Starting point is 00:00:00 Afrikaners, land confiscation, genocide, why what's happening in South Africa matters to the United States of America. Two, Generation T, a future being built, restructured, reshaped, and reimagined for America under Generation T with Nick Adams. Three, a League of Miracles shines the light on your poor little Dallas Mavericks, 1.8% chance. And yet, the NBA Draft lotto awards him, Cooper Flagg. Starting point is 00:01:13 And if you're listening on Terrestrial radio, but it doesn't fit your schedule five days a week, head on over to Spotify. or Apple, hit subscribe and become a member of the Wallitia, where today we celebrate a miracle, corruption, insanity, rigged the NBA draft awards the Dallas Mavericks the number one overall pick in the NBA draft. And I am here for it. I'm happy for you. I called it. I predicted it.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I pleaded for it, and Miracle of Miracles with a 1.8% chance, it looks like Cooper Flag will be a Dallas Maverick. We'll not hold our breath. We'll not rest easy. We'll not sleep easy because Nico Harrison is still in charge to Dallas Mavericks. And it's possible he could trade the rights to Cooper Flag for a 32-year-old role-playing defender and a bag of stale peanuts to the Los Angeles Lakers. We'll have to wait and see. But for now, it looks. like there's hope. And I introduced several questions to my audience. Would you really, actually, would you consider trading Cooper Flag the overwhelming number one pick in the NBA draft, a franchise cornerstone for, say, the Milwaukee Bucks, Janus Antecoompo? Or would you trade Cooper Flag
Starting point is 00:02:39 to the Los Angeles Lakers for Luca Donchage? We're going to get into the corruption. We're going to get into the miracle. We're going to get into what it all means for the NBA and the Dallas Mavericks and the trade of Luca Donchitz coming up today in story number three. We have a fun interview today with the author of a brand new book from Mar-Lago to Mars, President Trump's great American comeback. Nick Adams joins us on the Will Cain show. But amidst all this glee and this glory, amidst all this fun, I can't wait to get to, let's deal with some serious issues. Let's deal with story number one. President Trump has granted refugee status to 59 South Africaners to relocate to the United States of America.
Starting point is 00:03:27 In President Trump's words, because of and due to racial discrimination, land confiscation, and genocide. Here is President Trump. Now, South Africa leadership is coming to see me. I understand sometime next week. And, you know, we're supposed to have a, I guess, a G20. meeting there or something, but we're having a G20 meeting. I don't know how we can go unless that situation's taken care of, but it's a genocide that's taking place that you people don't want to write about, but it's a terrible thing that's taking place, and farmers are
Starting point is 00:04:02 being killed. They happen to be white, but whether they're white or black, makes no difference to me, but white farmers are being brutally killed, and their land is being confiscated in South Africa and the newspapers and the media, television media, doesn't even talk about it. A genocide that you people don't want to talk about. A terrible thing happening to Afrikaners in South Africa. Why does that matter for the United States of America? Let's talk a minute about and not take for granted that people know and understand Afrikaners or South Africa. A little bit of history. South Africa was colonized. not first by the British, but by Dutch, German, Huguenot, French descendants, Afrikaners,
Starting point is 00:04:53 then known as Boers, who settled much of South Africa in the 16 and 1700s. They came in with a rugged individualism, a spirit of adventure, not unlike early American settlers. They largely ended up farmers. They moved into the interior during what was called the Great Trek after British colonialism. a clash of ideas, a clash of civilizations, a clash of identity. They speak an offshoot of Dutch. And many famous people that you know today are descendants of Afrikaner, like Charlize Theron, the actress. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a Rhodesian, but connected to Afrikaners, in Blood Diamond,
Starting point is 00:05:39 the movie about the diamond industry in Africa. The Afrikaners did arrive at political prominence in South Africa. They were one of the groups that largely ushered in and maintained the system of apartheid. There was racism. There was violence towards indigenous population. But of course, in the 1990s, the political landscape in South Africa shifted. Nelson Mandela's rise meant the end of apartheid. Afrikaners, having acquired a great amount of wealth and a great amount of land throughout
Starting point is 00:06:11 South Africa became a bit of a target. There have been accusations over the last dozen years more of racial retribution, stories of land confiscation, stories of violence against rural farmers. In South Africa, like in most places, this type of racial grievance is always cloaked in flowery language.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Instead of land confiscation or genocide, if you went to AI and asked, hey, what's happening in South Africa, it would say it's all overstated. This is where we need to analyze AI, because it buys into semantics and it buys into popular consensus. And popular consensus uses semantics to say, hey, what's happening in South Africa
Starting point is 00:06:52 is land reform. Well, doesn't that sound nice? Land reform. What is land reform in South Africa? Well, here's some more flowery language, but you can read between the lines. You can use critical thinking. Key components. Restitution. Returning land or providing compensation to people
Starting point is 00:07:10 who were forcibly removed from their land under apartheid. Okay. Returning it how? By taking it from who? With what kind of compensation? Redistribution, transferring land from white owners to black South Africans
Starting point is 00:07:25 to promote equality. Initially, this was done through a willing buyer, willing seller model. Hmm. Why would you need a government policy if it's a willing buyer and willing seller? Ten-year reform, improving legal rights and security for people living on land without formal ownership.
