Starting point is 00:00:12 One of us is fed up with the left, and it's not me. Plus, ask me anything. Advice from Wilcane Country. It is Wilcane Country. Normally streaming live every Monday through Thursday at 12 o'clock Eastern Time, with the Wilcane Country YouTube channel, the Wilcane Facebook page. But always here. Just hit follow at Spotify and we're on Apple.
Starting point is 00:00:33 It's Friday. Let's get started. Let's deal with geriatric diabetes. I caught it in the moment, but I didn't really want to say anything because when Patrick declared that his wife had geriatric diabetes, I felt like that could be sensitive. And within the circle of trust, breaking the fourth wall, bursting the bubble into family dynamics. But considering that he produces this show and gathered this comment from TLP Marshall, the whole geriatric diabetes killed me. Gestational. Best part of listening to you all.
Starting point is 00:01:16 is this banter. Every morning like clockwork, I turn it on and listen to at least an episode or so. Thank you for the fabulous entertainment and the great news. So your wife, Patrick, doesn't have geriatric diabetes. No. She has gestational diabetes? Gestational diabetes. Yes. I realized it a couple minutes into it. Gestational just means you have diabetes while you're pregnant.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Oh. And geriatric pregnancy is what I was, I was conflated. I mixed up to two terms. And now that she's over 35, any pregnancy becomes geriatric. And so I like to make fun of her because she's not that old. But, you know. You're saying when you are pregnant post 35, they classify it as a geriatric pregnancy, which is just rude. That's rough.
Starting point is 00:02:14 They should come up with another name. I mean, my wife's already over that. That's just rude. You need to come up with another name. Like the word geriatric, like, what is geriatric in your head? That is 80? I don't even know. 70.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Not 70, right? Geriatric. Geriatric sounds like you can't, you, you, everything hurts when you move and you don't move very much. It's a Greek word meaning old man. Yeah. Specifically for men, too. Yeah. Specifically for men?
Starting point is 00:02:48 Yeah. So then they throw that on the pregnant lady? You're not only old, you're masculine. It means old man in ancient Greece. Okay, so your wife is a geriatric pregnancy with gestational diabetes.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Correct. Correct. Glad we figured that out. I like how he said correct. Are you feeling like you're on Are you skating out near the middle of the pond right now and you can hear the cracks? Do you feel this could be dangerous territory? I'm going to tell you, my comments didn't used to be clipped, and now they are. And I'm a little nervous.
Starting point is 00:03:31 So you thought you could get away with it because you're like, she doesn't listen to the show. But now, you know, she scrolls Instagram and you're like, shit, this could end up on Instagram. A lot. a lot. And I re-shared the last one of mine, and she liked it. So I'm like, I'm not resharing this one. I'm keeping it on the DL, just hoping and praying. When you say shared it, do you mean, or liked it?
Starting point is 00:03:58 Did she say to you in person, oh, I like that one, or you saw her hit the heart, and you felt like everything was okay in the house? Yeah, yeah. So you have the clip, and then you see all the people like what they did to it. So you see, like, they shared it or they liked it. and so she had liked it. Oh, you guys didn't even discuss it. So it's like Instagram communications going on inside the house.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Right. She did not see the geriatric diabetes thing. That's what I'm saying. She did not see this one. And so I'm hoping that she doesn't see it. I'm thinking about going into her phone and just like clicking into it so it doesn't show up in her feed. I don't know what to do. You see the men and black little thing that's a flasher so she forgets.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Yeah. that would be a good idea I think if you go into her phone you've opened up a whole new can that's not that's not cool you can't be going into
Starting point is 00:04:51 people's phones no secrets and doing things speaking of advice Patrick brings us this from Reddit and I actually really liked this one
Starting point is 00:05:05 and I don't I like things that are closer to a 50-50 or 60-40 proposition. My thought on this is this is not going to be. I think 80 to 90% of people are going to be with me on this on my take. Okay. So Redditor says, my husband wants to name our daughter after his ex-girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:05:27 All right, bad start, right? Headline, bad start. That's probably 90% of people are like, what? And then she explains. I'm 29. I'm seven months pregnant with our first child. My husband, let's call him Dan. and I have been together for five years.
Starting point is 00:05:42 We're both excited about having a daughter. Last week we were discussing baby names, and Dan suggested Elena. I liked it until he told me why. Elena was his ex-girlfriend from college. They dated for three years, and she passed away in an accident shortly after they broke up. He says it's not about romance. It's about honoring someone who was once important to him. He told me he's been carrying guilt for years and naming our daughter after her would help him heal.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I understand grief is complicated, but I don't want to look at my daughter every day and think about another woman in my husband's life. I suggested we use it as a middle name. He refused and said that defeats the purpose. Now we're stuck. He's upset. I'm not being compassionate. I'm upset. He's prioritizing his ex over my feelings.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Am I being selfish or is he asking too much? All right, let's take a vote. What do you mean? This has got to be 100% here. He is asking too much. No matter what sob story he lays on her, that is not cool. Right? It's not cool.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Not cool at all. That's insane. I would be like, are you kidding me? This is our child. I'm sorry that happened to you, but this is not happening. And the line, this will help me heal. The girlfriend who died? Get out of here.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Yeah. She broke up with him. They had been broken up. What is? She broke up with him before she died. What is he holding on to? Well, it doesn't say that she broke up with him. It just says they broke up.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Didn't it? Oh, yeah. Well, maybe not she broke. But either he broke up with her or she broke up with him. Yeah, it's not like she passed while they were together. They weren't even together. Yeah. I've seen a similar thing.
Starting point is 00:07:37 That's a good distinction. Where it was like, oh, my ex-husband or my husband who had passed, you know, and then it gets a little hairier because it's like they're a widow and like they hold on to like this memory of someone who wasn't. I would say that's not cool either. If you, okay, let me get this straight. You're a widow or a widower and then you marry and you have a child with a new spouse. Yes. I don't think you can name that child after you. your previous marriage.
