Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 340- Black Sheep (2006)

Episode Date: July 12, 2021

In this week's episode, we're talking farms and sheeps and the great outback with the 2006 New Zealand horror comedy "Black Sheep," not to be confused with the extremely popular American 1996 non-horr...or comedy of the same name. Special topics for  your consideration include: environmental activist conspiracy theories, farm talk from two people who know next to nothing about farming, the absolute joy that comes from watching a sheep drive a truck, the fact that the plural of 'sheep' is ABSOLUTELY 'sheeps' and an extremely special musical number at the end of the episode-- stick around for it! Into horror films from New Zealand? May we recommend Episode 78- "Housebound" and Episode 195- "What We Do in the Shadows," both of which were movies that we absolutely loved? Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm sorry, mate. No, that's Australia. So, Lucy's been watching a lot of the show called Bluey lately, which is an Australian. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. the other day I asked her to hand me something. I was like, oh, can you hit me that? My phone or something. And she was like, tha'-might.
Starting point is 00:00:16 So Lucy's been like, tha' thee like oh can you hit me that my phone or something and she was like he go mate and it blew my fucking mind no worries also while I was trying to get her to go to bed so I could watch this movie Rob and I were going to watch it together and it was like paused we were waiting for her to go to bed because she kept shouting I I'll never try to go to go to go to go to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the te try te try try try try toooooooooo te I te I try the to the the the the the the the shouting, I'll never try to go to sleep. So that's really what I was up against for this movie. I'll never try to go to sleep? Yeah. Wow. She'll be like, I'm not try to go to sleep.
Starting point is 00:00:53 I'll never try to go to sleep. Just wait to your 47, Lucy, and that's all you're try to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to try go go go go go go go go sleep., go go go go sleep., go the. the. the. the. thooooooo to to to to to to to to to rying to do. She also recently told me, you've never had fun in your life. You do wear a no fun t-shirt. I do wear a no-fun t-shirt, but I used to be fun. I think you still are fun. Folks listening think you're fun. Nah, they don't know me. Speaking of fun, yeah. Speaking of fun, what are we doing? 2006 is black sheep. A New Zealand horror film. Not our first New Zealand horror film. No. Probably not our last. Housebound?
Starting point is 00:01:31 I loved House bound. Also, this is this house is the same as that. I'm pretty sure. Oh yeah. I feel like a ton of other stuff too. Oh yeah, Peter Jackson's. Brain dead. What's that? Brain dead?
Starting point is 00:01:45 Dead of life? Mm-hmm. Yeah, Lord of the Rings when we did all those movies. Yeah, yep, yep, yep, yep. Was Lake Mungo Australian or New Zealand? Australian. Uh, mm-hmm. Well, now everyone's mad.
Starting point is 00:01:59 God, I love that movie so much. Fuck I hated it. It was a great movie. I fucking hated it. It's so depressing. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. Uh, first note, I've seen this before. Oh. Second note, I'm making a mistake by starting this at 10 p.m.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Why would you start it so late? You know what a clock is? For some reason I was like, I'm gonna watch them both the night before, that way they'll be fresh in my brain. Like you've never done this before. And I watched the movie I've seen a thousand times first. You're really putting in the work, though, you know? Arguably, had I fall asleep during return of the living dead,
Starting point is 00:02:44 no harm, no foul. No, unlike if I fall asleep during black sheep and maybe don't rewind. Did you fall asleep during black sheep? Oh, definitely dozed. Did you rewind? Hmm, I definitely dozed. I mean, you probably didn't miss much. It's a pretty straightforward film about sheep's, the murdering sheep's. Murderous sheeps.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Okay, the plural of sheep is sheep, right? Unfortunately, yes. Okay, I'm going to call them cheeps. If that's okay with you, yeah. Is that all right? It's like how I also like to say, shrimps. Yeah, theyrears. Yeah, thanks.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Yeah. Do you th that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that I don't know in this movie. Okay, that's interesting that they didn't have more work. Yeah, mm-hmm. Do you think that's because they're from New Zealand or because they're not very good? Well, no, I thought everybody was competent. Yeah, I actually did too. But I was just surprised that like I feel like actors from down in that part of the world are just taking over acting in Australia, like every movie we they're like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, like, like, like, like, like, like, they're like, oh, they're Australian. Yeah. And they're Australian. I think there's a lot of beautiful people in Australia. Uh-huh. Yeah. I think it's like opposite England, where they just keep breeding in Australia and making more beautiful people, whereas English people just keep getting worse teeth.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Can I say that? You did? Well, UK listeners, I'm an American. I live like 45 minutes from West Virginia. I'm worse. I'm a shit person. We're all shit people. Wow. Yeah. Just trying to be sensitive internationally.
Starting point is 00:04:17 You ever been around this many sheep? Oh, fuck no. No. Sheep, I don't know what to make of. Like are they nice? Are they mean? I think they're pretty docile? They're very heavy and quick too I think. Aren't they? Are they quick? Let me see how fast a sheep can run? A cheap a cheap can run. Let me see how fast a sheep can a sheep run? How fast can a sheep run? That ram each other, it speeds up to 20 miles per hour. That's pretty fucking fast.
