Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 397- Saw II (2005)

Episode Date: September 26, 2022

In this week's episode, we're (foolishly) returning to a film franchise in which we (wisely) covered one film and then turned and ran: it's the 2005 sequel "Saw II." Guh. Special topics for your consi...deration include: elaborately-timed plans of absolute stupidity, utterly confusing motivations, wearing your dad's suit to work, two very divergent meanings of the phrase "Jesus show girl," and the possibility that these films are not just torture porn but in fact torture for the viewer. No Cary Elwes in this one, but you can catch him in "Saw," Episode 81. And, screw it, he's also in Episode 76- "????" which is actually just "Days of Thunder," a fantastic film. I wish Cary Elwes had been in this piece of shit.  Hey, give us a call and leave us a voicemail! You can call 412-407-7025 and let us hear your sweet sweet voices. Starting point is 00:00:00 Kee, Keelein'n'a'n'a'n'r-cc'r'e'n'r'lain. Holy bar, Kainey. I gotta get a news alert from you. Roland Blackburn's book is 17 names for skin. I am so excited to read this. It's a collection of short stories and he wrote little inscriptions for us and he signed it our Blackburn EMT and I have to be real honest with you Roland. I honestly started to cry a little bit because that really like it just means a lot to me. I love that a note for me it says thunder in the cemetery. Yeah. So a note that starts off with thunder thunder thunder thunder thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in thunder in just means a lot to me. I love that a note for me, it says Thunder in the Cemetery. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:46 So a note that starts off with Salt Thunder in the Cemetery can then lead to you being almost in tears? That's a beautiful, that is the sign of a fantastic writer. Thank you so sweet. Alan stop giving out your home address. Listen to to the P. A. But as I said, get in toucest, if you want to mail stuff, I will ask you a question. Alan vets you to make sure you can have his home address. Are you a creep Roland, thank you so much. Starting point is 00:01:25 Thank you so much. So yeah, if you want to mail this stuff, get in touch, you'll get vetted. Or just come over to Allen's house and say hi, he's just here, he lives here. He'll give you his fucking address. Sorry. Come on by. Oh, Katie, what the fuck are we talking about this week? Well, I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I the fuck are we talking about this week? Well, I had said to you, maybe let's do another Saw movie,
Starting point is 00:01:47 because there's so many of them. And I said, you can choose two through eight, and you chose two. Yeah. We're doing Saw two. Do you think there was a thea tha. the tha had watched and this one that no one had like told me about?
Starting point is 00:02:08 Do you think that movie was hidden somewhere in Donnie Wahlberg's oversized suit? All right, fucking Donnie Walberg, though. Donald Walberg. Let's get into Donny Walberg. Yeah. I don't like Donny Walbur. No, why would you? Okay, fair. Thank goodness. Because I was thinking about how when we did the Sixth Sense, we realized that that he's at the beginning of that movie, he's like the person who's having the breakdown. We didn't know it was Donny Walberg and we were so surprised it was Donny Walberg, and we were like, oh, he's better than his brother. Yeah. And now I'm sure he is, but I just like watching Donnie Walburg do
Starting point is 00:02:45 anything is just so like aggravating. I think when like Donny Walburg is also in band of brothers, okay, and he's fine in that but I think like when he's in the sixth sense or band of brothers and he's in a thing that's way better than he actually is, he seems elevated, but when you put him in a movie, like, I don't know, saw two. You get to see what Donnie Walper is really all about about it. Oh God. Like, he should have stopped with the new kids.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Sure, sure. Sure, and before he started rapping at the new kids. Right. Yeah. When it was just Donnie, Joey, Jordan and Jonathan. Right. Mm-hmm. It was always always th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho, I tho-I tho-I tho-I tho- I tho- I tho I tho I tho I tho I tho I tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho th th. I I th th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I tho. I tho. I thooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. S. S so so so Joey, Jordan, and Jonathan. Right. Yeah. I mean, it was always them, but like, he wasn't the... Even back then, I was like, he's the old guy, isn't he? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:32 He had to have been like 19 at the time. Because Donnie Wahlberg in this movie is younger than I am now. Wasn't he fall through the No Kids concerts. I don't know, but I love that. I think there was a trap drawer accident where he fell through the stage. I need that to be true. I need a montage of that. Kelsey Grammer falling off the stage. Oh lord! Sorry.
Starting point is 00:03:57 I'm drunk from last episode, it's fine. And the woman newscaster who's crushing grapes and falls off the thing. Oh that one upsets me because it looks like it really fucking hurts. I just love the nose. Ah! Ah! Ah! You gotta get on Reddit and you gotta follow a subreddic called Perfectly Cut Screams, which I think is really gonna bring a lot of joy to your life. It's gonna get you out of bed in the morning. Anyway, I watch this movie on Peacock and as you know, I love to... I'm sorry, what app did you watch? Pagoc. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I like even when you texted me about it, because there are four versions of Saw-Two when I searched on Myroku and I had to ask Alan which one he'd watched of the four, which it turned out to be none of them. I like cataloging my ads that I get on Peacock, Peacock, so this time I got a pubic hair razor specifically for pubic hair. And it had- Like a manscape thing? No, a woman'scape thing? Oh, okay. There was a woman in the ad. She's shaving her pubes while wearing underwear and I to shave pub. It's not the one with the anthropomorphic cartoon pubic hair. No, that one is very upsetting to me.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I have not seen that and that's weird. And the other ad that I got was for a documentary about coronavirus on cruise ships and I was like, who was watching this? None of us are ready for that yet. Seriously! All right. Sot to. I that. I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that that that that that that that that that that is that is that is that is that is that is that is that one is that is that was that was that was that was that was that one is that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was that was. That was. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, ready for that yet. Seriously! All right, I saw too. I only keep saying Pecocock because we got a message. I think it was on Instagram from a listener that said, Help, I can't stop saying Pocock. Take that, Pocock. We also got a message from someone asking us if we could list where all the movies that we watch are found. And I was like, yeah, we could, but Google.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Yeah, I mean, we could, but like we're so shitty at social media. Yeah, we're doing the barest of minimums here. I mean, and even that is really bare. So like, if you, I know, we had advertised for an intern in years past, but we got somebody who wanted to take us up on it. We were like, no, we don't want to do that It was lovely and we should have let her yeah, we were like, I don't know that's hard to do So we are back in the Lee Wanel universe Sautu saw two saw to my first note can't believe we're going back to this well I've seen this movie before no. Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, I see several of the sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa sa I the th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. we's wea' wea' wea' wea' wea' th. wea' th. We're like, I th. We're like, I that's like, I th. We're thatthis movie before. No! Fudge! I've seen several of the saws. Really, I didn't realize I wouldn't have taken you for a sawer. I'm not, but I watched someone on demand when I didn't have a child and could just do whatever I wanted with my time.
Starting point is 00:06:34 And time was... Weed is a hell of a drug. That's it. Weed is a hell of a drug. This movie opens with like a point of view of someone looking th. and having a dumb device on their neck with a black Sunday mask. So it's just it's the last movie again, right? It's the last movie but with more exposition on why they're like the wise of it, which look, I know we didn't like the first one. But it's a fine enough conceit of like a person kidnapping bad people and making them make hard choices. Sure, yeah. Fine. But this is bonkers in the worst possible way. The fact that there is a twisted morality to this thing is so annoying. Yeah. And it doesn't, it's that thing of,
Starting point is 00:07:28 I know that this gets on your nerve sometimes, like when things don't adhere to their own logic. Exactly. And this movie wildly does not adhere to its own logic. And it has this sort of like villain with Gravitas, who has this philosophy, but his philosophy makes no sense. He contradicts it at many points. And, it, and it, and it, and it, and it, and it, and it, and it, and it, it, it, and it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it's th, it's th, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it's thi, it's thi, I's thi, thi, thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi, I's thi, I's thi, I's thi, it's thi, it's this philosophy, but his philosophy makes no sense. He contradicts it at many points and he's telling you about it like a college boyfriend who just watched Fight Club for the first time.
