Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? It's showtime. It's show time. it's Carl with Jen from the Jingles Department. Thanks for joining us Jen. Thank you. A little bit of a different show format today. We're gonna do a
Starting point is 00:01:07 tribute to Carl Ruiz. If you haven't heard the news, Carl Ruiz passed away last weekend. Apparently had a heart attack in his sleep. He was so sad. 44 years old and of course we know Carl very well on this show because he was a co-host of OP radio. And I would say probably at least 50% of the OP episodes that came out head collar Louise front and center on though. So over the last 16, 17 months, we've been listening to a ton of collar Louise. So I found out the new Sunday morning as I was editing the podcast. We didn't get a chance to talk about it all Last week, so I thought I'd be fitting to just talk about some of the things that we liked about Carl because
Starting point is 00:01:54 he was the one thing on the OP show that was enjoyable. He was. He always was funny and real and He always was funny and real and Universally loved I'm gonna play a clip from Sam Roberts He talked about this on his show on Monday Jim Norton wasn't on so Unfortunately, it's a listen to Sam's annoying voice, but I thought they brought up some good points here He was a good dude. Yeah, I didn't know now. I didn't know anybody That would sit there and go that dude sucks. nobody that was a huge bummer and trust me It's easy to find people to tell people This dude sucks that dude sucks like you know, yeah
Starting point is 00:02:35 And we did not think that carnal sock. He was just an overall good guy and I found somebody posted a Link to a video before OP started doing a podcast OP radio. He was doing these Facebook live videos. And it would be him and Carl or maybe Sherrod and Vick are there and he would just fire up his phone and start recording. This is a video that's over an hour long and about 50 minutes in, they start talking about the situation when OP had the afternoon show. It's serious. He had OP radio and it was well known that he paid the co-hosts to come on and do the show with
Starting point is 00:03:22 them. Okay. And I didn't know anything about this. I didn't listen to OP show when he had the afternoon show. So I didn't know a lot about this. I just knew that he would have Sherada and Vic in Carl Ruiz on these guys. Okay guys. So this is really interesting. He's sitting there with Carl in a bar in a restaurant.
Starting point is 00:03:39 So it sounds like crap, I apologize for that. But this shows you what a good guy call Ruizas. And people want to know if I'm paying you, that whole thing is coming up again. This is from December 18th, 2017. Okay. Is when this is recorded. And of course, OP started this podcast, I think around April or May of 2018. So this is a few months before that. And people want to know if I'm paying you. That whole thing is coming up again. Why? People think I need to pay people to hang out with me and do radio. This is a good nonsense I got to deal with. When I was moving on to the last version of the show,
Starting point is 00:04:21 I've exclaimed all of this. I wanted to pay a few of the guys that were really, really helpful to putting the new rendition of it. And I went sign my contract. It's like I'm running for my guys. And for some reason, people are spinning that like it's a bad thing. And you weren't in on that. And I still feel bad. Call didn't really get paid for his appearances on the last version of
Starting point is 00:04:45 radio show. Carl was not getting paid so he had all these guys that he was he wouldn't sign his contract until he got him paid and Carl would go do a show all the time. Well Carl's a smart person, he was getting some airtime and he needed that publicity too but what a guy. I'm impressed because if you listen to the list of people he did pay. So I held out and I finally got 200,000 that I spread the, you know, the wealth. Right. The Shorod that can't be good for you. Rich Voss who for some reason that's a problem with Rich Voss, I'm never understanding that.
Starting point is 00:05:22 I saw him give me a big hand. So he did pay Vic Henley, Sharad Smollick. These guys also could use the publicity. Even more so than Carl Ruiz. Carl Ruiz isn't a stand-up. Usually if you're a stand-up, if you're doing gigs on the weekends, if you can build a fan base through a podcast or a radio show, that's going to help you when you go and try to sell tickets.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Sure. But Carl even brings up that this was really just helping him for the restaurant that he had. I also talked about how he didn't pay Mark Norman either. There were two people that surely got paid that did it. I couldn't take care of everybody. But it also felt like some of these guys were coming in and you know, I was helping their tickets. I also felt like there was some work to it Like your business went up in Marines. Yeah, I feel bad. I didn't pay more for them because he was one of the guys on the fence All right, that's so hard to understand what he's saying So what he said goes these guys could have come on and just done the show and would have helped them with their ticket sales
Starting point is 00:06:21 And and then he's thinking about as I go shit, oh shit. I mean, your business went up at Marie's, right? This is when Carl, with his wife at the time, ex-wife now. Wow, yeah. I don't even know how to talk about this. This is when Carl had a deli in New Jersey. Okay. So he was going on a national radio show
Starting point is 00:06:42 to help his deli in New Jersey. Does that make any sense? No, but he seems like he was also probably just doing it for fun because he's a fun guy. Well, he also had another radio show on Sirius about cooking. Okay. So he did have a job at Sirius. Carl Ruiz did that he was getting paid for. And then he would stop by and spend hours with Opie, which is impressive. I mean, I give the guy credit. He was not doing this for a paycheck. He was doing it for fun, but then Opie did end up paying him. I'm going to say, I have to. I ended up giving a call to the check, near the end. I felt like it wasn't right, that you weren't really getting paid. How did you earn money? That was all my... That was a fact check that I threw in your car because I knew you wouldn't take it.
