Will Cain Country - Gavin Newsom Defends His Attacks on Stephen Miller (ft. Dave Rubin & Congressman Andy Barr)

Episode Date: September 29, 2025

Story 1: The term “fascist” has become the go-to insult among politicians and political steamers as of late, but how many of them understand the definition behind it? Will breaks down what the tr...ue definition of fascism is and explains how its misuse can potentially embolden some to commit acts of violence. Story 2: Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY) joins Will to discuss the rise in support for socialism in Democrats across the country, and the ripple effect it has had amongst the Democratic Party’s politics. Plus, Rep. Barr and Will react to a viral clip of Kentucky legend Colonel Sanders’ great-great-great nephew denouncing KFC’s risqué marketing, before proceeding to reveal what he claims are the secret 11 herbs and spices. Story 3: Host of ‘The Rubin Report,’ Dave Rubin helps Will break down the bizarre support from the UK’s National Health Service for first cousin marriage, which they now claim leads to stronger social support systems and economic advantages? Will and Dave examine how such a study could have been published despite overwhelming evidence suggesting that such marriages lead to birth defects, and what a sudden influx of Pakistani migrants has to do with it. Plus, in Final Takes, Will and The Crew share their thoughts on last night’s tie between the Cowboys & the Packers, before discussing Bad Bunny being selected to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.     Subscribe to ‘Will Cain Country’ on YouTube here: Watch Will Cain Country! Follow ‘Will Cain Country’ on X (@willcainshow), Instagram (@willcainshow), TikTok (@willcainshow), and Facebook (@willcainnews) Follow Will on X: @WillCain  Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 One, Governor Gavin Newsome provokes potential violence targeted at White House advisor Stephen Miller. Two, New York City looks ready to embrace socialism. Is this about New York or young leftist? across the country, Democrats, moving in the direction of socialism. We ask, candidate for Senate, Representative Andy Barr of Kentucky. Three, the NHS of UK says there are benefits to marrying your first cousin. Endorsing incest. Why?
Starting point is 00:00:54 The truth and the problem. Coming up on Will Kane Country. It is Wilcane Country on this Monday. Welcome to a new week. Welcome to kissing your sister. A tie. Stayed up late last night for a tie between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. 40, 40.
Starting point is 00:01:21 And that has divided Wilcane Country on whether or not in America, in the great United States of America, we should ever settle for a tie. But we should not, under any circumstances, settle for the behavior of Governor Gavin Newsom. Let's get into that with story number one. Governor Gavin Newsom of California and through his press account, his press office, have taken to mimicking, mirroring, President Donald Trump, all caps, exclamations, statements, outrageousness. But unlike Donald Trump, Governor Gavin Newsom and the ding-dongs in his office, the 29-year-old
Starting point is 00:02:10 single women, have no sense of authenticity or decorum. They don't know the line. It doesn't come naturally. And that's the problem when you're a fake. That's the problem when you're a fraud. Where's the bumper in this game of bumper pool? Where are the bumpers in this game of bumper cars? You don't know if it doesn't come real to you.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Before you know it, you find yourself on social media posting things like this over the weekend from the press office of Governor Gavin Newsom. Stephen Miller is a fascist, exclamation point, all caps. Seemingly recognizing that they had bumped into some invisible line, they spent the weekend explaining why they would suggest that Stephen Miller, the advisor to the White House is a fascist. The most notable response was something to the extent of, hey, ding-dongs, stop doing fascist things if you don't want to be called a fascist. The problem is they seem to not understand, or they actually do understand, are provoking violence, that fascism as a slur has become a rallying cry for those interested in committing violence.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Those on the left have taken to writing fascism on bullet casings before firing it at their ideological opponent. Of course, Charlie Kirk's assassin had written on one of his bullet casings, Hey, Fascist Catch. Charlie Kirk's assassin also wrote on one of his bullet casings, Bella Chow, Bella Chow, a Italian anti-fascist song. And the left's most popular streamer, Hassan Piker, he is essentially the number one leftist podcast and streamer in the ecosphere. I'll understand if you've never heard of Hassan Piker, but I'll promise you if your children or your friends are on the left, they're familiar with Hassan Piker. And he took to his stream in the last couple of days with 40,000 people waiting and opened it like this. Partiziano Tata-D-D-T-da-Cho, Bella-cha,
Starting point is 00:04:29 Bella, chow, chow, chow. Turgi's in a pain to protect the flotilla. Erdog, I'd probably watch a stream yesterday. Yeah, he listens to me, dude. Bella chow, Bella chow, chow, he sings to open up his program. The question is, who is using invocations of fascism to incite violence.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Let's start with what is fascism. Fascism, of course, is a early 20th century form of government in vogue throughout Europe, most notably with the government of Benito Mussolini in Italy and Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany. The Wikipedia definition of fascisms asks for a couple of different things. features to be present. Here are some of those through dictionary and Wikipedia. Centralized dictatorial authority led by a charismatic leader. Forcible suppression of political opposition and criticism.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Intense promotion of nationalism, often combined with racism or xenophobia. Militarism and the glorification of war and violence. The subordination of individual rights and interest to the perceived needs of the nation. a rejection of democracy, pluralism, and liberal values favoring a hierarchical corporatist state. Which of these boxes do you check when it comes to the presidency, the democratically elected constitutional republic government of the United States and the presidency of Donald Trump? An objective observer would say, well, very few of these actually fit the core features of fascism. There's been no rejection of democracy.
Starting point is 00:06:17 liberal values, no corporate estate, no subordination of individual rights in the interest of the perceived needs of the nation. Our individual rights, if nothing, over the last several months have been emboldened, been freed of government oppression, especially on the note of free speech. Militarism and the glorification of war in violence. Donald Trump has been in America a first peacemaker across most of the world. Seven different nations brought, who were in intractable conflicts, into a state of peace, reluctance to get involved in the war between Ukraine and Russia. The last seven months of this presidency have been much less militaristic than the presidency
Starting point is 00:07:06 of the prior four years under Joe Biden. An intense promotion of nationalism, often combined with racism, xenophobia. Yeah, there's a rise in nationalism, but only in the fever dreams of the left and projection, have we been able to see anything connected to racism? Forcible suppression of political opposition and criticism. Give me the example. And don't bring up Jimmy Kimmel. Forcible suppression of political opposition and criticism. Was that not what we saw under the presidency of Joe Biden? Was that not what we saw when people were taken off the internet? when Google complied with the pressures of the Biden administration to take down some hundreds of
Starting point is 00:07:47 YouTube pages, not for any violation of the law, not even for the violation of a policy under YouTube or Google, but just simply at the behest of the United States government. Centralized dictatorial authority led by a charismatic leader. Donald Trump is charismatic. What power has been centralized, other than the powers already granted to the executive and the use of executive orders through the founding documents of this constitutional republic. as granted to him in Article 1 of the United States Constitution. No, the idea of fascism isn't even a fever dream of the left.
Starting point is 00:08:20 It's simply a slur, a slur. That was best put, I believe, by commenter Aaron McIntyre. Arn McIntyre posted that fascism was a discrete political ideology of the 1930s. It no longer exists, but has become a secular stand-in for Satan, something you have a moral blank check to hate and destroy. For the modern liberal fascist, it means someone I'm allowed to kill. Donald Trump's rhetoric has become the target for our heightened political environment. We even had that debate here last week on Wilcane country.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Did this start with Donald Trump? Is he the reason that everybody is so tense, that everybody is so full of hate, that everybody's rhetoric is so inflamed. That argument was made to the struggle session on CNN featuring Scott Jennings by a leftist YouTuber. Watch. Can't you just take responsibility for it?