Starting point is 00:07:54 And you're like, I can't believe I have to watch that. Like, I'm not a person who thinks very highly of myself. You know me a long time. I deserve better than this movie. Katie, do you want me to anger a lot of people right now? Jigsaal is Jordan Peterson. Oh fuck! He's... You know, that is like a, it's an evolution, isn't it? They're on the same scale. He's a fucked-up moral compass that just goes wherever it wants, Willie and Millie.
Starting point is 00:08:27 He's a white man who has felt pain and now needs to inflict pain on others. Yeah, that's all it is. And he's like such a fucking, eight movies! How many movies have I gotten? How many have I written? It's true. You thin, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thii? thi? thi? thi? thi? thi. thi? thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. the the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiiiiiiii. thiii. thiii. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. It's's true. It's true. You think Jinks I wrote this? I do think that he and his little like tricycle riding doll made Mr. Spirit Halloween store a fucking billionaire.
Starting point is 00:08:53 For sure. How did you see after the Queen died, somebody just photoshopped a spirit Halloween thing on Buckingham Palace? No one. I love Spiore Halloween stores popping up on the corpses of other businesses. Listen, the internet has a lot of problems. But every once in a while it delivers you a piece of fucking gold that you just have to make a beautiful necklace out of. I so strongly agree. That's really good. So this guy wakes up with the Black Sunday mask attached to his body that's on a springloaded-lo.. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. I. I. I th. I th. I th. I th. I thoing-up. I tho. I thoing-up. I thoing-up. I tho tho tho to to toooooooo too-Suuucoo-Sucoo-s. I to' to' tho tho tho tho. I tho. So this guy wakes up with the Black Sunday mask attached to his body that's on a spring-loaded
Starting point is 00:09:26 timer. And Jigsaw's like, hey, yeah, put a key in your eye. Well, so he's in his underpants and I thought, did Jigsaw take his pants off? Because let this man have some form. Why did he take his pants off? Jixal's a dirty boy. So what's setting that he wakes up in his underwear? He's like, you're, the neck thing is on a timer, but the timer isn't running yet. Do the Jigsaw voice. I have, give you?
Starting point is 00:09:55 Mike. It's me, Jigsaw. Hello. I forgot we were meeting today and I've scheduled over this. Could we possibly rescheduled a Tuesday? I have a meeting with Donald Wahlberg later. He's talking about how this guy was a police informant. Yeah, he's snitch. That's like, I mean, if the things, like, yes, snitches get stitches.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Yeah, universally. Yeah. But like, why does Jigsaw care if he's taking, I'm going, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thi, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, could, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. to, to, to, to, to. to. to. to. to. to. to. does Jigsaw care if he's taking, I'm going to put in my finger quotes of scariest quotes, bad people off the street. Why does this guy have to die? Again, moral compass, it's just fucking spinning like it's blabbety. The thing is that they could have set this up that it's just like all these people were shitty people who did shitty things and that's it. Yeah. And they kill them. Fine. But don't like bring morally ambiguity into it. Well like the woman who we find out, yeah, spoiler alert, is Jigsaw's acolite? Yeah, that haircut though. He made her get that because it looks terrible. What's her name? Shawnee? Shani Smy Smy Smymy Smy Smy Smy S. Sh- S. Sh- S. Sh- S. Sh- S. Sh- S. Sh- S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S.ing to say that Megan the Stallion is not Megan the the Stallion because she got two E's in a middle name.
Starting point is 00:11:08 I always say Megan the East, too. Yeah, it's fine. So... Her middle name. Shoney Smith, her big crime that he was punishing her for is having a drug addiction. Yes, and then later being suicidal, which is like, what? But seemingly egging her on with these suicidal tendencies? Unbelievable. When all she wanted was a Pepsi.
Starting point is 00:11:37 What does that even mean? Are you not familiar with the song institutionalized by suicidal tendencies? Oh yes, okay, all right. Forgive me. I forgive you. I have a Pavlovian response to suicidal tendencies. Oh God. Guy, he's got a fucked up eye. Yeah. He's a mirror that he can see his fucked up eye.
Starting point is 00:11:57 And Jigsaw's like, you've got a look at this x-ray machine. And I didn't use a lead vest on you because I'm, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, I'm, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I've tho, I tho, I, I, I tho, I, I, I, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I, I th, I, I th, I, I, I, I th, I, I, I, I th, I th, I'm, I'm, th, th, th, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, and tha, tha, tho, tho, and I took a view with my x-ray machine and I didn't use a lead vest on you because I don't care if you get cancer. How did he get an x-ray machine? He has an x-ray machine. It's in his laboratory. How do this guy not know there was a key behind his eye? I feel like, oh, oh, oh, oh! Oh, I keep if I have like a little thing on my contact lens I'm like, ow! So he's got to dig the key out of his eye to get himself out of this, uh, this Black Sunday mask. Yes. So he takes the knife and he's holding it over his eyeball and I was like, cut your eyelid, you fucking dope. Have you never seen a Rocky movie?
Starting point is 00:12:39 Cut your eyelid like it's nothing. Cut me. Cut me. Rocky begs for it his dick is hard for cutting sorry He's like freaking out and he pulls the pin on his own trap and then then of course he does not he wimps out and does not cut his own eyeball to get the key out to get the key out don't cut your eye to get the key out. I don't cut your eye to the eye. Which starts a timer. Yes. And then of course he does not, he wimps out and does not cut his own eyeball to get the key out. Don't cut your eyeball, cut your eyelid. I would absolutely cut my eyelid and dig behind my eye. Yeah. It's fine. Of course.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Why not? I don't even have to. I'm going to work tomorrow. And the trap springs and his head explodes. Yeah. And the trap the trap the trap the the the the the the the the th. I I I I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. thi. thi. th. tape th. I th. I th. Don't th. Don't th. Don't th. Don't th. Don't th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. I tie. tie. tip. tip. tip. tip. tip. tip. tip. tip. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. tie. tie. trap springs and his head explodes. Yeah. And then they do this like nine-inch nails video with like shaky, spinny quick cuts. You know what I mean? Yeah. Ugh. Do I. Ugh. Great when someone wants to fuck you like an animal, less great when it's salt to. Yeah. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:13:39 So we see Donnie Walburg, and I just have all these notes about why is he wearing his dad's suit to work? What is he wearing his dad suit? I wrote here, I felt he was a creepy old guy since I was eight. I'm just going to go out of limb and say the Walburg family, not great. Just stop looking at them. We don't have to let them do things. You know what I mean? We could just say no more. Yes. But Walburgers is so delicious. Is it?
Starting point is 00:14:09 I don't know. They're not in Pittsburgh, are they? Not that I know of. I'm assuming they don't have a veggie option. If they do, get in touburg. Wall burgers, reach out to us. Let us know what your menu is like. So... You got onion rings? Oh, I bet they have onion rings.
Starting point is 00:14:32 I love onion rings. It's the option I go for. It's better than a french rye. Oh yeah, for sure. Would you dip an onion ring in? Oh no, I freeball it. I don't dip it in anything. Yeah, raw dog in. Yeah, raw dog. Yeah, raw dog, that onion ring.
