We read the stuff. So like we were in the car together for like seven, over several hours.
yesterday. So, like, we had a lot of conversations.
We talked about, like,
some of these topics.
Really?
Weed.
Sex before marriage.
Like, we talked about a lot of it.
That's crazy.
And Kaylee, at one point, she said,
dang Lydia, that needs to be on a podcast.
I told her that yesterday.
And she was so, whoa, God.
Whoa.
God said it's about to be girls.
That's good.
Whoa, God.
She was spitting bars.
I was like, okay.
Well, whenever I saw it, like,
I was listening to the voicemails,
and I heard this girl talking about weed and alcohol.
And I was thinking about my guest, and I thought,
I think they could speak into this.
What in honor.
That's like I sent this video.
I saw weed and alcohol.
I thought, man.
Lydia's got this.
Because it's inspiring.
Because people don't like,
because you're sitting here and leader in worship, you know,
and people don't know you've had experience with that and you've overcome.
But I get that because I sent my mom this video the other day to mom and Bella.
And it was like when your mom just like casually farts and doesn't say anything.
They do.
They do.
And it's his video and this guy like farts.
And then, but he's playing the mom.
And the son, like, she's like, mom.
He's like, you never fart before in your life.
Ella was like, ha, ha, so accurate.
And mom was like, when did I become the person that this is the real scent to me?
Like, is that?
embarrassed.
Like, I'm this person.
I'm this person.
But you know what's crazy about like even like some of these topics like me and Lydia?
like we both like have the same views but we both like have different experience to how we got there.
So like even like like sex before marriage or like like like the drinking.
Like you and Reeves like y'all waited but that was like the first time and not be
emaccentuated or drinking and we like but like we both have two different testimonies but like we're
both living proof.
This is going to be powerful.
I'm so excited.
This is just such a good cold open.
I want that to be the opening of this podcast.
So if you're tuning it, welcome to the world.
That's Good Podcast.
Happy Wednesday, everybody. I hope you're having a great week, but it's about to get so much better.
As you might have heard snippets of, we're going to be talking today about weed, drinking, sex before marriage.
So, buckle up because it's getting real.
But before we do, I want you to know that you have three very different people sitting on the couch and the chair.
So we're all very close friends.
We have Lydia and Kaylee, who are probably not familiar faces to a lot of you guys because they've been on the podcast before.
some of my best friends, and Ella Worship, hello.
But we're just talking about our differences.
So we're going to make the comparison in an interesting way.
Get ready, you guys.
Okay, because some of you listen, you're like, oh, I resonate with that.
But Lydia's been having some chronic crying issues that we have compared to
diarrhea of the tears.
She cannot hold her tears back.
Emotional diarrhea, as Kaylee worded it yesterday.
Because I have emotional constipation.
And like I feel like I can't cry on command or like things will be sad.
I want to cry.
I'm like, I don't know why, but I feel my body needs to, but I can't.
Like I'm emotionally constipation.
But Lydia like cries because.
I can't help it.
Like the example that got us here was Sadie said, wow, your daughter.
Rosie, my daughter, she said, she smells so good.
And I started to get emotional because I said, thank you.
That's actually me on her.
And then it brought up a whole other thing of I've been trying.
trying to be the kind of person that smells good.
And so she literally started to cry as she achieved a goal she set for herself.
And me and Kaylee are like, peers truly were welling up.
How do you cry like this?
But you do, but you do.
Like if someone's like, oh, I'm going to cry and they're embarrassed, Lydia is always like,
don't worry, I'll cry with you.
And then you'll proceed to do it.
And then she goes for it.
And then me and Kaylee are just sitting there like.
Unintentionally, though.
It's like if you wish of growing up can like burp on command, you like cry on command,
like I got you.
Here we go.
My mother-in-law is like that.
She will always do that.
I'll cry with you than she will, and it's so sweet.
And I wish I was that person.
But I'm not, like, constipated and I don't have emotional diarrhea, but I am cry shy.
Yeah.
I'm shy.
It's like I only cry at home.
She can't do it on vacation or around people, but when she goes home, she lets it lose.
I know this is resonating with so many people right now.
We're representing all of the different people right now.
Oh, my gosh.
The lady said, like, you know, when the person who's going through.
through something tough. She's like, they'll be crying and she's
like wanting to cry. She knows she needs to be crying.
And she can't, but then she gets in the car and just like,
sobby. And then I'm like, I wish I could
have cried with them because they probably were
like, why is she not crying? Are you
heartless?
Filming myself. I promise I'm crying.
No, because when the camera comes out, I can't do it either.
I would totally tense up. But
those who know, y'all have seen me on the podcast,
when I've cried on the podcast, I was like genuine
moment. Because that's hard for me to do.
But that's good. That's what I want.
I cry so much that it probably doesn't seem genuine.
It probably seems like,
there she goes again.
There she goes again crying.
You're literal crocodile tears.
Like sometimes I'm going to cry and I think you're joking
because like someone just said you smell good,
but then you proceeded to cry.
The funniest, can I please tell the story
of what you cried out recently and it was so funny
when we were all on our, my birthday trip?
Is that too personal?
No, you could.
This was hilarious.
We talked about this yesterday.
Yeah, you can share it.
You can share it.
Why were y'all doing that?
That sounds like the worst game to play ever.
We shouldn't.
And it kind of was.
It upset everybody.
Everybody was crying.
That's one of those like social media versus reality.
But we didn't post ours because it would have been inauthentic to how the moment kind of came out.
So like, you know, you see these people on Instagram and they're playing pregnancy
roulette.
Why is this a trend?
But it is.
It looks fun.
It looks fun.
It looks so fun because everyone's like, you know, takes a pregnancy test and you put the pregnancy test in a cup.
And then you pull out the ones just like you're pregnant.
And then if it says pregnant and you weren't expecting it, everybody freaks out.
So they look super fun on social media.
So we're like, oh, we should do this.
Like on this birthday trip.
And there were some people on our trip who were pregnant.
So we knew we were going to get some.
But really, if it exceeds this number, then it's going to be crazy.
Yeah.
So we all take pregnancy tests.
And like while people are taking pregnancy tests, I think like three people cried.
No, we did.
They got emotional.
You were crying before you ever took the test.
Lydia was just crying.
We were like about to play the game.
It hit me.
It hit me.
What if?
What if?
And Lydia, other people have more strong reasons for the tears.
Like, we could see why they were crying.
And then everybody was like, oh, I'm so sorry.
We should not have to play this game.
Okay, in our defense, the pregnancy test that we got were kind of funky.
And they were like, the control.
control line was different than what you would expect.
