This is a headgum podcast.
Going on dates and meeting new people should be fun.
But you can only really have fun if you have peace of mind.
And a huge part of that is staying on top of your sexual health.
You should never have to worry about where your next birth control refill is coming from or where to get tested.
Unfortunately, getting that kind of basic health care is getting way more complicated for so many people.
Right now, the Trump administration is going after Title 10 family.
planning. It's the only federal program devoted solely to funding care like birth control,
cancer screenings, and STI testing, and treatment for uninsured, underinsured, and low-income people.
Title 10 has never been controversial. It was created in 1970s, so no one would ever have to go without
reproductive care. But Planned Parenthood isn't backing down. They're still showing up for patients,
making sure everyone can get access to the necessary care they need when they need it the most.
If you believe all people should have access to health care,
Planned Parenthood needs you in this fight.
Don't let them get away with this.

I cannot tell you how many times I have fallen for a viral hair trend online.
I would see a video of someone with gorgeous hair and buy the exact same products,
and then my curls just end up feeling crunchy and dry.
I have to remind myself to stop forcing my natural texture into this,
like one size fits all routine.
That's why Baskin Lather is so great.
It's a black-owned family-operated brand
created after the CEO's sister was told
that her hair might never grow back.
Her family formulated their own oils,
and today her hair is down to her hips.
They have a stimulating scalp and hair balm,
which is fantastic.
It uses 100% natural ingredients
to nourish curly hair
and reduce breakage without using any greasy petroleum.
I also love the hydrating hair mist.
It blends aloe vera and avocado oil to treat dryness and redefine curls.
It's perfect for keeping hair soft and hydrated when it's in a protective style.
If you've been struggling to find hair products that work for you, you have to check them out.

This past summer was way too hot and hectic, so sometimes the only fix is to load up my car,
grab the nice man in my life, and find somewhere quiet to reset.
A little while ago, we took a quick getaway up to Santa Barbara.
So we booked a home on Airbnb, tucked into a quiet, tree-lined hillside neighborhood.
The home was so cute.
Our host left a sweet little guide to the area, so we took their advice and walked
down a trail to a nearby farm stand for fresh fruit and local pastries.
We spent the rest of the day browsing cute antique shops in town nearby,
and the nice man found and bought me this cute little flamingo that holds my sunglasses.
It was a nice souvenir of the trip.
In the evenings, instead of fighting for a dinner reservation,
we fired up the barbecue in the backyard of the home.
We booked, and my nice man grilled up some chicken.
We picked up from a local butcher.
I don't know if it was the fresh ingredients or it was just cooked by the nice man in my life,
but it was the best chicken I've ever had.
Booking a home on Airbnb has completely changed the way I travel.
I love that it gives you the chance to explore a new place, discover local spots,
and have those little moments together that make a trip feel special.
Why Won't You Date Me?
Maybe welcome to another episode of Why Won't You Date Me, a podcaster, me, Nicole Beyer,
was trying to figure out why I was so single,
even though you could come on my cheek and tell me its highlighter.
My guest today is an iconic drag queen who competed on RuPaul's drag race season 18.
You can see her on tour with a drag queen Christmas coming to a city near you.
I'm excited.
She's wearing the shoes.
Michelle Vissage hated that I love that I own in white and purple.
It's darling.
Thank you so much for being here.
Thank you for having me.
And thank you for giving the shoes the proper shout out.
I like them.
Maybe the shoes that almost won season 18.
I love them.
They're sturdy.
They're good to walk in.
They're sturdy.
They're good.
They are tall.
They're like everything you need.
I think they're cute.
Hey, they had to pick something, right?
They had to pick something.
So you auditioned for the show.
Hold on.
In my research, it says,
one,
dos,
three,
four,
five times.
Yes, five times.
That's wild.
Yeah, first one,
first one was season nine.
Uh-huh.
9, 10, 11, took a little break, did, I think it was 14.
And then I said like that would be when I was like done.
Yeah, 14.
And then you did 18.
And then yeah, I like kind of like almost like restructured my whole life.
Like went to cosmetology school, started working in the salon.
And I was like, you know what?
Maybe it's time to just like pack it up, deep up.
Get out of here.
Stop doing the drag.
Literally, literally that.
And then all of like my like friends and clients and everything were.
We're all like just like one more time.
Come on one more time.
One more time.
And so I, you know, decided if it was going to be my last time that it was going to be just the best that I had.
And just like to really, you know, hammer it.
And I did it and I got it.
I love it.
And you got the call while you were blowing out someone's hair.
Literally.
Yes.
So like I had the, you know, like the visual voicemails like where it comes across.
So like I'm literally in the middle of someone's hair.
And I can see that it's like a number, like an L.A. number that I don't have saved.
I'm like, okay, I'm kind of expecting a call,
but I don't want to get my hopes up, you know what I mean?
And then the visual voicemail starts.
And it's like, you know, like, I'm so-and-so with World of Wonder, like, da-da-da.
And I'm just like, oh, my God, oh, my God.
And I'm like, get out of here.
Get out just like, you know, just, yeah.
She's like, actually my hair.
And you're like, I don't really care.
I simply don't care.
She's just being yanked.
She walks out looking like this.
I fucking love that.
Did you tell your client or no?
Yes.
So, like, I told them, like, not the whole thing, but I was like, I'm expecting
like a really big call and I think I just got it.
You know what I mean?
And the salon owner kind of knew like what I was expecting because I was queuing her
into like, you know, my hopes and dreams.
Yes.
And so yeah, it was wild.
It was crazy.
I fucking love that.
Yeah.
So you are a married woman.
Yes.
How did you guys meet?
It was a DM.
It was a DM.
Who DM'd who first?
So he DM'd me.
Ooh.
And.
What was the picture?
Do you remember?
Oh, so it was a DM.
So it wasn't a picture.
Sure. But it was on Instagram?
Yes.
Okay. So what was the DM?
I really should scroll back and find it.
I don't even remember what the first one was.
But he was shooting a lot of like drag queens because he was a photographer.
So like he had shot a lot of my friends and I would see his little watermark.
You know?
And I'm like, who is this that shooting all my friends and hasn't asked me?
Like what the hell?
Wow.
Like what the hell?
And then so come to find out years later, he.
he told me that because I had like two Instagram accounts I had my boy Instagram and trash
and yeah it's just so funny that you chose the name trash coming to the stage trash and there I am
but I guess he had like followed and messaged my boy account yes and I was never really on there
much at that time and so it just sat you know and he was immediately thinking like oh my
God, what a douchebag.
Like, how rude.
Like, you couldn't even say anything.
Like, and so, like, I don't know if that's what, like, made him be, like, standoffish or
when that time period was.
That's so funny.
But, yeah, we, he DM'd.
We, um, we went on a date.
Um, I ended up, I did end up getting the photo shoot.
Yeah.
Okay.
I did end up getting the photo.
Did you have to pay for it?
I did not.
