tho thoom thoom thoom. This movie. This movie. This movie tho tho. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This movie. This is thi is thi is thi is thiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. This movie thii thi thi thi thi thi thi th film. Yeah I think so. Should we do another film? We should do another film. What should we do? Let's, since summer's waning, by the time this comes out, summer will be a distant memory. Oh fucking shit. But it'll be autumn and spooky times. Oh spooky times. They said smoky times and I was like, eh. Smoky times. It's always smoky times if you want it to be. Let's do, uh, jaws. Okay. Nah. Let's do parada. It's the same fucking thing, but worse.
Starting point is 00:47:37 A little bit louder and a little bit worse. Not the one from 1995. No. No. The 3D? Yeah, no. They're 78. Joe Dante. I mean, just watch it, I guess. Or watch Jaws, it's fine either way.
Starting point is 00:47:54 You'll get the drift. Alan, can I take you to a place called, uh, mail bag? That's it. As you know, I use the app Podcast Republic. So when we get reviews on there, I always see them. We have three new reviews, and I have not read any of them prior to this. I just hope in the app it's on them, so I'm just going to do this cold. The first one is from Jasmine. Do you have a burning desire to know what your favorite Gore King Tom Savini is doing by the pool? Then. Tune in for Savini Watch. Oh, and they review horror movies sometimes and are quite entertaining. It's pretty good. It's pretty accurate.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Pretty good. Thanks, Jasmine. Ohma. Oma says, funny, irreverent. that's funny irreverent. That's spot on. That's spot on. Thank you, Oma. I've never thought it was as irreverent, but I think that's very true. We are absolutely irreverent.
Starting point is 00:48:46 And the last one is a user named With a Pocket Full of Smells. That would have changed the song for you quite a bit, huh? I know we've talked about it before, but you know what Alan thought that song was about? Tell him. Tell him. I just tho th th th th th th th th th th th tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho- tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho th. Starting point is 00:49:13 Oh no, I 100% should be. Yeah. Oh yeah. And here's the review that user with a pocketful of smells has left us. Garfield would not have hated Mondays had this podcast existed back then in Garfield's time. Katie and Alan have me looking forward to each work week. Love being that guy in the office headphones on at his desk randomly piercing the quiet with laughter. Thank you pocketful of smells. When do you think Garfield existed? What is his era? What is his era? Is Jim Davis still alive? Is he still making Garfield? I bet he is. I assume, yeah. Could we say that we are the lasagna of podcasts? I think we are
Starting point is 00:49:54 absolutely the lasagna of podcasts? Can we get that on a t-shirt? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you so much for reviewing us on Podcast Republic. You can also review us on Apple Podcasts. And I think possibly Stitcher, I don't know. I don't know. Who fucking knows? Yeah, I don't know anything about those things. I have this one. This is the app I use.
Starting point is 00:50:14 It's not a great app though, is it? It works for you, doesn't it? No, not really. I think that's it. Yeah. Watch our YouTube video for this episode? Yeah. We did some cookie tasting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:32 Spoilers. We're eating again. Thanks for listening to another episode where Wolf ambulance ambulance. Bye. Bye. the
