Starting point is 00:00:00 Blue Mouse! Blue House! Bloom House! Bloom House! Bloom House! Bloom House! You're saying Blue House, not Blue Mouse, right? Shut up!
Starting point is 00:00:30 I was like, is there a Blue Mouse that I missed in this movie? It's like when I do talk to text on my phone and every word is wrong, because I speak English so terribly. I'm from Pittsburgh. Blue Mous. They should have called their production company, Blue Moumouse. Blue Mouse Protection. Would have been cuter? I mean, not to be Pittsburgh about it, but I honestly don't hear a difference between Blue Mouse and Blue Mouse. Blumouse. Blumouse. Blumhoose.
Starting point is 00:01:01 They're all fucking over this, aren't they? They are. They're all over fucking everything, aren't they're all fucking over this, aren't they? They are. They're all over fucking everything, aren't they? Them in A24, like the Big Daddies of the Horror Realm right now. What is A24? What have they made? Uh, your Midsummers, uh, hereditaries. Your Ariaster films? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're like art. Art horror. Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. You're uh, uh, prestige horror films, if you will. Are you saying freaky's not a
Starting point is 00:01:33 prestige horror film? I am not saying that. I'm saying it's a delightful, delightful movie. Spoiler alert. Yeah, anyway, we're talking about Freaky. the 2020 film that had a theatrical release, but obviously, you know, everything's shit. So you can watch it on Amazon Prime. Yeah, it was like six or seven bucks, right? Yeah, you pay thelled me for it. I did. It was nice. Thanks, Patrians.
Starting point is 00:01:58 It's a, but I, you know, with most of those, I'm just like, yeah, whatever, I'll pay a little bit more. I'm not going to the movies. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, so yeah, this is a movie. Yeah. A new movie. The newest movie, the newest movie, the newest movie. Until next week it'll be our newest movie. Next week is newer than this week? I believe so. Wow, we're travel. Yeah, then that's right. That checks out. We just keep hurtling towards the end. Hey, um. We're a new beginning. You believe in that? I gotta believe in something, Katie.
Starting point is 00:02:37 But boy howdy have we done a lot of Bloomhouse films though. Sure, for sure. Like all of your paranormal activities, all of your insidiae. Yeah, mm-hmm. Plus the conjuring, right? Yeah, I think get out. Uh-huh? Really? I believe the, all the, the, um, why can't I think of his name? Jordan Peel? Jordan Peel movies. All I can think of it was Jordan Peterson. I'm like, no, I hate that one. Jordan Peel. Yeah, all of his movies are our Bloom House movies. Huh. And his monkeys paw production company. Okay. Okay. Yeah, and Happy Death Day?
Starting point is 00:03:19 Like a, what's a, a, a were-old fan beyond's darling. Yes, mm-hmm. Uh, Oculus. Oh, also a film we enjoyed, if I remember correctly? Yeah, it's weird that there's such good stuff and such bad stuff. What's you're doing? All the James Wan movies would fall into the bad stuff categories. And the M. Knight Shammelan film Split, which I know I've talked about on this show a bazillion times,
Starting point is 00:03:47 but it is like literally one of the worst things I've ever seen in a theater. I love that that movie being shitty is just a running theme through the spot. We're never going to actually discuss the movie, but I'm going to tell you how much I fucking hated it as often as I can. It's so bad though. I can only imagine I saw that movie from the mind of Mnight Shambhalon I think it's called Devil about the devil being in an elevator with four other people. What? Like they're stuck in a trap like trapped in and and one of them's the devil. Well do you know which one it is is it the one with the horns? Is it the twist that they're all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all the the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the devil. the the the devil. Well, do you know which one it is? Is it the one with the horns? Is the twist that they're all the devils? They're all fucking vampires. Oh, when is that coming out?
Starting point is 00:04:34 I need more shit. Do you do, dude, search out the trailer for that movie or I will send you the trailer, it's so bad, but it has like legit actors in it this time. Really? Wait, if people don't know what you're talking about, tell them what you're talking about. Oh, Death Rider, something or other goes somewhere. It's the new Danzig movie. And it's the one where he said, you're not going to have to wait to find out who's a vampire, because they're all fucking vampires. It's like like the the their their their they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all they they they're all. they're all they're all they're all. they're all they're all they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all. they're all all. they're all. they're all all all all all all all all all. th. th. th. th. that. tho. th. that. th. that. that. th. that. they're all all all all they're all all all all they're all all all. It's all. It's fucking amazing. But it's like Devonsawa is Death Rider. Right, real
Starting point is 00:05:07 actors like Devonsawa. Danny Trejo? That man will be in anything though to be fair. Was there a paycheck? I'm there. Julian Sands. No, it has not been a real actor for a little while, but okay. Uh, your personal favorite, Eli Roth. And starring as, they've all got names like Drac Cassidy and Vlad Thompson, and like, but, What? What? What? What? What? What dancing's name is, but dancing is in this movie.
