Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Katie. I'm glad we don't work in a morgue. I am glad we don't work in a morgue too. I don't think we have the tummies for it. Now, having one done two movies recently that take place in mortuary morgue situations.ations, I don't want anything to do with that stuff. Oh, See No Evil 2. Ah, the offering. Right, Sino Evil 2 and the Offering. This has been a morgue heavy summer for us. Yeah. Sheesh. Wait, what was Sino Evil 2? That's a friend, Kurt. That's the one with Kane. No, that's with Kurt.
Starting point is 00:00:45 That's with Kurt. I had fucking erased that movie from my memory. Also takes place in a morgue. It does take place in a morgue. Also, there was like a month where we did like five movies with evil in the title and they made no mention of it. No mention of it because I didn't realize it till Emily pointed it out. It's hard to be me. Pros.
Starting point is 00:01:06 We are pros at what we do. Fucking stupid. You know, I feel like a lot of podcasts, a lot of movie podcasts probably have calendars where they just like write down. You know, we are like, well in advance to be guests. No, like, we're like, we're like, hey, you want to do this, we're going to do it in like four months. We're like, yeah, we'll write it down. Maybe we should take this more seriously. Ah, speaking of serious things. Brian Cox. I'll tell you what, Brian Cox is the busiest man in the world. He must just walk from film set to film set, not caring about the genre or the tone,
Starting point is 00:01:51 or even his character's language patterns. He just does it all. Anything you want. The fact that that man was in Super Troopers. Yeah, I loved that movie. Of course you did. You smoked marijuana. I did, I loved that movie. Of course you did, you smoked marijuana. I did used to smoke marijuana. Yeah, yeah, back in the day. Back when I was a child. I also thought the movie
Starting point is 00:02:10 was very funny. It's very cute. But he was like, yeah, I'll do that. Me and Linda Carter seems like a real delight as a human being. Yeah. I think Rob Lowe isn't the second one? I don't think I ever saw the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, th. th. th. the, th. th. th. th. th. th. the, th. th. th. the, the, th. to, to, th. thi, the, to, to, th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. the, the, the, the, thi. the, thi. the thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. thi. thi. thi. Yeah, yeah. I think Rob Lowe isn't the second one. I don't think I ever saw the second one. Oh, it's fine. It's not as good, but it's fine. He can't recreate that magic. Yeah, you can't go back to that one. But like, so he's like, yeah, I'll do your weird little today. real good actor. He's a real good actor. He's like a Shakespearean master, isn't he? Okay, so yeah I think he's great. I think Amiel Hirsch playing his son is pretty good for not getting a whole lot really to work with. And it's mostly a two-hander of the film,
Starting point is 00:02:56 mostly just the two of them for the movie. I found Ophelia Love-Love Bond to be fucking adorable. Very cute, very obviously British, did you see her fucking face? And she's a terrible character. This big sucks. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:15 She was like, oh shit. I know you from an episode of Endeavor. I don't even know what Endeavor is. Endeavor is the prequel to Inspector Morse. That's right, I think you told me about this. I love Endeavor, it's fantastic. It's my favorite of that style of cop show. Great. But yeah, so yeah, that's my life.
Starting point is 00:03:37 That's what you're working on right now, huh? I'm about to get into the third season of Happy Valley. I've thi to to thia thia th th th th th th th th th th th thi th thi into the third season of Happy Valley. I've been saving it for a time that I really need it. I think I really need it. Yeah, I'm not ready to go back into that well yet. That is so vicious. Oh my God, that is one of the meanest of those detective shows. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:03:55 But I love all the actors in it. Sure. Yeah. Grantchester. That lady with the hair. That was the short guy with the funny voice. I love him. Yeah, the only other thing I know him, well no, he's been in a few other cop shows, but he's also in a... Our flag means death. I love it so much. God, why don't we just do a TV podcast instead of a movie podcast. Anyway, we're doing the autopsy of Jainto.
Starting point is 00:04:24 So this starts off in a house. With a shot of a backyard to which I wrote, is that a cardboard ashtray? That makes no sense. It's an anti-smoking ashtray. You like go up in flames if you try to use it? All right, all right. But I did like the, they did the thing of letting you know that this movie's gonna get a little weird. And how do they do that? Because the camera starts up upside down and then spins around to show you the house in, what is it, Grantham, Virginia that we're gonna go into? Even though everyone has Pennsylvania license plates?
Starting point is 00:04:56 Uh-huh? Yeah. And then I thought, whoathe body to VCU. Well, it's right at the Pennsylvania, Virginia border. Sir? Yeah, we're right butts right up against our borders? Borders, the bookstore. I gotta go. Where you used to work, yeah. So inside the house, there's a dead lady and a dead guy,
Starting point is 00:05:17 and a basement full of blood splatters. Yeah, and some more dead, yeah, yeah. And a man, yeah, the the th is, th is, th is, th is, the is, the is, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thatters, thators, that' that' that' thor, thor, the borders, borders, borders, borders, borders, borders, borders, borders, borders, borders, borders. Borders, borders. Borders, borders. Borders, borders. Borders, borders. Borders, borders. Yeah, borders. Yeah, borders. Yeah, borders. Yeah, borders. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th. And a distinctive profile of any human being, when he's like shadowed when you first see that cop? The sheriff? Yeah, yeah. I think he's from Game of Thrones. He's from Game of Thrones. He's been on some other stuff too. Not a season that I've seen.
Starting point is 00:05:33 But I just saw that he was from the attic. Sure. Yeah. Just a booby out right there. I wish we had the bell. We're in the annex tonight. It's too hot to be in the attic. Ding. You can get that in there, yeah. Yeah. There you go. Fix it in post. She's buried in the dirt floor.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Yeah. They've dug her up. She's just a boob. of this role like. I know. You put them on a glass for quick? You want to dump one out for me? I just thought like, she's like, mom, I got the title roll. And here the cob says, for now, she's a Jane Doe. And I was like, and that's where we got the title. So full disclosure, I had watched this movie at Ladies Nightmare shortly after it came out. And we were very excited for it. I think it had gotten hype.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I think a lot of people like this movie. I'd only heard praise for it. And we watched it, and I remember being like, oh, this is bad and like laughing at it. And like laughing at it, um, which you sometimes do when you're in a group. And I thi thi, so, okay, okay, okay, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, I that, I that, I that, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I that, I tha, I tha, I tha, I thi, I thi, I thi, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I tho, I th. I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I tha, I thin, I tha. I thin, I tha. I thin, I tha. I tha. I tha. I tha. I tha, I tha, I th time I'm going to take it serious yeah so I try to yeah serious Katie yeah so yes we get and we get the line from the deputy who says if I didn't know better it seemed like they were trying to break out rather than someone was trying to break in that lady is the best cop why is she not in charge the patriarchy got it we cut to the classic irreverent coroner blasting rock music while he cuts up a body. He just needs to be eating a big sloppy sandwich over the corpse.
