Starting point is 00:00:21 Cheers, mates. Welcome to Who New with Matt Stewart, the show where the guest write the wrong answers. I'm the titular Matt Stewart and our first guest is host of the book cheat and do go on podcast. It's Dave Warnocky. Hello, great to be here. Thank you so much. Appreciate you. Our next guest is host of Jackson Bailey Spooks America amongst maybe 17 other podcasts.
Starting point is 00:00:50 It's Jackson Bailey. Hey. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, my God. And finally, we have host of the How Goods Footy podcast amongst, what, maybe 19 or 20 other podcast. It's Joel Dusha.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Thanks so much for having me. Now, am I right saying all three of you are about to be heading overseas on tours? Or maybe you are currently doing that? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we're all, at least me and Jackson are currently in the UK. When you're listening to this, we're in merry old England town. Unless for some reason you're a bad listener of who knew it with Matt Stewart and you didn't listen the week it came out, in which case we're back in Melbourne.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Yeah, exactly, exactly. But, hey, this episode is coming out this week when you're hearing it. This episode comes out when you hear it. And when you hear it, we're in the UK. In fact, tonight we're doing a show in Birmingham. Then we've got a Cardiff show, a Bristol show that one sold out. Don't worry about that one. And then on the 10th and the 11th of September,
Starting point is 00:01:47 we're doing back-to-back live shows in London. Please. Holy moly, that's exciting. If you like our podcast or even if you like this podcast and then this, you know. If you're a big who knew it with Matt Stewart guy, you can get close to seeing who knew it with Matt Stewart live. by seeing us live because we are guesting on who knew it.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Come to show, hang out, ask his questions about Matt, ask, we'll reveal background secrets. Yeah. Is it real? Yes. Is it stressful to do? Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Is it a good time though? Yes. Dave, is that true that you're going to another continent? Yeah, I thought, I can't be near these guys. Fair enough. I can't be in the UK. The UK's only big enough.
Starting point is 00:02:30 People don't know this, but we're feuding. Yeah. And I want everyone to come, not to the UK. If you're in London, Lee. Come to Canada. But you'll be there too, Matt. The proper Britain, British Columbia. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:02:44 London, Ontario. Oh, my God. Thank you so much. We won't be there to be. We will not be there. We'll be in Vancouver. Calgary, Calgary, Montreal and Toronto. And afterwards, I will also be revealing Matt's secrets in front of him.
Starting point is 00:02:58 And he'll be saying, shut the fuck. What are you doing? Dave, is it stressful? It is so stressful. So please come along. That's between the 12th of September and the 20th of September. That's right. What a week of fun.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Me and Alice said Trumbly Birchler, maybe Dave are also doing stand-up shows and all those cities as well. At that same time. Yes. It was a wild coincidence, but it just happened that way. Wow. That's crazy. We're so lucky.
Starting point is 00:03:25 We're so lucky. It saved us a lot of flying. Yeah, I can imagine. So your tickets, I'm guessing, are at do go on.com. Do go on pod. dot com. Yeah, someone else got dogo on
Starting point is 00:03:34 maybe or maybe no, I don't, yeah, I've got dogo on maybe dot com I will pay you for it. Yeah, do go on pod.com all the,
Starting point is 00:03:42 all the tickets to the standup and the, and the podcasts. And spansradio.com forward slash events. Or sanspensradio. com and they just click events.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Yeah, it's all, yeah, there's multiple ways. We were lucky. We got San Spence Radio. I don't know about sanspensradio maybe. I got that.
Starting point is 00:03:57 I got that. I got that. We'll pay you for it. We'll do a trade. Yeah, we'll sort this out. And one other thing, Dave just recorded with these two fine young gentlemen. So it would have been out a couple of weeks ago, probably.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Last week. Last week we did a book cheats, which is the show where I read the books that you don't have to. And I told them all about the seminal vampire zombie classic, I Am Legend. Oh, not Abraham, Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. That's next week. Yes, there was a heater of an episode. Very good. Man, it'd be right up.
Starting point is 00:04:29 They're my favorite podcast. Yeah. Oh, it's good. Dude, every time I get an invite, I'm always so excited. Yeah. You know?
Starting point is 00:04:34 I like listening to it from inside and outside the podcast. Yeah, yeah. All right, so the way this show works is ask a relatively obscure trivia question and our contestants
Starting point is 00:04:45 have to write a convincing fake answer. I then read their answers as well as a real one and they have to guess which one is correct. And the first question comes from multiple listeners. Lisa Monaghan from Wexford, which apparently is the home. of the Guinness Book of World Records, Dave.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Whoa. Only Dave, you tell him? He's, wow, I don't know. Disregard. Disregard. Not for you. I know, that's fun.
Starting point is 00:05:08 I just know Dave loves world records. We don't seem like world record guys. We love the world records. True. You probably have. A long fingernails or a horn? Shane, Shane Gillis just won a Guinness World.
Starting point is 00:05:21 He's basically a coworker of ours. He's a podcaster. Why don't he win? Our biggest attendance at a comedy show. Wow. 77,000. I sort of, is it Wrigley Stadium? Wrigley Field, the baseball.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Really? So if enough people come to London or Canada, we could beat that. Yeah, exactly. Cop that shame. Cop that shame. Also, Paul McNally from Waterford in Ireland and Michael Nielsen from Signet in Tasmania.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Okay. And it's an Irish language question. Yeah, the home of the power bank. Home of batteries. Question is, in the Irish language, What does smugglerone mean? Smugglerone. So I want you to translate what it means literally
Starting point is 00:06:06 and also what the terms used for. That's confusing, right? So I did write down an example. There was a previous Irish language question which was what does, and I can't remember the pronunciation, Boen D mean. And the literal translation was God's Little Cow, which is their word for lady bird or lady bugs.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Okay, I see. So a literal translation and then what is the thing that it's used for. Okay. I think I went from explaining it badly to explaining it well with an example to then explaining it badly. Okay. So you want the literal translation and then what that means. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Can we get that word one more time? Yeah, yeah. Smugglerone. Okay. And while they're writing their answers, I'll explain how the scoring works. to get one point if your fake answer is guessed by the other contestant and another point if you correctly guess the answer and by the way, I'm also playing as the house
Starting point is 00:07:03 and I've put it into my own fake answers for each question with the help of the question writer and we get a point for each one of those that I guess choose. So each of us conscript to three points per round but yeah, the fact is that apparently the house has an advantage. A mathematician told me that once
Starting point is 00:07:21 maybe three years ago and I just believed it I never questioned it. and to make things fair and in fact to probably put things in the guest's favour, they get triple points in the final round where the house does not. Because I find it a bit odd to invite friends, to play a game and then just win. To trounce them. Yeah. So I try not to.
Starting point is 00:07:44 And so just so everyone knows, when I do win, I really deserve it. Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's just you're that good a player. And I should also say most of our questions. come from our great Patreon supporters if you want to submit a question sign up on any level of our Patreon.com slash do go on pod
Starting point is 00:08:00 linked in the show notes. Also if you've submitted a question and haven't had one read out in a while, DM me, I'll sort you out. It's nothing personal. Get a direct line. Please. Dude, hit you up.
Starting point is 00:08:12 All right, question one. Answers are in. In the Irish language, what does smugglerone mean literally and what does it describe? Option one. So we'll go, I think, literal first and then.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Can you go from best to worst? I'm just now just now have to switch things around a little bit. All right, I think we've got that right. Option one, thieving squirrel used to describe a pick pocket. Disgusting water,
Starting point is 00:08:40 the local word for cola-based drinks. Cuddle muffins term used as the equivalent of comfort food. Seal snot, the Irish term for jellyfish. Little mole of the meat.
Starting point is 00:08:53 a maggot or forbidden string their word for fairy floss or cotton candy Okay Forbidden string I didn't might have forbidden You can't have that You can't be cotton candy I will say
Starting point is 00:09:08 Yeah Congratulations to all of us None of those stood out As the obvious wrong Yes I agree I agree Some you could discount a little more than the others
Starting point is 00:09:18 But pretty much What forbidden string Forbbed Well I don't know Not even Whatever the first was Squirrel and Cuddlemuffin with the two I'm sass on. You're suss on.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Cuddle muffins, because am I going first? You're going first, thank you Dave. Can you read the cuttle muffin one again? Term uses the equivalent of comfort food. Just not you know the phrase comfort food. See,
Starting point is 00:09:38 that you like or dislike? I like. I'm suspicious of it. Because to have a phrase that then includes comfort food as part of its description, which is already a phrase. That's double phrase. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Cuddle muffin to me. trying to do the thing where that's your answer you're going to change last minute and try and trick off into picking it's not going to work. I don't think Dave really plays like that. It's interesting. I literally just say what I think. I like that one. Dave is a real straight shooter in this game.