Starting point is 00:05:43 That I'm more excited about than Devonsawa, I have to be honest with you. What? The comedic genius of Idlehands? You will never get over your lover, Devonsawa. I think that touched you on a profound level. He's real good in that movie. Yeah. Well anyway, Freaky. Yeah, freaky. Do we mention that that's what we're talking about? Because we are. The Vince Vaughn, Catherine Newton vehicle, freaky. I understand that Catherine Newton isn't a lot of things I've never seen and probably will never see. Sure.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I think, apparently she's a very accomplished actor. I don't love that they're doing the, she's all that thing of like this girl ugly and no one likes her like you know fuck yourself actually actually they do you do you do the sclip the scyrelt they do flip the script though because when she becomes hot is when she the the thiverse their hair up in a ponytail and it's usually the vice versa right like I guess so. I'm thinking of that one where we're supposed to believe that th th the the the the the the the the to believe to believe the to believe the to believe the to believe because when she becomes hot is when she puts her hair up in a ponytail and it's usually the vice versa right like I guess so I'm thinking of that one where we're supposed to believe that a Sandy Bullock is ugly and they like take off her glasses and let her hair down and I'm like oh that's right she is beautiful you mean the one where she becomes a
Starting point is 00:06:57 beauty the the thing I think thin, we should do that on our action movie podcast. Is it an action movie? Nope. But yeah, she, well she's in Supernatural, she's in six episodes of Supernatural. I've not seen those. Like season six or seven, I think? Dude, not that far. Oh, well, you gotta get in there. I dropped out halfway through season four when they wouldn't just stop saying, but I went to hell. Well if you stick around you get to hear that a lot more.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Yeah, she is your go-to we need a blonde teenage daughter, seemingly. Okay. She's wonderful in this. Yeah. You wouldn't even know she's 24 years old. What? Yeah. She's a grown-ass woman. She's rent! She probably owns at this point. She's got a mortgage. And a 50-year-old Vince Vaughn, Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:08:00 that makes you feel kind of old? I assume Vince Vaughan and I are around the same age. Right, that's why I'm asking if that makes you feel old becausen is 50. Yeah. Does that make you feel kind of old? I assume Vince Vaughn and I are around the same age. Right, that's why I'm asking if that makes you feel old because he's 50? No, no, he's only 50. I feel fine. Everything's fine. Nothing's fucked here. I see.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Children who listen to our podcast are like this fucking da. going on about. Giggle Dad. That sounds like fake street drugs, doesn't it? Like, oh, there's Giggle Dad on the street. This season on Riverdale, they get into Giggle Dad. So, Vince Vaughn is also spectacular in this movie. It's making me think that I have to rethink my opinions of Vince Vaughn is also spectacular in this movie. It's making me think that I have to rethink my opinions of Vince Vaughn. Tell me what you think about Vince Vaughn prior to seeing this movie. Oh, that he is the dick.
Starting point is 00:08:54 The dick. He's just the dick. We need a dick for this? Well, Vince Vaughn's available. Yeah, get him in here. Because he's a dick and nobody wants to do anything with him. So bring in the dick. A sleepy-eyed dick. Which also sounds like a drug, but not when anyone wants to take. Oh, I would take sleepy-eyed dick and just sleep for like two months.
Starting point is 00:09:16 You'll do a giggle daddy, sleepy-eyed dick cocktail and you're just riding high for a while. I don't want to ride high. I want to ride low. I want someone to just like fold me into a box and put me under the couch for a couple months. Yeah, but he's like, he is fucking batting for the fences as the kids like to say in this. Swinging for the fences. Indeed he is. No, I think, I mean, his physical acting in this is just such a fucking delight to watch. To watch him just being a teenage girl is so much fun.
Starting point is 00:09:59 For sure, and then I have to remember like, he's really fun in old school. Yeah, he's really fun of swingers. Very funny guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess I never realized he's huge as well. Six five. Is he? Yeah, that's like pro wrestler size. Yeah, yeah, I'm only six two. And you're a gigantic man. Well, Vince Vaughn is even more gigantic here. Vince Vaughn's peering down at the top of your head. So the film opens in it's a Wednesday the 11th in the Friday the 13th font which is very great. And there are four teens outside of an enormous manner drinking because that's what teens do. Sure. And Fuckin Isaac is terrible. Which is also what teens do. Sure. And fucking Isaac is terrible. Which is also what teens do. Right. He goes down into this like
Starting point is 00:10:54 basement with a rope banister. So yeah we've passed dad's art collection of like indigenous art. Yeah, stolen relics it seems. It's basically like we need to set set dressing for our call of Gathulu campaign. Totally what it is. And as he's going down the steps to the wine cellar, we see one of the masks is missing on the wall.
Starting point is 00:11:22 And he goes down there and breaks a bottle of probably very expensive wine. Seemingly. Yeah. Do you find that there's something menacing about a rope banister? Just like nothing good down there. For sure. It's one of those things like the, like the big metal door in Texas Jansal Massacre, like that shouldn't be in someone's house. Right, right. Right. That's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a thiiiiii thi thi thiiiii thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thiii thi thiiii thiiii thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thithings like the like the big metal door in a in Texas Jansal Masquer like that shouldn't be in someone's house Right, right, that's a thing you love
Starting point is 00:11:50 Yeah, that's that's a that's you know, that's when you go to a castle somewhere and there's a rope banister there Right, yeah, it's like blocking off part you're not allowed to go to. Mm-hmm. So Isaac gets his. Yeah, the fucking, your first kill is a wine bottle jammed down a throat and then punched in the throat so it explodes out of him. Brilliant. It's stunning. It's stunning. Yeah. I was like, I, this is eight minutes into the movie, I was like, I'm in and I love
Starting point is 00:12:20 this movie. For sure. First off, it kills the shitty kid, love it. Yes, love it. And they're like, you thought this was going to be a funny movie. It's also going to be a gory movie. That's exactly what I need at this point in my life. Yeah. What I need less is that toilet seat death because I found that very upsetting. Why a woman getting her head smashed into a toilet seat until it explodes?
