Oh, god damn it. Yeah. I also saw in front of his house wearing a cutoff sleeve t-shirt the day before and I was like, this is summer of Savini. You were borderline stalking him now? I have to go by his house to get to work.

Would you say that you have the shivers? Oh, hi, welcome to a werewolf ambulance. We are not a podcast outstalking people, though
Starting point is 00:02:08 it comes up regularly. It's not stalking, it's admiration. It's right. I mean, it's, that's right. We don't actually would interact with him at all. No, when I saw him outside his house, Mr. Savini and then I just rolled it back up and drove away. I didn't say a word. But we are here to talk horror movies and specifically a nirsty horror movie. Shivers. Oh man, oh man. This is early Cronenberg. He clearly had no idea what he was doing and making a movie. I mean just technically it's terrible. Can we just start with that? It's interesting. The sound is like someone just being like, I was thinking of his paper bag. Just, you're not, why are you talking to a paper bag? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I like it when somebody would be talking and they were close to the microphone and somebody else would be far away and it's like, yeah, so anyway. What you know? I did not understand a word word the word the word the word the word the word the doctor said. Dr. Meatball. Did you? He has the lowest voice that's ever registered out of a human being. Yeah. He's like Paul ropes at low. Like he's insane. He was so nonchalant about everything too. I like
Starting point is 00:03:12 loved him. At no point did he raise his voice. His name was Rollo, which which means he's a whole roll of smiles. No that was the Jeff Gold Bloom guy. the g. the glo. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. that's that's that's that's. that's. that's. that was that was that was that was that was that's. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. the. the. the. thoo. tho. the the tho. the the the the Jeff Goldblum. Which guy? No, that's Nick. Oh, no, what? That's Rollo. Dr. St. Luke was the meatfall. Oh, yeah. Oh, Paul Hampton. He's got a singing career. I can plug in one of his songs right here.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Really? Yeah, it's like 50 At least they had a microphone on him at all times. I couldn't think of the dude with the proto-Justin Bieber haircut as a doctor. Oh yeah, yeah, Dr. Nonchalant Meatball Man. Can we start with the opening scene of this movie? The ad? Oh yeah, the ad was great. I mean, like, I, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, like, the, like, the, like, like, the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, likethis ad, this like TV commercial for the Starlight Apartments, or not Star Liner, which is a terrible name for your apartment. Yeah, it sounds like a boat.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Where are you going? Exercise the fun way by playing golf? Is golf exercise? Is it fun? It's none of these things? I liked at the end of it. They were like, the way going to come up. But they do say we have a deli, which also comes up because they're eating pickles extensively for one very long scene.
Starting point is 00:04:28 And also like, don't you wish you have to have a building that had a deli in it? Kind of. Um, although it would be weird if that was in my basement. True. True. We get into the action where a couple is coming to look at the Starliner Apartments. They're meeting with Mr. Merrick. I love him. I think he's really hard to look at. Really?
Starting point is 00:04:47 I thought him like oddly attractive. So that's weird. Why hard to look at it? I don't know. There's just something about it. I don't want to look at you anymore. I wish you were not on my television. Weir. between Sea Everett Coop and Little Orphan Annie. Yeah, who definitely looks like a small boy in the scene.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Sure. Until you get, until he get her boobs. And we have no context for why these two are. They never say anything. It's dead silence while they're fighting. And it tussling. It just looks like he's trying to assault her? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:23 And bore his ass it into her tum-tum. Yeah, pretty gnarly. And this is intersplaced with these people looking at an apartment. And being told like of all the amenities and like how great it is to live there. And then he straight cuts his throat. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was awesome. Yeah. It had that great like tempera. Tempura. Well isn't now now. Now I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now. Now, that. that. that. that. that that that that that's. that's. that's. that's. that's that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the t. It's inter. It's inter. It's inter. It's inter. It's inter. It's inter. It's inter. It's inter. It's inter. It's the, tempura, tempura, tempura. Tempura. Well, isn't that, now I'm thinking that's not it at all. I'm thinking that's fried food from Japan. Are they the same thing? Like the same word? It had that really bright red paint for her blood. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:54 I love that though. Yeah. It was a great look. But yeah, I don't like I was just like what the fuck is this movie like yeah It's just brutal right out of the gates and it doesn't stop being brutal throughout I had forgotten How a sexual assaulty it is? Oh my god. Yeah, I don't know the things that I what I like thought about this movie? I don't know I realize it's integral to the When I looked back on it, what I remembered liking was Barbara Steele. Oh God, phenomenal. Phenominal. I have a good anecdote about her later. I'm looking forward to that.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Yeah. 70s decor, which I love is a thing that I just love. The parasite? I really loved the parasite. And I loved, oh, those are the things I remember about this movie. So I was a little surprised. I thought maybe this was your revenge for me suggesting the reanimator. Well, here's, and I thought about that after watching this because I knew that we're going to get into this discussion, but here's where I take issue with Reanimator that I don't with this movie. Okay. That scene in reanimator is treated as as-as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as as, as thr-as, as thr-as, as thr-asks, as thr-a, as thr-a, thr-a, thr-a, thranni, thr-a, thi, and thi, and the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thrae, thrae, thrae, thrae, thrae, thrae, thi, thi, thr-a, thr-ininininin, thr-s, thr-s, threaten, threaten, threaten, threaten, threaten, threaten, threaten threaten the threaten threaten, thi, thi, thi, though it's like funny. It's made very light of. Whereas in this, like, it's a sex nightmare.
