Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 358- The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020)

Episode Date: December 6, 2021

In this week's episode, we're discussing the sequel to a film we really enjoyed-- it's the 2020 follow-up film "The Babysitter: Killer Queen." Did we enjoy this one as well? You'll have to listen to f...ind out! Special topics for your consideration include: the hip hip music of teens today or perhaps teens 30 years ago, the bad parts of getting older, a reminder not to be a cool dad, an incomplete list of film sequels that surpassed their predecessor, and doing bong rips with Ken Marino.  If you missed us discussing the original film in this series, it's Episode 154- "The Babysitter." If you'd like to hear us talk about some horror comedy we loved, you could do worse than Episode 236- "House," Episode 293- "Happy Death Day," Episode 322- "Freaky," and one I just remembered that I absolutely adored: Episode 78- "Housebound." How old is Mick J? Oh, 53 years old?
Starting point is 00:00:36 This makes perfect sense. was because I thought you said they want a fax and I thought they were like sending prank faxes at this party just like copying their butts and faxing them. Sorry that's Modell-A-Ware accent. Yeah, you want a fax? What? You want a DASA fax? I am also I was lamenting the fact that people don't use supercalifragilistic exiolidotious and rhymes as much as they used to. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Yeah, it's just to show up in a lot of hip-hop songs. This is a great soundtrack. Oh yeah. And that's where it ends.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Oh, oh. Oh, ha! Early reviews are in. Yeah. Ah, who boy. Okay, so this is Babysitter 2, Killer Queen. Killer Queen, great song. Obviously. Great soundtrack. Yeah. I don't remember much.
Starting point is 00:01:32 This is gonna surprise you. I don't remember much of the first movie. Such your mouth. Except that it was fun. Yeah. It was sort of like, there were these sort of big, likeable characters who were troops of horror movie people. But they were the bad guys.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Yeah. And that was it. That's all I remember. I remember really liking Samara Weaving. I think she's great. I think she's great. She's also in that movie, their movie, and teds. She's also in that new Bill and Ted's movie. Is she?
Starting point is 00:02:05 Bill and Ted's? As one of their daughters? Really? Yeah. Oh wow. And she, yeah, it's very funny. Yeah, it's very funny. Noth.
Starting point is 00:02:14 theymea today. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. liked the first one. Yeah, so when this started I was like, oh this will probably be similar. Yeah. Yeah. It gives you your Ken Marino right out of the gate. I forgot Ken Marino was in the first one. You know I love Ken Marino. Sure. He's so good. Yeah. He's so fucking funny. I think the same thing about Leslie Bibb. Yes. Also very fucking fun funny. Also her hair is thi. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi. thi. thi, to thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. G. toeeeea. she was like, look, you've got me for two hours?
Starting point is 00:02:46 Do what you need to do. I'm going to take off after that. I have another movie to do, maybe Talladega Nights 2 is going to come out. Ken Marino's like, I've got all day, put me in every scene, I don't care. What's your favorite Ken Marino? What's the thia? th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, the thi, thi, thi, the their, their, their, their, I'm thi, I'm th. I'm thooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I'm their, thooooo. I'm too, I'm too pretty great. Yeah. Yeah. How about you? The web series Burning Love, where he plays a fireman named Mark, and he's real stupid. And he says things like, I'm a human bean. He's in that movie Bad Milo, where he has like a demon living in his butt.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Yes, yes, I did not see it, but I remember seeing of it. Yes. Sam's. I do like that this movie starts off with, what does he say? It's like, high school is worse than a near-death experience. My first note? Same's same, yeah. Also, that kid's Wes Anderson S style is very good. You mean that three-piece corduroy suit he's wearing? Mm. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes, Sam, same, same, same, same, th, th, th, same, th, th, same, same, th, same, th, same, same, th, same, same, th, Sam, same, Sam, same, Sam, Sam, same, Sam, Sam, same, same, same, same, Sam, tham, thioms. thioms. thioms. thioms. tham, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, same. Yes. Yes. tham, same. tham, same. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thi-s, thaa, tha, tha, tha, thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, same, same, same, same, same, Sam, same, same, same, same, same, same, tha? Yes, tha, that kid's Wes Anderson S style is very good. You mean that three-piece corduroy suit he's wearing?
Starting point is 00:03:47 If I could pull that off, you know I would. Yeah, floppy hair. Yeah. Yeah, shouldn't have shaved your head. Could have that. He's got a tailer kitchness about him. that. He's a very like face structure. Yeah, I could see that.
Starting point is 00:04:05 He's a very handsome young man. So this, yeah, which is also makes it hard to believe that he's like deeply bullied. But, um, because good looking kids don't get picked on. Pick on the beautiful ones. This movie picks up like two years or three years after the, uh, two years after the first movie, and no one believes him. Yeah, which is weird. Especially his parents, because don't they wonder what happened to be? Yeah. Like, they came home and she was gone. This movie sets up like stuff like that where you just have to be like, yeah, no one believes him.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Okay, move on. Horror movie Handwave. Yep, yep. And he mentions the guy, yeah, I lived through multiple near-death experiences. There was the guy with no shirt on for no reason. There's some very funny lines in this. Yeah, for sure. And the guy with no shirt on is a very good character. He's great. I love him. I also love John. I also love John. I thold also also also also also love tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I th. I th. I th tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. I tho. tho. I tho. tho. tho. tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. I tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th has some really good lines too.