Starting point is 00:04:48 But is that each of them moving at 10 miles an hour and then when they clash it's 20 miles an hour? It's 32 kilometers per hour for our listeners in the UK who I'm just briefly insulted. You're also, your system of maths is better than hours. Oh for sure. The metric one that makes sense. Yeah, the metric one that everyone else uses except for us, we're fucking assholes. Yeah. They tried to institute the metric system in America and we went, uh-uh. I love that whole thing.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Like so much money was spent trying to institute the metric system in America. So many taxpayer dollars. And it their their their tholers, their their tholets their their the metric system in America, so many taxpayer dollars, and it was just America was like, the true. But how many feats are in a mile? That's what I need to know. And how fast can a cheap run? Oh boy. So we start off with folks hurting sheep. Boys on a, uh, four wheelers.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Yeah. Man on quad, boy on quad with my fifth and six notes. Oh good. I was excited to see that the special effects are done by Weta Workshop. Oh, what's that? They are the special effects, Lord of the Rings people. Oh, and they're like, they started out of Peter Jackson's. Boy, fucking down great, huh? I think the effects are great in this movie. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thin, the hurting, the hurting, theat thin, thin, thean, thean, thin, thean, thean, thin, theat, the boy fucking downgrade, huh? I think the effects are great in this movie. Oh, I think so too. I'm just talking about budget.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Pee check? Yeah. There's an onry kid in the leg brace who's watching the people on the quads with their sheep. Yeah. And then goes back and murders his brother's sheep. Why does he do that? I don't know. Why does he skin it? What is his deal? Oh he's a sociopath. Yeah. The end. Okay. I like when the Mrs. Mack comes in and she's like there's been an accident and he's just standing there like head to to tow blood. Like with the sheep's skin that he had just pulled off covering him terrifying his brother. Disgusting. I like Mrs. Mack. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he. he's. he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he. Oh. Oh. Oh. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he. He's he's he's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the he's he's he's he's he's he's he.'s skin that he had just pulled off covering him terrifying his brother. It's disgusting. I like Mrs. Mack.
Starting point is 00:06:49 She's cool. She's hardy. Hardy stock. Here's a note. Oh good, animal rights activists. Do they still make those? I presume they do. They do.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Yeah. Like our kids, like teens, still getting into Pita? Because I imagine Pita has to be like sustained on the backs of lifers, a handful of lifers and like teens at Worptor getting the pamphlet. But whatever WarpTor is now. Before they realize that Pita may indeed be a CIA front. Yeah. Oh, so silly. Just, some of the choices Pita makes, I'm just like, what, are we trying trying trying trying trying trying trying trying to trying to to to to trying to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to. Just the some of the choices Peter makes, I'm just like, what are we trying to win people over or not? What are we doing here? You're just everything you're doing is the wrong choice. Like you have a really good point. For sure. You don't have, it wouldn't be that hard to make it. Nope. Uh-uh. That's why I think it's a CIA front. They're just trying to make the kids look bad. And as a result, these animal rights activists are like,
Starting point is 00:07:46 those fish died free. Like, Jesus, the salmon farm. The well-meaning but idiotic animal rights activists is giving me 28 days later vibes. Ooh. Because the beginning of that, they're the ones who let the monkeys out of the cages. That's right, that's right, yes. Because they're dildoes and don't know what they're doing. Always dildos, always don't know what they're doing. I just refer to the Adelroyd's activist as eco-nerds.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Econnerts. That's good. That's good. That's good. We find out later that he'd like basically chased a sheep off a cliff or something. Didn't he see the sheep go over first? Don't put the brakes on, Dad. It's hard to do. Yeah, that sheep couldn't do it when who's driving that truck? Why did the sheep go off the cliff?
Starting point is 00:08:34 Sheep, are chieps that stupid? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Have you ever seen a far from the mad crowd? It's like a period piece. I love curious peace films. I know you do. I'm such an old person. It's really good but there's a scene in it where a overzealish like sheep hurting dog runs a bunch of sheep off a cliff. Oh for fuck safe. You had one job! You did it wrong. Heard at them somewhere I guess. Yeah. Spoiler alert for far beyond the maddening ground. You're going to be some cheap deaths. For all you olds that were thinking about watching that.
Starting point is 00:09:11 It's a great movie, it's really good. Put your Afghan and watch it. My legs get cold. So cut to the future, I guess. Sure, it says 15 years later at one point. Okay, I miss that. th. th. th. th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th to the future, I guess. Sure, it says 15 years later at one point. Oh, does it? Okay, I miss that. This young man is in a cab, and it pulls up to the farmhouse.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Well, after being completely encircled in sheep on the road. Oh, that's right. That's right. He seems terrified of the cheeps. Yeah. Because his brother tormented him with his dead He seems terrified of the cheeps. Yeah. Yeah. Because his brother tormented him with his dead sheep friend. Would that give you a fear of cheaps forever? I think the implication is your brother's tormenting you with your dead sheep friend,
Starting point is 00:09:58 and you immediately learn that your father has died. Yeah, that's gonna fuck you up, huh? Yeah, walks it into the psyche that sheep are bad. Right, that's fair. Yeah. And to be fair, apparently they are. Well, only after the lab testing goes wrong. Yeah. So we meet, what is the, Angus is the older brother, what's the younger brother's name? The younger brother is Henry. Henry. Henry is back here to sell his share of the farm to Angus. Correct. Who is now like a suit-wearing side-part American Psycho, I would say, kind of guy? Yeah. Yeah. New Zealand Psycho?
Starting point is 00:10:42 International Psycho? International Psycho? International psycho? International psycho. He's like, what are you doing here? And Henry's like, what am I doing here? This is where my father was born. And it's like, actually, but really what are you doing here? He has no idea. Yeah. Why do I have a gummy bear written down?