Starting point is 00:07:06 It's like a really, gritty, bad thing that's happening. So I don't take the almost the offense to it that I did to reanimator, where it's just being like, ha ha, ha, rape, where this is more like, oh my god, this is horrible. I can't t th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, th, like, th, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm, th. I'm, th. I'm, th. th. th. th. th. th. thr-I. thr-I wish there had been a heads up to the extent of this, or if it was probably better than I didn't get the heads up because I got the full brunt of it. Yeah, it's very, um, very bleak. Fuck, it's brutal. It's very brutal.
Starting point is 00:07:36 After a while, I was like, I don't think I can take much more of this. up. There was no letting up. No. And also in 1970s we need to talk real quick. We need to talk about casual pedophilia in the 70s. It seems to have been an epidemic. Yeah, I agree. So it turns out that Dr. Hobbs, we learned later was in a involved in a sexual relationship with Annette. Is that her name? It doesn't matter. A little orphan n Annie. Yeah. This relationship started when she was 12. Is that, I couldn't understand anything they were saying in that scene. Is that what he said?
Starting point is 00:08:12 Yeah, okay. He went to, he was giving a sex ed class and got busted, giving her a breast cancer examination. I didn't realize that was her. I thought that was another person. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that was, that was, that was, I was, I was, I was, that was, I was, that was, I was, I was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was. that. that. that was, was. that was. that was, was. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that, I was, I was, I was, I was a a that, I was a that, I was, I was, I was.a. that was, was, was, was, was another person. I don't know. I believe Rollo said they caught him examining her titties for breast cancer. Good guy. Good guy. And it was like, that's fun, right? Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, I don't have to say about it. I don't have to say about it. 70s. You need to not do that anymore. Because you don't exist anymore. So you can't the note. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th. I that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that th. I th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that that th. th. that th. I th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that thi. I 't have to say about it. The 70s, you need to not do that anymore because you don't exist anymore so you can't, but still, I do have
Starting point is 00:08:47 the note that I feel like this movie is very representative of 1975. Yeah, it really is. I mean from top to bottom, like even just the scene where, so there's one of the main, we meet basically a lot of people that live in this building. But one of the main couples we follow is this guy, Nick and his wife, Janine. And they seem to be having some problems. And also he seems to have a parasite in his stomach, and it's disgusting. And he doesn't seem to have a problem with it. No, he seems largely unconcerned about it.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Especially when he's coax up in the bathroom. And I was like, that is never going to clean up out of that shag bathroom carpeting. And the toilet seat cover? Yeah, it's so 70s. And also, dog, throw up in the toilet. Yeah, I don't think I've ever thrown up in up thrown up thrown up thrown up thrown up thrown up thrown up in up thrown up thrown up in thrown up in thrown up in thrown up in the bathtub thrown up in a the bathtub the bathtub thrown up in a the bathtub the bathtub the bathtub thrown up in a bathtub. that that that that the bathtub that that that thatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheatheat.. that. I'm that.. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. thrown. thrown. thrown. thrown. thrown. that. that. th. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. th? Yeah when you have to make the, uh, the quick switch? The ultimate choice. So you have vomit in the, vomit in the toilet if you got the option. True. Then he barfs over the edge of his balcony onto an umbrella being carried by two old ladies. I loved that. Love it.
Starting point is 00:09:56 And also the thingy, the parasite looks like a dick. It's definitely a dick right? It's definitely a tick. Okay I just wanted to be sure. Also the reaction of the old lady which was oh that poor bird. Yeah they get confused by the glass on these big windows. That was so good. Yeah so happy with they just like wiped it off and kept walking and they threw the tissues into the grass because old ladies litter and that's what they do. There's some really fun little comedic moments like that and when Rollo and Dr. St. Luke are having a conversation and St. Luke's walking away and Rolla goes, not about that pickle. And he just tosses them a half-eck and pickle and he goes, it's used. Yeah, they were like waving those pickles around in that scene too. I was like, is this a phallic commentary? I don't know. I think everything at a Kronenberg movie is a fellic commentary.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Yeah, I think I also had mixed up some elements of this with elements of the brood. Oh, okay. So I love the brood. Yeah, maybe we should have done that instead. No, no, I think it's good that we good though. It's just like every time I see this movie or like a movie like, once at Ladies' Nightmare, we watch The Devil Inside Her with Joan Collins. I just like want to clothe myself only in silk robes and put like fur blankets and shag carpets
Starting point is 00:11:16 and big cushions all over my floor and be like, this is my life now. I would be so stoked if you got into caftans. I like like like like like like to be like to be so to be so to be so to be so to be so to be so to be so to be so. I to be so. to be so. to be so. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, to be, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thoom... thoom.. thi. toomorrow. toomorrow., to. to. to. to. to. thoo. thea. thooooo. thiol. thi. I like is it too late for me or too early for me? I just feel like it's just not the right time. You would be like you would be totally hip right now if you just started rocking it. I mean turbans are back. Yeah turbans are back. Just bring the caftan back. All right. Just start dressing like the mom in the omen. All right I did like a lot of her looks. I did like I did like like like a like a like a lot like a lot like a lot like a lot like a lot of like a lot of like a lot of a lot of a lot of a lot of a lot of a lot a lot of a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot. I th. I th. I th. I to like a lot. I to. I to. I to like a lot. I to like a lot. I to. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. really did. So that's good. Anthony puking blood on old's is pretty cool. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Then he falls asleep in front of the fridge. Which I do sometimes too. Just with the light shining in his eyes.
