Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 371- Ready or Not (2019)

Episode Date: March 14, 2022

In this week's episode, we're discussing a movie about an eccentric family and using podcasting as free therapy for ourselves with the 2019 film "Ready or Not." Special topics for your consideration i...nclude: how cool smoking makes you look if you're beautiful (I'm sorry, but it DOES), feeling rational hatred, the absolute joy that is Mrs. McMurray (Melanie Scrofano), some British crime drama recommendations or perhaps anti-recommendations, and a tiki bar that warps your memory. Want more Samara Weaving? Check out Episodes 154 and 358, "The Babysitter" and "The Babysitter: Killer Queen" respectively. More Adam Brody? He's in Episode 107- "Jennifer's Body," Episode 228- "Scream 4," and Episode 98- "The Ring," in which he is credited as "Male Teen." Also, he works all the time, I'm an idiot. Starting point is 00:00:00 I too have an irrational hatred of the rich. Well, I don't think that's irrational at all. Why is that irrational? It's not. It's not. It's totally irrational. Eat the rich. I do remember my, uh, my therapist really dig it in when I was shit-talking rich people one day. And then I was like, oh, I know why. You're a rich person. You're a rich. thrich. thrich. thrich. th. th. th. th. th. I. I. I. I. I. I th. Well. I th. Well. Well. Well. I th. Well. Well. I th. I th. Well. I th. Well. Well. I don't th. Well. Well. Starting point is 00:00:45 and then I was like, oh I know why. You're a rich person, yeah. Like your therapist taking it personal though, you know, like oh you're going to take advice from me, a rich person? Give me my hourly rate. Yes. Hi, Katie. What are we talking about this week? How fucking cool smoking is
Starting point is 00:01:08 and how beautiful it makes you look? Do you think that's what makes tomorrow weaving beautiful? I think that makes every woman in this movie beautiful. Yeah. Annie McDowell. Holy smoking. Holy smoking, Groundhog Day. What's your favorite Annie McDowell? Groundhog Day or multiplicity? It can only be one or the other. I never seen multiplicity. Really? Wow we should really do that on our action movie podcast. I feel like that's more of a horror movie, right? It is kind of horrific. Yeah. But although for Michael Keatins, you're just like I love this so much. Oh is it just four? I thought it was like 34
Starting point is 00:01:45 No, for Michael Keatons each one gets a little bit worse than the one before it right. They're all like a Xerox copy of the last one Yeah, until there's one that's just stupid, but he's funny puts a piece of pizza on a wallet. That's funny? It's just fun. It's just fun to watch Michael Keat and to to Groundhog's Day with a close runner-up being ready or not from 2019. That's what we're talking about, in case you hadn't figured it out by looking at the title of the episode. Yeah, why do we ever have to tell you anything? You can just read it. Why don't you just pretend we're talking about the movie? Why are we even here? So so so so? So, so? thi. So, thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. to? Yeah. th. to? Yeah. to? Yeah. to? to? to? th. th. to. th. th. to. to to to thi. to to to to to to to to to to toeea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. thi. thi. thi. the movie. Why are you listening to us? Why are we even here? So I thought this was the last movie I'd seen in theaters before a pandemic.
Starting point is 00:02:27 It was not. It was Knives Out, which I can be forgiven for thinking was not the same movie. Confuse them in my head all the time. Yeah. It's a darkwood big house rich people. Uh-huh. Terrible rich people. Yeah. Also the fact for both both th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi thi thi. It was thi. It was th. It was th. It isn't Christopher Plummer playing like chess or something with that beautiful beautiful beautiful actress. Yes, his nurse. Yeah, so there's games involved in that as well? Exactly. Yeah. Anyway, this movie? Not knives out. Yeah, thi. th. the the the the the the the the the the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their their their their their their their their their their th. their th. their their their th. Anyway, this movie. Not Knives Out. Not Knives Out. First, from the jump, I loved the game design.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Like the game art, on the boxes as they scan during the credits. Absolutely. I love the whole concept of this being a family that's been built on games. Yeah. And so they're games and like all their traditions involve games. Like if the Warner Brothers had made a pact with Satan. Yeah, which is a great fucking concept. How good is that? Um, I think you're thinking of the Parker Brothers.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Oh, the Barger Brothers did make a pact. Yeah, I'm sorry. Thank you for catching my garbage brain. One of the directors of this, I think they're a pair. Oh, their radio silence is their name. I think they're buds. They're also directed the unseen by my eyes scream five or scrim.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Can we call it five cream? Five cream. Five cream. I have also not seen it, but certainly will. How can I see five cream? Is it only in the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. I. I theirs. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. the. the. the. the. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. tha. ta. tha. tha. the. the.a. the. the not seen it, but certainly will. How can I see five cream? Is it only in the theaters? I think so. Fuck off.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I just, it's like hard for me to go places now. I'm tired. I want to see the movie when I want to see it. Yeah. Like, I want to see it now. I want to see the new, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, the, uh, uh, the, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, the, the, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the. the the, the, the the the the the, the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the new Robert Pattinson Batman movie. How many fucking Batman do we need? Apparently 117 is the number we're going for. Am I wrong in thinking that there is a new Batman every year? Something of Batman nature.
Starting point is 00:04:38 No, not with like the Justice League movies. Is that Batman? Yeah, Batman's involved in that stuff. I'm sorry, I'm only calling him Batman now. It's my new affect. That was, well, speaking of, that was Ben Affleck as Batman. Batman. Batman.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Is that when he fought, Hunky, hunky, Henry Cavill. OK. Who won? Oh, I don't know. I don't go in for that that that that that that tho tho that tho tho th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. th. th. th. th. tho. th. tho. th. th. that was. that was. that was. that was. that was. that was, that was, that was. that was. I do love the Christopher Nolan Batman movies. Oh yeah. Yeah. Shot in Pittsburgh, come on. I know, I was there. Hines Award and all of that. Luke Ravenstall. If you want to hear us talk about that movie, you can subscribe to our Patreon. For sure. Yeah. How the hell do we get? Oh yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Who fucking knows? Oh, I was gonna say I wouldn't see the new Batman movie, but it's three hours long. That's a trio of hours put together. So I was like, oh, I will wait for that to be at home. Yes, you need to be able to get a snack. You need to be able to go to the bathroom. You to to to be able the to be able the bathroom. And not to be able to be able the bathroom. Yeah to be able to be able the bathroom. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. theat theat theat new. new. new. the. the. theat the. the. theat the. the. the the. to to the. to be able to get a snack, you need to be able to go to the bathroom, and not miss anything. Yeah, exactly. Three hours is too fucking long. There needs to be an intermission. Yeah, of like come back tomorrow and finish the movie. Yeah, yeah, take a nap. Yeah, smoking in your wedding dress. Smoking in someone else's house. She's so brazen. She's so brazen and her dress is so lovely. And she's so beautiful. And her hair piece is so bad. This woman cannot catch a break on a wig. No! I was just thinking about her being in the babysitter too and looking like a psychopath. She looked like she was wearing like just a fairer faucet wig.