Starting point is 00:11:03 Gumbare? Hmm. No idea. Were you eating gummy bears? I wish. Yeah, me too. Because, so we see the lab people bringing lab stuff out to dump it into an awful pit. And Grant steals one of like the canisters that has a sheep in it?
Starting point is 00:11:22 Yeah, like a sheep fetus or something, but it isn't. I don't really know what it is. It's a sheep fetus that's been manipulated somehow? Genetically somehow manipulated. And I think there's maybe a sign that's this highly toxic genetic material or something? Yeah, okay, just making sure. They're just dumping into the ground. Yeah. I fucking love it. It's just making sure. It's just the true. It's so great. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. Mm. It's the the the the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, just dumping into the ground. Yeah. I fucking love the look of it when it comes after Grant, though. I fucking love it. It's so funny. It's so funny because Grant already kind of looks like a sheep. Yeah, he definitely does. And he's just like very, very dumb.
Starting point is 00:11:57 And his girlfriend's trying to dump him. And he's just like too dumb to get it, because he's really into these jeeps cheap then it rips his earlobe off So oh, oh, that's what it is. It's not gummy bear They auto by the auto correct happen. It was gummy ear. Oh, there you go See mystery solved. It is so stretchy and so slimy. It's so good. It's incredibly good. I love just like how adorable the little sheep monster thing is. Yeah. Henry's being taken up into the field by Tucker, who is just a fun-loving farm guy.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Yeah, he's the manager though. He's got responsibilities. Yeah, yeah, because his dumb brother can't do it. Yeah, he's not a farmer. There's like a, this is the battle between real farming and fake farming. For sure. That is one of the themes of this film, which is something I care not a wit for. You like to eat them veggies, don't you?
Starting point is 00:12:56 Yeah. You gotta care about farming. Well, that's just not for me. Yeah, it's not for me. Yeah, it's not for me. Water your crops with a computer system, it doesn't matter to me. If it makes it easier on you, do what you gotta do. Do what you gotta do. Why wouldn't you? Like Tucker is not, he's not right about this actually. I'm not team Tucker. You're not? I mean just in this one instance. In this one instance. Otherwise are you team Tucker? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Seems like a fun guy to hang out with. Yeah. It likes to throw sheep over fences. He does that so, um, with such ease. Yeah. I feel like if you work with cheap you're probably tossing them all over the place. Why? Why?
Starting point is 00:13:46 Is it me or? Is it a cheap's job just to like walk around all day? And then there are people and animals employed to keep them all walking in the same direction. That's really what they do, and that's really what. They grow hair, they get shave it? Because they'll wreck the ground if they stay in one spot. You gotta keep moving so they're eating out of different grasses and such. Oh, like the goats that they bring in to eat, not we eat around here. Exactly. I fucking love those goats.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Sometimes there's a donkey. Have you seen them? I've never seen these goats, no. Oh, they because they're super friendly. They love people. The donkey is particularly friendly. I don't know just don't even know. I think he might just be there to herd the goats. I don't know what's happening. He's probably eating grass. Donkeys are so fucking cute. Yeah. Anyway I know something about the animals. I live in the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. Don't they. Don't they. Don't they. Don't they. Don't the dog. Don't the dog. Don't the dog. Don't they. Don't the dog. Don't. Don't their. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. I. Don't. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. Don't. I'm. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. Don't. something about the animals. I live in the city. So there's this like showdown where the eco-nerd lady steals the gun out of their truck.
Starting point is 00:14:53 And she's holding them a gun point and then Tucker's like, you have to take the safety off. It's not gonna work if you don't take the safety out. And they just takes the gun away from her. He's like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have th, you have the th, you have thi, you have the tho, you have tho, you have tho, you have their, you have their, you have their, you have the the the the the the tho, you have the tho, you have tho, you have tho, you have tho, you have tho, you have tho, you have tho, you have tho, you tho, you thi, you thi, you thi, you're thi, you're thi, you're that, you're that, you're tho, thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, th. th. then just takes the gun away from her. He's like it's down a little to the left a little. Here let me just show you and then she hands it to him and he's like you're not getting this back. I thought it was very funny. I like the fake out of going to hand it back. And he's just like no. I do like that she says I will organize the biggest sit in this farm has ever seen. nerd thing to say. Meanwhile Grant is just tearing into a cute little bunny rabbit. Yeah he's so sad. Because earlier he said they're not going to be able to catch us their meat eaters and I was like sir actually. Actually. So they ask the woman what her name is and she says experience and I thought well
Starting point is 00:15:42 that's gonna pay off at some point. Does it? No. No. And no one laughs at her when she says that. No. Someone's name must be Mike because I just wrote down, Moik! Mike is the guy who the sheep kills him in his house while he's making dinner. Right. And experience as the funxhi the feng shii, and th is th is th is th th th th th th th th th th in this room is terrible. Idiot.
Starting point is 00:16:05 She's the worst. She is the worst. And yet, we're meant to like care for her. She becomes the love interest for some reason. Because she's a woman. Oh, is that what it is? They're just always looking for a man to fall in love with. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Must be exhausting. Yeah. Mike's neck is full of brains, or excuse me, Moik. Moik's neck is full of brains. Just a brain atop a neck. His hot dogs are also on the outside of a not mistoken. So many hot dogs on the outside in this movie. Yeah. Did they say this or did I just write the note Mike is well dead?
