Who Are These Podcasts? - Ep28 - This Feels Horrible

Episode Date: September 4, 2016

This week on WATP, we tackle a show called This Feels Horrible.  The show is basically about relationships, but more accurately, relationships from a female perspective.  So right off the jump we ar...e put at a disadvantage because we are what some would call, men.  But, rest assured your hosts tackle this show like the all the others and try to find the best stuff we can in the abyss of spoken words.  Karl was basically shot out of a cannon this week with his take on what is right and wrong with the show... more the latter.  Kevin does his best to sympathize with the girls as always but also gets dragged down by the mindlessness of the discussion and his pending trip to IKEA.  So there you have it, it's a rough listen... but aren't they all folks?   Learn more about your ad choices. We have not discussed it with each other beforehand, so without further ad-dee, let's find out
Starting point is 00:00:32 once and for all who all these podcasts. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. I'm gonna go on the other side. W-A-T-P-W-A-T-P everybody in the board and W a T.P. That was a violent one. W a T.P. Actually set up my balls while I say it. W a T.P. Look Kevin what's going on man? Not too much.
Starting point is 00:01:40 You know same old shit. Going to like he had tomorrow. We're gonna make a big day of it. All right. Well, sounds like you got a lot going on Yeah, it's we'll get through this quickly good little good little weekend plan there. Yeah so I Made us listen to a podcast that's fucking I mean this is the most appropriately titled podcast I've ever heard Yeah, this is the most appropriately titled podcast I've ever heard. Yeah. This feels terrible. It not only feels terrible.
Starting point is 00:02:08 It sounds terrible. It's terrible. Yeah. I will agree. Usually I can find some nugget of something to cling on to in these, uh, and by nugget, that's a pretty appropriate term too. Uh, because this one is just, there's nothing redeemable at all in my mind about to and by nugget that's a pretty appropriate term too. Because this one is just, there's nothing redeemable at all in my mind about this podcast.
Starting point is 00:02:30 Did you get through the whole thing? It was a long show. I got through about three quarters of it. And typically what I try to do and have done in the last few shows is when I listen to the playback I will do it in fast forward It's a good idea. So you can kind of get through it a little quicker. However, they talk so quickly on the show And so fast that if you try to enable that it's like chipmunks on speed so it's just totally Incoherent you can't even do that so it's like you have to listen that regular playback which is Whatever I mean fine, but I don't have
Starting point is 00:03:16 My time is precious. I'm buying fucking furniture tomorrow, you know, and I mean I got to buy really nice furniture too I'm gonna buy here. It's half of the line shit. I gotta buy Swedish made furniture tomorrow, right? I have a neat ball there too, buddy. No, I never had the neat balls when I've been there, but treat yourself. Treat yo sales. Yeah. Right. Well, okay. So the reason why I asked you about that and it's fascinating to get a glimpse into your whole world there. Thanks. The reason I asked is because the person who suggested that we listen to this podcast suggested it for the last four minutes of the show,
Starting point is 00:03:52 which is totally different than the rest of the show. Oh. But we can table that for now, because he's like, you gotta listen to this. If you like hearing a girl with body image issues, just crying. You got to hear it. But there's also the part, as he explained,
Starting point is 00:04:09 if you like hearing girls cackling back and forth about their insecurities as if anyone gives a shit, that's the whole part of the podcast that we listen to. Right, right. Because the whole point of this is like a relationship podcast, and there's these two women. One's the host. The other one has her own podcast. And I guess this is some a relationship podcast and there's these two women. One's the host, the other one has her own podcast and I guess is some kind of
Starting point is 00:04:27 elis celebrity actor or something and it's just it's mind blowing to me. In fact, why don't we play a clip that I think sums up the show pretty well. It's one that I call holy fucking shit track nine. I didn't realize until recently that like everybody's talking about like in the zeitgeist or whatever It's like talking about the female gaze and all the stuff in the male gaze and what each one represents and I didn't even realize Oh, maybe we talked about this on our podcast. Oh no, it was a different one I'll talk about male gaze and female gaze all day long. Good. Because I didn't even realize that we live in a world seen through the eyes of men. So when they say gay, they say gay, they say gay.
Starting point is 00:05:15 We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay.
