Starting point is 00:00:00 hey what's your drama welcome to what's your drama i'm sasha i'm laney how are you i'm good um i want to talk about something that i wanted to talk about last week and then i forgot and as i was walking out the door you were like fuck we didn't talk about um yeah so tell me Okay, so the lead up to this is that tomorrow, The Sun is Also a Star movie comes out starring Yara Shahidi and Charles Melton. I've seen the movie. I want to go with you. Oh, you've seen it?
Starting point is 00:00:38 Well, yeah. We had a group text about this. Remember? I was like, we all need to go see this movie together. Yes, but I didn't know that you had already seen it. Oh, yeah, yeah. I've seen it and it's like our kind of shit. I mean, you, I know you're such a realist when you watch movies and you're like, oh
Starting point is 00:00:52 my God, that would never happen. But I'm telling you, you're going to love this movie. Everybody's so hot in this movie. And it gives you like teen rom-com vibes, which no one's complaining about, right? Sign me up. So it gives you enough like slow motion wind going through the hair shots. So does Charles… Plus things to think about.
Starting point is 00:01:08 And does Charles Melton have it? He is so fucking hot. Like I, I went with… Okay, so I went, it was a publicity screening, and I went to a press screening because I, we're talking about this, I had to interview Charles Munton and Yara Shidi. So I went to a press screening, and I went with Kathleen. Okay, that's the perfect person to go with. And, you know, Kathleen loves a teen movie, and I also went with Melissa Grello, because
Starting point is 00:01:40 she was doing a Q&A with Yara and Charles, and so I sat in the middle of Kathleen and Mel. And so Kathleen's basically a 15 year old. So this is her, like Kathleen throughout the whole movie was like, and she was like covering her face with her hair and as if a cute guy was actually right in front of her. And then Mel was the exact opposite. She was like the older woman's reaction. Not that Mel is old. Mel's younger than me. But she was like, oh, yeah. Oh, really? So both were getting off, but in totally different demographics. Yes. So between Kathleen's like teen squealing and Mel's moaning, and then I'm in the middle and I was like, oh, my God, like he is so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Okay. So cut to he walks on the Etox set. Yes. That's where we both work if people didn't know that um and i see charles come up onto the stage i didn't even know he was fucking there and i was like oh my god he is so beautiful and then i saw you literally like tear off his clothes with your eyes from top to bottom and you had this no you had you had this dirty little smirk on your face that i wish i had taken a picture of but i was like watching it in like live motion being like you are a perv. You are a perv. You are so, you were, I like watching your element when you're slightly nervous. You seemed a little bit nervous by his hotness. Oh God. I was, again, I went back to being 15 and like talking to a really cute boy and not being able to compose yourself. He's 29
Starting point is 00:03:22 or something. He's like a full blown adult. 29 I think is safely legal. Fair game. Fair game. Above board. He is so… He's both things. He's beautiful and he's fucking hot. Right. Like, you know how some people are just beautiful? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Like, Timothee Chalamet is beautiful. Yes. I don't know that Timothee is fucking hot all the time, right? No. No. And some people are just fucking hot, but they're not beautiful. I don't know. I get it.
Starting point is 00:03:47 I get it. I can't come up with an example of that. Maybe like… You know what? Channing Tatum. I think Channing Tatum was fucking hot, but I don't think he's beautiful. Okay. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Okay. Also, he, like, was wearing great clothes. Oh, well, no, wait. Rewind. Sorry. I'm just, I am, because after you interviewed him, you were like, come to my office and smell me. Smell me.
