Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 433- All About Evil (2010)

Episode Date: June 19, 2023

In this week's episode, we're enjoying the company of one of our patron saints, Natasha Lyonne, with the 2010 comedy/slasher "All About Evil." Special topics for your consideration include: breaking n...ews to us that you have all been aware of for like... 2 weeks, perfect homages, more questionable parenting and--good lord--the posters in this child's room, bejeweled flip phones, the true power move of smoking wherever the fuck you want, and a special message from our AI overlords.  Our girl Natasha Lyonne also appeared in Episode 134- "#Horror" which is a movie that I remember almost nothing about. You can catch Cassandra Peterson in Episode 238- "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark," and while Jack Donner has appeared in a few of the "Puppet Master" films, he hasn't been in any of the ones we've covered (Episodes 164 and 165, which are 1 and 2, respectively. Frankly I just love to bring up Puppet Master any time I get the chance.  The regular lineup of links! Starting point is 00:00:00 Alan, yeah Katie, here's the thing. I'm, first of all, I'm riding that Pat Robertson's dead high because as you know, we record two episodes in one night, which means I'm still champagne-drawned-drawn-drawned-drawn, but I also need you to... to... give me some breaking news. Don't even make the sound, just tell me. Okay, Donald Trump has just been indicted in the documents case for the stolen documents that he had in his Marlago home. Yes! Listen, y'all, I'm not pro-justice system, but sometimes bad people get what's coming to them and we can
Starting point is 00:00:47 all just be a little bit happier about that. Oh, fuck, yeah. The first time of former US prisoners faced federal charges. This happened while we were recording the last episode. Oh man. Cause to sell a blah. I don't know how you say that phrase. What phrase?
Starting point is 00:01:02 Cause de cella blah that phrase. What phrase? Cause to sell a blah. Oh that phrase. I don't speak French. That common household phrase that we all use every day. Man, it's like a couple rare winds for us. Honestly, yeah, it feels like today has been a day of bad things happening to bad people. That's just something I can get behind wholeheartedly, unashamedly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, fucking great, man. Man, so good. I'm definitely going to hit by a car on my way home. No, you're not. I will not let this happen.
Starting point is 00:01:40 And we didn't even mention how great it was that Pat Robertson died during pride. Like how fantastic is that? If there were a god, that would be a great bit of irony on his part. I saw somebody the tweet if you didn't want us to dance on your grave, you shouldn't have died during pride. Love that so much. Oh, I love that so much. So Donald Trump has been indicted. This is criminal charges. Yeah. Federal criminal charges. Federal criminal charges.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Yeah. Holy shit. I mean, nothing's going to happen to him at the end of the day, but still for it to have gone down. Love it. It seems like a big deal. You love to see it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:18 I love that glass. Oh, oh, we're doing it again. Why shouldn't we? Salude. Salute. Me, effamelia. Mm-hmm. I think this is the fanciest we've ever been with our champagne flutes. Well, yeah, because I feel like every other time we've had champagne, it's been out of some sort of paper cup. Yes. Empty beer can. Just pour it into it into it into it into it into it into it into it into it into the white th into th into th into th into th into the white th into th into th into a white tho white tho white tho white tho white tho tho tho thu white th. th. th. th. th. tho thoan. th. thoom. thoom. thoom. thoan. thoan. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. in a great mood to go in and talk about the film that we're going to talk
Starting point is 00:02:47 about today. Which is? All about evil from 2010. Now let me ask you a question. Yes. Have you ever seen All About Eve? The classic Betty Davis film. I feel like I have but I don't remember anything from it. Okay. Yeah. Starting point is 00:03:15 I loved it, yeah. Because it was an homage to so many different things. Yes. From John Waters movies to Herschel Gordon Lewis movies blood feast and gorger gorg gorg gorg girls you know I've not seen them oh we should do blood feast sometime it's amazing there is a character what does his name fulad Ramseys okay that does cannibal feasts but doesn't tell them if they're cannibal feasts and says things like have you ever had an Egyptian feast? What? It's the most bizarre. It's like this super super super super low budget
Starting point is 00:03:54 Gore movies from the 60s. Okay. By this man named Herschel Gordon Lewis who went on to invent or perfect. I can't remember which You know all those mailers that you get that are just garbage that you throw immediately into the the the the th. the th. the th. the the the the the the the the the the they. they. they. they. Yes, that's his fault. Oh well good for him he's kept our fucking services in place for all these years. Yeah yeah yeah and made trash. Well that part's less good. You know you put in their, their their part part part part part part part part part. their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Starting point is 00:04:45 It's really fantastic. But let's talk about it. Oh, we thought we were done. It opens with a marquee that says Wizard of Oz. Yeah. And a little girl being told by a man that she has star quality. Yeah. And I just thought, I am so glad no one ever told me I had star quality. Because I would have believed it and I would have been insufferable. Sure. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. And it's seemingly a very loving, doting father. Yes. And then we meet the mother who was dressed as the wicked witch of the west.
Starting point is 00:05:19 She looks fantastic. Fantastic. I don't understand how she was going to leave, given that this seemed to be mid-play. Well I think they were going to show the movie, but to start it off, I see. She was doing a little song. I see. Then why was she dressed as the wicked witch? Oh, just for, like, he was also dressed like, like, so she was like, like, like, the the stick there. Debbie comes out to sing a song
Starting point is 00:05:45 and a little kid yells, hey look it's Debbie Peenus, which do you think I like that because I sure is fucked it. Her name is Debbie Tennis. And I was like yeah that's what kids do. Debbie penis. See the earlier episode where I made fun of catness Everdeen's name. Oh yeah what did you think she should be? Oh yeah, the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's. th. that's. that's. that's. Oh, that's. Oh, that's that's that's thi. Yeah, the th. Yeah, th. Yeah, that's the th. Yeah. Yeah, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I th. I th. I's the. I's the. I's t. I's today. I's today. I's today. I's today. the. I's think she should be? Oh, uh, Cat Piss never clean. I've got me a lot more this time I have to say. It's the champagne! It's the champagne. Boy doesn't make everything so funny. I wrote here, oh no, I hope Alan is okay right now with the peeing on stage.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Were you upset? Do you think I was heartbroken seeing this happen to a child? Yes, I do. Yeah. Because as we know it was revealed in a very early episode of WhereWulf Ambulance. We gave away the game, Alan. You think I should have held on to this fact? I think we should have realized that maybe people who didn't know us might listen to the show someday? When I was in fifth or sixth grade I peed myself on stage because the teacher wouldn't let me go to the bathroom. Were you a tree? You were a tree? No, I was a Epimetheus, Prometheus's brother. That's right. In a play that we were doing at school.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I don't know where I got that you were a tree. That's fine. It's fine. I was wearing a little towgunn't shha shhoe and shhoe shhoe and shoe shoe and shoe shoe she toware toware, toware, toware, you toware, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you were a towar, you were a little tow tree, you, you were a tow, you were a tree. tree, you were, you were, you were a t, you were a tree, you were a tree, you were a tree, you were a tree, you were a tree, you were a tree, you were a tree, you were a tree, you tree, you tree, you tree, you tree, you tree. tree. tree. tree. tree. tree. tree. tree, you were a tree, tree, tree, tree, tree, tree, you were a tree, tree, you were a tree, you were a tree, you were a tree. tree, you were a tree, yeah. Oh, baby. Yeah, just like they saw her pee. Yeah. And her witch mother laughs at her. Well, because the pee gets on the cable of the microphone when she touches it, it shocks her. That's not how that works. Having spilled a lot of liquid on a lot of mic cables in my life. You think that made me laugh. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. So thk, thcuted and her mother is cackling.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Cackling like a witch. As the Wicked Witch of the West, which is very funny. I was just like, oh man, piss-based electrocution is always funny. I mean, even if it's child. Yeah, for sure. Sorry, kids, but we're going to laugh. Hey kids, don't get piss-based-elected then, if you don't want us to us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us us to laugh us to laugh us to laugh us to laugh us to laugh us don't want us to laugh. And so we see that Debbie Pienus has now had, she has a white streak in her hair from getting electrocuted by your own urine. It looks so cool. I wish I had a white streak of my hair from getting electrocuted by my own urine.