We got the cheap ones.
We got the cheap ones.
We did.
The control line was different than what you would normally expect.
And I confessed to Kaylee yesterday that in the bathroom when it was my turn, I peaked for a second.
Okay.
I peaked for a second.
And so what really brought the tears was that I read it wrong.
I read it wrong.
And so I truly for a second there, I was like, I am pregnant.
You thought it lit up that quick.
Yes.
The test line.
That's what I thought.
And so then I was.
like it's like I'm pregnant I'm six months postpartum and here we go like that makes a lot like
then the panic set in and then the panic set in.
You're like I hit it too really how do I explain this to him yes but then it was all diffused
oh my gosh that makes a lot more sense yeah I lived over you crying you know I was like
you're not ready you know because you were like trying to like when do you know you're ready
I'm like well that was a good indicator I was not ready yeah no not at all
I was just having fun because I was in the in-between in my cycle where like it wouldn't have told me either way.
But I was like, ooh, let's find out of everybody else.
And then I saw you cry.
And I was like, you know.
We shouldn't have played this game.
No, it was rough.
And then I was crying and then other people started walking out of the bathroom crying.
Yeah, we were like, this is dumb.
This is too, it's too big of a deal.
And there's so many, everybody has a different story.
Everybody has a different way of looking at it.
Yeah, we were like, this is one of those Instagram versus reality is so different.
It carries so much more weight.
We learned that lesson.
We learned that lesson the hard way.
Don't go do that on a trip.
Some people did it and it was magical, but it didn't end up that way for us.
That trip was fun.
That trip was so fun.
I want to go again.
It was so fun.
And then remember we went up because we were trying to film that Puerto Rico trend.
And we went up to the rooftop.
And literally none of us drink right now.
Like all of us are like most of us were pregnant breastfeeding, some capacity.
and when we got up there,
the security,
I came over to make sure we are okay
because we were like dancing and being silly
and I said,
I can promise you, sir,
you have nothing to be afraid of with us.
We were like, it was just funny,
but we had such a fun time.
Middle school girls.
Yeah, we were.
It was like having fun
and not caring what anybody thought
and just loving life.
But also it was so cool
because like the first night we got there,
we all were like,
we're going to be like kids together
we have so much fun.
We don't have our kids.
And then we actually like
were so chill
and ended up like being very
vulnerable with each other, opening up about some really hard things. We ended up having,
like, the most incredible prayer time, like, literally laying hands on each other,
crying, praying. And I had, like, not had my phone on me for a while because we were praying
for so long and talking for so long. And Christian was like, what have you all been doing?
And I was like, we've been praying. I was so powerful. Everybody opened up. And he was like,
that is so amazing, Sadie, that, like, you know, you're on a trip with your girlfriends.
And as a husband, you hadn't texted me back in a while. And then you text me finally. And it's
like, I've been praying with my friends.
And he's like, that's so cool.
And I'm so proud that our friendships are like that, that we can have fun and laugh and be
like so silly and do Puerto Rico trends and whatnot.
But then we can be like, hey, this is like actually really hard right now.
This is what I'm going through.
And you can just come as you are.
So such a blessing.
So grateful for you.
Grateful for you.
And like friends who asked our questions because like I know we joked that I was,
I'm emotionally constipated.
But like, y'all actually made me cry.
And that's saying a lot because y'all just like,
checked on something that I shared I was struggling with and y'all followed up and that meant the
whole world that it's like having friends that say hey you opened up about that but like how are you
doing and then like it's your birthday trip and y'all are praying for me like like how special is that
it was beautiful i remember when because like you hadn't come on a lot of our like like you know
the times that we had really leaned in like that and you're like oh y'all are for real like when
you talk about confession and like talking about things we're like really full
known here. But I feel like that was kind of new for you and you're like, oh, this is cool.
Like it was so beautiful. And no shame. Like, oh, you're struggling. Don't share that. It's like,
no, we want you to struggle with us. Yeah. We're all like, same. I'm so thankful for that.
Well, today we're actually going to answer some voicemails that y'all send in. And that's one of my
favorite things about our voicemails is that y'all don't hold back. You're so open with the
questions that you ask. Some of them have made us cry as we've listened to them. I just want to say
thank you for that. And also, some of you send the funniest questions and the funny
things. Someone actually sent in, this is one of my favorite ones we've ever gotten. She was like,
Cady, let me explain to you how there are so many chickens in the world because you heard me
wondering. And it was like a solid three minute long explanation. And I was like, this is why I love
this community. So we can go deep. We can laugh. And I love it all. So thanks for calling in.
I don't know about y'all, but it feels like our house is constantly in snack mode.
Someone's always asking for a drink or something to eat. So when I find something that my girls
actually love and feel good about giving them, it is a huge win.
and lately that has been Sava.
You've heard me talk about how much we love Sava's bone broth protein powder,
and now the Sava Kids drink mixes are just as popular in the Huff House.
Created by my friend and fellow mom, Taylor Dukes.
I really love how thoughtful the ingredients are in the Sava Kids products.
It's so amazing.
There's zero added sugar, no artificial flavors or colors,
and each mix is made to support something different.
Sava's immunity drink has elderberry and vitamin C and D,
which is especially nice during this back-to-school season,
and they're melatonin-free,
sleepy time drink mix has everything kids need to relax and settle into bedtime.
My kids love a good, like, sleepy anything.
We'll be like, oh, this is a sleepy lotion.
This is a sleepy drink.
And so they are all about it.
Plus, the immunity drink is kind of blue, so that's become the mermaid drink in our house.

Today, we're going to tackle some big ones that y'all sent in.
So Josh and Liv hit it.
Hi, Sadie.
This is Brittany from Toronto.
I actually want to talk about swearing.
It's something that I constantly struggle with.
I actually just finished watching your episode on gossip.
That was so good.
I needed that because I also struggled with gossiping.
But swearing is just something I really struggle with.
I know that we're not supposed to.
But for some reason, I just find myself constantly doing it.
So I'd love to just know what your thoughts on that are.
I just love you so much in your podcast. It's amazing. Bye.
So cool that you're just like, hey, I struggle with it. This is real. I know I'm not supposed to, but I do.
And the gossip podcast that we just did was so cool because it really resonated with a lot of people that.
Like, oh, I needed to hear that. Such a good reminder to go to scripture and read so many of the proverbs about watching our tongue, watching the things that we're saying.
I have my own kind of spin on this and what I personally have walked through, but have you all struggled with that yourselves?
about swearing. Is that something hard for real?
Yes, I have struggled with it.
