Starting point is 00:00:00 The problem of being a woman is You can't even get a crowd And a fucking kumatay Seriously, women's sports Are so underappreciated How many World Cups Have the women's soccer team in the U.S. won? All of them.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Yeah. All of them. Yeah. Yeah. Aye, aye. The problem with being a woman is Hello, Patreon. The problem with being a woman is that you have to use fucking bladed weapons in your kumete, unlike Jean-Colvon-on-H.
Starting point is 00:00:51 What? You might get stabbed at your kumetay. The problem with being a woman is... Manipause. You have to fight in sports bras. Yeah, sports bras and really low-rise leggings. Sure, yeah, yeah. You're going to get blood all over those Lulu lemons.
Starting point is 00:01:08 No, pool. I like a high-rise. I like it to... Look at these. No belly button. No belly button. Anyway, my first note just says, oh, brother. My first note says, these credits look like a video game.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Yeah, that's true. But not like a fun video game. No, not like an eight bit. One that came free with your video game system. Yes. Come play Kumitae. Can you survive Kumata? Can you survive?
Starting point is 00:01:35 Kumita. Kumita. So we started off in Hong Kong five years ago. Mm-hmm. I really love the judge. lady's big gold statement necklace. Oh my god. She's so cool. Gold statement necklace and like 80% of titties. Yes. I'm just like, do it. That's how I would dress if I was judging a kumete. A rooftop kumato. A rooftop kumete. I love that it's all like in this underground layer until the
Starting point is 00:02:01 final and then they're like, we got to get this out in the open. What? You know how many people would be able to see this rooftop fight from those windows in Hong Kong? But they're just like, oh, what, another kumate with women ew no i'm not watching that avert my eyes i don't want to be one of the twelve men watching this the combatants are dressed in black and white so obviously one is good and one is bad sure sure easy to tell yeah yeah yeah and they've got like those like split to the hips but long flowing dresses at the same times that they're fighting in right yeah yeah i don't recall kumatee being timed like they time out on this one right no they they draw because they They both flip out of the ring at the same time.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Oh, right. Okay, never mind then. Yeah. I was too busy looking at the roads of Hong Kong to which I've written. That's too many lanes. It's like fucking Florida. They always say Hong Kong, Florida of the east. That's what they say.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Yeah. And Florida is the Hong Kong of the West and the Southern America's. Southern portion of America. Florida is the Hong Kong of America's ding-dong. Exactly. Perfect. So they have to share the prize. If you draw, if you get a tie at the end of Koumante, you have to share the prize.
Starting point is 00:03:21 And if you don't want to share the prize, you got to be dicks to young ladies for the next five years. You have to, you nominate entering a contestant, someone to fight on your behalf in the next tournament. You have to train them. Just five years later? Yeah, five years later. Wait for three months. Wait until three months. are left and then find somebody.
Starting point is 00:03:44 You could have been training someone for five years. Also, this is the 435th kumetee that they're doing. Whoa. If it happens once every five years, how long has this kumathe been running for? 435th, do they say that? They do at one point, yeah. 435 times five is 2,175 years.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Did Jesus see a kumete? Is Jesus Sean Claude Van Tame? Whoa. it's like the third hellhouse movie Russell I didn't understand why they couldn't just fight each other again next time yeah you gotta train somebody kumatoe 2,000 years old they got rules
Starting point is 00:04:27 they got rules standards here in the kumatae so we spend the next five years going to different locations to bring ladies into the kumatay there's like they so the man who ends up being like basically the bookie of the kumat is also the scout for Kumatee. So he's like watching an Australian lady arm wrestle. And then whip everybody's ass in a bar fight.
Starting point is 00:04:50 She ruled, by the way. Yeah, she's great. Cassidy. And cheeks for days. She's gorgeous woman. Yeah, she had those, those, what's that TV show? Heeded rivalry cheeks. What?
Starting point is 00:05:03 I'm not seen heated rivalry now. Watch the first episode just to see the butt cheeks on these dudes. It is insane. Hockey legs? insane. It looks like they're wearing sater costumes. Here's my problem. Yeah. I'm worried that if I start watching heated rivalry, I'll like heated rivalry.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Yeah, you fucking love it. Yeah. Just see a couple of dudes blow at each other for fucking... I do love that idea. Yeah, why wouldn't you want to watch that then? I don't know. Is it like really something I need to add into my... Yeah, actually, all right. I'm going to watch heated rivalry. I was making fun of it and Missy's like, just watch an episode
Starting point is 00:05:34 before you make fun of it. I was like, fine. I watched an episode and I went, this is not for me, but I love that you love it. Good, got it. Yeah. But are there like cozy crimes to be solved because I don't know. God. No, I said it's up for me. You're right. You're right.
Starting point is 00:05:49 I'm so sorry. Oh, man. But she's, well, while she's fighting, I think that's when she's fighting. It might be somebody else is fighting. Yo, it's somebody else. They go to Brazil. They go to Sydney. They go to Brazil.
Starting point is 00:06:05 They go to Russia, I assume. Presumably. I think it was in Brazil when the, like, ladies, fighting in a fluella and somebody gets kicked off the side of something and there's a Wilhelm scream and I was like well done whenever I hear one I think lovingly of you yeah it's very exciting I wish the band a Wilhelm scream was something I wanted to listen to they're pretty shit yeah not my stees no um we finally get to America yeah we've got a waitress and a diner oh where in America are we I'm not sure Pittsburgh how do you know because it says on the Kairon
Starting point is 00:06:36 Pittsburgh I missed that she's one of ours that would have changed this whole movie for me. And I was like, sorry. No, why did that guy have that accent? Is this what you think Pittsburgh is? West Virginia, maybe. I'll give you West Virginia. I'll give you 20 miles to the south of Pittsburgh.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Not the Paris of Appalachia, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. So I assume she was supposed to be working on an Eaton park. Of course. Jesus. I'm so bummed that I missed that. And she's kind to a woman and a young girl who can't afford to buy their meal at the Eden Park. she's like it's fine.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Yeah. It's fine. And then this fucking man gets all gross with her. I hate men. For the worst. Sorry you guys are paying to hear me say that. She would never say that of the free feed. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:07:26 I keep my misandry to the pay. What's the guy's name? Also, he pronounces it wrong. What is his name? Donnie. Donnie. Donnie. Not Donnie.
Starting point is 00:07:35 See, that would have made me mad. No, he's like, he's got this like, fucking faux hillbilly accent. Yeah. What do they think about? Exactly. In 2015, I think we were rated in the most livable city in America. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:48 How'd that go? How'd that work out for everybody? I mean, the air quality is bad. Yeah. And housing prices have gone way up. Yeah. Yeah. And the racial inequalities of maintaining.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Yeah. That's across. That's everywhere, though. That's not unique to us. Yeah, it's true. Well, at least the EPA is going to clean up that air. Hey, at least we only had one. explosion at the Coke works this year.