Starting point is 00:08:08 You could remember them in other ways. It doesn't have to be naming a child. Yeah, somebody said, why don't you get a nice bench or a dog? Sure. You can start a scholarship. Right. Dude, even the dog, the dog would be weird.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Even a dog, you're right. Yeah. Calling out the name in your house all the time like that. Now, I will say, okay, how about this? Let me mix it up. What about somebody you dated, okay, and then time passes, but you liked that name? And it's not anything to do with the person. Do you see what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:08:44 Is that name off limits because you dated somebody with that name? Yes. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah. That name's done because you dated somebody with that name? It's done for me in my head, yeah, absolutely. I couldn't do it. Yeah, usually go backwards.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Yeah, usually go backwards and you're like thinking about names. name. If it was super unique, I'm with you. If it was like, her name was what's a really unique female name? I think
Starting point is 00:09:16 Charlotte is even too common, right? Like, something more unique. Okay, yes. Alejandra. I dated this girl named Alejandra, sweetie, but I don't feel anything for her. I just think that's a cool name. And I want a
Starting point is 00:09:32 our daughter, Alejandra. That would be a little suspicious. But Jane, but Jane, or Charlotte, or, you know, I don't, I don't think it takes it off. Yeah. But do you, but say you did and you don't tell your wife that was an ex-girlfriend's name. And then it comes out somehow. And then she finds out that you've needed. named your child after an ex and you didn't.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Like three years later. Yeah. And you didn't tell them. Wait. Wait. What's your ex-girlfriend's name? Yeah. It's Elena.
Starting point is 00:10:11 It's Elena. Yeah. Like our daughter, Elena? Like, that's really bad. Yeah. That wouldn't work. But the, the X thing is tough.
Starting point is 00:10:21 So all X names are off the table. Yeah. How do you feel about being friends with X's? Yes or no? No. How close? how close like
Starting point is 00:10:35 come and hang out with you and your spouse sometimes like if they were going out oh I have a girl that this is the kind of I hope this stuff isn't clip too that
Starting point is 00:10:46 I have a situation that I dated and my wife and I are friends with her with she and her husband but not like I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:10:55 once every five years type oh hey like we went to dinner once or twice you know, run into them here and there, and it's always a nice hangout conversation. My wife likes her, and there's nothing weird. There's nothing weird there.
Starting point is 00:11:13 So I only bring that up because I think it's the only one, like, I think. I've had exes be friends with their guy friends, like their exes, and they'll text and be like, hey, saw this funny clip or something like that or send Instagram reels and stuff like that. Let's take a quick break, but we'll be right back on Will Caney. country. I think that you can't have a one-on, I don't think a one-on-one relationship, an ongoing one-on-one relationship is cool. But women say you can't.
Starting point is 00:11:42 It's got to be at that point a couple's relationship. And the key has got to be that, okay, like, you like her ex-boyfriend and you feel totally trusting about it. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, totally. Like you're, you're a hundred, you almost become the primary now. Yeah. It's your friendship as, as much or more than hers.
Starting point is 00:12:02 It should have just be pals with her ex. Yeah, it's different. I don't even, I think it's really difficult for men and women to be one-on-one friends and a relationship. Women disagree. I've had this conversation many times. And that's why you have these situations where feelings develop, you know? Well, they'll be like, well, men ruin it.
Starting point is 00:12:23 They can't be friends with me because they want me. It's all men and all women. There's always a sexual tension there. But don't name your kid after your ex. Let's go with that. No, don't do that. All right. Reddit asks us another pretty good question. This one's maybe a little even closer.
Starting point is 00:12:39 My partner proposed in front of his whole family. I said yes, but I wasn't ready. Here's the story. I'm 26. I've been with Mike for two years. We talked about marriage casually. He knows I wanted to wait until I finished grad school next year. Last weekend, he proposed at his parents' house during a family dinner.
Starting point is 00:12:58 His mom, dad, sister, and grandparents were all. all there watching. He got down on one knee in front of everyone. I felt all eyes on me. I said yes, because I didn't want to embarrass him. Everyone cried and hugged, but inside I felt trapped. Later, I told him I wasn't ready and wished he'd waited. He got upset. He said he planned it for months, and I, quote, ruined the memory by saying that. He also said that if I truly loved him, I'd be excited regardless of timing. I love him, but I feel like I wasn't given a real choice. Now his family is already asking about wedding dates. Do I stick with the engagement and try to be happy?
Starting point is 00:13:38 Or do I be honest and ask him to wait even if it breaks his heart? That's kind of an interesting one. That's tough. What, Patrick? This isn't that hard, okay? This isn't that hard because people get engaged all the time and wait two or three years anyway. Sure.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Just be engaged. Who gives a damn? Yeah, I think that's the right call. You say, if you're not comfortable with what Patrick, just to say, said, then you actually don't want to marry him. Exactly. Well, that's why I would say the opposite. I would say she should break up with him and not be with him based on his reaction.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Kind of like forcing it and getting mad. Yeah, I would, hell no. Get out of here. Don't tell what to do. What do you mean? I would be so put off by that. If I was honest with my partner and be like, hey, I don't know if I'm ready and they got upset with me. Like, I planned this for months and you ruined.
Starting point is 00:14:32 it and blah blah, blah. That's not a partner you should be with. Absolutely not. If you can't have an honest, real conversation about it, you shouldn't be married. Dan is the comment section on Reddit. It's hilarious. Really? They're all with the, they're all with.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Oh, yeah, they all like, this person's toxic. Everyone is like, get away from him. Get away from them. They're taught, these people are toxic. Any kind of situation like this. If you can't be honest and respectful about it, just because, your feelings are hurt, then you should not marry that person. We're not talking about dating. We're talking about marrying someone. That's a big commitment. Okay, hold on. Like most things in life,
Starting point is 00:15:11 I feel what we have here is a breakdown in communication. A poor, poor, we either have very poor communication or we have reality seeping through the cracks. So let's explore the first option first. If she told him, I really don't want to get into this or do this until I get this other thing behind me, grad school, and he ignored that. That is a little bit of a red flag. But the question is, how well did she communicate that? Seriously. How well did she communicate? I don't, I want to finish grad school before I consider marriage. I actually, and I think that her decision is a little bit suspicious, a little bit suspicious, too. Like this whole, like, I want to wait thing. I'm.