Starting point is 00:07:27 So Opie felt bad in the paying carol with his own money. Ah, he's so awkward. Why is he having to talk about that? I know, but don't talk about what a great guy you are on your show. It doesn't come across while. No. But it's funny because if you remember how I started these clips, he talks about how everyone thinks I have to pay people to hang out with me. Why do they think that? That's why me and Krill are friends like, you never really
Starting point is 00:07:52 asked me for anything. I can't tell you how many of these guys expect it a lot. Yeah. All of the other guys expected to get paid for their time. Which, rightfully so. If you're gonna co-host a show. Well, yeah. It makes sense. It's one thing if you're just on as a guest from time to time. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:11 But if you're expected to come in day after day and do this like rambling radio show. Well, if you're on it every day, you are part of the show and you should be getting paid. So it's interesting that for some reason Opi worked really hard to get a pool of money that he could pay his co-host but he never paid Call of Louise out of that money and I was listening to an episode that we reviewed Now knowing that information and Opi's talking about chemistry and how he always understood
Starting point is 00:08:42 Which guys to get in the room because he understands chemistry and I understand this clip a little differently now knowing that he didn't have to pay Carl to come in. When you didn't think the lineup was right at the series 6M, they get like you didn't like it. You call me up. COOPS! I know this stuff really well. You always knew I was automatic, like I wish if I could, I'd be there. I was always mixing a match of people and sometimes I knew the chemistry wouldn't be good
Starting point is 00:09:09 and I knew like adding you to the mix would absolutely help that chemistry. That's true. Adding Carl to the mix does help any show because he's the funny person. He is the funny person. And again, here's the guy, Opie's calling him up because he doesn't have to pay him anything so it's like hey cubes want to come on the show today and Carl would just do it and I think that's impressive. It's a good guy He's a likable person very likable person always comes across as being really likable somebody you'd want to hang around with and getting back to
Starting point is 00:09:42 Sam he brought up something that I think is a great point and something that maybe even guys like Stuttering John can learn from. And he would actually, like where so many of us are going like, Oh, don't feed the trolls, don't talk to the trolls online. People would troll him. He's the only person I've ever known that would get the trolls that we get, which are like some of the fiercest trolls in the world and he would win them over People who initially were just going on the internet to fuck with him He would start talking right back to him and if they were funny he would tell them okay regardless It was about him or not. He'd be like okay, that was funny. That was a funny joke and it was not funny
Starting point is 00:10:21 He would come back at them with some of his own jokes, but eventually they would all turn around and they'd all love him So I had firsthand experience with this Because I don't troll people on the internet. We just do a show and put it out. I guess that's trolley people on the internet Whatever you know, I'm not on Twitter at mentioning people and fucking with them But Karuiz reached out to us directly and you know made a comment about some of what we were talking about with Tater Tots and Jeremiah's and said he loved the show and it's just amazing to me that Carl was just had such a great disposition about everything that was going on just loved life just enjoyed everything Like you guys are goofing on OP, that's cool man.
