Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, good Monday morning and welcome back to when reality hits with Jackson, Brittany. We have two special guests today. Well, Laurie's been on for the last what two weeks now. So she's not really as new special guest anymore, but Ryan is and they are not only my good friends, but they are my manager and my publicist, welcome, Ryan and Lori. Hello, happy to be back. And we're at my house today. Hey, Jack, how you doing?
Starting point is 00:00:31 Good, how are you? Welcome, is this your first podcast ever? Yes, it is. Welcome, welcome. Are you nervous? No. Don't be nervous, it'll be fun. It'll be fun. Yeah, Brittany is taking the day off today.
Starting point is 00:00:41 She's got some stuff to do, so let's get into a little bit about who Ryan is. We know who Lourious, because well, she's been on the last two podcasts and we talk about it all the time. Ryan Revel. Revel. Can I say a rebel?
Starting point is 00:00:54 Yeah, you don't even know how to write a rebel. I always say 10 years. Oh, 11 years. 11 years. Annie was in my wedding. I'm still calling him Rebel. OK, Rebel. Tell me a little bit about who you are.
Starting point is 00:01:03 And what's going on in your life? I am a talent manager. Why the voice? I'm a talent manager. It's my radio voice. I'm a talent manager of Injects manager since day one of Vanderpump actually before Vanderpump. How do we meet? We met probably circa 2010. Yeah, when the show was just still kind of. No, it was before the show. Oh, was it two years before the show? Oh, because of your wife. I used to work for Ryan's wife.
Starting point is 00:01:35 She is a, what do you, what do you, I don't wanna say party planner, catering. She owns a staffing company. Staffing company. And staff's private events and LA and other cities. So, you know, when, when you know models or actors move to LA and they need a job you know to support their art or craft or whatever they're doing and they don't want to work at a restaurant they don't want a nine to five so it was just too hard to have
Starting point is 00:02:00 a nine to five if you're an actor or model this time because you have auditions during the day. What's great about Moni's business is majority of her clients and her business is at night, which is nice. And they're usually house parties. That's what I used to do. I was there since day one of Monie's business. And now her business is, I hate the word I'm going to use, thriving. It's doing very, very well.
Starting point is 00:02:16 I mean, she's at all the studios now. She's a big, big deal. But I was there. I was one of the first two employees, actually. She's one of the first two. 2004, so it's almost 20 years. Why don't we plug Moni's business? It's called 200 proof. Yeah we use them even for all of our parties but yes there you go ahead I'm sorry I cut you off. It's 200 proof is the business. She has hundreds of
Starting point is 00:02:38 of employees and she does tons of events all over town, all in other cities. She hires bartenders, servers, back of the house, bussers, brand ambassadors, the whole thing. So, Jack's worked for her and as well as most of the Vanderpump rules cast, previous to working for Sir. So she was kind of like the original lease of Andrupum. And then they all moved on and moved on to Sir. And I met Jacks and the rest of the crew. When I was dating her in probably around 2010, I met, we went to Coachella. Mooney had a bunch of events to go out there.
Starting point is 00:03:21 I was probably dating her for a few months at that point. And she said, we have a couple of my staff staying at the house. I said, oh, cool, who's staying there? A bunch of girls, right? And he said, they said, one guy is coming. I said, okay. So it ended up being Dodie, Stasi, and Santa-Ball. So they worked for her, all these events
Starting point is 00:03:43 throughout the Coachella weekend. This is back in 2010, a long time ago. And that's how I met them. And then Stasi and Jacks were dating back then. So that's when I met him and Schwartz and Katie and the whole crew. And then when the show came about in 2012, I had actually ran into Dodie at Coachella two years later.
Starting point is 00:04:03 And I said, hey, congrats on your show. She said, well, how do you know about it? We haven't even started shooting. It just got announced. I said, well, I heard about it. And I figured at that point, being a manager, that was kind of the end of the road for Jersey Shore. That was the end of the road for the hills.
Starting point is 00:04:20 And I knew that all you guys were friends and had an organic relationships and the show just got picked up and I said, I need to be involved in this because I just knew that was a recipe for success and knowing all your guys' personalities from meeting you over those couple of years, I brought, remember, back in my office at Culver City,
Starting point is 00:04:41 I brought all you guys into the office. Jack said literally just got out of bed. He was like an espagamas and a slippers. Nothing's changed. I'm still in my pajamas and slippers. And we all discussed about, you know, kind of myself and now their lawyer shout out to Joe. So we brought pretty much the whole cast in at that point and said, kind of gave him a little, you know little download of what to expect. We helped him do their first season deals and what to expect. And then they started shooting probably a month later in April 2012.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Season one aired January 2013. And the rest is history, right? Here we are 11 plus years later. So I like Lori. Lori does all pretty much all unscripted. Ryan does scripted as well. So what do you like better? Do you like scripted better?
Starting point is 00:05:27 And you're like unscripted? Obviously right now, obviously we're going through a huge strike right now. So, then we're going to get into that in a second. But do you like doing scripted better? Or do you like doing unscripted? Is there a difference? Or at the end of the day, is it just a paycheck like everything else? Big difference.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Half of my business is probably reality, and on script, and half I represent actors and actresses. So it's been a tough couple months. Obviously, actors and actresses haven't been working because of writer strikes been going on for almost three months now. Writer now, writer and actor now, right? Now writer strike has been going on since about May 1st.
Starting point is 00:05:58 SAG, after strike, just started last week. So it's really gonna be a tough time. We're gonna get into that in a second. This is a very huge ordeal, obviously living in Hollywood. This affects pretty much everything. So we'll get into that in a second, but go ahead and continue. So do I like working in unscripted or scripted? I mean, I really like them both, but I think I have been a manager for quite a while now.