Starting point is 00:07:40 So squatters who come in or adverse possession take control of the land. Want some specifics. In January 2025, South Africa passed the Expropriation Act, which allows government to take private property for public use, including land reform with or without compensation in specific limited circumstances. Expropriation without compensation is only allowed when land is unused abandoned or its value is less than state investment, among other specific cases.
Starting point is 00:08:08 The law does not allow arbitrary seizures and aims to balance land reform with legal safeguards for owners. That's all flowery language. It's like the trans conversation we had yesterday. It's an end in search of a justification. It's a rationale layered on top of an injustice. Oh, how much testosterone have you had your hormones reduced by?
Starting point is 00:08:30 How long have you been on hormone replacement therapy? Oh, you're a woman. Twelve months? Cool. Go beat up on some girls. oh here is a legal process where we will evaluate the state investment versus the current value oh here is a little bit of compensation and we're going to call this land reform but we're taking land from landowners now you can always play the rotten fruit of a poison tree
Starting point is 00:08:57 of course at some point there was racial injustice dating back 100 200 300 years that game can be played in america as well it can be played in america as well can be played anywhere because the history of the world is a history of tribes conquesting one another you come in you can say okay is this conquest they'll then own it be honest is that what's happening it's it's reverse conquest in which case yes 59 refugees would have a home in the united states of america and also would make you think if conquest is actually what's happening there would be some private enterprise that have interest humanitarian causes you know like for example the episcopal church But no, that's not the position of the Episcopal Church.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Here's an NBC headline. Take a look at this. Episcopal Church says it won't help resettle white South Africans granted refugee status in the United States. In it, a bishop is quoted as saying the following. The bishop says, in light of our church's steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of South Africa, we're not able to take this step. accordingly we have determined that by the end of the federal fiscal year we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the u.s federal government so the episcopal church can see within their heart and faith and commitment to god to resettle refugees from i don't know what afghanistan venezuela but not white farmers in the most honest approximation being subjected to conquest in south africa why well because we're dedicated to to equitable racial grievances.
Starting point is 00:10:37 What does that mean? You help people, every people but white people? White people are unworthy of your help? This is an embarrassment, an absolute embarrassment for the Episcopal Church. And here's now why we transitioned into why this whole thing in South Africa matters for America. Because inside the Episcopal Church
Starting point is 00:10:56 and inside the dressing we've talked about, meaning the rationalization layered on top of injustice, justice, you see exactly the arguments and policies that were beginning to be implemented in the United States. Oh, Will, but we're talking about. There's no racial violence. There's no land confiscation. It's all.
Starting point is 00:11:17 It's all. Morally and linguistically, the same as DEI, diversity, equity, and inclusion, making up for past injustices with current injustices. everything you saw from college admissions to courses that you have to take, erasing history, treating races differently, and thinking it's justified because it's been done so in the past, just reverse. What we're talking about is the moral justification and the government policy of reverse discrimination, reverse racism. And President Trump is absolutely correct.
Starting point is 00:11:59 The media has no interest in that story. They didn't have an interest in here in the United States. You know, even when they do cover the concept of DEI and everyone that's at home, we always talk about it in terms of merit. And it's true. Like, we can't divorce ourselves from merit. Key to American exceptionalism. Not exclusively key, but key to American exceptionalism. But it's not just about merit.
Starting point is 00:12:19 It's about morality. It's about whether or not you really are a society where you want to judge people as individuals. Or we're doing what we've done all throughout humanity. tribalism often on superficial levels like the color of your skin but cool one direction and uncool the other direction it's okay if it's an aggrieved minority but that's not the case in south africa you're talking about a majority so what is the tie that binds what is the north star if there is one that guides all this anti-western civilization anti-white what is it you see what we saw here here was the seeds the beginning and if we had continued down that path if we hadn't seen not just the election of don't trump but the vibe shift the great awakening from the woke we were headed down this path and we may yet still be because this fight is not over to go down this immoral path will inevitably end you in a place where they're not yet arrived in south africa but
Starting point is 00:13:22 they're well on their way and that path as all tribalism and racialism has always led to ultimately is a path of grotesque violence, not little violence. Grotesque, genocidal violence. And shame on a church, and shame on a government, and shame on a politician that thinks you can dress that up in flowery semantics like land reform or DEI. Nick Adams has a new book out called From Mar-A-Lago to Mars. We want to talk to him about what he sees. has a shift in the future of America, thanks to Generation T. And what do they say about why this is their cause it is the will cane show streaming live at foxnews.com on the fox news youtube channel on the fox news facebook page hit subscribe at apple or on spotify jump into
Starting point is 00:15:06 the comments section and you will hang out with us like as is nick adams the author of a new book mara lago to mars the comeback president trump's great american comeback what's up nick charles williams cane it is always a pleasure great to be back with you It's great to have you. I love that. I love that he knows my full name and addresses me formally. That is a sharp fuchsia jacket that you have chosen to wear today. And by the way, while we're not always talking about alpha male anymore, I would have to say it either takes a great alpha male or it is just simply not alpha male to be rock in fuchsia. Well, I'm just trying to keep up with you, Will Kane. You set the bar and I just simply follow the bar. well i don't know when i wore a fuchsia jacket but uh it's not really in my it's not in my rotation but that's fine i think he looked pretty good i would like to think i'm a man i'm a man of
Starting point is 00:16:07 great confidence great confidence could do it i could do it and i and i and i tip my hat to you today with that level of confidence let's start before we get from marlago to mars nick let's talk a little about um uh the news cycle and what's happening today in new jersey Alexis macadams i think does a really good job. I've watched her over time grow as a reporter at Fox, and she does a great job of interacting with protesters and talking to them. And there she was yesterday in New Jersey. And she went up to him, man. They're singing, you know. They were pushing and shoving on Friday and getting arrested. And today they're singing. And she said, hey, what's with the song? Here's with, here's Alexis McAdams.
