Starting point is 00:00:00 Katie, Alan. Welcome back to Whearwolf Ambulance. Thank you, I'm happy to be back. It just ended the last one. Literally, yeah, just about four minutes ago. Oh shit, are we, are we in Halloween month now? Yeah. I think we are. It makes sense that we're getting back to horror movies after our long divergence from them. I'm sorry, guys. I know you're here for one thing. We've been falling on the charts. I think they're just, Finland get in touch. Is it because we've done too many not our movies? Do you have another movie we can do? We'll do that, Finland.
Starting point is 00:00:50 You tell us. Is there a Lake Bodum too? Oh, I never want. Well, that was Australian. Lake Bodum? No, Lake Mungo. All these lake movies. Have we done Lake Bodum? We did. That was the Finnish movie we did.
Starting point is 00:01:05 What was it about? Or maybe it was just called Bodom. What happened? Oh yeah, I remember now. That was when we were pandering. Yeah, trying to get to number one. Because we've done rare exports and it. It had gone so well for us in to horror movies, we're going to do Night of the Creeps, which has a actor in it, who
Starting point is 00:01:26 has been in maybe the most amount of movies that we've done. Absolutely the most amount of movies we've done. Dick Miller. So I made up a little game for Katie. It's called, you don't know Dick, A. A, K. Dic, I'm Dic, I'm ready. I'm excited. It is a game in the loosest loos loos loos loos loos loos loos loos loos loos loos loos, loose loose loose loose loose loose loose loose, to game in to game in to game, to game, to game, I'm excited, let's do this. It is a game in the loosest sense of the word. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Tick Miller movies we've covered, can you name three? Gremlins? Yes. I was about to say Terminator, but that's not. He's in Chopin' the toma. Yes. And what's the other Joe Daunte? Yes, that's another Joe Danteante. And what's the other Joe Dante movie we did? Pirana. Correct. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:05 We also are in The Howling, which Joe Dante. Yes, that's another Joe Dante, yep. The Night of the Grepes and the Burbs, it rounds it out. Yep, yep, yep. Uh, well done. The thanks. Uh, what director has Dick Miller worked with the most? Yes, that's awesome. He did 21 films with Roger Corman directing.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Oh my God. Yeah. It seems like Jodanta used a lot of the same actors over and over. Yeah, for sure. But when Dick Miller passed away, Jonte talked about, he not only hired him because he was his friend, but he loved watching him work. Yeah, he's so charming. Yeah, for sure. My other option for that was Robert Zemeckis. That fucking guy, huh? Zamechus? Oh, come on. Leave Zamechus alone. What discipline does Dick Miller have
Starting point is 00:02:52 a PhD in? Here are your choices. Philosophy, philosophy, pharmacology, philology, philology, is this for real? Yeah, philosophy. Really? Good for Dick Miller. Yeah, he was apparently a writer before he became an actor. It's kind of shitty that you're not calling him Dr. Dick Miller. It's true. Yeah. From now and he will be Dr. Dick. Speaking of dicks, yeah. Is it possible that Dick Miller has seen Data's dick? Ooh. What do you think? Yes. Okay, yes, I think it's possible. He played a newspaper standman on the Holladeck in the episode The Big Goodbye. You're serious? Yeah. Yeah. The Dick Miller was on, uh, I'm sure in the dressing room, Data was like, was it? Yeah. Um, that's kind of fucked up though. Data's a weirdo. Let's get real. Sure. I mean, what data, what data did like, like, in the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I th. th. fucked up though. Data's a weirdo.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Let's get real. Sure. I mean, what data did like in the 90s was okay now, it's not going to fly. My final question for you. Dick Miller played multiple characters with this name. Is it Walter Paisley? Murray Futterman? Or Mick Diller?
Starting point is 00:04:05 I know he was Murray Futterman in Gremlins. I'm going with Murray Futterman. I know he was Murray Futterman in, um, Gremlins. I'm going with Murray Futterman. Unfortunately, it was Walter Paisley. Oh, what was he? He played Walter Paisley in nine different things. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:27 In Night of the Creeps, he is Officer Paisley. Okay. Which brings us to Night of the Creeps. I got really confused about Dick Miller because I, um, I watched this in two parts, I'm sorry, over two days. Yeah. Uh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, no, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, no, oh, no, no, no, no, no, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, the, the, the, the, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the I thought he was selling guns, not like renting them out to the police. That was in Terminator. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I was like, has it been that long since I watched the first half of this movie? No, that was like three weeks ago. Yeah. Night of the Creeps. So this film also prominently features another actor who's been in a number of our movies. It's true. Thomas Atkins. Dr. Thomas Atkins. Is he a doctor? Not that I know, but he should be. He went to Duquesne University here in Pittsburgh. He did. Probably not a doctorate. Probably just a bachelor's. He was in Halloween 3 and and the fog. And in both of those movies we are expected to believe that someone wants to fuck him, which has always really bothered me. Nobody wants to fuck him in this movie.
Starting point is 00:05:28 And why should they? He's a jerk. Thrill me. Thrill me. Can you imagine not hanging up on someone when you called them and they said thrill me? The answer to it with thrill me. So this movie starts with like, my notes from the beginning of this movie reminded me that there are like weird penis aliens that never come back. No. You cannot make something that color and flesh-toned in that shape without it looking like a penis.
Starting point is 00:06:02 They're tiny penises with dicks. Uh-huh, running around a spaceship with guns. I was gonna say with butts. I don't know why I said with dicks. They do not have dicks. What if they did? We see them at the beginning. They never come back. At the very end.
