Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 255- Lake Mungo (2008)

Episode Date: November 18, 2019

In this week's episode, we decided that maybe we'd been having too much fun lately and wanted to bring it down a notch with the 2008 Australian ghost story "Lake Mungo." Special topics for your consid...eration include: a bit of sadness, a bit of existential dread, a surprising lack of knowledge when it comes to drug terminology, loose understandings of what a doppelganger is, boomer talk and a suggestion for a KidzBop album that is just never gonna get made.  Like atmospheric ghost-y movies? You may enjoy Episode 161- "I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives in the House." How about Australian horror? You could check out Episode 11- "The Babadook" and as a bonus, Episode 78- "Housebound" (yes, we know that New Zealand is a separate country but Oceania, right?) We couldn't really think of many fun things to do when it comes to this sad sad movie for our Youtube companion episode, so we read some very fun Mailbags and made some jokes. Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Katie. Hi Alan. How you doing? Even better? They have, have you? Yeah, but... Oh man, it's... Lake Mungo, huh?
Starting point is 00:00:26 I mean, coming off the joy of Cognetti! It's hard. It's hard. I realized I first saw this movie in 2010 in a much darker place in my life. Yeah. And I was like, oh, I like this. I can get down and wallow in this right now. Mmm. Lake Mungo. Why don't you tell me why you've selected the film Lake Mungo for us to watch? Well, I've wanted to do this movie for, uh, since we started the podcast, but it just recently
Starting point is 00:00:56 became available as a rentable, or for Free Boy or whatever. So, um, I don't know, I, spoiler alert, I fucking love this movie. Yeah. I think it is a really interesting ghost story. It, I've noticed that as I've gotten older ghost stories are what I'm drawn to a lot of the time. That's interesting because you don't believe in ghosts. I don't believe in ghosts, but they do creep the shit out of me. What do you think that is? What do you think that is? What do you that's th th th th th th thi thi that's that's thi that's that's that's that's that's thi that's that's thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi thi thi is a thi is a really really really really really really thi thi is a thi. thi. thi is a really thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th's about? Let's dig into that. I mean I think it's just a primordial fear of death situation and I think that's this movie specifically as far as ghost stories go is just an existential crisis. Sure. So because you're marching ever closer to death you find ghost ghost scarier because you're a boomer. That's a boomer I find ghost very comforting. I'm gonna be one of you soon. Ooh. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:01:47 So yeah, and I feel like this movie is also as, when you guys go watch the YouTube video for this, as Tess has said, I feel like this movie kind of doesn't get the love that it deserves. I've never heard anyone talk about it about you. Yeah. And yeah, I've turned a few people onto it, and they really have been like, hey, thanks for doing that. Yeah. Well, hopefully people will watch it before they listen to this episode. I hope so.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Are you crying? No, it's got a weird throat bubble. Are you crying? I hope they do too. Ah! a rock block of faux documentaries. Thank God not a found footage one. Although there are found footage elements in it later. There are. But I really enjoyed that because they're
Starting point is 00:02:30 shitty cell phone found. Yeah. So it makes it even a little bit creepier. For sure. It also has a real good unsolved mysteries date line. to it. It also has a real good unsolved mysteries date line. Absolutely. Yeah. It feels a very unsolved mystery's dateline. Yeah, yeah. We just like with the talking head segment and
Starting point is 00:02:50 oh man there's also a point in this movie when it's I hadn't seen in a few years and when it gets going in the beginning I was like, fuck what are we gonna talk about? This is just a ghost story. I know. And then I was like, oh shit that's a giant onion that's the th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, oh, th. Oh, the the the th. Oh, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, they, they, the, the, the, the, they, they, they, they, they, they's they's they's they's thi's thi's thi's thi. they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they, they, oh shit, that's right, it's a giant onion that just keeps revealing more and more of itself throughout it. Yeah, well, I didn't take any notes. Oh no, that's good. I feel like this is a good movie just to be in. Yeah, I didn't, I, normally, if I'm watching the movie with another person, I tip them on my phone. I just watched the movie.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Oh well. Wrapped. Well let's get into that wrapped movie. Okay. So it starts off with the information that Alice has drowned. Yes at the Errorat Dam. Right. Is that people swimming in a dam? their swim in a that the ta. tam. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tap. the the the the thamamamam. thamam. thrown. thrown. thatememem. the the the thathea' the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tham. I tham. th. th. th. th. th. th. th.rawrawrawrawrawrawrawrawrawrawrawrawrawrawa. I. I tap. I. Iwa. Iwa. Iwa. Iwa' tap tap tap tap tape.r.rawe.rawe.rawe.rawe. Iwe. Iwe. I justweree. I justweree I have never swum in a body of water that isn't the ocean. Whatever? I've never even been in a lake. Really? No, that's not true. I've been in Lake Michigan. It looks like an ocean.
Starting point is 00:03:55 I know. I think I was also once in C bodies of water, you always on it. I feel like I just grew up in some weird like fucking Andy Griffith like, you are a boomer. Because we just we swam wherever there was water. Yeah, there's a good size puddle we're getting in. That's so funny. I don't know if it's just like the difference in where we grew up or when we grew up or both, but like, yeah, I don't know. Or just like my instinctual fear of the outdoors. I will say that the bodies of water are probably less polluted.
