You've heard me talk about hungry root for a while now.
And honestly, the reason I keep coming back is because hunger root makes food feel so much less chaotic in my house.
I don't have to sit down every week and spiral over, you know, what all we need?
What's healthy?
What does everybody need to eat all the things?
Hunger root just makes it so easy at middle time.
It learns what you like, what your goals are, any dietary needs.
And then it keeps getting more and more personal over time.
So the longer you use it, the more it feels like Hungaroo actually understands what you need.
Hungaroo has over 50,000 chef crafted recipes and over 1,000 grocery items.
Plus, everything you need comes right to your door, and a lot of the recipes are ready in
just 15 minutes, which is so perfect for just squeezing in a good meal during summertime.
We love Hungaroo.
It's honestly just like the best solution for our family right now because it's coming straight
to your door.
It's everything you need.
Every item that you get can be utilized for some meal and it helps you craft that meal.
It pretty much does like the next set for you for anything you need when it comes to
meal time.
And as a mom, that's such a big win.
you're going to love Hungaroo as much as I do for a limited time, get 40% off your first order,

I feel like there's seasons in life where you're just figuring out who you are,
what you actually want your life to look like.
Maybe you're even thinking about how to build a business from something that you already love,
and that's exactly where Shopify comes in.
Shopify gives you everything you need to go from having an idea to actually selling online all in one place.
Shopify has the tools to help build a beautiful online store and start selling fast.
And when someone is ready to buy, Shopify checkout makes it easier for them to finish the purchase.
When they come back, their details are already saved so it's literally one tap and they're done.
Shopify handles so much of the setup and checkout side, giving you more time to focus on actually growing your business,
connecting with customers, and bringing that big idea to life.
Shopify powers millions of businesses worldwide from huge names to very small businesses that are just
getting started. So if you've been wondering where your idea could become something real, Shopify
makes starting up feel way less overwhelming. I'm a big Shopify fan. First of all, L.O. uses Shopify

What's up, everybody? Happy Monday. I hope you're having a great start to your week, but I
literally promise you it is about to get so much better because we have one of the most fun
podcast I think we've ever put together. You guys are going to freak out if you're not already
watching on YouTube, but if you are listening, we have the Southern Mom Vault.
All of the podcast.
Yes.
Unfortunately not in their wigs, though.
We don't have any wigs today.
We didn't bring the wigs.
I mean, you didn't bring the wigs.
You're just at the hotel.
You should have brought you once a D.
No.
I would have 100% worn the Karen wig.
This podcast would all be done in carewigs.
But if we got serious, you'd see everybody.
You'd just start to, like, slowly put the wig down.
I'm so excited.
Devin and Sophia, y'all have been on the podcast individually before.
It's been a few years.
I feel like it's been like two years.
Yeah, because I don't even think we were in this studio yet.
Yeah, I don't.
It was virtual.
Yeah, and it was virtual.
That's crazy.
That sign was behind you.
Oh, that sign has followed me.
Yeah, the OG, the Live Original.
Thanks for noticing that.
It was me.
And I was actually, this was my old chair.
Oh, no way to you.
So we got some old by in the new.
We have Shelby here and Casey.
We have the whole crew.
I'm stoked, y'all.
Okay, the best way we can start this is,
is we have to get to the best piece of advice you've ever been given,
which is the question I ask everybody on my podcast,
because I feel like we have so much ground to cover.
So let's get some good advice going, ladies.
Devin, do you want to start, even though you have been on before?
I know.
And honestly, I should have went back and listened,
be like, what did I say last time?
Because a lot has changed in two years.
But I would say as of recent, the best piece of advice,
I actually got it through a book, just reading a book.
And so it has been to just to have, for me and my family, sit down and have one meal together,
even if it's not perfect, like a candlelit dinner, like that's not going to say,
but to pause your day and just to have a meal together because that's where we talk about deep things
or like with Ivy, whatever she did at school.
It just, I feel like creates a safe place.
Yeah.
And we don't have our phones at the table.
So it really just creates that intentional time and space.
to chat about our days and we say a rose and thorn.
So what is your happy of the day and then your thorn of the day?
And then that way we can talk about it.
It just creates that atmosphere for intentionality.
I love that.
And now it's not always perfect.
Mills always don't happen how we want it to, but I feel like just to have in mind,
like, okay, even if it's lunch or dinner or a quick breakfast together.
I love that.
That's so sweet.
That is something that our family has felt really passionate about as well,
because like Doug Dynasty, one of people's favorite parts of the show was our family dinner table scene.
And that was something that wasn't like, oh, this creative, genius idea, let's have a dinner, you know, together as a family and hold hands and pray.
That's just what we did.
And so many families around America were like, we want to start eating together as a family.
And it really is something you had to be intentional about, especially with littles.
Like, I underestimated how hard it was going to be to have a good meal together.
But we're the same way.
We always ask each other, what was your?
favorite part of the day. And it's just sweet because even if we only make it to that before Haven
gets up and runs away, like at least we had a prayer and your favorite part of the day. But I love that.
That's so good. What about you? So it's funny because Casey and I, we were talking about our advice
before and we have the same one. So it's just to. Yeah. Yeah. You go ahead. Okay. It's so one of my
best friends said this to me. And I think Allie Beth also says it, but it's do the next right thing.
in faith with excellence for the glory of God.
So that just basically means, like, we don't know what the future holds, but God does.
So just do the next right thing that's in front of you.
Even if it's something as small as I'm so tired and I know that, like, the Lord wants me to steward my home well, like, just get up and do a load of laundry.
Like, it can be something as simple as that, but just do the next right thing in faith with excellence and do it for the glory of God while you're doing it.
I love that.
It's so good because one of the things that people overthink so much is, like, what the future holds
and, like, what am I supposed to do next?
What's my next thing?
And we think about it, like, my next thing has to be this big thing.
And it's like, no, what's, like, literally just the next, right thing, like, today?
And I feel like that just simplifies things so much.
And it's, you're capable of doing that, you know?
Priscilla Shire says something really similar to that I love.
That's so good.
Yeah.
