Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, you guys did this to us. I spent two hours and eight minutes last night watching Sasevenin. Ssevenin? Can I tell you about my history with this movie? Go. My freshman year of college, I hooked up with a guy because he had a VHS copy of seven. Are you still there? Is this thing on? Was that the, there had to been other criteria that he might. I mean, he was cute.
Starting point is 00:00:42 But he was like, hey, I got seven on VHS. You want to come back to my dorm room? And I was like, yeah. Wow. Yeah. Wow. It was an easier time. Dan, if you're out there, I hope you still like this movie.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I think it was Dan. Dave, Dan. Can we settle this for the last episode right out of the bat? Right off the bat? Oh my gosh, I'm sorry. I'm still very upset about this. So everything they're doing in this movie makes you think that it's in New York City. Yeah. Until the end of the movie, they drive into the desert quickly. Why did I not notice that?
Starting point is 00:01:29 Because everything, it's raining. It's raining. They've all got those coffee cups from little Greek corner stores, which is like a New York. Right, it's the, it's the law and order cup. Yeah. Gwyneth Poultz says when we were upstate, and everyone knows that no other state has an upstate besides New York, right? You don't say upstate Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:01:48 To assume there's a desert right outside. I mean, this movie does feel like a fucking dystopia. Yeah. So if you were like, oh, this is set a hundred years in the future when everything's been blasted around New York City. Oh, oh, no, I didn't catch I that I that I that I that I catch that I that I Well I know that this movie, the guy who wrote this movie, wrote it while he lived in New York and hated being there. Okay. So it does feel like a hate letter to New York City. So why didn't they just have them drive out into the, I mean around New York City there are a lot of woods and sure. I mean, around New York City there's there are there are there are there are there are there are a lot. There are their. There's. There's. There's. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their their their their their their th. th. their th. th. the th. th. the the th. th. thi. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the th. th. the th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the the the. the. th it doesn't have to be a desert. A warehouse district where no one was would have worked it just as well. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:27 It's very confusing. I'm very upset. And I'm mad at myself. Are there deserts in Canada? Maybe they went to Canada. I don't know what they have up there. I don't know what they have up there. Yeah, you could drive two hours in V in the wilderness for sure but there's no desert yeah that was straight up desert I hate everything so we're talking to seven and oh my god
Starting point is 00:02:52 this is pre-good Brad Pitt is there a good Brad Pitt oh I think you got better you know who would have been better than Brad Pitt in this movie anybody anybody anybody like the guy who sits next to you at work, Lucy my two-year-old, John Legwizamo, all better options. So he sucks. I felt like he was doing Brad Pitt from 12 Monkeys in this movie. That's a shit movie, too. Where he's like super like shaky and all over the place and like he's very expressive with his hands. If you can hear I'm doing that right now everything's with my aunt I'm always doing that so you probably always hearing it there's no chemistry but him him and Gwen and Paltrow mm-hmm I don't understand I mean he's
Starting point is 00:03:36 beautiful no I don't even think that I mean I guess he's fine like I mean I guess Brad Pitt at the time was very handsome but David Fincher who is otherwise a great?? th for th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I th. I'm th. I th. I'm th. I th. I th. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. I th. th. I th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I Brad Pitt at the time was very handsome. But David Fincher, who is otherwise a great filmmaker, I think, I think. You got your mind, Hunter. You're Zodiac. Zodiac is a great movie. I think he thinks Brad Pitt is much better than he is. See Also Fight Club. Sure. I think Brad Pitt sucks. Is there a movie, I mean honestly tell me, is there a movie in which Brad Pitt is a good actor?
