Okay, Ed.
We just launched a lot of new technology.
We sure have.
I'm excited to talk about it today.
How do you feel?
I'm pumped.
I have been waiting for the world to see what we've been working on,
and today is the day, so I couldn't be more excited.
So let's start with the hardware advancements.
I think WOOP 5.0 has been really the most anticipated product in the history of Woop.
And a little bit of a surprise, we've come out with 5.0 and MG.
That's right.
So there's a lot of new technology packed into these hardware.
That's right.
There are several improvements with these new hardwares that were really excited,
including a smaller size, a much longer battery life, you know, 14 plus days on a single charge,
which is a pretty incredible amount of time and some new sensors as well.
Yeah, I think that people are going to be really impressed with the battery life.
It's about three times more battery.
capacity than the 4.0. And that's for both 5 and 4MG, all while being 7% smaller. And I think
people will also notice the size difference. It's subtle, but it really looks a lot better on
wrist sizes, and I think particularly risk sizes that are a little bit smaller. I think that's right.
We've also improved the haptic system. So we've got an all-new state-of-the-art haptic system.
So this is the type of tool that allows people to use the vibe motor within the hardware's.
This is the tool that allows you to set a whoop alarm.
It's nicer to wake up to something buzzing on your wrist than a loud alarm in the background.
The FIDO also comes with the wireless power pack, which is able to store itself a 14-day charge.
That's right.
So theoretically, you could go a month if you're traveling with your whoop strap and your battery pack and not even have to plug into an outlet.
And that's unbelievable.
The wireless power pack also will not drain a charge.
Right.
So one of the challenges for our 4.0 battery pack is like if it was bouncing around in your backpack, it might actually lose its charge.
Whereas this power pack now will maintain its charge.
And so it really does give you that extra 14 days when you need it.
Totally.
But I also want to get to WoopMG because WoopMG is by far the most advanced hardware we've ever come out with.
It's the most advanced sensor.
much like 5.0, it's got 7% smaller size and it's got the 14-day battery life.
But what else have we packed in there?
Well, a couple of the things I'm really excited about with WoopMG are that, first of all,
it's the first time we'll have an FDA cleared medical device for atrial fibrillation.
This one's particularly meaningful to me.
I can get into it later.
Having had AFIB myself, it's amazing that I can now take an ECG with my whoop.
In addition, we're going to have blood pressure insights on this WoopMG.
So every day I can wake up and see the latest with my blood pressure
and how that's related to my other wellness metrics.
Yeah, this is definitely the most powerful sensor we've ever come out with.
And for Woop, it's really this evolution also now into being a medical device.
You know, we've, I think, had this sort of natural evolution as a company of going from
the world's best athletes to fitness enthusiasts, to people who are health conscious,
to now having real medical capabilities.
And the MG, I think, is the product you're going to want
if you want, like, the very best for whoop.
And in some ways, that's introducing a new group of people to whoop.
That's right.
Now, I think as someone who I just turned 46 this week,
I'm no longer, you know, a kid.
So as a middle-aged, but still very active athlete,
I feel like it's great to have these additional capabilities as I continue to age.
There's a couple other design details I want to call out about the whoop 5.0 and the M.G.
One is that people will notice that the clasps are now rounded.
We felt like this gave the overall technology a slightly softer and more gentle look
while still being a more powerful piece of technology.
We've also changed the hook design from saying whoop to now just having the W.
And I think there's something a little bit more understated and elegant about that.
And I really like it.
And then in particular for the Woop MG, you'll notice these little scallops on the side of the clasp.
And these little indents, they actually look like sort of a design articulation.
But in reality, these little indents create the ability to do ECG screening.
So I think there was a lot of really nice work done by our industrial design team on this new hardware.
I really do like the way it looks.
And it's functional too.
Yeah, that's right.
Okay, let's get into some of the new features.
So I think we got to start with HealthSpan.
And this is HealthSpan with Whoop Age, and I've been using it, I don't know, for six months,
and I think you have as well, Ed, and I have to say,
I think this is one of the best features we've launched in a very long time.
I have to agree with that.
