In this week's episode, our second of College Month, we're discussing the final entry into the "Scream" franchise that we've yet to review: "Scream 2." Special topics for your consideration include: a...n absolute cavalcade of 1997 stars, inexplicable movie theatre behavior, 1997 hair, phone hacks, a serious of extremely 90s conceits and just some nice times hanging with old movie friends. Scream, baby! We've got the original in Episode 44, "Scre4m" in Episode 228, "Scr3am" in Episode 278, and "Scream 5[?]" in Episode 374. Genuinely I'm sort of sad to bring this franchise to a close (lol jk they're definitely doing another one, right?) HEY, we're running a contest in August! Starting point is 00:00:00 Katie. Alan. What are we doing? What are we doing? We're doing Scream 2? We're doing Scream 2 or Scra tum. Yeah, yeah, Scream 2, aka the introduction of the Stab franchise. Yes, and I think we did this film a disservice by watching 3, 4 and 5 after it, or before it, and not after it as they were meant to be watched, but that's how we treat these franchises.
Starting point is 00:00:47 Sure. Yes. We're testing their merit as individual films. And to be fair, none of them really stand up any of them, when you watch them out of order, do they? It's true, but I have a fun thing to tell you right out of the gate. Okay. I loved this movie. Yes, I'm so glad to hear that. Can I tell you something? Yes. I loved it too. I feel like this was like returning to old friends? Okay. It did kind of feel that way, didn't it? Yeah. I think you're not going to ever go wrong starting me off with both Omar Epps and Jayadapinkett. I would watch Omar Eps calculate his effective tax rate. Like I would watch him do anything. I love him. And the two of them together? Amazing. I did, I, Jada Pinkett Smith was a
Starting point is 00:01:35 lot worse than I remember her being. Come again? Yes again. Wow. Yeah. Star of poetic justice I never saw Poetic Justice, but I don't think she was really the star of much else, was she? No, no. She's in that one, Tales from the Crypt movie? No, I don't know. Hmm. I mean she's in Demon Night. Oh, yeah, oh yeah, we talked about this. Yeah, yeah. There's a Sist a Soldier reference right out of the gate, which I was very excited about, because I was like, th thi thi th. th. th. th. th. th. No th. No th. No yeah. There's a sister soldier reference right out of the gate which I was very excited about because I was like no one knows what that is in 2022. Nope. But it's 1997 and people do. 1997. Yeah and I'm renting this movie at Iggle Video. We get the return of Nick Cave's Red Right Hand and I was like oh it was always in this franchise, okay. Yeah, no yeah, but it's also in every other movie and television show about murders too so you know I love the idea that like like this is the meta horror that I harer that I
Starting point is 00:02:33 wanted out of all the other screen movies sure it's so like so self-aware in like a having fun with it way absolutely yeah oh Absolutely. OE and Jeda are at a theater opening of Stab. We learned that he's been sent free tickets. Right. And when they get there they're handed free scream costumes because the studio sent them to the theater. Okay. It would be like if you went to a movie about the Nightstalker and they gave you Richard Ramirez costumes that you came walking in. It's just real shitty teeth. Yeah, that's wild.
Starting point is 00:03:16 It's wild. And also, we're told that Windsor College is in Ohio, so did they just send them to every movie theater in the country enough to give out to everyone? Wild. The studio is spending so much money on this. Have you ever been in a theater where people were behaving like this? Like running, jumping? What, where? When I saw, oh, fuck, my bloody Valentine 3D with Jensenkels? Yeah. People were going bananas. It was like this movie is so stupid I don't give it shit. It's like missing much. People just like talking, talking back to the screen, throwing stuff. I've never been in a movie theater where that's happening. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:51 It was fine. Yeah it was fun. It was not as bananas as this, obviously. Right where you didn't notice a person getting murdered. Yeah. So the the the the. to the Heather Graham as Drew Barrymore, which I loved. So good. And I seem to recall like in one of the most recent movies, probably the fifth movie, where they're like, they're like, Heather Graham and Luke Wilson, and then like watching it, it's like, holy shit, they were in Stab. This movie is a who's who's who of 1997. It's beautiful. I love it. Time capsule. It really is.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Also is Heather, like Heather Graham's ageless, right? Like she just does not age? I think so. I think her face is just sort of porcelain. Yeah. Yeah. Not me. Well, she's going er now to his girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:04:47 She's like, I'm going to go get popcorn. I just think she's a bit of a shitty date, you know? Sure, she's not here to have fun. She's a breeed to come, and she's making such a big deal out of it. But I do like that she's just kind of making fun of white people the whole time. Yeah, Yeah, well she's just being mean to Omar Epps, who just wants to see the movie. It's true. Yeah, and you got these free tickets. She does also yell at the screen, hang up in Star 69 his ass.
Starting point is 00:05:14 It's true. Did teenagers know what Star thii is thi. Back then, yeah, hell yeah. This is a funny movie because it's like, caller ID is just this insane concept. Yeah, yeah. It killed prank phone calls them. Yeah, sure. Well, you can star six seven and block your number. Oh, yeah. That still works on a cell phone, I think.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Well, here, I'll star six seven myself and call you. What's your phone number? It is one, two, three. What does it say? Restricted! See, you can still Star Six Seven. Oh, no. Don't call me, y'all. I'm not taking it out. Oh, no, you are not leaving that in. Do you know how many texts you're going to get? Just like, howling you up? Yeah. Yeah. So, Jada Pinkett Smith's out in the movie theater lobby. And there are, it's just crawling with people who have just come out of the movie. It's the opening scene. I've seen Scream One. They're so jazzed to be coming out of the theater and be there to sing the movie.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Yes. They're re-enacting it in the lobby. I'm so scared I almost shit myself then stay in there and watch it Say in there and shit yourself asshole and then Omar X is immediately like oh I have to pee Yeah yeah why did you pee before the movie started and why are there so many people in the bathroom wearing scream masks they went in sat down and then came back out to pee has no one seen a movie before yeah yeah. Yeah. But he gets stabbed to death. he's he tabbed he. he the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the movie. the the movie. the the the movie. the the the movie. the movie. the movie. the the movie. the they. th. th. th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. th. th. th. th. Oh. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I. the. the. the. I. the. I. the. Oh. the. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, he's trying to hear what's happening in the stall next to him. Because there's moaning going on. And he's just doing his like, Omar Epps grin. And as we know, he is aroused. Yes, he already has a boner. I thought you couldn't pee with a boner.
Starting point is 00:06:58 You can, it's just like kind of uncontrollable. Yeah, yeah. Okay. And that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he. So he's he. he. hea. hea. hea. hea. he. th. th. he. hea. hea. hea. He's just hea. He's just hea, he's just th. He's just th. He's just th. He's just th. He's just th. He's just th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He's just. He's just. He's just. He's just. He's just. He's just just. He's just just th. He's just to t. He's just t. He's just to. He's just he. He's just he. He's just he. He's just he. He's just th. He's just th, it's not the best. Yeah. Okay. Uh-huh. So he puts his ear up to the stall wall and gets stabbed right in the side of the head. And I thought to myself, that would be really hard to punch a knife through one of those things. Yeah, but very fun. I liked it a lot. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then Jada Pinkett has gone back. to thii. forgive me. She has sat down and someone comes in in Omar F's jacket to sit next to her. Wearing a scream mask or a stab mask, I guess. Stab mask, please. Which also glows in the dark, by the way.