Starting point is 00:16:42 I don't know. Probably they said that. I also wrote down the phrase rattle your dags, which I meant to look up and see what that means. Oh, I like that. I didn't though. Let's do it real quick. All right. Rattle your dags. If you tell someone to rattle their dags, that means they pieces of dried waste on the tail of a sheep that make a rattling noise if the sheep runs, which I think we would colloquially call a tingleberry. Yeah. That's gross. Rattle your dags. Come on man, clap your poop, let's get out of here. That I love. Clap your poop, let's go. Well I do love when someone says we gotta beat cheeks. Pete cheeks? I really miss the mark not being a dad. I have so many good dad. You are, you have such a, you're like just built to be like,
Starting point is 00:17:35 Hi, hungry, I'm dad. But the other side is like, let me pass on all of my manias to you, child. You know what, though, as a maniac who has a child, you just kind of have to roll with the punches. You just have to try to do better. Oh, for sure. Yeah. I think you're doing a fantastic job. So yeah, they're in Mike's house. They're being chased by a sheep inside of Mike's house,
Starting point is 00:18:01 I just love the idea of sheep as sheep as sheep Well, that made me think might they be? Or are they just not, and that's the joke? Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, that's the joke, yeah. Okay. What did sheep's eat? Just grass and stuff? Mm-hmm. They don't need to go spend more time there and get to know them. I think like one of those like petting farms. I've been to a petting zoo. Sir, I have been to a
Starting point is 00:18:30 bedding zoo. Sir, I've tried that. That's like me being like I have a headache and you're like did you try taking a Tylenol? Stupid? Let me mann't explain headaches to you. Sir, I've pet at least a goat. Maybe we get a range in EMT's outing where we all go to a petting zoo. I'd do that actually. Should we? Let us know if that's something you'd be interested in. Do you guys want to go to a petting zoo? Is there a petting zoo nearby? Oh, there's got to be a regular ass zoo?
Starting point is 00:19:01 Yeah, I I I the roof. Yeah, they have a small petting area but it's been closed since COVID. I guess because they don't want you to give the goats COVID, question mark. Question mark, indeed. I went to the Pirates game and they have a no bag policy. And I was like, had already walked there. And I had my bag with me. I didn't know there was a no bag policy. And I was like, they the the they the the the the the the they was like, I was like, they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they were they they they they they th. that. they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thean. thean. thean. they they they they they they they they they they they the. they th me. I didn't know there was a no bag policy. And I was like, please can I just bring this in with me? It was like my purse, you know, it's not like a backpack.
Starting point is 00:19:29 And the woman was like, no, we have a no bag policy because of COVID. And I was like, how fucking big do you think COVID is? That it couldn't fit in my pocket but could fit in my bag? In what world is having a bag of COVID danger? I was fucking furious with this woman who did not make the rule because of COVID. Is it that big? If it was that big, we'd all be avoiding it. Sorry, just let me push this COVID out of the way. Yeah, like, duck, there's a COVID coming.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Uh, ma'am for fire safety, you can't wear pants in here? Miss, that does not make sense. These things do not line up. Nothing makes sense. For COVID. What did you do? How did you have to finish the situation? I went back and put my purse back.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Oh, man. I carried my wallet. What they think we're gonna bring in? Just a bunch of like dirty napkins. You don't know. I blew my nose at all these. Literally, what I had to give up was my water bottle and sunscreen, which is a hearty fuck you to the Pittsburgh Pirates, as if being 20 games under 500 wasn't enough. Okay, I just got lightheaded.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Can we change the subject? Go fuck yourself, Puckers. Go fuck yourself, Pittsburgh us. Go fuckers. Fitsburg Pirates, I love you. Katie, I don't take this in wrong way. Your c-chie is in shambles. I hate her so much. She's so terrible. But also so is Henry, like he can't figure out how to turn the chains on.
Starting point is 00:20:59 And then they're like talking him through it and he finally turns it on and then just immediately wrenches it over his head and throws it. I laughed real hard at that. So just bashing a sheep's head into a car horn at low speed is so fucking funny to me. Also when they get out of the truck and they're like, who's driving the truck and you just see the sheep with his paws, hoves, whatever they are on on on on on... on the theruck? And you just see the sheep with this paws, hoves, whatever they are on the steering wheel driving the truck. Drives it off a cliff. It's magnificent. This scene is the climax of the film. I was like, I was like, oh, it definitely goes downhill after this scene.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Yeah. They should have done more with driving sheep. I fucking loved that. Yeah. Yeah. Driving animals, always gonna win. Yeah, you got your tunes, is. You got your groundhog in Groundhog's Day?
Starting point is 00:21:55 Absolutely. Don't drive aggressive. Oh, Bill Murray, what a treasure. That movie is so fucking good. It's so problematic if you think about what's going on. It's actually a horror movie, for sure. I never realized it until later how long it takes that, for that, how long that goes on for.