Starting point is 00:07:53 We can say what we can do later. I just don't think that's really that possible. Yeah, I mean there's a whole don't whiz on the electric fence. I don't think it's going to do anything. I just don't think there's a way to shock yourself with your own urine. If I'm wrong, right in. Are you that beer scientist? If you are, get in toucest. I feel like that person knows about electrocuting yourself with urine. That guy right now has his head in his hands. What are these two drunk more ones talking about? And then we get a great opening credit sequence. I was yelling like, Natasha Leo, guess I had Drew Peterson! And it's all, all their names are showing up in lieu of the names of 50s monster movies. Yes. It looks so good.
Starting point is 00:08:45 It looks great. Yeah. I was very excited by this. And then we get to present day at the SF San Francisco Public Library. And where Debbie Tennis Works, Natasha Leone all grown up, white streak in her hair, very frumpy wearing like a cardigan and a bun. I was not used to seeing her frumpy, wearing like a cardigan and a bun. I was not used to seeing her frumpy. She's always so fashionable.
Starting point is 00:09:07 She's very glam, yeah. God, but she can do anything, though, can't she? She's really perfect. She's great. Yeah. It's funny, like, I've been watching, the Hollywood reporter does these actor roundtables. And they're like these hour-long things, they're all, th and tho-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, th-s, tho-s, tho-s, tho-s, she-s, she's th-s, she's th-s, she's thoom, she can't thoomomomom! She can't thoom! She can't, she can't, she can't, she can't, she can't, she-s, she-s, she-s, she-s, she-s, she-s, she-s. tho-s. She-s. She-s. She-s. She-s. She-s. She-a-s, she-a-s-s-s-s-s-a-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-a-s-s-s. She can't-a-s. She can't-s-a-s-sha-a-sha-sha-s. She can't-s. She can't-s-a-s are all over YouTube. They're all over it. But there were two with the Tasha Leo. And so I was like, I'll watch those and prep for this. And she's just a fucking delight. Is she? Because she's very honest and open about her life.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Yeah. I like the troubles that she's had. Like she was talking about how she got hired on us in orange is the new black. She's like, I've committed enough. I. I. I've th enough. I've th enough. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've just just just just just just just just just th. I've th. I've th. I've just just just just just just just just just thi thi th. I've just like, I've just just just just like, I've just just just just just just just just just just just just just th. I've just just just just just just just just just just I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've just just just just just I've th. I've the th. I've the th. I've the the th. I've just th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th. I'm just just just just just know what this is. Oh man. And, but she's just like super supportive of everybody around her and like super kind and like self-deprecating and she's like, I know that I'm basically a female Joe Pesci, I understand that. No, she's really not though. But like the voice. Gorgeous, yeah, yeah. I mean, Joe Pashy, no, don't do that. I'd say it so man. Hey, he could pill Marissa Tomey. He's got to have something going for.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Now that's a beautiful woman too. There's no person in the world I'd rather smoke a cigarette with than Natasha Leon. Oh yeah, she recently quit. So, yeah, me too. Yeah, I'm sure you guys can vape. Yes, absolutely. So the woman who plays the Wicked Witch, who I at this point realized, is her mother, shows up and is talking to her about selling the theater? Is that where we are here? Yeah, because dad has died.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Dad has died. Oh, she's like her librarian who she works with Evelyn. This is the woman from the John Waters, right? Yes, Ming Stoll. Yes, yeah, yeah. Okay. And she's like, you know, you can be a librarian. It'll be great. You don't have to worry about running your dad's theater. And she's like, no, the show must go on. And also librarians make shit money, which is bullshit.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Yeah, for sure. Also, hi, Emily and Bridget. They give us books. We should celebrate tell the weirdo to stop looking to pornography in the library. You've got to put your dick away or you're not going to be allowed back. Yeah, that's a tough job. That's a tough job. Pay them more money. Ha!
Starting point is 00:11:15 Ha! Gah! So, Blood Feast at the theater, which I was very excited about. Oh, okay. Yes. The aforementioned. And Mr. Twigs is her... Projectionist? Projectionist? Thank you. I love Mr. Twigs.
Starting point is 00:11:32 He is fucking fantastic. He looks so much like old Vincent Price. Yes! Like Vincent Price from Edward Scissorhand. Yeah. Oh, so sad. Oh, that was one one god, yeah. That was one of my Nenna's favorite movies. Oh, the movie's so great. She thought Johnny Depp was hot in it. I never
Starting point is 00:11:49 got that bit. He's got like a Robert Smithian quality. Yes, and that doesn't make him hot. Or, counterpoint. Oh, Twig is like, yeah, I've got to run out. why he used to get mouthwash? I don't know, but it's very funny. It's the weirdest thing. So that's what he runs outside. He runs into Wicked Witch of the West mom. Right. And she's like, you're fired because I'm going to get her to sell this thing. So here's $20 a severance pay. Right. He says he's outside the theater. Yeah. And he's, her, the mother
Starting point is 00:12:25 says to her, your father wanted you to be an actress. We both know he was demented, which is a line I fucking loved. Besides, you read too much. And then she burns Debbie's hand on the popcorn maker because she won't sign the release form, whatever. Yeah. But first she says bed, Beth and beyond is going to pay big bucks to tie to to to to to the to be the the to be the to be the to be the the to be the the the to be their the their their their their their their their th the the thi thi thi the the thi the their thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their theirs. theirs. Wea. Weaughes their their the sales agreement? Yeah. But first she says Bed Bath and Beyond is going to pay big bucks to tear this jump down, which I just think, I don't know, all the mom's lines are written in such a way that just really fucking tickles me.
