Starting point is 00:00:00 Can I read you my first note for this movie? It says, I'm doing this because I love you, Alan. And I love you, too, and I love that you pick this movie. My next note says, I feel like I have to take a deep breath and get myself ready before this starts. You have to take a deep breath to start screaming before the credits are even rolling. For fear? Or just for rage?
Starting point is 00:00:33 Just to match the woman's scream, that's just going for no reason. That's right. That's right. Oh, I love this movie so much. Why don't you tell them about it? Tell them what we're doing. We're doing Luteo Fulc's movie from 1980, City of the Living Dead. The first in his Gates of Hell trilogy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:00:56 What are the others? What are the other? Was that? And then there's a movie called House by The Cemetery that we have to do someday because in one scene someone stabs a bat once and then the bat bleeds out of three holes and it makes me so joyful. Maybe it was like folded up a little bit, you know, like a paper doll? They cut it and then sprung the bat apart and showed a bunch of kids holding hands. Well I look forward to doing that another time you're having a bad day.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Oh, this was such a kindness. Thank you so much. Oh, please. Spoilers, it's better than Evil Dead. This movie, like, there is a warm cubby in my soul that this movie lives in. I mean, maybe then you can answer some of my questions about it. I would love to. I have a lot. Okay. First of all, this movie, is it Dunwich or Dunnitch? Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Okay. It depends on the speaker. Second. Second, in the fiction of this film, a town has been built on top of where Salem was. And- You mean Salem? Yeah, like no sir, Salem is in Salem. And there is a prevailing theory of Salem witchcraft trials deniers, because the general gist
Starting point is 00:02:24 is that people in the town don't believe it happened. What, what, what? So apparently this movie was written because Fulchie was real into reading Lovecraft at this time? So he wanted to do something like Lovecrafty and horror. So that's why it's set in Dunwich. It was originally in Salem, but they were like, no, no, no, hold on. What if we build another city on top of Salem? And it's funny because in Lovecrafty and Lower Arkham is Salem. Right. So it's like, yeah, it's just, yeah, I mean, it's pure Fulchie. I'm like, it's like, yeah, whatever, I'm close, fine. You're not though, that's the thing. Because people in Salem are super convinced it happened, you know?
Starting point is 00:03:12 It's like horseshoes, hand grenades, and fulchie films. So we get this wonderful opening shot of a Massachusetts cemetery with Kudzu in Spanish Moss because it was filmed in Savannah, Georgia. Man, I'd love to visit Savannah. I hear it's a beautiful city. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you ever read midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:03:39 It just made me want to go there so badly. Yeah. Yeah, it's got a, from like seeing pictures, it's got a real like New Orleans vibe to it. So, we have the father William Thomas walking through the cemetery, played by the actor Fabricio Javine. Says Frank Thomas to me. Frank Thomas, no. Would you say William Thomas? No, Frank Thomas is big hurt. Which means nothing to you, does it? No, I'm like, me. Okay. I'm not gonna tell you.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Wrestling? Baseball. Okay. Yeah. You're like a sport you like, quick. I meant to look this up, but I didn't. The quote on the tombstone, the soul that pines for eternity shall outspan death, you dweller of the void come Dunwich. And I was like is that a lovecraft thing or just like a I want to sound
Starting point is 00:04:35 like a lovecraft thing. I don't know because I wrote that is a wordy tombstone and I didn't finish it. that is a wordy tomb interspersed with a seance going on in New York City at the same time. Oh boy, seances. You may recognize the woman who was like the medium in the seance as Katriana McCall from the Beyond. Okay. She's amazing in this movie. And in this scene where she's just drooling all over everything. She's the younger woman or the older woman?
Starting point is 00:05:13 The younger woman. Oh, the blonde woman. Okay. Yeah, our main like, the female lead in the film, if you will. Mary. I like how Mary dies. And the older woman's just like sobbing and sobbing and I was like, well, Mary's dead, just collar up on the old seance table if it's so legit, you know? Get your hands in the circle. I love that saunce room though.
Starting point is 00:05:36 I was like, ooh, I wonder if any of my rooms in the house can be turned into that like black draped like seance area. You could absolutely do it with that back corner of your attic. Oh, it's true. Yeah, it's true. Seance corner. Get some pipes and drapes, yeah. But the whole movie is like all these interspaced scenes and stories going on, until it isn't anymore. And then problematically, this movie introduces like 4,000 characters in those first couple of scenes. It doesn't make in any way clear what any of them do
Starting point is 00:06:06 besides the spiritualists. Sure. Like, to the end of the film, I still don't know what Jerry's job is. He may be a psychiatrist or just a man who has a lot of girlfriends. So here's the thing. He's either, he says, so he seems to be conducting a therapy session when we first meet him him him him he tells one of his girlfriend's dads when he calls him that he'll be in the studio for a while. Like what are you doing in the studio? And then later when there's a dead body found, the person in charge is like, what do you think happen, Jerry? What is his job? What is his expertise? Like, I thought I would find out at some point, and this would make, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the, the, the, the, their, their, their, their, the the the you think happened, Jerry? What is his job? What is his expertise?
Starting point is 00:06:47 Like, I thought I would find out at some point and this would make sense, but it's like what is his relationship to Sandra? Is that his girlfriend? Is Emily his girlfriend? Who is it? Who? What? Yeah? Okay. I don't know. I've seen this movie a tonne and I'm still like, every time Emily shows up and I'm like, is that his daughter? Nope, not his daughter. Wouldn't kiss your daughter like that. Nope. We see Father Thomas kill himself by hanging.