Starting point is 00:14:46 That's me what I dip onion rings in and then guess. Ranch dressing? Don, Don, Rench dressing. Fuck it, I'm disgusting. Anyway, so he's got this kid that doesn't like him. He's got a bad attitude. Everybody's got a bad attitude. So kids got a bad attitude. Everybody's got a bad attitude. So Danny has gotten into some sort of trouble, shoplifting maybe.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Who cares? He's got a wallet chain. That means he's trouble. In 2007, having a wallet chain means something has gone wrong. It's true. They're arguing. He's like, why you're such a cop 24-7? And he's like, I'm going to move back with mom. And Donnie Walberg yells, well then go in his face. So they're both pieces of shit. Yeah, for sure. And Donnie Walberg gets a call on his phone.
Starting point is 00:15:42 He's like, Danny, sorry, Sarge, I thought you were my son. Yeah. I was like, wait, did your cell phone not have caller ID on it? No, I had a flip phone in 2007, no caller ID. Oh, really? No, of course it did. What is this? I'm not America?
Starting point is 00:15:56 Oh, just so we don't get emails. Look, it's 2007 if I say it is. Alan just raised his eyebrows of me like, do you know what you're doing? How dare you? You don't get to set the time for Saul too? I don't. So we meet the Starship Troopers Lady, who I cannot believe... Oh my god, it is.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Yes. She's terrible in this. She is terrible. Terrible. Charles Barkley, ter-Turble, ter-Turble, terrible in this. She is terrible. Charles Barkley terrible levels of acting. I did not even think to look her up because she was such a bad actor that I assume she'd never been at anything before. Awful. Yeah. Yeah. I hate to say that. She's awful. I mean, it had to have been down to the direction, right? Because everybody is terrible in this. Yeah. I mean, I think there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's just there's just there's just the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi thi. I thi thi right? Because everybody is terrible on this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:47 I mean, I think there's just nothing to do and no one to tell them how to do it. Yeah, you're not looking at Shawnee Smith and going, torta fucking force. No, nobody's good. Nobody's good. Yeah, no, nobody's good. Yeah, no, she's ridiculous. I do not understand her at all. They have, so, uh, Sarge calls and he's like, hey, you gotta go check this thing out, there's a murder.
Starting point is 00:17:15 And he's been on desk duty. But why is he back in the fucking field now? No idea, call a uniform in. So it's like, it's sort of meant to imply that he and Star Trek Troopers have a relationship, a previous experience with Jigsaw. So this is the first time I paused movie and I was like, no, this is Saw too. You have not fucked up. Right, but they also been fucking.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Right, which we don't find out until later, but also who cares because, who would fuck Donnie Wahlberg? When he shows up at the crime scene and th.... cares because ew. Who would fuck Donnie Wahlberg? When he shows up the crime scene and they start interacting, I have the note, why does this feel like it was directed by Glenn Dancing? Oh my God, does it? Do you feel that way? It totally does. Speaking of, I requested a screener of that movie. Yeah. They never even replied to my email. Hey, I understand that they're all fucking vampires. May I have a screener of that movie? I do a very successful horror movie comedy podcast. You may have listened to our Veronica episode where we literally vomited. You may have heard Alan do an impression of dancing over 2,000 times in the eight years
Starting point is 00:18:18 that this podcast has existed. All documented. All true. Jesus. The body has a puzzle piece cut out of his flesh. And the lady has a puzzle piece cut out of his flesh. And the lady cop, Starship Troopers, is so flippant about it. It's almost like she's holding back glee. And you don't know why?
Starting point is 00:18:40 Why didn't you tell me about the jigsaw? I don't thou to see it for yourself. He can still see it for himself even if you say, hey, look at that. Like, and then I looked back at the cast for the first movie because I was like, were they in it? The cops? No. Kareal Wiz is the victim. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I love Carrileways. And Lee Wanel is also in the cell with him. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. Like it felt like I was supposed to be familiar with them and I had no fucking cares for them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:12 Also, fucking, uh, Chick's all knows who he is because he's written on the ceiling. Look closer, Detective Matthews. Which lady cop didn't bother telling him was on the ceiling until he was like, well, I'm gonna go home because I've ruined my son's life and I maybe should try to fix that. And she's like, we'll look closer, Detective Matthews. No, it's written above your head, Dum-dum. Also, he's a fucking detective. He can't see that. I'm not look up. He also like wakes up in his bed and you can see the tattoo on his upper arm and I was like, what the fuck is that?
Starting point is 00:19:49 It looks like a roar shock test. What is it? I assumed it was the house of pain logo. I hate Donnie. Donnie is 36 in this movie. No shit. That's how old I was. He looks great. Are you
Starting point is 00:20:05 kidding me? Honestly like watching these movies and being like you look like you look like shit you look like shit I'm doing so well. You've yet a school bus full of children say, yo Santa at you. Man I should not have told my kid about that. I love it so much. She brings it up all the time. She's like, remember when those kids yelled at th. th. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. the the the th. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. the the the the. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. Honestly. the. the. Honestly. the. the. Honestly. the. Honestly. Honestly, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. told my kid about that. I love it so much. She brings it up all the time. She's like, remember when those kids yelled at Alan? What did you stop calling you Al-Yen? Aw, I was gonna get my name changed. So Donnie Wahlberg is like laying in bed and he wakes up and he's like,
Starting point is 00:20:45 Huh, Wilson, Steel, what's that? What is that? Why, though? Because he was on a piece of equipment that was in the building that he went to investigate the murder in. Okay, I have to be really, really, really honest with you. Yeah, thank you. Yeah. You know, you often say this that a film, to, to, to, to, to, to, th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, wa, wa, wi, wi, wi, wi, wi. Well, wi. Well, w. Well, w. Well, w. Well, wa, wa, wa, wa, wa, th. th. th. th. thi. thi, thi, to be to be to be to be to be too, too, too, too. too. tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. the. thi. the. to this movie. Yeah. You know, you often say this, and a film dares you to pay attention to it.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Sure. This is one of them. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. It's hard. It's challenging. Yeah, yeah, 100%. It was on the trap that was on the guy's head. It was manufactured at Wilson Steel.
Starting point is 00:21:19 So they're the Wilson Steel plant. Yeah. No need to look for bubee traps, knowing everything you know about this guy. They're just like, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot. But it's like, if there was a car accident, you wouldn't go to Chevy to figure out what's going on. No, it's true. It's true. Like if you get stabbed with a cutco knife, I'm not calling cut-go. Assume that this whatever augmentation have been done to this head-crushing helmet had been done post-factory it wasn't made in
Starting point is 00:21:50 house. Right that's not part of their line. No, like industrial catalog and you're like I will take seven black Sundays. Have you ever wanted to make a Barbara Steel Witch? Well have I got a mass for you? 4999. Catologues don't talk. So, they go to Wilson Steel, they see Jake Saul's little dumb-dum dummy on a tricycle. Why did he build a puppet? Listen, if I'm dying of cancer,
Starting point is 00:22:18 the last fucking thing I'm doing is paper mish. Okay, maybe it Amanda do it, who knows. This character is so confusing to me. Also, apparently he's in the next six movies, so he's not going to die. So I'm like, is this all a ruse that you're not really dying of cancer? I don't know, because the end of this movie would lead you to believe that he's dead. Right. Cleefly dead at the end of this movie. It's so silly.