Starting point is 00:04:07 I like him in 12 Monkeys because I think he does super over the top really well. Okay. And I also like him in Glorious Bastard for the same reason. I've never seen that. I'm probably never going to. Why would I? He's fine in Fight Club. No, that's a shit movie and he's shit in it. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. the th. th. the the the the thi. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi going to. Why would I? He's fine in Fight Club? No, that's a shit movie and he's shit in it. Sorry. It's fine. Fight Club is definitely a movie that's not for me, but yeah. And for the people that it's for? Yeah. Well. And if you like liked it when you were young and you haven't seen it since and you like getting offended us right now, maybe give it a rewatch. And then think about the current political climate, and then just like, rewind, reverse. It does seem very proto-in-cell and all that bullshit. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:04:53 So let's get into seven. OK. So this is Morgan Freeman, last day on the force, Somerset. You like Morgan Freeman? I do. OK, everybody does. Yeah. Although, supposedly he's also not a good. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. Ri. R. R. R. Ri. R. R. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Ri. Rewined. Rewined. Rewined. Rewined. Rewined. Rewined. Rewined. Rewined. Rewined. R. R. R. R. R. R. It's th. R. R. It thi. It thi. R. It thi. R. R. R. It th. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. It th. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. R. It th. R. R. R. It th. It th. R. R. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. to. th. to. to. I. to. to. I. to. I. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th.. th. th. th. th. th. erset like Morgan Freeman. I do. Okay, everybody does yeah, right? Although supposedly he's also not a good dude IRL. Oh really? Yeah, well Apparently the either David Finch or the other writer wanted William hurt for that role. Oh interesting. I'm like that's so weird. That's so weird because he does not give me last day on the force at all? No, he does not have that? I like William hurt. I like him best in best. the best. the best. the best. the best. the best. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. he. he. he. th. th. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. th. he. he. he. he he he's he he's he's he's he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he's also he at all. No, he does not have that gravitas. No. I like William Hurt.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I like him best in the film, I love you to death with Kevin Klein. I've never seen them. I'm sure. And Tracy Allman, who is a comic genius who never got her do. No. Nobody likes Somerset because he asked too many questions. I mean I that's that's that's like... I feel like that's a very 90s cop trip of like, oh, just let me do my job without actually having to do my job. I don't know, man, I came up on law and order. They've did their jobs.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Monk. If you get me started, I can't stop. If you get me started, I can't stop. Did the credits start right at the beginning or is there like a little preamble? I think Morgan Freeman finding the going to the scene of the first right. Right, right. The gluttony killing is the cold open. Okay. And then there's the very 90s scratchy letter like font with like nine, legit nine-inch nails play. I was like, this is bunco nine-inch nails.
Starting point is 00:06:29 I cannot believe they got away with this. And then it kicks in in the end of he goes, you get me closer to God. And I was like, oh, it's a remix. It's so bad. Because I know Howard Shore did the soundtrack, which I have a lot of beef with him over this movie. Okay. But like, I was like, yo, Howard Shore, you fucking ripped off Mr. Reznor. Yeah, but he didn't. It's a fucking remix. It's really bad. And then when Weneth Paltrow's name came up in the
Starting point is 00:06:58 opening credits, I was just like, oh my god, I just cannot. She's a person that you just cannot separate who they became with the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the the the the the the the th. the the the the the. the the the the the the the the the toge. the toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. that you just cannot separate who they became with. Sure. You can't separate the person from the art. Yeah, yeah. She's like a, yeah. Yeah. She's just a goop. She's disgusting.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Sudo science nonsense. And just like the wealth. Oh, yeah, yeah. She's a monster person. And she gets what she has coming in this movie. That's the thing, like the last scene, I don't care, I don't care for either of them. He sucks, she sucks, let him die. The only horse knife filled bad for is Morgan Freebie. Yeah, he's got to like ride back with this guy or something.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Yeah, oh my god. He's like I'm just trying to retire. God. So, and then we we we we th th th th th th th th th th th th, and th, and th, and th, and th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the thu. the the the thi. thi, tho, the the the the the the the the the the the the th, I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the. to. to. the. thi. th. th. the, is it the chief of police or the mayor, is Richard Fucking Roundtree? I don't know. Who played Shaft in the 70s? I don't know what that is. Oh, that's who that was. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:55 And I was like, oh, I like this a lot. Richard Roundtree showed up. This is great. And then Arlie, R, R, R, R. I I I I I I I I, R. I, R. I, R. I, R. I, I, I, the, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, th, th, th, is, is, is, is, is the, is, is, is the, is Richard, is, is Richard, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is. I is. I is. I is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. Is. I. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the, I. the. the, I, I, the. the. the. the. the. the, I, is, is, is, is, is. the. the, is. the is the police chief. Yeah. Oh, and so I guess, I think Richard Roundtree is like the district attorney. I think when they're talking about pressing charges, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, I can't, Arle, Erme, you are just the dude who's barking out orders at, like, you're just the military guy. How are you going to have a job that's not a drill sergeant?. Sergeant. I just don't buy that. Like what he's being empathetic later, you're like, what are you doing? Like are you feeling well? Yeah. Although this is our second early Army movie. What was the first?
Starting point is 00:08:30 Uh, the remake of Texas chainsaw mask. That's right. He's disgusting in that movie. Yeah. Oh yeah, he was so gross. He was actually good gross I feel now looking back at it. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, for some reason Mills who is Brad Pitt gets like put with Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt's like the country bumpkin. Yeah he's from upstate and he requested to be transferred there and he won't tell Morgan Freeman why and Morgan Freeman is just like well and I've never seen it done this way. Yeah but why? And he's and Brad Pitt's like well I don't if I fucking tell you anything I'm a fucking go tea everyone is so mean to Morgan a th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. I I I I I I I I I I I'm th. th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's that's to the to to the the the to the the the the the the the the the the. the the the anything. I'm a fucking guy. Look at my fucking goatee. Everyone is so mean to Morgan Freeman.
Starting point is 00:09:07 He's just an old man who's good at his job. Just trying to break his friend out of prison. You guys got to come down on him like this. I don't know what that means. Ah, Shawshank redemption. American cinema that I'm missing out on. It's pretty great. It's not for me. Yeah. Ask me how many times I've seen the Sarah Jessica Parker vehicle, girls just want to have fun. I might be able to rival you on that. You like that movie?