Starting point is 00:16:00 like you're not, so what does that mean? You're not convinced? You guys have talked about marriage casually. That's what I'm saying. I think this whole like, I'm not convinced thing. You should know. So that's the, that's the, that's option two. That's reality seeping in. Like, maybe she doesn't really want to marry him or she's unconvinced, in which case he should run. He should run. Now, I mean they just shouldn't be together. It's kind of my point. And then the whole conversation, after the fact. How did she deal with this? She says, I told him I wasn't ready and wished he'd waited. Well, I'm with Patrick now. What do you mean? Like, you can make the engagement last as long as you want. And if you say, I want to do this in two years, people will stop asking you about
Starting point is 00:16:46 wedding details. I will agree, that sucks. I'm focused on grad school, and now I've got all this pressure and people saying to me, when's the wedding, what are we wearing, where's the venue, all that stuff. And that, if you're not ready to deal with that part of the wedding, I get it. So make it a two-year engagement. And that could have been handled in communication. But the why did you ask me now thing? I think something broke down here.
Starting point is 00:17:14 And it could be that they're really bad at communicating with each other, which is a red flag in and of itself. Or this chick's just not going to marry him. She's not into him like she says. she may love him, but she's unconvinced she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Well, there's one big factor we're missing is the fact that both of them had different ideas about getting married.
Starting point is 00:17:35 If he didn't know she wasn't ready to get married, then some communication is way off. Most people know that they're at the right time and you're going to propose and they're going to say yes. It doesn't happen really anymore that you're worried that someone's
Starting point is 00:17:51 really going to say no if you propose to them. You just know. You talk about it. And let's be honest. It's usually the other way around. It's the guy who's not ready. Right. And so, and guys are not ready for, again, I think, one of two reasons. Either because he's really not ready to settle down with one person and he still wants to have fun out there and that kind of thing, which is a red flag. Or he's bought into the thing that too many guys say to themselves, which is, I haven't made enough money.
Starting point is 00:18:18 I'm not established enough. I don't have my career settled. That kind of thing. And that one is understandable. but guys have got to get over that. Because what they have to begin to realize is marriage helps, doesn't hurt you in building a life. That's true.
Starting point is 00:18:33 But going back to what you said about communication, so being Catholic, they force you to go to these, like, different things before you get married. Precana? Kind of like that, right? And it's like sometimes it's one-on-one. Other times it's like a group retreat, you know?
Starting point is 00:18:50 That's true. And so we went on this group retreat, and in that time there had to been like 10 or 12 other couples there the majority of them did not were not compatible they didn't know what the other person wanted
Starting point is 00:19:04 they were they disagreed on a lot of different and they didn't know it before and had no idea yeah we play games how is that they don't talk that's got to be very common is it they don't talk I think so I think they don't talk about the things that are actually important right you know as far as like a lot of people aren't introspective they don't have that inner monologue we talked about that's right yeah my wife and i were like one of
Starting point is 00:19:26 two couples that that like we matched on all the things everyone else was like you know red and green you know instead of green and green or red and red so how do they spend their time together just watching netflix and things like that like how well it's stuff yeah people are like that i know people like that that don't talk to each other about real Relationship is based on commonality of surface level things. Yeah, that's it. Like, hey, you're going to bring the kid to school today or, you know, this happened at work, that just that. Not like, hey, what are your views on, you know, death?
Starting point is 00:20:05 And it's hard for people who are intelligent to understand that we literally live in a world full of NPCs that do not really think. man that thing that you just said calling other people NPCs it's it's a really it's no i i i i part of me wants to like jump all over you and beat you down into submission intellectually but but the other part of me is like it's so common and it's such an um elixir it's such an intoxicant to think of other people as NPCs you know the the The precursor. Well, they said, no, this is still a thing that people say today. I mean, my wife, she kind of first wanted to introduce me into this concept of, like, main character syndrome.
Starting point is 00:20:54 That's what we call it now. But back, you know, 15 years ago, she said, everybody is starring in their own movie. And there's, you know, billions of movies being played at the same time. And I feel like calling other people NPCs is, like, the ultimate in suffering from main character syndrome. Do you know what I mean? Like, I give what you're saying. But the same thing I'm saying people are sheep. It used to be just saying sheep.
Starting point is 00:21:21 People's IQs matter. And so, like, there are a lot of people who don't really think. They're just not thinking. He is right, though. That's all I'm saying. Okay, okay, okay. I want to sound this out for a minute. I get it.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Okay, I'm going to put aside the ego of calling other people NPCs. Let's, have you never been surprised by someone that you're like, oh, you know, that person, you know, is uneducated or whatever, they don't come off as somebody who is thoughtful. And then you just somehow find yourself in a situation, you know, campfire or, or whatever. And you're like, if you give people the space, then all of a sudden they say something and you're like, man, I hadn't seen it that way or thought about it that way. And I'm not talking about the modern version of that of like, you know, my lived experience thing. that one is less interesting to me.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Like, that's the modern day. Like, my subjective world that I've gone through is so it's a pearl and font of wisdom that you should learn to appreciate. That's less interesting to me. But more like, man, that was kind of weirdly insightful in this way that doesn't go into my brain and come out the same way. And if I step back for a minute, I think about it. I'm like, wow, let me just kind of like look at this whole little cube from a different angle.
Starting point is 00:22:41 And I've run into these people sometimes, and I think they're too easily dismissed as an NPC, and you're like, oh my God, you're looking at the cube from a totally different angle, and you're not out there making it obvious to everybody in the world. Do you see what I'm saying? Again, I'm just, I don't, I get it. There are definitely dumb people out there in the world. But it's funny how everyone else is an NPC. You ever notice that? Everyone else is. I just said, I just at least half the population. But not you. Well, I'm not you. Yeah. Have you ever heard of anyone say I'm an NPC? That's his point. No, I'm saying, like, I can't be an NPC.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Like, I've thought about this a lot. Am I an NPC? Because you're blackpilled. Yeah, no, but I'm not. There's no way I can be an NPC. See, that's such an NPC thing to say. Hold on. Time, time, time. I don't want to take for granted that everybody listening knows what the hell we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:23:41 You use this acronym 50 times. Right. I'll ask you right now, as you're watching and listening, do you know what an NPC is? That is a, I would say, a Gen Z slang term, or is it a millennial? No, it's been around. It's video games. It's video games. It's what you call someone.