Starting point is 00:04:33 No, that's not sure. I grew up around the, well, we find out that she's drowned. And then a little while later we found out that they find her body in the dam. Oh my god. And right from the get-go, the family feels a little bit off? Did you think so? Oh yeah, yeah, I feel, maybe just because I've seen it a few times. So like, Matthew, the brother just seems like he's overly reserved or something? I thought that was being Australian. I honestly did. I didn't, I did, it surprised me when I, when things happened, it surprised me.
Starting point is 00:05:08 The dad is very, like if you were gonna draw an Australian you would just draw the father. Yeah, I thought he was very good in this. I thought he and the mother were both very good. Yeah, yeah, for sure. So we see like archival footage of the police going and searching for her body and Yeah, it just it feels like a TV show you're watching and but it's it's also like being voiceover by her parents and her mother's like tell this this describing this moment of like driving home in the car without her and now weird it is because there's one empty seat and that just like God that pulls at you, you know, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, like did you pick this movie to make? .? th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th.this movie to make me feel so sad about the fact that my child might not outlive me? How dare you? No?
Starting point is 00:05:53 Well, it did. Oh, no. Because she even talks about how she's with, like, when she and her mother were like, morning Alice, she was like, this isn't the order it's supposed to happen.......... toe. toe. toeck. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be, toe. toeck, toeck, toeck. toeck, toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. to, toe. to, to, to-a. to-a. the the the to-I. the the the the the the toe. the the the toe. the the toe. toe. toe. the toe. the the the order it's supposed to happen. Yeah. And I just thought like, oh, fuck. But it's so affecting. And I think like, even being childless, like that is, that is just the order that things are supposed to go. And it's just like, it's the nature of the universe. Yeah, I remember.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Yeah, no, I was going to go in the the the the the the th and tho. Yeah, I remember, yeah, never mind, sorry. No, tell me. No, no, I was gonna go in a real sad place. Oh, let's not. But, and I love just like the, like, they start introducing more characters, so you meet Alice's boyfriend. Yeah, and he's such a dope.
Starting point is 00:06:35 And his sister's such a dope, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The whittles, I they're, I I they they they they they they they they they they they're, I they're, I they're, I they're, I they're, I they're, I they're, I they're, I they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, and they're, and they're, and they're, and they're just, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they they they they they they they they they they, and they, and they, and they, and they, and they, and they they they they they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the th.. th. th. they're thi. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're dumb as hell. Jason and Kim, Whittle. Oh, and the thing where they leave the porch light on just in case. Oh, I hate it. I hate it. Why did you do this to me? Because I think it's really good. It is really, really, really good. I love the thing where they go back, I think it's when they go to look at her, and mom, and mom, and mom, and to to to the body, and to to the body, and the body, and to to the body, of the car. So I like that idea too that she doesn't have closure. She doesn't have the closure that dad does. Yeah. And the body looks so terrified.
Starting point is 00:07:09 And they keep springing it on you too. This movie just like pops it up when you're least expecting it like police photos of a dead body that's been in the water a while and you're like, no, I wasn't ready. Did you forget about that bulbous corpse that we that we that. that. that. that. that. their. their. their. their. th. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the body. the body. the the the the the the th. the the th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooothat we have? Yeah, it is. And the whole thing of like, they could only drive home in reverse. It's the only gear they could go in. Yeah. It's so like, to me that scene has always put this weird like supernatural spin on it or something. Or not, but not super natural in like a ghosty wave, you're almost leaving logic behind. See, I- It's so weird. That's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's interesting, that's interesting, that's interesting, that's interesting, that's interesting, that's that's that's that's that's interesting that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's like, thi- thi-like, thi-like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like thi-s like thi-s like thi-a-a-a-s like thi-a-s like thi-a- it's so weird. That's that's interesting you thought of it as like being supernatural because I felt like it
Starting point is 00:07:50 was a very like depressing moment in their life when they were going backwards. Like they went from having two children to having one child again. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that felt very, very sad to me. Oh yeah, I guess I didn't pick up on the symbology of that. Yeah that's that's that's that's th. That's th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah pick up on the symbology of that. Yeah, that's intense. Yeah, good, cool movie. Couldn't have done Hell House 2 LLC. And if you think this is sad and dark, just a wait. Just a buckle in, get yourself a bowl of spaghetti, because here we go. I love the time lapse shots of the house at night
Starting point is 00:08:26 when they reference the like lately the house the front porch light on and then there's just like you know from dusk till dawn like the sky just real fast behind the house and like lights going past it and like gives it this really ethereal feature. Yeah definitely. It's also neat because that is like I don't I don't know film the teamnology or anything the the the th th th th th th th th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi. the the the the the the the the the house. the house. the the the the the house. the house. the house. the house. the house. the house. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. thel. thel. thel. thel. tell. thel. the thel. the the the thel. the the the the definitely. It's also neat because that is like, I don't know film terminology or anything, but that's like super crisp looking where everything else looks like handheld video shot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Like that would be 35 millimeter film and this is like, the rest of it's not. Yeah, yeah. And yeah, and like in the scenes where we have found footage, it is, you can't even see it. It's all pixels. Yeah. But that's, what, 2008 cell phone? Like, I don't even think and do that. What year was this made? 2008.
Starting point is 00:09:12 But this had happened like two years prior. She had like two years prior. I don't think a 2006 cell phone even had video capabilities. I honestly feel like it didn't. So immediately the family starts feeling Alice's presence in the house. Right. Dad sees her in her bedroom. Yeah. That sounds, that seems super sad.