I did not.
Okay.
Okay.
Um, but yeah, started on Instagram.
We had like some mutual friends, but yeah, mostly just through the DM.
Okay.
And then was it like off to the races?
You did the date, the photo shoot, and then you were just a couple?
It was pretty much that.
It was so fast.
So let's see.
I think our first date was February, official by March.
Okay.
And I had him moving from Venice to Silver Lake in September.
Oh my God.
And even before that, I had like a section.
in the closet in Venice.
Lesbians.
It was fast.
I had my God.
I had my friends and even like my family being like, don't do this, babe.
Like this is like so fast.
You know what I mean?
Like hang on.
And everything just felt right.
There was like one moment where we had like a little split.
And it was when we were living here in that house.
And that was like a major decision.
and part of the sobriety where I was like,
this feels like a really good thing.
I don't want to lose this.
And I also feel like I'm sort of losing myself.
So in order to just like try to like almost save everything.
Everything.
You were like, let me just stop this.
I need to, yeah, I need to stop this.
Okay.
And it literally, I think it saved like my life,
but it also saved my relationship with Brandon.
And here we are.
So.
I love this.
that you knew, you were like,
this is a special thing, I wanna do whatever I can
to preserve it.
Absolutely.
And then you were like, friends were like,
don't do it.
You're like, because what's the worst that happens?
You break up and then you separate your lives.
Yes.
But best case scenario, you don't gotta fucking do that.
I know, I know.
And that's nice and fun.
Who proposed to who?
So I proposed to him.
And what'd you do?
So I grew up going to this lake in Indiana
that my grandpa started us going to
as a family and he passed when I was in college and Brandon and I was very close to my grandparents.
They lived just right across the driveway and I don't know why that made me laugh.
Just right across the driveway.
Also, it's so.
They didn't have a home.
They lived right next to the mailbox.
Also, I just noticed myself do it.
Brandon makes fun of me all the time.
It's my Indiana.
I always say across and he's like, babe, there's no T.
Across.
I just noticed myself to it.
So I'm just going to be like, hey, we're going to do it.
Yeah.
But yeah, they lived across the driveway.
And he was also very close to his grandparents.
And they passed when he was in, I think, like, high school age, college, high school age.
And I took him to the lake for the first time when we were dating.
And we were, like, sitting, like, low in the water in, like, my dad's, like, fish boat.
And it was, like, sunset.
and he turned to me and he was like,
I don't know if I believe in heaven,
but it has to look something like this.
And I was just like, I remembered that.
And so we went to the lake.
We went on a trip to the lake
and we took our best friends with us.
I borrowed his grandparents' wedding rings
from his mom,
who I asked permission from before we went.
And she was like, you can absolutely have the rings.
And so I put them like on like a chain.
And I had them like under my like tank top.
And then I like called him like out to the dock.
I was like, do you remember when you said that this was like something like heaven?
And he was like, yeah, what's like what's going on?
And I was like, well, if it's anything like heaven, then I think my grandpa who brought us here for the first time is witnessing this moment.
And I think your grandparents are witnessing this moment.
And would you do the honor of marrying me in front of them?
and it was like I have never he's like a little bit like robotic with his emotions you know he's a shy guy
and that was like the first time that I feel like I like I not that I like hadn't seen him because
we'd been together for 10 years but like I had seen him in a way that was just like this is like
the love of my life or this is my partner like he just like broke you know what I mean just
I'm going to start crying.
I fucking love this.
He actually had to go on a walk by himself after it because he was like, hold up, hold up, hold up.
I think I need to go cry by myself for a while.
So then he left and I was just like partying with my friends.
Being like, he said yes.
That's so funny.
You're like, I need to go self-regulate.
I will come back to the party in a minute.
That's so adorable.
And then at your wedding, it was officiated by a dolly part and tribute.
artist. Yes, Fancy Vega. I love that. And then she performed a Dolly Mega Mix and then an
image of Kermit and Miss Piggy was projected during your first dance. Yes. I love that so
much. You are just like, truly, I said it before, like, you're having a nice time.
Exactly. You're just having fun. And it was, it was so, um, that room, and I'm sure everybody
says this about their own wedding, but like that room was just the most love.
and joy, like, it just felt amazing.
Like, and even, like, I, part of the experience that I had with, like, the show and filming was that I told my, um, family members, like, mom, dad, grandma, sisters, and I threw everybody in a group chat, like, right before I was supposed to go film and, um, told them that I was a drag queen and that I had done it for a long time.
And, um, it was like mixed responses.
It was like, you know, supportive but not quite understanding or some being like, you know, I don't know if I really want to talk about it or, you know what I mean?
And some just like not responsive at all.
So then when you have to give up your phone.
Yes.
You're sort of like, well, how is this landing?
Like how, like, you know what I mean?
Like is everything okay?
And, you know, that was part of like this like being really emotional.
And then so cut to the wedding.
And I'm inviting my, you know, family, my conservative family from Indiana.
You know, and I'm like.
I'm a drag queen.
Also, you want to come to a gay wedding?
And they've been like, oh, they love Brandon.
You know, like, and they watched the show.
And, you know, after, after filming and everything and after I did get my phone back,
it was like positive.
And it was just like, yes.
I fucking love that.
But cut to the wedding.
And I'm kind of like, so we're going to have a dolly impersonator.
We're going to have her perform.
The whole cast is going to be there.
Like, there might be people in, you know what I mean?
And they're just kind of like nodding me like, like, yes.
Yes.
Sure.
Yes, let's do it.
I'm sure it's the most fun they've ever fucking had.
My dad came up to me during the ceremony and was, I mean, and he's like, you know, typical
Indiana conservative guy.
Like, he came up and he was like, I have never been in a place where there's this much joy
and that I feel like I can talk to anybody and people are excited to talk to me.
And just like also a few months ago, he came to his first drag show in Indianapolis.
He probably had the best fucking time.
best time.
Oh my God.
Of course I'm waterworked.
Like the stage is wet.
You know?
Like I'm just like I'm sobbing.
I don't know if he was expecting that part.
But yeah,
he had the best time.
And again,
he was sort of shocked.
He was like,
people want to like talk to me or like tell me
they're proud of me for being here.
And he was like,
I'm not sure if I'm understanding.
And I'm like,
it's a big deal.
It is a big deal.
I would have never imagined that I would ever have him out of drag show.
Or like that they would even watch.
You know, like going to film and, you know,
the texts and stuff and being like,
I don't even know if they're going to watch.
You know, like, did I just sabotage so much or, you know,
and then for it to just completely go the other way, crazy.
I fucking love that.
It also, okay, I feel like all conservative people should watch to Wong Fu.
And when they come to the town and, like, bring joy to the town,
because I'm just like, that's all drag is.
It's joyful and it's wonderful.
And sure, like,
There is, you know, the flip side where some of it is sexual, some of it is like filthy, whatever.
But most of it for me is just joyful.