Starting point is 00:09:33 Helen Hunt is so cute in it. Yeah, they're both amazing. Oh, I love that movie. Yeah. We'll talk about that that obese who's been barbed wired to a chair and force fed to death. And then it kicked and burst, we're told. Can I tell you something? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:53 The first half of this movie is very gross. Yeah. It was a lot of very gross stuff. I was eating wings the whole time. And that's where I am with the special effects in this movie are fantastic. It looks amazing. And I was like, oh, who did the special effects? And then I squealed like a child, because it's Rob Boteen.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Oh yeah. All the howling and the thing. I was so stoked because I didn't realize he worked that, I mean, he worked into the 2000s. That's awesome. I just didn't realize he worked on 7. I was very excited. It does great work. Yeah, it's so fucking disgusting. The guy, the third death, the sloth death, is an amazing piece of work. Oh yeah, it's so narly. Yeah. I don't know when to broach this.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Yeah, now is the time. So, the John Doe character, who we won't reveal yet, who the killer is. I mean, it's given space. He sucks. They all fucking suck. They all fucking suck. Everybody fucking sucks. I love the idea of this movie that like, everyone has to find his clues at the exact right time.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Or all just fall apart. But does it though? Like, why do they need to find them at the exact right time. Like, why does it matter that the first picture of the sloth guy was taken a year to the day beforehand? Like, if it had been the day before or the day after, you're, it's the effect is the same. You know what I mean? For sure. It does not matter.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Oh, gross. This has been a year. he's setting up them finding everything. Yeah. But it's so like, it's so silly. It's so, so, like. He's a brain genius, you see? Yes. And that's what the movie's about being a brain genius. And that's why it has to be so long is because we have to be told over and over and over what a goddamn brain genius he is.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Well also is the same for Somerset. He is also one of them brain geniuses. Oh right he knows how to use the library. He's got some classics under his belt. He loves classical music. Right he's a brain genius. Yeah. Brad Pitt is not a brain genius. No no no he's not. Luckily they did not saddle him with trying to figure that out. I hate don't people bend a paper back like that where they they the front the front the front the front the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their. I their. I their. I they. I they. I their. I he's. I heatheatheatheatheat. I heat. He's. He's. He's. He's. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. I. He. I. I. I. I. I th. I th. I th. I t. I t. I t. I t. I t. I t. I t. I t. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. t. I'm. t. I t. of the book and wrap it around the back? Like, that's disgusting. With your fucking goatee? I'm just gonna say it again. It's disgusting. He also gets real mad at this case in less than two days.
Starting point is 00:12:14 This whole thing takes place over seven days. Yeah, yeah. He's so pissed of shitty lines, calls his wife a dingleberry. Yeah, that's weird. Affectionately? You're a little dingleberry. I mean, I don't want to yuck anybody's yum. You know what you're going to do.
Starting point is 00:12:34 But you're right that they have no chemistry, so it doesn't feel likeable or believable or anything. There's nothing about Gwyneth paltro that that that that that that's, that's, that's, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thiioletetetlipaicicicicicicicicicn, thioln, thioln, thiol, thiol, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, likerow that goes, she'd like to be called Dinkleberry. Right, right. The only good thing about Gwinneth Paltrow in this movie is that perfect red lip that she has, and I would like to know what it is, even though it's not for me. I feel like she looks so much like her mother in this movie. And it's like, like she's brushing her teeth with a stick and they're the whitest teeth you've ever seen, I feel like that's just her life.
Starting point is 00:13:10 It's true. It's true. And I would not be surprised to learn that Goop was like shilling $4,000 sticks with which to brush one's teeth also. I think I'm into witchcraft. I'd th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th would would have the I'm the I'd have the I'm thi thiol-I feel thiol-I feel thiolk-I feel like thoomo-I feel like tho-I feel tho-I feel thioling thioling they're they're they're they're they're they're thioling thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the the the the. I'm like like like like like like the. I'm like thi thi thi to get into witchcraft. That could get me in. But it would have to be rich witchcraft, which is not for which is not witchcraft. There's a need to make her a real character for the end of the movie not just his wife but a real character but every attempt to do it falls completely flat. Do you agree? I do also. Morgan Freeman not the guy you want to go to when you need advice for pregnancy. And just the fact that she even would, like it doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:13:48 He's the only other person she knows in the city. Make a friend. I'm certain you can make a friend. It's 95 or whatever going to chat room. Or just like, get a job. Oh, I'm sorry, the public schools are too terrible for you? Rude bitch. Get a job! Oh, the fifth graders, no, no, fuck you. Take your dogs to the dog park and meet some people.