Starting point is 00:04:09 And I was like, oh, okay, but why? Okay, this is over text. P.S. Yes. But why? I forget why you wanted me to smell you. Because he came in. Because he smelled so good.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Because he came in for a hug. Yes. And then I was like, oh, shit. I hope when I hugged him, I don't usually hug people. You know, I don't like to hug people, but he came in for a hug and I was like, I'm not going to say no. And then I was like, oh shit, I hope I didn't smell. I'm not a smelly person to begin with, but like, you know, my hormones are weird these
Starting point is 00:04:37 days and I don't know what… It was early morning. I don't know what the next whammy my body is going to give me. It's already like giving me crime scenes every two weeks in my pants. Who knows? Yeah. What? Garlic.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Garlic? What do you mean? Was it after lunch? No, it was in the morning. Yeah, sick. Mind your fucking business. all of a sudden during our conversation
Starting point is 00:04:59 between you and me he like tosses out garlic he's saying I don't process garlic very well which garlic is an amazing food
Starting point is 00:05:08 so whatever it was 9.30 in the morning I texted you and I was like come to my office right now tell me if I smell oh my god
Starting point is 00:05:15 which I wish I could have done but you weren't in your office but okay sorry I digress so he is as beautiful
Starting point is 00:05:22 and hot in person You saw him. Yeah, but I saw him from a distance. I didn't get up close. Oh, he's like, it's just not right. Equally as beautiful and hot is Yara. I can't even imagine what you were doing with those two people in front of you.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I couldn't just, like, my eyes were like, what the fuck are you doing to us? Because they wanted to be in both places at once. Yeah. And Yara is her skin. Yeah, her hair. Her hair. and when she speaks it's it's so thoughtful she has an amazing voice um the way like she answers questions and like her warmth comes out through like the twinkling in her eyes
Starting point is 00:06:06 she's so smart yeah and funny and engaging and fashion and like that outfit was adorable yeah she was really just wearing jeans and a top but it was cool as fuck yeah she is as you said the coolest person um okay so Charles Melton I am just on board I will come see that movie I also and you know what this we've talked about before it's just so nice to have um an Asian he's Korean he's half Korean I don't know what the other half is but to be able to just look at that and be like you're hot and say that and I don't know did you ask him anything about that just being yeah okay what did he say about being he you know he he basically just kind of oh about being a sex symbol I mean, I talked to him about representation and he was basically like, yeah, it's about
Starting point is 00:06:54 time. Yeah. You know? But I will say, this movie's about to open and I hope and want the reaction to him, because he's already on Riverdale. People already know who he is, but this is like next level. And I want people to have the same reaction they had to Noah Centineo when they saw To All the Boys I've Loved Before.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And even more than that. Like, I want people to see this movie and go notebook crazy. Yeah. I think they will. I want them to go notebook crazy and, like, cry and see it so many times. It's so good. I don't want to spoil it, but I will say that, you know, as you mentioned, he's biracial. He has Korean background.
Starting point is 00:07:38 He speaks so much Korean in this movie. Oh. Oh, really? There is… Exactly. See? There is so much Korean in this movie. Language, culture.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Really? Yes. Oh, okay. That makes me a hundred times more interested. Yeah. And I'm not Korean, but like, you know, just to be able to see the culture represented that way. In an American blockbuster movie. Correct. It's so good. Everybody, like, go see the movie because we all need some, like, we all need to squeal together. I am all there for it. Okay. Let's get into some drama. Okay. Okay. First question. Dear Sasha and Lainey, I'm hoping you ladies can have some good advice for
Starting point is 00:08:22 me. I have no one else to talk to about this. I've been very happily married for five years, to the love of my life, and he's a very wonderful husband and father to our one child. We hardly ever fight. We communicate well. Sex is good, although I like a little more kink than he does, but we make it work. My friends and family love him as much as I do. So what's the problem? Here it goes. He's foreign, and so once a year we go to his home country to see his friends and family. Last year, we met the new boyfriend of his sister. Let's call the sister A and her BF Z. I didn't think too much of Z at the time, although he's very attractive and very nice. This year, we went back and spent over a week with his family, including
Starting point is 00:08:54 A and Z. They are in love and buying a house together, hoping to have a child in the next year or two. So as the week passed, I felt myself very attracted to Z, and more the next day and even more the next. Encouraging this attraction, we would exchange glances, he would wink at me, we would find a few minutes to have conversation just by ourselves, and Well, I need, I need, wow, this is not where I thought this was going. Okay, I need to get, I need to, like, put my, twist my head. Like, I, okay. Because you know where this is going.