Starting point is 00:12:00 So the blood dick worm slug that he pukes out goes into the laundry room. There's an old lady doing her laundry. And she's looking around for her like laundry powder and just reaches into her broad, pulls it out because that's where she'd put it. She also washes her hands and then just wipes them on her titties. Just straight dries them off on her tits. And then the pee pee gets her. Does it come out of the vent? It comes out of the washing machine. Okay, okay. There's like a blood streak going into the washing machine and she does like lift the lid and go, huh? Yeah. That was great. I really like the parasaied in this. Yeah. Have you seen
Starting point is 00:12:43 night of the creeps? Um a long time ago. We should do that movie at some point if if if if if if it it, if it, if it, if it, if it, if it, if it, if it, if it, the to the the to the th, th, th, th, th, th at th at th at th at th at th, does, does, does, does th, does th, does th at that, does th at th at th at th at to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come to come out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out out, the the the th, th, th, th, th. Does it, th at th at th at th at th at the th at th at th at the th. Does it, that, that, that, that, the that, that, the that, the that, the the that, the that, that, that, that, that, that, that, the parasite in this. Yeah. Have you seen Night of the Creeps? A long time ago. We should do that movie at some point, too. If you like, or Slither, too. I do like a sluggy parasite from space. Cool. I guess this one isn't from space, but still. It's, yeah, it's man-made, I guess. Yeah, Dr. Hobbs made it. Something about, I don't remember the theory, it doesn't matter. Well, no, there was the, I want to talk about that because they were trying to make parasites
Starting point is 00:13:08 that replace human organs. Was this theory? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. That's what it made sense. Yeah. But it teats out, that's not what Dr. Hobbes was trying to be a sex zombie, but I'm not sure why. He wanted to turn the planet into a giant orgy. Well, that sounds exhausting.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Yeah, it does. Especially when every man in Montreal is so her suit. Just all these hairy, shirtless men running around. Do you notice that? Every man was hairy. I know it's the 70s, and I must have been cast that way. God. As a her suitman, I can identify. thia. to to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a to be a Yeah. As a her suitman I can identify with that. Also every man in this movie is so aloof except for Rollo. They're all just like oh God, oh God. Everything's so dumb. Even our hero Dr. Dr. St. Luke. Dr. St. Mushmouth is like, I don't know. He was too cool for school. He really was. I just did not believe him as anything.
Starting point is 00:14:06 I loved his nurse. Yeah, she was great. She's in, I drink your blood. That's where I knew her from. She has such a distinctive look. Yeah, her facial features. Yeah, she's a very interesting face. She's very beautiful and very interesting looking. She's also probably one of the better actors in this movie. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, I, thi, I'm, I'm, thi, thi, thi, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thii. thiiii. thi. thii. thii. thi. thi. thi. the better actors in this movie. Yeah, her and Barbara Steele, for sure.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Can we talk about Barbara Steele? Go for it. Dude, she's amazing. I love her so much. Black Sunday? Stone Cold Fox. She's in a filet the film. I'm fantastic.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Yeah. She's in piranhasa. Just a drunk just laying on the floor The shelves filled with empty wine bottles. I liked that. I was like 70s decor And I was like is that from this month? I don't know this week Today party this she was seemed to be drinking whiskey out of a wine class. I think it may have been port. I'm gonna hope it was port. I was really tad for that. Yeah I'm gonna hope it was port some kind. It was really, it was really tad for that, but yeah. So, oh, my quick anecdote while we're talking Barbara Steele, apparently the woman who played Janine was a comedic actor and didn't know how to cry on screen.
Starting point is 00:15:17 So to get her to cry, it's 1975, Karnaburg's smacked her. Nice. And like smacked her a few times. And apparently she had her cut onions and rub the juice in her eyes to get her to cry. Geez. Apparently Barbara Steele found out about that and beat him up. That's great. That's cool. I like that.
Starting point is 00:15:37 I was like, God David, I love you, Barbara Steele. She's still alive, right? I should mention that I read that in the volume four of EvilSpeak magazine. They have it right up of this movie and Rabbit. That's where I learned that from. Nice. A little shout out to them. She's still alive. She's definitely still alive.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Oh, good. She was an eight and a half. Oh, she's fantastic. I was so happy to see. You had mentioned that she was in this, but I was just like, I think I'd forgotten. And I was like, Marbiseel! Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I love that anecdote of her shoving him and punching him. Yeah, that's great. For being a dick.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Can we talk about Nick's interaction with his lumps, his luse, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, his, thups, thu. into them. It's so
Starting point is 00:16:58 weird and it's a really good of it like moving under his skin I really liked it. Yeah the effects were really good in this movie. Yeah I mean even the design of the of the Dick's Lug was really good. Yeah and it's like a little weird sucker mouth kind of which makes it also just very dick like. Yeah yeah they were the the peepers in your belly. And things coming out of people's mouths are always gross it's just always gross there's no way to like do it wrong. the like. the like. the like. the like. the the the the the the the the the their. their. the their. they. the they. they. they. There's no way to like do it wrong, you know? It's just, blah, blah. I thought that hearkened back a bit to the last week's episode for the faculty. Oh yeah?