Starting point is 00:05:05 But again, I was like, who is this movie? This movie is for my age bracket, much more than it is for like 19 year olds. It's weird, like the cultural references in it. I got almost all of them, which I thought, am I supposed to? Or is it for younger people? I don't? See, this is the weird thing about living in a in an internet world yeah because young people could possibly know all of these references
Starting point is 00:05:29 right Spotify could have suggested that you listen to Doss Effects and Young MC. We're also knowing that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott broke up. Which was like the only current reference in this movie was it? And the Jordan Peel reference. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's like the two things that are like, oh yeah, this this is in 2020. Right. And then it also references like Boris Gump. Yeah. And you're like, but the taurace? Yeah. And when are you from? Yeah. And you're like, the ta. And when we get John's flashback. to. they. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th.. Such a jam. I bet it's too long now that I'm thinking about it. I bet it goes on for two, for sure. Oh for sure. For sure.
Starting point is 00:06:10 And then there's this guidance counselor. Oh, I love him. Why, though? Like, what is his deal? We need to get you laid. We need to get to get to get to get to get to get to get to get to get to get to get to get me me me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me to get me late. to get me to get me late. to get me to get me. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to get to get to get me me. to get me me. to get me me me me. to get me me. to get me. to get me. to get me. to get me. to get me to to to to to to to me. mea mea mea mea mea mea late. to mea to me late. to to to me late. to to to to to to to to to to to to to othucket mouth. Yeah, he's also the school nurse. It's just... It's very confusing. He's just a strange man. I kind of want a psychiatrist that just insults me the entire time.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I was like, I kind of want that. If you want to pay me a lot of money hourly to insult you, I'd be happy to. I'll take your insurance. What do you you you you you you you th you th for th for th for th for th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little th for a little thi thi thiole. thi thi thiole. I'll take your insurance. For a little bit of it, you know? Once you hit your deductible. Yeah, right. Ah.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Can't wait to charge you a co-pay. So we've met our main character, who is coal. Coal. So we've met our main character who is Cole. Cole. And I know you were thinking of Cole from Days of Thunder the entire time. Cole trickle. Melanie, who was also his friend, his best friend from the first movie. No memory of her in the first movie. Yeah, they went and hid in her house for a while from B. Okay. So we're to understand that she knew all of this was true but never like backed him up. Right. Which we understand why. Right. Her whole thing is just like you need to move on. Yeah. Until we get the
Starting point is 00:07:29 switcheroo or the old flippity flap. The old flippity flap. And we meet Phoebe who is the person we all want to be in any movie. Right. Walks in a room and salts an entire class of people and screams. Yeah, played by Jenna Ortega, who I like. She voices a character on a show that my child watches. Okay. Elena of Avalor. On Disney Plus. Elena of Avalor. Of Avilor.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Of avalor. And she was in the second season of you on Netflix. Of me? You. Yes, Laurathe second season of you on Netflix? Of me? You. Yes, Laura Ingram, of you. Thank you. Thank you for getting that reference. See, these references are for us.
Starting point is 00:08:10 We know Laura Inghern. We're like doing a Fox News reference right now. Which was a terrible show, but I watched like the first couple episodes, and she was the only bright spot in, the tree, thi........ And, th. And, th. And, th. tha, tha, tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. And, tha. And, tha,, real quick, digression, I've been watching this Apple Plus TV show called C-S-E-E-E, which is about a far-flung future where everyone was blinded by a plague. What? And they're living in this future Neolithic society where they all have to have huge battle scenes, but they're blind. So are they like just clumsying around or are they really good at it because they've adapted? And Jason Mamoua. Why does it matter that they're blind then? Jason Mamoas in it? Jason Mamoas in it. Is there anything Jason Mamoa is not in? And I'm here for it. Sure! But I just like that they're like he's a this, he's a that, he's in everything. He's in he's in he's in everything. He's in everything. He's cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot cannot. I don't know who that is.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Oh, she's a actress who is surprising that she's in this dumb-ass TV show. Like she's too good for this? Oh, for sure. But the thing is, like, it's of that level of stupid that I'm like, yeah, I'm on board with just rolling around in the stupid, huh? Jason Mammau. Knott, th. th, th, th, th, th th. th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi's thi's thi's thi's th thi's th thi's thi's thi's thi's just just thi's thi's like, thi's like, thi's like, thi's like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I thi's thi's thi's like, thi's like, thi's like, thi's like, thi's like, thi's like, thi's thi. Like, thi's thi's thi's thi's thi. Like, thi's thi. Like, thi's thi. Like, thi. Like, like, like, like, like Mamo, keep fighting people with your eyes closed. Let's do this. Oh, wait, they close their eyes. No, the monkeys are Apple. Okay. So we're in high school. Yeah. And they're talking about Faust. And that brings me to a point I want to make, a little meta point about the show here. I'd like to read th this this this this th this this th. this th. th. th. this th. thu this thu thus this thus thus this. thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. this is to thoomomomomo- just just just just tho- just just just just just tho- just just just just tho- just just just just th. their their their their their their their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to to to to to to thin. to to tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Okay. Okay. Okay'd like to read a quick review of our podcast that we received. Is that okay? Yeah, please. This is from Apple Podcasts. I
Starting point is 00:09:49 discovered this pod because they made fun of me and that rules. Five stars. I actually discovered the podcast because I was in one of the movies they watched and reviewed and was genuinely thrilled to get roasted. I now listen to every episode. I'm a huge horror fan and comedy fan and this is th. And th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm a th. I'm a th. I'm a th. I'm a th. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a huge horror fan and comedy fan and this is a great show. Thanks. So I searched this person's username and came to realize that it was the guy you played Mephastophilies in Hellhouse 3 LLC. Who know? Which ties into this week's episode as they discussed Mephistophilies and Faust. And so when I realized that I went back and listened to that episode. Oh no. Yeah, because I was just like, well what did I say? Because you know it had to have been me. And it was. Okay. And I was like, this guy walks like a duck. Which is like, imagine hearing that about yourself. And so I want to say Jordan. I'm sorry I said you walk like a duck, but you do. That's it. And thanks for listening. to that you that you to that you to to that you. I to to to that you. I I I to to to to to to to to to to that you. I that you. I that you. I that you. I that you. Starting point is 00:10:51 Thank you, Jordan. Thank you, Jordan. And also, did you understand what that play was supposed to be about in Hell thals 3 LLC? Because if so, let us know. Somebody recently asked this on Twitter whether or not I liked SCA or just like all the pun names. It's a little calmer, a little combing. Yeah. But I really do like SCA. I was listening to SCA when Katie showed up at the house today. Yes, you are.
