Starting point is 00:00:00 Can I read you my first note for the film? Please. Cowards, I could be watching Lindsay Lohan right now. The people have spoken. this film? Please. Cowards, I could be watching Lindsay Lohan right now. The people have spoken and we listen to the people. I could make a really great, I'm not conceding. The election was rigged. I actually won, joke here, but that might not be so funny in a couple months, so I'm
Starting point is 00:00:39 going to refrain. Can I be your Rudy Giuliani? Oh my god, only if sweat carries hair dye down your face. What a fucking nightmare. That's America's mayor. How dare he? Like I know we'd get occasionally political, but not so much current events political. Yeah. How dare he take the name of my cousin Vinny into his mouth. Oh did he? Yes, today, he, during his press conference, tried to compare how far people away, people were standing, poll watchers were standing from the people counting the ballots, to the
Starting point is 00:01:15 scene in my cousin Vinny where he has the woman can't see and he's like, how many fingers am I holding up? He's like, he calls it his favorite law movie. And I just feel like in Joe Biden's first 100 days of his presidency, I'd like to see him pass an executive order in which Rudy Giuliani is barred from speaking of my cousin Vinny ever again because it's a perfect movie and he's a monster. I would also like him to invite Marissa Tome to come into the Oval Office and show to how her biological clock is ticking, Because that's my favorite scene in that movie.
Starting point is 00:01:45 I love her. Oh, she's a treasure. I love when she plays herself in Seinfeld too. Did she? Yeah, George like falls in love. She like wants to date George and she falls in love with her and is going to leave his fiancee for her. And then she finds out he as a fiance and is like, thus. yourself. Susan. Anyway, can I read you my first note for this movie? Please. Oh,
Starting point is 00:02:06 shit, Joseph Lawrence? Excuse me. Yeah, every time I saw him, he looked like he was going to go, whoa! But I guess he's trying to separate himself. He was like a handsome young man and like tipped into pretty at some point. Yeah. He's very pretty. Yeah. Really pretty. Just like lush eyelashes.
Starting point is 00:02:30 Just, oh yeah, very pretty. Everything is pouty. Yeah. There were, um, there are a lot of the men in this movie. I couldn't exactly tell apart though. Sure. Sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:42 . to have like shitty haircuts so you could tell them apart. Yeah. My second note just says, oh god these people. Is that the plane full of college kids? Yeah. Ug, horny teens, go to hell. I'm mad like that grandma. These are my notes. So this is just, this opening scene is just, this opening scene is just aping Final Destination, right? Absolutely. Yeah. A much more successful film. Oh yeah, yeah, a much more enjoyable film. So enjoyable. I don't remember what we gave it, but I think we enjoyed urban legend as well. I did. Yeah. I found it shockingly good. Yeah. Yeah. um. How can you fuck in an airplane bathroom. I don't like to pull my pants down to pee. I did. I did. Yeah. I found it shock. I found it's. I found it. I the the the the the th. I the th. I th. I th. I the th. I the the the th. I th. I th. I th. I the th. I th. I the th. I th. I th. I th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm the th. I'm th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm much much much much more more. I th. I'm much more th. I'm much more th. I'm much more th. I'm much more th. I th. I th. I'm much more th. I'm much more th. I th. I'm much more th. I'm much more th. I'm't like to pull my pants down to pee. Because if the plane goes down, they're gonna find your corpse with your pants around your ankles.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Yeah, who cares your corpse? I don't want that. I want to die with dignity. I don't want to die mid shit. Like the guy in Halloween from 2007, they never got to finish his shit. Ken 4A? Yeah, was his his name. I'm like Big Bear Johnson. Grizzled Jimmy Barrington. I don't know. Grizzly Jim. I have not lived any of my life up into at this point with dignity,
Starting point is 00:03:52 so I feel like you can just find me however. Yeah, be either, but I just feel like death I should get a reprieve from being just a shameless sack, you know. And this is a where we start off aping a horror movie and talking about a horror movie. Because we're aping final destination and the nerd guy is talking about Twilight Zone. Right. Plain has a bunch of turbulence. There's a roving bar cart which is actually incredibly dangerous during a turbulent situation. That was seemed really scary to me. I thought, oh that's tense.
Starting point is 00:04:22 But I also liked that everybody emptied all the booze off of it. I did too. The people are in the bathroom, he is going down on her, and then she looks up at the mirror and it says you're going down written in blood, which was clearly not their moments before. Yeah. And she goes, you're going down, and he goes, yeah, yeah I am. Which is horrible, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which, which, which, which, which is, which is, which is, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which, which. Which. Which. Which. Which. Which. Which. Which, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is horrible, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is horrible, which is, which is, which is, which is horrible, which is horrible, which is, which is, which is horrible, which is horrible, which is horrible, which is horrible. They come out of the bathroom to see that a man with a knife has killed everyone on the plane. You know all those knife mass murderers? Yeah, I also thought, ooh, this movie that came out in 2000 didn't age so well year later.
Starting point is 00:05:00 No. No. No, no, no, no, I guess not. Not a lot of knife movies after that on the plane. No, no. Oof. But yeah, and we get the- Wait, is this proof that the government did 9-11? No. Okay. I mean, like, briefly dated a 9-11 truther. It was terrible. Oh my God. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:25 I thankfully have never met one of those that I know of. If I have- You know if you, they'll tell you. They're like vegans. He he he he. And people who do cross that. Sorry, you guys are great. Maybe not so much of your 9-11 truther.
Starting point is 00:05:45 No, because that's just a slippery slope somewhere else. It is. But like a man with a knife does not kill every single person on a plane. That just does not happen. And stuff them all in compartments. They'll just lay there and waited to die with the seat. So the lady from the bathroom goes up into the cockpit, sees all the pilots are dead, hops into the pilot seat, and starts yelling May Day and screaming, and then the director
Starting point is 00:06:11 pops up and yells cut into the airplane. It's a movie into a movie. Yeah, it is, isn't it? But Eva Mendez is there. She is. I love Eva Mendez. I feel like they don't make women as beautiful as Eva Mendez anymore. They were like, this is the last one. Broke the mold. She's so fucking beautiful. She really is. And I don't know what she's doing in this movie.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Just hanging out. At one point, like completely brawlis and it's pretty amazing. Yeah, her tits do look fantastic. She is acting against a Bunko Julia styles, would you say? But I get very excited when we meet Professor Solomon at this point. And why is that? Because he was Ellis from Diehard. He's the cokey guy from Diehard that like goes and talks to the terrorist and is like, I know John McLean. Hart Bachner. Which sounds like, A, a bad scrabble, and B, a name that you make up on the fly to the cops. Mr. Bachner?
Starting point is 00:07:12 Hart. He's talking about how they're all getting to go to the greatest film school that has ever existed. And in my opinion, that campus is gorgeous. Where was this filmed? In Toronto, or outside Toronto, like somewhere in like Ontario. Gotcha. But just like, when they showed like they swoo, like come in on the campus over the river, people kayaking next to the campus. So I was like, this is fucking beautiful. And it's all like super modern-looking architecture, it was really nice. Well, Canada is better than us. As soon as they trot out Anthony Anderson you're like He's gonna just this is our third when else would we tell with Anthony Anderson?