Starting point is 00:07:14 Yeah. I love the scene because when he throws the noose over the tree and makes a whip noise. It does. It does. And then he like he's like, the news, the news, the news, the news, the news, the, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, too, too, too, is, is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, is,. And then he like, they show him and they show him several times, like with his mouth open and tongue lulling around, but he just looks like he's going saying, was that? I also love that he seemingly levitates up to the noose. Yeah, how'd he get there? He doesn't kick anything over.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Close enough, Lucia. And Mary falls dead having a seizure, I guess. Then they bring in this sergeant who looks just like Jerome Bettis. He looks just like Jerome Bettis. Does he? Yes. From the football. You know what Jerome Bettis looks like? Just like the sergeant.
Starting point is 00:08:01 I thought he was going to come back. He does not. This is his only scene in the film. He's also doing that great, like, phonetically speaking English thing. It makes me a little bit sad. I love this era of, we talked about this in like, in Argento movies too, where they were just higher actors from all over Europe. But they brought them to New York City to film a lot of these scenes.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Yeah, why did they do that and not just have Americans? They have Chris, I mean, they have Christopher George, this is our third Christopher George. Wait, we've done Grizzly. He's in prom night. Is he in prom night? I don't remember him. I only know because I looked at his IMDB. I don't remember him. He does not rub me the right way, Christopher George.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Of Christopher George's that I know he is the least good. And if you'd like to hear the other one, go listen to our mummy episode. Should I have not said his last name? Sorry, Chris. That's the only way I think of that, Chris. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He th. He th. He the th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's the. He's the. I to to to the. I to to thee. I the. I the. the. the. the. the. He's the. He's, Chris. That's the only way I think of that, dude. He's a full name guy. Yeah, yeah. Chris George. We probably call him Chris George in the episode now that I'm thinking about it. We're here with our friend Chris. I would imagine.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Yeah. Who the fuck is Chris? I love that. the thi' the the woman whose house the seance is taking place in is known as the great Teresa. I love that. And I deeply want to be the great Katie. And she says some shit about the book of Enoch predicting this death 4,000 years ago. She asks a number of people throughout the film if they're familiar with the book of Enoch and not a one is. Nope, not a one.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Which is funny because it later in the beyond is the book of Ebon. So it's like a different book? Okay, okay, fine. Close enough, Lucio. At this precise moment, something awful is happening in a distant town cut to Bob the pervert in Dunwich. Oh man, I was just like, what is this? What is happening with this doll? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the bonon. the boon. the boon. the boon. the boon. the boon. the the the the the the the the the the Bob the pervert in Dunwich. Oh man, I was just like, what is this? What is happening with this doll? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. I don't know nothing about no blow-up dolls, but you throw them on the floor and they inflate?
Starting point is 00:10:15 Is that how they work? I think that's't think you do. Just for a thing that you're going to fucking belly button height, the fake vagina was so high up on her belly. Yeah, yeah, it's not great. And there's like a squishing noise happening when he's approaching it and I was like, please fucking no, like no, no, but that's not what the squishing noise is. What's making that squishing noise? It's a little maggoty corpse thing. And my notes is the squishing rotten bubblegum baby.
Starting point is 00:10:54 It is a squishing rotten bubblegum baby one-hand dough. It is disgusting. But like, seemingly for no reason disgusting. What is, I mean who, what is, who, like, what, okay? Fuck if anyone knows. Because I was trying to figure out if that was like the genesis of the problems. I mean, I understand, it seems like they actually, I think, explicitly say at some point, that the priest hanged himself and that opened a gateway to hell.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Right, because when he hangs himself, a body leans up from a pile of dead leaves. I likes that a lot actually because it was just the pile of leaves was just breathing for a second and I thought that looks cool. And then it's out up and I was like, uh, less cool. But that's okay. Yeah, for sure. So is that just like a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell being a hell that that that's that's that's like a the hell the hell that's that's like that's like that's like that's like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the the the the that's like, that's like, that's like, the that's like, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. the the the the the the thi the the the the the the the the thi. thethat just like a hell-being that came out of nowhere? I don't... Yeah, because throughout the movie we're introduced to weird piles of goo and worms. Yeah, it's a theme. It's a motif, if you will. They seem to symbolize Father Thomas is going to show up. Okay, like when the bees come for a candy man. Exactly. The father tomatoes gets goo and worms. You see the trailer for that new candy man? I did. I think it looks good. I want to watch it. Yeah, me too. Because it's
Starting point is 00:12:10 got the same lady in it from Virginia Madsen. No, well yeah, she's in it. Yeah. But there's like the woman who was in the apartment with's like a continuation of the story. And Tony Todd's in it too, right? Oh, I don't know. I think I heard he was. Oh, nice. I think Chris George told me that actually. From the movie? Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Christopher George. When that guy shows up as in, he's like, hey, I'm the American. He is standing so fucking close to that cop he could smooch him. Like, why are they standing so close together? It made me so stressed. That cop looked exactly like Mike Schmidt on the Phillies. There's a baseball we both get. He did look like Mike Schmidt. But like dopeier. I mean, he's standing so close to him you wouldn't be able to make out the features of his face. Like you wouldn't be able to focus.
Starting point is 00:13:14 There's just two of him blurred in your vision. Yep. So, the reporter Peter Bell goes to the cemetery where Mary is to be buried. Right. She's being put in the ground with no ceremony whatsoever, even though this amazing, very expensive headstone with a photo of her on it is there. This movie is so fucking confused about how death and funerals work. The death to funeral pipeline is 12 hours
Starting point is 00:13:47 and fucking Emily's family shows up for her service. They have yet to embalm her. What is happening? It's just fucking bananas. I can't wait to talk about her parents. Oh, I can't wait to talk about her parents. I can't wait to talk about John John. I'm gonna explode. So Peter Bell goes to the cemetery. There's a pervert grave digger. They're moving somebody's corpse for some reason. Yeah, why were they digging that up? Why did he have to get in the hole? Why was the one guy just reading porn on their lunch break? They were having like the weirdest grave digger small talk. Fuck. Oh my god, it was so good. There's this great scene where Peter Bell walks up to him and he's like, the guy's like, what, he ain't never seen a dead body before?