Starting point is 00:09:32 It is so sad. It is so sad. When he's like, they're describing him sobbing afterwards, like, oh, I can't even. It's so fun. This is so fun. Such a good time. So they set up cameras, paranormal activity style. Do you see that paranormal activity video with the cat?
Starting point is 00:09:53 I'll show it to you afterwards. Kelly of Ladies Nightmare sent it to me. So, they set up cameras and they start seeing, and there's like a backyard photo that like she appears in and they start seeing her like figures moving around in the house. Yeah, because Matthew takes every four months, he takes the exact same set up photo in the backyard. Right. And she shows up in one. Right. And this convinces the mother so much that she might not be dead, they exhume her. Do a DNA test. Yeah. Which it is, which th, which th, which th, which th, which th, which it is, which it is th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, which it is thi, which it is thi, which it is thi, thi, thi, the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their thi. So. So. So, the. the. the. the. thea. So. thea. thea. So. thea. She's thea. thea. She's their their their th that she might not be dead, they exhume her. Do a DNA test. Yeah. Which it is her. Yeah. Fucking heartbreaking. That is the saddest thing I've heard all day. And then mom goes to a psychic. Yeah. Ray. Do you think you could ever see yourself going to a psychic? No? No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. You. You. You. I am a psychic. So. You. to. to. to. to. to. to. I. to. to. to. to. the the the the the the the ever see yourself going to a psychic? No. No.
Starting point is 00:10:46 No. All right. You? I am a psychic, so it's like I don't need to. You go to a psychic every time we talk. Well, as a ghost, I feel like we need to. That's the only way this podcast. You're a pre-ghost.
Starting point is 00:11:02 You're a boomer, which is a pre-ghost. You're a boomer, which is a pre-ghost. What have you tried to exercise me off the podcast? Then I'm going to do the Stephen King's miniseries and then it's done. So yeah, and... The psychic. Ray. Ray. I don't know what to make of Ray. Let's talk about Ray. All right. What do you think about Ray? Is Ray praying on this family or is he just really feel like a sense of guilt or like what is the like? Why is there so much confidentiality with a psychic? It's not hippie? You know? It's ghost hippa. I just I just find Ray's, I just don't understand what Ray is doing. I think my distaste for people like the Warrens
Starting point is 00:11:53 and everybody in that ilk is immediately makes this guy suspect. Sure. And the fact that like he and Matthew end up traveling together. Creepy. Creepy. Weird. Seemingly Creepy, weird. Seemingly not, seemingly fine. But it's still like, it's red flags are just blowing all over the place. And the family even says like in retrospect that it was weird that he got that close to them,
Starting point is 00:12:15 but nobody thought it was weird at the time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I mean, I assume you would you you you you you, I assume, I assume, I assume, I be searching for any answers. Oh God, yeah. I see, now, I don't know which direction, because the mother wants to search for answers, and the dad wants to just like work and be done with it, and like get past it. I don't know which one I would be. I don't think either of them are necessarily
Starting point is 00:12:35 the healthy way to go in this. I think I would just go catonic. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I the the the thia. I to just, I to just, I to just, I to just, I to just, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, the to just, the the to just, the the the to just, to just, the to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, the to just, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. thi. thi. thi, the thi, the that, the that, the the that, the the the that. the that. the that. that. that. that, that, that about that. No. Let's change the subject. To a different dead child that's not mine. Which even the dad says, he's like, I wanted it to be someone else's dead child in that like, anyone's but mine. And I, and I, fuck. I think those like extremely honest admissions that they do make this movie all the more feel like a real family. that, that, that, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi. And thi. And thi. And thi. And thi. And thi. Like, th. Like, thi. Like, thi. Like, thi. Like, thi. Like, thi. Like, They feel like a real family. Yeah, yeah. And even the like shots of them like horse playing and all that stuff like feels pretty real.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Yeah. And then I love it when you meet grandma and grandpa. And grandma, like out of the gate is like, I never knew how to interact with my daughter. And I don't think she knew how to interact with hers. And then you see the footage of them not interacting. And like mom just kind of walking past her. Yeah. Which like when the revelations come later you're like, oh my God. I know. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:13:41 But from like a storytelling, Oh, it's beautiful, but from an emotional perspective of the mother of a daughter, I'm so fucking sad. I'm so fucking sad. I'm so sorry. I didn't think this went through. No, you did. You said it's a real bummer.
Starting point is 00:13:55 That's what you said to me. You want to do Lake Mungo? It's a real bummer. I said, yeah, thia, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th It's funny because we had a few people comment on this movie, because I was asking for people's thoughts on this movie, and one person's response was more like Lake Bunko, huh? Bunko. And I was like, no, but okay.