Starting point is 00:06:17 No, they don't. The spaceship flies over at true. Wow, you can't, why were they introduced in the opening scene and then never brought back? Because this movie is just, I'm going to cram everything that I like. It's the Rob Zombie idea of like put everything you like in a movie because you might never get to make a movie again. Gotcha. But this one, like ticks every one of my fucking boxes in a way that that rob zombie movies. Sure Sure. Sure. Sure. Sure. Sure. Sure. th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th that that that that that that that that that that th. that's that's that's tho that's that's tho tho that's tho- thi thi. thi. tho- tho- tho- tho- tho-I thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. It is is thi. It's is thi. It's is thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. thi. thi. theeeeeaauuuuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii's thi. It's thi. It's th not. Sure, this is an era for you. Sure, this is a look. And it's also calling back to an era of films. I really love 50 sci-fi movies.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Absolutely. And teen romances. You love teen romances. I do. This movie opens in 1959. Yeah. My first note about that says, I'm so glad I didn't grow up in this era. It must have been awful. Terrible. But I'm also losing my mind at the opening credits because the credits are in color but everything else is in black and white. Right. And then the credits are in the famous monsters of
Starting point is 00:07:10 Filmland font. Very similar to the Misfits logo. Yep. Yep. So I'm like, you're ticking all my boxes. You're doing it buddy. And you're in. I'm a hundred percent in. Yeah. Yeah. So 1959 sorority row. There are too many girls living in that room. Just too many. There's the, but I like the one girl was on the phone. She's like, why would you date him? He's got to be a cop. He's got no future. I know. I was like, I hope. So then we see Pam who gets picked up by Guy with a Buzzcut. Yeah. And they go out to Love Her Lane. Johnny, his name's John.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Yeah, of course it is. They're going to make out that she's wishing on a star. And then a cop comes and says, you kids gotta go home because there's a psycho killer on the loose. Yes, and the cop is we learn later, baby Tom Atkins. Yeah, and see nobody wants to fuck him, so that's good because she broke up with him. He's still pining for her though. Oh man, it's a long time.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Oh my god, 27 years. Yeah. Which now that I think that's that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. to. to. to. to. to. to. tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. too. too. too. t. t. that I think about it, that seems absurd that Tom Gackett's is as old as he is. How old was he when they were dating and she was in college? I don't know. I do love like an axe killer fresh out of a facility though, you know, it's a great, a great horror movie mechanic. I also like that he, when we see the axe killer because they drive away, but then they're following where the meteor hit. You see a meteor hit. And when we see the X killer, he just looks like a regular dude. He's not like, blah, blah, blah. And I was like, oh, that's fun. That's a fun little thing you did there.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Yeah. But at this point, Johnny is in the woods. Yeah. To which I wrote, Johnny has it coming, whatever it is. And what it is, little worms that is, that, that is, that, the little, the little, the little, is, the little, the little, is, that's the little, that's the little, that's that's that's that's little, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a little, that's a little, that's little, that's a little little little worms that's that's that's that's that's a little, that's a little, that's a little, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that shoot down your trout. Yeah, which is definitely a movie we've done before, right? Yes, Slither. Yeah. Yeah. And also, the one with the, there's another one we did with worms. Shivers?
Starting point is 00:09:13 Shivers. The Cronenberg one, yeah. Yeah. Sliver owes a lot to this movie. Cronenberg, who is referenced in this film. Oh this all of these names. This is Cynthia Cronenberg. Is it? It's so cute. Yeah, is it? She had those, she had, Jesus. The one guy's name is James Carpenter Hooper. Yep, James Carpenter Hooper and his friend is Christopher Romero. Again. Fuck off. See, I'm like 100% on board.
Starting point is 00:09:47 I'm like, that's so cute. It's so not subtle. Oh no, nothing about this movie. It's subtle. No, it's true. She is in the 1950 scene. Pam yells to Johnny, I'll even let you fondle my breasts. And then she's listening to the radio.
Starting point is 00:10:03 He was released from the the the the the the radio and the radio is like, he was released from the, he escaped from the insane asylum. He's on Route 66 headed towards Corman University. She turns on the headlights and there's a street sign for Route 66 and a sign for Corman University this way. And I was like, that's funny. What I thought about that was, aren't you a student at Corman University? You know you're you you should not shock you. But I have a big fan of like the two weird bad things there where there's like something in the woods
Starting point is 00:10:29 and you don't know what it is and then there's also a psycho killer. For sure. Fah fa fa fa fa. Fah fa. I'll even let you fond on my breasts. So we see Johnny in the woods this worm gets like rocketed. Yeah rocketed into his mouth and I was like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi tho tho tho thi thi thi thi thi thi things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things things th things th things th things th things th things th things th things th things that that that that that that tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho things things things things things things things things the woods and this this worm gets like It shoots out of the tube. Yeah, rocketed into his mouth. And I was like he swallowed it then? Like things don't just things don't just fall down there. Yeah, they just go right on the tube. Just like bonging a beer, you just open your throat and let it fall. Whoop. Yeah. I love that effect. It's just. the th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. thi. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. to. to. thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. the. th multiple times to the movie, where it's like, I don't know if they like spit the thing out and then they played it in reverse or whatever,
Starting point is 00:11:07 but it's just really cool just to watch things fly in someone's mouth like that. It's so gross. I hope they had like a tennis ball gut or like they're just shooting them in to Pledge Week 1986. Yes and the music that kicks in is like straight out of an aerobics video. I love it. It's like so 1996. Yeah. 1986, excuse me. And we meet JC and Chris. James Carpenter Hooper. Who I love, I love them both.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Yeah. I love that JC is on crutches, but it's never mentioned unless he mentions it? Right. Like that could have been a punchline or something like that. And it's like, it's just him. It's just who he is. Part of his character.