Starting point is 00:17:33 Yeah, because they were puking up into people's ears, remember? Oh yeah, they were. Somehow I blocked that out. I like that, that, and I that, and I like that, and I like, and I like, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, thi. Yeah, like the parasite comes up to the old couple, that older couple in the hallway, and it's like climbing up the wife's cane, and the husband is just fucking standing there. He's like, whoa, oh, like, you're just not doing a great job at all. Eventually he uses the cane to get it off from her, to use your fucking, to, to their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi. And, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their, thi, thi, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, and, their, their, their, and, their, their, their, and, their, their, and, their, their, is, is, is, is, is just, is just, thi.a, is a, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, like, like, like, like, together, like, thoomorrow, is a. their, is a the cane to get it off from her. Do you use your fucking hand, Rick? Be a tough guy. And then they like go into their apartment and the doctor's like, nurse, you lock the door and you stay there and she only locks the one of them.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Why? Just the one. She loved him so much. Whatever. Well, she gets attacked while she's making his dinner. She's tha th full-blown insane dinner. Yeah. That he doesn't even really want. No, I felt sorry for her. I felt sorry for her. When she's, so the nurse is trying to seduce the doctor. This is like on her third outfit too of the movie. It happens very quickly. And she's getting changed out of her nurse uniform. throwns. told her nurse uniformed. And she's just standing there. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. I'm. the the the t. t. t. t. t. t. te. te. te. te. te. te. the the the the the the the the the the the the he didn't want to give her. Yeah. And change out of her nurses uniform. And she's just standing there brawless, like topless,
Starting point is 00:18:47 just staring at him slowly pulling her shirt on. Well, he's on the phone with his dude friend. Oh, he's just not that into you. Yeah. See, I don't know if he wasn't that into her. If he's not that into her if he just he's not that into anything you know what I mean like he's really monotone for every even when like terrible things are happening he's like oh my god look at that we've got to get out of here really quickly we got to make sure we get oh get it get it get okay let's go like what come on guy show a little emotion not noons not much of a tell you know thinne I don't know if he was even in anything else. He was in some other movie. He's been in a lot of TV shows, but I think music is his main, his main gig.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Well good. As you guys heard earlier from that, sampling. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, I haven't heard it yet, but they have. There's a scene earlier where she's attacked while making dinner for the doctor or the nurses attacked. Yeah. But the guy who attacks her doesn't seem to be fucked up at all. And I was like, oh, is this guy just a rapist? Is this just like random rapist guy? This is Sweden or Sweden from earlier who attacks her.
Starting point is 00:19:53 I mean, I think he's got the bad guy disease. I wish that's what they called it. Yeah, I mean, but like, just so you so you so you so you so you so you so you so you so you that that that that that that that that that that th so you th so you th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. the. the. thi. the. thi. the. thi. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. but like just so you think this isn't just about women being attacked, the guy comes to deliver that dinner, the guy who looks like an owl person. Didn't you think he looked like a now person? He looked like someone we know. I thought you said an owl person. Oh no, a now person. A now person. And the woman from the laundry room opens her door and screams, I'm hungry. I'm hungry for love.
Starting point is 00:20:30 We're all hungry for love, I guess. I thought I'll maybe hearken back to the faculty too, because she had like sexed herself up. And maybe they took a lot from this movie. Interesting. Why didn't we catch that? I guess you did. Yeah, and there's the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. the th. the th. th. th. the th. the? I guess you did. Yeah and there's all
Starting point is 00:20:46 sorts of I mean as the movie goes on it just keeps it just keeps ramping up and up and up and they like get to a point where the doctor's like trying to hide from the the sex beast people. Yeah. And he goes to this apartment and there's an old like dude with a beard looks like a wizard. Have you met my daughter? I'm a. th. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. the the the th. th. the th. the thi. the th. the the the the the the the the the the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the movie. the the the the movie. the the the movie. the the the the the the the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. t. t. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. the the the the the the the the the the th. Yeah. She's beautiful. Yeah. Stands up and starts making out with this daughter and it's like, oh, Kernberg just going to check that incest box? Is that what's going on here? I got pedophilia. I got rape, got incest.