Starting point is 00:22:46 I die grinning. Here's where I wrote, shit, I'm barely paying attention. So the cops trigger a, a stair to fall, and then another stair shoots out and breaks a cop's leg. Okay. This is so convoluted. And then they're in like a cage in the stairwell that is electrified that seemingly knocks all the cops out? Yes, they're all gone. All the cops are gone. There's there's the one cop who just yells at them who's left. Yes, right. So then we see that Jigsaw, this man, is sitting in this room. There's a menacing close-up of an IV bag and then a menacing close-up of a medical monitoring device, and I don't know why. He got that beep beeper.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I mean, that's okay. You're allowed to have those. He also, I wrote here, he looks like a smug guy in a wizard-braker. Because he's actually wearing like a windbreaker but first it looked like a wizard rope? It would definitely, yeah, yeah, it must be from the Wizard Road Rove windbaker breaker line. Yeah. Woodware. So he is, he is John Kramer.
Starting point is 00:23:53 Sure. And the police and press like to call me Jigzo. That's not what I call myself. I wasn't trying to put together a puzzle. I was saying that these people had something missing and you're like I don't fucking give a shit. It just but why I have another note why is Tony Walberg wearing his dead suit still? Tony Walbark is watching a a video feed where he goes I think that's my son it's like you should know I'd know my child anywhere literally anywhere and then it does that thin thing where the camera's the camera's the camera's the that, it's just like. It's I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. It's like. It's like. It's like. I th. I the the the the th. It's just, I the the the the the the the the the the the the th. It's just, I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. It's like, you should know. I'd know my child anywhere, literally anywhere. And then it does that thing where the camera zooms in on like an LED monitor and then goes in, or CRT monitor?
Starting point is 00:24:35 And then goes into the monitor, now you're in the monitor with the son. Now you're there, dog. And like, I wrote this, but this is true. This is so dumb, but at at at at at at at at at at, but at, but at, but at, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. And, th, th. And, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, thi, I, thi, that, that, that, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, thi. And, dog. Yeah. And like, I wrote this, but this is true. This is so dumb, but at least it jumps right in. This is like eight minutes into the movie. You're right in it. Yeah, it feels like it's 45 minutes in, but it's eight. I mean, it does feel that way. Yeah, yeah, there's like a dog years.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Yeah, watch me on the YouTube's. I will not watch me. Tell me how it was. I'll get back to you on that. It's not out yet. So but I watched those two movies from 2005 back to back and I was like, I don't know if I'm going to make it through this. I don't know if I can't th I I I I I th I th I th I th I can't know if I can't know if I can't know if I can't know if I can't know if I can't know if I can't know if I can't the 2005 I can't th. It's a fallow rough time for a lot of pop culture really. Yeah, yeah. I mean you get the dissent in 2005. Great film. Wolf Creek comes out in 2005. I don't know that one. It's an Australian serial killer slasher movie that's really good. You've tried to pitch me on that in the past. Very bleak. Very bleak. Because Australians love the fucking bleakness. Oh yeah, yeah. Have you seen Australia? It's bleak as shit.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Everything can kill you. Yeah, but they've also got these gorgeous beaches. Yeah, but all those gorgeous beaches are tiny jellyfish that can kill you, called Blueys. They even have a cute name. Have you seen the Australian children's show Bluey? Wonderful. I'm an American adult. With an American child. It's so fucking good. Parents watch Bluie. You know it already. I assume you haven't, you didn't watch Bluie prior to being the mother of a delightful child. Jesus. Anyway, so all these people are waking up in a room and like a decrepit house. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And one guy goes, I've been drunk. I spent three years at college, which I liked a lot.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Why do I have the note that says he's gonna bleed from every orifice he has? I have no idea. I think that's something Donnie Wahlberg said to somebody. Probably. One of the people in the house is the lady from that Jesus show? No. Touched by an angel. No. Highway to Heaven. Seventh Heaven. Seventh Heaven. Yeah. The one lady is from that. My roommate in college used to watch that show. I had that petter ass on it, right? Yes. Yes. He was the dad and also the
Starting point is 00:26:56 preacher. Yeah. That scant. Um. Who would have ever thought? Before we get to the house, Donnie Wolberg sees us out on the monitor and he's like, Holy shit, that's my son. I think that's my son. He's very upsetting to me as a parent. Calls his son's cell phone and Jigsaw and Jigsaw has left the outgoing message? And I was like, who has the time to be a jigsaw? I love this. Like like this. Like this. Like this. Like this. Like this. Like th. Like ththe- like th. ththe- like thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. Who th. Who th. Who. Who. Who? Who? Who? Who? I love this like there's what six eight people in there I'm not going to count them I don't care he took all of their cell phones he was like poop poop poop yeah this is jigsaw fuck you I love that he was doing it over breakfast
Starting point is 00:27:39 oh my god it sucks so bad. He tells them they all have to find an antidote to a nerve agent which is being pumped into the house there are the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their time. time. I toells him they all have to find an antidote to a nerve agent which is being pumped into the house. There are no antidotes for nerve agents. And doesn't he say that it's sarin gas? He says it's from the Japanese subway bombing. Yeah. Or gassing, sorry. Uh, that omshon Riccio did. And it's just like,
Starting point is 00:28:01 What? You're you you you you, you th, you th, you're th, you're th, you're th, you're th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, tho, thu, thu, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. the. the. the. thea. thea. the one of the characters is like, there's no antidote for that, but yet they still fight over these syringes. Why... you... Okay. Okay. And why's a nerve agent make you puke blood? Is this what an escape room is? I think so. Ew. This is also the start to the worst call of kithulu adventure, like adventure. I feel like I don't know I feel like is a call of kthulu adventure you could make this fun. Oh for sure. Oh for sure. I have played a call of kithuloo venture where all of your players wake up in a room with no memory of how they got there. I kind of love that actually. Which is the plot of this movie and I hate this movie. So go figure. So we meet Amanda who we met in the last film. Did we?
Starting point is 00:28:47 Shawnee Smith. Wait, she was in the last movie. She's the initial person with the jaw-breaking thing on her head. Okay, I guess I don't remember her. Yeah, she had like the thing that was attached to her jaw that if it had sprung or would their had her head apart. I remember that in the Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Her haircut is so wow. It's like she lost a bet. Yeah, with scissors. She seems to know where something is. She starts digging around. Yeah, she's like, we've got a
Starting point is 00:29:18 thing. Yeah, and she finds a taper gore that tel that they've been exposed to under age and then there's an antidote in the house. And why do th th th th th th th they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th they th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thin. thin. the the is that's that's that's that's that. She's thin. She's thin. She's thin. She's the is the is theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee is the. She that tells them that they've been exposed to under our age and there's an antidote in the house. And why do they say anecdote? No, I like that. It's an antidote. Yeah, you need to be an antit in the house. One of them says, how did you know where to find this? And then doesn't wait for an answer. It's just, it's, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho, tho, tho, thi. thi. thi. tho. tho. tho, tho, tho, thi. thi. thi. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. One. th. th. th. th. th. th. ttthe. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the, the, the, the, the, the,. Wait, is that the buff guy? Yes, yes. Can I call him just buff guy? Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Okay. There's Jonas Singer, Addison? Oh no, that is. Yeah. Laura? Who knows? One of them is the Jesus showgirl, and one of them isn't. And someone named Obey.
Starting point is 00:29:57 That's the card with his name on it, someone goes, what the fuck is Obey? And he goes, that's my name, Obie. And then they play the tape and it's, Jigsard going, Obey. I was like, you can't even get his name fucking right, you piece of shit. It's like, is he named after Obi-o-1? Fuck it. This is where I wrote, I genuinely keep checking to make sure I'm watching saw two and not saw three. It felt like I was watching saw three.