Starting point is 00:11:57 Yeah. And they're horny for everything. Right, because it's college. Yeah. Yeah. They are nerds, I guess. For sure. Yeah. And they're at a party, a college party, trying to mac on girls. Yeah. Or one specific girl, I guess. The aforementioned Cynthia Cronenberg. Cynthia Cronenberg. So one thing I like about this movie is that Cindy, Jacey and Chris all look like kids. Sure. Like, it was weird, because I think they are probably college-aged when they're making this movie. Yeah, yeah. It was weird to see people that young playing college kids, because we're so accustomed
Starting point is 00:12:36 to seeing like 30-somethings do it, you know? Especially when we meet the fraternity brothers and they look like a bunch of middle-aged steved-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-st-o-st-o-o-o-o-o-stic-o-sovvue-sovue-sovue-sovvvvvvvvvvvvahahaheded-mix-mix-mix-mix-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, they're thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-wi-wi-wi-wi-wi-wi-wi-yyyoreeeease-y-yoreease-y-y-si-si-si-coererererui-si-si-s. thi-s. thi- stevedores. Yep. I kept talking about Randy with the mustache. Because when like when they talk when the JC and Chris start talking about joining the fraternity and Brad which I love is the 80s bad guy name. Brad's like we pretty much found all the guides of guys we need to fill the roster and like, like including Randy here with a mustache. Like, who is that guy? They look like the gang from a roadhouse that like works for the bad guy and then? They are definitely toadies of someone, yeah. They're toadies of Brad. Brad's great. Brad is amazing.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Yeah. He's the quintessential 80s-80s bad guy. He has like the bleached hair. He belongs on a ski slope, you know. He's gonna win the ski race. And then, you know, his dad owns the resort. Yeah. But I love that like, Chris sees Cindy from across the like, across the street and it's just like, who's that? And Jacey's like, I don't know, why don't you ask her? Hey, tuts!
Starting point is 00:13:45 Tuts, yeah. I had a friend in college that was his move when if he wanted to talk to him and he'd be like, hey, a red shirt, you know, that guy. It didn't work for him. I can't imagine. I can't imagine. But it's evidently very charming when JC does it for Chris. Yeah, she should have hooked up with JC, honestly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was well-rounded. Chris was a titty baby. What a whiner.
Starting point is 00:14:13 They had a ton of personality. I can't see a lady not wanting to go out with him. So they have to join, they want to join the betas to impress girls. Right. And Jacey's going th, Chris, because, because, because, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th th thi's thi's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. the. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to it. Right. Because he's that kind of friend. I guess. The beta spread, Brad's fret. And they want... The betas? Because of course they are.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Were they beta Epsilon? I don't know. I don't read Greek. This isn't 300. This is Beta Epsilon. So they have to go steal a body and put it in front of one of the sorority houses. This is an insane thing to do. But also like a common trope in like 50s horror movies. Yeah, yeah, and it's also like a common trope in 80s in horror movies with like, um, slime ball babes,, bulrama? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Yeah. It's like the, you have to go and do something, like, complete this mission to become part of the fraternity or sorority. First, you're going to have to get all that whip cream off your tummy though. All that whip cream off your tumy, though none was sprayed there. Just keep scrubbing it. So they go to the morgue and they meet the scientist guy. I feel like that guy is in everything. Yes, for sure.
Starting point is 00:15:29 I don't know his name, but I'm sure he's in everything. Yes. When I went to look him up, I was like, oh, most of the people in this movie have stills from this movie as their IMDP photos. That's a sign sandwiches over dead bodies. Oh yeah, I liked him. Really contaminating that crime scene. The guy who played Chris looked familiar to me too, but I couldn't place him. I don't know. Chris, he is in European vacation. He's rusty in European vacation. That's probably where I know I'm from then, yeah. He has like the most asymmetrical face. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, the the the the their. Yeah, he. He. He, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he's, he's, he's they. He's they. He's the they. He's the the the the they. He's they. He's they. He's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. Oh, he's they. Oh, he's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's they. He's the the the the they. He's the the the the th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's the the th. He's the th. He's the the the the the the the th. He's rusty in European vacation. That's probably where I know I'm from then, yeah. He has like the most asymmetrical face. It's interesting. Yeah, for sure, for sure.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yeah, there's just something you want to stare at his face and like figure it out. Yeah. So they go to the morgue. They find, uh, we see this science guy. I don't know what he is. gets the last digit, so he has to go and call someone to get the last digit. That was funny. JC walks up and punches zero, the door opens. And they go in and they find the buzzcut guy from the beginning of the movie, cryogenically frozen. Yes. To which JC just starts flipping switches like it's a fucking Dr. Dr. Dre video. That is an insane thing to do for JC.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Like, it's just, I mean, like, what they're doing is desecrating a corpse. That's a felony. Yeah. When there's a big red button that says like disengage or whatever on it, I need to see his crutch come into view and push the button. It's so fucking funny. Can I ask you a question? Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Do you think you have to pee super bad when you wake up from suspended animation? I don't know, would your body be making pee-pies while you're, uh... I mean, they have to keep you... You have to have fluids. I thought you just stopped. I think it's not real, right? You can't really cryogenically freeze a person. I mean you can, but you can't necessarily wake them back up from it. Yeah, so you wouldn't know if they have to pee, I guess. You personally wouldn't know.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Well, I'm just thinking about alien. When they get out of their deep sleep, did-Mee. We'll call them tubes. Tubes and your pea holes? That's much better than catheters. Than the word for it. This guy also doesn't have a pee-pee, which I thought was weird. He's got, he's like painted white to show that he's cold and his underpants are painted the exact same color, which I really appreciate. You're just like, oh, you were born without a dick, huh? Just smooth like Ken, huh, buddy?
Starting point is 00:18:08 And then a slug jumps out of them. And it's just like, okay. Why wouldn't it? All right, fine. And then we cut to Tom Atkins, sitting at home, drinking as a police officer in a house filled with detective novels and magazines. Yes. Listening to Detective Jazz.