It has changed my behavior, looking at my health span every day.
By the way, I should just explain what HealthSPAN is.
Basically, it gives you what we call your Whoop Age, right,
which is your physiological age, which is different from your chronological age.
And so by exercising more and doing more strength training and sleeping better,
you can actually reduce your whoop age, even if your chronological age is increasing.
So we've just seen across all of our employees here at the office, like, people are changing
their behavior and trying to get younger.
So it's a really powerful metric.
It's amazing the behavior change we've seen from it. It's a super inspiring feature. It keeps you very accountable. And it's really, I think, the first time where Whoop has gone so far is to say, this number is good, this number is bad, you know, in terms of people understanding all of their metrics.
That's right. And I have to say, I was a bit hesitant that I remember the first time you talked about this idea of a health span or Whoop age. I think I was nervous for people.
people that might see a number greater than their chronological age. But in hindsight, having talked
with people that have seen ages older than their chronological age, there's nothing more
incentivizing than seeing, wow, I'm out of shape. I better make some changes here. So I think across
the board, whether your whoop age is greater than or less than your actual chronological age,
I think it inspires people to change their behavior in a positive way. A couple design characteristics
of the feature. So one is you'll notice this kind of glowing umiba when you land on the page.
And if you're younger than your chronological age, according to whoop, that amoeba will be
green and is like healthier looking. It's, you know, it's rounded. And if you're older,
it'll be more orange tinge or yellow. It might be a little bit jagged. And so that just like
as an immediate eye catch I found is kind of motivating in itself.
Totally. And it's not only based on your current whoop age, but it's also based on your
pace of aging. So I think it's worth pointing out that those are actually two separate metrics
we show you so that, you know, something like your whoop age that can't change every single
week, but your pace of aging can. So as you change your behaviors, as you get in more
cardio, strength training, sleep better, all that kind of stuff, you'll see your pace of aging.
change more quickly. So just to underscore this, your whoop age is based on six months of data.
So it's really looking at, you know, a holistic period of time. And it's taking a bunch of
behaviors that we've now done a ton of research to prove are associated with all-cause mortality.
So those are sleep consistency, total hours of sleep, time spent in heart rate zones, one through three,
four through five, time spent strength training, daily steps, V-O-2 max, resting heart rate and
lean body mass. Now, we're going to have our podcast that's specific
dedicated to health span. But these metrics you can now look at on a six-month average that's
going to drive your whoop age. You'll see that every metric actually has a number of years
associated with it. So, you know, you can look at actually each metric and how dramatically
they're affecting your age. In this case, Ed's V-O-2 Max is dramatically lowering his age. So I think that's a
feature that people are really going to love and get pretty hooked on in a good way. We've now got
this pace of aging. And that's looking at your last 30 days. And it goes on a scale from negative
1 to plus 3x. And so if you're in the negatives, you're actually like aging backwards. And if you're
at like zero, you'd essentially not be aging. And if you're at 1, you know, for every day on
whoop is a day in your real chronological life. So it is pretty inspiring. And the pace of aging
does change pretty dramatically every week because it's based on a smaller amount of time.
And so you'll see these crazy fluctuations.
I remember when I first got the feature, I was at like a one.
And then all of a sudden, I was like, okay, well, I want to do really well and have my age get you.
So I started working out a ton and all these things.
And all of a sudden I dropped it down to a negative point four.
All right.
And then my wife and I welcomed a newborn and I got injured.
And so that it like shot all the way back up.
Yeah.
And so it's kind of amazing looking at your whoop age.
mine's uh let's see mine is i'll give you a live reading on this mine's 5.6 years younger and and so i'm 29
versus 35 which you know that feels good to have a two handle in front of things but i
understand you have a uniquely good whoop age ed mine's i'm doing all right so i just turned 46 this
week but my whoop age is 34.2 so 11.7 years younger that's quite a flag
My goal for my 47th birthday is to become 33 in terms of my whoop age.
So one of the reasons that yours is so low, and I think it's worth calling out, is that your V-O-2 max is
extremely high.
Right.
It's like 68 or 72.