These women, they're goats.
So good.
Yep.
They've got it.
Sophia?
Mine's the same as what I shared last year, so I'll make it a little short.
It still stands.
So mine was to always use your testimony, no matter how small or big it may seem.
I share it with you a lot because my testimony is like more on the simple side of things.
And I always felt like it wasn't anything worth sharing because I didn't have some huge story to tell.
I felt like I could wrap my testimony up in 30 seconds.
But it was my husband who really told me, he was like, that can actually be really,
encouraging for people, especially parents, because my parents played like a huge role in my testimony
being the way it is because I just grew up always knowing the Lord and it was because of them,
really.
So it encourages me to try to give my kids the same testimony.
Obviously, I can't control what their testimony will be, but I hope to be able to play
like a huge role in it.
So no matter how small or big, I feel like your testimony can always impact somebody.
It's so good.
I remember when you said that and that resonated with so many people.
on the podcast because it's so true.
And I think we get like insecure about what our testimony is,
but it's like the powerful thing about your testimony
is not you in any of the stories.
It's about the blood of Jesus.
Like that's the power.
So whether the blood of Jesus is cleansing you from this crazy past
or cleansing you and making you new from, you know,
the simple things in life.
Like it's still so powerful and transformational.
So I know that brought like so many people, so much hope.
Okay, I love it.
It's always good to get started on advice.
Okay.
Y'all, I, okay, how old is everybody?
I'm just wondering.
I'll be 28, July 24th.
Okay, 28.
I'm 30.
30.
I am fixing to be 29.
29.
I'm 22.
Girl, are you really?
That's awesome.
Okay, I was 29.
So we're like the same age, but like, I don't know what has happened, but I don't know what's going on in the world.
Like, I'm behind.
I know this.
You just see it on?
See stuff on TikTok.
No, that's my problem is that I don't have TikTok.
And I think that, I mean, I have a account and my, you know, team helps me run it.
But I think that's where I miss everything.
But I have these girls in the office and they keep me updated.
So Claire's always like, and I'm like, okay.
We're just doing it.
It's like a clap.
Yeah.
A tiny clap.
It's almost like, it feels classy.
It does go a classy chic.
Yeah, go girl.
I imagine with you, your Karen wig, though.
We did.
We missed out if we did.
I don't know I want
actually I feel like Karen's a little more than that
yeah she feels like she is more
yeah was a little she was doing it so
good last night yeah she played the part
so when you wear a wig you don't just wear a wig
you embody the character
exactly like the whole we went into an ice cream
shop yeah and last night
it asked for the manager
no you didn't
I mean they knew yeah they know yeah because they were
in on it because you're Karen
yeah yeah
no that actually at the hotel the man
He just saw us and he was like, do y'all want to speak to the manager?
We didn't say anything.
And he asked.
She's like, is that a trend?
No.
No.
Oh, well.
It's a trend now.
Yeah.
But the dress up, I, the dress up.
We just kind of made it up.
Yeah.
We just started doing it.
Yeah.
That is the funniest thing ever.
I love it.
I just want to laugh.
I just want to laugh.
I just want to smile so much when we're together and being crazy like that.
It's just fine.
Like, we do it for us.
Mm-hmm.
It's fun.
It's medicine.
It's good for the soul.
It is.
Okay.
Okay, so tell me how you guys all met.
Who wants to get in?
Okay.
Okay, so we all met basically through social media because we're all from different areas and everything.
So who was the first to get on social media?
Hunter and Devon.
And then they got with a management company.
And then Casey and her husband started and y'all reached out, right?
And brought them into the same management company.
Then me and my husband started TikTok.
Hunter and Devin reached out.
Hunter and Devin were just the night.
This is little, they reached out to everybody.
They reached out to us because we didn't know what we were doing.
And we were like, what is management?
We don't need this or what is it.
And so we joined the management.
And then they started and we all went to them and said, you guys need to join our management.
It's kind of a pyramid scheme.
It's not even all about the management either.
The importance of like the management is because that's what like tied us together.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because it was more you called to kind of help us out with like what we were doing.
That's a real.
You need community.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
because it is like we talked about.
We were just talking about this right before.
Like, not everybody can't relate to that.
So that's actually super cool.
Yeah.
No, and so, and because somebody for, la la la, okay, sorry.
When we started, somebody had reached out to us, and it was, it meant a lot.
Like, they were looking out for us.
And just because when you get thrown into that overnight, it can be a lot.
It can be a little scary, overwhelming.
And so someone did that for us.
So then I was, I just wanted to return the favor.
So when I saw Casey and Casey, I was like, oh, my God.
gosh, you know, I just, well, I wanted to be her friend. And so that was part of it. And I just
was like, here's some advice. Started with advice. And then from there, it trickled. It's like zero to
100. We would have had to get it. Like, it was like, come stay the night. Yeah. We just,
Devin's like, come to death in and just come stay the night. Immediately. Like, I think it felt nice to
know, like, okay, these people are doing what we're doing. And it felt nice to relate. And
the sense of community. Yeah. Yeah. We all do the same thing. And so it's nice to be able to talk about.
Yeah. It's like coworkers.
Yeah.
But we just really hit it off all four of us.
And they've just always been so welcoming because that was the last one to come in.
And I was like, I'm so glad y'all just like welcome to me.
It's really sweet.
How many years has it been going or how, if it is yours?
So I've been doing it, I think, four years.
And so has it been like three years total?
We were all like after each other.
Yeah, it's pretty quick.
Yeah.
But I feel like we just gradually got closer and closer trips happen.
Yeah.
Spend a lot of time together.
Yeah.
And then just going through things we go through with social media, having each other.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like, rely on and to help through hard times.
Yeah.
We started going on trips and vacations together, and I think that's when we really started getting closer.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Now the kids are close.
Yeah.
Family trips.
Yeah.
Big family trips.
Yeah.
That's so good.
So we all know a good hair day can make a game change in the whole mood.
You feel a little more confident, a little more put together.
and honestly, just like yourself.
And that's why I love that Nutrafol supports hair health from within.
It's not a one-size-fits-all.
