I'm gonna have to be energetic if we're going to talk about the 2014 slasher thing. Zambivers. Zombievers. Are you saying, let me ask you, are you saying zombievers or zombievers? I'm hitting the beaver hard. Okay, gross. That's probably the funniest joke in this movie and it wasn't even in this movie. Zombivers. Here's my opening salvo at this film.

I'm hoping that the title was said directly after inhaling a bong rip. Oh, yeah. I mean I thought that was a given. Like maybe exhaling out the smoke and Zombieverse. But maybe it was more like, Zombaverse. You don't know. That's what I'm saying. That's for the British release. I see.

Zombaverse. The UK. Zombarverse. the Co. So this is a 2014anteau name. I don't know I'm saying shitty because I actually enjoyed shark-nato. I've never seen it. You know it's doing what it's doing. Yeah. Whereas this I don't think is doing what it's doing. I will admit the first couple minutes I was laughing. I found very humorous. The bill burr John Mayor? Yeah. America's. Yeah. So yeah the first the opening minutes I th. John th. John th. And the credit sequence was great too with all the animation. I thought that looked really nice. So it opens on Bill Burr and your body is a Wonderland singer, John Mayer, driving a medical waste truck, and they're just like saying just completely inane things. But it's funny, they're texting their thethen they're texting while driving, like you do, here in 2014. And they hit a deer. And hitting the deer causes them to lose their cargo, I guess. Yeah, one of the canister shoots off the back of the truck from the force of the collision. Into a lake. And it is gross. The deer death. the deer. th. th. the. the. the. the. throze. th. th. throze. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thii. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the. Was it pasta again? No, it was a big salad. It's bathing suit season here, here on where will family field. Speaking of, we forgot to

address Savini watch. Oh, Savini watch. Haven't seen them. Have you been to the pool? No. Okay. We'll have to rectify that and get a pool visit in soon. Yeah, look for Tom Savini's tan tain thighs. Yeah, so they hit this deer and there's all these entrails just dripping off the grill of the truck and it's super gross. And I was like, oh, I'm 100% on board for this movie. Yeah, I thought it was the same production company. So I wonder if there's a little, you know, crossover there. So then it cuts to three college-aged girls in a car, just being fucking monsters. Well, yeah, it starts with the one in the bathroom texting.

Oh, right. And crying. And then some guy does the best thing ever, walks the door knocks and says, got a shit? Yeah, well, that's what you're doing there, sir. That's what we're all doing there. That's why they make those. It's for us to shit. You usually don't announce it. Yeah, well, don't you? Got a shit.

Got a shit. Yeah, she's in a men's room. thu. It's still fairly innocuous. At this point, I'm on board. And then it just devolves into this like, it's really about the horror of the millennial generation, right? Like, that's what this movie is about? Or the horror of quickly writing a script and getting green-lit. I mean, I can't speak to that, but they're awful. They're terrible.

They're all monsters. And not in like a likable, I don't know. No, they're wholly unlikable. Wholly unlikable. Yeah, which again made it feel like cabin fever where there weren't any really likeable characters in that movie either. Wasn't the guy from Boy Meets World likable? I thought he was. I don't remember. It's been a while. Yeah, they're just yelling about texting so upsetting. I feel like, and maybe, I graduated from college 10 years ago.

There's such a gap between me and college student, like, I feel like my generation has gone from being like a kid to kids these days faster than any generation prior. Do you know what I mean? I do. I still haven't really hit that stride. I'm still like, oh, kids are crazy. You enjoy the shenanigans shenan shenan shenan shenan shenan shenan ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch the shenan the shenan the shenan the shenan picks. You enjoy the shenanigans of the millennial youth? I, I, no, I don't, but I try to. I feel like there should have been a warning before those dick picks though. I was not prepared for dick pick.

Well, you know, they don't give you a warning before they've pushed boobs into the camera, so. It's this movie. As do I. The girls are basically having, they were supposed to have a weekend at Mary's cousin's cabin without their boyfriends. Or no, with their boyfriends. Right. But the blonde girl, his name completely escapes me. Her boyfriend cheated on her. So now they are just going to the cabin without them and they're supposed to be having like a dude free weekend. Okay cool. I don't know.

They're being super mean to one another. Yeah everyone's a biotch. That type of mean girl behavior is exactly why you would never join a sorority in 2015 you know. Yeah it was it was it was a bummer but I was like maybe this is the way women talked to each other. I don't. I. I. So there's some boobs. They go swimming. I don't know. There's zombievers. There's zombievers, which are cool. I actually thought they were good. They're puppets. And they're kind of hilarious. Yeah.

And they move through the water like alligators, which I really like. And they're actually kind of adorable. So eventually the dude show up. Oh, right. Because the dude.. You know, the zombiebevers attack, and then they go out in the lake, and the zombiebeaver's attack, and zombie or zombie or zombie, so this one- It's actually a zombover. Zombover.

Okay, I'm just making sure. One of the dickhead boyfriends, the dickheadiest felt the guy swimming in a wool cap to be absolutely disgusting. Up until a certain point I found him to be the funniest part of this. Oh really? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He delivered the line. Why did the tell? Why did the beaver? He delivered the line. Why did the beaver cross the road? And I wanted to his foot chewed off by a zombiever, which I was pretty into. But yeah, you're right that there is a dog murder scene. So that's the only time that you see the zombievers are CGIed.