I'll share a little bit of like how I struggle with it and then like how I came to where I am now.
It's like I grew up in the South and like with yes ma'am, no ma'am, like we don't say those words.
Well then I lived three years in Australia and like their words that we think are wrong are not wrong to them.
And like so that really like challenged me to be like, oh, I'm in a different culture.
and like these words are acceptable here.
And so then when I came back, like, now, wait, they're not okay here.
And so like that challenged me to like go to the word.
Yeah.
And not just like what was culturally acceptable.
That's good.
And like Ephesians 4, like whatever you say, you know, let it be something to lift up,
not tear down.
And like you're a witness too.
And I think that's where I came to it.
Like I had two different experience.
One where, hey, these words are okay in this culture.
but they're not okay in this culture.
And like, you need to be respectful of the culture that you're in.
And, like, how do other people perceive your words?
Yeah.
Like, that's what matters.
Because, like, I could come back to Louisiana and be like, well, in Australia,
they can say this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What offends people here?
Yeah.
That's what matters.
Yeah.
If that makes any sense.
No, that makes sense.
That's good, Haley.
That's really good.
Ephesians 4.
You're talking about 29.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths,
but only such as that is good for building up as it fits,
the occasion that it may give grace for those who hear it. It's so good. The Bible talks so much
about what comes out of our mouth. And for me, I've always felt like when you don't cuss,
it's like one of the biggest thing, like the easiest way to set you apart. You know, like people
notice it. Whenever like the words that you say, they bless, they build up, they're encouraging.
And the thing for me, I'll say, I have not struggled with that as much in my life of like
wanting to cuss or feeling tempted to. But I also am.
so strict on what I listen to and watch. And I will say it's not from a place of like this
religious strictness of like, oh, I can't, I can't. I genuinely don't want to. And that kind of
came from before I started this podcast. I read the verse that talks about from the hearts of the
mouse shall speak. And I felt so convicted by it and really just like felt like that was my
accountability for what I was about to step into. Because I'm like, I'm about to talk with a
microphone in front of me for this many hours. And then I'm going up on stages and I'm talking and you never
know what's going to happen in a moment, what's going to throw you off, what's going to, you know,
rise up in you. And I just wanted to be, like, confident that there were good things stored in
my heart so that when I open my mouth, it was going to be something that was worth saying.
And so when I would watch shows, just like when you were in Australia, when that pattern
starts hitting your mind, like, it's fresh on the mind. So I've noticed when I've watched stuff or
listen to stuff where they use more language, I actually, like, think about that in my vocabulary,
where I'm like, oh, I almost just said that, but like, that's not even something I say.
And sometimes it would be, like, not even bad things.
Like, I listen to a podcast, and this guy's, like, very wise, but he cusses a lot.
And then I notice, I'm like, oh, I almost said that, you know?
And so I have to be, I, you know, have that boundary for myself, like, okay, I don't
even listen to a lot with that because I just don't want that to come out.
So I would say to the girl who asked that question, maybe ask yourself, like, why is it so
top of mind?
Is it because of your cultural environment?
Is it because of the songs you're listening to?
Is it because of the shows you're watching?
And if you notice, man, every show I'm watching is dropping F bombs.
Every podcast I'm listening to is saying this, that, and the other.
All of my friends gossip, then it's no wonder that you gossip.
No wonder that you, you know, have those words in the forefront of your mind.
And so you're going to have to be intentional about, you know, removing yourself from some of that.
Be careful what you listen to.
Be careful what you watch.
Be careful what your environment is.
And I'm not saying step away from friends or anything like that because you can be a witness in it.
Even just start with what you're in control of.
The things you're turning on in your car, the things you're putting on and your headphones,
the things that you're watching on the TV because I think that's a really good place to start.
Yeah.
You have anything, Lidd?
No, y'all just, that was so good.
Everything y'all just said was so good.
And what you're talking about, Sadie, it's so true that, like,
what you're listening to, what you're watching, like, we just become numb to it.
Like, I see that in myself in more ways than just language.
But, like, we just, it becomes so normal.
Like, because I talk about this a lot, like, and y'all probably feel this way.
Like, when you're watching a show, like, I feel like I know them.
I feel like I'm like, you know what I mean?
Like, I'm like, man, I, like, I just know them.
Like, if I'm watching Gilmore girls, I'm like, that's my girl, you know?
Like, I'm like, I'm in it.
Yeah.
And so you become numb to that environment because they're not your friends, but they feel like
your friends at home.
You know what I'm saying?
And so that's just so real because like what your intaking really does, like, it impacts
you so much more than the world, like, views it.
And I also love how you said you have to be really intentional about it because you do.
Like, it's not normal to be intentional about the shows you're putting on your TV.
And it's not normal to be intentional about the music you're listening to on a daily basis.
And like that word is like that is what it is, is intentionally choosing.
to be set apart and intentionally choosing to put in good because you want to make the change.
Like if that's what you struggle with, then see that, recognize it.
And like she admitted it.
Like she says, this is my struggle.
And that's great.
Like, this is my struggle.
And so now, like, okay, practical ways.
Like, be intentional about noticing why is that top of mind.
I love how you said that.
And it's not even just like, because I think you can convince yourself, well, this isn't bad and everybody's watching it.
yeah, but if it's affecting you in a negative way, then it's wrong for you.
Yes, it's personal conviction.
It's personal conviction.
Even for me, like, and this is not something I'm boycotting or saying you shouldn't watch,
but I'm just saying this is a good example.
So like my kids love Bluey, and I love Bluie.
Bluey is like the sweetest kid show.
It always has like a sweet little message at the end of it, and it's very cute.
But Bluey and Bingo oftentimes have attitudes of their parents, and they're very like
whining at times.
and they'll be like, oh, boring, like back to their dad.
Well, all of the sudden, Haven starts saying, boring.
And I'm like, excuse me, where did you hear that word?
That's a cuss word in our house.
Because if you're bored, I'll find something for you to do.
Thank you very much.
So I'm like, what is this?
And then they started saying, there were some other things that they were saying.
They always say it was just as funny, but they'll be like, oh, cheese and sprinkles, all biscuits.
And I realize, like, all of their language is coming from Bluie because that's when I'm letting them watch the most.
Now, I don't think Blueie's bad.
I don't even think that Bluey's bad for them.
But the amount that they were watching it was totally shaping their behavior,
which is a good reminder that it's the same for us.
Like, whatever we're consuming a lot of, it's shaping our behavior.
Whatever our influences are, it is genuinely influencing the way you act,
the way that you talk, the friend that you are.