Nutraful has different formulas, so that's for men and women,
and they are tailored to different life stages like postpartum, menopause,
and lifestyle factors like plant-based diet.
Nutraful is the number one dermatologist-recognited hair growth supplement brand,
and it's the number one hair growth supplement brand personally used by dermatologists,
and it's super easy to keep up with.
So you can order online, no prescription.
description needed with automated deliveries and free shipping, Nutraful's hair growth supplements
are peer-reviewed NSF certified for sport and clinically tested, which gives you that extra layer
of trust that's so important. So I actually saw one of my friends one time and her hair was
looking so amazing. It was so thick, so beautiful. And I was like, girl, your hair is looking good.
And she was like, Nutraful. She showed me her progress pictures and I was shocked. I was like,
okay, ordering ASAP. I also have a friend in my life.
It's a guy who uses this and he's noticed incredible difference.
And so I've kind of seen it both ways and then also done it myself.
And it really does work for everyone.
So it's amazing.
So let your hair be one less thing to worry about.
See visibly thicker, stronger, faster growing hair with less shedding in just three to six months with Nutraful.
For a limited time, Nutraful is offering our listeners $10 off your first month subscription
and free shipping when you visit Nutraful.com and enter the promo code, whoa.
Again, that's Nutraful.com, spelled in.
N-U-T-R-A-F-O-L-com with the promo code, whoa.
Okay, what I love about this, too, is that I think that it's a very worldly thing for whenever
other people start doing what you're doing to start getting competitive.
And I feel like that is so like the enemy's tactic because actually, like, when you championing
each other and when you come around each other, there's enough for everyone to go around and
it only increases, like, more.
And that's something my mom always says.
She's like, all ships rise together, you know, like when the tide comes, like, they all rise together.
And so don't look at, you know, your sisters as your competitors, but really, like, champion what they're doing because you really want more of that in the world.
So I love, like, as you start seeing, like, different people pop up that are similar to you, it's like, oh, that's not a threat to me.
Like, I need community in that.
So let's come together.
And something I've noticed, I was listening to the Oprah podcast recently, which is funny because you don't always listen to Oprah's podcast.
I was like, where did I hear this? It was Oprah. I was watching Oprah's podcast and she had on the Anastasia Brow Girl. And they were talking, they were interviewing together. They brought in Kim Kardashian. They're having this conversation. And it was so cool because what they were creating was something that was really like for everyone. And something that they said about each other. They were like, she does not keep secrets. Like she gives every, she gives like all her secrets away. And I was thinking about like for Oprah.
the reason like people wanted to hear more of her is like she gave it all away.
And I think so often you want to go, oh, I'm going to keep it off for myself.
But there's so much scarcity in that.
But when you go, I want to give it away.
Like I want to tell people the good advice.
I want to like rally around.
I want to make friends.
Like let's use our followers and like share all this information.
Like that's so much better.
But I just think that's like an opposite way of thinking than a lot of people in the world thing.
Devin, what was that like for you like starting to reach out?
Was it like a lack of community that you were wanting?
Was it something that you were like just thought it would be more fun to do together?
I think more fun because I have a community at home that didn't do social media,
but I think it just felt, I don't know, I just wanted to help and be of help and cheer them on
because I think in that stage I was already seeing the negative side effects of social media
and like the mean comments and all that.
And I'm like, I'm not the only one experiencing this.
So maybe then it was, yeah,
just to more fun community.
Just I wanted to be help.
That's sweet.
So I genuinely do have so many things that I want to talk about with y'all because so many people have been so excited whenever I've told anyone that y'all are on the podcast.
Like, oh my gosh.
Like so many people are so intrigued by y'all's lives and that you share them and all the things.
But also, we've talked about this, but it's okay to repeat it.
There are a lot of new listeners.
Like, how did each of you get started with social media?
Because I think that is a job that a lot of people love.
looking up to and think it would be fun to do on their own, but it's a hard thing to do. I think
everybody thinks, oh, easy. I'm just to start making videos. And then you realize real fast,
it's not always easy to gain a follower or maintain a following or anything like that.
And so can each of you all share a little bit about how you even got started, social media,
and why you chose to do it? I can start. Yeah. So like we said, I started a lot later than
these girls. I was a teacher. I taught second grade. And it was. It was.
I know, I loved it. I still, like, miss it. But I was teaching and I was also getting my master's degree in elementary education. And it was Christmas break. So I had like a week to scroll. And my mom was just showing me TikTok and she showed me all these girls and was like, do you know these people? And I was like, no. So I started following some people that, because I just used TikTok like the 4U page just to scroll and I wasn't really following anyone.
And so I really enjoyed, like, following people that I like to watch that were very similar to me.
And so I begged my husband to do it.
And a month later, he was like, okay, like, I'm going to call you out on this.
We're going to do it.
He said, let's post once a day for a month and just see where we're at.
And by the end of that month, we had grown a pretty large following on TikTok.
And so then we started on Instagram and other platforms and got to where we are today.
What kind of videos were you doing?
We were just doing couples videos, which is still, like,
like what we do. We focus mainly on each other and our family and then just friendship. And
I've kind of dabbled into like cooking. I like to do a lot of cooking videos and things. So yeah.
Did you do something with a cake? Yes. Was it the banana cinnamon swirl cake?
Yes. It was so good. That's awesome. I love that. That's so cool. Okay. How did you get started, Casey?
So for us it was kind of like accident. Like we were just posting being silly.
Um, we started going viral and like Devin reached out to us. So I was a stay at home mom. Before that,
I was a full time makeup and hair artist. Um, and then like once more and more went viral, I was
like, maybe we could do this. My husband was working pest control. And so we didn't have like a big
income. Um, so yeah, we just like kept at it. And then we were only, I think I had like 100,000 followers.
I'm like, why don't you just quit your job?
And like, let's just take a leap of faith because I can't really get into it.
Trustful.
Right.
It's kind of impossible to, like, work.
Like, I couldn't do what I needed to do when I was also with the kids full time, you know,
because it was, like, taken away from them.
So he quit his job.