Starting point is 00:06:22 I've been a management for, I don't want to age myself, but over 27 years. And I've, from the outset, worked with just primarily actors and actresses. In about 2006, I started working with a friend of mine who was a celebrity chef, and she had just got offered a food network show. So I helped her with that and helped with endorsements and a book deal and I thought, well, this is really entrepreneurial and more creative because I have more of a creative hand in their career with actors and actresses, which I love developing talent
Starting point is 00:07:02 and have worked with many actors over the years, but it's more of a, you know, you cry to create opportunities, get the moditions, and meetings, and advice and counsel to help grow their career. But, you know, they go into an audition, they do their thing, and then hopefully they get a callback and, or get, you know, the job, which more likely than not, they don't get the job. There's so many notes. So the injection city out here. Right, as you know, because you did it for a while
Starting point is 00:07:31 with modeling and acting. But it's just really tough because it's so competitive, a lot less than now. So when working with the chef, and then I had a, which I still do have a, I had a survival which I still do have a, I had a survival expert that I work with and kind of crossing over models to acting and then in 2012 I just got into reality which is a lot different than as it is now. I
Starting point is 00:07:58 mean in 2012 when the van of a rule started there was rules started, there was no Instagram, there was no social media, there was no Twitter, there was no TikTok obviously. So it was really tough to kind of create alternative revenue streams and opportunities outside of the show. I mean, pretty much back then it was like, I remember Jack's, we did like a fake set up photo shoot, it made shoot made like 500 bucks you know that they could sell to the tabloids in like Australia or or the UK. Yeah it was just a very makeshift deal maybe like
Starting point is 00:08:34 Jack's we're going to the beach today grab some clothes we're gonna go do something to sell to tabloids we're gonna go do this we need some pictures of you to for night clubs or it was such a whole day. World back then before social media obviously social media has its pros and cons. But yeah, it's obviously we've come a long way. I don't mean to cut you off a little bit, but obviously the strike is, I keep talking about this, this is a very big deal right now. And for those of you listening that don't really know what's going on,
Starting point is 00:08:55 you just hear the word strike, you don't really know what's going on. What is this actually mean? What is going on right now with the strike for actors and writers? Do you think it's going to come to an end soon? For the viewers that don't actually know what's going on right now with the strike for actors and writers, do you think it's going to come to an end soon? For the viewers that don't actually know what's going on, can you explain a little bit of what that means, the strike? I mean I want to get too deep in the weeds. No, but I mean can you give me like a the cliff note versions? For the people that live in middle America who were like, why are they striking? What's going on? So the writers skilled and now sag
Starting point is 00:09:21 after their on strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television producers, this basically represents all the studios and the streamers. So, but for in English terms, for the guy out there just wants to know what's going on, these streaming services are getting greedy. They want all the money, they don't want to share, they don't want to give residuals, which residuals are, you know, when show gets played back and back and back over the years, not getting any bit of that. In reality, we don't get any of that at all.
Starting point is 00:09:43 So, that's basically what is going on right. And more or less. Yeah, letters in the actors basically want a bigger piece of the pie. Because if you do a show and it's on Netflix, there's no back end. Oh, you know, the top echelon of actors, you know, are making most of the money.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Right. But kind of the middle level to lower level want, you know, more of a piece of the pie. So they want to be paid fairly. The writers want to be paid fairly. There's obviously an AI issue that has to be resolved. And they want basically to catch up with the times. Because when streaming started, there was no,
Starting point is 00:10:15 when streaming started, there was kind of like the Wild West. It was a free-for-all. We didn't know that it was going to take over broadcast and cable as a very popular platform to watch shows. And now that it's, you know, shown to be like the primary focus of producing content, they just want what's fair. Right. And I agree.
Starting point is 00:10:34 I got friends that are actors that, you know, they should get paid for what they do. I think reality to get paid for. I don't think we're there yet for residuals for reality. But for my actor friends and for the TV shows, they need to figure this out because sooner or later, this is going to last. Well, from what I'm hearing, I don't think we're there yet for residuals, for reality. But for my actor friends and for the TV shows, they need to figure this out because sooner or later, this is going to last. Well, from what I'm hearing, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:49 This is just what I hear. It's going to last a long time and guess what's going to happen. We're going to run out of content. And that's, by reality, is going to be very huge right now because now everybody's pushing towards reality. What kind of shows can we get out of it? Well, all the false shows on the broadcast networks, ABC, CVS, Fox, and NBC, all their false shows are basically predominantly unscripted because there's no shows that obviously can go to
Starting point is 00:11:09 production since the writer's strike has been in effect since May. The actress strike just started last week. Could it be a long road ahead to before it's resolved? I believe so, but it's kind of a sit and wait and let these people figure out and come to a place where they can agree. And then this business can get back. But I mean, okay, listen, the Brad Pitt's, they are gonna be fine.
Starting point is 00:11:33 The Tom Hanks is, they are gonna be fine. What do you do for the guy who's the new actor, who's got a mortgage, who's got a family to feed? I know we're on strike, I get it, but they say this isn't gonna last. Do you think they're gonna cross and go to reality? Do you think they're going to cross and go to reality? Do you think there's going to be actors going into reality? Because listen, we got to pay the bills at the end of the day.
Starting point is 00:11:51 There is more working actors that need to pay the bills, and there is the a-listers. Well, I don't know if that's going to be the case. So what are they going to do? How are they going to work? They're just going to have to wait it out. But you know what? Banks don't care about strikes. Credit cards don't But you know what? Banks don't care about strikes.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Credit cards don't care about strikes. Car payments don't care about strikes. Yeah, I know. So what do you do? You have to go back and do like a COVID scenario for these guys. I mean, pretty much when COVID happened, there was no content and nothing was made for pretty much all of 2020.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Now it's at the point where those other people who are struggling are going to continue to struggle and it's going to get really critical for all these people Right, I mean, I'm coming crazy. I'm one of those dads that needs to feed his kids, right? So You know, I just want to know where we're gonna go. I mean, it's okay now But in a couple months, you're gonna see those steam people hurting. They're gonna be hurting. I agree and we're gonna have to figure something out. I think People are got I mean, I don't know. I mean I have to guess that people are going to not cross, but going to have to maybe claim financial core, which is a thing you can do.
Starting point is 00:12:48 You can call your sag and say, listen, I need to work. This is what I need to do. This is a little bit more in depth. But I have a feeling that we're going to see more actors maybe crossing and going to the reality side of me. I don't think that's my guess. I don't think they'll do. I think what they're going to have to do is get some side hustles and some jobs until this is resolved. But you know how people have egos in this town, right?
Starting point is 00:13:09 Nobody wants to have, once they make it in the acting world, now they have to go back to waiting tables again. I mean, maybe for the short term. Actually, Lori has been here now for a month, right? In LA, yes. Yeah. And now, so what have you been up to? What is it? Well, first of all, let's hear from Montreal. You come to LA, what? Once a year for the
Starting point is 00:16:20 summer for a month. Well, I'm here every month during the year. You know that. I come out to LA for work for a couple of days. Yeah, this is your year for a month. Well, I'm here every month during the year. You know that. I come out LA for work all the time. Yeah, this is your year for a month. You bring the whole family, you rent a house, you do the kids to summer camp. This is kind of a yearly thing that you do. Yes. So we are in week number what, two of your months day?