Starting point is 00:09:23 Oh, on the left. Let's not do the, like, he has to take responsibility because he's a Democrat. I'm a 22-year-old YouTuber. You want me to take more responsibility than the President of the United States? I want you to understand. I'm a 22-year-old.
Starting point is 00:09:34 I want you to understand that we are in the middle of an epidemic of left-wing violence. They're attacking ice. They shot Charlie. It's happening all over the country. Adam's right. It comes from the top down. And I think of the same time. So now we have two people here who are saying it's Donald Trump's fault. Scott, that's shot up an ice facility. Nobody is saying that's fault. You literally said that.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Listen, let me finish. And then you agreed with it. You want to know what I said? I said Donald Trump created this environment over the past decade. You sat here and said, I need to take responsibility. I'm a 22-year-old YouTuber. You hold me to a higher standard than the man. I'm holding you to your standard. Donald Trump is responsible over the last decade of our heightened political environment. Friendly members here of Wilcane Country have pointed out to me in our pre-show meeting today that Gavin Newsom in the left aren't the only ones who have used the language of fascism.
Starting point is 00:10:27 A quick AI search shows Stephen Miller himself over the last three or four years. has called the left fascists. Donald Trump, as well, in speeches dating back over six years, has called the government under Joe Biden fascist. And listening to that young 22-year-old YouTuber on CNN, the argument is in essence. Everyone is guilty. Everyone is doing it. Governor Gavin Newsom is no worse than Stephen Miller. What I would ask you is which one's rhetoric is literally leading to violence? Whether or not Stephen Miller or Donald Trump have ever invoked fascism, is there an example of violence committed in their name using their rhetoric against an ideological opponent?
Starting point is 00:11:24 Give me the example of someone killing or attempting to kill. an ideological opponent while screaming any of the rhetoric uttered by Donald Trump or Stephen Miller. I'll open the aperture up even broader than fascism. Give me any of the rhetoric ever uttered by Donald Trump. What violence was perpetuated on an NFL player because he said fire those SOBs? And whether or not you think that's a tit for tat similar level of rhetoric, one thing you can't say is that his or Stephen Miller's rhetoric has inspired. violence. Drop into the comments section.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Lefty members of the militia, give me the example of political violence spurned on, inspired by, quoted and quoting the rhetoric of Donald Trump. Because one thing you can't deny is that that rhetoric is being echoed, is being given indirectly as its motivation through writings on bullet casings for not just obvious but recent acts of violence Charlie Kirk was murdered by a shooter who wrote hey fascist catch on his bullet casings who wrote Bella Chow and less than two weeks later the governor of California Post in all caps, that Stephen Miller is a fascist. This is beyond an irresponsible or dangerous situation.
Starting point is 00:13:05 This is to the point now where you are curring it. You are fostering it. You are encouraging it. And when it happens, and based on the current climate of American life, mass acts of violence seem to be an every three-day occurrence. today, we're faced with the fact that just yesterday, in Michigan, a man drove his truck into a Mormon church, waited for people to come outside, mowed them down, placed IEDs around the church.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Of course, there's a political battle to find out. Who was this man? How did he vote? Who was he inspired by? Who was he a fan of? We don't know. But in an environment where that's occurring more and more, why would you take to social media and in all caps, echo the words of a killer.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Gavin Newsom, why would you echo the words of an assassin? At this point, even if there is tit for tat in the past, if Stephen Miller or Donald Trump has used the word fascist and it has become an absolute verbal tick on the left to say fascist, at this point, why would you echo the words of a killer? It's hard to come to any other conclusion, but that that you are in league, like Hassan Piker, singing Bella Chow, that you are in league with the motivations of that killer.
Starting point is 00:14:32 And you don't get to have clean hands when there is another killer. There is no bottom, certainly, when it comes to Gavin Newsom. Let's get into this. Plus, Zora Mamdani now has one less opponent in the race for New York City Mayor, Eric Adams has dropped out, but he still dominates, and it says something about New York City. It says something about those on the left. But is it simply saying something about those on the left in New York City, or is it saying something about the fans of Hassan Piker?
Starting point is 00:15:10 The young leftist across the country, Democrats, are they ready to go full socialism? Well, Representative Andy Barr is running for Senate in Kentucky, and he'll have to answer that question in his state. Coming up on Wilcane Country. Hey, you know what I love? A real American success story. Brooklyn betting started with a guy named Joe, or John, out in Arizona. No fancy degree for John, just grit, hustle, and a dream.
Starting point is 00:15:43 And today, they handcraft some of the best mattresses you can find right here in the USA. Now, I'll tell you what my experience has been. Getting a Brooklyn bedding mattress couldn't have been easier. It showed up at my door. I unboxed it, and then instantly I knew this is different. I picked the firmness level that I wanted, and let me tell you, I've been sleeping better than ever. No more saggy dips, no more restless nights, just real comfort and support. We'll make some stand out.

They've got a mattress for every body, every sleeve style, and even those hard-to-find sizes. If you sleep hot, their glaciotex covers and copperflex, foam, help keep you cool at night. Starting point is 00:18:02 your favorite podcasts. The benefits of first cousin marriage endorsing incest in the UK. That's a headline from the NHS, but we've got the stats. We've got the conversation that has gotten people absolutely banned off of multiple platforms in the past. But that's coming up on Wilcane Country, which you get by bookmarking and following us on the Wilcane Country YouTube channel and Spotify and Apple. This both sides ism on rhetoric or that it all started with Donald Trump. I think was laid out by Nira Tandon. She is a, she's a leftist activist. I can't remember what organization she's been affiliated with or what publication I've run across her on several occasions.
Starting point is 00:18:53 But she said, the singular problem in America is the decline of character in Republican political leaders. In prior eras, we had Republican presidents who corrupted the DOJ to attack their political enemies. But back then, we had Republican leaders who stopped it because they cared about their country. What's interesting about that, a man named Chris Oldman posted, is reflecting something that I remember. This all started way before Donald Trump. I remember when Bush, George W. Bush, was Hitler. I remember Keith Oberman. I remember MSNBC.
Starting point is 00:19:25 I remember the rhetoric at large in the early 2000s that George W. Bush was Hitler. And Oldman, Chris Oldman on X, points out, Reagan is a monster. McCain is a warmonger. Rodney tortured dogs and killed his employees. Paul Ryan wants to throw grandma off a cliff. Every Republican is a racist, hateful, sexist, bigot. where have all the good Republicans gone?
Starting point is 00:19:47 I remember that rhetoric. I remember Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney being the Antichrist in 2012. And now you want to act like all this started with Donald Trump. Let's bring in Congressman Andy Barr of Kentucky. He is running for Senate in that state for the seat left vacant by Senator Mitch McConnell. We're glad to have Andy Barr here on Will Cain Country. How you doing, Congressman?
Starting point is 00:20:11 Hey, Will. How you doing? Good to see it. I'm good. I'm good. I'm sure you remember that. You've been in Congress for a good, what, 15 years? I mean, yeah, things are tense right now. Things are heated. Rhetoric is hot. But I don't know. It's certainly more hot today than it was in the past, but it's not like we were running these pristine political environments back in 2005, 2008, 2012. I remember all these accusations of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and George W. Bull, Bush. Absolutely. And it's absurd, of course. And look, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination, everyone needs to be cognizant of, you know, their rhetoric. But the bottom line is
Starting point is 00:20:59 political violence is never the answer in any direction. And what Charlie Kirk stood for was the marketplace of ideas, the idea that we should be able to freely speak our mind without a retaliation in the form of violence. My goodness, whatever happened. This is the whole idea of America. Well, you know this. I mean, you make your living on the First Amendment. I make my living on the First Amendment. And that's what makes this country great. The attack on Charlie Kirk was not just an attack on a conservative messenger or the conservative cause. It was an attack on our way of life, an attack on our Constitution, attack on the First Amendment. Totally true. I agree with everything. You did say something that
Starting point is 00:21:43 I want to kind of dig deeper on. Political violence is never the answer. That's something we're hearing quite often. And I'm not debating you, nor am I even pushing back on you. It is a truism, and one that I think almost everyone disagrees with. I have to say almost because polls reflect an increasing number of people on the left cannot agree to that proposition. But every thinking person, every real person, understands that political violence is not the answer. But the problem now is, The next step of that is we have people saying things that seems pretty objectively clearly moving others or inspiring others to political violence. It's easy to do the math. If I tell you you're an existential threat to my place on this earth, you're going to respond with some level of violence.