Starting point is 00:08:13 I feel like every time I tune into the news, a.k.a. open my Google news app. Yeah. There's like, another chemical planet's exploded. I was like, I wonder why that's happening. Who could have seen this coming? Oh, God. So she breaks a dude's finger and knocks his ass out
Starting point is 00:08:29 after he, like, gets touchy-feely with her. Yeah. And knocks his tooth out. Maybe killed him. He looks dead for a moment. It does look dead. Because, like, killing a customer on the job will probably get you fired, even if he does suck real bad. Because she seems stunned to be fired for killing this man.
Starting point is 00:08:47 And just throwing out a word to the wise, try to avoid head punches if you have to fight somebody. Because you don't want to catch a murder charge of this shit. You don't want to catch a murder charge. No. Not just because. Gouch their eyes out instead. Yeah, exactly. You maim them.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Yes. Yeah, yeah. It's a lighter sentence. So she goes, she gets, she gets fired and she leaves and she goes out to the parking garage of the Eden Park. And he lives. He's alive. lived and he's got buddies. He's got a bunch of friends who are like, yeah, let's go kick the shit out of a woman.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Let's go beat this woman's ass. What? That doesn't happen, does it? Yes. Except one guy has like a change of heart, I guess, and is like, hey, get off her, man. What did you think you were coming here to do, Brian? Hey, Brian, we're going to get out of this fucking garage where I know she parked because I know where I know where she park. Look, there's only one place to park for the, she's in the Eat and Park employee section.
Starting point is 00:09:34 And I'm going to fight her and then probably sexual assault her. And then, uh, I'm like, that does sound good. All right. Oh, come.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Oh, you said fight and sexual. I'm sorry. I thought you said right to her. And Mexicanly, um. Brian, you idiot. Just,
Starting point is 00:09:55 he was going to bring her a margarita. Yeah. Yeah. So she, she whips all their asses. Yeah. She even chases one guy down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:01 And I, just a punch him a few times. I was like, as a lady, this would probably feel pretty good to watch. Yeah. Um, but
Starting point is 00:10:07 There's no kumate guys here watching. No, the kumatay guys aren't here to see it. Then she goes home and like, you know, I know when I kick the shit out of a few men, I like to finish it up with a PBR, just a nice cold PBR from the fridge. Can't even get an Iron City in there? Ah, fuck. Factual inaccuracies in this film. She goes to the sink and she's got a spit out blood.
Starting point is 00:10:33 And she goes, ha, p, p, ha, p, and I was like, oh, no, she's bad at spinning. But like this lady's a stunt woman She's probably been hit in the face She should know what to do She's probably spat blood before her Yeah You go, huck bleh
Starting point is 00:10:47 Yeah Hawk bleh It's like you're the new hawk to a girl You need a crypto coin And then go to jail Or whatever happened to her She didn't go to jail No
Starting point is 00:10:56 She's pretty white lady She ain't going to jail No pretty white ladies Don't go to jail do they No Except for Martha Stewart She went to fun prison I want to go to fun
Starting point is 00:11:04 I want to go to adult summer camp jail With the job you have, you could end up there. You could make a couple choices. You're right. When I start Bernie made off and everyone, it's called a Fonzie scheme. It's different than a Ponzi scheme because at the end of it, you go, hey. Very good.
Starting point is 00:11:25 That's a joke for the kids. Her mom's a drunk. Oh, yeah, predictably. Predictably. Like all good Pittsburgh women are. Like all good moms that are going to be like, fucking useless. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:39 We learn that her dad was a fighter. We see a photo of him. Yeah. He looks kind of like the guy from Terminator in this photo. The one who comes back. Oh, sure. Yeah. What's that actor's name?
Starting point is 00:11:50 He's in like a ton of things. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, for sure. For sure. He's an alien. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Michael Ben Ben. I don't know. I don't know. I can't think of it. Not bien. No. Wait, what did you say? Michael Bean.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Michael Bean. Yeah, there we go. I saw someone posted something on our subreddit that was like the closest you can come to being a ghost is hearing two podcasts. I was trying to remember a piece of trivia that you know. So she goes to leave and the mom goes, where are you going, honey? And she goes, the kumate. And her mom goes, okay, but make sure you don't end up like your dad. And bring back cigarettes.
Starting point is 00:12:36 So fucking lame. Oh, the writing in this movie Oh, tell me more. Is fucking a trod. Like, while watching this, I went, we could write a movie. Oh, my God, yes. We could write a movie. Oh, just to let you guys know, I did let Katie down because I had not watched this movie when we last saw each other yesterday.
Starting point is 00:12:58 And she was like, well, don't watch it. And I'll just explain it all to you. I thought that would be a great setup for an episode. And then when I got here this morning, I was like, did you watch it? And he was like, yeah, I just finished it. And I was like, well, what the fuck, man? I remember when we did that movie? When we did Freddy versus Jason for that Kill-Bull-Kil-Kil-Kil.
Starting point is 00:13:21 And we just had to watch like 10 minutes of the movie. And then I felt like I didn't do my homework. Yes, totally unprepared for the test. So, like, the idea of not watching the movie, unless it's Titanic style, unless we're going back and forth. Yeah. We did that with something else, too, didn't we? Or did we only do that? that once? I think we've only done it once.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Really? Yeah. No. No, we did it with something else. You're Terminator. Terminator 2. We did it with Terminator 2. We broke up Terminator 2. Why did we do that? I don't know, but we got the timestamps wrong and I ended up watching a lot more of the movie that you did. Math's hard. That's me cookies for the boy. All right, so we're back with the lady in the white from the beginning fight. Yes, shoe. She is running a temple where she has girls coming in to sweep leaves. But some of them, she doesn't even give a chance to try.
Starting point is 00:14:09 This is the most low budget Kung Fu master bullshit. I'm just like, well, I'm watching them sweet. The first girl, yeah, she walks in and she hits the broom on the door and she's like, no, here's your $50. Just leave. Yeah. I'm not putting up with this. She is running out of time.
Starting point is 00:14:25 She's Mr. Miyagi and everyone. Yeah. And it's just, it is low, it's low budge. It's low rent. It's just sucks. Yeah. She yells at the sky, not yells. She scolds the sky.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Three months left and you still haven't given me one. one good candidate. I don't know, maybe go look at martial arts schools. Go ahead. Hit some tournaments. Maybe you need to recruit. What about sweeping, though? Have you thought about sweeping?
Starting point is 00:14:49 I just feel like whoever's going to get sent to you to sweep leaves might not be a fighter. Sure. Especially with only three months to go. Maybe you don't need a fighter. Maybe you need a lover. I don't know what to say to that. Neither of the people who wrote the script for this movie. No.
Starting point is 00:15:17 So the other lady. Yeah, the other lady. What's her name? I don't know. It doesn't know. They don't give you anybody's name. Why? Until W.A.I.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Why? Until like 50 minutes into the film that we start naming. It's too late. It's too late. They've already all got nicknames. Yes. I call her squinting is not acting. I called her the evil one.