Starting point is 00:14:18 But I could see if, like, if that emotional connection doesn't hit for you. Sure. This is probably just a snooze. A super snooze, yeah. But if it does hit for you, it's like ripping the inside of your body out and shaking it like a beach towel full of sand. But it's doing it beautifully? Oh yeah, it's gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:14:37 It's gorgeous. And you hate it. It's just the bag blowing around in American beauty. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's not it's not it's not it's no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's not it's not it's not, no, it's not. And don't ever say that again. Why is that bag so beautiful? I don't know. I always saw that movie once and I don't remember much about it except for the bag and Kevin Spades and jerking off in the shower.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Yeah. And then we see like other stuff like the Bob Smeet video. I love the names in this. And his video catches something that we think is Alice standing in the woods. Right at the dam. Yeah. And then later out we see some another family's video that shows that it's actually Matthew wearing her wearing Alice's sweatshirt and just like lurking. Which we find that he has done he has done all of these hoaxes. He's doctored all of them yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:15:38 which he has done to give his mother closure so they would exhume the body I guess? Okay that's I mean that's a really risky, really risky play. And I also love, they're like, in retrospect, and he's like, no, it wasn't a good idea. No, it was a bad idea. Also, it costs a lot of money to exhume and rebury a body, I'm sure. I mean, I have never priced it, but I'm sure it's th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thu, thi, thi, I'm sure, thi, I'm sure, I'm sure, I'm sure, I'm sure, I'm sure, I'm sure, I'm sure, thi, thi, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th, I'm sure, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th. th th thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thr thr thri thri thri thri thri thri thri thri thri. thri. I thri. I thri. I thi, thri. I know a guy. God help us. But that's so like, I think that's like the car running in reverse. Like that's like, oh, that's weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Like, not the doctoring the videos, that kind of makes sense on some level. Because you would, again, like, mom's focusing on his work. He's focusing on these videos. Right. And he was very close with the the the that he that he that he that he that he kind like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he kind like that he's kind like that he's kind like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like that he's like that he's like that he's kind like that he's kind like that he's kind like that he's kind like that he's kind like that he's kind like that he's kind like, like that he's kind like that he's kind like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, that he's kind that he's kind that he's kind of like, that, that, that, that, that, that's kind of like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like mom's focusing on Ray, dad's focusing on his work, he's focusing on these videos. Right, and he was very close with his sister. We're told that he kind of falls apart. Even though all the videos is this, like him playing grab-ass with her and like... Yeah, it's a little gross. I have the note sad family dynamic shit.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Yay! Uh-huh. So, but the videos are important because when they go back and watch them again, they see a figure in Alice's bedroom. Ugh, ugh. And it is not a hoax. That gives me the fucking willies. I hate it so much. It's their neighbor. It's their neighbor, Brett Tewy.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Do you think that his name is specifically meant to sound like someone spitting? Brett Tewy! It turns out that, uh, yeah, Alice, baby, she kept, she had a safe hidden in her fireplace or something? Yeah. And the keys, luckily, were in the safe. And, uh, they found a videotape. and it's of her having sex with the neighbor family. Well not family, mom and dad, not family, sorry. Right, not the children. Nope. And seemingly consensual. Sure. And I don't know what the age of consent is in Australia, but it's not.
Starting point is 00:17:42 It's not that, whatever it was, it's not, it didn't make me comfortable. Yeah. Yeah. But what I'm saying is it's not that whatever it was it's not it to make me comfortable. Yeah. But what I'm saying is it's not violent or like yeah. It didn't seem coercive or right. Yeah, yeah. You're like the fuck when this happens. And that was like oh fuck yeah we got plenty of shit to talk about never mind this movie goes off the rails in like a really weird way. Yeah. And they the two the twoies are missing. They they split they split they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they they they they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're the th th to to to to to th to to the to to to to to the the the the th. the the they. the their their tho. Um, and they, the twoies are missing. They split, they ran out of town. That's like six months after she died. Yeah, and must have changed their names, I guess. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:12 That's crazy. Um, they never find them. No. That's crazy. Yeah. If this was Hell House LLC, Diane would have gone and found them. Oh, Diane wouldn't, you fucking pussy. Diane is on to you. Sneaking up on you in her shiny trench coat. But this is like, it's like, oh man, this movie's pretty upsetting.
Starting point is 00:18:37 God damn it. Yeah. Yeah. Because it's her mother watching it too. She's dead. And it's like she can never talk to her about it, or like... That was my... I was like, how the fuck do you process? How the fuck do you process that this image that you had of your child is now this image you have of your child. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Also in her effects that are in this lockbox, Ray's business card. Right, right. So we find out that she had visited Ray. Right, and he, does he tell them at this point what had happened? No. So like- I don't know that they ever see the video that we see.
Starting point is 00:19:20 I hope they do. Don't you? No. I think that would be unbearable for mom. Yeah. Because of the overlap at the end. Yeah. Oh God, which also gives me goosebumps. Oh my god. So they're real mad at Ray obviously because he's kept this from them. Sure. But what we learn is that Ray, well maybe they, hopefully her parents just watch this documentary. Ray... Well, to do Lake Mungo too. Ray tells, or she tells Ray that she knows she's going to die. Or she feels like she's going to die.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Right. Like dreams of drowning, like very accurate. Yeah. So Alice had gone, we learned that Alice had gone to Lake Mungo, the titular Lake Mungo for a summer camp, like weekend sort of thing. Yeah. And-
Starting point is 00:20:15 Her boyfriend's like, oh yeah, we had this, I can't remember as her boyfriend or the boyfriend's brother, or boyfriend sister who was like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, we, oh, oh, we, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, they, they, they, they, they...e. the, they.e, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, like, oh yeah, we just figured we should finally give it to them. Like it's been two years. Anyway. So when Alice came back from Lake Mongo, she had lost her phone, a bracelet and her watch. So I can't remember who. Oh yeah, it was the, yeah, the, the, the, the, uh, Kim. And, not Whittle Kim. My face. What's the called when they do the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, tho, the, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, to-s, to-s, to-s, to-s, they-s, they-s, they-s, they-s, tho, my, what's that called when they do the children's versions of popular music? Kids Bob, Wittle Kim.