Starting point is 00:23:57 It's a non-playable character, an non-playable character. A non-playable character. Think about when you're playing a video game, and there's the other characters in the video games that are just kind of standing there doing nothing or milling about doing nothing. and they're not integral to the game. They're not part of the game. They have one role. And this is a real...
Starting point is 00:24:17 They have one response. Or they have one role. They have one responsibility, one thing to do. That's it. But you can't play it. You can't select that character. You can't be that character. That character is maybe not extraneous, but limited, simple, and not a chosen or actionable
Starting point is 00:24:37 character. It's like when you go to McDonald's and you, and you, or, and the person takes your order, like, their only program to take your order, take your money, give you the food. But they're in the world and they're part of everything and they're cog in the machine, but they have just one thing and they don't think about anything else. Yeah. I mean. This is actually a good transition into. You are right.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Because, like, I do, there are times where I dismiss people. I will say that. But, yeah. Are there are times? No. No, you're the opposite. Your main character. You have your own show.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Look what we're on. That's the point is like the people that I interact with are all above NPC. How about this? I'm dealing with people who are very intelligent. Would Elon Musk think I'm an NPC? He thinks everyone in the NPC. Well, I think he thinks we're all cogs in the machine. And some are just operating at higher levels.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Yeah. Or a higher, better written. Would Sam Altman? Would Jeff Bezos say I'm an NPC? I don't know if they have given it. The left would. That's true. The left would say you're just like a mouthpiece NPC for any conservative talking point.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Typical Fox News hosts. That's what they would say. Like your only job is to just exist to spout certain things. And that's it. Right. That's right. So yes. Some people would say that.
Starting point is 00:26:11 I will say not that I'm trying to swing back at the straw. man, you've created for me to make me mad. But there's nothing, there's nothing more NPC to me than the behavior of the left, really from about 2018 to 2026. Facts. Peking in 2020 and 2021. The behavior of people who regurgitate and swallow all of these, it's not a truism, but whatever, lines
Starting point is 00:26:42 cliched thinking and enforce it with fervor is the ultimate NPC Act to me believe the science trust all experts wear a mask
Starting point is 00:26:51 you know all that stuff uh fascist Nazi there's nothing more it's funny how it's all the same everywhere to me than that
Starting point is 00:27:02 the same words so weird and from Chevron since 1779 their people have been more than a source of energy they've been a source of progress helping deliver record U.S. energy production and fueling to breakthroughs that move America forward.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Learn more at chevron.com slash 250. Let's take a quick break, but we'll be right back on Will Cain Country. By the way, on that note, instead of one of the next Reddit, Dan, breaking news, Dan texts us during the week and says, do you have the text in front of you, Patrick? I want to read the exact text to the audience. Let me find it.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Dan is decided to transition. At this stage in his life, he's decided he's more comfortable in heels. That was a personal thing. No, it's not that. Where is the text? It's had been Wednesday probably. Yeah, it was Wednesday. Almost there.
Starting point is 00:28:05 There's three long ones in a row. And we thought about doing it three long ones in a row. This is a hell of a tease. Okay, here it goes. This is Wednesday night at 848 p.m. That's right. Watching the Yankees. Central.
Starting point is 00:28:18 So 948 Eastern. This was inspired watching the Yankees? Well, on the Internet. I've got to be honest, type, Stan. It's becoming increasingly hard to want to be associated with anything Democrats are doing or any of them in general. Boom!
Starting point is 00:28:38 To which, by the way, nobody responded I was like I thought there'd be this big thing like oh my God I think I was watching the agency and I was like huh
Starting point is 00:28:51 and went back to watching the agency yeah then he says I'm down to air my grievances on the show and then he says I still have some liberal views but the way the party is going
Starting point is 00:29:03 is really getting to me and then Patrick jumps in but honestly I didn't care what Patrick had to say because of course he's going to like cheer it on Right. Yeah. What I was in. Something about cognitive dissonance required.
Starting point is 00:29:16 That-da-da-da-da. Okay. So what happened, Dan? What did your wife do? I don't even go there. Well, it's, you know, there's conversations that we have. No. It's really just seeing everything on the internet and, like, the talking points that are
Starting point is 00:29:33 keep getting regurgitated and regurgitated, and they're becoming increasingly stupid and corny. And I used to buy into it. Put some flesh on the bones. What are you talking about? Just like, yeah, got it. Like the, what are some talking about? What's the issue that got you? I'm trying to think of it in my head right now, but I can't.
Starting point is 00:29:55 There had to been a tipping point. Oh, sorry. So it's like the whole Palestine thing and the socialist thing. Like loving Mom Dani and going so far left and loving socialism and communism. and actually embracing socialism and communism. So this is what happened. It's a person that I really respect and liked, and I played music with years ago.
Starting point is 00:30:17 And I saw her post about Abdul al-Said winning. And she said, thank God we have, socialism is on the rise, down with fascism and dictatorship, and socialism is coming, and here we go. And I just, I was like, I really respected that person. And I felt like that was an incredibly dumb take. and I'm seeing it more and more from people
Starting point is 00:30:39 I would not have expected to say something like that so it's just this interesting yeah so it's becoming like more popular I'm like oh that's I would say to you guys like that's just kind of the radical left saying that now it's actually coming into my world and in my life and people that I actually know and respect and it's really bothering me because I completely disagree
Starting point is 00:30:59 okay so okay let's let's start here so I have had guest after guest stand and sit right where I am right now. I'm on the guest side of the table of the Will Kane show at 4 o'clock on Fox News. And these guests, Democrats, all tell me, except for when I have on a member of the DSA, and I have those on from a on occasion. Oh, it's not that many. This is a small selection. You guys at Fox are giving attention to this because you want this to be. you're out, you're blowing it up too big. It's not that big. It's in isolated pockets like New York.