Starting point is 00:11:05 He even said, like, he bought the good work or keep doing what you're doing. It's just really cool guy. Understood how to play both sides, didn't get wrapped up into things. It's a shame he had to go because the world needs people like him to have a sense of humor. Wait, he's the only guy that I can think of who is really cool with all the different warring sides of the old OP and Anthony universe. Nobody has a bad thing to say about it. If you talk to Anthony or Jim and Sam obviously talking about it and obviously he's OP's guy, OP loves the dude. Their best friend's, OP put out a big, long Facebook post about this. I thought was pretty
Starting point is 00:11:45 touching. And this is a big deal for Opie. Of course it is. It's really sad for him. And I don't think anybody saw this coming. I mean, why would you? He was 44 years old. 44 years old full life. It seemed to be doing. I mean, he didn't have a healthy lifestyle. He was smoking, drinking. Well, that chef lifestyle is not healthy. No, opening up the restaurant, multi million dollar restaurant man, hat, and I'm sure is stressful hypertension. So, but I loved the fact that Carl was in on the joke. And I think, and I know I'm going to sound like people I make fun of,
Starting point is 00:12:24 but I think he was throwing us back It's certain times in the show because he would say things that he knew we would latch on to it Start with things like this a drinky poo Well, I know you are convinced he was sending you signals He was sending you signals cuz he was starting my say like oh, you know, I have a drinky poo or let's go to the tabanuch The tabanuch And at first I think he was just having fun with Opie because that's the brother we talked, the Opie picked up.
Starting point is 00:12:51 But then there got to a point where Carol was doing this on purpose, things like this. So my third base took a little nappy poo and I went up, I got up to have a ciggy and it didn't wake her up. And he's talking about nappy poo's SIGGI's at the same sentence. There's something going on there. He knows what he's up to. Even when they made the trip to Rochester, OP and Carl drove to Rochester to go on Brother Rees' show.
Starting point is 00:13:18 And Carl had an idea about having a little excursion. We could maybe do a little side trip to Buffalo. Buffalo? Yeah, man. God. Go to Buffalo. So, Carl, you're talking about you, Collie Poo. Oh, yeah. Or Collie Poo, I should say.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Collie Poo, I think, was sending us signals. I think he knew that we loved when he was saying those ridiculous words that were only funny to third graders. Well, and all your fans and yourself. And especially all our fans and myself. The other thing with Carl was he was the real guy on the show and when everyone else would just laugh along with Opie or just play along with Opie, Carl was the guy who would try to level set things from time to time, and his patience would wear thin with the oops here.
Starting point is 00:14:09 That was one of the things that I loved about him. Opie would go off and yell at people in the streets or just make an ass of himself in Manhattan, and Carl would say things like this. When you do shit like this, I can understand what some people hate you. Why do you think I'm doing that? Many of truth is said and just, and Opie is not well liked by people.
Starting point is 00:14:36 No. And Carl was a standout guy, was a good friend, but there were times when he'd be like, see this, oh, this is why everybody fucking hates you. What are you doing? He's a voice of reason. He was the voice of reason This was one that we listened to just recently where OP's yelling fuck you with someone in Manhattan Standing next to Carl and cross like dude, you're gonna make me fight these people. You want to be on my podcast? Oh fuck you OP
Starting point is 00:15:03 What are you saying fuck you to people? I'm gonna want this guy to fight. I'm out here. You're becoming the rope. Like crazy. How much... I mean, there were times, and that's why we had the whole final countdown thing. There were times when it seemed like he was at his wit's end with Opie. And we really hoped that we would get Carl Ruiz on this show at some point.
Starting point is 00:15:24 It's a pity you never got to meet him. It's very sad. I think it would have hit it off for sure. and we really hoped that we would get Karl Ruiz on this show at some point. It's a pity you never got to meet him. It's very sad. I think it would have hit it off for sure. It would have been a lot of fun to talk to him. But there were a lot of signals that he didn't want to be on the show. They went and saw Lewis J. Gomez's podcast studio. And Lewis has taken them around. He's like, oh yeah, here's studio A,
Starting point is 00:15:47 here's studio B, all this technology, all the stuff that we have set up. They walk out of there and Carl was embarrassed. I was embarrassed. Why? Because we're walking around with this dialysis machine and he's got this whole thing going on. Yeah, but we do it different. Hope we just did not get it. He's like, that this is embarrassing. Hope he's like, what do you mean? You're holding on to a handheld zoom recorder. And you call that podcasting. You just walked into a multimedia studio where these guys who don't have the means of Opie are doing it way better than you. And I think that there are times that you would pick up on the carls just like oh man and even
Starting point is 00:16:28 just want to like end the show and Opie wouldn't let it stop. It's not stupid. I'm not doing it. All right I'm going home. But I want to talk about shit that girl. We're done. What do you mean we're done? I want to go home.