Starting point is 00:11:15 Then you said, Google, stop playing SCA. Put it down. Anyway, thanks Jordan. Yes, that's very, that's very, I appreciate it that like people understand that anything we say isn't meant with malice. Yeah. Well, to be fair, I was much meaner to his co-workers in that movie. Because I was listening and I'm like talking about one of the other actors and being like, has no place being in a movie and I just thought, Jesus Christ, what is wrong with me?
Starting point is 00:11:46 Anyway, very funny. Oh, fuck, come on. No, bitch. I'm a lover of a child. No, really? Wow. I'm a soon, I'm soon. That's very in tune with this movie. Because I feel I associated the song, black velvet with that song as well. Why? Of an era, of an era, for sure.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Wasn't Black Velvet much earlier than that? Oh, I don't know. I thought they were on the same time. Maybe. I love Black Velvet, though. What a hot bass line. Oh, well, you're gonna enjoy the musical catalog of George Thurow. That's actually a great point. Eric Blues are on bass line. I like it! Oh, well, you're going to enjoy the musical catalog of George Thurow.
Starting point is 00:12:28 That's actually a great point. I hate George Thurgood. I want a teeny cat tattoo. What? Delaware's Own. I know the Delaware Destroyers. I'm going to get a teeny tiny cat tato. On your arm? On your kitty cat? Yeah.. I I thk. I thk. thiii. I thi. I that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. Starting point is 00:12:45 That's how all my tattoos look. We meet the Melanie's boyfriend whose name I do not remember. Did not bother to write down. Because oh it's Jimmy because he calls himself DJ Jimmy Jammie. DJ Jimmy jammy, that's right. That's when I came up with a new, um, a new name for myself, which is gonna be MC Hammer Girls. I'm sure it's been done, but I love it. You popped into my head and I thought, you're a fucking brain genius.

Phoebe has poor impulse control. Sure, sure. Well, she's had a lot of trauma in her life. What with killing her parents and stuff? Wait, I miss that. Oh, right, yeah, at the end.
Starting point is 00:13:37 It's her whole story arc. Yeah, like, okay. This movie... There's not much to it. Yeah, like, okay, this movie, there's not much to it. Sure. But, and it's also taking these sort of like Tarantino-esque. Yeah. It feels like Tarantino for kids.
Starting point is 00:13:55 To me, it felt like a Tarantino, if Tarantino directed Scott Pilgrim. I never saw Scott Pilgrim, but. Scott Pilgrim is, um, what theim. Okay, Scott Pilgrim is, what the fuck? Michael Sierra has to fight all the exes of this woman that he's interested in. Oh I like that concept. Yeah, yeah, and they're all like, and it's all like street fighter fights. Yeah. So this felt like, you know, because they're calling like boss to boss in this, and it kind of felt like the same thing. Yeah, but, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the f. F. F. F. F. F. F. S. F. F. F. S. F. F. S. F. F. F. F. S. F. the, the, the, to boss to boss in this and it kind of felt like the same thing. Yeah, but there's all these like title cards that come up and the way the flashbacks, it's like it feels like Mick G saw Kill Bill for the first time last year and was like, oh, this is a good movie, you know?
Starting point is 00:14:33 I'm surprised to learn that he's 53 years old. Yeah. It felt what a younger person to put Duss effects in the soundtrack? No. No. Or they would have asked their dad. Oh, they want effects. They want the live effects. They were live effects. Bump. Skiddy, bump, skid, bump. It's a great jam. It's a great jam. It's a great jam. It's like, they were like, the video. They're like, I'm the the video like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, their. their. the their. their. their. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their. Oh, their. Oh, their. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the, the. they. the. the. Oh, the. Oh, the. the. the video, they're like in the sewers, like their teenage dream Ninja Turtles rapping this ridiculous song. It's really great. I've never seen the video for that. I'm going to watch it on YouTube later.
Starting point is 00:15:11 So Leslie Bib and Ken Marino are the parents. Yeah. They have left out a pamphlet saying like for a psychiatric high school. Yeah. With a big post it on it that says to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, th, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, I, I, I, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, th.. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm their, I'm their, I love that it didn't have a name. It just says psychiatric high school and I was like, that's really funny. With a big post it on it that says, tomorrow at 1 p.m. or something that's like just on the front table of their home. So I have to wonder if in the reveal of this, because his lit paper is on top of that pamphlet she has set up everything else in this movie. Does she set up everything?
Starting point is 00:15:48 Well, she sets up the interactions between him and Phoebe. Okay. By like encouraging them to meet up because she thinks they'll be perfect for each other. Which is weird. I was your babysitter. Yeah. I love that life goal on a life trajectory of babysitter to matchmaker. Yeah, just like setting up your charges to fuck. I did like to see
Starting point is 00:16:16 where Ken Marino walks in and he thinks that his son is having computer sex with his friend. Yeah. And he's like cool with it. He's like, lotion's also used to masturbate. And you're like, Ken Marino. Then he offers him a different lotion. Ken Marino. He's funny. He's such a goof. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's always funny that he has also ripped. Yeah, because it doesn't make a big deal of being ripped. He just is. No, he doesn't. Like, facially, you would not be like, oh, that guy's ripped. He's a computer programmer head. Exactly. He's like, uh, did you watch the good place?