Starting point is 00:21:13 I think there was some public outcry over this because it had, being Canadian, was made the public funds. And they were th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the, th. th. tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a, is a thi, is a thi, is a thi, is a too. toooan, is a tooan, is a tooan, and, is a tooan, tooing. tooing. tooing. thrown. thi. thi. had a really hard time getting his next features funded because of this. Which, I mean, I don't think it's a terrible movie. I think it's probably not what people wanted to see. Yeah. I mean, it does have that kind of art house flavor to it and it's like it's not dumb by any chance. It's not just like a dumb brutal movie like there's probably, you know, there's stuff to think about in this the film the film. their thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. their thi. thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's probably, thi. It's probably, thi. It's probably, you's probably, you' thi's probably, you're thi. It's probably, you're stuff stuff stuff stuff, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. I thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's probably, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi's probably, thi's probably, thin. theeeeeateat theeat thi. I's, thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thi. I'm thithink about in this film. I mean, it's, yeah, isolation and this sort of upper class lifestyle that can go so terribly right and so terribly wrong. Yeah, yeah, I think there's that movie High Rise that is out right now and that's sort of in the same themes of that.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Oh, really? People like cutting themselves off from the rest of society and this enclave. I mean it's also about like how everything is sexualized. Every aspect of your life from being a 12-year-old girl to a 90-year-old woman is sexualized. Even the nurse is saying that at the end and I had no recollection of that speech where she was like and it's erotic and breathing is erotic and just being is erotic, okay whatever. Old flesh is erotic? Yeah, no, I mean it is, but I guess I just don't see why we have to have this conversation. You're making me uncomfortable. Excuse me. Here's a question.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Okay. Who cut the phone? Yes. I remember when we, because we watched the lady's nightmare and we're often shouting, which is why I think I missed a lot of the sex stuff is I thought people were just like hugging each other to death? I don't know. But I remember thinking that the guy, the parking attendant guy, had cut the phone line,
Starting point is 00:22:55 and then the doctor kills him. Yeah. But he's dead when the line gets cut. So I don't know what that was supposed to be? I assumed it was the dude who was working under the desk when at one point he's like at the front desk of the building and like he later attacks the doctor in the basement. Maybe. You seem to be some sort of like like a doorman kind of or like a super or something that would do all the repairs around the place. And he's is he the only black guy in the movie? Yeah that guy that the doctor murders. Yeah he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. He. He. that. that. that. that. that. that. the. He. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. he. the movie? Yeah, that guy, the doctor murders. He's dead at the point that the wires get cut.
Starting point is 00:23:28 That's who I thought, I had done it. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. But now that you say that, I think maybe it was the doorman, because he's down there later too. So, I don't know, actually who cares? never told who cut it. Okay. I guess it doesn't really matter because everybody is like the parasite is spreading. And no one, it takes what an hour and 10 minutes before anyone tries to call the police? Yeah, I don't understand that. I don't understand why they didn't call the police from the elderly couples room. I don't even like the cops and I would have called them way before. I feel like the mounties though. It's they. I they. I they. I they. I they. I they. I they. I they. I they. I they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're th. I thi. I thi. I thi. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I they they they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're tip. I tip. I tip. I tip. I'm took. I'm took. I'm took. I'm ta. I'm ta. I ta. I ta. I ta. I takes took. I took. I ta and I would have called them wait before. I feel like the Mounties though it's different in Montreal. Montreal. That's not how you say it. What is it now? Dr. Sainmush.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Dr. St. Mushmouth. Also Will Rollo ever arrive? He spends the entire movie trying to get there. Oh he does get there. He does. And then something he gets the brutalest of all brutality. He really does. Because Nick's parasites have the theiraaaaaaa. He's the the their their their their their their th. He's th. He's th. He's thiiiia. He's thia. He's thia. He's thiole. He's thiole. He's th. He's thi. He's thiole. He's th. He's th. He's toe. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's is. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's th. He's the. He's the. He's the. He gets. He gets. He gets. He gets. He gets. He gets. He gets. He gets the thea. He gets. He gets. He gets to. He gets thea. He gets. He gets. He gets. He gets. He gets the brutalest of all brutalities. He really does. Because Nick's parasites have come out of his tum-tum. They're just laying on him in a pile. Yeah. And somehow Rollo falls face first into the parasite pile. Yeah, he does. It's a terrible way to go. And then just staggers around for a while until Nick kills him.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Yeah. Because Rollo starts killing the parasites with a pair of pliers. Right, right. They had so many tools on their. Neither of them seemed particularly handy. You know what? I loved about that scene? What? Those lamps?
Starting point is 00:24:53 In their bedroom, those blue, their bed, their couch. The really low couch? Why would you like it? I know that your coffee table is also very low. Their bed was also like practically on the floor. And I was like, maybe these people have good knees. I would just be getting up like a pregnant woman from everything. Just like doing the side, side, side lift. The momentum wobble. Tough first. Uh, so like, everybody is basically getting fucked up by this parasite.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Betz gets it in the bathtub, which is a very distressing scene. Oh, that caused me to write the note, you stay away from Barbara Steele's Coochee, you penis worm thing. Yeah, penis worm thing goes right into her lady parts. Why does Rollo start smoking in that scene, by the way? Like, not cigarette smoking, like, why is smoke coming from his body? Oh, I don't know. I don't know. Nick smoking, too. Oh, really? Yeah, his Tum-tum is smoking.