Starting point is 00:09:24 So she's attracted to Z. Yeah. Okay. We never really touched other than, like, some hugs, but we did sit close to each other if we could. By the time we were there to leave, I was sad knowing that I wouldn't get to see Z again for a long time. Now back home, I'm having sex dreams about him.
Starting point is 00:09:40 I messaged him on Facebook and when he messaged me back, he asked how I was and how I'm doing. I said it was nice to get to spend time with him and said it was a shared pleasure to discover me as well. Neither of us said anything after that. Sigh. So now what? I keep thinking about him. I get horny at work when I'm thinking about him.
Starting point is 00:09:57 I see him online and I want to message him, but I know I shouldn't. What do I do to get over this crush? I don't want to hurt my husband, okay, or A, and I know that the next time I see him, it's going to get even worse after waiting so long to see him again. I know slash think I won't ever act on it. I've never been a cheater, nor do I want to cheat, but the fantasies I have in this mind of mine are what am I going to do with him when I see him next time? Or is this another story that I'm building into my head?
Starting point is 00:10:23 So ladies, what do you say? How do I get over my crush? Thanks in advance, H. So, woof. Okay, so H is… Happily married, but has a hard-on for her husband's sister's boyfriend. Right. Uh, I think that it's, like, obvious, but let's just make it clear.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Yeah. Hazard. Yes. Like, H? Actually, H, we're going to call you Hazard. That is the perfect, perfect name for her. A, Hazard. No.
Starting point is 00:10:54 This is a hazard. Danger. Red alert. Well, I know it's… I feel like I've had boyfriends before where they've had hot siblings, and that's always a little bit like, oh God, what am I doing? What am I doing? I'm like, I'm surrounded by attractive men.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Right. I think it's fun to have fun with that idea, but I'm very scared for the fact that Hazard has reached over Facebook to have these kind of like flirtatious conversations with him. And he's kind of giving her a little bit something, something back too. So that's just like bad all around. Well, it was just one time. Well, he winked at her. he was smiling at her and he said it was a pleasure, or whatever he said, a pleasure
Starting point is 00:11:38 to meet her. He left… I think he was leaving crumbs. Yes. And she… To credit to Hazard, she hasn't picked up the crumbs and put them in her mouth. Sure she did. She…
Starting point is 00:11:48 No, she hasn't contacted him since. No. And she's just, like, privately stalking right now. She hasn't acted on it. So I want to give her credit because I do want to reward the positive behavior. The positive behavior here being you have restrained yourself. Like, you have held back, which is really good. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:07 We can give her that. Yeah. But I think the fact that she's writing us and saying, help me, this crush is a problem. And also, I have a feeling like, you know, when you're like, I would never cheat. I would never do anything bad. I feel like she knows that she is maybe crossing a little bit of a line. Well, okay. hazard. I do appreciate that you haven't, like after that one Facebook, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:12:38 transaction, there hasn't been anything else and it must remain that way. And I don't trust you and I don't think you should trust you either. So how do we move forward and get her to a place where she can trust herself and not get in trouble. I think you, like any sort of, you know, when you have a parent who's a foreigner and they like shame you and they scare you so much that you'll never want to ever do anything bad ever again, I feel like we need to be those for, like we need to be those parents for age, which is bad, bad, bad things are going to happen to you if you even remotely let your brain go there again.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Like I want to make her, I want to shame her. I want to push her in a corner and tell her like, your life is going to fall apart if you even mess with this one more step. Like if you even think that like reaching out again, like something like sending in pictures or anything like that, like do not do any of it. Yeah. Do not do any of it because only bad things will happen. I don't want to scare you.
Starting point is 00:13:49 But maybe that's… Your marriage is going to be over. your child. Do they have children? I don't know. I just made that up. Okay. Maybe that's a really good idea. Maybe we should sliding doors this for her. I feel like you're going to be really good at that. Actually kind of come up with the screenplay right now. So what happens in one door you go through, you start flirting more on social media and your sex dreams will get even worse. And then your sex dreams even more are going to turn into you guys sending racier texts and messages back to each other. And you're loving it. You're having a good time.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Oh, and then one day A, his girlfriend, looks up his Facebook and sees that you're being very shady. Then she tells her brother, your husband. And then now play that out. Now your husband comes home. What the fuck are you doing? And that's like Well, well within his rights. And then a is like, how could you do this to me? You fucking cunt. Like, like you're my brother's wife. This is my boyfriend who I want to marry. And you're trying to pick him up. Fucking serious. You God damn disloyal piece of shit. How could you do this? This is so hurtful. I am so hurt right now.