Starting point is 00:10:06 And he often wins. Yeah. He just uses more. Some people use cunning. He just is like a Boy Scout. What? He's using Nouse. Is that a?
Starting point is 00:10:18 Yeah. How would you describe someone that tries to use cunning and then fails and almost always comes last. Oh, I'd describe him as someone from Sampan. What do you mind if we have just the fray, not the definition? Thieving squirrel, disgusting water,
Starting point is 00:10:34 cut all muffins, seal snot, little mole of the meat, or forbidden string. Look, just to spot these guys, I'm going for cutter muffins. We're rob it off on you.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Pick it's up in a spite. That's all over it. I'm going to go, The dirty water for Coke. That's, that's, that's, that's, that's my pick. Locked in. And do shit. I want to get a Cottle muffin as well.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Oh my God, my plan worked. And Dave, now you want to change it as well. Actually. I'll change to a less insane answer. That's interesting. I don't know what. What's his strategy? He doesn't have one.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Come on. I got strategies. All right. Here's her at the answers. Uh, little mole of the meat. That was Jackson. Hmm. It was so out there it was tempting.
Starting point is 00:11:23 It was a little mold of them. Honestly, you've been poking a head out. I can say that. Yeah, exactly. You can see it. You can go, oh, you know. The only reason I didn't pick that one straight off the bat is because it had the word little, which I had to delete from my answer because I realized I'd latched onto it because the example, Matt Gay had little in it. I was interesting.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I was interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So he plays the game more than you think. Yeah. Well done.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Um, all right. What else do we have? Thieving squirrel. That was doucheer. Okay. Nice. Nice. I'd flow into the radar and off.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. I think they were all good answers. Yeah, yeah, not a bad one amongst them. Forbidden string. That was the house. Lisa had written, because they all had written a question slightly differently. Yeah, yeah. And I sort of took one of Lisa's fake answers, which was, hang on.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Well, this is hidden string. Okay. Hidden sting. Whoa. Oh. So together, we combine. Beautiful. Hidden, forbidden.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Yeah. What's a hidden sting? Oh my gosh. Was hidden sting for fairy floss? Is that what you're telling me? No. No, it'll make sense in a second. Cuddle muffins.
Starting point is 00:12:35 I'm afraid that was Michael in the house. You love Michael. That's good stuff. I knew it. Jackson went for disgusting water. That was Dave. Damn it. Sorry, man.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Meaning the correct answer is seal snot. Jellyfish. Damn. That was my. my second choice. So that's, yeah, no points for second choice.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Yeah, one and a half a point for Jackson for, for saying after the fight find out of the line. That was also my second choice too. Yeah, probably JD's too, I would imagine. I reckon if you want to give Jackson half a point,
Starting point is 00:13:05 maybe take half a Dave's point and give it to Jackson. Yeah. Because, yeah, Michael, Paul and Lisa all had, uh, they had some different versions of what the literal jellyfish
Starting point is 00:13:17 now and I just made it a bit broader, but they had hidden sting, fish with a nose. Slippery cow, Cattle muffins. That's where I sort of took that and changed it. And maybe the best one, Grandma's bosom.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Oh, that's very good. I'm glad that that wasn't there. That would have been an immediate trap for me. Is it too late to lock in Grandma's bosom? Can we give the whole point to Grandma's bosom? Yeah. The house has earned it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Grandmas bosom after one round is. All right, question. So that means, what does that mean? in the house gets two points and Dave gets one point. Question two comes from Stephen Anderson from Ghent in Belgium with the question, what is the name of the species of dinosaur that lived in the Maastricht formation in the Netherlands? Okay. It's like obviously discovered more unnamed modern times.
Starting point is 00:14:15 What do they call this? They didn't name themselves. Well, they probably did, to be honest. But unfortunately, the dinosaurs were not a written history. They were an oral history. Gotcha. Great. So we've lost some good stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:30 We've lost some great stuff. But you don't want a scientific name, you would want like that label. No, it want the common name. And where were they located, sorry? The Netherlands. Wait, the common name, not the scientific name? Yeah. The common name.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Okay. I mean, what? I think that they really mix up together, I think, in dinosaurs. was probably more than other animals. Like Tyrannosaurus Rex is the scientific and common name, you'd think, right? I couldn't say. I believe in you. That's what I'm going to say.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Okay. And while you're writing around, here's some more info on the jellyfish. It's funny. Lisa DM me on Patreon recently suggesting it for the second time. And I'm like, I really find it off-putting. I find it so disgusting.
Starting point is 00:15:18 disgusting. I've seen it in there and multiple people have suggested. I'm like, I really don't want to, but you've been, you know, you've been at it. Well done. I'm going to have to use it. Anyway, Paul writes some other funny Irish to English translations. The translation of the word rat means a Frenchman. The translation of the word pink is red white, which I think is fantastic. And the word, the translation of the word for bra means boob parcel. That's good stuff. One of the best parcels to unwrath. Oh yeah, dude. The postman brings you a boob parcel. Christmas morning. Oh my God. Thank you, Santa.
Starting point is 00:15:56 And thank you the postman. You unwrap your boob pass on its lump of cold. Same shape. And Lisa writes, Otter is Madra Usi, which translates to water dog. How cute. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 00:16:11 And the Irish word for accountant of which I am one is Ketasol. Oh, goodness. And Lisa says, I'll leave it up to you how you want to present that information. Well, I want to present it word for word, Lisa. Yeah, that's beautiful. Thanks, Lisa.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Thanks, Lisa. Thanks for that. And I can't believe you said that. All right, the answers are in for question number two. What is the name of the species of dinosaurs lived in the Netherlands? In the Maastricht formation to be specific. Clever Clogosaurus. Saturator.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Rhythmic Dong. Okay. Gutensaurus. Mm-hmm. Tubesilius rex or hornosaurus. Okay. Okay. That is such a funny reaction.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Okay. I see what's been done here. I think you can do some eliminating pretty quick. Okay. Okay. Some, not so much. Um, what are you gone first? It's rare.
Starting point is 00:17:14 that we do an episode of Who Knewit with all boys? And I feel like we're already seeing the results. Well, you don't usually get boob parcel riffs? What does Rex mean? King.
Starting point is 00:17:32 I think it's King. Brother, you're asking me the person who's on a podcast with you, which is famously the stupid guy podcast. Yeah, okay, fair enough. I think it's, I think it's Latin for King, yeah. Yeah, because Tyrannosaurus is King of the lizards.
Starting point is 00:17:46 King of the lizards. Okay. Would I be so bold is to ask Matt to say them all again quickly? I think that's a very fair thing. Yeah, now that we stopped laughing. Yeah. Clever clogosaurus,
Starting point is 00:17:56 saturator, rhythmic dong, guttensaurus, two basilius wrecks or hornosaurus. Now, Jackson, you're up first here.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Part of me wants to pick rhythmic dong. Now, part of that is because the rest are just pretty standard dinosaur names? Isn't Rhythmic Dong one of the events at the horny Olympics? Oh, I would love to watch the, to watch your get gold in Rhythmic Dome. I'm more of a fan of artistic Dome. Yes. I just really like, like, okay, we're starting stage two of Rhythmic
Starting point is 00:18:30 Dong and today it's the helicopter. Yeah. There's the resounding broin. No splash. Yeah. Okay. What was the respirator? Is that one? Um, it's the second one, I think. Saturator. Saturida. Rhythmic dong. I'm gonna go rhythmic dong. You just wanted to say dong.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Yeah, but it's the only one that's like a joke. You know? I mean, obviously there's clever clogosaurus, but that seems unlikely. Yeah. Yeah. And the other ones, that's the one more unlikely. You'd say that I'm going to write this into math. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Yeah. I played that game before too. And sometimes people go, it's just an unremarkable answer. And then you overthink that. Yeah. What made you send this to Matt? I let you go crazy. Thanks for wasting our time.
Starting point is 00:19:17 Matt's like, oh, I actually really appreciate it. I got a question and then I got content out of it because it drove you all to madness. Yes, I do think I remember you losing it over someone. Because I was like going through it. I was like, okay, it can't be this one because that is just like a nothing boring answer.