Starting point is 00:07:33 And they all gave them stab knives, too. Yeah. The glow in theater? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. I do remember that one of the 24-hour, or no, it was just, it might have been a 24-hour movie theater or a movie marathon that I went to and I wore my glow-in-the-dark, the stab guy. In the theater, everybody thinks it's part of the show. She takes her sweet time dying though. She like stumbles up to the stage in front of the movie theater or movie screen.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Going, ah! She's a bad actor, I'm sorry. Hush! I didn't know you were a fan of Jada Pinkett Smith. Insert, you keep her name out of your mouth, joke here. I mean, I don't know what that's all about, but I assume it's a work, because everything is wrestling. I refuse to read anything about that, but I'm certain it was a work. I would love if Rustle Mania,3, whatever they're up to now.
Starting point is 00:08:45 It was just Chris Rock and Will Smith. No, I don't think that. I don't think they have anything to do with pro wrestling. I think pro wrestling has to do with everything else. I think everything is a work. So you think pro wrestling has leaked out into the world at large? Yes. I think that's probably true. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Anyway, she's dead. She dead. She did. I was like, damn, I did not expect you had a big and spit to be out of this movie so soon. Really? Yeah. I had, this is a movie I've seen a lot of times. Okay. Because my cousin, Celeston, I used to rent it all the time. to thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to th. to th. to to to to th. to to th. to to the. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the. the. the. the the the the the the the the. the the the the the the the the the. the the. the. the. the. the. the. toe. the we were like 13 or 14 you know. I also recall enjoying the soundtrack to this movie, which as I wrote here, so far not so good. I don't even remember what's on the soundtrack. Well, here's one thing that I noticed was missing from the soundtrack is in the scene where Jerry O'Connell sings I Think I Love You. In the the theatrical release, it like faded into a less than Jake cover of that song th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi theateateate to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. I the the the the the the the the the the theateateate the theateate the theateate the thate thate thate thate the thatthe theatrical release, it like faded into a less than Jake cover of that song. Oh, okay, yeah. Which is how I got into less than Jake at age 14. I think that's now over the ending credits, maybe? Oh, is it? Oh, I'm... It's somewhere in the movie. Okay, you did see it. Did you watch it on Paramount? No, I watched it. I rented it from probably Amazon. Okay, I must, I mean, maybe Paramount had a different version of it, but there was definitely
Starting point is 00:10:09 less than Jake in it. Okay, but I missed it entirely and I was bummed. Because that's how I got into like third wave ska really. That's awesome. Yeah, and they started going to like Skank and shank and all, every band in Pittsburgh at that time had Skankin' in their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th their th th th th Skankin' in their name. I did learn recently that there was a band in Pittsburgh called Scoblin. Oh, I've never heard of them. They're like an older ska punk band.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Really? Such a good name, scablin. I just see Skank and Homer quite a bit. In like the 97 to 99 corridor. Skank and Homer? Yeah. Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Ska. Okay. We're seeing them at Millvale Industrial Theater quite a bit.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I like that somebody on our subreddit found out about metascophilies recently. I was very excited. Hey, go buy our General's Hospital shirt on T-Public.com.s slash something. Search for Oral Famuilance, I don't know. I would say buy it for your kids. Yeah. Kids look adorable in it. Also, I bet Governor a little Taco Boy agrees with me that wrestling.
Starting point is 00:11:21 I wish that I was into wrestling. I just can't get into it. Why? I don't know. Just look at the majesty of it. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I just can't get into it. Why? I don't know. Just look at the majesty of it. I can't. I can't see it. Funny storylines and people doing cool athletics. I'm jealous of all you folks that can get into it. I really don't watch it that often. Okay. I'm too busy watching baseball takes up too much of my time. Sure. Yeah. So yes. So now we're dealing with the aftermath aftermath after after after after after after after after after after after after after after after after after after after after the aftermath. We're the aftermath. We're the after the after the after the after the after th. We're th. We're th. We're th. We're th. We go to the college slash seminary. That, uh, fucking, what's her name? Sydney Prescott?
Starting point is 00:11:53 Sidney Prescott goes to, Nev Campbell. Yes, we are, we see her because she's sleeping in her phone rings, her landline. And she picks it up and it's someone talking through like a voice modulator asking what her favorite scary movie is. She looks looks th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, like, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, thu, thu, thu, thu, and, and, and, the the the the the the thu. thi, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, thi. thi. thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. And, thi. thiii. thiii. thi. thi. thi. thi. We's, thi. thi. thi. We's, talking through like a voice modulator asking what her favorite scary movie is. She looks at her caller ID and names the person. Yeah. And they're like, oh my god, how? Oh it's so silly. It's so silly. And then we see leave Shriber for the first time. Cotton weary. I find him just the actor to be very creepy. Sure. His face does something to be very creepy. His face does something that makes me uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like if you saw him walking towards you on the street, I think you'd cross and walk to the other side as a woman. Which is why he's a good red herring villain. Yeah, he is very good in this. Mm-hmm. And then we cut too, oh, because he's been released from released released released released revealed who killed Sidney's mother because Sidney's testimony had put him in jail. Correct. It was Billy Lumas who had killed her mother and Stu whatever his name is. Mocker? Yes. How?
Starting point is 00:12:54 How? That's really good. That is really good. We've done all of these movies. Yeah, well, he's only in several of them, despite dying in the first one. He's mentioned in every single one of them. No, you're right. I feel like the last one said his name a thousand times. Yeah, that's right, because it were like his niece and nephew or something. Yeah. So we see that he's been released from prison, and he seems to credit this to gale wail to to to to credit to credit to to to to to to be to to to be the to be the to be the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the book, The Wardsboro Murders. Yes. Fucking love Gail Weathers. Her hair is just a fucking time capsule. I love that they have the exact same haircut, she and Sidney.
Starting point is 00:13:31 But hers just has like red streaks in it. Yeah, and she doesn't talk it behind her ears. So then we cut to film class and who's there? Everybody, you love! Timothy Oliphon, Jamie Kennedy, Pacey. Sarah Michelle Geller, they're all there. It's so good. It's so silly. They're talking about sequels that surpass their predecessors and Sarah Michelle Geller says, name one and I out loud screamed, Wegan at Bernie's! Even though I know it's not true and then I wrote just kidding major league. Major League two is better than Major League? Yeah because it's got Omar ups. Okay yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:13 I like him better than Wesley Snipes I have to say. Oh wow different generations. Yeah. I'm more of an always better on black kind of guy. Oh my God. And Jamie Kennedy does like four different impressions in the last scene and a half, basically. I don't like it. He's a lot in this movie. I liked him quite a bit in the first movie.
Starting point is 00:14:36 He's over the top, but you like him? I feel like the goatee is doing something to him here that I'm just not doing. I feel like the go like the go like the go like the go like th th th th th th th th doing. I'm just not having it. I feel like by this point he had become Jamie Kennedy. Okay. Like on his way to having his own prank television show Jamie Kennedy. Right. Where is he now? I saw him last in a blockbuster documentary. I'm a documentary about blockbuster stores. Weird. Yeah. You looked rough. I can imagine. Yeah. Timothy Oliphant looking beautiful as always. You looked rough. I can imagine. Yeah. Yeah. Timothy Oliphon, looking beautiful as always. You have such a thing for Timothy Oliphant. I said this to Missy. She saw, she strongly disagreed with me. I feel like he is aged into his handsome.