Starting point is 00:20:53 There is not a single Whittle Kim song that is appropriate that you could do right here. I remember hearing a Whittle Kim song on the radio one time and it was just her going, ah, Matt, like there were so many stretches of just... She got potty mouth. Bless her heart. She can make a whole spray can disappear. Yeah, she said that in one of her songs. Call the police. I'm like really not okay right now. I'm like really not okay right now. A lot of things are coming at me. I'm feeling a lot of things and like that is just something I didn't need. It's an Hannibal Burrest bit. The only reason I remember it. I heard that guy's a landlord. He's been on Twitter getting dragged for being a landlord. Fighting for landlords, right? It's very weird.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Geez. Yeah. So this phone footage that Kim Whittle has, I'm never going to be able to think about anything but a whittle Kim. It's so fucked. It's so fucked. Shows Alice bearing something next to a tree at Lake Mongo. Right.
Starting point is 00:22:02 So the family goes and they're like, we feel like we had to to to to to that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that was that that was that was that was very that that was very that that that that that that that that that that that was very that that th that that that was very that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that to go look for it at night. I liked that. I thought that was very like charming and funny. So they couldn't just have people seeing us digging around out there. Oh yeah that I'd see him I would be like oh I just gonna sneak out there and it's so I'd be like you make a scene while I dig. And they find a plastic bag that has the phone, their bracelet, and the watch in it. And like a necklace and some other stuff that belonged to her too. When they watch the video footage on the phone, they see from Alice's perspective her running into her dead body, walking, the body, her dead body. Walking, not talking. Yeah, the body is coming towards her. Walking dead body.
Starting point is 00:22:47 And it's the same image that they keep showing in the police photos, like the sort of bloated, dark hole. Yeah, black eyes. Oh my fucking God. It's so scary. It's so scary. And like, this sort of goes into like doppelganger, like, the like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th., th. Like, th. Like, th. Like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the of goes into like doppelganger, like the like mythology of that, like if you run into your doppelganger you'll die sort of thing. What is like I don't know that. Explain that to me. I know it very loosely. I don't have any real good facts on it but it's like a German idea, obviously with doppelganger.
Starting point is 00:23:23 There's some of them lots obviously, with doppelganger. There's some um lots, maybe you're for the piece, and it's this like theory, it's almost like a matter, anti-matter thing. Okay. Either your doppelganger has to kill you, what? Or you'll just die if you meet your doppelganger. Oh damn. But it doesn't work on the doppelganger I guess. But are they real? No, I mean, it's not like... No, I mean...
Starting point is 00:23:46 Reason of death, doppelganger. Right there on the death certificate. Yeah, they're, I mean I think there's a thing too, well they might assume your life, that kind of thing? I don't mean that kind of, I mean are they like tangible? Like tangible. Like they're they're like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. I, I, I, I, I, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I mean, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the tangible tangible yeah corporeal that's the word I'm looking for real I don't ever all god I hate myself do not you're great I'm a huge fan I'm very sad why did she bury her jewelry with the cell phone they think it was like a ritualistic thing of like I'm going to die I want to get rid of this stuff oh yeah yeah ritualistic thing of like I'm going to die I want to get rid of this stuff. Oh yeah. But just wait the fun's not over yet with Lake Mungo. Oh my god. It is such like a fun name to like Mungo. Dada da da da da da da da da da da da da da. The family kind of takes this video in stride though.
Starting point is 00:24:46 I mean after everything. So they decide they have to move out of the house. Like, after they find this video and see this, they feel like the energy leave. The ghostly presence of Alice doesn't seem to be with them anymore. Which they feel like she had set all of this up, I guess, post-mortem, so that they would know who she really was, what was really going on in her life before she died. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:14 And now that they know, she can go. Yeah. Yeah. So mom goes to have a final consultation with Ray. This is just to wrap it up, put a fucking bow on it. And Ray does this thing where he's like, okay. And they made up with Ray. Yeah, they're cool again. Ray even rubs Matthew's hair, which I was like, come on dog, he's like 18 years old, come down with that bullshit. Like, you didn't take his bee off to rub his hair. Rey's like, theyne. Rae's like they, like, like, like, like, like, like, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, th. And, their, the. And, the. And, their th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. Yeah, their their their their, their, theirique is to be like, okay, close your eyes, walk into the house, tell me what you see.
Starting point is 00:25:49 And there's these great dolly shots of them like going down the hallways in the house slowly and going into rooms. Right. Which I think again is really a theory. It reminds me of, um, I'm the pretty thing that lives in the house. Yes, this is a much better better better better better better better better better the the the the the the thet thet thet thet the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. the. thi the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. lives in the house. Yes, this is a much better one of those, but yes. And it sort of has that like Vaseline filter too where it's very like unreal. Yeah. And so it's mom saying she's gone into the bedroom and she doesn't feel Alice interspliced with Alice's final consultation with Ray where she's, I'm standing in my bedroom and my mom comes in and she can't see me. Yeah. Like all my hair is standing on end right. That's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's really, that's very that's very that's very thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, that's very that's very that's very th. Yeah, that's very th. It's very th. It's very th. It's very th. It's very th. It's very th. It's very th. It's very th. It's very th. It's really, th. It's really, th. It's really, th. It's really, th. It's really, th. It's really th. It's really really really really th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi's very thi's very thi's very thi. thiiiii's very thiiii. thiii's very thi. thi. thi's very thi. thi's see me. Yeah. Like all my hair is standing on the end right now.