Joy.
It's joy and self-expression and like that's about it.
Yes.
Yeah.
Just like expressing authenticity.
Yeah.
Like not being afraid to be joyful, afraid to have feelings.
You know what I mean?
I feel like that that was like, I don't know if that it's like, I don't know if that's nationwide or just like conservative or just Midwest.
But I just feel like there was sort of this kind of like.
And not even just like sadness or happiness,
but it was just sort of like,
emotions are almost like sort of like
capped at a certain point.
And as far as like sharing them.
You know what I mean?
And I feel like drag just sort of like blows that up
where it's just like whatever you're feeling,
feel it and multiply it by 10.
You know what I mean?
And I think that's nice.
Well, I think, I mean, yes, women are drag queens,
but traditionally, for the most part,
I feel like it's men.
Come from me in the comments.
But I do feel like men are taught to not emot
and not have feelings.
but in drag, it's like I've seen drag queens do some of the saddest songs.
And when I met Latrice Royal for the first time, I saw her on stage and I went, wow, she really reminds me of my dead mummy.
And then I just started growing in the death of the show.
I was like, can someone tell?
Lettriish reminds me my dead mummy?
It's very that.
Like I, and that's another thing that I feel like that drag has sort of like, I would like to sort of bring back.
You know what I mean?
Move in the, move back into that.
where it's like, it doesn't have to be a cat, cat, cat, cat.
No, it really doesn't.
Like, I want to stand there and be moved.
Yes.
You know, like, I want to see the dancing.
I want to see, you know, the eight counts.
But, like, I want to, like, be moved.
You know what I mean?
Like, like you said, like the tree story out, like, stand there in a gown and make me sob.
I don't think she, you know what I mean?
She bounced twice.
And I was like, oh, my mama.
You vary, very that.
Real quick, we have to take a break.
Okay.

I love putting together
a fun look for a night out
and a good pair of glasses
can completely elevate an outfit.
But trying to actually buy
a prescription pair used to be a nightmare.
Buying glasses felt complicated.

Being on television, you are a married woman. Yes. Are people coming through in the DMs,
being like, let me suck your dick.
Do you want to suck my dick?
Oh, they want both at the same time, baby.
They want the full Eiffel Tower experience.
They're like, your husband can come too.
Yes, yes, exactly, exactly.
Wait, how long have you been together?
So 10 years, just over 10 years.
So our 10 year anniversary was March 25th,
and we got married on the 28th.
Oh, I love that.
And some of the divas in attendance,
Jane Don't
Juicy Love Dionne Mia Star
Nini Cocoa Vita Vontes
Star
Briar Blush
Why wasn't the whole cast?
Just my favorite
No, I'm kidding
I'm kidding
That's such a shady question
I'm absolutely kidding
But I love that you had your sisters there
Yes, yeah yeah yeah
I just I loved the persona
I love your persona
Thank you
What you presented on television
Seems very much who you are in person
It was literally like no time
to think and it was just like what you are
as what you know at least like from my perspective it was just like
I don't have time to think or
you know what I mean to like come up with like
any sort of you know bit
you know so it was just like what I am is what I am and here
you go. How do you stay so positive? Is that a bad question?
Yeah. Because people ask me that and I'm like I don't know.
Yeah it's kind of like I don't know I think
not to get like too too sappy but I feel like
sobriety has a lot to do with it
and I feel like just like going hand in hand
with sobriety was like a lot of internal work and therapy and you know and I feel like that
that also just sort of like helps a lot that like even when even when I'm feeling like down or
negative or you know because like the show was emotional like they what they presented was like
the most positive joyful girl in the world but like I can tell you that's not what was
happening and the other girls on set can tell you that's not what was happening but just sort
of like that that outlook of just like kind of trusting,
trusting your gut, trusting what you got, trust it.
And you know, if it's meant for you, it'll happen in time.
And I feel like that that kind of just like breeds positivity.
Once you like kind of just like let that happen and let that sink in that like what's
for you will ultimately be for you and what's not, you know, won't be.
That's what I believe.
And that might suck in the moment.
Yes.
But you know, something's for you.
It will come.
May I ask about your sobriety?
Yeah.
How long have you been sober?
So I don't have like a sober like birthday, but probably like we're probably getting close to like we're probably getting close to nine, nine or ten.
Congrats.
Yeah.
Because like Brandon, thank you.
Brandon and I started dating.
And then I think it was probably like about like a year, maybe like a year or two after that.
When I decided to stop drinking, literally came downstairs one morning and just poured everything out.
And like the free, the boxed wine from Trader Joe.
babe, the freezer, and just poured it all and was just like, I'm done.
Like, and was there a catalyst for it or were you just like, I'm tired?
I was ready for a change.
And Brandon and I's relationship, I don't know if we would, if we would be where we're
at if I had kept drinking.
And I was just ready for a better life.
I was ready for a better relationship with myself.
And honestly, I think that has a lot to do with.
the positivity is just like wanting a better relationship with myself.
I was tired of like not liking myself.
I like that you were like,
I'm tired of not liking myself.
I need to make a change.
Maybe this is it.
Exactly.
And then it ended up being good.
And it was very good.
I used to like binge drink.
I was a binge drinker.
Oh yeah.
I loved getting tore up.
And then I got medicated.
And I was like, oh, maybe I don't need to drink as much.
Maybe I don't need to black out every time I go to a bar.
And learning that has been really nice.
Because I would wake up and be like, what did I do?
Then people would tell me stories and I'd be like, ha, ha, ha, ha.
But it got to a point where I was like, this is not cute anymore.
I know.
It's really not cute.
And it's like, it's like people want you to like be the like most fun they've had.
And it's like, oh, you just want me to be your fun.
Yeah.
I don't owe that to you.
No.
I don't.
Like, you can find your own.
I'm sorry, Dina, but y'all are on your own now because I'm off the bottle.
I'm off the bottle.
Yes.
How did you find your drag aesthetic?
And has it changed?
Because you were performing as trash?
As trash.
Yeah.
Believe it or not, this is the refinement.
It is refined.
I like it.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Thank you so much.
I love the blue eye shadow.
Thank you.
I love blue eye shadow.
Baby, the blue barn doors.
You can't get better.
Just, mw.
Barn doors.
There's some contouring in there.
There's some color.
You can't call them garage doors or barn doors.
We gave them some shape.
But who was trash?
Tell me about trash.
So trash, like basically like when I would walk into the gig,
multiple times my friends would call me like, you know, like other queens in the dressing room whatever,
would say like, well,
here comes the walking thrift store.
You know,
or like,
here comes goodwill,
you know,
because I literally would just like go
and find just like the radiest little like $2,
$5 things,
run some scissors through it and be like,
this is off the runway.
This is off the runway.
I don't know.
Is this a chore, diva?
And honestly kind of how my experience on the show went on the runway.
But like,
I've always just sort of had this,
you know,
I don't know,
specific flavor.