Starting point is 00:06:22 It was terrible. And it was just the wrong color. It was like white blonde and it was like corn silk. It was just off. Yeah, this movie she has like this intense like. Wedding up to. Yeah, bunnage going on. Yeah, but the bun is clearly made out of not hair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Not haire. Not hair. Also, mind you. Yeah. But not hair. Trademark, not hair. Also, she's Australian. Yeah. Yeah. She's doing a good job being an American. I feel like we're always hard on Australians.
Starting point is 00:06:53 There's one point in this movie where she yells and it's like, no. She is the niece of Hugo Weaving, who you might remember as Elron from the Lord of the Rings movies. Is that the guy I was sure was Sting? I don't know. He's in the Matrix, he's the, he's Mr. Anderson in the Matrix. I'm pretty sure I thought that was Sting when I first saw Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Stings? Yeah, I thought that was sting.
Starting point is 00:07:21 I was like, weird that he's in this. I like cannot be taken anywhere, anyway. I love the scene you were just referring to of her smoking in her wedding dress. We also see that she has a tiny chili pepper tattooed on her hand. And is that she's spicy? She's not there being spicy. I think she's spicy. Yeah. Yeah, but she's talking with her future husband who's going to be married to her the next half hour And he's like, are you nervous?
Starting point is 00:07:48 And she just goes, or he's like, are you ready to do this? And she's just, fuck no. Yeah. And her delivery on it, it's so good. She's very funny in this. Yes. And you just root for her. And you just root for her. And you just root for her. And you just you, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, you just, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, are, are, are, are, are, are, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are to to to to th, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are to to to to to to to to to to th, are, are, are, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are th, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi, are thi,. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's so affable. Yeah, affable is a good word for her. She's just trying to get along with these weird rich people, trying to like, make it okay. The whole storyline of her having like, been an orphan and never had a real family.
Starting point is 00:08:18 And I was like, okay, you're laying on a little thick. A little thick and also because, like, this, this, this, this, this, this, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, this this this this this woman, this woman, this woman, this woman, this, this, this, this, th... th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thick. A little thick and also because like this woman certainly made friends. Like they would have friends in her wedding. I will not believe that this woman has zero friends. She's funny and she's real good looking. She'sthey're a loader. Oh we forgot to mention that at the beginning of the movie we see two kids are running around this giant house and there is a game being played of a man being hunted in the house. Right and a woman in a wedding dress crying and then looking like resigned I guess. Yeah to her fate or her partner's fate. Wow Aunt Helene. Might be my favorite character in the movie. I just love that scene where, what is Samar Weaving's character's name? Grace. Where Grace turns and looks behind her and Aunt Helene is just sitting in a chair glowering? She's so fucking good. When she's trying to fuck her husband. Yeah. I also, controversial opinion.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Yeah. I really like Adam Brody. Adam Brody, which one is the alcoholic brother. Oh, he's great. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He was in Scroform.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Isn't he an O.C. Alam? Yeah. He was in Jennifer's Body, which we've also done. A delightful movie that should get more love than it does. And he was he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he th th th th th th th. He was th. He was th. He was thoe. tho. tho. tho. tho. I tho. I was tho. I was tho. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thoooo. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. A delightful movie that should get more love than it does. And he was on this web series, I really liked called Burning Love, where the Bachelors end up. Yep, yep, yep, yep. So fucking good. Yeah, he is, he also has great comedic time.
Starting point is 00:09:55 I don't know why I don't see him in more things. I don't know, because apparently people don't. You thap because people people people people people people. thap people. tho. they. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. thi. thi. tho. tho. tho. tho. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the. the. the. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toe. to. toe. th. thea. the the the, because he's not in many, like as many things as you would expect, I guess. Maybe he's just living off that O.C. money. Maybe. He's like, welcome to O.C. Bitch. You love the O.C. I've only ever seen like half an episode of it.
Starting point is 00:10:14 You loved it, though. Just kiss. I love the pep talk that she gets from Andy McDowell. Andy McDowell. Which is, I remind me what that's all about. It's just like, uh, like, fuck them. Yeah. She's like, you're worried about all these people that are staring at you, but you know what? Fuck them. And she also looks cool smoking with her cool cigarette case. Yeah. He has a very tight ponytail. Very tight. Well as we were discussing off off off off off off off off off off a the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. thi. ta. to ta. to ta. ta. to ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. ta. tight ponytail. Very tight. Well, as we were discussing off camera, off the air, Alan loves a severe looking woman. He was talking about the woman from Traces, the Britbox original, but here we, you know. You all caught up on Traces?