Starting point is 00:07:10 But they're showing us a real gross one. Yes, I love the practical effects on this burnt up body with a one bulbous highball. Yes, it's very good. Also, there's nothing whatsoever about Brian Cox. It says I listen to loud rock music while I do my job. No, and he, his character is not like that. No. No.
Starting point is 00:07:34 It's interesting. I feel like all of the musical stuff was a, like a studio note that came in later. Because I don't think that that that song, like, the the the the the the they they they they they they they they they they they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were their, their, their, their, their, their, their, th. their, thatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheat. that's, that's, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's toooooooes. that'sthat song like how the radio changes to that song that like that has nothing to do with anything and I think that they were just like how will we know that she's got powers that is the worst thing in this movie I think it's one of the worst things okay okay okay yeah you know it's one of the best things yeah corpse. Corp's penis? Corp's penis? Do you think it's funny, a corpse's dick? Well, we have a new band name. I've worked corpse penis. I feel like that's been done.
Starting point is 00:08:10 I'll look it up. He's quizzing his son about how this corpse penis died. Right. Are you searching corpse penis right now? Corpse penis band, yeah. I should have used an incognito window. Corpse penis discography, yeah, they exist. Okay, okay. Well, maybe, do you want something to cry about, could do a split with them? Yeah, maybe.
Starting point is 00:08:35 The other, I mean, this, they're split with a PX, PX, GX came out in 202, so they're around. Are they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they a they a they they a por por por por por, they so they're around. Are they a porno grind band? That's a name that would make me think you were a porno grind. Oh wait hold up now, hold up now. Corpse penis is a single by door number three. Game show themed. Here's but really it's just something for you to watch while you listen to the song. Anyway, this song is not to be taken seriously. Don't tell me about the song. Well, the next thing I got is corpse penis eaten by rectum. Don't click on that.
Starting point is 00:09:25 That's the name of a band. And then I got the Wikipedia for death erection, angel lust. Yeah. Didn't I talk to you? Did I just told me about that? Wow, my world's collide. Can we? Let's move on. You're the one who indulged me in talking about corpse
Starting point is 00:09:46 penis, so who's really at fault here? I'm always here for a CP conversation. That's fair. So, the dad is quizzing the son on this, how this burnt-up man died and the son missed a very important detail about how this body was, this person was beaten to death before they were burnt to death. Or knocked down before they were burnt to death. Right, he says everybody has a secret. I guess that's revealed in an autopsy.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I wonder what mine's gonna be. I bet it's that I have Nelly lyrics tattooed on my butt. I bet it's that you swallow chewing gum. It's, I mean it can't all still be in there. Or, why would you not, think this through Alan, why would you not shit out gum? Why would your body not shit gum? No, it doesn't. Listen, your esophagus is made out the same material that school desks are made up. Here's what I need you to do. When we're done recording, I need you to go and swallow up a dime.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I was gonna say a penny, but I'm gonna be nice, a dime. And then just wait to shit it out. That's how long it takes for gum to come out. Uh, no. Okay. Your choice. I'm not your guinea pig. I know what will happen. You'll shit it out in a day or two. It's not gum though. Gums all sticky.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Not when you're done chewing it. It's all, oh, gross. It's not sticky anymore. I'm sick of this, I'm sick of people talking down to me because I have to swallow gum. And I do have to. It is a compulsion and I wish you wouldn't take me so... I have nothing, I'm sorry. I wish I could have kept going like Eddie Murphy. Thank you for not using the Edword. You're welcome. So Sun has plans with his girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Ugh, she sucks so bad. We learn that mom has passed away. The girlfriend comes in. Oh, first we see the morgue cat, Stanley. Oh, Stanley. Stanley? I guess this is in their house. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:00 So maybe don't let Stanley in the basement. Well he gets in through the air vents. Got it. Yeah. Stanley. Stanley. So we meet the girlfriend, Emma, who wants to see a body. She's like, why can't I see one? It's like, because it's a person, you bull. I do have to say when dad goes outside through the bunker doors that lead to the outside. Yeah. And he lights up that smoke. I was like, oh, I fucking know that feeling. You are a good actor Brian Cox. You know what Brian Cox is thinking and feeling. Yeah, that smoke after you haven't had one for a while,
Starting point is 00:12:34 and you're like not going to get in your car, you're not doing anything but going outside and having a cigarette. Yep, just stand in there. Yeah, that is just just just just just just just just just just just just their their their their their their their. Yeah, just just just just just th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, that th. Yeah, just th. Yeah, just th. th. Yeah, thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi thi thi thi thi th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. nice nice feeling. It is. Smoking is a great feeling. So yeah, Emma comes down to her, she's like, I want to see a body. And Brian Cox is like, oh yeah, go ahead, pick one. Like, why are you picking bodies? I hate you. I hate her. But then he does the thing where he's like raising his eyebrows, like, huh? This is gonna be funny. Yeah. I'm gonna really bust her I'm gonna really bust her balls here. He's telling her to look closely at the one that she chooses. That has a bell tied around its ankle. And then she scares it with the bell. Yeah, and its face has been blown off with a shotgun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:15 But it was filled withto unsee it. And she's going to do it anyway and then Brian Cox rings the bell. Well, it does a little tinkle. I liked it. It was great. So she's leaving with her boyfriend and she's like, you haven't told him that we're leaving, thi too distant past, and she's like, why don't you shove them down a well already? I just couldn't wait for her to die.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I'll also say her haircut was fucking fantastic. You like that? I liked it a lot. Yeah. But it looked really good. Yeah. But yes, she is a pain in the ass and she's just like wants him to stop dicking around around around around around around around around around to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to dicking around with her dad, with his dad and start dicking around with her. Right. Yeah. And as they're going to leave, the sheriff comes back with another body, which we understand to be the body of the booby lady. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Miss Janith and Doe. Yes. And he's like, I got to go back. I got to help my dad. Come back at 11. Grab me then. Nothing's gonna happen to you. We're not setting up anything for later. Not even remotely. Yeah. Just come back for that snazzy haircut you got. Stanley's growling at the body. He's a real Enzo about it. And the sheriff said something like, I've got four dead people down here and I need answers by the body. Yeah. He's a real Enzo about it. And the sheriff says something like, I've got four dead people down here and I need answers by the morning and I
Starting point is 00:14:48 thought who's the fourth one? Oh there were there were three bodies and then her. I thought it was the two elderly people. And there was another body. There was like the construction worker and the one who they think buried the body in the house. And then they they they they they they they they the the the the the the the the th th th the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. I was liked. I was liked. I was liked. I was liked. I was liked. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. th. th. th. th. th. they. th. th. th. they. they. they. they. The one who they think buried the body in the house. And then they thought the elderly couple came home and surprised him. I see, got it. That was what they were working with formula wise. I just could not figure out who the fourth person was. Okay. Also is it weird that they use Polaroids for their own autopsy photos given that you need them to be high quality? Yes. Yes. And they just seem to be like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they they they they they they they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they were. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. they. they. they. they. they. they just seem to be like photos for their own edification to have like up on the board so they could stare at her pubs later, I guess. I guess. She has really a nice trim for being from 1693. What? She's from 1693? Oh my god. She's also wearing one hell of American.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Like, it's, you don't think that's her pubs? I don't think she has the darkest, densest pubs that like no light could possibly penetrate. We also are told that her waist is just too small for her body. Maybe it's congenital and I thought, wow, I wish I had a congenitaly small waist. What the fuck are you talking about? I love when, so Austin comes in, he's like, given the sheriff grief for not following protocol, which is when he delivers, I have four bodies and I need them on my desk by five in the morning or whatever he says, and dad says, hey, Bob, nobody's pissing in your grits. Yeah. Let me just tell you that I'm from the South.