And I think a lot is credited to just like,
my upbringing and like being from the Midwest I always sort of like will like take a spin on that
sort of you know that sort of woman that sort of girl um I've always just sort of admired that
sort of style that style that is just kind of like trashy yeah very dolly parton and very yeah just
like very like I am what I am and you can hate it or love it but here I am I'm in the room like
what is the it's like it's very expensive to look this cheap yes and I love that
that quote.
Yes.
And then there's also like,
in that same sort of vein,
there's like the John Waters quote.
It's some,
I'm gonna butcher it.
But it's like,
in order to have like,
in order to like have,
appreciate bad taste,
you have to have good taste or something.
It's something like that.
And I feel like that's sort of like right
where my drag falls too.
Like I'm playing by the rules.
You know,
it's stoned.
Yeah.
Work winning to it.
Okay.
Um,
but then like.
There's a bow.
It is stone.
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
But then like twisting it to sort of this like, you know, you know, giving it that like bad bad glamour.
I kind of love thrift store chic, thrift store glamour.
Yes, yeah, yeah.
Because I, me personally, I miss Maldrake.
Same.
I miss the girls who look like they went to wet seal and just bought a dress, put on some tights, you know, looking real fishy in the fit.
Like, I miss that.
Uh-huh.
But I love this.
I think it's fun.
Thank you.
I think it's personal.
I think you have to have some sort of personality to walk into a goodwill and pull a look.
Yes, I would agree.
And I feel like that that's something that maybe sort of like drag has moved away from.
And I think like fans just like expect so much perfection.
Yes.
That like it almost makes us like want to play by the rules like their rules so fiercely.
So we don't get critiqued.
You know what I mean?
Or we don't.
But I feel like that is kind of like the whole point of drag is to do like, you know, give them a middle finger a little bit.
You know what I mean?
So like I love living in that world where it's sort of like I'm playing by the rules but I'm still being like.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I'm bending it a little bit.
I'm having fun.
Yeah, I feel like you, your whole season, what I see online, like you're just having a nice time.
Yes.
Fully.
And that makes me so happy.
I'm just like this has been a dream for so.
Like I literally said, first audition was nine.
I'm like, this has been a dream for so long, you know, and like we can become so busy and wrapped up in it that we almost forget that.
So like, it takes a lot of reminding to be like, this is my dream.
This is, I'm only going to get to do this once.
I'm going to enjoy it and put the biggest, dumbest smile on my face through the entire thing.
Because this is just fucking cool, you know?
Like, I'm living, I'm literally going through what I dreamed for myself, you know?
I feel like sometimes people in the creative space
kind of lose side of that sometimes.
Absolutely.
Where they're just like searching for perfection
or they're mad about this and that and the other.
I recently was working on this thing
and it was really hot outside
and they had me in a three-piece suit.
And I was like sweating and drenched
and a producer was like, we're so sorry to have you out.
And I looked at them and I said, it's okay.
This is my dream.
I'm having fun.
And I'm okay.
I just keep saying to myself,
of I'm cool, I'm cold.
And they just looked at me and were like, okay.
And I was like, I guess they didn't have to know the ins and outs of my mind and how it's working.
I was like, yeah, I'm sweating.
But also I'm like, I'm like filling something.
It's really, it's fucking cool what I get to do.
And I'm like like like like even when people like come to you like with like some sort of apology or like just like a reminder of like what's actually happening.
And then you remind them of like your reality.
They want to just hear like, you know that it's just like that it's just like, you
You're happy. It's your dream. It's okay.
Because I've learned that in meet and greets the hard way.
Like I've been like, you know, once I like get comfortable
with somebody and I'm like, oh my God,
like you would not believe how tired I've been to this place
and my feet are so, and like the person,
you can see the person start like sinking into the void.
You know what I mean? I'm like, oh, you want the person on TV.
Okay, sorry, the person on TV. Okay.
Cooking with gas, woo!
Like, you know what I mean?
That is funny. Although sometimes
in meet and greets, I don't really do them anymore.
Just because it tucker's me out.
Yeah.
But I've had people be like, you hate this, don't you?
And I'm like, no.
No, I'm just not performing for you.
Exactly.
I'm just like being a normal person.
Like there are no like jokes for this.
Like the track will start in about 20 minutes.
You'll see it.
You'll see it.
It's like, yeah, if you stay for the next show, you'll see the same jokes again.
You'll see the same little, he-hoo, ha, ha, aside that I've built into the show.
But like, this is just me.
I'm sorry.
In the outfit I'm traveling with.
Yeah, truly.
Can I talk to you about the roast that you did?
Oh, yes, let's go there.
So it was not a traditional, like, set up, punch, twist, joke.
It was very avant-garde, dare I say?
But it was deeply funny.
Thank you.
Was that, did you perform that as written,
or was that a lot of it off the cuff?
So a little bit of both.
Okay.
A little bit of both.
So, like, the episode showed like the writing,
you know, like the panel when we were at there.
And that was like literally like,
where I was at and I was
at peace with going
home
you were like well the bads are past
yes I remember like when we stepped out
like to do well like even
even before that like I remember then
I think it was the day before we were in the workroom like
prepping and like
I had the idea of like doing
you know like this that
this sort of like prop bring things out and just
sort of like just completely
go left and I was like
I don't know if I can do that.
Like, I don't know if I have the skill or, like, the comedy chops to, like, read the room.
Like, I'm nervous about what's reading.
I mean, you saw it, like, the cards were shaking.
And I'm like, I'm just nervous about reading this card, let alone, like, trying to read and gauge the room.
You know what I mean?
Like, I don't know if I can do that.
And it was Jane, actually.
Jane was like, you have to swing big.
She's like, right now, girl, you're going to be packing.
Like, if you, like, swing, you have to swing big and go for it.
And I'm like, okay, okay.
So literally, like, I made this little, like, hot glue gun purse with all the props and stuff that I just happened to bring.
And everybody else was like, why do you have these things?
And I'm like, you never know.
You never know.
And turns out.
Oh, yeah.
But, like, I hot glue, you know, this little purse.
And even when I brought it up to the podium, like, I remember having the thought being like, what if I just, like, turned around and left?
Like what if I just like said by and like walked out?
Like I wasn't even sure if I was going to interact with the purse.
Like so I read those first couple jokes and it was the edit did not lie.
It was crickets.
Like it was you know that like the like rattles sound?
Yes.
Oh, we all fully like heard it.
It was happening in real time.
And I wasn't even sure if I was going to like interact with that.
And then when I saw that it was just like dead, you know, that I was just like.
So then I just decided to just like.
hammer it and just like let her rip.
So like when I,
I forget even which one I pulled out the first time.
I think it was the burger.
Yeah.
Because I did the like,
I just don't see it and took off my glasses.
And then everybody's kind of,
and at that point like,
Rue like even like put her eyebrows down and was like,
oh, I think this is about to go somewhere.
You know what I mean?