And so I wouldn't be surprised for who called in if you stop and just say,
what are the shows I'm watching right now?
What are the podcasts I'm listening to?
what are the friends who have the biggest voice in my life?
You're probably going to see real quickly the pattern.
You're like, oh, okay, that might be why I talk like this, you know.
Yeah.
All right, that's so good.
There's so many needs in the world that it can feel hard sometimes to know
where your support is actually making a difference.
That's one reason why I love the work.
Love One International is doing in Uganda.
Love One steps in for children suffering from severe malnutrition.
It helps provide the medical care, nutrition, and hands-on support they need to
recover. And they don't just help for a moment and move on. Their team stays involved throughout the
child's recovery from those first critical stages all the way until they're healthy enough to go home.
The Love Club makes it possible to keep that care going constantly for just $20 a month. You're
helping Love Wine continue showing up with treatment, nutrition, and everyday care for these kids
in the moments when they really needed the most. And when you join, Love One will send you an exclusive
Love Club hat. I have it right here as a little reminder of the difference that you are making
in this community. And y'all, it really is amazing. If you've ever seen a kid with malnutrition,
it is the saddest thing ever. And just knowing that you actually could help with that for $20.
I mean, you can make a massive impact, literally save a life with this. And so $20 a month is going
a long way. You're not just signing up for another thing. You're literally helping save lives
month after month. Join the love club today and become the heartbeat of the Love One mission.

Hi, I'm calling to seek advice on substance abuse such as alcohol and weed.
I am 21 and have kind of grown up around alcohol abuse and alcohol is a large part of the social culture here in Wisconsin.
I do occasionally drink at social events with friends and have noticed in the last few months especially it's kind of become even more of the normal thing to drink more with friends.
and I've even tried weed a few times recently,
and I have found that I feel more carefree and fun
when using these substances and found myself kind of longing for the substances
due to essentially how it makes me feel, and that worries me.
And I just would appreciate some guidance into what scripture says,
and if occasional usage is okay and what that looks like,
or if it's all something that should be completely abstained from.
Appreciate your help so much.
Thanks for your time.
Bye.
Oh, that's so good.
That is.
I love the honesty of going, like, honestly, whenever I do these things,
I feel more carefree and I feel more fun.
And, like, I don't like the way that I'm now depending on it to feel that way.
Like, that's so real.
So I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts.
Yeah, I love this question.
And I, it kind of what we just said, even about,
part of what we just brought up with the swearing is even with this question I feel like it does
come to a personal conviction also you know um to the extent of where you want to go and I'll just kind of
share my my experience and my story with um with alcohol and substances and um one one story so for those
who don't know my husband is actually um he's completely sober and so he's been sober for eight years now
and so he was sober when I met him and at the time I was not I was not sober and I'm not
sober now technically, you know. But at the time, I still thought it was okay to just have a
couple of drinks here and there, and I would. And just, again, to share a vulnerable story
is when we were, we had not started dating yet. We were, we were best friends. We were on
our way to dating, but we had not actually started dating yet. And I actually got really drunk
at a wedding on accident, on accident. But I actually got really drunk at a wedding. And, and,
And he was the one who was taking me home.
And he, you know, it was just, you know, it was no good.
No good.
Let's just leave it now.
It was just no good because of what I had been drinking, you know.
And so he was great.
He was so respectful.
He took care of me, brought me home.
And, you know, and that was it.
And then the next morning I woke up with so much shame, so much guilt, so much regret.
Like I just was like, why did I do that, you know, embarrassment?
And which came a lot of times when I drank those feelings all would come.
the next morning and went to church the next morning and Reeves was up leading worship on stage.
I was sitting in the church like again shame, regret filled with all of that.
And the next day we had a conversation where he just was real with me and he said,
you know, I'm not telling you that you have to be sober with me because I'm sober.
He's like, I don't think you have to be completely sober.
But I am telling you that if you're going to be my wife one day, I expect you to drink responsibly
100% of the time.
No questions asked, you know, point blank.
period. And I heard him and that was the last time I ever drank that night was the last time I ever
drank and the Lord used that to, I've had like a drink maybe at dinner once like, you know,
but at this point I don't even do that anymore. And it's because that's just kind of how the
Lord has worked on my heart and in my own conviction is like he brought me to that place of I don't
want to depend on that at all, like at all. And recognizing in myself that it was a dependency that I did,
I did want to get tipsy.
And I was actually sharing this with Kaylee yesterday.
We were in the car, like we said, for seven hours yesterday.
And so we had a lot of conversations.
And I know myself and I can admit, you know, the way that I felt was, okay, I could have a drink.
But why am I going to have a drink if I'm not going to get tipsy, you know?
And so if I feel that way, if I'm drinking to get that feeling, I don't want to want that feeling.
So I might as well order Shirley Temple.
Yeah.
You know.
And that's where the Lord brought me to was a conviction of I just don't want to need it at all or wanted it all.
Yeah.
And he put that conviction on my heart.
Again, Reeves didn't tell me I had to do that.
Like, he did not ask me to be sober with him.
But that's where the Lord led me to from my own conviction and my own desires in my heart, my own intentions with drinking with alcohol.
And then also, I'll wrap up and let you all talk to.
Oh, it's so good.
I also really had a strong conviction to be, like we talked about with swearing, like to be a witness.
And I don't want to ever be the cause of someone else's confusion.
And that was really big.
That was like a huge conviction that I have felt.
Because since I graduated from college, I've worked with college students.
And I've worked really closely with college students.
And I early on had a strong conviction.
I don't want to be.
And again, I'm not saying this to cause shame for anyone who does this.
because I don't necessarily think that this is sin.
But for me, my conviction is I don't want to be at a Mexican restaurant with a margarita
and one of my girls I disciple walk in and be like, wait, how many has she had?
Is she, you know, like, I don't want there to ever be a question.
And that was a conviction the Lord put on me to, like, I need to practice what I preach 100% of the time too.
And so he put that on my heart also.
It's like, I don't want them to walk in and be like, well, what if she?
What if has she?
Like maybe it is just one, but they don't know that.
Like maybe I'm not, you know.
And so he's, the Lord has placed strong convictions on my heart that I sought though.
Like I prayed for him to do that and for him to change my desires in my heart and place those convictions in me and he did.
And so, yeah.
That's so helpful.
That's so good.
I think for me, I love what you, I love what Reeve said, like you have to do this responsible 100% of the time, you know.
because it will lead to shame and regret each time that you cross that boundary.
Like, it's fun and carefree in the moment until the next morning, you know?
And then you're like, what did I do?
You're confused, like all the things and like regretting decisions you made because
you weren't making them in your right mind.