Starting point is 00:26:27 That's so insanely good. It is so insanely good. Like it's so, oh man, go on. So the implication is that she's left alone in the house. Yeah. Well, someone else will move in. It was a really nice house. The final, there's a final photo of the family
Starting point is 00:26:45 as they're leaving. Yeah. And it's all three of them standing in front of the house and then it zooms in and then it's like, fuck did they see that? Because now they're gonna be all fucked up. And that's the opening photo from the beginning of the movie too. And if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and if, and then, and if, and if you, and then, and if, and if you, and if you, and if you, and then, and then, and if you, and if the the the the the the the the the the, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and, and the, and, and the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th.... And then, th.. And, th..... And if th.... And if th. And if th. And if th. And if th. And then, th. And, th. And, and then, there. Yeah. And so then they drive away and credits. Yeah. And did you stick through the credits? You know I didn't. Why do you even ask? Every doctored photo? Yeah. She's in them. So the one where she's standing in the
Starting point is 00:27:16 backyard in the middle of the frame? Yeah. The cat bars pans over to the right and she's sitting on a bench. No fucking Jesus. The one where the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the theycets. theycets. theycets. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah..... Yeah...... Yeah........ Yeah.... Yeah...... the. the. the. the. Yeah. Yeah. the. Yeah. the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. bench. Fucking Jesus. The one where the guys in the room, yeah. She's at the end of the hallway looking in her bedroom. Oh my god. Yeah. Oh, here we go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, every hair.
Starting point is 00:27:33 That's every goddamn hair. Oh my God. Uh, uh, uh, Katie. Whoa. Take me to that ratings face. Wait, I want to say some things, first of all, this ending. So the implication of the ending that you took is that like they left her, but like, maybe it's that now her mother is left, maybe she can leave too, she just has to get up and walk out.
Starting point is 00:27:54 That's what I'm going with, because I cannot live in this universe for another minute. Yeah, I mean, but just that, yeah. Like, why do they feel the spirit, the presence lift? Maybe it lifts because now she can leave. I think it, yeah, and I think it lifts like, like, their obligation is done. Yeah, they can't stay with her forever. Almost like she's relinquishing them. Yeah. She's, yeah, going to do what she's got to do. Yeah. But I, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi, like, like, thi, thi, like, like, like, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi thi thi their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their, their, their their, their, thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thii. thii. thi. thii. thi. thi. their their their their thi got to do. Yeah. But I like it's funny like this movie in Hell Health LLC have some overlap of like that thing of like they show you
Starting point is 00:28:32 footage at the beginning and at the end of it they show you why it happened. Yeah and this they're showing you things throughout the movie and at the end of it you're like oh fuck yeah it's like she's been here all along. And when you go back and re-watch it, she's there. No, I gotta tell you I'm never gonna re-watch this movie. It's beautiful and really good. I'm never gonna re-watch it. My last note is excellent spookery. Excellent spookery is definitely true. Do you want to go to the ratings face? I guess I'm writing now, yes. You go first. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:06 I find this to be one of the most haunting ghost stories I've ever seen, or read. Like this is, fuck, this is on par with the haunting for me of just like... The book, not the movie. The original movie movie. Yeah and the and the haunting of Hillhouse and Just that So much of it seems based in the world that I understand. It's not like Yeah, the demon coming out like it's not you know, it's not the conjuring. Yeah, but it's but it's like, that? It's the the, and it's almost like it's it's battering you in your heart the whole time. Oh my God. But the whole time it's also like, oh by the way, I'm still a fucking ghost story.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Yeah, it's true. This movie's a 10. Wow. This movie, the movie. Knie, go ahead. This movie's a one I never want to see it again, burn every print of it. I think it's a really, really good movie. I think I am just, I'm very soft right now, I'm still very soft. And I imagine that I would stop being this soft after having a baby. At this point, two and a half, almost two and a half years in, I am still very soft,
Starting point is 00:30:24 and now I'm worried that I'm gonna be this way forever. I would imagine for a while. That seems uncool. I didn't know that suddenly I would just be a raw gaping wound, because I am. And this was absolutely just like someone putting a very long fingernail into that raw gaping wound and just pushing it around. It fucked me up.. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This, th, th, th, th, I. This. This, I. This, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I thi. I thi, I thi, I thi, I was, I was, I was, I was, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would, I would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would would, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I was th. I was th. I was th. I it around, it fucked me up. This movie fucked me up and I was really not okay afterwards and like I watched it and I was like, the movie and I was like,
Starting point is 00:30:54 I had a day I got home early from work and I watched it and then like Rob brought Lucy home and I was like, come here and get in my bed with me and she was made her lay in bed with me and she was like, watch Tiger, because she wanted to watch the End of Tiger. And I was like, no, we need to just lay here. She was like, mom, me sad. I was like, no. I'm like almost into years. So, this movie's a nine, but I'm never going to watch it again.
Starting point is 00:31:25 And all of that is just the sad parts. It's a really good ghost story. It's beautiful and it's scary and it's bleak and it's a weird and it's just too much of me. I, a hundred percent understand that. And I should have thought a little bit more before I suggest this. I mean, I think the problem, I think you had every reasonable expectation that, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you, you know, you know, you know, two, two, two, two, I should have thought a little bit more. Oh no no no I mean I think the problem I think you had every reasonable expectation that you know two and a half years out I could maybe watch a movie where a person loses their daughter. Yeah I think also I was like teenage daughter. Teenage it's fine. I mean losing your daughter is a very good trope in horror movies and we've hit several of them recently, so... For sure.