Starting point is 00:16:37 Yeah. Week number two. So what do you've been up to? What do you've been doing? I've been busy with, I actually had my mom in town for a week and I've been busy getting the kids just acclimated to day camp and everything. They go to a beach camp in Santa Monica. So, coming from Canada, they're so excited to go to camp there and I've been having different
Starting point is 00:16:58 clients coming out and staying with me pretty much every day. Today my... Your clients says the people that you represent? staying with me. Pretty much every day. Today, my clients says the people that you represent. Some people that I represent some that we're friendly with. Yeah. So well, Jack's just refuses to leave the valley. And if he does leave the valley, it's to, you know, Santa Monica Boulevard to go for dinner and drink. That's it. That's as far as I go. And then even me going to Santa Monica Boulevard is a stretch. You know
Starting point is 00:17:21 how it is like driving to Santa Monica from if you live here, you know, like driving to the beach is like a day. It's, I live 24 minutes from you. I got a baby. I got a pack of car. I got an unpacked car. I got to get gas. Right, Ryan, how many times a week do we hear Jack say,
Starting point is 00:17:36 I'm a dad. I have a mortgage. I have kids. 24 minutes, no traffic. With traffic. Well, with traffic. It could be yes Okay, but we got to make sure we get up early because he's got to hit his nap We got to pack snacks. We got to make sure that you know, but it's okay
Starting point is 00:17:52 I I prefer to come out here anyway. I mean your house is amazing. You know you first of all you have twin boys It wasn't that long ago that your boys were cruises age, okay? Right? I don't know what you were doing at that time. Were you still in this business? I was still in this business Yeah, it's very Were you still in this business? I was still in this business, yeah. It was just very new, a lot newer in this business anywhere. So I actually, my boys are going to be 10 in December. And I started, I went off on my own while I was pregnant with them because I wasn't able to travel anymore. I was having a high-risk pregnancy and I had to stop working.
Starting point is 00:18:22 I was the head of PR for Beyond the Rack at the time. It was one of the largest online shopping retailers along with GILC Group. I don't know if you remember that, but I had to stop working. I wasn't able to travel anymore due to my high risk pregnancy. And so I went off on my own.
Starting point is 00:18:37 And it's really during that time actually where I met Ryan. Because, yes, because when, Ryan and I are like battling right now, she's sharing them. They are the team. Well, actually, we're missing one like rattling right now, they are the team. Well, actually, we're missing one. There are two of three of the team. We're missing Joe, but they are the shout out to Joe, our amazing lawyer.
Starting point is 00:18:54 But these three here, the ones that have to bang their heads together more times and not. And they probably have a little bit more gray in their hair than they should because of people like me that they represent. But no, they're the amazing trio that kind of make everything happen for everybody. Well, not everybody. There's some people on our show that they represent and then everybody in the bachelor world and in the acting world.
Starting point is 00:19:14 But it's a very stressful job what they have. Ryan likes to remind me how many emails he does a day for me all the time. I was like, Ryan, what are you doing? Ryan, what are you doing? I just expect the job to happen and then the check to appear in the mailbox in the next day. That's from the talent side of it. But if you go on the other side of it, such as the publicist and the manager, they are literally on their computer. I mean, Brian's been here for about 20 minutes and he's been on a computer just non-stop doing this. So I'm kind of actually seeing at first hand of actually what he does.
Starting point is 00:19:38 And there is a lot of back and forth and kind of just, I want say yeah right just a lot of emails back and forth it's a really tough business that you're in because I always think you only work for me but in hindsight you have 20 other clients that I forget that you're dealing with too and then so I hear a lot more Ryan's a lot more behind the scenes so a lot of times you'll say to me well what what is Ryan think what you know was he part of this but I always I'm like, Ryan is so much more behind the scenes. Me and you, I'm up front and center with you. We speak on the phone all the time, right?
Starting point is 00:20:11 I'm like, you have no idea. He really, on the back end, negotiated all these terms, got it, put through legal. So he does a lot more on the back end, right? Yeah. And Lori and I worked together hand in hand. We kind of create, like I just mentioned, the alternative revenue streams for Jackson and Brittany. And let's talk about how we met actually, because it's a funny story.
Starting point is 00:20:33 So when I did go off on my own, I was actually representing companies and brands before I was working with talent. And I was working with a large company based out in New York and they had actually said to me, I don't even know if you know the story, Jax. But they had said to me, we actually want Jax Taylor to work with our company.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Could you reach out to his team? And so at that time, I mean, I think I looked up who was representing you at the time and I had reached out to Ryan and Ryan and I scheduled a call. We had this meeting, we hit it off together, we just, we ended up knowing a lot of people, we both have kids the same age,
Starting point is 00:21:14 and we really just hit it off, and then he had said to me, you know, Jacks, I'm actually looking for a publicist for Jacks, would you be open to having a conversation with him? And so we set up that meeting, and right off the bat, Jacks, would you be open to having a conversation with him? And so we set up that meeting and right off the bat, Jack, do you remember this? You said there's absolutely no way I could have a publicist that lives in Canada. What do you think it is? That's 100% true.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Again, I thought I needed to have somebody here. You know, I'm, again, I'm not very tech savvy. I don't, I know that everybody works from home now, but I thought in the business, again, I'm kind of a dinosaur that somebody needs to be here with me holding my hand every week, walk the way, every walk of the way that's an ism, every step of the way. I thought somebody needs to be here all the time. I know nowadays you can pretty much live anywhere and do anything. It doesn't really, you don't need to be there. So yeah, I thought for what I do that I needed you to hold my hand every step of the way. I still need my handheld. You just do
Starting point is 00:22:03 it from afar. Yeah, but even the even Bravo PR there, headquarters there based in New York, right? So we work with them a lot through the East Coast. Also, when I started with you, it was 10 years ago. It was almost a decade. No, I think it was like seven or eight years ago. OK, so we're coming up on almost a decade.
Starting point is 00:22:21 So technology and the way things we do things have changed, obviously with COVID and everything. Things are now more via satellite, via Zoom, whatever. But in the beginning, I needed somebody that was basically my next store neighbor. Like you need to live next store. And you can only work with me. And I think I said to you, I'm like Jackson,
Starting point is 00:22:37 you could hire an assistant, but as a publicist, it's okay that I, you know, I come out to the important things when I have to. We go to New York together often, we go to Vegas when there's events there. So. Yeah, you're, I come out to the important things when I have to, we go to New York together often, we go to Vegas when there's events there. So. Yeah, you're really, really good about it. You definitely plan your trips accordingly.