Starting point is 00:16:42 I want to go home. All right we did it. Shit that car leads. What a terrible name. Dude, it's great. What kind of font would you use? Brown? You want to do it in Brown? Like just a font. You don't know fonts? Let's look up some fonts. Come on, that's it. What do you mean that's it? I'm exhausted for him. I know. I feel so
Starting point is 00:17:07 bad. He had so much patience with Opie. He put up with so much. And then by the very end of the show, he opened up La Cubana. And that was a big deal for the show. They would go in and podcast from his restaurant. Even when they were building it, they were building the kitchen around them, they'd be podcasting. But then they finally opened up, and OP would talk to the staff there, and this is where Carl was really losing it, because OP being OP embarrasses himself.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Who did? Mr. Ryan, who says you work here, and that's not how to get into the book. Ola! No, don't stop messing with stuff. I'm just saying Ola. Ola. Hey, Trump. Oh, shit. Sorry. I got LASIK 15 years ago. I might need a touch-up. I'll give you a fucking touch-up. I thought she was an Ola. What's wrong with you, Opie? I really thought she was an Ola. So first off, Carl's not really thrilled with this line of jokes. Well, he shouldn't be as an HR nightmare.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Well, right, but Bokeven mind he's calling someone who works at a Cuban restaurant in Ola. He's such an idiot, I can't say. And Carl releases Cuban. Right. And Carl just says very calmly, not jokingly, he goes, don't mess with staff. Right. Like this is my, these are my employees. You can't go around just yelling racist, insensitive things at them. And later on in that same episode, about an hour later, Opie revisits us because he thought it was so funny. He was not picking up or Carl was putting down.
Starting point is 00:18:49 And a hula hoop. I'm sorry about the hola. That was the hola, right? Just let it come. Just let it come. You can't do it. You can't do it. Why, man?
Starting point is 00:18:59 I was trying to say sorry. So finally, I loved this clip, and I'm playing it again because Karo finally just goes off on OP and lets him know what an idiot he is. You don't apologize when you're offensively by keeping repeating your fence. Hey, I'm sorry I called you speaker, right? Alright, I'm speaking, speaking of Caprente Amigo. Sorry about I called you a speaker. Did you hear that? SPICY? Mamos, okay? No bueno, no bueno, gracias, but I'm sure she's a no-no-no-stress
Starting point is 00:19:29 Don't just tell Banyo, okay? She's annoyed me for many things I was most models, okay? I'm sure she's annoyed me for many things I was pointing out the one I was getting that Pog Hey rigger or Kano, hey sorry about that, okay? Maracas Chacha chacha chacha chacha Boy, I'm on the... Boy,, sorry about that, okay? Maracas, cha cha cha cha cha cha cha. Boy, I'm on the...
Starting point is 00:19:46 I'm on the... I'm on the... So, Carl had some fun with that. He did. He turned it into a funny bit. But he really was legitimately pissed at Opie for talking to his staff and insulting them. Well, and rightfully so.
Starting point is 00:19:59 And it wasn't long after that that they mistook the black bartender to be sure on small small which was very funny. Oh he's like hey sure on. He's like dude that's my bartender. I guarantee he did not want Vic Henley and OP hanging out in this restaurant. I wouldn't know what. I just want to play one other clip that I have and this is just an example of Carl would just say some really funny shit.
Starting point is 00:20:24 And it's hard to do. It's hard to be funny on a show as bad as OP show. So I got to give him a lot of credit. They were doing a commercial for whatever mattress, purple mattress. I think it's called. And Karl talks about getting to third base with a chick on the purple mattress. And I just, this one just struck me as very funny. So the purple mattress is open. It's beautiful. Yeah, and I'm using it and
Starting point is 00:20:49 I got to third base on it I got to third base and aggressive third base, too. What's an aggressive third means when you go straight to third base? So you hit the ball run through the pitcher's mound and just got a pick and straight to third base. Oh, so you hit the ball, run through the pitcher's mound, and just go to pick it, and slide into third base. That's it. That's it. That's it. Now, unfortunately, they all have to laugh way too hard at that, but that's a really funny joke.