Starting point is 00:19:30 I think it was like a baseball question. You got to throw those in sometimes. You got to keep us on our toes. So you got clever clogosaurus, saturator, rhythmic dong, guttonsaurus, Tobasilius rex hornosaurus douche I'm gonna go hornosaurus
Starting point is 00:19:45 because I think that that's funny enough that you'd write it again I've fallen from Yeah I've explained the trap they've been like Well, I'm not gonna explain myself I just think
Starting point is 00:19:57 When you stand on that The claws slam around your leg And then the hunter can come against you I can picture that dinosaur though It's a stegosaurus Only with horns everywhere You think that there's a This is the dinosaur
Starting point is 00:20:09 or where they name it after his horns. Of all the dinosaurs with horns, this is hornosaurus. I'd like to log in to Clogosaurus rex or whatever it is then. Because this is a protest vote now. Are you sure? Yeah. Who are you protesting against? Jackson.
Starting point is 00:20:26 He's having too good of a time. Fair enough. Take me down. You might have just given him a point, though. What kind of protest is that? He took a shit on that answer just a moment ago. Playing a very clever game. Yeah, it's very good.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Clever clogs over there. A real clever clogs. All right, so you're locked in. I'm worried that tubasilius Rex is like some hilarious Latin joke that Matt's going to be like, hey, reveal. And we go, oh, that is actually pretty funny. I have another theory for that and it will reveal that it's not mine.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Yeah. Which kind of helps you. We were just talking about boob tube. So it seems crazy that the tubosaurus rex is the very next. What's tuba in Latin? Potato. Oh. I think what's the root of tuberculosis?
Starting point is 00:21:12 I mean, I'm seeing it written down. It looks a bit like that as well. Only kind of also quite different. Maybe that is the right one. Now that I've asked, I've heard the spelling is not how I pictured it. No, I'm going to disregard. I'm going to get to the goot.
Starting point is 00:21:25 The goot dinosaur. The goose. I've always been a police academy fan. Is it the Gutenbergosaurus? It was Gutensaurus. And that sounds Dutch. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Yeah. Which might be why one of you wrote it. All right. Here's who wrote the answers. And you're sticking with clever clogosaurus? Yeah. He's the kind of guy. Just wants to watch the world burn.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Here's who wrote the answers. I can't wait to find out what. Two Basilius Rex, man. That was Jackson. What's it mean? Yeah. Nothing. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:59 I was in a panic. Tubal, potato, king of the potatoes. I thought there was a chance that you would think. that was the kind of thing that was notable enough that somebody might write in about. Well, I think the RIF previous implanted that in your brain inception style. Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Boob tube, tube. Tubes are funny. Yeah, yeah. Joel, you were so close looking in Hornosaurus to the point that it must have been heartbreaking for the writer of it, Dave Warnocky. Yes. Oh, damn. That's good, because that means I haven't awarded anyone in the room.
Starting point is 00:22:30 That's true. With my protest votes. That felt like I'd had my cake and then someone just swooped in and taking it away and giving it to a fucking clever clobstosaurus. And I just had to sit here silently.
Starting point is 00:22:43 I don't know. I tried to find out. And you're sure you want to do that? Yeah, well, we'll see how this round plays out. Because I mean, that was one of mine, which was only in there for fun. Yeah. It was never intended to be,
Starting point is 00:22:56 I'm having fun. To receive any points. Clever clogger saw. He took his foot out of the bear trap and stepped into another beer trap. It was really the, you know, Well, more like stepped onto a knife, actually. Right on the edge of being offensive to Dutch people.
Starting point is 00:23:12 I think that as an answer. Well, I wasn't the writer. Yeah, you didn't clear. Rhythmic dong, that was Stephen. That's an answer written by a Dutch person. Yeah, okay, well, there you go. If that helps. Rhythmic dong.
Starting point is 00:23:24 I'd love to know Stephen's process. I think it's fantastic. I think it's really good. Amazing. Dave went for Gutensaurus. That was Joel Dusha. Oh, wow. What were you, talk us through it?
Starting point is 00:23:35 Gooden morning. Is that Dutch? Good morning. They say morning. No, they say... Guten Morgan, probably. Good Morgan or something. I just remember the Guten part.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Yeah, smart. It works. Was there any thought... Goods dinosaur? To Gutenberg? No, I didn't think about Steve. Steve? You didn't think about the Goot?
Starting point is 00:23:55 I love it. I'm not a police academy guy. Neither am I just think it's a great man. I just think it's a great man. What about a three men and a baby? You know, there's other... Goot movies. No, that's true.
Starting point is 00:24:03 What about the press? I am a three man and a boy. baby, go. Oh, yeah. So that means the correct
Starting point is 00:24:08 answer is saturator. Oh, I nearly went for that one too. It's a heck, it sounds more like a transformer. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:24:15 exactly. It doesn't sound like an old word. No. What was it saturating? Maybe there were heaps of it
Starting point is 00:24:20 and they're like it's saturating belt. There's too many of this dinosaur. So yeah, that's a, it's an odd name,
Starting point is 00:24:28 but I like it. Mm, peculiar. So what are the scores after the second round of that? Yeah. Do we not want to worry about it?
Starting point is 00:24:37 We can also, we can figure it after round three If that's easier We'll do a check-in After round three Yeah, we'll do a check-in halfway Okay All right Question three comes from Nikki Taylor
Starting point is 00:24:47 From Preston But not our Preston Apparently there's another one in Lancash year Whoa They're naming They're naming English places After Melbourne suburbs now What the hell
Starting point is 00:24:56 I mean Preston's a good suburb So I get it Yeah, fair enough Well done England Nicky's question is What do the people In the north-east of England you're heading up to the northeast?
Starting point is 00:25:05 Yeah, kind of. You're doing Leeds? Yeah, we're doing Leeds. Northern. Yeah. Enchest is also Northern, but not quite north. North East, what's that Newcastle or something? I think so, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:17 So if you can... Newcastle, isn't it, in England? Oh, Newcastle? Dave, very offensive. You're not going to UK. And that's where Geordie Shore is filmed. And they love to hear about it. Nicky's question is,
Starting point is 00:25:30 what do the people in the northeast of England call the sweet sauce? drizzled over soft serve ice cream. Look at a fun local name for it. With you two might, maybe when this episode comes out, you'll be there licking away. So what's, can you say the thing again? What do they call it?
Starting point is 00:25:50 In the northeast of England, what do they call the sweet sauce that is drizzled over soft serve ice cream? Hey, while they're still writing their answers, here's a bit more info about saturators. According to Stephen, the question writer. The goot. Oh.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Full name prognathodon saturator. That makes more sense. It's almost dong. Is that where the dong is from? It might be. Oh, it's meant to be rhythmic dun. Not rhythmic dom. The species name saturator is literal Latin translation of
Starting point is 00:26:22 He Who gives satisfaction. Oh. Rhythmic dong. Rhythmic dong. Yeah, Mick Jagger. It's an enormous species from their mastrician formation of the Netherlands and northern Belgium. The distinguishing feature of the pea saturator
Starting point is 00:26:38 that separates it from other species of prognathodon is its massive size larger than any other species of prognathodon are known at the time of its description and considerably more massive and robust. Damn. That's awesome. Damn, sounds like a good dinosaur. They were big famously.
Starting point is 00:26:59 No all of them, though. That's true. It's almost small. Jackson, you've given me two options. What do you think? Option one, option two. No, it's the same thing. It's like, that's what it's called,
Starting point is 00:27:09 but then the shortened name for it is. Well, I'm not going to be able to do that now. Yeah. Just pick one. I think it's fantastic, though. I wouldn't touch it. Did you send that as two separate messages? Yeah, because I...
Starting point is 00:27:25 Well, then whose fault is not? Well, he could have messaged me. You know, maybe I should have clarified. That's fine. One message would have probably a colon. Yeah. The answers are in for question number three. What are the people of North England,
Starting point is 00:27:41 North East England, call the sweet sauce that is drizzled over soft serve ice cream. Muddy sugar. Fanny Browns. The old razzle dazzle-dazzle. Monkey's blood. A liquid orgasm or Roddy's Toddy's sauce. Probably not monkey's blood.