Starting point is 00:16:22 That's a weird thing to say. So he started a southern band called Piscrits? Piscrits? Did you look that one up though? Piscrits. If Piscrits isn't still available. Is it all one word or two words? Uh, it's all one word but the G is capitalized. Got it. Okay, no, you're good. That seems to be free, yeah. Yeah, come to him. There's Piss Rot, Piss Viogunk. Isn't with their EP? A good friend of mine is in a band called Piss Grave.
Starting point is 00:16:53 How about Piss Rat? Or Piss in? Oh. Or Grits, the band. Oh. Piss on the tour with Grits. So they put on more autopsy rock and they notice that there's no outward bleeding or bruising on this body. Right, but her wrists and ankles are shattered. And her eyes are too clouded for as fresh as she seems. Right. Lala. They also find Pete under her fingernails and they're like, wow, that's insane!
Starting point is 00:17:32 But like, anyone who's been near like a garden wouldn't likely have Pete under their nails? If you just planted a flower, it was wild. Well, they, you know, you do find it up north. Yeah, up north. Yes. But her nose and ears are clear. Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Until a fly comes out of her nose. Well, they have a bug zapper, so I think that must happen a lot. Sure. Yeah. Her tongue has been crudely cut off, which makes them think it's like a human trafficking thing that she's been bound and punished for having her yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah they find a string in her mouth they do yeah yeah seem to just take that in stride huh yeah yeah I guess we find out later what it came from yeah yeah they say she's torn up on the inside cuts deliberate deliberate. Deliberate.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Because Brian Cox's thing is that their their job is not to figure out why. It's just to figure out what happened. Exactly. But he's really assigning all sorts of intentions to all of this. Well, he was just saying that if she wasn't naturally shredded in her downtown zone. No. It was funny. Yeah. Yeah. The radio either turns on or changes as he goes to cut her open.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Yeah, it gets all staticy and and then, uh, what song starts playing? Let the sunshine in? Yeah, you know, that classic song from 1693. I don't get what the relevance of this is. And that's what makes me think it was all added in at the end, all the musical stuff. Sure. That makes sense. Because he does not seem like a rock, you're right that he's not a rock and roll corner. Yeah. Yeah. Come check out piss grits with rock and roll corner. Yes. Oh, rock and roll corner is my DJ name.
Starting point is 00:19:32 I will say that like watching this movie I was going, you know I'm having fun watching this movie, I'm enjoying this. And I know that once Katie and I start pulling out the strings of this sweater it is going to crumble into a pile of sweater strings. Yeah well I think this bit at the beginning where they're like finding clues is really interesting I think it's engrossing I think you're like on board for what you want what they're gonna find out. Got call-cathulu vibes? Yes, and then when it comes to a crescendo, it's just trash. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:20:11 I mean, I really like the idea of peeling back someone's epidermis and they're being basically tattoos on the inside of her body. Yeah, but also is that what skinless boobs look like? Yeah, oh yeah. Oh, oh god, yeah. Oh, oh god, yeah. You never went to them one of them bodies exhibits? No, they were really unethically sourced. What? Yeah, they were like homeless people.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Yeah, it's not great. Yeah, but you know, that's how they would have wanted to die, I guess. Hey, her blood from the fridge is just dripping all over everything in the fridge and I don't know why. Did it jump out of the vial? I like that his first reaction is to just be like, ugh, kind of like shoving the blood back underneath the refrigerator. Yeah, that's what I would do too. You know, like it's an errant piece of cucumber that you just kick under the fridge. I'll get that later. Get that later. I do that with cat food. So when they cut her open they see that she's
Starting point is 00:21:09 been wearing a corset. And I was like, well, that could be any time. You know, wearing those waist trainers these days. Guys don't wear those. It's not good for you. You don't think squishing all your organs together is a good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good thage good thia thia thia thi thi thi. I is a good thi. I is a good thi. I is a good thi. I is a good thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I don't thi. I don't thi. I don't thi. I don't th. I don't th. I don't thi. I don't thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. So th. So th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I the. I thea. I'm thea. I'm thea. I thea. I thea. I thea. I thea. I thea. I thea. So thea. I lungs are all black, but there are no burns on her body. Right. Her heart has been cut and other organs have scar tissue, to which I wrote, maybe she died of a broken heart. They find possible cancers inside of her? Yeah, they talk about melanoma and I was like, nah, she's pretty pale. But like melanoma on the inside of her skin. Can you get melanoma on the inside of your skin? I don't know. I hope not. Now that's something I'll worry about.