Starting point is 00:15:12 How, like, do you not even care about our family bonds? Do you not even care about, you know, the fact that our family considers you our family? Like, what? You're halfway across the world. You're in a different country and you're sabotaging. You're just dropping these fucking bombs, these ballistic missiles with heat seekers. Your heat-seeking fucking missile is coming to my man. This is an Oscar-worthy production and performance.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Good for you. Yes. Because that's what the reaction would be. And that's just from A. I can't even imagine what your husband's going to do when he finds out that you're creeping on him. You will get divorced. You will be alone. You will die alone.
Starting point is 00:15:54 No. And nothing good will ever happen in your life after this moment. Now, granted, if this actually were to happen, A wouldn't just be getting mad at you. of course she should direct and would direct most of her ire to her boyfriend, Z. So yeah, like she'd be doing the same yelling just times 100 to Z. Yeah, but we know how that always works, right? Somehow the person, your partner doesn't get the blame as much as the person who is also playing the game as well. For sure. And I think that's a separate discussion. We're not saying who should or shouldn't get the blame here, everybody listening, what we're saying is
Starting point is 00:16:33 this is what is going to happen according to every movie and book and reality trashy television show that we've ever watched. And the other thing is understanding that, yeah, you have a big crush right now and it's making your masturbation time way better. Great. Run with the masturbation. Keep it to masturbation. Do not fucking like take your masturbating fingers over to your keyboard.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Totally, totally. Yeah, like keep your fingers on your own pussy. Yeah, and keep that fantasy and bring it into the bedroom with your husband. Bring that kink that you're feeling that you're missing with your husband there. Do not play with that lack of kink with Z. Yeah. And also, like, one more thing. You know, you can only control you, but just a word about Z, like, piece of shit. Like, yeah. Yeah. Okay. I feel like you've summed that up.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Yeah. But, you know, just roll back the things I said in my acting class there. Yeah. When in doubt, replay that. Yeah. Don't be a hazard. But thanks for writing and letting us know. Sorry we shamed you. All right, next question.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Hi, Sasha and Lainey. I have a friend, let's call her A. I met A at the bar studio three years ago and we became friends and I've shared a lot with her and genuinely think she's a great person. The problem is she loves to talk about herself to the point where we have a dinner for hours and I don't share a single thing about my life. She will talk endlessly about where she gets her hair done, restaurants she's been to, et cetera.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Last summer I freaked out and told her I was not interviewing her for a magazine. We're supposed to be friends, both sharing. My freak out was part of… Sorry. You have to let me have that for a minute. It's a pretty good fucking comeback. Fuck. So last summer, I freaked out and told her I…
Starting point is 00:18:35 Oh, wait. No, I already said that. So we were supposed to be friends both sharing, but part of my freak out was partially because I've been away for several months seeking eating disorder treatment out of the province, and I thought she would want to hear about it. We had talked while I was away and she was supportive, but in person she was obsessively talking about how she was trying to get pregnant. I gave it a few months without talking much and we reconnected when her husband invited
Starting point is 00:18:57 me to her surprise baby shower. Fast forward onto now. She has a baby that is a few months old and all she does now is complain about how she's stuck at home and can't attend all the restaurant openings she wants, etc. She's become a total wannabe influencer, which I don't think is bad, but she wants to promote anything and everything and other people are noticing her posts seem to be sort of sad. My question is, is there any way to make her see she's self-absorbed and still be friends
Starting point is 00:19:20 with her or that she's fallen into wanting too much attention from Instagram and there's more life like this baby she wanted so desperately? I used to think I was maybe just jealous she had more confidence than me because I don't post a zillion pictures of myself and have body image issues. But I'm seeing now maybe she needs attention so badly because she's insecure too. What do I do with a sweet but fake friend? D. That's really good insight.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Yeah. Yeah. And I love, thank you, Dee, because you've given us lots of detail here. Yeah. And I, it's Dee? Dee. Dee, I really also like that immediately, like, your viewpoint on this is, hey, like, I'm an insecure person, so I can recognize it in somebody else. Like, a lot of people would just be like, this self-absorbed bitch, like, whatever. But this is, that's really good insight.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Yeah. That she has a little bit of empathy now. Um, I mean, what do you, I mean, the first thing that strikes me that I think we have to talk about is what do you do with a friend who just doesn't fucking shut up about themselves? I don't know, Sash. Tell me, because you have to talk to me all the time. I know, I was just going to say. Well, no, but there are people in… How do you deal with me, Sash? I just ignore you. Well, I think that that's what it is. Like, I had, and I think we've sort of touched upon this in seasons prior, is that I have always kind of had a problem talking about myself.