Starting point is 00:10:57 I'm two episodes behind on Traces. Why am I watching Traces? Because, I was thinking about this in the other night, there's something wonderful about thia thia this, this about this the other night there's something wonderful about mediocrity. Just this like like just this like like a mediocre slice of pizza is somehow like comforting. Sure. Like you just did it you made a pizza thanks man. Yeah it's fine. You made this cop TV show, sort of. Sort of cop, sort of science, sort of romance? It's like a romantic cop show that also feels like it's educating you about forensic pathology.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Yes. So good. Like, I'm not, at the end of episodes, I'm like, I could probably diffuse a bomb. I know what I'm doing. I could probably took a part of body and put it back together. I could identify which hit came first to a skull but where the fracturing is. So fucking smart. Severe ladies. Can I tell you what other lady I love in this movie? Yes. Fucking Mrs. McMurray from litter, Kenny. I would watch that woman do anything. She is so funny to me.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Fucking funny. I'm talking about Melanie Scrafano. Fine Canadian actor. Emily Le Domas. What? I was trying to figure out if the name meant something. Le Domas. No, I don't think it's like Le Bail, L'l. the name meant something, Le Domos. No, I don't think it's like Le Bale, which is Belial all screwed up.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Oh, so it is. I was wondering why they both had Le Names. Yeah, I know, I guess they was just supposed to insinuate that they were. Lay rich? Because they were both like, they had shipped out together, they were out at sea together La, belial, a lobial, la bale. I see. Yeah. I like how you're like, something so obvious is that. And I'm like, yeah, something's so obvious. Come on, chipmates, come up, come up.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Yeah. Yeah. So we don't get much of the wedding. We just see like the eye dues and the kisses. And there's a bunch of people sitting on the bride side, but we never th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. the th. the the th. the th. the the the th. the th. th. the the thi. thi. the the thi. the the the tho, the the the the to thi. Yeah, tho-a, they, they, they, they, something, something, something, something, something, something, something, something, something, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, to the the to the the to thi. Yeah, the thi. Yeah, the thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi we just see like the eye dues and the kisses and there's a bunch of people sitting on the bride side but we never hear from them again yeah okay and I do love that Anne Helene just hanging on the fucking background while she's trying to take her husband's pants off she is so strange she has boundary issues is what we're told and like like Naruto hair she looks wild she's great.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Oh and at the beginning too when we saw the kids running around we saw these people wearing these like creepy masks. Yes. That we now see the grandchildren running around in. Right. And the grandchildren are the children of Mrs. McMurray and her husband. Fitch. Fitch. Fitch is great and terrible and you like just want them to fall into a hole at all times. One of my favorite lines from the movie is when they come in and Anne-Holene goes, brown-haired niece, you continue to exist. You can see why I love her.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah, I do. Alex informs Grace that they have to go meet with the family to play a game. At the stroke of midnight. At the stroke of midnight. It's a family tradition for every new member of the family. They have to do this. She's into it. Yeah, because she wants to impress these people. Right. So they go into the game room. Yeah. I have a room like this in my house too. I just like don't use it that much because it costs a lot of money to heat it. Like when she's like, all right. to the to go, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first, first to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go, to go to go to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the their the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to the music room and she's like music room a totally rational room to have in your house in your house we're also told that they own four professional sports teams which I like a lot because I was trying to imagine which ones are New Jersey devils oh I'm out of I'm out of out of the devil race is not a used toto be. Yeah. Mm-hmm. We'll take that.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Um, the Rockies, like Brimstone? Okay. Okay. You could have, um, the, oh, no, that's not gonna work. Hmm. Pirates are pretty evil. I mean, like, in terms of looting and plundering yes. Yeah the murder. Also in terms of not spending any money on payroll. We can't talk about baseball. I so appreciated the people on Twitter that were like can someone check on Katie? I was not okay and then they sorted it by the end of the day today. Oh did they? Yeah so baseball's gonna start. Oh that's great. So just like two weeks tho. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. th. th. th. tho. th. the th. the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. te. te. teat. teat. teets. teets. teats. tea. teats. te. te. te. te. te. te. te day today. Oh did they? Yeah so baseball is going to start April 13th. Oh that's grand. So just like two weeks later. Yeah, that's awesome. Congratulations. Thank you. I would have had a tough summer without baseball. Yeah. I would have just had to sit outside your window and go, and I'd go, ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! So there's this scene of picking the game, the game, the game, the game, the game, thia... And, thia. And, the game, th. So, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, they. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I. Yeah. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I'd. Yeah, I'd. Yeah, th. Yeah, I, th. Yeah, I, I'd. Yeah, th. Yeah, I'd. Yeah, I'd. Yeah, I'd. Yeah, I'd th. Yeah, I'd th. of picking the game, which even though you know what's going to happen, whether you've seen this movie before or not, you know what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Yes. Just by the cover art. Mm-hmm. But the game picking scene is super tense. Yeah, and fun. And fun. Fun and tense. Which is how I like all of my life to be. I've already got the the fun, the fun, the fun, the the the the the the the the tense, tense, tense, tense, te, te, te, te, to, to be, to, to, te, te, te, I, I'm, I'm, te, to be, te, tho, thi, te, te, te, te, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thin, tea.a. I'm, tea.a.a. I'm, tea.a. I'm, tea. I'm, tea. I'm te already got the tents. I just like to clench my teeth,
Starting point is 00:16:26 but I'm also like laughing? You ever wake up in the morning and think you might have broken one of your teeth from clenching your jaw too hard in the night? You mean the mornings where I have to lay flat on my back and let my jaw fall backwards? Because it's locked otherwise? Yeah, because I refuse my mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth mouth the the toe-upupupupupupupupupupupupupupe-oomomomomomom refuse to my mouth card, because I'm a child. That's a reason that we're good friends. Yeah, mouth problems. Well, and the incessant brain that makes you think about everything at all times. I want this box that you put a blank card into, and then it spits out what game you have to play. Yeah, it prints on it. It's magic. Or it's Mr. LeBale. I guess it was Mr. LeBale's box. Yeah. And it like spins in the center and like kind of a creepy way that no one activated it to do that, which I really liked. And the dad is like he had to figure out the secret of the box. And then he just like kind of pushes a little button and it starts to work. But like the dad has this whole like showmanship to what he's doing. He's really selenigent.