Starting point is 00:21:51 So they do my favorite thing. What's that? Crack her ribs open. Oh, it's, he like, Brian Cox pulls the like, the rib piece off and just sort of tosses it aside, th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thoes, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thoes thoes tho-a. I tho-I grossed out. It was like, do ribs look like ribs? Yeah, dude, ribs look like ribs. That's wild. Yeah. I just assume my ribs just looks like a regular-asskeleton.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Like, there's no meat connected to them. Yeah, well, now I'm thinking about making like beef ribs or pork ribs, you know. And they got meat on them. Yeah, no, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, dude, dude, the, the, the, dude, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th, ribs, th ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, the, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, the, ribs, the, ribs, the, the, ribs, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, the, the, the, they, they. Yeah, they. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, thi, too, tob. Ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, ribs, or pork ribs, you know? Yeah, and they got on the meat on them. Yeah, we, no, I mean, judging by this movie, we got meat ribs. Yeah, I think we've got meat ribs. Yeah, but I just never thought about it before I assume my, I assume my, I assume like. You see there's a hollow cage. Yeah, pool pretty hard, you can feel your meat ribs. Okay. Pull hard on your meat right here. Okay, I got a lot more meat right here. Yeah, but pull it. You feel your ribs start to expand. Sure. Okay, well I'm just saying meat ribs. That's science. David.
Starting point is 00:22:59 I hope his name was David. Dr. Beer. Dr. Beer? Uh, so Austin sees a person sees a person in a mirror down the hallway. Yes, and then when he turns there's no one there. Then there's sounds in the air vent. Probably Stanley, that little bastard. Yeah. Stanley initially brings them a rat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:22 And then they find Stanley in the vent. Who hurts Stanley? I'm assuming the a rat. Yeah. And then they find Stanley in the vent. Who hurts Stanley? I'm assuming the witch did. The what? The witch. But also like, excuse me, Brian Cox, you're a medical professional. Do you mean to tell me that you don't have a more humane way to put that cat down than breaking its neck in your hands? You don't have like a drug you can just inject him with? Is that, I think they're supposed.. th. th. I th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th th thi. I thi. I thi, I thi, I thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the wi, the w. I, the w. I, the w. I the w. I the w. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm that, I think they're supposed to say that, like, he a country doctor. That's what he does that. I guess, but he seems thoughtful.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Yeah. You don't just break your wife's cat's neck. Yeah. If you're a thoughtful person. Your dead wife's, now dead cat. Yeah. Did she killed herself. Kind of the vibe, right? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. And then he just straight incinerates him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:07 And then says, I'm gonna need a minute. Yeah. He says it was your mother's cat. It was one of the few things of hers I had left. Very sad. Very sad. Well, well, let's get back to root. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Well, th. th. th. Well, th. th. Well, th. th. th. Well, th. th. th. Well, th. th. Well, the. Well, the. the. And, th. And, tha. And says, I'm tha. And, I'm th have like a new vigor and vim to go and do this, like he has to root now. He pulls something out of her tum tum. It's jimson weed.
Starting point is 00:24:30 It's a paralyzing. It's a full thing of, a full flower of gyps. I don't know. Here's what I'm easy to do. Go outside. . It does have to be Jimson. We've got some other flowers out front. That one's going to paralyze you. Just get one that'll settle you. Yeah. And then tell me how long it takes a shit at it out. I don't know. I don't know where I was going with this. Well, you know, the
Starting point is 00:24:57 average American male has five pounds of meat in that. Undigest to red meat. meat in that cold. The weather is getting wild. The weather is getting wild we hear on the radio that there's going to be three inches of rain in an hour. Yeah. That's a lot of rain. Yeah. They've also noticed that she's missing a molar.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Yes. Which they find? Yes. Who did I find it wrapped up in a little piece of cloth inside of a tum. Yeah. And they're they they they they they they they they they they are like what are like what are like what are like they're like what are like they're like. they're like. they're like. they're like. they're like. they're like. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. to. the. to. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. inside of a tum. The cloth has some occult symbology on it. Right, and they're like, what are those Roman numerals? And then, yeah, I was like it's 27. It just says 27. You're dingling? It wasn't even one of the hard ones. It wasn't even an M. I know, M's and C's get me all fucked up. L's too. What is an L? I don't know. I know that I know that three X's is 30 because there was a straight edge band called Roman Numeral 30. God damn it. I hate that for them. What I do love is that they have their radio labeled that it's like property of their funeral of their like where is that
Starting point is 00:26:05 radio going it's in the it's in a morgue no one's taking it yeah these bodies coming in and now someone went snat it so they they it like zooms in on the radio and it changes to that song again with the sunshine in face it with a grin I mean this is giving me strong tip throw, tiptoe through the tulips and a fucking insidious movie vibes. One hondo. And it's just like, it's not creepy. You're not creeping me out with this.
Starting point is 00:26:29 And it's irrelevant to this, too. Had it been like the Lord is my shepherd or something like that, that seems like I would've, it would have worked better than this? Corpse penis by the band Door Number Three which I am not at all suggesting you go listen to. What if this is how we find out that you're a member of tour number three? It's been a long con everybody. It's really all been just to promote my band, episode 442 or whatever the fuck this is. So yes, they cut her open, they pull back her skin.
Starting point is 00:27:09 We see what skinless boobs look like. I don't think that's right, because I think there's all sorts of ducks and shit in them. Well, it's covered by muscle though. And then like the nipple. I don't think so. I don't think so. You keep coming real close to touching your boobs and you're like, this is going to be weird. This is going to be weird. I mean I know where the, I guess, I don't know. I don't know. Anyway, the shroud is printed inside her skin,
Starting point is 00:27:38 which you liked. And I liked, and I liked the last good thing in this movie. I'm sorry, go on. I also like the when they find the tooth. He goes and puts it in her mouth to see if it fits. Yeah, that's not how teeth work, is it? I guess it is. I'm not an autopsy doctor. Also her tooth is like, have you ever seen like a wisdom thea, a. They should have gotten a real fucking tooth. Getting a real old-ass tooth. Yeah, it's 1693.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Fun fact about me, I've often thought about getting into collecting teeth. Yeah, I could see that for you. Yeah. I'm surprised you haven't, honestly. Can we wait till you're wearing a necklace of teeth? No, I'm not that kind that tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho to tho to to to tho to to to tho to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be told to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to to to to to to to too too too too too too too too too too tho tho tho tho jar of teeth. Yeah. Like, hey, this am a tooth jar. Cool. I have some of Lucy's I can bring over if you want them. No, you have to keep those. Those are your special babies teeth. I don't know what to do with them.