Starting point is 00:14:46 And he's like, oh, what, I'm just looking. Is that illegal? Yeah, it's fucking illegal. Get out of here. Well, I'll be going. And then he lingers around long enough to hear Mary Bell. The thing is, like, she starts screaming and he like looks back over his shoulder, like, should I go check this out?
Starting point is 00:15:07 And then he turns away. And then she screams, and he looks back, and then he turns away. It happens, five count them five times. At that point, like, you're an investigative journalist. Just go over and fucking look. You don't need to draw this out. I love that they only half buried her coffin because it got to be five o'clock. Okay, here's the problem I had with that because she's trying to claw her way out of it. Yeah. Why can she not just push open the lid? There's nothing on top of her. There's some dirt.
Starting point is 00:15:36 There's... The amount of dirt that's on top of it is like if you went, it would be gone. I do relocked. Why doesn't he just open it? Because he starts like hatcheting through it. Why is there ambient light in her coffin? Why? Why? Why? Why?
Starting point is 00:15:57 I do really like the mirror fogging up as she's coming back to life, the one that's right above her face? Why is there a mirror there? That's like?..... the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, their, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, tho, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, they. the one that's right above her face. Why is there a mirror there? That's like a Victorian thing, like to see like if they're, because they were terrified they were going to be buried alive. Because they used to hang bells. The bell, I do know about bells. Yeah, I didn't know they put mirrors there. I think so if I'm remembering correctly. Oh boy. They're like, who did my makeup like this? I would never fill in my brows like that.
Starting point is 00:16:25 I guess if you woke up and you're like, I guess I'm not reanimated, that's me, I must be buried alive. Yeah, that's nice to know. This scene is one of my favorite scenes in cinema. Oh. When he goes to get her out of the coffin, Oh, using a pickax and it will strike her in the face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face face in it was striking her in the face multiple times. It is like he's hitting it right where her face is. And it's, I mean, it's like a cool shot,
Starting point is 00:16:50 I guess, of her face through the hole, you know? But still, open, open the lid. It doesn't have like a combination lock on it. Well, sometimes they do screw them shut. Yeah, they're the coffin screws. Would, yeah, there's coffin screws. They screw coffin closed. Would you say it's the final nail in the coffin, huh? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Why? So nobody can get in there and loot them? Like that mortuary guy does later in this movie? Also, he like rips that necklace off her neck. He could have just unclasped it. He can man handling her for days, days. It went down in value. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:26 So yeah, I love that seat. And then we just cut to Mary being fine and like at the great Teresa's house hanging out. Right, but in the middle of this we're introduced to the guys in the bar where the glass in the bar breaks and they all walk over to it. Yeah. Like, I don't think I'd do that. And then the cinder block wall just like snaps and the wall. The wall looks poorly constructed to be fair. But the scene is like the first time we see the subtitle of this film, eyes, these men have eyes, because it's like this guy's eyes, that guy's eyes.
Starting point is 00:18:03 Which is they do a number a a a a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a they do a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number a number they do a number they do a they do a they do a they do they do they do they do they do they do they do they do they do they do they do they do they do they, that guy's eyes, this guy's eyes, that guy's eyes. Which is they do a number of times. Oh yeah, if someone is concerned, you're going to get a close-up on their eyes. Concerned, awake, um, tired, I would say is when they do it. And then like, and then from that scene it cuts immediately to this like therapy scene I guess with a kitten. So why do you feel like you wrote about incest? Yeah, why did you choose the topic of incest? You know what else? I hate when my therapist stands while I'm talking to him?
Starting point is 00:18:38 What? And then his girlfriend just walks in and starts like talking about shit. He's not licensed, he can't be. I mean, and then she's the first one who does like a Salem witch trial denier. She's like, I will not be told that our ancestors were Salem witch trial burners. Like, what are you fucking talking about? It's so clearly happened. So she's doing a thing which I wish would have it at my own therapy.
Starting point is 00:19:08 She's getting a pet and adorable kitten. Yeah, it's cute. And we cut away from her for a second and the kitten gets spooked by something? Screams like a full-blown cat and then someone throws the kitten across the room. I mean, it's so Italian. Later in the movie, there's also another bit of animal tossing that's very funny. But then the kitten like hits the chair, falls down and just kind of goes back to sleep. Like, I was sleeping.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Yeah, he looks just like moderately dazed. But Sandra has a big wound because the cat, I'm not even sure why the cat matters. No, just because it got spooked by something happening, you know, just the ambience of Dunwich. All right. But Emily's going to see Bob at this point. And we're like, who the fuck is Bob? Well, Bob is a sick and lonely kid as Emily says. Women like unreasonably love Bob. The woman who straddles him later in the car. Yeah, like Emily is super close with him. I think that's Anne. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Her bralessness are just on top of him. I have said a note here that says, I have not the faintest idea what's happening. Yep. Oh, fuck. So, Peter Bell and Mary have to go on an excursion to find Dunwich. She's like, yeah, it's all going to happen on midnight Monday. And I was like, wait, midnight leading into Monday or midnight ending Monday. Like that's kind of a bad way to describe something of timely importance, you know,