Starting point is 00:25:58 I just don't understand that part of it. So, can I reveal something that I'm not too proud of? Of course. There's a scene where, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, reveal something that I'm not too proud of? Of course. There's a scene where St. Luke sees in the nurse's mouth that she has a parasite. Yeah. He knocks her the fuck out and it made me laugh when he punched her in the face. I agree. Because he just went from like 0 to 60. Because he doesn't even flinch really. Yeah, his face does not change once throughout the entire movie.
Starting point is 00:26:28 He has that one meatball smirking face. God, he's got a good smile though. Good smile. I find him disconcerting. Oh, yeah, it's the Justin Bieber haircut. I don't know. His sideburns are touching his lips. I don't know. Yeah, it just punches her right in the face. He puts a yellow bandana on her mouth, and it gets covered in blood, of course, because parasite.
Starting point is 00:26:49 But when just her chin is covered in blood and she's got the yellow bandana, I was like, oh you look like Hawk Hogan. Oh, man. This movie is ridiculous. And then it sort of comes to this climax in, pun intended. Pun completely unintended, I wish hadn't said that. In the swimming pool scene, where they've built up that they have this Olympic swimming pool, and Dr. Mushmouth comes in and sees Betz and Janine in the pool, and then there's someone facing the corner, you can't see their face.
Starting point is 00:27:19 And then suddenly, everyone is in the pool. They're like zombie zombie, the the's trapped. He's trapped. He's trapped. Does not flinch. Does not flinch. Just keeps going in and out of the building. I did have the thought, damn, that is a good looking pool when it was his bets and it's Barbara Steele and Janine and the ladies and I drink your blood, the nurse is also in the pool with them. Yeah. Yeah. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. I I's. I's. I'm. I'm. Yeah. Yeah. Not a bra on this movie, except for that old lady is keeping her... Yeah, I mean...
Starting point is 00:27:51 75. Yeah, 75. A lot of flapping boobs. A lot of flapping boobs. What do you think of that end scene where they're all exiting the parking garage? I like it when there's not a happy? the th. the end. th. th. the end. th. the end. th. th. the end. th. th. th. thii. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiole. thi. the the the thiolomea. th. thi. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. theaughea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea the garage. I liked it. I liked it too. I like it when there's not a happy. I like that invasion of the buy-snatur is like not a nice ending. And they all seem so much happier really driving in their cars. Everybody looks right to make sure no traffic is coming.
Starting point is 00:28:14 You're all in the building. What do you think happen? I do like that? So, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, th, and, the, th, and, the, th, and, and, the, and, and the, and the, and the, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all, and they all. And, and they all seem they all seem they all seem they all seem they all seem. And and like Dawn of the Dead, or Night of the Living Dead. Yeah. Like it's, they're very zombie-like, but they're sex zombies? Yeah. Just so disturbing. Yeah. So, so disturbing. Yeah. Intentionally so. I think so. Yeah, I think for sure. Are we ready to move on to the Rooms What's that dr. Mushmouth? What what I can't hear you dr. Mushmouth?
Starting point is 00:28:52 That's okay. Okay, fine. We'll do their eating space? Do you want to go first? Sure, I was very upset by this movie. I knew you were gonna be I didn't remember? I knew you were going to be I didn't remember as soon as I didn't remember all the upsetting scenes and then as I was watching it I was like Alan's gonna be so mad at me. I'm not saying I didn't like it. I'm not saying I wasn't challenged by it which I found interesting and I might even watch it again but man it was a it was a bumme out like I was real bummed by this movie I took off work today and I'm to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the to the to the to to the the the to to the the the to to the to the the to to to to the to be the to be to be to be the the the to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th the. I took off work today and watched this movie this afternoon, or no, this morning, like 10 o'clock this morning and I was just kind of like, huh. Why did you do that? Why did you take the day off to watch this movie? Why did you take the day off to watch this movie?
Starting point is 00:29:34 Oh, I had to burn days. So I was just like I'll just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just. Sorry about that one too. Spoiler alert, you're gonna love it. Your rage returns. I'd give it a seven. Whoa, that's higher than I expected. Yeah, I really love David Cardenburg. I really love like, even like now when he's not doing the body trauma stuff, like Eastern Promises is a fantastic movie if you haven't seen that or a history of violence like. Is that the one with a Figo Morton's in where he's like a hero in his town and it turns out he but he also has a tale.
Starting point is 00:30:12 There's like a scene where they're having sex on the stairs and it just like shows his the back of him real quick and he has like a vestigial tale. Yeah I was like come on Gronenberg. Well he's th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I was like th. th. th. I th. th. th. I was like, thine like, thus th. I was like, like, thus thus thus thus thus thus like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. I th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was, th. I was, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. I was like, th. Grudenberg. Well, he's got it somewhere, right? I just never being like, hmm. I mean, his remake of the Fly is like the, like, next to the thing, it's the gold standard of doing remakes. Yeah. But yeah, I would give it a seven. Great. That's way better than I expected.
Starting point is 00:30:39 What did you think? Here's the thing. When I saw it the first time, I really remembered enjoying it. And then when I saw it this time, I was like, oh my God. It was not as enjoyable, not nearly as enjoyable. But again, I don't feel like I have to give it the reanimator treatment because of what I explained earlier. And I feel like it was treated as a, this is a terrible thing to do and It's more like American Mary, where it was really made to be an awful thing. Yes, awful. Oh my god, I forgot about that scene. Oh.