Starting point is 00:15:39 Yeah. She also can raise one eyebrow really high, which is also really carrying her acting. Yeah, for sure. But who comes in to fight with her? Who is it? Only the coolest goth lady who's ever been into fighting stuff. See, they like strip her of her cool goth stuff later. Let her be a cool god.
Starting point is 00:16:00 I call, she has red eye entirely in my notes because she has a red right eye when we first meet her. And then she makes her take it out. Yeah, take that away from her. Although fighting with contact lens is probably not. the wisest decision. Well, what I do, I've got to wear contact lenses. I'm not going to work glasses. Yeah, but then they're going to get knocked all around in your eyeballs.
Starting point is 00:16:15 What am I supposed to do? You have to start blind training now so you can start blind fighting. You're right. You can meet up with Zaduichi and start learning how a blind fight. Yeah, so this lady comes in and she's like looking around at the swords. The red eye is, this cool goth lady. And the fucking sensei is just like, hey, go fight her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:38 She wants another lady. And the lady's like, okay. Yeah, all right. She says you want to spar? No way, but I'll fight you. Did she not know what sparring was? I guess it's like pulling your punches, but still. I don't know why this lady came up and asked me if I wanted to go to Sabaro.
Starting point is 00:16:52 No, but I'll fight you. No, I don't need diarrhea today. Thank you. You go spar? Spar. They're not in Pittsburgh. They're in a shell and country gym. Why is there a stack of tires in this gym?
Starting point is 00:17:04 Oh, for the gym also rents itself out to being a, what's that cult gym? Crossfit. Yes. Where you got to flip tires all day long. All day long. And then tell everybody about how you did it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Oh, the veganism of exercise. You know, I knew someone who was a straight-edge vegan cross-fitter. Yeah. Yeah. Did they also do Muay? No. Oh, they will. The path is long.
Starting point is 00:17:31 I mean, yes. Of course I'm jealous that they could do all the cross-fit and the moitai and stick with veganism, which I could not do. Vegan is, come on. Eggs are everything. Cheese is everything. That's true. That's true. That's true.
Starting point is 00:17:47 So, yeah, they have a spar fight. It's low impact. She is not the fighter that Jane Jones is. They're like, we need an American name. American name. Jane Jones. I think of the most Pittsburgh name I could think of. Jane Jones.
Starting point is 00:18:01 All of this is just first past the movie. I mean, the movie's called Lady Blood Fight. It's like working title of the film. Listen, we're not sure that we're going to be able to associate ourselves with the Bloodsport franchise. This is the fifth, the fifth fucking entry into Bloodsport. It's a standalone film, too, because it does not have ties to any other movies, apparently. No. Unless the dad was in the previous Kumitae movie.
Starting point is 00:18:29 No, because the previous, well, the star of the previous Kumitae is the guy from the Death Talker remake. Oh, right. Did you tell me that? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, who can say? And I was like, oh, quick, I have to remember what that guy looks like because he's just like Brock hard chain.
Starting point is 00:18:45 I didn't remember the fuck he looked like. I love that your go-to name for like masculine men is Brock. Is it a Brock Lesnar thing? I think it's Brock Lesnar thing. I think it's Brock Lesnar thing. It's just in your brain. I mean, who doesn't want to get a punching knife tattooed square in the middle of their chest? It's not square in the middle. It is uneven, if I recall.
Starting point is 00:19:08 So then we're back to our American. And she's seemingly shocked that whilst being in Hong Kong, when she asks for directions, the person does not respond in English to her. Yeah, she did not prepare on this international flight. She could have learned a few key phrases. Yeah. Like, where's my hostel? Yes. Can you help me?
Starting point is 00:19:29 Because the lady responds. And she just stands her like, what are you doing? What? This is Earth. Speak English. Don't worry Everybody else in the movie will It's true
Starting point is 00:19:40 So She gets off the bus And this fella Walks up to her And he's like hey what do you need I can help you Very helpful Don't go with people that are helpful
Starting point is 00:19:53 Never trust a helpful man In any Even in your hometown Any situation You don't trust a hopefully Yeah yeah What's he being helpful about Why what's it in for him
Starting point is 00:20:02 There's been a few times Where people like I'll be at the grocery store and someone is obviously struggling to get stuff in. And I'll be like, can I help you? And I want to be like, I'm cool. Look, I'm a really chilled six foot two vegetarian. Usually they say yes, but it's just like, I understand what this.
Starting point is 00:20:20 I understand. I was about to say that Pittsburgh is a very friendly place, so it's easier to be helpful. But then I remember that this man just like groped her all over that Eaton Park. Yeah, exactly. And that, I mean, if not a documentary of Pittsburgh, what else could it be? Yeah, exactly. I love that you didn't notice that it was in Pittsburgh. I probably was just writing a note and missed that.
Starting point is 00:20:37 It was on the second, it was on the screen for a split second. So, of course, they're going to robber. These three dudes are going to robber. Doi. Yeah. And the fight is set to a band I invented called Probody. Probity.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Okay. Because it's like, it's like a prodigy. Yeah, prodigy, prodigy song. No, it's progeny. Man, I've had a weekend, y'all. It's like a hard work interviewing a Pulitzer Prize winner. Yeah, and doing yard work. And doing yard work.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Excuse me. I'm sorry. I'm more proud of you for one thing than the other, but I should be proud of both. I wish I could absorb that pride into myself and not just go, you did that wrong. You did that wrong. You did that wrong. Did you not see Vicky sitting in the front row taking 300 pictures of you? I did not see you guys until the very end.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Really? I would look out over the crowd and just be like, glaze. Vicki was like, we should sit up front. It'll probably help him to look at you. And then she just kept photographing you. She's so proud of you. Love her so much. She's an angel baby.
Starting point is 00:21:39 She's a dream. She's a gem. And I don't know if Tessa is a Patreon, but thank you very much for Tessa for suggesting me to do that. She's a rad, rad lady. And if you all haven't, check out Daniel Krause's books. They're really, really good. And he's a very nice guy as well.
Starting point is 00:21:57 I found him a bit off putting. So while Prodigy is playing, she gets into a play with these guys. It starts whipping their ass. asses, but then she gets her ass whooped. She gets her ass whooped. But luckily, the lady in white is watching all this, and she comes in and she saves her. She does. And then she takes her to her house and makes her sleep on a rattan pillow.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Yeah. Which one of, for one of these recruitments, I have written, this is kidnapping, actually. I can't remember which one isn't allowed to leave. I think it's the, I think it's the evil one. Oh, yeah. Because the goth lady comes back in to steal the antiquities that are in the the dojo. Right. Then they start sword fighting.