Starting point is 00:12:57 What's uh, Joshua Grinnell is the writer and director of this who is Peaches Christ. Should I know who Peaches Christ is? I just know them from like Twitter and stuff and I think, I can't remember where else would have seen them, but they're like kind of big on horror Twitter and yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can tell I haven't been checking our Twitter much, huh? Um, and but like, they're the huge drag queen that's, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I, I, I, like, like, like, like, like, like, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th.. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm. That's peach is great. I just don't know much about drag culture, I guess. No. I'm glad people like it, but pageantry is not really for me. I feel like it's a thing that like if I just made the decision to start going, I could
Starting point is 00:13:37 get really into. I think maybe you and I should just sit down and watch a season of RuPaul's drag race for an entire day. Yeah, I'd love that. And just get progressively drunk and eat more pizza as we go. More pizza. Yeah, yeah. Would you guys like to have a day long watch along with us? I will wear sweatpants. There will be many farts. Oh, so many farts. But like, I mean, because I just love the subversiveness of drag culture, but also like the celebr, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the the the the the subversiveness of drag culture, but also like the celebratory nature of it and like
Starting point is 00:14:05 it always seems like such a positive thing. Totally. I'm glad it's a thing that people love. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm a big friend. It feels like musical theater to me in the way where I'm like, that's great. I don't, I can't, I don't know how to do. I just can't stand it with people breaking a song while they're talking. Just fucking have the conversation, Brian. Anyway Natasha Leon stabs her mother with the pen in the neck and she keeps yelling kill her mommy kill her in the Mrs. Vorey's voice from the first, I fucking loved that. See this is one of many beautiful, like, homages to horror films. In a different movie, we would have been like,
Starting point is 00:14:49 fuck you, how dare you take Friday the 13th name in your mouth? I wonder, like, it was been like, dancing, you're not allowed to do this. But because our hero Natasha Leon is doing it, we're like, oh, it's it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's a's fucking great. But it all it's all it's all context and it's all like how it's delivered and how it's presented because this is not done with like she doesn't turn to the camera and go do you get it? And she's doing the same voice as Mrs. Vorey because Natasha Leone is very funny and she can do voices and it's so good. Yeah yeah. She's a genius. Oh, I love her.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Have you, you've watched Pokerface? Uh, no, I watched, um, Russian doll. Yeah. Was there a second season to that? I haven't watched the second season yet. I just, there's so many baseball games that I have to watch. Pirates are in first place. Again? I don't know. They're back in. They were as of two days. the baseball. their baseball. their. their. their. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. P. I haven't looked at the standings because they lost two games to the worst team in baseball, so I don't know. Listen, what? Baseball? Talking to you big baseball, there's too much of you. You see 162 games is too many. You want to shorten them? Have fewer. Do you want some more? Drip? Do you want some more? Drip. Oh boy. Oh, what a fun day. What a fun day we're having. Death's indictment, Natasha Leon.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Great day. So when she kills her mom and she says, kill her mommy, kill her, this whole thing is being caught on tape from the security camera. Yes, the surveillance footage. But I love when she's like, she's getting bathed in her mother's neck blood, and she, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what the, what the, what the, what the, what the the th, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what a fun, what th, what th, what th, what th, what th, what th, what th, what th, what th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th. And th. And th. And th. And thi, and she's thi, and thi, the thi, thi, the fun, the fun, the fun, the fun, the fun, the fun, the fun, the fun, what a fun, what a fun, the thi, and tape from the security camera. Yes, the surveillance footage. But I love when she's like she's getting bathed in her mother's neck blood and she just starts rubbing it on herself and like really getting into it and she keeps like going to rub her boobs and like no I'm not gonna do that. No I'm not gonna do that. And she's like cool I'm glad you didn't go full like I'm getting off on killing my mom. But you definitely were. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:45 And so inside the theater, there are people waiting to watch Bloodfeast. There's like four Goths in this team named Stephen. There are two Goths with the exact same bangs, sitting three seats apart. And you're like, is that the only thing you can think of about Goths? Okay, all right. I'm thi, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that's, is the only, is that's, is the only, is that's, is that's, is that's, is that that that that the only the only, is the only, is that that that that that that that the only the only the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only, is the only the only. the only the only the only the only the only the only the only the only the only the only the only the only thi. thi. the. theat. theat, is theat, is theat, is the only only only only only only only only thing, is the only only thing, is the only only thing, is the only only thing, is. I'm convinced that everybody in the theater scenes were just friends of the production. They were just like, could you guys show up on Wednesday? Yeah. Apparently horror fans can't chant Start the movie because they're all like, start the movie, movie, start it, the
Starting point is 00:17:15 movie. It's such an easy chant. We lack rhythm. We don't, we don't go to sporting events to learn this chance. But that one writes itself. It's start the movie. the movie. the movie. Start the movie. Start the movie. Start the movie. the movie. Start the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. to. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the. the. the. the. the. the. It'sthis chance. But that one writes itself. It's Start the Movie. Start the movie. You say that because it's like, let's go Pete Fros, it's the same thing you channel your baseball. It's wrestling, I don't know. That's sports entertainment. Anyway, Stephen looks like a square. Oh yeah, yeah, total nerd. Yeah, why is he cast in th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, the, th the, that, that, to that, the, th. th. th. th. to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to, to, to, to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to th. th. th. to to to to to to to the. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the. to to to the. the. to th nerd. Yeah. Yeah. Why is he cast in this role? I don't know, that guy, but he's gone on to have a career after this. Oh yeah, yeah, this is what, 2010?
Starting point is 00:17:49 2010. I had never heard of this before you mentioned it. No, I hadn't heard of it before the person just, it's just it. Thank you, Brandt O'Reilly. A sick pool. A whole week later. you remember that name. We're lucky I have it 20 minutes later, I'm sorry. Stephen comes out, does not see the body on the floor. Oh, wait, well, so they're channing for the movie to be, just to be started. Oh, that's right, he comes out, doesn't see the body on the floor, it goes back in. She tries starting the footage of her killing her mother. The thing is just that she would know how to use that protection period. 100%.
Starting point is 00:18:26 There's no way that Mr. Twigs never taught her. But also, it's very funny watching Natasha Lou and just bash every button that's in the room she's in. She is such a great frantic phase, or frantic mode, I guess, that like, you just want to watch her all day. She's a great face actor. Yeah, she's so expressive. Oh my god, do we just love her? This isn't the first movie we've done with her either. What was the first one we did? She's in hashtag horror. She's briefly in that as someone's mom. Wait, who's the other mom that's like that? Chloe 7-A? Of course, her best friend. We really need to do more Natasha Leone.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Has she been in other horror movies? Uh, which she's in that, well it's not a horror movie, it's the Clia Deval movie, uh, but I'm a cheerleader or? Oh, but I'm a cheerleader or whatever? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's see here. Apparently she was in a horror movie in 2016 called Anti-Birth. Oh yes, that was directed by a friend of mine. Really? Oh, he's having seven years and that too. Of course she is.
Starting point is 00:19:32 How do you have a friend that directs movies? You never mentioned it to me? Uh, I don't know. How are Jack goes home that she's in. Okay, okay. It stars Rory Colkin. Sorry, was it Jack goes home or Jack goes home? Jack goes home. Hey, it's Jack goes home. Jack goes home.