Starting point is 00:22:51 You know, if you got stuff going on, you definitely lump them in together that way. It's more bang for your buck. So when you come out here and say, listen, well, at least I'm seeing three or four different my clients, I'm working with three or four different people. I'm not just coming out here one client at a time. So you're really good about scheduling things like that.
Starting point is 00:23:04 So I appreciate that. And to never, ever been a problem. Like never once has it been a problem that my publicist lives in Montreal. It's like you live here. I mean, really, to be honest. Glad to hear that. And you know, like I always say, and people, I'm so happy that they're going to get to know Ryan on this podcast because people don't hear about Ryan, but he's such a huge part of, you part of our team.
Starting point is 00:23:30 And I mean, and I hate to say that he's also been involved in obviously the scandal of all things right now. So he's obviously been a very, very stressed out person from the situation. I'm not going to dive too much into his life because I want to talk about other people with my manager here, but he's just been very stressed out. Obviously it's been a very whirlwind topic. And I guess you're kind of at the base of it because you're his manager Tom and I, Tom Schwartz and Sandevol and I all share the same manager but yeah I mean it wasn't just stressful for Tom and everybody else you got to remember how stressful it is for his team so how is that and are you kind of
Starting point is 00:24:04 coming out of it now? And are you less stressed? Did it take a toll on your like livelihood at home? Was Moni getting like listen, you need to step away? Is that really your kind of M.A. you work a lot from home? So we didn't really see that of you. But yeah, I mean, I try to stay behind the scenes
Starting point is 00:24:19 for a good reason. Right. I'm not, I don't do my job to kind to be out in the public. I like to be behind the scenes, giving advice and counsel in my expertise. Like one on one has been stressful? Absolutely. I mean, it's been stressful for everyone involved on the ground level. I can't really imagine the emails.
Starting point is 00:24:39 So, yeah. I mean, it's been a whirlwind four months. I mean, it's been nuts. I don't want to get too deep in the weeds on that. But has it been stressful? Yeah. I've had like clips of for four months. I mean, it's been nuts. I don't want to get too deep in the weeds on that, but has it been stressful? Yeah, like I've had like clips of hair falling out. But my... Seriously, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:50 He's been impossible to reach, but one thing I will say about Ryan is, and you could probably notice this from people listening to him on the podcast, he's really calm. He is a very calm demeanor. So I think in general, his clients take really well to him because he's not like me, right, Jacks? Like if I'm not happy with something that you do,
Starting point is 00:25:11 you'll hear it from me and I think that's why Brian and I, we balance each other really well because I'm a lot more vocal, whereas your cool, calm and collected. And you have to kind of like, you know, you have to deal with the ups and downs and always be in the middle level because there are so many emotions happening when things get that heightened. The highs
Starting point is 00:25:33 are high and the lows are low, but you just have to be that kind of calm presence in your clients' lives. You can really give an honest take and not get, you know, I'll hopped up or not get too down on something bad happens. You have to have that like, okay, it's going to be okay. It may take a little time, but things are going to get better. You asked how it is at home with Moni. She understands. I mean, she gets it. I mean, do you punch out and punch in like when you're at work,
Starting point is 00:26:01 are you always, are you always on or is there a time where you like closing the laptop? No. The only time I'm probably not engaged in some sort of email text message or phone call is when I'm sleeping, unfortunately, but I kind of like that. It's like you feel like needed and wanted. In some capacity, again, it's a little overwhelming
Starting point is 00:26:20 because you and other people in the reality typically don't have any boundaries and say, oh, it's not a clock. I wonder if he's dealing with family stuff or out at dinner or not looking at his computer or phone. I mean, that just doesn't happen. So things happen, especially when it gets crazy busy. There's a sense of urgency, you know, it's hard to kind of train and set boundaries when you know
Starting point is 00:26:49 People like you just don't have them, which is fine and you know like for instance of Jack's text me or calls me and I always say good morning First or happy Sunday. Are you enjoying your vacation? I always make sure I get that's true But you do take the vacations you do but you work I have you ever taken a vacation and not worked Because I think I've seen you every time you take every time you take a picture every time he grind goes on vacation I would say you go on vacation, but maybe two or three times a year to a nice destination But you're always on your laptop whether it's right cruise whether it's the lake whether it's wherever you go You're always I'm at work because we have a group chat and you're always like out on my vacation
Starting point is 00:27:23 It's you and your laptop. So I don't think you've ever taken a vacation where you know, bringing your laptop. I sometimes, you know, especially when you have a family and, and you're working, it's not a vacation. It's a trip. Exactly. You try to integrate it into a little bit of vacation time. But, you know, you have to just kind of be on it and you can't just unplug.
Starting point is 00:27:42 It's just impossible. Right, Laurie? I'm just laughing thinking of the time when Jackson's blowing this up on Christmas Eve. That was one of my next questions. I was gonna get a nice, a very funny, a Jack's moment or a client moment. Obviously you don't have to give names or something that just really stood out that you were just kind of like what baffles you. But obviously there's many Jack's moments. I don't care. You know me. I'm an open book open book so go ahead what were you gonna talk about Christmas Eve? I we're not gonna discuss Christmas Eve. Whether you're trying to drink more water or

You know, it's funny to think you asked us, you know, are there any boundaries? Yeah. We're unable to have boundaries because our clients have no boundaries.
Starting point is 00:30:53 So if you think about the times that you message us, you know, because you're not only, you're not only a publicist of managing your therapist. That's what it is. We're everything. And we love it. So I think, I, I, Ryan definitely has stories about you think about I mean Ryan went through
Starting point is 00:31:10 Everything with you the sunglasses or deal. Yeah, I mean get you a lawyer to kind of make that go away Yeah, there's so many instances where you know myself and his team have you know, myself and his team have been having to kind of save the day or get him out of a bad situation or walk him through a good situation and keep, keep, keep Jack's level. I didn't. Well, I mean, I mean, times if I wanted to walk off a cliff, just hitting you up to talk, I'm sorry, that's another, talk me off of an ad. Is that what you have to talk me off a cliff? Talk me off a cliff.
Starting point is 00:31:40 I, again, that's another Jack's, is I'm that I just put you in. No, that makes you seem like suicide. No, not suicidal, but where I want to go. What the hell is going on? No, I think the biggest thing that Ryan and I deal with when it comes to you is that you're extremely impulsive. Yes. And you say, you need to say what's on your mind at all times, especially on Twitter. Shoot first, ask later.