Starting point is 00:22:42 And she cuts her in the armpit and I was like, oh, that's going to fucking hurt. Honestly. And then she's like, you're now my fight slave and you'll be my fight slave forever. Oh, yes. She calls her, she's something about being a sharpened weapon with a purpose to which I've written. I wish I was a sharpened weapon with a purpose. I'm a dull, too flexible butterdife. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Yeah. I'm one of those silicon spatulas. Hey, you're good for getting the last of the mayonnaise out of the jar. That's something. I'm a mayo girl. I mean, if nothing else. When people are like, what's Katie like? Mayo girl all the way.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Now this bitch can sweep, though. She can sweep those leaves. Are you talking about Jane Jones? I'm talking about Jane Jones. Yeah, she sweeps it. She works in a restaurant. Exactly. She had to clean up that eating bark.
Starting point is 00:23:31 she sweeps those leaves and she finds a little bird at the leaves. Yes, a dead bird. And then for some inexplicable reason, our lady in white can golden child this bird back to life? She's magic. She has magic. In this world, magic exists. Why are you kumatang if you have magic? Yeah, why didn't you win if you have magic?
Starting point is 00:23:56 Well, she can't use her magic for her winning. Well, she does, though, ultimately. Sh-h- Okay. Jane Jones sees a picture of her of shoe with a man also, and I was like, oh, that's her dad, too. Did you also assume that good lady and bad lady were sisters? I did not. I assume that they were both in love with the same guy. That's why they hated each other.
Starting point is 00:24:20 I see. Because it always has to be about a man, doesn't it? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ultimately, it is. Yeah, it is. It is. Oh, my God. So, yeah, she brings this little bird.
Starting point is 00:24:31 back to life and Jane Jones is like where did you learn how to do that? It's like working at a pizza shop? No like what do you I don't fuck come on where did you learn bird magic? Where did you learn bird magic? She's a terrible actor great stunt woman terrible actor. There's not a good actor in this film no but the stunts are decent the choreography is fun yeah yeah yeah yeah uh the woman who looks like Russian Gina Carano's. Yeah, she's rad. I want her to kick my ass. So they're having this conversation in the temple.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Sometimes Jane Jones's shirt is on her shoulder, sometimes it's off, but either way it feels inappropriate to expose your bra in the temple. Sure. Yeah, that's all that way. But I mean, you know, you got to keep people interested in the film, right? Sure, especially during the conversation, but... Oh, they're talking again. Kumete, Kumete.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Also, she calls her Mr. Miyagi, and I was like, Is that, that doesn't, that's got to feel weird to you, right? That's racist. Yeah. So she does, you know, as in all good kung fu movies. The student has to learn to do something painful. Yeah. In this, it is sort of punching a bell with your bare goddamn hands.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Yeah, that and standing for hours on end in the rain. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I have a note here that says, I feel like you're not allowed to use swords. in the kumatee so all of this training does not seem worthwhile.
Starting point is 00:26:03 What the fuck? It's so wild that there's a weapons round. Like this is a beauty pageant and they have to do the gown and the swimwear. Like it's wild. I wanted to see a weapons round in a beauty pageant. Yeah. I just, I mean, the women's kumatay is so much harder than the men's. Sure.
Starting point is 00:26:24 The death rate must be so much higher. Because someone's allowed to slit your throat. It's part of the Kumete. I don't even know what this movie is challenging me to pay attention to it. I like to the fight scenes. So the ladies have, they like share a drink of like sake or something. And I was like, okay, this is going to lead to hijacks. We're going to get this like bonding moment.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Pillow fights. Yeah. So we've just moved. Pillow fights. It's going to be girls. It'll be girls. But no, it just immediately cuts to it's kumade. time. Yes.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Jesus grace. Oh no. We have to, first we have to go, uh, we have to, uh, we have to, back to the, but to the bad guys. Yes, we have to get the red eye to impress the kumato guys by starting a fight with a guy's girlfriend at some like outdoor diner thing. Yeah. And she's a great actor. And, and, the evil, sense says to her, you get the prize money and get back to your life. and goth girl says back to the streets no dipshit because you have the prize money you can just get an apartment
Starting point is 00:27:35 I have a million dollars and I'm homeless no you can make other decisions now I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas they're just ruining these random people's nights they're just having a nice time at this diner what if hear me out every time you see a street fight
Starting point is 00:27:55 it's just someone trying to get into Gumbetay They actually They may have killed this man She hit him with a dim mock Yeah she hit him with a dim mock And says that If the ambulance gets there in time He won't die
Starting point is 00:28:07 He was just hanging out He was just hanging out And she like crawls into his lap And is like hey baby I missed you last night But you can make it up to me tonight And then starts staring at the lady Like
Starting point is 00:28:19 You should hit me now Now we hits Now we do hits But that's the end of dim mock I was like Is she gonna teach her dim mock Is this gonna come back? Back up?
Starting point is 00:28:29 No. No. Also, three months just doesn't seem long enough to learn anything. No. Imagine having to learn something. As someone who is currently trying to relearn songs that he wrote 30 years ago, I'm glad that I had a year build up to this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:44 It's not three months. Seriously. So now they're at the Kumita. Now they're at the Kumitae. And they've got to sign in a Kumete. Which is just like girls being girls and chatting it up about fighting styles and like complimenting each other. It's the Aussie.
Starting point is 00:28:56 She's very cheeky and fun. She's lovely. Yeah. She's lovely. Also, this is where we learned that, uh, that red eye is illiterate. Yes, she doesn't, she can't write her name. She signs with an ex. I thought, holy ghost.
Starting point is 00:29:09 What? You ain't got her be able to write to fight. It's what her trainer says to her. Yes, yes. You don't need to write to fight. And then when Jane Jones says, signs her name, the good sensei says, the better the writer, the better the fighter. She signs her name in Chinese.
Starting point is 00:29:26 I don't, I don't know if it's Mandarin. I don't, But she signs her name in the dialect. She's like, oh, I'm glad to see all that calligraphy we did paid off. You learned calligraphy, calligraphy in three months? I could not learn calligraphy in three months with trying every day not training for a kumete. I've already lost cursive handwriting. Oh, I still have cursive.
Starting point is 00:29:50 I am proud of that. I only use it when I write things. Then I show it to Lucey and be like, what does this say? You're so stupid school. to do you teach you this. Stupid rubber face in it. Now she can usually read it. She's probably good.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Yeah. It's a pretty easy read. Yeah. Yeah. We meet, we officially meet Kumae's most ardent patron patron. And then I thought, oh, should we have a most ardent patron contest? God, no.
Starting point is 00:30:16 What's ardent anyway? What makes him ardent? Oh, he's just a strong supporter. And he might murder people. And he might murder people. And he might, mm-hmm. No, it does not seem that. Anyone explained the rules to them before they got there?
Starting point is 00:30:30 Nope. Because they're like just now learning how you like take someone out, how you win in Kumatee. Yeah. Feels like that should be at the, you know, objective should be at the top. I love that in our, I've only seen Bloodsport one. Mm-hmm. Same. The titular blood sport.