Starting point is 00:18:33 He is insufferable in this movie. I think, you know, he's got that Christopher George quality for me where I just don't like him. Even though he's one of our own, I feel like I should. I just don't like him from the jump, even though he's one of our own, I feel like I should. I just don't like him. He's by all accounts like super nice dude. I'm sure. Yeah, yeah. I just, I don't like him in film. Sure. I just, when I see him, I'm like, oh boy, here we go. You know? I have the opposite reaction to. You love Tom Atkins. I do. I do. I get very excited. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I don't love. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I don't love. I don't love. I don't love. I th. I don't love. I don't love. I don't love. I don't love. I don't love. I don't love. I don't love. I th. I don't love. I don't love. I th. I th. I don't love. I th. I th. I th. And this. Yeah. And the mist. You loved that too. The fog. The fog, not the mist.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Yeah. Different film. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, much darker. Yeah. So he's sitting there and he gets a phone call and he answers it by saying, thrill me.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Which he will say another, I don't know, six to eight times. So much so that other people in the movie start saying it. It's disgusting. So we cut back to the crime scene because the two guys have run away. They knock the science guy down. Our two, JC and Chris ran away when the guy started, because he started moving. We go back to the crime scene, there's no dead body except... Wait, does there...
Starting point is 00:19:45 There's one dead body. There's the science guy. He's dead. Right, right. Because the 50s guy kills him. And is missing. Right. The 50s guy is missing because we see him walking towards the sorority house.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Right. Because of course he would. Yeah, because of course he would. I don't remember why I wrote this is this Bernie Lomax. Oh for sure. Was he? Yeah, he's got that kind of vibe. Oh, because he was having a dream. He was having a dream where he's on the beach. Yeah, he's wearing a suit on the beach and sunglasses. I was like, that's very Bernie Lomax. And that was great because they were doing the jaws wipes. Yes. People walking by him and he sees his his his his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend girlfriend his girlfriend girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend his girlfriend. He's his his water. Yeah. Oh boy. He's only girlfriend, I guess?
Starting point is 00:20:25 Ever? Ever. Tom Atkins, move on. Seriously. I mean, who else would have him? Someone who wants to be thrilled? Or thrill others. Thrill him, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:36 So we get the corner eating a sandwich over a dead body, which is hilarious. And then we cut to Cindy being dropped off at the sorority house and Brad Bradd, driving away with a license plate that reads. Bradster. Bradster. told him all in there. Oh and someone's name is Ramey in the scene too. I was like who? What? Come on. Officer Ramey? Get them all in there. Get them in there. Is anyone else you like? We've missed. I think that's almost all of them. I assume that James is for James Cameron
Starting point is 00:21:12 and James Carpenter Hooper. Oh. Oh. Ugh. Okay. He loves Titanic. He loves the idea of Titanic. They both love underwater exploration.
Starting point is 00:21:37 How did you feel about the sorority girl being like, hey, my professor asked me if I could store these at the house? They're brains. That I didn't understand. Like she's Homework Girl does homework, right? Like it's just that's all she does in this movie is homework. And she has a cat, and she hides brains in the basement. What do those brains have to do with anything? Oh, they're what later on in the movie the slugs have piled up on in the basement. Oh, okay. Okay, okay. Check offthe brains. Gotcha. Okay, okay. Checkoff's brains.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Sure. When, um, so Tom Atkins rolls up, uh, why is he going to the sorority house? Oh, that's because, um, Cindy sees the zombie guy outside of her window and calls the cops. Right. He rolls up in a 50s cop car? Why? Yep. Yep. Because he is trying to live inside of a Daschle Hammett novel.
Starting point is 00:22:32 I guess so. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And drinking whiskey? Or bourbon? One of those. He does. Brown, brown liquors.
Starting point is 00:22:47 He does stop and smell a rose walking into the sorority house. And I was like, that had to have an ad-lived. And like, why? When he walks to the back of the sorority house, and he grabbed some kid, he's like, what is this place? It's the house, mother's........ th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. th. thi. th. what is this place? It's the house mother's house? Oh! Which is hilarious because later he explains that. I know! Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:23:14 He buried the body of the maniac because he killed him, because he hunted him down and found him and killed him. Yeah. On his own time, not his police officer. Right. He's off the clock. And buried him in a vacant lot? This house is six feet behind the sorority house. It is definitely not a vacant lot behind the sorority house. It is definitely their backyard.
Starting point is 00:23:40 And also he's like, yes, the housemother's cottage is built right on top of it. First of all, you're a high-ranking police officer in this town you'd think you would know. You would think you would like occasionally maybe check on where you buried the body. Sure. Yeah, especially with college kids. Especially when it's the only thing you focus on it. In your whole life. the whole fucking life. No, he's shocked to learn that there's a cottage there. I just love that he grabbed a kid like, fuck you doing? Right.
Starting point is 00:24:08 I have a no-do it says, not very sensitive to men's emotional pain in this era, but I have no idea what that's about, and it doesn't matter. J.C. and Chris and Chris have had a big fight because Chris is a big fight because Chris is a big fight. Jacey was being being a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi and thi and thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. thi. thi. trying to be there for his friend. JC's a great friend. He really is. Chris is being a titty baby. Yeah. But then that ends with a delightful pillow fight, which I really enjoy.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Seems cute. Yeah. So it comes out that like the next day at college. Which for some reason is a hilarious thing to say. It is in the next day at college. Brad tries to start a fight with him and knocks J.C.'s crutch out from underneath him so he falls down? Who kicks the kid with crutches? Nobody does that. Just Brad. Nobody does that.