And then after that, I feel like the Lord just really blessed us.
Wow.
It's just up from there.
Yeah.
So we started with, like, couples stuff, too.
And now I do, like, couples, family lifestyle vlogs.
That's awesome.
And y'all are similar.
Pretty much, yeah.
My husband, we were just.
boyfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend at the time.
Yes, that was a whole move.
I remember I was talking about that.
He was in school, in college to go to vet school.
That was like his dream at the time.
And then I didn't go to college.
I was kind of just waiting to get married now kids.
I was just kind of chill, you know.
But I always had in the back of my mind, like social media would be a great, I felt
like job I could do while also pretty much being able to be a stay-at-home mom too.
So I just was very shy at the time.
I was like, I could never show my face.
So I was like, he's funny.
And so it was all him in the beginning and they loved him, like just posted videos of him, him, him.
And then one day I was like, maybe I should show my face.
Like, you just hear my voice behind the camera.
And so then it started, it was always couple stuff, but I was always typically behind the camera now.
It's both of us and everything.
And so everyone saw us date, get engaged, get married, have kids and all the things.
It's so cool.
That's going to be so special to always have and look back on.
It's so special.
Like, the more years ago by, the more you realize that, because our family shows,
started when I was 14.
And so now I get to watch those shows back with my kids.
And it's like really special, especially that my grandfather passed away last year.
But they got to know him by watching Doug Dynasty.
And it's like the sweetest thing ever.
I'm like so grateful.
They're like in the bath the night making beards with bubbles.
And they're like, we look like Uncle Si and Popple film.
That's so cute.
Because watching the show.
So like y'all are going to have that like your life documented.
And that is so special.
That's the best part about it.
Yeah.
kids get to go back and watch.
It's so fun.
That's awesome.
And what about y'all?
So for me, I had just, I always was intrigued with YouTube.
And then the short form of content I wasn't really familiar with.
But it gave me something to do whenever I was going through postpartum, like specifically TikTok.
And so I just made, I call them silly little videos.
A lot of it was voiceovers.
It had to do with being a mom.
Hunter coming home with my hair looking a mess and washing bottles.
but people related to that, but it was fun for me.
It gave me an outlet.
And so that's kind of how that started on TikTok was it was more just entertainment for myself
to give me something to do during the day.
He was a firefighter at the time.
So when he was gone, I felt lonely.
I was going through postpartum depression.
So with that, for a few months, I was just making videos.
But it always was something.
I was like, dang, this would be really cool if I could do it as a job.
Because at that time, I wanted to be a stay-home mom.
I didn't want to go back to work.
I was working as a physical therapist assistant.
it. And a few months later, Hunter would pop in here and there some videos with me, but it was still
more me. Anyways, flash forward, he recorded my reaction to shaving off his mustache. And I was like,
I don't have any of my normal stuff to post, so I'm just going to post this. And so posted it,
it went viral. And I was like, oh, I was like, maybe people want to see actually us. Like,
hear our voices. People were intrigued with the Southern voice, the Southern accent,
which I feel like we are like, we don't have a southern accent.
Anyway, so from there went viral.
It happened really quick in that sense.
And yeah, here we are.
So cool.
There's something so fun about making your home film more alive.
So whether you're adding something beautiful inside,
planting something outside,
or just creating a space where your family actually wants to spend time,
but one of my favorite things about fast green trees
is how it turns planting something simple into a family experience.
We actually planted an apple tree from last summer that we got from them.
and it's just been so special to see the kids get excited to see something grow and know that
patience pays off.
Vascar and Trees is America's largest and most trusted online nursery with thousands of trees

They have everything from fruit trees to privacy trees to indoor plants and they make it
super easy to find what will actually work for your space.
You order online, it shows about your door in shape and with the help that you need.
Their plant experts are available seven days a week.
And lately, I've been giving some attention to my in.

So I am so curious because there's obviously like so many great sides of social media and then
so many like not good sides to social media. Do you all love it still? Do you like doing it? Is it fun to you?
Is it life giving? Like where do you fall on the balance of like I love it? I hate it. I'm somewhere in the
middle. It's kind of a big question. I know. We can get into the nitty. What? We can get into the
I mean, yeah.
I feel like with the community, it's way, like, if I was by myself and didn't have you guys,
it was like kind of isolated in the space, I might would feel differently.
But I love it now.
Yeah, you too.
And if I'm ever like stuck or in a rut, we just talk about it.
We talk it through and then we're out of it.
And I feel like that's common because it's not perfect.
Like, it's like we love it, but there are the days where we're like, dang, I just wish we could just go back to work in how we were or whatever.
whenever it gets really hard, but like Casey said, having each other, it just brings...
It makes a big difference. Yeah, it makes a really big difference.
Like, this is really fun. Like, getting to do this and travel together and be silly.
And that's really how the Southern Mom Vault was born because we were on a trip.
And a lot of times, like, with social media, it does create a curiosity about somebody's life, right?
Because they're only seeing what we're showing. But for us, it's like, we know when we're together, we're so goofy.
we laugh so much literally until we pee our pants.
And so there was one trip specifically.
I was like, we just should show that side of us, you know?
And then from there, that's how Suther Mom Vault became a thing.
And I'm like, we were showing more of just real, I guess.
It's not polished.
There's an expectation to be perfect online just to show like just the highlight real.
but I feel like when we started sharing our just like goofy and just weird side.
Yeah.
People really related to that and they just wanted to see that.
Yeah.
They like to see it.
Yes.
And that it's okay.
It's okay.
Like to not take everything so seriously.
Yeah.
No, like at the end of it, it was, yeah, so the Southern Mom Vault page is the vault
because that's where we just were like, let's show our true colors.
We kept it hidden for so long.
And then we finally were like, guys, let's just just.
post all the ones we have in our camera roll.
It does feel good to let it out.
It does feel good to let it out.
That is so funny because everybody relates.
Y'all remind me, like, me and my best friend used to have a page.
It's Sadie and Lainty, and we were roommates, and we posted the weirdest stuff.
Like, literally the weirdest stuff.