Starting point is 00:22:28 At some point, if I convince you that Ed, my producer over here, is a real threat to your existence at some point you're like, well, shoot, I've got to do something about Ed. And the issue is, even if, for example, you and I use the same language, say, Congressman, you and I are in a fight, and I call you a jerk, and you call me a jerk. Oh, my gosh, it's getting tense in here. The rhetoric's getting bad. But every time you call me a jerk, one of your friends attacks me, but I call you a jerk and nobody does anything, it probably means you need to cool it. Maybe, maybe we both need to cool it, but it definitely means you need to cool it because your friends keep coming after me. physically. And that's the thing I come back to on the left. Yeah, political violence is bad. Everybody agrees. But you know what? Your language, Governor Gavin Newsom has to stop. Don't come back to me with the fact that Stephen Miller has called somebody a fascist in the past.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Nobody's killing people in the name of Stephen Miller. But your people are being inspired to violence. So maybe you need to cool it, Governor Gavin Newsom. Well, there's definite incitement. The hyperbolic and extreme language from the far left is clearly inspiring. Young people go down these rabbit holes on the web and in these games, and they're being corrupted in their minds about what is actually the proper response to a disagreement about policy. So there's no doubt about it that the language on the left has been hyperbolic. It's been extreme. It's been unhinged.
Starting point is 00:24:03 And it really does need to stop. You're running for Senate in the great state of Kentucky. We wake up today to the news out of New York that Eric Adams has dropped out of the race for mayor. It's bumped up Andrew Cuomo's chances a little bit against Zoramam Dhani. But what really is the revelation for that city is that so many people seem prepared or even enthusiastic about the prospect of socialism. He's an open democratic socialist in New York. And Congressman, I was with some people last night. I was with one of your former colleagues, actually.
Starting point is 00:24:43 And the conversation is, does that tell us about New York? Or does that tell us about young people on the left? Or does that tell us about the Democrat Party? And that's a question for you as well in Kentucky. Like, what are you now running against? And I may not mean that literally right now in Kentucky as far as an opponent, but the sentiment out there of those that would vote against you or your primary opponents or anybody that's Republican, are you seeing a rise of socialism in Lexington? Are you seeing it in
Starting point is 00:25:15 Kentucky? Yeah, unfortunately, yes. The answer is yes. And clearly the energy and enthusiasm in the Democratic Party is with the extreme far left, the socialists. And this is actually not hyperbolic. This is just an observation. It's a fact. Look at the, look at AOC and her political clout. Look at Mamdami in his political clout. Eric Adams' exit from the New York race may not make a difference for exactly the reason that you're pointing out is that where the energy is in the Democratic Party is in the socialist wing. It's not in the moderate wing. It's not in the old Blue Dog Democrat wing. Heck, we don't see Blue Dog Democrats. Kentucky Democrats largely voted for President Donald Trump. When I tell my Democrat colleagues from the coasts about that in Congress,
Starting point is 00:26:02 They almost can't believe it, but the Democrats in Kentucky are largely moving in our direction because they see the extremism on the far left in what's happening in New York City. Think about it, New York City, the capitalist capital of the world could be governed by an outright socialist or communist mayor. The reason why we are hurtling toward a government shutdown, where almost every Republican voted to keep the government open with a clean CR. where almost every Democrat is voting to shut down the government so that they can provide taxpayer-funded health care for illegal aliens. The reason for that is because the socialists are in charge of the Democratic Party.
Starting point is 00:26:46 I mean, Chuck Schumer has a political problem. It's his problem that he's willing to prioritize above what's good for the country, which is to keep the government open and operating. But he's afraid of his far left flank. and AOC might beat him in a primary no matter what he does, even if he shuts down the government. But clearly that is who is in charge. AOC, Mom Dami, the far extreme communist left in this country. We need some more Kentucky Democrats back in charge of the Democratic Party.

Starting point is 00:27:52 Okay, let's talk about the base or the voters and then we'll come back to the leadership. Why do you think this is? I mean, you tell me you're seeing this in Kentucky as well. So again, I was having these conversations last night. I mean, there are a lot of young people that are not happy with their seeming economic prospects right now in America. Whether or not that's owning a home or their future prospects for employment to the extent that they want employment. I'm talking about those that are gravitating towards socialism. There is whether or not it's right or wrong, whether or not it's accurate or inaccurate,
Starting point is 00:28:25 that is an actual real feeling among young people in this country. And it seems to be something that's pushing people in some cases further left. But, you know, there's also young people who seem to be gravitating towards the cause of the Palestinians. And I'm curious why you think there's this rise. There's also, by the way, people that I think are totally ignorant about Western civilization, the founding of the American experiment, where it stands. not just historically, but currently on the world stage. So that ignorance combined with the frustration they might have personally seems to be pushing them for the left.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Why do you think? If you go in, again, Frankfurt, Lexington, pick your big city in Kentucky and you interact with these young people who may not be voting for you. The question is why? Well, I think it's a failure of our public education system, our education system, which is taught a lot of young people to hate our country, our tradition, our foundings. like you said, Western civilization, they've been brainwashed in some ways to reject free enterprise, limited government, our constitution. They've been told things that, frankly, are not true. The economic, it's interesting, the point that you made about economic frustration. You know, I think the left is unhinged. I think they are very, very
Starting point is 00:29:49 upset right now because success creates capitalists, success, prosperity, creates upward mobility. And I think what is really upsetting to the far left is that when we are advancing an agenda that delivers prosperity to people and starts getting people out of their economic troubles, when we start reshoring, onshoreing manufacturing jobs and we give people upward mobility and there's no tax on tips and there's no tax on overtime and we're rewarding work once again and we're no longer paying people to not work that is a direct frontal assault on the statist point of view and I think that's why the rhetoric has ratcheted up and the way we convert young people who have been brainwashed about the virtues of socialism or they think are the virtues of socialism when we start
Starting point is 00:30:45 actually allowing workers to save a little bit of extra and start their own business, we're creating a whole new generation of capitalists. The reason why Charlie Kirk was such a threat was that he went into these universities that were teaching these students all of the wrong lessons, and he was correcting the record. And that coupled with a successful economic agenda that Republicans and President Trump are delivering, I think that is what has created this threat to the far left. And I actually think that there's a whole new generation of young people inspired by, you know, the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk and the success that we're having in Congress,
Starting point is 00:31:28 that we're going to actually have a new generation of conservatives and liberty-loving young people. And I have more hope for that than young people who are gravitating toward communism. You know, I do too. And if I were putting this on a timeframe, Congressman, I would say, That makes me optimistic over the next several years. But it's almost like that's the donut hole. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:53 I'm hopeful about how long that sustains off into the distant future, literally without the figure of Charlie Kirk. How long that inspiration sustains. I hope it does. I hope there's others that take up the mantle. I hope it's an each individual choice of people out there, a fire that remains lit in them as individuals. But then there's the other side of the donut hole,
Starting point is 00:32:13 and that's the short term. very, very short term. Your election, midterms, you know, what happens here very soon. And, you know, I am hearing a lot of concern. Now, I find it, I don't, honestly, I don't know where I sit right now on sort of the optimism of the midterms. I think that the Democratic brand has never been worse. The response to the murder of Charlie Kirk has been awful. I think it's brand defining. I think that brand, like I think there's a legitimate conversation about the collapse of an American political party in Democrats. Like, I don't know. Do political parties die? Do they just reform in a different image? But they're approaching that level. On the other hand, there are short-term economic concerns as well that motivate people to vote, right?