Starting point is 00:07:53 Oh, okay. Remember he was the cop in the town the dreaded sundown? No, that's right. The remake from 2014 and also law in order Bonn. No, you can't start it you know I have to to finish. That to to finish. to to finish. to finish. That to finish. That's to finish. That's to finish. That's to to finish. That's the the the to finish. That's the the the the the the the th. That's th. That's th. That's th. That's th. That's th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. no, you can't start it, you know I have to finish it. Bar, bar, bar, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. You know who I love? Well, you have to do the whole thing. Yeah, do you want me to do the clarinet part or now? Might as well. Listen, I'm going to leave this up to you of how much you cut. If it's none, I understand.
Starting point is 00:08:25 A dick wolf production. I love Loretta Dada, da, da, da, da, da, da. Listen, I'm going to leave this up to you of how much you cut. If it's none, I understand. A dick wolf production. Yeah. Uh, ha is great. She is fantastic. If you need somebody to show up and tell a bunch of white kids they're being fucking assholes? I feel like she gets a lot of I'm doing finger quotes black person lines in this movie. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:08:53 But I find it less abrasive than with like raw digger in 13 ghosts. Do you remember that? I do? Or she's just there to yell, motherfucker at things. Over and over, yeah. I do, so, all right, so I was immediately overwhelmed by all the teens I'm supposed to remember, or early 20-somethings, I'm sorry. There are just too many characters. Too many. I was like, oh, it was like, they all tried to get through the door in my brain at one point and they got stuck and I went, well I just don't, I can't, I'm, to, to, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to. to. to. to. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, to, the, to, to, to, to, I, to, I, to, to, to, to, to, to, to get through the door in my brain at one point and they got stuck and I went, well I just don't, I can't anymore. I gotta, I'm, uh, and I just shut down for a little while. And the problem is that half of them are early to mid-20s white men with prominent cheekbones. Yeah. Like I cannot tell the difference between Travis slash Trevor, which I cannot fucking believe is real. Anson Mount, even though I know what Anson Mount, fucking looks like. Which one is Anson Mount?
Starting point is 00:09:49 He's Toby, the one that they accuse of stealing the film. Is he the one that's in legally blonde? I don't know if he's in legally blonde. No, Trevor Travis is in legally okay. Anson Mount, I know mainly from his role in Crossroads, the Britney Spears vehicle at the same time, which I wish desperately was an action movie so that we could do it. We could do it on this podcast because we just do whatever the fuck we want. When we need a really good palette cleanser, we should probably do that. It's got Britney Spears, it's got Zoe Seldana, and it's got Terran Manning, who you need to cast if you need somebody to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to be somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody somebody to be to be to be to be to be a to be a to be a to be to be someone, to be to be you need to cast if you need somebody to be like a little bit fucked up Has apparently got fucking cool modie in it. Yeah. Holy snaps
Starting point is 00:10:27 Yeah And Anson Mount and Justin Long and Kim Kroll and Dan Akroyd So, you know, okay. Yeah, all right. Yeah, one yeah, at some point you know what we should actually punish these people for not picking the Lindsay Lohan movie by making them watch the Britney Spears movie We'll do Crossroads and then then then then then then then then then then th and th and th th and th th the they they they they they they they they they they'll do they'll do they'll do they'll do the they'll do the they'll do they'll do they'll do they'll do the the they they'll do they'll do they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll their they'll their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. We'll do th. We'll do toy. We'll do toy. We'll do toy. We'll toy. We'll tho. We'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll they. Wean movie by making them watch the Britney Spears movie. We'll do Crossroads and then we'll do Among the Shadows? Perfect. If you don't talk me off that ledge I'm doing it. It's the holiday season we can do whatever the fuck we want. You want to be thankful for some Britney Spears? Let's think this through episode which terrible movie we're doing. So yeah, so we meet, we meet Reese. She is disgruntled because she was fired as the head of security at Pendleton because
Starting point is 00:11:17 they wanted to cover up the deaths of all those students, question mark. I love that they kept her love of Foxy Brown from the first movie. Yeah, she really is just charming. Anytime she's on screen you're just like, oh you, I love you. Yeah. And I like her and Amy just like quoting Foxy Brown and coffee and stuff like makes me so happy. It was cute. It was cute. It's cute. It's cute. I took one film class in college and I found it very dumb. Really? Yes, it was intro to film and we talked about auteur theory, you know, which is like, right,
Starting point is 00:11:53 you know because you know stuff about films. And I just kept arguing that John Hughes was an auteur. I still think he is. And the professor who was like some, you know, grad student who just wanted to be dead. I was like, no, I'm sorry, John Hughes can't be an auteur. And I was like, but why? But why? Like a fucking toddler. So you won.
Starting point is 00:12:17 I mean, in the way the toddlers always went by just asking the same question over and over then yes. Toddlers and Socrates. Yeah so she tells her all about what happened at Pendleton and Amy's like oh I guess I'll do that for my senior thesis movie. Yeah. Okay wow you were really? Which super pisses off ants and mount because he owns the horror genre? Like when they did the first film class scene, that lecture hall was full of kids. You mean to tell me none of them is making a horror movie? No, all romcombs.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Just Anson Mount. They're all doing documentaries in rompics. So silly. I hated literally every man in this movie. What about Anthony Anderson? Yeah, he's not playing a great role. No, I feel bad for him. He's like, did you ever see Summer School?
Starting point is 00:13:09 No. There's these... Wait, Randy Dangerfield? No, that's back to school. Summer School is, I can't remember the lead actor's name, but it's, there's these two characters named Chainsaw and Dave, and there's these two dudes whosesed, thua thua thua tho tho tho tho tho th're these two dudes who just love horror movies. And they're constantly making like special effects and all this dumb shit in class. And that's what Anthony Anderson and other guy. Yeah, I know him too.
Starting point is 00:13:32 I know that actor from things too. Haven't you seen him before? He looked like a familiar guy that I did not, could not place. Cut to the bar scene where somebody, Rufi's some Cosmos. Yeah, Rufi's Travis and a woman's Cosmo. You know There's so many indiscriminate women in this movie. Yes a blonde woman. Yeah. It's a cool, everybody's smoking in the bar which I thought wow remember smoking in bars in the early 2000s? I do. I do. I quit smoking and I was straight edge so no.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Wow, cool for you. She meets aunts and mount who were meant to believe possibly Rufi the drink. Yes. But she doesn't actually have to. She's the one who's in trouble for that, yeah. And she's chugging Cosmopolitan. That can't be good. The bartender takes them off a tray of cosmopolitans, and I just thought, how many people in this bar are drinking cosmopolitan's?