Starting point is 00:30:30 I missed so much. So, uh, oh, so they find a key and then there's a note in the key that says do not use this in the door. Yeah. So a guy immediately goes over to use it the door. And another guy looks through the the the the the the the th. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It It. It It It It It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It. It. It. It. It. use this in the door. Yeah. So a guy immediately goes over to use the door and another guy looks through the key hole or the the the the peep hole and get shot the eye. Yeah immediately. I'm saying why don't you look at the people if you're gonna open a door. Yeah I mean like why bother? Yeah I don't get it. And Amanda yells, no he's not, he's testing us, he wants us to survive this, and no one's like, how do you know all this? Like in, I remember watching
Starting point is 00:31:12 this movie shortly after it came out, I definitely got it on like on demand or home video or whatever. I remember being like surprised at the end that she was involved and now watching it. I'm like, God you were fucking stupid. We were so stupid when you were 22 or whatever. It's very obvious. So, while this is happening, Jigsel's like, I need some time alone with Donnie Wahlberg. Just wants a little privacy, just to put just a tip, just to see how it feels. Fuck. You don't think he wants to fuck Donnie Wahlberg? Because I do.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I think he wants to fuck Donny Wahlberg. You know Donny Wahlberg is going to clip that so it sounds like you want to fuck Donny Walburg. Yeah, that's why I repeated it. No, Donny Walberg, do not want to fuck you. They get out of the room, the big guy finds a spiked baseball bat, and he's like, I'm going to find a way out, and I guess by beating the walls to death or something. Which actually makes more sense than anything else they do, because it's just a house,
Starting point is 00:32:18 it's just plaster and brick, we can break out of it. Why don't you then, because he never even tries it? You gotta get taught a lesson by Jigsaw, I guess. I guess so, yeah. Can I have a glass of water? This is where I wrote, cover your mouth when you cough jigsaw, you fucking pig. You're the one who's always going on about everybody else's moral compass. You cannot just cough into the air. that the air. Hey, Johnny, th th th th th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you tho, you're tho, you're tho, you're tho, you tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thu, thu. thu. thu. You tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo're a bad person. Bad people cough into the air.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Hey Donnie Wahlberg. Ha! You fuck off! Also, like, do not hint at Donny Wahlberg's past like, I care about it. I don't. So Donny Walburg has beaten someone with a flashlight and broken their jaw, because he's just a very, very, aggressive police officer. Yes. We learn throughout the c of this film that he's a terrible police officer
Starting point is 00:33:07 Yeah The thing I don't like about Jigsaw is that he's just such a neb shit, you know, like just worry about your own life my dude. Can you can you explain neb shit to non-pitsbushen? Did I say neb shit Sorry. Nebbshit is when you're just a busybody. It's like being up in everybody else's business. Nebben is like when something's going on in your street and you like pull your curtains open and look out because you're Nebbbun? Yeah, you're being Nebbbbbbb. Yeah, you're being nebbing other people stuff. Yeah, that's so weird. I love it.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Yeah, I'm nebby. Oh yeah, for sure. Oh, I'm nebby as hell dog. My neighbors are so nebby that they don't even bother trying to like peek through the curtains. When something goes on they just throwing the curtains wide open. They're like, who's throwing the screen up and hanging out the window, be like, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:34:10 You guys do it! What a neb shit. Up, king up. King neb. Actually, jigsaw is king neb. Yeah. about your own fucking life. Why does he have, ugh. Why does he feel that he is the moral arbiter who has to fix these people to put their missing peace in them?
Starting point is 00:34:31 Especially when we learn about these people that they've all been framed for crimes? Yeah, even though seemingly they are all also criminals. Yeah, okay, so you might be a drug dealer. Yeah. Like, that's a shitty thing to be, th. th. th. that, th. that that that that that th. that th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the, thi, thi, the, tho, that that that that that that that that that that tho- tho- thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. theeat's theeat's thi. theiiiiiiiiiiiiii. thi. thi. thi. thi. a drug dealer. Yeah. Like, that's a shitty thing to be. But it also doesn't mean that you deserve to like, be locked into a room with nerve gas. Sure. I think that's why we don't do the death penalty for everything,
Starting point is 00:34:55 or most things, or anything really in this state. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Death penalty. So then a woman finds a Harry Potter door that leads downstairs and they find a bunch of mannequins in the basement. If you say so. I have a bunch of notes about Obie. So yeah, he's sort of been like a rogue character lurking in the shadows, but he keeps taking his hood off for dramatic effect on more than one occasion, which is like you can only do a one.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Oh, that's... keeps taking his hood off for dramatic effect on more than one occasion, which is like you can only do it one. Yeah. Oh, that's... So, there is another tape recorder and it explains that Obie was the kidnapper. Yes, and then Jesus Showgirl remembers him kidnapping her. I like the idea of a Jesus showgirl. Like, there's a biggest review. If I ever get on the big stage,'m going to be a Jesus show girl. Just Jesus from the neck of I'm gonna wear a show girl from the bikini. That's why
Starting point is 00:35:53 I have a note that says Obey won the kidnapper yeah because my phone changed it from Oby was the kidnapper. Fair enough it's like you're a nerd you know what this means. But like okay so, so, so, so Jesus show girl has a memory of him kidnapping her. Yeah, yeah. Why does he kidnap her? Because, uh, uh, uh, uh, jigsaw told him he had to, or else something would happen. Or else? He'll get burned and in a, in a crematorium?
Starting point is 00:36:19 Yeah. Yeah, that's what happens though. So he, there were two needles inside this crematorium. Right. He just is immediately like, I have to climb in. And wouldn't you be like I'm in a basement? Let me look around for a broom. A broom or I'm gonna like put my, going up to my waist and try to use my feet to pull it down. Yeah, I'm not going to fucking the second of the two needles, it pulls a chain that shuts the door and
Starting point is 00:36:49 starts the crevatorium. Which is like, this whole thing is hinging on the idea that no one would be holding the door open. No one would be standing between the open door and the opening. All these people hate each other from the job. For no reason. And also like if he was really put up to kidnapping this woman, why doesn't he explain it to them when they're like you kidnapped her? What do you, she's like you kidnap me, you're a terrible person? He's like, ugh. Oh, fudge. Why doesn't he say anything? I don't know. But then Danny busts out a window so he can crawl partially out before the guy gets fully incinerated. They're like, oh those gloss or something? He's been in there for
Starting point is 00:37:31 four minutes. He didn't think of that like fucking nail baseball bat until that moment to break something with? Huh? Huh? And then Johnny Smith is just like, fuck this, I'm going upstairs. Yeah. She's like he had a choice. You're like, okay, you're in on it. Yeah, a toy. And we cut back to a jigsaw who's just proselytizing about, I don't know. I want to spend the rest of my days testing the the fabric of human nature. Why are you making a shirt? Why don't you catch up on TV? Wo? W don't th you don't th you don't th you don't th you don't th you don't th you don't th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you thesting the fabric of human nature. Why are you making a shirt? Why don't you catch up on TV? Why don't you donate all of your money to charity? Would you tell people in your life that you love them? Yeah, Patagonia. Yeah. Sorry, I didn't yell over you. It's fine. I just said, yeah, Patagonia, because the guy for Patagonia donated all of his money, the climate change causes. Oh, good for him. Yeah. Yeah. He, I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, I th. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, why, why, why don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't, why don't, why don't, why don't, why don't, why don't, why don't, why don't, why don't, don't, why, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't th. Why, don't th. Yeah, don't the th. Yeah, the th. Yeah, th. Yeah, tho. Yeah, tho. Yeah, don't you don't you don't tho. Yeah, don't tho. Yeah, don't you don't tho. Yeah, don't tho. Yeah, don't th. Yeah, don Great. He donated all of his money to climate change causes. Oh, good for him. Yeah. He was sort of a reluctant billion area.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Yeah, that was his whole thing. He's like he never wanted to be rich off of what he did. So he's just gabled all his money away. That's how we are with the show. We're just like super reluctant about our success. Meanwhile, cut back to what we find out though, the testing of the fabric of human nature. And Donny Walberger is like, fuck this, I don't want it anymore, and walks away from him. This is where I started wishing that Jigsaw would like unexpectedly die in the middle of a speech about knowing he's going to die and savoring everything. And then I got really like, in my own head about like maybe this is the sequel to Eat Pray Love where he's like you've got to experience it and we're going to Tuscany! So is it eat P-R-E-Y?