Starting point is 00:14:10 You meet a lady friend there, and then you talk to her about it. Agreed. Yeah. So there's no point in which she becomes sympathetic to me. And I don't know if that's because I hate that's that's that's that. I feel like at the time she was like, this is one of her earliest movies too. Yeah. I feel like that I was sympathetic to her. Like, she seemed like she was having a hard time. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:14:34 But this was, you know, it's like trying to like get into Metallica now. Yeah, you just kind of wavedue th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. th. th. I. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is one this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is this is th is th. This is th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. This is one one one one thi. This is one one this is one this is one this is one this is one this is, that's why this movie's so goddamn long, too, is all this, like, we gotta build Gwyneth Patro up as a real person. We gotta build Morgan Freeman up as a brain genius. We've gotta build Brad Pitt up as like a loose cannon. We've got a, you know what I mean? Like, you could do all of this in a way that is much more efficient than it's in real time. It's exhausting. It's exhausting. And I feel like that was the adventure being like, no, I've read these books. I have. Have you? Oh, you haven't? Then you can't cut these scenes because you don't understand. Also, the entire movie is like sepia
Starting point is 00:15:19 colored. It's just, it's super bleak. Intentionally, so it's raining literally every day. So what's the second killing is the businessman? The lawyer, yeah. Greed. Right, right, right. And that's the one where they find the painting that's got the hand of the third guy has written, help me on the wall. Right. So they have to track him down now.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Right. And this is the greatest jump scene in this movie and maybe one of the greatest jump scenes of all time. When he's alive. Yeah. Yeah, it's fucked. Because the, the fucking, what is it, John McGinley? Yes. He's, I don't, do not forget the sea. He's the head of, like the SWAT team. And he's like, oh, this fucking guy, dead as a doornail. And then, yes. And th. And th. And th. And the the the th. And the, and the, and th. And the, the, and it, th. And it's, the, the, th. And it's, the, the, they, the, they, the, the, the, th. they, the, th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the the the the the the the th. Yeah. And he's like, oh, this fucking guy, it's fucking dead as a doornail. And then, and it's just like, I can think about that jump scene. And it makes me want to jump. Yeah, it's very stooty.
Starting point is 00:16:14 It's so good. Yeah, for sure. The boating special. It's horrible. And the air fresheners everywhere. That's such a nice touch. Yeah, for sure. The best tenant the guy ever had. Yeah. There's a lot of little details like that that are really great. And then they all add up to just this like...
Starting point is 00:16:33 But they're all condemnations of that type of city living. Sure. No one notices anything going to help anybody. The whole, the lust, that whole murder scene. Yeah. Fucking brutal and disturbing on like just a profound level. Like, just how like poor, like obviously it's disgusting, but the poor man who has committed, like physically committed the murder, they're treating him like, like he's wearing like a trauma blanket and no clothes. Get that me out of a sweet suit. He's had a really badtrauma blanket and no clothes. Get that man a sweat suit.
Starting point is 00:17:05 He's had a really bad night, you know? For sure. He wasn't doing anything wrong. Oh, it's so gross. Yeah. So they like find John Doe, the killer, via some like library records. Sure.
Starting point is 00:17:19 When you take out mine comp for go on a list. I don't think that's true. I I've I've the the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the FBI. I've the F. I'm the F. the F. the F. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I'm. I. I. I'm. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t.. t... t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t.. t.. true. I don't think that's true. I've heard that the F.I. or CIA or one of them tracks everybody who like takes out like the Turner Diaries and the anarchist cookbook and mind comp and all that stuff. But then what did they do with that? You're just on a list? Which one do we get out here? Oh no. I did like the touch where Kevin Spacey is the photographer in that one scene and you can see him just real quick in profile. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:55 And then they figured out later. And this was also like peak Kevin Spacey. Sure. Like, usual suspects. And American Beauty and American Beauty American Beauty, LA Confidential. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Before we found out that he was a.
Starting point is 00:18:09 I mean, that's a recent, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, is everyone just awful? Yeah. Okay. All right. Just making sure you know. I don't know if Brad Pitt's always, oh he's a, like like he's a terrible drunk Brad Pitt right? Although yeah I guess he's sober now but yeah. That's nice.
Starting point is 00:18:26 That's good for it. I don't know why I know that. I don't either. But he's also saying has lines of this movie like he's a nutbag. My God. He just delivered it with like the believability of like a jar of pickles. Well, yeah, that's what I mean by like, kind of like him being already in 12 monkeys or fight club mode where he's like,
Starting point is 00:18:50 everything's kind of delivered like this. Like everything. I mean, it's a self-importance that I cannot stomach. Yeah, but it also is like, you're not acting, you're just yelling. Right. You're just yelling right now buddy. And again beauty will get you so far and it got I mean fucking still going. When he has to a moat at the end where he cries and then points the gun cries and then points the gun it is so fucking funny. Yeah it is not meant to be it is so fucking
Starting point is 00:19:22 funny. I remember it being funny in the theater watching this movie. Like yeah. Like how many takes in do you think that was? That was the best they got from him and I feel like David Fincher is a director who does it again and again and again. Oh sure I feel like he's very much a perfectionist so like how did you let that happen? How did you not fix that? I'm pointing at everything in the room. Do you have the note, yo, laser a good chip? No I don't. But I do have a note that says in quotes New York pizza, which is the name of the pizza place they're at. So they are in New York. It says New York. Well it says New York pizza. That doesn't mean that's the name of the place that means the style of pizza. Kentucky. It. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that's that's that's the that's the that's th. It's the th. It's the thi thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's that's that's that's that's thi. It's the style. It's thi's thi's that's that's that's that's thi. It's that's thi's thi's thi's that's thi's that's that's that's that's that's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's the thi. It's the the the the the the the the the the the the tiase. the the the the the the the thia.a. the the the thiasease thi's thiase thi's thi's these movies take place in Kentucky. What is going on?