Starting point is 00:15:16 I don't find young Timothy Oliphon as handsome. I do recall as a young woman, a teen, not thinking he was cute at all. Yeah. Yeah. Well, what about the crazy's era Timothy Oliphon as the sheriff in that town? You know, Timothy Oliphant isn't for me, but I do think he got better looking. Yeah, okay, okay, all right. Speaking of good looking, we've got Jerry O'Connell in this movie. Does nothing for me. No, I mean, I would not thii. thi. thin. thi. they. they. thi. thi. they's their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their their ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. ti. their. their just like when we find these men that we don't have to fight over Yeah, I mean, I don't want to fuck Jerry O'Connell Let's let's be honest cannot say the same about Timothy Alvand You want to fuck him? I would. Yeah, let him fuck him. Yeah, if he asked you say yes Yeah, and to try something out? Yeah, who might say no? Who are you to say now? So they're they they they they are they are to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to say? to say? to to say? Who are to say? Who are to say? Who are to say? Who are to say? Who are to say? Who are to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to say? Who to to to to to to to to to to the the th to the the to the to they? Yeah? Yeah? Who to to to to to to the to the the to say? Yeah? Who to say? Who th to say now? So they're having a press conference about the murder of Jada Pinkett Smith and Omar Epps on the college campus where Sidney Prescott goes. Where the movie is about her, like it just makes no fucking sense.
Starting point is 00:16:19 It's like Sidney Prescott lives in a world where everyone is constantly trying to disrespect her. Yeah, that's a hard life. That's a hard life. And Courtney Cox It's like Sidney Prescott lives in a world where everyone is constantly trying to disrespect her. Yeah, that's a hard life. That's a hard life. And Courtney Cox is there as Gail Weathers. Looking great, except for that hair. And we meet Debbie Salt, played by Lori Metcalfe, whom I love. I just, she's another person I would watch, to do their taxes.
Starting point is 00:16:39 I was like, she's like the fuck the fuck alf doing this movie? She's me. Have you watched Hacks? No. I know you told me to. Highly recommend it. Okay. And in season two, Lori Metcalf shows up and you're just like, this is a delight. Thank you. I, what I love about Lori Metcalf in this movie is that she does not blink.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Not once. At this one I have the note, this movie has everyone. And we haven't even seen Rebecca Gahard and Portia de Rossi. Her eyebrows are doing all the lifting of her in this movie. It's amazing. Also I just want to point out that when Randy sees Gail Weathers, he goes, oh she had caffin plants, which I thought was very funny for some reason. Yeah, so Rebecca Gahart and Portia D'rassie show up. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They. They're. They're. They're. They're. They're. They're. They're their. They're their. They're their. They're th. They're th. They're th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, their. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They. They. They. They. They. They's. They. They's. They's. They's. They're. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah funny for some reason. Yeah, so Rebecca Gahart and Portia DeRosse show up. They're the sorority sisters. Yeah, they're just like the shitty sorority sisters, the thing that ties all of these movies
Starting point is 00:17:33 together for us. All of them. All of them. They're wearing pastel. And Sydney's roommate Hall is also wearing pastel so that she can join this club. I love this because I feel like these actors are in a 90s teen comedy, for sure.
Starting point is 00:17:51 That the rest of us aren't watching. For sure. They're doing all the stuff off camera that we're just not seeing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And Dewey is just wandering around the campus looking looking like a real ding-dong. Is he still a cop? Yes. Why doesn't he have a gun or a badge? Because this is not his jurisdiction. But he would still have a gun?
Starting point is 00:18:11 No, you can't just roll around with that shit. Yes, you can. Not in America, Katie. Oh my god, are you telling me there's gun? No, I don't think you can just have your cop gun with you all the time. Maybe you can, I don't know. If there's any, after everything we've said, if there are any cops listening still. Let us know. Or it's like your dad was a cop.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Did he bring your gun on vacation? Your gun, your gun, your gun, his gun. Our gun. The gun. So Dewe has come to campus to check to to to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to check to to to to to to to to gun, the royal gun. So Dewey has come to campus to check in on and warn Sidney about what's going on. You're right, he's because he's a good guy. And he immediately is like, okay, the killer. You probably already know them already they're already in your life. And it's like a little bit lazy on West Craven's part to establish in the first quarter of the film that she must know the killer. Starting point is 00:19:05 Yeah. Delightful though. Yeah. Also, he is very injured by his, um, what happened in the first movie where he gets stabbed, and he cannot use his arm and he walks with a very pronounced limb, which in later movies, he gets the use of that arm back. He's gone through some PT at that point. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Starting point is 00:19:30 No. It was just, you mean live? No, I do not. You mean live. I'm not gonna let you fix. Oh, I was doing talk. . How do you say it? Leave? Leave? Leave? Okay. Leav? Leave? Yeah. Leav? Yeah. I don't know. I think. I don't know. I don't like. So, gale? Like, fucking, fucking sucker punches, Sydney with this like, oh, here's the dude you put in jail. Starting point is 00:20:15 hair, which I liked. I mean it's probably obvious. They have great chemistry. Oh I know I love them in this movie. Yeah. David the. I love them in this movie. Yeah. Yeah. They have all the chemistry that Jerry O'Connell and Sidney Prescott do not have. No, she is not into him. No. No. The sorority girls, they walk up, they're trying to recruit Sydney. And they walk up and Porsche Rossi goes, hi. No, I really mean that. Hi. And I love that and him going to use to to to to to to to to to to to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. the the the the the the the the the the the the the theycoe C. they. they. their theirie theirie. theiry. their c. their c. their c. their. their. the the the the the the the the the the the they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. No, I really mean that. Hi. And I love that and I'm going to use that. That is fucking funny. Love the Omega Beta Zeta's drink with your brain. That's our motto. And I think that's a good motto.
Starting point is 00:20:56 What is it, Omega Beta Zeta? Which we keep hearing because Sarah Michelle Geller and Omega Beta Zeta herself keeps answering the phone. Is her character CCC? CECC. Yes. I remember Celeste and I being so scared of the scene in C.C's sorority house. Why? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:15 But she's a film theory major. She really needs to put her knowledge into effect. How so? Like, she's got the fuck out. Her friend comes in and then walks out and she doesn't just like leave with her. Well, she's the sober sister. She's got to be there for other sisters. Yeah, but like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Shouldn't the designated whatever be at the party with the people who are getting drunk to make sure that they get home okay? rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather rather. Rather than relying on them to call you in a land where no one has cell phones. Yeah, okay Okay, just saying you know 1997 get your shit together seriously So she who are hears of course a noise upstairs Calls campus security, but what connection is poor right because she's standing out on the porch Wireless phone god damn cordless phones. You remember that you'd be talking on them and you'd walk too far from the base and it would either start to to to to to to to to the the the the the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the to to to to to to to to to to??? to to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to to to to to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to? to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their? their? their? their? their their their their their their their their their their their their? their? their their their their their their their you'd walk too far from the base and it would either start beeping or just cut you off? Starting point is 00:22:06 battery would die? Yeah. Because we were talking for fucking hours to your girlfriend? What the fuck is wrong with the world? I don't think talking on the phone to your girlfriend is kind of nice. It. It would be in the middle of the night. Oh, not a lot of phone calls coming into my last name residents. What if there was an emergency? It's true. It's true. Well, we had call waiting. Oh, did you? Wow, rich guy? Oh, I know. We had cable and call waiting. to the tape. the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that that that that that the that the that the that th. Oh. Oh. Oh. What the fuck is the point of a living room you can't eat in? There's a big sign outside the living room and says no eating in the living room. I thought, how dare you?