Starting point is 00:16:50 No. Oh, okay. Well, not, I was going to, and then I cameakes his shirt off and he's fucking jacked and it's like... He just thinks really hard while he's doing presses. In order to avoid going to the psychiatric academy... See it's funny. It's funny. Melanie's like, hey you should come to the lake with us. I took my dad's car. Which in the last movie you drove into your house to kill your babysitter. Yeah. Her dad is Juan. Wan. Wan. Wan. Should I know that actor? He does look familiar doesn't he? I don't know him.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Missy said he was on, he's in the movie The Duff, which is also produced by Mick G. He had someone involved in that. Yeah I don't know if you should know. But he does look familiar for sure. he, he has also the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. W. W. W. W. W. W. W. th. W. W. W. W. Wan. Wan. Wan. Wan. Wan. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if you should know, but he does look familiar for sure. He has the kid from the Sixth Sense all grown-up vibe to him. Baby Haley Joel Osmond? Yeah. But have you seen Haley Joel, Osmond recently? I mean I saw him in Tusk. Sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Tusk, I cannot stop it. You loved that movie. That wasn't one of the worst movies we've ever done. I still see people lauding that as this like cinematic brilliance.
Starting point is 00:18:16 What? And I'm just like, man, I'm glad there's chocolate and vanilla, and poop. Some people like fruit-flavored candies. Some people like like to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the th I th I th I th I th, I th, I can th, I can th, I can thus, I can't thus, I can't thus, I can't thus, I can their thus, I can't thus thus thus their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. Some people like to eat poop. Some people like fruit-flavored candy, some people like chocolates and some people like to just lick a big old turn. Speaking of, did anyone send us their address for me to get them a tutsi roll? Not yet. God damn it people! I'm saving them. I could be eating them. They're getting like less chewy tuey roll. They're getting tutzy rolled-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-a-a-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-so-so-i-i-i-so-so-so-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-s. thi. th-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th-s. th-s. th-s. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s. toddi-s. to-s. to-s. to-s. toddi-s. to-si-si-si-siiiiiiiiiii-s. toddi-s. toda-s. thi-s just totsy rolling. They're the twinkies of a faux chocolate candy. They're chocolate. Mish. Wax. Chocolate-esque. But Melanie says to Cole, she says Red Pill, Blue Pill
Starting point is 00:18:54 Time and it's like, oh this child likes the Matrix? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And they love Terminator too. Yeah. I feel like this movie was directly aimed at our podcast. Interesting. Does Mick Chi, you out there? Leave us a review? I'll send you a Tziozo. I started listening to this after they shitted me. After they liked my first movie and then, it's all over the second. We'll have to do with Charlie's Angels at some point. I can't. I they they th they they th they they th they th th th they they th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th that that thate. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't have time.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Yeah, she says Red Pill, Blue Pill, he takes the Red Bill. Yep, and goes to the lake. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I did like the scene where she's like, everybody in high school is on something. And then everyone has these little medical tags next to them. Yeah, I'm the one kid is just th th th thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' thin' the the one kid, and the one kid, and the one kid thi and thi' the one the one the one thi' the one' the one' the one' the one' the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one the one thi. Yeah, he's just walking down the hallway. Should have been running. Oh, yeah. Oh, my notes make no sense. Please hit me with something.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Oh, shit, boom boom boom. Boom boom was one of the friends. Oh, they killed boom boom boom. So we go to the lake, which I guess is Lake Havasu. It looks like Lake Havasu in, I think that's in Texas. What, how do you know that? It's like a big, uh, oh, oh, oh, fuck, what was it?
Starting point is 00:20:10 MTV Spring Break used to go there. Really? I don't remember that at all. Yeah. And maybe where Limp Biscuit blew up the boat. Interesting. The question I have about this lake, is it warm or cold there? Because there's people wearing bikinis and also coats. Yes. Okay. How did you feel about all the boom boxes in this movie? That aren't Bluetooth current day boot. There were just like old school tape boom boxes.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Well, it's like with that scene where he's talking about the tape, it's like this could be the last time you're listening to it. It's so fragile. It's like so precious and I was like fuck off. Mick J. Seriously. MP3's also degraded Mick J. I have I just have a weird, I just have a hard time with like cassette nostalgia and I don't know why because they were inconvenient and like sure. Sure. It wasn't great. The sound was bad. Yeah. And they did get fucked up all the time. And like, I think with CDs. Yeah. Yeah. I used to call it the auto skip feature.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Or auto pause, excuse me, auto pause, when it would just pause. Oh, man. See, I don't even remember my CD jokes anymore, except for CD's nuts. Good one. I just don't have a lot of like loving nostalgia for medium that has passed and was not good. No, I feel the same way like about VHS stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:38 There's part of me that Mrs. going to a video store. Absolutely. But even then I was getting DVDs most of the time. Yeah. But like yeah. No, I don't have that. And not up to reenact the satanic ritual to become influencers and get everything they've ever wanted. God help me if my child wants to be an influencer. Like, what am I going to do?
Starting point is 00:22:17 The most like 53-year-old thing, oh, she probably wants to be an influencer. Like a woman couldn't have any possible hire goal. Honestly, I don't think he's that far off. My friend who has a nine-year-old daughter was telling me how impressed she was that her dad knew a woman who was on YouTube, meaning me and you doing our old YouTube videos that nobody ever watched.