Starting point is 00:05:19 We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. We're gay. Right, right. Don't know about this zeitgeist. The male gay zeitgeist. I'm not in that circle of people I guess I understand that everybody well, no, I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about You just go to automatic like I I want to just not be Confrontation with these poor women mode and you're like yeah, that's fine. That's probably true Yeah, well, I mean that that's me. Yeah, you got to smooth everything over
Starting point is 00:06:02 God for bed everything over. God forbid. Spina Jerk. I got it. I got it. I got it. Tell him it's okay. No, but honestly, I don't know. I don't even know necessarily what the word zeitgeist means. I hear it all the time. I never bothered to look it up. I am an idiot. I guess. So search it on a search engine and get a definition. Yeah, that's too many keystrokes. I don't know. Yeah, the lock word. I got it. I got it. I key it if I can think about it, right?
Starting point is 00:06:29 Understood, dude. I'm going to be like, what's your die right now? Do you have a clip that you thought summed up the show? Yeah, this one is very much indicative of how fast they talk. And then she actually calls herself out on the fact that they're talking a lot. So. Well, I don't want to be a porn star.
Starting point is 00:06:53 And you are. And I'm going to judge you for it. And I go, fuck, that doesn't work. That does not work. Fuck my podcast. I don't want to be you. Yeah, exactly. Why are you you?
Starting point is 00:07:00 I can't do that. And then I was like, oh, and this is a helpful thing for me. I'm talking a lot. Is this OK? Yeah, of course. OK. I'm't do that. And then I was like, I was like, Oh, and this is like a helpful thing for me. I'm talking a lot. Is this okay? Yeah, of course. Okay. I'm just like, gambling. Oh, man. Um, yeah. So that if you could decipher most of that, um, there she was talking there about interviewing people and her interviewing techniques. And if she interviewed a porn star, she didn't want to come at it at the angle like This is bad. There's something But I mean that's what I got out of that if you can get fucking anything out of it So here's what's going on and you're right. They talk very fast and
Starting point is 00:07:38 they're drinking and They talk about how they're drinking beers and it's amazing amazing to me, Kevin, we're seeing a trend. I don't know if it's just coincidental, or if this is what's going on. We did the Drink Drink Drunk podcast. We reviewed cocktails and centires, and this podcast as well, all three of those are women who are drinking while podcasting.
Starting point is 00:08:00 It seems to be disastrous. Yeah. I actually have a clip here that's called this is clearly the wrong answer. I'm love that we're drinking beer. So did I incorporate beer in my podcast? Sure. The cheer she's like sure. I mean I would I would. I would. You should not be drinking out of podcasts there, Alexi, you are awful. And honestly, all these women that we listen to while they're drinking makes the show so much worse. I think I'm going to start, I want people to stop drinking in podcasts. I'm going to start a new organization, a cad app. It's Carl against drinking and podcasting. I'm going gonna get bumper stickers made.
Starting point is 00:08:45 We need to make a build awareness of this. It's a problem. It's a problem in society. Yeah, I mean, and this is coming from, you know, a borderline alcoholic, right? I mean, you need to be in the middle of the line. What are you, what are you,
Starting point is 00:08:58 Kevin, you're full of them today. Yeah, the thing that bothered me, I guess the most, and general manner with with this show is The whole beginning so they do this thing With a lot of podcasts do what where they will pre-record the beginning of the show which kind of sets up You know what they're talking about in the show and so she records the beginning of the show with her boyfriend Who's like Irish or something? Which is fine so she she sets up know, that she's gonna be talking
Starting point is 00:09:28 to this, Alexie, right? Yeah. So she sets that all up and then they go into the interview where she's sitting with her and like the first, God, I don't know, 20 minutes is them just bullshitting with each other and it's not the time I guess I was frustrated because we've listened to so many of these shows now that it's like and all right full you know full disclosure there are some somewhat
Starting point is 00:10:00 celebrities so ones on Nerdist Network and ones on Farrah Audio, so I mean they're on decent networks. I mean obviously Nerdist is huge So whatever their celebrities that I'm using air quotes no one can see right so But I don't It's not interesting. So it's not it's something that these aren't people who are it's the opposite of interesting They're but whore opposite. It's like something that these aren't people who are, it's the opposite of interesting. Right. They're but whole opposite. It's like, I think it's just, you know, this is going to sound so boxy, I guess, but what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:10:34 This is, you know, partially my show too. So I just think everybody thinks they're famous now. So it's like everyone's like, and it's partially due to, to you know the Facebook's and the Twitter's and stuff where everyone is Celebrity everything you say can be viewed by potentially lots of people and it's not the show But I mean, you know, that's the symptom that everyone has or everyone thinks that everything that they say coming out of their mouth is Fascinating so therefore that's been the trend with all these podcasts. I'm sorry to cut you up, but all these podcasts we've been listening to,
Starting point is 00:11:09 and it's what I keep railing on, is these people talk about their personalizes if anybody gives a shit. Yeah, and that's, I think I finally- that finally sunk in for me with this show, because I'm like, what- you know, you and I could have- could have started the show and talked for 20 minutes about how we've known each other and our weekends or whatever the fuck it was going to be. But you and I, let's face it, we're not celebrities, we're not necessarily interesting. Or is that information going to be interesting to anyone else who doesn't know us or to people who fucking do know us?