Looking back, and like, that is so funny because I was around the time that I met Christian,
and I remember my sister knew Christian before me, and they saw this video I posted one day,
and apparently Christian looked at her.
This is before he knew me, and he goes,
that's just not funny.
I held him to do that forever.
You don't think I'm funny, you know?
But we were so weird.
And then I was thinking about, like, dating that whole time,
like his mom looking at all that.
And I'm like, well, at least they knew who I was from the start.
That's right.
There was nothing to hide.
But that was so funny because people loved it.
Like, we, so once we hit, like, you know, the thousands,
it was like the K, you know.
And so we called everybody our cousins with the K.
And it's so funny because people will still come.
to me and be like, I was a cousin.
Like, that's like this other mom, but I'm in the vault.
Yeah.
We had a video just, like, go a little viral for the page,
and it hit a crowd that wasn't too familiar with the world of pages all about.
The other than we scared people.
Yeah.
The comments were not, like, our normal comment.
And, like, that video specifically, we were like,
give it your all being weird.
It was like the hardest time ever was.
And so we were, I'm like, wait, people didn't think this is being real.
They thought we were being dead serious.
Because a lot of times we'll do like a dance trend on our regular pages
and it's prim and proper and polish.
So within the ball, we're like, all right, just be weird.
Be weird.
Yeah.
Nice.
It's so good.
Like, no one needs another perfect influencer to follow.
Like, we need people who are just real and authentic and original to go like,
oh, this is what I look like with my friends.
And we're all goofy and together.
And I can still be that way while I'm a mom.
and a wife and be a good mom and a good wife and go out with my girlfriends and have fun and wear wigs and be
Karen. That's so good for people to see because so many people in motherhood lose themselves.
We just recently did a girl's trip, all my friends, and it was, we were having so much fun.
Like literally, it was just funny. We're at a hotel and we order room service and the guy who came was laughing
at us because we were like, but we were like, we're having so much fun.
And one of the moms started crying and she was like, I literally have lost this side of myself.
Like I haven't because she's, you know, stay-at-home mom, she's with her kids all day.
It's just, it's hard, you know?
And she's like, I just don't get to be goofy like this anymore.
And so to get to do that with friends is such a breath of fresh air.
And y'all are showing people that.
And it's like, oh, that's so good.
And I love that, like, you did come together to collaborate more because I think in this world, like, individualism is such like a big thing.
And, like, everything is so individualized to a fault.
It's like even the fact that cable TV is so different and, like, we don't watch shows at the same time.
and all together. It's like everybody's watching their own Netflix show, their own, you know,
everything's just like individualized. You can do everything by yourself. But social media,
like the dark side of it is you can have all these followers, but not have community,
not have friends. And it's like, what are followers if you're not known by people, you know?
And so I think it's like such a push in the right direction to be like, do it with community,
do it with people. It's so much better. And I love to hear y'all say, you love it. I love it.
I always tell people when people are like wanting to do social media,
but they like hate it.
I'm like,
you probably shouldn't do it.
Because actually, like,
I know there are dark sides of it
and bad sides of it,
but I genuinely love it, you know?
There's so many more highs and lows.
Yeah, there's so many more highs and loads.
But also, like, you don't have to do everything.
And I'm interested to hear y'all's take on that
because, like, for me,
I don't do a lot of TikTok.
I do more Instagram.
And then I don't do, like, Facebook as much either.
I have teams that help me more so with that.
They just repost whatever I post on Instagram.
But, like, I find so much life on Instagram.
Like, I think it's so fun.
It feels like me.
I never really felt like that on TikTok
and so I finally was just like
well that I don't have to do it
you all have to do all that
for y'all really like
because I feel like at first you feel this expectation
that you have to do everything
in social media
but some things just aren't you
know
we talk about a lot
how it feels like TikTok has changed
since we started first started
because I feel like that's where we got viral
and grew a following was TikTok
and then it bled into Instagram
but Instagram
we love Instagram more in a way
and we post on TikTok
but then repost it to Instagram
and that's where we're like ha
yeah it's interesting
it's very positive
I feel like I read like
you know I get to see more messages
and stuff come through there
I feel like my community
you know I'm sure a lot of it
goes back and forth
but yeah I love my Instagram people
so it is interesting though
that there is like a much different experience
on different social media apps
and even like YouTube I used to do
blogs on YouTube. I love doing
blogs. That's like very fun to me.
But then when I started doing the podcast,
it was very hard to do both. And finally I was like,
okay, I'm going to do the podcast because I love it.
And it's like figuring out what works for
you and not trying to do
everything because everyone else is doing it.
I think that that's a healthy place to be
when you're like, I just, I love it.
It brings me joy. This is my lane. This is
also what makes financial sense for my family.
All of that kind of comes together.
Because I do think a lot of people would try
to do it and they don't even like it. I'm like, then you're not
going to have longevity.
When you're doing it, it's a calling.
It's something that God put on your life, you know?
And I feel like I'd be interested for you.
Like, as a second grade teacher, did you think you would be doing this?
Or what was it about it that made you go like, oh, I think I can do this?
What excited you?
I watched like Instagram.
I was on Instagram a lot, not necessarily TikTok.
And so Instagram I saw a lot of like perfectly curated, you know, Instagram influencers
that were selling outfits and things like that.
So that wasn't really what I was, like, called to.
I was more so interested in, like, the content creation and just, like, the funny and the real and raw parts of content.
And so my husband is very creative.
And so he was the one that really, I think I was just, like, I can see this being a future for us.
And I trusted and believed in him.
And once I finally got him on board, his, like, creativity just really sparked.
And I think it was more so just like bringing his like gift.
I think he has a gift for that.
And I just was like pulling that out of him and getting to work with him was, it was just
been such a blessing.
So yeah, I don't know if it was necessarily something for me, but just more so like for the both of us and him.
Yeah.
That's so cool.
Christian used to like hate social media and he is like, I'm never going to be an influence of all.
And now like he loves it.
And it's so funny.
But he says this.
He's like, I had to like find my thing, you know, because I think he like didn't see himself and other people on social media and was like, I can't be that, you know?