Starting point is 00:22:55 I mean, if you've got a bunch of fucking filth trash that are living in this house, you don't want I'm getting food all of the living room. I don't thagagagag I around young people? I went to college? Yeah. Yeah. Feel trash. But I do love this thing of where she like walks back in because he got the poor connection and the killer's just like, a yonk and comes in the door behind her? Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:17 So good. The killer has so much planning. The kills in this movie are so well planned. Like, I can the kill, I I I I I the kill, I the kill, I the kill, I the kill, I the kill, I the kill, I the kill, the kill, the kill, the kill, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiolk, thiolk, thiolk, thi, I, I just, I just, I just, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. thi. th. th. thi. I. thi. I. I. I. I. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. toe. toe. toe. It's, I toea. It's, toea. It's, toea. It's, toea. It's, too. I too. too. I t are so well planned. Like, I can't even make a plan to get my fucking laundry done. And these people... Here's one of the foibles of these films. Yeah. The killers in this movie are always so much stupider than they can possibly be to pull off the shit they have to pull off.
Starting point is 00:23:40 I mean, just the sheer amount of contingency planning that they would have to do to make to make to make make to make make to make to make to make to make to make to make to make to make to make to make to make the work to make the just the sheer amount of contingency planning that they would have to do to make this work, there's just no way. Yeah, it's hilarious. And then they always explain it to Sydney at the end and then she kills them. I love it. So yes, so now Ghost Face is in the house. And he's chasing SMG around.
Starting point is 00:24:06 She's a delight. Hard pass on the idea that she's outrunning him in those heels up the stairs, though. Well, this is from someone who has obviously not watched Buffy. I have not. Because she would be in full-blown combat in those heels. Really? Yeah, yeah. Good for her. I think she's a real delight.
Starting point is 00:24:19 I think you would love it because I think it is also think is also. It's yeah I mean don't read anything about Joss Sweden before. I do know. Yeah, yeah, okay. Yeah, maybe. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy Sarah Michelle Geller. It's true. It's true. And the rest of the cast is great. Yeah. All right. Your boy Anthony Head from Repo the genetic opresident. My boy. I realize I've been to that whole episode without mentioning the fact that he plays Giles on Buffy. Yeah, you love to talk about Buffy. I didn't bring it up once. Damn. That's because I was mad at that movie. Sorry everybody that got mad at us for being mad.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I like, did people get mad or do they just not understand? Yes. Okay. People really got mad. I don't think they got mad. I don't think anyone gets... I mean, you have to know that that's a certain cup of tea, you know, and it may not be ours. The best was that we got a lot of responses to that. There were people like, oh no, it's with this thing. Fair. And then other people like, no, I'm actually your age, Alan, and I loved it, and my 75-year-old father also loved it. No, he doesn't. He just says that because he doesn't know what else to talk to you about.
Starting point is 00:25:31 You're just destroying their familial bond. I don't mean that. They probably love each other. They don't, maybe other people have nice dads, just not us. If that, if your dad is willing to fake enjoying that movie for you, that's a good dad, that's a good dad. That's a good dad. That's a good dad. Anyway, Sarah Michelle Geller gets stabbed a couple times in the chest and then thrown off a balcony. Yeah, it's pretty great. that's really great. It's pretty great. that's pretty great. that's pretty great. that's pretty great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great great great great great great. that's great. that's great. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's great. that's that's their. their. their their their their their that's that's their that's that. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's great. It's really good. She might have the best death in the movie. I think so. I think that's why it's so scary, or was when I was 13. Sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's tense, too. I mean, say what you will about Westgraven, he does a good tense build-up to a kill. Yes, I feel like I just, in a recent episode said that. Yes, I feel like I just in a th, in a th, in a th, in a th, in a th, in a th, in a th, in a th, in a th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that, that, that's that's that's thi, thi, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, throoo''', thro'''a'a'a'a'a'er, thr-s, thr-s, thi, thi, is. I think it was wrong turn where I said that.
Starting point is 00:26:25 But like, I take it all back. But I think you might have not been able to deal with those people running around. That's probably it, yeah. There's just, I feel like the characters in this franchise are really lovable, you know? For sure. Yeah, yeah, andthat? This then cuts to a aerial shot of the campus which ever clear is playing over? And I thought hell
Starting point is 00:26:52 yeah. You might think that being a sorority is all about blow jobs. Right. Can I ask a question? What's harmonica style? Is that real? Should I just Google it? No. Is it a real thing? Let me ask this. Is it a real thing? I believe so, yes. Okay, hold on. What are you typing into your phone? Harmonica style? Okay. Okay. When a dick is too big to blow so you have to play it side to side. What in what world? Wait.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Wait. Ha to be. Thank you for googling that and not having me explain that to you. No, I feel like nobody could have explained it to me like urban dictionary. Yeah. Anyway. That is also a very funny scene? Today I learned.
Starting point is 00:27:54 What else is happening in that scene? Also, I should mention, uh, what is that woman's a murder? that woman's a murder. Yeah, she is. She did her time. She did her time. She did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she did, she didn, she didn, she did, she did, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, she didn't, he's like, woman's a murder. Yeah, she is. She did her time. She did her time. She did her time. She did a time.
Starting point is 00:28:11 There's a, uh, let's see. What do my notes say? The twist to notify the party? I don't even know what that means. So what else is happening in that scene where they're talking about Harmonica style? Is this where they're arguing about Star Wars? Because I wrote here, so Star Wars fans have always been like that. Oh yeah, when these like Empire Strikes Back is a better sequel, and Jamie Kennedy's like it's actually not a sequel? It's still a sequel and it's still better than the first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first first the first first first first the first first first the first the first first first the first the first the first first the first the first first the first the first first first the first first the first first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first the first th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. Oh. Oh. Oh. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. So th. So th. So thi. So thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. So, thi. it's the second movie and a trilogy. It's still a sequel and it's still better than the first movie. Is it better in the first movie?
Starting point is 00:28:48 Oh yeah, for sure. I've only really seen that first one. More adventure, more worlds, a little grittier. It's good. For some reason I just can't keep any part of the first one in my head. Yeah. They play red right hand again. Mm-hmm. The reprise, if you will. And the party gets broken up because they hear that something, there's sirens down at the Omega Beta Zeta House, and it's because CCC has been killed.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Right, right, right. So the party breaks up. Sydney goes back in for her jacket alone? Oh, that's what the note is, the Twits, which is what Jerry O'Connell refers to the girls that, maybe it's to be an all-a-thought, notify the party of something going on up at Omega, Bigga, Bigger, Bigga, Bigga. Bigga, Bigger, Bega, Bega.
Starting point is 00:29:35 So Sidney goes back in to get her jacket, and the phone when you don't live there. No one wants to pick up the phone even when they do live there. Walk away. If she had walked away, this whole thing would fall apart. Listen, little, little piece of advice out there. If you're at a party and the phone rings and you want to pick it up and answer, you pick it up, you fart into the receiver and you hang the phone back up and walk out of that house. I like that too. But no, she picks up the phone. Yeah. And who is it? It's the killer, of course. Obviously.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Why would Jerry O'Connell not have just come in with her to get her jacket knowing that that there's some sort of like crimes happening and that she's already, you know what I mean? the whole thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you, you, you, you, th. Yeah, you, you, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. It, th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. It's thi. It's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thii. thi. thi. thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi they set that up very early on. Oh yes, because it's always the boyfriend, right? So, oh I guess then in the fifth movie that's kind of a callback. Uh-huh. Okay, so we should have watched him in order but I don't care. He runs in and sort of rescues her and then when she comes back in he's been slashed across the forearm. Yes. He's going to lose that golf scholarship without injury.