Starting point is 00:11:43 Honestly, we're trying to do a show. Right. And that's the thing that pisses me off about all these podcasts. You're not just having a conversation with somebody and putting it on the internet. Try to do a fucking show. Right. Anyway, so I agree with you.
Starting point is 00:11:57 The first 20 minutes or so of this podcast was just really boring. I didn't clip a thing from it. In fact, I listened to the whole show all the way through yesterday and then this morning, I just started it to 30 minute mark because that, to me, is where it started to get interesting. Right. I maybe because Aloxie started getting drunk or something, but she has the worst daddy issues of all time.
Starting point is 00:12:20 And really gets into it. She's a fucking awful person, but I have a ton of clips here. So we should probably start plowing through. I want to set it up with my first clip, which is called Setting Up the Daddy Issues. He was a fine art photographer. And he has a lot of beautiful photos. He just came out with a book recently.
Starting point is 00:12:40 And I don't even talk to my dad to me talking about how I like his book, which is legit, because I can't stand my father because he's not nice but uh but and she didn't even ask if this she didn't lead the witness at all on this one this was just like oh yeah you know my dad but alive I can hate him um I'll play another quick clip number three there he's a misogynist I think he's homophobicobic. He's a lot of, you know, I feel like
Starting point is 00:13:06 he's racist. He comes from a different generation where he's like, you're not going to and everything I do and say is wrong. He doesn't like me. He doesn't like you. I'm sorry. I don't like you. Eat it. Yeah, I'm kind of with her dad on this one. Like, you're pretty unlikable there, Lexi. So then she talks about how she has to, I'll let the clip speak for herself. Play track too. I have to cut my dad out of my life in order to have like a chance at having a healthy relationship with the guy. So she says that and then later on in the podcast, listen to this. It's very eye opening play track 13. Actually, I went on a date with a guy with a cleft palate and I never, I kept saying,
Starting point is 00:13:58 God, you really remind me of my dad. You remind me of my dad. And then he came back to my house. There's a photo of my, it's weird that there's like a photo of my dad on the wall And they like inspected the photo of my father on my wall, and then we both just insane me say anything I have the exact same clip and it ends right at the dumb noise too. Like Scooby Doo started raping our rap. Oh, like he... I like out on those scams, I think you're rapin' a laxie.
Starting point is 00:14:33 But I thought that was odd, she hates her father. I have a few more clips talking about this. Really just can't stand But she did the the setup to that clip was she dates guys that are like her father of course classic daddy is you shit And she's a picture of her dad in her fucking apartment on the wall if you hate the guy so much, what is that all about? Yeah, that seems a little I don't know I mean I like my parents, but I'm putting up He goes to death metal before I put him a picture of those two old oh geez this is the podcast that you tell your don't listen to this one it's a it's horrible mostly because I think my house They know I like it goes to death metal board.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Yeah, I don't it does go into a lot of the daddy issue stuff and I mean obviously you know this is the female perspective on dating so Right, you know if you and I were talking about would be talking about mommy issues I have no idea. That's not even a thing is it. Oh Oh, it's not. Guys don't have all these fucking things. And these women, you know, they actually admit this. They're inventing all this shit themselves. They're making this stuff up in their head. Real quick while we're talking about the daddy issue shit. I have a clip on here. Number five is called. There's a lot of finger pointing going on. And my dad is just so angry and everything and just he's just I can't even explain it. I just can't the things that you tell me when I was
Starting point is 00:16:11 growing up like about my mom and he's just not healthy. Yeah. And Kevin, I'm going to say something here that's very poignant. When you're pointing your finger, there's three fingers pointing back at you. Oh, yeah. Think about that, Loxie. when you're pointing your finger. There's three fingers pointing back at you Yeah, think about that. Loxie. Maybe you're the one who's a little angry That's deep. What about the thumb though? The thumb could be in the air could be pointing up to God. I don't know. I don't know where the thumb goes in your ass in your butt Oh my god, I wish you'd shove her thumb in her mouth.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Asked a mouth? Wow, I'm getting away out of the socket. Through the top. Get away, way out of the socket. No, and this this chick is fucking awful. I wouldn't I wouldn't fuck her with Owen Wilson's face. Oh my god. She is awful. I did look them up. I do recognize both of them actually from my, especially Alexi, because they say at one point that she's an actress and I did look her up at night. I'm like, I've seen this this girl before. But I digress. Let's see. I got, while I did the Cluff Palette guy one, here's a quick little clip that
Starting point is 00:17:28 really, really shows you exactly what you're dealing with when you listen to the show. That's so white girl LA, but whatever I am, a white girl in LA, how dare you? Yes, you are. This is very much LA, I don't know, style issues to me, from a few malperspective living in LA and and being quote unquote famous and dating that's kind of what sums up the entire entirety of this show I think. Yeah there's a lot of just self-loathing that's going on you could tell in that clip, it's like, oh, I'm whining like a fucking privileged bitch.