And then also, like, I just want to speak to wives out there too because sometimes we can have an expectation on our husband.
That's not them.
You know?
And I had to be like, that's not you.
That's not you.
You know, like you find your thing that you love.
And then through him finding that, then he's like, oh, I want to share it, you know?
I think that's just like a good note to anybody.
It's like finding out who you really are and then letting.
that authenticity bleed through because if you build your brand or you're following off something
that's not real, that is a very hard thing to uphold.
I love like when Christine Kane talks about like unless, I think she talks about it
unless the Lord builds the house, labor is labor and vain.
It's a verse in Psalms.
She talks about like you don't want to build the house because then you have to maintain
the house.
But if God builds the house, then there's no pressure, you know?
Yeah, there's hard work.
Yes, there's showing up.
But it's like at the end of the day, you can go like, surrender, like, I'm just being me, you know?
And it's bleeding through and it's the overflow of who I am.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, we love that.
We love that.
Protein is one of those things that I'm always trying to make easier in our house because I need solid options with my family that they will actually want to eat.
That's why I found Taylor Duk's bonus protein.
We were looking for a non-dairy protein option for our family, and this ended up being just the biggest win because the kids like it.
Christian and I like it, and it's made with real clean ingredients that I feel great about keeping up with our routine.
And honestly, some protein powders are hard to get down.
They're chalky, taste weird, or you have to, like, hide them in some messy mixture with 10 other things just to make it work.
Taylor drinks wellness protein is not that.
It is smooth.
The flavor is amazing.
And even though it's made with 100% grass-fed bone broth protein, it doesn't taste like earthy bone broth at all.
It's actually so good.
I love mixing it into my smoothies or stirring it into yogurt.
You can put it in coffee.
But I also love like mixing in any kind of like muffin pack and making for the girls just to give it some better ingredients to it and some protein, which is so great.
TDW is clean, tasty, and the Huff family approved, which is just a win for all of us.
We love that it's also non-dairy because honey doesn't do a lot of dairy and most protein powders are dairy in a way.
And so it's just so nice that they have no dairy options and it's just amazing.
Really, the quality is so, so good.
TdW has their best offer right now.

All right, talk to me about where faith comes in and sharing.
Is that something that you all have felt natural about?
Has it felt hard to share your faith?
Maybe everybody feels a little bit different.
But Devin, you want to kick us off?
Yeah.
I don't, I feel like it always has come.
natural, there does come so back to the house thing. You know, sometimes I feel like if my priorities
are out of order, then I'm sharing for the wrong reasons or I get in my head. I'm like, oh, shoot,
like I haven't shared about God this week or, you know, it's almost like this expectation
on me that I put on myself. But at the end of the day, it's like, I just don't want to
disappoint him. And so I have to, it's so share my faith on that.
is not a biggie at all. Like I want to. I want to share more. Sometimes it's more of just like,
okay, God, how do I do this? Where it's authentic and not to lift myself up or to be posting
something so people see it and be like, okay, she's still a Christian. But honestly, I feel like
in the ways of just using wisdom and what we post and we were talking about like even the sound,
like sounds and we're not perfect. There's probably a trend we've done and there might be like
a cuss word that we didn't know was in there, right? Things like that. But,
just to use wisdom and thank God for God's grace because we are, like I fail a lot on social media.
And that's just a constant thing.
Like the Holy Spirit has to take me through the sanctification process every day.
And there are times my prayer is out of order.
Yeah.
And I might be posting for just the wrong reasons or because it's my job or whatever.
But I love how gracious he is and reels me back in.
And it feels so good knowing like, okay, he's.
blessed me with this and I just have to surrender to him and I feel like a lot of the times it's
through our fruit and I just want to show what a good wife looks like what a healthy marriage
can look like being a mom just like the things where it's not getting on there some people
get to preach and stuff but like if it's okay like if I didn't feel called to do that but yes how in
the mundane things can I share Jesus yeah I think people can see a difference
Like we're set apart, even if we're not like preaching the gospel every single day.
They'll see it right in our videos and the way that we act,
parenting, marriage, all of that.
And I know like you said, sometimes you kind of get down on yourself for like not sharing.
But like I always like remind myself of the verse in Luke 15 when he's talking about the lady that loses the coin.
And she's searching everywhere for it.
And then she finally finds that coin and she invites all of her friends to celebrate.
And they're just rejoicing over that one coin.
Like he is rejoicing over even just one person, like knowing the Lord.
And even if we're not, you know, preaching to millions, we are still like reaching maybe one or two people.
We can have conversations and DMs and things like that.
And just they know we're Christians by our fruit and how we're like living our lives too.
So good.
So true.
So powerful.
So powerful.
What about y'all?
Tearing them a little bit.
we knew someone would
we always have
yeah perfect
that's good
if anyone needs
we did talk about that earlier
we're like who's gonna cry
it's normally the one on the couch
she
you feel like that
I mean exactly what y'all said
like I feel like sometimes
it can be hard
because again like
I definitely am not
when it comes to like
preaching it's not my gift
like I love listening to something
and I'll try to say that
and I'm like it's just not flowing out
I'm not like I'm trying it.
Like words are a gift for everyone.
Right.
And that's, I feel the same way too.
But like through your fruit, my husband always talk about that.
Like just by watching a wholesome, godly marriage and how we parent, I feel like just by that, people can see it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I agree.
But I've always been eager to share.
Like, it's never a big deal or anything to like let people know.
And I think we want it to be obvious.
We want it to be obvious.
We watch us.
Yeah.
It is obvious.
It's really awesome.
I mean, truly, I texted Devin this this morning.
I was like, please tell them we're so excited to see y'all.
And also, like, you guys are such incredible examples.
I'm so grateful that y'all are on social media and that you're doing what you're doing.
It's so nice.
You know, truly, like, part, no, no, for real.
Like, y'all need to know that.
Like, I was so excited to hear how excited other people were that y'all were coming on because I'm like, thank God, these are the influencers.