Starting point is 00:32:01 And that's when Ryan and I just jack stop, stop, stop. The situation has nothing to do with you. Don't give your two cents. But then again, this is who Jack's Taylor is. This is why he makes amazing television. This is why you hate to love him. And love to hate him. I love to hate him.
Starting point is 00:32:21 There's so many stories that, I mean, this could be days long, but there's so many stories that we could touch on. Nothing that stands out like, nothing that stands out like the top of your head with me, or I'll give you a minute. We'll go on a different topic and then you can come back to this one. So, live in this up a little bit, we just got back from Vegas. Ryan and I were in Las Vegas for my birthday. I wasn't there for my birthday.
Starting point is 00:32:50 I was actually there for a job with a partnership that I'm starting, but it just so happened that this job fell on my birthday. And we had an amazing time. Myself, Ryan, Joe, and our new partner, Simon, from the company Zion that I'm starting with and it was absolutely we had a blast. And also Mikey, sorry I forgot my buddy Mikey was with us too, so we were there for the hair and skin convention.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Do you say? Yeah. It's like a beauty convention. The beauty convention. I am partnering with a new company called Zion. It is a, what's the best way to say this? Because I'm like, I can't come into my, this, okay, here's the story. So the back of my hair is starting to thin out a little bit. I'm going to tell you guys a little story here. Here's what happened. Here's why I'm doing all this. So we had a photo shoot before we started the podcast. Brittany and I wanted to do a photo shoot for our podcast. So we all got dressed up. I was wearing a suit. Actually, we're in a tuxedo bring you have a dress on a cruise Had a little tuxedo on I combed my hair a certain way and our friend
Starting point is 00:33:49 Was doing our our pictures anyway. I want to see the pictures on the camera She zoomed in on one picture and I was like what is that what the f is that and it was a quarter size bald spot in the back of my head now Obviously, I'm that's gonna obviously, it's gonna hit me. It's gonna make me a little bit insecure, right? So, the photo shoot was at like six or seven o'clock. I was literally meeting my boys for dinner at like eight or eight thirty, and I'm like, I'm not going out. I have a ball spot in the back of my head.
Starting point is 00:34:14 I can't wear a hat. I'm insecure as hell now. What am I gonna do? But he's like, just go upstairs, put some makeup on the back of your head. I have some eyeliner or whatever. I'm like, I'm not putting makeup on my freaking head. And then I had an idea. So I go out to my garage and I put a candle,
Starting point is 00:34:28 I saw it talking really fast. There's a candle, black spray paint in my garage. So I spray painted the back of my head with black spray paint. Rustolium black matte spray paint. And I said, you know what, this will work. And Brittany just looked at me and stared and been like, okay, and then I left, came home.
Starting point is 00:34:47 And she's like, you know, that was funny and all, but you're never gonna do that again. Why don't you talk to somebody about this, get ahead of the game, it's not that bad, you're not bald, you're starting to lose a little bit, but you're 44 years old, these kind of things are gonna happen. I said, you know what, you're right.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Called my good friend, Mike Yepp, who's in the hair business, went out to dinner with him, said, Mikey, here's the issue. I'm starting to lose my hair in the back. I want to get ahead of the game a little bit. What do I do? He's stopped him right there. He said, I have a company for you called Zion.
Starting point is 00:35:12 My friend, Simon, starting this, you need to get a hold of him. And then kind of the rest of his history, and this is how I got the partnership with Zion. What Zion is is a basically an FDA-approved treatment for hair loss prevention. Typically, you know, men or women, mostly women, both lose their hair. They take propitia.
Starting point is 00:35:34 And this isn't a great revolutionary product that it's a topical finasteride. So, finasteride is the drug that's in propusia and it promotes hair growth. This is a gel that you just apply on your head once a day and it's a lot better for health wise because you don't have the issues of using finasteride. There's a lot of ED is prevalent in using finasteride where a lot of men are kind of resistant to taking this. So this is a topical finasteride. It's like a little gel that you just pump in your hand and put it on once a day. It's a great product. Yeah. Just started using it. I'm loving it so far. I'm going to get your job about it. You're going to hear a lot more about it. And Like I said, you know, and I talked about it with my wife.
Starting point is 00:36:26 And it's one of those things as men that we just don't want to talk about. Nobody wants to talk about hair loss. Nobody wants to talk about taking Viagra or dating websites. Those are kind of things you just don't want to talk about in public. But I kind of want to talk about with my wife and she says, why don't you get ahead of this? Why don't you be like, get rid of the stigma and talk about it? Because every guy goes through this and Ryan, you made a very good point.
Starting point is 00:36:45 You said time is undefeated. Is that the right time? Age is undefeated. You can slow it down all you want. You can try to, but it's undefeated. So I was like, you know what, you're right. Why don't I get out there? If I can help one or two people, hopefully more,
Starting point is 00:36:58 but if I can help a couple of people say, hey, listen, it's okay to talk about it. It's gonna happen. We're getting older, losing your hair is just part of it. Why not just talk about it and kinda say, hey, let's help each other out, let's talk about it. And also, if you see somebody on social media like trying to better themselves
Starting point is 00:37:13 on something that's kind of embarrassing to talk about it, give them a little props. I mean, hey, thank you so much because it's not easy going on social media and talking about losing your hair or ED or stuff that we just don't like to talk about. So give them a little bit of props when you see this on social media. I'm excited about it.
Starting point is 00:37:28 You know, I'm very open about my life and I've always been that way and that was another thing that kind of made me want to talk about this is that I've always been very open about everything that I do. So anyway, if you see me talking about the Zion's hair product, check it out. I'm going through the situation now. We're having a lot of fun. We had a great time in Vegas. We gambled a lot. We gamble a lot.
Starting point is 00:37:45 We ate a lot. We had so much fun. It was about 150 degrees outside. So we kind of stayed in our hotel. But we went to an amazing steak dinner called the Golden Steer. If you have never been to this place, it's, I want to say it's off the strip. It's kind of catty corner to, I would say,
Starting point is 00:38:01 Encore Circus Circus. Circus. Next to Circus Circus, it's not. It's next to circus circus. It's not it's a little strip mall. It's been around since the 50. I mean, you look mob an old mob used to go there. They have a room that sits 14 people that they called it the private mob room. Yeah, they used to eat smoked cigars in there. I mean, the only thing missing was Ray Liyot are coming out with it with the table. I mean, it was just I felt like I was in a scene of good fellows. I mean, we were right across from Clint Eastwood's table Frank Sinatra Dean the rap pack like all of them like
Starting point is 00:38:29 they were all a tharing it was just it was iconic and we were talking to the waiters and they came to our table and I don't know about you Ryan but that Caesar salad that they made it this table. This is become such a bro podcast. I know I'm sorry this is what happens when Britney's not around. It's become I know so let's do something fun Ryan What is a misconception that people would have about what's about with this? Taylor let's first of all let me finish what you want to hear about not the Caesar salad. Yes They do they want to hear about this. They definitely don't we're gonna have to edit half of this podcast out
Starting point is 00:39:03 Ryan what's a big misconception about that people would have on Jax? Honestly, and maybe watching him on television for all these years, and he said it, so many people have said it, there's so much that's edited out that you don't see, but honestly, Jax is a really big heart. Absolutely. Here's the thing, what I've said this many times, you've got to understand, we film for hours and hours and hours, days and days and days.