Starting point is 00:33:02 And a government shutdown in a couple of days, it's interesting. How does that play? How does that affect things in the midterms? Well, I'll tell you what, I really agree with Kimberly Strassel and her article in the Wall Street. journal over the weekend where she said, you know, Democrats love government and they're and they're shutting it down. They're actually, they're actually playing right into our hands in a lot of ways. Look, Republicans voted for a clean short-term CR. We voted, we did exactly what Democrats voted for back in the spring, the same exact bill. But Democrats are so apoplectic and they're
Starting point is 00:33:39 so unhinged about what's going on in the country right now. They're willing to shut down the government in order to protect illegal aliens receiving taxpayer-funded health care. They want to reverse the waste, the reforms that we made to stop waste, fraud, and abuse and Medicaid. They would rather see illegals, able-bodied people, fraudsters, people are ineligible for Medicaid to continue to siphon off tax dollars from hardworking Americans than to keep the government open and pay our troops. it's it's the democrats have a choice they can choose common sense or they can choose the socialist
Starting point is 00:34:20 wing and they have a political problem because in these primaries the momdamis and the aOCs they threaten the establishment democrats and they're pulling the democrats to the left so far that they're willing to shut down the government over it so i i i do agree what's your understanding go ahead no i was just going to say i agree with you it's it's They are being pulled in a very radical direction. And politically, I think it's a loser for the Democrats. Republicans are ready to continue to bring another CR every day to open up the government. We'll see how long Democrats continue to vote to keep the government shut down.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Well, we're such a branded two-party system that when I say the Democrat Party dies, I'm not sure it goes the way of the wigs. I often talk about this. I remember a Morning Joe's segment in 2012 after the loss of Mitt Romney for presidency that Republican Party was going to be a forever minority party of southern white men. Of course, that was a horrible prediction. But what they didn't see coming was Donald Trump. And I wonder, I do wonder, if what we don't see coming here when it comes to the death of the Democrat Party
Starting point is 00:35:41 is Zoroamam Dani. And I'm not talking about him in particular because I don't think that guy has national political potential, but that's the new Democrat Party. Like it is literally going to be AOC, Zora Mamdani. Well, I think, well, to your point,
Starting point is 00:35:57 I think, again, when I talk to my Democrat colleagues in Congress about Democrats in Kentucky, when I talk about Donald Trump winning Democrat votes in Kentucky, They don't understand it. They don't understand a whole generation of laid off coal miners in eastern Kentucky who were driven out of the Democratic Party by Barack Obama.
Starting point is 00:36:22 They don't understand farmers who are, yes, they are having trouble because China is no longer buying soybeans. But you know what? They voted for Donald Trump because they know that the trading system, the international global trading system has been unfair and that they want more export markets. There are Democrat, registered Democrat waitresses who are so grateful for President Trump because now they no longer have to pay taxes on tips. There are Democrat union member Democrats in auto factories
Starting point is 00:36:56 who don't understand this obsession with electric vehicles which threatens the combustion engine in the factories of Kentucky. Democrats are moved. Common sense Democrats are moving towards Donald Trump and Republicans because they see a lack of common sense from people like AOC, Bernie Sanders, Mom Domi, Elizabeth Warren. They don't understand them anymore. The Democratic Party is unrecognizable to Democrats who people who grew up in the Democratic Party all over this country. And that benefits the Republican Party. but it's not about republic it's not about who wins a republican party or the democratic party it's
Starting point is 00:37:41 about saving our country it's about saving yeah our system from the corruption of these of these socialists who want to remake our country into something we do not recognize okay last thing here with congress and andy bar running for senate in the state of kentucky is that you have a controversy going on in your state i i don't know how well aware you are of this but i think that you should be. And I think that it's in your stay. At this point, the corporate headquarters could be Delaware or somewhere else, but it's certainly branded KFC. They actually dropped Kentucky fried chicken. Now, they're just KFC. It's not an acronym anymore. I think it's just the brand. But the great, great, great, great nephew of Colonel Sanders is, uh, he's on the warpath. Here,
Starting point is 00:38:27 watch. They blocked me for upholding his true history to let people know who he actually was. And they blocked me for calling out their advertising team as weird. respectful and disgusting. Over the last decade, they have sexualized my uncle for marketing purposes. They have encouraged fans to sexualize him as well. I cannot and will not support a company that does that. My response to Kentucky Fried Chicken blocking me is, do you want to know how to make their chicken? Truly, generally, their chicken. This recipe I put together through facts. There is a lot of ingredients on here that could be proven through public information, and I gathered all that together and broke it down for you in several videos.
Starting point is 00:39:06 on my YouTube channel. So let Kentucky Fried Chicken deny this. If they do, I'll say, prove it. I have faction receipts back up my recipe. Dang, he's published the recipe. He does say, by the way, I watched the whole video that it's, you can mess with the measurements, but those are the 11 herbs and spices. You can mess with the measurements. But he's mad about the way they're marketing his great, great, great, great, great, great uncle, something like that. I don't know I said great enough times. Colonel Sanders. How are you going to solve this? This is a problem in Kentucky. Well, I don't know about this great, great, great nephew or whoever he is, but I love the colonel, and I love Kentucky Fried Chicken, and whether it's KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken,
Starting point is 00:39:49 it is a symbol of Kentucky. We are known for bourbon, basketball, horses, and Kentucky fried chicken. And in fact, of all of those things, we're probably known for the Colonel more than any of those things when you get outside of the United States. Occasionally, when When I travel outside the United States, they might say something about the Kentucky Derby, but it's mostly Colonel Sanders. Everyone across the globe knows Colonel Sanders. And so I'm a big fan. I like this. Bourbon, basketball, horses, and fried chicken.
Starting point is 00:40:27 That's Kentucky. And you ranked it probably Colonel Sanders number one. I love this. I want every state to come up with their four things they're most known for. And I would say that number two would be the Kentucky Derby. It would have to be. And then I'm such a sports fan that I'm tempted to put the Kentucky Wildcats higher, but probably on the whole stage of things,
Starting point is 00:40:51 Bourbon comes in at number three. That would be my guess with Kentucky basketball at number four. There you go. The winningest program in the history of college basketball, the Roman Empire of College Basketball, do have the Louisville Cardinals, and that's a great rivalry. That's a great college basketball rivalry. But I'll tell you what, if you go to China or to Israel or to Africa or to Europe, they don't know about Kentucky or Louisville basketball. They do know Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Starting point is 00:41:22 But the sad thing about the Roman Empire of college basketball is, Congressman, the Roman Empire fell. And I'm not saying, you know, that it's all in the past for the wildcat. But we're still the winningest program in the history of basketball. We're still the winningest program in the history of basketball. And I'll give you that. I did see an Instagram post that. It said it was a bracket. It wasn't a basketball bracket.
Starting point is 00:41:46 It was an empire bracket. And it had the top 16 empires of all time. And it was asking you who won. And I think most people in the comments said it came down to the British versus the Roman Empire. So it's a pretty good company to say you're the Roman Empire of basketball. All right. We wish you luck, Congressman. Thanks for spending time with this state today here on Will Cain Country. Hey, thanks, Will. You did you do a great job. I appreciate your voice.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Thank you so much. Thank you. There has been a conversation that has gotten Joe Rogan booted off of Spotify. It has gotten Michael Malice had episodes taken down. Episodes removed. Okay? That conversation we're going to have next because the NHS and UK just published a study that said there are benefits to first cousin marriage. next on Will Cain Country. Hey, I'm Trey Gowdy, host of the TradeGaddy podcast. I hope you will join me every Tuesday and Thursday as we navigate life together and hopefully find ourselves a little bit better on the other side.