Starting point is 00:20:44 And I feel like I expected people to recognize that that was the problem and also somehow kowtow to that insecurity of mine. And I think that is not the way to go. I've realized that I think it's important that if you want to be heard, you have to say stuff. You have to contribute to the conversation. And I think it's easy to be like, oh, how are you? And you're like, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:21:10 you know, and then you end it there hoping that there's going to be follow-up questions. And I'm not here to blame Dee, but I think that sometimes, you know, Dee has said that she's insecure, she, you know, she's a bit shyer, that that's something you have to break out of in order to have a conversation, a free-flowing conversation. So if she says, how are you? And you know you're dealing with someone who's self-involved, you have to come up with the things that you want to bring to the table, right? So if there is something that's bothering you, if you do want to talk about something
Starting point is 00:21:40 that's happening in your life, you have to be open to talk about it. I don't want to, again, put all the onus on Dee, but that is just something, a takeaway that I've learned, that if you want people to be interested and ask you questions, you have to fucking give them something to work with. That's really good insight from you, Sash. Okay, great. But then what do you do with someone who still doesn't care and still, you know, talks over you and wants to just continue to talk about themselves?
Starting point is 00:22:04 If D is with this person and she's like, hey, I really need to speak to you about something important or I'd really like to share with you what's going on with me at work or whatever, and the woman is just like, oh, I'm so tired of my baby and I really want to go to that restaurant opening, like, that's the immediate response, then for sure, like, you check it right away. You say, like, hey, I just told you, like… Something really important. Right.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Right. The thing is, is though, she's told us that… she's told us she kind of already did that by saying, hey, this is not a Vanity Fair profile of you. Totally, yeah. Yeah. And they already went through it once. So my question is, like, does Dee attempt it again? Be like, I am not… like, I don't have a microphone in my hand right now. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I think she's already done that and that didn't really fly. So I'm wondering if you actually get really real and say, hey, you know, something's been on my mind. I, you know, even a
Starting point is 00:23:08 few months ago when I came back from recovery, you really didn't ask me very much. And I just really feel like I know that you love me, but I feel like I need you to listen to me more and probe a little bit more with me because you know that I'm like this or like that. I feel like that But that's an important thing to flag to your friend, especially that you were going through a hard time. And we've talked about this too in the past, that when you're going through a hard time, it's sort of fucking annoying to have to bring up to the person to be like, can you pay it… can you love me enough to pay attention to me?