Starting point is 00:32:07 No. Any age doesn't matter. No, as it turns out, I mean, we're blazing this trail together, you and I. Of what will make me so fucking sad. It's a fucking gut-wrenching. It's gut-wrenching. I mean, there's few horror movies for me that are this sad. So sad.
Starting point is 00:32:31 I don't think I've ever been made this sad by a horror movie. And they're, I mean, they're all about somebody dying. And this one is just like... Why is this one? I think it's just done, like, I think part of it is fitting into those like known troops of those TV, talking head, like, I think it does a really good job of that. I think it does a really good job of just revealing these things. Like I do think it would be like an onion, like just like they're gonna be the next
Starting point is 00:32:58 layer back and it's like, get ready for it, yeah. You thi. th th th th that that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, th is that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. that, it, it, it's, it's, it's, it's, yeah. You thought you're okay. Yeah. Maybe, maybe you're not. Now you're fucked up in this way? Just take that too. Take that also. The sex tape thing is like, oh now I'm like over here fucked up. Yeah. Starting point is 00:34:09 Let's get out of this funk. Let's get on a little boat that we're going to sail the oceans and go to a little island and go to a little island. You know, I'm afraid of boats going to walk over to this island This is from Jadin Christopher on Instagram. Hi Jaden Christopher Jad and Christopher says Been listening to the podcast for a little while now, and I want to say that you guys are fucking awesome. Oh, thank you. So are you? Anyways, I'm moving on don't get a big head about it. My question for your both is this? Who would you rather smoke a J
Starting point is 00:34:45 with? Oh my god. Lepricon or go up, I'm sorry, would you rather smoke a J with lepricon or go out to a bar with Freddie Krueger? Oh boy. I think that smoking a J with a with lepricon is going to be less embarrassing than taking Freddy Kruger to a bar. Mm-hmm. I feel like he's gonna embarrass you. I mean, he's, it's also pedophile. Yeah. Oh yeah. I mean, to be clear, you don't want to go anywhere with him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'd like it a lot to smoke lepricon's pot. Yeah, I mean, he might cut your finger off, but like, it'll be okay. Just don't take his fucking gold. Let him have his gold.
Starting point is 00:35:29 It's true. Yeah. I mean, he might turn you into a zombie fly girl. Remember them? Remember zombie fly girls? I love that. That's a phrase that just popped into my head and I'm shamed by it. I love that that's the only leprecone movie we've done. Oh yeah, should we do another one?
Starting point is 00:35:48 And so we should do the first one if we could talk about Jennifer Aniston for a while. I do not like Jennifer Aniston, I don't think so. Um, yeah. Let me ask you a question about the other lepricon movies. Go. Are any good? Oh, I haven't seen any any any any any any any any any any then then then then Go. Are they any good? Oh, I haven't seen them. You haven't seen any of them.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I think, no, I've seen leprecon. But you don't remember. I don't remember. I don't remember it being. It's not a comedy, like, Leap in the Hood hood come to do no good. It could be, it could be reused. Yeah. I just want to go out with leprechaunscourt and be like, what was it like to be on Star Wars? That wasn't pretty cool. He was in Star Wars?
Starting point is 00:36:29 I think he was a, yeah, I think he was an Iwak, in the. Oh I would like to say that someone on one of the commenters on our YouTube which was mad that we didn't give Queen Bav Morda enough love in the witch episode so. I had to be like who's oh yeah that's right that's right. I don't remember much for that movie. Really? Yeah there's like the brownies that are the tiny little guys. And Val Kilmer, the wig. Mad Mardigan, of course. That's all.
Starting point is 00:37:07 You don't think that was his hair? And gross hair out for that? No, I said, wink. Wiggies, wig, that ever wigged? Um, thank you, Jane Christopher. Thank you, Chayd and Christopher. an argument of why you should go to a bar with Freddy Krigger. Oh God. He's not going to buy you a drink. Yeah, I mean he's going to creep on somebody. No one wants to sit next to him.
Starting point is 00:37:29 He's probably going to drop a beer with those dumb claws of his. Let me burn our quarter. I'm going to put docking on the two bucks again. No, Freddy. Not again. People get tired of it. It's true, we've all had a nightmare on our street. We can stop that now. Yeah. I look at the idea of smoking a J. J. to the idea of smoking a J.
Starting point is 00:37:52 to the J. I would say smoking a J. What would you call it? Smoking a J. You wouldn't say like huffing a bone. Ew. That sounds like a blowjob. Or, uh, sparking a dupe?
Starting point is 00:38:18 I don't know. No, what is it? This dazed and confused? Crazy person. I'm not a Jaysmoker. No, clearly. Clearly. Clearly. You're not on that level with Jayden Christopher and me. No. One more quick thing from Mailback. Sure. Let me just pull this up real quick. This is from friend, I'm gonna say it, best friend of the podcast, Justin Gray. He sent me a text message that there is a movie called Primitive that stars Lori Petty and Wait for it, Ellipsy's next text message,
Starting point is 00:38:54 Piedy Pablo. What? What? What? What? Oh my God? Pedy Pablo acting has to be a sight to behold. Woof. Woof. Oh boy. Is it better than Buster Rhyme's doing Kung Fu in that Halloween movie? If I recall correctly, I thought Busto was competent.