Starting point is 00:14:29 All of them watching sex in the city. He just racks up Cosmos. So crazy. There was an errant apaltini in there as well. Oh, God, that just made me do the thing where like you the size of your mouth, yeah. It hits you in your A1 glands. Yeah. Get you here, get you right here. Right there. So she, we start to see from her perspective,
Starting point is 00:14:51 she's like very fucked up. And she wanders into the coat room and picks, looks at her number, and then goes around looking at all the numbers on the coats, instead of just looking for her coat. What now? How would how how how how how how would would would would would would would how how how how how how how how how would would would would how would how how would would how how would you how would you how would you how would you how would you? the? You might know what color it is, dumb, dumb. And then we get the homage to Black Christmas. Which is the plastic bag, yeah. She wakes up in a bathtub full of ice. It is the kidney heist, urban legend, which my father told me when I was really little. Oh yeah, oh yeah, he said it happened to a friend of his. Yeah. Yeah. She's, this woman is like relatively well for having had a kidney removed.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Yeah, yeah. And the kidney is just sitting there, like at least sell it. That's the point of selling, of the kidney heist is that you take it and sell it. You don't just leave it on a tray. It was also so clean, so very clean. Yeah, it looked like it might have gotten run under the bathwater. It also looks like a braided hala bread, but you know, I don't think kidneys look like that. For what I was reading it is a goat's kidney. Oh really?
Starting point is 00:15:56 Yeah, which are bigger than human kidneys. So what is it, like, I guess when I think of a kidney, I just imagined a very large kidney bean. Yeah. But it was all braidy. Yeah, I don't know. I don't get in there and look around too much. Well, when we start our urban legend killings free, we'll know. I also thought, I bet that would feel pretty nice to wake up in a bathful ice. No, it's terrible. No, no, it's terrible. th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. tho. tho. I. I tho. I tho. I don't tho. I don't tho. I don't tho. I don't tho. I don't tho. I don't tho. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't th. I don't thin. I don't thin. I don't thin. I don't thin. I don't thin. I don't tho. I don't the. I don't thoe. I don't thoe. I don't tho. I don't the. I don't tho. I don't tho. I don't tho to do it to keep from getting sore after like running long distances. Yeah. And it works but it feels horrible. Okay. It makes you want to die. What about waking up in one? Why? How could you sleep? Yeah, because you've been roaved. I see. And at that point you're like, it's definitely uh,
Starting point is 00:16:39 two braids, what's her name? Two braids? The blonde woman woman who always has two braids for the first half of the movie and then doesn't? Oh, Sandra? No. Oh. The main woman, two braids. Oh, Juanco Julia Stiles. Yeah. Amy. I thought it was her. As the murderer or the person waking up in the tub? The murderer? Okay. Oh I, um, at this point, I think I thought it was, uh, what's I guy's name, Anson Williams? Yeah, that's the one. Yeah. I think I thought it was him. Yeah. I thought the Riffie Boy was just the Riffy Boy.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Well, we're wrong about both. Yeah, it's true. Uh, you think you could cut off somebody's head with somebody? How loose is their neck meat? I don't know. What if they just said, like, what if there was an area of your neck where there was no bone connecting it and it was just like stuffed full of salami? You know what I mean? You cut through and it just was like, whittlue? That's why that dog was barking at her because you could smell the pepper. Was that geno? That's the gel-a-nue. that. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's thineuu-a-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-s. the-o-o-s. thneneneu-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-a the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th is was was was was was was th. th-s. th-s. the-s. thneuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuneuneuuuneuuneuuneuuuuneuuuuneuuuuuuuuuu. there was ibrous. Grabbing the like kidney wound was really narly.
Starting point is 00:17:48 That really made me like do the thing of like, ah, and almost cover your eyes, you know? Also, why was she stuck? She just like got out there as far as the dog could reach, and then she was like, I can't get any more. Her hips weren't lodged in the window. No, it was a wide, wide window. And also, how is she so agile after having amateur surgery? Literally momentarily, I go. Who can say? I wrote, and a beheading, this film sure has it all, which I write many times throughout the course of
Starting point is 00:18:19 this film. How can a film, no spoilers for the rating space, have it all and also literally nothing? Literally nothing. That's a great question. We're going to have to discuss that. Oh, she calls 911. Oh, she's like, 9-1-1. Oh, she's like, oh, I can't need a return. And she's like, oh, yeah, I got a fucking man. the ta-nayne-a-o'-a-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'-n'er. th-n'er. tho'er. th-n'er. th-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a'er. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th.. Yeah, 911. That would not happen.
Starting point is 00:18:45 I just don't think that would happen. I know we've had mean, we've had conversations about mean 911. Yeah, where's our frustrated 911? Flustered 911? Where's your kidney? Can you pick it up? Oh, shit! I did like grabbing a razor wire, because that's got to hurt like a mother fuck. Yeah, that's nice. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. We're the, to's got to hurt like a mother-fug- yeah that's nice. So like Amy is flirting with Travis and I just feel like he's not dreamy and don't
Starting point is 00:19:08 try to convince me that he is. She is flirting with him but also seemingly doesn't care if he ceases to exist. Yeah yeah that's the thing everyone dies in this movie and nobody gives a single shit. No one is upset when our Russian dies. Starting point is 00:20:05 I remember reading the one about how the woman screaming in roller coaster of love by the Ohio players is like a woman getting murder in the studio and how they were like, that's not even remotely true. Starting point is 00:20:37 But I don't know who the woman was that gets the kidney hays. Is that his girlfriend? Because he doesn't care that she's dead. No, he doesn't care that she's dead. No, he doesn't. No. Because they talk about knowing each other since they were kids. I read on the Wikipedia that they shot that scene with the kidney thing later because the film didn't have enough oomf in the beginning. They wanted to give it a little bit something at the beginning. So that it's completely tacked on. It's just they added an entirely new character character. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it. It's the the th. Also, Anthony Ashton is definitely 30. Oh, yeah, he's a grown-ass man.
Starting point is 00:21:20 But they say something like, um, these people are all in the same film school program, but some are directors, some are photographers, I had to look up what DP was, because they keep saying DP but they never say what it stands for. I am not a movie maker, I'm a movie watcher. I'm not a movie maker, I'm not a movie. I'm certainly not a movie. And if I was a movie, I would be Crossroads. I started Britney Spears. Director of Photography.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Director of Photography. Some of them are doing like special effects. Some of them are acting. Mm-hmm. And like, there's a guy who couldn't get into the school. They're all making movies
Starting point is 00:22:11 together. I get that part. Is Evil Mendez taking boom? What is she doing? I don't know. Sound. Sound. Because they say later I gave you an A in sound major. I mean, I'm sure that's a th. th. that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. they. they. they. they. their. their. their. their. their. their. tha. tha. tha. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. t. their. t. t. their. t. their. t. their. their. their. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. sound major. I mean, I'm sure that's a thing you can study, but I wouldn't think it's I don't know. So I don't know. I guess my point to all of this is that I have no idea what Joseph Lawrence is meant to be doing in this film school. He is apparently there studying to be a dickhead. He's a complete piece of shit. He's a my dad owns a dealership kind of guy. He's a I'm like 10 months out from my pinky ring. Yeah. But I don't know what his purpose is. Except just to say like my dad can get you money, my dad will pay for that. And to later like strong armor and everything. Yeah. No that's Travis. No that's Trevor. No that's Trevor. No, that's Trevor. No, Joey Lawrence keeps like getting up in her face and he's like, you're got to do this because
Starting point is 00:23:12 your dad is a thing that used to do a thing and now you're going to do a thing. Wait, was that him or was that Travis or was that Trevor. No, it was Joey Lawrence. It was like your dad was a documentarian and now you know you're just a legacy. Oh yeah, which she's like, like if he won Oscars, how could people not know? How could people not know? Yeah, no, they're not people not know. It's not like they're studying film at film school at the greatest film school. In the world. It's not like they have the same last name. It's not like she's making the same kind of movies th famous movies th famous movies th famous movies th famous movies that her th famous movies that her that her th famous movies that her that her that her th famous movies that her th famous kind of movies that her that her that her th famous kind of movies that her famous father made. Sirs!