Starting point is 00:42:44 Listen and follow now at Fox Newspodcast.com. Bourbon basketball, horse racing, and Kentucky Fried Chicken, the Mount Rushmore, the top four brands for the state of Kentucky. I like that. I want to do that for every state. What are the top for branded images for every state? It is Will Cain Country. It's Spotify, Apple. Head over to Will Cain Country on YouTube. That's where we want you to subscribe. And you can start being a part of this conversation. Help me figure it out. Become a member of the Willisha. Really quickly, tinfoil pack, two a day's Dan. So Texas.
Starting point is 00:43:22 All right, you're going to go oil. You're going to go Cowboys. You're going to go football in general. That's not the Dallas Cowboys. That's just Cowboys as profession. You're going to go football Friday Night Lights Cowboying. And I don't I did that one. That's three.
Starting point is 00:43:44 I don't know. Connecticut. Dan. Pizza. Yacht clubs. Hey. White people. Tennis golf. Sweeters around your shoulders.
Starting point is 00:44:00 This is good, though. Sweeters are. around your shoulders, you know, polos, things like that, white sneakers. Pinfoil pat, Florida, alligator, one of them has got to be an alligator, um, oranges, meth, um, oranges. The president, you know. Jesus. The president, you really went after Florida, real hard. You're detecting the president.
Starting point is 00:44:31 He actually decided to make a home here in our state. And here you are talking about how it's meth-rittled. I love Florida. I love Florida. Love Florida. I mean, come on. I would say football. Is Florida?
Starting point is 00:44:46 I'm sorry. And you're good at it, but that's not one of your images. Oh, yeah. You know. Swamp is good. I'm just trying to like, the point of the meth is you got to grab Florida man. And I know Florida man isn't just a drug out. Florida man is always, he's always the man in some improbable situation that only happens in Florida, right?
Starting point is 00:45:11 Who's done something. He's in jorts. He's got a quasi-mullet. You know, that's Florida man. He made a squirrel culture. Florida man. Yeah. He made a squirrel town while I'm bath salts and he's naked.
Starting point is 00:45:26 I want to do this for everything. I would say bath salts. Bath salts. Okay. instead of meth, bath salts for the state of Florida. Hey, speaking of Florida, man, let's enter into the conversation now, a Florida man. He is Dave Rubin. He's the host of the Rubin Report.
Starting point is 00:45:41 He's also the creator of Locals.com. And he's on tour starting in October in Australia. Wow, Florida man in Australia. That's an interesting combo. I would say internationally, the Australian is the Florida man of the global stage. Gators, kangaroos, it's just big animals that will either eat you or punch you. If I could just comment for a moment, Will, on the meth situation down here in Florida. I'm in a room here with, I've got five or six other Florida guys in here.
Starting point is 00:46:15 And although two of them are on meth right now, they actually brought it from California. So that's more of a Cali thing than a Florida thing, okay? Just to be totally clear with you. Okay. And what's the... No, Gators, like... Gators, guns, the American flag. That's what, and, you know, we're sweating constant.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Is there a lot of bath salts in studio? How's the bath salt situation in studio there in Florida? No, no, no. We're all on a health kick around. We're living the Maha lifestyle. We eat right around here. We're working out. We're keeping everybody, you know, we want everybody healthy to save the country.
Starting point is 00:46:47 That's because we're ground zero of freedom in Florida. Yeah. On that note, probably in your top four in Florida is probably HGH. That's got to be up there, right? Like, vanity is a big deal there on the beaches of South Beach. Well, everybody, you know, South Beach, the big thing is the, they have the fake ass. That's big here. A lot of the Cuban women have the big.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Oh, the Brazilian butt lift. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. All right. Again, the host of the Ruben report. Dave Rubin joins us here on Will King Country. Okay, I do want to shift to what I think is a serious subject.
Starting point is 00:47:22 Yeah, I can do it. I'm going to segue into that into incest. Watch, from bath salts and HG to incest. seamlessly here on Wilcane country. Here's the story, Dave, as I'm sure it's hit your radar. The reason we're talking about it is that there is an article here in The Telegraph reporting on an NHS National Health System report in the UK. The NHS says first cousin marriage is linked to stronger extended family support system
Starting point is 00:47:52 and economic advantages, seemingly singing the praises of... cousin marriage of first cousin marriage um this is deep there's a lot dave under here on what's actually going on in the UK including if we're being direct and up front there is a rising tide of not just first cousin marriage in the UK but the offshoot problems of that birth defects stillborn all the related health problems in the UK, and to put a fine point on it, it is, if not exclusively, overwhelmingly happening with a Pakistani Muslim population in the UK. And it seems to everyone that what's happening is the UK is reverse engineering and that into being okay and culturally acceptable.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Yeah, there's a lot there. Because you know I'm a professional, I wrote down one specific line that I wanted to get out to you before we begin, which is don't marry your cousin, moron. And I think that that really illustrates the broader point here, because we all know this. Will, you and I are about the same age. Like, that would be a running joke of the 80s, is like, don't marry your cousin. What happened to, oh, that guy, that's the guy at school who married his cousin. You know, his parents are married, and like, it's just so extraordinary, but you're right. The part that is making people feel weird about this is the reverse engineering part. Because, look, England, we already know, has had a major
Starting point is 00:49:25 problem with these Pakistani rape gangs. And they have raped quite literally thousands of young, usually female, but sometimes male children in the UK. And then it was hidden by the UK authorities. Okay, so that's one version of the problem. Now the other version is these very same people, the same community of people now are into marrying their cousins. And when you marry your first cousin for genetic reasons, you're going to have all sort of genetic abnormalities. Now, you might say, okay, well, let them do that, right? They want to marry their cousins. Let that niche community do that,
Starting point is 00:49:59 except for what you just brought up there, which is the reverse engineering part, where the government is suddenly saying, well, it's not that bad and might actually be okay. There is a huge problem with this in the UK. I would also say that when I was in the UK, I was at, I spoke at Oxford, I did an Oxford debate on free speech,
Starting point is 00:50:19 which we won, which was a miracle, because Oxford is no bastion of free speech anymore. But I sat next to a young Pakistani girl at dinner. They do a big dinner before you take part in one of those Oxford debates. And she was in full traditional Muslim garb and everything. She was probably about 20 years old. She was a student there and she told me,
Starting point is 00:50:38 she obviously didn't know much about my political leanings, but she told me that her parents, her first generation, Pakistani immigrants into England, and that she has five siblings, and that they only vote on free Palestine. So now think about the strange set of self-induced induced problems that the U.K. has. You bring in a group of people who then quite literally molest your children. You bring in a group of people who are inbreeding. You bring in a group of
Starting point is 00:51:04 people who then, in this case, she was telling me that her whole family, the number one issue they vote on as new immigrants to the U.K. is to free Palestine, a place that never existed 5,000 miles away. Like, there is a massive, massive set of problems here, and the problem, as you know will there are just not a good enough good british men who are not drunk at the pub at 12 now to do anything about this man that's a bad that is a what a way to put that that isn't drunk at the pub at noon don't give a damn enough to save your own country to your own point look i grew up in a small town in texas dangerously close to the oklahoma border if you think i've been hard on florida wait till i get to oklahoma but we used to joke about people um
Starting point is 00:51:51 They're marrying their cousin, but, you know, I actually think Arkansas was the target of most of that, like, you know, joking about cousin marriage. The point on that is that, yeah, it happens in other places. Hell, the royals of Europe did it, the Habsburgs. They inbred so much that they physically deformed their faces. To this day, we talk about the Habsburg jaw, you know, you can look it up online. What's the Habsburg look? But the point is, today, not in the 1500s, today you have. have a problem in the UK. And Josh Fermi on X posted, a 2002 study revealed that while Pakistani
Starting point is 00:52:28 babies make up 4% of UK births, they account for 30% of birth defects. Okay, let's just hammer that in. Four percent of total births, 30% of total birth defects. In 2013, a larger study found that 37% of babies with birth defects were from Pakistani first cousin marriages, that is 37 times the national average. That's not good. That's bad. And what does it say about science, the NHS? This is the debate we have here at home as well. We all want to believe that you can trust science, doctors, right? Well, we've learned something over the last five years about the politicization of science and medicine. What does it say about them that they're going to now go back and go, okay, but this is actually okay. This is good. Right. Well, what it basically says is that the
Starting point is 00:53:19 institutions are generally not to be trusted or at the very least, you know, have a skeptical eye with them. One of the beautiful things that we have been in this country right now is that since Bobby Kennedy has taken over HHS, you know, they're looking at things a little bit differently. They're issuing guidelines instead of directives. They're talking about the vaccine schedules and all of these things. But I would say to the specific point about this particular community coming to the UK and doing these things, whether it's the rape gangs or the or the, or the literal inbreeding. I think this says way more about the native population
Starting point is 00:53:55 of the UK than it says about the Pakistani immigrants. They're doing what they did in the past. That just is what it is. Let's put that aside for a second. And in their home country. Right, that's what I mean. That's what they were doing there, and then they came to a new country.