Starting point is 00:19:57 I got some actors in there. There's one called Vampires from 1998. Oh wow, it should have been a little baby. Who? Caspar Van Deane, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, so? Sorry, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Sorry, sorry. Sorry, sorry. Sorry, sorry. Sorry, sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. I th. I th. I th. I thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th called Vampires from 1998. Oh wow, it should have been a little baby. Casper Van Deen's in it? Who? I know. Oh you know. He's the guy. Stars of Troopers. Oh no, he's the guy from Sleepy Hollow. Yes. Well we've done both those fucking movies, Alan. Okay, well if you ever want to do vampires from 1998, put it on the list. Okay. Oh my god god she looks so cool. So Twiggs comes in sees the murder on the big screen and he's like oh that's a good girl. He loves it.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Is it just because he can keep his job? Well she was rude to him. No I know. And he apparently apparently loves murder. He does. He loves it. He actually says, add a girl. At a girl. And you're like, all right. And then she's watching it and she's like, this is great. I am a star. I have a question about the Victoria Theater. Yes. The people are clapping for this short, but aren't they there to see like, I don't know, like Jason X? Blood Feast? Bloodfeast yeah. So Jason X. But like if you you know you get a short before the movie this is going to be exciting. I've never been to a movie that they showed a short before. What? Yeah. When I've been to the 24-hour horror movie marathon in Philadelphia, they would have like, they would show shorts in between movies and stuff. I'm sorry where? The exhumed 24-hour? What city? What? What? What? What? What? What? What? the? the? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? Oh? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I? I'm? I'm? I? I'm? I? I'm? I'm? I'm? I'm? I'm? the the the the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the.. the....................................................... th..... th. th. th. th. th. the. to? to. th. to. to. to. th. to. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. show shorts in between movies and stuff. I'm sorry, where? The exhumed 24-hour? What city? Philadelphia? I haven't heard of it. It's the big city in the state you live in. Harrisburg? In what world? It's the city that has way worse air quality than us right now. Oh, Philadelphia. Yeah. I heard of it. So Mr. Twig can really think quickly on his feet.
Starting point is 00:21:46 He hides the body in the attic, which I don't think is a great idea, but you know. Well, it's so high up that no one will smell it. Is that how smell works? Is that how smell works? I don't know. They call the film surveillance slaughter. They too. The names of these movies are so good. Yeah. They are. Well, I think a tale of two severed titties is a real miss. It's a miss, but it's so funny because it's such a shitty miss.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Yeah, exactly. This is where we learn that Stevens in high school, which is wild. And Cassandra Peterson's like, you'll always be my baby, because that's his mom. Here's the thing. Yeah. So this kid is sleeping in a room with a poster of his mom's tits behind him. There he's got a full-on Elvira sexy poster. Fine, but that's because Andrew Peterson. Yeah, she's right there. She's making ebreky.
Starting point is 00:22:39 I hate this part. It makes me uncomfortable. I think it's very funny though they have a poster of his mom in the room. Okay. Yeah. Because she's not his mom in the movie because they're two separate people. Right, she's not Elvira. She's Cassandra Peterson.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Exactly. Or Stephen's mom. And also, I think when she is acting against other people, you're like, oh, that's right. She's a really good actor. She's. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's lovely, she sure is, yeah. So then there's going to be another showing at the theater. Yes. And this woman walks in and she's on her cell phone as she walks up. She puts it down to talk to Natasha Leone. Yeah. And then walks away back on her phone. I don't see what than than than to than to than. I than. I than. I tho. I tho. I tho. I thu. I don't see. Yeah, but even if she's new in town, someone would recognize her because she's like,
Starting point is 00:23:33 I'm just so glad to have found this place. I'm having such a great time here.that every goth girl in the theater has. Oh, you think she's interchangeable. Here's a question. Tell me if this is too far of her reach. Okay. I think she's named Veronica because she looks like Veronica from the Archie comics. I think that's very possible. Okay. Yeah. So, uh, when she's talking to Deborah. Oh right, Debbie Tennis's name, change her name to Deborah Teneese. I love the idea of pronouncing your own name with a different emphasis O. N. Oh, thank you, Katai. I just think it's very funny. This woman is also talking to her mother on the phone and she's like, you had spaghetti for dinner, that's my favorite, which is very cute. And she's like, you had spaghetti for dinner? That's my favorite. She was just very cute. And she's like with Parmesan or cheddar.
Starting point is 00:24:28 And I was like, who the fuck eats spaghetti? My, everyone of my relatives just rolled over in their fucking graves. Do you have chili mac for dinner? Jesus. Chili Mac is weird. I love it. Yeah. She also says I'm a Gorgor girl, which is another Hirsor Gordon Lewis movie. Yeah. And I believe she's there to see blood orgy of the She Devils. I don't know what that is but that's a great
Starting point is 00:24:54 fucking title and Danzig sad he didn't think of it. Oh yeah, yes. He's trying to figure out how to rearrange the words. He has them all written. the the words. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the the the words. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He has them all written on like little pieces of paper on a table and he's switching them back and forth. She of the blood devils? No, that's not going to work. That's too close. This isn't what Danzig sounds like? No, I don't know why. This is the guy from Beavis and Buddheds sounds like. I was thinking of Hank Hill. I was thinking of Hank Hill. You're right. I am. My my that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's not, that's not, that's not, that's not, that's not, that's not, that's not the that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's not. I love him. You're going right into Paul Bear now. You're right, I am. My undertaker. I drink too much champagne. I'm so sorry. I and they love it. Okay. Well, they might not, but you do. That's good enough for me. So Veronica gets knocked out. She puts some knockout powderout powder that keeps Deborah puts some knockout powder into Veronica's drink. Yeah, you're just like why is she poisoning this lady? She seems nice. Yeah, so she can make another movie. That's exactly it. So Twigs approaches her in a robe with an axe and filming. She wakes up in the
Starting point is 00:26:03 the theater and she starts wandering around. Twigs, Mr. Twigs with the axe and the little video camera on his shoulder is such a fucking delight. It's so funny. And then what happens? What is it? So she runs into a room when a door opens. And she finds DeBora knitting wearing some Marie Antoinette shit.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Yes, she's like, what are you wearing? And Debora says, I do love that she yells, what are you wearing? She says, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I love a tale of two cities reference. But Mr. Twigs has also already ripped off, uh, what's this woman? Veronica's just titties to the wind. Titties to the wind. And when she says, who was the best of times?
Starting point is 00:26:52 It was the worst of times, Veronica's. That was a flashback! What does that mean? I don't know. And I was like, I don't remember our tale to the two cities well to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to know well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well to know well to know to know well to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to to to to to the to to the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. I ta. I ta. I ta. I ta. I ta. I ta. I to. I to. I that's a flashback sequence. I mean a flashback to the 1800s? I guess. So they reveal that there's a guillotine in the room. Do you say guillotine or guillotine? Giatine, one huendo. Look, we're not British.
Starting point is 00:27:13 We, do you, would you say filet a fish or fillet? Would you say herbs or herbs? You fucking assholes just let it go. I know you hate the French but come on you sound dumb. I'm out from Pittsburgh. So Twigs has built the guillotine but the hole is not big enough for Veronica's head to go through. Normally you went to the hole to be able to be separable so you can then put their heads through and then reconnect it. He has just cut a hole. It's about the size of, I don't know, a tennis ball. It's about the size of a titty. A titty. And she gave it her head through so Deborah says, I've got an idea. First, Deborah says she's just gonna get a much-needed nose job. DeBora, how fucking dare you? The film is called A Tale of Two Severeed Titties, which really feels like something we'd have come up with, you know? It's no pair of normal act of titties.