Starting point is 00:24:57 Which makes Cindy immediately not like Brad anymore. And she does the like thing where she turns a crank and her middle finger comes up and then all these people start applauding. Just the women! Just the women! Oh that's awesome, no I love that then. Okay I love it. Yeah. I was like so stoked that it's just delayed like one things behind her like, yeah. This is also where we learned that they're Christopher Romero and John Carpenter Hooper. And then I have the next note I have says Landis. So somebody's last name was Landis also. Oh, come on. I think there was an officer Landis as well.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Ah! Because they're going to introduce themselves to Cindy. And Chris is like, I'm and the cop just like, Christopher Romero, James Carpenter Landis. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I's is, thi. I is, I is, I is, I is, I is, I is, I is, I is, I is, I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I is. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I's so funny. It's so silly. Stupid. So now they have seen something and Cindy has seen something and they're the only ones who've seen it and can relate to one another. But they don't exactly understand when she's describing what she saw.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Like I would have expected them to understand. Is it because Cindy only talks in coy, sexy secrets? I think Cindy just has a young woman's voice. But everything everything, the, the, the, the, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. in coy, sexy secrets. I think Cindy just has a young woman's voice. But everything is like, she always has her head down and just looking up at whoever she's talking to. That's true, yeah, she is making coy face. I saw a zombie. I think it was a zombie.
Starting point is 00:26:14 She's like, I'm going crazy and I saw a zombie and slugs and an exploded. Anyway, there's a formal tomorrow th. th. th. thin thin thin thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thi, thin' thin' thi, thi, thi, thi. That's thi. That's thi. That's, thi. That's, thi. That's, thi. That's, thi. That's, thi. That's, th, th, th, thi. That's, thi. That, thi. That, thi. That, thi. That, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, there's a formal tomorrow. What? It's so funny. So fucking funny. When they get dragged into the precinct, we meet Mr. Minor, who is the janitor at college or at the morgue or whatever? Yeah, yeah, at the morgue. This is stupid. I liked it the first time. What does he keep repeating? I didn't write it tell. Screaming like banshees. It just keeps saying, screaming like benches. And then laughing. And later when we see him in a scene, he's just walking down the hallway, chuckling to himself
Starting point is 00:26:55 and saying, screaming like bansches. Then he gets killed. Yeah. So to me, this feels like a setup for Chris, like where the fraternity, so the fraternity has asked asked asked asked asked asked asked asked asked asked asked asked asked asked to ask has has asked to ask to ask to ask to ask to ask to ask to ask to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to say, screaming to to say, screaming to me, this feels like a setup for Chris, like where the fraternity, like, so the fraternity has asked him to do this thing, he's not done it. And then like one of the fraternity brothers' girlfriends asks him to the formal, he's like way out of his league. There's no way you don't think that's a setup.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Oh, it's the Carrie and now. Yeah, for sure. But it's not, she legit likes him. Yeah. She legit likes for some reason. For some reason, because he has not really spoken to her. No, he did not thriller. And he has no personality. He's, he is a slug himself.
Starting point is 00:27:36 It's that asymmetrical face. I have the note cat scare followed by thethe note titties. Yeah, yep, yep, yep. I have a... That's because Cindy is changing her clothes. It was like, takes her top off, not facing the camera, and then turns around to the camera. It's like, no way do we get out of this without boobs. And then she turns around, you're like, yep, shower scene in this. My next note says Tom Atkins is a neb shit, so I don't know what he was doing there. Probably asking people questions about their lives.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Yeah. So he's like thinks that these kids are basically behind the theft of the body from the morgue, which eventually turns up again. Or no, no, that's, it explodes, it explodes outside at the sorority house. Right, and all the slugs shoot into the basement. Right, right, right, right. And then the cat dies. Oh, Gordon.
Starting point is 00:28:34 And someone is like, hey, are we going to tell the nerd girl about her dead cat? No, let's not. And then the cat comes to the door and it the door the door the door thuuu. And it thu. And it thu. th th th th th th th th that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, the that, that, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, the that, that, that, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, the the the door and it's got worms hanging out of its eyes. It looks great. It does look great. Yeah. Um, which, yeah, it's very funny. So Tom Atkins takes Chris to his house for some reason? Or Chris goes to his house? I don't remember. He's gonna tell Chris about his entire life story. Why? Because this is the only thing he thinks about, so he has to tell somebody about it. I guess. It's a very this is this is this is th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi he he he he he he he he he he he to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi thi. thi. thi. thee the the. thee. the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi th to sit down a stranger and tell him your whole life story honestly. And even Chris is like other than confessing to a murder is there something else you want to say to me? Which is very funny. Yes. It's a weird life story. During that conversation Tom Akin says, guess what happens next? Chris says, should you be telling me this? And Tom Mackin says, close, and then goes on to tell the rest of the story. He also keeps calling Chris spanky, which is like weird and gross.
Starting point is 00:29:35 When Chris has to tell him that JC's dead and he just comes to his house and goes, Alfalfa's dead. Because he was calling him spanky and Alfalfa. It's so weird. Oh, fuck. So then we see the house mother in her cottage. She's watching a 50 sci-fi movie. She's watching Plant 9 from Outer Space.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Yep. Yep. And she's hearing like a banging from her basement? Yeah. When there's this like cute pupper jumping jumping around acting scared, she does not even react. She's just like sitting on, she does not have a line or a movement. No, she's high out of her mind. High out of her mind. So this thing comes out of the floor of her basement through the floor boards.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Yeah, with an axe. She's like, hey, what are you doing there? there? there? there? there? there? there? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? th? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? She's th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. Yeah, she's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.the floorboards. Yeah with an axe. She's like, hey, what are you doing there? Why did he bury him with his ax? I don't know. I don't know. Why did that cop say if we used a stretcher for every piece we'd be here all night? It's really insensitive, especially to the fact that the like people who are close to the victim are standing right next to you. You think that coroner that's eating a sandwich cares? Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Oh, that was the coroner. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:30:50 He is always eating, no matter what's happening, we see him later in the morgue. He's like popping peanuts in his mouth. That's a hungry person. So Tom Atkins sends two cops out in the car to look for the perpetrator. They give up in like 12 seconds. They're like, this is stupid. No, it's not. It is absolutely not stupid. It's absolutely not stupid.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Oh, but I love the reveal of them pulling up next to the zombieed maniac. And the one cupping, like, but gah. Yeah. And then cup being like, I don't know, this is dumb, let's go home. And the other cup being like, but yeah. Yeah, and then they drive away. And I was like, maybe chase it. So in the meantime, the cops have shot holes through the, through the psycho killer who's come out of the basement. And there's daylight shining through than anything that's around. It's someone holding a pen light in the wound. We now go back to the sorority house. There's this is where we get the bathing of
Starting point is 00:31:53 boobs scene. It's a bathing of boobs montage. And everyone's getting dressed for the formal. I have a note that says Alan probably loves all this voluminous 80s hair. I do. Yeah, I know. It looks very nice. Yeah. And Brad is distraught the th. Bradtied th. Brad is th. Brad is th. Brad is th. Brad is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. the the the the the the the the thi. the the thi. the the thi this voluminous 80s hair. I do. Yeah, I looks very nice. And Brad is distraught because his girlfriend is going to the formal with Chris. Right, she has not called him back. And so he's drunk, sees the dog that was with the sorority house mother. Yeah. The dog is now a zombie and shoots a slug into his mouth. Yep. And I just love it. That dog. So now, okay, yes, so there's the getting ready montage. Yeah. There's the frat boys getting ready. Yeah. The frat house stairs are deeply dangerous. Did you notice that?