Starting point is 00:30:51 He's a doctor. He's wearing polo shirts all the time. I presume he's golfing. I just kept thinking about his character from Cranardly Wait the whole time. Trip McNeely is the best. But someone's like pointing out the fact that he is a, a doctor, he's in pre-med, and the way he's been cut didn't sever anything in his arm, so it's very like tactical stabbing.
Starting point is 00:31:17 It's Timothy Oliphant. Yes. Oliphant? Oliphant, who's pointing that out? He also says the 90s is no time to play Hero. What does that mean? Also there's nothing about Timothy Oliphant that doesn't say I'm the killer. Yeah. He immediately is pointing in everyone else's direction, so you know. I still need you to watch the movie Go, which has him and it sits like from this era and it's an absolute delight of that
Starting point is 00:31:45 time period I think you really dig it. Is it an action movie or horror? No, no, no, it is neither. It's just like a 90s movie about going to a rave and doing a lot of drugs. Okay, I'll suspects the boyfriend of course? Of course. And we find out that Casey is C.C.'s real name. Right. So they have the names written on the board. You've got Maureen was Jadapinkett Smith's name and whatever.
Starting point is 00:32:19 And something Stevens. Yeah. Good thing they found a couple who fit two of the, uh, two of the murder victims from the first movie. Just kill somebody. Just all you have to do is murder somebody. It's so fucking planny. I love how plenty it is. Phil Stevens. This shit is mad Scooby-doo. Yes. It's like so over the top. Yes. So Sarah Michelle Geller is Casey. So that's three people, the first three kills from the first.. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. the thi. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thi. the. the th.. And yes, so Sarah Michelle Geller is Casey, so that's three people, the first three kills from the first movie, that we don't see Maureen get killed. She's dead as the movie begins. Exactly. Yes. Oh my god, they're making a sequel. Jamie Kennedy is losing his mind.
Starting point is 00:32:59 He has to lay out the rules of the sequel. Yeah. He doesn't call it a squeak-a. A squeak-wil. Like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like the like the like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the first the the first the the the first the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the first it a squeak will though. A squeak will? Squeakwool? Like the Alvin and the Chipmunk movie, the second one is a squeak who? How dare you? How dare you put that knowledge into my brain? I feel like I should be allowed to say whether I want to know something or not before you tell it to me. Katie I'm about to reveal what a squeak will is and harmonica style. Seriously two new things what have I lost? You took that harmonica style bullet yourself. I did no I know it was my choice. I did not give you a choice for squeakable. No. So he's laying this out for Dewey. He's explaining the sequel rules and Dewey. He's explaining the sequel rules. And Dewey is just not having it.
Starting point is 00:33:49 The new cameraman with Gail Weathers does not want to get killed? No, he's pretty delightful too, Joel. Yeah, I liked him. And then Katie, who the fuck shows up in this movie? Who? RIP? David Warner is the the theater professor. He shows up in one scene and one scene only.
Starting point is 00:34:10 And I still, I will say this every time, name me a movie that is worse for having David Warner in zero movies. Zero movies. Zero movies. He makes everything better. He's the only good thing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles too, Secret to Use. Think about how much better waxwork is because of the only good thing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, too, Secret of the Use. Think about how much better waxwork is because of it. Yes. And what a good red herring he is in the Omen?
Starting point is 00:34:30 Oh yeah. Oh yeah, yeah. I feel like we say the same things about David Warner every time we talk about David Warner, but fucking David Warner. RIP, theirtheater teacher that convinces Sydney to stay in the play. It is so fucking dangerous for him to do this. I feel like anybody should have intervened to be like, no no no actually don't because all these people are wearing masks and stabbing her! Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Although she looks amazing at her costume. She is a great Cassandra. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Though not really, if that is what I think it is, the Arrestia, which I think the part that she's doing is the one where Claydom Nester kills Agamemnon. Oh, I don't know. I'm not the star of that show, but it's fine. It's not a leading role. It's a leading role. I don't think it's the leading role. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Yeah. Is it Troilis and Cresida, the Shakespeare play? No, I think they're doing the Arrestia. Okay. There's like a three-part tragedy. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thia. thia. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's like. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the. the. th. th-part tragedy. Okay. Yeah. Gotcha. I thought it was some Shakespeare shit. They would have really been doing a bad job of Shakespeare. Anyway, Jerry, she tries to break up with Jerry O'Connell. He won't take it. He gives her his frat letters after singing I Think I Love You. Which I would literally grot a man for doing that to me in public like that. So embarrassing. I don't want everyone to look at me.
Starting point is 00:36:07 How do you not know that Timothy Oliphant is the murderer when he's cheering that on? Everyone's cheering it on though everyone could be the murderer. Yeah, but he's doing these real weird hip gyrations that literally let you know that he's going to say, I'm sorry that I skimmed over this, but when you were talking about how Jamie Kennedy is explaining the sequel and they're talking about the stab movie, and they say that David Swimmer was cast in the Dewey role, I thought that was so funny and such a good casting. I love how many friends cast members are being mentioned in this movie.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Yeah, yeah. It's amazing how many fucking people are in this movie and referenced in this movie and... Like in the next scene we're seeing part of Stab and I was like, oh my god it really is Luke Wilson. Like what is happening? Tori Spelling is here. They're all here. It's so fucking good. I feel like she's a very poor casting for Sidney. Oh yeah, I think that's kind of the joke though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:13 And also that Luke Wilson is really good at acting bad. Yeah. Yeah, being a shitty all Rick. Yeah, thi thii to the thi, ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, th, th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th. thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that, th. that, that, th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th first movie I think we decided for sure. Yeah It's probably we don't hear a lot about skeet all-rick and skid all-rick movies. No, no, no No. Let's skeet, it's a weird name. Yeah, your name's probably Brian. Like let's be real. What do you think his real name is? What's let's guess? Steve all right for Skeetter? Steve Steve? Steve? Steve? Steve? Steve Ulrich? No, it's gotta be Skeed. That's his real name. It's short for Skeeter.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Brian Ray Trout. Skeet! I must have known that his name was Brian. Because I don't think I just came up with that. He gets off Brian vibes. Yeah. Yeah, he's a real Brian. Oh, we have the same birthday. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Don't. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. to. to. to. to. too. toe. too. Starting point is 00:38:07 It's not the same year, it's fine. He's a lot older than me. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. You're just a young little baby. Oh baby. Sure. Is he my age? Uh, he was born in 1970, so he's old. Oh wow. He's even older than me. Yeah. Which is crazy that they made him look like like th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th. It's th. It's not th. It's not th. It's thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. Yeah, which is crazy that they made him look like a fucking teenager in the most reason movie. That was rough. That was tough. It was tough. Tough going. I like with the Dewey asks Jamie Kennedy when Gail started smoking and he's like oh around the time of those nude pictures on the internet and Cornycock says it was just my head it was Jennifer Aniston's body. I didn't even catch that. I thought that was really funny. Oh, that's really funny. Yeah. So they get a- Is this when they have the meat cute? Or is that, uh,