Starting point is 00:28:12 It really isn't. I mean, someone needs to make that short. But I do love that she's like, I've got an idea, and then it cuts to the poster of a tale of severed tittes. Yes. And there the the the the the the th thi thia thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, titties. And there's a huge crowd to watch this short. This one guy just fucking loves titties as soon as they come on he's like pointing and jumping. Is that what you men do when they see titties in the movie? You know it is. So yeah they guillotine or titties one at a time. Yeah. There's a disapproving lady in the in the I don't like that. No I like that about her. And then she turns it into a silence your cell phones ad. Yes. Fucking hysterical. Very good. Very, very, very good. Even in France, cell phones are rude. Yes. It's so good. We then meet Stephen's best friend Judy, who is talking about suicide girls, which
Starting point is 00:29:08 is a thing I had totally fucking forgot about. Is that still a thing? I don't know. Can't be. Anyway, she's also in high school, but she's older than me, I swear to God. But in a 45-second scene, she references Orson Wells, Peter Jackson, Rembrandt, and Vincent Price. It's beautiful. Is it? Yeah, I really like it. Yeah, that's a bit much.
Starting point is 00:29:33 I like that. I like, thrown, and then as they're walking away, he goes, I like because the Lord of the Rings movies are already out of this point. So like... Oh, right, it's 2010. But they're obviously referencing his earlier horror films. Was it Brained Dead? Yeah, yeah, and yeah, there's, I can't remember what the other one, meet the feebles, and bad taste is one we should do at some point. They recorded, they shot it over three years on
Starting point is 00:30:05 weekend, I think it was three years, it was some length of time that like Peter Jackson's body drastically changed his shape throughout the movie. Is that when he loses a bunch of weight? I think it like loses and gains and yeah it's just very funny. Yeah, but it was like in the late 80s that he made the movie. Early 90s maybe. Anyway. In th. In th. In th. In th. In th. In th. In th. In the th. In the th. In they. they. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. they. their, they. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.the movie. Early 90s maybe. Okay. Anyway. In this scene, Stephen also says there's never been a great female horror filmmaker. Yeah. In 2010? Yeah. And Catherine Bigelow turns over in her grave.
Starting point is 00:30:37 She's alive and well. Just not a near dark fan. No, I guess not. It's a great movie. It's got that one character that you hate. That's allowed. The little brother from Teen Witch. So the popular girl comes over and starts to talking to Stephen. Claire Cavana. And you can tell she's popular because she has a bejewled phone. Oh, I thought you're going to say that you could tell she was popular because she has two friends. She has like little toddies which I like a lot.
Starting point is 00:31:07 When Stephen's friends are talking and there's like the one woman and the guy and the guy's like did you like when you saw those titties? You said you're a bye right? Yeah and the girl's like oh yeah I guess. It was very funny. the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thin's like, th. th. th. th. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. S. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. Yeah, I guess. It was very funny, because dudes say dumb shit. They're so stupid. We cut back to Deborate Teneis, who is now getting a blowout, blowing out her hair and wearing lipstick and eyeliner. And she says something like about how Evelyn, which is Mink Stoll, a fellow librarian, has been like trying to contact her and saying that she was supposed to work, and she's like, I can't go back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back back, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm not, I'm th-a, I'm th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I, I, I, th., th., th., th., th., th., th., th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, thi trying to contact her and saying that she was supposed to work and she's like, I can't go back there, I'm not a librarian anymore. She's put in your fucking two weeks, man, and don't show up again. You gotta do something.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Because Evelyn has been like dropping notes for her and stuff. She's worried about her. She is. Oh, we forgot to, the popular girl wants Stephen to take her to the horror movies because she heals it so cool. Because he knows Deborah, Debora, Debora, Teneese. But later when it comes time for them to meet, I don't understand why she wanted to meet Debora, but okay. She's so cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:21 Is this where we find out about the twins? Yes, because they need to hire new people to work for them. Right. So she sees the two killer twins are being released from prison. The woman at the mental institution says, we can't guarantee that they are no longer dangerous. And I was like, that I don't think you can let them out, ma'am. I like that they both look like carbon copies copies of, Sel, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, th. And I was like, that I don't think you can let them out, ma'am. I like that they both look like carbon copies of Selma Blair. They do, though. I feel like I've seen them in something else though. I feel like it was a season of American horror story or something. That makes sense. That checks out. Yeah. They also have like almost the same name, which I feel like I'd murder my family if they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th. I they th. I feel they th. I feel liked I feel liked. I thed thed the. I the theeeeeeeeee. theeeeeee. tho theeeeeeeee. I tho theeeeeee. I they're they if they gave me almost the same name as my twin sister. Veda and Vera? Yeah. Yeah, it's no good.
Starting point is 00:33:06 I wonder what people are thinking when they do that. I don't know. Yeah. We already know their twins. Yeah. They know the twea. You're not like, yeah. It's just very strange. It's like you. Yeah. The names, I mean the girl that was by that you said that the guy asked her, did
Starting point is 00:33:26 you like that? Her name is Lolita. I thought, who names a daughter Lolita? I don't think anyone. No. No. It's a bit tainted, that name means a thing. Does it? Does it the, does it? Does it? Does it? Does it? That was one of the things that Natasha Leon talked about that she was like 14 or 15 and she tried out for that most recent Lolita film, the one star Jeremy Irons I could. And they were like, okay, can you eat this banana for us in like the when she was like trying out for the movie during the audition? And she's like you want me to... Oh you want me to eat the banana? the banana? the banana? the banana? the banana? the banana? the banana? the banana? the banana? to eat the banana? to eat the banana? to eat to eat the banana? the banana? that? that? that? that? that? that? that? that? that? that? that? that? that? that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that? that? that? to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to eat to eat to eat to eat to eat to eat to eat to eat to eat the batoe? to eat the batoe? to to to to to be to to be toe? toa? that? that? that? that's that? that's that? that? that's that? that's to to like the when she was like trying out for the movie during the audition and she's like you want me oh you want me to eat the banana. Yeah I'm good. Yeah I feel like I would have just eaten the banana and stared them in the face the whole time. Just aggressively chewing the banana. Yeah. But yeah because there was the same, like the roundtable session where L Fanning was talking about how she didn't get a movie when she was like the the the the the th th th th th th th th th to th to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to to to th to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you th. th. th. th. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, there was the same, like, the roundtable session where L. Fanning was talking about how she didn't get a movie when she was like 14 because she wasn't fuckable
Starting point is 00:34:29 enough. Oh no. And it's like, yeah, no, that's what? See, this is why I'm glad no one ever told me I had star qued. Because Hollywood is gross. the whole thing is gross. Here we are now. Debora and Mr. Twiggs witness a man beating a woman with her cane and they don't do anything about it and then they hire him.