Starting point is 00:23:38 So it is kind of… it's a hard… it's a hard little… it's a hard balance to figure out how to bring that up to somebody. But I do think that you should call your friend… call your friends on things when they have blind spots. Yeah. I mean, it's the direct approach. Yeah. It's the…
Starting point is 00:23:55 But also… But I really love the fact, Dee, that you made that observation about this person being insecure. And your conversation with her doesn't have to be only, hey, can you pay attention to me? It can also be, what's going on with you? Like, even though she already talks about herself so much, like, I mean 10 layers down. Yeah, I know that you're upset about not going to this restaurant opening, but what
Starting point is 00:24:25 is at the root of this? Like, is it identity? Are you struggling with who you are right now? Like, let's talk about that. Is Instagram making you miserable? Like, let's get to what's real with each other. And I think that that's an empathetic and compassionate way to deal with things too, where she's also like, here's what I've noticed about you as your friend.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Here's how observant I've been. this is me being a good friend, trying to understand things from your point of view. Can you reciprocate? Right. Because I also think that like part of this is modeling what good friendship is. And modeling what good friendship is, is like listening, but also like pushing them a little. Right. I was going to suggest to avoid the whole Instagram thing, which is funny coming from
Starting point is 00:25:10 me. But I feel like the most important thing here though to tackle is that Dee doesn't feel like she's being seen by her friend. So, like, the Instagram thing, it just seems like an extension of her friend being a narcissist. But I think it's a symptom. Yeah, no, you're right. If Dee is seeing maybe underneath there are some serious insecurity and self-worth issues, then it becomes then about helping each other.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Yeah. And that's real friendship. Yeah, it's true. And then I think that can all be tackled in that one kind of emotional tug of war sit down. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Like, let's sit down.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Let's, like, hash it out. This is how I'm feeling. How are you feeling? Yeah. And then have this kind of, like, empathy hug fest. Yeah. Yeah. So, like, to go back to that analogy because it was so amazing, like, you're both guests
Starting point is 00:25:57 on Oprah's couch. One of you isn't Oprah. Oh. We could be Oprah, though. We are Oprah. What are you talking about? No, stop. Take those words out of your mouth.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Okay. Keep us posted, though. Let us know how that chat goes with your friend, and I hope she's nicer to you. Otherwise, you're just in the same boat as me and you just have a friend like Lainey. All right. Last question. Sasha and Lainey. I'm going away this summer with my boyfriend's family.
Starting point is 00:26:23 This will be the first time I'm meeting his father, his mother, and his two sisters, and I'm freaking out. We're headed to Costa Rica, which I'm so excited for, but this means I will have to be in a bathing suit. And I only have bikinis and I have no clue if that's appropriate. How much skin is too much skin? The other thing is, his parents got us separate rooms. How the fuck can that happen?
Starting point is 00:26:40 I'm 28. He's 33. Does he not… do they not think that that… do they not think we slept together in the same bed before? Does that mean I'm not allowed to show him affection? What are the boundaries? I'm a very affectionate person, so am I supposed to just curb that behavior while I'm there? I really don't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Any help would be appreciated. Love you guys. Sarah. All right. Well, I mean, the separate rooms thing is… The donk. I guess. But, I mean, that's not your problem.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Like, that's you having to talk to your boyfriend. being like, uh, what is the deal with your parents? What do they think? Like, is this like, but that's not changing. No, it's not changing, but like he, it's his job to download to Sarah what the family vibe is. Right. Well, from the fact that they have two separate rooms, I'm feeling like you're going to have to be covered up from head to toe. Like they're obviously quite, And it sounds like they're quite a buttoned up family. Yeah. So I don't know if your string bikini is the most appropriate thing to be fucking rocking.
Starting point is 00:27:42 You invest in a one piece. Yes. Yeah. And you know what? Like there are… I right now think that one pieces are way cuter than two pieces. I'm willing to fight over this, go to war, my artillery is ready, bring it. I'm sure, Sash, you know this.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Like, Duanna was the first to get this swimsuit, but I had been eyeing it, and then she bought it first, and then I was… I'm, like, all over this site. It's the Solids and Stripes. Oh, no. Have you heard of this company? The brand is called Solid and Stripes? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Okay. And they're… All of their… All of their swimsuits are super cute, but I especially love their striped one-pieces. Ooh, okay. They're so cute. The color combinations are amazing. Like, you can get different combinations of stripes.