Starting point is 00:54:11 You know, we like to think it was to make a better life for themselves, but seemingly too many of these immigrants come in and try to turn the host country into the country that they left. But I think this says way more about the native British population. The guy that is drunk at 12 o'clock in the pub, and the reason I use that example is, I go to the UK probably once a year for the last 10 years.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Every time I go, it is significantly worse. I don't know, Will, the last time you were in London, but that ain't London. It's not the London that you remember. Downton Abbey is long gone and it's been taken over basically by rape gangs. Like something is very wrong there, and the good people
Starting point is 00:54:49 people have not stepped up. There are a couple decent signs. You know, there was the huge Tommy Robinson rally for the UK about a week and a half ago. So there are some good signs. But ultimately, if you just play this out, like you just game theory, this thing, okay, so where are you guys at in 10 years? Where are you at in 20 years? Where are you at in 30 years? And the answer is something that most people don't really want to confront. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I haven't been to London in a while. I did a semester of law school in London in, and the year was 2000, I believe. And- Oh, man, it's very different, I can promise you.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Yeah, but even then, Dave, I was a minority in the neighborhood that I lived. It was the whole neighborhood was primarily Muslim. It was Marble Art Station area, Edgeware Road. You know, I got called a white devil as I walked down the street. Everybody's smoking hookah pipes, up and down, everywhere they go. Look, whatever, that's fine. Nothing against that culture, but just not historically the UK culture. The point is the UK culture.
Starting point is 00:55:49 is changing. And they are very, to your point, it's not just the dude in the pub. They're just, I don't know if they're soft or they're welcoming their own demise. Like, I did this. I was joking with Congressman Barr a moment ago about the best empires of all time, because I saw this Instagram post. I thought it was kind of cool. It was a bracket of the biggest, the best empires of all time. And the number one seed was Britain. The number two seed was Rome, by the way. They were headed for a showdown. America was in there, by the way. And then the comment section was all, it seems like foreigners saying, get over yourself, America, you're not an empire, which to which most of us would go, we don't want to be an empire. So relax, buddy.
Starting point is 00:56:27 But the British Empire, the point is it might be the greatest on the history of the face, as far as empires go, not governmental experiments, but empires, influence. And they are imploding from within. They're cannibalizing. They're committing suicide. And it's more than just a dude in the pub. I wanted to play this for you, Dave, because you brought it up a moment ago. This dude just got sentenced to two years in jail for a Facebook comment. And it's fascinating. You get to hear his sentencing. Here's a little bit. Come over here with no work visa, no trade to their name, and sit down and doss. And then there's more people being put out homeless each year. They get top band priority on housing. You went on to say that you did not want your money going to immigration.
Starting point is 00:57:16 who, quote, rape our kids and get priority, end quote. Although you said that you have no intention of carrying out. He says you have no intention of carrying out violence, but you are going to inspire others to do so based off of that quotation of comments, Dave. Like, that's not just innocuous. It's accurate. And for that, two years in jail. Two years.
Starting point is 00:57:44 Yeah. I mean, this is the biggest assault on Western values that we've seen in our lifetime, period, period. This is not an isolated incident, by the way. There are dozens, if not hundreds of these instances. Also, as I'm sure you know, Kier-Starmer is now really pushing for the digital ID. And once they have that, well, then congratulations.
Starting point is 00:58:05 You tweet, hey, I'm not really into all of these, I don't know, rapists moving into my neighborhood. And then next thing you know, you go to the Starbucks or you go to buy some tea. we'll do the British version of it, and your credit card doesn't work because that's connected to your digital ID. So there is something dystopian
Starting point is 00:58:22 and really, really authoritarian that is coming. It's coming throughout Western Europe. And again, what does this all lead to? At the end, what does it lead to? I think what it leads to is that the palace will be occupied by the people that are inbred. That is because they will keep breeding
Starting point is 00:58:38 and the average Brit won't. I mean, if you get a part of this. And then imagine what you can't say. you can't get your Starbucks or your tea because you said what under their authority? Well, exactly, and that's why, you know, look, we're in an interesting spot in America right now. Look, first off, we have the best institutional protections
Starting point is 00:58:56 of freedom of speech because they're enshrined in our bill of rights. So we have a lot of protections that most of the world is deeply jealous of, even if sometimes they don't realize it, that's one thing that's great. But, you know, we do have this other part that, you know, I've been watching your show on Fox, and you've been talking about this a lot also,
Starting point is 00:59:12 that the left has been inciting. They are inciting. At some point, if you call everybody a Nazi, someone's going to take that into their own hands. Now, for those of us that want to defend free speech, do you want to jail someone for calling someone else a Nazi? Of course not. But you want to point out using your free speech
Starting point is 00:59:29 that what they are doing with their free speech actually is starting to become dangerous. This is the thing that we're constantly trying to sort of whittle here in America. We want to protect free speech. I want people to be able to say whatever the hell, believe me, Will, just like you. I go on Twitter, people say mean things about me,
Starting point is 00:59:46 believe it or not. I don't want to jail them, and I certainly don't want the government to come after them, but at some point, this incitement thing is starting to unearth something else, right? It really is. We wanna defend free speech, and then also you need to be able to call out the people
Starting point is 01:00:01 that are relentlessly calling everyone Nazis, because if you take a generation of kids that think that climate change is about to end their life, and the country is systemically racist and the Nazis or fascists are here and their brains are broken through endless scrolling, they might just do something crazy, which is why our friend Charlie Kirk is no longer with us. You know, Dave, I feel like we're getting close. I feel like we're getting close to the rhetoric of I think I or somebody should kill my political opponent. I mean, I don't think we're a far leap
Starting point is 01:00:32 from this at this point. You know, the Supreme Court's standard on free speech limitations is a direct incitement to violence. A direct incitement of violence generally, legally has been interpreted as, hey guys, go kill him or hey guys, go get him, right? It's a specific target. It's a specific action that is violent being called for. I don't know. Whether it's Hassan Piker singing Bella Chow, Bella Chow to open up his stream or Gavin Newsom tweets over the weekend. I just don't think we're far, Dave. And when I say I don't think we're far, I don't know if I'm saying 30 days. I don't if I'm saying a year, but I feel like we're getting really close. And you know what? By the way, if they said, I think if they tweeted we should kill our political opponents, I don't think
Starting point is 01:01:20 you could do anything about it. I don't think it would qualify under Brandenburg, a direct incitement devils. It'd be a real test. That's my point. We're getting real close to the test of the end of free speech. I mean, you've reached the bottom. It's not free from here. You're completely right. And by the way, you have to give the devil his due. You know, when they're out there, up looking like terrorists screaming from the river to the sea. Well, from the river to the sea is a call for genocide, right? They don't even know what river and sea they're talking about,
Starting point is 01:01:47 but it's a direct call for genocide. Now, do I want someone jailed for that? I do not, but what you have to understand is they're subtly importing the language of, the language and action of revolution using our own free speech protections against us. Your point is, boy, if they just outwardly said it, like we're here to kill these people,
Starting point is 01:02:06 because you're right, that guy, Hassan Piker on Twitch, has said blood in the streets and all sorts of crazy things, and he's still on Twitch, so put aside the government of the United States, Twitch has a term of service, I assume that's violating it, but okay, whatever, they're a private company.