Starting point is 00:32:38 What the fuck? If you're drunk dudes to be going up and down, it's broken-neck city in there. That's you need to get only stevedores in your train so they can take a tumble. I guess so. Those guys are thick. Randy, with the mustache is thick with twoosies. He looks like he came off the 86 bears lineup to be in this movie. He does. Him and Dicka. So then, we don't know that JC is dead. Right. Have we found the tape yet?
Starting point is 00:33:10 This is when he finds the tape? Which I was like, how did he get it back on his desk? Because he says, I'm in the basement. Oh, because he went into the basement. Yes, that's where they find him. So, how did the tape get back on his desk? Because he was in a bathroom somewhere else, went, recorded the thing and then went down to the basement to boil himself next to the boiler to kill the slugs. I must have missed up.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Yeah. No, it's many years of seeing this movie. I have put all that together. Gotcha. It's a puzzle that about how to kill the slugs and they, you know, kill them with fire basically. And then he says, I love you. And it just breaks my fucking heart. It's so sweet. I could not do that today. I was having a, I was having a tough day. And then this, just this like college guy saying I love you and all sincerity to his friend. I was just like, man. But I love that's like, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the th. th. th. the the th. the the th. the the the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea. I. theeeeea. I. theeea. I thee. the. the. th. th. th. was just like, man. But I love that like platonic dude loves
Starting point is 00:34:05 like celebration. Like that's amazing. In 1986, that's not a thing you could put into a movie without people being like, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Tell your friends you love them. Hear that, King Leonidus? These are two arguments for, these are two different arguments for masculinity, for sure. Yeah. JC is definitely the side that I fall on. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah, th. th. Yeah, th. that, that, that, that, that, that, to that, that's that's that's that, that, that, that's that, that's that's that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, the the the the the the the the they. I's they. I's they. I's the they. I's the the thi. I's thi. I's that's thi. I's that's thi. I's thi. I's for sure. JC is definitely the side that I fall on. Yeah. Not Jesus Christ, but JC ends. Jesus Christ was probably a man who told his friends he loved them. Probably. Yeah. But all it counts, nice guy.
Starting point is 00:34:35 Like Tom Atkins. We both share an affinity for sandals. Yeah. Anyone who can turn water into wine is a friend of mine. Please make a tee shirt that ss tie tie tie tie tie tie. I tie. I tie. tie. tie. tha. I tha. tha. tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho thoom. thoom. thi. J. too tho tho tho tho tho tho th. J. I toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. thi. the. the. the. Please make a t-shirt that says that. I'm certain someone already has and I can just go and tea public and buy it. So we get the frat boys going on to the drunk bus. And then the drunk bus being tipped over by the driver trying to avoid our slug shooting zombie dog in the road, which is the dog looks great. He hits the dog because he's yelling over his shoulder at the frat guys to chill the
Starting point is 00:35:07 fuck out. And it's like, sir, this is a party bus? What did you think they were going to do? They're not even being that wild? They're really not. Having, having been on a party bus? Yeah. Have been on a party bus? Maybe we'll do one once the pandemic is over for WhereWFamuance fans. Just you and me? Oh, the fans too? Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:27 All of our Patrions. We should do that. Where would we drive to? Where would we drive from? We'll forget. We'll try out. We'll meet in a parking lot somewhere. Well, me at the Monroville mall parking lot. So then th th th th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, the they, we'll, we'll, we'll they. We'll, we'll they. We'll the the the they. We'll they. We'll they. We'll they. We'll th. We'll tho, we'll tho, tho. thooooo. th'll be good from a party bus. Take the party bus back into the city. Or just
Starting point is 00:35:48 do stuff out in Monroeville. We'll go to a TGI Fridays. Probably a Chili's out there we could hit. It'll fit Mad Max maybe. Yeah for sure. El Camposino had all the... Oh yeah, I'm gonna beat. That sounds like enough to get me hammered. That's like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I th. Oh, I's th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, the. Oh, th. Oh, to. Oh, tog. So the bus flips over, I love when the little doggy is walking into the bus and he's just like a little dog butt crawling up into the bus. You have a thing for dog butts. Dog butts just do it, just make you so happy. I'm gonna do it for you. That's not what I meant. No, I know. So Chris goes and tells Tom Atkins that J. C. J. J. J. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to to th. th. to to to th. Do th. I th. Sit by saying Spanky's dead. Alfalfa. Alfalf is dead.