72, yeah.
Yeah.
So that's extremely high for folks listening to this.
And V-O-2-max, the analysis that we did found that V-O-2 max was the single biggest predictor of your
long-term health.
And this is essentially the amount of high.
oxygen that your body consumes while it's exercising and while it's performing. And so the fact that
yours is so high is probably in itself, how many years does that alone reduce for you?
I mean, that's the bulk of it, actually. That's a nine-year reduction. So I guess all those
marathons and Ironman races and training has paid off. And, you know, one other thing I noticed was
strength training time was pretty low for me. And that was one thing I focused on improving over
these last few months since we've had this feature live for us. And I think that's what's
improving my pace of aging, and I'm looking forward to it improving my health span over the next
several months. And this is also a pro tip for people. You want to make sure you're adding all of
your strength training or your weightlifting or whatever, because that's now going to contribute to
your whoop age. That's right. I now open up that strength trainer three times a week to get my
strength training time in. There we go. Okay. We're going to go to the new
Heart Screener with ECG.
What is this feature?
Yeah, the heart screener with ECG.
So this is a feature that is on our WoopMG device,
and it allows you to take an ECG,
and it will tell you if you have a normal sinus rhythm
or if you have an irregular rhythm.
For example, atrial fibrillation.
So if you have an irregular rhythm like atrial fibrillation,
And that's important to know because it can significantly increase your risk of stroke.
I believe people with AFIB have a five times more likely chance of getting a stroke.
And a lot of people who have AFIB don't actually know they have it, even though I think around 2% of the U.S. population has it.
As I mentioned earlier, this is something that is particularly important for me personally because I've now had AFIB two times that I know of in the last five years.
actually both times I had it I noticed my whoop HRV skyrocketed the morning afterwards and in the
past I've actually had to go to a cardiologist to get an ECG done at a hospital to show that I was
an AFIB whereas now with with this new hardware I'll be able to just take my ECG at home to show
whether or not I have AFIB yeah it's really our first step of bringing this doctor's office to your
wrist and as you said AFIB is something that a lot of people don't realize they have and it's pretty
common all things considered. It's also common amongst fit and healthy people too. That's right. In fact,
it's actually slightly more common among endurance athletes, especially kind of middle-aged endurance
athletes. It's one of the few downsides of doing more cardio as you get older is it actually
increases the risk of getting a-fib. And the method for taking this is remarkably simple. You just go
into the WOOP app, you go to the heart screener, and then all you have to do is just put your pointer finger in
thumb on the Woop MG, and you just hold it there for 30 seconds, and next thing you know,
you have a reading of whether you have a normal sinus rhythm, or not, and you've got a report
that you could send to a cardiologist. That's right. And then, you know, if you detect AFIB,
there are actually several things you can do. Having had it now twice myself, I've, the first time
I converted out of it just naturally, the second time I was given a pill by my cardiologist that helped
me get out of it. And there are other things they can do if you get it regularly. So there's action
you can take that can then decrease your risk of getting a stroke. It's worth noting that this
feature, because it's a medically cleared feature, it's going to vary depending on what market
you're in. That's right. So in the EU, we've got the ECG screening. We also have background
screening. So it'll be screening for AFIB in the background and alert you if there's a
notification there. In the U.S., we've got FDA approval for the ECG capability. We've got a bunch of
markets that are unlocking. This next feature is actually really a first of its kind, and that is
blood pressure insights. I know for a long time, people have wondered when will a wearable release
non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, and we're now coming out with blood pressure insights.
That's right. Now every morning when you wake up with Woop, you can
at what's your estimated blood pressure today. And that's based on work our data science team has
done to take all of the biometrics that we're recording while you're sleeping and putting that
into a model that then predicts your blood pressure range for both systolic and diastolic the next
morning. Yeah, this is a pretty innovative feature. I mean, we've been working on it for about
three and a half years to put that in perspective. We've done a bunch of research studies for it.
And we ultimately got to a place where we felt the accuracy of doing this non-invasively was
at a level that was really compelling for people to get value out of.
It's worth noting that we're launching this as a wellness feature.