And I think it's so important as believers to be in our right mind because we literally
hosts the presence of God.
Like you God, the Lord talks a lot about like drunkenness, like nothing to do with don't
don't be drunk, but also Jesus drank wine with his friends.
And so there's a way to do it responsibly all the time.
Jesus was perfect.
He had no sin and he drank wine.
And so I think that there is a way to do it healthy.
And then there is obviously a way to do it destructively.
And I think you have to know yourself.
I think you have to also know your family history.
Is it something that runs in our family?
There's a lot of alcoholism in our family.
There's something I'm very aware of.
I've also seen like so many sad things come from like the grip that alcohol has had.
and that being something that my family members at time have turned to,
and they've been honest about their stories and share them,
my grandpa being one of them.
And I'm like,
I see that in me that I can have an addictive personality at times with things.
And that's like good things, you know?
I just like,
I want to do the same thing again, you know?
Yeah.
And so I'm like,
oh,
I don't want that to ever become on a bad thing, you know?
And I think, too,
in the question that I love how you said,
like,
I feel more carefree with it.
And I like that feeling,
so I'm starting to depend on it.
And I think that's when you know it's in a bad place.
Because if a drink is a drink because you want to have a drink, that's okay.
But if a drink is something you depend on for a feeling that you actually can get within the Lord,
then you don't want to put anything else in the Lord's place.
And it can actually become an idol.
It's like if I'm dependent on a drink to feel carefree, then I've lost the ability to find freedom in the Lord.
you know and so instead of putting that in the drink pray before you go lord i want to be carefree i want to
be like a daughter who is free of the insecurity of the girls around me i want to be confident in who you
created me to be i want to be fun because you filled me with joy and then go in and without any dependence
but fully in the presence of god your freedom your joy your confidence one it will witness to others
And two, it'll be something that actually fills you up that you won't regret the next day.
And I think that's where I've found for me, like, if a drink becomes anything but a drink, you know, then I shouldn't drink it.
Yeah.
And, like, I feel like my journey with alcohol is also, like, an interesting one because I grew up in the South.
I had never had a sip of alcohol until I was 21.
Like, I thought alcohol was wrong again.
Then I go to Australia.
I learned a lot in Australia.
and it's so normal even in the church there,
like to have glass wine in Australia.
So I was like, oh, okay.
And then I'm like studying the Bible.
I'm like, okay, biblically, like it's not wrong.
Drunkenness is wrong.
Well, then I think my freedom became a bondage where I thought,
oh, I can do this.
Wow.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And like I'm fighting to have this freedom, but I'm actually in bondage.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And so like there was a season of my life.
We were talking about this yesterday.
they're like, I'm shameful up because, like, I'm in youth ministry and I'm also, like, on the
weekend, like, pushing the line with alcohol. And, like, the Lord convicted me of that. And, like,
no, you're not going to walk in this. Like, I'll give it up. If it's, if it's going to call someone
to stumble or if it's going to become a stronghold in my life, it's not worth it to me to fight for
this freedom. And so I actually haven't had alcohol in three years. And, like, that's a personal
conviction that I'm like, I am operating in the spirit. I'm ministering to people and I just don't
even want to allow the devil to have a foothold in my life. Now, everybody has a different conviction.
I also made that decision with my husband after we had a miscarriage because I was like,
this is a really sad time in my life. And I don't want to turn down. Yeah, you don't want to pin.
And then it was just like, I don't need it after we got through that season. I was pregnant.
It's like, it's not something that I need.
I don't shame anybody because I actually do not believe it's wrong when you're responsibly.
But then the weed thing, this is where I'll go into like marijuana because she asks about that too.
It's like alcohol is something that you can have a glass and not be drunk.
Weed is something that you smoke and you're high.
Yeah.
Like you cannot do it responsibly.
Yeah.
And like you will not be in your right mind.
Like the Bible says to be sober minded.
Yes.
You are not sober minded when you smoke.
That's good.
So, like, that's where I would draw the line.
But the thing with the enemy is, like, it goes back to the freedom.
Well, I can, I can, I can.
Well, then you're in bondage.
Yeah.
And so, like, just why even go there?
Why fight for freedom that's not actually freedom?
It's bondage.
That's great.
That's so good.
I want to pull up some scriptures since we're talking about this, and it's so good.
And we've referenced.
And I love how the one on drunkenness.
It's like, don't be drunk with mine.
Instead, be filled with the spirit.
It tells you what to replace it.
I want to be filled with the spirit.
Like every day I walk around, I want to like ooze his spirit.
Yeah.
That's so much better.
On the page.
Ephesians 518 and do not get drunk with wine for that is debauchery, but be filled with
the spirit.
That's kind of what we were just talking about with that, with the girl.
It's like, don't depend on the darkiness of wine to go in and to have fun, but replace
that with being filled with the spirit.
Don't also just go in and be like, okay, I'm just going to try to resist for this.
No, fill yourself up.
Yes.
Fill it with the right thing.
That's going to give you a true freedom.
So good.

fly. It's um actually this is crazy with first peter five stay alert watch out wait wait a minute
I think I got the wrong one but it was strong no no no no okay okay it was a different I was in the wrong
translation so many times I was like here it is I thought that was good too okay okay okay okay
all so true it says first peter five eight be sober minded
Be watchful.
Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a royal lying, seeking someone to devour.
So, like, that's a warning.
Like, okay, we have a real enemy.
Like, you think you're strong.
Be careful.
The Bible says you're about to fall.
Like, we need to know we're human.
We have weaknesses.
And we need to have boundaries in our lives that protect us because anybody could fall.
Yes.
Yes.
So, like, let's just be filled with the spirit.
let's be sober-minded and let's be ready for battle.
That's great.
That's great.
I love how.
Somebody said it was like marriage advice, like never say never in the sense of like,
never said, I would never have an affair.
Like I would never get drunk.
I would never.
Don't get that confident in yourself.
If you get that comment at yourself, you just stop being on guard with your boundaries
and going like, no, actually I'm a human and I could get to that point in my humanity
and in my sinful nature.
And so it's like actually you got to stay alert.
You got to stay sober-minded.
You have to be clear at thinking.
And I hate feeling out of control.
Like, I hate feeling.
So I don't like, that feeling of drunkenness actually scares me.
I'm like, oh, I don't want to feel that way out.
I want to be able to be alert, be in a situation, be sober-minded.
Because there's such a confidence that comes from being sober-minded, being able to feel like,
no, I hear your voice, Lord.
And I can discern a situation.
And so this is good.
This is real good.
Oh, that's good.