Starting point is 00:30:46 The best of the blood sport, I would assume. And in that it's like this like, you were like, oh, of course, this is a thousand-year-old practice. They're in like a dirt ring with like everything's all janky looking. and this they just put down like construction tape on the floor and be like can't go out of thought of here yep this is girl kumatee we set up 16 folding chairs and four of them are empty so we get a locker room scene we're seeing a lot of butts yeah no male gaze in this locker room scene obviously and this well and participating in the male gaze this is when I said that
Starting point is 00:31:19 the Australian lady has cheeks for days cheeks for days yeah she's using some tiger balm Yeah. And Jane says to her, you're really friendly. That's it. That's the end of the dialogue. Yeah. Because then the Russian lady walks by and they're all like, because she's got a big scar over her eye. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Which is cool. She's cool. I like her a lot. Covered in Russian tattoos, the things that I wish I could get, but I can't. No, no, no, no. No, you will look like a fucking white supremacist. Also, I never want to be like at the beach and have some like Russia guy just staring at me like, you're in that?
Starting point is 00:31:53 When Vladimir comes over and kicks the shit out of you. Because I really like the, uh, the stars on the knees that means I will kneel for no man. Oh. And I was like, oh, I like that a lot. We can get something different on your knees. You just write, I will kneel for no man. How about just little hearts on your knees? It'd be so cute.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Everyone's like, this guy sucks dick. This guy, he did rivalries. I have this like long-term plan of getting elephants tattooed on my thighs. We'll see if that ever pays out. Really? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I really like elephants. Fair. I mean, you don't have to explain to dumb tattoos to me.
Starting point is 00:32:29 I was just going to go in and explain the full tattoo. You don't need to hear about that. You can tell me later. Tell me off the air. Yes. And we get the locker room scene and then we get immediately into the first match. And I'm like, how was there an hour left and we've already started Kumete? I feel like it should be more training. Kumitae is all encompassing. Yeah. Jane is fighting in Chucks, which feels she's American. Oh, she's for Pittsburgh. Yeah, exactly. She's dumb.
Starting point is 00:32:57 They did not seem to practice not falling off the platform, which feels pretty crush. It feels like it's pretty crush part of continuing on in Kumatei. Forgive me if this is a crass question. Go. But at the beginning of their fight, her titties are already dirty, like she's been rolling around on the floor. I mean, maybe that's how she, like, hypes up, you know? She's like a dust bath, like a bird. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:33:22 She wins her fight. Don't worry about it, guys. Yeah, kicks her off the platform. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And then the Russian lady's up next. And she's a brutal fighter. She takes on the boxer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Who is built like a goddess. I can't. This woman is so fucking beautiful. She's got those muscles. Those muscles. Those muscles. Those are traps. Traps.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Yeah. I find it hard to believe that the boxer would leave her face open so that she could be kicked to death in one hit. It did. When she walked onto the, uh, onto the, uh, onto the platform and she, like, got into a boxing Sansa. I was like, I don't think that's boxing. No. I don't think you're boxing right now. I don't think you are either. You're not protecting any of your vitals.
Starting point is 00:33:58 No. No. No. She loses. Red Eye also wins. Boy, I wonder if they'll end up in the final. Probably not. Yep. We go off into the city. Jane sees the kids that have attacked her in the beginning in the movie. Well, first we, there's like a whole long, like,
Starting point is 00:34:19 montage of fights. Oh, sure. With all the different styles. Like we get a jujitsu and they all have them sort of like dressed in culturally, different like culturally recognizable outfits. Yeah, which is like on part with the first movie. Exactly. But they all just seem to be doing some punching with some kicking. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Yeah. I mean, at the end of the day. At the end of the day. It's all just punchy kicky. Punchy kicky. Punching kicky. Punchy grappley. Before, um, evil lady has, before goth lady has her fight.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Yeah. Her evil master says, be quick. Be cruel. And I thought like, there's a series of Disney movies that Lucy likes called Descendants, which is about the children of the Disney villains. So like the main character is Maleficent's daughter. Okay. And she's friends with like the evil queen from Snow White's daughter.
Starting point is 00:35:09 And it's, I actually think they're fairly entertaining. And the songs are bangers. Okay. But it's, like, the parents are so over the top, like, you gotta be bad. And all the songs are like, we're evil and we love to be evil. And it just, it was like, this is a movie for adults, though, you know? Like, we don't have to do that. We can understand subtlety.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Can we? I don't know. Also, do you think it's weird that they all shower in a locker room together afterwards, like they're a hockey team? No. No. Okay. Yes, of course I do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Yeah. Also, is this a kumate-specific space? I was like wondering if it was just a gymnasium that they had rented out so that they could use the locker room but just like run this in the basement. Listen, we're going to use your gymnasium. No, no, we're going to bring in a bunch of like box cards. and we're going to have those stacked up. It's going to give it a little grit. China shipping has made a lot of money
Starting point is 00:36:22 to have these in the movie. In the locker room scene I have written, I wish they'd gotten to practice their lines. It's so bad. Yeah, it definitely does not feel like improv. It definitely feels like, uh, I wrote this, when? Now, go, go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:40 But yes, okay, she finds the youths Yes. Who are still carrying around her pictures. instead of just tossing them in the trash. Three months later. We know it's three months. We know three months have passed. Listen, I'm not going to say I ever found a wallet on the street,
Starting point is 00:36:55 took the money out of it and threw it into a garbage can. But that's what you do when you find a fucking wallet on the street. You get rid of that shit. You think if you robbed an American tourist, you'd get rid of some of the evidence, you know? You just have her backpack hanging out at your hideout, I guess. Yeah, it's their clubhouse. He pulls out the photo of her and her father. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:14 And says bye, bye, daddy while lighting it on fire on front of her. Meanwhile, his henchmen are picking up pipes. They're going to murder this woman. You're going to murder this woman. So she fights them. Yeah, kicks their asses. And then she gets fired. Her second firing of the movie, shoe fires her.
Starting point is 00:37:34 You're here for vengeance. Yes. Yeah. From day one, I told you why I'm doing this. Right. There was never. any like question about why she was doing the kumete. I just,
Starting point is 00:37:48 the actress was like, hey, I'm going to do like two weeks off. So if you could just write me out of the movie for a little while. She was gone for a while. Yeah. It's very sleepy or very, very silly. So now Jane is sleeping on the streets.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Yeah. And she gets out the card that she's gotten from the most ardent patron. Right. So she's going to go track him down. She meets him in like a. in the middle of doing a deal where there's a lot of money in a briefcase, but it's not stacked up like money in a briefcase should be. It's just thrown in like a jumble. You couldn't feel it. You couldn't fucking feel it.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Put something. Okay, never mind. Forget it. They don't have gum bands you came from Pittsburgh. Gum bands is what Pittsburgh people inexplicably call rubber bands. I'm not speaking of that. And it foggles my mom to this day. I think it's fine.