Starting point is 00:18:09 It's like, yep, nailed it. I actually pulled the same clip, but I had it backed up just a little bit because it starts with something else. Let me track four. My therapist is, that's so white girl LA, but whatever I am, a white in LA. How dare you? All right, so I took that clip and I have a track out here that's called
Starting point is 00:18:35 Two weeks in a row and my songs are not good This is another Epic fail of me trying to make a song You know I'm the back of last week's show where I had some epic fails. Let's play that um... you know and i'm not a back of last week's show where i had some epic fails uh... let's play that my therapist my therapist my therapist I'm sorry dude, that riff makes you want to punch babies.
Starting point is 00:19:19 And I'm not even just talking about human babies. I will punch kittens, I will punch puppies to the grand that run. Shrutt it. Yeah, that every time you tack that on, I'm like, oh man, I got to fucking start listening to more of them. I'm not. That's so great.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Yeah. Anyway, so that was my attempt at making a shittyager. I just keep cracking those fucking doosies out for some reason. Oh boy. I just heard him say. OK, so she talks about her dad, and she talks about her daddy issues, and all the shit with dating guys. And then Aaron, the host, asked possibly the dumbest question possible.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Track 12. Did you realize early on the relationship the host as possibly the dumbest question possible. Track 12. Did you realize early on that your relationship with your dad affected your relationship with men? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. After spending 15 minutes talking about it.
Starting point is 00:20:18 That's all they're talking about. Is this fucking part like women are not good lesseners. But Jesus Christ did hear anything she had to say? So this, this, um, Lexi chick is into self-help books. And she's been, she's been listening or reading the self-help books. And I have a couple of clips. Number 11, she's explaining what the self-help book has taught her. play that.
Starting point is 00:20:46 And it's just all about the voices in your head that you have to recognize that are like not really what's what's happening. Mm-hmm. Like I could leave here and be like, what did it mean when Aaron looked at me that way? Oh my god. Like the chair thing the pen. Does she think I can't see. She hates me.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Oh my god. And it's like, no, we're doing this podcast. This is what's happening. It's none of my business. What you're thinking blah blah blah. Yakiti's Mac. Yeah, okay. She needed to read a book to tell her that She's making shit up at her head and by the way Aaron does hate you Lexi. There's no way she doesn't you're fucking awful I just thought that was interesting and then
Starting point is 00:21:21 Way later out of the show they go back to talking about self-help books and play track 23. You have to ask yourself if something is true or not. It's like if he texts me, that's and if he says goodbye to me and there's smiling, that's what's happening. Not you know, and if advice are going, oh my god, he wants me out of here. He doesn't like me. He's not into this. What it like, this book makes you go But is that true? Can you honestly tell you're like is that true and So you have to it makes you look at the thoughts you're having and Examining them and realizing that they're only thoughts that they are in fact not true. Yeah Kevin, I think you and I could write self-help books. Uh, made up shit is made up.