Starting point is 00:16:45 DHS has said that inside or MS-13 gang members and people convicted of child rape and also murder in other countries. So the question that they would have for protesters is, what are you guys doing out here? One of the things that we are asking for is for a list of the names of the people who are inside. As a person of God, it's important for me to pray for people who are being held captive, and I would like the opportunity to do that with their names. I think we have every right and responsibility as citizens to hold people accountable when they have caused harm in our country, but one of the truths is that we don't know who's inside. And we also have every right to understand that. So she says, and she acts like, these are secret prisons with people
Starting point is 00:17:32 not knowing why they're held and their families having to think they disappeared. They really do believe they're living out the Handmaid's Tale. Well, I'm not quite sure what she's taking, and I'm not quite sure that I would like to take it. She doesn't. really appear to know what she's talking about. She does appear to be in some kind of fantasy land. And it's one that everyday ordinary regular Americans definitely do not want to be living in. Look, without borders, Will, we don't have a country. That's the reality. We now finally have a president that has the guts, the competence, the courage, the conviction to stop all of that stuff. That's why border crossings.
Starting point is 00:18:19 are down 95%. That's why our country is much safer and it's only been 100 days. And let's hope that it's only going to continue because what we need is Americans to feel relaxed and comfortable, that their country is secure, that their children are going to be safe and that we can go along and with our lives in a great way. Yeah. And it's incredible. incredibly popular. To your point, border crossings down 95% and it's time to deport the bad guys. Simply, the bad guys. AOC, by the way, Nick thinks there's a different set of bad guys. Here is AOC. If anyone's breaking the law in this situation, it's not members of Congress. It's the Department of Homeland Security. It's people like Tom Homan and Secretary Kristy Knoem.
Starting point is 00:19:12 You lay a finger on someone on Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman, on Representative Bonnie Watson, Coleman, on representative or any of the representatives that were there you lay a finger on them we are going to have a problem so that's your that might be your leading presidential candidate from the left from democrats um did you see the video from friday nick congresswoman la monica ivor for one she seemed to be doing the initiation of physical contact with members of dhs i sure saw it and look obstructing law enforcement will is a very serious matter. And if we had truly equal justice, those insurrectionists on Friday would be arrested and thrown into jail. Democrat DAs are not willing to take up these matters and it is a big, big shame and it's got to change.
Starting point is 00:20:09 What we saw on Friday was absolutely disgraceful for AOC to be out there. They're promoting the fact, almost threatening, to be quite honest with you, is just beyond the pale. Speaking of that popularity, let's take a moment and let's interweave into our conversation, which you've written about from Mar-Lago to Mars. You've popularized and you've forwarded this idea that President Trump, as we have talked about extensively here, hasn't just reimagined a Republican Party, but a new era for America. And you talk about it being led by Generation T. What is Generation T?
Starting point is 00:20:51 Generation T is Generation Trump. We've heard of Generation Z. We've heard of Generation X, Millennials. Generation T is a group of people will that have really come to be formed in the last decade that Donald Trump has entered political life. and they have seen his courage, they have seen his testosterone, they have seen his devotion to them, his willingness to sacrifice always for the American people. And so you now have a generation that understand this man, understand the virtues associated with him, and they try and apply the same principles and virtues that they have seen
Starting point is 00:21:44 President Trump embody and exemplify over the last few years and apply it to their own life. So I wrote this book, Will, because what I really wanted to do was provide a manual on how to win on the battleground, on the battlefield of life, because we can learn so much from Donald Trump, from all the adversity that he didn't just survive, but he thrived despite of it. we're talking about someone will that was censored de-platformed they tried to bankrupt him he was impeached twice arrested sued indicted and throughout it all he never once took a backward step never compromised a single solitary inch in one word it's courage connected to devotion connected to sacrifice none of this ever remotely even deterred him from his willingness to fight for the ordinary American
Starting point is 00:22:49 people that had been abandoned by America's political elite. So Generation T is a generation that has seen, observed, watched, and as a result, really been formed by President Trump. You know, I'm sitting here listening to your answer and I was going to ask you what those virtues were you ended up laying them out courage and devotion and i think to myself as i often do what would somebody that disagrees with you say and i know what they would say because they've been saying it for well over a decade and that they would say that president trump is driven by ego and narcissism that he is driven out of his own personal gain whatever that may be if it's pecuniary it's pecuniary, if it's ego, it's ego.