Starting point is 00:12:45 Yeah, what's, I don't understand? What was so? Oh yeah, no, no, no, no, yeah. That was one that was like, oh, I think you totally missed the mark on this one. Why is getting a wine bottle jammed down your throat funny, but getting your head smashed with the toilet appalling? One seems absurd and the other one seems like oh that probably happens. Oh that sounds like domestic violence. Yeah. Okay yeah, yeah, no you're right. So we cut away from that to the other two just porking in the garage. I feel like I don't say porking enough. They're going at it. I love the whole twist of like the guy being like, hey I didn't get mine. And her being like, yeah, you were taken taken taken taken taken taken taken took to to to to to to to to to take to take to take to to take to to to to to to to to to to to to to that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the that, the that, the the the the the the the to to to toooooooo. Yeah, too. I love the whole twist of like the guy being like, hey, I didn't get mine. And her being like, yeah, you were taking too long. It's a vagina, not an all-night drive-through.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Also, they're like, I'm sorry but high school boys don't take too long. No, as a former high school boy. Maybe a handy? You're right, dog. And this guy dies just by getting half a tennis racket on either side of his head. And it is, and I'm right back the fuck in it. I'm like, yes, I love this. Yeah, it turns out if you're going to give me like Tom and Jerry slash Roadrunner deaths,
Starting point is 00:14:02 I'm 100% on board. Totally. I hated that the girl who lives in the house hid in that secret panel and then just opened to... Because she comes back out of it immediately. Oh yeah, yeah, if you're going to go into the secret panel just to stay there. Yeah, wait for something to happen that you know it's safe. Fuck, I need a house with a secret passage or a false wall or wall, th wall, or wall, or wall, or wall, or wall, or wall, or wall, or wall, th wall, or wall, or wall, or wall, th wall, th wall, or a wall, th. Yeah, wait for something to happen, you know it's safe. Fuck, I need a house with a secret passage or a false wall or door or whatever.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Don't you always hope you're gonna find one? Yeah, but like, I live in a row house. Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were on the bathroom. Oh, this is your house. I just broke through the wall. I'm so thahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the thi. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. thi. thi. thi. the ta. ta. ta. toolea. ta. tools tools. thea' thea. thia. tha. tha. broke through the wall. I'm so sorry. You were shitting, weren't you? Oh, I'm so, oh, do that plaster land in your lap? Oh, fuck. I thought it was a secret passage. So there's just a Katie-shaped hole in the wall, where you've come collating man through.
Starting point is 00:15:03 I mean, I was gonna punch a hole through it first and just peed, but now that you're like describing it that way, it sounds a lot better. Oh no! I see! I see! Busting in and yell at secret passage! Just bust in and yell we've got to save the president and keep running fast. Maybe I could it would be like cleaving where I can run through that rowhouse into the next one.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Only if you get a nattie 20. You have to have the the feet too. Where on my 3.5 edition heads at? Woo. I love to please. I also just really love that this movie opens on like a super teen slasher, you know? I just love that it's like a slasher, kids getting chased around a big house, but like to an over-exaggerated degree of death. It's very fun. Yeah, and you get the homage to Michael Myers tilting his head when the girls pinned the wall. Between this and Happy Death Day, like
Starting point is 00:16:10 this dude loves Slatcher movies. Yeah, the writer of this, I think is Christopher Landon, is that right? Isn't that the director as well? Oh, maybe. Chris for Lanen is the director and I believe yes, writer as well. He and Michael Kennedy. Cool. He also did paranormal activity the market ones, which we have not yet watched. And in 2022, he'll be doing paranormal activity. Seven. I'm holding up the... My dude, keep going back to the well. Why not? That thing is an inexhaustible money machine. I mean, we'll probably see it.
Starting point is 00:17:01 I mean, there's a good chance we could get in it. It's still probably filming. You think we could? Yeah, why not? I don't know. I'll write them on email. Do you need a quirky podcast to be in your movie? Do you want to show that you have real horror crud? most popular horror movie podcast on the iTunes. Number one in Treelanka. Yeah, we are both just really normal looking people.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Can we be in your movie? I promise no pony nub. So the killer takes the La Dolah knife, which is this artifact that Rich Dad has, with glowing eyes on the skull on the knife. Which is cute. Yeah, I like it. I like it a lot.
Starting point is 00:17:58 So then we cut to Millie Kessler, who is a teenage girl with a sad family life. Her sister is a very sullen police officer, which is a weird combo. The depressed deputy, yeah. She's just like wearing a cop uniform but walking around like a sullen teenager, being like, mom, ugh, you're like, move out. But also like, again, that like kind of off tonally thing of like the empty bottle-of-like-like-like, like, the-like-like, th-like, the-like, the-like, the-like, the-like, the-like, the-up-up-up-up-s-up-up-s-up-s-s-s, the-s, the-s, the-s, the-s. the-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s. Her-s, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, like, again, that like, kind of off-tonally thing of like, the empty bottle of wine in the trash can, and it's just like, oh, okay. Yeah, that felt very like, after school special, colon, my mom's a drunk, you know, finding a wine bottle in the trash can like that. Especially because it was, what, like, swansonged, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, like, that, like, that, like, that, that, that, that, like, that, that, like, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, that, like, like, like, that, like, like, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, drunk, you know, finding a wine bottle in the trash can like that. Especially because it was what, like swan song, chardinay? Yeah, it's very like,
Starting point is 00:18:52 not subtle. And mom's got a date on homecoming night with Millie to go to the anus theater. Why isn't she just let poor Millie alone? I get it. So, so wethat her husband, Millie's father, has died a year ago and it seems to have been sudden. And it's sad, it's torn the family part. But they all still live together and then still even though Charlene could like easily get a place of her own. Sure. Yeah, yeah. We meet the guy with the weaner dog, who the one friend says,
Starting point is 00:19:25 I love your black wiener to him. Yeah, I don't love that either. But I do love when someone tells her to tit up. It's the same guy. It's the same guy. I definitely feel like I appreciate this movie for for it is like non-stop jokes and entendres and 73% of them hit. Yeah right for sure but I love that they're just like go go keep firing him keep firing let's see what happens I mean
Starting point is 00:20:00 I mean 73% of a big number is a big number of hit jokes. For sure, for sure. Yeah. You're going to keep laughing. I also love how insightful and kind her friend Naila is. Like everyone should be so lucky to have that friend. For sure. Yeah. Although I did have a problem with the black best friend who can tell you everything
Starting point is 00:20:23 that you need to be doing better with your life, like that trope getting brought up in this. Is that a trope? Black best friends who tell you how to do things better? Sure, yeah, for sure. That's the black best friend that tells it like it is. Yeah. Interesting, because I felt that she was very, they did did lot of work to keep her from being token, in that she doesn't die, and she isn't sexualized, and she is just treated like another character.