We're looking at how blood pressure insights affect sleep quality, affect recovery.
We're giving a lot of information on that.
We're also enabling for a cuff calibration.
So when people first get this, they're going to do a single cuff calibration that in turn makes
the estimation really accurate.
That's right.
So the first time we ask you to calibrate with a cuff, and then that allows us to provide
the best possible estimates going forward.
Another new feature that we recently rolled out is V-O-2 Max.
V-O-2 Max is the maximum amount of oxygen.
Your body can use during intense exercise, as we talked about before, it's also one of the
great predictors of fitness and health.
And you've got a pretty damn good one.
Well, you know, I have been an endurance athlete my entire life. And it was fun to be a part of the VO2 max study here at WOOP. I went down to WOOP labs on the second floor to actually have my VO2 Max measured by the machine down there. So one thing worth pointing out is if you have gotten your own VO2 Max measured, you're able to manually enter that measuring in the app as well.
And I think people will notice this is a theme that we're doing across Woop where it's like if you have a specific metric, you want us to know.
know, inputting that can actually improve your overall accuracy.
That's right.
And so we did that with VO2 Max.
You've now seen with blood pressure insights, there's a calibration, or at any time you
can input a cuff reading.
You can also join research studies.
So we're really trying to make our members feel like they're able to control their experience
as much as possible.
That's right.
And these calibrations not only improve your own accuracy, but they contribute, you know,
across our entire member base, training the models to make them better.
Yeah, so everyone benefits from this sort of ongoing data collection.
Okay, we really went, I think, all in on women for this launch as well.
We're coming out with a whole new body of women's hormonal insights and capabilities.
Talk a little bit about this new feature.
Yeah, so only 3% of medical research focuses on women specifically, and so this leads to disparities in funding, technology, and health products.
And whoop's committed to changing this.
So with hormonal insights in particular, we're now going beyond just simple cycle tracking.
We're allowing women to track their cycles alongside their whoop data.
So you can actually see at different points of your cycle, how does that actually impact your
various health metrics?
You know, they're the four menstrual phases, menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and ludial.
And you can see how does that impact?
metrics like your HRV, your resting heart rate. So you can see the impact on sleep, stress,
nutrition, training, mood, work, etc. And we also allow members to log symptoms, things like
bloating, migraines, cramps, and things like that to identify patterns. My hope is for women
on whoop, you're going to find this as a little bit of a leapfrog from where we've been with some
of our functionality. I think this is a, we had multiple teams staffed for, you know, over a year
working on this. And I think this is a big leap forwards. Agreed. And it's also worth mentioning that
you're always in control of your data. So it's both accessible and erasable anytime.
Yeah, that's awesome. Okay. Sleep. I think people have always loved sleep on Woop. And good news,
it's gotten even better. First of all, it got more accurate with 5.0MG. And then on top of that,
we're coming out with a whole new sleep experience, which starts with the new sleep performance.
metric. That's right. So we've upgraded your sleep performance score. This new percentage-based score
is actually based on four key contributors, which are all highlighted in the new sleep pillar.
So those four things are, number one, hours versus needed. How much sleep did you get versus
how much you needed? Number two is sleep consistency. So are you going to bed and waking up at
approximately the same time every day? The third thing is sleep efficiency. So how much
of the time you spend in bed, how much of that time are you actually asleep? And the fourth one is
sleep stress. This is how much of the time that you were sleeping were you actually in a state of
stress? This is one I tend to look at a lot, and I've found that certain things like having
sugar at night before going to bed increases my sleep stress, so I try to cut out those desserts
these days. But those four key contributors now all feed into our new sleep performance score.
it's worth noting it's now much more difficult to get a 100% sleep performance score so it's going to be a bit more challenging but we think that it most accurately reflects the quality of your sleep last night yeah and for a lot of people you'll see i think just a more comprehensive understanding of your sleep i mean that's been my experience with this i think before you'd really focus on well you know how many hours versus needed which is essentially v1 of sleep performance right and now you can see for
these four categories, like how are you doing across all four categories of sleep?