Starting point is 00:20:57 midnight Monday. Well, it's All Saints Day, that holiday that no one has ever heard about in this movie. And I have a hard time with that. These people are clearly Catholics. You know what the fuck that is. Isn't it the day after Halloween? It's the day before. Before? Okay. Let me double check of that. I don't want anyone to be mad at me. You don't want the Pope to send an email in. Hey Katie. I noticed you got an All Saints Day wrong. I'm gonna Pope. I'm gonna Pope. You know you're right, it is the day after Halloween and then all
Starting point is 00:21:33 Souls Day is the next day. Gotcha. Yeah. Sorry Catholic family, I did a bad job. I was never paying attention in church. It's me, Sydney's mom from Scream 3. I just have the biggest heart on for Halloween so that's... No, it's fine. It's fine. Thank you. I mean, all I know is that the Halloween parade is a Thursday before Halloween. That's what you need to know. That's what I need to know. Oh man. She's going to see Bob. Yeah. And when she, oh fuck what happens, she goes to the garage that Bob is supposed to be hanging out at, she finds Bob crying. Yeah, and she's like Bob, Bob, what's wrong? And he doesn't answer her and just runs away, I think.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then... Okay. There's a loud cat screaming noise. And then she gets worm-palmed by Father Thomas. Yeah, she's like, Bob, I'm afraid. And then it's like her legs don't work and she just hits the ground. And Father Thomas appears out of nowhere with a palm full of worms and goo and starts rubbing it on her face.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Why? Why? Why? Why? Then we cut right back to the shrink's office. Jerry's. Do we? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Uh, and that's where Emily's dad calls Jerry to see if he's seen Emily around. Talk to me about Emily's mom and dad. No, you talk to me about Emily's mom and dad. I want to talk about John John. John is Emily's brother. Yeah. He's a lot younger. And Emily's mom and dad are like in their 70s and John John John is 10? Nine, yeah. There's no way that Mrs. Emily's mom bore John John John is 10? Nine yeah. Yeah, there's no way that Mrs. Emily's mom bore John John. There's just no way I love that they named him John John because the story takes place in Massachusetts and the Kennedy's Oh my god, the thing is just like he's intro- the child's name is John John John
Starting point is 00:23:43 When they introduce this fact they see it three times in 10 seconds, like the dad's like, John John, I think you should go outside. And then Jerry's like, come on, John, John. And then he immediately says, John, John, you need to be brave. And I was like, holy fuck what is happening? Like, what is happening? But before we see that, there's the scene where the people are in the car making out. Oh, not people. That's Michaela Suave.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Who was the demon man from demons? He's the guy in the half metal mask that like brings all the ruckus in the movie demons. Which one is demons? Motorcycle, Katana Blade, helicopter falls there, movie theater, yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah. Holy shit, she's a friend of mine. Yeah. Is that? I don't read Latin. Oh, yes, I do. Yep. And Kelly Swalbe, I think is the one who delivers that line. Gotcha. Yeah. This scene is fucking nuts. Oh, it's so good. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:24:47 They quickly do a like, this man has eyes too. This woman has eyes also. And then she starts like crying blood, which looks dope. Yeah, they're making out and then they hear a noise and she starts crying blood. And then I was like, oh, this seems like an unpleasant way to die. Oh my God. She literally barfs up her own guts. It's officially hot dogs on the outside. Do you want to know what that was that she was puking up? Let me think. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:19 It's veal intestines. I gotcha, yeah. Because at one point, it's a, it it's like a it's a wooden face with like painted teeth and it looks so bad. I would like to read you the sentence from the end of the production portion of the Wikipedia page. Okay, okay. Where it says, this scene was performed by having Daniela Doria spit up baby veal intestines and then having her head replaced with a replica for further vomiting. Yeah, yep, that sounds right. That sounds like the movie I watched.
Starting point is 00:25:51 That's the movie I watched. So she's puking up her own intestines, which is fantastic. Oh my god. It's worth a price of admission. And then we see the priest like hanging from like a balcony by his news. I guess. And then there is a hand in the car ripping off, which happens multiple times in this movie, ripping off the back of McKellay Suave's head. Yeah. But it's an African-American man's arm. Yes. Yes, I had no idea who it was and then I at first I was like is scalping just somebody's like signature kill but it isn't they all do it.
Starting point is 00:26:30 They all do. Like do you think they just had a bunch of scalp prosthetics and they're like we got to use them? I just love that like whatever hand they're strong enough just like to like touch the back of your skull off? That's gross. Because there's brains like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their their their their their their their. their. their. their a their a their a their a their a their a their a their a their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. touch the back of your head and rip the top of your skull off. That's gross. Because there's brains. There are brains right there. Right, they're pulling, it's like the hair and skin is creating a suction that's pulling up a chunk of your skull. So it's pretty strong. It's... Oh God. So Emily's body is found in this basement or wherever Bob was hanging out. They call her boyfriend down to come look at her, which seems like uncool. And they ask him what got her. Jerry, he doesn't know. The ultimate thing that they decide is that she died of fear.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Yeah. Yeah. Well, when you have Dr. Luccio Fulchie come and tell you... Oh, was that Lucio Fulc? Yeah. Boy. Oh, buddy. As, hold on, what's his name? Dr. Joe Thompson. Come on. Close enough, Lucio. Oh man yeah I love that like they're just like Jerry what do you think happened? This is his dead girlfriend I think it's his girlfriend. Who knows? Jerry Pride doesn't know. What are you doing? Because later he is super snuzzly with Sandra. Immediately he's super snuggly with her. Yeah. What the fuck? Is she is patient? Because if so that's extremely unly with her. Yeah. What the fuck? Isn't, is she his patient? Because if so, that's extremely uncool.