Starting point is 00:20:52 I don't know, there's no like, hey, we've got a black girl, you know what I mean? For sure, for sure, yeah, yeah, and at no point does she say this motherfucker about somebody or like She's no uh, why can't I ever remember this woman's name? Rodigga Rodigga from 13 Ghosts a film we will reference until we are dead A film that nobody liked. Why I don't know. Man, high school's shit though, huh? Oh, it's the worst.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Riler, like having a crush on that guy with the hair, talks like a baby Markey Mark. You talking about Booker Strode? Why is his name Booker, though? That's not a name for that character. I don't know. His real name is Uriah Shelton. That's a name for that character. Yeah, yeah, it just doesn't, it just doesn't look like a kid whose parents would name him Booker. Mm-mm. But I love. He's like 90% haircut. For sure. Yeah, and he's working it like a look like a kid whose parents would name him Booker. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. But I like... He's like 90% haircut.
Starting point is 00:22:06 For sure. Yeah, and he's working it like a mug. He's making it work. But I like that his last name Strode, another subtle hat tip. Oh, he's that a reference to something. Oh, yeah. Did these guys like horror movies? I'm just joking, I'm sorry. So we find them in shop class where the teacher, it took me like almost the entire, his entire run of this film to realize it is Cameron Fry from Ferris Bueller. I had such a crush on him as a teenage girl. How do you feel about it? I never wanted a Ferris Bueller, I wanted a Cameron for I.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Sure, because Ferris Pueller's a fucking sociopath. I know. There's a line in that movie that I feel like didn't make sense to me until I was an adult, but it's when Ferris is describing Cameron and he's like, Cameron's wound so ti that if you stuck a lump up th a th and th up up up up up up up up up up up th and th th th th th th th th th th th thick thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus ass in two weeks you'd have a diamond. And now as an adult, I'm like, oh, that is me. I just, I, the diamond maker with my asshole. Well, it's a good thing you're living in coal country. Yeah. Feels good man. A lot of diamonds.
Starting point is 00:23:20 But yeah, I hope that I never have to go to another high school football game as long as I live. Why the fuck would you? You're saying I hope it's something that's totally out of your control. What if Lucy becomes a cheerleader? What if Lucy becomes a cheerleader? And I have to go to the cheerleader at the football games. Oh God, what if Lucy becomes a cheerleader? And I have to go to that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, to. I. I. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to you, but I don't want to. No, I'm not going to make you do it. You already said you don't want to do it. I'm not a monster. You're not going,
Starting point is 00:23:48 you're not making me do it. I will do it at a lot for you. I hope I never have to go. I'm so glad we're having a fight about my high school daughter, who's three and a half. I hope this is the worst fight we ever have. This is the only fight I think we've ever really had. I think pandemic is getting to us. Let's move on. So she's waiting for mom because she's the mascot who football players are saying awful things about. Also in my experience of high school, everybody loves the person who is the mascot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're not like an unpopular person and you're the mascot. That's just not how it works, yeah. But no, she's the only beaver that nobody wants or whatever
Starting point is 00:24:32 that one football player says. Also, they're the beavers. That's one of the 27% I think the don't land. Yeah, I mean, you figure he knocked it out of the park with the Bayfield Babies or whatever is in Happy Death Day. That baby is so fucked up. I think about it all the time. He couldn't get two of them. He couldn't get two with those mascots down. That's fair. So she's waiting. Mom supposed to pick her up, but of course mom has passed out drunk on the couch, so she never comes. She's sitting there all alone. And these other teens have already been reported as murdered, so there's like a psycho on the loose.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Yeah, what do they call him, the Blissfield Butcher? Why doesn't she just call her cop sister earlier? Because her phone dies while she's trying to reach her mom...... And, thia.. And, the. And, the, the, tho, tho, tho, to, tho, to, to, tho, to, tho, tho, to, to, to, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's thi, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's thi, she's, she's thi, she's, she's, she's thi, she's thi, she's thi. And, she's thi.. And, she's thi, she's thi, she's thi, she's thi, she's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi, thi. thi. thi, she's just just just just just thi, she's thi, she's trying to reach her mom. Yeah, but how many, it seemed like she called the mom a number of times. Why didn't she just try Charlene? I don't know. It seems like mom is habitually not showing up properly for things. Yeah, mom's got a, well, clearly mom has a drinking problem. Does you remember the Blessfield Butcher. Yeah, he stabs her with the knife under a full moon, I think. And there's like a weird brainwarp thing that happens. And the next thing, you know, she's waking up in her bed. Yeah, she's fine when she goes to sleep. Like she gets taken to
Starting point is 00:26:06 the the hospital or whatever and she's fine, she goes home. Also when he stabs her, they're briefly on top of an Incan Temple. Right, right. That was such a cool animation. It surprised me that I liked that. So which actually like later on on the movie when they have to do the swap back and it's instantaneous I was like, but But last last last last last last last last last last last last last the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be tooom. to be to be toe. And toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. And toe. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. And toe. toe. toe. toe. th. th. th. th. th. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. they have to do the swap back and it's instantaneous. I was like but last time There was a temple and we had to wait till the morning. What's going on guys? Yeah, that's a good point, but I love the like him Her waking up as him. I thought was really fun of him just being like what's going to? What is this? What? What thrown? I feel like this is going to be the same the same the same the same the same the same the same the same the same? the same? the same? the same? the same? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I the the the the the the the the the the the the the tha? the the the the tha. tha. tha. their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their? their. their? their. their. the the the the the the the the the the the the the tip. tip. tip. tip. tip. tipe? tipe? tipe? tipea? tipe. tipe. tipe. tip. tipe. tipe. tipe. tipe. tipe. tipe. this? Who's this? What am I doing? I feel like this is going to be the same problem we had and when we did face off for the action movie podcast or we had such a hard time describing who we were talking about. But yes, he is inside the body of Millie. I refer to him inside of her as Millie.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Okay. And her as murderer Millie. Oh, that's much less confusing Don't worry. I'm gonna give him a different name. I screwed up later in the notes Great So like this is I don't understand I guess the thing is we don't really see the butcher before we don't get to know the butcher before he gets swapped with Millie like we get to know Millie. We don't get to know the butcher. Right. Well, when he's in her body, you know, the, you, you, you, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. I thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. I th. I th th th th th th the th. I th th. I th, I th, I th, th, th, th, th, th, you're th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. thin thi thin thi thi thin thi thi thin. thi thi thi thin. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi don't get to know the butcher before he gets swapped with Millie. Like we get to know Millie, we don't get to know the busher. Right. So when he's in her body, you know, her mom is like cooking breakfast and clearly trying to like make up for the fact that she got drunk and didn't pick her daughter up and then this terrible thing happened to her, he's sitting at the table and just just starts eating with his hands. Or she, I mean she, this is the actress, she's doing Catherine, shoveling food into her face and I just thought, but why?