Starting point is 00:22:05 The ad. Chapter two. Chapter two, you're a fucking idiot. This whole inner dialogue thing that this woman keeps talking about, I don't understand it. I don't know if it's her specifically, but she keeps saying, oh, we're all like this. It's very bizarre to me.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Yeah, I actually relate to, I mean, the voices in the head there. I mean, that's, I've, you know, I've talked about it before, I've been in therapy for shit tons of years. And it's mostly this stuff. It's mostly like this weird voice that tells me, you know, shit in my head that, you know, it's like, fucking kill, kill, kill. And stuff like that or I'm glad you
Starting point is 00:22:47 live in Tucson what the fuck you know sometimes it's like yeah you should you should totally steal that steal that car sometimes I don't tell me that I don't believe that for a second I think the voice you had just said shit like go back to bat yeah that too retired That's like we've got Ikea tomorrow. Get some sleep. Get some sleep. But not I mean with a voice your head should be saying is don't tweet that joke. It's not very funny. Yeah believe me. my my inner voice has been saying that for a long time no yeah no I but I do kind of relate a little bit to like you know over reading situations like social situations and thinking that you know people dislike you and then you have to overcompensate
Starting point is 00:23:40 to make people like you and I know this isn't something that you deal with because I know that you're and I've known you for a long time. You're just kind of like I don't give a fuck but I overanalyze that shit and I'm like oh boy you know I know you I know you do and I understand that people are like that but this woman is straight up crazy and I actually have a clip that's called this woman is straight up crazy. Track 15. So my head, I'm like, oh my god. Why are we not having sex right now? Oh my god, he wants to get out of here. Men hate women. I'm in his way. He wants me gone. He was just liking me. I was already putting my bra on. I know it's cool. I'm a cool girl. I know you want to be out of here. Like, have you ever had these voices before? Yeah. We good.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Good. Yeah. before. Yeah. We can. Yeah. Um. So this is a whole story she's telling about the guy she's currently dating and the guy's going on this 12-day trip. And I, if I have any advice because I guess she's still dating this guy, fucking run. You need to run as far away from this chick as you possibly can. Play track 18. And then he lands. He lands in New York. And I don't get it. I don't get a text at the airport when he's about to take off.
Starting point is 00:24:58 I don't get a text when he lands. He doesn't text me when he's about to leave, which is something I'm used to from guys. He didn't text me when he landed. Three leave, which is something I'm used to from guys. He didn't text me when he landed. Three hours after he landed, he sends me a Snapchat. By then, I am a livid. So here's my question. What did women do before texting?
Starting point is 00:25:17 Right. This is the end. And I don't want to be the cliche like guys are like this girls like that. But fucking dummy, why do you think that that's all that we're concerned about? I don't want to be the cliche like guys are like this girls like that, but Fucking dummy Why do you think that that's all that we're concerned and consumed with as I better? You know you just saw someone you're getting on an airplane I never think like I better text my wife and tell her I'm getting on a fucking airplane She knows I'm gonna figure it out. I'll get through the day. I don't know. It's just this whole inner dialogue that she has is
Starting point is 00:25:44 Crazy and we all know chicks like this They're a fucking problem. They make up they make up issues that don't exist and then start fighting with you And those are the people you need to run from We all know people like this and even guys like this that are hosts of podcasts that are hosts of podcasts. Yeah. But I also have a clip and she talked and talked and talked and talked. I mean, the host of the show didn't get a chance to get a lot of words in. But this is a clip that I call Alexi Wasser is just the worst person.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Track 14. No, I always choose nice guys. That's good. I always choose nice guys. But's good. I always choose nice guys But then I test them test them and exhaust them and then when they and I I used to do this thing where I'd be like We should just end it. We're breaking up with you We're done and then at the beginning of the relationship that guy would be like no, I love you No, don't do it and then finally they get to the point where they'd be like okay like we're done here
Starting point is 00:26:44 so and then finally they get to the point where they be like, okay, like we're done here. Like, so. What an asshole. I should have put in, I should have put in Lou Graham singing Hadgain. It's like, that's all she's doing with her life is just fucking with people. I don't understand. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:04 It doesn't make any sense to me. I always think it's funny when you call anyone calls a woman an asshole. She's an asshole. Hey, you know what? I heard my inner voice talking about yesterday. It was that it was like you should eat some cheeseburgers. And then, and then it like later on it was like, but no, we want pizza. Pizza is the better choice. Those are the types of thoughts. My inner voice yesterday was like, tacos are delicious.
Starting point is 00:27:38 It's like a pretty smart inner voice going on. Yeah, I guess so. Mine does not make good choices for me Apparently it just wants me to eat pizza and and birders all the time But and I listen to it all the time I take its advice seriously Tomorrow to be like we need dish towels by dish towels and Ikea Just gonna tell me Carl said to have a meatball.