Starting point is 00:28:29 They're just in a ziplock bag in my underwear drawer while she was a towar the t. Dogs lose teeth? Yeah. Ew. Get rid of them, no, I'm just kidding. They're like hollow on the bottom. They're not like regular teeth. So are looseies? Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:28:53 Yeah. Wait, I'll bring them over. tooes. We used to know that like cat toenails. Ew, she is a weird dog. So this is the last good thing that happens in the movie. Everything from here on out is trash, in my opinion. Yeah. But I'm still on board.
Starting point is 00:29:14 I'm still in. I'm like, I love, like, I love like a horror movie that's just like a premise. I love like a horror movie that's just like a premise, like a Fulti movie. Like, sure. I've got a premise. No, shut up. It's fine. It's a fucking premise.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Right. You're wearing the close enough Lucio shirt. We know what you mean. Yeah. We'll get there in the end, you know? Yeah, we're not. The credits are going to roll at some point. And so I'm like, I'm like shutting off my like, this has to be logical brain. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:47 But like knowing that I'm going to talk about this and it's just gonna fall apart like I said earlier. But even if she was a witch, yeah. A vengeful witch. Fine, that's a fine movie. Yeah, but the scares are not good. Her like animating the other corpses doesn't make any sense. Sure. Yeah, no, no, no, 100%. So the power goes out. Electrical crackling and lights smash and all that. No emergency lights, Brian Cox.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Yeah, come on. The generator sucked to his computers. Well, there's not. He says, there's the generator, oh, it doesn't have enough power. the generator that doesn't have enough power. It doesn't the generator the generator the generator to to to to operate to operate to operate to operate to operate to operate the elevator to operate the elevator to operate to operate the elevator to operate the elevator to operate to operate the elevator to operate the elevator to operate to operate to operate to the elevator to the elevator to to the elevator the elevator the elevator. the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the touch. 100 100. 100. 100. 100. 100. 100. 100. 100. 100. 100. touche. touche. touche. touche. touche. touche. the touch. 100. 100. 100. I. he says, there's the generator, oh, it doesn't have enough power. And I was like, what does that mean? Why have a generator that doesn't have enough power? It doesn't have enough power to operate the elevator. Turn the lights on, but the elevator, it's got a motor, so that's got a run, so that was that, yeah, yeah, yeah. And an old tree has the tree on the phone, they get Burke on the phone. He's like, this part doesn't make any sense either, because he's like clearly asking Burke for help.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Burke is the sheriff, Burke can't hear him. He needed that stuff, all that information the next day, like Burke the sheriff did, all of the information on these bodies, on these autopsies. He doesn't come back for four days. Because at the end the radio is saying four straight days of sunny weather we've had here or it'll be our fourth straight day of sunny weather. So at least four days had to have gone by and they were just finding the crime scene. Well maybe they put it on hold because so much happened with the storm coming through. Yeah but but your friend called and then you haven't heard from them in four days. That wasn't th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the th, th, th, the th, th, th, th, th, th, because, th, because, th, because, th, because, because, th, because, th, because, because, because, the thi, the th, because, because, because, because, because, because, because, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, to, to, to, to, to, to, to to to to, to to, to togu. togu. togu. togu. togu. togu. togu. togu. the togu. togu. to, through. Yeah, but your friend called. And then you haven't heard from them the four days.
Starting point is 00:31:25 That wasn't Burke that he talked to. How do you know? Because he starts singing, Oh, that's right. Oh, that's stupid. Whatever, Burke still didn't joke for four fucking days. No, I didn't even think about that. But it's also like, oh, thi Burke thi Burke thi Burke thi bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu bu but that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thi. thi. too too too too too. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's're 100% correct. I'm mad about it. But it's also like, oh, this witch from 1693 knows about phones, knows how phones works.
Starting point is 00:31:47 How did she pick up Burke's phone? Bells are jingling. And then I thought about that episode of, that episode of the nun, where all the bells were jingling because James Wan can't ring just one of them. But, you know, you're going to set up checkoff's bell. You've got to ring it at least 12 times. 125, 020. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:11 So, they're, they're being like harangued and harassed by the dead that were in the, the, the cabinets in their house. Right. There's like a tow tagged foot that appears outside the door the door their house. Right, there's like a toe-tagged foot that appears outside the door and starts banging. Right. I guess. Yeah, I mean that's fine. This is all fine. That's fine. Did you like it when Brian Cox went into the bathroom and got the shit kicked out of him? I did like that the unseen force locked him in the bathroom. Yeah, they're funny. Oh, I do have another that says, Dad had talked about an unseen force. Oh, there you go.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Enjoying a turn of phrase. Um, and he's all messed up and he's got like a big bruise on his, on his tum tum now. Now what does that bruise become? The occult symbols? Yes, and why? Oh, witchcraft. . So her body th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th that's th that's tho that's that's that's that's that's that's thus thus that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi? That's thi? thi? thi? thi? thi? Oh, thi? Oh, thi? Oh, thi? Oh, thi? thi. thi thooo No. But everything they took out of her has been decomposing rapidly. Why? Because it's outside the shroud now? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So he's like, fuck it. Let's cremate her. Like you can't just do that without anyone's permission. Well, Austin has made seven leaps of logic. Right. and ended up on her being a witch that was burned
Starting point is 00:33:27 in the witch trials and sale. Well, yeah, they pull out the Bible from their morgue. Yeah, mahocta, and they realize when they fold over the sachet that her tooth was in, just wanted to get the word sachet in there. You love a French word like that. And I love a hyper specific specific ss ss Sashet. Yeah, you're right. Yeah. So they like folded over and they realize that when you read it through the light shining through it it says Leviticus 27. But this is this verse is actually Leviticus 2027. Okay. And it doesn't say a goddamn word about witches,
Starting point is 00:34:05 it's talking about mediums. And then I thought, fuck you Ed in Lorraine Warren, we should have stoned you to death. Because that's what the verse is to do. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yep, yep, yep, yep. So I got the implication from this that she wasn't a witch. But upon being being the like made her mad enough that she like made a pact with the devil and became a witch in the afterlife.