Starting point is 00:31:41 And now, we should say, because we like complete context and honesty on this program, Dan, you live in New York. Dan, you're a northeasterner. So how representative of you actually are, are you of the left? Maybe your bubble is actually the exact type that embraces mom donnie in socialism. They are. People are. But, yeah, so what you're saying is, you know, your first experience might have validated what these guests are saying to me.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Oh, it's some radical corners and this and that. But you're seeing it bleed into common thought. Right. Now, the only question is, is your personal experience reflective of common thought at large on the left? If I pull a lefty from Austin in here, and I only use Austin is a very liberal city, but at least it's in Texas, right? is Abdul El-Said celebrated in Austin. And by the way, my suspicion is yes. Guarantee it.
Starting point is 00:32:36 This person I'm talking about was in L.A. by the way. How about this? Patrick. You know, this is always the case. I live in Dallas. I drive around. I see Tala RICO signs, right? I see more Tala RICO signs, obviously, than I see Paxton signs. But I should say, I also saw, you know, Harris-Waltz signs more than I saw Trump signs.
Starting point is 00:32:58 and yet Trump carries not only the nation, not only Texas, but this area as well. So those people are more likely to put their signs out. But if I approached one of these Tala RICO sign people in Dallas, would they be celebrating El-Said? So let's take Austin out of the equation because Austin is super liberal. So now we're talking about a little more, a little more mainstream liberal in Dallas. Would they be excited about El-Sayed and the things that Dan just quoted? I don't think that they would I think they would celebrate it because
Starting point is 00:33:30 he has the D by his name I don't think they're thinking about the Democratic Socialism part they probably don't hear See that's the thing I thought A lot of those things Yeah like it's not the socialism thing It's the D by the name But the D by the name is becoming
Starting point is 00:33:42 Such a different thing now Hmm yeah I mean And Tala Rico shares a lot of Democrat Tala Rico shares a lot of the same Like I Yeah well not really When I hear
Starting point is 00:33:56 When I hear Tala Rico talk there are some things I would agree with more than an El Cayed or a mom dani or AOC or I don't know especially the gender stuff right right yeah exactly that's the other thing it's the
Starting point is 00:34:11 the transgender conversation has become so insane that was another thing that's been completely turning me off it's just not common sense and I sound like the left has not walked away from that the left has not walked away from that as much as that was a loser and is a loser
Starting point is 00:34:27 they're not walking away from it. They are staying on this issue. And they may not want to talk about it, but they're not changing their position on it. Do you see what I'm saying? And whether or not it's the WNBA or Tala Rico, Tala RICO is not letting it go. And the only way they manage to frame it differently now
Starting point is 00:34:51 is trans people are being attacked. That's the line now. It's like the right is forcing this. issue. So I'm not going to stand by while trans people are attacked, which is such a rhetorical and logical trick. It's like you switched it up. How are trans? I saw Gabby Williams of the WNBA saying that as well, like even Cocoa Goff. Cocoa Goff, you know, famous professional tennis players basically said she thinks there should be genetic testing fairness, you know, that men shouldn't be competing women's sports. But she said, but I don't like
Starting point is 00:35:27 the way trans people are being attacked. And my question reverse is, how are they being attacked? And they also use the line, rights are being stripped away. What rights are being stripped away? Like, explain yourself. Playing sports of the gender than law. So now we flipped it back. Oh, so you're saying they're being attacked by somebody going,
Starting point is 00:35:46 no, you're not supposed to play in women's sports. You flipped it. You do a thing. You do a thing. Somebody says, that thing's not right. And now you're, that person saying it's not right, the attacker. You have a norm, and they change the norm. The norm is women's sport is for women. They change the norm and say, no, we're going to allow these dudes to play because they declare
Starting point is 00:36:07 themselves as women. And if anybody else goes, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, they're the attacker. Yeah. What a rhetorical trick. What a trick. Okay, what rights? Zero rights are being taken from trans. Okay, well, you know, I got to use the women's restroom, not the men's restroom because I identify as women. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, why are you taking away his rights? Idees. He doesn't have a right to go into the women's restroom.
Starting point is 00:36:32 This is such a logical magic act and a bad one. And so they don't let this issue go is my point. They're just trying to switch the framing on it. Like, oh, these big bad righties are attacking trans people. How, where, when? So they stay on it. And it's going to be a loser. And then, so what pissed me off, I had a conversation we were out recently, and I said that
Starting point is 00:36:59 that viewpoint, I was like, hey, this is kind of insane, right? And I was, someone said to me, you're hanging out of Fox News too much. It's just not an argument. I know, but it's not an argument. It's insane. I'm like, but what are you talking about? They're like, well, you can't, you have to just accept all trans things or else it's, you know, not letting them live or whatever.
Starting point is 00:37:20 You're embracing fascism. Yeah. I just... Yeah, basically, that's where that goes. Yeah, that's fascist. Yeah, and then they say... Whoa, whoa, whoa. Then they say Republicans are the only ones
Starting point is 00:37:30 that actually really care about this. It's not that big of a deal, and they make such a big deal out of it. You see that in comments everywhere. Then let it go. I know. Then go back to normal. If it's not that big of a deal,
Starting point is 00:37:43 then why don't you start being normal? Yeah. Start being reasonable. So all these things, having me said, that the reason I'm frustrated is, I feel like I have nowhere to live, right? I'm not really necessarily ready to go, you know, conservative or Republican, but I feel like there's a faction like me that just don't have anywhere to go in terms of voting,
Starting point is 00:38:05 in terms of supporting someone in terms of, you know, any of that. So that's where the frustration comes from. Well, you're laboring under the delusion that you get to choose, and you don't get to choose. What do you mean? So the famous graph of, you know, the person who is center left in 2010. And then in 2015, the left ran further to the left, forcing them as the chart moves into the center right. And the lefty is yelling at you, you know, bigot. And then they keep running further left in 2020, and they're looking at you.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Now you're closer to me than you are to them. You started out closer to them. But you and I haven't moved. And they're yelling now at you, fascist. Oh, shit. Okay, then they keep running further left, and you and I are still standing in our original places, but now by proximity we're way closer together, and they're sitting there with a rifle ready to shoot you. You know, bigot, fascist assassination.
Starting point is 00:39:08 And so you aren't with them, and I'm sorry, that's not your choice. That's their choice. They made the choice. They're on this path of saying everybody that isn't, and it's a moving one, and that's the tough part. You've got to keep going with them because socialism is the latest movement that way. So true. If you're not going to go, then you are a fascist. By the way, you work with me.