And this is based on a ton of medical research that we did to really try to define what is
a good night's sleep.
Right.
And it turns out, of course, a good night's sleep is not just spending a lot of time in bed,
but it's also the consistency with which you're sleeping.
It's the efficiency with which you're sleeping.
It's having, you know, a low stress level, which therefore means it's high quality.
And you can now look at each of these metrics across poor, sufficient, and optimal.
And at least for me at a glance every morning, I find that super helpful.
It's like, okay, looking last night, my hours versus needed was orange, so it was poor.
But my consistency, my efficiency, and my sleep stress were all optimal.
And so what before would have probably just been a low score of 64 is actually now a sufficient score of 78.
And I just find that this whole new interface that you and the team have built out,
It's a much simpler way to understand your sleep while also being more powerful.
And I think that's something in general we're trying to do with the WOOP app.
Make it simpler while also making it more powerful.
Totally.
We want to keep the high-level metrics simple, but allow you to really dig in and go layers deeper to understand what's powering those metrics.
I think people are also going to notice a slightly new WOOP app.
Should we talk about that?
Let's do it.
The new pillars at the top, a simpler navigation with just home health community and more
in the navigation bar. What are some of your reflections here? Well, I think maybe one of the
first things people will notice is at the very top of home when you open up the app, you will
now see three separate rings instead of one. You'll see your sleep, your recovery, and your
strain as three separate rings at the top of the app. And you can easily navigate to each of those
We're calling them the pillars just by tapping on them.
So if you tap on the sleep ring, like mine right now says 81%.
I can see why was it 81% last night?
In my case, I had sufficient hours versus needed and sufficient sleep consistency,
but optimal sleep efficiency and optimal high sleep stress.
If you tap on your recovery, I was in the green this morning.
I can tap on that to see, you know, I had a good night in terms of heart rate variability and resting heart rate.
and that drove up my recovery score.
So we're trying to make it much easier to navigate
to these different pillars at the top.
So that's just one of the things you'll notice
on the home screen.
Yeah, I've found the new pillar structure
is simpler to use.
And even when you scroll,
you can still tap on them at the top.
We've also just made sleep all in one location,
so there's not different ways to get enter into sleep.
In addition, we've added plans to the homepage.
So again, it just feels like it's a little more streamlined.
you don't have to go to a separate tab to find plans.
Right.
So this is the weekly plans.
Right now I'm signed up for a sleep deeper plan.
And so if I just scroll down on my home tab, I can see the different components to achieving
better sleep.
And throughout the week, I can see how I'm progressing against that plan without having to
go into a separate tab.
We have an all-new navigation, home health community more.
That's right.
Home Health Community More.
The health tab is, it's new.
for us. And we're putting a lot of the stuff we just talked about earlier in this new tab on the
app. I think people are going to find the new app simpler and more powerful. It may take a minute
to get used to, but our goal is that you find it simpler and more powerful. Okay, wouldn't be
whoop without accessories and apparel. And I think alongside this new hardware launch, we're coming
out with some of our most beautiful bands we've ever launched. And I think we have to start with
the leather lucks. Leatherlux is our first band that is crafted from genuine Italian leather and
precious metals. And I think it's just got a pretty timeless look to it. It also comes in both a
wide and in a taper. So for people who are actually looking for a little bit more of a sort of a
jewelry type statement, the taper may resonate for them. Yeah, like I said, I really like the way
this leather looks band looks. But I also like the anywhere technology that we have. So the ability to
wear your whoop wherever you want to wear it, even if it's not on your wrist. And that's a great
point. We're coming out with all new whoop body. We've got a new anywhere pod system that unlike
prior pod systems was always in the garment, you can now just remove the pod entirely. And so what
that does is I think it makes the garment much more comfortable when you're not wearing
whoop inside of it. And then when you are, or when you want to, it's just as simple as a
Velcro attachment. Totally. No, it's great to have that flexibility. And we're coming out with
all new shorts, boxers, brawlets, shirts. It's a full new suite of whoop body.
I actually wore the shorts this morning, even though I had my whoop on a bicep band.