Starting point is 00:20:09 Kentucky has a vast and wild landscape. I like the scene where they go to his apartment after they find his library records and he just starts shooting at them. And that chase scene is forever long. I am still watching it. Also, I am not a fit gentleman. There's no way Kevin Spacey's that fit. No, he's going to get winded. No, he's doing like Batman jumps off.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Yes. And then even when we meet him and talk to him, like you don't think he's a physically fit person. It doesn't make any sense. Uh-huh. That's not the vibe that Spacey gives off. Again, bad police work. Brad breaks in without a warrant and then pays a woman to like lie to the cops. Yeah, to like tip him off. That guy was a suspect in some way. Also... The police sketch? It's so silly. Do you remember that viral video of the people in some... The police sketch of Kevin Spacey.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Do you remember that viral video of the people in some southern town that saw a lepricon at a tree? No! Hold on. Hold on. We're pausing for a second. So this is the amateur sketch. There's a viral news thing of like all these people in a southern towns that saw a lepricon in a tree. They're like telling the news the news the news the news the news the news the news the news the news the news the news the news the news their their their their their their their their their their the the the the people the people the people the people the people the people the people the people the people thing of all these people in a southern towns that saw a lepricon
Starting point is 00:21:26 in a tree and they're like telling the news about it. It's very funny and very silly. But this was the sketch of the... It doesn't have a mouth. It doesn't have a mouth. It looks exactly like the Kevin Spacey sketch. Oh, that is a tre Kevin Spacey sketch. It does. Oh, that is really. Oh, that is a treasure to behold.
Starting point is 00:21:47 That is precious. And you should hold it in your heart forever. Like when I held it up, I was like, ah, I'm the lover god. It's so silly. It's really bad. And Brad Pitt's like, no, it's good. And he's like, no, it's good. And the woman's like, wait, but he's like, no, no, it's fine. You're so shitty at this. Yes, and he's bad.
Starting point is 00:22:06 He's a bad cop, he's a bad actor. He's rolling around with dogs on a newspaper covered floor. That's where they pee in poop. That's why the newspaper's there, am I wrong? Why are those dogs only a lot in thua? apartment, he has a neon cross above his bed. As you do, when you're him. Like a shadow box for all of his crimes? It's very nicely constructed.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Yeah, for sure. But it's very like gothteen, as well. All the walls are black. It's like half gothteen, half Carnegie Museum. It's true. And there's these notebooks. These fucking notebooks. It's justtrue. Yeah. And there's these notebooks, these fucking notebooks. It's just, okay, so there are thousands of, you know, those black and white modeled composition books.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Morgan Freeman says they're placed on the shelves in no discernible order. So he throws them all over the floor. Just because you cannot discern any order doesn't mean there isn't one, so maybe don't throw them all over the floor. Katie, as we've established, he's a smartman. Oh, I'm sorry. I guess I'm a stupid man. When you get to genius level, you can throw things on the floor. I'm a lot of things, Alan. I'm not a brain genius. I wouldn't throw shit on the floor like that. No. No. No. Mm th no, mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. the th. th. th. th. to. to to to to to to to to thi. to to to to to to to to to to thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. to the. the. to to to to to to the. to thea. the. thea. there, but I don't exactly remember how it gets them to the pride woman. Oh, wasn't there like a receipt for Wild Bill's Leather or whatever?
Starting point is 00:23:34 And that got them down to the leather shop? There was something that linked them to the leather shop. That's the guy who made the fuck harness, the knife harness. Right. But that doesn't get them to the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to get to to get to get to get to get to get to get to to get to get to get to to to to get to to to to to to to that that that that that that that that that that tho.o. We. Wea the wo. Wea the woo.o. I the the the the the the the thooooooo.o. I that that that that that that that that that that that fuck harness, the knife harness. Mmm, right. But that doesn't get them to the woman who cut off her, he got off her nose. Oh yeah, I hated that one. It's very dumb. Yeah, like you know, one, show don't tell.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Two, shut up. Yeah, I don't remember how they got to her. Because that one's just like a throw away. It was like, we just need another one. Or how are we going to get pride in there? Yeah. It's super glowing things to your hands is not like, I don't know. That was so weird. It's so weird. Because like some of the crimes that he's committing are super brutal and disgusting. Yeah. The sex club one being the most file. Absolutely. And then these like slow torturous deaths and then like frat boy death?