Starting point is 00:34:50 They hire him. He's great. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He really is great. He's so over the top and redonculus. We are also, this is cut with scenes of Stephen in his like school
Starting point is 00:35:06 classroom, his teacher thinks he's a school shooter. Right. There's a bulletin board about the outsiders. I was like, I read that in sixth grade. How old is Stephen? He's into an older woman, a way older woman. Yeah, because he's 11 apparently. She's like 25. Yeah, I don't know what is happening here. But he's in a very remedial English class. They also reference the Columbine killers, but give them a different name like Murray McMahon or something. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:42 That is not, what? Let's not be too gross. Putting this all on the Scottish Murray McMahon. Maybe I misheard the line. I mean, you know how that goes? I like that Vera and Veda are immediately like on board, but never say anything. They're so menacing. They're great. They also have very different scowls, which I like a lot. You can tell which of them is scowling, yeah. But it's also very much like they are disinterested and or hate everyone around. They're so cool. They're so disaffected.
Starting point is 00:36:15 But so willing to be lackeys. Yes. And to wear this cute little like movie the the movie theater. Like bell hop costumes, yeah. And the twins twins twins twins the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they're their their their their their their they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they's. they's. they's. they's. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're their their their their too. too. too. too. toe. toooooo. their their their their their their their their their their their their theater like bellhop costumes yeah so the and the twins seemly hate the bad teeth guy the guy who beat the woman to death Adrian yeah I don't know what their deal is with him but it doesn't seem warm he doesn't seem cool no he doesn't seem cool his eating scene is a very I can't watch that he's just shoveling french fries into his mouth with all his fingers. Like every last bit of his finger skin is going into his mouth. And Debora says, don't ever do that in front of me again. God bless her. Yeah. Put your foot down. Yeah. So the teacher has like reported Stephen as a potential school shooter. Yeah. So now he's grounded? Yes. And Lolita and Jean have gotten detention for being friends with shooter. Yeah. So now he's grounded? Yes, and Lolita and Jean have gotten detention for being friends with him.
Starting point is 00:37:09 Right. So Judy's on the phone with him and he's like, yeah, I'm grounded. She's like, so when he's wanna do this weekend? And I was like, are you even listening, Judy? Are you even fucking listening? Are we supposed to be implying at this point that Judy's into him but he's not into her. I think so. Okay. Which is probably because she sucks. Yes. She's like the kind of girl who flirts by putting down everything you like.
Starting point is 00:37:33 Oh, negging. Is that no nagging? That's naked? Is that nagging? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She hates everything. She hates everything I like. She's so cool. Wow, that's better than me. Yeah. Yeah. Well, she hates. She th. She th. She th. She th. She th. She th. She's she th. She's she th. She's she th. She's she hates. She's she hates. She's she hates. She's she hates. She's she hates. She's she hates. She hates. She hates. She hates. She hates. She hates. She hates. She hates th. She hates. She hates. She hates th. She hates the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's th. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like. She's like the th. She's th. She's the th. She's th. She'sthan me. The borough Tannis and her gang have to shoot a new movie. So they're going to the library to take care of Evelyn. Right. I just have a note that says the twins look great, but I have no idea what they were wearing at this point. Oh yeah, they do look great though, whatever it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So like oh they picked her because she's someone you could off because she doesn't have family. But they don't do it in her home do they? No they do it at the library when the woman says good
Starting point is 00:38:11 night to the books. Yeah she's very sweet. Very sweet. They're like willing to trash the whole library for it. Yeah. This whole thing feels like a suicide. For sure. The their tho-a th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is th is thi sss thi ss thi ss thi ss thi sa thi sa thi sa thi. thi. the sa sa thoesa sa. thoes. thi. thi. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their their their their their their their their their their thi. thi. the the the the the the the. the. their the. their their their theeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. their their their thee. their the. their the. There's no coming back from what they're doing. They tie Evelyn up after they chase her around the library. And DeBora so's her mouth shut. Yes. In a very D. Snyder, Strangland kind of way. Welcome to my world. Welcome to my world. Guy. And the janitor shows up while they're doing this. Yes. And they kill the janitor. the janitor. the janitor. the janitor. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. thoe. thoom. thoes. thoer. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. thoes. th. thoes. th. thoes. th. thoe. th. thoe. th. thoe. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thoe. thoeauuuuuu. toeauu. Soeauu. Sooeauu. Sooeauu. Sooeauu. Sooeauauauauauauauau. this. Yes. And turns all the lights on at the library. Right. So and they kill the janitor. We don't see that happen and just the twins and
Starting point is 00:38:51 the guy come, what's his name, Adrian? Yes. They come back covered in blood and they're like, janitor's kicking care of. And they're getting, because the cut scene is to Stephen's bedroom where his mom Elvira is in the room with the poster of El Ira talking to him. It's just... And she's apologizing for yelling at him. She's a pretty good mom. Yeah, she seems to. And then there she is sexy on the wall.
Starting point is 00:39:14 He's sexy on the wall. Here, jerk off to your mom, kid? Maybe that's why the poster is behind him. He can't see it while he jerks off. He just knows it's there. She looks over his shoulder. She's like, no, that's good. Slow it down a little. Katie. What is the name of the movie that they shoot with Evelyn? Oh, fuck. I don't know. I didn't write it down the maiming of the shrew? I do love that though. I do love that.
Starting point is 00:39:46 And this is where the guy from the morning fog shows up to interview her. This guy's inexplicable. I don't get his deal. He's just over the top. I mean, like at some point the movie theater is on fire and he's just outside reporting and he's like, I guess I can't can't can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I guess I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can I can I can I can I can I can I can I can I can I can I can I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I guess I guess I guess I guess I can't I guess I guess I can't the the the the the locked doors. Oh man. So this is sort of the, um, the, the, everything's a big hit now. Deborah Teney's is a big hit.
Starting point is 00:40:13 She's made it big. And, uh, Stephen takes the rich girl, Claire and her bejewled flip phone to a show. And this is where she says that Deborah is ugly and looks like a drag queen. Yeah, the twins and the the drag queens in line are very offended about this line about her being ugly, which I liked a lot. It should be. She's beautiful. However, it's pretty rude to have hair that big at a movie theater. I think it was totally just so she could sit in front of Claire and block our view the movie. At. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. Yeah, thi. thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, the thi. Yeah, the the the the thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, the thi. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I I I I th. I thi. I thi. I thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I'm thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I'm togee. the the thea. I'm thea. thea. thea. the the thi. the thi. I was totally just so she could sit in front of Claire and block our view to the movie. At this point I'm kind of like, why is Claire here?