Starting point is 00:39:31 The show is what, 45 minutes long with commercials, about 45 minutes, it's an hour, but it's 45 minutes with commercials, right? So there's what, five to 10 castmates on an average show. So there's only a very small portion that they can show each person. So when there's a conversation or an argument going on They're only going to show the point where I'm going crazy. They're not showing the point how the fight started
Starting point is 00:39:50 How it ended. They're showing the part where I'm at my peak screaming and yelling So that's what the viewer sees and the viewer says well, that's that jack's guy He's acting like a crazy person. Well, yes, maybe but you didn't see how the fight started or how it ended or where it got to that point So that part is a little frustrating to me and that just doesn't go for Vanderpump rules. That goes for any TV show and it's nothing to do with editors. It's nothing to do with any of that. It just goes just, it's the size of the cast and the amount of time that we have. Everybody has to have a storyline and people want to see people blowing up. That's what they want to see. So anytime I get cashback for shopping, it's a goal and it's good in our marriage. The stores pay Rakuten a commission for sending them shoppers and Rakuten shares the commission with its members.

Starting point is 00:42:48 I've introduced some of my other clients to you, right? In the past couple of years and even we were out for dinner the other night with one of the executive producers of of bachelor, right? And every single one of them, I mean everybody watches Vanderpump rules and even if they don't, they know who Jack's Taylor is, they're always so hesitant and almost scared to meet you and being honest with you. And once they do, they're just shell shocked at how normal and humble and kind of chilled out you are in real life. And that's what I find so interesting because obviously I've watched all your, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:31 all your seasons and anybody that watches, we always see you at your most heightened states, right? Right, right. That's what people want to see. But in real life, and I always say this, and I know you'll have those, you know, red at her saying, oh, of course she's saying this because she says publicists, but no, I'm truly speaking the truth right now. You're so normal and you're so chill
Starting point is 00:43:51 and you're one of my, I always say this to Ryan because you know, this industry that we're in is absolutely grueling and Jack's truly, and I know Ryan, you'll vouch for this. He's one of the most loyal clients. Yeah, absolutely. I appreciate that. You guys are making my head big.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Just don't give me wrong. I do have my blow up moments. In 10 years, I've probably had what? Maybe two or three with you guys. No, honestly. I've literally wanted to quit the whole industry and say, I'm done. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I don't need this. I do have my ego moments, too. I'm like, I don't need this. I don't need to do this where they have to literally, and they say, talk me off a ledge. That's what I mean by talking me off a ledge. When I go on my rants and I'm like, I don't need this, I don't need to do this, where they kind of have to literally, and I say, talk me off a ledge, that's what I mean by talking me off a ledge. When I go on my rants and I'm like, I don't need this or I lose it, I'm very, I get triggered very easily. I was born with a very short fuse. But I think
Starting point is 00:44:35 you kind of have your fits and you let off your steam and say, you have to say, the next day, you're like, I got it out, I'm fine. Yeah, I'm like that. I'm like that with my wife, too. And she understands it. And like, it I have to go through my my emotions. I have to get it out whether it's screaming yelling going for a walk. Everybody deals with their stress differently. But that's how I do it. I have to yell and scream. So I so I've never seen you yell and scream scream in real life. I've seen you yelling scream on the show. But the phone sometimes not with me not with me. I think again your relationship with Ryan could be different. Maybe I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Oh, it's probably just because I represent multiple cast members on Vanderpump rules. So there is a little bit of, you know, I don't want to say jealousy, but it's a little bit like, you know, this is going on to this person. You question it sometime. Oh, I question it. I still do. I question a lot just because of certain things. I'm like, well, I want to make sure I'm getting the most out
Starting point is 00:45:26 of what I need to get the most out of. And I want to know why certain people are getting this. Of course, that's why I don't really like to look at certain websites all the time because I don't want to see who's doing what, but I'm very, very grateful. I complain. I should never complain. I do more than most people do.
Starting point is 00:45:43 I'm very grateful for both you guys, you guys, kill it for me. I'm always working constantly. And I'm always happy. That's just the person in me always just kind of never, I'm never like happy in the moment. I'm always looking for the next thing. Always looking for the next thing.
Starting point is 00:45:55 I can't relax and like just, I was trying to do that the other day in my pool. I go, I can't just freaking relax. I can't turn my brain off. I would pay a lot of money to turn my freaking brain off just for an hour. Right, I get it. And it's tough. I can't do it because I'm like, I have this beautiful home.
Starting point is 00:46:11 I got a beautiful wife. I have a beautiful son. I'm in my backyard. I'm barbecuing. I'm doing, I'm like, I hope my dad is looking down at this, but I'm just like, I cannot turn my freaking brain off because I want to know what my next job is. Where's this next check? And what are we going to do next month? And are we still going to live here are we're going to do TV it's just constantly.
Starting point is 00:46:28 That's good to be punniproactive and kind of wanting more you know and and not just being happy with what you have and that that's good you have a fire under you that you're you know excited about you know what's going on in your life and your career yeah I think you want more and you want to take everything but it's like I think it's a good quality to have that you are ambitious. Yeah, I just wish I could, like I said, I'm very grateful. I have a lot of things that people don't have, but I feel like sometimes I'm just never just in the moment. I'm never in the moments, and this being like,
Starting point is 00:46:58 well, having a family and stuff, you're running around with a chicken with your head cut off. It's hard to kind of be grounded and be saying, like, hey, I'm at a good place, but at least you realizing this is a good song. Not only that too, it's like, you got to remember too. I was like this before I had a cruise. Now it's doubled because now I have a son.