Starting point is 00:39:10 Love? Eat-Pray die. Oh should we make that movie? Copyright, copyright, copyright. Stephen Kang's Eat Pray Die. I love that. But. But like, seriously, who cares about this guy? About Jigsaw? Yeah, who's believing him? Who's like, like, what? God damn it. He has a acolite. Ha, and how?
Starting point is 00:39:40 And how? And how? Do you appreciate your son's life? What? Because you yelled at him and haven't been as present as you maybe should have been after a divorce? That's kind of a thing that happens sometimes? Like, Donnie Wahlberg's might be a shitty dad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Like, he does not deserve, his child does not deserve this. There was a bit of a hesitation before he said, of course, I care about my son's life. He's like, yeah! I chalked that up to Donny Wahlberg's acting, but fair enough. So we keep seeing like they have to do different things to do different things. And there's an escape room. And in this escape room, there is a pit in the floor that's filled with hypodermic needles. Who filled that? Was it Amanda? Because I don't think Jigsaw did it, which means she
Starting point is 00:40:33 fucking built that for herself. Do these later movies lay out that John Kramer ran a medical supply company and that's why he has all this shit? Seriously, how could you get that many syringes? I mean, it is a pit. That is rating so many Quest diagnostics to get all those syringes. So Danny says to her, you said you survived this, right? She goes, I, what? I was like, we're watching the movie. She's like, oh wait, did I give that away earlier?
Starting point is 00:41:08 Forgive me. He's like, but why? And she's like, because I was a fucking junkie. And then she, I guess, got out of his trap. Yeah. And then she was suicidal, which is then, I guess, cause for torture, according to Jigsaw. I guess maybe he's the Catholic Church or something? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Drug addiction is an addiction issue. It should be treated as, God damn it people, come on. Being depressed and suicidal, should not open you up to being murdered. Anyway. Ay, ayay. So, Xavier is like someone's going into that pit and he throws Amanda into the pit. Why? Because he wasn't going into that pit and she's just a tiny lady.
Starting point is 00:41:53 She's down there and she's like, all right, I guess I'll look for this key then. No. I would pick up a fist full of syringes and hurl them at that man. I don't care how much it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts the key the key the key the key the key the key the the key th me that man. I don't care how much it hurts me, it will also hurt you. So they've got to find a key that's in there that's hooked to a glowstick, which I loved. And the key opens a door that they could get out through, but they have like a minute to open it. Which of course they beat lose by one second. By one one second. Yeah. And then we learn that Matthews is a crooked cop who who is that that that that that that thue is that thue is that thue is thue is that thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thus is a thoom-a thi is a crooked cop who, sorry, Donnie Wahlberg. He's calling by his right name. And he is a crooked cop who framed every one of the people who were in there. And Jigsel is going to reveal that he's the father of Danny to these people.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Dun to done. It's just like, at this point I wrote, this is terrible and terrible. It's just like, was 2005 just a lot bleaker that I remember it being? I mean, I don't know. I guess Bush was president and we were in a war we didn't want. Yeah. We felt out of control. We had no idea what real out of control things. Yeah, I feel like living in legit bleak times now. This isthis is like, you guys were kind of like living high on the hog. Yeah, I mean, we thought Bush was terrible. And yes, he was, he was, for sure. But it could have been a lot worse.
Starting point is 00:43:13 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Not a good dude. Oh, God, no. to the Michelle. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. thi. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. tho. tho. the. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. to Michelle Obama. You don't touch Michelle Obama. She's perfect. You ever sit in the Michelle Obama chair, the Pamela's in Millvale? She came there for pancakes. And the chair she sat in, they put a plaque on the back of it that says Michelle Obama and has a date.
Starting point is 00:43:39 I have a picture of Lucy sitting in it. It's very nice. It's just like one of the tables you might get. Yeah, nice. Very nice. Love Michelle Obama. Love Pamela's. So there is a Xavier figures out that they all have numbers written in Sharpie on the back of their heads because he like fucking Jigsaw's like, remember the combination, it's in the back of your heads. It's in the back of your minds, which is not where your neck is, but okay. So when it gets down to it and he has to cut his own neck off, why? Why didn't he just ask them?
Starting point is 00:44:18 Why didn't he just work with them? I... Genuinelyly, like, really what they all should have done was killed the buff guy and work together but that's not what happens. No, it is not what happens. No. And meanwhile Donnie Wahlberg is beating the shit out of Jigsaw who's like, ah this is funny.
Starting point is 00:44:38 I wrote here, wait this is the plot of line of duty, maybe. Because he's a dirty cup planting a bent copper, planting evidence. Nice one, mate. Nice one, mate. If you and I ever get friendship tattoos, they're going to say nice one mate. Of course they are. Okay. I'm a hundred percent town.
Starting point is 00:44:57 I'll do that. Yeah, you just let me know. I am very close to getting a tattoo of a bear in a bear in in in in in in that. to getting a tattoo of a bear in a smoking jacket that just says doing things on them. You won't. You won't. Tell him he won't, listeners. He won't. Why? Because you won't do it if I say you won't, you won't. It's such a good idea for a tattoo. Do it then. You won't. Uh, so Matthews is that, or Donny Walberg is then like... Thank you for trying. I do appreciate your efforts. Oh wait, oh wait, before Donny Wahlberg runs out to go try and find his son, Jigsaw says, Game Over. And I was like, that's your tagline from the end of the last movie.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Yeah, you can't say it mid-movie. Game over just can't be your tagline. You're not fucking Jason Vorees on the video game where you say all your friends are dead. You're right. He's like go look in the brown desk and fucking Sarasop Triboros goes over and opens a gray desk and pulls out whatever it is he's talking about. Furious, I'm furious. And then she's like, oh man, these video feeds aren't live. That's right, it's all been filmed earlier.
Starting point is 00:46:06 It's like, how are you dumb-dumps just realizing this? You're the shitest cops ever. Because they have been, she's been on the phone with like tech support. And they've been like, okay, we'll have in 15 minutes. She's like, we don't have 15 minutes. But like, actually, yes, you do, because you've no to be to be to be to be to be the to be to be the their to be their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their to be their their to be their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. th. th. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. th. the the the there for hours, how could they not have figured out that it was a VHS? Do you think these cops are bummed that Brad Pitt and Seven is a better cop than they are? At one hundo, yes. They're like, well what training did he get? Continuing education? Oh my god. Oh here's a note I wrote to myself. I told myself that if I could wash th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho that the the the tho tho tho tho tho tho they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not tho they're not tho tho tho tho tho tho tho their not their not their not their not their not their not their not their not their not their not their not they that that that the the the the too. too. too. Starting point is 00:46:48 So now I'm having ice cream. I had to bribe last night Katie to watch this movie. I did apologize for you watching this movie before you watched this movie. I was like, which one did you watch and you were like, it's excruciating. So I had to eat my emergency, Benjamins and Gerald's. What flavor? Strawberry cheesecake. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Nice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, I usually go for a chunky monkey if I'm getting the Benz and Jerry's. You don't get a lot of banana-flavored ice cream out. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. th. I. th. th. You don't get a lot of banana flavored ice cream out there, so I'm a fan. When Donald Wahlberg is running through this house that he gets to to find his son, this is after many scenes of him like talking about his personality and Jigsaw's personality with Jigsaw and you're just like, oh shut up! They, for some reason, the soundtrack has been like light new metal the entire time. Yes. And for some reason when he's running through the corridors of this house, it's just gone, bump, bump, bump, bump.