Starting point is 00:21:17 It was a funny joke. I was a third base. I was genuinely laughing at it. So I just wanted to play a couple clips and things. It's, we're gonna miss Carl. It's gonna be tough. I don't know what OP is gonna do. He's been putting out a couple of episodes
Starting point is 00:21:32 remembering Carl just like best of, he says they're not best of, put their best of. Yeah. And he'll, I'm sure he'll do some type of tribute or something like that for Carl. And then we'll see, we'll see what he ends up doing. I feel bad for him. I do too. I feel really bad for Opie. This is a huge loss for him. It's a big loss for everyone that was involved with Carl. Guy Fieri had a lot to say about it and you know, he had a whole restaurant that he just opened
Starting point is 00:22:01 and it's it's going to be tough. be tough. So this is a very sad occurrence. So he's the good ones. It is. It is always the good ones and it's... I really didn't even believe it when I first saw the news. I had to go and look at a lot of different sources because one of the things that Opie was talking about when and when I was reading what he had said was, they weren't podcasting at the time, but he was having a heartfelt conversation with Carl and Carl said, you know, if I go young, I'm cool with it.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I'm good. Oh. Yeah. For boating. Yeah. And Carl seems like one of those guys who was living life to the fullest and maybe knew he was making decisions that we're going to catch up with him sooner than later.
Starting point is 00:22:50 But that was kind of his whole take on life. Like, I'm going to tear this shit up. Yeah. And do everything I can do and no regrets. So I guess that's the one thing that you can say if that story is true that Opie wrote I believe it that Carl was cool with it. He enjoyed his time. He didn't need to he didn't want to turn into Arty Lang. He seemed like one of the happiest people. Yes. So that's all you can ask. You know happier you can be in life good for him. So I Do feel bad for Opie. I worry about him. Yeah
Starting point is 00:23:26 It's gonna be tough It's gonna be really tough, but at least he's selling all that Ruizing merchandise. So he's making some money on that Did you see that? No, somebody posted in our subreddit They have a screen capture of Opie saying, for all the people purchasing Ruiz, this is like two days after he died. Everyone purchasing Ruiz, merchandise, it's on back order, so it'll take a couple extra days. And the person in the sub-run is just like, I don't know, can you wait till after the funeral to talk about selling his merchandise? Jesus Christ. Anyway, I didn't want a bash of you on this show.
Starting point is 00:24:05 That's not the point here. That's not my goal. But a couple of things that I do want to get through because this is a new episode of WTP, kind of. So I guess we should probably do a- Inj of the week, inj of the week. We got a cringe of the week that came in from Nick Elfres.
Starting point is 00:24:27 And this is the Yahoo NFL podcast. So this is a NFL podcast that Yahoo puts out and these sports guys who are nobody's because Yahoo doesn't have real sports guys. The guy tells a joke that they lose their shit over and laugh about for about 90 seconds and pound it into the ground. It's so uncomfortable. Hey, and Charles, if you were down 17 to 13 and the fourth quarter on the opponent's 40 and you decide to go four to four to nine, how many f*** plays would you need to run through before deciding on a draw?
Starting point is 00:25:12 It better be the Bible like the last page of the Bible. That's how thick it has to be. Like that's how long it should take me to get to Nick Chubb draw on 4th and 9 being a good idea at the Rams 40 like I don't even know really Charles really the Bible man like yes a better be that's how that's a better be like last Corinthians. You did the last book. You did the last book. You did the last book. You did the last book. Like the whole testament. And the new is both.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I need to go through the new than the old, than I need to get to the dead sea scrolls. And then eventually I get to like the last Jesus posted note where he's like seriously, there's a bunch of gunor. It's from Adam and me to revelations. You gotta go coast to coast. Seriously, yo, it's the snake. It's the snake going right in it.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Run it on 4th and 9th. See what happens. Oh, it's the apple to the full horseman. Oh, God. OK. That was about as bad as it could be but. Yeah, who fucking socks? They're putting this out as a package.
Starting point is 00:26:24 That's the beginning of the show too. It's not like they've been talking for three hours and they're delirious. They start the show off by saying, I don't know if that play call was very good on a fourth and nine. Do you think you would have ran another play instead of that one? I would have ran the Bible.
Starting point is 00:26:40 I know, that's not a good joke. But the other guy laughs so fucking hard at it that they're like, well, I'm out of this up to here Turn it into a fucking 15 minute bit So that is I am cringing that is cringing the week worthy and we appreciate that Nick Thank you for sending that in you know what else I want to play. There's a guy on our subreddit who's been putting together clips making fun of me and There was one I was just listening to this morning
Starting point is 00:27:11 That I was laughing my ass off. So apparently we didn't always used to sell merchandise on watp. I think that's how this came about Hello and welcome to another episode of who are these podcasts? The only show that doesn't try to sell you shitty merchandise. I'm your host, Carl. Please go to WhoAreThese.com to get our email address, voicemail number, link to our sub-right at link to the Discord server, link to our merchandise, link to our merchandise, link to our merchandise. Link to our merchandise. Sleep well, every opponent. This is Mr. Loaf and he's been posting these things on SoundCloud. I believe this is an exact-cheap compilation. It's a long clip, but I just wanted to show exactly what these guys are doing.