Starting point is 00:22:44 And his daughter was like, you know her? Like, what? Does that mean you're an influencer now? Oh my god, what would I influence? Finally, nine-year-olds. You're not. What would I influence them to do? Oh, let's see.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Heave puker. Heavy farter. Just like, be comfortable with your things your body does. Yeah, going, fucking full ham at karaoke. Yeah, yeah. Puking, farting, going ham and karaoke. Yeah, okay. Great thanks, being hilarious.
Starting point is 00:23:18 No, don't do that. Gets in trouble sometimes. That, I am very brave. Yeah, yeah. All right. I tell you that all the time. I'm an influencer. Before the satanic ritual goes down, we get two minutes in heaven rather than your standard seven. I don't know why it's cut down to two.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Did they explain that? I assume Melanie just didn't want to do it for that long. Got it. Where Cole and Melanie make out and she feels his elbows and goes, oh they are really soft. Oh right, yeah. Which was funny. Yeah, there's some funny jokes in here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He does say I have a penis at one point and I don't remember why. Because Jimmy Jammie, DJ Jimmy jammy said that he's not worried about Cole going in there because he probably doesn't even have a penis. And he's like, I do have a penis. And then she says, is that tilly string in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? And he says, no, it's my big old hog. Big old fucking dong.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Because he was convinced to buy condoms from the woman in the leather bikini working at the... Right. Those will very funny as well. So Melanie has turned. Yes. Melanie is the one running this ritual. Yes. Yeah, and then the four previous movie Bad Guys show back up. Yeah, shirtless Guy. Shirtless Guy, Sonia, the cheerleader, who is Allison, Allison, played by Bella Thorne, who apparently people know who she is, and I had no idea who she was besides being in this movie. Who is she? She's in like some teen movies and stuff.
Starting point is 00:24:56 My brother-in-law was like, I don't normally like Bella Thorne and I was like, where have you seen Bellethor? What is your brother-in-law watching? Teen Rompps, apparently. I think Sonia is my favorite of the four old bad guys, because she makes a point to go and get cookies as soon as she's brought back from the team. Yeah. But she also feels like a very Quentin Tarantino character.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Oh, for sure. You know what I mean? Not the man who fetishizes Asian? Yeah. And then has her do th her th her th her okay. But she does have some of the best lines in this movie. Yeah. Yeah, when she says, uh, what did she say, die rapist when she lights that one guy on fire? Oh, yes, she does.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Who was in Halloween kills? Was he? He's one of. Oh. Yeah. Yeah, the guy in his underpants for the whole movie. Oh yeah. Okay. How do you feel about hearing Young MC in this movie? Fine. Yeah. I'll like to hear Young Emce anywhere.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Have you ever heard another Young MC song? Have you? Yeah, for sure. I'm pretty sure I had that teeep. Oh, I'm so nostalgic. So the bad guys from the first movie show back up. They have some great entrance lines, like you look like you just seen a beautiful black ghost. Yeah. And then he does the hammer dance and I was like, really hammer dance? He's just such a stereotype. Yeah. But he's just such a stereotype, like, he's like, like, the ha. the h. the h. the h. the h. the h. the h. the h. the h. the h. the h. the. the h. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I. I. I'm. I. the. the. the. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I............................................................ th.. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. Yeah. But he particularly feels like such a stereotype to me. But I like to do in the hammer dance, he's like run between my legs. Nope, can't drop it. And then it starts like twoerking. Very funny. Yeah. And so then a chase happens. Feebysh-skis running out of gas. Which has also been set up by B. We see later. It's like, what?
Starting point is 00:26:47 Would you just show up at someone's house and ask for gas? And would you like, how did B know she was going to steal that jet ski? Someone was waiting there to give it to her. Yeah. Like I was just holding the jet ski while it was just holding the jet ski while it was running and you jumped on it drove away. That's poor impulse control. I was just like, man, why can't there just be that in my life? Like I just walk in somewhere and someone's holding a sandwich. Let's do this dog, I got you a sandwich. Grab and go. So they they get away on her jet ski, they encounter the rapist because she runs away. It's a joke. It's a joke about deliverance. It's like it's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke. It's a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about a joke about deliverance. And I was like, who the fuck, who's a teen in 2020, has seen deliverance? For sure.
Starting point is 00:27:27 I love that. And it's like, because she's like, my favorite movie is Deliverance. Yeah. In the first act, and so in the second act, we get him playing a banjo in the middle of nowhere. Playing the song. Oh, dueling banjo song? I hate that burns the rapist to death. Yeah. And then she gets decapitated with a surfboard while every 19-year-old's favorite song by Procolharum is playing. Who doesn't love Prague Yodal Rock. Who does, really? We get a CGI snake going up Cole's pants while he's hiding underneath the car that he's wrecked.