Starting point is 00:23:46 They make a big deal out of whoever that old guy was that's going to be teaching now and that just never comes up again. No, you're right. They should have taken his kidney if I'm being honest with you. They literally introduced so many characters that they're just like, oh, I don't know what to do with any of these. It's just so they can all die, I guess. But that old man doesn't even die. No, it's true.
Starting point is 00:24:07 He probably doesn't, we just don't see it. Was it Travis, Trevor, one of them? Was just drinking- What do you name Twins Travis and Trever? For sure? Really? For sure. . Dakota and Aubrey. Mercedes and Hypnotique. When my cousin Vicky was pregnant, we tried to convince her to name her,
Starting point is 00:24:31 we assumed she would be having girl twins. She did not. Named Portia and Fusha, which we thought would be really great for her lifestyle. Trevor. So, whichever one is on his front front porch smoking a cigarette and drinking a bottle of sweet mash. What is sweet mash? It's like bourbon is a mash whiskey. Okay, but it just, sweet mash.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Sounds like yams. This is Travis at this point. Okay. Let's, let's, we need to delineate when he becomes Trevor. I mean, it is the same actor with the same haircut, the same sweaters. And the same facial scar. They do nothing to like, they don't swoop his hair to the side.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Give that dude a side part. Literally a wig, I would have taken a fucking Chris Gaines floppy haircut and Soul Patch, literally anything. I don't know who that is. Chris Gaith Brooks, Garth Brooks, got the alter ego. What? What? Wait, wait. Back up the trucks.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Mip. Meep. Back them up. Garth Brooks. Garth Brooks. Adopted a Goth alter ego? Like, kind of like Altrockie. Okay. Hold on, I'm bringing up a picture of Chris Gaines right now. He had a wig? Oh, oh, Katie. I don't know what Garth Brooks looks like to begin with.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Oh, why don't I put a picture of the two of them side by side? me. Okay, hold on one second please. Mm-hmm. Bah. Garth Brooks and Chris Gaines. No, wait a minute. What is happening there? You know, they do look very different. So did he, were people in on the joke? Do people know that he was Garth Brooks? And no one, no one, no one bit. No one was like, oh, maybe we'll give him a shot. We'll see what this Chris Gaines is all about.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Wait. I don't understand this at all. Did, I mean, did the public know that Chris Gaines was Garth Brooks? Yes. Well, how'd they find out? I think he looks like him? Yeah, I think it was just a known thing. Oh he was like, by the way, now I'm Chris Gaines. Yeah, I mean it was like, it wasn't like Richard Bachman to Stephen King where it was like a weird pen name that he had. Like, he was just like, I'm doing this Chris Gaines thing now. I see. This is my alter when Beyonce like rebranded herself for like a
Starting point is 00:27:05 hot 15 seconds I was like I'm just fiance's. Yeah. And I get it. Yeah. But yeah I mean any of those things done to Trevor would have been nice. Anything. Sorry I'm that's why I was like this cannot possibly be true that this is his twin. He's obviously him he's obviously had is his twin. It's obviously him. He's obviously had some kind of mental break. He's obviously the killer. No. No.
Starting point is 00:27:29 That is actually not true. It is his twin. Oh, fucking hell. I was all in reading the Wikipedia about this movie. The director said that he cut out a lot of the exposition because it was it was was it was it was was was was, it was, it was, thia, thia, thia, thia, thia, thia, thing, thing, thing, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, is thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, is thi, is thi, is thi cut out a lot of the exposition because it was pawking the movie down and I was like I can yeah yeah sure that makes sense because this is bad it is just everything that happens you're like but why? Do you like that the the film school is in the Orson Wells film complex? Uh huh just want to make sure you like that. I do like the that she's to start off her movie with the people can lick to, the the the the to, the the the the the the to, the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I can't, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, to be to be to be to be to be to be to be thi, th. Yeah, thi, thi, thi, the the the the, the, the, the, the, the the the the the the togs, the togs, the, the, the too-uh, thi, thi, the the thi, that. I do like the that she's gonna start off her her movie with the people can lick too or dogs aren't the only thing that can lick urban legend. And she asked Travis if he knows any DPs because Toby's
Starting point is 00:28:18 pissed and he's like yes Simon I'll send Simon your way and Simon shows up as like the Russian assassin DP? But like, why not just actually get an Eastern European person? That guy was doing the worst accent, I have ever heard. That can't be true because we did Veronica. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Analysix is my speciality.
Starting point is 00:28:40 She's a Psyco. I wish we did that movie again. That was better than this, honestly. He says to Eva Mendez, do you know you are a beautiful woman? And I was like, yeah, I think she fucking knows she's a beautiful woman. She's literally the world's most beautiful woman. And she says if you were a girl, I'd fuck you. Like would you? What about him says I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f I'd th f s I'd th f s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s' I'd tho thock that's tho' that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a girl, I'd fuck you. Like, would you? What about him says, I'd fuck you if you were a girl?
Starting point is 00:29:08 I don't know. Just that pretty little pouty face? Which he looks just like Joey Lawrence, Jimmy. Do you know that Joey Lawrence had a sitcom with his brothers? Yeah, Matthew Lawrence and, uh, the other one. And they all just look like car, or like, Xerox copies of Joey Lawrence and have got like slightly off kilter. Matthew Lawrence had a bit of a career. He was a child actor. He was in like, I think he was the one of the kids in like Mrs. Doubtfire. Why do I know this?
Starting point is 00:29:38 If you'd like to see me out that window, I will. I mean come on it I just went out a complete Chris Gaines Diversional. I mean there's not much to say about this movie. We see Sandra get killed. Yeah and it gets filmed. Yeah and then spliced into her movie later where we see Sandra can't act and then when she is being killed they're all cheering her on. Does Sandra need to be in film school? Sure. I feel like she would be in like a the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the c. C. C. Does Sandra need to be in film school? I feel like she would be in like a theater arts program. You know? They need actors at film school?