Starting point is 00:28:09 I don't, I don't know what's happening. I've seen this movie so many times and I have no fucking idea what's happening. So let me ask you this. Going into this recording session, were you like, I wonder if Katie's going to ask me what Jerry does for a living? Nope, that was the least of my question that I thought. All right. When we go to the funeral home, Jane Holden has her nameplate on her coffin. She died that day. She died that day. She is imbalmed. She is imbalmed. She is imbalmed. She is imbalmed. She is imbal day. It made me so happy that she has a nameplate. She died that day. She is embalmed, made up, in her coffin with a nameplate on it. She died that day. None of the other coffins have name plates. They do have bodies in them. Yeah. And the only reason I can think of, and this is a rare continuity
Starting point is 00:29:05 thing, is that when we talk about Jane Holden later, they're going to be like, you read her name on her fucking coffin, you should know who we're talking about. Right, that's true. That's true. It's just like, I just don't understand any of it. Like literally all of this happens in one day. She's ready to go. She also died of fear, which you think at that point, you two people dying of fear, you might want to do an autopsy, especially when one of them's like a 19-year-old woman. Also, Bob is being blamed for her death because he apparently, apparently they think that he may have tried to molest a child years ago. And then he just, like th th, like th, like th, th, th, th, th, th, thu thu thu thu thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to to thi, to to thi, to to thi, to thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, just like scared her to death? Yeah. Okay. Pure fear. Pure fear. So her family
Starting point is 00:29:48 shows up to in suits and ties, you know, ready to go. Then it cuts to wear her bodies, which is just getting involved. Maybe scheduled for another day when you have more time to do the job. In Dunwich, Georgia, Massachusetts, you've got to get him in the ground fast. Right into the turf. Right into the turf. t. tu. tu. the tu. the tu. the tu. the tu. the the tu. the the the tu. tu. So. So, the the the the the the the the the the the the their. So, their. So, their. So, their. In Dunwich, Georgia, Massachusetts, you gotta get him in the ground fast. Right into that, right into the turf. But not the end of the day, because at the end of the day, they're just gonna leave you there. So like, Jerry's over at Sandra's house, he, she's like something insane is happening, I need a drink. And he's like, you drink too much as it is. And then in literally the next scene,
Starting point is 00:30:30 he's like drinking is the best medicine. Is this before after we see her painting the head of a rhino over ocean waves? I somehow missed that and I am bombed. I am deeply bummed that I didn't see that. Well, she sees Jane Holden in her house. Yes, she's just laying on the ground in her kitchen. This is after Jane comes awake and bite, no, she bites the mortician later, I guess. Yeah, because she just appears in Sandra's house and we don't really know why. And Emily is appearing outside of John John's window, like taunting him while his rocking chair is rocking.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Oh, it makes me sort of sad for poor John John John. Yeah. John John has a rough go of this. Got the ending of this movie. But then Bob shows up at like the house of one of the guys who was at the bar and that guy's daughter is like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, t. tot, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, tod, t. their, like, like, like, like, like, like, to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, to. And, to. And, to. And, to. And, to.... And, to. And, to. And, to. And, to. And, to. And, to. And, the the the to. And, the the the the the to. to. to. the to. to. to. the to. the to. to. the to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the to. the the to. of the guys who was at the bar and that guy's daughter is like just putting her tet-tets all over him. And like Anne's dad comes running out and I'm just like, I don't think this is smart, Anne's dad.
Starting point is 00:31:39 I don't think this is a good move what you're doing here. You mean drilling Bob's head? Yeah. It's like it it lingers forever on the drill approaching his head and I was like I'm not sure if this is building tension. I have the note hey they're gonna drill Bob's head, this will take a minute. Yeah, you could get up and get a snack. For sure. But I love the effect of it going into his face and then out the other side. Yeah, the, uh, the, uh, the, uh, out the other side is like very gross. Like, it's really gross. It's really good. So, all this time we're seeing Mary and Peter trying to find Dunwich. For most of this movie, I kept forgetting they existed. Because every time the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th th th th th th th th th th th th th. For most of this movie I kept forgetting they existed.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Because every time they popped up I was like, oh yeah, you too. I love the dynamics in these movies and by love I mean thing is laughably ridiculous. Of like, the men immediately just being like, this fucking broad. And she's like, hey, I'm hungry. And she's like, hey, why don't you go eat fucking dirt. Get away from him. You hysterical monster. And then she's like, oh, come on, coy, coy, coy, coy, coy, coy. And he's like, yes, let's snack. Why don't we slide across these bench seats and drive on?
Starting point is 00:32:58 Yeah. But when they find the priest, it's like, oh yeah, Dunwich, it's this old dirt road that's blocked by a landslide. It's like, this is a fucking functioning town. What are you talking about? There are children and like elderly people and families living in this town. Yeah. They're not making that Miller Light themselves.
Starting point is 00:33:21 It's not Silent Hill. So Mary and Peter meet Jerry and Sandra in the cemetery. And they go back to the thing. So this is my favorite scene in the movie. Jerry's like, I don't understand. I don't understand any of this. And Peter's like, and you probably won't. Jerry's like, well, try me. I'm ready to understand. I'm ready to believe anything at this point.. And. And. And the. And the. And the. And the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the the th. the the the the th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the to. the the the the the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. you probably won't. Jerry's like, well, try me. I'm ready to understand. I'm ready to believe anything at this point. And then the next scene is just Peter saying,
Starting point is 00:33:50 and that's the whole story. And I'm like, wait, no one wants to to didn't need to know? No one wants to hear this again. They obviously know what's going on. They've watched this whole movie. No fucking idea what's happening. So Katie. Yeah. We are about to experience the scene.
Starting point is 00:34:17 The scene that I stand by the statement, Lucio Fulcci should get a posthumous Oscar just for this scene in this movie. After Peter explains what's going on, the windows in the room they're in kick open, and a maggot storm blows in. You can see the hose. You can see the hose. You can see the hoes, you can see like the tube where the maggots are shooting out of.
Starting point is 00:34:45 That's what I'm saying. And then you can see the glue that's holding the maggots on their faces. It's really funny because if they were, if they were in a situation in which maggots were shooting at you and you weren't expecting it, you would definitely like claw at your face. But they clearly weren't allowed to because the ones that were glued on were so precariously on there. Sandra's lips are so tight. She's like, don't blow a fucking maggot in my mouth. Don't bull shit. Honestly.