Starting point is 00:28:35 That's gross. I don't like snakes. He grabs its head and just like keeps it from biting him. Are rattlesnakes aggressive like that? Oh, fuck them. Yeah. Why are they monsters? They feel threatened, for sure. They crawl up yournake's aggressive like that? Yeah. Oh, fuck them. Yeah. Why are they monsters? I mean, if they feel threatened for sure. They crawl up your pantleg and then feel threatened, sir? Sir? Sir? They're crawling up your pantleg because they're reptiles and they're looking for whatever's warm. But then if you menace them. Menace them by not letting them bite you? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah them them them them them them them them them them them them them the the their their their their th th their th th th th th th th th let th let th let the the the the th th they they're the the they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they the the the the the threaten threaten theateateateateateat theateateateateateate. to do bong rips with Ken Marino. Really do. I like the idea of you're not really smoking pot if somebody else is holding the
Starting point is 00:29:12 bong and pulling the thing out for you. Did you do pot? Yeah, you're right that like half of her lines are done over the phone. Yeah. That's funny. That's funny though. So then they're being menaced and chased by the different people and they're killing them off one by one. Yeah. I liked when they ripped off Allison's head. Yes. I thought all of the effects were very fun. Yeah. A lot of fun. All the deaths were good. I like that shirtless guy cuts her leg off and then Cole attacks him with the leg.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Yes. And then stabs him with a shoe. The shirtless guy's so funny. And the whole time he's just like, and he did this in the first movie too, he was like weirdly supportive of cold? Yeah, at the end when he's just like, I'm not even bad about his own death. It's like, all right. What he's walking up to him on the pier a the pier the pier the pier the pier the pier the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thigh. thigh. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. thirt. te. thirt. te. thirt. te. Sirt. Sirt. Sirt. Sirt. Sirt. Sirt. Sirt. Sirt. Sout. S alright. All right. And the whole, what he's walking up to him on the pier when they're escaping in the Jenny boat, and he's just like, is it weird, I've missed you? Yeah, yeah. The Jenny boat. You put an 8675339 reference.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Like what? Huh? And Apache? Oh, man, that song slaps. I hate the Apache scene. Really? I like that it replaces the sex scene, though. I think that's really funny.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Yeah, I guess so. It's just them in terrible disco clothing, dancing to Apache, while hot dogs are going to round buns, trains are going into tunnels, rockets are being shot off, people are being fired out of cannons. Yeah, I kind of hate it. I mean, it's just, I don't know. I'm already in a bad mood at this point in the movie, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:30:53 I'm having trouble following it. I don't understand why any Missy wanted to see it as well because she also liked the first one and so I got to watch it without taking notes so I could just pay attention to it I was like oh it's a sexy. Because this movie is so like there's so much random shit in this. Yeah there's all these like just like title cards and cutscenes and flashbacks. When they realize that Tommy Tune is the thing to show them the code for the boat, they show like a minute of the Jenny video. A whole minute of the video. Why would those children know that song? Because it's great. Okay, are you 19 years old in the year 2020? Were you born the same year
Starting point is 00:31:42 that I graduated high school? Do you know the song Jenny by Tommy Tudor? Yes, my parents put me into a box with a first generation iPod that was just loaded up with songs from that era and before. Nice. Yeah, so I'm all cut up to date out that. You think Phoebe was paying the utilities on that cabin? Because her little fairy lights are still on. It's so weird. How did she manage to build such a beautiful little castle for herself? I don't know. Those sandstone walls were gorgeous now.
Starting point is 00:32:14 And why was she in Juvie? She didn't kill her parents. Yeah, but she had been a ruffian, I think, you know, and that in the time between. Yeah. Okay so they're in her cat. Yeah they have the Apache scene, the sex scene in her basement of her cabin. And this is both Dead Kennedy's being on the soundtrack as well when police truck is being played while they're in a boat chase. Yeah, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Yeah. So yeah they're in their and they start making out and they get the Apache scene and then we get their cat and they start making out and then we get the Apache scene and then Ken Marino shows up because Melanie has a sat phone and called him. Right, right. She's pretending that Cole has lost his mind and that they need to come pick him up.
Starting point is 00:32:55 And her dad says to her for some reason I'm taking your IUD which I thought was a fucked up thing to say to a teenage girl. I think it was like his whole thing was he's a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. they's they's the their th. Yeah. He got her an IUD and like he doesn't care that she cut school on Thursdays and Fridays because she's DTF and delinquent Thursdays or whatever it was. And yeah. Get your teens in IUD. That's okay. You don't have to be a cool dad to do it. Just do it. Yeah. Yeah, don't be a cool dad. It's fine. Just be a regular ass dad. No. I often think of that scene from Mean Girls of Amy Polar being like, I'm not a regular mom. I'm like a cool mom. And I just desperately don't want to be that mom. I mean, I figure in in 2021 you're just sending yourself up to be a new story on the local news. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the to the the the to the to be. Totally. We forgot to mention when they get to the cabin, Cole's got to pee real bad. He's doing a little kid pee dance and he pees in a vase and then for some reason
Starting point is 00:33:59 she taps him on the shoulder and he pisses in her face. Oh yeah. And she's cool with it? I don't understand anything that happens in that scene. Is that like, so this movie is just McGee making references, it's just like, I'm fine with this but it seems like, let's normalize water sports. Let's just normalize piss play. But it's not erotic. But evidently it is because they fuck but five minutes later. That's true. I guess it's maybe she realized that's her thing. I don't know. Like fine, but why would you tap him on the shoulder while he's peeing? Why? He has a strong stream. Well, he claimed to have a weak stream.
Starting point is 00:34:33 I know. And she screams weak stream my ass. Yeah. It's just dumb. It's just like one of the the things. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's one. It's the the the the the the th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's thu. Why. the. the. the in this movie that you're like, But why? But why? Yeah. Yeah. So then the, oh I did like with the, the cum shot cannon shooting scene is a Wilhelm scream. Yeah. That happens in that. I do love to find a Wellhum scream in the wild. Uh, she thinks she killed her parents.
Starting point is 00:35:04 Turns out it was B for some reason. Wait, so she was driving in the car with B. Her parents were driving in another car? Yes, because they went to get her bunny because she can't live without her bunny. And B hit her parents' car on purpose? So B was paying attention to her and telling her that she loved her? At the same time her parents were playing with the bunny and making cutesy faces at each other. So neither of their were paying attention on the road.
Starting point is 00:35:27 Right, they ran into each other. Yes, uh-huh. And B sold her soul to the devil to save Phoebe. Exactly. Fee B. Fee B. Does that mean something? Pirates Cove? Like how and when? And when did she change her clothes? Do like when John referred to her as white Pocahontas when she's wearing that like just like fringed vest in shorts?