Starting point is 00:38:39 I don't say it, but I think it's fine. Okay. I mean, I think it's fine. But it's just like, I remember someone when I first started working here and someone was like, hey, can you hand me a gum band? And I was like, yeah, definitely tell me what that is. I could not use a context clue to figure out they meant rubber band. Gumb band. Can I bring something up here about her father?
Starting point is 00:38:57 Sure. Imagine going to fight in Kumate when you have a child. Didn't even think about that. I mean, what? I guess you're getting like a million dollars at the end of it. Is it a million dollars? I don't think so. I don't know. No one counted it. He's threw money into a fucking briefcase.
Starting point is 00:39:15 It's jumbled. It's not even stacked. It's so inefficiently arranged that it cannot possibly be that much money. Isn't it dollars? I mean, when he hands, when we see a stack of money, it is a hundred dollar bill on top. But I mean, like you can't prove, you can't prove this. Yeah. You got to fan it out. Let me see. There's a couple others in there. All of them. It's like when you put your big bills on the outside so you look rich. Would you put the ones on the outside so no one wants to rob you? I'd rather look rich. I don't carry cash. No.
Starting point is 00:39:45 I always carry cash. Well, then you'll get robbed and I won't. Because I'm a fucking 52-year-old man and thinks of like, you have to have money in your wallet in case somebody needs something. Sometimes I don't even carry my wallet because I can pay for things with my phone. What? Yeah. What?
Starting point is 00:40:01 Yeah. That scares me. The future is frightening. Like every once in a while I have to go back in and turn off the wallet option on my phone. So I was like, why is that? That, you shouldn't be activated. Get out of here. Oh, I use it all the time.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Oh, it scares me. I'm a little scared baby boy. You're scared of everything. I'm scared of the future. So we're back to Kumate. Well, she's trying to ask him about her dad. Because there's no, there's no like Kumitae official hall of records or anything. It's all oral history seemingly.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Well, it's a highly illegal competition that has its own working space. Roop fights. So dumb. So he says something about her father. He made it to the final. Is this where we learned this? Or is that later? No, because he's like, oh, that guy does look kind of familiar.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Oh, an American. Yes, yes, yes. Okay. We learn later from the people when she goes up during the kumete while someone else is fighting. She walks from the table and like, do you know my dad? She asks a statement necklace. Yes. Statement necklace, who for the rest of the movie is wearing these like elbow length gloves
Starting point is 00:41:11 that do not fit her fingers. There's like six inches of glove hanging on the end of it. It looks absurd. She looks like a child walking around whose sock has come most of the way off their foot and it's just flapping and you're like, isn't that driving you fucking crazy? Or she's just going to put on all of her mom's clothes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:26 I'm going to be mommy for a day, but mommy is the judge of Kumate. Imagine being the judge of Kumatee and having kids. Yeah. Do you bring your kids to work? Is that someone like bring your kids to Kumete? This day. This day you have to, yeah. What do you do for the rest of the year or other parts of the five years when you're not going to do today?
Starting point is 00:41:47 All right. Well, now we're in the weapon round. Yeah, weapons round. Yeah. Someone has a how bird. A halberd, yes. That's just for killing. That's just for killing.
Starting point is 00:41:58 I'd be like my weapon is a hunting rifle. Sorry. Oh, it's a bazooka. Weapons is a Sherman tank. Driving through the wall of this gymnasium. Oh, man. So yeah, there's a bunch of, like, fucking people stabbing each other fights. Not even a bunch.
Starting point is 00:42:16 There's, like, two. One woman gets stabbed and then wins. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And there's a woman with a pole arm and then a woman with nunchucks. And I was like, well, pole arms got this. Nunchucks fucking wins. I don't get this. I like that you're really hung up on them using weapons and kumete.
Starting point is 00:42:33 I mean, we're- Not my kumete. Not my kumete. Yes, I'm a kumete purist. So Jane's going to go fight. She's got this long two-handed sword. Yeah, I didn't know she could do that. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:42:48 I mean, right, when she was doing calligraphy practice, she was also practicing this sword. We just didn't see that. We just didn't see that. We didn't see it. But this, before her fight, she asks the Kumete judges about her dad. And the statement necklace lady says he might have been champion had he been brave enough to return for the final match. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:04 He quit, in quotes. She also, when they announced that she uses the double-handed sword, she goes over to the wall of weapons. Looks at everything. Looks at everything like she has no idea which one is the double-handed sword. She's like, ah, fuck, oh, fuck, I fuck. It's like when your dad's, like, get me the three-eighths wrench or whatever, and you're like, oh, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:43:28 You wanted the toaster? Her opponent also uses a long-bladed weapon. Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. One of them floppy swords on the end of a stick. Yeah, blah-da-la-la-da-la. They're not making out. That's... No, that's a different sound. It's the same sound. We use that for everything. So... It's raining. Blah-da-la-da-da-da. Got my feet are hurting. So he wanted a to toast her.
Starting point is 00:43:59 So she... Her sword breaks. Yeah. And then she has to fight with just the handle of the sword. I am unclear on what happens in this, even though they do it in slow motion this sequence. Like, what happened to her opponent? She picked up the sword handle and threw it at her opponent and it hit her square between the eyes and knocked her ass out. Okay, that's what I thought, but it seemed so stupid that I couldn't believe it actually happened.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Okay, okay. She immediately has a bruise between her eyes. It's great. I loved it. It's so stupid. Oh, now, Cassidy, the Aussie. The Aussie versus the Russian. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:37 And they've had some, they've had some like back and forth, uh, animosity. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And like, obviously the Russian lady is Chongli. Chongley from Bloodsport. Sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I love Chongley.
Starting point is 00:44:50 I love that actor so much. She's cut, uh, like, uh, fuck, why can't I think of the, the name for the metal teeth that people put in their mouths? Grills. Grills. She's got a grill. And, but it looks. like they just flattened aluminum foil and put it over her teeth. Yeah, I imagine the actress being like,
Starting point is 00:45:09 ow, oh my feelings. She has sick abs though, I'll tell you what. Yeah. Yeah. This movie made me want to exercise. Yeah, she also has a very weird face to jaw ratio.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Her jaw is very tiny. Yeah. Yeah. I'd be afraid of you break it in a fight so tiny. No, she's so buff. She's so buff. So they fight. she whips the living shit out of Cassidy.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Yeah. And then... It's like two swords versus one sword, I think, in this one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then, but she gets rid of her sword. Yeah. Yeah, they end up just like jujitsuing and punching. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Yeah. And then how does she end the fight? She... She... Cassidy is down. She's very badly wounded. Yeah. She's trying to crawl out of the ring to end the fight.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Yeah, to Jane Jones. Jane Jones, who is reaching to pull her out of the ring, but is being held back by Kumate officials? I don't know. So she's reaching for Cassidy. Cassidy's reaching for her. The Russian lady pulls her back into the middle of the ring and slits her fucking throat.