Starting point is 00:23:38 But I would have to say, if we were to steal man that proposition, if we were to say, okay, it is those things that drives Donald Trump, well, that would still make him a massive outlier because most of the narcissists that we can point to generally do not have a level of resilience and dedication over a period of time to match what we just saw from Donald Trump. So whether or not that's Andrew Cuomo or Gavin Newsom or any other politicians that you would say display an obvious level of narcissism, right? The first or second or third controversy that confronts them shrinks them, either in the public eye or in their own internal fortitude.
Starting point is 00:24:20 And that hasn't happened with Donald Trump. In fact, it has reinvigorated his sense of purpose. And all I would say then is it would make you step back for a second and go, well then maybe it's something more than narcissism you know because no other narcissist has even been able to to manage this level i mean even if you hate don't trump you have to say this level of adversity and and therefore if that's the case if it's a historically doesn't have a marker to compare maybe it's something deeper that motivates him maybe it is devotion well i don't know many narcissists that would be willing to
Starting point is 00:25:02 spend time in jail. I don't know many narcissists that would be struck by a bullet and then leap to their feet and carry on. This is a man that has given his life. Well, he could be with you and me on a Greek island, sipping Uzo, being fed grapes by some scantily clad lady, having a great time. That's what he could be doing. But instead, he's got the money, he's got all the accomplishments, he's got it all. But instead, he decided that he would leave his business empire behind. He decided that he would leave his career as a beloved entertainer behind. He decided he'd leave a good and happy life behind to push back against the decline that many felt was inevitable. he first said, make America great again. Will, he was doing the opposite of what most politicians
Starting point is 00:26:06 do. He was telling us the truth. He saw that we were losing that which made us great. And he didn't just set about to restore America's national greatness, which would have been epic enough. What he decided to do was make America greater than it had ever been before. No man in modern history has been through as much adversity as Donald Trump. And yet every single time, every setback became a set up for a comeback. He would get stronger and stronger. And that's not narcissism. That's not ego. That's passion. That's courage. That's devotion. That's sacrifice. And to your point, it's at a point in life when most people slow down. When most people choose the easy life and we don't begrudge them that because life is physically harder at age 78 or 80 than
Starting point is 00:27:06 it is at age 35 or 45 and we saw that exact thing happening with the previous president slowing down this is from nick a new book original sin by jake tapper and i believe it is Alex thompson um and here's a pull quote from original sin Biden's physical deterioration most apparent in his halting walk had become so severe that there were internal discussions about putting the president in a wheelchair, but they couldn't do so until after the election. Given Biden's age, his physician also privately said that if he had another bad fall, a wheelchair might be necessary for what could be a difficult recovery. That all was, of course, hidden from Americans. That was covered up by the media and we were on the verge of a president and not that it's disqualifying we had fDR but it's
Starting point is 00:28:01 relevant to Americans to know we had a president on the verge of a wheelchair well that revelation in the book will for anybody that's had eyes and ears over the last four years will not come as a surprise i mean it was very clear the the real sin is that the media jake tapper included never, ever reported on what was so obvious to all of us. And in fact, whenever it was raised, they would all insist that we were being unfair and partisan and wrong and nasty and cruel. But you're right, it was a very relevant fact.
Starting point is 00:28:44 President Biden didn't have the physical or cognitive abilities in order to remain president. Why he wanted to continue is beyond me, had something more to do, I think, with Jill Biden than perhaps him, because she also needs to take the blame here for not doing something given that she would have clearly known what Joe Biden's real state was. So the media and Jill Biden and the Democrats, they really have so much to answer for here. Thankfully, it's all in the rearview mirror now because of the 2024 for landslide that returned President Trump to the White House.