Starting point is 00:28:07 So, yeah, so this is... everything you just said is exactly right. Well, that's exactly correct. You know, it just dawned on me though. You rehashed part of our conversation. That's exactly right. Yes, good point. Fuck you! Now they fucking hate everyone. They hate Jim Norton, they hate Anthony. They just hate everyone involved in the show and these guys are exactly right like what why are we even a group anymore?
Starting point is 00:28:29 What are we doing we hate everything about this show if you are interested in hearing a stutter read his Facebook post Listen to this That's exactly right Listen to a lot of your podcast to get those I never realized I don't know how to talk. Having a podcast is taught me that. Oh wow. It's not fun. It's not a good thing.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Well, you're getting something out of this. All right, let's play some- Beyond the Acolytes. Let's play some voice mails and get out of here. This is a great one. Cripple Jesus College of the Show. I love him. Hey, Carl, it's Cripple Jesus.
Starting point is 00:29:04 I just, um I just just informed that Carl released died last week and it reminded me to call him because I'm worried about your health Carl. I had to listen to half an episode to prep for your show when I was a mopey and I haven't been able to walk since. So, Opie really takes a toll on working with the body, buddy, and I would hate to see you at nothing in the hospital as you're listening to the upstairs for all these episodes. Love the show, buddy. Keep it up. Later. and the upstairs for all these episodes. Let the show buddy keep it up later.
Starting point is 00:29:49 So, crippled Jesus' take is that Opie might have killed Carl because he just listened to one episode. Now he can't walk anymore. It's interesting, there he is. I should not put that I listen to Opie radio on my insurance. You shouldn't. My health insurance is my vision. I'm probably put that I listen to Opie radio on my insurance. You shouldn't. My
Starting point is 00:30:05 health insurance is probably the doctor get physical. All right. This is a guy who's curious if we should stop making fun of Opie. Well, after hearing the news today that the only reason that Opie's podcast is somewhat listenable, uh, calories, past the way, um, I wonder if it may be in Some will listen will car ease pass away. I Wonder it may be in poor taste to keep making fun of opi and he seems pretty broken up about it and Well, Carl was the only interesting thing on there, but then again, I remember it that they made fun of lacy peterson on all in a for years Yeah, so Keep on beating down Opey Carl. Just smack him around. Let's keep making fun of him. Like in you never, you never
Starting point is 00:30:55 want to let up for anywhere else. And you shouldn't either. I do appreciate that when people remind me that we're making fun of Opie and Stuttering John, these are people who have been doing this their entire lives. I shouldn't feel bad about it. No, I suppose not. You look like you think I should feel bad about it. I feel like under certain circumstances you can be the bigger person. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:22 But that's all up to you. No, I know. So Opie who gives a shit, Suner and John who gives a shit, then there's guys like Shamus. I really think you should lay off that guy. Shamus is losing his mind. This is a great boy smile, the K-A-MED. Hey, Carl. Well, I can't wait until Shamus does a podcast where he heads to the rope ladder and stool store. where he heads to the rope ladder and stool store. That's what I'm hoping happens. All right.
Starting point is 00:31:48 We did not endorse that in any kind of way here. We love Shemus, and we want him to continue to podcast for many years to come. They're fans are dark. Speaking of which, I wonder if Colorado Wells will be buried in a grave a room or cremated in an incinerator reenie. A little bit of a stretch, but I like it.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Oh boy. Okay, so when you call W-H-E-P and we play your calls on the show, you become a celebrity. Is that true? Yes. So here is why I can calls on the show you become a celebrity. Does that true? Yes. So here is why I can start calling the show. I'm the start calling the show. Should.
Starting point is 00:32:30 So this is the guy that we made a celebrity through his calls. Hey, Carla, this is the celebrity that called in last week, you know, I left a bunch of voicemails. So now you have to have me on your show. Well, I'm calling because you're really going to want to have me on your show now. I've found out the Maddits and O.E. John Melendez and Shane that's all got on a Discord server and they were talking about you.
Starting point is 00:32:54 So I just wanted to, you know, call in and give you, oh, hang on a second. I had to call in and tell you about that. It's like calling the old and tell you about that. It's my call for the answer. I know that. You got to the problem. You can call in. But I think it might.