Starting point is 00:36:32 We need flame throwers. Yeah. So they go to Dick Fucking Miller. I was so confused about this because it was too much Dick Miller too quick being a person in charge of handing out guns. It was just he was like literally in the same set. I was so confused. Yeah. So he is a cop who like basically requisitions out guns. Yeah. And Tom Atkins is asking for a flame thrower and Dick Miller's like
Starting point is 00:36:57 like cackling about it which I loved. So fucking charming. I love the whole like hey we're just going to need to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the to to to to to their. their. their. their. their. the the the the the the the their. their. they. their. their. their. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. the the the the the the the the the they. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the same. the the same. the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. t. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. the the the the the the the the th. th. I. I love the whole like, hey, we're just going to need your standard issue, flame thrower. I was like, OK, yeah, let me go grab that. Yep, they've got them. Of course, we learn from Chud that all police departments have flame throwers. That's right. I remember being appalled. They had so many flame throwers.
Starting point is 00:37:18 He asks for the requisition form. Tom Atkins just puts a gun in his face. I'm going to assume that he gave him the flame thrower instead of getting shot. Yeah, oh yeah. I don't think Dick Miller would uh, yeah. Yeah, he's no Arnold Schwarzenegger. No. He's not going to shoot Dick Miller. Oh, here's Randy with the mustache, stumbling off the party bus. Yeah. And then we see Cindy. And then we see Cindy who is opening the door to the sorority house for Brad and she does not notice how yucked up he is which is disgusting because he looks like a horror goole. But it's great because she just like puts her head down to the side and grabs his hand as you would do with like that boy that you don't really want to talk to but have to break up with him in person right now. And she's th th he he he he he he he he he he he he he he th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. tho, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to th. th. the th. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to break up with him in person right now. And she takes him down, sits on the porch, starts
Starting point is 00:38:09 breaking up with him and he's just spitting slugs out of his mouth. And all of the other sorority sisters are wearing like 80s formal wear and she's doing like a 1950s thing with spaghetti straps and like a buffant. Why? Because the 50s, they're back again. I see. But she does not notice how yucked up Brad is. Tom Atkins shoots Brad, right? Yeah, Chris and and and Tom Atkin show up. Right, one of them has a gun, one of them has a flame thrower. I think Tom Atkins has the flame thrower. Because a few minutes later Chris has it and I was like, did you just like, Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. Because a few minutes later Chris has it and I was like, did you just like, okay. And then he gives it to Cindy. Yeah, there are no scenes of anybody taking it off their back and putting it on someone else's back. I'm glad. I love it if he just turns over a flame thrower to a couple college kids. He's like they got it. They'll be fine. Well, when? When? They have. They have. They have they have good. They have good. They have good. They have good. They have good. They have good. Did you notice that?
Starting point is 00:39:09 No, I did not. What the fuck? He's killing himself. What the fuck? And then he's like, I don't have to kill myself. I can go kill these college kids now. Didn't we just promise no more more more more? No? to. I? to. I? to. I? to. I? to. I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I. I? I. I? I. I. I. I? I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. I. Oh my god, yeah. But I'm just like, damn movie, you took a turn. Yeah, and it does not affect his personality in any appreciable way. He's just walking around going, thrill me. He's got so many dumb one-liners. He says to one of the sorority-so-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-hean-hean-hean-hean-hean-hean-hean-he-hee-hee-hee-hee. He's-hee. He's-to one of the sorority girls, good news, your dates are here, and the girl
Starting point is 00:39:45 says, what's the bad news? He goes, they're dead. That was the tagline, I believe, for the movie. Oh, God. Look out, Randy. So the frat boys are now besieging the house. And Tom Atkin says, it's Miller time. Is his name Miller? No. You're just talking about the beer? What? But it's Miller time was a very popular thing to say at this one time. Remember when Jack Burton says, you know what I say when it's Miller time? What?
Starting point is 00:40:18 In Big Trouble Little China, when Jack Burton meets Kim Control at the airport, she says, if you're standing down wind like I am, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it wind like I am, it's Miller Time, and he says, you know what I say when it's Miller Time and then they get attacked. Oh, okay. If I ever meet John Carpenter, I'm going to ask him what Jack Burton says when it's Miller Time. That's a great question. I hope you get to ask it, genuinely. You too. Can someone set that up? that up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up that up that up that up th. th. th. th. that that that that that that that that thathe up. thatheatheatheatheatheatheat. the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ti. ti. ti. time. time. ti. time. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. you have a row, an in road to John Carpenter. Even an email, anything I could shoot him. Just, just let us get in there, just for a minute. So the, the frat boys are all like slow moving zombies. I appreciate that they're slow moving zombies, because this movie would not work otherwise.
Starting point is 00:40:58 No. And we see like millions of slugs flooding into the basement of the house. Yeah. And they hide, Cindy and JC, or Cindy and Chris, RIPJC, hide in this like flimsy-ass shit. Yeah. That Chris has to start a lawnmower up to attack the zombies with. And I was like, oh, second movie we've seen where that's happened. The first one being a brain dead. Brain dead. That's right. That's right. Yeah. And that scene goes on for much longer. I just want to say that someone dies on a lawnmower accident in the happening also.
Starting point is 00:41:33 Oh that's right. That's right. So it's our third lawnmower death I think. Landmower death. the great 80s thrash metal band. Oh they're they're. thorow. thorow. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thor. thi. thi. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. th. the. th. th. the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thrash metal band. Were they? Yeah, I loved them, yeah. They were a comedic thrash metal band. Damn. Which as you can imagine, was a big wheelhouse for me. Get away from me, Stinkbug. You just fucking through that thing. He just picked it up and threw it. Let me get away from me. I told of the house
Starting point is 00:42:05 after they lawnmower some zombies and Tom Atkins is in the basement with tape over his mouth to stop the slugs from going in, but he needs to talk to them so he has to take the tape off. Okay. And he's pouring gasoline all over the basement. And when he takes the the tape off his mouth, all the slug starts shooting at his mouth? They can jump really high. Really, it's amazing. Yeah, he's it seems like a tall guy.
Starting point is 00:42:35 How did they jump? There's, have you ever seen a slug move? There's a word I want to run by you. Sluuggish. Oh, okay. It means jumping really high and super fast moving. You just don't know nothing about no space slugs. No, I don't. Where do those aliens go? Why didn't they come back?