Starting point is 00:34:31 So that anyone who autopsied her would become haunted by her? So it seems to be, and jumping to the end of the movie, she seems to be just like hopping from town to town going to different morticians. Like, why was she buried in those people's basement? Because he even says the, the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the...A.A. the. the. the. the. the. the. town going to different morticians. Like why was she buried in those people's basement? Because he even says the Brian Cox even says something like oh we were all just stops along the way. Yeah. Well why was she in their basement? Why did she kill them? Like why? I don't know I wanted it to be like oh off like oh our family is from that area or something. Sure. Some connection. Yeah. Yeah. She's just just the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I was just th. I was just th. I was just th. I was th. Some connection. Yeah. Month that she's just mad at the autopsy scene. Yeah. Yeah, but they're all on board for setting her on fire right there, just doing it on
Starting point is 00:35:13 the table. He throws some flammable liquid on her and Brian Cox pulls out a pack of matches. Luckily, the ceiling above them is made of crate paper. Isn't this their house? She goes up like a fucking torch. But no damage. She don't burn. It's like rolling a one on a D12 damage roll. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Failing your fireball. Here I wrote a note that says this is losing momentum and I don't know why. It should be tense, the ten't tens to the te to be the the the the te te te te te te te te te, te, te, te, te, te, te, te, te, te, to the toe, the toe, the toe, the their to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their te, te, te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. the. the. thean the thean thean toean toean, toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. She's toe. to wear to a wedding next month. Here's where I have a note. Chase no face coming. Chase no face? The guy who got his face blown off. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:50 I named him after my favorite internet cat. Do you know, are you not familiar with Chase no face? No. Chase no face was a little kitten that got hit by a car. Don't look it up. I'm looking it up. OK. . He he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost he lost. I kind of got her face, I'm sorry. And the people who kept her had to like put eye drops
Starting point is 00:36:10 in her eyes like 30 times a day and, but she was like super affectionate and a lovely little kitten. Oh no, chase, no face. And I love chase no face. And I love chase no face and I was real sad when they passed. But yeah, so I named the guy with No Face, Chase No Face. I'm amazed that you were not familiar with Chase No Face. I'm not on that Instagram. That's an Instagram thing.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I don't know. I'm not on that Instagram. I'm not on that Instagram. I never liked Grumpy Cat. Sure. I was more of a Chaste No face. tho. that. that. that. year. What? With Aubrey Plaza? Wait, she came over? Yeah. She's really nice. Delawareian. Fellow Delawareian.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Fellow-Awerian. Oh, what a bunch of ding-dongs. Yeah. So the power comes back on. So they're immediately like, let's get in the elevator. There are stairs. But there are stairs because he went up and checked and that's when they found out to the old Sycamore. But I thought that only went to the outside. Aren't there stairs that go upstairs in the building?
Starting point is 00:37:13 Oh, I don't think so. That doesn't make a lack of sense. You want to keep your job life and your work, your work, your work, your work, your work, your work, your work, your work, your work, your work, your, your, your, your, your, your, your, your, your, your, your, to, and home, and home, and home, and home, and home, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and their, and, and, and, and their, and, and their, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, their, their, their, their, their, their work, their work, their work, their their their their their work, their their their their work, their their work, their their their their, their No. I don't know. I'm living with a tendon mortuary. You're a terrible architect, I have to tell you. That's why all those buildings fell, I mean. Right. They should never have trusted you with that. You've never even taken an engineering class. I'm the real devil in. home stuff, so I got real bored with the architecture stuff. Oh, I like that.
Starting point is 00:37:45 I'm a big fan of his writing in general, though. Sure. Sure. Eric Larson. Strong, recommend from me. I recommend in the Garden of Beasts, in the Garden of Beasts, in the Garden of Beast, which is about the thundersteads, which, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, which is about, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I........... Starting point is 00:38:07 I'm only like 10 pages in because I, yeah. Yeah, you got it. So anyway, the elevator doors are opening and closing. Yeah. Then what happens? And then they get in the zombie people walking around and then what happens? They're here the ding ding ding dingling ding ding ding dingling two of bells coming down the hallway So dad reaches out with the axe and says whoever I hit
Starting point is 00:38:46 There's like a brief flash of a person with like curlers in their hair and their face is all jacked, so it looks to be a corpse. Yeah, it's not a corpse though It's a dumb, dumb. Yeah, it's not a corpse though. It's a dumb, dumb, Emma. It's a nice, nice haircut. She, so her boyfriend, the son is very sad. To which I wrote, for a minute or two. To which I wrote, I am not sad, you are better off. You deserve a woman who is understanding. And you told her to come back, but the weather guy told her to stay home. So shrug emoji on this one. He had a cell phone at 1050. He should have gone, hey, boo?
Starting point is 00:39:14 Why don't you and that sweet, sweet haircut stay home because it's not looking good out here. Not happening. I'm not getting out of here. Dad and I have like an occult burder thing going on, it's real windy or something, the old sycamore's trying to get in the house. Yeah, can't make it happen. No. So she's dead. Yeah, it's fine. They're having this conversation about the deceased mother and Brian Cox says, you know why I called her Ray and And I was like Ray of Sunshine. And he was like, Ray of Sunshine. Like, everybody could have guessed that.
Starting point is 00:39:47 It's like someone, I feel like a different person wrote the second half of the movie. Oh, yeah. That's weird. It's because she looked like Ray Kapo, lead singer of youth of today. Oh, I thought she was more of a Raylioda look alike. Everybody loved your mother, that's why I called her Raymond. That was a good one. So they decided to cut her open again because there is something she doesn't want us to find. Yeah, where do they have to go to get something they don't want to find?
Starting point is 00:40:20 In her brain. In her brain. Yeah, cause of death is that she sucked, I guess. I don't know. Well, she's not dead though. That's why she's not then then th th. th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi the the the tho tho tho that's that's that she's tho that she's that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. That's th. That's thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the thi thou- the theat tho- tho- tho-s tho-s tho-s tho- thi. That's thi thi. Cause of death is that she sucked, I guess. I don't know. Well, she's not dead though. That's why she's not been dead because she's not been dead this whole time. Right. This is where I wrote, it is upsetting to think about your scalp. It is upsetting when you think about how thin your scalp. Now under there's just your skull, the head, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thin, thin, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thu. thu. thu. thu. theeeeeeeeauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. thoo, tho, tho, tho, the head of a skeleton is just right here. It's true.