Starting point is 00:24:37 Yeah, like that is very, it's not on brand for him. No. It's like a jackass. Yeah, it really is. And she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses she chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She chooses. She choosesass stunt. Yeah, it really is. And she chooses to not have a, she chooses to die rather than not have a nose. I don't feel like you get a prosthetic nose. Yeah, and then you've got a fucking conversation started at any party. And then you get to pick your nose too instead of being born with it. You know what you mean? You get a new, you get a two over. I mean you can pick a new nose. You. You get a new, you. You get a new, you. You get a new, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you get a new, you get a new, you get a new, you, you, you, you get a new, you get a new, you get a new, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, to, to, to, to get a new, to get a new, to get a new, to get a new, to get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, get a new, to, to, I mean you can pick your nose right now if you want. I'm not a brain genius, so I wouldn't have thought of that. Anyway, then he turns him, oh, because he's covered in blood. He turns himself in covered in blood. The blood, no, the blood is Gwyneth Paltros. When he gets taken, I don't know that yet. But I do love then then th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thu, thu, thu, th, thin, thu, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. I th. I th, th. I'm, tog. I'm, tho. I'm, tho. I'm, thin, th. I'm, thurning himself in scene. Why? I just, the like him walking in and going, detectives, and then screaming detectives and saying,
Starting point is 00:25:30 I believe I'm the man you're looking for. Yeah. Like, it's this, I know, there's like something like badass about it, but also like so disturbingly psychopathic that it's like, sure. Because this is still all just set up for what he's about to do. Right, which are the last two deaths. Yeah. He tells them that there are two more bodies and he'll lead them to them but only the two of them because he admires them. And if he doesn't, if they refuse to go with him, he'll plead insanity. Right, right, right, and get off basically.
Starting point is 00:26:07 I do want to build tension but it just builds like your aggravation with how long this movie is because it's endless to continue hearing the score. I have the note oh calm the fuck down Howard Shore. It's like flipping through a cliffs notes thing and it's that that music is playing. It's not that dramatic. It is more dramatic than fear, and that was very dramatic, for sure. That was a movie about dramatic teenagers. So he drives them out, or takes them out to the desert.
Starting point is 00:26:56 They're driving out, and there's this antagonistic conversation going on between a not-good Brad Pitt and a pretty good Kevin Spacey. It goes on forever though. Like he keeps bringing it back up. He keeps being like, don't ask me to feel sorry for those people. Like, I know, you don't have to say it again. Like, he goes through his whole thing about sinners and being the chosen one and just like to see how disgusting these people were. And then he goes through it. And then he goes tho's goes tho's goes through through tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho thr-he thr-I tho tho tho tho tho tho-I to to to to to to to to to say, I to say, I to say, I to say, I to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to say to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the. I, I the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the to to the to to the, and then they change the subject, and he brings it back around to it. I just, like, to me, the whole conversation just felt like, I know you're, I know, I know you are, but what am I?
Starting point is 00:27:31 Yeah, and it's tiresome. And it's where we see Brad Pitt get like worked up and out of control, right? Just up like, I don't know. He's like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I'm, I'm, I'm. the, I'm. the, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I. the, I. the, I. the, I. the, I. the, I. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the, I, I, I he's such a shitty cop. We did skip the part where they're putting their wires on. They're getting wired up to go out there, which gave me the note, oh look at them shaving their titties. Because I'm a child. That's meant to show us that now they have a relationship together. After these five days of working together.
Starting point is 00:28:00 I don't th think think think think useless he's utterly useless in this movie isn't he but he got him to read the cliffs notes but I know he knows a little bit Brad Pitt is utterly useless oh I know he doesn't solve a thing no does he oh no no does he no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no he's the just they're the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the at the feet of the brain genius. Okay. Whatever. Oh, and John C. McGinley is following them, whose name is California. No. Yeah, they're in New York? Oh, California, come on.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Let's go. Oh, God. Where is this movie happening? I'm so stressed out. So they drive by a dead dog. And, Kevin Spacey said, I didn't do that. I liked that. But I was like, oh is that his dog?
Starting point is 00:28:51 Is that one of his dogs? Oh, I don't know. But he's the claims he didn't do that. And then he asked what time it is? It's 701. And he says something like, well, the end is coming soon or something along those lines. It'll be here soon, I think. Yeah, yeah. The guy drives up,
Starting point is 00:29:08 Morgan Freeman intercepts him, there's a box. Yeah, it's a package delivery service and he's delivering a box. What's in the box? What's in the box? What's in the box? What's in the box? What's in the box? How do you do that sound you make? When things are exciting?