Starting point is 00:27:54 What is, is the butcher insane? I suppose, like, and he just wants to murder all the time, like as soon as he sees the big, the big kitchen knife, he like picks it up and he's gonna stab the cop sister. He just can't even like cannot help himself from murdering. He just loves to murder. Can't stop, won't stop. Rockefeller?
Starting point is 00:28:16 Yeah. Did we already do that in this episode? I mean, it's one of our trademarks. Sure, the bear, too. Yeah, we've trademarks that, it's our lyric. I'm sure that Jay-Z won't even notice. I'm sure. We are only the fifth most popular horror podcast on iTunes.
Starting point is 00:28:35 And he's only a fucking billionaire. Right. Give us something, Jay-Z. Throw us a goddamn bone. I love that this cop sister kicks into the house and goes, Mom, this house smells like a fucking Denny's. I love that line a lot. How excited would you mean to walk into your kitchen and smell like a denny's?
Starting point is 00:28:59 I mean, I would assume I'm getting a grand slam. Exactly. Moon's over my hammy at the very least. Here's the reason that you might like like to go like to go like to go like to go like to go like to go like to go like to go like to go like to go th like the th like th like th like th like the th like th like th like th like the th like to go to go Exactly. Moon's over Miami at the very least. Here's the reason that you might like to go to a pirate's game. If they hit a home run in a particular inning at PNC Park, then every fan gets a grand slam coupon, a free to free Denny's grand slam. No way. I understand they're changing the ball in baseball because too many home runs are happening. What is like it's the thoom they that's what I thought too, is like, oh, they've gotten too fun, you want to make it more boring?
Starting point is 00:29:29 They were like kids like it too much. Our fan base is getting too young. They might keep coming. Did your high school have a cryo chamber? What the fuck, dude? No. I barely, I, I, I, I, I, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. It was, th. It's, th. It's, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. It's that, No. I think I shared a locker with somebody. I love the whole thing of murder Millie running around like Vince Vaughn getting recognized, but being this high school girl who's trying to like not get recognized was very funny.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Yeah, when he looks in the mirror, it's Vince Vaughn looking in the mirror, but it's Millie's brain, I guess. Yeah. And just like screams, like that scream that he does, and then it flashes Friday the 13th in the Friday the 13th font. I loved that so much. I loved his scream. I love the title, I loved the whole thing. I love him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him him. I the the the the he he. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I love. I loved. I loved. I loved. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. today. today. today. today. today. today. te. today. today. te. today. today. today. tod, I loved the whole thing. I love him impersonating her because it's not at all what we've seen her be like through this movie, but he was just like, hey, I'm a teenage girl, this is what a teenage girl does.
Starting point is 00:30:32 I presume Vince Vaughn has had children. For sure. Yeah, he's just like, teenage girl, I'm going. But he's really fun. And you're fucking... It's so fun to watch. It is so fun to watch. Like, why does he do the cheer to make his friends know that it's him? He's the beaver, not the cheerleader. He's the beaver, not the cheerleader. Also a lot of people probably know that cheer because they seem to like football games there.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Sure. And he probably knows deep secrets about both of them. For sure. Anything. This is bad shit. See, this is a problem with movies like Freaky Friday and vice versa. And this movie is like, as soon as someone starts talking, the whole premise falls apart. You know what I mean? Like, there's so many points in this movie where if Millie would just say something while she's
Starting point is 00:31:25 in Vince Vaughn's body, someone might believe and understand her, but she's always just like, um, wait, could you listen? Could you listen? And it's like, come on! But you can't have it, you know, you just can't have it work that way. That was very funny. The sound of like dick hitting thighs will always make me laugh. I loved the, uh, she's gonna go take a piss scene when she's just standing there flopping her dick back and forth. That was very funny.
Starting point is 00:31:47 The sound of like dick hitting thighs will always make me laugh. The subtitle just said, flesh slapping. Oh, that's so accurate. Wow. It's so accurate. Wow. I mean, it's literally what it is. Yep. Meanwhile, Millie, with Vince Vaughn inside of her, has dressed like in a body suit and jeans and a leather jacket and like a very high pony with perfect eyeliner and perfect red
Starting point is 00:32:19 lip. And I was like, the butcher, an insane man who just piled all that food into his face, then was like, let me perfect my cat eye. I wish there had just been a quick cut to him watching YouTube tutorials on how to do it. No, he's great. She looks great. Uh, and everybody, like, formerly everyone ignores her and now she walks into school and everyone's like, ooh la la.
Starting point is 00:32:51 It's so she's all that she took off her glasses. I hate it. And even Millie, when she sees herself, I don't hate the choices he made. Yeah. Well, this is, you've never seen your own face, right? What if you saw your own face and you were like, I see exactly what I need to do to make this better? Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Yeah. Yeah. And did you think there's any ch- like, could we do a face off a body swap situation so you could finally see your own face? You mean you and me? Yeah, why not? Oh, sure. I mean, we just need like a dagger, seemingly. I just got, I legitimately the pit fell out of my stomach. It was like, oh no, she'll know all my secrets.
Starting point is 00:33:37 But I won't though, I just know the secrets of your armpits, I guess. Exactly, all my secret armpit knowledge. Says the guy that as soon as it's above 60 degrees refuses to wear sleeves on his t-shirts. It's true, I know the secrets of your armpits. What I don't want is for you to see my butt. Because I feel like you'll never look me in the face the same way again once you've seen it. Oh I am a heavy farter now. Oh yeah, get used to that. Okay. No one likes you.