Like I could see her being like, oh, this bitch is cooking.
And when I pulled out the burger and like I think it was,
again, Jay, my biggest supporter, love you girl.
And I think like she got off of her stool and was like hitting her legs.
And I was like, okay, I think like this, that just like made me want to just like go harder.
Just really go for it.
Because like once I get one, I'm like, oh, you love that.
Okay.
Oh, you want some more of that.
Okay.
So then it was just like we were off.
And it was so fun to watch.
It was insane.
Like truly Rue was like, you look for that moment with Rue where she's like smacking the table and like cackling.
And like, cackling.
When I got that, I was like, oh, I think I'm good.
Like, I think I'm good.
I didn't know if I was going to win.
You know, I didn't, I, like, because I so fiercely did not play by the roast rules.
But I feel like, I don't know, sometimes that's what you need to do.
And you slap in your little shoe really made me laugh.
I was like, oh, my God, it killed me.
So, yeah, it was, it was just like one of those things where it was just like, the stars aligned.
It was just like, it sort of just like in that moment, it just felt like lightning struck, you know.
It was just like one of those moments where it was just like everything came.
Just like the stars aligned and then it was perfect.
Wait, why did you take a break from drag?
So how long were you doing it before you took your break?
So let's see, I started Dragon probably 2014.
Trash lasted.
Every time you say it, it makes me laugh.
Trash blasted.
Yeah.
I took the trash out about 20, maybe like 20, let's see, probably like four or five years.
And then I just used my given name.
Like I changed my Instagram handle and that had a lot to do with sobriety.
I didn't feel like trash anymore.
Fair.
Okay.
Yes.
And so then I almost had to figure out like how drag fit into my identity.
And I was still trying to like figure out, you know, kind of like,
a little bit of like gender and how drag played with that.
And, you know, if I wasn't on the stage and I wasn't partying,
but I still wanted to be in drag, what did that mean?
And, you know, trying to figure that out.
And so I used my given name for a couple years.
And at that point, I wasn't really performing at all.
Like, I would still do photo shoots and stuff and do, like, content online.
But, like, I was not in the clubs at all.
Yeah.
When I decided, like, okay, I'm ready to, like, come with another character again,
like come up with like you know I'm ready to like do this again and literally that's right when like
auditions were coming around too and I wasn't sure if I was going to audition and I remember like
texting my friend that worked in production and I was like did I just shoot my like chances of
getting it since I just changed my name and they're like girl I promise you they're not watching you
like that and I was like fair of me fair fair right they were like where's trash
I'm like I don't know girl I've got 4,000 followers so I think I
God, that's so funny.
My goodness, did I make a mistake changing my persona?
Girl, no, nobody cares.
They are not looking at you like that, girl.
Do you have any advice for queens or just people in general who would like to go out into the nightlife, but they're sober and a little scared about it?
As far as, like, going out into nightlife, I think that, like, all of the emotions and all the fun that you're able to have.
drunk or substance or whatever, and especially in drag,
it almost helps you rely on your authenticity and your drag persona.
Because everything that you have when you are either high or drunk or whatever,
that's in you.
You know, like you are that person.
You have to find it.
And drag almost helps that, at least for me.
Yes.
Drag is what brings that forward.
Like that that version of me is what I had to like find that's almost like what I put on
Does that make sense?
I think so also when you drink club soda at the club do you sometimes have a placebo effect?
A little hey, wake it up, wake it up.
We get a little dizzy on the...
Wake it out, wake it up.
Because I did like a like a month and a half not drinking just fully just to be like I can do this.
And I would drink club soda
And then sometimes I'd leave the bar
And be like, can I drive?
And I'm like, I absolutely can I only had club soda
Maybe it was bubbly water.
I feel like very silly and I feel like, I don't know.
Yeah, no fully.
Straight to the dome.
Straight to the dome.
Club soda right to the dome, baby.
But I feel like the first couple times
We're strange.
We're very strange.
But like as soon as like, you know,
you still get the same reaction.
you start to learn that it's sort of like, oh, I'm just like, and I hate to like just like boil it down to this.
But it's also, I've learned the same thing with like going to like events or red carpets or whatever.
Or it's like my thoughts or like my feelings are not what other people are seeing.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
I'm a drag queen in attendance to everyone there.
You know what I mean?
So like if I have like if I have like the fiercest outfit or I spent like $2,000 on an outfit or whatever, it's like those people don't care.
No. I was a drag queen. I'm the drag queen that got invited. You know what I mean? Like they don't care. You know what I mean? So it's like that same sort of thing where it's like I don't know if I'm going to have the same amount of fun or I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it. And it's like, oh no, you can do it. Like that skill and that everything is still inside of you. And it's not changing their perception of you. You know what I mean? So like what's the, then what's the point? You know what I mean? I like that it's in you. Because that's not. I like, that's the point. You know what I mean? I like that it's in you. Because that's
That's true.
It's like the rowdiness, the funniness.
Like if you can do that drunk, you can channel that sober.
Yeah, truly.
That's exactly drag.
Yeah.
Have you been, wait, okay, so the Christmas tour, is this U.S. or are we leaving
the country again?
So this is just U.S. 39 cities.
Oh, my God.
From October or from November 11th to December 29th.
Oh, my God.
Mostly on a bus.
Ooh.
Lord.
So yeah.
That's tough.
It's going to be a wild one.
Have you done a bus tour before?
I've never done a bus tour.
So our top four was it wasn't that many cities, but it was all flying.
And honestly, like, I just assumed that that would be better.
Because, like, to me, like, a bus just seems, like, just daunting.
Terrible.
And, but honestly, like, the amount, you don't really think about the amount of time that it takes, like, get to the airport.
To check.
go through TSA.
You're being at the airport.
You know what I mean?
So all of the queens that I have talked to previously
that have done these tours are like,
it feels crazy before you do it.
But then it makes sense.
They're like, once you just sort of like surrender
that you are just like,
surrender that you're just like on like bus life.
You know what I mean?
That you're just like, it just becomes clockwork
and so much faster.
Like you just wake up on the bus
at the city that you're performing at.
You know, we eat there.
We perform.
we shower at the theater
Oh, then you get back on the bus.
We just get back on the bus.
Like there's, you know what I mean?
Yeah.
And I'm like, okay.
Sure.
Is Brandon going to meet you on any of these?
So we do have like a couple, a couple cities where it's like multiple, multiple days.
So I think he's going to meet at a couple, yeah.
I love this.
And I think Christmas, I think Christmas overlaps with like Knoxville.
Oh.
Christmas in Knoxville.
Ooh.
I don't think I've ever been to Knoxville.
Where's Dollywood?
Have you been to Dollywood?
No, I have.
haven't but it's in um is it called pigeon pigeon forge oh pigeon forge i want to go so bad so bad
but honestly that's where we have talked about um doing your honeymoon doing honeymoon yeah
what is the most romantic thing that brandon has done for you because that proposal was so
romantic he does like a lot of like i would say like little gestures as far as just like being there
and well like just recently so like um
I have just like always sort of like, I don't know why, but like I love the little like clear like, do you know what like a herkimer diamond?