Starting point is 00:35:12 She throws up and I, was that real her throwing up? Because I thought to myself, there definitely didn't mean to do that. And they put that in the movie. She fucking barfs and it's real. I have three notes in a row that are so many maggots, then it's over. Magget Storm, I love you. I wrote, maggot storm, ha ha, this is horrible. Oh, there's the hose, and then this is unconscionable to do this to people. When the phone rings and Jerry walks over to answer it and it's covered in maggots. Oh, it's not good for me either. I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:35:59 I'm going to sand to this shit. And he answers the phone, yeah, who's speaking? As you do, here in the Americas. Yeah, who's speaking? Yeah, that sounds like something my kid would say, honestly. New phone, who does? Oh, God. So, then there's a scene where the wind wind is blowing really hard and the women are taking...
Starting point is 00:36:28 Oh, because John John, it's John John on the phone and he's saying that Emily has killed his parents. And so, the men go in to see the bodies and the women take John John out and they're like, and one of them's like, you want to get in my car? And the other one's like, yeah, but then they they they they they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they they don't they they they're they're they're they're they're like, they're like, they're like, they they're like, they're like, th th the. the. the. the, the, the, the, the, the, th. It's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And they're they're they're they're they're they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, the their their their the. their their the. their the. the. the. the the. the. the. It's like, the. It my car and the other one's like yeah but then they don't get in the car they just kneel on the sidewalk next to it? Why? Why are they kneeling next to the car? I don't know. Okay, just thought I'd ask you. I love the scene where they go to the house and we don't see the dead parents. We just the dripping from the ceiling that was obviously just blood that was sprayed in one spot until there was enough so he could drip down. And it's dripping into a glass of milk. And I love this so much. Milk and blood is a weird, disgusting combination
Starting point is 00:37:18 that I have a really hard time with. It's real gross. Yeah. So this, they go outside with John John and one of my favorite things starts happening. There's like this whooping bird that I'm 80% sure is a monkey noise. It's like something going, ah ha ha ha ha. I mean, that could be something in Savannah too. It's gets a little tropicaly there. It's true, it doesn get monkey there. No, no, no. I just meant they have different birds I guess. Not that says New England like kudzu in Spanish moths. Yeah, there's a sign in the bar for a
Starting point is 00:37:57 Koki malt liquor and I was like this has to be very far south, you know, because they're in Puerto Rico. Are they really? I mean, cokeys are, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Also, this really pissed me off. And this is just another close enough Lugio. John John is wearing a Yankees jacket. There's no way that kid's a Yankees fan.
Starting point is 00:38:20 He's in Red Sox territory. It's just like you didn't even think about, you didn't even ask anybody. I think that is like, oh he's an American. He loves the Yankees. Yeah, but there's just no way that a small child growing up in Massachusetts is a Yankees man. This is just no way. He would be stoned. Yeah, literally there is. He wouldn't He would be stoned. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He would literally, there. He would there. He would be, he. He would be, he. He would be, he. He would be, he. He's. He's. He's, he would be, he would be, he would be, he would be, he would be, he would they. He's, he would they. He's, he would they. He's, he would they, he would they, he would they, he's they, he's they, he's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. He's a th. He's a th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's the wear the jacket anyway, especially that little, like a little kid like John, John, you know. How did you feel about the zombies killing the three dudes at the bar? Indifferent, I guess? Is that where I have the note that says scalping so nice, he scalped it twice? Because I didn't realize everybody was going to get scalped. Yes. These are some of my favorite zombies. I love zombies where it's just like kind of rub some stuff on their face and they're dead people now. Like when Michaela Suave comes walking into the room and he's just kind of got like puddin on his face. Yeah. They're also like making the same noise that the Grizzly made in the film Grizzly also the Christopher George vehicle where they're just going, huh. I forgot about that asthmatic bear.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Yeah. Oh my God. Peter, Mary, and Paul. I wish. Jerry, the other biblical reference and folk group of the 60s. Um, have to go to the cemetery. Cassandra's dead now, too. She's a zombie too, right? Yeah. She's, she's, yeah, she, she. She. She. She. She. She. She, the. She, the. She, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the the the the the the th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the, the, the, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thea. thea. thea. thea. thia. thea. Yeah, thea. Yeah, thi. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, the the the 60s, have to go to the cemetery. Cassandra's dead now too. She is a zombie too, right? Because we see her later. She, she like gets killed by Emily I think, but Emily was standing like right there and Jerry didn't see her when she's like menacing John John? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:39:59 Like are you really not that observant? There's a zombie? Literally right there. I can't figure out like the, the mechanationsations the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. the zombie. to to to to to to to be zombie, to to to be zombie. too. too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too. too, too. too, too, too, too, too, too. too, too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. the to. the the the the the the te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. too. te. too. too. too. too. too. t's a zombie, literally right there. I can't figure out like the mechanations of these zombies because they like blink in and out of existence. Yeah. It's really like displacer beast zombies that just kind of come in and out? It doesn't matter, does it? No, God no. It's just, it's a what looks cool, right? I guess, yeah. I love that they have to go to the family crypt and it is huge and underground. Yeah, although should it be that hard for like three healthy people to open a tomb? I don't know. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:40:35 I don't think so. I'm no Laura Croft, Tomb Raider, but I don't think of what, if you open that tom. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, to, the, the, the, the, the, to, the, to, the, to, to, to, to, to, to, tho, tho, tho, tho, too, too, too, th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, tha, tha, th don't think so. I'm trying to think of what, if you opened that tomb and there was a ladder, like what you'd have to do for me to go down that ladder. It would have to be like to save the life of one of my most loved people. Sure. Otherwise I'm like, fuck it, hell no. Let the orphanage burn if that's what it is, you know. I love that, like, Father Thomas has just been buried like a week before, when they open the tomb, it is covered in cobwebs.