Starting point is 00:31:09 I love your ability to blank that shit out, man. That's awesome. Mine? Listen, I don't remember most things. It's because I take a lot of medicine, and I had taken some medicine before I watch this movie. I th. th. th. I have have have have th. th. th. th. th. I have have th. th. th. I have th. I have th. th. th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi to to to told told to have to to to have to have to have to have to have to be to be to be to be to be to be to be told. I've told. I've told. I'm told. I'm told. I'm told. I'm told. I'm the the the the the the the to be the the to be to be to be to be. I to be told. I told. I told. I told. I'm the. I'm told. told. to be told. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. to. to. to. to. to. toe. I toe. I to. I to. I taken some medicine before I watched this movie. I guess, can I just say it now? It's legal, right? We're good, I'm smoking the weed. That's on you, man. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Who's gonna find out? Yeah, we're not called Where Will Police Station? No. We're the good guys in uniform. Not like those police and firemen. Just kidding. Hunky, hi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I. th. I. I. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. thi. thi. thi. theeeeeea. theea. toeeea. toeeea. theeeea. Wea. theea. thea. the. Hunky, hunky firemen. Okay, so I think this is a very, very good movie. I wish technically it was better.
Starting point is 00:31:49 I wish the sound was better. I wish that David Cronenberg had any idea how to make a movie at that point because there's just so many like things where he obviously doesn't. Yeah. But a lot of it's just, I think it's really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really I think it's got a lot of like great imagery. Like that scene where he's in the basement, everybody's coming through the walls. I love that. I love that swimming pool scene. I'm going to give it a seven also.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Oh, nice. Yeah. And now I feel guilty because we've done three movies in a row, maybe even four that we've given high ratings to do? doing year of rage. Much like everything else we just drop that long way. I people, other people bring it up and I'm like, I don't know, I don't know guys. But we'll pick it up next week, don't worry. Yeah, yeah. We'll have t-shirts soon, we'll pick that up. Listen, we're doing things.
Starting point is 00:32:35 We're big bear doing things. What? What? Let me show you, move on with your notes there, and I will show you Big Bear doing things. Oh, I love to do that. You know what else I'd love to do, Katie? What? I'd love to talk about Cryptocurium's parcel of terror.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Tell me all about it while I look up in Big Bear doing things. Once again, Jason and thanks, this is, parcel of Terror, $35 a month. It's a subscription box where you get awesome stuff like magnets and stickers. And I feel like just calling them that like belittles what they are because they're these amazing works of art that he send you. Like the wall plaques that your husband Rob loves. Does love him. The cryptological creatures. Oh, he was like, oh, I hope there's, I hope there's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, there's, I there's, there's, there's, there's, there's, I can't remember what it was now, what he wanted
Starting point is 00:33:25 to have be in the set. I can't remember because when he talks about cryptozoology, my mind just goes blank. Those are some civil war cryptosological thing. Oh, probably. I'll ask him and I'll get back to you. But Jason, like hand makes all of this stuff and it's just gorgeous. It's hand painted I don don't know how he's not gone blind from painting these tiny, beautiful things. With little teeny, tiny brushes. You're a lunatic. Listen to the alien episode and Jason goes into detail about how he makes this stuff. Katie has something to show me on the internet. It's big bear too of big, look at that picture. Big bear doing things.
Starting point is 00:34:05 Okay. I'm doing things. Get those pears, I went smoking a cigar. So we can get Jason to have enough money to smoke cigars by you getting cryptocurium. Exactly. Jason's smoking cigars and lighting them with $50 bills, not hundreds, just 50s. He's not all staltatious. No, no, no, no. The man lives in New Jersey. Maybe it was a Jersey devil. Maybe that's what Rob was hoping for. Also a native of New Jersey. That's true. So that might be. I'll ask him. I don't, I'll ask
Starting point is 00:34:33 him. I don't, it's just in one year, not the do you have to go to Cryptocurium.com which is CRYPTOCURIUM dotcom and just sign up there and then Jason just sends it to you like you give him money He gives you stuff. It's like the easiest transaction and follow him on Instagram and on Facebook and you'll see the stuff that he's doing and it's gorgeous. Yeah, it's I'm basically only on Instagram now so I can look at videos of people making things or like writing with perfect penmanship. And, do you ever watch those? Oh, beautiful. But Jason's stuff is amongst that of just like, this is stuff people are making, that's awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Katie, do you know what else is awesome? I mean like a lot of mayonnaise, Tom Savini. Keep going. Big Bear doing things. Weddings, cookies, farting when you've like really had to fart for a long time. Toyota Corollas. The awes of ours. It's like Toyota Carolla, Bigfoot.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Grave Digger. Kit, you know, it just goes down and down. Well, another thing, in that long list of things that is awesome is 7th Church Ministries. Mike Bukowski's. I think we decided it was a publishing hospital. Publishing hospital. And I think that's fair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I think that's fair. He's healing us all with his art and the art of other people, which is great. And on the list of things that are awesome, this jumps way up above like even Manny as I would say. Yeah, still below farting. Mike. But as of today, there was one copy of the Phantasmic Warrior Life. Oh shit. So get in there and get on it. By the time this is out, this is probably it's going to be gone.