Starting point is 00:38:53 Gail and Dewey, no, that's later. Sorry, I've jumped ahead, I've jumped ahead in my notes. This is when they get a call on her cell phone and it's the killer. Where Randy is talking to him. Right. Yeah. And he, the killer asks him what his favorite scary movie is and he says show girls. We should probably do that on the action movie podcast. Is it an action movie now? Can we do it for our romcom this year? I don't know if I can sit through that movie again but yes, yes I will do it. No, no I'm picking one this year? No don't know if I can sit through that movie again but yes yes I will do it. No I'm no I'm picking one this year. And then he starts like making fun of the killer about how he's doing these college murders and he says oh what is this did you is that you try to do house on sorority row? Yeah
Starting point is 00:39:39 What's the movie we did last week and I was like college college movies! I'm so smart. Thanks for putting that together for me, Jamie Kennedy. And then the killer says to him, you'll never get to be the leading man. And he's so mad about that. And then I thought, boy, he really didn't get to be the leading man, did he? No. No. No. Did he? Was he in love with Sydney in the last movie? Yeah, okay. I don't remember nothing about that movie. I feel like it's not as explicit, but you can kind of tell. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Okay. Is this when Leav Shriver shows up? I'm sorry, Cotton Weary shows up and- What does that mean? It's such a fucking like witch trial. It really is. He shows up and says that Diane Sawyer wants to have them on the show, so he really wants her to go on the show to be on Diane Sawyer? Right, that's when they're in the library.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Right now, Jamie Kennedy is, they're trying to find who has a cell phone because not many people have cell phones to see who's because they can see them. That's right. So Dewey and Gail and Gail and Gail and Gail and Gail their they are their they are their they are their they are their their they's th. thine thine thine thine thine thine is thine is thine is thine is thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to to to to to to to to to to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go to go to go to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to go. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. I. I. I. I is th. I. I is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th because they can see them. That's right. So Dewey and Gale are running around while Jamie Kennedy heads back towards the news van. Right. And then he's leaning against the van. Right. And where's the killer? Uh, probably in the van. In the van.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Yeah. Did you think it was Joel at this point? Is Joel the van. It's very loud and the whole van is shaking, but then these guys just walk by with a boombox playing hip hop, which just seems to cover the sounds of murder. Oh boy. I like when the cameraman's like,
Starting point is 00:41:17 who runs up to the window? Who broke my window? There's blood all over the window. I also like that there's that shot of the blood dripping out the car door. I thought that was nice. And then the cameraman shows up and he's holding a big box of Dunkin' Donuts. And in the previous scene they were drinking drinks from Baskin Robbins. You guys got a fucking sponsorship for this? That first movie means so much money.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Yeah, you can always get more money. Anyway, th and the Yeah, yeah, yeah, and the cameraman passes out when he sees Randy. Yeah. Mm-hmm. So now Sydney's in the library. Gotcha. And she has these two like FBI agents following her around to keep her safe. It's very, it's very stupid. And her computer locks up. Yeah. And the guy next here is like, uh, uh, probably got an instant messenger-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-a-f-a-a-s. Yeah, to-s. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, to-s. Yeah, to-s. Yeah, to-s. Yeah, to-s. Yeah, to-s. Yeah, to-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s. Yeah, th-s is like, oh, uh, probably got an instant messenger message. You just got to hit Alt 1F4 to get it to open. Man, instant messaging was really the highlight of my 1998, though. Oh man, Katie's probably pretty stoked. I love IMing. I'm bummed that we don't get to I AM anymore.
Starting point is 00:42:19 It's like texting I guess, huh? Yeah, yeah. You can't just go to chat rooms though and meet strangers and do it though? I think you can still do that. Oh, okay. I'm sure. There's like chats on Reddit. You can meet all kinds of strangers. Welcome to my world. Oh, God. That movie's the only thing I think of when I think of... Oh, right. Because it's, they're using AOL instant messenger. That's right. That's right. The instant message says, you are going to die tonight. And then she looks around at the police, and he says, the police can't save you. But like, why is Cotton Weary just lingering around campus? Like, it's not okay that he's just in a computer lab in a library. You don't know. And no one seems to think that's, he's wearing a Windsor College hoodie.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Why? Are you trying to fit in? Absolutely very funny. But this is where he does the Diane Sawyer thing. Yeah, yeah, and then the cops arrest him. Well, he says to her something about, yeah, we'll get paid, not to mention what's doing phone sex? I think he is. Is that a joke about Lee of Shriver's voice?
Starting point is 00:43:28 I guess. He's a sexy voice. I guess so. If I didn't have to look at him, I might think he was sexy. Exactly. That's why the phone number works. Why is one of the cops not watching her? Hmm? Anyway, they arrest, they they they they they they they they arrest. they they arrest. they arrest. they arrest. they they arrest. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're the the the they're their. they're they're they're they're they they they they're. the the they the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they they they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're the the the. the. thease. theat. theat. theat. theat. theat. theat. thi theat. thi. the thi. thi. thi. th meet the cop that's like, oh yeah, there's a curfew on campus now,
Starting point is 00:43:46 and I look like a skeleton. He calls it a lock-in. And I was like, ooh, a lock-in. I've done that movie? Yeah. Oh, and then Gail and do you go into the footage that Joel has been shooting. And then Gail and do you think about looking at all of the footage that Joel has been. the the the seeee the se the se the se the se the se the se the se the se the se the se the the the the the the the the the the the theateateate like like like like like theatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheat. the the the like like like like like like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like the like like the like like the like like like the like the like like toe like the like the like theate like the like the like to look for somebody in a crowd shot? You're a cop to me, why didn't you think about looking at all of the footage that Joel has been shooting? I don't want you to take this as disparaging? Yeah, do he's a
Starting point is 00:44:10 shit cop. He's a shit cop. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Maybe. Gail says something about the today. Yeah, maybe that's why he's a bad the movie. Ga. Ga. Ga. Ga. Yeah. Ga. Yeah. Yeah. Ga. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ga. Yeah. Ga. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ga. Yeah. Yeah. Ga. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ga. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why that's why. Yeah, that's why. And I just like paused to the movie and had this moment of like, what would it feel like? Who knows? To not feel bad about everything. I have no idea. I would love that. I think that would be really good for me to become a sociopath. Yeah. Oh no, I can see that in your future.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Yeah. Yeah, I want this for you, Katie. Thank you. So they fuck on the stage or start to fuck. Start to fuck. Pre-Fuck. Pre-Fuck. But like really why does he like Gail Weathers? It's beautiful? Yeah, all right. And there's something very attractive about somebody who really knows what they want and are like super assertive and a little scary. I strongly disagree with that. Okay, okay. As my own personality type.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Yeah. I don't need a man tell me what to do. Sure. Yeah. Dunn, don't, don't do what the tumjo? Doe, da, da, da, da, da. Speaking of range against the tumja. Oh, speaking of Rage Against the Machine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:28 Please tell you've seen the video of Guy Fiatty at the Rage Against the Machine concert. He's been following them on tour. I love him. Huge fan, and there's a video of him. They're, I think they're doing bulls-on parade. And he's like finger-pointing and wetting a cigar while he's standing at a crowd full of people and like you're gonna smoke that cigar and a crowd full of people, huh? Hi, Gaffietti? No, he's a good dude.