Starting point is 00:22:12 Yeah, well, that and the fact that he's just spending his time to manipulate this woman into thinking that he's the person she wants to be with. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that th that's th th th th th th th th yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, thi thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi's to thi's to to to to to to to to to to thi's to thi's thi's thi thi thi, that's fucked too. Yeah. But it works, I guess. Yeah, but also he's like 80 years old in his brain. At least, 40 years or whatever. It's so nightmares. Do you know what though? You know how often I say, I am the weather? Nobody cares. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:22:39 So there's some science guys. Can we talk about the science guys. There's, there, there, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, thi, th. It, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the, the, thi, thi, they.. It's, thi, thi, thi, thi, toooo, toooooooooooooooo., they.a, too, too, too, taken, too, taken, taken, we talk about the science guys? There's a lab built in one of the buildings on this farm where Angus has employed a Nazi doctor woman? I don't know, I assume she's a Nazi. She's given those vibes. You mean Dr. Astrid Rush? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean if Ernie was a Nazi in the last episode, this woman's definitely a Nazi. For sure. It's also the dankest, dirtiest, darkest lab that's ever existed. It's super secret. But it probably doesn't need to be because it's okay to have a lab on your farm. Yeah, people are experimenting on animals all the time everywhere.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Well, is that true? Okay, good to know. But also, I just meant like, you know, you would probably have a veterinary area, like, you know, it's there's, there's not a crazy thing that you would need to like, I don't know, hide from the world. She looks to play fast and loose and we learned that Angus is hiding her from the world. Yeah, and why is that? Because she's a Nazi, that's a she's got a bad reputation. She's a Nazi. That's probably why I thought she was a Nazi here. Okay. She doesn't give a damn about her bad reputation. No, but she is no Joan Jett. Who is among us, really? Just true, Jone Jett. There's some science guys walking around. They're just there to die. Although I do like when, sort of like, your, the camera zoomed in on one of the science guys and then it it it it it it the the the th, just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just their, their, their, their, their, their, th. There's, their, th. There's, th. There's, th. There's, th. There's, th. There's some, th. There's some, th. There's some, th. There's, th. There's, th. There's, their, their, their, their, their, their, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi thee thi the thi thi thi the th it zooms out a little, and there's just two sheep standing behind him.
Starting point is 00:24:06 I thought that was very funny. The idea of like ominous threatening sheep is also very funny. It is. And then when you see those science guys having been torn apart in literal shreds with sheep just dining on the inside. Oh and Tucker has been attacked. He thought he just got bit on the gum boot, but it turns out that the sheep actually broke the skin and his
Starting point is 00:24:31 foot turns into a whole... Really quickly. Really quickly. Overnight in, but in minutes. He's got a hoof. I do love all the shots of the sheep stampeding, a La Jurassic Park. That is super fucking funny to me as well. When they're, what is it called, murmurating? When they're all like moving as a flock? Yeah. Fuck the sheep in a movie.
Starting point is 00:24:54 No time for that, bro. Yeah. That, I don't like jokes about fucking them. There's too many. But they're the thanks, thatks, thatks, thathea that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, tho, tho, the they. tho, tho, that, tho, what's they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they's, what, what's, what's, what's, what's, what is they's, what is they's, what is they's, what is they's, what is thi, what is thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho, thoooooooooo, they. thooooooooooo, they. thoooooooooooooooo. tha, tha, th many. It's too. It's not so. But it was like inevitable. If you're gonna have sheep in a movie, there's gonna be jokes about fucking them. I guess so. But so they go into the lab and there's like a bled-out sheep hanging upside down with its heart still pumping. Yeah, like its rib cages burst open?
Starting point is 00:25:14 Why though? Why on earth tho? It just, just just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they, and they, and they, and they, but they they, but they they they, but they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're to to to to to to to go.. go. go. go. go. go. go. the. the. the. they go go go they go they go they go they go they go they they they they all zombie sheep? Yeah, I don't know. Because that doesn't make them any better than a just regular living sheep. It seems to actually make them worse. They're like rage-infected sheep. Okay. Why would you do that? What is their goal? What is the goal? Who knows? Okay. Do we ever find out what the goal? Do we ever find out what the goal? Do the goal? Do their goal? Do tho. Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do we? Do the the the the the the the the the the the the the, do? Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do. Do, do. Do, do. Do, do. Do, do. Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, their, the, the, th. th. th. th. th. th. talking to the guy who may or may not have fallen asleep during this movie. Fair, fair, fair, all right. There's a lot of farting jokes in this movie too, which is weird. That always gets me though. I love a fart joke. So Henry and Experience, I almost called her experiment, Experience, followed to the awful pit. Yes, it is so deeply gory. It's disgusting. Just like slipping on animal guts.
Starting point is 00:26:09 And like how hard was it to not fall into that pit? You know where it is? You looked at it a bunch of times. You're like blocked off from the sheep. They can't get to you stop backing into the pit. It was like it was the Sarlac Pit from Return to the Jedi right outside of Java's palace. You know what I'm talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk to to to to to th th th th th thi thi the thi thi thi the thi thi the thi the the the the the thi thi. Yes. to the to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. ti. ti. ti. ti. teauoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom. Ia. I got. today. tod to the Jedi right outside of Java's palace. You know what I'm talking about? I don't. When there's a Sarlac Pit, um... Stuff falls into it? It gets like to do it? It's got teeth. Yeah. It's a monster. It's a monster. It lives in the desert. And people fall into it. So it's not really a pit so much as a being? Yeah. So it's really a misnomer on the the sa. the the sa. the the the sa. the the the the the the sa. the the the the the the the the the the sa in the desert and people fall into it. So it's not really a pit so much as a being. Yeah. So it's really a misnomer on the Sarlac Pit. Sure, for sure. Mm-hmm. Well, this is not selling me.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Spoiler Lord for Return of the Jedi. A movie that came out before I was born, right? Yeah, yeah, born 93? Yep. So they fall down there. She lights a candle, not for light, but to soothe her. She's really an essential oils lady when you get down to it. She's like the girl from your high school trying to sell you shit on Facebook Messenger. I don't know. I just whoever wrote this hates hippies. Yeah, yeah, which is fine by me. I like hippie is fine but I think they deserve as much mocking as they get. For sure. Yeah. So they find a tiny cave that they have to escape in and they start hearing the sheep dropping down behind them which is legitimately scary. It's very the descent. Yeah. And he tells her she has to relax and she does. Oh right a tree, they're trees. I'm a tree, you're a tree. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And she gets so relaxed that she farts. Yeah. No fuking. their sheep all day long. Yeah, thi th. And she th. And she th. And she th they they they they they th. And she they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. they they th the the the the the they. the they. they. they. they. It's they. No. I'd stand there and fight sheep all day long. All day long. Yeah, like, this is where I have a
Starting point is 00:28:11 note that just like, my God, New Zealand loves extreme gore. Because there's a part where someone's just digging like a swab into a goopy ass wound and you're like, holy shit. That was very Peter Jackson. Yeah, New Zealand. What's going on over th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. I's. thi. thi. thi. I' th. I' th. I's th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. Yeah, New Zealand. What's going on over there? You guys are wild. I think about the the puss shooting into someone's custard scene from the... Oh, it's so gross. Oh, God. I get you? Sorry. Ah, ah. So Angus was bit by Grant. Yes. Yes. the eco-nord nerd boyfriend. Noid. You should avoid him. Yeah. Um, thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi th th th th th th th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th-nird boyfriend. Noid, you should avoid him. Yeah. Now he's starting to ba-ah about things too. When he says the little bastard got me, I laughed, like I shriek laughed. I cackled. Why is Grant shearing himself?