Starting point is 00:33:11 My call is definitely pretty good. Well, you know, I. I don't think he's even telling the truth about that discord server. I don't think so either. I don't think that's true. I was going back and forth with Mike Sappho, he's even telling the truth about that discord server thing. I don't think so either. I don't think that's true. I was going back and forth with Mike Sappho, opi's producer about the whole thing where John said he talked to opi's producer about us. And Mike Sappho, very friendly guy, like this guy a lot, just said, yeah, we told him that
Starting point is 00:33:39 we're just ignoring you. It was like, it was like a text message. That's the right thing to do. Yeah, we're just ignoring you. And then John turns us into. That's the right thing to do. Yeah, we're just ignoring you. And then John turns us into like this whole thing that they had a meeting and they were discussing what they were gonna do and legal actions. It's like, no, John, it's just you.
Starting point is 00:33:55 It's just you doing that. All right, here is a guy who likes the music that Doug White from Watchmen Studios made. Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Who are these podcasts? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Carl, holy shit, dude, that dude who fucking, oh my, you fucking made all that muse, oh that was so good. That was so good. Fuck I'm gonna jerk off the sound of my own voices as I hear this All right call me back. I'm not gonna call you back dude. I don't want to be a part of that Well, Doug those are your fans. Wow guys you jerk off to the center of their own voice I mean, I would like to say for one that I'm impressed. Dog White is... Yeah, I killed it. That was awesome. I'm putting in my resignation.
Starting point is 00:34:47 He can be dug from the Jinguist Department. Is that real? No. You're quitting? You're quitting the show? I'm not quitting the show. Because I mean, that would free up budget. We could use it in other places.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Oh, yes. Well, we all know that you've been throwing checks into my car window, but I want to tap on it. That's the funniest part about that story is it goes, I do you wouldn't take the money, Carl, so I just threw it in your car as you were driving. It's a check. I know. We probably just flitted away. Well, you have to physically take it to a bank or somehow deposit.
Starting point is 00:35:19 It's probably an amount you can't do mobile deposit on. So it's not like it's this thing, it's like, ah, there's nothing I can do. I had to take the money. It's like, no, you had to take the, if you never cash the check, then hope we never gave you money. Anyway, whatever.
Starting point is 00:35:32 It's fine. Carl deserves it. He deserved all the money that he got. So apparently I was taking credit for the fucking with Shamest thing, and it wasn't my idea. Carl, you keep saying that you came up with the idea to leave five stars and then shit on Shamest? Uh, that was a listener. It was actually this listener calling you right now.
Starting point is 00:35:56 In my defense, the five stars and shitty got thing was my idea for our show. So if a wister came up with that, I don't know how creative they were, but all right fair enough I thought I can't put that I guess I was wrong Anyway, I don't know really mad about hey That's bad that's good, you know, you know, you said the opinion of a progressive new male He is what men should be striving to be he's what every woman says they want to man nowadays. A man who doesn't make any money, man who cannot provide for his woman, but the woman provides for her man. Now, I'm wondering how many bulls his wife has,
Starting point is 00:36:35 and if she's looking for more, because I imagine there's a few in the W-A-T-P audience. Now, it definitely fluctuates' wife in front of him. If for no other reason, it's gonna give you a good story. So that's the new challenge. Find his wife in front of him. That got...
Starting point is 00:36:56 That's going to quick, didn't it? This guy's like, I came up with the idea with the five-star thing. I got a new thing. Go have sex with his wife. Like, whoa! That sounds... That's a... Sounds like a problem. That is a big problem. Okay. Again, we Could you release them somehow? Kind of like how you're given away episode A.D.A. with merchandise purchases. Maybe you can include a CD with them with purchases of
Starting point is 00:37:30 isotopes merchandise. I just show it. C.D. better, yeah. Just release them as bonus episodes when you can't do a normal episode. Just add a couple of the newer drops throughout. No one will tell the difference. Perfect. I had to go back and listen to those pilot episodes that Kevin and I did. They were bad. I mean, you gotta start somewhere. We were trying out some bits. It was my fault. Wasn't Kevin. We were trying out some bits where I was like trying to come up with like a number scale for how bad the podcast was. How was that ever going to be funny?
Starting point is 00:38:00 There was just shit that I they were just terrible ideas. It wasn't very good. I don't think the hour put those out It's not fun to listen to I Mean I do have tape of me from when I was tabbing. I know I'm keep waiting for you to play that I should I am gonna play that at some point My brother dug it up found tape of me recording a comedy show and also some of my rap career according a comedy show, and also some of my rap career from my free-fue-backed sit days. Ugh, fuck. I think that the fans deserve to hear it.