Starting point is 00:17:29 He's really terrible. Like imagine that guy being your father-in-law. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought you met as an act, because I think he's great in this role. Oh no, I think he's great. of this is that she chooses hide and seek selected. Yeah. And she's like, oh, funny, and leaves the room to go hide and then they hand out the weapons. Well, that's not exactly what happens though because everybody tenses up and is like,
Starting point is 00:17:57 uh, uh, huh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, and she's like, okay, see you guys. I don't know, I think I'd be more like, what? What? Her new husband has just like slumped and his heads down. He's like, no. I think I would ask more questions. Anyway, Anne Holine gets the hatch in, it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:18 She's great. And there's a really nice shot where they're all standing with their weapons like a wedding photo they're all like lined up in a line yeah yeah yeah there's so many shots like that that are like almost look like family paintings that are really cool so the family had they turn off all the cameras that are in the house right because they do it like they would have been done in grandfather's time which they later decided as stupid because it is and the the the the they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they the they the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th th th is th is th th is they they they they they they they th they th they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th th th th th the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they they they they they they put on the hide and seek song record. Spooky. Yeah, I think that's great. It's just like an old timey song. Let's go hide and seek. Hide and seek. Hide and seek. Let's go hide and seek. Along those lines. Along those lines.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Oh, are the hide and seek singers in here! Woo! I was listening to Ready or Not by the Fugees before I watched this movie and I was like, so good. Yeah, so good. Katie, it's such a good rendition of this the other day. Oh yeah, I'm sure. I'm the one who had to listen to it while editing and I thought it was great. Well, thanks. You have a beautiful voice. Oh, shut up. So she. th. th. th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, I was that that that that that that, I was that, I was that, I was that, I thought it was great. Well thanks. You have a beautiful voice. Oh shut up. So she hides in the dumb waiter. Yeah, dumb waiter. Yeah, which is not a place you want to hide because there's no exit. Just sand's all. Oh you mean you can't get out the other side.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yeah, well she doesn't know she thinks you just wait. Yeah, but even in a hide and seek. the thin thin th. She th. She th. She th. She th. She th. She th. She th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. S. S. Yeah. Yeah. the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. Yeah. Yeah. the th. Yeah. th. th. the th. th. th. th. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. the. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. you're like a closet-hider. As soon as I get hit, found, I'm like, all right, well, I'm gonna go play with my phone for a while. This was dumb. Oh, I forgot that you'd have to play hide and seek as an adult, being the parent of the child. I do it all the time. You know how many places there are to hide in my house? And we have no closets. I'm like I'm in the shower again. I'm hidden behind Rob's electronic trump set, I guess. I'm not letting her run around in the basement.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Um, I also really love the sister-in-law's gown, that like gold number, uh, Adam Brody's wife who is played by uh, Elise, oh, Levisque. Hmm, Levisky. Hmm, Levisk. Levisk? All these people are Canadian, aren't they? There's a lot of Canadians. Yeah, some, one Australian at least.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Got it. I just feel like I'm never going to go somewhere that I can wear a gown that rich. Why? Where would I go? Wedding? That's an up a gown that rich. Why? Where would I go? Wedding? That's a, that's an upstage of the bride. Yeah, exactly. Oh, wedding of someone I hate. Yes. Smart. And then later when Samar we even puts on a bandaleer, I was like, man, I'm never going to get to wear a rich gown or a bandaer. I'm actually surprised I don't have a band. I'm actually surprised you didn't literally pull it out from behind you and be like here if you want to wear this while we record that's fine it's a little bit heavy but okay.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Ah she looks so cool in the wedding gown on the bandaleer and the Chuck Taylor's. So cool. She's cool. So what happens to the nanny? So, Emily, aka the lady from letter Kenny? I love this. Cuck-it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's a thi, it's a thi, it's a thi, it's a thi, it's a, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi, it's thi. It's thi. It's a thi. It's a thi thi thi thi thi thi. It's a little thi. It's a thi, it's thi, the lady from Letter Kenny. I love this, cock sucking good time. Give me a G&T. I just love her. She's tooing a whole bunch of booger sugar, getting that toot up in there. Yeah, she loves the toot. She just fires her gun into the fucking face of one of the maids.
Starting point is 00:21:44 She's like, I got her, I got her! Oh fuck! And the family's just like, oh god damn it! And they're like, what are we going to do about this? All right, well put her out with the goats. Oh, well, so many gross pits in this podcast recently. Why were they sacrificing goats anyway? Like just in the middle time? Satanists. I guess, but like you've, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, th you, th you, th you, th you, th, th you, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, I thi, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th. Oh, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. the thi. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th anyway? Like just in the middle time? Satanists. I guess. But like you've, how often must one sacrifice a goat? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Okay. I've never Sataned myself. Nah, Satan's not for me. I'm just not a joiner. Yeah, no. Organized religion's not my scene. Yeah. Yeah. I just like, I'm like in harmony with the earth. Oh, Namaste.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Not very flexible though. So that's not great for me either. I, any kind of ritual makes me uncomfortable. Totally. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:35 So, I'm just, I'm no good for any of this stuff. No. I love that Fitch gets the crossbow, goes to the bathroom, and brings up a YouTube video of those guys telling them how to use a crossbow. Getting to know your crossbow. That's apparently the directors. The garage, oh those guys in the video, that's funny. I like, I sometimes don't like when directors put themselves in movies, but I like when it's just so bit like that. yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but that, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi, that's that's thi, thi, that's his face being a party guy? Talking about M? Talk about M Night? No, Eli Roth.
Starting point is 00:23:06 Eli Roth, yeah, yeah, yeah. Doctor of being a dog. So the new husband comes to find Grace and is basically like, put your shoes on you have to run, you have to run, I'm going to unlock the security doors, you're gonna get out of here. And she's like, how could you let this happen? How could you like, you know, you knew that I could pull that card and this could happen? And he blames her. You, yeah, you wanted to get married. Yeah. You would have left me if I didn't ask you to marry me. Yeah. This is actually on you. Uh-huh. Also like if you're going to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to leave to to leave to to to to to to leave to to leave to to that th that that that that that that that that that that that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that that that the the th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I could thi the. the. the. the. th. I could th. the. I could Yeah. And maybe you could say my parents are murdering Satanists, so let's not do this. Especially because it sounded like he wasn't in touch with them during their courtship.
Starting point is 00:23:52 And then I guess he was so worried about the potential end result. Because mom keeps talking about how they're trying to bring him back into the fold. Right. We should th th the th the th th their th th th th th th. th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi's thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to. toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo shot, she's shot in front of them in the bedroom. Oh, right. So now it's on. Right. So now Grace is freaking out. Yeah. I should tell you that every time I typed Grace, I misspelled it as grave because I got them fat thumbs. And my phone was like, did you mean grave dancers? No, I did not. That's a classic film though. Oh, I loved it. Did I love it?
Starting point is 00:24:29 No, no one has ever loved that movie. We spent a lot of time making fun of the size of that one guy's head. It's not so much as head as his neck. It's just like solid head to neck to shoulder to waist. If you want more of that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind that kind tho the tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho the tho. tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho. tho. I tho. tho. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to tho that kind of talk, go listen to the Grave Dancers episode. Yeah, oh, there's also that little boy at the end in the fire who's just walking like a penguin. What a great movie. If you want to hear us sing Grave Dancers, dancing for money, you can go listen.