Starting point is 00:35:57 So silly. And when she's like on the prow of the boat with one leg up, holding a lantern like she's fucking Washington crossing the Delaware? Sacrage away over here. You think Ken Marina is going to get killed? He doesn't. Thank God. Thank God. There's a long scene where he's like fueling up his electric car and he wakes up coal and then coal drives away with this car, goes back to Melanie because she's like it's in the Pirates Cove and I was like How do these kids know where everything is around here? I don't know? I don't know? I don't know but if I had a place in my town called Pirates Cove? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Is there a place in Pittsburgh called know what I'm talking about? I do. What I'll go find is there booty there? Okay, when you're driving across the 16th Street Bridge to the north side, look to the right, you'll see there's a boat that's just been stuck in the hillside, like in the banks for years and years and years. Okay. Yeah, you can climb on to it from the tra. Pirthe. Pirthe. Pirt. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. Pir. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the to to to to to to to to to to to to Okay. He seems to think it's his boat. I like when Melanie kills her father by hacking both of his arms off. Did you like that? Yeah. Did you like when it becomes a fighting game for a moment? Yeah, I thought you would enjoy that. You love Street Fighter.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Well, I think it's more Mortal Kombat. It just feels gimmicky to me. It's just a serious... Like, why all these gimmicks, though? You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. It feels like that thing of a sequel has to like ramp everything up from the first one.
Starting point is 00:37:37 There are a lot of references to sequels superseding their predecessors. I think they're talking about Terminator 2. Terminator 2? Which, as you know, I would have said the weekend at Bernies too was also, but... Then you saw it again. Then I saw it again. Man, that still breaks my heart. But do you feel that way about Ghostbusters too? Does it supersede? I know you love Ghostbusters too? Yeah, I mean Empire Strikes Back, obviously. Better than Star Wars. I've never seen that.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Are you being funny when you say that? No, no. I think it's legitimately better because it's like more world building. There's a lot more stuff going on. I mean the first one is garbage. Ooh, hot take! It's very boring. It is a very boring movie.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Look, not if you're six, it rules. I'm sure. I haven't been six for a long time, and even when I was six I really wasn't. Streetfighter fight, or sorry, mortal combat fight happens for no fucking reason. Yeah. And then we get the ritual, and Samara Weaving shows up. Young blonde woman with barrel curls. Which I was like, so Melody's hair is just a callback to Samara Weaving
Starting point is 00:38:51 in this entire movie. Yeah. Who shows up with the real hair and you're like oh that's her they have the hair. But it's also a redunculus wig. It's looks so bad. She looks so bad. She's such a beautiful woman. Why didn't they just get her a better wig? I don't know. Okay. Maybe she had that hair in the first movie and then they're like, oh no, you don't have that hair anymore. Yeah, just get her a better looking wig. They make super realistic ones. We blew all our budget on the mortal combat fight. They're fair. So they mix the blood togu. the blood the blood. the blood. the blood. the blood. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thoe. thoe. thooooom. thoom. thoom. thoombue. thoe. thooom. thooooooom. thoooom. thoom. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. the. tho. the blood together, they get Cole's blood. Yeah, but they need the blood of the innocent. Yes. But he's gotten, gotten railed. Been railing? Been railing?
Starting point is 00:39:31 Keep going. No, I don't know. I'm digging a hole. You'll get there eventually. He's done the Apache. He shot his little man out of the cat in. Ugh. So... Gross teen shit. They drink the blood, which is Boom Boom's blood and his blood. Right. Oh, we forgot to mention that the other two that Melanie had brought on explode when they
Starting point is 00:39:54 try to leave because the devil doesn't want them to get out of their bargain. Wait, say that again? When they're on the dock, Jimmy and then the Diego, they burst into brimstone. That's right. That was good. Yeah. And B watches as the other demon people drink the blood and then start to melt away and that's where we get shirtless guy saying, I'm not even mad.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Yeah, that was funny. Because he's excited that Cole has gone to the bone zone. They all realize that Cole is no longer a virgin at thi. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiole. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. the the th. th. the the the th. the th. They all realize that Cole is no longer a virgin at this point. Yeah. Yeah. But also, why are you fucking when you're so scared? I don't know. I guess teens are always ready to fuck. Yeah, they're always DTF. Yeah. Delinquent on Thursdays and Friday. Yes. So B does not drink the blood. Not yet. Well, not yet. And she's sort of like in flashback shows how she set the whole thing up. Yeah. Which is totally inexplicable. Much like the her recruitment scenes, which are at most 10 seconds long of her just showing up in those other demons lives and being like, you want to kill? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:01 He's working behind the counter and has a name tag on, it's very funny. That is that is that is that is that is that is that is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is that is very funny. That is very funny. That is very funny. That is that is very funny. That's a funny. the that that that is thi. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. theat. theat. theat. theat. theat. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. behind the counter and has a name tag on, but no shirt on, it's very funny. That is very funny. That guy's so fucking funny. And also when Allison is trying out to be a news anchor woman and she's like, I want to be like, Geraldo, look fuckable. You're the respect to like, hurl-fuckable. That starts ripping the Santa part and yelling, this flashback, is is, is, is, is, is, is, is, to, is, is, is, to, is, to, is, to, thii, thi, thi, thi, and I, thi, thi, and I, thi, so, so, so, and I's, so, so, so, is thi, thi, thi, is thi, is thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, so funny. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And, th. And, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is. And, is a. And, is a. And, is a. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi.. Yeah, but you're right, in this flashbacks, B just shows up and she's like, hi, and you're supposed to understand that then they become demons. Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:32 So B's like, realized she's playing matchmaker to get these two children to fuck. Yes, she gets these minors to fuck. And then drinks the blood to save them. Right. Which, which I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thinks, thinks, thinks, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. B. th. th. th. And, th. And, th. And, the. And, tha. And, tha. tha. tha. tha. thea. tha. thea. thea. thea. Bea. So, tha. And, th. Right. Which I don't know why she has to save them instead of just like not like... I guess because all the demons have to die. Okay fine. Yeah. So she does. And Ken Rino sees this happens now he believes his son. And this is where he's like, where have you been? It's like, why have you not been asking that all along? I guess the point is Ken Marino is so stupid? Yeah. It's like? the the point. Why? the point. Why? the point? the point? the point? the point. the point. the point. the point. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He's on the pot and we know that that makes you not smart. That's right. I mean, I'm the fucking idiot.