Starting point is 00:34:13 I've been used to that for years. I fucking love Cameron's death though when she pushes him into a table saw. Oh for sure. It is so good. It is just such a fucking delight to watch Alan Ruck get cut in half. I love that, unbeknownst to her, he's killed, unbeknownst to him, he's killing all the people who have been shitty to Millie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:41 Which is like, I love people getting their come-upins. You know that. This is a film of come-upins for sure. Because the girl who gets shattered in the cryo chamber is the the shitty lady. Right, I forgot she got shattered. We didn't even talk about it. I love it so much. Yeah, fuck you, Ryler. That's Ryler. That's such a good shitty teen name. Oh Oh yeah, it's like, I feel like they had a list of like, um, first syllable, second syllable of shitty teen names and just went like one, three, Riler. There we go. Got it. Mixed and match. They were like, McClennna?
Starting point is 00:35:21 No, it's not going to do it. MacLena! George McLeanah. But yeah, she gets shoved into the cryo thing. And murder Millie, Vince Vaughn, finds her. And it's like, oh no! And then she falls out of the thing and shatters. And she's also texting as she was frozen to death, which was funny. Because kids in their phones. It is excellent. It's kids in their phones.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Kids in their phones. But you do see some like frozen gut nerds, which I really liked. Frozen hot dogs, I guess. Yeah. Yeah. I love the people have glommed on to hot dogs on the outside. That's like one of the greatest thing thing thing How did you feel when the two friends take Millie to find her a disguise? And so they put on the the sportsman mask on her.
Starting point is 00:36:12 The Aaron Rogers mask. It doesn't look anything like Aaron Rogers. It's very strange. And he has to hide in a dressing room while his mother turns out to be flirting with her? Oh my god, I'm getting all the, who's that and who's these together mixed up? That was sad, that was sad and I felt unnecessary. For sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And like, unbelievably predictable. Of course she's going to hit on. Like, they are like, oh my gosh, we need to find somewhere to hide in this parking lot. And then they're like, they pull into a strip mall.
Starting point is 00:36:48 And Millie's like, no, not the store my mom works in. Like, was it the only store in that strip mall? Why don't you go into like the TJ Max that's definitely next door? It's also the proper response. Oh, go on. No, please. I was going to say the proper response to that is, fuck you, Ryler. Fuck you, Ryler.
Starting point is 00:37:12 I have to say though, discount Bonanza not a great store name. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go with Ross dress for less. Sure. Gabes. Gaves. Ga. Gabbs. Gab's, got got got got got got got got got got got got got got got got got to to th. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Gn. Gn. the the th. th. the the the the that the that the their that's their their that's their their their their their their their their their their their their their their that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. th. th. th. that. th. th. th. to. to to to to to th. to to to to th. to the. to the. to the. that. that. that. that. that. th. that. th.'s. Gaves, got it to Gabes. My mom is such a hot mess though. It's like, sucks to watch. It does, but I did like the like, hey, so would you like to go for coffee with me? Oh God, no. And then the recovery of, no, we should go for dinner some time, but I'm married. But I'm married
Starting point is 00:37:45 yeah. And then mom gets mad at him which I appreciated. Poor mom though you get the impression she hasn't felt a connection with anybody lately. Yeah for sure. Yeah yeah. Anyway whatever there's some chasing around. So the cops are chasing Millie, who is in Vince Vaughn's body and clearly looks like the police sketch of the Blissfield Butcher. His eyes are so sleepy. So sleepy. No one's eyes, no one else's eyes could be so sleepy.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Meanwhile, Millie with Vince Vaughn inside of her is at the, was a Grim Golf, Sp-themed mini-golf course? When that guy hits on her, and Finn's fallen inside of Millie says, your touch makes this pussy drier than sandpaper, you fucking monkey. I was like, that's a good line. Can I tell you what I thought of in that moment? Yeah. Poor Ben Shapiro's wife.
Starting point is 00:38:47 They're dry, dry, dry, dry vagina. I'll never stop thinking about this until the day I die. I'm really ass pussy. It's... So yeah, as we all know, uh... turns out even a glow in the dark mini golf, not fun, not a fun experience for anyone. No, I was like, oh, I like the idea of spooky theme mini golf, but I still don't want to do it, you know? Yeah, I've been to Monster Golf out in Monroeville after the first nine holes you're like I don't want to do this anymore. Is Monster Golf, I guess it's horror themed. Yeah it's spooky, spooky times. I've never been. And it's all black light and yeah, so it's this place. It's this place, it's this. It's this. It's this place. It's this place. It's this place. It's this place. It's this place. It's this place. It's this place. this place. this place. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. Ioooooooooooo theannn. Iooo teann. tean. tean. tean. thean. thean. Ioooo thean. I th. I th. I's this place, yeah, for sure, 100%. Fuck it, I'm still not going to go. No, I'm never going. I don't know why I thought Monster meant like referred to like maybe the gargantuan size of the course. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:53 Or the energy drinks that you have to drink to play in? Genuently, yeah. So, I don't know. Meanwhile, they've like rescued Booker who was about to be killed by Millie, murder Millie. And he is like immediately on board with this idea that Millie is actually in Vince Vaughn's body. Not just on board.
Starting point is 00:40:20 He's going to try to fuck Vince Vaughn. He's a teenager and Vince Vaugh is a 50-year-old man. It's like unsettling. If they had kissed it would be statutory problems. Is it weird that I want to kiss you right now? Yeah. Yeah, it's a hundred percent it is. Although I oddly found Vince Vaughan very attractive in this movie. Oh, that is odd. I was like, I'm into this, I mean to what you're doing here. I loved that whole conversation with them in the car. And like, they're like, you know, she tells him who she is by reciting the poem that she wrote for him, which was really cute.