Have you, do you know what that is?
I'm not in that tax bracket.
No, no, they're not that expensive.
What's a herkimer?
You can probably honestly just give you know like right around here there's that like gym store.
Yeah.
What is that house?
There.
Wait, house of intuition.
Yes.
They do like gymstones and like, you know, okay.
Yeah.
So you can honestly probably find it there.
But it's just like it's called a herkimer diamond.
but it's just like a clear
you know stone
and I don't know
I just like always think they're like really pretty
so like I mean for years
I've always just been like oh it would be like nice
to just have like a little tiny thing
you know what I mean just like and then when I got
home from one of the things like literally
just like on the thing was like a little
a little thin like you know
a little hercimer diamond and I was just like
just so like little things like that where it's just like
you are the one you know what I mean like
listening yeah
Yeah, yeah.
And when I like got back from from the race,
there was like a whole like dolly and flowers.
And because that was that like my queen.
Like that was number one.
So like of course like to get home,
I think he just like knew he was like,
I need the dog to be sitting here at the door.
I need all over there.
I need, you know, I need the dolly magazine.
I need a dolly DVD.
I need a dolly for few.
You know what I mean?
Like unlikely angel.
I love.
I love that.
Yeah.
So before meeting Brandon, do you have any, like, terrible dates that you went on?
Oh, God.
There was one that just like comes to mind.
So he was kind of like, he was going to school to be a newscaster.
Oh, I didn't know that that was, I guess, broadcast journalism?
Sure.
Okay.
And I realized that he did not turn that off.
Like that, like that voice, that voice was his.
So like everything was kind of in that sort of like
You know what I mean like
And for my entree?
And for my entree.
And that's wild.
And I hated it.
I hated it.
And so like and that was just during the meal.
And then we're going to see a movie.
And I forget, I honestly don't even remember the movie.
But it was like it wasn't a scary movie.
And there was like a little like jump where like something like came out of the bushes or something.
And we're like sitting there kind of like leaned into each other.
at the movie and like it scares him and he takes his elbow and like like and it jams into my
rib cage and I'm like I'm never seeing this man again like I want to get out of here so bad and
then he said he like apologizes and says sorry in his newscaster voice I'm so sorry you were
injured pisses me off even more and I'm just like never heard from him again oh never
I couldn't leave the grove fast enough I couldn't leave the grove fast enough do you know
Have you ever made it to be a newscaster?
I have no idea.
No idea.
That's so wild to like just speak like that in your normal voice.
Well, I mean, I guess he found his, he found his calling.
He found his passion.
Yeah, he found his calling.
That's so funny.
Do you have any advice for the divas who are single and looking?
Yes.
Okay, so do we, do we want to, do we want to go off?
Do we want, do we want the nitty gritty, like real tea?
Give me the nitty gritty.
Give it to me.
So I feel like something that is.
I feel like, okay, so like social media and everything that comes with that,
I feel like there's almost this sort of like toxic, it's almost like toxic positivity.
You know what I mean?
Or like where you almost become like over, what's the word?
What is like therapy?
Oh yeah, sure.
You know what I mean?
Using lots and lots of therapy.
Yes.
And maybe not even from, maybe just from someone that you follow that is just like spewing whatever their own opinions are.
But I feel like that that experience almost.
keeps you from making connections with other people.
Mm-hmm.
Do you know what I mean?
Yes.
Or, like, protecting your peace a little too fiercely.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
What you're talking about triggers me.
So, like, I'm just going to shut you down right now.
And I'm never going to talk to you again.
And it's like, what?
Yes.
But, like, sometimes you just have to hear shit from friends.
Sometimes you just have to hear the bad.
And I feel like, you know, like, of course, like you should never change who you are for someone.
But I feel like a lot of times the problems that we have,
with other people are also somewhere deep down
a reflection of something that's going on in us.
You know what I mean?
So it's like even when, you know, like,
I knew of a friend that had been dating someone
for like a long time.
And then it was like all of a sudden,
like these like little things started piling up.
And it's sort of like, well, you know you love this person.
You know you have a connection with this person.
Or there's like potential for it to go further.
Like are these little things potentially something
that is like setting something off
in you, you know what I mean, that you need to look at?
You know what I mean?
And I feel like that same sort of thing with just like people that are out there dating
where it's almost like sometimes changing things about yourself on purpose or for like a goal
or for, you know, for self-betterment is almost attracting the right people into your life.
Does that make sense?
So changing yourself for the better
will attract better people to your life?
Yes.
Or like, or like, yeah, I guess that's sort of the sentiment.
Yeah, kind of a winding thing.
You know what I mean?
Like you shouldn't have to change things about yourself that, you know, are...
Or like fundamental, like, core things.
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But like, if you do something destructive and you choose to change that,
that's for the better.
Or like, we all have like been in a conversation with like a girlfriend and like,
there's a little bit of like, you know, there's a little bit of something toxic there.
And they're like, but I shouldn't have to change.
And it's like, oh, no, but you, you honestly should.
You're the problem.
You honestly should change that.
You should change that, babe.
I can't remember.
I was having, I was complaining about something about the nice man in my life.
And my friend was like, you're the actual problem.
And I was like, I was like, me.
I wish I didn't remember what it was.
But it was like something so dumb.
And she was like, that's actually on you.
and you're being unreasonable.
Exactly.
And I was like, what?
And it turns out I was.
And I think that almost comes along
like with like social media or like, you know,
sort of like.
We're all right.
Right?
And almost like owed something.
Yes.
We're all right.
We're all owed something.
And it's like, no, not in a relationship.
Yeah.
It's kind of it's give and take.
And I feel like that also creates a block or a barrier to like
authenticity and vulnerability.
like when all of a sudden you think, you know, like that you're, you're fine and you know,
your shit don't stink and you're good and everything is good in your neighborhood, you know,
that it's sort of like it blocks you from being vulnerable and authentic and willing to like
admit when there's been like a mistake or willing to admit when things need to change.
I once said to the nice man, I was like, I'm not changing for anyone.
And he was like, why?
And I was like, oh.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Because I like me and he was like yeah, but you're doing this one thing that annoys me.
You know it annoys me.
You don't have to do it.
And I was like, okay, alright, okay, I guess I can change for somebody.
Yeah.
I feel like sometimes people are like, no, no.
Right.
And it's like you're gonna miss a blessing.
Absolutely.
Missed a blessing, that's a good way to put it.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think this is good advice.
Yeah.
I agree with it.
Oh wow.
This has flown by.
I adore you.
Thank you.
Yeah, this has been, that went real fast.
It really did.
Let's see.
Mars, do you have any questions?
Sometimes Mars has good questions.
I don't know.