Starting point is 00:29:03 I don't know. Some, I know. They hear the sound of someone shearing and it's a massive sheepman shearing himself and then it turns around and it's Grant. And then they're just doing this terrible thing of like shaking the camera left to right to left to right and it's making me feel fucking sick. There's a lot of tricky camera work going on in this. Tricky's not the word you're looking for. Did I mean shitty? Experience asked Grant if he's been eating meat.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Yeah. Well he's been crying, he was crying, I ate a rabbit. It's like, you're a giant, terrible sheep, man. Also, sheep don't eat rabbits, is what you're telling me. So why do he do that? Because he's a carnivorous monster. Oh, right, because they're eating people. Yeah, they're eating people.
Starting point is 00:29:57 That was a dumb idea. That was a dumb ta. Did you like the taxi driver that's now the bill on the taxi is now over a thousand dollars and he's gone and gotten a snack from a table of like craft services to sit in on a talk that's happening? Does he um, wait, does he ever come back, the taxi driver? Yeah, he's, he's when they get, when the group gets attacked by the sheep, he okay. Okay. Good, good for him. I don't know. It's one of those things where I feel like there's a lot going on and then absolutely nothing going on. Like I have a note here that just says telling the sheep to quiet down because you're giving a sales pitch. Because Angus has all these investors coming to see like the new and improved cheaps.
Starting point is 00:30:44 But it seems like he only has one that's new and improved. Right, the old field field, the old the old the old thiiithe new and improved cheeps. But it seems like he only has one that's new and improved. Right, the old field sheep. Okay. The specific, that's the one he fucks, right? He's definitely fucking that sheep. When is he fucked that sheep? I don't, well we find them locked in the house later and he's just has no pants on. Uh-huh. And he's smoking a cigarette. And he's got a sheep hand. His hand is turned into a cloven hoove. Yes, yes. Wait, do you think he's fucking the sheep because he's becoming a sheep?
Starting point is 00:31:13 Yeah. Or not just because he's a person who fucks sheep? Okay, well that could be confusing. Do you love that that that that that that that that that that the mint the mint the mint the mint the mint that the mint the mint the mint the min min min min min min min that that that that the mince. and sauce burns him. Why? Well, it's a classic accompaniment to lamb. For sure. Oh, lamb chops, I have it but lost. Christ, Ethel, I don't know. We're all Colonel Glover.
Starting point is 00:31:37 So the cheaps, of course, attack the sales pitch meeting, where there are all these chairs set up on the lawn. Yeah, yeah. Uh, the cheap are just jumping for joy. They are so happy. Like, the, in like the shots of them all running, some of them are just hopping. They look so joyful. And then they bite a guy's face off.
Starting point is 00:32:02 So many hot dogs on the outside. Why would they be that disgustingly violent? I don't understand. They're just... It's their turn, I guess. Oh, when we see Angus with no pants on smoking a cigarette post-sheep, eughed, he says that he's put his own DNA in the sheep. Yes, like, what? Like, did you inject them with their their their their their their their their their their the sheep. Yes, like what? Like did you inject them with sperm? That's what I'm assuming from the coitus that he just had with the sheep. But do you think he
Starting point is 00:32:30 fucked all these cheaps? Oh, that I don't know. Or did he like jerk it into a cup and then inject them? Because that would probably kill them. I mean, what? Yeah. Yeah. They would just put anything into blood. I don't know. I'm not a bloodologist. You're not a flabotobaltist? A flabotalist? Flobotomist? Flubbitologist? Flubbitologist. I'm not Flover.