Starting point is 00:27:59 That's not really soft of people's. You got me like, yeah, give me the ice cream. Push some monkeys blood on it. Unless it's coughing the rimey riving. Let's not forget, we went to the north-east of England. We went to a place called Hartleypool, where the local team, the football team is called the monkey hangers. Because we remember about the story.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Yes. Centuries ago when the English were at war with the French, a French boat broke up off the coast there, and then a monkey washed up on the beach wearing a military uniform. And they'd never seen a French person before, and they thought, mate,
Starting point is 00:28:31 a lot of them, they're like, maybe, this is what they look like. And then, and then they hanged the monkey. Why? So the local team's called the monkey hangers.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Yeah. That's crazy. And the mascot is called hangus, like H, apostrophe Angus, the monkey. And that is, but is that in northeast?
Starting point is 00:28:47 Yeah, that's just below Newcastle. Why did the French have a monkey dressed like a French soldier on their boat? What the hell? There's some doubt about how accurate this story is. But it's such a great thing
Starting point is 00:28:58 to name your team after a year. Yeah. We're proud. We once killed a monkey. We executed it. We were so stupid we killed a monkey. But there's a like there's a grimmer interpretation of the story that they called the human boys powder monkeys. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Which is possible. There's a few like none of the versions of the story is good. We got to clean it up. We still got to tell people we did it. Let's say we killed a chimpanzee. I think they were not proud of for a long time and then they sort of come around to it before. And the grimness didn't stop us posing with not one but two statues in the same. Oh, no doubt.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Just to get to Hartley Pool. Yeah. A lovely pie. Now, Dushra, it should go first. You need any of them again? Yeah, all of them, please. Muddy sugar, Fanny Browns, the old razzle-dazzle, Monkey's Blood, Liquid Orgazim or Roddy's Toddy's sauce.
Starting point is 00:29:45 I honestly think that Monkey's Blood is the only one there. Unless Dave is playing the ultimate game. Oh, yeah. As heard, I'm really good at this. Yeah, but you said you don't play the game and then you immediately played the game. Did I? Yeah. How did I play?
Starting point is 00:30:01 Oh, the whole day. He's still part of the game. Teach me how I can play. He's hustling you. Which is why I've never played who knew it before. I'm probably going to be really bad. Yeah, what is it? Do we want to make it interesting?
Starting point is 00:30:13 I sure hope this is. Yeah. 100 bucks. 100 bucks on the table. I'm probably going to lose. I've got this 100 bucks in my pocket. I don't really want it. And then half I three, you pull out a special phone for a
Starting point is 00:30:28 It's right. Getting a hustle. I've been riding with my right handle this time. I'm actually a left hand up. Oh my God. Yeah, because I don't remember if the monkey hanger thing came up on a show that you guys did for Dooga One or if it was a show that, like, it was on a show that, like, it was on it. Who knew it and me and you were on one together. But I remember that story now, too.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Yeah. I've told it on primates a few times. Maybe it was primates. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm going to look in monkey. And also Jackson helped by saying monkey's blood in a bad northern accent. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Monkeys blood. Can we hear the others please? What? Oh, every other accent? Monkey's blood? No! Every other accent. It's a lot of accents in the UK, Dave, but I mean, I can do it.
Starting point is 00:31:17 And then outside the UK. Yeah, exactly. We're gonna be here all day, but I can go for it. All right, Dave, what are you thinking? I'm gonna go with Fanny Browns, please. Okay. Fanny Browns, locked in. I'm going Roddy's toddy sauce.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Okay. Yeah. Fantastic. All right. All locked in. Here's the other answers. Liquid orgasm. That was the house.
Starting point is 00:31:35 The old Rosal-Duzzle. That was Nikki, aka the house. So the first round of the house didn't get two points. Well done. Well done, guys. We're getting them. Muddy sugar or alternatively just muddy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:49 That was Jackson Bailey. Thought, you know, oh, put some muddy on it. You know, that's something they might be saying. But unfortunately, I was taken away from it. That wouldn't. have helped though because Matt's not gonna stop and be like he's not like liquid orgasm muddy water just put some muddy on it. Nobody might say muddy water or just muddy for short and that might have given it some legitimacy in your eyes. I mean we don't know now. We'll never
Starting point is 00:32:13 know now. We can't. Dude you sound heaps like me right now. Is that a compliment? No. They went for Fanny Browns. That was douchea. Oh well done. That was the uh if you replay the tapes where I put my head at my hands and go, I'm not proud of my answer. It actually blamed it in better than I thought. It felt real to me. It does. Sounds like a sauce. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Now, Jackson went for Roddy's Toddy's sauce. That was the type. I mean, you didn't ask, I didn't tell you, but there's apostrophies between the Y and S on Roddies and Toddies. It's Roddy's Toddy and it's the Toddy sauce. Oh, I see. Which is like a
Starting point is 00:32:53 Wang. So it's Roddy's Wang sauce. Oh. Okay. Baroque. I like that. Just wanted to bring it up because Matt seemed to doubt the grammatically making sense.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Oh no, I'm not saying I'm just saying it's an unbelievable and unguessable answer. But they're freaks up there. Maybe that's why the correct answer is monkey's blood. Yes.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Oh, damn. Is it really? No. I'm like, Dave, you should be holding this info back until it's your go. What the hell? Or even after you've locked it in.
Starting point is 00:33:23 But you're monkey mad, so I assumed that was you. Yeah, of course. It's inner, like if you were a game player, you would have everyone are locked in. Now that I've revealed the answer, you would have said, I thought so because.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Yeah, which is what you do on something like the chase or something like that. But we're here for a bit of fun. Exactly. And you just, yeah, you gave Dusha a point.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Thank you so much. And, well, you actually gave me two points. Yeah, yeah. Just you didn't have to get my answer. Well,
Starting point is 00:33:48 you deserve that one. And Jackson gave you a point. Yeah. And we're all friends here except Jackson, who's on zero, I believe. So the halfway mark. The halfway mark.
Starting point is 00:33:55 Halfway Mark Scores Jackson yet to score Dave on two Dusha on three But out in front on four points It's the house Well what else was new They came out
Starting point is 00:34:05 They came out of the gate screaming Two points Should we work together against this dust Let's take the house down The house rarely wins Except we're on the podcast Yeah There's a few
Starting point is 00:34:16 There's a few guests Who seem to Love the help house I don't know what that's about All right Question four comes from someone calling themselves Captain Bon Clay, perhaps. Is there a, like, you'd be familiar with that name, Dave, from, from Do Go On suggestions and stuff.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I know the name well. I don't know if they're officially a captain or not, but anyway, Captain Bonn Clay from Cleveland, Ohio, God's country itself. And Bonn asked the question, what is the unusual name of a 51-year-old man recorded in the United States census of 1910? You just got to come up with it. And a noteworthy name that made Captain Bonclay, you know, take a moment from, you know, what do captains do? Either looking after their team or their troops or whatever. The ship maybe. Yeah, I got a message this in.
Starting point is 00:35:10 I've emerged from the sea. Yes. Open the hatch of my submarine. I've got a message. Mars code. They're saying. While they're sore on their answers, Dusha, I can tell you a bit more about this monkey's blood. according to Nikki.
Starting point is 00:35:24 So the raspberry sauce that you get on ice cream is called Monkey's Blood in Newcastle and other places in the northeast of England, which is weird as hell and also hilarious. Apparently it's linked to the Stollway Spy Monkey that they love, but yet they hung in Hartlepool. Oh, wow. That's so crazy. That's insane.
Starting point is 00:35:42 That I believe you saw a statue of. That's right. Dave and I saw two statues in that time. That's true. And one you could throw money in for luck. Yes, which I did. Did it work? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:53 I mean, I've been having a hot run of life ever since. It was about eight years ago. And my life is, whoa. Best eight years of your life. Yeah. Nikki says, I first heard of this from my stepmom and her family who are from Gateshead, is that, right? Knowing it's a British place name.