Starting point is 00:39:17 Oh yeah, he did fine. Tyra Banks, and yeah. Oh my god. There are so many movies that we've done, and they're just gone for me, just blindspotted all of. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, boy. Oh, th. Oh, boy. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh've done and they're just gone for me, just blindspotted all of them. Like I was looking at what's free on Amazon right now, trying to pick something else for us to do in upcoming weeks. And I picked a couple things and I was like, oh no, we've already done all of these, literally all of them. I mean, we're a quarter of the way to a thousand, baby. One large. It looks like Beaty Boblo might make the cut at some more.
Starting point is 00:39:51 That's a horror movie? Oh my god. If not, we'll just do it for our Christmas. Are we going to do another Romcom for Christmas this year? Shhh. Don't give it away. I don't know, I'm asking you. We haven't discussed it. There's a new one coming out called Last Christmas. Oh, let's do that.
Starting point is 00:40:07 We can do it in theaters. No, I'm actually not. If I can get two free hours to myself to see a movie, I'm sure it's fucking not gonna see last Christmas. Primitive, their own. up after a makeup artist with anger issues returns home to settle his late mother's affairs. Oh I am going to see that. How can I watch it? The cast, hold on, is maybe, maybe this is no, this is a different movie. No, that sounded so good. Also P. P. P.D. Pablo is a makeup artist. Try again. Try again, Boomer. The internet's tough for me. I collect the wrong one. Try again. Try again, boomer.
Starting point is 00:40:45 The internet's tough for me. I collect the wrong one. I can't find it. I'll find it later. Oh, it's shut down. I don't know. Somebody turned it off again. Can you turn the internet off and on again? Let's see if we'll start back up. So let's tell them about the sweepstakes. Okay, it's your idea. I think you should tell tell tell them tell the the the tho tho tho tho tho the tell tho tho tho tell the tell tell their their tho tho th idea. I think you should tell them, I think it's a great idea. I may have already forgotten, and I am a boomer.
Starting point is 00:41:08 So, we have this idea to get some more traffic over to our YouTube's. Because so many people isn't the podcast and are not watching the YouTube, and that's fine, but like, engaging with it. I'm just saying, if you like this non-sensory, you'll probably enjoy that as well. And the games have gotten real good. Maybe they don't like the looks of us. I can't be true. No. You're a very attractive guy.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Yeah. Everyone likes my beard. Yeah. You have to pull on it too much. Anyway, that's a beard thing though. It's true, it's very comforting. There you go, you got it, right in your hand. So we have this idea, so we're gonna run a sweepstakes. So what we like people to do is to share a YouTube video,
Starting point is 00:41:58 ours. That's just any YouTube video. You're like, this is Baby Trash's Bar in Las Palmas. It's my favorite YouTube video. Am I in? This is I Like Turtles. And hashtag it with Video Wolf Ambulance, a very tight and concise hashtag. I like it. I feel like all the good hashtags are gone.
Starting point is 00:42:18 And we'll put you into a drawing to win the chance to pick the movie that we're going to do. We do have a stipulation. You're going to have to choose three and then we get to pick the one we want to do. Is this so you guys can't try to fuck us over? Yeah, we don't want to do any of your fucking weird rape revenge movies or any of anythanit an insurance. Okay. I think that's reasonable. And maybe we'll send you something, send something in the mail too. Yeah, maybe, who knows? Who knows? Who can say? So we're going to start this this week? Yeah. We'll keep track of everyone who uses that hashtag. And then we're going to write your username we're going to put them into a hat and we'll pull them all live on tape delay on tape delay, live on tape delay on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. What do you want to do next week? Uh, you pick. I pick Hell Hells 2 LLC. I love it. In the grand tradition of doing a movie and its sequel, I like that we are just breaking this one up by putting Lake Mungo in the middle of it. Like we did Poltergeist one and two.
Starting point is 00:43:25 We did Puppet Master one and two. We did those back to back. I like this time we're like, let's just break it up with some incredibly bleak shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just give you that good like 90s Emo vibe, and then we'll go right back into it. Hell House 2 LLC. It's on shutter. Oh yeah, yeah. And maybe on Amazon, I'm not sure. I think it is. Yeah, okay, cool. It's at least rentable on there, but yeah, it's on shutter.
Starting point is 00:43:51 And then the third one is like a shutter only. Oh, an exclusive. Yeah, and that's what it's called. B. Buh. Not a shutter only. Uh, that. that's going to be fun. Yeah, that. Yeah. That's that. That's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. that's. that's. that's. that's it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is it is that's. that's. that's. that's that's that's that's that's that's th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. thi. th. th. th. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's that next week. You can buy our merch. T.E.E.E.Public.com. T.E.E.Public.com. Go watch our YouTube channel. YouTube. Go watch our YouTube channel, YouTube.com, back slash where will famulfamuance. I just remember what I wanted to say, which is that everyone, while you're watching our YouTube videos, you should also watch Baby Trash's Bar in Las Palmas because it's my favorite thing on YouTube and has been for years and I just watch it like once a week and it brings me such joy, so just watch it.
Starting point is 00:44:31 We'll do? Yeah, I'm just hyping that unnecessarily. And while you're there enough subscribers. Yeah, only 300, whatever, 23. It hurts. It hurts, it hurts like Lake Mungo hurts, which is to say, deep in my raw wound. Thanks for listening to another episode of Wearwolf Ambulance. Bye. Bye. you