Starting point is 00:32:57 No, you're not. thiiber. Because, if you're not careful you're going to become one of them. What, a hippie? That was a good line, too. And then I feel like when night falls, everything just goes to shit. Like, I don't even, all of my notes are just bonkers. Like, oh, he's getting boned by a sheep with big old balls. Oh no.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Oh, when he's dressed up as a sheep try to sneak around. And one of them just starts fucking him? It's so weird. Just like the upside down shot of the sheep's balls clanging back and forth, it's a little much for me. She've got big balls. Do they? I don't know. Should I ask Google or? No, okay. I don't think you want to see the results of that.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Well, I mean, people eat them. Well, you're Rocky Mountain oysters. Yeah. So experience and Henry start making out and Mrs. Mack just like looks away weirdly for like a long time? Why are they making out? I don't know. What do they have in common? They've first survived this terrible tay of sheep, this attempted assassinations. They haven't even yet though because they haven't taken down Angus yet. Yeah, I want to know what
Starting point is 00:34:19 my note that says Henry Fonda Angus means, what did I miss type enough? Fonda. He stabs him. I have, that's my next note, but before that it says, maybe he found him? I don't know. Would you have written that Henry found Angus? Maybe. Oh, he's here at the bottom of the barrel for notes here. He stabs him with the three-time greatest shearer award. Which we all knew was going to happen at some point.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Yeah, it's pretty sharp. Yeah. It seems like a dangerous thing to just have it lying around at your home? Yeah. So the dog has made it back? I don't know. They said the dog home like hours earlier, how big? It's pretty big.
Starting point is 00:35:03 That dog's a smart boy. Everyone respects tha thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thoome thoom thi thi thia thoome thoome thoome thoome thoom. thoom. thoom. thoom. thoom. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thea thea ta ti ti ty. too. too. tooea tooea tooea tha tooea thaea thae. t property. It's pretty big. That dog's a smart boy. Everyone respects his authority. Those dogs are extremely intelligent. Yeah, I wouldn't want a dog who I had to compete with, you know. I need a stupid dog. He's not going to challenge you to things. Well, you do, how was he a trivial pursuit? How is he at Scrabble? You tell me. Probably pretty good. Yeah. I have the note, sheep eats his dick. That sheep bit his peeper.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Yeah, okay. So yeah, there you have it. And then they blow the sheep up with explosive farts. Yeah, methane. I wrote, wow. Wow. Wow. Yeah. And then everything's okay? Yeah, and then Mrs. Matt comes out with some Rocky Mountain oysters? Yeah. And somehow Tucker's okay.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Yeah, Tucker's fine. Because they gave him like an antidote to bring him back. Okay, okay. Yeah, which also might just be Angus's sperm? I'm not sure. He was running around injecting that into people to save them. That's right. That's right. Everyone says sheep's balls are good if movies are to be believed. People are always like getting tricked into eating them and we're loving them.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Until they find out what they are. Yeah. Everybody I've known who has eaten ever said they're disgusting. Really? Yeah. Maybe like a really weird texture, I would assume. Yeah. The movie ends with the dog bleeding. The dog is a sheep.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Bleating. Yes. The dog is a sheep. I see. Do you? Yeah. I mean, I do, yeah. Boy, what a stupid movie. So that is a stupid movie movie.. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. to????? to. to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? Yeah. to? Yeah. to? Yeah. to? Yeah. to? Yeah. to? Yeah. to? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah?. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. to? Yeah. Yeah. to? Yeah. to. to. to. to. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, to, to, to, to, to, to, to. Yeah, to. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah I do, yeah. Boy, what a stupid movie.
Starting point is 00:36:46 So that is a stupid movie. Katie, let's go to the ratings phase. Okay. Um, I thought it was fine. Yeah. It's funny. It's, um, it's not good in any stretch for, it's, it's good for exactly what it wanted to do. It was trying to make this incredibly stupid silly movie, and then it made an incredibly stupid silly movie,
Starting point is 00:37:09 and a lot of it made me laugh, and that's all I'm looking for. Yeah, what more can you ask for? And the gore is great. However, I hearken back to a film we did early in our podcasting career called ZOM Beavers, which was essentially the same movie but with Beavers, and we hated it. We did. So I don't know what the difference was. Uh, yeah, I don't know. I think the jokes just landed in this, where they may not have in Zambievers. Yeah, maybe.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Maybe that had more like sexual jokes that I just didn't like. Yeah, and maybe we were just in a bad mood when we did the Soundpeavers episode. Sorry to the actress from Zambievers that commented on our episode on Zombievers. Yeah, well, make a better movie next time. So what are you gonna give this movie? I'm gonna give it. I mean, for what it's wants to, what it is trying to do, it's doing it really well, right? Sure. Yeah, yeah. It's a six and a half for me. Oh wow. Yeah. Is that good or bad? I think that's really good. That's higher than I would have assumed.
Starting point is 00:38:09 I think I knew going into it that it was absolutely absurdist. Sure. Which is fine. Yeah. It almost feels like it would be like if there was an anthology film where this was a 15 minute segment, it would be perfect. It is very long. Yeah. Very long for what it is. And it's not a very long movie. No, it's like an hour and a half in and out. Yeah. I'll give it a five. Okay. Yeah, totally middle of the road.
Starting point is 00:38:34 If you want to see a movie about murderers sheep, which are hilarious. Watch it just for the sheep. Watch it just for's a sheep. And it just has the stoic sheep faces it's doing it. Ready for its own demise. I love the idea of sheep stoicism. Yeah, that's pretty good. Write that down.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Katie. Alan. Can I read you a review of our podcast? I would love that. This is from 97 Racing. Great podcast, five stars. Great podcast. I listen on Spotify, but had to jump over here to give a five star review. I just discovered the podcast a couple weeks ago and going back through all the old episodes of the movies I've seen. I've tried a lot of horror slash calm. I guess it's comedy. Yep. Podcasts over the years. And this one is one is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Great, th, th, th, th, th, a lot of tried a lot of horror slash calm I guess it's comedy. Yep podcast over the years and this one is one of the few that actually make me laugh. Oh, thank you. Try it out. You won't be disappointed.