Starting point is 00:36:10 It looks like Gateshead. It's probably, Gish. Oh, yeah, yeah. Could it be Gatshed? Gat Shed, yeah, probably. And despite living up there for 14 years during Union, a bit of work, I could never bring myself to say it because it's both hidey. and ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:36:24 Well, I'd be scared to say and they wouldn't know what I'm mad. Lock his blood. Get out of here, a lad. Then they hit me with a big bat or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:34 Chase me with a truncheon. Yeah, we only serve ape blood out here. Oh, damn it. Hey, while you still writing your answers, let's go for a quick break. All right, we're back and the answers are in. Question number four. What is the unusual name of a 50-year-old,
Starting point is 00:36:50 51-year-old man recording the United States census of 1910? Dr. Hogg Pepper. Richard sick cox Sick cox Sick cox That's pretty good Bart Simpson Fart cum
Starting point is 00:37:07 Oh Okay Hang on So is that two words Two words Okay First name fart Second name come
Starting point is 00:37:15 How we spell on cum K-U-M Okay Fart com Fart com Lobo Bifton Or bifton
Starting point is 00:37:23 Or finally Darren Dymonte All right Which is a fantastic name But it's not noteworthy on a census No No But it's such a good name
Starting point is 00:37:35 Like if I met Darren Diamanti I'd be shaking their hands Yeah True Thank you for everything you've done Incredible Like the whole nominative Determinism thing
Starting point is 00:37:44 He'd be breezing through life Oh no doubt Oh my God You're shaking his hand For the open top of a Combole He just know he's got good hair Yeah
Starting point is 00:37:52 Well I am Her I uh Hearing Bart Simpson that list just reminded me. I've met a Max Power before. Oh my God. And they didn't change their name to that? No, that was just their name.
Starting point is 00:38:04 God damn. Wow. That's amazing. That is really good. Were they, again, nomative determinism? Were they a powerful person? I met them when I was a child and they were a child. But they were on their way.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Even as a child, could you see they were destined for greatness? The only problem might be, I think the kids with such powerful names have to get over hump, wouldn't they? It would be like child celebrities. Yeah. It could all fall apart. You know? Like icarus. Too much pressure.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Yeah. Yeah. To be Darren Diomonte. Anyway, what were the other insane name? Dr. Hog Pepper. That's so good. Richard Sick Cox.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Bart Simpson, fart come. Lobo Robo Befton. And that's Lobo for the same. Robo-Hifton's your name. Darren Dimonte. Fuck, that all so good.
Starting point is 00:38:48 And like, is it going to be like, yeah, Bart Simpson because. Like, how funny? Yeah, how funny is that?
Starting point is 00:38:52 Like, when you said Bart Simpson reminded me, I thought you're going to say, to eat my shorts. Or something real funny like that. Oh, Bart Simpson, that reminds me to not have a cow man.
Starting point is 00:39:02 I carombo. I got to eat my shorts. Years ago I did a book sheet on the day of the locust, and there's a character in their, his name is Homer Simpson. That is so funny. Yeah, like this is from the 60, 50s or 60. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Were you on that episode? I sure was. Yes, you were. I was going to say, I hope you don't ask for your book back because it's still at my house. I'll see that so locked and loaded and I will not ask for that book,
Starting point is 00:39:24 back because it sucks. You don't know the story of Homer Simpson That's funny that we both have a book That we did on book cheats that sought Like I have the third policeman Oh yeah I give away the ones that I do not love Yeah, that's very funny
Starting point is 00:39:37 Yet the one we did last week Me and Jackson both really liked Yeah No book. I'm keeping that book I'm keeping I'm legend I have enough stalling I know when you start talking books That's you stalling is off topic
Starting point is 00:39:52 Who's your favourite off of them? I'm gonna have to pin you down Okay for me it's between Dr. Hog Pepper and Fartcom. Fartcom is so outrageous that it would survive from 19. Do I dare? Do I dare, fight come? You can't control it.
Starting point is 00:40:11 I'm going to dare. Fart com. Locked in, Jackson. Fight com is term. It's something like as a surname with a cave. Yeah, that's what made me. Fart. Probably didn't mean fart.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Back then maybe, you know. Could be short for flatulence. Yeah, flatulence. Fartreth. Yeah, Fartin. Yeah, Fartin. Yeah, Fartin. Maybe so.
Starting point is 00:40:35 I think I'm going to go Bart Simpson. All right. I think I'm going to go Bart Simpson. What's tough. Yeah, yeah. No, I'm going to go Bart Simpson. And do show. I'm also, it's time for Fartcom.
Starting point is 00:40:47 I'd love to look in Farton. Can I change by the FartCom? Whoever wrote that? Letters. Yeah. You know what this means? It's not us. It's either the house or we're right.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Yeah, exactly. From the dastardly mind of the house. Oh, no. But let's also give a shout out to Dr. Hogg Pepper. Yeah. We can do that right now and reveal who wrote the answers. Dr. Hogg Pepper, that was Jackson Bailey. So good.
Starting point is 00:41:12 I'm sorry I didn't give the noise. Hogg, a great first name. Well, then I thought it's like it's a funny name, but then also Dr. Pepper. Like, there's another reason. But you didn't expect FartCom. Fight Com was going to blow anything we wrote out of the water. We shouldn't have even.
Starting point is 00:41:24 bothered. Yeah, what are we trying for? Lobo Robo Beifton. That was Dave Wanachir. It's a good name. Big fan. I mean, on any other day, that would stand out. And it's fun to say.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Lobo Robo Beifton. Richard Sickcox. That was the house, particular Captain Bonclay. Okay. From the disturbed mind. Bart Simpson Jackson was so close to going for this. That was Joel Dusha. Oh, was it inspired by?
Starting point is 00:41:54 the book that you have. Yeah, the Modi started bringing up Nata the Locust, I was like, shut up, shut up, shut up. Stop. And also when I brought up Max Power, I was also like, I've just tied to two things to the Simpsons.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Yeah, yeah. Bart Simpson, yeah. Darren Diomonte, that was also the house. Meaning you are, correctness. Oh! This feels so good.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Yes. I'm so happy to hear that I live in a world where there was a fart com. Me too, fart com. Fart com. Ah, it's the best. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:42:24 I tell you what, when I saw that, I had an earmarked for an episode with Jackson and Joel. Somehow I just spoke to me. Oh, damn, that's the best. Fart come. Just have even, you know, first name's Fart? Yeah. That is incredible. You can be Fart Baley, if you want to.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Oh, I could be. Fart Dusha? Yeah. What a way to deliver Jackson's first point there. Yeah. Well done, Jackson. Glad to have it. So the score, uh, scores now.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Jackson on one, Dave on three, but out in front on equal four points apiece. It's Joel Dusha in the house. Oh, my God. All right, penultimate question here comes from Paige Carroll from Mesa or Mesa, Arizona. And the question is, what was the headline from the US Sun website on the 7th of August, 2024? So you just need a headline from a couple of years ago. And while you're writing your answers, here's some more info about. fart come.
Starting point is 00:43:27 This is according to Captain Bonn. We respect, thank you for your service, Captain, first of all, and thank you for this information. Bonn writes, the surname Come is a translation of a Mandarin name that means gold, wealth, or respect. As for fart, I was unable to find a translation or meaning. It may just be an unfortunate coincidence. Captain Bonclair, I disagree.
Starting point is 00:43:52 I can call that a very fortunate coincidence. Oh my goodness. Just absolutely blessed this podcast. I think that's one of my favorite thing that's happened in life for quite some time. The donating money to the monkey's hanging memorial has really come. I know. It's coming today. All right.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Answering for question five, what was the headline from the US Sun website on the 7th of August 2024? Canadian girl admitted to hospital after getting an entire harmonica. stuck in her mouth. Prize bull on the run after being sprung in a fair with neighbours heifer. Recent uncovered census data changes name game forever. Zoo floods. Baboon recovered from nearby orphanage.
Starting point is 00:44:44 I've just been fired. Fuck you, Greg Crispin. Or it's all gone schlong. Famous tourist attraction ruined. Visitors Mone Monument with massive penis in worst state ever. Okay. God damn. Jackson.
Starting point is 00:45:00 This is a tricky, tricky one. So you got the harmonica mouth, you got the prize bull on the run. You've got the census data uncovered. What was that one? Recent uncovered census data changed, or it's American, I should say, census data. Thank you. Changes name game forever. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Then there was the zoo flood baboon. recovered in orphanage just made fire fuck you, Greg Crispin or it's all gone schlong. It's hard to imagine getting fired and getting front page new
Starting point is 00:45:34 I mean I guess it's on a website so theoretically I guess you could make that work for yourself. There's two I've like in my mind if you've been fired from an IT position
Starting point is 00:45:42 yeah like you might be able to get in there and like it might be up there for a little bit yeah five minutes or something yeah what the hell either that but also
Starting point is 00:45:50 schlong game one that is also also like, you know, because it's like... You've punched it up, I think. Playing the schlong game. It was it's all gone schlong. I see. I'm gonna go it's all gone schlong.