Starting point is 00:41:13 It's just insane. I love that, uh, when they have to like open his actual like crypt part of the tomb or whatever, they open like a little chunk of it and someone on the other side of it throws a rat and Mary. Mary. Mary. Mary. Mary to Mary to Mary to Mary th and Mary. Mary to Mary th at at at th at th and Mary th at th at that at Mary that at Mary that and Mary. that in Mary. Like that in Mary. It that that that that that that thi thi thi. This thi. This thi. This th. This th. This thi. This their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. thi. thi. thi. thi. It. It. It. It. It. It. It just just just just just just just just just just just just just just thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's just thi. It's thi thi thiia. It's thiaugh. It's thi. It's just thi. It's of it and someone on the other side of it throws a rat and Mary. Like it just hits her, she's like, what the fuck? The rats are so funny because they like, they, so Sandra, the zombie comes out and kills Peter by scalping him. And how the fuck did she get behind him because he was looking right at her. Yeah, man, blinky zombies are going the the the the the the the the the fuck did she get behind him because he was looking right at her? Yeah, man, blinky zombies are gonna move wherever they need to.
Starting point is 00:41:47 He's literally making eye contact with her and then the next cut is her behind him pulling the back of his head off. And then the rats are just like, me, me, me, me, eating his brain. They just hopped right on it. It was like a goddamn piece of pizza them. And then Mary starts crying crying tears tie to to to to to their to their to their their to their to to their to their to to their their to their their s to to their s to to their s to their to their to to their of pizza to them. And then Mary starts crying blood. And then Jerry starts crying tears, but was basically like, you're going to have to get the eye drops because I'm not really going to cry. When Jerry stabs Sandra in the stomach and she falls down and she's got a big, fat bubbly stomach. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:23 The thing about this movie is that nobody ever runs away. Like, these are the slowest of slow-moving zombies, and nobody even cares to escape them. They just stand there and wait to die. Yeah, it's just freight. It's locked you in place. Oh, right, that'll kill you. Were you surprised that Peter died? Uh, yeah, I guess so. Not, I mean different to it, but I was surprised, I expected him to make it to the end. I love when Jerry and Mary, Mary and Jerry,
Starting point is 00:42:54 go to the next level of the tomb, and they look out and there's all those dead bodies hanging down. Yeah, why, how are they hanging from the ceiling? So they're in the cemetery. They're now below the cemetery. So those bodies are falling out of their graves downward. And I thought that's like that was a really awesome looking set. That is very cool. And very like lovecrafty and he's got all those stories about like ghouls living underneath cem eating the bodies and stuff. Yeah, I just ran an adventure in which. They they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're th. So. So, th. So, th. So, th. So, the. So, the. So, the. So, they're the. So, they're they're their they're their they're they're cemeteries and eating the bodies and stuff. Yeah, we I just ran an adventure in which ghouls were living in tunnels under a cemetery in Salem. Yeah, they're hard to fight. They're hard. Those ghouls. Tough. Where this one there may be more. They're like deer, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Or skinheads. Oh no. Did you like that guy that appears behind Jerry and is wearing basically like a killer clowns from outer space mask? What was that about? Who knows? All right. Father Thomas appears in like the chapel underground, something or other? It's our stained glass. So, stained glass?
Starting point is 00:44:05 There is stained glass and there's light shining through it, okay. And they stab him with a cross in his guts. Right, no, it's right in his peeper. Oh, he gets stabbed right in the dick. Okay, I'm just telling you. And he starts to burn and then all the other zombies start to burn and we get so many firewalks. Yes, they look like dangerous fireworks. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Like they might not have suits on. Right. Or they just got lit on fire. A half a suit, they just had the pants, you know? Well, like your legs on fire and you're top. Close enough, Lucio. Like, this is where I started getting confused. Like, he's, was... No, let me say, this is where I was hoping to piece it all together and was not able to. So, the gates of hell were open when the priest killed himself. Was he a bad guy? Because, like, is this about Catholic guilt? Like, he committed suicide, which is a sin, and that's why the gates were open and he's a holy man? Or is it just, does it not matter?
Starting point is 00:45:08 I think he was corrupt. He was like a bad dude and he did this to make this happen. Because when we first see him, he's like real goulish looking and he's got like, they like, they like, I thought he was sick. No, I thought he was killing himself because he was sick. Oh, I've always just assumed he was evil. Okay, maybe you're right. He had like a weird boo-boo on his eye, you know? I thought maybe he was ill. Yeah, I was like, oh no, he has an illness. And he's tired. It's tired.
Starting point is 00:45:37 He looked tired. So they, uh, so yeah, everybody's lit on fire and you're like, oh, it's the end of the movie. So these fucking Mary and Jerry climb back out of the tomb, and the cops are there with John, John, John. Yeah, John starts running at them, like, he's going to be their kid now. Yeah. And then ominous music starts, and the screen splinters. Why? It splinters on John John.
Starting point is 00:46:05 Like, is he a zombie? Is that what's happening? Why? Because their faces change. Like when they see John John, they're like excited, happy that he's okay, they're okay. They're going to embrace him. And then their faces turned to like, huh?
Starting point is 00:46:19 In the footage we're seeing he's just stoked. Yeah he just wants to be with them and he doesn't have a family anymore. My last note is good tight ending. Mine is wait what? They mean the same thing. That's the last note I have about the actual film. The final note I have is about the credits and it says the third build credit is Rita Agostini and Donatella Body who did continuity and I feel like they should be fucking ashamed of themselves. That's the third build credit is continuity. How dare you put that at the top like it was one of your strengths? How dare you? Oh man, Katie.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Alan. You want to move to the ratings face? It's a spicy meatball. Yeah. This movie's so fucking stupid. But it's also doing what Evil Dead was doing, but so much better in terms of like effects and fun and gore. And I don't know if it's just like the watching it back to back with Evil Dead and being sort of like let down by that because I wanted to like it a lot more
Starting point is 00:47:31 than I did. And this I assumed I was really going to be like oh fucking how. And then when it ended I was like, oh that was fun. But I enjoyed it. I honestly did. I don't know if something has changed in me that I can watch this now, but when I remember watching the Beyond and just being like, I cannot believe I'm spending my time on this. Seven and a half. Oh, I love it. Yeah. You?