You know, thank God, like, these are the people.
that the Lord is entrusted with millions of followers, millions of eyes to see
because you're representing beautiful marriages and parenthood and goofy and silly and real
and authentic and it's not perfect and it's not made up. It's just is what it is. You're showing
out without makeup on and hair crazy and this is what today looks like, but you're showing people
how to live a normal life to love God, to love people, not overcomplicated. And I think
like the reality is most people are not preachers and most people are not going to be
pastoring a church but everybody has a friend you know everybody has family everybody has people
in their life they need to be Jesus too and y'all are showing people how to do that and to be a
real person who it's like I think that that's the thing it's like you're not like you're not
like you just said it's not perfect it's just real
And you can genuinely love God and genuinely be a goofy, silly woman.
And, like, that is exactly what God has for you and wants you to be.
It's like the wife that you are, the mom that you are, the person you are in your day-to-day life.
So I actually think it's just such a breath of fresh air.
And I really am so thankful.
Like, because for me, like, part of the reason that I didn't get into TikTok is because I don't like how TikTok doesn't protect your mind very well.
You know, if you're scrolling because so much of it is, like, people you're not following.
so you're not always like knowing what you're going to see next.
And I'm just, I'm big on like what I see, what I listen to, what I hear because I'm like, okay, from the hearts of the mouse will speak.
You know, like, and I am someone who has microphones always around me.
And I'm like, I just want to make sure what I'm saying is good.
And so I don't want something not good in me.
And that app felt like something that could be lead me down like bad paths.
But what is so encouraging is now when you scroll TikTok, y'all stuff is coming up.
Like you guys are the ones. Someone told me yesterday, they're my whole TikTok feed. And like, how cool is that?
That's really cool. People are running into joy. Like people are running into laughter. People are running into friendship. Like people are scrolling into these things. And so like that's such a gift to give people who are scrolling just a breath and a reality dose and encouragement. So like keep going. What y'all are doing is awesome.
It's the best compliment. Like running into people and hearing that and even.
parents saying like thank you for putting
contact out that I feel comfortable with like
my kids watching like I feel safe knowing
and being role models like things like I mean that makes it all
worth it and encourages me to keep going.
That is like our biggest compliment when someone says I can hand the phone to my
child and they can scroll your page and know that they're not going to hear
any profanity they're not going to hear anything that's like innuendo
or anything like that it's just going to be good clean like yeah
and I think that's just our goal
like all of us just to glorify God and to be a light in what can be a dark space.
Yeah.
It's so good.
Well, so many Christians, I think what happens is like you go, oh, it's a dark space.
I'm just not going to be a part of it.
Right.
It's like, no, you need to be a part of it because you need to be a light in it.
Now, there are times where you have to guard your heart.
Like I said, that wasn't good for my heart.
I need to get away.
But there, but how can I still be a part of it?
How can I still bring light into that space?
And so I think like that's what's really cool that y'all are doing.
It's like, we're not going to like get out.
out of it, we're going to bring light into it, you know? So now it's like, look at how many good things
are on the algorithm. And then hopefully, not hopefully you guys are doing this, you're inspiring
other people to do it too, you know? Like I saw somewhere that that's like the most, like the top
number one job that, you know, the next generation wants to have is like to be an influencer.
It's like more than a doctor, more than a lawyer, more than what it used to be. It's like, I want
to be an influencer. Well, it's really great if you're raising up.
these future generation that want to be influencers who have great hearts and want to glorify God and love people.
And you guys are setting the example for the next generation of what works to be an influencer
and showing them it actually works. You can thrive at being an influencer by being exactly who you are,
by being a believer, by being a wife, a mom. And like, what a cool thing to know. Like,
I can be a successful influencer and be me. Like that's so awesome, you know, because I think back in the day,
I thought, well, if I'm going to be famous, then I'm going to have to conform to what the world
looks like, what fame looks like, what perfection looks like. That's not the story anymore.
I'm like, I'm going to be famous. I'm going to be me. Exactly. Which is so cool. It's so
different than what it used to be. That would be hard to just like change your whole self
like into someone else you're not. It is so it does make me feel for like younger girls
that watch are on social media and are being fed just algorithms and things and
And it's like not even necessarily bad things, but just the so many people do conform into the world and want to all be the same, look the same, like do the same, you know, almost like robotic.
And how that I just, I don't know, I feel like God has called us all.
We're all so unique.
And it does make me, yeah, I think about it.
It's so ironic because I do social media.
And so it makes me be like, okay, so what am I?
going to do when my kids get to the age of social media. What is social media going to look like
in 10 years? And so I'm in my thoughts right now. So that's probably, I don't even know where I'm
landing with that. What you said is where are my landing girls. It's everything we're probably
all thinking. We're all thinking about all those things. Like what does this mean in the future?
What does this mean for our kids? But I think back to the best piece of advice y'all gave.
It's like, do the next right thing. We're making the best decision on
what we feel the Lord has let us do today and right now. And trust me, we've prayed about it,
thought about it, you know, gone down all the rabbit trails, the good, the bad, the ugly.
By the end of the day, you do what you're called to do. And I think, like, it's so cool to set
that example. And it's so true. The world, like, algorithm, it's like everybody's doing the same
trend. Everybody looks similar. And it's like so refreshing when someone's not doing that.
It's like, oh, something new, you know? And that's just like, and we know, we're made in the image
of God. You're getting new glimpses of the glory of God when people are fully themselves and
show you like a new version of God. And I remember I was just thinking about this because whenever I was
first starting, there wasn't like, I don't remember like influencers being a thing. It was like famous
people, but not influencers the way that it is now. Because I was what, 14. We're all the same age.
Yeah. But I remember I remember I had just started doing this line with Sherry Hill, like the prom dress
line. And I was getting to walk in their show, which was like so crazy for me because I'm from here.
and y'all are from small towns and all of a sudden I'm like in New York and I'm like this is so crazy and the person who walked before me for the show,
famous young teen were very, very different. And I remember them all saying, and with all these
supermodels, and they're all so stunning, and they all look the exact same. And I remember they were
having to tailor them all day like their dresses. And when I got there to get dressed, the guy
said, you're the only person that the dress actually fits as is. Like I was like a normal size.