Starting point is 01:02:20 But you're right, I think what they've done basically is there is a task, look what happened after Luigi Mangione kills the United Healthcare CEO, Brian Thompson in Times Square. Basically, there was a mass movement online to make this kid a hero, right? Like, mass movement, and it doesn't mean that every Democrat or leftist
Starting point is 01:02:38 believes it. But show me the Democrat outside of John Federman and Bill Maher, who are willing to stand up to these people. There basically is nobody. The clowns, the inmates are running the asylum at this point. And they're progressing, but what they're progressing to might be pretty scary on the other side. I think it is. I don't even see brakes on the car. I think it's headed there. It's just a matter of when and then what happens. And then you'll be accused of being somebody who doesn't support free speech. but I think we're headed for that conflict. I think we're headed for the conflict of rhetoric that is clearly too far. It would be interesting to figure out what is, what would have to be enough.
Starting point is 01:03:17 It'll be a case-by-case basis, but I just think they're going to get there really quick. I think they're headed in that direction. By the way, good luck in Australia. Because if there's one place outside of the UK that I'd be nervous for your speech rights, it might be Australia. Well, that's partly why we're trying to do one big international trip a year. And that really was partly why we chose Australia. My first tour in Australia got canceled because of COVID, so I've wanted to go back
Starting point is 01:03:43 since I toured with Jordan Peterson there and had an absolutely great time, but then they went through all of this draconian stuff during COVID. They obviously have a little jihad, larping jihad problem. And I'm gonna defend free speech. And Australia is a country full of great people
Starting point is 01:04:00 that have a little bit of that UK problem. You know, the good people have been cowed into silence and I wanna unpack that a little bit and see if we can wake them up. I hope you stream that. That'll be interesting to see. I would love to see what you tell them and how they respond.
Starting point is 01:04:15 Dave will be there in October and you can catch them all the time at the Ruben Report. Dave, always good to talk to you, man. Thank you. Good to see you, Will. You too. All right, before we go today,
Starting point is 01:04:26 speaking of incest, like how I segue this, watch this. Speaking of marrying your cousin. How about kissing your sister? that's what people say a tie is like we got a tie last night and that means we got to do two days get ready hit the sounder final takes final takes boom i think i i think he did music and then he added his actual live voice i don't think that was pre-recorded i don't know we're going to have to see it sounded pretty
Starting point is 01:05:01 good uh two days dan ten four pat All here with us on this final episode of Final Takes before we leave today. Okay, final takes. Two quick sports and quasi-sports-related stories. The Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers tied 40 to 40 last night in overtime. I was at the game. I have a couple quick hot takes. I know our boss told us, keep them quick.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Nope. We're going to let them breathe. So first of all, can I just tell you, boys, something, and I don't mean to dunk on you, but AT&T stadium is awesome. It is easily, it's got to be a top three stadium in the NFL. I haven't been to SoFi in L.A. And I haven't been to Minnesota, Minneapolis, which looks really cool on TV. Those two, like just from a TV perspective, look really awesome.
Starting point is 01:05:58 But for all the stuff we make fun of Jerry about and he deserves every bit of it, AT&T is awesome. night game, okay, sun wasn't setting with that east to west running stadium with no curtains. But that thing's 20 years old, more than 20 years old. And I don't know if either of you boys have been there, but Dan, I'll bet you've been to MetLife. I've been to MetLife. They were built the same year. Jets and Giants. It's not even close, man. It's not on the same playing field in any way. And I haven't been to a ton of NFL. stadiums. I've been to the Superdome. I've been to, is it called Allegiance in Las Vegas, the new one for the Raiders. I've been to MetLife. AT&T is awesome. It really, really is an awesome
Starting point is 01:06:45 environment to watch a game. And it was so much fun last night. That game was so much fun. It had everything. Lambos is a Green Bay Packer fan. I'll tell you this, I'll tell you, well, a totally different thing, right? The thing about places like Lambo or Pittsburgh is, I'm not telling you that the Dallas crowd is the best. Oh, I know another stadium I've been to. Lincoln Financial Field. And so I'm sure once you put that crowd in there, it's intimidating and awesome. But I'm talking about the physical building itself and everything it provides for you to enjoy a game. It's nothing compared to AT&T.
Starting point is 01:07:18 My brother-in-law is a Giants fan. He's just at AT&T for a Cowboys game. It said it was amazing. Better than MetLife. As a Giants fan said, though. Oh, MetLife's not even in the, yeah, it's not even in the country. I mean, that's not even an opinion. But I would like to see Minneapolis in L.A.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Dan, first quarter, I thought for sure we were losing that game. We were going to get rolled. So did I. Absolutely rolled. Dude, I was so confident. I was with a bunch of dudes, and at halftime, we were like, how are we winning? How are we winning this game? We just got dominated, and we're up 16 to 13.
Starting point is 01:07:55 This is incredible. And, of course, the game went to overtime. I mean, I was, the guys I was with, I don't think we're appreciating the clock as much as I was. I was adding the clock the whole time, meaning the Cowboys scored with four minutes to go, right? And I was like, well, they're going to score a touchdown. So we're going to have to have the ballback for a Brandon Aubrey, for a Brandon Aubrey 60-yard or to win the game. And ended up, we got the ball back, we scored too fast and left 43 seconds on the clock. And I'm like, well, now we're going to, now we're going to overtime.
Starting point is 01:08:28 because we're not stopping them in 43 seconds. It was fascinating, but what we want to discuss here today is a tie. And we have a divergence of opinion. Dan thinks it's Dan looking to recoup his image from last week in the comment section, thinks it's full-on socialism. He just wants you guys to know he hates something. I'm going the other way now. The way other way.
Starting point is 01:08:50 Yeah. And tinfoil Pat, alt-right Pat, he is good with a tie. So you guys, you each have 20 seconds. Go. 10 full a pat, go. I think that ties make a lot of sense in regular season football, college football, pro football, hockey. The only sport that should never end in a tie is baseball in any regular season or postseason. It just is better for the game to have ties.
Starting point is 01:09:20 It makes, it's more simple. That's an insane thing to say. I'll say, his argument is, his argument is not as good as it was on the phone call. His argument on the phone call is quit trying to perfect everything. Ties happen. They happen in the world. They happen in life. Ties happen in the game. Quit trying to perfect that out of the game. But that's what I'm here for. I only had 22nd. Okay, two days. Go ahead. Ties should not be happening. You're playing a game. It's a sport. There should be a winner and loser. No second place. No ties. No nothing like that. If you want ties, go watch socialist soccer. Dan likes it I'm not going to let he likes socialist soccer
Starting point is 01:09:59 So I'm not going to let recoup his entire in one take When do we stop having ties in one take? When do we stop having ties? I hate ties. It's so dumb. We're going to end that game? That game was amazing. And we just end even the announcer's like, okay, I guess we just go home now.