Starting point is 00:40:59 And then like, just that thing like flips the switch and he's like, I'm gonna fuck this 50 year old man. I'm gonna do this. So hard, Vince Vaughn. You're sleepy, I'm a mothfucker. It's sort of interesting, like an interesting concept that she can talk openly about her own feelings when she's not in her body, I guess. For sure.
Starting point is 00:41:23 And also when she's extremely hard pressed to make sure the people can believe who she is. Yeah. That's true. I kind of hate the jock with a heart of gold stereotype thing that's happening here though. For sure. Yeah. Booker is just such a totally unbelievable character. It's such a bummer that that's who she is like attracted to. Like there's not like, I don't know. Yeah, the, the, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thee, thee, thee, thee, thee, thee, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thi, thin, thi, thi, thin, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that's who she is like attracted to. Like there's not like, I don't know, why not bring a nerd into this situation? Right, instead of like the very handsome guy who also happens to be nice, shocker. I do love Joshua's mom yelling at him. Joshua, you are many things, but straight isn't one of them. I thought that was very funny.
Starting point is 00:42:08 And I also love that their home was covered in just portraits of them. It's like knock knock, but much funnier. Oh, knock knock was hilarious. What? Yeah, it's very, yeah, it was very silly. I love that like, they're like, we have to go do a thing. Joshua, you have to stay here with Murder Millie tied up to a chair. Stay here by yourself with Murder Millie.
Starting point is 00:42:37 It'll be fine. And he's literally just like watching reality TV with this murderer tied up in his living room, going to the fridge and like getting another drink. It just felt very like bad shit to me. I liked it a lot. Yeah, for sure, for sure. And I like the, I also like the thing of when, what is it, Nila? Is that the friend? Yes, Nila and Vince Vaughn go to the police station with Booker. And Nile immediately gets deputy sister out of the police station, gets like breaks it and gets the knife like, I was like, damn, she's good. She is good.
Starting point is 00:43:11 And so, oh, so they learned from mom, like the, the seigneur, at their school, the Spanish teacher, that, uh, basically that if they, if she doesn't stab Vince Vaughn, no, if Vince Vaughn doesn't stab Millie, yeah. Mill, okay, with the knife by midnight that night, that they'll be stuck in each other's bodies forever. Yeah, yeah. So they have to go steal the knife from the police station, which does not go very well. It doesn't, it does not go very well. Charlene's a wild shot. I like Shar a lot. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I don, I don, I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I. I. I. I, I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I, I, I. I, I, I. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't know know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't, I don not go very well. Charlene's a wild shot. I like
Starting point is 00:43:47 Charloot. I don't know. I think I felt for her. Yeah, I like the sad older sister troop. You like that? Yeah, I could see that being appealing to you. And Millie, Vince Vaughan and Millie's body has told the jocks that they need to have a party down at the old mill, which I think is where he wakes up at the beginning of the movie. Right. They get it so nicely decorated. They really do, so quickly. Yeah, there was also like a really off-tunnel joke in the beginning where this guy's the guy's asking if he's got drugs and Vince Vaughn is yelling, I feel like a teenage girl. The guy's like, I want to feel like a teenage girl. And that's funny until the guy says,
Starting point is 00:44:29 I'll S-Y're D, the whole thing. And it was just like, yeah. That might have gone too far. I might have gone too far. Yeah, I was definitely laughing. I want to feel like a that. It's just not it's just too far but it's fine I mean 73% sure sure sure you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Oh man that's really nice I came up with that. Should we put on a t-shirt? Yeah I have no copyrighted. You miss 100% of the hot dogs that are on the outside. Shoot for the moon and even if you miss you'll land among the hot dogs on the outside.
Starting point is 00:45:10 So there's also a, let's see there's an attempted rape at this party, but all of those guys get murdered, which is nice. With like a liquor bottle, which is excellent. A liquor bottle and then a chainsaw. Yeah, oh yeah, and then a chainsaw? How did no one hear that chainsaw? Too much party. Yeah. But also, like, I would love to go to a big party. Would you? Yeah. With a bunch of teens. I didn't say teens. Like maybe cool kids in their mid-20s. I was just watching this feeling very old, too.
Starting point is 00:45:55 You know, I was like, am I too old to wear a body suit? Yes, you're too fucking old to wear a body suit. You're almost 40 and you're someone's mother. I don't I think you I think you could do it. I think you could do it. You've got your elegant jammies on right now you could definitely wear a body's in my business pajamas because they have a shirt pocket collar and a cuff. I wish you had a little handkerchief in your shirt pocket. I know I actually keep my weed pen in there. Oh, God. So, you're never going to believe this, Katie. What? But, you're never going to believe this, Katie.
Starting point is 00:46:34 But Vince Vaughn, Millie, inside of him gets the knife. And he's got a watch on that Booker gave him. Because earlier in the movie, Booker said, I always set my clock five minutes ahead. It saves my ass all the time. Oh, Booker, you're so practical. He's too hot to be that practical. He's too hot to be that nice in high school. For sure.
Starting point is 00:46:57 He's like, I loved the poem. I was so hoping it was you. Like, fuck you, you know, the teenage, the the tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, that that, that's, to to, that's, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, to to to, to to to, to, to to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. that's th. that's tho, tho, tho, tho, that's that's tho, that's that's tho.a.a.a.a.a.a. that's that's that's tho. too. to.teenage boy says that. But so they have to, she has to stab him by midnight. Of course, the alarm goes off, it's midnight, and she's like, no, I didn't stab him yet. And then remembers the booker they can stab him. Well, they're like, why isn't the bell ringing? And I was like, your town has a midnight bell. Do you know that have a church close to you that rings in the hour? Yeah they ring the mass
Starting point is 00:47:29 times, they don't ring at midnight. Oh okay. Be fucking rude as hell to be ringing that bell at midnight. Do you know many people live with an earshot of that? I guess my church, yeah, because I live near the seminary and they just ring it during the day on the hour. They're ringing that shit at midnight? Can you imagine? It's 12 o'clock and all is well. So they body swap back, and then the cops shoot the butcher. I love when Millie shows up, Vince Vaughan inside Millie shows up just like covered in blood and holding a hook.