Everyone else, they had to take in so much because they were so thin. And then, um,
Then the same day, when I was like the one that actually fit it, the same people told me that if I lost 10 pounds, I would look like a real model.
And I was like, so I need to lose weight to fit something that's like a look, like the stereotypical look, but that actually doesn't even like fit in the clothes that the girls are going to wear.
And I just remember hearing stuff that day, like so many things.
I was like, this is so messed up.
And this is the image that everyone's looking at trying to obtain and it's not realistic.
and it doesn't even like fit in the clothes that are the sizes on the rack.
And then they're all like, okay, when you go out there,
they're all like doing their like model look and their pose
and they're talking about having this serious base.
And they literally had like this model coach come and like coach me how to walk down.
I was like, okay, yeah.
And I really was taking it and I really did try to listen.
But as soon as it started, I got so excited that I was out there.
I was like, oh, I was like smiling, walking.
But then like everybody loved it.
Right.
Yeah, like, oh, it's so refreshing.
It was so refreshing.
And then they asked me back a few years in a row after that.
And it was just a good lesson.
And like, okay, you are going to feel tempted to fit the mold and you are going to feel tempted to do the thing and to look the way everybody else looks.
But when you live original, no pun intended, but for real, actually pun intended, when you live original and you walk the walk that God has called for you, it is so life-giving to everyone around you and so.
refreshing. And I think that's part of what you guys are doing. It's like you are set apart. It doesn't
look like everybody else. It's funny. You're like, this is so good, you know. And so just an
encouragement to girls out there who are looking at all these different molds on social media and
feeling you have to fit something, it's like, but even if you looked like that, would accomplish that,
would actually fill your heart the way that you're designed for it to fill. It won't, you know,
until you really become confident who God created you to be,
you're not going to be confident to live the life that he called you to live.
And it's so cool to watch y'all live it.
It's so cool to watch y'all do it.
If y'all were going to encourage some girls out there,
I mean, what would you say to some girls out there who are maybe feeling like on the fence?
Like, I want to go for something God palm of heart.
Maybe it's not social media.
Maybe it's just something different that no one else around them is doing.
What would you say to them?
Yeah, we talked about this a little bit earlier too.
Pray about it first.
about it. And then also like apply yourself. Like I was really shy and I would like pray about
something just like for friends. Like I remember praying for friends. And then I would just like
sit there and not try to make friends. And so like you all like you have to use the tools that God
gives you to like try. You know. Don't strive for perfection. Right. With anything. Yeah.
Yeah. I think that's something that I struggled with at the beginning too is I wanted everything to be
perfect. Like we wanted lighting to be perfect and the sound to be perfect. And we just wanted it all
to look like put together. And I don't think that you have to start that way. You can start.
I mean, and looking back now, our old videos to what they look like now, they're totally different.
Like you learn as you go. So you just, you just have to start somewhere. And you got to start where
you're at with what you have. And truly say when I look back, like people are at where should I start in your
podcast at the beginning, I'm like, no.
You should definitely not start at the beginning.
It's totally different.
It turns to me it didn't look like this.
Like, it was literally in a closet.
There was no video for two years because I didn't know how to do that.
And then I was in my parents' house in my old bedroom with a camera that would always
die.
And it's like, you know, but you just got to start somewhere, you know?
I feel like that's refreshing to hear is it's not always going to be perfect.
And like, so if you feel called to something, it doesn't.
me like, okay, God, I hear you.
I feel like you're calling me to this, but let me get, let me get X, Y, and Z
order before I step into it the calling.
Yeah.
You know, it's just like, no, like, if God's calling you to something, you just have to,
sometimes you have to.
What did you say earlier, free fall?
Oh, yeah, trust fall.
That's what she says.
What's a free ball?
You're going to free fall.
You're a free fall.
God is all about a trust fall.
Yay.
I've learned that recently.
Because you think, okay,
If he calls me, then I'm going to have it all laid out and then I'm going to walk in it.
No, where's the faith in that?
Like, faith is the confidence things that we hope for.
It sure is some things that we cannot see.
So sometimes you just got to go at your word.
It's the same thing with, like, Peter on the boat.
He heard Jesus before he knew.
Like, he's like, okay, I'm supposed to get out of this boat and walk.
But, like, there wasn't an assurance yet, you know?
And then he saw Jesus.
But then he starts looking at the waves and we know what happens.
And it's the same thing in life.
Like, you do sometimes just have to trust.
got at his word and before you see it, like trustful and know that like he really will provide
what you need when you need it. And those moments build your faith because then you look back
and again, it's not you that built the house. You're like, I can't even tell my story without
telling God's story. And that's the best place to be when your testimony. It's not even forced
because it was just lived, you know. And I think David's story is an amazing example of that because
David's like anointed to be king. And then right after he's anointed to be king, he's shepherding
sheep. And I feel like, can you imagine? Like, you're like, I'm supposed to keep, I'm shepherding sheep.
I think so many people probably feel that way who want to be influencers right now who are at home
with their kids going, okay, God, you've called me to do something with social media. I want to
have followers, but I'm shepherding the sheep. And I just encourage you, be faithful with the
sheep because what's amazing about their stories is they're just at home with their families,
with their kids, they're videoing it. They're just doing exactly what they're doing, who they are.
And then when it was the right time, God elevated the platform.
And so it's the same with David.
Like, he didn't know when he was bringing the cheeseboard to Goliath that,
I mean, to his brother's idea that Goliath was going to be there and that was going to happen.
Just like you didn't know the mustache video was going to go viral.
You know, it's like you don't know how God's going to do it.
You just got to keep being faithful to him.
Keep saying yes to him.
Do the next best thing, the next right thing.
I'm so encouraged by y'all.
I cannot shout them out more to go follow them on social media, TikTok, Instagram, new podcast coming up, YouTube.
I watched some YouTube videos this morning and some of you all.
So many good things that they're putting out.
Such great couple, such great families.
And thank you all for coming all the way to Monroe with your Karen Wigs.
Yeah, thank you.
Thank you.