Starting point is 00:39:32 You work at Fox. I hate to break it to you. Long ago, they told you, they decided you were the bad. Behind my back. Unless you're, I've found out. Unless your dog cussing me to them. That's the only way. And even if you did, I didn't expect you to say, yeah, I am.
Starting point is 00:39:48 But you could. but even if you did, even if you said, I think Will is a complete fascist, but man's got to get a check. They still wouldn't forgive you. And I don't. They say like, how could Will believe this? And I'm saying, how do you not? I don't, I don't, you know, just change up when I'm talking to them. But they talk behind my back.
Starting point is 00:40:13 And because of what you said, because I work here and work with you, they're like, oh, that's cool. You know, how do you do that and blah, blah, blah. now I'm the pariah without them telling me to my face. So there's people without a friend group. Some people tell me. They're like, well, Dan's just lying. He's not. And plus I'm not going for enough left because when every issue that comes up,
Starting point is 00:40:32 it's issue by issue when we see someone at the talking point, like the Caitlin Clark thing or whatever. And they're like, oh, what do you think about this? Because I work here. And I say something that's not. Do they do that, Dan? Do they pick at you and try to get your opinion? Every single time I see people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:46 What about the reflecting pool, man? I used to live in New York. out of wedding and it happened and like they just pick at something they just are very curious and even people in very very close proximity to me will question me and see like is he going a little more right a little more right and you're absolutely right it's not me changing I've stayed completely the same issues are different like maybe immigration or something I'll change my mind on but I haven't moved and they're going further and further left and it's just so so frustrating because yes, now I'm closer to them being called a fascist by them than being close to them.
Starting point is 00:41:24 I hate it. Yeah. So should I just go full right? Again, I don't think you have a choice. I know. You're already there. It doesn't matter. There's no difference between you and me to them.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Do you understand what I'm saying? Yeah, that's true. Like, there's no difference. Whatever differences there are on the right, I try to think of a good proxy debate I do think there's some people on the right they're going all the way around the circle though
Starting point is 00:42:02 and they're getting a left audience I definitely see that happening I definitely see that happening probably not not him yet I wasn't talking about Patrick but it is true But what I'm getting at is I'm trying to distinguish maybe my politics from another person on the right in some way, either to the center side of me or to the further right side of me.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Either way. And they don't see any difference, Dan, is the point. There's no difference. I didn't when I first started with you. I learned. You know? You didn't see the difference between me and name your other person on the right. Like Tucker.
Starting point is 00:42:44 I don't know. or Jesse, I don't know. I guess you're not that. Yeah. Well, and so my point is, like, you say, can I, should I just go all the way right? I'm sad to tell you that, that you already are.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Yeah. To them. Right. You don't see the difference between a neo-conservative, okay? Or Anna Tucker, or a neol-conservative and a, you know, libertarian like Dave Smith or, you know, any of these. Right. It's all right.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Or like an Adam Cirola. Or an Adam Cirola. Yep, there you go. Look at Adam Ciro. That's a great one. Adam Coraola and Ben Shapiro. They see no difference between Adam Ciro and Ben Shapiro. And there is a big difference.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Adam Crolla is still very much the same as he was in 1990 versus today. But they shifted away from him. Let's take a quick break, but we'll be right back on Will Cain country. But just like they don't see the differences. Or Bill Maher. I think Bill Maher's in the same boat. like he's getting there. He's not there yet, but I think he's close to being in their minds indistinguishable from me.
Starting point is 00:43:57 I feel like I'm on a Bill Maher journey now. Yes. You're probably right where Belmar is. Yeah. And they offer nothing to. That's the problem. The left offers nothing. It all comes down to, I'm just going to sit here and wait until someone says something that I disagree with and I'm going to yell at them.
Starting point is 00:44:16 That's it. No, I will say, well, it's exhausting. It is a fascist attack on my eyes, the shirt you're wearing right now. I've noticed, it's tripping me out, dude. It's moray. It's tripping me out. I know. It's that's called moraying in TV, right?
Starting point is 00:44:33 Is it doing that thing where it moves? Yeah, I'm my screen. Yeah. Yeah, I apologize for everybody watching on Fox 1 on YouTube. You don't play some 18 holes or what's going on? I do look like I'm about to golf, don't I? I told you. Speaking of a.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Speaking of a path, one is traveling. I am traveling that path, right? And so Brent Seriano, our good friend, and I'll be forever, you know, endeared to Brent because met him in person at the New York City Navy SEAL swim. He showed up, signed up on his own, did that, brought his wife and son. And he's just a member of the Williscia. I never met him in another occasion. He heard us talking about loafers, and he sent me this picture. He said, here it is Will Kane, is your easy transition to loafers.
Starting point is 00:45:21 And he says they're Tukovas. I've seen this style. There's a couple of brands that do this style. And for those listening on podcasts, how do I describe this? Dan, you'd be the guy to describe it. They're leather. They're like moccasins. No, they're not.
Starting point is 00:45:35 No, because they have a soul. They're not moccasins. They have a definite soul. They're called something. They're more structured than a moccasin for sure. It's like a loafer without any of the, accoutrements on top. None of the, it's just smooth leather like a, like a boot.
Starting point is 00:45:52 I think, right? I think if you, it's like if you took a boot and then, but made it a loafer. Yeah, that's fair, Patrick. Yeah, like a Chelsea boot. You cut it. Yeah. That you cut down into below your ankle and up halfway up your foot. It's got like a little bit of a tongue that sticks out further than another part of the shoe.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Yeah. There's a name for it. This one hits my, this one, look it up, Dan. This is, hits my algorithm. There's a brand that does these that hits my algorithm a lot, and I'm not going to remember the name of the brand. But these are Tchaikovus. Now, here's my thoughts, okay? Really?
Starting point is 00:46:26 And do you guys have things? I only get, like, every third post I get are only fans accounts, so I don't know what you're talking about. Pull up your Instagram and show me your search page. Yeah, for you, page. We're not doing that. No, I'm joking. Who was it? It was El Saeed said that?