Starting point is 00:28:06 I remember I'm saying that yesterday I have the podcast to have a Swedish meatball. I should do that. Is this turning into like a gym gath again bit? Now what are we doing? I don't know what we're doing. I don't know what we're doing. Everyone's unsubscribing from our show.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Don't click the unsubscribe button. I hope we don't get more negative reviews now. I'm pretty positive we will. We'll be- Our inner voice is our head to cover. Yeah, it's a telepathic link that we have going on. Yeah, it's a telepathic link that we have going on Yeah, so
Starting point is 00:28:52 These women just get together and just have a conversation. I had One on here clip that I call no shit track 16 By the way, this is exactly what I'd be talking about with you over a beer without the microphone I just really really need to tell you like this journey. I went on. Yeah, yeah. Yep. And that should not be a show then. There for exactly that's what they would be talking about. They're out having a beer. Then keep that shit in that environment because that's where that belongs. And by the way, if you did have this conversation over a beer,
Starting point is 00:29:20 I would hope that Aaron would no longer be a friend anymore because you're a shitty fucking person. You're not interesting in any way. What I find fascinating about these podcasts whenever we listen to these, especially the ones that are hosted by women, I go and look them up on either their wiki page or whatever they have out there. They're always describe themselves as comedians. You notice that? Yeah, I mean, I don't know if it's legit or not. I've looked at both of them. It's not. Kevin, it's not. There's nothing funny going on. They're not comedians. They don't tell anybody jokes. Well, I think like this podcast to me, it just feels like, it almost feels like I'm
Starting point is 00:30:04 a fly on the wall wall like listening to the conversation however Um after I've jumped off the wall with my fly body. I land on a giant pile of poopy I actually shoved the poopy in my ears so I can stop Yeah, they say your flies have like their life is whatever, like a couple of days long or whatever that's like their entire life. This, we just shortened any flies life.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Yeah, the flies are committing suicide. No, but the reason why I say that is because I've listened to a lot of talk radio, a lot of podcasts, and when comedians get together and have a conversation, it's funny. They're just funny people. They don't get all serious and but her and self-loathing. They might feel that way, but they tell jokes. And these people, there's nothing funny going at it all.
Starting point is 00:31:02 It's just a lot of fucking woe is me bullshit Okay, all right, I take that all back there was one part that was really funny play track six My mom tried to get joined custody of me and my dad would just say like if you live with your mother a Mexican man will climb into the window and stick it whatever in your pussy like all these crazy Climbing the window and stick it whatever in your pussy like all these crazy Her dance sounds awesome. I don't she doesn't like it, but I want to hang out with this dude He's like if you live with your mouth a Mexican guy's gonna stick his whatever in your pussy That's an awesome conversation Oh my god, what the fuck
Starting point is 00:31:44 Yeah, it was fun. Oh that one that one was the funniest joke in the whole show And then there's and then there's track 17. I I feel like this is a self-fulfilling prophecy and I overshare with these people of no idea and then all of a sudden I get all their bullshit commentary that I shouldn't invite them in on What you're doing on this podcast right now, whatever, with more strangers like Kevin and Carl. Okay, they just crashed into a tree. Yeah, you set yourself up for this one, Alexi.
Starting point is 00:32:17 You did put it all out there. Maybe slow down the beers next time. All right, so then we learned that, because this woman has her own podcast, which I can only imagine is completely unlistenable. And not even her current boyfriend wants to listen to this dummy talk, play 19. I can never list those podcasts.
Starting point is 00:32:41 I'm like, I will blast it out on all social media, but he's not even listening to my podcast anymore. Yeah no shit he probably hears you talk enough. I can only imagine what this woman's like in a party. I guess the other thing that kind of bugs me too, excuse me, is that it seems like a lot of these shows that we review, and maybe it's especially the ones with women and stuff, but a lot of them are on major podcast networks. And I just don't, I don't get where, I don't know, it's almost like if you live in LA and you are a quote-unquote comedian, you have a podcast on one of the major like Nerdist or networks or whatever. It's like everybody has a show like on these major fucking platforms. I don't get it.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Yeah, it's funny. You say that because I was doing some Google searching on the host, Aaron McGath, who is Dan Harmon's ex-wife. Oh, okay. So she's famous because she was on Harmon Town, I think that he put her on community and whatever. But it's funny you say that because I found a picture of her with the host from Totally Lame, which is one of the first shows that we did. And it was the same kind of thing where you have this woman who's not funny or interesting,
Starting point is 00:34:08 but she actually has real comedians and celebrities on her podcast. It's like, there is this whole network of people out in LA that make terrible shows that are on decent networks. It just proves that podcasting is just too easy right now. There needs to be something so that I don't know, that whole Kevin Smith thing. Like, can we please have some type of floor for podcasting? You have to be a little bit better than something in order for people to find your show. I don't know. Yeah, no, I mean, I'm sure a boy that makes it.