Starting point is 00:40:45 And behind it is your brain. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Also, does that smell like teeth when they cut into that or just smell like something different? Probably teeth. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:54 You ever smelled a bone saw? No. No. No, who I don't know. But you smell teeth when they're getting in there in your mouth with the drills and stuff. Yeah, I bet it smells like that. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, they just hack it her brain a little bit. And then under the microscope, he goes, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:41:13 And then it looks at it for a long time. And I was like, what was it? Did you have the catchphrase? Like I'm a racist frog? What am I doing on the TV? What am I doing on the TV? I think he said dub a wob a WB. That's it yeah that was it. So through this we learned that she is still alive there's blood through her brain. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Alive we lit her on fire we took out her heart. Yeah. Yeah. Her organs aren't there anymore. Yeah. But her brain is because the devil. Yeah. This is where we learn about Leviticus and the Bible. Yeah. And Brian Cox is like, Austin there were no witches in Salem. It's like, yes, he's right. There were no witches in Salem.
Starting point is 00:42:05 There were just young girls, you started acting the fool. They did start acting a fool though. I know, yeah, yeah, yeah. I read a really long kind of boring book about it. Great. Couldn't stick with the, uh, world's fair, huh? Oh, I read that whole book. I just kind of the architecture, I the the architecture, I the architecture, I the the the the the thuked, I thuked, I thu, I thu, thu, thu, thu, thu, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. kind of boring. Gotcha. It wasn't the architecture stuff, it was the like garden planning that I got like. I like that.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Yeah. Missy loved it too, it was just not for me. It's like people who read like Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and there's just pages and pages and pages of text about a hill. I ain't got time for that. Yeah. Yeah, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, to to too. Yeah. Yeah, too. Yeah, too. Yeah, too. Yeah, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too, too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to I've read those books. My Nana gave me the Hobbit when I was maybe like 12 to read and I was like, I can't. The Hobbit's not even like that though. It's so chill. Compared to Lord of the Rings?
Starting point is 00:42:53 Maybe she gave me Lord of the Rings. Maybe she gave me Lord of the Rings. Yeah, yeah. You're probably one of the people that would skip the songs in the Lord of the Rings. So many italicized texts. That's why she's keeping us alive. This is her revenge. This is her ritual. What? But why though?
Starting point is 00:43:14 Why though? She wants us to feel it, too, he says. And so this, it starts giving me bye-by-man vibes. Wait me, is that empty? It starts giving me bye-by-man vibes. Wait, remind me what bye-by-man actually does. You can't say it? Is that by-by-man? Yeah, you can't say it. Or is that empty man?
Starting point is 00:43:30 No, that's by-by-man. Empty man is where they like invented the life for the guy. Right, but empty man, you can't say it into like a bottle I just remember the beginning of Empty Man was very creepy. Wait, now I'm going to get them all fucked up. What's the one where the kids are hanging under the bridge? I think that's Empty Man. Okay, which one was better? Empty Man was much better. Okay, got it.
Starting point is 00:43:52 By the man had the woman from the Matrix in it. And it takes now. Yes. Yes. Yes. Where it's like, oh, let's make up a thing, but like not really flesh it out and let's just move on. But that's why. that's why. Yeah, yeah. That's why.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Because I said. Because I said. He says, Brian Gogg says she's still suffering and it won't stop until... And his son says, until what, Dad? We never find out. I never find out. But he acts out what the untill is, Katie. He tells her that he will sacrifice himself for his son. I won't fight you, but please don't hurt him.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Let me help you. And then she just like gives him a heart attack or something? Yeah breaks all his bones and his stuff and her stuff is healing? Yeah, and her eyes are getting better. What? It's got River Clock Home or whatever. Why though? Because he's giving her the life she never had, because it was taken away from her. Yeah, but she's still like incapacitated when she, she's taken out of there, right? Well, we never never find, th. It th. It th. It th. It th. It th. It never, th. It never, th. It never, th. It never, th. It never, th. It never, th. It never, th. It never, th. It's, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. He, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. to, thi. thi. the. thi. the. the, the, thi. the. thi. thi. th. right? Well we never find it never comes to fruition right like dad doesn't dad kill himself no offers himself to him her and then she breaks him and his eyes clut over and he asked his son to kill him yeah and so break the spell or something breaks the spell right what the fuck did you do that for this whole thing was so selfish of Brian Cox because now his kid is alone in the world since Brian Cox axed his girlfriend, who did deserve it. All of this to which I wrote,
Starting point is 00:45:33 hopefully the video camera was running all this timer, you're gonna have a lot to answer for. But that will not come to pass either. No, all the bodies are back in their drawers. Wait a minute. No. Burke is not singing that song on the phone. He's singing it now when they are trying to get the Sycamore tree off the doors. Oh, is that one? On the phone, they just break up.
Starting point is 00:45:56 That really was Burke. Okay. All right. I'm sorry. No, Burke sucks. HCP includes Burke. So yeah, we hear the cops outside. And Burke is yelling, he's telling them they're trying to get the tree off the doors and he's saying, Austin, open up, open up, open up your heart and let the sun. I don't even know how the song goes. You do it. You do it.
Starting point is 00:46:21 I don't know it either. I don't know songs. I'm embarrassed. And then dad comes and scares Austin and Austin falls down to his death. Now his dad is the witch and he fell down and died. To which I wrote, I guess. When they put the witch in the ambulapse to go to the hospital at VCU. Get her out of my county. Is that how this works? Yeah, they're sending, just like Eddie Murphy. They're sending her to the end of town.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Oh. And they have her in the hersplanance. And the camera zooms in on her big toe, which rings as they're going away. Alan. My last night was, eh, I liked it. So this was directed by Andre Overdahl, who did Troll Hunter and Scary Stories to Tell on the Dark, both of which were movies I really enjoyed. Yeah. And I just did not.
Starting point is 00:47:19 This, it really feels like a different person wrote the second half. It sounds like we're going to the ratings. R person wrote the second half. It sounds like we're going to the ratings. Rack did the second half. Do you want to get me a rating on this movie? I'm not sure what I'm missing here. I guess, I mean it has an 86% on rotten tomatoes. Wow. That seems really high. But I mean, if you, uh, this isn't a world where conjuring movies are the biggest movies.