So like you said, it's actually comfortable to wear that stuff even if you're not putting your whoop inside of it.
Yeah. And look, I think when we first started creating apparel, which now is like five years ago, we thought it would be good enough to just say, oh, well, because you can put a sensor in it, people are going to want to wear it.
Right.
But it actually turned out that the garment on its own just had to be as good or better than all the other garments too.
Totally.
And I think that's what we got right this time around.
The whoop boxers, I now wear as my default boxers.
Right.
And confession, I wasn't quite there a year or two, you go on it, right?
And I've heard that now for our whoop shorts, our boxers.
A lot of women are loving the new thong and some of the underwear.
So we've just come a long way on the garment itself.
Totally.
Okay.
In addition to the all-new leather lucks, we have all-new collections for super knit,
super-knit Lux, cloud knit, and sport flex, which is your favorite band, Ed.
I'd have to say I like the sport flex, given how much I'm sweating and doing cardio.
So the beginner's guide to whoop bands is as follows.
Superknit is your great overall anything band.
It looks good when you go out.
It looks good when you exercise.
It holds up to sweat and water.
And so you're going to like that.
The cloud knit is our first cashmere band.
This is if you're looking for something a little bit warmer, a little cozier.
It looks good with a nice sweater you might be wearing or a jacket in the winter.
The sport flex is our silicone band, and this is like the hardcore waterproof band.
So no matter what you throw at it, it's going to bounce off because it's silicone.
And as Ed was saying, like if you exercise a lot, you probably want to have a sport flex.
We're also coming out with the cornet, which is probably our simplest band, and that's our most affordable band.
So we got a whole new collection of bands and encourage people to check those out.
All right, we got to talk about the new WOOP memberships because one of the biggest changes
with this announcement is that you now can join WOOP on three different tiers.
And you can upgrade to Woop on different tiers.
We have Woop 1, Woop Peak, and Woop Life.
Why don't we start with Woop 1?
So Woop 1 is our most accessible tier.
It provides professional grade fitness insights at our best price.
So with Woop 1, you get access to core Woop metrics, including strain, recovery, and sleep.
You also have a full set of features and metrics, including V-O-2 Max, hormonal insights, heart rate
zones, steps, cardiovascular strain, and musculoskeletal load.
So Woop 1 is great for kind of an everyday fitness member.
It includes our strength trainer.
It also has recovery metrics and insights, and it will also allow you to dive deep into all four
stages of sleep with guidance that matches sleep lab standards.
And Woop 1 comes on WOOP 5.0, and it comes with a basic charger.
You're still going to get your 14-day battery life.
And I think if you've never been on WOOP before and you want to give it a try and you're,
you know, you're into fitness, I think this is a great starting point.
100%.
and it's at the lowest price, you know, we've ever offered for whoop.
Woop peak is our default to membership.
That's what all of our existing members are being godfathered onto today, and it's the same
prices it has been.
What does Woop Peak include that's not on Woop 1?
Yeah, so Woop Peak, in addition to everything on Woop 1, Woop Peak has more advanced health,
fitness, and longevity insights.
So I'd say the number one thing that Peeke is.
has, which whoop one doesn't have, is health span, which we've talked about. So with
Woop Peak, you'll be able to see your Woop age and your pace of aging. So that's really
important for living longer and living a longer and healthier life. In addition to
health span, Woop Peak also has the health monitor and the stress monitor. So this will allow you
to see things like your key vitals from heart rate, blood oxygen, and skin temperature,
and at any point throughout the day or when you're looking at your sleep last night, you'll be
able to see your stress monitor. And I think that that peak is a pretty meaningful leap above
one. It's also now on the new 5.0 platform long battery life comes with the wireless power pack.
And just adding the health span to the default membership is really a leap forward. I mean,
I think you all are going to really love this whoop age feature. Okay, going to Woop Life,
This is by far the most advanced and most premium membership. If you want the best that WOOP has to offer, you're going to want WOOP life with WOOP MG.