Starting point is 00:34:44 I think I lost myself there. No, I hear it. It's like, there needs to be. Shitty shows. Yeah, there needs to be some quality control. But I mean, no one is post self-policy. No one is self-policy themselves. So everyone thinks that everything that comes out of their mouth is completely entertaining. And then therefore needs to be put into the airwaves forever. So all right, let's get back, let's get back to the podcast. Because I still have a bunch more clips,
Starting point is 00:35:09 and I do want to get through these. I have a track on here that's called Proof that Guys Are Alleyers, Track 20. He listened to like six of my podcasts before he met me like, and oh, yeah, so that was so he was already like, that's nice. I think I was like, before we'd ever met, and then he continued to listen,
Starting point is 00:35:28 because he said he liked it, and he would listen if we never spoke again. Like, mm-hmm, but that's cool. There's no way this guy was listening to our show because he liked it. Yeah, that's a classic. That's a classic, I really wanna bang this girl. Exactly. That's exactly what. That's a classic. I really want to bang this girl. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:35:45 I'm excited. And then I have this track where it's kind of embarrassing, but she talks like a little kid. She's excited that he likes her voice, track 21. He likes my voice, listening to talk about things. Talk about things. Talk about things. He's fucking guy. That's fucking amazing. So this woman goes on and on about how she's addicted to people and
Starting point is 00:36:35 treat people like crap. It's all her dad's fault. She's got all these fucking issues. And finally, finally, the host has had enough. Play track 24. Where I'm like, is he attracted to me now? Is he gonna look at me from a different angle and five minutes and decide like he's not attracted to me and he just respects me and likes me as a person? Like, it's just exhausting, isn't it? I know, just saying. Ah, this is what podcast before, right?
Starting point is 00:37:01 No, this is not what podcasts are for. A podcast should be a show, not your shitty inner voice talking about how fucking mentally, how mentally you are. I don't know. It's a divinely wrathed inner voice just goes, ah, yeah. Whispering. Yeah, it's whispering screams into his ear. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:37:29 If I could be in DLR's head, I would pay any amount of money to know what the fuck that guy said. All right, so I have a track on here that actually works pretty well as an ISO. Play track 25. Hey, everybody hates me. And what does it all mean? Oh my god, I'm ugly. I'm weird. It seems to me like you're an expert. Tommy was so aggrieved. You are a real dog. The expert. What I thought was interesting
Starting point is 00:38:00 is that you have these two spoiled dummies who are the opposite of self-aware. And then this comes out of their stupid pie holes, played track 26. We're self-aware girls. Excuse me. You are the opposite of self-aware girls, you fucking retards. If you were self-aware at all, you would have shut your mouths at about the 12 minute mark Well, that's when they were still in talking about a gems like this one that I clipped
Starting point is 00:38:34 It was great. I went from 40,000 emails in my inbox to seven to seven mm-hmm riveting That's some of the amazing. Riveting discussion in the first 20 minutes of the show. It reminds me of drink, drink, drunk, when they were talking about typing emails at work. And then I put bullet points in. It's like, Jesus fucking Christ. Why, how would anyone find this interesting?
Starting point is 00:38:59 Well, apparently your boyfriend does, or boyfriend listens to it. He loves her voice. He loves her voice. Yeah. There was a part in here. So she's from Hollywood originally. And there, yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:39:16 There's a part where she is just a name, drop in B.O.T. I put together a little montage. Roman Plancy, John Readers, Kiz and Margaret Margaret's house and Humphrey Bogart's old house. Roman Plansky will smist Tatum O'Neill, Roseanne Bar, Michael Landon, Will Smith's wedding. Well, those are all horrible. I know gives a shit.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Jesus. She was very fucking proud of herself. And then just to get out of the way, I have another great ISO. If you wanna play that one. Weird rape, like things. And weird rape, um, is that like the Mexican who's putting his whatever in your pussy?
Starting point is 00:39:56 Is that a weird rape, um thing? Is whatever. Is whatever. He's still, I wanted to know what it is. Is it a finger? Is it a mustache? What's he gonna put in her pussy? It's pretty clearly a churro. I think that's what effort. He's still I wanted to know what it is. Is it a finger? Is it a mustache? I think it's a footer pussy It's pretty clearly a chiro. I think that's I think that's what she was in flying. Yeah
Starting point is 00:40:12 That's pretty racist summer. I don't call it sugar walls for nothing All right, so At the very end of the podcast They you as you would mention, they play the interview, and then they kind of, they cut away from it, you know, in the beginning, they set it up, they play the interview, and then they cut away, and they do some advertisements, and they come back,
Starting point is 00:40:34 and then they cut away again at the end. And the host, Aaron McGathey, says, alright, what I'm going to play for you guys now is from my audio diary, and she goes, this was I was going through a tough period. And I'd moved to Ireland. I just got divorced. I moved to Ireland. And I was going on my first date the next day. And I was, I was having a tough go at it. So for some reason, a, she keeps an audio diary of this nonsense. And then B feels like she should put it out there on her podcast for people to hear.