Starting point is 00:30:12 Right, but they can just borrow them from the theater arts program where she could learn how to act instead of learning how to do sound. Do you know what I'm saying? I don't know, we've all seen her naked. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thea. theateateateateate. the. I'm theate. I tho. Yeah, not a good person. Not a good person. Not a good person. No. Not a punchline. Everybody who wants to make OJ jokes. Who wrote this movie. Who wrote this movie director. This is the director. the director. the director. the director. the movie, the director, the movie, the movie, the director, the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. Oh, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho. Oh, tho. Oh, th. Oh, tho. Oh, tho. Oh, tho. Oh, shot. This is a movie direct, this is the director's only movie that he ever attracked. Oh, really? I'm shocked. But he's like a film composer who works with Brian Singer, I want to say.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Oh, that's a famous guy. Yeah, but also a really bad guy too, right? I don't know. And Brian Singer like molest a bunch of things. We are, where are we, where are we? Sweet match, sweet match, sweet match, Eva Menendez. Even Mendez, killed her baron. So, um. You know so much true crime shit. Well, those are famous ones. It's true. And like, uh, timely to each other,
Starting point is 00:31:42 contemporaneous. So we get Saunders death, the guy's hiding in a pile of cloth. Right, where you do, where you hide? Yeah. You do. It gets to a point where when we find out where the killer is, much like in the first movie, where you find out when the killer is, you're like, Rebecca Gahart could not have lifted any of the people she had to lift. Yeah. And this guy could not, does not look like he can, is as limber as he would need to be to be this killer. It doesn't make, it doesn't make any sense that anybody could be the killer.
Starting point is 00:32:17 No, yeah. No, unless everybody So then we see they see Sandra's death on film. Yeah. They go outside for some reason and learn that Travis has killed himself. Yes. Travis like had to steal Sandra's thunder. As Toby said, he blew his entire head off. Yeah. Which makes you go, of course, when this new guy shows up who's Trevor, that's obviously Travis because there's another corpse. He says like dental records wouldn't even help. Yeah, which makes you think, okay, so clearly. And also you're an insensitive brick. Oh yeah, that was your friend.
Starting point is 00:32:57 Oh yeah, that was your friend. There was somebody standing next to you as friend for sure. Oh God. How do you feel about the killer in the fencing mask? I liked it actually. I thought it was a little bit creepy. What about you? Yeah, yeah, and it's one of the few masks that's going to give you a good field of vision. Yeah, definitely. Definitely, definitely going to keep you agile anyway.
Starting point is 00:33:18 I really like it later on when he's dressed in the minors min min min min steam punky. Yeah I think it's it's very it has that spooky blankness to it which I like yeah you know and it's also like well anyone could have a fencing mask you can just buy them yeah I liked it. It was also giving me I know what you did last summer vibes too. Yeah well that movie and this are this came out what two years later yeah I feel like it's trying to do quite a th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th to th th th th th th the the the the the the the the the thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the are, this came out what, two years later. I feel like it's trying to do quite a bit of things that that movie did. And Scream had come out by this point too. Scream was like 96. I know what you did last number is 97 and this is 2000.
Starting point is 00:33:53 And Urban Legend 1 was 98, I think. Right, which is already aping the aping of the apings. The thing is just that like I have such a fondness for those other movies because I saw them when I was a teenager but having never seen this I feel like I can step back and you know objectively say it's terrible you know. And this doesn't even give you other than Eva Mendez and Hart Bachner. You're not getting any like, there's no Jared Lido, there's no Terrier Reed, there's no, that guy from Dawson's Creek.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Sandra was like the shitty Terror Read basically. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Or Rebecca Gahart, who quite frankly is fun to watch. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. I forgot about the guy from Dawson's Creek. Never forget. But the way I feel having watched this movie must have been how you felt when you watched, I know what you did last summer, and you were like, I cannot believe you like this, you know?
Starting point is 00:34:55 When she, what did she yell when she's spinning in the middle of... Come and get me! What are you waiting for? Spinning around, tits to the sky. Man, she's a bad actress. You know, I know, I do. It sucks. She's great and, uh, fuck, I get it. She's great and, uh, Fuck, why get anything of the movie.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Can't hardly wait. No, she isn't. She's terrible, but everyonethe name of that movie. Can't hardly wait. No she isn't. She's terrible. Everyone else is carrying that film. She has very few lines. Which is to everyone's benefit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So my notes are so sparse of this. I'm sorry. It's fine. I just have like, yes, my twin sons, Travis and Trevor. And then is he having a psychotic break? And then if your friend had a twin, I feel like you'd know. His logic for why she doesn't know about him is he's the fuck up who Trevor, like, and he's gotten in trouble with the pop, so they can't call the cops because he's gotten in trouble with the cops.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Like is he on the cops because he's gotten in trouble with the cops. Like is he on the lamb? I don't know. And if so she's harboring a fugitive by letting him sleep in her room. He's a stranger. He's either your friend who's having a nervous breakdown or he's a complete fucking stranger. And either way, he must be the killer. And either way, don't fuck him. No. That scene I was like, what? Thank God that was a drink. I loved that the fuck dream sequence opens up on just his back lit ass so you could see all the downy hair on his butt tee. Yeah, it's so fuzzy. As a man with a fuzzy ass, I really appreciate it. I think most men have fuzzy asses. But it's not like a, it's not a,
Starting point is 00:36:46 it's not a selling point. And it shouldn't be lit like the corona of a son. It was a very round ass and it was very great ass. It was so funny. It was funny. And she's fully clothed. He doesn't even ask her name upon them meeting. So you're like because he knows it's two braids. What's her name again? Amy. Because he knows it's Amy because it's fucking Travis. Yeah. Or may feel as everyone keeps yelling at her.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Okay. I didn't catch that. Like they're on a football team or in the military together. Here in film school they break you down and build you back up. I just love to like she meets him he's a dick and she's like oh you're a dick let's do this. Yeah because she was into his twin so you know sort of yeah that's true. She was like into him but not enough to even like glance at him I guess. He committed suicide. Oh man. Anyway so I'm making this dumb movie that I just thought of. And literally it's in production. How did how quickly did she write that script? They're urban legends write themselves.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Yeah. Then when they get to the last scene of the movie, her movie, what is your movie about? What is happening? Oh, the very last scene with the movie and a movie and a movie. Oh, like, what is your movie is going to be shit, Two Brades. Were those his parents playing his parents in the movie about his dead one? Oh no, I don't know. I don't know whether to hope they are or hope they aren't. But okay, so she's running away from, she's running away from the fencing mask bad guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:41 She is in like the music room room basically. He's playing scary piano which is deeply unscary. And she's hiding under the scary piano. She throws her bag and hits like a some chimes and then instead of like getting up and quietly running away she stands up and goes ah and then balls down. runs there a bunch of music scenes. And she music. You had a chance to plot your escape. You were there a while. When she's running from them outside later, wait.
Starting point is 00:39:13 And she hits the boat house and trips over every single oar. And then he does the same fucking thing. How are they storing these? Are the oars just in a coffee mug? Everyone's run into like pencils on a teacher's desk? I'm like, this will do. What is happening? She runs out of the building and right into the woods.