Starting point is 00:42:10 So Cole and Phoebe start making out. Yeah. And Ken Marino just stands there like, yeah, yeah, all right. Takes a picture. Yeah. Cut too. We're back at school. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. that. that. that. that. Yeah. Yeah. that. that. that. that. that. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That's. That. That. That. That. That. That. That. That. That. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah., all right. Takes a picture. Takes a picture. Yeah. Cut two, we're back at school. Right. And now we're not wearing the three-piece suit, just got the jacket with the collar flipped
Starting point is 00:42:34 up. Uh-huh. He's talking to the shrink, he says, you're my masterpiece, I have cured you. So weird. It's just this movie's trash. Katie. Did you stick or wear it around through the credits? Are you joking? What do you think I did? There's a post credit sequence. What happens in it? Showing the devil's book in the desert with sand blowing off of it so someone else can discover it. So there's going to be a third movie? Yeah. Okay, fine. I mean fine.
Starting point is 00:43:09 That's exactly what happened at the end of Fear Street too, huh? Yeah? The book's still there and someone's going to find it? Can these universes cross over? They are very similar. Yeah, but I think the unn't the references in Fear Street were more appropriate for the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, the th. Yeah, the th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, the th. Yeah, think the references in Fear Street were more appropriate for teens. Yeah. Yeah, I think so. Although maybe not. I mean it also took place in the 90s so maybe not that appropriate routine. It's weird to realize you're just a demographic that's being marketed too, you know? Oh sure. Like how REM is in car ads now and you're like oh you want me to buy a Subaru. Because that's for me, you know what th, th, th th, th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii's thi, thi, thi, thi, to buy a Subaru. Because that's for me, you know what I mean? Yeah. And also when you are like listening to classic rock you go, oh that's, that's Pearl Jam.
Starting point is 00:43:52 I remember when that record came out. Yeah, yeah, I had that on a cassette. God, I miss them. I just miss them. Cosettes are Pearl Jam because I actually really don't like either. Really? I don't like Pearl Jam. Not at all. Wow. The thing, what's good about Pearl Jam?
Starting point is 00:44:12 What's bad about Pearl Jam? Every word you think you know to a Pearl Jam song, you don't really know. With the Roel Red Cross. And it's just, he's just doing every dude's dude singing voice and it's just not for me It's fine. It's just of those grunge air bands of that era that's pearl jam is my lowest Sure, yeah, they're the most like dad rock out of all those bands for sure I think Eddie Vedder is probably a fine person. Yeah, Yeah, it seems funny as hell. No, I don't know. Good grief. Oh, a Portlandia sketch where someone, one of the characters was dating someone who had a tattoo of Eddie Vedder and they couldn't get over and then Eddie Vedder shows up in the episode and he has a tattoo of someone else that I can't remember it was like Toriamos or something.
Starting point is 00:44:55 It's very funny. That's funny. Yeah and I thought Eddie Vedder you're probably the dancing on the beach skits from Portland. Oh Oh the the the the the their. I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the on the Beach skits from Portland. Oh, I don't know if I recall those. Yeah, they're like Goths on the Beach and they're hanging out with dancing. Yeah, okay, no, I do remember that now, yeah. All right. Katie, Alan. Give me a rating on this goddamn movie. So, there are some good.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Sure. It's funny. It's fun. I think the gore is very good. I think the effects are great. I love Ken Marine. I think actually all of the acting is very, very good. I enjoyed everyone in this movie. But the movie itself is trash. It's just, I just didn't like it. I just kept being like, but why? It felt like it was trying real hard, I guess. And that is off-putting to me. Just be cool. Don't try to be cool. But to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be the to be to be to be the the the to be to be the the the the the the to be the to be the the the to be the the the the the th thi. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the acting. the the acting. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. to the. the the. Starting point is 00:45:52 Whoa, four and a half. Yeah. I was happy when it was over. I watched this movie twice. Yeah, I and a half. Wow. Yeah, I liked it. It's not as, contrary to what my brother-in-law said, it's not better than the first one. No, definitely not.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Because you know, like, the first one, like when the shit starts like happening, you're like, oh, what is this now? This has changed. Six years is a long time. It's true. There's a lot of difference between me me me me me me me me me me me me me. There's a lot. Yeah. Yeah. There's a lot. There's a lot of the difference. Yeah. Yeah. Starting point is 00:46:46 Why, Mick G. I mean, if you could get away with it, fuck it. Is he getting away with it? I guess so. Yeah, he's made a ton of movies. He's made multiple Charlie's Angels movies. Yeah, those were blockbuster hits. For sure, for sure. I've never made a... Cameron Diaz, Lucy Lou, and Drew Barrymore together?
Starting point is 00:47:08 Come on, that's box office gold. I've never made a box office hit. Yeah, what do you know? Nothing. I've never said I knew anything. That's the thing.