Starting point is 00:46:04 What was the rest of it though? What was it? Famous tourist attraction ruined. Visitors moan monument with massive penis in worst state ever. Yeah. They moan the monument. Because maybe it's like there's something wrong with the penis monument. It's all gone schlong.
Starting point is 00:46:17 And then you read the article to find out what they've done to it. What does moaning something mean? I guess like, moaning. Yeah, like they're bombed out. You've read books. Yeah. Yeah, but it's in this context.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Yeah. Mone monument is funnily worded. Yeah. Fuck you. Great Christmas. Yeah. Maybe that was her article before they were fired. That's why I were fired.
Starting point is 00:46:40 The animal's like, moan. What the hell? You an idiot? What are you doing here? All right. Dush. What do you think? I have narrowed it down between two in my head and I'm worried that I'm misremembering a story.
Starting point is 00:46:51 But the zoo flooding and baboons. being found in an orphanage is pretty close to things I've definitely read online and have happened recently. There was in Sydney, there was baboons. Or orangutans maybe that took over a hospital? It was baboons. Yeah. Which did this also happen? Or am I remembering a different story? Also, I really want to fuck you, Greg Crispin. Oh, me too. And also if that's wrong, that means someone thought up the name Greg Crispin. And that's good too. Yeah. It's a great name. Could that have been someone's second draft? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:30 They're like, I gotta use it. It's a great time. It was no Dr. Hogpapa, but... Yeah, no matter what the next question is, I'm using Chris Brown. I think I'm going to lock in the baboons. Baboons, all right, locked in. Leaving Dave. I was tempted by baboons as well.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Yeah, give me baboons. Double baboon. All right, locked in. Burn it up. Here is who wrote the answers. Canadian girl admitted a hospital after getting entire harmonica stuck in her mouth. That was Paige, the question writer.
Starting point is 00:48:01 The prize bull having an affair and running off. That was the house to me. It's real funny to picture a... A bull having an affair. Any animals doing humans. Yeah, she's funny. And I'm like knowing that and running away. Oh, the shame.
Starting point is 00:48:17 So I had a little fun by myself. That was good. It was good. Yeah. The uncovered census data one, Oh, those douche, where do you get your ideas, do yousha? Okay, so here's what happened. I was laughing too much about the fart com.
Starting point is 00:48:29 Yeah. And then I forgot the question. And I had to ask you for a question. And I knew I didn't have time to think. So I was just like, whatever. This is a reference to the last question. Yeah, okay, I see. Our name game is just fine.
Starting point is 00:48:39 Yeah. It's great headline work. Oh, yeah, absolutely. I've just been fired. Fuck you, Greg Chris from that was Dave Warnockie. Great choice of Greg Chris. Really solid. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Really solid. Loved it. I don't know if you want to talk us through it at all. but I think that's fantastic. You get to imagine who Greg Crispin is. Is it a jilted lava? Is it the editor? I'm imagining editor and he looks at Crispin Glover.
Starting point is 00:49:01 Yeah, me too. I was also picturing Crispin Glover. Great Crispin Glover. Now, Joel and Dave went for the zoo floods and the baboon in the orphanage. That was Jackson Bailey. Well done. Oh, yeah. Two points.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Two points. And that also means that Jackson's correct. It's all gone schlong. That's a maximum is three point. Oh, my God. Bailey. Wow. Oh, great.
Starting point is 00:49:22 Triple point round. How did you be too now in the last round? I'll let you reveal it. Well, going into the last round, the scores are Dave on three, everyone else on four. Oh yes. You just throw a blanket over the field. The bitch is back, baby.
Starting point is 00:49:37 Now, will you spend a couple of minutes explaining what the moan means now? Oh, look, just read it one more time. It's all gone schlong, famous tourist attraction ruined. Visitors moan monument with massive penis in, quote, This is their moaning, worst state ever. Yeah, so they're moaning and what they're moaning. It's like if you're like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like instead of whinge.
Starting point is 00:50:00 Yeah. Complain. Yeah. Visitors complain monument with massive penis in worst state ever. Does that? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's better. That's honestly better. I agree.
Starting point is 00:50:08 And supposedly they came up with the language. Oh, it's, um, it's, it was. No, this was US. It was, yeah. Awful to hear. It's all gone shlong. There you go. The famous tourist tourist attraction ruined is, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:18 Yeah, okay, you got to know that it's written by the sun. Yeah. So. Well, you should go see that, dude. That's in the UK. Yeah. Let's go see the giant penis. I'll read that article while you're writing your next answers,
Starting point is 00:50:29 which we've got to get onto. It's from actually the man who actually designed the Who Knewit logo. Oh my God. The great man Murray Somerville from New Farm in Brisbane. And the question is, we always finish with some sort of synopsis question. This one, we want to know the plot for the movie Cherry 2000. Get those in. And while you do, I'll let the listeners know a bit more.
Starting point is 00:50:51 More about this. Shlong. Malia Katib writes. Tourists are in an uproar after the iconic Cernabass giant, known for his enormous appendage. I'm so sorry if Cernabass is not right. Or giant, for that matter. It was left covered in overgrown grass,
Starting point is 00:51:12 hiding his famous feature from sight. The ancient chalk figure of a naked man, which has graced the Dorset countryside for centuries, is now barely visible. The National Trust, which has maintained the site since 1920, blames an exceptionally wet summer for the overgrowth that has disappointed visitors from across the UK. Frustrated tourists who flock to sea the 180-foot hillside giant have struggled to make out the chalk outline through the thick grass. Coles amounting for the National Trust to trim the giant back to his former glory. This week in an effort to tackle the unruly grass, a flock of sheep has been released onto the protected hills.
Starting point is 00:51:51 side. However, some visitors have expressed their dismay. Suggesting this move has come too late. Helen Corbyn said, said to see the ruin of the Surnabast giant today. Barry Howe from Monmouth said, worst I have ever seen it, and I've passed it many times. There's no attraction there. There's no attraction there. Barry, he's like, yeah, that's just, I don't know, I'm not feeling it anymore.
Starting point is 00:52:20 Might be the seven-year-rich for Barry. Maureen Lockouted, surely it needs regular maintenance to keep it looking good. After all, it is one of Dorset's famous landmarks. One online user, Jackie Willis took to social media with a cheeky suggestion. He just needs a bit of manscaping. That is cheeky, Jackie. Local resident Lisa Eaton echoed the sentiment. She told the son, he just needs a tidy up.
Starting point is 00:52:45 We saw him a few months ago and he didn't look too bad. He probably just needs weeding. Not everyone is upset though. Neil Croton and other locals said, it's just a seasonal growth, so I don't see an issue. The site holds some nationally important flora and fauna, such as the marsh fritillary butterfly. It has to be carefully managed for them, not just tourists and sites, say it's.
Starting point is 00:53:07 Here, here, Neil. National Trust spokesperson explained the complexities of maintaining the giant. Caring for the giant, its archaeology, and the site of special scientific interest that surrounds him, is a complex task. Sheep have been returned to the giant to help reduce the grass growth. Following grazing,
Starting point is 00:53:24 our small ranger team will undertake annual maintenance, cleaning, weeding and edging. Oh my God. Hubbo, hobbo. Edging the giant after grazing
Starting point is 00:53:34 and ensuring this iconic landscape feature remains in peak condition. They added this year the exceptionally wet summer has boosted the grass growth and temporarily reduced visibility of the giant. Part of conserving the giant means leaving it alone as much as possible.
Starting point is 00:53:48 The jogger's replace every decade or so, a process that takes days of work by the National Trust Ranges and volunteers. The more the ground is disturbed, the quicker the giant erodes. Oh my God. Okay, so just... I guess you can't walk all over him. You got to see him from a nearby hill or something. Yeah, yeah. I think the roadside, you get a good look at it. I reckon I went passing out a look at it.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Yeah. Was it good to see? Many years ago. Yeah, I had no complaints. Yeah, I think it'll be... Because it's ancient, right? Yeah. Yeah, you know, it's, yeah, incredibly old. All right. Final question. What is the plot of the movie Cherry 2000?