Starting point is 01:10:14 That's it. I mean, we just stopped. Ed is in here yelling the word anticlimatic. Anti-climatic? That's okay. That's fine. It was a letdown. It was a letdown. I know what you're saying, Dan.
Starting point is 01:10:30 That game was so entertaining. Yeah. Back and forth. And then to end with that result feels so anticlimactic. He was like, say it. Say anticlimactic. But here's how we fix it, Patrick. You don't have.
Starting point is 01:10:50 to over tweak it. They tweaked it too far, Patrick. So first, okay, they did the thing where they said everybody's going to get a possession. No more sudden death off the coin flip and the kickoff. Everybody gets a possession. I like that. You like that? Let's take a quick vote.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Raise your hand. Everybody gets a possession. Do you like it? Raise your hand. All hands are up. Patrick's hand's not up? He's so-so up. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:11:13 I'm so-so. I know. He's... But when you do that, What is overtime? Ten minutes. You need to give it more time. What happened last night was the clock.
Starting point is 01:11:27 That Cowboys drive took almost the entire thing, right? It took like six, seven minutes, and sadly ended in a field goal inside the five-yard line. That was pass interference, by the way. Leaving the Packers, whatever, dude. You want to play this game with me all night? You don't think calls went both ways? Mm-mm. George Pickens outperformed Micah Parsons.
Starting point is 01:11:53 You want to do this? How about that? How about Jeff? Whoa. He was a stud last night. Whoa. And you played without CD-Lam. I will give you that. Micah did make the game save.
Starting point is 01:12:01 He did make the game-saving tackle. Yeah. But outside of that play, I can't say, where's Micah? Where's-and, by the way, we had a backup left tackle playing against him. And we're double-teaming him. But you've got to give him more time. another five minutes on that clock probably what would have happened if we're being honest well i don't know would the packers have gotten their touchdown without the pressures of the
Starting point is 01:12:26 clock by wait dan are you sure there was one second on that clock yeah baby i want a little replay on that that was the dumbest it hit his body right at the one second mark it was so dumb like you guys should have lost that game that was a terrible terrible play that was awful what was he doing that was the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I was going, oh my God, he's going to let the clock run out. This is incredible. Like, he didn't, he wasn't smart in saving that one second. He was pure ass lucky that there was one second left on that clock. He didn't deserve that. Jordan Love. Absolutely not. Played well. Dack is a killer, by the way.
Starting point is 01:13:04 My long and short of it is. Oh, little Dack credit coming on the show. I like it. He was a gamer, and towards the end, he really turned into something else. I'll give him that. That's the frustrating for me in my relationship with Dak. I mean, last night, I mean, you can say what you want, you can scoff. That was top five quarterback in the league play last night. For about 10 minutes. He was incredible. He's fantastic in the season, dude.
Starting point is 01:13:34 So, I mean, he did it in the game. Patrick, I saw somebody. The defense did what? I'm just kidding. They gave up 40. I know, I'm just kidding. The defense is horrific. Last NFL.
Starting point is 01:13:51 Hey, Patrick, I said somebody say this once. This is really good. The test for a quarterback is how you play in the last two minutes of a game and how you play in the playoffs. That's actually pretty good most of the time in the last two minutes of the game. He's not in the playoffs. But he was awesome last night.
Starting point is 01:14:06 Yeah. Add more time to the clock. Cowboys get the ball back. What would have happened is Brandon Aubrey would have kicked a 60-yarder to win the game. You would have lost the game. Dan. I tell you, when the Cowboys start getting close to the star,
Starting point is 01:14:18 anywhere, you know the star in the middle field, whenever they're approaching within five yards of the star, we got three points now. Yeah. We're three from here. Mr. Notre Dame. All right. Only other thing quick takes or final takes today we want to do is
Starting point is 01:14:32 Bad Bunny is your Super Bowl performer. Everybody's very upset. Bad Bunny. Why, Ed? Why are they upset or why is he the performer? He hates ice. he dresses he cross dresses um
Starting point is 01:14:49 I mean these are the reasons right Patrick what else he's only music is only in Spain so we cancelling people for their opinions now is that what we're doing oh I'm sorry yeah let's do it is this are we cancelling people for what they think how about like the world's
Starting point is 01:15:02 how about instead of canceling them not booking them he's the biggest star in the world he's the best for ratings he's literally the biggest star in the world and technically an American because he's Puerto Rican, so we can go there. Oh, I don't think he would say that. I know, he would not.
Starting point is 01:15:22 He would not say that. That's a lefty, that's a lefty white guy thing to say. I don't think any Puerto Rican's going to say that. He's one of us, yeah. What, if you could replace him, Patrick, you have, I'm putting 20 seconds back on the clock, okay? They have made the argument he's the biggest. star. He sells out stadiums. I'm with you. We're in the boardroom at the NFL. JZ's chirping over here in the corner. Book bad bunny. Book bad bunny. And we're over here at the other end of the boardroom
Starting point is 01:15:54 table going, man, read the room. I don't think this is where America is right now. He's had a lot of anti-American stuff, yada, yada, yada. But you can't just shoot down Jay Z's recommendation. You've got to offer a positive one. So 20 seconds on the clock, Patrick. Give me who it's going to be. That actually Please don't say death cab for, please don't say death cab for QD. Some 41. I've thought about this a lot. Give me who you. I think I'm a big country guy, okay, but I would do Morgan Wallen, for one.
Starting point is 01:16:25 I would say I would counter with him. And I would also do. Has Morgan Wallen never done it? No. I'd also consider doing like a red hot, like a nostalgic thing and go red hot chili peppers who have never headlined or Blink 182 who have a bunch of stadium. anthems. People are really into nostalgia, and we did that like 20 years ago with, you know, the big rock rock acts. We did do that. We haven't done it yet. So, the new era. Was that rolling
Starting point is 01:16:53 stones? What was that? Paul McCartney did Jacksonville here. So there were quite a few. Red out chili peppers might be good. I like the 90s. Yeah, I like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink 1A2, sort of the 90s, early 2000s throwback. That's kind of good. And, And Morgan Wallen has to have coming up in those conversations. Has to have. Talk about stadium. He's not broad enough. You know.
Starting point is 01:17:21 Zach Brian literally just sold out. The biggest stadium in the world is 112,000, I think, like, this last week. So, Michigan. Yeah. Why are we doing? He's not country. He's folk. Let's be honest.
Starting point is 01:17:36 Well, then, you know. And Morgan Wall is pretty pop country. I think he's broad. I mean, half of Morgan's songs are, like, trapped. music. Like, he's like, it's like, it is more female-centric, I feel like. Honestly, I saw somebody say that one time. No, that's right, Ed. I don't know trap music. What is trap music? I don't know. I just saw somebody say that one time. Pretty sure I said it. But I think Morgan Wallen would have been a good, good replacement.
Starting point is 01:18:04 Good job, Patrick. Taylor Swift should have. Offered solutions, not just, I think we're done with Taylor Swift for a little while. Can we just take a break? pregnant Taylor Swift imagine pregnant Taylor Swift she would burn down the entire TV wait what are you saying down oh the nation would be going I it would be insane if she came out pregnant yeah is she pregnant oh yeah no I'm saying if she came out pregnant oh all right that's it not fast final takes that's going to do for us today here on will cane country make sure you please hang out with us every day Monday through Thursday 12 o'clock at Wilcane country on YouTube or if you can't make us live check us out at Spotify or