Starting point is 00:39:36 She's in the middle of the woods. How did she get there? She runs out of the dock. How did she, what is any of this? But yes, she trips herself into the lake and drops the tape. She throws it. She had gotten the tape from Reese. The tape is a security tape that shows the Russian guy getting killed. Yeah, he died. He died. It was an urban legend about screaming to let off steam, which I've never heard. Every college kids at midnight it's going to scream to let up the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tape tape tape tape tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape is tape. Tape is tape. Tape is tape is tapapapapapapapapape is tapapapapape tapapape tape. tape. tape is tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. tape. college kids at midnight is going to scream to let up steam during finals. Maybe don't because people are sleeping. They have a final tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:40:10 No one sleeps during finals. That's not true. I'm just all hopped up on Adderall. You could take your naps. How to do your finals. I didn't go to college. I don't know nothing about no nothing. the ducks to the steam tunnels this film has it all because she ends up in the steam tunnel. She ends up in aliens briefly which is all we can think of with the flashing yellow light and like oh I thought that was actually a head
Starting point is 00:40:31 nod because of the film being called Urban Legends. Oh yeah you can't just name something that you can't just pluralize it worked for aliens it to the. It's a. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the fl. the the fl. the fl. the th. th. the fl. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the At the beginning of the movie it says Urban Legend 2 and then the two spins around to be an S. Did you catch that? I didn't. That was the opening credits. This is my new film Halloween's. Halloween's Wiens. That's Halloween's 3. Oh my god. Yeah, Jesus is running from him. I just love that they're both thwarted by oars. It's just, it's literally a bag of wet hair. Like you're just watching a bag of wet hair on the screen. It's so deeply stupid. It would be like if they were running and saw a pile of yarn and were like, I've got a ball that. Yep, yep, yep. So then she's shooting her next scene which is at a theme park outside of town. One, yeah, this is so bad,
Starting point is 00:41:34 two, some Scooby-Doo shit. Oh, Hondope. Three, how did they get access to this ride? This seems like a major insurance risk. There was a cyclone fence around the park that it seemed like it was closed. But all the lights were still on. Yeah. It doesn't, like, why is she allowed to do this? Is she allowed to do this? I guess?
Starting point is 00:41:58 Wow. The cops didn't arrest her when they showed up later. They're just like, well, this was a foreseeable accident. The cops are so mean. I know. They're so rude to Reese. I know, nobody should fucking be rude to Reese. Never. Leave her alone. Oh, detective, we'll take it from here.
Starting point is 00:42:18 She carries a gun. that. tooe, thiii. She's, that, I don't know if she's allowed to carry that gun. She's an entry-level security guard at this, she tells us she's entry level. I mean, you've seen Pitt police. They're like full- Pit police are, I have gone to the police, they are actual police officers. I used to hire them, it was a terrible job. She went through the gauntlet that was Pendleton. It's. It's. She's. She's. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi, the the the the the the the pit the pit police, the pit. the pit. the pit. the pit. the pit. the pit. the pit. the pit. the pit. the thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. te. tea. thi. thi. the thi. the the the the the the thi., why is she the only person ever working?
Starting point is 00:42:46 There was one security guard and they were entry-level. And her gun, just this will come up later. I actually liked this. It's painted with gold accents. Yeah, like Pam Greer's. I absolutely love dark rides. Sure. I love that scene with the animatronic miners. I love her like going down the shaft in the mine.
Starting point is 00:43:08 I just want to ride a dark ride so badly. I miss the gold rush at Kenny one. I know we just talked about this. I just want to ride a dark ride. I love what the two nerds. Anthony Anderson and the other one do, like putting all the blood on everything and like the pile of baby dolls covered in blood. Did you like on the headless body that said head this way with a marome? I did too actually. And animatronic shit is always creepy. Oh yeah, oh yeah, I think it's great.
Starting point is 00:43:35 When the killer appears in this scene, they're wearing the fencing mask, but there's like long blonde hair from under it and you're like, oh, it's the PA. Sure, sure, sure, or is it Candra? No, it's the PA. But what was that long blonde hair? It was just a wig? It was just wearing a wig with a hat on top of it? Look like a coal miner? Seems uncomfortable. It does. It does. No, I mean, the fencing manore in Maine? It seems hot. Fencing. th. th. th. Fencing. Fencing. Fencing. Fencing. Fencing. Fencing. Fencing. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Seems. Fencing. Seems. Seems seems. Oh my gosh, let us know. This is where we have the sex scene. Wait, we do, I mean Anthony Anderson and his friend get killed. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:44:14 They get electrocuted, I guess. I mean, every them. No, we don't like or care for any of them. Like people will show up and you'll be like, oh yeah, you. Like, Eva Mendez is gone for about a third of this movie. And then she comes back and you're like, oh right, even Mendez is the bed. And then she's like, oh,'s just Rebecca Gahard again. It's another woman
Starting point is 00:44:45 with highly arched brows. Yeah. Another beautiful woman who murders everybody. Yeah. So they get lured into the tower. Mm-hmm. And... There are bodies in there. One is clearly Sandra. And the other one you can't tell if it's Travis or Or Russia or Russia well you find out later it's yeah But like would you hide in a metal closet when you got to the top of a tower? Like no one in this movie when they have the the upper position just fights back? There's no kicking climbing up a ladder at you just wait and start kicking them in the face? Oh, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th. the the the th. Well th. Well, the the the the th. Well, the the the th. Well, well th. Well, well the the the th. There's no kicking. Climbing up a ladder at you, just wait and start kicking them in the face. I wrote in that scene, kick that mother fucker unconscious.
Starting point is 00:45:32 Yeah. Like when they're in the Mary Miner's ride and he's climbing down the ladder and she's hanging around it, just rip him down and make him fall and jump on to him and break of his ribs. There are things you could do in this situation. Absolutely, yeah. He's going to murder you, it's okay to kill him. Right. That's the rules. That's the rules.
Starting point is 00:45:52 Those are the rules. Those are the rules. We didn't make them. We just follow the dummy falling on the table when Sandra and her were talking. I did not. I think that's funny that you did. Not Sandra, Amy, I'm sorry. I interchanged too many people then.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Oh, you mean the blonde woman or the other blonde woman? The other blonde, 20 something that I know nothing about and have been given no backstory. Oh, your dad was Bunko Alicia Alicia tha or your Bunko-Julia-Stiles in this world, you know. Nobody's Bunko-Alisha-Wit. No, you can't be a Bunko-Alisha-Wit. It's true, there's one and only. One and only. I did like when we see Sandra's body and there's rats going in and out of her chest cavity. You like that. I like that. I. I. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. I th. th. th. I th. I th thi. I thi th th thi. thi. thi. thi. I thi. No. thi. thi. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to theeea. thi. thi. thi. the. Yeah. So somehow now they go to look to watch Travis's movie but I don't know why. I guess they want to see why it got him a see? Why though? What difference does that make at this point? Because they say we got... Oh, oh they go to the database. They go to the database. They go to the database. They take out her name and everyone else had worked on that movie. That's what it is. The database. All right. The database!