Starting point is 00:46:19 I mean, there were definitely murders in the first blood sport. Yeah, Chongli. Chongli's a murderer. He, like, punches dudes to death. Yeah, slitting someone's throat. Like, you should be allowed to quit Kumete. Like it should be like knocked out Knocked out of the ring
Starting point is 00:46:35 Yeah And forfeit Listen I don't want to say this Yeah But you're coming off a bit like an American coward right now Wow American coward dad Who it walks away from the kumete
Starting point is 00:46:47 Wow fair You gotta be willing to die in the kumete It's the stupidest fucking thing That a bold face liar Made up to say that he did Yeah it's just It's just Like at some point during this movie
Starting point is 00:47:01 I was like, wait, this whole fucking thing is just based on some lying dudes lies about lying. Five movies they made about this guy's lying. You fucking bad shit, fucking lunatic. So we're till the semifinals are next. What's that going to be? Interview, talent, talent portion. And Jane Jones is talking to her dad in the mirror.
Starting point is 00:47:25 She's yelling at him, actually. I don't think that's a thing people do. And I have a note right here that says, Ha ha, talk to Ghost Dad. Boy, is that going to come back and bite me in the ass? Boy, it is. Also, the Russian lady's last name is Chekhov, to which I've written. Ha, ha, that has to be some kind of.
Starting point is 00:47:44 I couldn't come up. I just, that was it. Some kind of. Is there something less than a first pass? It's like, you know, when you're falling asleep and you were like half asleep and you wake up and you're like, wow, I was thinking about something really weird, but she can't remember what it was.
Starting point is 00:48:01 That's what it is. It's one of those. So she's covered in Cassidy's blood because she tried to administer her first age. Yeah, that white sports bra is covered in blood. Covered in blood. And a goth lady comes in. Her name is Ling. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:16 And they have like a bit of back and forth like, Daddy won't save you now. But it's like a pep talk as well. Yeah, because it also Ling says to her, so that's it. You forfeit? And she never said that. Why would you even ask that? Well, if you're having a fucking bloody Brock pep talk talk or ghost dad talk, it's true.
Starting point is 00:48:35 You're probably going to forfeit. I guess I would assume that as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I also don't think you should have to fight twice in the space of like a few hours. Why is she fighting again the same day? What weeks off. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Your body needs time to recoup. Especially after the weapons round. And you watch your friend die. They're calling her out like free up. Get out here. You called her twice. I mean, we can end up right now. We can just call it right now, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:58 She's quitting just like her. dad. So she's got to fight Chekhov. Checkoff. She's Chekhov's Chekhov. She's Chekhov's Chong Lee. I'm trying to remember what other movie we did that he showed up in. Maybe The Drunken Master or something.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Some one of those. God, I love him. Every time I see him. It's so great to see him when he was old and he stopped being super buff and just looks like a regular dude. Oh, good. Because that had to be a lot of fucking work. I mean, I don't think he was Natty, as they say. What?
Starting point is 00:49:29 How disappointing were those enhanced games, by the way? Oh, I love it. I love that. No, but nobody like ripped their arms off trying to lift weights or anything. Like I wanted it to be banana times. Do you think Jose Canzegro watched them? Yes, and masturbated the entire time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Jose says. But this is bad. Jane Jones is getting the shit punched out of her. Just the absolute bejesus beaten from her. How does Master Shoe find out that Jane's losing? A dead parakeet falls from the sky. Shit. Is it the parakeet that she brought back to life?
Starting point is 00:50:10 Well, I had a second chance. Yeah. So I'm unclear on what the rule is for the end of the fight. Because when Jane Jones throws that sword hilt or whatever, and it hits the lady in her head and she gets knocked out, they call it immediately. Yeah, she knocked out. It's done. But Jane Jones is now lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious. And they're like, seemingly dead because the bird fell out of the sky.
Starting point is 00:50:32 Seemly dead. And they're like, let's give her a minute. So what is the rule? Well, is she a white lady? Yeah. We're going to give her a minute. Got it. But Shue knows that she's in trouble because the bird fell out of the sky.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Wow. Shoe is magic. It's so stupid. But then she's back on her feet because she's back from the dead and loving it. She gets up and just like punches the checkoff lady. And she says, that's for Cassidy. She slit Cassidy's throat. You punched her in the face.
Starting point is 00:51:08 She has won. She wins still. Come on. I didn't put any cream cheese on your bagel. That's for Cassidy. Yeah, exactly. Dry bagel motherfucker. You chew it, bitch.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Ultimately, they're both down. Yeah. But then what happens? She wins. How does she even win? She knocks her out of the ring. Got it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:31 The bookie is big mad. Yeah. Arden Patron is not happy. Yeah. And he's like, you know what? I actually do know your father. Yeah. He's like, um, I shot him with this gun that I'm holding right here.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Here that I'm going to tell you about how I shot your father 18 years ago. How could it be 18 years, brough? It's every five. Who's either 15 or 20, my dude? Listen, this is Kumete, not math. Matay. He does such an I'm a bad guy speech. And then she's like, wait, did you kill Shue's fiancé too?
Starting point is 00:52:07 Doi. And I was like, that wasn't her dad? Oh, okay. I wasn't dad or brother or lover or brother or lover? And he's like, yeah, I killed Shoe's fiance also. Who the fuck is Shoe? So Shoe was supposed to marry Evil Lady. Why?
Starting point is 00:52:25 Her name is Y. Yeah. Wise brother. Jake. Imagine naming your kids, why and Jake. Short for Jacob. He made one mistake and she abandoned him. Who's saying this?
Starting point is 00:52:39 Oh, this is, evil lady is saying this to her protege. Because the protege is like, who's the fella in your picture? Got it. He made one mistake and she abandoned him. She broke his heart and he killed himself. Never hate. Just love turned to poison. All right, lady.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Never trust a big butt in a smile. Never trust a big button to smile. So she was working on Jane Jones. Oh, yeah. She's going to burn her back to life. She's like, wow, you have broken ribs and internal bleeding. You're a fucking CT scan, my dude. How do you know?
Starting point is 00:53:12 She's the best. Fuck your Western medicine. We got this shit. Dog shoes here. You're right. She says to her, have you learned nothing? I taught you. Well, no, because she's still a beginner.
Starting point is 00:53:23 She just got here three months ago. You couldn't even have hit intermediate it by this point. This is three months. You're level two. At best. You're still white belt. What are we doing here?
Starting point is 00:53:32 Yeah. You're in the class with the kids. Good people should never seek vengeance. Fuck that. Also, hold a grudge. We started talking about synchronicity and I was like that police record. What are you talking about? You have not said this word before.