Starting point is 00:25:01 Do you remember that or do you assume that? Oh, I know we did that, without a doubt. I know us and we definitely did that. Oh, man. So Alex is going to unlock the doors, as you said. Right. And so she has to head to the kitchen. Right. Well, that should go off without a hitch. What could go wrong? How about a butler that for some reason loves the 1812 overture? He's fucking obsessed with that song. He cannot get enough. Granted, it's very excited. I mean it's a banger. Literally, it's loud as shit. It's loud a shit. Would you say that it slaps? Oh wow, we definitely say it might even say it crashes. Is that the next thing? A da da da da da da da. Duh. Wait, do a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. to the. to the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. tha. thing? After slaps. Wait, do kids say crash?
Starting point is 00:25:46 No, not yet. Should we start it? Oh, the song crashes. Now it's never going to work. Oh man, what have we tried to go up with new slang for children? Not children, teens. Children I could pull it off. Oh, that's boops.
Starting point is 00:26:03 It's booping in here. It's a boop forp for your your the boop for your the boop for your the boop for your the boop for your th for your th for your th for your boop for your boop for your boop for your boop for your boop for your boop for your boop It's booping! You're booping in here! It's a boop for your booty! Everyone hates me! I love where she sits down and like pulls the bottom foot or so of fabric off of her dress to like free her legs to run, which is so smart. So smart. Now the dress looks so cool. I was also like, are you going to go free her legs to run which is so smart. So smart. Now the dress looks so cool. I was also like, are you going to go down and play games in your wedding dress? I mean after my wedding I sat in a hotel fountain and ate pizza in my wedding dress.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Okay. I think sometimes, yeah, I think you might just not want to take it off. Yeah, sure, special day and all that. Yeah, then I dropped a slice of pizza on it and then I took it off and threw it somewhere and now it's ruined. Good job asshole. Do you know where it is now? I think it's in the attic maybe. Which is with a pizza slaiced to look. He was with a pizza stain on it for sure. I was hungry. So there's all this stuff, like after she shortens the dress, she gets found in the hallway by the guys that are carrying the body out, it's Daniel and Dad are carrying the body. Right, and they flip coins for who has to carry the head and who has to carry the legs, which they do several times in this movie.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Because they're all terrible people. They're all terrible people. And not in a the fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun then. This is thi. This is thi. This is like, thi. This is like, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. thi. thi. thi. So, thi. So, thi. thi. thi.eldian way. This is like if Seinfeld were real. Yeah. But so Emily comes round the corner and sees her and just start shooting wildly with complete disregard for her brother and father being on the other side of her. She's like, um, I don't know what I'm doing! I just, she's so funny. She's like, um, I don't know what I'm doing. I just, she's so funny. And Grace is like, the rich really are different.
Starting point is 00:27:51 So she sneaks into like a billiards room and that's when Daniel comes in and is like, uh, I'm just here for a drink. Oh, right, he gives her head start. But I'm gonna have to tell them where you are. Yeah. Because I'm not a good person. Right. Like, oh, buddy. Yeah. The self-awareness to know that you're a bad person.
Starting point is 00:28:13 You don't think bad people know they're bad people? that I'm a bad people. Doesn't that make that make that make that make that make that make that make that make that make that make that that that's that's that's that's that's that's. that's. that's. that's that's that's that's not. that's not. that that thoombue. thoombue. thioombue. thoomoombue. thoombue. thioombue. thioombue. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. thi. thithe time. I think I just found the root of your anxiety. I worry all the time that I'm a terrible person. Oh, I know I'm not. I'm all right. You're great. I'm a little self-centered. But who is it? No, knowledge of self.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Come on. It's great. Get to know you. Why are we treating this episode like therapy? Ah, so, she hides in the kitchen, the butler comes into the kitchen. Yeah. 1812 orchestra. He's conducting it. He's conducting it. He fucking loves it. Never takes this fucking white clubs off. No, no. Even when he's driving a car, even when he's hunting her down. He is so dedicated to his employer and why? Does the curse affect him too? I hope so. It does not seem as though it should. It seems like he might just be bloodthirsty. Yeah. Or really loyal? Yeah. Both those things are fine.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Everybody loves loyalty and blood thirst. So he is heating up a tea-cutt Yeah, both those things are fine. Everybody loves loyalty and bloodthirst. Blood thirst. So he is heating up a tea kettle and she's trying to load this fucking elephant gun that has like a foot long bullets. Yeah, well she's got the bandaleer. She's got the bandaleer on. I'm like, you're not going to know how to do any of this and this might require, no, No this is this is not this is not this is not this is not this is not this is not a a th no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tea, tea, thaea, thauui, tha-k, thaea, thi, this might require, no this is a lot of good gun, you just got it because it was big and it had a bandelier involved. It reminded me of your next where it turns out that the girl is a
Starting point is 00:29:50 survivalist so she actually did know how to use all the weapons which I thought was such a nice touch for a movie. Yeah, but in this movie she just sort of figures stuff out. Man that movie is so good. that movie's so good. So good. Wait, did that have Adam Brody in it too? No. No. You might be thinking of Ty West who looks kind of like him? Yeah, I think you're right. There's a quality. So she tries to shoot the butler and his response is the ammunition is for display only. So he's saying it's so smugly. Yeah. And then she picks up the teapot and just smashes him in the face with it.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Burns his fucking face up. He hardly cares. Yeah, no, he's ready to go. How many days would you lay in bed for if that happened to you? Oh, yeah, come on. Yeah, come on. least with those like cooling gel patches on my face just going oh no I'm pig-malion now going back to the first season of Traces to watch that too. Oh I'm rewatching line of duty come on doing it all again six seasons