Yes.
Hey, Sadie.
I would just like you.
to kind of talk about just sexual sin, especially like I'm in high school,
and me and my boyfriend just kind of struggle with sexual sin.
He thinks that as long as we're not having sex, we can do other stuff.
I don't think that, but I don't really have any evidence kind of in the Bible to back it up
because most Bible verses just talk about adultery and sex itself.
Can you please answer that question of what is sin and what's not sin
and have stuff to back it up?
Thank you.
This is good.
We're getting for real, y'all, and turn into some scripture.
Wow.
I just love hearing the purity in her voice.
So pure.
So pure.
And just to admit that and to like to say like this is where I'm at, like we are struggling,
but to hear that like desire for purity in her voice is just so refreshing and just so sweet.
And like I just want to say that.
Like the Lord sees her.
He sees you if you're in that.
If you're in the season of I'm struggling.
and my boyfriend is not on the same page with me.
Like, he sees you in that.
And, like, he loves the purity of your heart.
And I'm thankful she's asking this.
And I pray that she hears this and listens to this
because the Lord doesn't want to leave her in that.
And he wants to protect that purity and to keep that purity whole,
you know, because the world can steal that purity from us.
And so I just love hearing that in her voice.
I just want to say that before we even get into the answer.
Like, to hold on to that purity and give it to Jesus.
Like, he wants her to be.
remain with that for the rest of her life, you know.
It's beautiful.
Can I put on my youth pastor hat for a second?
Put it on.
Put it on.
Baby girl, I don't know if you're listening right now, but I want to talk to her because, like,
even her saying, like, her boyfriend doesn't think it is, and she obviously is feeling this
Holy Spirit check.
Convection, yeah.
Like, let me tell you, girl, love says, I want to take something from you.
And love says, I want to give to you.
I want to protect you.
Love protects.
And so, like, even the fact that he's pushing you.
means that this is not the guy.
God wants you to be with.
He's not in the place.
And this season, I don't know what the future holds,
if the Lord gets a hold of him.
But, like, if he's making you do things
that you're uncomfortable with,
that is not right.
And, like, that is a check from the Holy Spirit
that you're asking the question.
And, like, love wants to protect you,
guard you.
And, like, true love wants you to live without regrets.
And, like, I could even hear her.
She's like, I feel bad about this.
Like, I don't want to do these things.
And that's not real love.
Yeah, no.
that's so good, Kaylee. And I will say I struggled with this so much in high school. I dated different
people and that same kind of language was the exact same language I remember hearing. This is not
wrong because we're not having sex. The Bible just says don't have sex and, you know, where's the
boundary line? And it's a gray area, so we're not really sure. And I totally fell in that. And I feel
like I convinced myself like, yeah, this is not wrong, but my conviction told me this is wrong,
you know, just like you would feel after you would get drunk the next day, I would feel so shameful,
so regretful, be like, we got to get back on track, you know, like I don't like that or whatever,
but then I would be so easily swayed by less, so easily swayed by a moment. And I just think
that, like Lydia said, like your heart is so pure. And I would say scripture, one of the best
scriptures I think of is in Song of Solomon.
It's actually, I think that Matt Chandler wrote about this, and I can't remember the exact
scripture, but it's like, don't awaken love before it's time.
And I think that's so good because it kind of says it all.
It's not saying, don't do this, this, and that.
Don't awaken love before it's time.
And I think if I look back at the people I dated, I just, it was awakening love before it
was time, but the wrong person.
And now that I'm married to Christian, I'm like, oh, you.
You know, I wish I would have stood up for myself back then and been like, no, I wish I would have followed that conviction and been like, no, like, it's not time yet.
There will be a time.
And then this will be good.
And this will be in the context of good.
But now it is not the time.
What does they say about sex like a fire?
Like, whenever it's in the right place and contain like it's beautiful.
But if it's not in the right place, it is so destructive.
And I would just say, like, I know it feels so scary to end a relationship like that where you're obviously emotionally.
attached to him, physically attached to him, but you will not regret making a decision to end that
relationship and move forward for the right love. And when it is the time when there's a ring on your
finger and this is the man that you're going to marry, it's going to be so beautiful and you're not
going to be feeling that shame or confusion that you're feeling now. And I think that's so much what
the enemy does. Like there's so much confusion where like God is not a confusing God. And I think so
walked in a world, but it is confusing because it's a gray area. But it's not. He's so kind that he's
given us his Holy Spirit inside of us to convict us and to say like, that's wrong. That's not your best.
I have better for you. And yeah, I just think that you know the answer. You just don't want to admit it.
I love what Kaylee said about the drinking that, you know, so often, I don't know exactly how you
worded it, but so often we think that we're fighting for freedom, but actually we're living in bondage
by doing that.
And I see that so much in this area.
I see it in all of these areas.
Everything we've talked about so far,
we think we're fighting for freedom.
But really, you're just putting yourself in bondage,
like fully putting yourself in bondage.
And, oh, that was just, that's so good and so true
that the world tells you this is freedom.
This is, this is good.
This is what you want.
But it is so damaging to your soul and to who you are.
And that's why, like, hearing her purity, like,
I mean, I've shared my story a thousand times.
on here and we joke about it, but it's so real. Like, that purity was taken from me. And, like,
because I allowed it to be, I remember being the girl in high school with dating the guys and
saying, like, I know this is wrong. I don't want to do this, but I would give in. I know this
is wrong. I don't want to do this. I would give in. And I continue to give in, continue to give in.
And that purity did leave me. Like, I came to a point where eventually I didn't have that heart of
purity in me anymore. Like, the conviction would still, it would still, it would still really,
appear, you know, like it would still come, but at a certain point, like, that innocence and that
purity of truly wanting to do what was right kind of just left me. And I was fighting for that
freedom, which was really bondage. You numb it. Yes, you numb that. Yes, I numb. You sear your
consciousness. Yes. You don't feel that anymore. And you need to be grateful that you do feel that.
It's just, and I also want to speak to the girl or the guy, probably mostly girls, but the girl who's
listening who is in that place where that purity has. They don't have that purity anymore. They don't
have that heart of innocence that I also can speak from full experience that the Lord can restore
that purity. And he can restore that heart of innocence because again, he did that in me. Like,
I just, it's just, I'm so grateful for my story and I truly can sit here on this couch today and
say, like, I have no shame from my past. I have no regret and guilt because of how I've seen the Lord
use it. Would I write the same story for myself again? Probably not, but I'm so grateful for it.
And I really and truly, I can share this all so confidently because I don't have shame because
the Lord's freed me so truly from it. And he did restore my purity. He did restore that in me.