Starting point is 00:29:26 That's it. It's basically that. You know when things are exciting. He, he, uh, Morgan Freeman opens the box and he's sad. He's, he's repelled. Yeah, he's grossed. It's the only friend he has too, to be fair. I guess. Everybody else in his life seems to have died at this point. Well, he's like talking about how we,
Starting point is 00:29:48 oh, forget it, doesn't matter. You just like, he's like, oh, I've had relationships and I ruined them all. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, the one that he's like. she never forgave me for it. Yeah. Fucking brutal. It is brutal. Everything about this movie is bleak as hell. Especially since he had basically had that conversation with Quetta Foultro earlier in the movie where he's like,
Starting point is 00:30:13 you know, you can just take care of it. And she, yeah, she never said she wanted an abortion. She never even really implied it enough enough to bring it up. Because when you're to tell to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to they even really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. thi. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. th. th. the. to to that that the. to to to that. that that that that. that that the. the. thi. thi. thi. you're pregnant and they bring up abortion you're like hold on Morgan Freeman starts yelling for Brad Pitt to put his gun down throw your gun away Put your gun away put it away throw it away He give it away now they're in the desert seems appropriate. Yeah, he figures out the plan really quickly, which is that this is the last two sins envy and wrath right but here's my problem. But here's my problem. the problem. the problem. the problem. the problem. the problem. the problem. th??? the problem. the problem. the problem. the problem. th? the the th. the the th. th. the the the the th. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their the, their the, the, the, their the, thrown the the the the the this is the last two sins, envy and wrath. Right.
Starting point is 00:30:48 But here's my problem. Hmm. Gwyneth Paltrow wasn't guilty of envy. He didn't kill her because she was envious. He was the one who was envious. Right, because he gets killed for envy. Right, because he talks about like how he raped her or attempted to. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:09 But like, so she's an innocent victim. That was not his whole fucking thing. That was not, I mean, literally we've spent the last half hour listening to him, talk about his whole fucking manifesto. And that is not part of it. Well, fuck that then, then, then, then, then, then, th th th th th th th th th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thu thu part of it. Right. Well, fuck that then. Why did I have to hear it? Do you know what I'm saying? Like, it's this great master plan,
Starting point is 00:31:29 but it also just doesn't fit. I hate it. So what's in the box? Oh, it's Gweneth Paltrow's head. Yeah, we never see it. I think we should have. Don't you. After after the horrible things we've seen, we're not going to see Gweneath Poultro severed head. I deserve that. The image I got was them like the camera panning into the box and her winking. Yeah. And then the music goes even more bonkers. Like I know it's tense. You don't have to try to signal it to me, you know? I feel like the movies like, over here. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the music. the the the the music. the the music. the the music. the the music. the the the music. the the the the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the music. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the music the music the music the music the music the music the music try to signal it to me you know I feel like the movie's like over here over here are you paying
Starting point is 00:32:08 attention and you're gonna be surprised Brad Bill kills John John Joe kills him so he commits wrath yeah so he should die for wrath you know what I'm saying? I think it was just the sin man I don't I don't know no it's- no no no note. he's he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he the the the the the the the the th. He the the the th. He's the the th. He's the the the the the th. the the th. He's the the th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the think it was just the sin, man. I don't, I know. No, no, explain it to me. I don't have that explanation. My problem is that the movie is so black and white about what his fucking motivations are and then those are not them at all. I don't know. I feel like there were easier way, like people commit these sins every day. Oh my god. Do you see how many M&M's and Races Cups I just ate? Which one was that? Envy? All of them.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I lusted for them. I lust for them. I gluttneyed them. I'm jealous of you because you didn't eat as many as I am right now. I'm jealous of you because you didn't feel as bad as I do right now. That's four of seven I mean like I'm probably not gonna make it home. Alikini. So that is the end of Siss seven in. Yeah I think I put too many sisses. No it's fine. Put as many as you like, it's yours. I think I'm just going to the S-S-Suh, Sudio.
Starting point is 00:33:27 I like that song. I don't care what anyone says about it. Katie. Alan. Do you want to go to the Ruh... Aiding's face? You go first. Um, okay, so I've seen this movie a couple times. Mm-hmm. I was in a bad mood when I watched it.
Starting point is 00:33:48 It had been a bad day. It had been a long day. I was watching it late. I was eating wings, which did help quite a bit. But I just wanted it to be over, you know? Which is not helped by the fact, because I'd never thought about it in a critical way before, because why on earth would you? Sure.