Starting point is 00:47:52 And I'm like, well, do the chicka chicka chicka if you're gonna do the bump-bomb. Say chicka. Bum, bump. Chica. Because, I was like, it- It's just cut, isn't it? You're right. Why is it just, bomp-bomp, like, that's going to build tension. You can't, you have to say chick-chick-chik-chah. Well, I guess it did build tench-a-chah,
Starting point is 00:48:12 you're just waiting for the ch gas. Sure, yeah. Which is crazy because like how did Jigson know that, like how did he know that his acolite wouldn't die of exposure at the same time? They're similarly sized women, you know what any? Who knows? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:37 They're also just like holding her by her neck when she has a seizure. I don't think you're meant to do that. None of these people are medical professionals. No, that's true. She says, X marks the spot and it's on a broken picture frame. It's a picture of him and his dad. And on the back, what does it say? Father and son. Just so you didn't think it was like, bring a cop to work day or something. Yeah. Just met at the county fair and got our photo taken. Oh my god. So, thu. And th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the the the. the the. the the the the the the the the the the the. the the the the. the the. Oh my god. So dumb. So when Donald Waller, yeah, Donald Walburg like bust into the room that Carrie Elwis was initially trapped in in the first saw movie. Right, so he beats the shit out of jigsaw, puts him in a van and drives him away. Right, right, right. They're like, where's, what's? Mathes? He's gone. T. their It's just like... And he's like you have to show me where I have to go and like... Yes he's giving directions there and he goes it's the last house on the left and you're like how fucking dare you you do not
Starting point is 00:49:31 take West Craven's name into your mouth you piece of shit. Even if it's a movie that I don't ever want to watch again. I'll never watch the last house. I've never finished. I the last. I the last. I the last. I the last. I the last. I the last. I the last. I the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've the last. I've. I've the last. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I's. I've. I's. I've. I've. I've. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. I've. the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the th. the the the the the the the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the where we find out that it's been on fucking a BCR the entire time. They were watching a tape delay. Oh right, because the other guys, the other cops have been sent to another house? Another house? How many empty houses does he have? So he runs into the room where Carrie Elwis and Lee and Elwood were trapped. He just leaves this fucking guy unattended, this fucking serial killer, just leave him unattended. Yeah, but he beat him up real good.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Roll good with his big fists. Yeah, get him a real southy beat down. Boston fists. Go, Pat's. Go, Pat's. To Flate Cape. How do you know about that, genuinely, how do you know? It was in the news?
Starting point is 00:50:22 I like the times. So he gets into the room and he sees a body in the bathtub and he's like, oh Daniel? And it's not, it's not Daniel, because it has a fucking animal mask on. A pig face. It's a pig face who jumps up and hits him him with the syringe. There's been all these deaths before this. Like, Jonas has been hit with a baseball bat with nails. The one woman who has been in jail for reasons we don't know. She's wearing a slutty shirt, so we're meant to think she's a bad person. Sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Has put her hands through like a structure that had spikes. A plexiglass box? Yeah. Like she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she she thine she thine she thine she thine she thine she thine she thine she thi thi th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thus the the thi thi thease thease thease tho tho tho tho tho tho the the the the. thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thi thi thi th had spikes. A plexiglass box? Yeah. Like she didn't seem that stupid. She could have put something up there and knocked that syringe down and just grabbed it with her fingers. Huh? Yes. So she's dead. The woman who, the Jesus Show girl has died of a seizure, or not a seizure, after having a seizure, from having this nerve gas exposure. And all we know is that they've all been in jail and she's like, I was framed. And then th, not, not, not, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that that that thi, thi, that that that that that that that that that's that's that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that, that that that, that, that that, that that, that that that, that, that that that that, th, th, that th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that that that that that theeeeeeeee thi's theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee that's that's all we know is that they've all been in jail. And she's like, I was framed. And then she dies. So like. It would make sense that she was on the Jesus Show.
Starting point is 00:51:31 She looks for a Jesus Show. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Seventh heaven. So he wakes up. He's been, uh, man manacled to a pipe.
Starting point is 00:51:46 And I don't give a single solitary flying fuck. And there's a tape recorder left right next to his hand, which I appreciate it because I know he's a shit cop and he would never find it if they put it anywhere far away from him. If it's not within his touching reach, he doesn't know it's there. And it's Amanda, and it's Amanda, th and she's like, th and she's Amanda, th and she's Amanda, th and she's Amanda, th and she's Amanda, th and she's Amanda, th and she's Amanda, th and she's th and she's Amanda, thi, thi, thi, thi, to to to to to to to to to to to thi, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thei. today, today, today, today, today, today, thi. thi. thi.'m gonna be your torturer. Thanks so much for coming out. She's like, I found myself a father, a leader, a teacher, Mioggi-doh. The Nina, the Pita, the Santa, Maria. And then she says, Game Over.
Starting point is 00:52:22 She, okay, so we see the entire movie again in Flashback. Oh that's where I had the note why do we have to watch the whole movie again? I already saw this fucking movie you don't need to show it to me again. But then when she comes in and shuts the door she's put on a sexy top because earlier she'd been wearing like sweatpants and we see her again she's wearing a fishnet top tap the top th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the the the the the the the the the the the the the-fixenetetet net that the the-I theaten the-I the-I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thnets thnets thnets thnets thnets thnetsenetet the the the the the the the the the toye tipe te teean teat to-nipeat teat to-I toge the the's like, game over. So, is she fucking Jigsaw? Oh, I hope so. Her father, her leader, her teacher, Miyagida? Her Nina, her Pinta or Santa Maria. Put a dick in it. And then Jigsaw smiles because someone said game over and that's the only way that he can finish. How did they get six more movies?
Starting point is 00:53:09 How? Because this movie costs $14 million to make and I made $147 million in the theater. Jesus, thanks, Alan. Why are we poor? I mean, I'm sure it's diminishing returns, but I'm sure these money still, are these movies still raking a ton of money. Unbelievable. Yeah, believable.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Believable. Yeah, believable. You want to rate this piece of shit? I absolutely do. I mean, Rating's face. Alan, it is now your time to choose a number between one and ten to describe the way you felt about this film. Altered Beast!
Starting point is 00:53:45 Um, the video game, Altered Beast. Yes, I know. Rise from your grave! I would give this movie a two for Salt two. Okay. Yeah, for Donnie Wahlberg's ill-fitting suit. I couldn't get over how poorly fit the suit was. I mean, he's a normal looking man.
