And then like part of the like probably some way past the midway point I was like oh this wasn't the same house from the first movie you've just seen this movie before. The oscillating camera trick I was like that's so weird they did that in both. They didn't. Because there's like this big deal made out of Christy being pregnant, and then in the next scene she's not pregnant anymore when the house is like trashing. Right. And then we never see them again. So from when I was reading the house trashing is from the second movie. Their house gets broken into and the only thing that gets stolen is this box of VHS tapes. And this VHS tape that we're watching in Paranormal Activity 3 is from that box. Okay. So who is playing the tape for us?

Christy's husband? Right? Uh, Dennis? You're talking about? No, I'm talking about the guy who's making the tape for the unborn child. Doesn't he just pop it into the VCR? Or I guess were they stolen before he watched them? Why would he watch them? Oh, wait, Dennis is Christy's married. They were just boyfriend-girlfriend. It could be a stepdad without being married.

As far as film stepdad's go, he's a pretty good one. I mean, we've all seen Amityville Horror, the remake, or whatever. Haven't we? He is nowhere near as ripped as a Brian Gosling? Ryan Reynolds. No. And then just ghost and never ever a response. When I started trying to watch this movie, Hulu tried to show me the Republican National Convention? No, no. Fuck you. FULU. It's a different horror movie. Then it just cuts to a pregnant woman painting on a ladder. And I was like, don't paint and don't be on the ladder while you do it, pregnant woman. What would she do? What's she thinking? I don't know.

Isn't that the problem we had with the first paranormal activity too is that they were super rich and nobody seemed to work? You can't just have a movie that does that.

I did not like the fact that they have a room without a door on it. For some reason that really irked me. Yeah. Because remember we had a big doom. little doors. And there's a little door in the attic. That's why I remember talking about it because we were okay. Can you say so? Little doors? Yes, they have a little door that opens into like a crawl space. Yeah. Which Toby lives in I guess? Yeah, I guess. But he also just sort of slurfs just around the house like looking at stuff jerking it. Just like playing with the toys. Moving shares around. Toby, put it back when you're done with it. Yeah, such a dick. So after Dennis sees the ghost boater with the dust on it, he sets up cameras throughout the house. And we get nights of little things happening. Yeah. I mean, it is the exact same fucking movie. It is.

And it does the same thing that the first movie does too where it's like, where it's like, there's a lot of tension building with no payoff. So that when something does pay off, it's supposed owing a line between being like tension filled and exciting and tension filled and agonizing. For sure. Where you're just like, come on, like give it up, make something happen. There were some jump scares that got me. Oh sure. Like Julie and the mask coming out of the closet.

That was great. That was one where I thought it was a really good payoff because you were thinking it wasn't going to be a payoff. For sure. Yeah. And that mask was so good. I don't know. Where did you that? I don't know. How did you feel about the little girls camping in the backyard? I don't know that I would leave my small children alone in a backyard? Maybe if I lived in the suburbs, I guess. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, for sure. Didn't when we were kids. Really? Were you that little? At some point. I mean in your life, back in the 60s. Nope. But I did like all the stuff of like, so the cameras are running all through the night and we just see like random snippets at like four o'clock in the morning of like lights going on yeah and back off or when Christy would run by their room right that she was creepy that yeah running and giggling like she's chasing someone or being chased by someone in a game like yeah yeah yeah but I feel like this movie and all these

found footage movies kind of this movie was paying homage or ripping off to like it's very like I feel like Blur Witch with like the little giggling kids and Poltergeist right down to the scene where mom and dad get high. Right, right, you're totally right about that. Yeah. And it was like a little too, okay, okay, okay, all right. I see what you're doing here. Yeah. Yeah.