Starting point is 00:47:16 I don't have the disposable income anymore. I don't have the, let's just go take off on vacation. Now I have a son that I have to make sure has to have three meals a day, has to make sure he's got money for school, make sure he's got clothes on his back, make sure he's going to the doctor, make sure he's playing. Like it's a really big deal. And I never thought in life that I would ever be in this position where I would be having a home married kids, dogs, house like I don't think any of us thought that. No, no.
Starting point is 00:47:37 And I'm so happy for it. But it's just like gosh, I would literally pay a lot of money. You know, another thing people always ask me, they'll say, is Jack's really reformed? You know, from, are you this reformed? What do you mean by the fore? Well, because, again, because, For my actions. No, I'd say your actions, because again,
Starting point is 00:47:57 going back to your portrayal on Vanderpump rules and some of your questionable actions, people always question, is he really this, you know, doating husband and father? And I mean, like, again, here we have Ryan here to hear from truly, you are, you've been absolutely, yeah. You have to grow up at some point,
Starting point is 00:48:17 especially when you start a family. I mean, you don't really have a choice as much as, I mean, you have a family, your priorities change. We're all married, have kids, and your priorities change. You know, going out with your friends and drinking and, you know, staying out late, Jack says before, the baby or the child doesn't care. Doesn't care. Like almost like come home soon.
Starting point is 00:48:39 You kind of don't want to do that because your next day is going to be ruined because you have a lot of responsibilities. I think Jack's. You'll still have some. right right right right now I have the plan. Are you going to be up early the more exactly and you're a nervous dad too. Like even we had that fourth of July party here at your house and I was begging you to just call the babysitter because you and Brittany should be able to have, you know, a fun night drink a little bit, let the babysitter put cruise to bed. But Jackson's just, you're so nervous about cruise and cruise is always put first, no matter what, which obviously, you know, is incredible
Starting point is 00:49:17 and as it should be, but at the same time, I think there should be a balance, right? Because I think you and Britney still deserve to have those date nights and those fun nights. As that is. That's happening because my mother-in-law will be here on the 29th for a whole month. I know you guys are thinking, you're gonna have your mother-in-law stay with you for a whole month.
Starting point is 00:49:35 I have a different type of relationship with my mother-in-law. We have a really good relationship and she's just a most amazing person ever but she's gonna be here for a month and if you parents out there know what it's like to have help free free by the way free help for a whole month I've got dates planned I got so much stuff planned I'm super excited I cannot wait till she get help I have a little fun fact when Jackson Brittany first had crews and then at a ventagoto who was the first person to babysit for crews Ryan was the first person and that was nerve fucking wrecking let me tell you all I was the first
Starting point is 00:50:07 babysitter for cruise when you and Brittany went to e-news to film e-news do you remember and I was the first babysitter you guys were so worried we were gonna actually bring cruise there and I was gonna take care of them but it was during covid and they wouldn't allow me to come or him to come. So I said, okay, it's fine. I'll stay at the house with Cruz and you guys were so worried. I'm like, guys, I've handled twins. It was like a couple hours.
Starting point is 00:50:33 He slept the entire time. You're right. You are. You are first. And he was my experience. So they were going to a premiere. They didn't have help. They didn't have a nanny.
Starting point is 00:50:42 And I live very close to Jack's and Brittany. So I came over, Cruz is fine. Right when they left, he literally lost it and had a meltdown for like an hour. And I'm like, they have cameras in the house, I'm thinking, oh my god, they're watching the cameras and they're seeing him cry the whole time. I have an eight and a half year old, I'm like, this old hat.
Starting point is 00:51:01 Obviously, I didn't have to deal with a newborn, but I think that Jackson Brittany being away and Cruz being so young and his mom and dad weren't there that he was like, oh my God. So it was a little bit challenging, but it was fun and I'm glad I got to do it. I remember that, you were traumatized. And I think, didn't you bring your daughter here too?
Starting point is 00:51:19 No, she wasn't here. No, she wasn't. She wanted to be here because Sophie was here at the time. But let me live in this up a little bit. Let me get more what people want to know Where are we right now with Vanderpump where I'm tired of talking about this But I got to say it's helped my career out a lot So I don't hate it that much But I feel like where are we with it? Are we are we done talking about it? Are we are we beat it a dead horse to death?
Starting point is 00:51:39 I don't think we're ever gonna be done with it It was just yeah, we don't want to scan it all I mean it's at the end of the day, I'm not being a poet, we're done with the scant of all. I mean, it's hit the end of the day and I'm not justifying it all, he cheated. Okay? Everybody in the world has done some bad things in life and there's been a lot of people who've cheated out there
Starting point is 00:51:53 but are we done talking about this? And are we like, why the hell is this guy so big? I mean, I just don't understand. I'll pass it to you right after we're done to Ryan. Can we, can we, can we put a wrap on sand ball? I'd like it to be done. Cute. Of course he would like it to be done.
Starting point is 00:52:06 But I always say this when asked, it's not about the cheating. Right. Many people cheat. That's not what it was about. I think it was about how, what transpired after the fact, how he went about it after the lack of empathy. You don't think so Ryan? The reason I blew up is because it was just the, and maybe people have, you know, obviously
Starting point is 00:52:30 put a, you know, a microscope obviously to this and picked apart every single issue of scantival. But I think it was the timing that it broke and the timing that the show was airing, I think it was episode four. Right. People were watching it in real time. People hear about cheating scandals all the time, but they've never been able to watch it go down in real time and really nitpick and tear things apart watching these lies unfold. And it almost is like it was just one thing after another with him. Like he just couldn't help.
Starting point is 00:53:05 I think he was drowning. Well, once the cameras got, got back up, they started filming and covering what happened. Then the viewers were like, oh my God, this is another facet to the show that we're leading up to this new footage that's gonna be shown. So they could be, you know, their,
Starting point is 00:53:24 their armchair detectives, armchair quarterbacks to kind of realize a nitpick and look under a microscope of any hints, any clues that, and that, I think that's what people were fascinated about. It's crazy to me. So Ryan, let's see if he'll answer this. Ryan, do you think Rekel's last Rachel will be coming back to the show? And do you think she should? She is.
Starting point is 00:53:47 I heard she's contractually, is that a word? Contracture and Recontracture. I would be obligated. Obligated. Do I think she's coming back? I don't know. I think it's TBD and I guess things will, I mean, they've been shooting for two weeks.
Starting point is 00:53:58 So I think it remains to be seen. I guess, maybe production knows, maybe Bravon knows. I don't know, so I can't really guess. And I also want to make a point. I, there was a, a, a snippet of the saying something that I was talking about, Rekel's mental health. Now, I was not talking about her mental health. I said, it's reality TV, if you're have,
Starting point is 00:54:18 if you're struggling with mental health, reality TV probably isn't the best place for that. That's what, that's the only point I made. I don't know Raquel well enough to talk about her at all. I've met her maybe two times. So I don't know where well enough to talk about, but I hope she's doing okay. Personally, in my opinion, do I think she should come back?