Starting point is 00:54:03 You get him a suit that fits. Yeah, yeah, the, the the the the the the the th, yeah. Yeah, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. toe, toe, toe. toea, toea. toea. toeaugh, toea, toea, toea, toea, toea, toea, thi. I's's a normal looking man you get him a suit that fits. Yeah there's no reason his shirt needed to be that blousy. We're sure it's just that blousy in 05? Not in 2005, 95-95 a hundred percent. Sure. But 05 no we had certain tighten things up. Yeah oh five was a tighter. Yeah yeah Yeah. Oh five was a tico's phase we were tig-o th. Oh no, we were well out of our Janko's phase. Yeah. I'd even ditched Flares for Skinny's at that point. Yeah. That took me a long time. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, theyr. Yeah. Yeah. to do. I know you're not married her. Yeah, me too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:46 Get divorced if you aren't happy. Anyway. Negative too, it's a net zero. It sucks. This movie sucks. It's just like, I had to bribe myself to watch it. Yeah. Watching it was genuinely excruciating and not because it's so stupid. There's no one to root for. Yeah, it's-
Starting point is 00:55:05 The characters are undeveloped. We're meant to think there's a backstory for them just because they mention a backstory, but we never saw it. If it's torture porn, it's for the audience. It's torturing the audience, not, because it's not even like that torturous of a movie. No, I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th. I th. No, I remembered it being more like graphic and gruesome and it isn't. Like I remembered the woman getting her wrists caught in that thing and be like,
Starting point is 00:55:29 oh, you wouldn't be able to pull them out. But then like watching it now, I'm like, yeah, but you would never have had to put them in. Yeah. At best you put one hand in and keep the other one to see if you can't have the other one in, she could have put that one up there and pushed the things aside if she could have pulled her hand. Yeah. Oh my God, the whole thing is just hinging on people being absolutely fucking stupid. Yeah. Yeah. He's just killing the stupid.
Starting point is 00:55:53 Uh, and that's... And we're all told that they were framed for. Why are you torturing them? That is torture enough. Exactly. And again, back to Jordan Peterson. He's giving them advice they don't need that doesn't actually help them. Trash. Yeah. Absolute trash. Yeah. You know what's not trash? What? The delightful people who get sent us emails? Do they like Saw to they their they they they their they they they they they they they they they they they they they their they they they they their they they their they their they they they their they th. they they they they they they they they to th. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're toe. to toe. to toe. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. to th. to th. th. to to th. to to th. to to to to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. toe. the. toe. the. saw too, though? Starting point is 00:56:32 Oh, Pete. Yes. I recall you. Not only have I listened to all your episodes, I'm currently revisiting them all over again. I hope you're okay, that's not worthwhile. thank you. Just to to to to to to to the the the thi the thi thi the thi the thi thi thi that's not worthwhile, but okay, thank you. Just listen to the House of a Thousand Corpses episode and you both stated you do not like haunted houses. Oh fuck no. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, too real. I would like to invite you to a haunt that I work at in Medina, Ohio. That's not that far from here. It's not. It's the, it's, it's the ch. Starting point is 00:57:10 That's at Slaughterhouse Ohio. Okay. It's setting as an actual old slaughterhouse. Pete! That's the theme they ran with. I know it's about a two-hour drive, but thrown. I was about about to look about to look about to look about to look about to look about to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look to look. I was about to look it up. Pete did it for me. Pete, you're a fucking champion. I will cover the cost of your tickets if you decide you want to do it. Keep up the great work, love listening to you. Pete. Do you want to do it? Do you want to do, I don't want you to have to do anything you don't want to do. I mean they don't want you want you want you want you want you want you want you to want you to want you to want you to want you to want you to want you to want you to want you to want you to want to want to want to want to want to to to to to to to do to do to to do to do to do to to do to do to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to do to to do to to to to to to to to to to to to their to their to their to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to do. Starting point is 00:57:45 I would love to take a road trip for her with you at some point. Pete's two hours away, I mean, we'll just go buy pita beer. Yeah, Pete, you want to go meet us in Cleveland, go to go to Melt, have some grilled cheese sandwiches? Pete, meet us in Youngstown, yeah. Yeah, yeah. But thank you, Pete. I'm sorry, I'm an absolute pussy. The last time I went to a haunted house, I had a panic attack, and the guy with the chains out was like,
Starting point is 00:58:14 oh shit, to like help me off the ground. It was embarrassing. The last time I went to a haunted house was fright nights, although they call it like Harvest Time now at Kennywood. They try to make it less scary. Yeah, and every haunt I went into was just like teens smoking when we came around a corner like, oh shit, oh sorry, boo. The real fear is malaise. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:43 I definitely saw somebody in the attraction on their cell phone that was supposed to be scaring me. Wonderful. It was so good. But Pete, that's very generous. If you thank you. Pete, you're lovely. We're going to think about it, but the answer is probably no.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Plus slaughterhouse, that just, oh man. Alan's a vegetarian. How did it happen? How is it real? Because I was six foot two before I stopped eating meat? Really? Oh yeah. I didn't stop eating meat until I was 21. You should get back on the train. Hot dogs. Cured meats is what's going to bring me back over, baby. Salami. Man salami with my down fall. 10. I was like I was like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is like, how is it. How is it. How is it. How is it's. How is it's is it's is it, how is it. How is it. How is it. How is it. How is it. How is it. How, how is it. How, how is it. How, how is it. How, how is it. Cured meats is what's going to bring me back over, baby. Salami, man, salami with my downfall. Ten years, I was like, I gotta eat salami. There is no good fake cured meat. No, of course it isn't. You can't do it, yeah. It's just such a specific thing.
Starting point is 00:59:35 Yeah, for sure. Katie, speaking of specific things, what are we doing the film, to open a note note, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to be, to be, to to be, to to to to to to to to to to to to to, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to to to to to to to to to to to to tha, tha, tha, the thae.e, the the the te.e.e.e.e.e.e.e. the thea.e.e. thea, thea, thea, thea. thea, toe. toe. to open a note to see what we're doing next week so he looked at me very pointedly. Shutter never give us money so now we're t Jeff Goldblum, I don't know. Is that a thing? It is, it's on my watch list, I haven't watched it yet. Okay. I love that man. Pittsburgh's finest. So come back for a classic ghost story in the Changeling.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Never seen it, I'm looking forward to it. Yeah, I remember it being a good movie. I'm also looking forward to taking like three steps back back back back back back time in American history. Yeah. And the 202s too, fucking sucks. Yeah, but Lister's good movies. Like X. Like X. Great. Once again, thank you to Roland Blackburn for sending us these delightful books. I can't wait to read it. I am very excited. And thank you all for listening. You're all delightful. Thanks for your nice messages, your kind words. You're just interacting with us? Like, tell me about how your baby's doing?
Starting point is 01:00:51 I appreciate that. Oh yeah, well, we'll, uh, we'll get the, uh, reviews. So we'll get the, uh, we'll get to do it. That's when we'll get her to do it. Yeah, so we'll get that going. You all know it takes us a minute to do anything. Look, we're tired, we're old and we have day jobs. And this is free, so like... Yeah, we're eight years into this shit. Seriously. I can not believe it's going to be eight years next. Starting point is 01:01:32 Wilmington. Wilmington? He's from Goldington. But I think you spent a lot of time in Westchester because friends of mine from there know him. Sure. Very close areas for sure. Uh, so that was from last week's episode, but Tech Tinear, I like it. You can cut and paste or don't. I'm not going to.
Starting point is 01:01:49 He's not never going to do that. As soon as he hit stop, he forgets what happened. So, uh, we're done. Thank you for listening to another episode of Where. Bye-bye. Empty? Spicy. Whoa. We love you. Bye. Maybe Axe the United States at the pool. Maybe Acton the Rules. Savin' the pooled.