Starting point is 00:54:25 Teen break dancer, Latisha Cherry Sparks, fame for her signature red lips and fearless moves, discovers her crew has been stealing routines from a rival group. Set in the future, vibrant year of 2000, Cherry must lead her team to redemption by crafting original. Show-stopping moves to take on the fiercest dance crews in LA. Packed with neon style and epic dance battles, Cherry 2000 is a pulse-pounding breakdance showdown.
Starting point is 00:54:53 You won't forget. It's option one. Wow. Option two, in this low-budget 90-Romantic comedy, Cheryl Cherry Jones finds herself thrust a decade into the future as she attempts to track down her commitment-phobic time-traveling reptilian lover on the eve of their long-awaited wedding. Option three.
Starting point is 00:55:14 There's a lot going on, but. Yeah, it's like a commitment fove, but he is engaged. That's rare. And time travel. Option three, in the post-apocalyptic California of 2017, successful businessman Sam Treadwell is married to an Android wife named Cherry 2000. When Cherry expires, Treadwell refuses to settle for a newer, less attractive robot. Salvaging the chip containing her personality, he heads through the lawless desert zone
Starting point is 00:55:42 to search for a replacement Cherry 2000 model. Option four of five. The year is 2008. And in the not too distant future, there is a new dating show on the scene, Cherry 2000. Multiple contestants enter looking for a new robot love companion. But once they're in,
Starting point is 00:56:02 they're about to find out that they mightn't be leaving with a wife or even their life. Oh my God. Whoa, whoa. Whoa. Well, finally, Cherry Valti is beaten to the position of less cheerily. leader by her childhood best friend turned enemy, Amy Steiner. In an attempt to get back at Steiner, Cherry tinkers with the brakes on her car, but Steiner's mother unexpectedly drives it and dies in an accident.
Starting point is 00:56:32 Steiner turns to her old friend Cherry for comfort. Can Cherry keep her secret or will it eat her up? Did I say less cheerleader? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, something with that, man. Yeah. I guess I don't really know much.
Starting point is 00:56:45 I was reading through the back of my head the whole time. I'm like, is that right? Did I say that right? I don't know much about cheerleading, but I guess it's. I was feeling, it's rare that I get through all the movie synopsis without mistakes. I was getting cocky.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Yeah, one's pretty good. You gotta be happy with, you know. It's not too bad. All right, Dusha, can we lock in an answer? Now, this is crazy to do in this part of the game. You're going to abstain. I'm going to give my voting chance. But I'm going to leave now.
Starting point is 00:57:17 No, I think I'm going to go robot future. Lizard future. Lizent future. Commitment phob. And I am falling for the trap of why would someone ask what Cherry 2000 is? Yeah. Yeah. And if it's that, fair enough.
Starting point is 00:57:34 That's pretty crazy. It doesn't, I'm locking it in, but it also reeks of one of your answers. Oh, okay. And are you going to reveal who it wreaks? of. Probably Jackson. Okay. I reckon Dave's answer
Starting point is 00:57:46 will have a name in it. All right. Dave, what are you looking in? Have a name in it? Yeah, like the Amy one or the Carlotta cherry or whatever.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're good at names. There was Latisha. Yeah. The one you went for had a name in it. Oh, no. Oh.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Dave, but you've locked it in, Dave. The first one really told an evocative story, but the one I'm going to go for is one of the robot ones, the one with the the guy with the chip.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Oh, yeah. Yep, where he goes through the lawless desert zone. Yeah. That feels very old school future. Yeah, it does. It does. And the fact that he's like, he's not going to settle for an unattractive. It's a newer model, but a what cost?
Starting point is 00:58:26 Oh, God. Can I, I don't want you to go through them all again. But what was the other robot one? It was like a game show? Yes. Where you might be leaving with a wife or even your life. Yeah. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:58:43 tricky. Yeah. Maybe I'd go for the chip one too. Double chip. Going to double dip the chip. I'm going to double dip. I'm going to double dip. I'm going to double dip a chip.
Starting point is 00:58:51 If we're wrong and this is Dushu's going to get six points. Yeah. It's going to be humiliating. All right. Here's who wrote the answers. The first one with Latisha cherry sparks, which sounds a bit like bring it. Yeah. I think, maybe.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Only better. That was from the beautiful mind of Murray, the question writer, okay, the house. That had so much detail. Yeah. But it was too detail. Yeah. It was real. It felt real.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Too real. Too real. Too real. Dave's like, I came here to escape. It's like seeing myself on screen. Cherry Voltee, the one who was beaten for the position of less cheerleader, which is what was written. That was Dave.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Thanks for covering for that. Thank you. I did write. And you're right, I did have Amy Steiner and also Cherry Veltie. Yeah, you had some gear. You are good at names. I love names. All right
Starting point is 00:59:44 That's a little hint for anyone listening to who knew it Who has to guest with Dave in the future Listen out for names and answers Jackson was very close to going For the robot love show Yeah The game show That was Joel Dusha
Starting point is 00:59:56 That felt like a real movie too Yeah it did Yeah it did But the you might lose your life You might lose your wife It was almost too cute You know Too cute
Starting point is 01:00:05 I couldn't Classic Dusha Too cute yeah I saw too cute Dusha What I think is that that you might, you might leave with a wife,
Starting point is 01:00:13 you might even leave with your life or whatever I wrote. Yeah. That was too clever for the dog shit I wrote beforehand, which was possible. Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Starting point is 01:00:22 I think you might be right. But then when you combine those two parts, no good. Yeah. All right, so the romantic comedy with Cheryl, Cherry Jones,
Starting point is 01:00:30 the douchea went for, the reptilian lover. That was as predicted. Jackson, yeah, yeah. You knew. It was too busy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:41 As I said it, I was like, oh, this is Matt said. It was busy, but it was compact as well. It was the shortest of all the answers I did. And I also called a hole in it straight away being like, why is he commitment for him? He's engaged. Well, he could be, you know, he's... No, commitment for him's always in movie.
Starting point is 01:00:54 I should know that. Comic irony. Yeah. You saw a bear trap and he thought, what if I put my face in this? There's a bear trap at the finish line. I've been leaving all day. What if I lie down in this?
Starting point is 01:01:05 I've got time. And that means, uh, Jackson and Dave are correct. It is the one about, uh, Sam Treadwell taking the chip of his robot lover. Because the new robots not hot enough. So, wow, what a final round. I can tell you that this movie is not particularly loved by critics or audience. 38% approval rating on Rotten Tomato from critics.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Slightly more, 41% from the audience. A review by Eric D. Snyder reads, look, I don't know what's going on. I didn't write the movie. Nobody wrote the movie. which is a bit of fun. All right, before we go, Dave, where can people find you? You can find me on tour in Canada with you and Jess Perkins this very, very month.
Starting point is 01:01:51 I'm so excited. I can't wait to get over there. I'm trying to grow my beard out to be more Canadian. Oh, nice. You're going to wear a lot of denim. Dunham, what are they called? Double denim, the old Canadian tuxedo. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:01 Well, maybe I'll just go for a big mustache. That feels a bit Canadian too. That's a good idea. That's really good. Maybe I should do a mustache for the UK. Yeah, I think so. You too. Okay. and Jackson
Starting point is 01:02:11 well I mean both of you yeah one more time where you're going all around the UK yeah so when you hear this we're halfway throughout UK tour provided that you listen to it the day it comes out
Starting point is 01:02:22 if you listen to it after September 11 you messed up you've whiffed it yeah it's always a risk to wait after but there'll still be two London shows a Cardiff show and the Birmingham show
Starting point is 01:02:33 yeah for you to bribe tickets too if you want to come and see you Sandspansradio.com click on event It's dot Fartcom. Yeah, dot Fartcom. We should have got, if to get the Fartcom URL, go to Fartcom.
Starting point is 01:02:47 Go to Fartcom. To get tickets. All right. Final scores in equal. Third place on four points is Joel Dusha in the house. Moving up into the second place on six points of Dave Warnocky, but flying home in the back after the game and hitting double digits on 10 points is Jackson Barley. Oh, yeah, baby.
Starting point is 01:03:09 That was a massive comeback. Yeah, it was huge. A fart comeback. It was a fight comeback in many ways. All right. It's not going to make any sense after this. I have to get it all over there. There's no cool, like the next episode of going to be, what?
Starting point is 01:03:26 Yeah. Just put FartCom as a fake answer in something. That's true. It's a continual house answer. Every week. Thanks so much for joining us. It's always an absolute pleasure. And cheers to everyone for tuning in.