Starting point is 00:28:31 And if it were me and I saw someone wearing a one-piece solid and stripes swimsuit versus someone wearing, like, a random generic string bikini, I would be like, the person in the one-piece is more stylish. So, if that helps you. I agree. This is my place now to plug my favorite brand. Okay. Because I just had to look it up on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Great. And they're from Vancouver. They are called… And I've actually written about them before. They're called Left on Friday. And their stuff is fucking dope. Super simple. They have great full pieces that show like a tiny bit of skin, like a little peekaboo
Starting point is 00:29:06 in like the, I don't know, like your upper rib cage. I'm not making this sound sexy, but go check them out because they have, the fabric is so soft. It doesn't fucking snag. So you can like be sitting on a dock or wherever or like a piece of shit rock and nothing gets snagged. So you have this piece for a lifetime, like super cute color blocks. And then if you do, if you are like, no, don't fuck with me.
Starting point is 00:29:29 I want a bikini. They have really amazing high-waisted bottoms. Yeah. Like, look at this shit, Lainey, when you have a second. Because this shit is awesome and it's Canadian made and it's awesome and I love the girls who run it. And it's just beautiful. It's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:29:44 It's beautiful. So yours is called Solid and Stripes. Mine's called Left on Friday. I feel like we're giving you some options here. Yeah. So there. Invest in… Go check out these websites.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Go look at Solid and Stripes. Go look at Left on Friday. Yeah. There are options out there where you don't have to do the string bikini, tits are pouring out, very, like, inappropriate situation, but you can still feel good and, remember, very stylish. Yeah. And invest in a cover-up, too.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Like, linen cover-ups are a big deal right now so that when you get up and, like, have to go get something to eat, you can just slip that over so your butt's covered and everything's good. But as for the affection thing, maybe it's because I'm not a terribly affectionate person. No, I'm not an affectionate person at all. Period. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Yeah. I love that you could correct yourself on that. God bless you. Okay. Yeah. But like, what are we talking about here? Like, do you have to, are you that person that, I hear you, like you're an affectionate person.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Great. Like, it's so nice in your regular day-to-day life. But are you saying you can't, like, I don't know, not fucking hold his hand for a week? Like, you'll survive. I know. I feel like she's coming to the wrong people because I would pretend that my boyfriend was my sibling. If that had to happen for that week, I would be like, we don't have private parts.
Starting point is 00:31:02 I've never touched you before. Like, handshakes. Nice to meet you. I would keep it so fucking conservative because out of respect, I just, out of respect for whatever their weirdo family rules are, I just couldn't, I couldn't go there. I would feel uncomfortable showing any affection. You're going to be okay. Like, yeah, one week you're going to survive without.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Or two weeks. Like, you're going to be okay. And then you'll find an opportunity to sneak away where you can fucking ride that shit for like the 20 minutes and get it on. And it's going to even be hotter. Secret sex is the best sex. It's going to be even hotter where you get to, you're like, I'm just going to the store. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:40 I'll come with you. Totally. Great. And then you're gone for 20 minutes. Get your fucking bang on. and then come back and pretend that like, you know, you don't, you're strangers. Exactly. You can, you can do this.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Like, we believe in you. Yeah. Have you ever gone on vacation with Yazik's family? Yeah. But his family, like, they're easy. Like, his dad tells inappropriate sex jokes all the time. Like, oh my God, that's where Yazik gets it from. Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Okay. Yeah. That makes sense then. His dad will be like, and it's like, it's bad dad jokes. Like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Okay, right. Like, you know, it's, yeah. So, plus his dad walks around in a fucking Speedo.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Like, they're Euros. He does? Correct. Oh, okay. Sorry. So, I don't have these… Issues. I've never had this issue.
Starting point is 00:32:23 That said, I'm just not an affectionate person. Yeah. So, but what's her name? Sarah? Yeah. Sarah. Like, you're… You'll be okay.
Starting point is 00:32:31 You'll be okay. And the added thing, the added reason is, like, I think I'm getting the point where if the parents book separate rooms, they're paying for this. Costa Rica? Yeah. Yeah. Like, no complaints here. You wear a full piece.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Yes. You don't touch anybody for a week, but you're in sunshine and eating free food and sleeping on free stuff. You can lick his ear during dinner when you get home. Yeah, totally. Totally. Sorry, but yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Sorry that we had to get real with you. Have a great time in Costa Rica, though. Yeah, eye roll.