Do you have like a dating or relationship story that like we haven't prompted or like, I don't know anything like dating related that you wanted to share?
You wanted to share, but you never had the platform to share it on.
So there, I bring this up because my friend and I were just talking about it the other night.
Uh-huh.
When I was in college, we were talking about, you know, like our, like, our firsts.
And I remember it was my first kiss in college.
Oh.
And I, of course, like, I think that, you know, he's like the one.
You know what I mean?
Fireworks.
It was everything.
In my dorm room, you know, and I'm like, this is love.
And I remember, like, going to class, like, a few weeks.
like a couple weeks later.
And at this point, there had been,
there had been a couple kisses, okay?
He came back for more, okay?
He said, oh, that sweet.
And there was a boy that was in my class.
And he was like, oh, I've seen you with,
what do we call him?
George.
George.
George, class.
I've seen you with George, like, in the dining hall.
Like, are you friends with him?
And, like, I'm still, like, feeling kind of like,
you know, like, I'm still bashful and demure.
And I'm like, yeah, like we're friends.
And he's like, yeah, like, I was like just making out with him the other night.
And I was like, but you're ugly.
I'm dying that that's your first thought.
Wait, but you're ugly.
And like, I'm immediately like, what does that mean about me?
Like, and I was just like, oh, we got to end it here, George.
We got to end it here.
Like, it ended it because you were like, it was over.
You're making out with this ugly person.
Like, clearly our love means nothing to you.
That's so funny.
And Paul is ugly.
It was so funny.
That's so funny.
I've done that.
Well, I haven't ended things, but I have, like, crept through the Instagram and been like, oh.
The last person you were with was disgusting.
Exactly.
So am I a troll?
Like, and I'm next in line?
Yeah.
But then I'm like, what's after me?
Maybe I'm an upgrade.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know. That's so funny.
Wait, you mentioned earlier that you were exploring gender with your drag?
Yes.
Do you want to get more into that or no?
Yeah, we can.
What were you exploring?
I think like, that's fun.
So what did you find out?
What were the results?
And honestly, like, I feel like, so I said like I was using my, my given name and really
trying to figure out like what that meant for me.
And a lot of like my looks were also like a little bit.
but more of like, like, I played more in like gender bending and that sort of thing.
And it even like led up like even like onto the show.
Like I remember the connection that I made with a lot of the girls was about that and what
like non-binary meant and just sort of like playing with fluidity.
And I feel like I've almost sort of like become okay with knowing that I am like somewhere
in on, you know,
In there.
And I sort of like, do you know, like, when you know that something is right for someone else?
Yes.
But like, you almost put a block that you could, that you're almost like, it could, but it could never be for me.
Like, it could never.
And it's almost sort of like that where I'm like, you know, like, I will cheer all of my friends on and I will say, you know what I mean?
Like, yes, like go for it 100% like sprint.
You know what I mean?
But it was like I almost never would give that to myself.
and I would almost like make rules up for myself that just made no sense you know just like
like no lashes during the day and and um it wasn't until like on the show and especially talking
with talking with Jane and Mandy actually helped me a lot I was really close with Mandy at the
beginning before yeah goodbye she's number two no number one she was number two she was number two
Yeah. Just really sort of like coming, coming into like knowing myself, like during filming was all happening in sort of like real time. Because like I said, like I put, you know, like my family in the group chat and told them. And so it was all of a sudden like, I'm in this situation. I don't have a phone. I don't have anybody I love around me. And I am all the sudden a whole person. You know what I mean? My family knows everything about me now. I'm he. He's. He's. He's. He. He's. He.
with people that are very like-minded, that are very welcoming.
And it just felt like all these parts of myself that I had kept separate were now all
the sudden like, bam, okay.
In one body in front of cameras and in a competition.
Yes.
And I'm sort of just like, hang on, hang on, hang on.
Like there are bigger things happening than this show.
You know what I mean?
Like, yes, I'm on the show and I want to do well and I want to succeed.
But like I'm realizing in real time that there are bigger things happening.
Yes.
You know, and so it was a lot to sort of like, I guess, accept and learn about in that moment.
But yeah, I do think I am like somewhere on the, and it feel weird.
I feel like I'm like fighting emotions because I've never really like said it like out loud except like with close friends.
But I do think that I am somewhere probably on like the non-binary spectrum.
Okay.
Yeah.
I love that you discovered that.
Yeah.
Do you think that you put your friends or.
not your friends, your family on that group chat
and then left to do the show.
Did you do that so you didn't have to deal
with the reactions until later
when you've kind of like healed?
A little bit.
I think it was sort of like,
there was a little bit of being like,
if I don't tell them right now,
or like when I got the call,
I would have to deal with getting ready for the show
and deal with packing and then also have it to like
have this thing and like have to like, you know,
and I don't,
and it was just sort of like,
like guarding that and just being like don't have time to try to teach y'all right now when i have
to go do this thing and um so like when i left it was almost like that feeling plus the procrastination
yes so it was like all of that was happening and then being like well i leave like tomorrow so
so here's some information and i'm not going to have a phone and i'm like they're going to try to contact me
it's going to come out.
You know, they're going to see it.
So I was like, I just got to tell them.
I just got to tell them now.
And so, yeah, literally started a giant group text and threw them all in there and was like, well, it's the bins are packed.
So.
I'm going.
I'm going to do it.
Also, if this is too personal, we can cut this out.
Oh, no, I'm fine.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
I don't know.
I'm really proud that you discovered your identity and that you're comfortable saying it.
Thank you.
I think it's really exciting when people get to like, I don't know, allow themselves to, or like give themselves the permission to fully sit in who they are and express themselves.
Yes. And I'm almost like still sort of like, I don't even know what the right word is, but almost like sitting in that is a good way of saying it.
Like I'm like learning, exploring and just sort of I'm trying to just sit in it.
You know what I mean? Like I don't have to have an answer.
That's sort of like what I've always been afraid of,
that I felt like somebody, you know,
was going to like run up to me on the street and be like,
what's the definition? Or what does it mean to you?
And I'm like, I just don't know.
You don't have to know.
I just don't know.
And I feel like that's the most fun about being non-binary.
There is nothing.
There is no binary.
It's like literally the word for it.
It's you don't have to fit into any sort of box
and you can be who you want to be.
And I think that's really exciting.
Like I remember,
I remember like right after filming,
Jane came to visit in L.A.
And we were like just like laying on my couch.
We were like talking for hours, you know?
And it was like two in the morning.
And I was like, can I, I was like, can I tell you something?
And she was like, yeah.
Like we've been talking for hours.
I was like, okay, yeah, I'm just like holding on to this one.
And I was like, I bought a girl tank top.
I was like, and I'm not going to wear it for drag.
And she like looked at me.
She goes, what the fuck is a girl tank?
And I'm like, can you just be happy for me?
I love that.
That's so sweet and so, like, it's one of those things where it's like, maybe it didn't mean anything to Jane, but it meant something to you and that you were sharing it.