Starting point is 00:46:45 Oh, he did say that. He said, El-Said said, he was talking about X, though, wasn't he? He was talking about his algorithm. And he was talking about how bad the algorithm is and kind of going after Elon. He said every third post for me is, did you say only fans? What do you say? He said only fans. And everybody's like, dude, the algorithm is tailored to you.
Starting point is 00:47:06 That's not about Elon. That's about you. You've curated that, buddy. Of all, yeah. Okay. I don't know if you guys have. Venetian style. To Brent's...
Starting point is 00:47:18 That's it, sorry. Venetian style. Venetian style. That's what it is called. Here we go. I think it's the truth on the show. Okay, so here's what I'd say to Brent. He's got a picture of his jeans and his feet with these shoes on.
Starting point is 00:47:32 It looks good. It's a good look. I think so. I'm not offended by that look. I don't think it's that effeminate. It's... I couldn't say all the way. but it's usually not a heel
Starting point is 00:47:49 it's a classy good look and it looks almost like maybe Italian you know like you're wearing a linen shirt or from Venice that's where it comes from Venetian yeah but
Starting point is 00:48:04 it's it's the kind of thing that I would see on somebody and be like that's a pretty good look should I do that look but ultimately I would say I don't think I can do that look do that look do you know what I mean? Like that's where that is, I think, for me.
Starting point is 00:48:20 That is the grown-up slip-on vans, I feel like. It works. It's still cool. It's alternative. It's not the regular loafer. It works really well. I think you pulled off. It's still manly.
Starting point is 00:48:32 I feel like Bert Reynolds wore those shoes or a Sean Connery. No, get that out of your mouth. Bert Reynolds would never. Yes, he would. I think Bert Reynolds would. Yeah. I think Bert Reynolds would. With his short shorts and mustache.
Starting point is 00:48:42 And you wouldn't dock him a single man point. Yep. But yet if I did, you would, why is that? If I did, you for sure would. Is it because I don't have the mustache? Is it because I'm not Bert Reynolds? You didn't go to Forrestate. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Yeah. It's possible. That's my point. I feel like some dudes could wear this. Now, when you put this on... That's what you wear with it. You need to be... You need to say, you need to be careful.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Yeah. Once you put this on, everything else has to be pretty calculated. Otherwise, you have become... come fancy boy. So the question is, can you wear these without being fancy boy? Do you get it, right? Yeah. Yes. Like if you do this, let me get it too much. You have to really style it out. If you've got a bracelet on with this, you are in trouble. You've got to, you've got to, you've got to, you've got to balance this. A pinky ring's aggressive. A pinky ring is, that, that, you're That is the realm of mystery.
Starting point is 00:49:50 No, nobody wears a pinker. It's Italian. Nobody. Really? Like a cigarette ring? That's New Jersey. Okay. That's New Jersey and Matthew McConaughey.
Starting point is 00:50:00 What would you wear with this? Say you got these and you went into your closet, those exact shoes. What would you put on with that? You couldn't wear that. I think he's doing it right with some jeans. You couldn't wear that golf shirt. I'll tell you that. Oh, oh, you mean on top?
Starting point is 00:50:14 Well, you wear jeans or khakis with it. That's what you wear. on bottom and shorts. Right? Boy, I don't know. You can't.
Starting point is 00:50:22 I promise you. You can't. You better be near, you better be near water if you're wearing those are shorts. Cacky shorts and linen shirt and those is a great look.
Starting point is 00:50:37 No, dude. I don't know. I'm telling you right now. This is New York coming out of me. It's my wife, my wife, the stylist, is coming out of me. Dan, I think the answer
Starting point is 00:50:46 is a button down. A light. button down. I think you're right this golf shirt like a, these are called like I have a bunch of these now. This is a new addition to my wardrobe since I've moved to Texas. These these like stretchier golf shirt. Don't have to
Starting point is 00:51:00 think about it. Southern. Is that what this comes off? Don't have to think about it. Don't have to think about it. You just buy it and you buy different colors and then you're done. It's not bad look, right? No, it's not bad. You have five different colors for the week. If you want to fit it with everybody else, it's
Starting point is 00:51:16 fine. Don't worry about it. This is, this is, right. Lou is Monday. Generic middle-aged white guy. Look, as it is. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:24 You can do a lot of things wearing that shirt. Okay. This could be horrific radio. All right, let's go through it. So not a golf shirt with those shoes you're saying. How about a t-shirt? Ooh, questionable.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Does it have anything on it or is it plain? What about a plain white t-shirt? Plain white t-shirt shorts, yes. can't do it with and khakis, no jeans, can't do a jeans, can't do a jeans, and a t-shirt. Somebody was told me plain white t-shirts are only undershirts, and I disagreed with that.
Starting point is 00:51:59 That's false. I think a good plain white tea is good. Yeah, it's false. That's James Dean. Yeah. That's Marlon Brando. What are you talking about? Yeah. That's Bruce Springsteen. Okay, so if it's not a golf shirt... It has to be like full-sleeved.
Starting point is 00:52:17 So you have to wear a dress shirt with jeans in those, first of all. I think that's right. Yeah. Something has to be a little elevated than casual. That's either the shirt or the pants. Yeah. God, listen to me. Who am I? I am a liberal.
Starting point is 00:52:32 You haven't changed at all. Yeah. I don't know, Brent. I'm sure it's sure it's going to hit my algorithm now. Looks good on you, though. Yeah. It's a good look. Shout out to Kovas. All right, before we go, you guys set this up for me. are some vigilante superheroes.
Starting point is 00:52:55 Yeah. Where? In Seattle? Seattle, Oakland, and Portland have their own different... Really? Yeah. It's becoming a thing. I started to see one online, and then I saw another one.
Starting point is 00:53:08 And then I saw a group of them. And it's becoming like this thing. And there's a lot of likes and a lot of views, and it's fascinating. All right. Play me Red Ranger. Okay. This is the big one. This is the main.