That's right. Woop Life is the most powerful Woop experience we've ever delivered. So this includes everything you get on Woop 1 and Woop Peak. So, you know, sleep, strain, recovery, VO2 Max, hormonal insights, all of that. But it goes even further in that with Woop Life, you also get the heart screener with ECG.
And you also get our new blood pressure insights.
Yeah, these are huge new health features that just from a WOOP standpoint, like a WOOP R&D standpoint, took us the longest and cost us the most to bring to market.
And both of those features are quite innovative.
And in particular, blood pressure insights is something that you won't find anywhere else in the market.
I think it's worth also saying that Woop Life as a Tier is really our Frontier Science Tier.
We're going to be coming out with more medically cleared features.
We're going to be coming out with more wellness features that are like pushing the frontier of what is really possible with wearable technology.
So if you want to be getting the best and the most sophisticated tech, the soonest from WOOP, it's always going to be on WOOP life.
We've also announced that we're going to be rolling out advanced labs, which for WOOP is a first, and it's going to enable our members to take blood tests.
Yeah, this is a very exciting feature we are actively working on right now and I can't wait, can't wait to release it.
Essentially, you'll be able to analyze 60 to 70 biomarkers.
You're going to be able to book the lab test through whoop and then all of the data will now be integrated into your 24-7 wearable data.
And that's really a first of its kind.
That's right.
And in addition to actually seeing those biomarkers and which ones are in range versus out of range,
We will be able to actually tell you how to improve those biomarkers, and you'll be able to use Whoop to track your progress.
So it really makes sense to combine this with Whoop, especially with Whoop 5.O and MG, because it's tied into the coaching and the insights that we offer.
And it's a way to get yourself checked up every once in a while and see where you're improving.
Yeah, and I'll just say, like, we don't launch new product categories often.
Like, we really have barely done it in the 13 years of the company's history.
And this is us saying we think blood work, biomarkers is important.
We think it's part of your overall health.
And we are looking to build that health operating system that puts all of your data in one place.
And so we've enabled a wait list for this new feature and for you to be able to do WOOP Advanced Labs.
That's in the WOOP app.
And on our website.
and we're going to be rolling it out in September.
That's right.
We're looking forward to it.
We will first roll it out to our Whoop Life members and then to others after that.
And I think if people are trying to figure out what membership's right for them,
everyone in my life I've given WhoopMG to and Whoop Life too,
just because it's by far the most powerful.
And particularly now giving people older family members who are in their 60s or 70s,
like giving them tools that allow them to really.
understand their heart health and their blood pressure, like, for me, that's been a very powerful
moment in the evolution of whoop. Pricing for people who are curious, Woop won $199 a year in the
U.S. Woop peak, $239 a year, so that's the same pricing that it's always been. And Woop Life,
$359 a year. You know, hopefully this now gives people a bunch of options to choose what's right
for them. I think Woop's gotten more accessible.
accessible in the sense that whoop 1 is our lowest price point ever. It's sporty. It's probably going to
appeal to a younger audience as well. And Woop Life now has new medical capabilities, new health
capabilities that should attract also a new audience. And those two things make me really excited
about the membership tiers. Yeah, same here. And by the way, just like Woop 4.0, with all of those
membership prices, the hardware is included. So you don't have to pay an additional expense
for the hardware. Once you're a member,
hardware's included. Yeah, that's a great point.
For those upgrading, they can figure out what
hardware they want to go to, WOOP 5 versus Woop MG,
if they want to stay on peak or if they want to go to life.
All of that's in the WOOP app.
And a surprise, if you have over five years
of recoveries on Woop, so 1,825 recoveries,
you're going to get our milestone collection for free.
And that's this beautiful box that we've designed.
It's really kind of like a watch-like experience.
I took some inspiration from, you know, like what opening a Rolex box or, you know, a
protect-full-leap might feel like.
And so it's a really cool experience.
It's got stores so you can put all your various bands and batteries and things in the box.
And it also comes with a travel pouch.
So for those of you've been on Whoop for a long time, if you upgrade to Whoop Life,
you're getting the very elevated milestone collection for free.
Thank you.
It's a beautiful box.
And it has a personalized engraving on the inside as well with,
your initials and saying member sense whenever you first became a member.