Starting point is 00:45:53 I like Guy Piedy. Wearing a leather button down to it. Just so sweaty. A meme that I really, really like is I saw it on Groundhogs, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th, I, it on Groundhog's Day. It was the person holding up the Groundhog, but instead of the Groundhog's head, it was Guy Fieti's head, and it's six more weeks of flavor. I highly recommend everybody Google Shane Torres, Guy Fieri joke.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Okay. Because he does, he does up a bit, I think it was on Conan. Okay. About how, I don't know why everybody's mad at Guy Fied. He, he. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. I a bit, I think it was on Conan, about how, I don't know why everybody's mad at Guy Fiatty, he just seems to be a man who's out here living his dreams. I so strongly agree with that. I think he's also very charitable. He is very charitable, but I also like that with him, joe he's like, yeah, I don't want to hang out with him either, but he seems like he's doing what he wants to do..... yeah. yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's. He's. He's. He. No. We're just like, what the fuck? It's because we're all jealous.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Right, that's the same thing with like I want to be a sociopath. Exactly. It's because I'm unhappy. Because I feel bad. Anyway, fucking when there, the horror movies, being scared, it makes it according to horror movies being scared makes your horny. I cannot imagine them. But of course the killer comes in. Yeah yeah and of course somehow Timothy Oliphon is implicated again before the killer comes in. Is he in the crowd shot that they're looking through? I think he is. Yeah. But I also don't think they think that's that weird do they? Oh I think he's just implicated to us the. The the. the. the the. the the. the the. the the. the the. the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. tol. te. the. te. the. the. the. the they think that's that weird, do they? Oh, I think he's just implicated to us, the watcher at home. Sure, sure. Do you like gale belly diving over the desk to get away from the gillard.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Fresh out of give a fuck. And then I thought, why do they never carry weapons? Why doesn't he have his cop gun? That's, I know, you're not allowed to take to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their. their, their. their, their. their, their. their. When she jumps over the desk, it was like, damn, Gail Wheeler's is physically fit. She sure is. I mean, it shows. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:56 I would have tried that, or Dewey's in a soundproof room, one of them is, on the other side of... And he's trying to get her attention. Right, and she can't hear him. And then the killer comes up behind him, and straight murders him. Streamworks, Dewey. We always think Dewey's gonna die. Yeah until he actually did. And then we were like, hey hey, doing that. Stop killing Dewey. Oh, spoilers for Scream 5. Well, it's true. These people could be listening to these in order. Weirdos. Take that out. But it is really sad when Gail watches him because they were just ready to bone and now she has to watch him die. And because they have such chemistry, you're like believe in it a little bit, you know. Because were they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they their their their their their their their their their their their to to to to to??? Oh? Oh? Oh? to to to to to to their. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh? their. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. th. th. their. th. their. their. their. their. Oh. their. th. th. th. th. Oh. th. th. th. th. th. Oh. their. their. their their their their their their their their their to. S. S. S. S. their. S. their. S. S. to. S. to. to. S. S. their. S. their. S. S. S. S. now she has to watch them die. And because they have such chemistry you're like, believe in it a little bit, you know? Because were they married at this point? They were certainly together. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Yeah. Okay. Ugh. Ah, those crazy kids. They still had great chemistry in the movie so I will just not. So we cut to the cops taking Sydney away? Yes. Okay, that's the next note that I have. Well, okay, so we see Derek, which is Jerry O'Connell,
Starting point is 00:49:16 his fraternity kidnaps him. Right, because he gave away his letters and he's never supposed to do that. So they have to sexy taunt him and carve letters into his chest. Is it lipstick? Is the c the cops the cops the cops the cops the cops the cops the cops they th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. tip? tip. tip. tiped tiped tiped tiped tiped tiped the the the th. Yes. Yes. Yes. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. I. I. t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t, so now they have to sexy taunt him and carve letters into his chest. Do they, is it lipstick or did they carve it in there? They carved it in there. Brutal, that's assault. Because Portia Dorossi and Rebecca Gahard are also carving it into his chest.
Starting point is 00:49:35 Oh yeah, they're like, to Troy, we march. Mm-hmm. Yeah. They're also pouring cold beers through a beer bong onto his dick, which I thought was a real waste of beers. Talents just shrugging. You gotta water that hog sometimes, you know what I mean? Is that what water the hog means? That's not a phrase! Well, you never do know, do you? You never do know, do you?
Starting point is 00:50:05 I'm sure it's on urban dictionary, uh, now. When you wet, Jerry, you have coddle's dick with beer, aka water and the hulk. Anyway, I just think it's a waste. So, but yes, so Sydney and her roommate,ie, are in the back of a cop car. Right. And Hallie's like, where are you taking us? And the cop turns around and says, if we tell you, if we tell you, we'll have to kill you.
Starting point is 00:50:35 And may I? Then goes, ha ha? To the girl who's being stocked, and a bunched, been murdered. Who's taking her away so she doesn't get murdered. Right. You want a murder joke right now? You need a little Merck joke? And then the other one turns around and goes, don't ask, don't tell, which is supposed to be funny because Sidney has suspected that he's gay. It's not a funny joke. the car from like police school, don't you think? Yeah, I've seen the Police Academy films and I would know not to do that.
Starting point is 00:51:08 I learned a lot of things from the Police Academy films. We should start a podcast where we listen to all the Police Academy movies in order. I can't imagine how offensive it was. Oh God, it was terrible. It's like when you watch an airplane now and you're like, oh shit, you know. You know that when you said that, the boobs popped into my head. I know. It's like my little boy brain. She's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Titties! So the killer kills the cops. Yep. Runs one of them over and like smushes him into a. The cop gets on the hood and they drive for a little bit and he slams into a pipe which goes through the cop's head through the windshield and through the little screen between Sydney and the front scene.
Starting point is 00:51:54 That is a thing that always scares me when I'm driving behind, like a truck that has lumber on it or something, especially from after seeing the descent. I'm very like, I will die. I had somebody honky at me the other day because I was following a rickety-ass box truck that had its back open that was filled with wooden pallets. And I'm like, yeah, I'm gonna let that go ahead. Yeah, you're gonna give that one some lead time.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Yeah. So in this collision, the killer gets knocked out of the many times someone could pull off the mask and doesn't. Why won't her friend let her pull off the mask and see who the murder is? I don't know. Get out of the car, shut the door, take the mask off. Right, right. Or just murder them. Just choke them to death with your bare hands and then pull off the mask. Oh, she does have bear the tha hands like a, bear. Why do you? Bear? Like a bear?
Starting point is 00:52:45 Who has a hand like a bear? You said you had bears. Oh my God. What? Oh, it's been a while. So she climbs, Sidney climbs through the front seat, out the window, across the body, which is a very tense scene, I like it quite a bit. And then she goes to honk the horn with her butt. No, but she does honk at once and it doesn't wake him up.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Yeah. She climbs out of the car, tries to open the back door and can't is locked. Pull the keys out of the ignition maybe and use them to unlock. Like there has to be a going to wake up and kill her. No, she gets out. She gets out. Yep. And then she goes back to look and see who the killer is. She just has to know.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Well, yes. But the killer's gone. Of course he's gone. Surprising this hall. Of course he's gone. Of course he's gone. Of course he's fault. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. For sure. And then we see Liam Shriver with blood on his hands? Yes, because he tells Gail
Starting point is 00:53:59 that he found Dewey and tried to help him. Okay. But now of course she thinks he's the killer and we're supposed to too. Gotcha. Yeah. And the yep. And th. And th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. he. Yes. he. Yes. he. he. he. th. he. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. th. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th and tried to help him. Okay. But now, of course, she thinks he's the killer and we're supposed to too. Gotcha. Yep, yep, yep. And Sidney gets back to campus and goes to the theater department and finds Jerry O'Connell like strung up? Why does she go to the theater department? Well, it's her safe space. Okay. I don't know. To get that braid wig to put around her hair. They really left him like that. They like really left him tacked like Jesus Christ superstarred to a crucifix basically. That's a stage
Starting point is 00:54:36 prop that can move up and down. I really enjoyed this part of the movie when Timothy Ollifant reveals that he is ghostface and that his partner in crime has been strung up on a crucifix and hasn't been able to help him. Yes, yeah, he just throws Derek right under the bus. It's so funny. Also like, he had to know that the fraternity brother's punishment for Jerry O'Connell was going to be.