Starting point is 00:47:59 Uh. So I want to preface this real quick with saying like, we've gotten some pushback because I often refer to Lutio Fulchie movies as bad movies. You're, no, they are though. I will argue this all day. They are bad movies. But I also mean that in like a really loving way. Sure. But there's no denying that they're bad. I have seen that pushback, and I have in my head been upset about it. There's just something so like delightfully fuck it about a Luchio Fulc movie. I think close enough Luccio is like the perfect way to describe his movie making style.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Yeah, he does, he can do atmosphere really well. Sure. The special effects are great and ridiculous in this movie. Absolutely. This movie's a 10. I fucking love this movie. I knew it. Well, I'm glad for you. I was going to say just another movie. And when you sent me that text with this movie,
Starting point is 00:48:52 I was just like, like, the heavens, the heavens, the heavens, a tea. Oh, oh, oh. Oh, thank you for enduring another Fulch. Is that our second or third? So we've done the beyond zombie. Oh, right, zombie. Yeah. Yeah, we still have so many to get there. I know, well remember we're going to do this till we're dead. It's true. We will never do the New York Ripper, if it's for anyone asking.
Starting point is 00:49:32 Nope. It's, if you think falsie doesn't like move, doesn't like women in most of his movies. Okay. I know a lot of people swear by that movie but it's too much for me. Fair. If it's too much for you, it's way too much for me. So, yeah, yeah, for sure. Thanks for doing that. Uh, do you want some more mail bag? Sure. All right, let's do a little mail bag?
Starting point is 00:49:53 Mailbag me. Do you like a little review in our mail bag? I would love a review in our mail. Oh, thank you. That is incredibly kind, caboose 238.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Yeah. That was very nice of you, caboose, 2, 3. Thank you. Not to be confused with the other 237 caboos. They were like caboose one no taken caboose two no taken caboos three are you kidding One more real quick one okay. This one is from six double five three two one six double five three two one okay. What is that the Fivonacci code? It says I am legion. Hey Katie and Alan two words. Immaculate Perfection. This is my favorite
Starting point is 00:51:49 podcast. I've listened to almost every episode, but I listen to a whole raiser two weekly. Alan's laugh brings me a whole lot of joy. That's wonderful. Katie is incredibly funny and very chic. What? That's not true? Can I can you describe to them what I'm wearing right now? It's a t-shirt? It's a t-shirt? It with the neck cut off and it's number 31 Pittsburgh Pirates, Jose Tobed off. It's very chic. And there's a PS, I'll be your cinema slave. I don't know what that means, but it makes me feel weird. I have no idea what that means. I'm not in the market for one as far as I know.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Thank you, six double five, three, two, one. Six, double, five, three, two one. Thank you. Is it going to be like years later when I realized that that theia is the 666 Mafia? Really? It took me years to figure that. I know, I know. I should have known, I love Satan. You do, you're a Satan guy.
Starting point is 00:52:54 But not that kind of Saint guy. Hey, speaking of Satan, what do you want to do next week? The remake of Emityville Horror with what's his face in it? Yeah, the guy. The Sandra Bullock guy, you know? Sandra Bullock guy, is he in Sandy Bullock movies? I think probably. Yeah, probably. He looks like Ryan Reynolds?
Starting point is 00:53:13 Yeah. Isn't he in Marvel movies, too? Yeah, he's Deadpool. That's the one who, um... Can't be killed? Isn't that all of them? He swears a lot. You see his little baby penis at one point. It's a very weird movie.
Starting point is 00:53:30 What? There's baby dick in one of these movies? Yeah, he can regenerate body parts. And at one point he gets completely blown apart and they show, I'm sitting on a couch with no pants on, and he has a little baby wiener that he's regenerating. What? People like this shit? Where am I going wrong with my life that I'm not making this shit? I don't know you'd be making literally billions of dollars. Please I need my billion of dollars money printer please.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Yeah it'll be a baby dick. I need to make a Star War and a Marvel movie. From the people that brought you, let it go, comes baby tick. All right, we'll do that. You think it's on Netflix? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's on Netflix. Cool. And come back for that. You can leave us a review. We love reading them. We love hearing your nice words. We also love your not so nice words because we make fun of you before we record. It like pumps us up to get it going. Don't take that as incentive to say all the things about me. Don't. Because if you give us bad reviews, it'll get us further from being number one in Finland. And sure, my understanding is the way the rankings work is both downloads and
Starting point is 00:54:47 subscriptions and reviews. So if you haven't subscribed, just like, can you do it out of a force of good to make us number one in Finland? Leave as a review. It's just like, I feel like I can stop living on that day because I'll have achieved all of my goals. Number one in Finland. I, I, I, put it out there I will get a number one in Finland tattoo if we reach number one in Finland. I'll think about it. Tattoos are stupid. I know I know you believe that. I got enough body that I can just
Starting point is 00:55:23 hide it on me somewhere. I will get a really cool button made that says number one in Finland and I will wear it on one of my jackets. So come back for that. Oh, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. T-Public go by Justin Gray's stuff. Burn to build, burn underscore two, underscore build. And the two is T build. Mm-hmm. And the two is Tio. Yeah. And thanks for listening to another episode of Wear Off Ambulance. Bye. Bye.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Bye. you