Starting point is 00:34:08 But it doesn't work. It doesn't make sense. And then it's not missing something, in which case I would love for you to tell me. The only thing I'm thinking is that like, it's just showing that he was a complete lunatic. the time we're told that he's not a complete lunatic and Morgan Freeman the brain genius believes that he's not. Yeah, so like you can't have that both ways. Yeah, I don't know. I think it's a great looking movie. I think everyone in it is great except for Brad Pitt. Yeah. And Arley Army. Because like, he actually detracts. Yeah. Because it's like seeing your like shop
Starting point is 00:34:46 teacher outside of school. Yeah, like, oh, that's what you're buying at the grocery store, huh? You're not supposed to be here. What are you doing here? Yeah, totally. I don't think it's a bad movie. I think it's really self-important. And I feel like that shapes me in a way that I don't. But that's so that's so the 90s to me too. And so David Fincher. Sure. Yeah. Sure. Yeah, I mean you haven't gotten into season two of Mind Hunter, right? I have not. Did you mean he made both. I mean I guess he made. I mean I believe so. Yeah. I mean even season one gets pretty masturbatory. Like it's pretty like. Yeah. I mean. I'm. the the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the season. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I think you have to be in the mood, and if you weren't in the mood. Mm-mm-mm. I was not in the mood, and I was fresh out of time.
Starting point is 00:35:30 So it was like I had to watch it or else. I try it. It would have been a very short episode. Yeah, well, and also the night before was Robb. you want to watch seven and he was like absolutely not. So happy birthday Rob you didn't have to watch seven. Did you watch home alone? No, we watch Ghostbusters. Much agree. You know what to the This on the Tales of Ghostbusters is a hard act to follow.
Starting point is 00:35:56 It would have been good to flip flop. It would have been. But that's not the day Rob was born. So. the day Rob was born. So, it's hard because I do think it's a good movie but I think it's insufferable. Yeah and I think it's definitely one of those things like if you're not, if you're not down to clown, like it's gonna be bad. If you're not part of the wicked clown posse, you're gonna give it a seven I guess, I don't know. What are you gonna go? That's what I gave fear, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi's thi's thi. thi. thi's thi's thi's thi, it's thi's thi's thi's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. thi. thi. It's thi. thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. thi's thi. It's thi's thi. a seven, I guess. I don't know. Hmm. What are you going to go? That's what I gave fear.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Yeah. Well, you loved fear, though. I found it really tense. So, yes, I mean, like, knowing that Rob Boteen did the special effects from this, I'm just like geeked now about like how good it looked. It does look great. The special effects look gorgeous. Like the, just the veins on the gluttonous man are so beautiful in their disturbingness. And like you said, the third one of the body that like breathes, like, ugh, it's, it's too much. It is. And just the detail of him having
Starting point is 00:37:02 shoot off his own tongue a long time ago. Yeah. Oh my god And I love the the staged photos too of like showing him at the beginning of the year and then by the end of it Like those are really cool to you. I think it is I think it is kind of an important movie And I think it's important in the same way that like a silence of a lambs is but that's also a great movie. It. it. it. It. It is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is thi. It is thi. It is thi. It is thi. It is thi thi thi th is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is is thi is is is is th is is is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is the the the the th is the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th is th is the the thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I the the the the the the the the the thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi thi. thi. important in the same way that like a silence of the lambs is. But that's also a great movie. It is. It is. And I think they are also movies that like walk that line of horror. Like there are thrillers that like come over onto our side because they're so so,
Starting point is 00:37:39 they are so gory. Yeah, so grotesque. Yeah, yeah. And it almost feels like feels like like like like like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. yeah, and it almost like feels like a throwback to early horror or something I'll give this an eight. I think it's really great, but I do agree that like if you're not in the mood This is a shit time. Yeah, and it's a like watching this and fear back to back. I'm having a fucking rough week? I know why do you think I'm drinking this jar of wine? I'm? I know why do? Why do th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi We should not have done that. We need to break it up. We need to do better. But I'm glad that we got these out of our system. You know, it's a Halloween season now. We can just kind of go to bonkers and play around with some fun movies. Yeah, let's do something fun. But before we get to that, can we go to a little place that like to call mail back? Please? I'm sorry. I. What is. What is. What is. Starting point is 00:38:42 These balls are the funniest star movie viewers who exist. I'd give them more than five stars if I could. Oh, thank you. It's really nice. We are beholes too, though. Absolutely beholes. And if I may, I put a request out for questions. Yeah.

Yeah, I mean, I'm caught up on spooky times. Yeah, what does that mean? Does that mean like movies you watch every Halloween? Or is it just, yeah, yeah. Man, a movie I will re-watch and re-watch and re-watched, I guess this is the new one,
Starting point is 00:40:06 is the Descent. Oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, God damn, that's a good movie. It's such a good movie. Yeah, I mean, it's no dog soldiers, but it's good. In what world, sir? In what I did not. No I didn't. Old movies I'm gonna go with Ape Man with Bella Lagosie. Oh

Starting point is 00:41:33 It's on Amazon Prime. As was seven, if you didn't watch it. I think you might actually like it, because I put this movie in the same box that I put basket case. I love basket case. It's like silly and gross and just, yeah, yeah, it's a fun time. I tried to sell neon brainiacs on having us back to do basket case too. It came out in 1990, so I think that's probably a no-go for them. So I'm not going back unless I can do basket case too. Sorry guys.