Starting point is 00:55:05 Like, what? Okay. But he shoots Derek and kills him. He does, and then he's like, eh, he was innocent, which I liked a lot. And then he does the most in 90s thing ever, where he starts talking about why he did it. What is it? Tell me all about his motive. Oh, I didn't th th down. What happened? He is going to blame the movies and have a trial. He's going to get Alan Dershawitz, Barf City, to defend him. And Johnny Cochran too. All right. He's not Barf City, is he? He's all right? Okay, I don't know. Not as barfee as Dersherwitz anyway.
Starting point is 00:55:45 Yeah. It's just so like mid to late 90s to be like, I'm gonna blame it on movies and I'm gonna have a big trial. The Christian Coalition will pay my legal fees. So weird. Yeah. Such a weird. Again, just do a murder, but he's, he's, he's, he can't just do a murder. I mean, don't, don't do a murder.
Starting point is 00:56:05 No, wait, actually, yeah, strike it, reverse it. But if you're gotta, and then the reveal of who his partner actually is. Okay, but first I just want to say that I think he's doing such a great psycho killer in the scene. Oh, he's really enjoying his performance. I think he's a tha. I tha. I tha. I's a tha. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thi. I's a thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I'm thi. I'm really thi. I'm really thi. I'm really thi. I'm really thi. toeeea. toea. toeea. toea. toea. toea. thiii. thi. thi. thi. thi. as being a big honka honka. There you go. Who's his partner? Laurie Metcalf? Lori Metcalf! Mrs. Lumas!
Starting point is 00:56:33 How did Sidney go the entire movie without seeing and recognizing Mrs. Lumas? Because she recognizes her right away when she walks in. That lady's been all up Gail Weathers' butt. How would Gail Weathers not know this woman? She says, I've seen photos of you. Right, but now she's 60 pounds lighter. And a whole lot of work. Yes.
Starting point is 00:56:53 But Sidney recognizes her. Yes, yes. It doesn't make a lick of sense. No, no, no. And we find that she they've they they they they they they they they they they've met in a chat room about serial killers. Right, which is basically the plot to the fifth movie, right? Isn't that how? They did need it in a, they met on like a sub-bredd. Or something, yes, oh my god, you're right.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Maybe I didn't give the fifth movie enough credit. No, too late now. And she's paying him because he says tuition is just getting more expensive or something like that. And then she kills him and says my motive isn't as 90s as Mickey's and you're like, I just said that. This movie is phenomenally self-aware. And she's killing it. I was, she's so good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's a real David Warner type. What doesn't she make better by being in? So strongly agree. Yeah. She says to either Sydney or Gail. I can't remember. It's not wise to patronize a woman with a gun. Which I thought was great. And then she shoots Gale. And then she shoots Gale who falls off the stage. It falls off the stage. Yeah. And then. Oh. styrofoam on Lori Matt Cat? Yeah, like, the implication was that it was built out of real rock at first
Starting point is 00:58:09 because that would fucking collapse the stage. So, then I wrote, no, okay, it's foam. So why don't you, why did you think, okay, wait, never mind, I just can't. And earlier in the movie, when Sidney is performing in the dry run of the play, we see some of the bricks fall and they're like, ooh, those could have fallen on her? Yeah. There's styrofoam blocks, it's fine. It's fine. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:58:36 You can throw those on my fucking face right now. Please drop a styrofoam right now and see if I give a fuck. When Lori Metcalfe gets hit hit hit hit hit th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, tho, th, thi, thi, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thri, thri. thriiiiiiiiiiiiiolioli. thriolioli. We's thi, thi, thi, thi, th fuck. When Lori Mecalf gets hit with all that sirefoam and falls, she screams like a Jaguar. Yes, I mean it seems like it's real rock. Sidney's just doing all the stagework of throwing levers and making streamers and smoke go and you're like, all right. Dropping some lights on her, which have to be so expensive. After Lori Mecalf screams like a Jaguar, my next nope is, we have Schreiber shows back up. Yeah, caught and weary with the gun. And so the cops are blaming him, they want to arrest him? Yes, because he had blood, Dewey's blood all over him.
Starting point is 00:59:14 Okay, okay, and he makes a deal with... And he was threatening Sydney in the library. Oh, that's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. that's right. th. that's right. the that's right. the th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. th. the th. th. the th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. that's. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. the.'s like, do the Diane Sawyer interview. Right, because she, uh, Laurie Metcalf, Debbie Salt, yeah, of the post-telegraph, is trying to sell cotton on letting her kill Sidney so he can be the sole survivor, the star of the show, the final girl. Right, right, right. And he likes that idea. He's into that idea. But then he shoots Lori Metcalfe when when when the thcalfe hea when hea. hea. he. he. he. he. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's thi. He's thi. He's thi. thi. toge. toge. toge. toge. toge. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toge. toge. then he shoots Lori Medcalf when she, when Sidney agrees to do Diane Sawyer. Which is like, it takes her a long time to agree to it. Wouldn't you just be like, yes, God, yes, whatever you want. Definitely not going to do it later. And so she, they find Gail, yeah, Gale just sort of pops up and he goes, Jesus, Gail, you scared the crap out of me, which I really liked. And she's like, let's make sure this woman's really dead because they always pop back up. Q. Timothy Oliphant popping back up.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Screaming just as Skeet O'Rei Trout did in the first movie. So funny. They shoot him. They shoot him. And then Neff Campbell shoots Lori Metcalf in the forehead and says, just in case. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the the the him. They shoot him. And then Neff Campbell shoots Lori Metcalf in the forehead and says, just in case. Yeah. Yeah. And we think Dewey's dead, but... He's not dead. He's not dead. And Gail comes to her senses and rides in the ambulance to the hospital with him. Instead of scooping the story. Scooping. This is how we know she's committed to dowey. And then she tells the press that Sid, or that uh, Sidney tells the press that Cotton is the real hero. And he loves it.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Mm-hmm. And crane shot of campus is Sidney walks somewhere. With a terrible song playing. I don't know what you, please, give me your rating of Scritum? I think I'd like to hear your rating first if that's okay. This is my favorite scream movie. Really? Yeah, yeah. More than the first one. Oh yeah, yeah. I think it's much more memorable than the first one. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:19 And it's like, feeling itself. Yeah. that I I that I that I really enjoyed. I enjoy the cast a lot. I'm gonna give this an eight. Wow! Did anyone see that coming? Nobody did? Nobody did. Somebody just shited themselves when I said that. Somebody did. It was me. I just shitted myself. Sorry. That's your couch. So it's for so it's way too long. Sure. It's two hours which for a movie made in 1997 is way too fucking long. Yeah, that's an epic.
Starting point is 01:01:48 I loved it so much as a teenager. And I don't think I've seen it since maybe college, high school or college. So I was going into it expecting to be humbled by my enjoyment of it. And I was not. And for that, I'm going to give it an 8-2. I liked it a lot. Excellent. Yes. And these college movies are really doing it for you.
Starting point is 01:02:12 Should we do another college movie? We should. But let's make them wait. Before that, we've got some mail. Somebody else sent something to my house. Alan, we'll give you his address. What is it? Who's it from? This is from? Doot, doo-doo-doot, doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-d. Addie, I, from Dallas, Texas.

Yeah, should we do another college movie? Uh, that's what we told when we do. I like that we both picked up our phones and unlocked them because neither of us had any idea what we chose.