Starting point is 00:54:36 Probably not. Financial should she, if she needs money, if she's doing what she's saying, she's doing going to these clinics and getting help, that's very expensive. So if she's, you know, if it's a financial thing, then good for her, but if she doesn't need the money, and she's just doing this just to do it,
Starting point is 00:54:53 and I don't know, I don't know if it's a good idea, but again, it's my opinion, so it really doesn't mean anything. But. I do think that with the right publicist and doing the right things, I'm just trying to reach out. Absolutely not. Would you see her in the right way, I'm not absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:55:05 Would you see her in the right way? Or would you take her on? No, I wouldn't take her on because I feel like it would be a conflict and would cause a lot of issues with my current clients and this. But no, I think she can come back. I do. I think what she did is completely unforgivable,
Starting point is 00:55:26 but I do think that sand of all was the culprit. Right, but I also think, and everyone's like, you know, they feel bad for her, and she had maybe she is going through something, but then I have a hard time dealing with that after they left the reunion, and they went back and they were laughing and giggling about it. That's the problem I had.
Starting point is 00:55:44 If I wouldn't have saw that, then I would have been like, you know what, maybe she is going through something, but the fact that she was making fun of it in the green room or after laughing and going, you know, what's... I think it's going to be very interesting to hear from her when she does come back and I hope she does come back and really, you know, maybe does a sit-down interview in an environment where she feels comfortable, hey, maybe she'll come on your podcast. I highly doubt it. No, I would not.
Starting point is 00:56:07 But I do think that there's some serious, deep-rooted issues. I don't think she's well. Do you think Tom and Rachel will be at BravoCon? Absolutely. I definitely sound of all will be in there with, in full costume, 100%. In my opinion, what about you, Ryan? You would know.
Starting point is 00:56:27 You can say it's okay. No, I'm sure Santaval will be a propaganda. I can't speak for Rachel or Raquel. I hate by haste. So I don't know the situation. Okay, we're getting close to the end. We're going to wrap up soon. I have a couple questions. Both you guys suggestions for actors, slash reality people, whatever, trying to get into the business. We'll keep this quick and short. But if you have somebody who's on the cusp right now, living in Ohio, working at Starbucks and saying, you know what, I wanna get the F out of here,
Starting point is 00:56:53 I wanna go to LA, I can be on a reality show, I can be on a scripted show, what should I do, what give him or her, give him or her some advice. There's no overnight success. You have to be patient, you have to be work hard. If you're an actor, you have to work on your craft. Obviously with the sag strike, notwithstanding, but you have to really be passionate about what you do.
Starting point is 00:57:15 And if you say, oh, I kind of want to try this out, but I want to do other things. You have to be 1 million percent focused on your craft on what you want to do. I mean, you saying like, hey, I want to be on reality television. That's really hard to do. Saying, hey, I want to be in reality television, that's really hard to do because it's all about timing. And it's all about luck, which it is with that being an actor, too.
Starting point is 00:57:32 Like, you can go on 150 auditions and not book one, but the 150 first that you book could get you your first job, or you can get a job on a huge television show or movie and that can change everything. It's like playing the lottery. Coming out in LA is really tough. I was born and raised here, so I've kind of grew up a little bit in the business, not really.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Any of my family were involved with it, but I knew that I wanted to be an entertainment, you know, because I just love TV and movies. Also, you better save your money, come here with a lot of it, or you better have mom and dad's credit card, because it is expensive. Or have a job, obviously living in LA and California is one of the most expensive cities and states to live in but it's really difficult you should have some sort of
Starting point is 00:58:13 you know savings but have patience and wear with all and thick skin because this is a tough town very tough very competitive and, what do you think? Oh, my question for Lori, sorry. Lori, my question is for you. How do you decide what clients that you take on? Now, you have a lot of bachelor slash bats that's read people. You don't take all of them.
Starting point is 00:58:35 So which ones do you take? And how do you go about, you know, saying, you know what I want to represent this person? It's an interesting question. At the start, when I was really watching the shows, I mean, I was a bachelor fan to begin with. I was a love's blind fan at the start as well. Vanderpump rule spent.
Starting point is 00:58:55 I love reality television. So I'd be watching these shows. And if a person really stood out to me where I felt that I could see them being well branded, their values aligned with mine, if I felt that, you know, they appealed to the masses. I completely agree with you, Ryan, I think in general getting into this industry, my biggest advice would be do not take no for an answer. And this was the same advice that I took for myself getting into this industry because as a publicist as a talent agent
Starting point is 00:59:30 You know your so many doors are closed on you and if you let that discourage you in Anything in life in your in your career in being a parent, right? Yeah, you just have to keep going and especially especially out here, because you've got to remember, everybody who comes out here to make it, they were the big fish in their small pond and their home state. So now you're in California, where everybody's a big fish. So now you're going up against everybody
Starting point is 00:59:54 who was pretty or popular or good actor and their state. And now they're all in the same pile. So now you're getting used to rejection for the first time. So it can be very, very hard. But it's also for, you know, from Lori and I, standpoint, being a talent representative, or representing anyone in the entertainment business,
Starting point is 01:00:09 it's just as hard and competitive. Like you don't just come here and, you know, you work and start representing people, you literally have to learn the business, you have to work as an apprentice, or an assistant, what they call an assistant, under someone, kind of learn the business, have a foundation, have a mentor,
Starting point is 01:00:24 and then work your ass off. It takes so long to kind of get over the hump as a representative. Well, we're gonna wrap it up now. I wanna say thank you guys both for being here. Brittany will be back next week and we have some huge news next week that I cannot wait to talk about,
Starting point is 01:00:42 but I promise Brittany that she would be part of this when we announce it. So thank you guys both for coming on. Also shout out to Phoebe Cates. She was an 80s icon. I used to watch all her movies from fast times, babysitter, Gremlins, drop dead Fred. We all, if you're my age, we all know who she is. So happy 60th birthday to Phoebe Cates. Gosh, can we see? Happy birthday. And yes, so we'll be back next week with some big news with Wendry Out of Hits with Jackson Brittney.
Starting point is 01:01:08 Thanks again, guys. Thanks for having us. Yeah, thank you. A lot of fun, and we'll talk to you later. Have a great day, everybody. you