Starting point is 00:53:21 One. what is he doing on the streets? Anything? Nothing? So he'll show up to like, there'll be a shooting. There was a shooting recently in Seattle, and he like showed up
Starting point is 00:54:02 and tried to offer his help to the police. Not kidding. So it's all performative. He's not actually doing anything. He's trying to, but he's not. They'll hand out water to people, to homeless people and all these things,
Starting point is 00:54:17 but they want to fight crime. But this is a fetish. Well, he's got to, Because they're wearing fetish masks. He's got a P. Oh, that's what I'm wondering, Patrick. He's got a peace symbol on his shield. So, like, is this a lefty thing?
Starting point is 00:54:31 That's definitely a lefty thing. Yeah. Oh, it's not Batman. No, it's like a lefty, like, they want to stop crime, but only the right crime, you know. What kind of crime? I don't know. Like, I feel like they wouldn't go after, like,
Starting point is 00:54:48 junkies and try to get them off the street or help ice. you know that definitely wouldn't happen but they want to just be around for the community in case like there's a robber or someone's intimidating someone or there's a street fight it's all performative but they are serious it's not just satire I thought it was satire at first but it's not
Starting point is 00:55:07 but yeah they're definitely doing all the lefty talking points so like they bring was it Narcan? They bring they have Narcan with them and that kind of thing yeah yeah so like okay I got I got something on this. This is, okay, but first, play me Crimson Fist. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:26 What's up, everybody, with me, Crimson Fist of Bay Area Superheroes. I'm just done here in downtown Oakland, the night and safety patrol during first Friday. I'm going to be mostly sticking to the street festival area as well as like the surrounding neighborhood. So if you're in the area and you need help with something, feel free to hit me up. My DMs are open. I've got all sorts of first aid supplies and Narcan and all that sorts of stuff to help out. So hit me up if you need me. See you in the streets. See you in the streets.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Okay, that one's a little more explanatory, though. So what? Somebody's O-Ding and I call Crimson Fist, I DM Crimson Fist instead of calling the police? Apparently. And I think they would like go to a protest and probably help out like the protesters and not anybody else.
Starting point is 00:56:07 You know what I mean? Like they're protecting a certain... Okay, well... The great thing about the Crimson Fist's name is they can also just go to a pride parade after and it matches. Yeah. But here's my thing.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Here's what I really want to know. Like, how far are we from, do you think in our lifetime, now that everything has gotten so absurd, it really has, do you see a world where we actually do have vigilante superheroes? Now, when I say superhero, let's take out the concept of, you know, superhuman powers and all that stuff. Like a Batman type figure. Like a legit, I am going to, if we're going to defund the police or we're going to do this or we're going to. this or we're going to stop prosecuting this crime. You know what I mean? We're going to start letting these guys out. I do wonder, you know, a wonder if in our lifetime we could have some real-life version of Batman, guys taking out drug dealers, guys taking out, you know,
Starting point is 00:57:10 child sex predators, that kind of thing, in a real vigilante way, not like, not like Chris Hansen, You know, there's some guys on the internet that always go after the... I see the videos of the guys going after the guys who DM young girls. Right. But I'm talking about, like, more I'm taking justice into my own hands, not just exposing people. Well, there was a movie that was just released relatively recently that made a lot of waves because it was banned in Germany and everything. It's called Citizen Vigilante, and it started Army Hammer. And it's literally about a vigilante who goes after...
Starting point is 00:57:47 all of the anarcho tyranny in the West in this area. And it's like, I think you're going to see a lot more of that. They won't be wearing masks. But I could see like a former black ops team, like trying to take people down and starting a group or doing individual things like that. You know what I'm saying? Like, I could see that happening. Not in the general sense of dressing up. Isn't that, if that happens.
Starting point is 00:58:12 And I think that there's a chance in our lifetime we do see something like that. But instead of thinking of it in terms of superhero vigilantes, the way that sort of spirals is it becomes not civil war, but sectarian type violence, right? If you had a guy or a group of guys who are like, I'm going to do these things, then what would happen is the people they're doing it to, depending on who they are, they would organize some type of resistance to it. Do you see what I'm saying? And then you'd have that would spiral into this like, you know, whatever, sectarian violence. It would no longer appear as vigilante. It wouldn't be that anymore. But that's why you have second and third world.
Starting point is 00:59:00 Here's the perfect example. In Mexico, they did that, right? A group of vigilantes set up in a town. And I think that the original name was the Knights, it was like a Knights Templar type thing, to fight against. the drug cartels and to protect the town from the drug cartels. But they ultimately ended up in warfare to the extent that those guys became a drug cartel themselves. You know what I mean? They had acquired power.
Starting point is 00:59:27 They fought them. They took over what they did. And they became one of the biggest cartels. Money. You can't do it for altruism. I mean, money breaks you. It's Batman takes over the rackets. It isn't Batman gets rid of the.
Starting point is 00:59:45 Yeah, because he sees all the cash in front of him when he takes something down and then he says, hey, I want that. This is why we have to fix, you know, multi-tier justice system that we have. In a way, if you don't get true justice and you start to see different outcomes and of things where one person can get away with murder and just to clear themselves insane or whatever it is, or somebody commits murder or assault and they get out with a slap on the wrist, it incentivizes people to do those things and it creates like that second and third world law and order. There's that guy.
Starting point is 01:00:22 And that's something we don't want. There's that guy walking around punching women the other day who was arrested like 11 times. And he's just crazy. But now he just keeps getting out and keeps getting out. Imagine if someone just said in that community, hey, I'm going to stop this person. Right.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Yeah, this is enough. Right. Like we shouldn't have to worry about that person. It shows the value of the cops. Like as an institution, like that's like a, the alternatives are way worse, right? Whatever flaws you might see in policing, the alternatives are really, really bad. But the people have to be tried. It's chaos.
Starting point is 01:01:01 But they have to be tried and they have to be prosecuted and they have to the fullest extent. They can't just get a slap on the wrist and put back into the streets. And that's what we're seeing more and more of and that's why people are getting fed up. I mean, think about the guy who. who killed the girl on the train, right? He shouldn't have been on the train. It does sound kind of fun, though. It does sound kind of fun, though.
Starting point is 01:01:21 A bunch of fed up Navy SEALs who are like, screw it. Right. Exactly. Like MS-13's in Long Island or something, and they just are like enough. We're going to take care of this. That would be great. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