Yeah, that's right.
Another benefit for upgraders is we actually developed this gift kit, which is going to
enable you as an upgrader to give your 4.0 to a friend or family member.
I'm very excited about this gift kit.
And it's something we will be sending gift kits to anyone who wants to give their 4.0 away
to a friend.
It's a really beautiful little kit that a band is included, a new band, and all.
All you have to do is take your old band off your 4.0, put it in the box, and hand it off to a friend.
Yeah, it's this, I think, well-designed little kit that just allows you to clean up your old 4.0 and put on a fresh band.
It looks brand new by the time you're done with it.
And you can give it to a friend.
And if they join Whoop, you get a bunch of Whoop credits.
That's right.
You get Whoop credits.
They also, by the way, get a two-month free trial on Whoop.
It's the only way you can get a two-month free trial rather than one-month free trial.
and they can decide whether they want to, at the end of those two months, go ahead and upgrade to a membership or upgrade to the latest hardware, and we will send them the latest hardware if they decide to do that. In which case, they can then gift the 4.0 to another friend. So continue to pay it forward.
Yeah, it's very clever. I think you and the team did a great job on it. And hopefully it gives people a chance to upcycle or recycle their 4.0 is in a productive way.
Looking at all that we just rolled out, what's your favorite feature?
Oh, gosh, there's so much, so many new features, it's hard to pick one favorite. That's like asking who's my favorite child. But I guess if I have to pick one, for me personally, I would pick the heart screener with ECG. As I mentioned before, having had AFIB myself a couple of times, I'm just very much looking forward to being able to figure that out from my whoop and not having to go to the doctor to get an ECG. So that'd be mine.
Yeah, that's a great one.
I think mine is health span with the whoop age.
I mean, it's just so addictive in a good way, I would say, to have this tool that's telling
you essentially were your metrics this week or this month good or not.
And are you doing better than your age group or not?
And, you know, I'm a little competitive.
So having that nudge every week is, it's been super good for me.
I hope all of our members feel that way.
One of the metrics we are going to be looking at on the product team just to
measure the success of this feature is what is the average whoop age across our member base
and is that going down over time, not going up over time? And we believe that we can help that number
go down for everyone. And if we succeed at this, I think that we can help people live longer lives
and as kind of a longer mission, you know, can we add a decade to all of our members' lives?
it's worth saying we love the feature enough to add it to our mission because our mission
at OOP is now to unlock human performance and health span. So it is pretty great. And I think the
underrated answer to this question of favorite feature is the battery life. Yes. Like 14 day
battery life was something that we dreamed of, you know, years ago. We didn't think was possible
given the amount of data we collect. And the team just went at it for years. And we really had
some breakthroughs on that front. And when you have it, like you really forget you're wearing.
it and you really forget about it. That's a really good point. And that was a huge cross-functional
effort across hardware, firmware, software, data science. Everyone worked at improving that battery
life without sacrificing inequality. Yeah, it's worth saying just part of what makes WOOP a very
difficult company to build, but I think makes potentially the product experience that much better
is we do control all of these different units. We're not.
outsourcing or, you know, licensing technology in any category. We build our own hardware. We build
our own software, our own firmware. We do our own data science, our own signal processing. We do
our own design. We do our own software. And so bringing those things together is what enables us to
have a 14-day battery life or have a breakthrough like that because you don't know exactly which
knob you're going to need to turn. And it's probably turning a few knobs across a few of those
different disciplines. We've covered a lot here. And for people who have more questions about
everything that we're launching, whoop.com is a great resource. If you're an existing member going
into the app. Also, we just did Woop Unlocked, where we really go deeper on some of the different
features and functionality. So I'd encourage people to check that out as well.
Very excited for today. Can't wait for everyone to try out this new and improved Woop.
Yeah, I'll just say, look, we've been working on this new technology for
three and a half years. I've been thinking about it for now 13 years, so it's been a long time
in the making. We're quite proud of it. We love hearing from our members, so we want to hear
your feedback. Don't hesitate to reach out to us. And we hope you love it as much as we do.