Starting point is 00:38:31 I think so too, especially this guy. I'm fucking mother- We missed him. It's been a little while. That makes me laugh every time. I don't know why. Because it's fucking hilarious. And it never gets old. That's fucking hilarious and it never gets old That's why it never ever gets old This is an interesting story from a listener
Starting point is 00:38:52 Hey, let me very briefly recreate this message. I just left to the Supervisor of another division Hey name this is James is my number call me back James. This is my number. Call me back. Again, this is my number. The sound of me putting my phone in my jacket pocket, taking it already hung up, and then go into the restroom and I'm gonna take a piss. And then me realizing I had not hung up yet. Point being, it's a damn good thing I don't shit at work. So this is a guy who pissed out a supervisor's voicemail.
Starting point is 00:39:34 I mean, Opie would call that comedy gold. He would. But... If I were that guy, I'd be pretty humiliated, I think. I just thought that was a funny story. All right, here's a suggestion to listen to Alyssa Milano's podcast. Ha ha, W-A-T-P!
Starting point is 00:39:51 It's going on, Couseroo. Real quick, you gotta check out Alyssa Milano's story, not story podcast. It is the virtue signal of all virtue signals. Do you wanna check it out? There it is, call me back. That sounds terrible. Alyssa Milano is someone I do not want to hear from ever. I don't want to hear her opinions, but that guy is from Canada.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Yeah, you could tell. For sure. Yeah, sorry, sorry, not sorry. Sorry, not sorry. I just thought I was spelled weird. You're right. I have back-to-back voicemails that came in with the same joke, which is interesting. Two different people. Hey Carl, this is Celebrity Chef Carl Ruiz. This is my real voice. This is how I sound.
Starting point is 00:40:36 I just wanted to say that I am really looking forward to making an appearance on WATP next week. I have a lot of information I want to fill on the Clintons. I think it's gonna be great. We'll talk soon. Thanks Cole. So this is actually part of the Clinton body count. Wow. Is why Kyle always died. I mean, died in the sleep at 44. It does seem suspicious. It's too bad. He didn't get that juicy info out of him before he passed away. I should probably alert Sam Tripoli about this. What?
Starting point is 00:41:09 Is that real? Whoa! Hey, girl. This is a follow-up. I think I'm ready to come on the show and talk about the Opie-Foo. So give me a call back. Also I have some information on the Clint so I can talk about that too. Alright, I'll have the guy thing. Isn't that funny? Some guy dies, y'all. I can everyone's just like, oh yeah, the information on the Clint,
Starting point is 00:41:36 and it's my only chance. What does he know about Hillary? Oh man. I love it. I love it, that's a fig, but everybody knows. So this is getting back to Mr. Loaf, was pointing out that I don't talk real good. Hey, I just wanted to point out that it's really incredible that you're in advertising because you really have hard time pronouncing words because now you just came up with a new one with the uh... suntents word as they go along with your uh... exactly you must be incredible in the board board call me back
Starting point is 00:42:20 suntents? what do they say? maybe you meant to say so intense and you said sometimes Possibly I do tend to talk very fast sometimes That's what I should slow your roll. All right That's all we wanted to play we'll be back next week with our regularly scheduled programming We're doing some improv show. It's like a game show with improv sound pretty terrible to me. Yeah, it's gonna be pretty terrible So we'll be back with that next week. Please join us because it might be that we find out what's for all who are these podcasts
Starting point is 00:42:54 Sleep well every pony sleep well and have a little nappy poo Okay great show. Good job, everybody. Great job, everyone. You fucking know all about this shit. Cuts. Cuts a room., cause a row. Yeah!
Starting point is 00:43:30 And so, wait! I'm thinking of it. Wow! Oh! I'm over here! Back to the layout. Oh You know who are these podcasts, I don't know I don't get it makes no sense You know what else I'm gonna miss without Carl being on the show anymore What?
Starting point is 00:44:02 Hope you're doing things like this. Carl, he's got a cushy poo. For some reason, Opie just turned into a child when he was having fun with Carl Ruiz. He's not like that with Vic or Sharad or any of the other guys. So we're gonna miss that. Yeah. The one thing that I'll say that is not funny, but it's very funny.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Someone wrote out the subreddit that Carl's taking a dirt nappy poo. I feel like he would have appreciated the joke. I think so too. I know I did. All right, that's enough. Okay. Okay.