Starting point is 00:47:07 Imagine if I'm explaining something to you and I have to show you what one name removed looks like. I can't just say, oh, if you're not part of this, all the other people that were are a part part of the movie. And you'd be like, I'm sorry. No, you need to see it. I need to see it calculate. Tabulate. I need to see it in a kind of crazy green. Yeah, in computer types. Uh, then she says splice about 1, 1800 times, which I really hate. I hate, I don't, I just hate when people say a word over and over in a movie like this. It makes me crazy. She's like, look, it's a splice. It's done with splice. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's done. It's the splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a spli. It's a spli. It's a spli. It's a spli. It's a spli. It's a spli. It's a spli. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's a splice. It's th. It's th. It's th cut. There shouldn't be splicing with spicing tape in there. You wouldn't see any splices. That's two lines.
Starting point is 00:47:49 It's just so bad. It's so badly written. It is really badly written. This is the stupidest reason that someone would commit, literally mass murder. Yeah. Because he's going to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be the to be the the the the the the the the the to be the to be the the stupid the the the to be the the the the the the thi thi two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. the spli. the the the the the the the the the the the thi thi thi thi thi two two two two thi thi thi he's going to be found out immediately. And also, okay let's talk about who is a killer is. You tell me. It's a it's Ellis. It's a Hartbrockner or Bokner. Who has exited in Act 1 and we've forgotten about entirely. Sure he comes back to like every once while just like smile.
Starting point is 00:48:24 And to be like sure in a while just like smile. And to be like, true, let's kill himself. Yeah. And then, so it turns out that he, he killed everyone who worked on the movie, because he's stealing the movie, because it's so good he's going to take it to Hollywood and off the strength of that movie he's going to get a three-movie deal and finally get the Hollywood career he's supposed to have people are going to ask you where all the people who are in that movie are and you can't just say I don't know.
Starting point is 00:49:03 It's fucking insane. So many parts of it don't make any sense. like the thi the move. the the the the the the the the the the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie thi, like, like, like, like, like, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie movie the movie the movie the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie the movie, the movie the movie the movie, the movie, the movie, th th of of of of th. th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the the movie movie, the movie, the the movie the movie the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie, the movie are and you can't just say I don't know. It's fucking insane. So many parts of it don't make any sense. Like was Travis truly the best film student to ever come through the great? This is truly the greatest film school ever? There were other opportunities. He was going to win the Hitchcock. Okay, this film is like have you ever heard of Hitchcock? Do you know who Albert Hitchcock is? Wait, no, let me think. Albert? Okay. Albert Hitchcock. Have you heard of him? He makes movies. They're scary. Have you heard of them? I like them. They're psychological and horror both combined into one movie. Can you believe that? Two things? One film. Albert Hitchcock is fucking crazy. You're not going to believe these things he does. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. Al. the their. their. their. Albert. their. their. Albert, Albert, Albert, Albert, Albert, Albert, Albert, Albert. A. Albert. their, Albert, Albert, Albert. Albert. A. A. A. A. A. Oh my god, we named an award after him. It's shaped like an age. And it's literally the only way you can get to Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:49:50 I think graduating from the greatest film school ever is probably enough to get you a leg up. Whether or not you have connections, I think you'll be able to work something. Uh-uh, you ain't got that. One person a year. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi thi. thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the only the only the only the only the only the only the only thi the only the only thi thi thi thi th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiiiiii. thiiiiii. thi film school and it's horror only. Uh-huh, well, no it is. Psychological, oh my gosh, you're right, psychological and horror. Albert. Two in one. It's just... But just the idea, but like, you'd make, it would make more sense if someone wrote a book and you stole the book and said you wrote
Starting point is 00:50:25 the book. For sure. But then you wouldn't have to kill all these people. No, no, no, you wouldn't. You would just have to kill the one person who wrote the book. And maybe the editor who saw the book. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:50:33 And maybe the mailman who brought just, it's literally the stupidest thing I've ever heard. And it's all happening at the same time that Amy is a student there and he has beef with her dad. Yeah, because her dad denied him the Hitchcock or something. Yeah, yeah, it could be because, like, Chet McGillicuddy did a much worse film, but her dad voted for him as the famous man who came in and did the votes. Right. And so I missed my chance to go to Hollywood. It doesn't make a lick of sense. No, maybe you should have left Ontario. Because if you were so talented, I'm sure you could have written another film and just sold the script.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Did it get a hitchhock? No, hea't get a Hitchhock cop. Hitchock. Hitchock. Albert Hitchock. Albert Hitch. Gotta cut it. Even though they all know my name by now. No, they don't, not all of them. They keep friend of me on Facebook. Yeah, gotta cut that out. I know.
Starting point is 00:51:41 It's the dumbest thing ever. He is explaining it like it makes sense, which is really upsetting. And everyone else just goes, oh, yeah, I can see how that would drive you to murder. All of these years later? You mean to tell me there wasn't another student film before Travis's that he could have stolen? He's so good he has to steal a student film but it has to be Travis. Uh-huh. No. So, um... This is bad shit. How is this a movie?
Starting point is 00:52:09 I thought I may have lost the plot a little bit because when they get to the spaceship alien set, I was like, ooh, I kind of want to see that movie. I would love to see that movie. I want to see that student movie. Is that where the professor screams, fuck teaching! What an educator! Do you like how useless Joey Lawrence is as an attacker? I do, I think he's funny.
Starting point is 00:52:33 When he hits the professor with a charity, he's, that only works in the movies. Film Guy to Film Guy, that only works in the movies. So Reese busts in, and she does not believe two braids. She believes the professor. Sure. Yeah, as you would do. Am I going to trust this crazy-ass white girl?
Starting point is 00:52:50 She says. Yeah. And somehow, like a whole cache of guns are spilled on the floor? Fake guns. I don't know where they came from. There was like a rack of guns and Trevor Travis was bumping against it with Professor Ellis. Got it. And they knocked them all over and then they had to pull out the guns to shoot each other. But we know that Amy has the real gun because she knows that Reese's gun is inlaid with gold. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:53:16 And the camera swoops down to her hand to show the gold nubbins. I feel like I knew before they that. I just want to make sure. Yeah. Oh the g sure. Oh the g sure. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the. the. the. the. the. the. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. the. the. So. So. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the.ovins? I feel like I knew before they did that. I just want to make sure. Oh my god. So she shoots the professor. Yeah he like attacks her and she shoots him in his tum tum. And then they cut to Joey Lawrence and I just wanted him to go whoa. And then there's another guy. I didn't know who the other guy was because there's's Joey Lawrence and Trevor, and then there's somebody else in that room. Oh, I don't know. It was, I don't know, maybe it was Anson Mount, I don't know. Because I thought he got shot. Yeah, I think so. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:53:51 I don't know. I don't know. the th, th, tho. My last note is this is convoluted as fuck with eight ewes in it. Yeah, but then it gets even worse because we see the Hitchcock Award being awarded posthumously to Travis which is fine. Sure, sure. His brother Trevor is accepting it which I still don't fucking believe that's on Travis but okay. Sitting between his parents, Tina and Tony. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Yv, yep, yep, you've reached Tina, Tony, Travis and Trevor, leave us a message. We see the PA on the balcony wearing a trench coach. This also not a bad time for trench codes and our assault rifles. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't like it. No, nope. Um, he don't like it. Nope. Nope. He goes to shoot Trevor. Question mark why? Yep. Uh-huh. And Reese says something snippy, snappy, and shoots him and he falls over the balcony and then lands on an airbag. Uh-oh, it's a movie. It's Amy's movie and everyone's so proud of her. She's wearing sunglasses on top of her head because she's a director.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Amy, what are you doing, girl? Amy, no. I hated it so much. What is your movie, Amy? What is any of this movie, Amy? What? Amy, I need to talk to you. Why did you vote for this movie on Twitter? People who voted for this movie this movie this movie this movie this movie thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thoom thoom thoom thoom thoom tho tho tho tho tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, th, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho. thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. tho, tho, I need to talk to you. Why did you vote for this movie on Twitter? People who voted for this movie on Twitter. But why? Come on Mayfield!