Starting point is 00:53:50 More of a ghosting machine man myself. Orlando steam more for me. God, that's an unfuckable one. unfuckwithable record. It is also unfuckable. Don't try to fuck it. Don't try to fuck it. Unless you got a CD, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:54:02 And you've got a little thin dick. Yo, I'm a thin dick. It's getting touch. You fucking CDs. Just going, move it up first though, because you could get scraped. Okay, so wait, there's a
Starting point is 00:54:14 on the back of the burn. Never say we never give you good advice. No, please. I'm a doctor. On the back of the burnt photo of her and her dad. Fuck me. What does it say? Oh, I didn't write it.
Starting point is 00:54:26 But Daddy wrote this for you, not for me. Oh, God. Yeah, why would he have written it for a shoe? She goes, this message isn't for me. It's for you. I'm trying to remember what it said, and all my brain will do is that, like, God grant me the serenity to. But it's something to that effect, right? Southern by the grace of God.
Starting point is 00:54:51 It's the, whatever you're thinking, it's the stupidest thing you could possibly be thinking. And it looks like dad wrote it with his offhand. Like, dad was also illiterate. I don't want anybody be able to identify my handwriting, so I'm doing this lefty. Oh, my God. So now it's time for the final, which is not held in the basement of the gymnasium. It's held on a dock. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:13 You got to do the last one outside. I mean, it looks to be a beautiful sunny day. Like, people are probably out there taking out their fishing boats or, like, going out for, like, have a picnic with their loved ones on the boat. No, these bitches around here kicking each other. I can't believe that this far into the movie is the first time I've written the dialogue is atrocious. It's certainly not the first time you thought it. Also, I have a note this is double floppies. And that just sounds like I'm talking about boobs.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Titties, yeah. But it's when they both, they're doing something and both of them do like a kick flip over onto their backs at the same time. And I was like, that was really cool. That was really cool. She was a witch. What is she doing that makes her a witch at this point? I mean, she healed her with.
Starting point is 00:55:56 fucking water magic. Yeah, that's true. But now, uh, uh, she gets like a light dim mock and is bleeding from her ears and her mouth. Right. More, more mouthblood in this movie than any vampire movie we've ever done. Absolutely. And I just feel like if you were fighting potentially to the death, you would pin your bangs out of your face.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Both of them have their hair covering their eyes. Yeah, it's sessy. I mean, it is very sassy. It's undeniably sassy. They're beautiful in it. Oh, come on. The male gaze needs something to stare at. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:24 And then fucking Obi-Wan. Canobey shows up as a goddamn ghost. It's her dad. It's her dad. And he looks like he's a construction worker taking a break and just eating a sandwich. Like he. But he's see-through and gray. But he's see-through and gray in a crowd of people who are, not a crowd.
Starting point is 00:56:39 A gaggle. I've been doing the show together way too long. Of people who are not gray ghosts. I don't even know if there's enough fuel for a quorum at this thing. No. Absolutely not. And also like how does beating Ling fix anything? And this occurs to me in this moment.
Starting point is 00:56:59 Because Ghost Dad is there. Ghost Dad. He's all smiles. Not Bill Cosby. Also, not Michael Bean from the photo either. It's definitely a different dude. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:57:13 So Ghost Dad gives her the strength and the serenity to kick Ling into the water. To change the things she can, which is kicking Ling into the water. Yeah. And then Sang is like, Sang is the ardent patron. He's like, oh, no, I got to go. I got to leave. Yeah, this other guy, there are seven people there.
Starting point is 00:57:31 He says, you said my bets were safe. Who is he betting against? I mean, I understand the house. Why is saying the keeper of the bets? Like, what? He was he of the loose money in a briefcase. Yes. It was like he brought the dollar box for a red man's house.
Starting point is 00:57:45 Going down to the corner store. He needs to get a soda. He pulls out his gun. He's going to shoot himself. And the man who has been wronged in betting on women's fighting says that a quick death is better than what I have planned for you. Why on earth would say admit to having killed Jake right in this moment? Well, because the pretty blonde lady came up and said, hey, tell him what you did.
Starting point is 00:58:11 And he's like, you got me with all that proof. Would you like to hear the worst bit of dialogue in this entire movie? Please. The blue-eyed bullet from the west I didn't see coming. He says that to her. Blue-eyed bullet from the West. I didn't see coming. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:58:30 So now the ladies are all friends. Well, yeah, because they're kuma butts. Way finds out that Shue had taken on her friend's anger so that she wouldn't be angry at, or so that Way wouldn't be angry at saying, because if Way was angry at sang, he would have killed her. So instead, she got her angry at her. And he tells her that.
Starting point is 00:58:50 He tells you that. He's like, oh, if she was mad at me, I would have killed her. but your buddy did the really good kind thing and then he doesn't shoot himself he allows himself to be taken away I like when Wei walks up to him and she's like gets into a fighting stance and goes nope and then walks away from him
Starting point is 00:59:11 it's so good and Ling has been pulled from the water her eyeliner is fucking perfect I need to find that brand yeah yeah yeah yeah now yes they're running a kid's martial art community at shoes house and don't worry checkoff we return to checkoff's pack of cigarettes hi okay so when she sends her mom a package yeah i thought it was going to be money and i thought jesus christ
Starting point is 00:59:34 your mom doesn't need money she needs rehab but it isn't what is it it's three facts of cigarettes filled with money and she smiles oh wait it was money it wasn't cigarettes but there's also a second on mom's face when she sees that there's not smokes in there. She's like, damn, now I've still got to go to the store. No, I've got to smoke this money. God, fuck this movie. It was fun, though. I'd watch it again.
Starting point is 01:00:06 I'll watch it again when they change the title to Lady Blood Fight rather than Lady Blood Fight. That's a really good point. It took me three tries to watch it. I want to be real clear. Oh, man. Fantastic. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:21 Thanks for picking this, y'all. Good choice, guys. This is a good time. Yeah. We'll be back shortly with another nice one, mate. Yeah, I got to find out what Keeley Haas is up to. Oh, my God. I can't.
Starting point is 01:00:30 I already kind of forget the first ones. We really need to do it soon. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There'll be a new poll up soon to pick another action movie. Yeah, yeah. Thank you all for your patronage. This is your fucking amazing. You guys rule.
Starting point is 01:00:42 What are you guys doing? You're the best. Do you. Thanks for being so nice. Yeah. And giving us money. Yeah. And publicly thank you for coming out yesterday to support.
Starting point is 01:00:51 me in the old chatty chat with the author. I'm going to publicly thank you for being a friend. I hear from being a friend. I was going to say is the best theme song, but it's not. What is? Oh, demonstrably, the best theme song to any TV show ever was the theme song to gummy bears. Gummy bears bouncing here and there and everywhere. We are the gummy bears.
Starting point is 01:01:20 It's really good. It's much better than the show was, if I remember correctly. Why do they need to do anything? Their candy. They don't have to have a life. No, but they got to drink gummy juice so they could bounce around and beat goblins or whatever the fuck they were doing. Woo!