Starting point is 00:41:05 So while this might seem like I'm being a little bit of a bully, remember I'm not breaking it anyone's room and grabbing their diary from them. They're putting it out there for people to listen to as if this were fucking interesting for anyone. So I play this clip because she is crying and having lots of body image issues, but because Kevin, you know me, I like to keep things light. I like happiness and fun. I tried to make it a little bit wider than the content actually was. Play Track 27. I got, I hope there's fucking fart noises in this.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Shit. Wait, let me go back and in this. Ha ha ha! Shit, wait! I only go back and re-out of it! There we go. And I got this fake tent today that's made me look terrible. And I guess I'm talking because I want to work through how I'm feeling. And I always, oh, body is blue! Which I guess is funny but it's terrible. My body is blue. I have dyed my body blue.
Starting point is 00:42:16 And I want to be sexy and I've I bought it blue. I don't want... I don't want them to think I'm gross. And I don't want to be insecure. And I want to have it as time. It was me, Dawn. And I know they heard me blue. It was me don't Holy shit, man, that's why that's why the guy set this podcast and he's like this is Unbelievable just hearing this this woman cry about her body and she's like holy shit
Starting point is 00:43:01 What the hell died her blue? She tried to do like a fake spray tan or something. I don't know, dude. I do, I don't know. She's a, she's a gingery bitch. So I don't know what they're, I don't know what their skin does but it's exposed to elements. Oh my god. I'm auditioning for the Blue Man Group. Do you have any other clips that you wanted to play from the show?
Starting point is 00:43:30 No, no. I'm all done. I just have a couple more. I have one that's called Super Awkward Part. Play Track 8. Oh, we're going to say. No, I'm just listening to it. I'm sorry. Oh no, we're gonna say. No, I'm just listening to it. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Oh no, it's okay. Oh no, I'm not asking for sympathy, but I'm really sorry. Oh, it's okay. And the show has reached a new low. And he's talking about her daddy issues for 20 minutes. Finally, the other one was like, look, I'm really sorry. It's like a buff already. Holy shit. I'm so sorry for that.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Let's listen to my audio diary when I talk about being a... I'm going to start trying my audio diary from last year. It's like a lot. And then I just have one last clip to play. And I call it, this dummies version of making a poignant statement trekton And that's his own I feel sorry for him because he like anyway, but so now I don't know. It's just interesting how it's like oh wow like
Starting point is 00:44:36 my father and a lot of and Metman we walk past on the street or when you're like It's just it's so shocking and interesting to realize like, oh wow. Holy shit, she used a lot of words to say, I'm nothing. Wow.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Like you said, like an E-list celebrity we're talking about here like, whoa, shit. So that was not fun at all. And I, I'm sorry that we had a listen to that show because that was a lot of nonsense. Yeah. I'm taking things in a whole other direction for us next week, Kevin.
Starting point is 00:45:18 I've been getting multiple people telling me that I have to listen to this podcast. You might already be in on it. So what's play next week's teaser so the people understand what we're going to be reviewing next week? She sat down again and crossed her long legs. She knew they looked good, but she really felt she wanted to keep her private pussy area hidden. I'm sorry, what? What's a public pussy area? And also what's an area? How area? How much land does that cover?
Starting point is 00:45:46 A private pussy area? That could be from me to hip. What the fuck is this? Okay, so I wasn't sure if you're going to know this or not. It's called my dad wrote a porno. Oh, I've heard of this. You have you heard of this? Yeah, I've had multiple people tell me, I gotta listen to this.
Starting point is 00:46:03 My wife likes it so much that she actually bought the book that they're reading on the show. The premise is, this guy's dad wrote like this erotic novel and recently, like after 50 shades of gray, it was out and everything. He wrote this novel and this guy discovered this novel, this dad wrote and thought it was so funny that he got a couple of buddies together and they just read the book.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Oh, okay. They just go chapter by chapter and read through the book and everyone's saying that it's really funny. So next week we're going to listen to a show that's actually fun and funny. And it might be one of the hardest things that we have to do is reviewing it, but we'll find out. And you should join us because it might be it, but we'll find out. And you should join us because it might be the show where we actually find out once and for all who are these podcasts.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Sleep well, every pony.mememe me me me me me me me
Starting point is 00:47:20 me me mememe I don't know. I don't know.