And so, you know, it's not too late for the girl who's listening who feels like it is.
And for the girl who still has that purity, don't give it away. Don't let it go.
Like, oh, he's just so much better.
He is so much better than what the freedom that the world tries to convince us is free.
Like, it's not free.
It's chains.
It's so good.
He is so much better.
It's so good.
And the more you, like give in in those areas, like Lydia said, you kind of become numb to it.
And you get to the point, and I'm speaking from experience in high school, I remember getting to a point where it's like, well, if I'm already doing this and like, why don't I just have sex?
You know, like you start to then ask yourself the further question.
And I remember, like, in high school.
you're thinking about like, what can I not do?
Or not even just in high school.
It's like, what are the gray areas?
Like, what's okay?
What's not okay?
And I can't do that.
I can't do that.
I can't do that.
And I remember like this reframing in my brain when a pastor was like, don't just look at it.
Like, I can't do that.
Look at it like, Lord, I see that you've made such a beautiful design for sex within marriage.
Give me a heart to want to do it the way that you designed it.
And the way, when you start thinking about like, oh, it's not just I can't,
but it's a desire to do it God's will.
It's like so much easy.
because you're not just like denying yourself, like you're saving yourself for something beautiful.
And I remember like back in high school self being like, I don't even like care so much anymore
because you've gotten like numb to it. But then by the time the Lord just did so much in my heart and I met Christian,
I cared so much. I was like, I care so much that we do this God's way. And it was like way more
beautiful picture of I think what, how to live that out. Kaley, do you have some scripture?
Yeah, I pulled up. Second Timothy 22. It says run from anything.
that stimulates youthful lust.
There it is.
You want a boundary?
Does it stimulate a youthful lust?
Jonathan,
I think he says,
if your body is preparing for sex,
it's too far.
I mean, and there's a lot of things
that is in that category.
And it says,
instead, pursue righteous living,
faithfulness, love, and peace
and enjoy the companionship
of those who call on a Lord
with pure hearts.
And I'll just speak from someone
who, me and my husband
waited for marriage. Like I was almost 25 and he was 29 and we had never even like had sex
before. And I think there's a narrative in the world that would make us look like losers because we
hadn't. Yeah. But it was so special. And it is special. So for the girl who is out there waiting,
like just know like it is worth the weight. And for the girl who hasn't know that God can redeem.
But I'll just say like, just know that sometimes your rejection is your protection.
Like the fact that that person didn't ask you out or that you said this is the boundary and they leave you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you, Lord.
Thank you, Lord.
Yes.
Thank you, Lord.
Because there are so many things I could look back in high school.
I didn't get invited on that date or I didn't get asked at that party.
I'm like, you know what I missed out on regret?
You know what I missed out on shame?
Like, God was protecting me and because I just walked in this way.
And like I have this story, not that I'm perfect, but I'm like, you know, I enjoyed the
companionship of those who called on the Lord.
And so while you're in high school, while you're in college,
instead of like just going off into relationships,
because I feel like sometimes we're dating too young.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't.
Yeah.
But you're going to the store and looking around and you'll have money.
That's good.
You can't get married.
Come on you faster.
So like you're putting yourself in a situation.
It's a great galey.
Where you have to have so much self-control and you're 15.
That's yeah.
So like, instead of like focusing on finding your person,
not that you can't, I have had friends and
high school who married their high school school's
I'm not saying it's impossible.
Yeah.
But it's hard.
It's not hard.
It is.
No,
that is so good.
Focus on friendship.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's what I did.
I had so many good friends.
Yeah.
And so like I was fulfilled through the Lord and his people.
Yeah.
And like God brought my person and he'll bring your person.
But like focus on the community.
And then you'll be in the community.
You're like, oh, that guy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's something there.
And me and my husband were companions for three years.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You and race.
We're companions.
You know.
And then.
the Lord just like opened our eyes.
Yes.
That's great.
I love this.
People ask me about like singleness and how to do it well.
And I'm always like, well, I can't tell you how to do it well from experience.
I can tell you how to do it well from not doing it right.
Yeah.
But when I hear people like you and like your story, I'm like, oh, man, what a beautiful way to do life.
And I'm not going to sit here and be like, oh, I regret everything I did.
Because obviously look at what the Lord has done.
He redeems things.
He makes things new.
However, what is saving a whole lot of heartbreak?
You know?
And so it's so inspiring to.
hear your story and be like, what a beautiful way to walk it.
You know, that's awesome. So cool. Okay, one more.
Hi, Sadie. My name is Becca. My question is, I recently experienced a miscarriage with my first
pregnancy and I'm still navigating some complications months afterward. It took me a long time
and a lot of faith to realize that I did want to be a mom and to start to ignore our family.
And now I'm right in the middle of so much that I was afraid of. This has been the hardest thing I've ever
had to go through physically and mentally, and I'm back to questioning if motherhood is the right
path for me. I'm also struggling to feel or fear God through this situation when I need his
guidance now more than ever. And I just don't know how to move forward from here and would love any
advice. Thank you. Wow. I am so thankful that you called in and shared that. I will say I can relate
so much to that I need him more than ever, but I am like, I don't even know how to call out to him.
because I feel like I've gone through times in my life, even like what we went through with Kit.
I was like so dependent on him, but I was having such a hard time sitting with him, praying, reading.
And I don't know all the answers as to why.
Like I couldn't sit with him.
I think I was a little bit afraid of it in some sense to like go to him again with something that felt so big and so scary, even though I know he's good, but it felt intimidating.
So I can just empathize with like that can feel, that's a normal.
thing even though it's like man i know i'm fully dependent on him but it's really hard to talk about this
it's really hard to have faith in this when things just went that way um but i'm thankful that you
ask that and with kaley on because kaley's song i remind myself the ella worship's been leading has been a
huge song of faith and hope and love uh for people walking through your story so you want to talk a little bit
yeah um i'm like tearing up because i just like remember losing my first baby boy
and it was our first child.
And like, I'm thinking about that grief.
And I've heard this said that sometimes the greater the pain, the fewer the words.
And just, like, it's just so, like, sorrowful.
And, like, everybody experiences it differently.
Everybody's miscarriage is different.
Like, why it happened, when it happened, first kid, fourth kid.
So that's another part of miscarriage that can make it feel so isolating.
because even if you had a miscarriage and I had a miscarriage,
like we could have totally different stories, you know.
But just knowing that you're not alone and God is with you
and let it take however long it is, it needs to take.
Like if you need to cry for six months, cry for six months
and, like, get around people who love you and will listen.