Starting point is 00:29:25 But it was a very disgraceful set of behaviors that were exhibited by this lot. I'm Janisteen. Starting point is 00:30:07 Stephen A. Smith has noticed the rise of Jasmine Crockett, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. And this is what he has to say about the new star of the left. I've listened to Jasmine Crockett. Both AOC and Jasmine Crockett are welcomed on this show. I respect the hell out of both of them. I'm not here to disrespect anybody. I'm only talking about what strategy is going to work. When I hear Jasmine Crockett talking about how I'm just against all things and everything, Trump,
Starting point is 00:30:37 is that legislating? Isn't it an obligation that you have to come up with something? If the other party is in office, you have to go, from thinking that you're going to get what you want if your party was in the White House and instead transitioning to how can I work with the other party to get some of what I want because I know I'm not going to get most of what I want because they won the election. Now that is a man that would wear a fuchsia suit, Nick. And he's almost as good looking as me.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Will, look, I agree with President Trump. Stephen A. Smith is a smart man, and he perhaps is too good for the, to enter the Democrat primary, which will be a den of vipers. I mean, the Democrats love to rig everything, and particularly against one of their own, maybe Stephen A. Smith would be better off running as a Republican. You know, it's a great point, not about Stephen A. running as a Republican. He's not, never trust that he would be. I've been around the guy. We're friends. I've debated him. he's not a republican he's just like bill mar right now he's just not insane so he's capable of insight and just because you're capable of insight does mean doesn't mean you have the right politics policies or party but that being said um you're so right about the democratic primary being an absolute den of vipers and they they've always rigged it most notably against their own party right now i just don't know
Starting point is 00:32:12 who they'd rig it for like i just don't know we'll wait because there'll be some you know jasmine crock it might be right that like the left wants some safe white guy so they may rig it for that's what she said recently um who is it senator from colorado maybe michael bennett or somebody like that that you know it can't and it won't and it's not possible for it to be jasmine crockett not there's been any talk of her running for president or for that matter even aOC it can't it won't maybe jasmine crocett's right it'll be a safe white guy they'll rig it yeah look i mean you certainly the smart money right now would be that they will embark on that particular election strategy. Jasmine Crockett is a particularly vile kind of person. AOC is not much better. But, you know,
Starting point is 00:33:04 I'm pretty sure that AOC is going to run. And if they didn't rig it, to be honest with you, will, I think AOC might even win a Democrat primary. So it's all ahead of us. Let's see what's going to happen. America, though, should be on. its knees praying that we never see the likes of an AOC, Jasmine Crockett, or Michael Bennett, for that matter, in the Oval Office. Speaking of rigged, Nick's sports commentator from time to time. You have anything to say about my Dallas Mavericks getting the number one overall pick in a clear rig job?
Starting point is 00:33:39 By the way, I want to give, I'm going to talk about this more in a moment. Give the NBA a little bit of something here. I don't know how you rig the lotto. We watched it. There's actually clips. You can see how the lot of works. It's a combination of numbers thing. It's pretty fascinating.
Starting point is 00:33:52 But come on. 1.8% chance. Trade Luca, get Cooper Flagg. And by the way, is it written in the stones? The biblical and historical stones, the Dallas Mavericks, must have a white NBA star. The Dallas Mavericks.
Starting point is 00:34:11 What a team. What a team, Wilcane, from what a state. Of course you support the Dallas Mavericks. Look, I just think it's very fitting that in America's golden age, under President Trump, with the great leadership, with his vice president, J.D. Vance, we have someone with the last name flag with an extra G just to kind of drive home the point. And that's all I have to say on the matter. Okay, that's good.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Okay, one more as we talk about the future of the left. This sounds like something Nick Adams' alpha male would like a lot, or at least acknowledge the truth behind. And that is DNC vice chair. David Hogg on Bill Maher. Many Democrats, despite us, I would say for most of us, coming from the right place of wanting to do the right thing. We've created a culture where we say, well, if you say the wrong thing, you're excommunicated. And that's just not how human beings work. Nobody is perfect. But ultimately, what we have to do here is figure out how to bring people back in and work towards the bigger goal
Starting point is 00:35:14 of advancing the future of this country and helping young people especially get by so that they're able to focus on their lives and getting with a young woman or something like that instead of how are they going to pay their rent, for example, or how are they working their two jobs? Young people should be able to focus on what young people should be focused on,
Starting point is 00:35:30 which is how to get laid and how to go and have fun. David Hodge for president, ladies and gentlemen. Boy, the crowd of Bill Maher liked that. Go ahead, Nick. Will, will, will. I think David Hogg is projecting his own personal wish here. He's had a charisma bypass, so I can't imagine that the ladies are lining up in any sort of fashion for him.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Look, what do I tell you? What he's saying if he had to worry less about a mortgage and more attention could be given to getting laid, that he might be more successful, as would be his compatriots. Yeah, look, I think David Hogg is somebody that I don't take very seriously. I kind of put him with the Jasmine Crockett type, Will, and like I say, David Hogg is someone that is trying to show some personality, perhaps because he knows that he's about as vanilla as it gets.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Okay, okay, lastly, I want to go back to Mar-a-Lago to Mars. President Trump's great American comeback. So you forward that this group of people that's been reshaped by President Trump, this Generation T, which I took to mean Generation Trump, but as you alluded to earlier, perhaps it's also Generation Testosterone. But you have forwarded that this is a new epic in America, not a new political movement, not a new reimagining of the Republican Party, but an entirely new era. I think that you're right.