Starting point is 00:55:29 So fucking infuriating. Katie. Alan. You want to write this movie? Yeah. Oh, oh my gosh, we didn't even talk about the actual last scene. What's the actual last scene? Is the professor in a mental institution being wheeled around by Rebecca Gayheart? To the Hitchcock presents theme. Bum. Bum, ma'am, da, da, da, da, n'am. And she says, I think we have a lot common. Real talk. Real talk?
Starting point is 00:56:10 Real talk? Yeah, real talk right now? I loved the Rebecca Gahart cameo. I wrote, this last scene is getting at one more point. So can I tell you what I'm giving this movie? A one? Two weeks in a row, two ones. It's been bullshit.
Starting point is 00:56:25 It's been bullshit around here lately. So as much as last week's movie was a bomb to my soul of ridiculous Italian nonsense, this was the polar opposite of that. This made my soul hurt. This like ripped the bandaid off my soul. And it wasn't ready to come off, the scab came and now it's just all raw again, and you have to put more Niosporn on in a new band-aid. Honestly, I watched these two movies, last week's movie and this movie within 12 hours of one another,
Starting point is 00:56:55 and I wish I was dead. Truly wished I was dead. Oh no! Uh-one. One is generous. You think? Well what about that Rebecca Gayheart came out? Yeah, yeah. Because like how'd she get a nursing job? She's crazy. I would have been happier if she showed up at the end of this And she had been the killer the entire time. In the first movie she is the killer for like a very reasonable reason I guess? Wasn't it that her her boyfriend had been killed by Alicia Witt and the friend doing the urban
Starting point is 00:57:27 legend thing? And she has a nervous breakdown and kills all these people, right? Right. Right. I don't know if that's a reasonable reason or if it just seems like it in the face of this. I don't know. I'm going to give this a point five. Point five. You know, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm tha. I'm tho, thi. I'm tho, tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I'm a tho. I's tho. I's a th. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I's. I's. I. I's. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. tha. tha. tha. thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. And tha. And a ththird one, direct to video. Is it Bloody Mary? Bloody Mary.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Are we going to watch it sometime? Probably not. Oh, man. It's the first one that brings the supernatural into it. Oh, no. Yeah, supernatural. That's really getting away from the theme, isn't it? This revenge for nothing franchise.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Yeah, it's Yeah, it's really It's really it's really shit. It's really bad. It's really bad. I wish I had something to be thankful for Let's thank some Petrone. Yeah. All right. So only I only have a few names left to that people who actually responded to my email and also I haven't emailed anyone since August. So I am going to give you some people that wrote back and then I'm gonna give you some that didn't. I'd like to thank Ryan Keene from Pittsburgh PA, friend of the podcast. Yeah. Ryan, I honestly, I keep meaning to message him and I have not done it. So I hope he's listening Ryan.
Starting point is 00:58:36 The seahorse print you Yes, it's beautiful. Jen Scott from Pittsburgh, who would like to share with the world, eat great food, watch fun movies, and be awesome to one another. That is very, very good advice. Very good advice. I'd like to thank Ninina. Ninina? Meenina? My good friend, Ninina? You know my, you know you know Nina? It's what Lucy called her. Oh, Lucy say Christina and she called her, me, Nina. And that's a lot for people who have written back. So I'm going to give some names here. Thank you to Tobiness, Emily R, Salvatore G, Ryan C, Megan K, and James M. Oh, and Ashley H. I'm going to throw you in there too, Ashley H.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Because I like you. Thanks everybody. Thank you guys so tha so, to to to to're so sweet and we just really appreciate your support and you know it's allowing me to sit in a super comfy chair right now with a mic stand that pulls up to my face so I don't even have to use my hands. I've been twiddling things for two hours now. You are a twiddler I've never noticed it until we sat one across from one another and since we didn't have to do a like like to like to like to like to like to like to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the try. try. You get a fidget spinner or whatever it's called. What's that called? I'm too old to use one. I don't have the rods and cones.
Starting point is 00:59:50 I literally don't know what it is. I see them. I theed the, I thrown, I the, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, th, thrown, I thrown, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I don't, I don't, th, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, I the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th... th. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to. to. to. to. to. to. to. tog. to, to. to. toda, today, today just a tape measure? That's terrible. Like when you found out that the candle lighters are just a lighter. What else would they be though? But there's just a big lighter living inside of them. I know. I like that. I like knowing things. It's like, at some point it's going to make the call. What are we doing next week?
Starting point is 01:00:25 Are we... I'm going to have to say among the shadows. All right. I'm going to have to pull the trigger on. I can't believe I was disappointed about Lindsay Lohan. No, I'm excited. I don't think I'm ready for crossroads yet. No, I don't th th th th. Okay. Lindsay Lohan, let me see where it's available.
Starting point is 01:00:45 So yes, you can rent it online and while we were looking it up to make sure that you can rent it online, I notice that it has 2.1 out of 10 on IMDB, which I'm extremely excited about. I mean, I think the movie we did this week is only like a 9% on rotten tomatoes or something. Wow. Well, and that's generous. Oh man, I can't th And this is what you get for not picking it the first time. You knew we were going to do it anyway. And that I'd be mad. So now I'm angry and we're doing it. I tried to stuff the ballot box at the last minute and couldn't even muster up
Starting point is 01:01:19 enough interest in that. I ran a separate poll on Instagram to see if we, and it turned out the exact same way. You're kidding! What did, have people seen the movie we just watched? That's crazy! I don't know. I don't know either. It's like they didn't want us to have nice things.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Yeah, why you guys be in spiteful? You're like a cat shitting right next to the litter box. You know how much much much much much much much much much th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the litter box. You know how much Katie enjoyed the last Lindsay Lowhead film? I begged for that movie. That's my show! Why didn't I just do it? All right, we're just doing it. We're just doing it.
Starting point is 01:01:52 It's your show, too. It's your show. I'm just... Oh, stop it. You came up with the idea, named the thing. on your computer. Is that it? Yeah.