Starting point is 00:40:48 Why did she want to come? Because she didn't really want to meet DeBoer? No. She didn't really want to see the movie. I mean, she seems to want to bone down Stephen. She's like, my have to go pee. Right. And good for them. They're ready to shoot a movie at all times. Yeah. Oh, so she gets up and leaves while DeBoer is. That's right. That's right. That's right. Yeah. So Debor finishes her speech and busts into the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:41:22 Doing this like Irish Scottish accent, which is just fantastic. I don't know what she's supposed to be dressed as. I don't get this part at all. It's like, well, because the movie turns out to be called the Scarlet Leper. Yes, but why? Is she supposed to be doing like a goody good wife voice? Is that what that accent is? It th is, I th is, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is thi, is thi, is thi, is thi, is a thi, is a thi. ta. tog. tog. tog. tog. tog. tog. tog. tog. tog. tog. tog. togs.'s wild. She murders her in the toilet.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Just stabs the shit out of her. We never actually see this movie, which is a shame. We never see the final version of it. Right. Right. Because it ever gets edited, does it? No. We see clips clips of it, but not the whole thing. Um, and Evelyn is in the attic at this point and start screaming. Why is she still alive? I don't know. She screams her lips apart. Ouch. Yeah. And then Twigs runs upstairs and beheads her. Is this when she called, does she call him illiterate? Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:14 I like that a lot of us. She calls him an old fuck twice. Yeah. Oh man. So Claire is now missing because she's been toilet murdered. told. told. told. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the, the. the. the. th. th. th. the. the. the, thi. thi. thi's thi's thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. toe. th. toe. toe. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. to to to toe. to to toe. toeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea. toea. toea. th's been toilet murdered. Sure. And Stephen is the prime suspect by the teachers at school. They're so sure that Stephen is fucked up and I do not get why. Because he seems like a square to me. I think for the same reason that had Columbine happened before I was in high school, I would have been a prime suspect for this shit.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Look, Columbine happened when I was either a sophomore or a junior in high school. Kids like Stephen were not being. Well, he's always like drawing like beheadings in his notebook. That's true. And talking about horror movies. You have that preppy haircut. It's true. Yeah. Yeah, he was like a weird casting. He's a weird casting. I think he's a good actor. He's good and he's a good actor. He's good and he's good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's like th. He's like th. He's like th. He's like like th. He's like like like th. He's like like th. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's a good. He's like he's like like he's like like like like like like like like like like like like like he's like like like like like like like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's like. He's a the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. He's a the the the the the th. He's a the the the the the the the the th. He's a the the the the th. He's a th. He's a the th. He's a th. He's like. He's like a good actor, but he's a weird cast. He's good and he's cute, and those seems to be like the two main things that he was hired. He's really earnest. So, uh, yes, so, but they bring in a detective to interview Stephen and the detective like, finally because the police, the police aren't there when his, when uh, Claire's parents and the teachers are questioning about her whereabouts? Call the fucking cops.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Oh my God. And the detective's like, yeah, this kid's not a suspect, it's fine. Yeah, let him go about his business. Yes, because he's sitting in class and someone comes on the announcements and his attention students, Stephen has to go to the principal's office. Not how it works. Okay. Meanwhile, has set up an interview with DeBora. Yeah. And she's she's told DeBora that she's a
Starting point is 00:43:51 reporter, but what she tel Stephen is that she's doing a story for the school newspaper on self-hating women in horror. I got a little, I got a little roughed up about this. Sure. I don't, I fucking don't like Judy. So Judy while she's waiting for Debora Teneis. Yes. Is snooping. Hardly. It's under a piece of paper. That's snoopin.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Okay. And she finds Claire's phone. It has most of the gems picked off and they've put all the gems into a little... And an ashtray like they might use use. I I I I I I I I use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use use. I I I I use use. I use. I use. I use. I use. I use. I use. I use. I use. I use. I use they use. I use they use they use they use they use they use they use they use. I might I might I they they they they they, I I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I I, I I, I I I I I I, I I I I I I, I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I. I I I I. I I I I I I. I I I I I I I I I I I I I I. I I I I I I I I, I they use I they use. We we we they use. We use. We'll use they use they use they might use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they'll use they use they use they gems picked off and they've put all the gems into a little and an ashtray like they might use them again. Because at one point Claire's like they're real. Yeah. What is that? Zor something? Yeah. I definitely had that cell phone though that flip phone. Sure. Judy puts the cell phone in her bra. Yes. And then... Why did she do that? Judy fucking sucks she cell phone in her bra. Yes. And then... Why does she do that? Judy fucking sucks.
Starting point is 00:44:47 She sucks and she's stupid. Because she knows that they kill Claire, because they have her cell phone. But she should just make a quick exit. And then use her cell phone to call the police. Dip and bring the cops in. But then, Detective Woods. Is this when they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they the they they the they they the the the the the the th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th go to the theater together? Oh no, that's later.
Starting point is 00:45:07 This is when DeBora is on like the morning show in the studio, where the unhoused guy is like a great makeup artist chasing off the other makeup artists. And I, in the scene, Debora is just smoking a cigarette on set. I just fucking love the idea of smoking wherever you want. It's just like such a power move. Seriously.. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. This. This. This is, th. This is, th. This is, th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th, th, this is this is this is this is this is this is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is this is th. This is this is th. This is this is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is th. This is the the the the th. the the the the th. the th. th I just fucking love the idea of smoking wherever you want. It's just like such a power move. Seriously. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:30 She's doing a lot of eye rolling, which is exquisite. She's basically channeling Betty Davis. Yes, she's fantastic. I feel like smoking wherever you is a big Betty Davis thing. And being disgusted by everyone who's communicating with you. And she has the little like heart-shaped lipstick on too, which is also very of the era of All About Eve, which is like 1951? That checks out.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Yeah. I mean we have to re-watch that. Yeah. I'm sure it's great. I feel like it's long. Sure. Sure. So Judy has been locked in the movie theater. Right. She's in the attic too now I think. There's a lot of people in this attic. Yeah, some dead, some alive. Why don't they just kill them on? Who knows? Because they have to save their deaths to be on screen. I guess so yeah. So? I mean she's really pumping out these movies too. Yeah. What's the new one called? Oh Slasher in in in the the the their in their in they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th. Because th. Because th. Because th. Because th. Because th. Because th. Because th. Because th. Because th. Right. th. th. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. Because. their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. So. So. So. So. So, the the the the the the the the the the the th. they's. the. the. th. they's. they the. th. the. th. th. the. th. the. th. the. the the the th. the the th. the pumping out these movies, too. Yeah, what's the new one called? Oh, Slasher in the Rye? Slasher in the Rye. Because they were reading Ketcher in the Rye in the high school. Terrible book. Terrible book.
Starting point is 00:46:33 Terrible book. Terrible book. That's a shit. Just like makes other people. . I read it when I was,, and I was like, oh, hold on coffee. And then I read it again as an adult, and I was like, fuck! Stupid.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Stupid. Stupid, teenagers are stupid. So mom is going to go to the movie theater because she wants to be part of her son's life and see what he's into. She's so inexplicable in the scene. Like that woman would be so ready to go home and she's like, no, let's just stay. The popular girls, Claire's friends are at the movie theater right now, like why, they wouldn't like these movies and their friend went missing here. What are they doing coming coming for the movie? Well, this is, that's after the detective that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's goes to the movie theater and sees the soup kitchen that they are getting recruits from the homeless population for their movies. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Because they're going to make their first feature-length film? It's insane. It's insane. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's very funny. At the premiere of the feature-length film, GORE at Peace. Yeah, it's a feature-length of the feature-length film is where Cassandra Peterson and the popular girls are. Yes, and the feature-length film, gore and peace. Gore at peace. Yeah, it's a feature-length. They are giving out little cups, little paper cups of something to take it to do a toast with. It's coolade.