Starting point is 00:30:56 so nice one mate nice one mate nice one mate I'm not alone I've got you mate I'm not alone. I've got you, mate. Do you think we're alienating people with this? Apparently not, they love our friendship, so they have to love our redonculus inside jokes. Talking about Britbox constantly. I've been watching Hope Street, it's trash and I'm still watching it? Don't even bother. Tell me finding Alice, it's really good. That's on Acorn, though, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:27 For people who follow along with these recommendations. It's got the one woman from the one season on line of duty where she might have been a sociopath and is like tricking them into thinking that Steve are not hooked up with her. I liked her. She's great. Yeah, she's the lead in this. Oh good, she was good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, all right, I'm sold. He said it had a bad guy from line of duty. That could have been anybody.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Sure, but they're all great actors. All the bad guys are really good. True. Um, Kelly McDonald. Oh, oh my god. how many years now? I don't know. Decades at this point? There go. So, Grace gets out of the house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And she is running through the grounds. Mm-hmm. And she ends up in a barn with a bunch of goats. Yes. Does she get to the... Yes. She has to get shot first. Yes. When Georgie comes out and he has a gun and shoots her in the fucking hand, Georgie is one of the grandchildren. He is a tiny boy. He's great. He shoots her with a little handgun. What does she do to him? She fucking unconscious with one punch, which he absolutely had coming. And then yells like you fucking little fuck. Yeah. Can we talk about how big the balls were on those goats. the goats. the goats. the goats. the goats. the goats. the goat. the the the th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. the the th. the the th. th. the the the th. the th. the the th. the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. te. te. tog. tog. te. togs. togs. te. togs. togs. thu. thu. th. we talk about how big the balls were on
Starting point is 00:32:45 those goats? I have never seen goat balls before. They were so big. I did not notice. Well they're kind of prominent. I don't know. I love it. I didn't even notice it. Is this when she fell into the goat pit or just that you're wandering around? They're wandering around. There's one that's just like walking free. Oh, there's that like goat jump scare. Yeah. He's got huge balls. He's pulled goat. He's bald goat. Well, good on him. She falls into this pit where they put like dead animals and refuse. Yeah. And she also finds a
Starting point is 00:33:25 human skull wearing a tuxedo. Well, the skull isn't wearing it. That would be adorable. The body isn't wearing it. A little tuxedo hat. Yeah. And it's got a bunch of arrows in it. So we know it to be the man from the beginning. Mm-hmm. And she is in a cess pit with an open wound in her hand. Yeah, straight through. Gave me the gul-alops. Like, oh, you're getting so much in there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Gonna have to amputate that hand. And then she has to like, like in that one season of line of duty where she gets the cut on her hand. Yeah, it doesn't take care of hand, she has to climb a ladder with only one hand. Yeah. I was like, I gotta learn to do a pull-up. Yeah, for sure. It's like the most life-saving thing in the world. I can't do it. And she gets to the top and throws her wounded hand up. Yep. And just puts the open wound. the hand part was over. He like closed his the th. Which they like you see it coming a mile away and I like had to tell Rob when the hand part was over he like closed his eyes covered his ears and was like let me know. It was so well set up though. Yeah
Starting point is 00:34:35 Oh no oh no no no no no ah ha ha. The fact that you know it's coming allows you to cringe that much harder you know it's the broken piece of wood to an eyeball in a Fulchee movie. Yeah, there you have it. So she runs, she gets around the grounds, they've turned the cameras back on. Yes. So they see where she is. And, oh, she breaks the fence. Yeah, she's trying to, she climbs out by like breaking one of the... She bends an iron rod, which is like...
Starting point is 00:35:06 With one hand. Pass that strength test. Well, she's got that adrenaline going. Yes, and. And she hails down a car that speeds away. Yeah. And then another car comes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Who in that car? It's Stevens. Oh, Butler Stevens is so fucking dedicated. When he's driving on the grounds chasing her, like, how did you get in here? How couldn't she get out? Yeah, that's a great question. There's also, during this, we see either the second or the third maid get killed by being in the dumbwaiter and hiding? Yes, there's like a killer on the loose and she dies in an everyday dumbwaiter accident. Yeah, because the second maid got killed when a cookie daughter shot her in the throat with her husband's crossbow. Oh, right, yes she does. She's like, give me that. I'll figure out how to use it.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Flomk. I think she said something like, why does this always happen to me? She won't carry any of the bodies. She's like, Daddy, I'm not carrying the bodies. So funny, so funny. So Stevens eventually... Oh, for some reason, Grace runs out of the woods and like out into the open, which like why would you? Why would you not just hide in the woods for hours? Yeah. Yeah. She's out in the open and stevens rolls up in the car and she gets into a fight with him where she's
Starting point is 00:36:36 choking him with her sash but does not kill him sadly. No. She leaves him and then tries driving in the car, calls Onstar, which is called something else. Yeah. Talks to Justin. I loved this scene. It was just such a nice comedic relief that ended in something so terrible happening, you know. And he's like, how can I help him? She's like, I need her to call the police. I'm being hunted. hands are tied. She just told you she's being content. I like that.
Starting point is 00:37:09 She's like, you could go fuck yourself then, Justin. And he's like, okay then. Ma'am, you don't have to talk to me like. Yeah, fuck off. You know what doesn't do that? 2011 Toyota Carolla baby. I got an email from one of those like car websites being like, we'll buy your 2011 Toyota Carolla and I was like, Jesus your heart up. Like hell you will. First of all, yes, like hell you will. This car is my soulmate. They were like, we'll give you $5,000 for it, which is way more than it. Way more. I was going to write back and just be like, House 15 sound. Keep in mind, it's vanilla-scented. Keep in mind, it's a filth show.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Keep in mind, it's podcast famous. Yes, that's true. It's also a convertible. It's not. It's not. Oh, where are we now? Oh, she runs into Adam Brody again and he gives her up. Oh, are we now? Oh, I don't know. Oh, she runs into Adam Brody again and he gives her up. Yes. Oh, also Alex has been handcuffed in the bedroom at this point. Yes. Because the family does not, found out that he was helping her because he smashed all of the surveillance
Starting point is 00:38:21 equipment in the house. Right. And Andy McDow comes in and she's like, why did you leave us, Alex? And it's like, come on, look at yourselves. And so the butler is driving him, driving them back. And he's listening, of course, the 1812 overture, really, really loud. Oh, and he's video chatting with the family. She wakes up in the back seat and kicks him with her tied legs. I love this because everyone's watching it happen on the phone just going, oh! Oh!