Starting point is 00:48:05 It's just like extremely good to me. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Well, my question is, why does the butcher want to stay in Millie's body? Uh, because he can run under the radar more easily. But he's weak. He keeps telling us how weak she is. I did like that when they have their final battle at the end when he comes back. And he's like, I know how weak you are. But that's the thing that triggers Millie to become super Millie. Super Millie. This is after Vince Vaughn was trying to chase her down.
Starting point is 00:48:41 It was like puffing and Nilea just runs right by him, which I also thought that was very funny. Yeah, I did like the the supernatural serial killer that doesn't have a lot of good cardio. I thought that was cute. Do you think it'd be weird to stab your own body? Uh, wow. I mean the answer is yes, I don't know. It's rhetorical I guess. How could it not be weird? The fact that I just looked off into the middle distance and shut down? Yes, it is weird. I feel like looking off into the middle distance and shutting down is an absolutely appropriate reaction
Starting point is 00:49:17 to everything these days. Did you like when she said, I know your weakness from being in your body too and kicks him in the balls. Having balls sucks. And then she fucking stakes him. Yeah. Then she goes, I am a fucking piece. Which was weird.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Also at the end, she develops this like super husky Lindsay Lohan voice that I really enjoyed. Oh, man. I didn't notice that, but now that you said it, for sure. She's got a bit of a low hand vibe before Lohan was out of hand. At a low hand? Mm-hmm. Katie.
Starting point is 00:50:01 So that's freaky. That's freaky. Do you want to rate it? We made it all the way through it without seeing the song I want to get freaky with you. I wasn't planning to were you? No I'm just saying it's always it's always locked and loaded whenever I hear the word freaky. Is it? I want to get freaky with you. We did not make it. We did not make it, folks. We did not make it. Maybe next time. They are talking about doing a freaky too. Still freaking. Yeah. Katie, I do want to rent this movie, I want to rent it too.
Starting point is 00:50:41 I want to rent it too. I think I might re-rent it. Why don't you go foist. Um, I loved it. I loved it. I love it. I loved it. I loved it. I to. I to. I to. I to. I to. I to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to do to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. I. I. I. I the. I tre. I trea trea tre. I tre. I tre. I thea the. I the. I the. I the the. I to to to too. I want to rent it too. I think I might re-rent it. Why don't you go foist? I loved it. I had such a fun time watching it. I like that it's got a lot of like horror troops and teen slashery stuff and then turn some of it on its ear where like the black kid and the gay kid don't get murdered. And they are actually the heroes of the story. Yeah. And the good friends and like I don't know I just really I thought I had like a lot of good vibes and a lot of good jokes and the physical acting was just like so fun to watch. I wish we had seen more of Catherine Newton behaving like a serious like I wish she had more to say I guess. She just says, she has almost no lines while she's the butcher.
Starting point is 00:51:27 Yeah, she's just menacing. I wish she had gotten a bit more to do throughout the movie. But otherwise, I mean, it was just an absolute delight, start to finish. This is like the first movie I've been excited about watching for the show in a really long time. It didn't let you down. No, I'm going to give it an eight and a half. I just really enjoyed it. Wow.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Yeah. If you have not seen this movie, you should really see it. It's just like, it's just a little breath of fresh air in a horror universe. Yeah, for sure. I'm going to give it a nine too. I feel like horror comedy is having th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm th th th th th th tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho I'm tho. Nice, actually I want to give it a nine too. I'm sorry. I feel like horror comedy is having this wonderful resurgence right now. Totally. And I'm excited for it.
Starting point is 00:52:13 Like I think that bringing of, you know, be it like, Tucker and Dale or this or Happy Death Day or, you know, just having that like honest horror and honest laughing combined into one thing I think is really joyous. Yeah, not slacking on either front. Right, right, right. I feel like Shaugh the dead kicked it off and everyone's just been doing great since then. Which is awesome. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Well, I like to laugh and I like to be grossed out by gory stuff. Thanks for letting me put mine up to a nine, to, tho, to, to, th, th, to, th, th, th, th, to, th, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, to be tho, tho, tho, to be, to be, to be, to be, tho, to be, tho, tho, tho, to be tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. And, tho, tho and I like to be grossed out by gory stuff. Yeah. Thanks for letting me bump mine up to a nine. I wanted to give it that extra half point because it made me think I wanted to make out with Vince Vaughn for some reason, which I feel like is a powerful thing. That's good directing. So, Katie. Alan. I'd like to do a little shout-out to a patron. That's a follow-up to a previous shout-out from a patron. Oh my gosh, give it to me.
Starting point is 00:53:21 This is from Nino. Kita's dad. Nino! Hi, Nino! Nino said she's right. I was absolutely floored to hear your kind birthday wishes this week at the end of the Nightbreed episode. Somehow I feel like I'm famous now because my name was set out loud on the podcast. Thanks for... You're not, I'm so sorry. Thanks for doing that for her. It was a delightful birthday gift. Not that I'm old or anything, but Kita's back in the will after this. Oh, I'm glad we could get Kita some inherited assets.
Starting point is 00:53:59 He does go on to say that he's not a big horror movie fan, but he does love Gialo. And recommends that we do the bird with the crystal plumage at some point. Just throwing it out there, I agree with them. You want to do it next week? I'm sorry, we've already watched. No, no, no, no. But maybe, maybe after that? Maybe the week after that. What are we doing next?
Starting point is 00:54:28 Thank you, Nino. It was wonderful to get that message. Next week we are doing another movie from the year 2020. We're doing PG-Pyco-Gorman. Another horror comedy movie. Also available on Amazon for rental if you'd like to rent it. And yeah, that's the other thing about these, like because people aren't getting box office money, like the little bit more expensive rental is like, yeah, maybe you're helping people out.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Yeah, I think so. Hopefully. Hopefully. Hopefully. You can find us on the internet. Please leave us a review if you'd like iTunes or not it's not iTunes anymore.