Starting point is 00:37:11 I think that there's a real possibility, but I think there's the great unknown, a great filter that will determine whether or not this is the launch pad of a brand new era. And that is, what is the energy behind this reformation after President Trump? The great question is how much of this is built upon the force of personality and will of one man, Donald Trump? And it's a great, it's a great question to ponder, Will. Without question, Donald Trump is a one of a kind. He is a once in a century type of leader. America has been incredibly blessed. We had General Washington at the start of our country. We had President Lincoln at the rebirth of our country. And we now have Donald Trump at the rejuvenation of our nation. the eve of our 250th birthday. There is no doubt that one of the things that all Republicans that precede President Trump are going to struggle with is that they're all going to come off not as exciting as him, because few can kind of match that really American icon thing
Starting point is 00:38:34 that he has going for him. But I know that President Trump, and I write about this in the book, I know that President Trump understands legacy. His father was an incredibly important part of his life. It's still, it's got a photo of him behind the Resolute Desk. So President Trump is going to set up J.D. Vance or whoever it is, who's going to carry on the baton of the America First Movement. And I think that even though Donald Trump is such a ubiquitous, force in this and it's hard to imagine his doctrines kind of continuing without his personality.
Starting point is 00:39:17 I actually think that we're going to do it because he's given us a roadmap and more than that he's taught us how to fight, Will. He's taught us how to fight and how to win. And all of these young guys, whether it's our good friend Pete Heggseth, secretary hegseth whether it is marco rubio secretary of state j d vance these guys are getting the most amazing training up close and personal with a guy that is a at least once in a century type leader and they're going to learn they're going to see they're watching they're observing and i'm telling you what I think America's hands, America is going to be in very, very good hands. I have and I will be inviting J.D. Vance to watch the University of Texas against the Ohio
Starting point is 00:40:14 State Buckeyes, game one on Fox, this coming college football season. I hope that we get to watch that together. We can do it from Columbus, the Will Kane Show. As I was listening to Utah, it just did occur to me. I think this is going to be worthy of a deeper dive in the future here. And that is the first term of President Trump was defined in many ways by chaos and firings. People didn't last around Donald Trump. And there became this mantra like, you don't want to work for Donald Trump. The first hundred plus days of this administration show just the opposite. When he has people around him, they're loyal to him, he's loyal to them, and he defends them. And he has shown that with Secretary Heggseth over and over. And it'll be fascinating to see
Starting point is 00:40:51 those relationships. And as you point out, that foundation for the future build over the next four years. Okay, Mar-Lago to Mars. Out now, Nick. Amazon, that's the back of the book. Nobody can see the title. Yep. Hold the front of the book where everybody can see the title. Sorry, Will. From down under, it's always a bit of a challenge. You can go to Amazon. From down under, it's always upside down. Yes, exactly. Yeah, you can go to Amazon. You can go to where all great books are sold. From Mar-a-Lago to Mars, President Trump's great American comeback. I was with the president in the Oval Office a few weeks ago. He wants it to become a bestseller.
Starting point is 00:41:32 So please get out there and get the book, one for you, one for your wife, one for your kid, whatever you can. All right. So awesome. All right. Nick Adams, always great to see you, man. Take care. It's a pleasure.
Starting point is 00:41:47 All right. Let's have a party. Mavericks with the number one overall pick, but is it rigged? And what will Nico do? Will he ruin this as well next on the Will Cain Show. Starting point is 00:42:39 Don't mess it up, Nico. It is the Will Kane show streaming live at foxnews.com on the Fox News YouTube channel and the Fox News Facebook page. Hit subscribe at Apple or on Spotify and join us here in the Willis show. Over on the side of the Willisha, Renard Garland says, as a black man, I'm tired of the race card. If I ever needed it, I can't use it.
Starting point is 00:43:07 And I have never needed it in 64 years. Pete Christo says, I like Stephen A. Smith. He seems pretty straightforward and unafraid. Addie Playa says, The other side tries to make it all about race, when the truth is we just love our nation. It's unfortunate. And finally, bottom line, Caroline says, is the protester in New Jersey going to pray for the victims of these perpetrators that are detained as well?
Starting point is 00:43:36 Meanwhile, last night, in the NBA, the NBA draft lotto was held, and the Mavericks got the number one overall pick. Watch. The second pick will be made by the San Antonio Spurs. And that means that the number one pick in the 2025 NBA draft goes to the Dallas Mavericks. Rolando Blackman all smiles, four-time all-star celebrating the Dallas Mavericks had a 1.8% chance to win the number one pick overall. They had 1.8% chance of getting the number one overall pick. It's a renewal of hope. It doesn't replace Luca.
Starting point is 00:44:28 But I begged and plead for it yesterday afternoon. I said, please, NBA, go full WWE, go full corruption. Give the Dallas Mavericks Cooper flag. Let it be. Let the corruption and sanity reign because it will be so fun. So is it rigged to a day's dam? I mean, I'm not a conspiracy theorist. Tinfoil Pat is not here, but I might have to take that wrong.
Starting point is 00:44:53 and it might be a little tiny bit rigged because it's too good to be true. Sorry to Berksie. All right, well, let's just look at the evidence. In the 1980s was the famous Patrick Ewing draft where the New York Knicks won the lotto to draft Patrick Ewing. To this day, it is suspected
Starting point is 00:45:12 that that was rigged for the New York Knicks. David Stern, then commissioner of the NBA, understood it was a holistic business. You got to have big stars and big markets. And theory goes, they used to draw envelopes out of a bin. The theory is they froze the New York Knicks envelope, the frozen envelope conspiracy,
Starting point is 00:45:32 so that when they reached in for an envelope, they could feel the cold one, and that was the New York Knicks, awarding them Patrick Hewing. Many people buy into it, many, many big-time stars. Many people are saying. There are stars who've bought into a lot of these theories. Let me give you some more.