Starting point is 00:39:36 I like that this person is talking to other people and not to us. Yeah, I appreciate that. Thank you so much for that kind review and And also, we haven't read it on the podcast, but I want to thank the person who left a review saying how this podcast got them through a difficult pregnancy. Because I, on a personal note, had a very difficult pregnancy, and if you listen to the event horizon episode, earlier that day I had gotten some terrible news and thoubent, I was essentially like going to miss Carrie halfway halfway through through through through through through th........ And, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, to, the, the, the, th. And, the, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the, the, thi, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, I, I, and, I, I, I, I, and, I, I, I, and, the the the the the the thi.a, thi.a, thi.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a. the.a. the. I'ma. And, the. And, th.carry halfway through my pregnancy and it was a nightmare, but doing this podcast kind of got me through it. Oh. So to that person, I just want to say, thank you and I hear you and I feel you and I hope you're
Starting point is 00:40:14 doing well and I hope it all turned out for the best. And you made an old man cry tears of joy. Yeah, you did make out a little misty but I didn't cry, but I'm like a tougher person. You really are, and I will cry at the drop of a hat. I cried listening to a Bain song the other day. My friend, which one? Name names. Oh, I think it's called Calling Hours. It's on their last record, and it's just a really beautifully written. So they are the dumbest band that writes thiiiiiiiiii. to to to to to to to to me th. th. th. to me th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, I thi, I thi, I'm thi, I'll, I thi, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I I I I I I I. I, I, I'll, I'll thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, I'll, I'll, thi. thi. thi. thi. tha' band that writes the smartest lyrics and it's very confusing to me
Starting point is 00:40:47 how much I love that band. That is confusing to me as well, how much you love that band? It's totally not what anyone would expect of me if you know anything about me, but I fucking adore that band. We've all got, it takes all kinds. Oh yeah. No, that's not what I I I I I I I I that's not I that's not I that's not I that's not I that's not that that's not I that's not I that's not I that's not I that's not I that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not thi that's not thi. thi. that's not that's not thi. that's not th. that's not that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's not. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. that's not thi. thi.. No, that's not what I meant to say. I meant to say people contain multitudes. That's my other catchphrase. I'm working, I'm working them in. I like this.
Starting point is 00:41:09 People contain multitudes. Takes all kinds. Katie, hmm, whatever your last name is. Oh my god, that reminds me. Well, I need to read your social security number on this podcast. Katie, 449-994. Stop! Hold on, I have to find something that I need to read to you. Have you seen our Wikipedia page that's not a Wikipedia page? No. But I think it's what the person was talking about who said they were trying to write a Wikipedia page for. This is on Everybody Wiki. Okay. It's an entry for what it's a the thi. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's to. It's to. This is on everybody wiki.com.
Starting point is 00:41:49 It's an entry for a werewolf ambulance. Okay. If I might read you the history section on here. Okay. Okay. I'm actually nervous right now. This show has its roots in Katie's horror movie blog and what will be left of them. Oh God, rest its soul I lost all the pictures from it. And it's so sad. It sucks so bad.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Based on his adjoinment of Katie's humorous reviews, Alan Pitcher on a similarly themed podcast, the first episodes of the show, 0.5 and 0.1, where we're posted on October 24th, 2014, and what will be left of them has not been updated since. Sorry, I only have so much time. About the hosts? I'm referred to as Alan Smith. I'm referred to as Alan Smith. And I think that's because there's a running joke that I don't say my last name. Yeah, what's the, isn't Alan Smithy the name people use when they don't want to say he was good? Yeah I love that. Alan Smith was born in 1974 in
Starting point is 00:42:50 Delaware. He also lived in Philadelphia before settling Pittsburgh. He is a six foot two vegetarian. It's so true. Yeah that's what how I would describe you. He lives with his partner Missy and one or more dogs. He works as a computer operator. Two dogs, two cats, and a computer operator. Katie, she continues to live in Pittsburgh with her husband Rob, child Davy Boy and Cat Glenn. What? Davy Boy?
Starting point is 00:43:20 Katie earned a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. What? That's the information you got from me. Long-running jokes, Savini Watch, Papap, Brian from Wings, Advice for Children. Advice for children. Kids. There's, oh, first revealed in episode 23's discussion of Dario O'Gento's film Suspira, both Katie and Alan are fluent, speak fluent Italian.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Did we say that? Oh, I hope we lied about it. The host share a common favorite horror film in Clive Vargasor. This is all, this is fake news. Yeah, that's what that dude's whole thing was that he was making up a bunch of bullshit. Oh, I love it. You know what, I did earn a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, but I can't believe you didn't say that I drive a Corolla. That it's scented of very old vanilla milkshakes. It fucking stinks these days. I don't know what's wrong with it.
Starting point is 00:44:19 So I found out the other day and it made me laugh. That is wonderful. Thank you for putting that together. That's the hardest I've laughed in a while. It's just Alan's little bio there. Just really tickled me in its truth and simplicity. Six with two vegetarian. Six foot two vegetarian. One or more dogs? Can I get a shirt that says six with two vegetarian? vegetarian and people like yeah got it yeah nailed it also Glenn no fuck off Enzo you shit on the floor no one loves you I mean Glenn gets brought up a lot more than he's a monster they're both monsters yeah we never did