Starting point is 00:38:55 It's very funny. I also love that the dad's like, Stevens, Svens! But he's jamming the 1812 overture so hard. It's a boop. It crashes though. Da da da da da da da da. Stevens! So, yes, Daniel finds her, knocks her out. And dad has been watching this whole interaction from the woods just to see if Daniel
Starting point is 00:39:26 would be a good boy and do what he's supposed to do. Gross! At this point I was like, I'm doing such a good job with Lucy. Well, I couldn't tell if dad was watching from the woods because he's a coward and doesn't want to be involved, or if he was watching Daniel to see if he was being a good boy? I think he was testing his kid. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, to, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to be to be to be to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their the the th the the the the the the the the the the thr-a the throooooooo the th th the the thi thi, thi, th Daniel to see if he was being a good boy. I think he was testing his kid. Yeah. Good boy. Because it seems like his it seems like his children other than Alex have been very disappointing to him. Yes. Because one's an alcoholic and one's a coke head. But I mean in Daniel's defense he did see his newly minted uncle murdered by the family. Yeah. What's a Grace wake up tied down to? uncle murdered by the family. Yeah. What's a Grace wake up tied down to?
Starting point is 00:40:11 Oh, like a ritual table. Yeah, pentagram. A pentagram table. Pentagram table. And there's Latin being recited over top of her. Because of course there is. And I was thinking, oh, this is not dissimilar from the end of the last exorcism where Satan is real. True. Yeah, yeah, I think you're right. Or, uh, house of the devil. I don't remember how that ends. Satan is real. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. She gets a bragdated by Satan.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. Where it turns like a rob zombie movie the end of it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Where it turns like a rob zombie movie at the end of it. Yeah. Yeah. It turns out that Daniel has poisoned the ritual blood that they're drinking. Oh, right. He gives him hydrochloric acid, which is not enough to kill them, but they'll shit weird for a week. Shit weird. Just like squares. Yeah. Oh, octagons. He's so funny.
Starting point is 00:41:09 And so he grabs her and tries to run away with her. Yeah. Another note that says he helps grave. That's not our name. Grave dancers. Uh, and Charity, his wife shoots him in the neck. Yeah. Which is brutal.
Starting point is 00:41:27 It is brutal. And they just like kind of leave him to bleed out too. That's gross. Yeah, and Alex finds him bleeding out. Yeah, there's nothing you can do, huh? Man, Charity is so cold. She has the same haircut as Dario's friend from Jane. Yeah, Jane Lane. She was like my fucking hero.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Of course she was. Yeah, so cool. I was like, I need to get through earrings too. And a surly, surly attitude. I already had that. Oh, okay. I'm boar with that. But she keeps saying basically that like she's willing to do this because she's not giving up being rich. Right, because she grew up poor. Yeah. I'm, I I I I, yeah, yeah, I, I, yeah, I, yeah, she's, yeah, she's, yeah, yeah, she's, yeah, she's, she's, yeah, she's, yeah, yeah, she's, she's, yeah, she's, she's, she's th. Yeah, she's th. Yeah, yeah, she's th. Yeah, yeah, she's th. Yeah, she was th. Yeah, she was like, she was like, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was, she was. She was like, she was like, she was like, she was like, she was like, she was like, she was like, she wasthat like she's willing to do this because she's not giving up being rich. Right because she grew up poor. Yeah yeah yeah. I'm not giving up my life. But so she shoots Daniel and she's going to shoot Grace but Grace runs over and grabs the gun and fucking pistol whips her with it. Brutal. I was like, oh Samarra Weaving, you're such a good action star. Yeah, she really is. I need to see that movie may mayhem him that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie that movie th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I need to see that movie Mayhem that she's in, which is like people working in an office building and then have to fight their way out of the office building. It's like a horror comedy action movie. I will watch that. Which sounds like right up our alley. Those are all things we enjoy in many ways. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Daniel's dying.
Starting point is 00:42:47 She beats Dad with a lamp and sets the room on fire. She's just running around hating people now. Yeah, basically. Yeah. And then she, Andy McDowell comes in and she picks up the box and fucking beats her to death. After she drives the shooter with her bow and arrow and she goes, in my defense, I'm out of practice. Yeah, in my defense, it's been a while. It's a great thi. It's. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a the th. It's a th. It's a the th. It's a the th. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. After she tries to shoot her with her bow and arrow and she goes, in my defense, I'm out of practice. Yeah, in my defense, it's been a while. It's a great quip.
Starting point is 00:43:09 It is. Also, so she was the one who shot the OG dead husband. She must have been. Wowie, wow. Yeah. Yeah, she fucking beats her with that box. Yes. And I think Alex has a gun on her at this point. So Alex comes in and sees Grace beating his mother to death of the box. Right, right. This is not easy for him. And so he tries crushing her head with his hands. Yeah. And then yells for his family that she's in here. Yeah. Because he's now done his heel turn. Yes, because he's like you won't be with me
Starting point is 00:43:49 after this, will you? Which is so gross. Yeah. And also no. No one will. No one. You're a bad person. Yeah. It's kind of hard to like, I mean obviously he sucks, but also like he, it sounded like there was a very good chance she may have just pulled checkers, you know? Right, right, exactly. His siblings are both married and those people just pooled, you know, games. Some dumb game that wasn't murder involved. Yeah. But also that's a terrible thing to do to someone's life, huh?
Starting point is 00:44:24 On your wedding night? Yeah. So, so, so, so, he, so, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's thi, it's tho, it's tho, it was tho, it was tho, it was tho, it was tho, it was tho, it was thi, it was thi, it thi, it thi thi thi, it thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, it's thi thi, it's thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thiiiiiiiiiiiaauiauiauiauiauiauiauia' thia' thia thia thrible thing to do to someone's life, huh? On your wedding night? So she is once again tied down. And they have this like mouth guard gag on her, but it's this like leather strap contraption? It sucks. I was like, oh, you just had that laying around. Yeah, they were like, we should have this the first time around. I just found it in the junk drawer. And the bigger kid loves this. He's like, wide-eyed with joy.
Starting point is 00:44:52 I love that Georgie has a black eye from her cracking over the face too. At this point, I felt like, well, Seaton does mean, you know when he loves games. Yeah So Alex is going to kill her But he purposely misses and stabs her in the shoulder Does he purposely miss? I think so I think he feels remorse about doing it as he's dropping the knife on her. Okay And when that happens the sun is coming up? Which we've been told they have to do this before sunrise? Or the whole family will die, but there's always always th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the th th th the whole th th the the the thi thi thi the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. thi th. th. th. th. th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the thea. thea. to thea. tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. the the. the. the, the sun is coming up, which we've been told they have to do this before sunrise. Or the whole family will die, but there's always been this tension of like, what if that's a lie?