Starting point is 00:45:51 How about this? in 2011 the NBA owned the franchise of the New Orleans Hornets because they had to get it out of bankruptcy give it back from an owner when they owned the Hornets they vetoed David Stern vetoed a trade of Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers for quote unquote basketball competitive reasons but then afterwards the Hornets got the number one overall pick in the NBA draft lottery that became Anthony Davis. That same year, LeBron James famously announced the decision to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat. What happened immediately after LeBron left Cleveland?
Starting point is 00:46:34 Whoops, they jumped up in the lottery, got number one of all pick, took Kyrie Irving. In fact, they got the number one pick several times it seemed to make up for LeBron James. Then again, after Anthony Davis was forced to be traded. from New Orleans to the Los Angeles Lakers who got the number one overall pick again jumping from I believe it was number seven to number one in odds the New Orleans then Pelicans
Starting point is 00:47:00 and they picked it they picked Zion Williamson it's happened the key seems to be in this League of Miracles as said by Joe House on the Bill Simmons podcast trade your star trade your star to the Lakers
Starting point is 00:47:15 get the number one of all pick people are saying the deal was made to the Mavericks. Hey, we need better ratings in Los Angeles. We need a superstar with LeBron to inherit the place after LeBron. Hey, Mavs, trade Luca to Luka to L.A. We will give you the number one pick. We'll give you Cooper Flag. So does that sell it for you two a days? I don't know. All I can think about is just conspiracy music. I don't know. It doesn't really sell it for me that much. But I have a question for you. Well, the music helps. I know. I have a question for you. Do, is it time to get rid of the NBA lottery draft?
Starting point is 00:47:57 Well, here's how the lottery does work. You know that there was like three or four teams that tanked this season. And the lotto is designed to disincentivized tanking. Yeah. And the Maverickus got first, the Spurs got second, and the Sixers got third. They were not your top four teams with the highest odds to win the lotto. Those teams tanked, and they didn't end up with it. They ended up with four through seven. So it serves its purpose. Now, you could argue, well, the draft should work like the NFL. It's a socialist scheme designed to help the worst and the least among us, and therefore you should get the number and overall pick. But I don't know, I mean, obviously don't ask me this today, because I don't care if it's corrupt. I don't care if it's rigged. It's rigged
Starting point is 00:48:42 for a good cause and that is Dallas is the number four media market in the country and we were done wrong our fans. Now Nico doesn't deserve this he doesn't deserve this joy. In fact this kind of makes you bitter when you see the way Nico Harrison and the Dallas Mavericks executives reacted
Starting point is 00:48:58 to getting the number one overall pick. They're very excited. They are overjoyed. They are celebrating and high-fiving Nico Harrison at the center. People talking about the redemption for Nico Harrison. He doesn't deserve it for the horrific trade of Luca Donchage, but the Mavs fans do. We've been put through the absolute wringer. Now, because of that, it's kind of interesting.
Starting point is 00:49:22 This came up. I immediately started thinking this because, all right, who is Cooper Flagg, first of all? Of course, Cooper Flagg is 18 years old. He's from Duke. And he's probably the biggest draft prospect since Zion Williamson. You know, in football, we always talk about the John Elway, Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck level of number one overall pick, which is different than the Cam Ward level, which we saw this year, right? A higher level of number one. Cooper Flag is not your everyday number one overall pick. He is higher. And I texted some friends who cover the NBA. How high? Like, what is he? He's not Victor Wimbenaya, the San Antonio Spurs kid from a year ago. No, they said, but that kind of guy comes along once every 10, 15 years. That's the LeBron level.
Starting point is 00:50:09 But he is, and I was sent a clip by Jay Billis of ESPN on the Ryan Rassillo podcast. He said he is in the Anthony Davis range, better than Palo Boncherro, who was pretty big, and better than Zion. Now, Zion was unique in a lot of ways, and he's been injured and he hasn't been able to fulfill who he was. He was amazing. But Cooper Flag is higher than those guys, a higher level prospect. The hard thing about Cooper Flag is he's good at every. everything. Like defense, shooting, dribbling, passing. But he doesn't like have one thing where you're like, oh, he's unstoppable in this one way. You don't see that yet. Now, I have a question
Starting point is 00:50:53 for you. Did you think Cooper Flagg looked unhappy that the Mavs won the lotto? Yeah. He looked pretty unhappy. He was like, oh, cool. Good. Cool. Awesome. I'm going to Dallas Mavericks. Great. That was kind of his reaction. Why? I don't know. Well, maybe he's trying to be neutral. I don't know. It could just be that.