Oh, and they like close in on it. Yeah, I guess that's what you got to do. At the end of the movie the the movie the the the the the the the the movie movie movie movie movie movie movie the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the end of the movie, they had bloopers, bleepers, and practical jokes. Oh, I had to turn it off well before that. It came on and I was like, I don't want to see any more of you. Well, there was a kind of funny scene of the dog swimming with the zombie-beaver puppets, and they're just kind of floating and the dog and they're just kind of floating around the dog. the t girlfriend of the guy whose foot gets chewed off. And she is significantly more upset about the dog than his foot. Yeah. Well, he was a shitty boyfriend. Well, yeah.

And she obviously didn't respect him at all. Well, no one in this movie respects anyone, I guess. the moor the moral of the story. Not true. And the Tommy who kills the first Zambever with a baseball bet. He's like the football player guy. Yeah. OK, who is he in?

It follows? He's the dude who infects the main girl. Huh? Well, look at him have a little career. Yeah, little renaissance. I grow weary of him already. I will see myself out. No, no, he was fine. I actually thought the acting was fine. I thought that they were committed and doing it and...

And given practically nothing. Give it, yeah. They did what they could with what they had. Especially Mary also, I thought she was really doing what she could. It becomes one of those like stuck in a cabin surrounded on all sides by bad guys, how will you get out? Right. Which before they're surrounded on all sides, why are they not taking that guy to the hospital with the leg chewed off?

They were just, I don't know. They're like, put him on the couch, put a blanket over him. Guess what that is not going to do? Keep you alive. gets his foot cheered off. I liked that scene too because he just goes under the water and then comes up with his foot in his hand. Yeah, and also wearing a wool cap. It's just disgusting. It's disgusting. The smell of wet wool makes me want to throw up. But I was still on board with the movie at this point because it was just dumb. Were you? I was like, yeah, I'm ready. This is a dumb movie. I was in until there's the one scene, offhandedly earlier, Zoe mentions to. She's the mean one, the meanest of the mean ones. Buck, which is a wool head. Yeah. So later in the film and this is where I was I was Dunzo with the movie and he's about ready to dine and goes baby I'm sorry I didn't go I didn't eat your pussy more but it's real stinky down there. That was very late in the movie for you to have given up. Yeah but that was like I'm out I can't yeah. That's how teens talk right? I think so I think they're a tean't. T their. T their. T their. Yeah, it was fine. I just found them all so, I just hated them all so much. Like, one of the first not true. Oh right. Not tou-shay. So I don't know like they run around the zombie verse I guess chew a tree down that causes it to block the road which I actually thought was hilarious. I was pretty on on board for that and they chew another tree and have it fall on Tommy. Yeah, which is funny. Yeah, for sure. Although you don't see it fall on him, you just see him under the tree. I was like, well, effects are expensive, I guess. It's true. They blew their budget on the deer murder at the beginning ofthat happens where they're all popping up from holes

in the floor, which was okay. Eventually we come to realize that if you get bit by a zombie-beaver. Become a beaver person. You become a beaver person? A human beaver? Yeah. It's just not what I want, you know. Where bever? No, you don't change.

Yeah. Her transformation is pretty gross. She, her real teeth fall out, and then she gets these beaver teeth. Have you ever seen the Lumberto Bava film demons? You lost me at Lombardo. Nope. It reminded me of the scene.

It could, this movie could have done with more sienn't. scenes like that, more gross outs. Yeah, and less sitting around saying dumb things.

Saying not funny jokes. Yeah. I guess that's where I ran into a problem was like, shark nato is actually funny. OK. It's not funny because they're saying jokes. It's funny. It just wasn't funny.

It was really well delivered. Yeah. Very strange to see John Mayor doing something I care about. Well he was he was I don't know if he still but for a while he was trying his hand at stand-up comedy. Really? Yeah and a lot of stand-up comics were pissed because he would go up and just like wreck the room because he was terrible. Oh man. And John Mayor. And John Mayor. Wraign songs about J. I just, I mean it's shorter than like an episode of a lot of British crime shows. I felt like I could put it in, you know. Which are engaging? Yeah. True. I'll watch the fall any day over this. Yeah. Is it better than Zambavours? Oh yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Taking the nap during Zombavers was better than Zamburans. I did go back and re-woch what I took. watch it from the kitchen which doesn't face your TV. I had it on a little thing at the thing and the ding ding. I full disclosure did watch the first like 15 minutes of this at the gym on my cell phone. So maybe this is um.

Full disclosure we did not give this movie the respect it didn't deserve. I mean I didn't miss any. I watched the best scenes on my phone and still enjoyed them. Yeah. Yeah. It's got his 66 on Rotten Tomatoes. Jesus Christ. I would rather watch the happening again than this. I'm just looking at some reviews and basically they're calling it funny, smart, entertaining, a blast. Maybe there's a different cut of it out there? Is this not for us? They did what they could with the premise I think because it's not a very like they got a good portmanteau and then ran with it. And it ran out of gas.