Starting point is 00:45:29 What if this is bullshit and we're killing someone for no reason? But even though there were other families that they knew that had died. He's like, yeah, my cousin, Rachel, and the, and their, and their, and their, and their, their, their, their, their, thu's thu and thu and thu and thu and thu and thu and thu and thu and thu and thi. thi. thi. thoes thi. thi, thi. the is thoes thoes thoes the, the, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. that's that, that, that, that, that theeeaa's thea's theean. thean. theanan. theananananan's thea's thea'sthe window, opens the drapes, and the sun comes in and everyone was like, hey! This is a very funny scene. And Fitch is like, nothing, nothing's happened. Yeah, nothing's happened. And then they all have faces like, ooh, maybe we shouldn't have tried to kill you, sorry. Yeah, a real lot of like, ooh, maybe we shouldn't have tried to kill you, sorry. Yeah, a real lot of like, oh wait. But that's not what happens.
Starting point is 00:46:10 No. What happens? Helene explodes because she picks up her axe and she's coming at grace and yells, the girl still dies! Why, Helene? I mean, I guess you'd kind of have to at that point. Exactly, you're, she's seen too much. And for a penny and for pounds. Yeah, right. And so, as she's running towards her, she just turns into liquid, a mist of blood.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Oh, it's so good. It's so funny. the family starts exploding. Yes. And I love when Mrs. McMurray runs out of the room with her two kids and then there's three explosions. Yeah, like a big one and two smaller explosions. And we also see at this point Mr. LaBale sitting in a chair. Yeah, and he gives her like a evening. Yeah, like, it looks real shitty and you only see it for a second and you're like, what? It's so good, it's so funny. I guess we've been told at some point about like the deal made with Mr. LeBale, but it doesn't matter at this point. So Alex is like, so I still love you and we can make this work.
Starting point is 00:47:19 He's the last one standing. Yes. Which I feel like Mr. LeBale was like, let's just see what happens. Let this play out for a little bit. And she takes off her wedding ring and says, I want a divorce and throws him at him as the wedding ring hits him, he explodes. It's so funny. She walks out of the house. She's already picked up Andy McDowell's fancy cigarette case. She walks out of the house and sits down on the steps covered in blood with like a hole in her hand, smoking a cigarette as the police arrive. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:49 The house is on fire and I just thought, oh this is like that Paris Hilton movie, like how are you going to explain this house full of dead people? And somebody says, Jesus Christ, what to happen to you? Her response? In-laws? So silly. So silly. She was reminding me of Bruce Willison Die Hard because she was just covered in blood and dirt and everything and like just having a cigarette at the end of it all. Yeah. I feel like this movie is in many ways just a mush together of a bunch of other movies. Yeah, which I don't mind. No. No. No, who does? Who doesn't? Who doesn't? Who doesn't love a mushy movie? I mean? I think. I th I th I th I th I th I th I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th th. I th th th th. I th. I th. th. th. th th th th thi. th. So th. So th. So th. So. thi. So. thi. So. thi. th yeah. Which I don't mind. No. No, who does? Who would? Who doesn't love a mushy movie? I mean, I think we've been mad at some of you. Yeah, Rob Zombie has gotten a lot of our anger for freaking mushy movies. Yeah, every movie he ever liked. You guys seen this movie? I have. But this one is like, it's just subtle. And subtle is so much better than Amphisted in this sure in these situations so Katie Alan want to rate this movie yeah I love it yeah first of all let me tell you something I love yeah I love the setting of an
Starting point is 00:48:56 old spooky house sure just like a knives out. Or clue less. Less so. Less so. Love that movie though. I think that's actually a perfect film. It is. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that movie. But yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:49:14 I love a spooky house or a setting for a movie. Yeah. I love all the actors in this movie. I love Canadians, I think. Is that fair? yeah? Yeah. I loved it. I'm giving it a nine. Nice. Yeah, I love this movie. Yeah. Me too. And it's so easy to watch. It's short. It's sweet. It's fun. There's not a lot you need to keep track of, you know. There are a lot of cast members, but they're all so well defined. That you don't lose track of whose. Starting point is 00:49:50 I do appreciate that on the Wikipedia page, it gives you like some more weaving as Grace to love to moss, Alex's young bride and wife. So you do a family tree. Bride and wife. they might be the same same same same same same same same same same same same same same same same same same same the same the same their their their their their their their their the same thing. Bride, and then also wife. In the morning she was his bride and the evening she was his wife. She's both his lady and woman. Yeah, I think nine is a solid score for this.
Starting point is 00:50:13 I would agree with you on that. It's great. Salt in the theater. A lot of fun. Same. Good time. Good time. see knives out if you get a chance that's also a great movie? Yeah I don't remember as much about it as I would like. Okay. I hit the teaky bar too hard. Because I thought I didn't know it was going to be the end of life as I knew it.
Starting point is 00:50:31 You know? Just teaky bar your way out of this one. I'll just see this movie again later. No I won't. I mean you still can. It's still on the streaming. It's still th. Yeah, you guys are all right. Speaking of good friendship, we're going to be releasing a non-new episode next week. A non-new episode. Yeah, is that what you said? Non-new? Non-new. Some might call it old. Some might call it a Patreon episode. Yeah, yeah. I'm going to go and

Eight years and my favorite thing of the world is just, uh-huh. Hands this way and that way and gesturing wildly, you know, no. But don't take it as a sign of anything. No, we are so saddy. No, just. Until one of us dies. Dealing with family shit. Yeah. You know how, y'all know how that goes.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Y'all know, y'all know, you know, y'all know, you know, y'all know how that is. Y'all? So, no holds barred, watch it or don't, because like, it's probably funnier if you don't. Sure, imagine us trying to explain a movie. But imagine Kurt Fuller and Hocogun are in it. I love that you remember Kurt Fuller's name. Oh, I love him. He's on a show I like on network television.
Starting point is 00:56:29 Okay. Evil. It's on CBS. I don't know. My friend Tara got me into it. Sure. And I don't know how. It's just like now I watch a network TV show. But I like watching on a streaming service. I watch it on Paramount.