Starting point is 00:47:57 With cyanide in it. Uh, one of the popular girls says, does it have booze in it? And the twins are like, yeah. And she's like, what about calories? It's like, well, if it has booze in it has calories, you dumb bitch. But they're just putting cyanide into a gatorade cooler right there behind the concessions. Like, ooh, okay. Peaches Christ says, ooh, very Jones told. Yes. And then they all just they all just, they all just they all just they all just they all just. take the cops. So Stephen at this point has realized that they've kidnapped Judy and that they are the bad guys, these movies are real, they've actually been
Starting point is 00:48:28 killing people. He's freaking out, he's telling everyone not to drink this, not to come, you know, whatever. And his mom's like, just come and sit down, just come on, come sit down. No, take him home. He's having a tough time. Yes, he's, oh my god. So the one friend of Clare's starts freaking out and yelling at Stephen and it's like chugging the cyanide Dixie cups. And I can't tell if the crowd is chanting drunk or chug, but either way they're doing it better than they were earlier. Yes. Well there's more of them now. That's true. Also there's a good lesson earlier when the detective comes and he's like, I can, you can let me search the place or I can come back with a warrant and she says, well, then come back with a warrant. Always make them come back with a warrant.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Yeah, never just cooperate with the police if you don't have to. Also, just wear all family mills. advice, take out the grain of salt. So the girl starts chugging the cyanide and then when we come back to her, her face is all bulbous and burnt looking? She, her face is all fucked, she starts barfing blood. But like, she wasn't reacting prior to that. Like, did she feel well until that moment that she started barfing the blood? I think so, because she was still yelling at Stephen. And Judy's other friends are just like lightly concerned about this. But no one is concerned about what's happening here.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Is this a nod to the Lumberto Bava film demons? When the girl gets scratched on the face by the mask and then turns into a demon? Sure. In a movie theater, nonetheless. In a movie theater and starts puking on people. Yes. Must be. Has to be. Yeah. Gotta be. Nice. So a bunch of people are chugging the stuff now.
Starting point is 00:50:12 They like it. Yeah. Yeah. And suddenly they realize they're all locked in. Yes. They're also like tit-shaped blood stains on the ceiling. And the the the the the the the the. And I I I I I I I I I I I I I I thoes, thoes, thoes, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t, t, t, t, tttttttttttttttttttttttttttooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. tttttit-shaped blood stains on the ceiling, and then maggots start falling from the ceiling, and I was like, that's very fulch. Yeah, very fulchy.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Because that's where the corpse of the woman from a tail of severed titties. They just put her tits down. Tits down. Tits down. T. So, Stephen goes and saves Judy because he hears her screaming. Well, fucking let Judy die. Shit.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Is that wrong? No, it's fine. And the greatest thing happens in this movie. What's that? Body started dropping from the ceiling. They sure do. And the guy with the bad teeth, Adrian, is threatening to kill, I think Peaches Christ. Okay. And the headless body of m m m m m m m minke of of of of of of of of of of of of of of of of of of of of the the the of the of thine thine thine the of the of the the of the of the the the the the the. the. the. the. the the. the. the. the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. that. that. that. that. that.ea. that. that. that.ea. that. that. thea. thea. thea I think, Peaches Christ. Okay. And the headless body of Minkstoll falls from the ceiling, landing neck first on his head,
Starting point is 00:51:12 forming a two bodies with no head. If you didn't see this movie, picture it like shoulder to shoulder, I guess. Feet down, feet up. It's very fucking funny. It's very good. And I don't think I've ever seen that in a horror William. No, that's new for me for sure. Very cool.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Yeah. The guys outside from Morning Fogg just broadcasting from outside. People are suffering right there. He's like, hi. It's me, Bruce. Do you still like these movies? Deborah grabs Cassandra Peterson and takes her up to the roof. Leave that mom alone. And Stephen tells Deborra that her dad would be ashamed of her. Right. And also, Mr. Twiggs has been murdered by being smashed to death with a reel, which
Starting point is 00:52:01 I thought was good. Also, why is the teacher there? She's just outside, what she's doing there? Go home Mrs. Luce. She wants to come and blame Stephen for something. Yeah, but yes, mom is on the roof. Yes. And so she shook by the knowledge that her father would be ashamed of her. But she also screams the audience is always secretly rooting for the killer, which I liked a lot. Yeah, yeah. And then mom stabbs the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. S. S. S. S. S. S. I's. S. S, yeah. And then mom stabs Deb. You don't stab a person and then she stabs her. And Stephen pushes her over the edge. Yes, which is a fantastic falling scene. Yeah, it's really fun. It's like a very slow mo from above like world-go-silent falling scene, but when she hits the ground, she spatters the teacher on blood, who has just been giving an interview on TV about how this is probably all Stevens'
Starting point is 00:52:48 fault first last name. I hope they sue her for defamation. Oh man. And then they're like, oh no, these twins are in on it. Yes. So the twins kill each, they look at the crowd, they look at each other, they each have a knife in their hands, they're like, all right, and they stab each other. But it takes a long time. And everyone just says, oh. And my last note is fun. Fun, fun. My own last note says this reporter is a real
Starting point is 00:53:19 gale weather in terms of sensitivity. It's a real piece of shit. Katie, Alan. I'm gonna ask you for a rating on this film. I'm gonna ask you for a rating first. Had you seen this movie before? I had not seen this movie before. Okay. Oh, you haven't heard of it until Brandt tole us about it. Yes, Brant, Brant, Tarkington.
Starting point is 00:53:35 But I am very grateful to have to have to have to have to. I'm going to give this movie an eight. Fantastic! That's a great rating. I want Pea's Grace to make more horror movies. Because much like last week, when we got to the Dark Ride, and I was just wallowing in the joy of being in that world, this entire film felt like that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Just wallowing and celebrating. And not like paying homage, but not necessarily ripping off movies that you love. Yes. So not House of a Thousand Corpses. But like, just like, yeah, it's really, really well done. Yeah, it very much has that vibe of like referencing things without being like, I know a thing, I know something. Yeah, it's very loving, isn't it? I mean, this is a stupid movie.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Oh, it's so dumb. It's deeply, deeply stupid. Yeah. It's so stupid. But it's so much fun to watch. And it's just so clearly made by people who love what the genre. Yeah, I think an eight. I was thinking about you when, thi, thi, thi an 8's appropriate. I'm going to give it an appropriate 8. And I was thinking about when you said like, you know, without saying, look, I know a thing,
Starting point is 00:54:50 it was almost like when you're at a party and you overhear a snippet of conversation, and like, did they just reference that thing that I think they referenced, you know, and you slip over and you're like, I just made a new friend. Yes, and th th th th th th the movie the movie th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th and you th and you th, and you th, and you thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi, thi, thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, exactly. And this movie felt like I made a new friend. Yes. It was really nice. A new friend. Oh man, who doesn't want a new friend? Take him or leave him. Katie.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Alan. Can I read you a couple of reviews that we've received recently? Oh, only if they're bad. You can leave us reviews on Apple Podcast or wherever you leave reviews.