Starting point is 00:42:51 They do come back in the end. I want to see them. I want to see their weird penis skin. They have weird penis skin. Your whole body skin is penis skin. Yeah. So many nerve endings, I guess. The chairs are a nightmare for them. So Tom Ackles has got to burn down everything. I guess. There's this like sweet scene of him and Chris Romero having eye contact
Starting point is 00:43:21 and just being like, see you later, bud. Because Chris has started saying, throw me now. So you were to understand he's the new Tom Atkins. We no longer need this Tom Atkins. So they run out of the house. The house explodes. Looks really great. It's fun. The two Chris and Cindy make out in the street with them.
Starting point is 00:43:39 the two, Chris andousand people in the street with them. And it's like so none of the slugs are anywhere else huh? Just right there all got every last one of them. So there's two endings to this movie. Okay. The one, did you see the one where it goes, you see a slug go into the cemetery? Yeah and Tom Atkins has come out looking slugged up. Yes. Yeah he falls, he's all burned, he's all. He's all. He's all. He's all. He's all. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. thi. thi. He's all thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th is all is all is all is all is all is all is all is all is all is all is all the is all the is theea's thea. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. theeea. S. S. thea. thea's the is the is the. the ground. Yes. But he's still smoking, which I appreciate it. Yes. The theatrical ending to this movie is the two of them making out, Cindy turns and the dog is sitting next to her and shoots a slug into her mouth. Oh, I like that a lot better. Yeah, that's the ending. Because it's kind of like, know? Yeah. And it's like, it's like, oh, a full moon. Like it matters.
Starting point is 00:44:27 It doesn't matter for a full moon. And then there's a spotlight and a spaceship in the credits roll, and you're like, what? What? I had literally forgotten that it was from outer space until the spaceship came back. Yeah, that's why not, they hit at the beginning, they hit it at the end. That's how creeps too. Yeah. So that is Night of the Cremes. It is every 80s movie you've ever seen, particularly every 80s horror movie you've ever seen. Mm-hmm. Yeah. All wrapped up into one. Yeah. You want to rate it? I do. Wanted you rate it?
Starting point is 00:44:59 All right. This is a 9. I love this movie. It's not as good as Monster Squad. No, what is? But it is... This movie got panned when it came out. I am certain. Yeah, as did Monster Squad. Sure. And I am very glad that history has proved all those critics wrong. Has history proved critics wrong on Night of the Greeps? Oh for sure, this movie's great. This movie has a huge... it has a huge cult following. Sure. And like it wasn't available on any home media for a really long time because it was tied up in like Wright's bullshit.
Starting point is 00:45:35 So there was only bootlegs you could get of it for the longest time. So now it's finally on DVD and Blu-It's great. I highly I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho' tho' tho' tho' tho' th thi thi's tho' tho' tho' tho' tho' tho' tho' tho' tho' tho' th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's thi. It's thee recommend watching it. What did you think of it? It was fine. You won't break my heart if you say it was bad. No, I mean it's a bad movie, but it's an 80s movie. It's like at one point Tom Atkins is like, I don't know if this is something or a B movie and it's like well I think this is a B movie Tom at andys a the 80s movie it's got boobs, it's got, you know, the antagonist named Brad. It's fine, it's a seven, it's fine. I enjoyed it. I think it's set out and did exactly what it meant to. But I already can't distinguish it from other 80s movies we've done.
Starting point is 00:46:18 You know what I mean? It is an 80s movie's mixtape. Absolutely. Oh, Katie, speaking of amazing things, that in retrospect will be even better. Tell me about our patrons? That wasn't a good segue. I did a bad segue that time. No, I liked it. I would like to thank some people who supported us on our Patreon. I'd like to thank Malca who lives in Minneapolis, but is from Kansas where all the spooky shit happens and the gate to hell is located. Oh jeez. Molka, I need to know more.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Yes, send links. She loves Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Seth Green more than anything. Oh, there you do. And so I'm going to have to fight her for Seth Green's love. Toward the US, not too far from Pittsburgh, Philly, Washington and Columbus. He says he's's pretty sure he has a Virginia Black lung record kicking around somewhere. Oh nice. He wants to say it's the split with the Awakening but he'd have to go rooting
Starting point is 00:47:31 around in boxes to find it. It is that record. How do you know it's what he has? I know it. All right. I've got the address of everyone who's got one. Really? No. What? And finally, this week I'd like to thank Jim Rocco from Philadelphia, who is reviewer Brooke
Starting point is 00:48:05 Elle's husband, and he says that their simple dog was the one that got stressed out by the old intro. Oh, Jim Rocco is such a good Philly. I love it. I love it. Starting point is 00:49:30 Hey Alan. You want to do Danzig's movie? I guess so. What's it called? Verodica? No, it's not! Are you serious? I have to watch Verodica?
Starting point is 00:49:38 Oh, you mean, it's a wordwha movie. Danzig, we're coming for you. I mean, it's Halloween times. I've been listening to the Misfits. Oh, lovely. Starting point is 00:50:25 I mean we have to, we have to do it. In perpetuity. Perpetuity until one of us is dead. That's going to be a long time, I hope. I'm a vampi. I'm a vampire now. I didn't tell you. I mean, we only do this in night. What? How would we? ? I haven't even done so many classic movies at this point. I don't even want to do classics, you know? It's not fun to talk about because you're just like, wow, this is great, this is wonderful. Rather do Veratica. How many times am I going to sing, Veratica?
Starting point is 00:51:13 Anyway. A lot, I bet. I'm going to guess a lot, yeah. Well, come back for that. Thank you so much for being amazing people. Thanks for listening to another episode of Wear-Wambulance. Bye! Bye! Mediacs and on Dead Pools, Savini's sightings at the pool. No way to make Finland's to keep our film reviews.