Starting point is 01:03:37 If you know anyone who might enjoy it, give it a five-star review. You tell your friends, all that sort of things. It all helps follow us on the social medias, et cetera, et cetera. Anyway, thanks for tuning in. And now that you know it, I've been Matt's show at Goodbye. Goodbye. How good is having to figure out which app your guess that you're trying to get in contact with I'm most likely to check when you ask them to guest on the podcast?
Starting point is 01:04:07 You go, okay, you're an Instagram guy, but you're a Facebook messenger person. These people can't mix. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's a fellow to do? How long do I wait before not the message not being read before I message on a separate app? It's good stuff. Love booking guests. I mean, that's why we all got into this game.
Starting point is 01:04:27 Exactly. For the guest book. Yeah, you're the only one who doesn't host a guest. Oh, you do something. Love a little admin. I love reaching out to friends and realizing that's the only thing I've messaged in my bad. Three in a row where you said, hey, can you do this? No worries.
Starting point is 01:04:44 And they say, I'll ask me again soon. worries. Yeah. And then there's three of those in our own. Anytime. Like, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Honestly, I won't be a fan of it if you're like, I just don't want to. Yeah. Oh, yeah. A no is always superior to a,
Starting point is 01:04:57 uh, it's funny looking back at our Facebook message. Literally it's, uh, who knew it answers? Yeah. And then, Hey,
Starting point is 01:05:03 can you guest on this? Hey, can you guess on this? That's it. I feel, I'm sometimes like, we should throw in a, Hey,
Starting point is 01:05:09 you want to go hang out. Yeah, grab a drink or something. Sorry, our last conversation wasn't if you knew what related. That's good, that's something. It was plumbing the desk.
Starting point is 01:05:16 It was Tism, actually. Oh, six. Jerk and do you're just feeling the pressure. Jerk and he's feeling the burden. Well, we'll find out when we get to an answer and then whether or not, how it just feels to get read out, whether I go. It is tricky because it is sort of a,
Starting point is 01:05:35 you need to come up with two answers. You started as, it's, we're getting on hard mode, yeah. Yeah, you begin on hard mode. And also, you'll notice that if you play back, when you guys were thinking, me and Matt were talking. We're doing the podcast.
Starting point is 01:05:45 You were roofing. Not me and Dave. Yeah. We're the intellectuals of the pod. I get sucked into doing the podcast every time. No. No, I feel good. I feel good about mine. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:55 I mean, I think you've all nailed the brief. Okay. That's good to hear. Well, yeah, because this is also a one where we get the basic layout wrong. Yeah. Immediately out of zero points. That has absolutely happened to me before once when we had this exact type of question about a German word.
Starting point is 01:06:11 And I did not understand. the phrasing of the question. You sort of, you had it flipped somehow. Yeah. And I led to a very fun moment. Well, that's good. It led to me sitting here being like, oh, I can't. He's going to read mine now.
Starting point is 01:06:23 Oh, no. You can't believe what I've done. The other three guests are standing on the table, but like, oh, what does that even mean? Aren't you mention me the host of the smart guy podcast, idiot? I can't even read. So too early to lock in Cossar for this next one? If anyone thinks I need it, feel free to give me, what do you call it?
Starting point is 01:06:48 Phonetic spelling. Okay. If you think, maybe one of you, at least, I don't know how to say that. This one might does that. I'll just be a little light reading it. Yeah, just get in page two. Find out what's happening in Anna Kavina's cotillion. Of the people at home, the great man, Jackson Bailey here, has
Starting point is 01:07:11 lost a bit and has to read war and peace. And the best way to find out about that bet is to listen to last week's episode of book cheat or six months ago's baseless speculation. Or in like three or four years when we finally do war and peace on a bookshed. Yeah, 2020 series. War and Peace and Dave and Jackson.
Starting point is 01:07:33 That's really good. Part one. Book one. Don't do it in books. We'll be this 15. 15. Wait, what is the, what are you close to? I'm close to part two.
Starting point is 01:07:45 Okay, so two parts, 15 books, two, um, uh, epilogs, yeah. And every book is about 100 pages. So, my God. Yeah, what are you looking at? 1096 for this whole thing. Yeah, huh? And I'm at about 406 or something. Got some time.
Starting point is 01:08:05 Got some work to do. Got some good times ahead of you. Yeah, dude. There were, uh, he's got a great. quote, and it's probably someone else. Is it a car horn? But he talks about the levels of fame. It's like your agent says,
Starting point is 01:08:21 sorry, we need, what is it? On your way up, they go, we need Steve Gutenberg. Then it's, we need a Steve Gutenberg type. Yeah. And then, I can't remember the quote. That's pretty good. I like to want a god of it.
Starting point is 01:08:35 AJ, edit that out. I mean, he's panicking so hard over you. He was talking to the wrong editor. Oh, what did I say, AJ? Oh, Connor, I'm so sorry. This is the first who knew it where Matt's rattled. You rattled him. You're rattled him.
Starting point is 01:08:51 You're a protest vote. He was like, no, that's the one that no one was meant to vote for. One vote, please. I really thought that that was, you know, when you think you're like, this will come to me. Yeah, as I'm talking. Here it is, the five stages of an actor's career. Who is Steve Gutenberg? Get me, Steve Guttenberg.
Starting point is 01:09:11 I want a Steve Gutenberg type. I want a young Steve Gutenberg, who is Steve Gutenberg? That's good. That's pretty good. Okay, great. I don't love my answer, but that's okay. And just off the record, did you reveal the answer of the last one? No.
Starting point is 01:09:35 Hey, we'll fix it in post. Connor. The ad takes of this one. going to be brutal. All right, obviously, I've just said the bit about the gout. Have I said everyone else? I think so.
Starting point is 01:09:53 Sure. Sometimes you've got to throw out a shore, you know? Go for it. Hey, that'll do. Hey, you know, they can't all be winners. Have you got to be in it to win it? Yeah, that's true. You've got to get your head in the game.
Starting point is 01:10:08 That's undeniable. fart cum I remember there was a great Twitter account back when Twitter was good that would go through the census and find strange names That's where this is from The only one I remember is Diet Coke
Starting point is 01:10:24 Which is pretty funny It was like D-I-O-T And then just called Diet Coke Imagine you'd like get caught You know to accidentally time travel back in time You go What dear is it? What's your name?
Starting point is 01:10:36 Diet Coke I don't know what's happening My machine's broken in my brain I don't know what's going What's your name? Sprite? What's happening? No, I'm Fartcom.
Starting point is 01:10:44 Okay. All right. Okay. There's a lot of cool, like, chalk works in Britain. Isn't there a horse somewhere? Yeah, I feel like it could be a horse. Yeah, it could be. There's one in Australia that's, like, kind of recent, the Mari man, I think.
Starting point is 01:11:02 Oh, yeah, yeah. And nobody knows who did it, but it's like gigantic. Yeah, it's a bit of fun. I love that. Just big things are great. Australia's always been good at the big things. Oh, yeah. Big podcasts.
Starting point is 01:11:11 Big podcasts. Some of the biggest. They should. Yeah. A town if they really want to put themselves on the map. Should have a road side of checking. The big podcast. A big podcast.
Starting point is 01:11:21 Yeah. I like getting more specific. Yeah. The big, who knew it? Oh, that's good. Yeah. It's just you and then three guests with question marks over their face, strangling each other with the microphones,
Starting point is 01:11:33 which I imagine is the vibe of every episode and not just the ones I'm on. Yeah. Yeah. If you could be bothered, doing a podcast where you went to every big thing, Calling it the big podcast is like such an obvious choice. Well, we've done the big potato, which is no longer the big potato. It's the big babe now. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:48 In honor of baked the pig. Beautiful. Big banana is good. We've been to the big marino as well. Big marino solid. Touched of marino's balls. They got rid of the Nazi James Cook. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:59 That's true. No more big. Dave will be disappointed. I mean, because you're about to. Because Dave's about to go to can. I'm about to get a cat. I was like, oh my God. Yeah, to meet you're here.
Starting point is 01:12:11 Yeah, I love, I love Captain Cook, but he was doing the salute. Oh, my God. And I don't think it was on purpose. I don't know what they were probably thinking meant him to be pointing at something. That's crazy. And it was, yeah, it looked like a Nazi salute. It was a flat hand. He was just pointing saying all of this, this is ours.
Starting point is 01:12:30 Yeah, yeah. And they were like, and that's fine, isn't it? That's okay. Thank you.