Starting point is 00:36:31 Am I not a usual check? Maybe no no no check it up. And no promises. Coming up on July 29th, the anniversary of the first publication of Fellowship of the Ring. Oh, nice. Is his Tolkien, thi th out. Michelle Duggan and Ellie Gill. Ellie Gill. And they're doing the Tolkien Zene, which is called Living and Dark on Dead. That's gonna be awesome. That sounds so good. Can I show you some?
Starting point is 00:36:56 Mike sent me the auxiliary art that's coming along with this one? Yeah, bonus art. Yeah, bonus art. Yeah, bonus art. Let me see. Look at those. By Alan Brown and our friend Dylan Garrett Smith. Oh, look at that. That's eerie.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Yeah. They're both gorgeous. Yeah. So you guys are going to want to get in on this. Did you guys like this pictures we just showed you? With our minds, the minds, somebody will do a video episode. But yeah, you want to go on July 29th and I'm assuming it's an 11 a.m. release as Mike's usually are? Eastern Standard Time. Yes, T. You want to pick these up. Yeah. Every one of these things
Starting point is 00:37:36 that Mike puts out from his publishing hospital is just amazing. And you're going to want to be part of this. I agree. I want to be part th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Mike th. Mike th. Mike th. Mike th. Mike th. Mike thi. Mike thi. Mike thi. Mike th. Mike th. Mike thi. Mike thi. I agree. I want to be part of it. And so I hope that Mike sends us one. Oh, wink! So let me... Are we manipulating him? Isn't that what we do? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:54 He's paying us to manipulate him. I don't think he thought of it that you've heard from us, let them both know, let them know that their money is well spent, yeah. On making us possible? Yeah, thanks for making us possible guys. Yeah, without you, it would be impossible. It'd be possible, but we'd be pissing because we'd be spending a lot of personal money on this.
Starting point is 00:38:21 What are we going to to? Next week we're going to return to the year of rage. What? What's happening? Where are we going? We're going to London, I think, and then also Los Angeles and, uh, in 2002, Queen of the Damned. We teased it a week or so ago. And it's time. It's time, I guess. Yes, I guess. What do we do? I mean, what, the th. What's the the the the the the the th. What's the the the th. What's th. What's th. What's th. What's th is th is th is the th is th is th is th is thi? What's thi? Starting point is 00:38:47 I mean like it's too late we already watched it we can't back out now. So tune in for next now. It's on Netflix. Is it I fucking pay $3 for it? Boom shock. I'm a bitch. Son of a bitch. I want my money back. Oh my god. I'll give you a dollar fifty. I don't want a dollar fifty. I want Amazon giving me a dollar fifty and another dollar fifty to get. Because I rented an SD too because it's cheaper. Yeah, it's a Netflix. I figured how could this movie be on Netflix?
Starting point is 00:39:18 It is. Shit. I'm sorry. I just lost my mind over $3. Really did. It'm sorry. I just lost my mind over $3. Really did? It was great. So check it out on Netflix or pay $3? Whatever you want to do. Don't be $3. Don't.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Don't. Or just listen to Alia. And then... God, there it is! I'm so mad right now. Normally I always check there first. But I figured, I figured check there first, but I figured, I figured how could it be? Yeah, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:39:48 No, it's fine. I'm fine. I'm sorry. We have a very special. Oh shit, mail bag? Yeah. Mail bag. Guys, this one's kind of a more serious mail bag.
Starting point is 00:39:59 And I have to say that when Alan and I got it, we were both really touched and really had some mental problems with it. And by that I mean... Emotional. Emotional. Okay, so this is from a friend of the show. the name is Catherine. And she writes, thrown.
Starting point is 00:40:16 And she writes, hi, Katie and Alan. I discovered your podcast late last year homeless. And regardless of what society has to say, one of the worst things about homelessness is boredom. There are hours of empty time to fill every day. I was lucky enough to have an iPod on which I could listen to podcast and I found you too. I would enjoy your show anyway. I love your banter and friendly chemistry.
Starting point is 00:40:36 That's us. because it helped fill some of that empty time. You helped me keep it together under a ton of stress. I've had my apartment for six months now. I still look forward to every Monday and I won't forget how much wear-wool family o'clock, thank you, Catherine. Thank you, Catherine. Thank you. That's really beautiful, thank you. And I just reading out of that. So thanks, thanks, C, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, to, the., thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, thea, the, the, 't, I have no concept of that.
Starting point is 00:41:06 We're literally just making titty jokes. I know. But I guess it's more than that and that really means something to me. Yeah, to both of us for sure. Yeah, and also part of what Catherine wants to do is really help humanize homeless people that people think, you know, entertainment is a luxury and it's not. It's something to keep thk thk thk thk tha tha tha tha thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thiol- thiol- thiol-a thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi to to thi thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii thi thi. thi thi thi thi th people think you know entertainment is a luxury and it's not it's something you need it's something to keep you going and something to keep your brain working and you know just things to think about so thanks Catherine yeah and God you're a stable and on your feet and hanging in yeah