Starting point is 00:47:50 I guess. So like, I feel like some people just like, they can shut it off and go and sit down and just be like, wee! And enjoy the ride. It's got all the scares you want. There's like a little faceless man barking at the door. I just, yeah, I just think the, I don't know. I just think the scares aren't good. Yeah. Yeah. And the actors are wasted. Sure. I'm gonna give this a four. Wow. Yeah. I don't think it's good. I think if you just, I think the first half of them sort of fleshing out the relationship between father and son and going
Starting point is 00:48:31 meticulously through her body and finding all of these clues and trying to figure out how they fit together, I'm really enjoying that. Yeah. But then when the lights go off, I just think everything goes really badly for this movie. Yes, I would agree with you. I'm gonna give it a six. Okay, above average. Above average, because I think, because the acting is so good, and I think it's a good setting for a movie,
Starting point is 00:49:00 it's got like all the ingredients, it just didn't, they didn't like let it rise. And I think had they like taken those other bodies out of the equation and made the scares much more, a lot of the haunting, much more psychological? Definitely. If she was like fucking with them. Making him see his dead wife or yeah. Sure. Yeah, see his son dead or something. Something. Yeah. The killing of the girlfriend was way too telegraphed. Sure. But it was just like that it could have been, I can see like, I can see this being a concept of a film that like would get into your psyche.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Like the idea of finding writing on the inside of someone's skin is really upset. Right. And there's even a line about how no one else would be able to find that except them because they are doing the autopsy. But what I want to know is why, what was she doing for the last 320 years? She's been doing this. To whom? Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:00 How does she get places? She gets put into the van driven to the next place. They're really just taking her county to county? Like she's the fucking Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile? Like she's Miss Pennsylvania? See, when the radio station tuned in, it was like, I wish I was in Oscar M. Ween. I would have loved that. I'm very disappointed in this movie. My baloney has a first name. It. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I was. I was. I was. My baloney has a first name. It's H-O-M-E-R.
Starting point is 00:50:28 That would have been better. It's a Simpsons reference, don't worry. Oh boy, I'm glad that's over. Can I give you something that I think will be a little bit of a palate cleanser? I'd love that. This is a message from Patron. Okay. Memo B says, you guys are the funniest and most kind people.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Your podcast is one of the things I cherish. Okay, first sentence decidedly untrue. Second sentence, that's so nice of you, thank you. How is that sentence untrue? I would strongly disagree. I thu thu. I thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thiol- I thi. I thi. This thi. This thi. This th. Starting point is 00:51:14 Shut up. My kid is funnier than me. Can I tell you something she did today? Please. You can cut this if it's not that funny for our listening audience, but we're so mean to Rob because he calls Italian ice, water ice, which is just a fucking stupid thing to say don't come at me Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York. It's called Italian ice. It's called Italian ice. Well it's called it's called. Well it's called. It's, what did you say? Hold on and she went and got a coffee mug filled it with
Starting point is 00:51:49 ice cubes from the freezer, put a spoon in it, handed it to him, I was like I got you water ice, this is what water ice is, and I was like, you're fucking right it is! that kid's so much funnier than I am. Nah, she just got your funny gene. Oh man, she's making it better than I ever could imagine myself. She put a little flavor in there or anything? No, that's the thing. It's just, what would water ice be, Alan? It would be ice made of water. Well, it's first of all, it's a water ice.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Well, the ice made of water. You put some flavor in there, you eat it with a pretzel rod, come on man. Root beer, Italian water ice with a pretzel rod. Is what makes it Italian ice? Otherwise, oh my god, I'm not having this argument with a person from the East coast. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah, you don't call that, you don't call that Hawaiian water ice. Hawaiian water ice or water shaved ice. What are you fucking talking about? Just put the word water away. It doesn't matter in this context. Anyway, I'm sorry. Was our, was our patron saying something? No, that was all. Well, thank you, MemoBee. I really appreciate it. And I really appreciate you. Not only for the kind words, but also just for being a patron and supporting us in that way. If you want to support us in that way, you can go to Patreon. Backslash, World Ambulance. There's a ton of action movies over there.
Starting point is 00:53:07 We don't sell the action movies the way we should. What do you want to hear? A hilarious episode on Beverly Hills Cop, because we just did one. I bet it's funny. I really enjoyed that episode. Hi-key, want to fuck a 23-year-old Eddie Murphy. But we've got everything over there. We've got Fast and Furiouses. We've got a Rocky or two, maybe just one. I think just one. Yeah. Lot of Stallone, though. A lot of Schwarzenegger.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Yeah. Kind of a running man or two. Just one. Yeah, the others fucking go for a blood sport. Good Lord. Oh man, I'm gonna watch blood sport tonight before I go to bed. I love that movie. It changed my life. Bloodsport changed my life. Yeah. By teaching me that I was into Kung Fu. I think about it every day. Yeah. I love it. I love it. We did a drunken master because I though. I thought it was another one of the the the blood.. I the the the th. I was a th. I was a th. th. I was a th. th. th.. Kung Fu? Yeah. I love it. We did Drunken Master because I thought it was another one of the drunken movies. I loved Drunken Master.
Starting point is 00:54:11 Really fun movie. Yeah. Jackie Chan. It's not to love. Oh, it's not to love. Oh, no. It's fine. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Just ignore him. Just love the Jackie Chan that you love. I want to go back to a world where I didn't know about all the shitty things the people I like to. Yeah, that's fair. Ignorance is bliss. Yeah. I wish I didn't have the internet. Yeah. Oh man, getting off of most social media has been the same day.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Katie. Alan. What movie we're gonna do next? We are going to do the David Cronenberg. Hell yeah. Back to that well we haven't been there in a while and I do love David Cronenberg but this is one I haven't seen. Oh yeah video drone. thrown. You are in for a fucking surprise and a treat in this movie. I'm very excited for you.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Also very excited. Every David Cronenberg movie I've ever seen, I've adored. I'm curious to see how you feel about this one. We should do a Brandon-Cornburg movie at some point. What's that mean? Oh, Brandon? Brandon. He doesn't brand- his- A little bush mouth.
Starting point is 00:55:25 A Delaware mouth might through that one. Well, did we do a Brandon, Cronenberg? Did we? Let me look it up. We have not done a Brandon, Cronin, I think we talked about doing Infinity Pool, maybe. I think so. But we didn't do it. We didn't actually do it. Real artsy and fartsy. Artsy and fartsy, that's shit you love. Yeah, he doesn't love an art and a fart.
Starting point is 00:55:45 I just love David Cronenberg making everything look like a penis. Or those weird children from the brood, which I also think about almost every day. Or the maggot baby from the fly. There you go. Oh, what a fucking treasure. Oh, well then this movie. Yeah, it, it, it, it, it, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. the. the. the. the you some real business. Fantastic. So yeah, come back for video drum. Yep.