Because I felt like, I've always, I, like, and I guess that was something that I've, like, had to learn or like get more comfortable with is that like, that I'm, I'm allowed to just like be whatever I want to be day.
today. Like I told in the same conversation with Jane, I was like, but like, sometimes, like, I want, like, sometimes I, I enjoy looking masculine or like, I was like, I want to go lift weights. I want to like, you know, I want to work out. And she's like, yeah. And you can do that in your girl tank chop if you want. She's like, yeah, there's not a non-binary uniform. You don't have to go dye your hair green if you don't want to. And I'm like, I've got a lot to learn.
I really love that.
I love that.
It's fun.
You're going to have so much fun figuring out what you want to look like and what you want to do.
Yeah, yeah.
So I'm literally, literally like sitting in it is a really good way to, you know, kind of like almost.
It's a form of like acceptance.
Yeah.
Of just being like, I don't know.
I don't know.
I'm like, y'all are wondering, me too.
Me too.
Me too.
Me too, D.
That's the thing my therapist says a lot.
She says, just give yourself time to sit in it, feel the feelings, or she says, give yourself the space and the grace.
I love that.
I love that.
Because I feel like I so badly want to find, you know, like, solutions and answers.
And, like, you know, that would just make things so much easier.
And kind of like what I was hinting at, like, earlier or discussing earlier, like, about sort of like where drag has come now.
And as far as like, you know, fans' opinions and whatnot,
it's sort of like these fake rules or expectations, you know,
are put on to us.
But we almost adapt them as well because it creates some sort of safety for us.
Yes.
It creates like this sort of like bubble where we don't have to be criticized or we don't have.
You know what I mean?
It's sort of like, well, if I get an A.
If you follow the rules, then you can't criticize anything about it.
Yeah.
It's sort of like just because I'm doing drag is enough of a, is enough of a, you know, middle finger to society.
Yes.
But I'm still going to play by all of the drag rules.
Yes.
But I feel like it's sort of like we need to progress past that and be like, no, there actually aren't any.
There are no rules.
And even just, you know, if we now take that into the conversation with gender and non-binary and fluidity, it's sort of like, no, there's nothing.
Let's blow the whole thing up.
You know what I mean?
Let's just sit in it.
Let's all just try to explore a little bit.
I can't wait to hear you say sit in it on a different interview.
And I'm like, I gave her that.
Darlene, you're a ray of sunshine.
I adore you.
I think you're so talented and so wonderful.
And I was so excited that you said yes to doing this.
Absolutely.
Thank you so much for having me.
Do you have anything you want to promote?
Yes.
So I have the top three are doing the European tour.
I think it's five cities in Europe coming up in October.
And then November, December, Murray and Peter, a drag queen Christmas.
So we will be in 39 cities.
Too many.
And a bus.
Too many.
Y'all going to be so tired.
Travel in the country.
So, yeah, come see us on one of those.
Darling, I have one more query.
Let her rip.
Would you date me?
100%.
Yeah!
Let's sit in it.
Let's sit in it.
Let's sit in it.
Darling, thank you.

We're running low.
Please send them in.
And remember, Sonic is a child.
So don't include Sonic in these nasty things.
Okay, hate, because I love Sonic the Hitchel.
I love him so much.
I just recently got a Sonic tattoo.
It is Sonic in the image of the Limp Biscuit significant other album cover.
I don't think I've ever heard this niche interest from anyone.
Nope.
I love Lip Biscuit and I love Sonic.
So why not just...
Combine them.
Okay.
I would start off the day in a car that goes,
rum, room, room, and I love cars,
and gets loud as we take off.
I'm not an expert.
I'll ask a straight guy with a beanie for a recommendation.
First stop is a certain place in Burbank
that has a, has bungee related things.
I'm interviewed with, is it, what is it?
Air, air fit bungee in Burbank.
I hate them.
Okay.
I hit you a paintball gun.
And you light that building up with colorful sprays of Michelle Visage
green. We room away and you are so excited from the small amount of justice earned that you
write my face like the Kentucky Derby to a certain dentist office that we hit up next. I'm also in a
feud with a dentist office. That's glow modern dentistry. Name of it. In Hollywood, they left an
instrument in my mouth. And then I got an infection in said tooth. I have the tooth. Do you want to
see the instrument? Yes. Okay, I'll show it to you after. You carry it with you. I do.
Have I shown it to you?
No.
Okay.
My wisdom teeth are in my nightstand.
Really?
Wait, I'll show you now.
And I'll show everyone on the podcast because I'm not lying.
Also, because of you, I can never use a Delta blanket.
Don't.
Don't.
Don't.
They don't wash them.
Okay.
It's in my Sonic the Hedgehog.
Also, I adore this T-shirt.
Thank you.
This is amazing.
It's from Deep Hop.
Okay.
What?
Do you see this little thing on the back of the tooth?
Was this a wisdom tooth?
Uh, no.
It was the tooth in front of my wisdom teeth.
But do you see the little instrument?
Okay, so it's this, this like little hair looking thing.
Oh my god!
It's a piece of the instrument that broke off in my tooth,
caused an infection in my tooth, and then they had to fully remove the tooth.
So, like, they removed the tooth?
So what happened was glow modern dentistry did a root canal on me.
And a piece of the instrument they used during the root canal broke off in my tooth.
So it was just sticking in my gum.
And I kept saying, my tooth hurts.
And they kept saying, you have no roots.
And I was like, okay.
And then I just didn't go to the dentist for a year.
And it just kept getting worse and worse.
Went to the dentist.
The nice man in my life recommended a dentist.
I love her, Dr. Bernardo.
And she was like, hey, I don't want to alarm you,
but you have a very bad infection in your tooth
and they left a piece of the instrument in your mouth.
And I said, say what?
And then when they extracted it, they were like,
you can see it.
That's my nightmare.
Yeah, no, I see it.
Yeah, it's like insane.
My tooth that I carry with me.
You probably can't see the instrument from the camera.
Did you sue them?
No, I don't know how to.
Oh my God.
That dent, ugh.
But they sent me a happy birthday,
and I,
respondent with you left a piece of an instrument in my mouth don't wish me anything okay let me finish
this uh this really took a detour okay um yum yum yum yum a certain dentist officeness yes glow modern
dentistry finally you pull into a warehouse fast and furious style as your juices drip down my face
i escort you to a claw foot bathtub and wheel out a machine i turn it on oh and soft serve pours all over
your body. I love soft serve and eat you out again with a cold ass tongue. Well, from all the soft
serve, I licked off your body. After you come, I hand you a spoon for the soft serve. And I put Craven on
a projector. I love Craven. That takes up the whole wall. Don't worry. I have a water supply on
standby to wash you off when you are ready, my queen. That's nice. I like that I, people usually
don't bathe me after putting food on me. So this was very thoughtful and nice. All right. Bye-bye.
Bye.
That was a HitGum podcast.