Like, I'm not even joking.
It took me almost a year to, like, heal from the loss and the grief.
and the questions and the unknowns.
That's why I remind myself is so real
because we just say the thing.
Where do I start?
How will this end?
I don't know God.
And all the unanswered prayer that I'm praying again.
Like every month I'm praying God,
will you take this depression away?
Will you take this anxiety away?
Will you let us conceive another baby?
And every month I feel like you're not answering.
But like, I'm going to keep pray in the unanswered prayer.
I'm going to keep bringing the grief to you.
And I'm also going to keep reminding myself
that you're faithful and you see me.
And I got around women who had had miscarriages.
I got around women like y'all who hadn't, but were with me.
Like my friends did a meal train for us.
Like we were really loved on and surrounded.
And I kept showing up sad.
I kept showing up broken.
I think sometimes like in the middle of a storm,
we want to pull over and like stop showing up.
And like I'll go back to church.
I'll get back in the community when I'm better.
When I have the miracle, like,
Maybe when I can see even I'm pregnant, then I'll come to my friend's house and we'll all hang out and have fun.
Like, I showed up just as I was.
And, like, keep showing up just where you are to the people who love you.
Keep showing up to God.
Keep showing up to church.
And, like, I cried through service every week.
I was on staff at a church and I would go kneel.
Nobody's even at the altar.
And I would kneel and just weep.
There were moments, like, I hope it doesn't sound dramatic.
But, like, that I couldn't even stand in worship.
Because the grief felt so hard.
Like, God, where are you?
I believed.
I prayed.
I did all the right things.
And I couldn't even stand, but I was there.
And I let the Lord minister to me.
And, like, he gave me strength when I had no strength.
And, like, I think you said it, Sadie recently of just, like, when I am weak, then I am strong.
And, like, in your weakness, he really is strong.
And, like, he meets you in this place.
And now I look back to that season.
And it's, like, tender.
like I get emotional about it, but also the Lord is close to the broken heart.
And he was so close in that season.
And sometimes I'm like, I'm in a season.
My daughter now that I have, her name is Joy.
Like she's a miracle story.
And like, I'm just living life when an 18 month old and life is good.
And I'm also like, I kind of miss that season in a weird way because I miss the closeness that God was.
I'm like, I'm not saying I need something hard to happen.
But I'm like, the dependency.
When you're desperate for God like that, there's a sweetness there.
That, you know, even on the other side of eternity, like, we're not going to have pain.
So, like, when we worship in our pain, we're giving God an offering that we can only give on this side.
Yeah.
Wow.
And so, like, getting him that offering and just know you're not alone.
And he redeems all things.
He restores all things.
It might not even look like it now.
But I had to get to the point, too, when, like, God, even if you don't grow our family in the way that I want,
I still love you.
I still trust you.
And because we wrote this song called Walk With You.
And like I was convicted right in it because it just said like every day I choose to seek
you over and over.
It's my joy.
I just want to walk with you.
And like halfway through this like grief, Miss Care's Journey, wanting to get pregnant again,
like I just started idolizing a child.
And I realized the only reason I was going to God was for that.
And then I had to like course track.
No, God.
Every day I choose to seek you.
I don't choose to seek you because I want a baby.
I'm choosing to seek you because I love you.
Right.
And what's funny is, when I took that turn, I left that trip and got pregnant.
Wow.
And it's like so funny because it's like, I'm not saying that that's why, but I'm like,
I finally was like, God, I just want you.
Yeah.
I'm sorry.
I'm like convicted.
I'm going to seek you.
And then I end up getting pregnant.
But all that to say is it was a journey.
Like I didn't start at that prayer the month after my marriage, not even six.
months after my miscarriage. And God loves you and he's with you through it all. So like when you're
grieving, when you're mad, when you're angry, when you need to repent because you're making it about
the wrong thing, like just go on the journey with the Lord and bring your tears to him.
It's so good, Kaylee. It's a long answer. Oh, it was so good. I was taking a lot of mental notes
in that for myself because I've done that. Like I idolized in prayer like my kids' health because I just like
was constantly praying that everyone would be healthy after going through some things that we've
been through. And it's like, I don't want to just like come to you and keep asking that like everyone is
healthy. Like I can stay on edge. I just want to like come to you and trust you. And I felt the same way.
Because I feel like when we first go and through the kid stuff, when it was like the most intense,
the Lord was the most near. And I felt that and I experienced that. And then it was actually like the months
following it that got harder and harder and harder for me and like the Lord because he does comfort.
the broken hearted.
And there was a nearness that was like such an assurance.
Even in like such uncertainty, there was like an assurance in him.
And I truly felt him.
And it was like the first like even in the midst of bad things, I was just declaring his goodness, declaring his faith, when it's declaring he's here.
Then two months later, I'm like struggling so much and like having a hard time praying, have a hard time sitting with him, having time feeling him.
And that doesn't mean he's not there.
And it doesn't mean he's not still so good.
It's just a matter of like, I think I got a really distracted, you know, and started just getting like more fearful and all the different things.
And so everything you're saying, I'm like, ooh, I need to hear that. That's so good. And then even thinking about the words that I remind myself, like, I've heard it so many times. And I've even heard you tell the story. But even that was like a fresh revelation of like the unanswered prayers. Like, that's hard to keep praying unanswered prayers, but to trust that like it's still worth praying them. And God really is hearing. And he's,
with us. And so that was beautiful.
And he answers, thank y'all. He answers like we don't always expect.
Yeah. Like, you know, I would have prayed, you know, I was on bed rest the week before I had
my miscarriage of God. I was praying like, God, keep my baby safe. Like, you know, heal him,
whatever's going on. Well, the answer God wasn't the answer I was praying for. But now I just
think about every time we share that story and like the song, like I thought, is, does anybody know
about my son's life? Does it matter? Like, what? Why would.
I even pregnant for 14 weeks, you know? But I'm like, God is using my son's life. And like,
you think about what you have gone through with Kit. Like so many people have reached out.
They've had similar experiences. And now you minister in a different way. And so like, I'm not
saying God, like, made that happen. I'm just saying God uses everything. It puts purpose to it.
Yes. And so for the girl who's walking through her miscarriage, like, I don't know how God's going to
answer. I don't know how he's going to use it. But I know he will. It's really beautiful.
It's good, y'all.
This was good.
This was rich.
This was the definition of, whoa, that's good.
I'm not just saying it.
John Chris made fun of me for saying, well, it's good to my own stuff.
But it's real.
It's the real.
It's good.
It's so good.
It is so good.
Well, I love y'all so much.
Thanks for tuning.