Starting point is 00:51:15 He just doesn't want to show any kind of emotion because it's not set in stone or anything. But, yeah. Would he rather go to the Utah Jazz or the Washington Wizards? Like, why? That doesn't make any sense to me. Well, my thought is, I actually, when I saw the interview that he was interviewed afterwards
Starting point is 00:51:31 and he showed no emotion and he dodged everything. And people are like, oh, he does not want to be there. I actually saw what you saw, that he's trying to be neutral. Yeah. And you have to be neutral because he's not yet. I think it's a little weird for everybody to be like, how does it feel you're going to be a Dallas Maverick?
Starting point is 00:51:46 Well, he's not. There's a long time still before the draft. And it's not done. And there's nobody in Dallas that is going to sleep easy. I mean, Nico Harrison trade by Luca Donchich. Like, why would I trust he's going to draft Cooper Flagg? It's insane. He could draft Ace Bailey from Rutgers and like, why would we be surprised, right?
Starting point is 00:52:03 Or he could trade it. But I toyed with this. I was like, okay, there's rumors that Yonis Anta Kumpo, who I love from the Milwaukee Bucks, is open to being traded out of Milwaukee. And I was like, Cooper flag for Yonis? And I even joked around Cooper flag for Luca? Like, get Luca back.
Starting point is 00:52:26 But I was surprised how many people were like, no, no to Yonis. I mean, Yonis is an MVP, a champion. He's basically unstoppable, and he's a great dude. But everybody's like, well, he's 30. I don't care. In the NBA, you have, he doesn't have injury history. He's durable.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Eight more years. I mean, Yonis could play another seven, eight, seven, eight more years, right? A pretty dominant basketball. He's got unique, unique gifts. I don't think you could do it financially with Yonis, Anthony Davis, and Kyrie. I don't think that would really work.
Starting point is 00:53:00 You'd be paying so much money. But the best argument is made to me by Mavs fans. They're like, look, I don't know if Dallas is a unique market because I'm sure Milwaukee feels this way about Yonis. But we have a long history now in Dallas of really loving and cheering for our guy and when he wins a championship,
Starting point is 00:53:20 it meaning more than a team of mercenaries to win championships. And that was, that groundwork was laid by Dirk Novitsky. 20 years here. And I've told you guys this. I don't know that there's a more beloved sports figure in Dallas, maybe only Roger Staubach. And that's getting pretty old. right that's a long time ago
Starting point is 00:53:39 Troy but I would say Dirk is probably more beloved even than man it's close with Aitman and Emmett and those guys from the Cowboys 90s because of the loyalty that he showed to Dallas and that's what hurts so bad about Luca it felt like Dirk's story reborn
Starting point is 00:53:57 and every indication is Luka wanted to stay in Dallas was buying a house in Dallas and a new house and was going to be here for another 10 years from age 25 to 35 which would given us 15 years of Luca. And if we got one or two championships out of that, that would be a dream. And so the argument that made
Starting point is 00:54:15 to me is we need our guy. And Cooper Flagg could be that guy that we fall in love with, ride the highs and lows with for the next decade plus, and you don't trade that for five years of Janus. Go ahead. To it. By the way, why did I just think Luca was way older than 26 years old?
Starting point is 00:54:31 I don't know why I thought he's been in the league for like 15 years. That's crazy to me. He's only 26. Holy crap. Thus highlighting the insanity and stupidity of trading him, you know. He's just now entering his prime. So I get that. We won our guy.
Starting point is 00:54:50 And I've got to tell you, I love the idea of Kyrie, Anthony Davis, and Cooper Flagg. That makes sense to me. He's a young guy. He's 18. He doesn't have to be the alpha. Kyrie's the alpha. Complementing Anthony Davis. And by the way, that gives him avericks.
Starting point is 00:55:05 This is deep sports talk, because I know you all love. that gives the mafrix a heavy front court like five guys like derrick lively daniel gafford p j washington anthony davis cooper flag you can't get minutes for all those guys so now they have to trade and they could get another really good player for one of those guys and all of a sudden what was so depressing is full of hope in dallas the thing by the way people are giving nico credit remember this had nothing to do with the luca trade like this isn't the They didn't get this pick from the Lakers. They get a pick, I believe it's in 27, from the Lakers, the one pick that they got.
Starting point is 00:55:44 So this pick, it is connected to Luka only in this one way. If the Mavericks had kept Luka, they wouldn't have been in the lottery. I believe that. They would have been in the playoffs, and they wouldn't even been in this lottery. But by, think of the events it had to happen. They traded Luca, Anthony Davis got hurt, then Karee got hurt, and all that led up to them with their 1.8 percent. chance in the lottery, which they won. So miracle or rigged, I don't care. I want Cooper Flag
Starting point is 00:56:16 in Dallas. So there's a greater than zero chance. The Mavericks ownership or some element of it is listening right now. There is a greater than zero chance. And what I will say is walk into that office, look Nico in the eye, and say, you are drafting Cooper Flagg, there will be no discussion, this is the future of the Mavericks. And if there is any pushback by the first plane ticket out of Texas. That's going to do it for us today here on The Will Kane show. We appreciate you hanging out with this.
